Love this book shop. Prices like everywhere have gone up a little (£2-£3). It is organised by author which was tricky when I didn’t know the author. My nephew loves books and loves reading, he is 6 and loves to come here to get a “new” book. We have found some really good books here. It has a cafe has well which works well in this store, for a M&S store not in central London it's very decent, and lots of great parking. Got held up in roadworks and arrived on the dot of 7pm as store was closing. All staff went above and beyond so i could collect my online item needed for child's holiday. They had already closed the till but reopened it for me. During this and other visits, all staff on the click and collect and menswear were amazing. There is one more reserved member of staff who seems less in tune with customers but that won't detract from this well earned 5 star review. You never know what's going on for people and she did her job. Not everyone can smile all the time and i didn't take it personally. All the other team members were amazing. Have visited this store from time to time but every time I have been in here and went to pay at the till, there’s nobody around! On one occasion I just left the items on the till and walked out because nobody came. Short staffed? As it never seems well staffed.
