I have been wanting to visit an English tea house for a while and finally pulled the trigger on this place. Rather than booking online for a same day appointment, I decided to call to make sure they had availability. To my surprise, they had an opening that day for a limited time, but it was perfect for our schedule that day. We ended up arriving early and they offered to seat us at the best table in the house! Everything came out promptly and was surprisingly delicious. I was skeptical that there wouldn't be enough food for the two of us or that the food would be bland, but quite the opposite! There was so much flavor in each bite and everything was well balanced. We added the jam and the lemon curd (both for an extra charge and upgraded to the Royal tea for a little bubbly. The tea choices were also really good and we each had a pot to ourselves. This place is pricey, but most are and this, to me, was worth it. We were able to find parking right in front of the restaurant (limited to 2 hours). I will definitely be going back!

My mom and I visited Queen Mary's Tea Room for afternoon tea, and we were thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was absolutely delightful—perfectly capturing the essence of a traditional afternoon tea. We opted for the berry-flavored seasonal teas, which were delicious, and the staff even offered us a couple of additional tea samples to try, which was a nice touch.

We made reservations for tea on a weekday. Highly recommend weekdays. It is not as crowded. There is street parking available only. We ordered the tea service for 3 people. It's very quaint in the dining room. Decorated in a rich victorian style. Reservations are recommended. The scones were lovely with the chantilly cream. All the small sandwich bites were delicious and fresh. We each had our own choice of a pot tea. Accompanied milk options or almond milk available. They start you off with a trio of sorbet and butter tea cookie before the three tier of sandwiches come out to the table.
This is a great treat for birthdays, meeting a friend or treating a loved one to lunch or high tea.
The bathrooms are small water closets. It can be a tight squeeze for those who are tall or handicap. Friendly service and relaxing environment!

It's definitely a fancy (and pricey) way to enjoy a cup of tea. I really like the cozy and charming atmosphere, it feels like a step back in time. The food is just okay, but the experience makes up for it. One of my daughters loves this place, so it’s become a special spot for us. The place is beautiful. Very cosy, wonderful furnishings, many interesting antique tea cups and saucers on display. The personnel is very nice. One thing that I did not like/understand is the following: there is bottomless tea service. You can order a kettle with one type of tea and order a second one with another type of tea. So, if you are ordering a new tea, they will bring you that tea in a fresh kettle. If you are ordering the same tea/second kettle, they want you to use the same tea bag. Does not make sense since they are giving you a fresh kettle with a fresh tea bag if you order a second kettle with a different tea (included in the price). Do I recommend this place? Yes.

It was such a special and extraordinary treat to spend an afternoon with my best friends at the Tea Room. Walking in, I felt like I was taken to another place and immediately was overcome by how cute and sweet everything was! The staff were so friendly and warm, the food was delicious, and I had the Blackberry Sage Tea which was amazing. It had a perfect blend of jasmine tea flavor with warm hearty milk and just the right amount of sweetness. My friend got the ceremonial matcha which she said was super strong so as a strong matcha drinker myself, I would love to try it next time! They have some tea out on the counter that’s free to samples which I absolutely loved!
There’s some desks and chairs in the cafe but be warned this is a very popular cafe (and rightfully so with their wonderful tea and kind service) so don’t always bet on getting a place to sit at every time you go.

Miri Tea was a wonderful find. The staff were helpful and the Tea selection was excellent. I love the fact that you can choose to have a cup, a pot or an entire Gong Fu experience. As a Tea Ceremonialist, this is what drew me here and I was not disappointed.
The merchandise wall was also beautifully stocked with all the things a person might need to bring the Moro Tea experience home.
Highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

Two visitors from Canada wanted to check out this place after hearing about it online. Nestled in Wallingford I actually didn't know it existed until they asked me to take them there. The store was very clean, they had a sample area set up, the support of LGBTQIA community was clear, they had some delicious tea pastries like danish wedding cookies and jam cookies, etc. from a local bakery on 45th. Their tea collection was respect worthy. But of particular note to me was the customer service. Mori was so great about providing helpful education about the different kinds of teas, what they were known for historically, how they function now, and was like a librarian of teas. I found this shop 9 years ago and it was beyond amazing. I don't get to Seattle often but when my cousin and I planned a trip for a concert I told her we had to go here. We ended up going both mornings for breakfast because they crumpets are so buttery good. They have so many options, but you can also customize to your liking.
The 1st morning I got egg ham and cheese while my cousin got pesto, ricotta and tomato. We spilt them so we could each try them. We DEVOURED them. The pesto tastes so fresh, the ricotta was perfect and brought all the flavors together. We wanted to get more but we decided to come back the next day.
The next morning I got ham, cheese and pesto. I got the lemon and ricotta to go. My cousin got the pesto, tomato and ricotta again as well as ricotta and raspberry.
The lemon curd wasn't too tart or sweet, it was the perfect texture. The ham and cheese and pesto tastes like an open faced grilled cheese. I wish I lived closer to this shop.
The crumpets are made in house and you can watch them make them.

This place is a "must go" when we're in Seattle. Crumpets are sort of like English muffins, but thinner. The variety of choices are wonderful, sweet, savory, or spicy, and everything I've tried has been superb.
It's not too much food, but it's worth it, plus you can walk around the market and have room for something else too!
Seating can be limited as it's a smaller dine in space, so keep that in mind.

After years of wondering what a crumpet was, I finally found out in Seattle, of all places. The Crumpet Shop is pretty famous and has a street entrance on First Ave, so no hills to climb or go down to eat here. I got the smoked salmon cream cheese with fresh cucumbers, and it was light but still filling. Plus, endless tea and coffee refills! My boyfriend got a bowl of groats, which he liked – he did say it was a bit sweeter than he expected, so next time he asked them to skip the brown sugar.

Cafe Flora is an amazing brunch spot! The interior is beautiful, especially the atrium. The balance of flavors in their dishes is amazing! My favorite dish has been their risotto, but I've loved everything else I have had. Yam fries are a must!!
I also highly recommend all of the desserts! I have yet to be disappointed. The Eton Mess is especially tasty: light & fresh, sweet, tart, perfectly balanced
Their drinks are also exceptionally well-crafted! I'm a sucker for the black sesame latte or the mango-passionfruit nog if you want something lighter.
The service has always been wonderful. Staff is kind and attentive, and the one time there was a mix up, they own up to it and did their best to offer alternatives.
Suitable for all group sizes, but you will have a shorter wait time if you dine alone or with 2 people. However, it is definitely worth the wait, as evidence by the line out the door you often see at Cafe Flora.

This place has a cool menu! Some really nice vegetarian friendly dishes on a random weekday. The hot chocolate was tasty and not too sweet. The pumpkin cinnamon roll was large but easily shared with others. The entree was solid. Garlic greens were a surprise for me but quite the hit.
Service and atmosphere was top notch and no concerns.
Would absolutely visit again when in the Seattle area.

Great dining option for vegans, vegetarians, and the plant based curious!
Been to Cafe Flora a couple of times on different occasions when in Seattle visiting. They have a TON of menu items that spoil vegans with items not always found at other restaurants. I’ve been consistently happy with my meals and never leaving hungry. I’ve had a leek risotto with a side salad. This was probably the favorite item I’ve ever ordered from Cafe Flora. Tons of flavor, good texture, and super creamy.
I ordered a cocktail once and wasn’t super happy with it. It was way too much sugar and left with a headache. I’ve also found that although the restaurant is pretty clean sometimes the menus are dirty and my table this last trip was sticky. I get it, this is a pretty high volume restaurant at times, but things could be wiped down a little better.
If you’re in town visiting or a local that just hasn’t been brave enough or had the time to give this place a chance I’d highly recommend it.

Went there on a relaxing Friday evening and was really impressed by the atmosphere and the vibe. When it came to food the menu felt very limited. So we decided to order their speciality coffee burnt maple latte. We liked the hot version better than iced (was too sweet). Came here on a Sunday for brunch with a friend (about 10:30) and the wait was 30 minutes or so. I gave this place 3 stars because of the disappointment in our experience. I had no expectations and I was still let down. We ordered the pumpkin spice cinnamon roll and it lacked the pumpkin flavor, but it was still really good for a cinnamon roll. I’d also recommend it being served with the knife on the side, it was stabbed through the center like it was murdered before serving and while we did visit near Halloween time, nothing about this dish necessitated a knife sticking straight up into it (also bad for pics)
We ordered the mochi beignets and those were disappointingly dense. I was hoping it was pillowy and chewy but the batter tasted like it still had unmixed flour and it came out very hard and didn’t pair well with the sauce.
We ordered a pear tartine (not pictured) that also wasn’t as good as we hoped. The pear could have been cooked longer to get softer, it was served on a sourdough slice which we didn’t expect though could be errr on our part not reading the description, but what got us was that the hazelnuts were not good. They tasted like they had been sitting around long enough for the oils in the nuts to spoil and go rancid, not to mention it was still raw and not toasted which could have disguised that taste a little better, not that I would have preferred that.
The one thing that I did enjoy at Cafe Flora was the smoked maple latte. The smell was incredible and tasted amazing with oat milk sub. Ambience and service were great but food was a huge miss for us this visit 😕

Went to the Labubu tea service and I am not sure what I was expecting but they definitely blew those expectations away. Got to try out a bunch of top notch teas but I have to say that the Earl Grey and Peach tea were too good for me to not indulge heavily in those. That Earl Grey was absolutely floral and delicious. It could honestly be potpourri if you didn't want to brew it but that would be a waste. Already planning on going back for either the Kpop Demonhunter event in October, the Phantom of the Opera event in November or the Nutcracker event in December. Go for the kickass tea but soak in the tea-rivia as well because the servers are highly knowledgeable. I feel like a better tea person just for going there!

My friend and I went to FogRose yesterday (11/9) for their Afternoon High Tea and it was fantastic! They do a different theme every month and this one was Phantom of the Opera. They incorporated some really cute details to compliment the theme, including the music score playing softly in the tea room. The tea was great and the food was DIVINE! I'm not a big tea drinker but I really enjoyed all of the teas I tried, most notably the Secret Garden green tea and a Rose black tea that I'm forgetting the name of right now. There was a mix of savory and sweet foods to enjoy. Everything was delicious and there was more than enough for the two of us (we even each had a little to-go box for the desserts we weren't able to finish). Finally, the service?! 10/10. So friendly, so knowledgeable about the teas, and very warm/welcoming. I've seen people make note about the price, but I think it was well worth it for the quality and experience. I would definitely recommend this place for a brunch, special occasion, or girls day out. I will definitely be back!

The milk tea is very fragrant and tasted really good. Boba was just so so but still good. There is no place to sit so order and take to go only. The drinks came out super fast. While I live in Indianapolis, I'm usually in Seattle a couple of times a year. I’ve been a tea drinker for over 20 years and have recently gotten into Taiwanese oolongs. When I found Floating Leaf on Google Maps, I added it to the list of many joints in Ballard I wanted to visit.
I made the trip up there with my teenage kid and met Shiuwen and Noah upon arrival. I’d started watching their YouTube channel, and they’re just as personable in person as they are in the videos. They seemed like old friends even though we’d just met. They set me up with a couple ounces each of several oolongs, and Noah sent a small sampler bag of bug bitten Diva along with us. I’m now kicking myself for not buying a few ounces.
Now that I’m home, I’ve been playing with steeping times on all the teas, and am doing some “grandpa style” drinking. It’s so relaxing to have this small ritual during a busy work day. Overall, I am more than satisfied with my trip here, and plan on visiting on all my trips to Seattle in the future. Keep up the great work!

So grateful to have a shop like this in Seattle. Fantastic Taiwanese oolongs spanning a wide range of flavors and budgets. My favorites I've tried here have been the Buddha's Hand and Sunburst. I haven't tried their non-oolong teas.

I can not recommend this place enough.
My sisters and I went here for a tea class and the owner was knowledgeable, funny, and extreamly skillful. She taught us a lot and explained things in a way that even a beginner could grasp. Learning this style of tea has become a real source of joy for us and this class helped all three of us expand in that in different ways. We are already looking forward to coming back for another class on our next trip to Seattle.
If you are interested in gongfu style tea, Chinese style tea, or Taiwanese style tea this place is a must. Make time for a class on your next trip. You won't regret it.

Over the weekend I hosted my baby shower here (party of 27 people) and it was absolutely perfect! I had booked the larger room as well as the smaller garden room and both of them were so stunning. My guests couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! Christy and her staff took care of everything and made it so easy and fun. The tea selection was top notch and all of the foods on the tea towers were divine. 1000/10 recommend.
PS for a baby/bridal shower I definitely recommend booking the extra hour (for 3 hours booked total time) because then you have plenty of time to greet guests, enjoy the full tea party experience, play games, open gifts, take photos etc without feeling rushed to squeeze in all of the shower activities.

I loved the “Spooktacular Haunted Halloween Tea Party” yesterday! My husband and I dressed up as CareBears and attended the 4:30pm adult seating. The teas, purple potion champagne cocktails, spiderweb soup, and afternoon tea finger foods were all fantastic! We were happy to see other diners and staff were in costumes as well.
The atmosphere was awesome, with the dim lighting, creepy decor, and ghost floating above on the ceiling. The only small downside was that there was supposed to be a ghost story about the ghost haunting the building Graham’s RoyalTea is in, but that didn’t end up happening. Still though, it was an cool and delicious experience on Halloween night! We hope to come back in the future for more events. 😊🎃

Thank you to Christy and the Royal Tea team for hosting our private party at 11AM on a Friday. I hosted fifteen bridesmaids prior to my wedding for a fun girls day out. It was easy to schedule with Christy, and fun to personalize the decor (napkin color, tablecloth color, style of centerpiece) to fit the mood of our event.

The table must not have been wiped down from prior guests because there were crumbs under the lace. After other guests left I did not see them change out the table cloths, in this COVID time, that makes me wonder….
Also the “ finger sandwiches “ were barely a bite and the bread was hard , as if done too early and not covered. The turkey pinwheel was browned. While the salad was room temperature , it was the best thing I had , very flavorful. The scones were hard, and cool , clotted cream was served but no jam . I did not eat the sweets but if you would probably be very disappointed in the size.

Tea selection is great. Taste is nice. However the vibe doesn’t match with the tea house concept. The place is full packed, too noisy with undergrads loudly talking about their situationship. On top of that, music selection is mostly loud pop or EDM. Why is it playing Paris by Chainsmokers? Every single person across the entire experience expressed exceptional hospitality - from booking our room to dining in the Stella to checking in and out, we had an incredible time. Staying at the Sorrento was actually the highlight of our trip to downtown Seattle. I have dietary restrictions that make traveling challenging and was able to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant with incredible service. The hotel bathroom was beautiful and had unique historic details that you won't find in a modern build like wide shelves in the shower and beautiful tiles. Our room was upgraded before we arrived to check in and we greatly enjoyed having a TV in each room of the King Suite and a wonderful collection of books from history to romance. These small details elevate a stay and were very pleasant details that made the hotel feel even more authentic and historic. The entire building is absolutely gorgeous - the patio outside is so lovely and the details inside are so historic and welcoming. They even changed the doormat in the elevator to match the day of the week and you can enjoy historic Thanksgiving menus of the past framed in the lobby. During our stay, there was a private event with a live pianist playing in the Fireside Room - a truly delightful experience. Every person we encountered clearly loved their job and were so kind and offered a level of hospitality that is not commonly experienced. We will always stay at this hotel when traveling to Seattle. We found the valet parking to be incredibly convenient and helpful and the location to downtown Seattle made for the perfect walk to the waterfront and Pikes Place Market. For a luxurious, convenient, and relaxing stay this is the hotel to choose. The room rate was very accessible for the entire experience - the room, bathroom, building, lobby, patio, and restaurant are all absolutely beautiful, historic, and elegant.

I can’t begin to explain what a magical hotel this is. First time staying here and the entire place transports you back into time but with upgraded amenities. The hotel is beautifully vintage and kept up so well. It’s clean, quiet, and so incredibly comfortable. The beds were amazing, the room was in perfect condition and I never felt in need of anything!
The best part about the hotel…the people. All of the staff were absolutely lovely, kind, funny and caring individuals that immediately made my friend and I at ease and they took such great care of our entire stay. Cheese (the tiniest little mascot pup) was such a quiet comfort I didn’t know I needed as I was missing my pups at home. The food from Stella was phenomenal and the bar was perfectly stocked with my favorite whiskey. I don’t think I could have asked for a better weekend and I definitely found my hotel anytime I come to visit Seattle which I hope is often! Thank you for everything - you all are a very special bunch!

Excellent experience! The staff was extremely helpful. This hotel does not have central A/C but we had a floor unit that did the job. The street noise was somewhat significant, so we asked for a floor fan and that helped a lot. Nice location with a little convenience store nearby. Also, Seattle is hilly! We were delighted with our Sorrento Suite king. The two rooms were very comfortable and would easily accommodate a family of 3-4. The bed, bedding, pillows were well appointed and so comfortable. Our room overlooked the entrance and patio area. I have stayed here twice now and I love this "old" hotel. The staff is wonderful. Very attentive, gracious and accommodating. Valet parking is a breeze. We stayed here because we had an early morning medical procedure schedule. The next time we come, it will be for pleasure and not a doctor's visit.

Second-their milk tea is not even good. I ordered Oolong milk tea and it tasted soooo bitter and unsmooth, my tongue felt weird for at least an hour. Could have made myself better one than that.

I remember trying Young Tea during covid and it was so good I was waiting to come back to Seattle so that I could get my dose again.
I got their Iron Buddha Milk Tea with 30% sugar, light ice and tapioca. I was looking forward to this moment for so long but when I took my first sip, I was shocked at how watered down it tasted. It tasted like you brewed tea with too much water then added the tiniest splash of milk. The tea flavor was not strong at all and there was no creamy/silky mouthfeel I remember experiencing from the time I got it during covid. I was truly disappointed with my drink and given the price you pay, I don't think it's worth it.

The signature milk tea is a Ceylon based .I chose the Assam. The milk tea had good flavors, probably the most "tea taste" of all the places. You can customize ice and sweetness levels.
Besides milk tea, they also serve some jelly/pudding.
Great neighborhood bubble tea shop. They close by 7pm which is a bit early but the ave(u district) is only a 20 min walk.
There is no parking lot but plenty of street parking! It is also near a bus line.

The Chef’s Tasting (only available Fridays and Saturdays) is phenomenal. We had the fall menu in November and the winter menu this week - both were seasonal, creative, and truly delicious. The 5 course menu starts with a few snacks and then proceeds through a pretty standard progression. The highlights are the surprising pairings (like Dungeness crab and Napa cabbage) and influences such as the Kalbi marinade for the steelhead and finger limes serving as the acidic pop.
Chef Luke’s food is up there with the best restaurants in Seattle, and the ambience of the restaurant is lovely as well. Highly recommend - we’ll be back for another special occasion soon!

I was very pleased to find this spot for lunch. I usually check other people's reviews and photos, and this one had really good comments and the food looked great.
I tried the fresh juice (pineapple recovery) and it was delicious. We also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the mushroom frittata.

First time, but we will be back. Gorgeous settling in the woods of this old monetary. Inside is nicely decorated but outside views are unmatched. I came in for a weekday lunch with my wife and it was amazing! Shout out to our server, Valerie, who took good care of us and Chef Kolpin for cooking us a tasty meal.
We ordered some brussel sprouts and beets for appetizers, the steak salad and fish and chips for entrees, and had the poricini mushroom creme brulee for dessert. We also had the non alcoholic cocktails on their menus, which I can't remember the names of right now. Everything was excellent, presented beautifully, and fresh/hot.
The ambience was low-key and classy as well, with soft jazz playing. Since it was a weekday lunch, the place was pretty empty so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.
I'd definitely come back for dinner or one of the preset menu events that they have from time to time.

Stopped by for my round the sun celebration and all was just...ok.
Upon arrival, there wasn't anyone to show me to my table. Upon figuring that out, I was given the choice of tables as the place was not busy at all. The server was a little inexperienced and it showed. He rattled all the wines available from memory and I was already catching on, so no questions were asked as I'm not a wine drinker.
The daily specials were mentioned briefly and then the promise of dessert, my favorite part of the meal.
I ordered the equivalent of a 5 course meal as none was available in the menu.
I found the food offerings uninspired. As a person who cooks, I appreciate expanding my culinary horizons when visiting a fine dining restaurant. Even my dislike of mushrooms is flexible when eating at a reasonable rated location.
The pasta course was my favorite. All was cooked well but there wasn't anthing I could not do at home. Plating needs to be more creative. I'll try their brunch next and see if both the service and food improve.

However, the food this time we ordered was not so satisfying. We ordered two wagyu brunch burgers as it was one of the most unique(expensive) choices on the menu. But after that lunch we all had some kinds of diarrhea. As we ordered the burgers for medium, not medium rare, I’m not sure if the ingredient was fresh enough. Atulea is the most creative matcha teahouse/cafe I've ever been. You can basically customize anything on their menu into a matcha drink. I struggled between pineapple matcha, black sesame matcha and ube matcha. A paradise for matcha lovers.

This was such a find next to Pike Market! Finding and buying tea here was very comprehensive and also very easy. I told the worker some flavors I liked and she brought out some recommendations. We visited the Centennial Tea to celebrate a family member visiting, and while we’d been to the secret bar, regular bar, and restaurant at this historic hotel, this was our first time for tea. The real highlight here is definitely the ambiance—the hotel’s century-old charm creates a chic, nostalgic setting that’s wonderful to take in. They’re currently celebrating 100 years, and there was a special tea blend offered for the occasion. I ordered it but later regretted doing so, as they gifted everyone a box of the blend at the end of the service.
The food was decent but not especially memorable. The cucumber sandwich was somewhat unbalanced, with the bread overpowering the filling, and though the desserts were fine, the Madeleine was the standout. The egg sandwich was the best of the savory bites; a few others had flavors that felt a bit muddled. Portions were generous—honestly, one tower would have been plenty for my husband and me to share. For those interested, there’s the option to order mimosas or other alcoholic drinks.
One minor drawback is the seating. Tea is served in the bar area, where the vintage armchairs, while charming, aren’t particularly comfortable for eating. Larger groups seem to get tables, but if you’re a couple, you might be seated in the corridor with foot traffic passing by. Service was attentive, perhaps a bit overly.

The Fremont is a high-end hotel in the Seattle downtown area. We decided to go have a quick night cap at the bar inside. It was packed and very lively, which was a nice surprise for a Thursday night. They had an event going on in their main event hall. We sat at the bar and got greeted immediately but the service was slow. I understand because it was very busy. We decided to order food and after about 45 minutes we asked where our order was. The server was baffled and couldn’t believe we hadn’t received our food. He checked with the kitchen, and they told him they were out of what we ordered, which was the chicken lollipops. Bad communication on their part. We ordered something else and then it took another 45 minutes to come out. I’m surprised we even stayed that long but we had a lot of fun talking with the other customers. We ordered more drinks to keep us occupied as well and it still took a long time to get our drink. We heard other customers talking about how bad the service was. I think they were really overwhelmed but the servers were still nice and kind. It’s not their fault they didn’t have enough staff on hand. Let’s talk about the food when it finally came out. We ordered the Mediterranean platter and the Smoked Duck Tartine. I don’t have much to write about the Mediterranean plate since it was just hummus with chips basically. Pita bread would’ve been a better compliment. The Duck Tartine was good, but the ricotta overpowered the duck. The duck was great without the ricotta! They ended up comping our food since it took forever which was the right thing to do. Hopefully the management will get more people to staff the bar when they have events on site. The atmosphere here is amazing feels like an old rustic vibe. I’ll be back to give them another shot!

We found out about this place when looking for a place to celebrate a birthday. High tea requires a 24 hour notice but after the treats we had we were glad to have made a feast from the menu. We tried three of the savory pastries as well as the sandwiches and enjoyed them all. One came with an absolutely fantastic gravy and I don’t like gravy. It really was amazing. We went on to sweets and tried several cookies and three little cakes. All delicious. We could not eat everyone so had snacks fir the next day. We topped our feast with the red expresso drinks, one with almond milk, the other regular milk and one hot chocolate. My partner and I shared the almond milk one so there drink were plenty for four but they are so delicious I’ll get my own next time. Not a fan of almond milk but the red tea with it was perfect. Loved the educational decor. Appreciated the pleasant and helpful staff.

Cashier was super patient and helpful. He was very enthusiastic about the food and drinks and answer all my questions. I ordered the red latte and fresh baked scones per his recommendation.
Latte come with a small cookie. It was too sweet and creamy for me. It tasted like tea-flavored milk.
The scones were very dense and look and taste like biscuits. They were plain and came with cream, cheese and jam. They were pretty heavy for an afternoon snack.
Service deserve five stars but food and drinks were nothing to write home about.

Authentic tea shop with a wide selection of teas you can't find anywhere else. The gentleman inside was very friendly and helpful, he even invited us to taste as many teas as we liked. He helped guide us to good teas and made recommendations based on what he enjoys as well. We ended up purchasing Pu erh and Blue People both of which were extremely delicious. They sell some small tea cups, pots and other assorted items as well. There was no charge to try all the different teas and we really enjoyed the experience.

I just left this place thinking what a cool experience. I am new to tea as of today so i walked in with alot of questions. Ben was so helpful with me. He helped describe the teas and what each has to offer. He let me sample a few and showed me how to make the tea with the eazy cup which i purchased. I walked out with my first batch of loose tea Blue People Oolong and the Eazy cup. The tea was sealed in a nice bag with directions. Found this diamond in the rough and could not be more happy. Excellent coffee which is what we really needed after 2 weeks in the USA. Respectfully, Americans don't do good coffee but they do here. My daughter's and I have attended the Christmas Afternoon Tea three different years. What a disappointment this year was. The service was its usual top notch. The food went drastically downhill compared to the high quality of previous years. The sandwich bread this year was stale, the fillings not anything noteworthy, the scones just so so, and the desserts not especially good. My daughter ordered the vegan tea and said her sandwiches were inedible. She left the tea hungry.

My sisters hosted a wonderful baby shower for me at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Our server was David and he made our day very special, not just for me, but for the entire party. We are very grateful for him!!
It was our first time here. He helped us with the menu, including special teas to choose from and scrumptious food and desserts from the tier. From start to end, he was always sweet, warm and generous, making sure we were taken cared of. I was fairly concerned about what my experience would be based on so many negative reviews on various platforms. I was mostly pleased with this afternoon tea. There was plenty of food and tea for two of us. In fact, we took our desserts to go. The finger sandwiches were delicious though the wheat bread on the egg salad sandwiches was hard, all the other breads were great. The scones were good but not as good as I had hoped, and the amount of lemon curd, jam and cream was not quite enough for the two of us. (Didn’t know if we could have asked for more?) The desserts were quite good.
The tea was excellent, though I’m certainly not a tea connoisseur. My friend had the creamy Earl Grey and I had the hotel’s Centennial offering.
The service from our server, Caleb, was perfect! He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, and even offered to take pictures of us.
Our main issue with the experience, besides the high cost, was the environment. Our table for two was very small and barely fit the tea and dishes. It was also right on the walkway so there was the distraction of people constantly walking past. The sound level was very high and we found ourselves having to move in closer to hear each other, frequently having to repeat ourselves. About an hour in, a group of six was seated right next to us. They were loud, but that was to be expected from a group of that size and given the overall sound level they also had to deal with. Their closeness to us, however, meant we were constantly getting bumped into by the servers.
It was overall a good experience but not one I’ll likely repeat.

Me and my girlfriend went for a celebration and I didn't know what to expect since I've never been to a tea house but was really happy once I arrived and met zen dog he is incredibly knowledgeable about tea and brewing and pours perfect tea every single time. The art in his house is awesome and it covers the whole house including the back yard with a koi pond with one of the biggest kois I've ever seen. Stayed in the master suite which had plenty of room, a great bathtub that my wife enjoyed, and a very comfortable bed.
We had the place to ourself other than the person who was there to make breakfast and make sure we didn't sink the boat. She was very nice and had great historical information about the ship.

The first course was quiche and salad (not exactly high tea-ish but reasonably good) but the second course (in which I expected scones, clotted cream, finger sandwiches, and petit fours at least) was four or five stale store bought cookies. I had only signed up for the lower cost plan but received the same food as folks who had paid A LOT more. With so much that was delayed, unacceptable, and bizarre, I had half thought we might be comped for our "experience." No such luck. I received an invoice before I got home with four more to follow in the next 24 hours. If you enjoy having your intelligence insulted at every turn and paying dearly for the privilege, this "high tea" is for you. If that's not your idea of fun PLEASE pass on this nightmare.
