For the main we opted for the Cataplana as we had yet to try one while in the Algarves. Cataplana was more than enough food for two, with 3 types of fish, some clams and 2 shrimp. It had potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and onions as well. We didn’t order a side with it and it’s good we didn’t because with the potatoes and bread they serve initially it’s more enough carbs. The bread itself came pre buttered and was probably my favourite bread I had in Portugal, super super soft and fluffy on the inside, crispy but in a thin light way on the outside. Soaked up the soup of the Cataplana and the sauce of the bean clams perfectly. Also they give you a plate of mayonnaise with the bread to start that is actually really really good (garlic and lemon aioli esque), was a bit skeptical but I could for real ear just the bread and mayo and be happy.
