中国的展品极少，所以不能用参观大英博物馆和大都会博物馆的心态来参观这里！闲来逛逛也是不错的体验！

Paid street parking could be a challenge but I was visiting in between medical appts at Swedish and parked there then walked to the Frye. Parking garage in between Marion and Madison at the Nordstrom Medical Tower is a good parking option if you need it. It’s an 8 minute walk to the Frye. Was happy that this space was small (but spacious) enough for me to visit and see everything within an hour so I wasn’t late to my appt. Wheelchair accessible, clean bathrooms, cute gift shop and welcoming staff.

Now it's free to the public, which is nice. The bookshop is gone but there's a small collection of books based on the exhibits they're having at the time available that are well priced. The cafe is okay in terms of quality, had a latte and it was fairly decent but what's really great in the cafe is that the prices are affordable and the cafe after 12pm is filled with undergraduates studying. Another exhibit had really fun colors, but looks like it was made in Microsoft paint when you’re im elementary school and wasting time in class. A lot of the exhibits felt that they could’ve been done by almost anyone which is maybe the point, that everybody should do art, and you don’t have to necessarily be extremely skilled and blessed at oil painting or sculpting etc beyond most people’s abilities. Anyway, it’s $20 a person on the weekend which feels really overpriced but it’s something to do for passing an hour of your life.

He is not just taking a photograph of an iconic view, rather he is masterfully capturing a well-crafted portion of his panorama with astonishing detail that not only reminds you of the outdoors - It *takes you there.* You FEEL it, much like Ansel Adams' work did nearly a hundred years ago - but even better with ravishing color and texture no one could even imagine back then. While viewing Lars' colorful pieces in my home (now for the 1000th time,) I still pause to appreciate a new detail that I hadn't noticed before. How many "pictures" can do that? This beats out every other museum in town and is one of the only museums in the world with such a comprehensive collection of working computers from every decade. They were previewing a documentary on the Apple Newton which was extremely interesting and they even invited some of the key figures in the Newton project to come up and answer questions. They also have shown off some new technologies like app based drag and drop robots that are able to be programmed to VR, to an old arcade set, to a telepresence robot that you can drive around. Three hours is not nearly enough to experience everything here. There's quite a few old computer systems including tons of games and software from back in the day. You can play timeless classics like Space War, Oregon Trail, Pong, Asteroids, etc from tons of old systems. The mainframe room is pretty cool with live systems. Also you can play chess against a super computer and if you win, get your picture in the hall of fame! I was in it today And noticed that they were doing some renovations. I hope they make this place what it once was because downtown seattle has lost all its vibrant retail shopping that it once had. I gave it 2/5 because it's still a really beautiful mall , even with all the empty storefronts. But for shopping or dining id give it 1/5. But the Thai place & fish n shower spot is really good.. the fish place is severely overpriced on some items and then others are about about the norm for the area. Lobster roll $65...I dont think so..lol

We got a tour and chatted with 4 or so of the volunteers and they were all smart and knowledgeable and passionate and had been there for 5 to 25 years.
