Restaurant
Located in the lobby of Hotel Vandivort, The Order is a rustic-industrial restaurant and bar that offers a rotating seasonal menu featuring American cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests can savor Springfield's famous cashew chicken and Missouri pork steak while enjoying generous menu prices. The bar at The Order has become a popular weekend hotspot, offering an extensive selection of signature cocktails and half-off draft beers during happy hour.
Reservations recommended. Fantastic staff that is kind, helpful and friendly. Pleasant, warm and intimate atmosphere. Seating is limited but there is also a bar. The Buttonwood Chicken was amazing. The White Sweet Potato Pear Soup was delicious. The Bread Service was very tasty.

The atmosphere may be one of the best in Springfield. And the server did an amazing job. But the menu was extremely limited. There were only eight options for entrées and they were very expensive and had strange twist to them. We don’t mind paying 50 or $60 a plate, but we want it to be good and to have several options. You have to pay for the bread service And strangely they are like Nazis when it comes to changing out the sides that come with your entrée. They forbid switching out even a side dish from another entrée for your entrée. It’s really strange. I’m glad we had this restaurant, but I doubt we’ll be going back to it. Flame and char have more options.

Made our work trip to Springfield! Friendly and classy service, gourmet-level of food! The local beets & tomato salad with yogurt/pepitas sauce just restored my lost fate into American cousine. Also discovered crunchy mushrooms in ginger & sesame oil. The market fish & eggplants was at the French cousine level. Nebbiolo was very good as well. Overall- worth a trip to Springfield just to dine here! Thank you 🫶

Really nice meal, very good service, would go back! A Thursday night, it was early, so we received really good, personal and active service. Food was hot and fresh, and really well prepared. Menu is not huge, but has decent variety, some nice pasta dishes, salads are not complex but fresh and well prepared. We had two pasta dishes, and they were really well seasoned, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Cocktails were reasonably priced and nicely done.

This is a really fantastic restaurant! I appreciate the use of local ingredients and the opportunity to eat foods that I might not usually order. It always excels and exceeds my expectations! Also, the drinks are unique (Pink Pony Club pictured) and for those Smoked Old Fashioned lovers, stop looking, they have the best in Springfield.
Misty M — Google review
Their menu is short and straight to the point offering brunch on the weekends! So many great options to choose from! We started off with coffee and bottomless mimosas. They gave us 3 options for the juice: orange, pineapple and grapefruit. We went with pineapple and orange, both delicious. I was craving poached eggs so I ordered the Shakahuka, which came with 2 poached eggs, focaccia, crême fraiche, and radish micro greens. The eggs were poached to perfection!! My husband ordered biscuits and gravy, as well as brioche French toast to share. The French toast came with blueberries, walnut crumble, spiced maple syrup, and was topped with candied orange slices. The presentations of each dish deserved a review of their own! Everything tasted absolutely amazing and flavorful that our plates were sparkling clean by the time we were done. Their service was fast and the staff friendly and attentive. You couldn't even tell you were in the Vantage hotel, half way through our meal we even had some live music playing! Overall an absolutely fantastic experience, definitely a must for brunch in Springfield!
Fabiana K — Google review
Food was very good. Server wasn’t very attentive and was off talking to coworkers at times when we needed assistance. The Wagu Burger was amazing and the homemade ketchup was a must, do not pass on it. The cashew chicken was a really great take on a Springfield classic. I would order again. Make sure you get the bread service. The smoked old fashion was great!
Chris C — Google review
This restaurant has some deliciousness hidden behind its small seating availability. Sitting down, I was not sure what all we would be getting ourselves into with eating in the hotel restaurant, but my goodness, they pump out some serious food. The selection they have for spirits are out of this world and are fairly priced. Some of their wine has some large overhead for pricing, but that is fine and understandable. The food and cocktails are worth the visit, and I suggest you try this place out if in town. They are hyper-local, which is always great to find a place that supports their community.

Steak house
American restaurant
Bar
Nestled in Springfield, Jimm's Steakhouse & Pub is the epitome of a refined yet relaxed dining experience. This charming venue specializes in classic steakhouse fare, making it an ideal destination for both casual meet-ups and special celebrations. On weekends, guests are treated to live piano music that enhances the inviting ambiance. The happy hour offers a delightful opportunity to unwind with friends while savoring delicious dishes like braised short ribs and grilled salmon with bourbon glaze.
My wife took me to lunch for my birthday at Jimm’s Steakhouse at 1935 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, Mo., we're on a tight budget so we only eat out for special occasions, I wanted to do an honest review. I wanted to stress, I have no affiliation with Jimm’s, this is not a paid review. Some places in this group pay for fake reviews in a practice called astroturfing, to fool the potential customers with fake reviews into coming to their place for lunch or dinner. This is an honest review from a retired Marine, who detest that disgraceful, dishonest, illegal business practice. So please read this review to help you and others try a Jimm’s Steakhouse & Pub, if you haven’t already. We entered the business at 1:00 pm, we were greeted by 2 ladies at the podium in front hallway, very warmly, with smiles, who said hello, welcome. We told them we had a reservation we made only 15 minutes prior, they said of course and 1 of the ladies said follow me please. We were seated in an alcove which was perfect for the three of us. But a little chilly with the AC vent focused on the edge of the room, but still comfortable. Waiter Robbie, came to introduce himself and take our drink order, very soon after us being seated, but waited while we situated ourselves. Very friendly, and helpful. He brought our drinks back and we ordered an appetizer, peppadews, and our meals, My wife the Hawaiian chicken, my son a cheese burger, me the special black & blue sirloin. Robbie informed me 1 trip to the salad bar was included with my lunch special. He came back with bread in just a couple of minutes and informed us our appetizer would be up in about 7 minutes. I went for my salad at salad bar, lettuce was crisp, cold, there was fresh spinach, broccoli, peppers, macaroni salad, potato salad, and much more. I just got what I wanted, covered with a ranch dressing and went back to enjoy. Just as I finished my salad, Robbie brought our appetizer to the table, warned us it was hot, and informed us our entrees would be delivered in around 12 minutes. He asked if there was anything he could get us, poured us water and refilled my son’s Dr Pepper, and then went to service his other tables in the room. The appetizer was absolutely delicious, hot at first, but delicious and for the price a great buy. Just as we finished the appetizer our entrees were delivered by a young lady who said they were very hot, and asked if there was anything else we needed? Would you like to cut into the middle of your steak while I'm here? We politely thanked her and said we were good. All of the entrees looked great, the presentation top notch. We started on our entrees, I cut into my steak which was medium. It was cooked to perfection, the taste of the blackened rub, combined with the blue Cheese crumbles was awesome. The mash potatoes hot and scrumptious. My son’s burger and fries looked awesome, and he said the flavor was great. My wife said the Hawaiian chicken was good, however somewhat firm. Overall, everything was good. We ate and as we were finishing, Robbie came to ask how was everything? We told him great, and thanked him. He informed us that if we had any leftovers, he would box it up for us. I told him we enjoyed everything so much, and even though we normally have leftovers we weren’t going to have any today. He asked if we wanted to try any of their deserts, I told him it was my birthday and I would have the brownie as my cake to go. He was surprised, asked if it was really my birthday, I told him yes. He said happy birthday, its mine too! We told him happy birthday, he thanks us, and informed us the brownie is normally served with ice cream so he would pack it with ice to go so we could enjoy later. I said you know what, lets just get it for here. Were full, but we will try. Robbie arrived just a few minutes later with a large Brownie covered with a peanut butter mousse, and a scoop of ice cream. I tasted it first, it was truly AWESOME. I told my wife and son they had to try it. My wife said she was full and couldn’t eat any more, but we kept trying.

We had a great time at the new version of “Steak And Ale”. I grew up in the SPFD area back in the 70’s-80’s and I was always jealous of my peers that would dine there. Now for Mother’s Day I was able to take my mom there for some amazing food and dining experience. Great salad bar. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was on point. Will come again!
Stephen M — Google review
My wife and I had a very lovely meal, celebrating my birthday. Her chicken had a delicious taste. My steak was cooked to perfection and tasted great. And the salad bar was well stocked. Our server was very pleasant and professional in her attentive needs to us. A very nice dining experience and atmosphere. I would highly recommend this eating establishment for a mighty fine dining experience. 😋

If you haven’t tried this Springfield favorite, give them a chance. Meals are made to order, no industrial franchise type taste. They can meet dietary restrictions, such as no salt and they give great attention to how much you will enjoy your meal. There is a dynamic salad bar. There is always someone there working it, replacing food items, cleaning, and making sure it is cold. They serve a delicious brown bread and offer wine tastings. Last night we tried the prime rib from the early menu which included a trip to the salad bar. Loaded baked potato, and even dessert for $25. The attention to service here is phenomenal.
Penny E — Google review
Jimm's Steakhouse was delicious! The prime rib was so tender. Our waitress was wonderful and very friendly, along with the other ones. The atmosphere was friendly! Instead of going to the big chain Steakhouse we decided to try this one as the wait wasn't as long only 30 mins to get seated on a Saturday night! Only Con I have is the table was a but small for a party of 4. Prices to me were a bit on the higher side but the food was delicious!

I can’t believe that I’ve never been to this Springfield restaurant staple until today. The ambience was great and I loved their 1980s playlist of pop. Service and food were great, especially the brown bread, making it all the more charming, in my thoughts. I cannot wait to return and try something new!
Heather M — Google review
Me and my boyfriend made a reservation and when we got there we were immediately seated. All of the staff were super kind and accommodating. I’m a picky eater but they catered to my preferences perfectly. Our waitress Sophia was amazing, super friendly and all around very pleasant! She checked on us several times, and as someone who has worked in the food industry before I could see her cleaning up and catering to us and other customers quickly. The atmosphere was amazing, but I would bring a jacket because it does get a little cold. I got the Cajun pasta with the Gouda Mac and it was all amazing. For dessert we got the creme brûlée, they torched it at our table which was so much fun. For the price we won’t be going again way too soon, but we are absolutely coming back. Better service, and pricing than Flame for sure, for the same quality of food too.
Sky 3 — Google review
After reading reviews, I suppose my expectations were too high. The food was ok. First, it was luke warm and I like my dinner, especially a good filet hot. The butter I put on my green beans didn't even melt over the time I was there. Second, the filet was eh... not having much flavor at all. I will say, the salad bar was good, probably the best part of the meal. The service was good and it's a cute place with some character. I can't say it was a $40+ experience. Disappointing for sure.

Black Sheep Burgers and Shakes is a trendy, brick-walled bar and eatery that offers a unique dining experience for burger enthusiasts. The diner takes the classic American burger to new heights with its distinct flavors and high-quality ingredients. Signature dishes like the Cowboy Carl feature juicy beef patties, crisp bacon, cheese, and a special house sauce. Additionally, they offer decadent shakes crafted to sweet treat perfection. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of scrumptious burgers and delicious shakes.
We came here while visiting our daughter. The food was amazing the truffle fries, sweet potato fries with peanut butter and marshmallow creme, the nachos with pork and all the burgers were perfect. No complaints and I ordered the round and round drink with vodka, blackberries, and mint. Best drink I've had in a very long time. And our waiter Austin was so friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. If we are in srpingfield again we all agreed we will def visit again.

This was the surprise of our day. In town for a college visit for our daughter and after a long day we were starving. Our MSU tour guide mentioned this place during our tour so we thought we would check it out. I love a good burger and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the Truffle Parmesan fries to share and they absolutely delicious! Good call on the fries for sure. Our server brought all of the sauces for us to try and we enjoyed most of them but they really weren’t needed because the fries were amazing on their own. I ordered the Foodie burger and oh my it was tasty. Our daughter got the Ugly Cheeseburger and she ate every bite with a smile on her face. My wife ordered the Hippie Jen because she doesn’t eat meat. She liked it, but it didn’t knock her socks off like our burgers did to us. Overall, it was a great experience. Very friendly staff, cool atmosphere and one of my favorite burgers in years. If our daughter chooses MSU. I’m sure this will my regular spot when I visit.
Christopher D — Google review
Black Sheep is a great choice. Menu is perfect for any burger lover! I had a gluten free bun on the bacon burger. It was fantastic! The onions were way overdone so if you don’t like onions make sure to ask for none. If you don’t mind onions or like them but don’t want them to over power the sandwich then definitely as for light onions. The bacon was really good on the burger! My grandson got the Parmesan fries and the bowl was HUGE! He loved the fries and he is only 18 months old. The service was great, however they served could have given us a refill much sooner than he did. Our glasses were completely empty for a while, but he was still a great server. Super nice. We will definitely be back!
Amber E — Google review
Black sheep was good as I had hoped! We were taking a trip, and this was a stop on the way. You step inside to a great atmosphere and are kindly welcomed. They have burgers that are different, which sets them apart from every other burger place. They have traditional too, but they offer great French fry choices too. Great sauces as well. They have an array of shakes, with or without alcohol, ours were without since we were on the road to another destination.
Brent A — Google review
Damn! That's a good burger. A co-worker ordered for our group earlier this week. It was so good, I've been thinking about it since then. So, tonight I confirmed my first impression - damn good burgers. In general, the restaurant is an odd blend of hipster meets greasy-flat-top burger joint. It's nice but not pretentious, blah blah blah. Whatever. The important part: both burgers devolved into six napkins and a fork to finish. That's just flexing. My co-worker called this place the "best burgers in Missouri" - I was skeptical at first, but...
Jason S — Google review
Amazing place to grab a beer and burger. The service stands out as friendly and efficient. I ordered a burger and cheese curds, the cheese curds were amazing , surely a shareable plate there was a lot. The spicy mayo was amazing. Surely a 'will visit again" place.
Papz E — Google review
I loved eating here, I called ahead to see what kind of cocktails they offered, and they had a great array of milkshakes that they can make with or without cocktails. Overall great price we literally had 2 cocktails, 2 burgers and an appetizer and it was under $60. Loved it, I got the Light My Fire Burger 10/10 definitely recommend
Soph C — Google review
Very cute atmosphere, rustic and modern! The Garlic Truffle fries are to DIE for! That is my most suggested food item. I did get the Blue Cheese burger which was delicious. Everything tasted like it was made in house. Prices are great for what you get. Jose was our server, he was friendly and very informative on the menu choices!

Café Cusco, located on Historic Commercial Street, offers a vibrant dining experience with traditional Peruvian dishes and cocktails in a stylish and colorful setting. The menu features a variety of rice and pasta entrees, including the popular lomo saltado made with thin-sliced steak sautéed with peppers, red onions, roma tomatoes, garlic, white wine, and tamari.
Interesting shape on the sweet potato fries. Food is very good. Service was prompt, but not rushed. First time at this restaurant for lunch...it was a pretty good experience. The building had very interesting architecture & vintage features with a nice ambience. Not a large place. The tables were spaced out nicely. There were a couple of booths that were very grand looking.. not your typical 50s diner booth. Lots of cocktails and drinks which may be their specialty because it's definitely not the iced tea, old tasting ;(

Delicious!!! I got the Amazon Fried Rice and it was so packed with flavor. The fried plantains were so perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as well. So many different dishes to try that I hadn't heard before in any other restaurant. I will be back for another culinary experience and the cozy upscale vibes with great prices. Also, they have an entire separate menu for vegans, so there really are great options for any palate!
Andrea E — Google review
This beautiful cozy restaurant features American and Peruvian dishes. I had the Amazon Rice with chard, pork, rice, peas, onions, and topped with fried plantain. Flavorful without heavy spice. Hot sauce was on the table. Fish, chicken, pasta, salads, wraps, and more. Full bar, eclectic wine list with South American wines. The carved wood and stained glass booths elevated the atmosphere and suited the copper tile ceiling.

Stopped here while looking for a band family dinner on the way to our hotel. We always look for places that offer vegan options as well and we were not disappointed with Café Cusco! We were able to call and make a reservation for 5 with no problem. They staff was very kind and welcoming when we arrived and the food was AMAZING. I was happy to stop somewhere that had a really nice take on traditional Peruvian cuisine to show my bandmates a little piece of my heritage as the daughter of a Peruvian born parent!

Flame Steakhouse & Wine Bar is a chic two-level restaurant that specializes in a variety of high-quality steaks, seafood, and an extensive selection of wines. While the beef is the star of the show, their refined seafood options like the popular ahi tuna dish are equally enticing. The highest-grade ahi tuna is flown in from Hawaii twice a week and served with flavorful sides like wasabi slaw and mashed potatoes with candied bacon.
Had an amazing experience at this steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely top-notch. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was worth it. What really made the evening even better was the server, Drew. He was friendly and attentive. He gave great recommendations and made sure everything was just right throughout my meal. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great steak and outstanding service. Ask for Drew — you won’t be disappointed!

We had our first experience at Flame and it was delicious. They had lost the reservation of our party but seated us Red Room downstairs. We are glad we sat downstairs which seemed more intimate and quiet. The steak was cooked to perfection and most of the sides were tasty.

In town for a family wedding and wanted a quick but special dinner for our 9th wedding anniversary…a google search of best restaurants directed us to Flame and everything was delicious! The crust on my filet was perfect, I loved my Flirtini, the potatoes, the dessert, everything was wonderful. Jace took great care of us, he knew the menu well, we took his suggestions and loved everything. Tonight’s hostess Riley was very sweet and took a beautiful picture of us, too! Hats off to the entire staff, can’t say enough good things! Thank you for a fantastic evening!

This place is BEYOND words. The food is top notch and the cocktails are amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. My husband and I got steaks that were top notch. We got the cheesecake tree and the crème brûlée for dessert, both phenomenal. Abby was our server and she was beyond great. This was our first time in and she was so welcoming. She has an amazing personality and we wanted for nothing. She alone would be worth coming back for!!

This was our first visit at Flame. It was my birthday dinner. We had the filet mignon, smoked fries, asparagus, cheddar jalapeño mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was delicious and perfect. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this wonderful steakhouse and we will definitely be back.

Without question the best steak I've had in my living memory. Perhaps ever. Attentive and friendly service without pretentiousness. A special gem is the closeout wine list. Incredible bargains on excellent wines. The space is old school intimate and charming. A classic steakhouse of the best kind.

Had great food here, go about 2-3 per yr and tonight was close to expected. We had quite a few leftovers and were asked by our server if he could box them up for us. They did so but put everything in one box making it mush in a box. Also forgot our drinks a couple times, not a super big deal but for the upscale experience the restaurant offers and charges for it wasn’t living up to standards. Probably like $55 worth of leftovers mushed in the box.

WOW!! The food. The drinks. The service quality. The ATMOSPHERE. It was all perfect!! We had the Snake River Gold grade 6 oz. American Wagu fillet and holy cow I’ve never tasted something so tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Paired that with a bottle of Pietro Dal Cero 2012 and it was pure heaven on earth!!

Civil Kitchen is a popular indoor-outdoor spot in Springfield, offering a view of Park Central Square. It's known for its creative American dishes and extensive craft beer selection, best enjoyed during happy hour with half-priced appetizers and discounts on draft beer and wines. The restaurant is favored by downtown employees for lunch breaks and south-side workaholics seeking a change of scenery.
On business in Springfield, our bartender at the hotel suggested this place. First of all, I was impressed how downtown here has improved, thriving and alive. The atmosphere is great, but the food was amazingly good. I am a big fan of Pork Belly, and their bbq PB was fantastic. The Colossal onion rings were well colossal and delicious. If you have seen my reviews that have been viewed by 40 million people, you know that I do not give five stars easy! I travel all over every week, so if you want to know more about the places I visit, please feel free to follow me.

I loved the atmosphere of this place. It felt like a hole in the wall with 5 star restaurant quality. My waitress was amazing and always on top of things. I got the breakfast burger which was delicious, but the meat needed a little more seasoning. The brusselsprouts were amazing too. They were a little too tart for my preferences.

This is a delicious and neat stop in Springfield. The establishment is very clean and the staff was great - Emery was one of the best servers we've had in a really long time. Would return here again when in the area.

The Brussels sprouts and their brownie dessert were yummy, as was the peach and basil gin and tonic. Delicious French fries. Overall average experience. I ordered a salad and specifically asked for it to come before dinner. It didn’t. No big deal. When my food was delivered, I just told them I don’t need the salad anymore. Was then told the manager said I still needed to pay for it, and so did I want it boxed up. I asked to speak to the manager at that time. Was later told my waitress they would not charge me for it. It wouldn’t have even been an issue if they just wouldn’t have tried to charge me for the salad to begin with. There is a $5 parking garage up the street. Limited street parking.

Given that this was a doordash I expected less than fresh. However the sandwich was missing the sauce and had 1/2 grisly. The miso potatoes were not seasoned and no different from any other chopped potatoes. All the sides were drowning in oil and lacked any flavor or seasoning. The o e saving grace was the fried kale. I'd like to believe that in person dining would be better but the lack of flavor makes me think not. Likely won't try again but maybe in a few years. Springfield has some good local food but I would not recommend this.

I enjoy this place. I had the blue goat burger and it was a unique take on a smashburger. I had sweet potato waffle fries. I love dipping my fries and blue cheese dressing. Civil Ktchen takes ranch dressing and puts in blue cheese chunks. It actually works a lot better than I expected.

Menu has a variety of choices that seem very tast. The food we ordered was delicious and filling. Will definitely be back and eat there again. The seasonal cocktails are also tasty. I got the Apple Mule.... Loved it 💗

We made an order on door dash and my husband ordered the pork belly tacos and received the most disgusting, unappealing dish we've ever seen. We weren't even sure what it was, and concerned that my husband might not even be able to eat it due to his allergies. After trying some of it it seems like it's a straight slab of pork belly with a very disappointing side dish. It was not even good. He was so excited about the tacos and this dish ruined our hopes for a good night together without having to cook for ourselves. Why would you ever even offer this as an alternative?!? Please see photo, tell me it doesn't look like depression era food... I hate to leave a 1 star review for a reputable restaurant, but I'm just appalled and insulted that someone would even attempt to serve this.

Metropolitan Grill is a vibrant urban restaurant and bar that offers a modern take on American cuisine. The menu features a mix of flavors, including inventive cocktails, pasta, and steaks. The restaurant is known for its lively atmosphere and innovative dishes, such as Italian-bread-crusted Chilean sea bass with roasted tomato and capers. On Wednesday evenings, guests can enjoy live jazz music on the covered patio along with wine and cocktail specials.
Several things on the menu sounded unique and delicious! It was a hard choice on the rack of lamb, but it was really good. I worried the mint would overpower, but it was subtle. The risotto was creamy and excellent, and overall great presentation! My husband had been once before with coworkers and really wanted this spicy pizza he previously ordered. I had a bite, and it was delicious! The service was great, and very attentive on filling drinks multiple times throughout the night. There were 2 options of butter/ dipping sauce for bread service that were both great. Our server recommended we put both on at once and that idea was super good. We finished our dinner with a sopapilla cheesecake, and that was also excellent. I can't wait to come back and try all of the other unique things they have on their menu!

This was near our hotel and had decent reviews. I recommend it! We had been on the road for ten hours so wanted to relax over dinner. I had the smoked old fashioned which was very good and my wife had the elderflower cocktail which she really liked. The crisps spinach appetizer was a must try. A new taste for us. VG. Crystal took good care of us and was knowledgeable. We had the greenly (or something) pizza. Good crust and the meatballs plentiful and tasty. The other toppings were as well.

We ate here for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! The service was great and the food was excellent as well. This is a great spot for a date night or special occasions!

Honestly, for the prices charged, the food doesn’t keep up. We ordered our steaks medium. Well, they both came into our table just barely medium. Had to send them back to finish cooking. (And then you have to wonder what actually happens to them when they’re back there.) The rest of the food was pretty good. The mashed potatoes I would recommend! We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they put a nice touch to our visit. Customized menus, and an illuminated pink heart.

A dining experience that is always top notch. From the food to the atmosphere to the wait staff always makes me want to come back again. Dalton was our server. I love his energy and his knowledge of the menu is second to none. We could not have asked for any better treatment or service. I can tell he is in his element and enjoys what he is doing. You will never be disappointed with the food! Definitely a must add to anyone’s dining list.

FD's Grillhouse is a delightful dining destination that perfectly balances casual and upscale vibes, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Known for its American classics like juicy steaks, mouthwatering burgers, and fresh seafood platters, this restaurant takes pride in offering healthy options without compromising on flavor. The extensive fish menu and thoughtfully crafted salads cater to health-conscious diners while ensuring everyone finds something they love.
Wonderful tasting food. Great price. Great service. Portions were just right. Hawaiian chicken dinner and baby back ribs with sides were cooked perfectly. Ribs meat fell off the bone. The key lime pie crust was definitely your "Great grandma's crust!"

The food, the service and busy-ness was great. My server was Bad Ass Ali. I enjoyed the FD Trio with shrimp, stuff shrimp and grilled salmon with green beans, baby carrots & coleslaw paired with a fuzzy navel (peach schnapps & orange juice). I ordered at cheeseburger and homemade key lime pie to go

This is probably our new favorite. Food was absolutely amazing. Steak was cooked perfectly, the buttery mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. Buttery and smooth. Rich in flavor. Service was great and prompt. Was seated quickly even though they were busy. Food was fresh, very good for the price. Will definitely be eating here again! -Side note, if you're used to a plain "regular folk" salad, this was is a little fancy for my taste. It has strips of sour apples (I think that's what it was) and some sweet walnuts. It's a little different, especially with some ranch on it. I prefer just the basic lettuce, cheese, tomato, croutons and cucumbers. But to each their own.
Andrew B — Google review
FD's offers exceptional fish tacos, surpassing any I've experienced in Florida, which is a significant commendation. The spinach dip is outstanding. The restaurant's ambiance is ideal for both romantic evenings and social gatherings. Furthermore, the pricing is highly competitive, offering excellent value for the quality and quantity of food provided.

Nice atmosphere, super friendly and fast service. Food was wonderful and reasonably priced. Nice place to find in today's overpriced world. Potato soup was delicious, nice blend of spices. Chicken tender platter was more than enough food to bring on a food coma, ha ha. Will definitely be stopping in again whenever I'm around Springfield.

A Must-Visit! Absolutely Lived Up to the Hype! We chose FD's Grillhouse based on its consistently high rankings, and we were absolutely not disappointed! This was hands down some of the best food we've eaten in a long time. I had the fried shrimp, and my wife ordered the Hawaiian chicken. We made sure to share, and honestly, both dishes were excellent. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and flavorful. However, the Hawaiian chicken was the clear winner for us, largely due to its incredible house-made bourbon glaze. It's so good, we were thrilled to learn they sell it! Despite being crowded (a testament to its popularity), the service was still top-notch, attentive and friendly. We did have to wait a bit for a table, but it was incredibly well worth every minute. If you're in Springfield, MO, FD's Grillhouse is a don't-miss restaurant! You won't regret it.

We recently dined at FD's Grillhouse in Springfield for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience! Despite the bustling atmosphere and a 30-minute wait for our party of seven, the staff managed everything efficiently and with a smile. The service from both the kitchen and our attentive waitress Allie was top-notch. The appetizers set the tone for a great meal—especially the honey-glazed chicken and FD's trio, which were absolutely delicious. The kids enjoyed their chicken and fries, and the portion sizes were generous. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations, especially considering the reasonable prices. The ambiance was lively, and the restaurant's cleanliness stood out. It's clear why FD's is a popular spot in Springfield. We left satisfied and are already planning our next visit!

PaPPo's Pizzeria & Pub Downtown Springfield is a no-frills Italian eatery known for serving some of the best pizza in town. The pizzeria offers a wide selection of toppings, ensuring that every customer finds their perfect slice. Visitors praise the flavorful food and friendly service, with particular mention of the delicious pepperoni and buffalo chicken pizzas. The establishment also caters to vegan and vegetarian preferences, offering great options like cauliflower crust pizza.
Very nice experience here, very open space for a downtown location. I went with the traditional sausage and pepperoni hand tossed 12-in pizza. Delicious, fresh out of the oven and way too much for one person! I have plenty to take home. Athena, the server, was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend eating here if you're visiting downtown Springfield!

Food: I got the “pappo’s famous 5 cheese” pizza. Excellent crust and soft dough. Waitress was hospitable and offered Parmesan and red chili flake shakers as additional toppings before she left. 3/5 stars because quality and quantity didn’t match the price — the pizza was a bit too cheesy with a redundant taste. In addition, the wait was long and the waitress wasn’t at her station upon arriving.
Andrew K — Google review
From out of town and ordered pickup. Was given a 15 minute time and it was ready as promised. We got a Canadian bacon, pineapple( no discussion on pineapple here) and jalapeño hand tossed. Very delicious. Highlights for me was the crust and sauce.

Our hostess/waitress was wonderful. The pizzas we tried were shrimp scampi and the steakhouse. They were different but really good. We also had the honey ricotta and bruschetta appetizers and they were delicious!

Good food. Excellent service. Carly provided amazing customer service AND delicious drinks. She made the BEST margarita for my friend. My lemon drop was 10star. She was helpful and cheerful. Of course "The Greek' pizza is the bomb! Love the hand tossed; worth the wait! Bonus - the bathroom was super clean.

They seemed overwhelmed . The bartender was doing all she could and I think she was very polite but just couldn’t keep up. She was doing door dash, bartending and waiting tables. I ordered wings for an app and a small pizza . The wings and pizza came out at the same time and the wings were literally cold . There was minimal sauce on them and underwhelming. The pizza was ok, the crust had a decent crisp to it but had a big flop . The flavor was ok but it was a pizza that is forgettable. I think the place got potential and I may try again if they have more staff on.

Ordered a calzone with sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. (Delivery) What I got was a burnt calzone with paper thin crust and very little ricotta/cheese and who doesn't enjoy that in their calzones. The charcoal crust took away from the flavor and you never send a customer burn food. I understand the cost of ingredients has gone up but flour isn't that expensive. This was my first and last experience.

Casper's Diner is a cozy and quirky spot known for its comfort food like burgers and chili. The diner has garnered attention from both national publications and locals, making it a beloved hidden gem. Its offbeat, artsy decor adds to the intimate setting, with vibrant colors and posters adorning the walls. One of its highlights is the option to enjoy their famous chili by the cup or even take home a gallon.
Such a cool little place. The decor and food are both awesome, but the best part was the service. Our server gave us a brief history, sent us with packs of matches she had hand stamped, and was trying to give us to-go drinks. Can't ask for much more than that. The burgers and chili dogs were great! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

It was great diner food. I got Chili & cornbread and my sister got the burger and fries. Fun atmosphere with the people that work there calling out different things happening . You gotta try it for yourself. My sister and I waited in a 10 minute line and chose to eat at the counter because it has comfortable seats.
Yvonne S — Google review
Super great food. The burger and fries were delicious! Even the grilled cheese was super huge and cheesey! And the chili surprised me with how good it was. I don't normally like chili other than my own, but this was definitely worth getting. The only thing that disappoints me is how small the place is. They moved from their old building, which I thought was to facilitate more people, but the new building is just as small. So, if you wanna go, make sure you get there when they first open, or you will be waiting. Worth the wait though!
Kassandra D — Google review
Casper's is my favorite diner. I have been eating there about 15 years, started back in the original restaurant. The food is excellent, my favorite is the double whammy- 2 burgers smothered with chili & cheese. Better go hungry if you plan on ordering that. The service and staff is top notch. Friendly, timely, and efficient. It's a very comfortable setting and they don't make you feel rushed.

Excellent prices. Quick service too! Food temps were perfect, and ready to enjoy without any wait to cool off. It was delivered after order in a very short time. Regular hamburger was delicious, and has all the hallmarks of a diner burger. Soft buns, Shredded lettuce, a good sized patty with that griddle burger grease glistening on it. Mayo, onions, as pickles were on point! 🫠. Chili was yummy too. They have Diet Dr Pepper on tap!! I found a new regular place to eat. I recommend coming in at 11 before the lunch crowd hits. 👍

My husband and I visit Springfield pretty frequently because he used to live there. I had always wanted to try the original Casper’s location, but never got a chance. We stayed at an Airbnb close to Casper’s, and I insisted on trying it. It was amazing!! The service was great, the decor is cute, and the food is excellent! The burgers were fresh and delicious. The generous portions of fries were hot and very flavorful. And the people who work there were very nice and friendly. We ate there three times in the four days we stayed in town. Fantastic place to grab a bite!

Never had a chance to visit the original location due to operating hours. It was as good as people had told me. The Chilli was perfect, I'd like to try just a bowl of it next time. The big weenie was hard to finish with how much was there.

I've been here several times now. Every time has been a great experience! Love everything I've tried so far! The chilly cheese fries are amazing and so is the double whammy! This time around I remembered to get a picture! This pic is a Double Whammy, it's a double cheese burger, open face and smothered in chilly! Soo yummy! Staff is very friendly, my drink never runs empty and I was offered a to-go cup. Kitchen looks very clean! Over all a great experience and highly recommended!

Red’s Giant Hamburg is a classic diner in Springfield that originally opened in 1967 on Route 66. Although it closed in 1984, it was recreated by a new owner in 2019 at a new location to capture the original vibe. The place offers delicious burgers and amazing fries, with a nostalgic 'Rte 66' feel and plenty of memorabilia. Additionally, nearby America's Incredible Pizza Co.
What a cute little fun place to eat! Burgers were on point! Can’t go wrong with Red’s sauce (basically a thousand island) with grilled onions! Fun fact, first drive thru invented in 1947! If you are in Springfield definitely a gem worth stopping in! And if you are a root beer fan, get the root beer! 😋

Pulled into the drive through sat for ten minutes said hello multiple times no response pull to the window honk the horn a couple times nothing. Then go inside and was like is no one working here a lady comes up asks what’s wrong I explain she doesn’t apologize says I can take your order here. I’m pretty sure she was high had to explain my order five times for her to get it right pay and wait. 17 minutes later I get my order all while watch the cook with no hats or hair nets scratching adjusting and no changing glove get home the burgers are bloody in the middle. The fries have the consistency of cold wet pasta do not eat at this place ever
Baron E — Google review
Worst experience ever. We both ordered the giant with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I specifically asked for extra pickles and onions. They gave me regular pickles and onions. No lettuce or tomato. My fiance got ketchup and mustard. No lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickles. I had to go to the counter to ask for lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. I was told they would bring me the pickles, 20 minutes later and still no pickles. The fries had no flavor. It was like eating deep fried cardboard. My fiance opted for the chili cheese fries. It had diced onions on it along with huge chunks of onions. To make matters worse is the fry cook has a full beard with no hair net. So don't be surprised if you end up with hair in your food. "Red's" sauce is nothing more than thousand Island dressing. You would be better off going to McDonald's or Burger King. Don't waste your time or money. They got 1 star because the bathroom was nice and clean.

(EDIT) Get here before May 14th. Ted's is going up for auction and we dont know if it will be back. And you can tell the staff is going through the motions at this point. The fried chicken was dark but not burnt, our order was incomplete, and the friendliness is practically non-existent. If i could take it on, i would; hopefully, the next owners will maintain the vision. My mom is visiting from NH in July, and she would have loved this place. Get it while you can. Or don't. I'm not sure it matters anymore.

Stopped in on a trip to Springfield, was a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't super busy. Hamburgers are smashed so they have that texture that makes it crispy. Really great flavor that everyone enjoyed. One of us had a chicken sandwich that was huge and very good. They were out of coke and Dr pepper, which seemed strange, but they had Abita root beer on tap! Great atmosphere with a very unique vibe. We all enjoyed a great meal! Staff was very friendly and patient as our large party ordered at the counter.

Very cool retro restaurant! The inside is well decorated with colorful old fashioned seating and old photos on the wall. This place was the first Drive Thru restaurant in the US. The food itself was quite good. The burger and vanilla malts were decent, but my favorite thing was by far the fried chicken. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and super moist and tender on the inside. I would highly recommend getting the chicken! The chicken pieces are quite generously sized. Customer service was very friendly and quick. On the day I went, the owner of the restaurant was there. He checked on his employees and then came over to the seating area to eat his own lunch order from the restaurant. I think this speaks positively for the restaurant. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Greek Belly is a cozy and charming eatery located in South Springfield, offering a taste of authentic Greek cuisine. The interior is inspired by the Greek village Valtonera, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu features classic Greek dishes such as pita wraps, gyro platters, and rice bowls, all made with traditional recipes and fresh ingredients like hummus, feta, tzatziki, and olives.
Update: We were contacted by restaurant and they showed us excellent customer service. We decided to try it out again and had excellent food. The Midas Gyro, and falafel platter were both great. It deserves the 5th star. ——————————- I highly recommend the Hercules Gyro for a protein packed meal! My wife’s gyro bowl however had dry and crunch rice. We would not recommend that dish. It’s what knocked the review down from 5 stars.

We had a pleasant visit to Greek Belly. We started with the falafel and melitzana dip—both were very tasty. For the main course, we had the lamb, which was full of flavor and cooked just right. It's renowned for its delectable grilled cheese sandwiches, with the popular 'The Fun Group' featuring cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and apple on sourdough. The cozy spot will soon offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am onwards.

My wife gets the Downward Spiral which is a breakfast bowl with a mix of breakfast items so you don’t have to decide, she also likes to get a side of their amazing hashbrowns and mix that in as well for good measure. I personally love the B&G as it is perfect here, my favorite in town to be exact. If I am there around 11am they start serving sandwiches which are unique and flavorful. Take my advice and get the Action Parmesan and their house tomato basil sauce on the side so you can dip your sandwich in it…your life will never be the same!

This was such a great restaurant and bar. We were guests at the hotel and were pleased with the food, drinks, and service here. It’s great to find a good place within the hotel especially since we didn’t have a vehicle. We had drinks one night, dinner the next, and even drinks at the pool through their poolside window service. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area! The pad Thai was yummy, a tad spicy, but enjoyed it. The drinks were good too and I loved the “ice” bar! 🧊🍸

We had the Asian salad with chicken it was very big and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and we loved the dark intimate atmosphere. It was a little noisy but it was people enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend. You might ask for Jo, our waitress she was very good.

We stayed at the hotel with our two kids to split up our drive to Indiana from Texas. Awesome food! We had the Pad Thai and it was delicious. If you’re staying at the hotel the continental breakfast is amazing. Best breakfast I’ve had in a while. Pam M was running the breakfast and was so nice and helpful! We will be back!

Stopped in for a quick lunch, I got the crab pizza. It was a little smaller than I expected and the waitress told me the mix the crab meat into the cheese. It was tasty and hit the spot so I'm satisfied. I'll be back for those fish tacos and a couple drinks next time I'm through

Personally, I found their food menu somewhat limited. The food was really good. Just not a lot of choices... Their bar however didn't have that problem. I HIGHLY recommend the drink called "homemade ice cream" it taste just like it's name. It's like $14... And worth every penny in my humble opinion. Their bartender is the best. Tip well and he'll take care of you....

Very cool restaurant. Open kitchen that produces some excellent food. Had dinner 2 nights in a row and both meals were superb. Great service as well and not overpriced as is the case at most hotel restaurants. I recommend the Pad Thai bowl. Their version is simply delicious and spicy at the perfect level.

Maybe we visited on an off night for the place. First off, the service was good. The food was the bigger issue. The pad thai and spinach dip were good. The steak frites was sent over cooked (ordered medium rare and received well) which they fixed so happy for that. The steak was still not very flavorful and tough. The lamb chops were not seared and had no flavor at all. The food had such potential and again maybe an off night. Atmosphere is weird like a fancy Dennys and smell.of pool was present.
Tom B — Google review
Resturant was dark and didnt feel very inviting... could hardly find our server and our food was mediocre at best. Me and my husband got the ribeye rare. They were medium well and had no flavor. The masked potatoes were hard and also no flavor. And the Brussel sprouts weren't even cooked all the way but were somehow roasted? How can you even charge $50 for that?? We will not be back. Insane

City Butcher and Barbecue is a popular spot in South Springfield, MO, known for its chill atmosphere and industrial vibe. This Texas-style barbecue joint started as a local farmers market stand and has now become a must-try restaurant for barbecue enthusiasts. The menu features smoked meats, sandwiches, and classic sides. It's a laid-back place that attracts both locals and visitors to Springfield. The butchers are knowledgeable about their craft, ensuring the food is always fabulous.
City Butcher and Barbecue came highly recommended from a friend. I agree with my friend! Delicious tender burnt ends!! You have to get the baked beans also. They are loaded with chunks of moist cuts as well. I also tried the cheesy jalapeno corn which was an additional highlight. This favorite spot for burnt ends is hidden away in a strip mall. So just plug it in to your GPS and get on down there for yours! They are known to run out. The entrance is on the far right of the store front with the counter and menu board being your first stop. Order and pay, then follow around to the kitchen door with your receipt and wait for your order to come out. This is great food to order and take home as well. The interior is basic wood tables and booths but you're not there to sit and admire the surroundings . . . you're there for some darn good burnt ends! Yes, there's other items on the menu, but why? Staff was pleasant and helpful. This is definitely a repeat experience!

Just before 1pm on Sunday they were already sold out of some meats our party of 3 wanted. They recommended the jalapeno and cheddar sausage. We all like that type of meat so we all tried it. It must have been spoiled, I took 1 bite it was ruff! The other meats were decent. Left pretty disappointed.
Nathanael B — Google review
The City Butcher is great at what they do. A bit pricey for BBQ & smoked meats, but tasty & tender. Whole restaurant was very clean & service was quick & helpful. This time through we enjoyed a brisket sandwich which had delicious charred edges and wonderful flavor. The BBQ beans included plenty of chopped meat and spicy peppers. It was hotter than I prefer, but good. We also had pulled/chopped pork serving, jalapeño mac+cheese w/ potato salad, and a smookie (chocolate chip cookie w/ half butter / half beef tallow) which was interesting-may not get that again. But the BBQ, the meats, are always great here & get here earlier than later 'cos once an item is sold out for the day, it's gone. 😝

Tasty Bbq served old style. The brisket and pulled pork were amazing. Three types of house bbq sauce and decent sides as well. Bottled beer and fountain drinks available. Looking for straight forward, no fuss, and great taste, this is a great bet.

Went at 1 pm on Thursday afternoon. They were already out of chicken and turkey. I had to make due with a small salad for $9. The salad had spring mix that was very bitter. It had canned tomatoes, canned black beans, corn that was probably canned or frozen and the ranch dressing came in a 1 oz cup that was half filled. It had obviously been made earlier as it came out in less than 5 min. I could not eat it. I tried to get a refund, but the counter woman refused. She argued with me about the corn and lettuce and ignored me. My husband got the sampler of all the meats available. It was served cold. He said it was some of the worst he had ever had. We paid $70 for this atrocity. This is a walk up to the counter and order fast food type place. If you are hoping for a nice place to eat I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I have never had Texas BBQ before yesterday. Man I like it!! Went to lunch with my beautiful wife after mass on Sunday. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The man who took and prepared our order was very helpful and nice. We were going to set outside so as we waited for our food I walked through the restaurant. It was very clean, inside and out. We did not wait 5 minutes for our food. We choose a table outside and pulled our food out of the bag. My wife had the burnt end sandwich. The burnt ends were perfect. I had the Sweaty Texan sandwich. It had brisket and Texas hot links. I was very pleased. We shared a medium jalapeño cheesy corn. It was delicious but it does have some heat. I will return.
WS D — Google review
Average at best, hadn’t been to City Butcher in a couple of years, but not worth the price. Pulled pork mushy, brisket average. Joe’s in KC 10x better. The lunch time traffic decline in customers was obvious
D H — Google review
Very good. I’ve not had Texas BBQ, but it was explained to me by a customer who is, it’s just Meat salt and pepper. The cracked pepper flavor was very prevalent, luckily I like black pepper. Flavors were good, burnt ends were nice and tender. Nothing here I must have. The jalapeño cheese corn was freaking fire- like I mean spicy AF. I love spicy and wasn’t expecting something claiming to be hot actually being hot. 3 stars because lunch was $50. Two sandwiches, two cokes and split a side. Ouch. Pretty pricey…

Gailey's Breakfast Cafe is a beloved breakfast spot located on Walnut St. in Springfield. Housed in a reconstructed pharmacy store, this nostalgic eatery serves up traditional American breakfast fare in a straightforward setting. The menu features classic diner dishes such as huge omelets, stacks of pancakes, and sizzling griddles, along with unique offerings like sweet browns made from sweet potatoes. The cafe exudes throwback diner vibes and is known for its colorful Fiestaware serving dishes.
First time trying Gailey’s and was really impressed! The service was great and the food was fantastic! We got seated right away and served real quick. Food came out hot and fresh as well we didn’t have to wait long! Can’t say that will be the case for all since we got there early. It’s a little hipsters-ish but nothing wrong with that. If you’re looking for fancy, better look someplace else but I had a wonderful experience! If you want good food and great service, try this place out yourself! But we will be back again!

Found this little breakfast stop near the square in downtown Springfield. Decent food - loved the arty atmosphere (there is local art for sale on the walls). From what I heard, the original Gailey's was a dinner with a pharmacy in the back. That part of the location is still open; you can sit at the old bar-top and watch them work the griddle. Over the years, the small diner expanded , gradually taking over two other adjacent buildings. So, it has a funky, historic, arty quality. The menu is diverse, but they appear to specialize in skillet breakfasts. There's also some breakfast tacos (that I probably wouldn't order again), omlettes, and a solid selection of coffee and boozy breakfast drinks (along with great tea, hot coco, etc.) I'd recommend this place; it's a cool spot with great service. But I'd recommend sticking with traditional breakfast options. Also, it looks like they do more of a bar/event thing in the evenings. I saw posters for board game nights and live music. I can't speak to those, having just done breakfast. But I'd be down for checking it out in the future. Finding hip places in Springfield can be a bit of a challenge.

Unique dining experience in Springfield with a solid variety of fare. Good choice for breakfast in downtown location. Service was mildly friendly and we had to ask for top off for our coffees twice. Waited 20 min for meals on a Friday morning at 8:30, and food came out hot. Convenient place to meet and eat breakfast in downtown Springfield, MO. Been here a couple times and there's a good amount to choose from.

Food was fast and delicious. I had the French toast breakfast. Hot and yum! I love the atmosphere, the building is made up of many small buildings and rooms, filled with local art that you can purchase. Very cute. Our server was nice and attentive to us. The area is cute and walkable.

We enjoyed our visit. Heard about Gailey’s through friends. We went for an afternoon brunch. The staff were very friendly. Very nice server. Love all the plants. I had stuffed French toast and my husband had an Italian sandwich. The stuffed French toast was delicious. Eggs came out perfectly (rare occurrence for based medium eggs) and the sausage patties were so good. I enjoyed all the plants too as I’m a plant person.

We visited Gailey’s Breakfast Cafe in Springfield, MO and had a great breakfast experience. The sweet potato hash browns were unique and full of flavor, and the gravy was fresh and delicious. The biscuits were a little crunchy, but overall the food quality was very good. Parking wasn’t the easiest, but the friendly and polite service from our server made up for it. If you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in Springfield, Gailey’s is worth checking out.

I got the BarHug. The food was good not the best I have had. I wish the gravy had a little more flavor and more sausage. Regardless the item that made this review 5 stars was the hot chocolate. It was the best I have ever had at a restaurant and would go back just for that!! The service was also great and very clean.

The best breakfast experience we've had here. The food was great- all fresh made, and the experience beas a lot of fun. Cool old building with lots of charm and a great wait staff. Parking was okay, a little on the slim side for the area, but we found a space easily enough at 930 on a Tuesday. These guys really wanted to put out a superior product and it showed.

Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant chain steakhouse that brings the spirit of the Lone Star State to your dining experience. With its lively atmosphere and Southwestern-inspired American cuisine, it’s a feast for both the eyes and palate. Guests can indulge in expertly prepared ribeye steaks, which are hand-selected from a glass case, ensuring freshness and quality with every bite. The menu also features delightful desserts like apple pie à la mode and rich brownies topped with ice cream.
Food was very delicious. Unfortunately they were all out of ribs, which is all I come to Texas roadhouse for, besides the rolls they also were out of Coke Zero. Which is sad because I drink it to make me feel better about eating out. Steak and smothered onions were very yummy. Our server was amazing! House salad is also God teir

Came in today with my husband and we saw a young man working in the back as we came in. My husband remembered him from our last visit, he brought us our food and made a joke about my husbands steak which was HILARIOUS! After that we talked for easily 15 minutes about different things, he seemed genuinely interested and engaged with the conversation (unlike your typical server who’s just working for a tip) - That’s what I call EXCELLENT service. I believe his name was CJ, he also mentioned he was 16… and to be so mature and speak so clearly and respectfully at his age, we are amazed! Absolutely would suggest the food and the atmosphere to anyone in town! 10/10 ALL AROUND!!!!

I went with my family. There were 4 of us. They sat us way in the back at one of the smallest tables ever. We got the Blossom with its "Cajun Sauce" ( that's how it is said on the actual menu). It tasted familiar, so we asked what was in it....Pretty much Ranch with Cajun Seasoning! Well, I'm allergic to Ranch and had already tasted some. Smh. I ordered the Portebello Mushroom Chicken. First, when the food came, the waitress wanted to pile up all these places and cups without removing anything. We were literally at this little table holding our old plates up just so she could set new ones down. It was so crowded and just disorganized. It was horrible. She was in such a rush she didn't even ask could she take anything until we stopped her from leaving. My chicken was NOT cooked all the way and the sauce on it was dark brown and thick and tasted bland. So I switched entrees and got the country fried sirloin. Smh it was more breading and Grey gravy then meat and when you finally DID get through to the meat it was NOT seasoned and it was watery. For an 80 tab only ate complimentary bread, baked potatoe and broccoli and a watered down ceasar salad and an allergic reaction to which the waiter said "Well next time you come there ia an allergy menu online" it should be on the actual IN STORE menu..... My son said his steak was fine. My other son said his 6oz was "Too chewy" right off the bat. So not worth the money spent. 😕
Bossy Q — Google review
We always have great food when we dine in here. Take out is a different story. The fries were scant. We were told each entree would come with an order of bread when we ordered, and then they only put in one order of bread. Just a little disappointing. 😔

When I set out at 9pm for a late dinner (was craving a cactus blossom) I did a comparison between Outback Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse. What I read was that Texas Roadhouse was livelier, with music and line dancing, and had a better quality of steak. I chose Texas Roadhouse because I wanted an upbeat evening. Well on my way there I learned that they close at 10pm 🤯. I moved here from Phoenix where everything was open much later. I wasn't worried though due to my arrival time being before 9:30 according to my directions. I'm not sure why but my directions had me get off at Glenstone and drive through city streets instead of the freeway so I didn't arrive until 10 minutes before closing time. It took a couple minutes to be seated due to everyone trying to close and go home. Even though time was short I was asked if I wanted to pick out a steak from the display case and I said no. I was seated and told that the kitchen and bar stopped taking orders at 10. I ordered a drink and the waitress went and brought it back a couple minutes later which gave me enough time to quickly decide what steak I wanted. After I ordered the waitress said the bar closed in 2 minutes so if I wanted another drink she could quickly put the order in. My food came out quickly (so quickly I was worried it would be undercooked) but OMG everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious. My second drink came after the waitress dropped off my food and it tasted awesome as well. I was only able to eat a quarter of the meal since there was so much food. I asked for boxes to take the rest home. I was the only customer left but not once did anyone ask me to leave or even make me feel rushed. My only complaint has to do with the music and line dancing. Like I said I had looked online before hand and was excited about music and dancing and when I walked into the restaurant a big banner said line dancing every hour . I thought to myself I would have to come back on the weekend. On my way out I asked a waiter where in the restaurant the dancing took place (so I could sit near there) and was told that they don't do the line dancing anymore!!! If you don't do the line dancing anymore then at a minimum the banner in the restaurant should be taken down.

Restaurant
Avanzare Italian Dining is an intimate, chef-owned restaurant that has been a Springfield staple for over two decades. The fine dining experience offers a modern take on Northern Italian cuisine and is owned and operated by five-star chef Tony Garcia. The restaurant recently moved to a spacious 1,200-square-foot location with seating for over 250 people, including a private dining area and patio seating overlooking a scenic pond with fountains.
Avanzare Italian Dining exceeded every expectation. From the elegant ambiance to the attentive, friendly service, everything about our visit was top-notch. It’s clear the team here cares deeply about creating a memorable dining experience. The food was phenomenal, but the standout for me was the ribeye—truly one of the best I’ve had in my life. Cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor, it’s a dish I’ll be thinking about for a long time. The pasta and appetizers were equally impressive, with fresh ingredients and rich, authentic flavors in every bite. Yes, it’s on the pricier side—but it’s worth every penny. If you’re looking for a high-quality Italian meal that delivers across the board, Avanzare is the place. Highly recommended.

Dined here for a friends birthday. We had 12 people total. It was quite loud the night we went so it was a little hard to hear the waiter. The food was absolutely delicious. My dish had pesto mashed potatoes which were an interesting shade of green. The chocolate lava dessert was scrumptious. I was expecting it to be kind of like Chili’s similar dessert, it was not. This was so much better. I would go back just for that. It was a busy night and our server seemed to be getting flustered with our tickets. A few were wrong and he did get them fixed for us. All it all, I would go back.

Bruno's Italian Restaurant is a charming spot located in a 114-year-old building, offering an authentic Italian dining experience. The warm and intimate atmosphere is complemented by rustic decor, including crisp white tablecloths and flickering candles. The menu features classic Italian dishes such as seafood ravioli with a luscious filling of lobster, scallop, and shrimp, all tucked inside freshly made pasta.
Their authentic menu sets the stage for a wonderful Italian meal in the heart of downtown Springfield. We were eager to try this place after reading such glowing reviews, and we left exceptionally satisfied. As soon as we sat down, we were served focaccia with a blend of Italian olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We ordered two glasses of wine: a Chianti and a Chiarlo Barbera d'Asti. Since we wanted to try both the pasta and the pizza, we decided to share a margherita pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was amazing, with the perfect balance of dough and sauce. Their brick oven allows the pizza to be cooked authentically, as if we were in Italy, and adds an extra touch to the ambiance. With the pizza being so good, we expected no less of the pasta. My husband ordered the fettuccine alla Bolognese, and the ragù was so flavorful that he scooped up every bit and cleaned his plate with the last piece of focaccia! I ordered the daily special--penne with a white sauce (not Alfredo!), sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmigiano--which was absolutely delightful. The flavors blended perfectly. Although we were full, we saved room for dessert and ordered cannoli. The portion came with two, making it perfect for sharing. The way they whisk the ricotta gives it a delicate texture that tastes exceptional! Service was fast, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Springfield, so we could easily walk back to our hotel. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic experience--a must-visit if you're in Springfield and craving authentic Italian food!

Went on a Friday night around 8:30. Was able to be seated right away. My wife and I had drinks and each ordered an entree. The food was amazing,as was the drinks. The only problem that I might have had was with how slow service was, but it didn't bother me too bad. If you are not in a hurry it's a great place to linger and visit with company.

Overall, very pleasant. The service was polite and helpful when assisting me in making a decision for what to have for dinner. She was quick and very attentive. The food was excellent and came out quickly. I would love to order the tortellini again. The bread with olive oil and vinegar was a nice little appetizer. The bread had the perfect texture and moisture. The lemon cake was a great finale to everything. I really enjoyed all the food. I would have given 5 stars, except the restaurant was dirtier than to be expected for a place charging this much. I saw several fruit flies, which is always very concerning. Simply, the place could be cleaner and I would have really awarded 5 stars. Overall I would love to come back and try something new. It was a good experience.

Loved the place! The atmosphere was almost perfect for a date. Acoustics made it a little hard to hear with even a half filled restaurant. The Caesar salad was the best I had! Enjoy some of the cheesy bread for an appetizer (just order 2). The entrees around the table were delicious and flavorful. At $20+ a plate, the portions were a little smaller than I had imagined they'd be. I only had 5 medium to large shrimp on my pasta and felt like I had to ration them. Jumbo woukd have felt generous. We all could have finished our plates if we weren't saving space for dessert. Get some dessert! Each bite was worth every penny. Salad, entree, and dessert will run you about $50. Service was outstanding and as soon as my drink hit the bottom it was refilled.

Beautiful decor. I came in with high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to them. Bruno's Gin-Secco was excellent, but it took 30 minutes to arrive — and the restaurant was less than half full. That delay set the tone for the rest of the evening. I ordered a steak rare, and while the edges were nicely done, the center was medium to medium-well — something I’ve never seen before and a clear sign of poor execution. Bread didn’t arrive until 30 minutes into the meal, and the portobello ravioli was only enjoyable after being reheated. The staff seemed overwhelmed despite a slow night, which makes me wonder if the restaurant is understaffed or just poorly managed. Whatever the reason, the service and kitchen issues made this a one-and-done for me. I won’t be giving it a second chance.

This appetizer could pass as a meal. I was impressed with the taste and quality of the food. They didn't go cheap on the salmon either. That toast was loaded and delicious! The service was also good. I'll definitely be returning to Aviary. If you go around lunch hours, I would definitely recommend joining the wait list online if you plan on dining in.

Overall cute restaurant but I would recommend avoiding Saturday brunch hours as it is very loud and chaotic during those hours making the whole experience less enjoyable. Had the burger with fries and it was really good and filling. The fries are more like a thick homemade chip and they are very good. I’ve also had the Nutella and fruit crepe in the past and they are okay- good value during happy hour if they still do that. Their crepes are on the thicker side though. I will say that despite how busy it is on Saturdays, the workers were still very nice and service was not overly slow.

It was my first time here and was not disappointed at all in fact it was beyond my expectations. My server Anna was amazing. She recommended everything and it was excellent. The two drinks were an almond joy latte and a raspberry mocha latte. For the meal it was the black and bleu crepe with loaded pomme frites. It was possible the best savory crepe I have ever tasted. The only thing I would critique is the pomme frites could’ve been seasoned or coated a little more for me but frankly that’s such a minimal issue. All in all I will definitely come back and next time I’ll bring my family.

Was a wonderful rustic environment with plenty of woodworking, low/natural lighting plenty of birdhouses painting and open outside views.Quick to seated even in a packed house service was slow, but that’s to be expected with how busy it was. Now on to the meat and potatoes, or should I say bacon and eggs I have the pleasure of trying the: IS IT MORNING? Topped With Crème Fraiche & Parmesan, filled with scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Caramelized Onion, cheddar jack cheese. Wrapped in made to order crepes. This was a very delectable way to have brunch all your tried and true classics rolled into a sweet and savory mix every thing melded well and it wasn’t overly sweet or salty. Was huge portion with 3 total crepes with a side. Speaking of sides the bacon cheddar Grits were to die for as a southerner born and raised these grits hit the spot so good I had to get some to take home. Overall the entire meal was filling tasty and not to costly with a price point of about 10-20$ a meal!

I've been here quite a few times since moving to Springfield and it has never dissapointed!! Such a good variety of sweet and savory crepes, sandwiches and more! On top of that, the decorations on the inside make for an "upscale" and cozy vibe. Of note, I've gotten to try: Drinks: Cafe bon bob, lavender latte Entrees: Breakfast Smashburger with Tomato Bisque soup, Steak and Eggs Crepe, Shrimp Scampi Crepes Dessert: Funky Monkey Sweet crepe with all 3 fruit Both of the drinks I tried were delicious, though if I had to choose between the two of them, I'd recommend the Cafe BonBon In terms of entrees, the Breakfast Smashburger was by far my favorite!! So many different flavors that blend well together. And if you're worried about the Sriracha aioli being too spicy, I can assure you that it isn't! I'm a wimp with spice and this wasn't spicy at all for me, it was more of an added flavor. The steak and eggs crepes was decent; however I wouldn't personally recommend the Shrimp Scampi crepes. Finally, it's hard to go wrong with the funky monkey crepes if you're looking for something sweet! A must visit Breakfast spot for any newcomers to Springfield!

A phenomenal rustic dining cafe nestled in a more trendy district of Springfield. I came with a group of six. Our server was kind, efficient, and helpful, and the menu was very accommodating to common allergens. I ordered the Black and Bleu savory crepe with a side of pomme frites, and it was absolutely divine. Wait times were less than ten minutes for the entire table. If I lived local to Springfield, I'd come back a thousand times. With vintage-style edison bulbs, plenty of natural wood, and a front-facing kitchen, the atmosphere was chic and relaxed. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. 10/10 would recommend.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Service was great our waitress was friendly and personable. Food had great flavor, presentation and came out fast. I highly recommend the lemon blueberry crepes simply outstanding.

By far the best breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant I’ve been to. There wasn’t a wait to be seated. I ordered a Carmel Macchiato, I really enjoy coffee and their macchiato is one of the best I’ve had. I recommend that or one of the Italian crème soda. Ordering our food was difficult bc I wanted to try multiple things. I can’t wait to go back and try the chicken and French toast. I decided on the breakfast poutine with the cheesy bacon grits, and my wife had the banana foster and of course it was incredible. Aviary’s is at the top of my list.

Italian restaurant
Nicola's Ristorante Restaurant is a warm and sophisticated bar and eatery that offers family-style Italian meals. The restaurant is known for its traditional Italian recipes passed down through generations, including mouthwatering dishes like spaghetti Bolognese and veal piccata. One of their specialties is the smooth, buttery yellowfin tuna paired with a tangy lemon-and-caper sauce, served alongside fresh seasonal vegetables and basmati rice.
Great place. Had my 8th old daughter with me and she wanted spaghetti…. I just looked for it and went. I would say it’s a date night kind of place and atmosphere. She loved it even though I had no idea and we walked in after just getting out of a pool…

Nicole 's is one of our favorite places to eat. We come here to celebrate events or just to chill and have a delicious dinner. The Gorgonzola tenderloin is my favorite!! Hubby had the pork shank and or soon had the salmon. They loved their dinner!

Visited this restaurant on a work trip with a very large group and when I tell you that the service and food was GREAT. I group had several different meals, but can personally attest to the seafood pasta 🔥, steak, salmon and chicken parm. In my group those were the dishes that, EVERY loved. I know that I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or just here in Springfield. It will be my new stable anytime I am back in the city

We had to sit for an hour and a half to two hours in a hot room because they had no air conditioning, it took us a half an hour just to get drinks, the owner was there, He should’ve comped some drinks something but he didn’t do a thing, he came over and had some dessert from the people that brought The birthday dessert. For how much our bill was that was very disappointing. The food was great though and that’s a beautiful place.

Great experience. food was excellent and the recommendation on the wine was spot on. Enjoyed the retro jazz music in an elegant atmosphere. Perfect evening!

Food was honestly very delicious....but I think it's overpriced. 10 dollars for a very basic salad and 26 dollars for tortellini but not fresh parmesan. I know, very picky....corking fee is 20 per bottle. They do have an excellent wine list, but man, the prices are crazy high.
Naomi S — Google review
This place has Romantic vibe. Food wise is pretty good. We ordered tortellini and duck, both were decent, but mushroom soup was super over salted. What I did not like for sure was that the waiter did not taken the soup off the bill, when we just tried it and said that it’s super salty. Other than that, I would recommend this place.
Anastasiya B — Google review
In town visiting family, and they took us to Nicola’s. The atmosphere seemed pretty nice. It was dark and quiet in the restaurant, which I personally liked. I ordered the escargot for my appetizer, and it was very bland. There needed to be more cheese, salt, and just more flavors overall. For my entree, I ordered the medium rare gorgonzola filet. The steak was straight up rare. I don’t think the gorgonzola went with the steak at all. Also, the steak was smothered in sauce, which I did not care for. I feel that if you have a good steak, then the meat can speak for itself. The steak seemed wholly under seasoned and that they were relying on the mountain of sauce to give it any flavor. The mashed potatoes were fine, and so were the vegetables. The plating was also sloppy for the price we were paying. As for dessert, I had the berry tiramisu which I actually enjoyed. The tiramisu had just the right amount of sweetness, and the berry flavor complimented it nicely. The mascarpone was also very pleasant. It was definitely the best part of my meal. On the bright side, our waiter, Ashlynn was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Ashlynn was enjoyable to talk to, and she was attentive. She was the best part about our experience at Nicola’s.

The Wheelhouse is a popular food truck located in the Springfield Mobile Food Park, known for its creative fusion of Thai and Mexican street fare. The menu offers a variety of options, including the ultra-gigantic Veggie Special Burrito with satay peanut sauce and optional spicy cabbage mixture. This unique blend of flavors combines cumin, white pepper, coriander seeds, fresh vegetables like broccoli and squash to create a delicious handheld meal.
Had a great experience at The Wheelhouse, an awesome Asian fusion spot. I ordered the summer salad and the Japanese curry—both were excellent. The salad was light and refreshing with strawberries, mint, and cucumbers. The Japanese curry was super flavorful and very filling. The chicken was perfectly cooked—moist and tender—and the bread had a nice crunch on the outside. The curry gravy was rich and delicious, with chunks of potatoes and carrots served over jasmine rice. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing new location! It’s been on my list to come visit the new location and try out the new menu since they moved. Everything was amazing. From the food, to the kind service to the space. We came in on a Thursday evening. The waitress took great care of us and helped me with suggestions since I have an egg allergy. The drinks were incredible. I had the curry for my entree. It was crispy and cooked to perfection. My fiancé had the carne asada. One of the best steaks we’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If you’re debating on where to eat, then definitely pick this place. I went here on a whim, and it was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered the Queen Calita and Carne Asada. Out of this world! Flavors were amazing! I don’t normally leave reviews but I had to because it was that good!

My wife and I went here on a date night recently and the new-look menu and restaurant were amazing. We split the pork belly fried rice and both enjoyed it even more than the original fried rice from the food truck days. Highly recommend!!
Elliot M — Google review
Oh my gotto!! Came in for a solo date with moi-self after not having stopped by since the relocation. I’m glad I peeped their menu online first to see if any changes were made & won’t lie, I was shook. Literally thought I was being redirected to a scam site & even called the restaurant to confirm, “Is this the same Wheelhouse that used to be a truck, but was also in a hotel, and maybe has now relocated but with a different menu?” Yes, all in one breath. What a change this place has made in such short timing! Upon arrival, the atmosphere was intimate, open & inviting. I was greeted/seated right away & had a general idea of what I thought I wanted to try. I ordered the Dragon Berry Mule Mocktail, Summer Salad & Carne Asada. Right off the bat, I was given a welcome plate of their chips & salsa. Their salsa was very fresh & the crunch from their chips were a great snack to munch on with my mocktail, which was a perfect concoction for my taste buds. When the summer salad came out, I KNEWWWW I was in for a treat. The trifecta of flavors that comes from the joining of the cucumber, watermelon & mint mixed together in that chili pepper dressing. I could eat that salad as a meal alone, but I needed to save room. The Carne Asada… Holy FREAKING airball. Y’all are sleeping for real if you’re not already in your car & on your way to eat here right now. You are clearly not reading the words being written in this review. Talk about cooked to perfection, bursting with flavors & honestly who in the heck came up with corn hash?? Don’t be scared of the jeow som if you’re more daring when it comes to heat. I highly recommend dipping a slice of the meat, potatoes, & a whole pepper with every bite if you want some kick. I went in with no expectations with their new menu, but was dancing in my seat by how good everything was. Definitely hit the spot for me & I’m excited to come back to try other dishes… but next time, I’ll bring my friends so we can try the shareable plates. The revamp might be a whole new vibe & design to a classic oldie, but this place is still a solid goodie in the 417 area. Chefs kiss to the boys in the kitchen! Please keep up the awesome work. Customer service was top tier per usual, so thank you for continuing to feed my soul. My belly appreciates it!

We used to go to the Wheelhouse when it was a part of the hotel. They had some great menu items when they were there. Although they kept a few original items there were also new items. We went for lunch and it was much different than their other location. It's in historic downtown and the decor is more geared towards a nice sit down experience vs the fast casual experience at the hotel. They did well with the decor. They staff is super friendly, very helpful in answering questions, and attentive to their customer base. However, the quality of the food was slightly different than what we experienced when they were at the hotel. Not sure what happened, but I think they are still adjusting to the new location and adjusting to the menu changes. We felt the good was more tasty at the previous location. The prices are slightly more expensive and the portions are a little bit smaller. We would be willing to give it another try after a couple of months, Again, the service was great and it's a lovely location just waiting see how things go.

Karai Ramen + Handroll is a trendy Japanese eatery in Springfield, offering a unique blend of traditional Japanese flavors with a Midwestern twist. Unlike typical ramen shops, this outlet provides ample space and stylish decor while staying true to authentic Japanese ingredients, especially the bone broth. The star of the menu is the scrumptious tonkotsu broth that simmers for 24-48 hours daily, resulting in rich and flavorful ramen.
Everything was so good! I had the ramen and my boyfriend had the chicken teriyaki rice bowl. We tried the takoyaki and we had some dessert at the end. I can just say everything was so tasty. We will definitely be back!

Karai is a tucked away gem  in southwest Springfield.  The atmoshere quint but modern. They have a large selection of fabulous spirits and cocktails with several beers on tap. The ramen noodles are their specialty, and they are DELICIOUS! The service was fantastic. You really need to check this place out!

Delectable. The thin ramen is our favorite. Broth flavorful yet not too salty. Appetizers (calamari, fried chicken pieces) are well made. The restaurant interior design is very unique.

It is a lovely place for ramen and sushi. The service and food were both great! I had pork ramen at spicy level 2 and it was a decent heat, if you like ramen spicy you should get the 3. The OMG Roll was neat since it came out on fire. The Jurassic Park Roll was very good too.

I love it here. The food is so good and authentic and the restaurant has the best atmosphere and ambience. I’ve been coming here since they opened and it is my favorite Springfield restaurant. Great bar and drinks as well. The staff is the best. They remember who you are. ❤️👍🏼

We had a great dinner at Karai Ramen + Handroll. The pork dumplings were amazing—crispy and full of flavor. My boyfriend loved his classic old fashion roll and the American beauty roll. I got the Jurassic roll and we spilt a California roll. They were incredible, with great flavors and textures and for the price, definitely would recommend. The service was excellent, too. We’ll definitely be back to try their ramen next time.

I had the karai Ramen level 3 and the California roll. They were perfect. The pork in the Ramen was tender with a fat ring for flavor. Staff were friendly and super cool. Facility was clean and nice.

Easily one of the best ramen spots I’ve been to! The portions are generous and you definitely get your money’s worth. The broth is clean yet full of flavor, perfectly balanced without feeling heavy. Noodles are cooked just right, and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. Their side dishes are just as impressive and well proportioned that round out the meal. If you’re craving ramen that’s both hearty and high quality, this place is a must-visit.

The brick-walled interior creates a cozy yet contemporary atmosphere, perfect for both coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers. The menu features premium brews and expertly crafted pour-overs, with options for small lattes and cappuccinos made with a choice of milk. Customers can also enjoy larger sizes of various coffee options as well as specialty items like the ginger berry smoothie made from frozen berries and yogurt.
Not particularly my style of the espresso here, a bit too traditional and roasty, but I get it that it’s just my personal taste. Nice vibe, friendly barista, a single origin batch brew available I heard good things about. Good coffee shop!

Great little coffee spot. Great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. I like small Latte/Cappachino menu... very simplistic. Cappachino and Latte only 12 oz., but so many coffee choices that come in larger sizes. Only 3 choices for milk, oat, whole, 2%. Floors and tables needed a little sprucing up. All in all not a bad visit.

I am impressed with the laid back atmosphere. There are some very comfy oversized chairs in a cozy sitting area that just felt so inviting and nice. I was a little disappointed that they didn't offer pour over coffee but I can understand that that is a very specialty thing. Other than that, I had a nice tasting drip brew coffee to enjoy while enjoying the atmosphere.

This cafe exceeded my expectations in so many ways. (Maybe it is a little because It was only the second cortado I have had in a year that was served in a proper glass) The space at Kingdom Coffee is well designed in a beautiful corner space that is filled with light, multiple seating spaces great tables and chairs that fit a variety of visitors and they feature their roaster as a part of the space. The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and skilled. The breakfast burritos are excellent and my son will still be talking about it for a least a few more weeks because he loved the bacon so much :) And of course the espresso is excellent! This cafe is a winner and I couldn’t recommend it more highly for someone looking for solid espresso and light breakfast/lunch fare in Springfield!

It’s wild that anyone would find their food delicious much less top rated! This was the most average bland taco spot. It’s crazy that these tacos are almost $5. The tacos were bland and mostly fat. The rice bowl was a bit more flavorful. The chips were salty. Overall food was 2.5/5. The service was great though even though we waited almost 20 minutes for basic food 😭 would not recommend if you want to enjoy your food but there was a line of customers, so maybe people like this kind of food!!

I have eaten here several times. My daughter introduced me to Team Taco ( it’s her favorite!) I tried every taco on the menu… the globetrotter and tofu king are my go to on the regular menu. However, you guys should put the ringer “ shawarmaggedon” on your regular menu… it is fantastic!!! A great neighborhood taco shop. Their everyday menu is great and their ringers are always creative and delicious. I'm a meat eater, but I'm always impressed with their vegetarian/vegan options. Pro tip: Average Joe as nachos with black beans.

Our food got out to us pretty quickly but there was a lot of strange people on the pavilion when we were there but it's downtown area so it was expected. I got the rice bowl and to be honest I was pretty disappointed. There was hardly any rice and it's not even Mexican rice but there was plenty of toppings. It was like slop more than anything because of the topping to rice ratio. We decided to try this place out because our usual places were closed. They don't have very many options either.
Bethany Y — Google review
This place is not a Mexican restaurant. I don't see why there are negative reviews that say dumb things like tHeReS nO sAlSa Or CaRnE aSaDa. Don't expect Mexican food, these are gentrified. However, they are very good. I got the margarita and it was STRONG. I can see why it's just a wee cup of it. Someone who likes to party makes those margaritas. The tacos I got were the tofu king and the BA Baracus. The tofu king had a zangy tangy sauce that made me lick the plate. Tastey veggies on it, like a slaw. The BA was juicy brisket 😋 Both very solid choices. I had to tell my husband to get the chips and queso away from me because I was going to embarrass myself and eat them all. The vibe is chill. I like the outdoor area even though it's hot as balls outside. In the evening it's just right. The people complaining about outdoor seating are probably agoraphobic weirdos. We came on a Thursday and it wasn't very busy. A few cozy couples sipping their drinks. The patio was clean. The signs are very clear about what is on the food. The lady at the window who took our order was a smiling face and helped us to decide what to get. We just had a great experience and will be back for more margaritas and tacos.

We had to get a quick bite when we were in the area, and the double decker bus and name drew us in. I ordered the Bombay pasty, and it was spicier than I'd anticipated, but so delicious. It was somewhat reminiscent of aloo gobi. I got a rose lemonade to drink because I'd never heard of that combination and was intrigued. Such an interesting flavor! My husband ordered the bangers and mash pasty, and the kids ate sausage rolls. Yum-o! Wish we were in town longer so we could sample more of the menu

It was ok. I didnt get to try the oggie like I wanted. I live 45miles away so its not everyday I get to stop by. I have been wanting to try a pasty eversince I discoverd this place existed. I was a little disapointed at how small the parking lot to the food truck park was (the newspaper drawing made it look much bigger and more impressive.). After having to drive around to the front and just barely squeezing in my big station wagon I was blown away by all the amazing smells of the park. But I was on a mission to get a pasty. After waiting a moment for a lady to order her meal I was ready. I asked for an oggie. "That lady just bought the last one." That accent! It was beautiful and made the bad news a bit softer. So i ask "what do you have?" He quickly listed off the available pastys but his heavenly (British?) accent and my ADHD prevented my brain from comprehending a single word he just said. With an "uh...." I ordered the Bombay. The man with the golden accent disappeared while I quickly read what I had just ordered. "Vegan, (ugh, I wanted meat) Roasted cauliflower, tender chickpeas, and golden potatoes marinated in spicy crushed tomatoes with spice notes of coriander, turmeric, garam masala, garlic and cayenne". Well, I'll try it. The man handed me my pasty and I was on my way back home. 45 miles later I got home and my pasty was still nice and warm. After taking a quick picture I took a bite. It was ok. It tasted just like the stews I would make using random spices and vegetables. I was a bit disappointed, and sad. I wanted something different, exotic and meaty. It wasn't restaurants fault. The crust of the pasty was amazing. Next time I'll just go for the shepherd's pie. Over all the experince was amazing and given the chance I'll definitly be back. I can't knock them for one pasty that didn't taste amazing.

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is a family-friendly chain that offers American comfort food with a Texas twist, along with cocktails. The atmosphere and staff are usually decent, and the New Orleans pasta is a favorite dish. The ribs and steak are generally good, although late-night visits may result in less tender ribs. However, the service is typically good, and they recently surprised customers with a limited-time Texas T Bone steak on the menu.
For me Cheddar’s was that one restaurant I always drive by and never go to. A friend suggested we go so we did at around 6pm on a Saturday. I was suspecting a long wait as the parking lot was filled and there were several families waiting. We were told it was only a 10-15 minute wait which is not bad at all. However, they said their high top tables had no wait so we sat there. The sweet buttery croissants they brought to the table are fabulous. I could have made a meal off of those. Our waiter was pleasant and kept our drinks filled. I ordered a Caesar side salad which was good, it could have done with a smidge less dressing, but it wasn’t anything that stopped me from eating it. The shrimp Alfredo was cooked beautifully. The spinach artichoke dip wasn’t my favorite, which is just personal preference because the friend I went with absolutely loves it. I would definitely return to try more

The food was great, as was our waitress. The portion sizes were very generous. There wasn't a wait when we arrived. Parking is a but tight if you're in a truck. The only issue is the place was a but under kept. I noticed a lot of dust on the wall railing since I was the innermost person in a booth. As well as all the smudges and grease covered fingerprints on the pictures hanging on the walls. Other than the stated, it was great.

Once again the "Google 2 year time span" is up, so once again I'm doing a followup review on one of our favorite restaurants in Springfield... Cheddar's. For starters, the fam was seated quickly in the bar area with the bartender Ryan M. as our server. He was funny, knowledgeable, and professional. All told, he was great! The kitchen knocked it out of the park! And everything else was fantastic as well. It's a shame all of the other cities in America don't have the level of service we see in Springfield. When we travel to other areas, we are reminded that "they ain't Springfield." Do yourself a favor and go visit Ryan at Cheddars.

Where do I even start, I couldn’t recommend this place to enough people! First I would like to say how extremely nice our server was (Emma) she was extremely welcoming. She took our order in a timely manner and didn’t let a cup go on empty. The croissants are the absolute best croissants I’ve ever even dreamed of. We started our evening off with the cheese bites and they really were so good! I enjoyed the bowl of potato soup and a side of coleslaw and let’s just say, the coleslaw is 10x better than KFC!! My fiancé Enjoyed the Alfredo with no protein (he’s a picky eater) with a side of the queso and bacon fries and let’s just say he didn’t bring home leftovers. The only complaint he had is he didn’t receive his garlic bread but he had his pasta gone before she could even ask us if everything looked good. The staff were working hard, as soon as someone left them tables were getting cleaned and reset for the next customers. Highly recommend!

We went on Mother's Day, and it was very crowded, but we only waited 20 minutes. Our food was so very good. Nice place to go to cleaning good service.

Very small portions, and the same old thing that many restaurants offer. Our waiter Zack (aka Matt Rife look alike) was great. The food portions were tiny. We got shrimp as one of our dishes and got 4 very small shrimp on top of rice as the entire portion.

Wow. I don't know what you are looking for but what they offer here is amazing! Exceptional service was the highlight of our experience. Kevin our server has truly mastered his craft. He explained all the nuances of sauces, sides and such, offering helpful suggestions all along the way. The food was spot on, flavorful and delicious. We tried a variety, steak, chicken (grilled & fried), shrimp, and vegetables. The sauces, honey hot, bourbon glaze and pineapple pico de gallo were sensational. What a way to start off a great meal with honey butter croissants. We had the following: NO. 8 SPECIAL: CHICKEN TENDER PLATTER KEY WEST CHICKEN & SHRIMP NEW ORLEANS PASTA CHICKEN CAESAR PASTA SALAD 7 OZ. FILET HOMEMADE QUESO & BACON FRENCH FRIES CHEESE & BACON MASHED POTATOES SOUTHERN GREEN BEANS BROCCOLI CHEESE CASSEROLE Nothing we had, disappointed us. Top notch food and service. A wonderful experience!

Great food & beer. The Patio Upstairs is awesome. Dog Friendly. Get the Crab Rangoon Dip and the Ruben Sandwich both were awesome. So good we came to eat twice in a week. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Springfield.

This place is awesome. From the beer and spirits to their amazing staff, this place simply rocks. They brought back their weekend brunch menu, and there is no better combination than a Bloody Mary paired with their breakfast burrito! Treat yourself!

Great beer selection -- I especially enjoyed the Vienna lager! SBC has a large menu, but everyone in our group found something to their liking and reported the food was good. I can personally attest that the burgers and the pulled pork mac n cheese were excellent. The brewco has a large dining room and a large deck upstairs that can accommodate large groups The decor is casual and comfortable--a perfect place to enjoy lunch and some very good beer.

Ryan made the planning of my daughter's college grad party incredibly easy! Attention to detail was perfect! And the constant communication by email or in person made me feel like I made the right decision! SBC did not disappoint and I would highly recommend them for any event you may have! Also, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't request Logan as your server. He remembers names, your drinks, and just made the overall experience one we will never forget. Good customer service is hard to find, but believe me, Logan has figured it out! Whoever reads this from SBC, please make sure Ryan and Logan are recognized for their hard work!

Recently visited BrewCo. Love the new service system. It was fast, easy and could go to the bar to get whatever you want whenever you want. Younger crowd than it used to be - great atmosphere and vibe. Great job to the entire team in a challenging time to be operating a full service bar/restaurant. Will definitely be a frequent visitor and will be visiting their other Rogersville location as well.

Bambinos Cafe on Delmar is a charming Italian trattoria tucked away in a residential area near MSU, making it a favorite among local students. The restaurant, housed in a converted 1930s grocery store, exudes rustic charm with wood tables and terra-cotta floors. Voted one of the best Italian restaurants in town, it offers a welcoming, casual atmosphere and an extensive menu of Italian favorites.
Fresh chopped garlic with your bread basket. Excellent service! Cozy atmosphere and casual neighborhood vibe. Very delicious food. Local Art on the walls. Awesome Tiramisu. Very charming.

The mushroom ravioli was amazing! The spinach artichoke dip was very different. It was almost like Alfredo sauce with a few pieces of spinach and fewer artichokes. The bread that came with it wasn’t even toasted. Overall I would go back I just would not order the dip at all. My husband got the Greek pasta not a lot of feta and flavor was very mild.

This neighborhood restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It is clean, nicely decorated, the tables are comfortably spaced, In addition to a great menu, there are daily specials that are very tempting. The server was so good. She took the time to explain the menu, making great recommendations. The food was delicious! It tasted like homemade, which is a real treat! There is plenty of parking. Outdoor seating is an option. This place is a gem!

Skip the Nonna. It tasted like can soup with boiled chicken. It wasn't very good. The bread however is good. Dip the bread in the garlic and it takes the nasty pasta flavor out of your mouth. The Greek was in a garlic butter sauce, with boiled chicken and canned olives. It was alright but bad after taste from the olives.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than ReRico Brazilian Grill. This traditional all-you-can-eat haven offers an impressive array of meats served right at your table, alongside a vibrant salad bar that adds to the festive atmosphere. For just $28, you can indulge in a variety of mouthwatering options including succulent steaks like horseradish and garlic, as well as delectable pork belly and sweet potato fries. The grilled pineapple is a must-try!
We dropped in early right when they opened. So, I think we missed a couple of things on the menu. But, overall it was a good selection. The salad bar was really good with lots of options. The service was good. I have eaten at larger Brazilian grills in larger cities, but I thought the offerings here were decent. You need to like your steak rare to be happily served here. The pork and chicken were cooked through and are readily available as well. Dessert was separate and we enjoyed the crème brûlée.
Penny E — Google review
It was actually a great experience to definitely try it out once. The meat they passed out how great flavor on the outside, but when you got to the meat itself beyond the yummy crust, it was kind of tough, dry , and unflavorful. It almost tasted like reheated microwave meat in the middle. The buffet items were decent. It was cool experiencing Brazilian eats. I did enjoy it and they did a very good job passing out as much meat and asked if you had certain things you wanted to try so they were very accommodating. The price was pretty steep, about $100 for 2 adults and one kid, although I did have one cocktail included in that price. For me, if you want a good steak, for that price go somewhere that perfects steak. But great experience overall!
Angel C — Google review
Everything was perfect. First time for the both us to this location but my wife’s first time at a steak house. A little dimly lit though.
DJ D — Google review
The staff were all lovely, and the meats came out quick, and often! However, the quality of the meats left so much to be desired. Most were chewy, and not one of them was hot. They ranged from lukewarm to warm, and we were seated very close to the kitchen so I know they hadn’t been out of the kitchen for very long. The salad bar/hot bar had a lot of options, but the same sentiment rang true throughout the restaurant: quantity over quality. I do appreciate the gluten free markings on their menu, and like I said, the people were great.
Katie C — Google review
My youngest son is autistic so going out is a special occasion. It can be difficult. The team at Rericos were very helpful in making it a great meal. Amazing service, seating us in a more quiet setting, and always the best food in Springfield!
Amy D — Google review
The food is exceptional and the menue varied. I like that the upscale atmosphere is accomodative to casual dress. I recommend the buffet style salad bar. Relax, enjoy the soup, and wait for servers to present steak, different types of steak. For pork lovers, the wait staff also offers pork belly. Those who love wine. Be sure to paruse the wine list. Some may find the $31 per person price restrictive. Loose your fear of pricing, and undertake a culinary adventure.
Ritchie M — Google review
We moved out of the area 10 years ago, and we loved eating here! We've always made a point to come eat here whenever we're in town. We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, so decided to come back here for our date. Unfortunately, this establishment has drastically declined since our last visit. Many of the meats were either cool/cold in some spots, or had that distinct "meat" taste. The cutlery was also mismatched, along with a lack of cohesive attire for staff (some professionally dressed, some in athleisure wear). To top it all off, we were sat at a booth that had actual dirt/grime/gunk all over the wall, which definitely could have been wiped clean before the restaurant opened. Everyone was nice, but I cannot recommend this eatery anymore.
Gage H — Google review
Staff was super nice and brought great vibes to the experience. The food was great, the lemon pepper shrimp was sadly half cold still (not fully fried) but everything else was so good I don't really care. Got to try so much food, Parmesan fillet was the best!

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a popular chain restaurant known for its American comfort food and charming general store. Many visitors consider it a special treat, enjoying the food and festive atmosphere, especially during the holidays. The gift store offers unique finds for all tastes. While some have had mixed experiences with their orders, others have found the service to be impeccable and the breakfast offerings particularly delightful. The restaurant is praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and delicious food like chicken tenders and grits.
First time here...ever and I loved it! The atmosphere is very unique and welcoming. The food was amazing and the young ladies that helped us were very kind and made sure we were well taken care of. Definitely recommend!
Brent M — Google review
So I've been eating pretty healthy. I chose the build your own breakfast as it had the healthiest selections. Egg whites with cheese, tomato slices, and 3 grilled chicken tenders. I had to upgrade the meat for a premium meat just to stay healthy and that cost an extra $2. So total my meal was about $15 with water btw. And boy was I disappointed. When my 1 y/o boy got his child meal they were about the same size smh. 3 chicken tenders as long as my little finger, 3 slices of tomatoes, and maybe enough egg whites from 1 and a half eggs. Decent cooking minus a total lack of any seasoning. Overpriced for that portion. Great service but way too crowded in restaurant side and gift shop. Finished my meal and couldn't even leave as the gift shop was packed (looked like a fire code issue). My first and last time going.
Joseph W — Google review
Not a great experience. Food commercially prepared not from scratch anymore. Everything over salted. Biggest concern was I ordered 4 OVER MEDIUM style eggs and spouse order 2 OVER MEDIUM EGGS. Out of 6 guess how many were over medium? None. Everything was extremely runny. Overpriced? Yes! Overrated? Yes!
M T — Google review
Granted it’s been over a year since I visited a Cracker Barrel. I bought the Mommas Breakfast. The three very small, thin pancakes I received each had its own consistency. The first was very soft and just a hair thicker than a crepe. The second one was very dry and a little thinner than the first. The third was very chewy and just as thin as the others. Both bacon had been cooked either the night before or like 6 hrs before I showed up. The server confirmed they do not make fresh bacon. There are better breakfast places with much better quality.

Cracker Barrel is a favorite of ours. We've gone a few times this year, mainly because of the convenience of how late they're open. Every single time we have gone, they are super polite, welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We haven't been disappointed with the food once! They often switch their menus out and so there are often different options for food being served. It's a very cleanly kept place, and being able to go through the gift shop is a bonus and always fun. We love that they have a clearance/sale section in the gift shop. We highly recommend this place!!
Anne G — Google review
The food was delicious! I had roast chicken, my friend had roast beef. Meats were tender and flavorful. Veggies were wonderfully seasoned. The waiter was friendly and service was fast. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because the restaurant was so noisy we had trouble hearing each other. Not the fault of CB, just happy noisy customers. We are definitely going back.
Kathie A — Google review
We had to remind our waitress that we were missing an entire meal, as though she forgot to put it in. It then took almost another 30 minutes before it came out. Some of the food was barely edible, some of it was acceptable, but not the quality that one tends to expect from Cracker Barrel. We were never asked about drink refills. The dining area was very clean, and most of the staff was very hospitable.
Dalton A — Google review
My breakfast was good as always with the exception of the beignets - they were a bit overdone. My husband also said his hash brown casserole was still cold in spots. Regardless, service was great and the coffee was fresh. Hank took care of us!

Leong's Asian Diner is a laid-back Chinese restaurant with a full bar, renowned for its signature dish, cashew chicken. The eatery has an interesting history dating back to 1963 when David Leong created Springfield-style cashew chicken to cater to the American palate. This innovative dish became a local favorite and continues to be served at Leong's Asian Diner today.
The OG of all cashew chicken! This was a staple every weekend in my household growing up in the 80s. Every time I come back to Springfield, I always get an order of cashew chicken and this original dish did not disappoint. Great service! Super fun atmosphere plus they have two small private rooms or you can convert into one big room that host up to 50 people. You can have buffet style in that room or order individually. Again amazing service. Would recommend. Will come again.!
Stephen M — Google review
Tried several dishes here. Based on remembering GEE's on sunshine. The Cashew chicken was really good , sweet and sour pork as well. Beef and shrimp fried rice was excellent. Egg foo young was disappointing. Egg rolls had a bit too much peanut butter. The Wong tons had a great flavor and they have plum sauce which is awesome.
Paul L — Google review
Prices went up...again! Most definitely not worth the money. The food is maybe mediocre on its best day. This time, I ordered chicken fried rice: $10.99 lunch size. The fried rice was not fried but more mushy and lack of flavor big time. More like boiled rice with vegetables and meat. Couldn't finish it. Trash. I also ordered spring rolls: $7.99 for three. That's just crazy ridiculous price for three spring rolls. Over cooked on the outside but not quite done in the center. Didn't eat them. Trash. Finally, the sweet and sour chicken ($12.45 lunch) my daughter ordered was good to her so I can't complain on that. The inside has dust and spider webs everywhere. Clean bathroom. Overall, the food is nasty, the people are so sweet and kind and the prices are sky high. I won't be back and I won't recommend this place. I'm just being honest. I'll post pictures.

This has been my favorite restaurant since my first visit. The food is phenomenal in all aspects from the plating and portions to the taste. Having dined at multiple Michelin star restaurants it amazes me they haven’t received one yet. The atmosphere is unlike any other from the moment you drive in feeling like you found a hidden restaurant meant for only those who have been invited. The staff accommodates that feeling to with their knowledge and presentation. The beautiful scene outside the building is perfect for pictures and to just kick back and relax after the food. The beauty of the gardens surrounding the property translates to the food as well. This is the only restaurant I would ever say is perfect with its consistency with every visit being as good as the last no matter how busy. The owner James and his staff always greet us with a big smile and welcome. The skills of the kitchen are nothing to be overlooked either. Though it caters an Italian menu there skills are far broader than that. With requests being an option ahead of time I utilized it was not let that that’s for sure. The inside of the restaurant is very homie and well decorated and lit. Table placement is just right for comfort. I have never had to wait to be seated from reservations. Time from order to presentation is average but nothing to complain about. The staff are attentive, quick, intelligent, and very personable. The prices are actually quite the steal especially when comparing to other high end restaurants. And last but not least the drinks are exceptional. I would recommend everyone try at least one special they offer. There menu options I recommend are -Pesto Limonata -Gilardis Pasta -specialty shank dish -Tiramisu And the drinks I recommend are the old fashion and the limoncello sidecar

EXTREMELY fabulous food. The best dinner my husband and I have had for a very long time. The menu included tasty dishes not seen in other Italian restaurants. They also accommodated my gluten free, dairy free, egg free diet. Still SO delicious! The staff was very attentive. Our server was patient and communicated with the chef about food allergies. Our food came out warm and our glasses were refilled quickly. The atmosphere was calm. Good place for a romantic dinner for two. After the appetizer, main course & dessert, my husband said he wanted a softer chair. He just needs a little more body fat. We will definitely be back!

We have been coming to Gilardi’s for years for birthdays, celebrations and date nights. I thought we would have to give up our favorite restaurant after learning of a gluten intolerance, but we were so happy to find out Gilardi’s has a stellar gluten free menu! The quality of their food is unmatched, and the service is amazing every time. During our most recent visit, our server Kent was extremely attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and happy to accommodate my gluten-free needs. We are so happy to have this gem in our town.

Well worth the little extra. We found them just by a google restaurant search. Yes the prices are a little more than what most would typically pay, but the food was EXCEPTIONAL! The ambiance is cozy, romantic, and the lighting is perfect, not too dim, not too bright. I had one of the specials of the day, ravioli with veal, delicious! For an appetizer we had cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto with just a hint of black pepper! WOW! My wife had a Caprese salad, marvelous! Definitely a place we will return to when in Springfield but I do suggest calling for a reservation as they fill the tables quickly, with good reason.

Haruno is a Japanese-inspired eatery that offers a relaxed dining experience with creative rolls and traditional Japanese dishes. The star of the menu is the Misoyaki Black Cod, known for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavors. The restaurant also features an extensive happy hour menu with discounted sushi rolls, appetizers, wine, and beer. One must-try dish is the Crystal Shrimp, which consists of large shrimp lightly fried and drizzled in a sweet lemon sauce.
Haruno is such a great little sushi spot! The fish is super fresh, and everything tastes amazing. The vibe is chill and cozy, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I especially loved the salmon sashimi and their special rolls. Definitely coming back!
Ruijia W — Google review
Haruna used to be my favorite sushi spot. The server was amazing! However, sushi was bland and not super fresh tasting (Miami Roll, Sex in the City, Jalapeno Roll) The worst part was the music to be honest. Atmosphere is such a huge part of the dining experience. On a Friday evening they played a 90's rock song, then Ghostbusters theme, into a Michael Jackson song, then some odd song from the 50's. It's a shame because the other aspects of the inside were really nice. Overall, a disappointing date night

Haruno’s sushi is amazing! The fish is super fresh and just melts in your mouth, and the rice is perfectly seasoned – not too hard or too soft. The staff are really friendly, and the place feels clean and cozy, which makes it relaxing to eat there. I tried the signature rolls and salmon sushi, and every bite was worth it! The portions are generous, not just for looks like some other places. The price is fair too. Definitely coming back and already told my friends about it!

Sushi was really fresh. I especially enjoyed it because the portion of rice was smaller than usual sushi. In this way you can taste better the meat texture. I would like to send speicial thanks the Chef. Higly recommend this place.

For a chic atmosphere and premium prices, I expect premium service. Our server was meh, but what really disappointed me was that I told her since the beginning about my seashell allergy, she/they made a mistake putting a seasoning with seashell on one of our rolls and she just gave me the menu and asked me to order something else instead of suggesting taking the roll and replacing it for what I actually requested, as it should have been, in my opinion. Not going back, there’s better places in town.

Coffee shop
Mudhouse Coffee Springfield is a lively coffeehouse located in downtown Springfield, MO. It's a popular choice for locals and visitors alike, offering an extensive menu of beverages, freshly baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. The cozy atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to relax with a cup of coffee or catch up with friends. Regulars love the off-menu Co-co-cabana-tribe drink and the variety of frozen coffees like the Grasshopper.
Liked it! I'd hangout here. Music selection was great. It's the cool, uncool coffee shop. Cortado didn't even need sugar!

I had a phenomenal experience and it occurred to me that I should leave a review. The interior is very rustic and cozy, and the service was great—the employees were all very jovial the day I visited. Additionally, and more important to mention, I have been trying to recreate my order at home ever since my initial visit. It’s like a dream that I can’t quite remember. I’m fairly certain it was a limited time item and is no longer available, but it was so exceptional that I feel motivated to taste test the entire menu. Six stars for the food and coffee alone.

All the 5 star reviews are legit. This cafe has a relaxed vibe, great coffee and excellent service! Definitely try the lavender-sage latte (they make those syrups in-house, btw). Cheers ☕️

Went here twice on our weekend trip to Springfield. Prices are very reasonable and food is delicious. I recommend the boom boom burrito and the toffee latte. So good! We will definitely be back

Love coming here! I go to local coffee shops a lot to sketch and paint. I like their tea and cheesecake and their service. But their vegetarian menu still needs a little work. Otherwise, I love it here and would highly recommend. The atmosphere is nice.

I took my children for smoothies and brownies, something we do every other week. Yesterday the smoothies and frozen coffee ☕ wasn't blended with enough ice and very watery. The last visit was the same. The coffee was delicious that was brewed, and very hot. The weekend prior it wasn't. Mudhouse doesn't have any milk options out such as almond milk or oat milk for coffee in case you're vegetarian or lactose intolerant. They said it's 85 cents for additional milk options for your coffee. During yesterday's visit I requested they punch my card for my last visit because I forgot to ask. The cashier said if I could find my last receipt or bank statement she would honor it and put my missing punch, which is supposed to earn me a free drink after 12 visits. So I returned with my screen shot of my Bank statement. The other two cashiers or workers surrounded her on each side and said we're sorry ma'am she's knew she didn't know she's not allowed to honor that time. I said well I spend between 30 and $40 each time I come here and that's really not fair I'm just trying to earn my way to a free coffee and I just forgot last time. The male and the photograph with the curls said "it's not our problem if you can't remember things Karen" I said I assure you that is not okay to treat me this badly, your burritos are cold inside half the time, you gave us watery drinks, both last visit and this one and your coffee is cold almost every single Sunday evening we come. I said I would like to speak to your manager or you need to call her on the phone because I want a refund, I was told I was not allowed to have a refund. I told them I was going to take a picture of them for my review and I was going to tell everyone how badly they treated us.So they posed for the picture smiling. They tried to call after us when we were leaving an hour later "mam, mam, excuse me mam" It's funny how I went from "Karen" to mam when leaving an hour later. I didn't speak to them any longer and the trio continued laughing at us as we left. I felt like I was in highschool again,I guess that's what happens when you leave children in charge of the business on weekends with no management or supervision.

Colton's Steak House & Grill is a charming steakhouse chain that embraces a Wild West theme, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. Known for its complimentary peanuts, this eatery offers a delightful menu featuring classic American fare, including mouthwatering steaks and seafood options. Guests can enjoy dishes like the Rituals Surf and Turf, which combines porchetta with shrimp for a unique twist.
What a place to dine at. Thank you. I do carnivore. So they had options with a full rack of ribs without BBQ sauce that was awesome. Blackened salmon that was awesome. And a piece of grilled chicken. I truly do recommend this place.

Oh my gosh!!! So good. My sister and I started with peanuts, then straw style onion rings appetizer, warm yeast rolls with whipped butter and honey. She had teriyaki chicken with rice and vegees and I had a summer strawberry pecan feta cheese salad with raspberry vinegrett. We ordered a 12oz rib eye with shrimp, a baked potatoes and sweet potato for the sides with rolls and all the trimmings to go to a family member working hard today. Very very good restaurant!!!!! Update: returned today and I got the chicken fried chicken with pepper gravy and my daughter got the bacon cheeseburger and fries for lunch. Started with the straw style string onion rings. This place is really good. Took home leftovers making 4 meals out of 2 meals and an appetizer. 🥳💖😋

Our waitress was outstanding. We went here for our 3-year anniversary and My in-laws accompanied us. Not only were we blown away by the outstanding food, but the service was some of the best we've ever had. I really wish I remembered the name of the waitress. Thank you for making our anniversary memorable. One of a kind. Probably one of the best experiences I've had at a steakhouse.

Came with large party, (14) . Service was excellent..! Micah our server worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Had a child and alpha gal in our party . Food was delicious, orders were perfect and glasses never empty. We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you again, Micah for making our family get together so special.

We were greeted as we entered the building and wanted to know how many we had in our party. We only had two. We were seated up front with our waitress coming to our table to check to see what we wanted to drink. We already knew what we wanted to eat, and she was happy to take our order right then. She brought out our salads and rolls along with our drinks. Our steaks came out while we were eating our salads. The food was delicious like we have had it there several other times. The staff was very polite and friendly and we had a very nice and relaxed lunch.

Steak was about a #6 on scale of 1-10. Ordered medium, it was well done. Could've had some more flavor to. I don't like to send food back and also didn't want to complain as we were with another couple. Fry's are great btw. Will go back and try again. It's also very hard to find someone that can cook a good steak honestly.

We had a great night at Ocean Zen. The food was fantastic, the service was great and the atmosphere was amazing! April 16, 2025 Fabulous restaurant. Decadent food and spirits. Exceptional service. Lavish interior. Most definitely a dining experience. I highly recommend. Delicious! I did notice nice rooms for large gatherings. You won’t be disappointed.

We went here for our anniversary dinner. I’d say overall, I was underwhelmed by the overall experience considering this is a “nicer” restaurant. It was not busy when we went. We were seated promptly. Service was rather slow. Took 10+ minutes to get our drink order after quite a while to give our order. We had to send the Old Fashioned back as it was watered down and full of ice. The food was good, but I thought for the price we were paying, we could get a better experience elsewhere. The aesthetics of the restaurant were very nice. The presentation of the food was nice. I did enjoy the roll we ordered, although it did taste of stale oil. Recommend changing out the oil regularly. The red snapper dish I thought lacked flavor. $16 for a small glass of basic wine was pricey. My husband thought his food was tasty. My husband said he’d go back. For what we spent, I’d rather go somewhere else.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ocean Zen is truly a gem. Chef Johnson brings creativity and care to every dish and it shows from the moment the food arrives at the table. The presentation is beautiful! The Salmon Ocean Zen bento box was flavorful and perfectly balanced, and the sashimi was so fresh it just melted in my mouth. On top of that, Chef Johnson himself came by to say hi and check on us, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. I highly recommend Ocean Zen, hands down one of the best spots in Springfield! 🙌

Pineapple Whip is a beloved destination for both locals and visitors, offering a delightful array of exclusive flavors like grape, strawberry-kiwi, lemon berry, and mango-peach. While the original pineapple flavor is always available, there's also a seasonal rotation to keep things exciting. This non-dairy, fruit juice-based soft serve is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.
Pineapple Whip gave free whips to children that completed the summer reading program which is such a cool prize. My kids LOVED the classic pineapple flavor and one had it as a twist cone with the lemon berry. I had the lemon berry whip and it was amazing! These are dairy free delights so everyone can enjoy! The favors change from location to location and week to week so there is always something new to try!Highly recommend!

Pineapple Whip is a Springfield specialty and also considered the nectar of the Gods. It is so light and refreshing, with each flavor being unique. It is a true sign of summer to finish a night out getting dinner by swinging by a Pineapple Whip stand and getting some for dessert. Or after spending a few hrs at the pool, swinging by for a sweet treat. Opinions vary, but I would rank the flavors as follows: Pineapple: 10/10 Cherry (limited): 9.5/10 Watermelon (limited): 9.0/10 Mango Peach: 8.5/10 Strawberry Kiwi: 8.25/10 Fruit Punch: 8/10 Orange (limited): 7.5/10 Banana Pomegranate: 7.0/10 Grape: 7.0/10 Lemon Berry:6/10 Chocolate: ranked separately because it is unique and not the regular whip. 9/10- it is very good and reminds me of a Frosty.

It's time for summer, delicious treats, and cooling sweets. Therefore, I have 7 words of advice for everyone: You need Pineapple Whip in your life. If you've never been to Pineapple Whip, you're missing out on a staple summer sweet since the 70s (Say that 5x fast!) While there are a bunch of flavors, the original Pineapple Whip flavor is delectable. Plus, just look at the height of my Whip in a cup! 🤩😮🤩

This is going to be my go-to coffee shop when I am in Springfield. I ordered the Ethiopian pour over which was really good and the Citrus & Fig Aerocano from the fall menu which was one of the best specialty drinks I've had in a long time. Traveling through springfield, we found this gem of a coffee/breakfast place. The shop has a modern vibe, the staff were informative and friendly, and the food/coffee was wonderful! We got the avocado toast (perfection), seasonal salad (so good), cortado and the banana foster latte (amazing)! We got the banana chocolate chip espresso muffin, a strawberry banana smoothie w/plant protein and an americano to go. Everything was delicious! Worth the stop, even if you are just driving through on I44!

Several qualities constitute a great coffee shop, and The Coffee Ethic nails all of them. The space is large and welcoming, providing the perfect study atmosphere and location. Their clean, modern brand pairs nicely with the older, brick space. Baristas were kind, knowledgeable and got our order out in a timely manner. I had the El Salvador Los Planes pour over, and it was delicious. Body was very smooth, and it had the perfect balance of nougaty sweetness with more nutty flavors. I also had the Maple sausage breakfast sandwich. Biscuit was fresh, and it was very tasty. Too bad I live in Phoenix, or I'd be here every week!

Pretty good coffee and the pastries were ok too. Really loved the service and the atmosphere. The event center in the back is very nice... great for hosting parties, etc. And they have different packages to provide pastries and more. The shop up front does need some serious deep cleaning (baseboards, lights, vents)... but overall not at bad experience. Would not be my first choice...but l will definitely stop back in.

We loved the unique menu & the concept of a discount for trivia of the day! The drink names & stories to go with them is what brought us to this coffee shop! The drinks however were not great unfortunately. The espresso in the coffee drinks were very acidic & gave us all tummy aches. The unsweetened iced tea was super cloudy & was visually off putting. We tried the affogato with vanilla ice cream, and both the hot and the iced versions of the outdoor latte. We also got an unsweetened iced tea. The baristas were nice enough, but all business & not overly friendly. Even after we mentioned it was our first time & asked for recommendations, we were given, a point to the menu and, “….. is a popular drink”. It was just fine. Not bad, not good, just fine service. I’m okay with just fine service as long as the food is worth coming back, and the drinks were not. The whole place had a dirty feel. It smelled musty & on the tinge of mildew/mold. With there being so many amazing coffee shops in the Springfield area, we will choose somewhere else next time.

Recently visited this Springfield staple for a book club meeting. I ordered a frappe and a turkey sandwich, both of which were excellent, but a little pricey - worth paying to support local business! The staff was very friendly, kind, and attentive. We sat in the back where there is plenty of extra seating and a chill atmosphere that was perfect for brunch with friends while we talked books and life. We're planning our next meeting here, too.

I'm a regular at Big Mommas and usually enjoy good food and "okay" service so I based my rating on my experience over many visits. I do I want the owner to know what we experienced on Wednesday evening, June 25 at 730 PM. A young man with blonde hair abruptly turned out all the lights and yelled very loudly. "We're closing, this isn't a joke". There were four of us inside the restaurant and two patrons outside. A woman at a table next to us had just ordered food. Several of us expressed our surprise as the hours listed were until 8PM. The same employee who shut out the lights stated very loudly that he had a catering order and we all needed to go. No apology. No warning, just went outside and told the patrons on the patio they needed to get up, they were closing, and he had to take in the furniture. Not sure I will go back after this experience. I've had rude staff the past few times I've been in. I hope the owner sees this and can turn around the experience patrons receive at his establishment. Love C- street, but life is too short for that kind of behavior.
Nurse T — Google review
I just wanna thank the baristas that were working around noon on 9/14 - ya’ll were so sweet to my mom and she really had a good time. You could tell they really enjoy working there, as they were happy to give suggestions and make something specialized, which is rare to see

Popped in here while visiting the C-Street Market and wow was I glad we did. Tried the Jacqueline and the Jefferson for sandwiches-- the staff cheerfully cut them and put half of each on our plate for us so we didn't have to juggle it-- and their chips. They only have the one kind, in plain, but they're the perfect plain chip. Crispy, salty, and light. As for the sandwiches: the roast beef was stellar, but the horseradish spread stole that Jefferson show. The pesto was sharp and full of basil punch on the Jacqueline. And finally, the staff. Delightful, friendly, and full of banter. The cherry on top of a great day.

The restaurant features natural gas grills built into the tables, allowing diners to cook their food in a communal style. In addition to classic BBQ meats like brisket and pork, Bawi also offers new and exciting additions to the menu. This contemporary eatery provides a casual setting for guests to enjoy traditional Korean side dishes alongside their barbecued meats.
Love the food, fresh and filling. I had the beef brisket, spicy chicken, pork belly and tofu. I never had Korean BBQ before, love the grill on the table and I was able to cook the meat myself. Makes a fun experience on a date or with family. Lots of vegetables, soup and rice great. Love how at the end of the meal you get ice cream! Definitely will go back. Great price too, all you can eat for $24!

My husband and I have never been here before and decided to go for a date. The waiter (Christopher) didn't take the time to explain how anything worked so we figured it out on our own. Food was excellent! Restaurant was clean. Christopher was slow to come back and check on us. Finally, when we got the bill, he said that he could cash us out at the table and walked off . Tired of waiting so we walked up front and found Christopher sitting down on his phone. Then a nice waitress checked us out.... My husband was generous enough to tip him (which he didn't deserve how much he gave him) But all in all the food was great but out waiter was NOT.

The place was not the cleanest I've seen. The food was "okay"...the steak and the thinly sliced brisket was the best thing we ate. The concept is super fun and we did enjoy cooking our food. The radish soup is definitely NOT worth getting...they offer it up to you with the white rice. One thing I didn't like was the dollar store silverware!! Anyway, it is a fun time with mediocre food.

Coming from a place that usually has kbbq this is a good place! I truly recommend, has perfect cuts of your typical meats and good amount of portions. The meat is also perfect marinated and the dipping sauces are the perfect amount of spice 👌🏼. Servers were fast and very kind. Also reasonably priced as well. I'm happy we were able to find this place here in Missouri.
Lisa A — Google review
The food portion can be a little larger, but it's all you can eat with a catch. No take outs, and you will be charged extra if meat is left over from the meal. And you have a 2 hr time limit on the table. You get to choose the way your food is prepped by you cooking it over a stereo stove. There are no paper menu's, you scan a vr code that links you to their website. As you scroll down they give you cooking times for each item. The menu options are divided up into 2 categories, standard and premium. Premium getting more options. Our server was friendly, and observant about our drink refills, we did not have to ask him or press the call button. If you are on a budget the standard is actually still good. But just be prepared to pay beyond $30 dollars for two. You sit at a table with an open section in the middle where your grill is in place, you get all the cooking tools you need, just no knife to eat with. Each table can sit up to 4 comfortably, so a parties larger than 4 I recommend making a reservation. Walking in may not work if you want your group to sit together. The set up almost reminds me of a Denny's just no large half round tables for groups.
Aaron — Google review
Yes, the service isn't always great. However, the food is amazing. You need to research a restaurant before you go, especially one where you cook the food yourself. The price is high because it is all you can eat. The desert is all you can eat. Its perfect for familys, date night etc. My advice is to make a reservation before you go.

Place is great, family always go and awesome food. Only gripe I have is when did they automatically start charging tips? Went in friday with the wife and 2 kids and when I went to pay bill it automatically had tips added to my bill. I didnt question it but would of been nice to know about before hand. Our waiter was poorly trained and seemed like he didnt care to much about customer service.

Even during rush hour from students coming from a local prom dance, they stuck with our reservation and served us in a decent amount of time.

Went here tonight with a large party. Overall it was good service. It did take a while to get our food and drinks, we ordered almost everything on the menu. My favorite was the asparagus appetizer! It was really good! Ordered the New York strip steak it was lacking in flavor and tenderness. I will not be ordering it again. Added on a lobster tail and the lobster was cold when it go to the table. Tried the hot rock and that was a fun experience. Not a lot of meat and seems a bit overpriced for the amount of meat that you get. The sushi was mediocre. Ordered the oh my god roll and a few others and I liked the presentation of the oh my god roll because it came out on fire so that was a neat experience. Salmon was good, chicken teriyaki was good and my daughter ordered the tacos and said they were really good!!! The drinks were all amazing! The pomegranate margarita was my favorite! Had the cheese cake and it was ok. Really loved the atmosphere!

My friends & I had dinner here last night to celebrate her new published book, "Woman of Valor", available on Amazon. Jada was our server & she is so sweet. Our food was excellent! The restaurant is so pretty. They let me bring a cake. Most nice restaurants will not allow that so I was very pleased. We had a great time and will definitely be back!!!

First time coming here but will be back. Noah our waiter was perfect knew exactly when to check on us. I believe the manager was also checking in service was outstanding our dinner was exceptional. As it was my wife's birthday this hidden gem was the perfect end to our day. I highly recommend coming here

Food great. But the highlight was the staff super accommodating and friendly had a party of 6. We all wanted to share every thing and they brought it out on a bunch of trays for us. Chefs even made a little snake out of wasabi, presentation was awesome. 2 from our party had to leave so we walked them out came back for some drinks, they put the football game on up stairs for us and continued to check on us! Just overall very great service. Even tho we made them fire off 3 checks.

I arrived at Kai roughly 9pm last night with a group of four, one of us were celebrating a birthday and the other a graduation from a Masters program. We brought a $50 cake to eat at the end as we have done to celebrate many times before, at Cheddar's, Apple Bee's etc. The wait was awful, even after having a reservation. It took 30 minutes to get drinks, the waitress was sweet but you could tell the place was HIGHLY understaffed. Seemed like every other table needed to be cleaned off. After about an hour and a half of being there we finally got our food. I was absolutely starved. About the food ; The sushi rolls were sub par. Collectively we got 2 steaks, a California roll and a Miami vice roll, and french fries. Both sushi rolls tasted like they were picked out of a super market the day before, and the steaks were dry. This establishment doesn't even have A1 for their dry steaks! Not any steak sauce at all besides a horrible cherry syrup that tastes awful. (bring your own steak sauce) At this point we were just trying to make it through the dinner. We got through got the check and asked for our cake - the waitress kinda bumbled her words, indicating that the cake had been "tossed around, or mishandled" and couldn't be taken out of the box. After 3 more staff members stopped by in an attempt to convince us that it was our fault the cake was ruined - which we did not fall for - finally who I assume was the manager on duty came to our table. The most 'professional' person in the building - the one supposed to be in charge of hospitality of the business - came to our table out of no where without request, to confront the four of us. Rudely and straight up lying through her teeth, we were told that we brought in a smashed cake. We were told it was "OUR fault." Their staff has "NEVER messed anything up ". also that "NO other restaurant allows patrons to bring in cakes", to someone who is a mother, a father, a business owner like we don't know how the world works. Very disappointing in this visit to Kai. Will not recommend to ANYONE.

Chinese restaurant
Corner 21 Chinese Cuisine in Springfield, Missouri offers a unique and traditional Chinese dining experience. Co-owned by Jiapeng Lu and Yuming Han, who brings over 30 years of culinary expertise as the head chef, the restaurant focuses on authentic dishes like crispy sweet and sour pork instead of Americanized favorites like cashew chicken or crab rangoon.
I was very happy to find this place. I'm quite the foodie and will oftentimes travel long distances out of state, just to satisfy a craving. Traditional Chinese food is something that I've never been able to find in this area and I typically travel to Dallas just to have it. I am a big fan of Sichuan cuisine. The spicy crispy chicken. And the crispy fish have always been a couple of my favorites, and they make them wonderfully here. Thank you very much to the owners for providing such a wonderful restaurant in our small area.

Very big portions! Definitely can get one dish and share. Even the rice you get is plenty for two people. The service was a little odd. The young lady working the front, cleaning dishes, also took my order but hardly saw her. By the time I got to ask for some spicy oil my food was room temperature. Crunchy chicken with nut wasn’t bad. Definitely needs some spice for my liking. The menu is very large and other than my “waitress” the other staff were very friendly. Several people checked in on my table. I would come back again and try something else

Shocked. Delighted. Swept off my feet. Better than most of the best (most authentic) Chinese places you’ll find in cities 5 times the size of Springfield. Do yourself a favor: Eat here. Don’t order your standard American fare. Shop their picture-filled menu and go for something real. I can’t believe this place exists. It’s THE hidden culinary gem of Springfield. Skip your visit to the world’s largest fork and visit this place instead.

Was good food! We noticed a lot of people sharing their meal. Once we got our meal we saw why they did that because the portions were giant. I played it safe and got the pepper steak stir fry. It was good. They give you a large bowl of steamed rice to share. My husband got some spicy shredded pork with chilies in it, not sure what it was called but he loved it. I will get that next time. It was great. We also the the pork dumplings. They are huge, they give you 8 of them and are very good. Overall good experience.

If only there were more stars! What an absolutely fabulous time we had eating here! The staff was warm and welcoming. They helped us decide which items to choose and what great choices the were! We had all of the dishes were so incredible, we had trouble picking our favorite. I loved the Szechuan Chicken was probably my fave. Just enough spice, dry instead of saucy and sauce a delightful crispness. Thank you for such an abasing experience!

This was a fantastic little authentic Chinese restaurant in Springfield. The food tasted amazing, and the portions were pretty good. The staff was also very nice and quick to wait on us. Each dish doesn't have a ton of variety, so it is best if you go with someone and split two or three different dishes! Definitely a great experience, and I can't wait to return to try some of their other dishes. I did return and was able to try a few more plates, and once again, it was all phenomenal. This place does not disappoint.

At Corner 21, the dining experience was delightful. The Hot Crisp Fish and Chicken Cumin Fried Rice were particularly outstanding, tantalizing the taste buds with their flavors. The service provided was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant meal. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable, adding to the overall satisfaction of the dining experience. It's definitely a restaurant worth recommending for anyone seeking delicious Chinese cuisine at a great value.

The establishment prides itself on creating a warm ambiance that's ideal for socializing with friends or enjoying a peaceful moment alone.
1st time in Springfield, we found this coffee shop. Great service and atmosphere. The breakfast sandwich and burrito are a hit, and French Toast is very good. We don't usually go for such a combo, but it is good, and prices are affordable. I would try something else in the menu next time. The bacon is really good. We had hot and iced Macha teas and they were delicious. I recommend this place. Iva

Cute local coffee shop! Great variety for the whole family; my son got a strawberry banana smoothie (which he said was delicious) and I got a flat white with heavy cream. The large is HUGE and way better tasting than the evil empire's equivalent. Relaxing environment with plenty of seating and tables. Would definitely visit here again!

Disappointing Latte. Ordered an Iced Caramel Latte 16oz which comes with a double shot. Received basically flavored milk. The roast had no flavor, couldn’t taste any espresso. Caramel flavor is nonexistent. Price is steep for the lack of quality. Servers were nice and added two shots of espresso for free but still disappointed in the drink for having no distinguishing taste or profile. Not a place for coffee snobs.

This is my 72nd coffee shop I’ve visited in the greater Midwest area. As far as atmosphere, this place is amazing! Very chill… they have light music, they have plants around… I feel the peace here. They have pretty good swag! Picked up a t-shirt and a hoodie. I ordered an iced decaf almond milk latte and a breakfast burrito. Definitely on my top 10 list of coolest coffee shops to visit.

We stopped by for a quick drink and loved the decoration and all the plants in this cafe. There were plenty of options for coffee but also a large food menu. The cold brew I tried had a good flavor, though the smoothie was very sweet; we didn’t finish it all. I wouldn’t recommend the smoothie but the café itself is cute and has plenty to offer.

Lambert's Café is a popular local chain known for its classic Southern-American cuisine and the famous "throwed rolls" dining experience. Located just south of Springfield, it offers a full menu of country cooking with tableside pass-arounds including fried taters and onions, black-eyed peas, and fried okra. The highlight of the meal is catching and savoring their delicious dinner rolls.
I hadn’t been here in about 25 years…this place is way better than I remember as a kid! My husband from Ohio wanted to try it out and at first I laughed… but Lambert’s has found a new place in my heart, and we’ll be back for more! Such a fun family dining experience! The extra sides they bring for free… and the plate refill if you want one!? Common! And the roll throwing!! Gotta love it. I also loved the big gulp drink cups, how fun!

Excellent food. Very diffetent atmosphere than most places. Be ready to eat a lot!! We had almost an hour wait for a party of 10 but it was well worth it. Plenty of rolls thown our way. Would recommend that everyone try this place out and mark it off your bucket list.

This was a wild experience. First of all the place is packed, locals definitely live this place because the line was out the door. Regardless, the wait wasn't too bad, about 30 minutes which e killed in their gift shop. Anyways the staff is working their butts prf but being the coolest people while doing it. They straight up throw hot rolls to you when you raise your hand in the air which is such a fun experience. They also come around to keep losing your plates with free food like potatoes, okra, and other things. The food itself is great, and honestly I couldn't be fuller. This is a place to bring large groups, you won't be disappointed.
Ronnie L — Google review
It's been almost 20 years, still the same belly bustin goodness. Seems like there's always a wait burgers it didn't take but about 10 min to get us seated. Went with the country fried steak and the wife did the chicken pit pie, each got two sides on top of the free fixes they walk around with, fried potatoes, black eyes peas, stewed tomatoes and macaroni, fried okra and so on and off course the hot throwed rolls. What a great meal, and less than $20 a plate. If its good enough for Bob Knight, its good by me!
Dave B — Google review
We enjoyed home of the throwers roll again. We’ve been many times. This time there was no wait which was a plus but I do think service was a bit down from the past few times we’ve been. Food was still really good! They still throw the rolls to you and have pass around to share. My fav pass around are the okra and also the potato’s and onions. They recently opened an RV campground directly behind the restaurant so that could be very helpful for those traveling.
Jennifer W — Google review
Had lunch at the Ozark, Mo location Oct 10,2025. It was beyond delicious. We ordered open-faced roast beef and the chicken fried steak. The portions are very generous, even the huge cup of water you get! The "throwed" rolls taste like good ole homemade bread grandma used to make. This place is a must stop! Don't forget to grab one of their hubcap cinnamon rolls for the road.
Vicki F — Google review
This place is just one of those places you go to for down home cookin', no matter how far you have to drive. Their philosophy is all about you as their guest and ensuring you are well taken care of. The food is delish, with HUGE portions! And what can you say about the "thrower rolls" other than they are to die for, especially covered in honey! The fact that they don't just put them on your table but deliver them by throwing them across the restaurant makes the meal fun and the atmosphere light hearted. Make sure you order your "thrower rolls" early and often. :)
Tony R — Google review
The atmosphere was fun and rolls being thrown across the room was fun. With that said, the food itself was barely lukewarm and didn’t taste good. Additionally, the au jus for our prime rib was sweet, almost like a bbq based au jus? It was odd. Our children wouldn’t eat their burgers due to the taste. If it weren’t for the cold, odd tasting food, I think our experience would’ve been just fine. P.S., shout out to our waiter Wyatt. Nice job, dude.

Black Market Smokehouse, located near Missouri State University, offers a unique approach to barbecue with different smokers for various meats. The owners, Scott Pitts and Jason Delcour, have put a twist on tradition by serving a smoky version of the Cuban sandwich. Known for their authentic southern-style pit-smoked meats, this spot has garnered praise for its homemade dishes and friendly staff. With plans to relocate and expand the menu to include beer, it's poised to become a top BBQ destination in town.
I love trying new places when I travel and Black Market Smokehouse was within walking distance to the hotel. Ordered brisket, chicken, jalapeno sausage, pit beans and chips. The brisket was super tender and moist with good crust. The jalapeno cheese sausage had good spice and the chips were awesome! Good find!

I am anticipating raising the rating to 5 after they move to their new location this spring. We had the Cajun and the French Dip. They were both excellent. Most people would like a beer with the BBQ so when they move south and add beer to their menu I will raise the rating to a 5 star. I’m not a Brussel Sprout fan but everybody says that they are the best here!

The Route 66 Food Truck Park in Springfield, Missouri is the latest addition to the iconic route. Located on St. Louis Street, this outdoor dining spot offers a variety of ever-changing food trucks serving everything from street tacos to plant-based dishes. It's a perfect place for a quick bite or a new lunch and dinner spot where you can enjoy delicious meals outdoors with friends. The park features picnic benches and an indoor bar for those seeking shelter from the sun.
My husband and I wanted to do something different for date night, and we decided on food trucks as opposed to dining in somewhere in light of the global situation. Today I scoped the place out. It's outside dining with picnic benches and a bar inside for those who want to get of the sun. I visited the Thai truck and had the spring rolls and pad see ew and it was fantastic. No pictures, I was too busy stuffing my face! Can't wait for date night and future visits when I can try other options.

This place was a cool little stop along our route 66 tour. It was a little underwhelming overall. Although the website says they open at 11, things really didn't open until 11:15ish. Two of the food trucks never opened while we were there. The food was good, portions were decent. Stop there if you are just looking for a cute stop. If you are looking for a great meal, keep driving, this isn't the spot.

Amazing atmosphere and very friendly employees! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with 4-5 food truck options and a nice little bar. Not a huge place but I really loved the vibe here, very low-key and relaxed. I had the Notcho Ordinary Taco truck. Fun, unique tacos at affordable prices.

Their soft opening yesterday and they were packed so we waited until today. Not everyone was open because the opening wiped them out but we still got to try London Calling and Davalon. We had the Chicken Ticca Masala pasty and it was delicious! The chicken was moist, the sauce was good, and the pastry was flaky! We tried the beef bulgogi Korean fries and they were also delicious! A little spicy and the fried were fresh!! Will definitely be back to try the other spots 😀

This place definitely shouldn't be a secret. A friend and I are traveling from San Antonio to STL and decided to stop here. This place is fantastic, and would 100% come out of my way when passing through to stop here. The cashier was super friendly. I got the Tampa- a Cubano with salami. My friend wanted a BLT we were informed they don't have that on the menu because of they rotate through sandwiches on the menu. The cashier suggest the Veggie- Dressed to the Nines and then add crispy prosciutto, this is what my buddy did. The wait was about 7 min I think. The sandwiches were nice and crispy and the bread was amazing. The ingredients were all fresh and top quality. The super star was that crispy prosciutto, was cooked spot on was just full of all that flavor and a perfect bacon substitution.

I had been so excited to try this place and sadly the sandwich was just meh. I honestly thought the sandwich would be better or live up to the hype but it was just basic and really not that great. I got the Guava Get Out and the meat was tough, SO tough and the onions were so chewy I had to pull them off the sandwich because I couldn’t chew them. Honestly, it was gross. I may try it again someday, however it’s not high on my list anymore. 😢

Such good chocolates!! Was able to find storefront parking easily. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I tried three different chocolates and they were all wonderful. I bought the dark chocolate raspberry and milk chocolate and they are well worth the money. These make great snacks and gifts. It also seems like the store pays their suppliers and farmers well which is a huge plus. I will say there isn’t much of a storefront as it is mainly two tables within a few feet from the door with I think around 10 chocolate bars on display. I think most of the building is the factory? It would be a cooler experience if there were more product options and maybe displays explaining the mission and products?
Youjin N — Google review
The store experience was really underwhelming. My hubby bought me one of their delicious chocolate bars at an organic store in Branson last Valentine's Day. After I noticed their shop was in Springfield, I've had the location saved just in case we're in the area. Well, we stopped by on our anniversary to discover a very small display of bars. There's probably more at our grocery store. I had read they offered samples, nope, not on this day at least. Not really any greeting, customer service, or display area to watch chocolate being made or anything. The lady just stared at us. It was so awkward we left after a couple of minutes. This place has so much potential. Very disappointing. 😞
Native C — Google review
My niece and I stopped by to check out the shop since she had never been before. The person at the front desk was incredibly nice and was very kind when she wanted to try samples. We bought a couple of bars, but still had shopping to do so we went to drop them off in the car. Another worker came out of the store as we were walking away and offered us an ice pack to keep them from melting in the car. That was such a thoughtful thing to do, and will absolutely keep me coming back here. Plus—the chocolate is amazing!
Megan T — Google review
Askinosie is the absolute best chocolate we have ever had, and we've eaten a lot of high quality chocolate! Our favorites are the 88% super dark blend and the 77% Davao, Philippines bar. The flavor and texture is smoother than any other chocolate we have had. Most bars with this high of cocoa are not smooth and silky. The flavor is so amazing you only need to eat 1 or 2 squares. We also love the 72% Mababu, Tanzania and 70% Ecuador bars. Every one is so unique and every bar we have tried we have thorougly enjoyed. After trying one bar while on a trip, we loved it so much we setup a mail-order subscription through their website. We order a box of bars to be shipped every 2-3 months - it's really easy to setup and adjust the frequency. Every aspect of this company is outstanding - their customer service is 10 stars, their thoughtful and careful packaging (including an ice pack & lots of insulation for the summer), their chocolate packaging, and of course their chocolate.

Nice coffee shop in downtown Springfield. I liked the scones and their coffee is good too. Nice place to just sit and work or relax. Also dog friendly, would love to bring my dog!

First time coming to Seattle roast . I was walking around trying to find an earring shop and saw this coffee shop. So I figured I’d try it. I ordered a peppermint mocha frap . The inside is nice . I’ll probably come back . Since I’m on down town a lot since my bf works around here . Thank you 😊

I'm not from the area, but while I was walking up the street this place caught my eye. Coffee was very good, I had the house blend. ☕️ Ambience was very relaxed, I could read my book and enjoy my coffee, if they had a couch or lounge chair I would've fallen asleep 🥱. Recommend 💯%

Really good coffee, and the Cherry orange muffin was delicious. Excellent service, and a nice place to chat with friends while you watch downtown.

Every time I go into Seattle Roast I have the best experience! The staff is always exceptional and kind, especially the blonde girl. I keep forgetting to ask her name, but she is definitely worth mentioning. Occasionally, I order coffee for my entire work and she is always so nice about it and has it done super fast! The coffee is incredible and there are several creative options to choose from. The prices are great too, and they even offer a student discount with your student ID! I also appreciate the use of recycled cups! Overall a great place with absolutely zero complaints from me.

They have unique coffee drinks, and I really like the open and clean atmosphere. I've been served by the lady with the light purple hair, and she was so sweet! She noticed my friends were taking pictures one time and offered to take one of all of us. Just showed me how kind they are and that they care about their customers. They also gave my friend a free blended drink because they were experimenting a new drink at one point! Highly recommend supporting this local coffee shop!

Awesome little coffee shop just off the square in downtown Springfield. The Butterbeer frozen blended drink is quite tasty and worth the visit!!

Nice coffee in a nicely decorated space. I enjoyed the environment, but the coffee grinder was a little loud for the small room. At one point, I had to shout a little so that my friend could hear me. 😂📢☕
