During a recent wedding, the vicar, Barbara, expressed that she felt photos were not important and unfortunately restricted me to the very back of the room. This made it impossible to capture the emotional moments and angles that couples typically expect and deserve. I completely respect the need for reverence in a church setting, but I also believe that a balance can usually be found — especially when the couple has invested in both the venue and my services to professionally document their day. I just encourage future couples to have a clear conversation with the vicar ahead of time, to ensure their expectations around photography are respected.
