Bodies of Water
Percy Priest Lake, conveniently located near the city, is a popular destination for locals seeking relief from the summer heat. Spanning over 14,000 acres, it offers ample space for boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The lake is abundant with bass, crappie, and catfish making it a year-round spot for anglers. Visitors can also enjoy sandy beaches and designated swimming areas at Anderson Rd and Cook Recreation Area.
Beautiful views, I love the water & the birds :) It’s a great place to go people watching or have a small bonfire to roast marshmallows.
Victoria W — Google review
Going there late at night might be a risky business as it’s dark, not too many lights, close to the forest. It was pleasant on a windy summer evening with pink skies there. We walked down near the footpath close to the water. Didn’t see any water animals around though. Good, peaceful place for couples, families and friends. Take some drinks and food with you to enjoy.
Paridhi — Google review
It was gorgeous. If you're not sure what to expect and you come from somewhere with a large lock and damn your going to feel a little under whelmed. It seemed under deveoped. But as an avid nature lover you'll appreciate the ruggedness & that's its not more modernized. Even cool & breezy we saw several people enjoying the area. They had a dog park& lookout area as well as places to pull over for views.
Anna B — Google review
Get yourself a boat, some friends, and some drinks. This lake is an awesome hangout for swimming and just lounging around if you have a boat. The water is quite warm from late spring to early autumn. Definitely worth a few trips with a group of friends.
Rob V — Google review
We were there for Easter and The trails were a little unkempt and there was no warning of how bad the flooding would be and we had to turn back. I definitely can tell this place would have been more enjoyable if we came at a different time. The best part was someone left some little fairy doors all along the trail. My daughter and I enjoyed looking for them.
Kylie B — Google review
We thank Percy Priest so much for being the spot for our first Black Moga session. We had a beautiful turnout dispute the weather showing signs of not playing fair! Nonetheless, a great view with even a greater vibe. Definitely took our boat on the water to vibe. Sweet serenity!

This lake is only ten minutes from where I live so I am a frequent visitor! And I'm a huge fan too. I moved to Tennesse from a rural part of Kentucky, smack dab in the Appalachian mountains, and I've really missed having nature right out my back door. However, this lake does well to really satiate my cravings for a little sunshine and singing birds! The weather has slowly been getting better and better and I love running up there and reading under a tree or just sitting on a rock by the lake and soaking up some sun. I haven't been here for the summer lake time, but I have a feeling I'll be taking a plundge into it when that time does come! I can imagine this being an awesome hang out for the whole family and a great place to brings a picnic blanket and just relax. It has always been so clean, I'm not even sure I have ever seen litter there! Just awesome!
Terry S — Google review
I love this lake! I've been coming here off and on for 35 years. The history is fascinating, and it's just the beginning. It sits atop what was an old dying town but once the county seat (I think). If you're in Nashville, take a day and spend it on this lake. The main body is wide open, but the lake has a number of craggy tributaries and islands. Fishing for striper and bass - exceptional. I've seen stripers in the 50 lb range. And the fishing is great below the dam, tooPontoon boat rentals area avail, and a day spent in the sun swimming and hanging out - ideal. TVA built the lake. When they flooded the valley the lake didn't fill to the level it was supposed to, because nobody noticed the network of caves under the surface that also had to fill up.

Old Hickory Beach is a delightful escape located along the picturesque shores of Old Hickory Lake, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a refreshing break from everyday life. With its expansive sandy area and inviting shade trees, visitors can enjoy wading in the gentle waters or simply lounging on the beach while soaking up the sun. Families will find joy in building sandcastles, while furry friends can frolic freely in this pet-friendly haven.
Spent a few days here in February, beautifully cared for grounds with various tropical plants including several species of Heliconia and Torch Ginger that the hummingbirds love. The food was amazing and the lovely hostess Ms. Ally is just as sweet as can be as well as being gorgeous!

Man made beach by the locke on old hickory. 5 dollars per car to access in the summer swimming season. Lots of trees and well kept grounds. The Sand gets a little slimy but that's lake swimming for you. The area is roped off and not too deep so very safe for kids and weaker swimmers. No life guard and the only facilities are a porta potty on one side and a small bathhouse. If you want to lay out plenty of sunny spots to do so. Overall good option for a quick swim or float if you don't have a boat or easy access to the lake. For non swimmers there is a small but nice playground for the kids picnic benches with charcoal grills and a pavilion for a party
Trey T — Google review
Was made leave at 6:30 pm (they 'close' at 7pm) even though it was raining and I had to wait on my Uber for 30+ minutes. Sticks litter the shore line and there is a layer of algae several inches deep in the water. Do NOT recommend!
Shelbie L — Google review
The Lake is beautiful! People go out there when others are fishing and relaxing and TEAR up the area (circle area) with their cars doing DONUTS in the gravel..it's all tore up over there and huge holes because of it..I know as well as others would say, wish they would fill up the holes out there and a Police presence out there once in awhile wouldn't hurt either..other than that it's BEAUTIFUL!
Craig K — Google review
I came here with my family a few years back, not a bad man made beach just sticks everywhere and a little trash. It would be beautiful it it was well kept up
Pamela D — Google review
We visited the park and wanted to get a quick family photo on the small beach area before sunset. The park was scheduled to close at 7:00 PM, and we arrived around 6:40 PM. An older white woman, who appeared to be an employee there, immediately approached us in a golf cart, acting very rude and demanding that we leave immediately saying the park is closed. She would not listen to my attempts to explain that we were just taking a quick picture and would leave promptly after as planned. She then drove her golf cart at us, which was frightening for my young kids. Her behavior seemed especially harsh compared to how she treated other park guests. We watched her patiently escort a white family out, giving them plenty of time, while simultaneously being very aggressive towards us and another Hispanic family. Her behavior felt prejudiced and created a very negative and scary experience for my children who were with me but we left promptly as asked reminding her to be more respectful to people as it would get her a better response. The beach area itself is very small, and it's a shame that a single employee could ruin what should have been a nice family outing. This kind of unprofessional and discriminatory behavior is unacceptable and I pray she learns from it.
Safiyyah S — Google review
A relaxing place that you could just unwind and chill back and listen to the water and the wind blowing in your hair and such beautiful beautiful beautiful sky views an outside views of different animals and birds from the nature but I wouldn't come at night kind of scary
Melissa G — Google review
The sunset and sun coming up is amazing they just installed a new box only taking credit cards to get into the park area which sucks cause what if people don't have a card no beach area which has the beach playground tables and a pavilion you can rent and they don't have plenty of grills they need more tables and grills

Amusement park
Nashville Shores is a 385-acre lakeside resort offering two exciting family activities: the Nashville Shores Waterpark and Treetop Adventure Park. The waterpark, open during warm months, boasts over 1 million gallons of lakefront fun with slides, a wave pool, lazy river, water treehouse, and more. Meanwhile, the Treetop Adventure Park offers aerial courses for all ages.
Fun time with the family. It has slides for kids and adults. I felt safe and it was kept nice and clean. Ordered a cheeseburger and pizza and food was decent. We enjoyed ourselves and definitely will come back!
Allyson F — Google review
We had a lot of fun. We were 5 persons, my wife, her cousin with her 2 sons. We start by the lazy river, then the wave pool, and finish by all the water slides. The fact that it was a week day, there was not much people. We can slide as much as we want. Parking lot is very wide and had a lot of space. We had free tickets to enter to the waterpark, provided by the company of the husband's cousin.
Steph28 — Google review
What a great waterpark!! Snack trucks and food areas inside if you get hungry. (Ask prices if they're not listed, we had sticker shock spending $15 on a cup of coffee!) The wave pool is big and plenty of chairs, we had no problem finding seats the week we were there. The lazy river is very relaxing but can get a little crowded. There are several very nice slides my thrill seeking teens enjoyed. Truly fun for all ages and right next to a campground for convenience. I suggest buying the season pass using their black friday special as it was very cost efficient!!
Ashley S — Google review
We went for a movie in the wave pool, which happens after the rest of the park closes I guess, so I didn't really get to experience the PARK. Still had a great time. Very excited about next year. Everything I saw at least looks like it's going to be fun, but I didn't really see anywhere to swim while we were walking through. Will update after a proper summertime visit, but Google kept telling me to leave a review so here we are. We did have to stop the movie because of a storm, but that's not their fault.
Sylvir G — Google review
So the water park was closed as it was off season but the grounds was beautiful. Dog park, hiking trail, kids playground, weekend movie. Definitely a great spot to stop as u travel. Can’t wait to return when water park is open
Stephanie C — Google review
We visited Nashville Shores and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. For the online price of admission, $49.99 (plus a separate parking fee, $18.00), you’d expect a clean, well-maintained waterpark — but this place is far from it. First, the park was dirty. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, and the chairs and loungers were covered in grime. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. For a family-focused park, the lack of cleanliness was pretty shocking. The food is outrageously overpriced for the quality you get — we paid $65 for a family of four and that didn’t even include drinks. Fountain drinks are $5.99 each with no refills. For what they charge, you’d expect decent food, but it was seriously below average — think cheap concession food at fine dining prices. Every table was dirty leaving us to clean our own table before we could eat. The whole park is rundown and feels like it’s badly in need of updates and better maintenance. It’s not fair to charge premium prices when you’re offering a subpar experience. Overall, not worth the money and definitely not somewhere we’d return unless major improvements are made. Honestly, if you’re looking for a great family waterpark experience, go to Holiday World in Indiana. It’s clean, well-managed, includes free parking, free soft drinks, and even free sunscreen. The food there is not only better, but the pricing is way more reasonable, and the whole atmosphere is focused on making families feel welcome and valued. Nashville Shores could learn a lot from how Holiday World treats its guests. Until Nashville Shores gets a major overhaul, we won’t be back — and I wouldn’t recommend it to others either. Save your money and drive a little farther for a much better experience.
Rachel T — Google review
We need more stuff to do in Tennessee. The season pass is worth it. Know who’s making your funnel cakes. Some people can’t cook. Pizza is cardboard. Chicken is good. Newer clean tubes and equipment for now. Rides take about 20 to 30 mins early to mid June. Feels safe. Good waterpark.
Keaton M — Google review
We got the after 4:00 p.m. tickets and still had plenty of time to ride everything. We got to watch the fireworks on the beach! It was a great time!

Cook Day Use Area is a lakeside retreat offering a large sandy swimming beach, fishing opportunities, and a nature trail. The area features two picnic shelters for visitors to enjoy. It's the perfect spot for a fun day out with family or friends, providing picturesque scenery and a paved walking trail along the shoreline. Despite some reports of overcrowding during peak times, it remains one of the cleanest and nearest beaches in Nashville.
Very nice clean The kids had an amazing time it was a cool nice day

Gorgeous scenic views on the shoreline of J. Percy Priest Lake! Great location to hike, enjoy a swim beach, walk by the water, go #boating from a launch ramp, or for 🧺 picnics. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District operates and maintains this day use area. It costs $5 per vehicle to enter. #Outdoors #CorpsLakes #Recreation #Hiking
Lee R — Google review
The people who run the lake beach area are very rude. I used to love bringing my kids to this swim area. But 90 minutes before closing they ride around on carts hollering closing time, and then at 6:29 (they close at 7) we were alerted via loud alarms and police cars to get out of the water. It sounded like an attack happening. My kids were scared. I approached politely to say as a civilian this is a very inhospitable way to let us know it’s close to closing time. I got chewed out by a cop and a veteran who volunteers there. I will find a new more family friendly area to visit. This isn’t it. These people let the world ruin them of any kindness and joy.

Love this place stay grounded in nature always take your shoes off and let your feet feel the grass
Tamika M — Google review
Absolute chaos. Nice parking lot and ample picnic tables and shade shelters but garbage and debris everywhere, everything smells like fish and flies everywhere! Fun if you have kids, but not if you want a nice relaxing day at the water
Susan W — Google review
Wont be back. Female gate attendant is rude. I pulled up to the booth a little too far away and apologized, made my adjustments as quickly as I could as to not make them wait but then was told “ You sure are in a rush” Nobody was even behind me. I wasn’t being dangerous in any way. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding but I was having a really bad day and just wanted to come to the beach by myself to read and your comment really upset me. I got there at 3 and was told not to stay long because they close at 7. How are you already rushing people out before they even get there? Relax… Ended up leaving at 345 because I just didn’t even feel like being there anymore. Bathrooms are small and unkept.
Sarah W — Google review
Great Family Area! No entry fees Monday-Wednesday. Parking was just a few feet from the water and has a great jungle gym. No swings though. The park Ranger gives a 30min notice before closing beach area. Mostly Sandy bottom. The beach area has about a 2 feet concrete wall you have to climb down surrounding most of the area but at the far end in front of the play area it is flat. Incredible day with my 2 1/2 years old. Highly recommend.
Sara M — Google review
Lovely place to visit for a quick dip in a nice lake. $5 per car load of people, but they don't take cash. Also, they DO NOT ALLOW PETS, which made our visit extremely short.

Old Hickory Lake, located near Nashville, is a popular spot for boating and fishing. The lake offers a sandy beach at Old Hickory Beach where visitors can swim and soak up the Tennessee sun. Gallatin, the county seat of Sumner County, is known for its inclusive community and lakefront parks and trails. Just 25 miles outside the city, this man-made reservoir attracts both locals and tourists seeking recreational activities on the water.
I moved to TN for work from the SW and the only place that felt like home was The Lake. It’s so peaceful, and beautiful. Blue Turtle Bay Marina has the best food and ambiance. This is one of the best perks of being in Nashville

Old Hickory Lake Old Hickory Lake in Tennessee is an absolute gem for outdoor enthusiasts. The serene beauty of this lake is unparalleled, and it offers a plethora of recreational activities. Whether you're into boating, fishing, or just relaxing by the water, Old Hickory Lake has it all. The fishing opportunities here are fantastic, with a variety of fish species to catch. The scenic surroundings and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect spot for picnics and family outings. If you're looking for a peaceful escape into nature, Old Hickory Lake is definitely worth a visit.

This is my regular haunt. The bass fishing is recovering. I'm on the water several times a week in the warm months. I travel from the dam to the 109 crossing. If you're going and you plan to take fish home and don't catch and release, I plead with you to follow the current length and limit laws. There are slot limits on some species. I've seen people take 8" bass and put them in their cooler. That's just plain pathetic! Please, please, please! Play by the rules.
Martin L — Google review
I've spent (and still do each year) a lot of time on this lake. I highly suggest going early in the morning when the lake is less crowded. Overall it's a great lake that is very easily accessible to the Gallatin and Hendersonville area, but there is definitely more debris than other lakes in TN, and also murkier water, which keeps me from rating this 5 stars.
Joshua H — Google review
Note, do NOT come here unless it is sunset. I would not come here unless it was sunset. Regardless, many people have chosen to build their homes next to the river. Very nice homes, straight from a painting. Would genuinely inspire me to paint, for that matter. Would be perfect if the area wasn’t constantly flooded, I fear for what’ll happen when it finally manages to drain. Ducks, too. Silly little beast monsters

I've lived in Nashville 48 years and this is absolutely the best lake to fish in Middle Tennessee. A great variety of species. From fishing shallows for largemouth early in the morning to hook in a large catfish in the middle of the night. You can't go wrong with this late. If anyone would like a guided trip hit me up I have fished this late since I was 6 years old and know it like the back of my hand.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville is a must-visit attraction for music enthusiasts. It showcases the rich history, traditions, and impact of country music through interactive exhibits and a vast collection of memorabilia. Situated near Broadway's honky-tonks, it offers state-of-the-art galleries, event spaces, retail areas, and classrooms.
Big museum! Lots to cover! While we enjoyed our visit, the museum itself seemed a bit dark. I felt like brighter lighting would make for a better experience. That's just me, but I would highly recommend visiting since it is the highlight of visiting Nashville!
Blue T — Google review
An absolute must-see if you're ever in Nashville! The exhibits are beautifully curated--blending history, memorabilia, and interactive displays that bring country music to life. From legendary artists to modern stars, there's so much to see and learn. Whether you're a lifelong country music fan or just curious, this museum gives you an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

The Country Music Hall of Fame is an incredible showcase of music history and artistry in Nashville! We bought our tickets ahead of time, which was definitely the way to go. The museum is so easy to navigate, and since it’s a self-guided tour, we were able to move quickly and see as much as possible at our own pace. The exhibits are thoughtfully organized and full of fascinating details. I loved seeing all the stage costumes. It’s incredible how tiny some of them are in real life!! The stories, creativity, and care put into every display really make you appreciate the heart and history behind country music. The Dolly Parton display was one of my absolute favorites. Seeing her stunning outfits and personal items up close was magical. Her personality and legacy shine in every detail! Standing in the Rotunda, surrounded by the words “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” was really moving. It’s in the heart of the museum and very cool to see. Overall, the Country Music Hall of Fame is beautifully designed, inspiring, and well worth the visit. Definitely arrive early if possible, and give yourself plenty of time to soak it all in. It’s an unforgettable experience!
How L — Google review
This is an incredible museum, a three floor space with so much of country music’s history, highlights and accomplishments. One the first floor, they have the ticket booth, the museum store and a theater. Lines stars to get long around 11am. When we went tickets were around $32 for museum only, and $55 for Studio B package. Studio B tour is highly recommended. Tickets were good for whole day, they allowed going in and out of the museum, that was unique and so considerate of them. The store so many wonderful country music themed products, souvenir items with music legends images, and even a guitar try out area. On the third floor, they also had an arts and crafts area for guests to design their own paper guitars with props. The museum tour begins on third floor. Right in front of the entrance they had the Taylor Swift special section. We loved seeing some of the items from her Eras Tour. The section had so many other cool things about TS’ life and her achievements in country music. The hallway then taken you along the timeline of country music starting from early 1900s. Several artists, singers, groups are highlighted for their contribution to country music in different decade. The path leads lead to a huge hall where so many vinyls are placed in a giant wall for all the songs that became gold, silver and Platinum hits. It was one of coolest part of the museum. On the second floor they have the giant hall for the hall of fame inductees. Each hall of famer has a placard dedicated to their name with a short summery of their contributions and achievements. It was so much to take in for the 1-2 hours I spent in museum. I knew some of the legends, but I got to learn about so many others. It was an amazing museum experience for me. All the stuff members were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. No doubt this is a must see destination when visiting Nashville.

Huge collections of the history of country music. Very informative and many displays on site. We got the general admission with RCA studio admission. I think it’s worth it. There are several floors to go thru. You can see the outfits, the instruments and the stories. Some interactive stations. Discount for military, medical personnel, local residents etc.

If you like outfits of famous people on a headless dummy it’s great. Honestly not all that. I didn’t learn a ton. There’s a huge Lainey Wilson exhibit for some reason. But the cars and guitars are awesome to see.

Great place for country history from music to movies to lyrics and lifestyles. 2 full floors and part of it was under renovation. I’m not a country girl but the history aspect and memories were great. From dresses, original songs, movie props and lots of musical instruments the amount of information is intense. You can spend hours either trying to find that special album to reading all the details about their music careers. From the original country musicians to the newest this museum covers it all. And even though I am not a country musicians person this holds a lot of history.

WOW! This place is rich with history and thousands of articles of country music to appreciate. We spent hours in this museum going down memory row listening to 90s country music and taking in all the generations from before. The museum was so interactive with so much to see, read and experience. It’s great for all ages! Definitely a highlight from our Nashville trip!

Nashville, also known as the capital of country music, is a vibrant city with a rich history and diverse entertainment scene. Visitors can explore various historical sites such as Fort Nashborough, Fort Negley, the Parthenon, Tennessee State Museum, and the Hermitage. The city offers sophisticated dining options and a lively atmosphere for all interests. One of its main attractions is the Grand Ole Opry, where both classic and contemporary country acts perform in weekly live radio shows.
Attended one of the Opry 100 shows featuring Carrie Underwood, and it was absolutely fabulous! The energy, the music, and the atmosphere made it such a memorable experience. Before the show, we did the backstage tour—which I highly recommend. It was fascinating to learn the history, walk the iconic stage, and see behind the scenes of such a legendary venue. Whether you’re a country music fan or not, the Grand Ole Opry is a must-do when visiting Nashville!

First, but definitely not the last visit to the Grand Ole Opry! It's a show that is appreciated by country music fans and those that are just fans of music. More than just watching performances by iconic artists, it is a live radio show. Stories and bits of history are told by the announcer and artists throughout the night. The views from the seats were clear and the acoustics were great. Clean facility and friendly staff. We were fortunate to have selected the night Steve Earle was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry Hall of Fame. It was an honor to share in that special event. We had a 9 and 12 year old with us, who enjoyed the evening, as well. Young and older...perfect thing to do when in Nashville.

I had a truly unforgettable experience at Grand Ole Opry in Nashville! I didn’t come in as a huge country music fan, but I definitely left as one! I bought timed tickets in advance for the Grand Ole Opry Backstage Guided Tour, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I'm amazed by how much history lives inside those walls! The tour began with a super cool holographic introduction that brought the Opry’s story to life. The visuals were amazing, the seating was super comfortable, and it set such a chill vibe where we felt completely immersed. Then came the emotional flashbacks! Watching clips of artists being invited to become members and seeing their dreams come true, I'll admit brought a few tears to my eyes. Standing before the wall of members’ plaques really showed how much this place means to so many artists achieving their lifelong dreams. I could feel why people love it, not just for the music, but for the sense of honor and tradition that seems to fill every inch of the Opry. Getting to see the stars’ entrance and the themed private dressing rooms was a lot of fun to get a glimpse of. Finally, standing on the world's biggest country music stage, looking out and imagining what it must feel like to perform there...that was a crazy unnerving feeling! We even received a complimentary photo souvenir at the end, which was a perfect memory to take home. Before leaving, we stopped at the Opry Shop, which was huge! It’s packed with everything from clothing and boots to holiday décor and unique memorabilia. It's very easy to spend lots of time and money there! Whether you’re a lifelong country fan or just curious about Nashville’s roots, this tour is an absolute must-do. It’s really inspiring and beautifully presented from start to finish!

An Unforgettable Night at the Grand Ole Opry Visiting the Grand Ole Opry is like stepping into the heart of American music history. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the energy and legacy of the countless artists who’ve graced its stage. The show itself is a perfect blend of legendary performers and rising stars, all sharing the spotlight in a format that’s both intimate and electric. The sound quality is excellent, the production is seamless, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—whether you're a lifelong country fan or just curious to experience something uniquely Nashville. The venue is beautifully maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s well worth booking tickets in advance, especially if you want good seats or plan to take a backstage tour. If you're in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry is a must-see. It’s not just a show—it’s a piece of living history, and it leaves you with a deep appreciation for the music and the artists who make it. The Kody Norris Show, were amazing, we hadn’t really appreciated what Blue grass music was until this high energy band got on stage. The Auctioneer track was just brilliant and is the stand out memory of our US trip.
Matthew E — Google review
Take the backstage tour! Tim gave us a great behind the scenes look into the backstage activities, including standing on the stage. We learned some things about the membership process, interesting facts, history, and were given a very up close view of the dressing rooms and rehearsal areas. Don't forget the gift shop. Aside from the typical tourists grabs, they have a nice selection of ladies blingy, stage worthy western wear pieces and concert wear.
K C — Google review
A must see when in Nashville… the history of the building is incredible.. and when you combine the artists that play there regularly you have a winning combination. Suggest buying a parking pass and get your tickets online as the shows are well attended. The back stage tour is worth it for the hard core fans looking for a deep dive. The dressing rooms and memorabilia is very cool to see.

This is the America I want to be part of !! Went with a group of thirty on a Wednesday evening and could not believe the experience. Clean modern facility with great bars/snack areas and restrooms. Comfortable seating and wonderful acoustics. The performances were nothing short of spectacular. Very patriotic and family oriented - this is the America I want to be an integral part of. As far as an evening of entertainment it is hard to top this. Everything A-Z was well orchestrated and timed. There is even an intermission to let you stretch a bit. We will not EVER go to Nashville and not attend this venue. I highly recommend it for all ages. You will NOT be disappointed!

This experience was amazing. Ill be honest it was a buy now thought later thing. I came here specifically for shinedown. I was so geeked out when I found out i was sitting backstage and I saw Zach a couple times. I also got to sit on stage with shinedown. Which I apparently didn't read the memo on that until I was on stage. I was over the moon to witness their debut there and being able to witness them sing a brand new song. I also enjoyed all the other artists that showed up there. It was such an experience to sit through and witness. My mind cant even believe I sat right behind shinedown. I always wanted to go to the Opry. Shinedown was the reason and im glad I went and did VIP. Because even I surprised myself with this purchase.

The Bluebird Cafe is a renowned intimate club in Nashville, known for showcasing both emerging and established songwriters. Despite its unassuming appearance in a small strip mall outside downtown Nashville, this 90-seat venue has gained global acclaim for its signature listening room style that captivates patrons with live performances by the creators themselves. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity.
Our family went to see a show at The Bluebird, we have been trying to get in for several years and didn’t understand you have to buy tickets the minute they go on sale! We finally got it right and it was worth it. We sat in the church pew section which was good, you can’t get a bad view here. But it was difficult to order food, no where to set anything down. We did it anyway and made the best of the space. No shortage of talent, the musicians were all fantastic! Wait staff was kind and on their A game. Food is good, I got a black bean burger that was delicious. My husband enjoyed the drinks. We got there really early, about an hour and 10 minutes before the show time and we got the last parking spot in the front lot, I hear there is more parking in the back. Also there are signed pictures on the walls of people who have performed there. Such a cool piece of history!

Wow! What a blast!! My friend and I didn’t plan much for our Nashville trip and then decided we wanted to go to blue bird but the shows were sold out so we got in line at 5 for the 6pm show and then got in line at 7:30 for the 9pm show. Yes we did back to back. No regrets. Everyone was saw was incredible. It was the end of our trip and such a highlight! It was amazing to first see up and coming artists and then end with established singer and song writers in Nashville! Don’t miss out on blue bird! If you don’t have tickets make sure to get there at 5 when they open to stand in line and at 7:30 for the evening show if you want to make it in!! The staff was so friendly and waiting in line was enjoyable. We made quick friends and were regularly checked upon by staff to make sure we were doing well!

Getting tickets to this is nearly impossible. I tried right when they went on sale and they were already sold out. I kept refreshing and luckily I was able to get some. The show was great! All the artist played beautiful songs. You won't experience anything like this on Broadway. The show is so intimate. We sat right next to the artist. My only complaint was the seats could use some cushions 😁

We got tickets for a party of seven and went on a night they were celebrating/honoring the work done by ARC of Middle Tennessee. The three performers were really fun to listen to as they filled in the story to their careers, their many music contributions, their interactions with music icons, and the challenges to working in the hectic world of professional musicmaking. I didn't know what to expect but it was a completely packed house - barely room between the tables to stretch your legs. The three performers were seated in the center of the room with patrons circled about. You could see and hear them very well. The waitresses were top-notch as they whisked between tables taking orders and bringing drinks and light desserts. The crowd was respectful and kept hushed tones as the performers told their stories and then launched into a song. I was pleased to recognize a few of the songs and interested to hear the back story for each. All in all it was a fun evening and hopefully was a good fundraiser for ARC.

We went for open mic writers night. The amount of talent from our 19 song writers was outstanding. We arrived about 3:50 pm and doors open at 5:30. When we got there, there were about 3 groups in line. While waiting, the line was short until about 4:30-5 pm. So I'd say arrive an hour before doors open to make sure you get a seat. Open mic ran from 6-7:45 pm. The security guard was great at keeping us entertained and informing us of the process. They did a great job getting people seated and allowing as many people as possible to see the show. The parking lot is small and there is more parking in back. They have a few handicap spots. The driveway had lots of Uber/Lyft drivers dropping off and picking up. The food was delicious and very well organized. I'd recommend looking at the menu ahead of time as they don't pass out menus.

Came here because my friend is a Taylor Swift fan and this is where she apparently got discovered. We didn’t have tickets since the show was sold out online so we lined up early and hoped for the best. Heads up if you try this: they only let the first 10-12 people in from the waitlist line outside. We got there at 4:30 for a 6pm show and were number 12. I think 13 people total ended up getting in that night, so if it’s a busy one, don’t count on it unless you’re early. Tickets are $12 at the door if you’re lucky to get inside. The workers here are insanely kind and patient. They have a million things and still somehow getting everything done and orders in and delivered. Please be nice to them! They’re precious! We got seated at the bar and ordered drinks and food. The setup is super cozy and the singers sit right in the middle so it feels really intimate. I got some merch at the end too. Overall, worth going at least once if you’re in Nashville

Wow and wow again. Made it over for Open Mike night and got to hear a fantastically entertaining lineup of original music by the folks that created them and brought them to life for all of us in the ever so cozy and cool Bluebird. The crew holding down the fort here clearly love what they do as it shows in the way they bring it together and make it a special night for the songwriters and the crowd. Will absolutely make it back here again. Many thanks to the artists for sharing their craft with all of us in the house.
RenegadegeeK — Google review
We visited on a Monday, open mic night. They were filled to capacity for seating but the door men were so kind. They asked anyone who wanted to pop in and listen to a song and take a few pictures just wait in line and they would facilitate it. They took pictures for us on front of the cafe also. Even though we didn't get to sit, it was still an overall great experience to see where it all began for so many big artists.

First time here. Love that they gave real restrooms. We got there late morning. We thought there was a sandy beach area but there is only grass. Definitely bring chairs or a large blanket to sit on. Perfect place to float in the water, paddle board or kayak. By late afternoon the parking lot was full and there was no place to park. Obviously a good place to hang with friends or family. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards.

How do I rate lower than a star. Trash everywhere, and lots of it. Bring close-toed shoes for glass. Doesn't seem like anyone using the park before us had respect for nature. Very gross. I attached one picture of an insect with great camouflage for this park. Hard to see him amongst the bottle graveyard.

A great place to go play at the lake without powered watercraft. This location also has a separate part to launch power craft, with many people out on different boats and jet skis. The paddle launch is what I've used and is great of kayaking, paddle boards and floats. It can be very busy on the weekends. I would have rated higher, but there is no vending, rentals, or working bathrooms.

Not too shabby. One of those parks where you can definitely tell there is more than meets the eye. Serene water with a mysterious overgrown island located in the middle that begs me to bring back a kayak or a John Boat. We went here on a whim after spending a couple of hours hanging out at Tailgate nearby and the kids loved this. We got to see a spectacular sunset and play in the water. The area was clean and the water was a great temperature for swimming (it’s June). Since the beach faces west there’s probably not many places better for watching sunsets in Hendersonville.

Nice spot to cool off this summer. My son used his goggles in the swimming area and pulled out that knife. Also the trash cans were overflowing so there was a lot trash blowing around. Have fun and please watch where you and the little ones step! Other than that we loved it. Close to house and wasn't crowded today.

I deducted one star not for the parks department maintenance it is for the publics lack of self respect to clean up after themselves. This is a great place to come relax and the Parks Department does a great job keeping it maintained… Wish the public would just throw their trash in the cans that are provided, fishermen are the worst! In the summertime they even have public restrooms.

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, located just 6 miles from downtown Nashville, is a zoological garden and historic plantation farmhouse. It features multiple habitats with a diverse range of animals and popular attractions like the Adventure 4D Theater, Soaring Eagle Zipline, and Wild Animal Carousel.
They have a lot of great exhibits, and I loved that they always had park staff around to ask where best to see the animals. I can tell the animals are very well taken care of and happy, which makes me happy because I really love animals. The food was a bit on the expensive side, but honestly that's to be expected at any zoo or amusement park. They weren't as pricey as some I've been to and I'm grateful for that. I loved seeing the vet hospital as well, where they were raising a pair of snow leopard kittens on the day that I visited. Their animal hospital is worthy of any of the finest human hospitals, and I really liked seeing the surgical room through the observation window. The only feedback I would have is that if you're traveling with someone who has disabilities, then I wouldn't go on a rainy day. Their electric scooters are not usable when it rains. I'd like to see them get a few small golf carts or similar for days when it rains. It would have really helped my mom a lot, and she wouldn't let me push her in a wheelchair because of my own back problems. Although I would have happily done it. She was in a lot of pain by the end of the day, and couldn't enjoy everything she wanted to because of her limited ability to walk at this time.

This zoo is great!! Very clean and natural looking. I love the beautiful trees and geometric shaped animal statues throughout the paths. The animals looked to be in good health and were easy to see. My only complaint would be I wish they didn’t serve alcohol inside since there are so many kids that go. That is just my personal preference though. On a Saturday, the zoo was busy but was still very enjoyable. My 2 year old had a blast.

Well worth the membership for the family. Such great landscaping and beautiful exhibits for the animals. Plenty of shade, restrooms and areas to sit and play (for the little ones). Friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout the zoo. Also, they have the COOLEST playground here!!

pricey, don't think they should charge for parking, or at least lower the cost a bit. zoo was nice. it's very well organized, very clean and displayed beautifully. The staff was very nice and helpful when needed. I did not see any elephants though and I think there should be a few extra animals on site but other than that it was a great day and a nice place to visit. Highly recommend!

It’s a huge zoo. We just happened to be near here so we thought we would check it out. I really liked that the enclosures were bigger than the other zoos I have visited. Everything was kept up with and clean (as clean as it could be given the huge crowd). There was also the original house that was on the property you must check out if you visit. There was also a kind of zip line like ride that the guys went on that was pretty cool too. It was just a great place for us to spend the day. It was fun to explore here.
Jess P — Google review
The zoo is great! They have a stork, but it’s not the one that brings babies sadly. All the exhibits were great. My family took our time getting through the zoo took like 3 hours! Giraffes run funny! Plenty to do! Kangaroos!
Matthew C — Google review
Awesome zoo! Make sure to visit tu3 Clouded Leopard Cubs - Joker and Quinn. Staff is informative and friendly. Food is really pricey. All money goes to the zoo itself. If you join their membership you get discounts across the US at zoos and other experiences. Gift shop is aimed more toward kids and less than adults. Wanted one of the tie dye shirts and dient come in adult sizes. They carry Fahlo bracelets. You might get to pet a kanagroo.

We had an awesome day at the Nashville Zoo! We loved exploring the trails and seeing all the animals up close. The kangaroos and the zip line were a hit! The zoo is beautifully maintained and perfect for a fun day together.

Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint is a popular roadhouse-style eatery with nine locations in the region, but the two-story flagship establishment near Broadway stands out. The upstairs level features a sprawling beer garden with multiple bars, picnic tables, and games, as well as four massive smokers where whole hogs are slow-cooked overnight. The aroma of smoldering hickory lingers in the air, adding to the experience.
Martin’s BBQ Joint in Nashville offers a great setup with both upstairs and downstairs seating, making it comfortable for everyone. You place your order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, unless you choose to sit at the bar upstairs where you can enjoy full service. The upstairs bar is well-stocked with 20–30 beers on tap, all served extra cold, which is a huge plus. The food was excellent across the board. The brisket was absolutely amazing, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was packed with flavor, and the hoedown cornbread was a standout side. The ribs were also very good, though worth noting they’re served dry rub style without sauce—something to keep in mind depending on your preference. Service was efficient and friendly. Even with a full upstairs bar area, two bartenders kept things moving smoothly, making it easy to grab a drink or order more food. Overall, Martin’s delivers a fantastic BBQ experience with great food, a wide drink selection, and a comfortable atmosphere.

Great place to grab a quality bite to eat out. Brisket burger by far was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, incredible. Pulled pork sandwich was also a hit. Ambiance was great and all the food was quick and very delicious!

We came to martins as a recommendation for the best barbecue in Nashville and all I can say is what a good recommendation. The restaurant itself is super unique and filled with personality. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of wonderful flavor and perfectly tender meat. The food is expensive for what you get but definitely not so expensive that it ruins the experience.
Joshua D — Google review
Hands down the best barbecue I have had. I am picky and usually smoke my own. Martin’s beats me. We ordered a sampler of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, fries, and mac and cheese. Every item was cooked right. Brisket had a clean pull and bark. Ribs were tender with deep smoke. Pork was juicy and well seasoned. The sides tasted scratch-made, especially the mac and cheese. They cook West Tennessee whole hog the old way, a fresh hog on the pit each day, smoked over local hickory for up to 22 to 24 hours. You taste that care in every bite. Tip for visitors. Come early, some items can sell out because everything is made from scratch daily. If you are in Nashville, this is a must.

Our experience with Martin’s was top notch…visiting from out of town, our first night find our way to the most friendly bar upstairs with Kayla and Brandon. Never have I felt so invited in as that night. They took care of us down to writing down all the places we needed to check out on our trip. We had to bookend our trip there and Kayla delivered another amazing evening with Naomi [sp] helping us get all the goods we needed to. The live music was killer both nights but Friday night, Waiting on October was freaking phenomenal. Thanks for having exceptional staff that treat you like friends, food that we couldn't stop chowin and music that spoke to us! We will be back for sure.

I wanted smoked brisket for a while. My wife doesn’t like BBQ, but she was forced to come here with me because I invited her Italian pasta. Jejejeje. I liked this place. Very good vibes, specially from the guys who take the orders. The food is good. I wanted to try more things, but the brisket, beans and BBQ sauce were good. The table and other items on it were greasy, apparently, from other customers. I would appreciate more care there. Everything else, good. Recommended. I’ll be back.

Historical landmark
Cheekwood is a sprawling estate from the 1930s that features an art museum, picturesque botanical gardens, a cafe, and a gift shop. The museum houses works previously in the collection of Stanford Fine Art, now acquired by various art museums worldwide. Nashville's growth has led to the opening of Stanford Contemporary, a new gallery dedicated to modern and contemporary art within Cheekwood. The museum showcases American art through portraits, impressionist paintings, and contemporary works.
This was a great place to visit especially on a Tuesday. It was not that busy so it was easy to navigate and enjoy the beautiful grounds and mansion. All of the staff, from the parking attendants, gift shop employees, those who were working on the grounds, the docents in the mansion museum, and everyone we encountered were very friendly, helpful, compassionate and lovely to interact with. The gardens that we were able to explore were absolutely beautiful. I'm in a wheelchair so not every path or garden is accessible, but a great deal of the grounds and property are including the mansion. We enjoyed exploring and touring. What an interesting place with a fascinating history. Just beautiful!
Steph G — Google review
December 2022 was my first & last visit to Cheekwood. I wanted to see the Holiday Lights-Garden and Mansion there; even though, it was no longer Christmas season & past Christmas. Despite the rainy weather and experiencing pain walking, it was wonderful to walk through the Christmas lights. It was $30 for an adult ticket. Was it worth it? Yes. Just make sure to still be prepared for crowds even after the holidays if you want to see the Christmas lights. We saw a wedding proposal on a bridge. There was walking traffic on the grounds until it started raining. We went to the mansion during some of the time of heavy rain pour. The mansion was showcasing a gallery of illustrations of The Adams Family, paintings, and vintage photos of famous Hollywood celebrities. It was festively decorated for Christmas and was a joy to wander through. It was very crowded in the area with The Adams Family illustrations gallery. I took a lot of videos of the holiday light displays in the rain and tried seeing every part of Cheekwood that night. When we went back to our car, we were given a golf cart ride back to our car to avoid the long walk back to our car by Troy.

Lovely historic mansion and beautiful grounds. The walk from the parking area to the mansion is a pathed street and path that winds through some beautiful garden beds. The mansion has been well maintained. Only a few rooms display period-type furnishings and history. Most of the rooms display a museum art collections. Some of my favorite exhibits were the jazz room, the porcelain, and the US history theme pieces. The gift shop was full of artistic and unique pieces, they were expensive but high quality. I loved looking at the hand made pins and unique bowties, neckties, scarves, and jewelry. We explored the grounds behind and to the side of the mansion and they were lovely. They had a Japanese garden, that was peaceful and lovely. They had other areas with theme sculptures. The grounds throughout were well maintained and beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer but they closed at 5.

Went here on a whim while visiting. We went on a weekday and they had their enchanted castle exhibit outside. The grounds were laid out beautifully with what appeared to be accessible for both wheelchairs and strollers. The Japanese garden was much smaller than expected and limited exhibits. Overall though it was a nice stroll through the gardens. Our daughter enjoyed the castle playground and the outdoor children's area.. We did have lunch at the cafe located inside the learning center. They had basic options like salads and sandwiches. For what we got it was probably not worth the price tag and I would recommend packing a lunch as there are ample picnic tables throughout. A decent day visit overall.

What a beautiful place! It was very easy to spend a few hours here - it takes quite a while to see all the gardens. There are a lot of shady spots for when it's hot outside, and benches everywhere. The day we went, there were also a couple food trucks. I would definitely walk here a lot if I lived near here!

We had such a wonderful time at Cheekwood’s El Día de los Muertos festival today! Even though it was a bit colder than last year, the vibrant art, delicious food, and lively music more than made up for it. Our family has been coming to Cheekwood since our kids were little, and this festival has always held a special place in our hearts. We love attending the many events throughout the year, but El Día de los Muertos remains one of our absolute favorites. It is a beautiful celebration of culture, community, and creativity and we look forward to it every year!

I had this garden on my list to visit for over a year. When I scheduled a summer trip to Nashville to visit family, this place was at the top of my list. Cheekwood Gardens was special and everything you want from a southern mansion estate. I was particularly surprised by the number of water features. Simply fantastic. This is most definitely a place to take children if you want them exposed to nature at its best. Try not to miss the train garden. My granddaughter was mesmerized by them. If you are traveling anywhere near Nashville, and you love formal gardens, this is a gem of a place to visit.

The Adventure Science Center, located near Fort Negley just south of Downtown, is a multilevel museum designed to educate visitors about technology, health, and ecology through hands-on exhibits and a planetarium. With over 175 interactive activities and a full-dome planetarium show, the center offers an ideal environment for children to explore their scientific interests.
Our new favorite spot in Nashville! It was our first time here, and we absolutely fell in love. We live in Huntsville, AL, and usually come to Nashville for the zoo-but this place might become our new go-to. Our three-year-old had a blast! Even though she’s still a bit young to grasp everything, she loved experimenting and interacting with all the exhibits. You could almost see the wheels turning in her little head! It’s a fantastic place to learn through play-with exhibits on physics, science, the human body, space, music, and more. The science demonstration, with fire as the theme, was a definite highlight. There’s also a craft room and even a designated area for younger ones like our 10-month-old crawler to safely explore. Overall, such a fun and enriching experience for the whole family!
Lina L — Google review
Took my four year old grandson here today! He was captivated, stayed engaged, and through a fit when it closed because he didn’t want to go. I liked the science show about fire. An employee even let my grandson use her vacuum on the floor. He loves vacuums. He had fun and so did the adults. Recommend this for introducing kids to science!
Lee R — Google review
This places has lots of interesting kids interactive activities like playing with sound and musical instruments, arts and crafts, Jurassic world, and planetarium. Second floor has the run around course. On the third floor there’s a lot of science related things like human body, an open theater and cafeteria. A lot of the play areas are Blippi themed that a lot of the kids love. They have a parking lot but it was almost full when we arrived. The tickets were $22 for adult and $18 kids 2-12. We bought the planetarium show that was additional $9 for each. The show was really cool, specifically for kids as the canvas spreads over the ceiling. All the staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The whole space was relatively clean and most the were functional. We spent about 2 hours here with our daughter. The music and sound interactive play area was her favorite.

Went here on a Friday to do something indoors and different. No kids with us. And it's a kid type place, but we really enjoyed it and learned a lot! Planetarium was very cool. We didn't have enough time to do it all, unfortunately. Check the times before you go and leave yourself plenty of time to check out everything.
John E — Google review
The Adventure Science Center was a great place to come and learn and play with some fun exhibits. While I feel like there is a lot of wasted space and more could be squeezed in here, there is a a good bit of entertaining areas that you'll enjoy roaming around and seeing. From generating power from hand cranks, to learning how much you'd weigh on different planets, to learning about the body and its functions, and even seeing some dinosaur bones, this place had a little of everything. On top of that, it was clean, not too crowded and everything was easy to find. We did purchase tickets to the planetarium and had a great 30 minute show. It was a very informative session and the projector/doom were amazing and very HD quality. Overall, a fun little place to brings kids to learn about science and spend some time. It also has a nice little jungle gym area in the center and you can even go to the roof and see the city from the windows in the top dome. Very cool!
Aaron F — Google review
This review is based solely on the Red, White & Boom event on July 4. We were from out of town, and the Science Center advertised that you could see the downtown fireworks from their lawn. I searched Google reviews prior to purchasing tickets and couldn't find much feedback. The view is horrible. You can barely see a side angle through the trees, and you are pretty far away. Some people left early, so we decided to as well. We had a better view after driving to their exit and an even better view sitting at a stoplight down the road. I felt lied to. I think there was one food truck. We ate inside at Subway. The museum itself is OK. Probably suited best for kids 10 and under. I do not recommend doing Red, White, and Boom. Watching fireworks on a TV would have been more exciting. I'd fight crowds to get a better view before I'd ever do this.

I remember going here for field trips in school. It was always fun so I was excited to take my 7yo grandson! He loved it. 3 levels of scientific fun! Only difference is, there were live animals back when I went!

Prince's Hot Chicken Shack South is a renowned establishment in Nashville, famous for its unique deep-fried poultry dish that comes in varying levels of spiciness, ranging from mild to ultra-hot. The restaurant has a rich history, with the Prince family overcoming challenges and segregation to keep their family recipe alive. It became a favorite spot for Grand Ole Opry stars and played a role in challenging racial norms by serving Black guests in the main dining room.
Food and service was amazing even though we got there about an hour before closing. If you arrive after 9:00 everything is to-go, which was fine. Food was hot and fresh. I ordered chicken tenders and mac and cheese. The cashier was very detailed about telling us the taste temperature of the sauces.

Came here on suggestion from a Lego store employee in Pittsburgh if all places - but food was pretty decent! The spice is a different kind of spice than what you’re used to. It’s got a signature flavor. I definitely suggest getting extra ranch though. For 4 tenders they only give you one packet.

First time at Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. The line was long but very worth the wait. We had the Leg and Quarter, 3 Wings, and The Andre Chicken Sandwich. We ordered mild and it was plenty hot but not overwhelming. Our sides were the Get it Girl Greens, Mac n cheese, and beans! I don’t live in Nashville but Prince’s will be my go to for Hot Chicken in Nashville, TN.

Holy moly now THATS what I wanted out of the famous Nashville hot chicken!! The collard greens are to die for! Beans were so delicious, potato salad was that classic yellow mustard flavor, mac wasn’t anything crazy but all of them you can tell are home made! Chicken was so juicy, I got the sandwich and gf got the tenders, both were sooo filling. They are not playing when they tell you Princes is hot, this isn’t your all talk no bite. If it says it’s hot, it’s HOT! So be warned! Absolutely will be back again, thanks for the great experience!

Hattie B's Hot Chicken is a must-visit spot in Nashville, known for its delicious fried chicken with varying levels of spiciness and an array of sandwiches and fries. This family-run business has become a sensation, drawing visitors from all over the country. With multiple locations, it has become a traditional part of experiencing Nashville.
This is a fast casual spot in downtown Nashville. The fried chicken sandwich is absolute worth it! The fried chicken sandwich here is absolutely amazing! I ordered mine mild (and it was still spicy for me—I’m a wimp), while my husband got medium and said it was perfectly named. The flavor and crunch were spot on, and honestly, there’s no need for cheese on the sandwich—it stands on its own. We tried a few sides and really enjoyed them all. The mac n’ cheese was creamy but the pasta fell apart (3.5/5) which is common for mass-made mac & cheese, the greens had great flavor (5/5), and the slaw was fresh and crisp (4/5). Definitely heavy food, but worth every bite. Service was fast on a weekday—which was a nice surprise given how popular this spot is. (There’s a long line on weekends, but it’s worth waiting in.) If you’re in Nashville, Hattie B’s is a must-try!
Elizabeth R — Google review
A Nashville staple and a must go to when in the south. We enjoyed the 🥵 hot half chicken with cheddar grits and pimento Mac n cheese. The chicken skin was crispy and very well seasoned and cooked to perfection with great moisture. The grits were smooth with a bold flavor. The Mac n cheese was creamy and the noodles were soft and delicious. Indoor was not big enough to accommodate the amount of people in the restaurant so we sat on the patio with 100° weather.
Tony H — Google review
We went around tasting various hot chicken in Nashville and have concluded that Hattie B’s is a good middle ground. Better than Prince’s but not as good as Brave Idiot or Red’s. The bun is more fresh and the chicken is less dry compared to Prince’s. Even though we got the medium, the spice was not spicing and it felt like we were eating a mild. There’s a good selection of sides. Expect a long wait time if you’re visiting during a popular weekend.
Amber T — Google review
Hattie B’s is a Nashville staple, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The hot chicken sandwich was absolutely incredible—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice level hit just right, with plenty of heat but still enough to enjoy every bite. The sides were the perfect complement (highly recommend the mac & cheese and fries), and the service was fast and friendly even though the place was busy. The atmosphere is fun and casual, exactly what you’d want for a spot like this. If you’re in Nashville, do yourself a favor and try the hot chicken sandwich at Hattie B’s—it’s worth the wait in line!
Kabir C — Google review
If you are in Nashville, a visit to Hattie B's is definitely a must. I love the Half Bird Combo. It gets you 2 pieces of chicken, one leg and a breast. And you have the choice of making them different spice levels. I got one Hot and the other Damn Hot. I guess the Damn Hot is manageable if you get a breast piece as the chicken inside is largely unspiced. Else, pls stick to Hot. If you plan to be in any Hattie B's during peak meal time, I would highly recommend that you keep at least 30mins or more for queueing up.
Rajiv P — Google review
The Hot Chicken Sandwich at Hattie B’s delivers crispy, juicy breast meat with spicy sauce and slaw on a soft bun, medium heat is a flavorful win. The Bacon Cheddar Grits are creamy, smoky, and rich, perfectly balancing the spice. Long lines, but worth it. Nashville comfort food
Ryan H — Google review
This place did not disappoint! It came highly regard before we even came to Nashville so we had to give it a try. Ordered the 3 jumbo chicken tenders which came with 2 sides. We got the baked beans, pimento man n cheese, fries and bacon cheddar grits. All the sides were good but I would say the baked beans were the best. The meal also came with a drink, a side sauce and a piece of Texas toast. The wait was about 20-25 mins, but we’re still able to get a table inside. Would for sure come back.
Andrew L — Google review
Hattie B’s is always a good idea - lunch, dinner or late night meal after a night on Broadway. I ate here a couple of times during my stay in Nashville and both times the meals were excellent. Chicken cooked perfectly, good coleslaw side as well. I always go the medium but one day I will work up the courage to try the flaming hot hot hot version. Anderson Road Day Use is a popular spot in Nashville, offering access to J Percy Priest Reservoir and a range of water activities. The beach is surrounded by grassy areas and woods, providing a serene setting with opportunities to spot wildlife. Visitors can swim, kayak, paddleboard, and boat on the lake. The designated swimming area is small but there's plenty of space for privacy along the shore. While pets are not allowed, this helps keep the area clean.
Nice sandy beach and swim area with a pleasant view. Lots of shade trees and picnic tables with restroom facilities close by. Parking is also close by and the sidewalks through that area make it easy to roll your cooler to your chosen area. Come early if you want less people/noise. It is a popular place in the summer. Boats do come by the area but the roped off swim area and dinghies keep them far enough away to not be a danger. No dogs allowed at this park which is a bit of a bummer but I’m sure the ducks appreciate it. I only took a few pictures of one quieter side area away from the playground. This park has a nice mix for everyone.

Had a great time here with the family. $5 admission was well spent. Lots of picnic tables to eat at. An area to rinse off before leaving. Bathrooms. Wasn’t too crowded as we chose a weekday to go and early. The kids loved it. I liked that no pets were allowed it was one less thing to worry about. There is also a no alcohol rule here as well which was not a problem for me but could be for others. Still a great place to hang out and even make a friend or two as lots of families are around enjoying the vibes.

this place is very scenic and relaxing fir a day iut or even a camping night out. In google maps it says its open, but we realized we cant drive till the day use area as it is closed for winter. thats something needs to be fixed.

This is a beautiful place for a “beach-like” family experience if you live in the area since beaches are more than a 7hr drive, but this time we went it was covered in poop, every three steps there was poop which is crazy because there no pets allowed in the day use area. The fact that people don’t follow that rule is one thing but the fact that people don’t pick up after their own pets poop is insane. A lot of children go to this place and you 100% cannot just sit on the grass. There was poop even in the sand area. Everything else looked great the playground area the employees were around doing rounds my husband said the bathroom looked clean and stocked it’s just sad that people are not taking care of this nice area. After covering all the poop around in our area with sand just to try to not step on it, our family had fun.

Had a great day at the Anderson beach, arrived early and we got a great spot by the water, we were on the beach to the left of the main area (roped off for swimming) and it was a lot quieter. Picnic areas were clean and well kept and bathrooms were close by. Only negative is that there were people riding jet skis next to where we were swimming and it posed a safety concern. Over all we will be back.

Seven Points Campground features a picturesque beach that provides a serene setting to connect with the natural surroundings. While the beach area is not extensive, there are ample grassy spaces nearby where visitors can relax and bask in the sunshine. Additionally, secluded spots branching off from the beach offer shaded areas for picnics and access to scenic hiking trails around the lake.
We love it here! Have come 3 years in a row! A great spot that feels out of the city without having to drive far! Bathrooms are well kept and love having the laundry onsite! Each campsite is great, but we love 45 with the view of the lake!

We stayed just one night on our long journey, and it was exactly what we needed—beautiful, peaceful, and refreshing. The campsite is nestled right on the lake, offering stunning views and a calming atmosphere that instantly helped us unwind. Everything was well-maintained, and the setting made for a perfect evening and restful night. Even though it was a quick stop, it left a lasting impression. Highly recommend for anyone passing through or looking for a quiet retreat by the water.
Tony G — Google review
The swimming area has lots of rocks and some are slick. But the water is pretty clean and feels great. Overall atmosphere is quite relaxing. Had deer walking up right to the campsite. The whole campground is kept very clean as well.
Chelsie P — Google review
The hosts were very friendly and most accommodating. The campground was clean, well maintained and the sites were spaciously laid out, with lots of shade. Nashville was a 30 minute ride (in moderate traffic). AT&T cell service was adequate.
Darwin R — Google review
Great campground! Beautiful sites.. many right on the water. The water is super clear. There are many trees and birds and deer. Very peaceful. Another reviewer said the gates were locked, etc… but we called ahead since we were going to be a late arrival. They informed us exactly what to do so, I’m not sure why that camper did not do that as well. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure!
El — Google review
Very nice campground. Well kept and quiet. The spots are HUGE! They could put twice as many spots in, and it still would be nicely spread out.
Michael H — Google review
We prepaid our reservation online. We got delayed on the road and arrived at 11 p.m. The campground is completely blocked and gated off. How can they do this? What if one of the campers needs to drive to the Emergency Room in the middle of the night? How can they block people in like that? What if there is an emergency? We drove all around here, and there is no other way into the camp ground. There is no after hours number to call for a camp host to let us in. We have to find a different place to camp and hopefully get a refund for this place. We have traveled all the way across the country from Alaska and stayed in hundreds of campgrounds - we have never experienced campers being locked in or locked out of a campground before.
Tyler S — Google review
Coming from Nashville Superspeedway & boondock camping for 5 days, we stopped at Seven Points Campground to use the RV Dump Station to empty and flush our tanks. The couple attending the gate were very nice and friendly. The cost was very good, only $5.00, which is the same cost of a day pass. The dump station was especially nice and clean. There is a heavy-duty hose on the water spigot with a threaded end on the user side to be able to hook up to the black tank flush port. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The couple said they had recently reworked the pull around for the dump station and covered up the passenger side dump, so anyone needing to use that side would need to pull in backward to the site. Our tanks dump from the driver side, so no issue for us, but no matter which way you need to pull into the site, it shouldn't be a problem. He did say they had a very long 5th wheel toy hauler earlier that morning and he had to come in from the exit side, there is a utility pole right next to the entrance to the dump station that could be tricky for longer RV's. Our 5th wheel and truck are about 52' all together, and I had no issues getting into the dump station. We came in through the gate from out on the road, and the dump station was too the left of the gate shack. Had we stayed at the campground, which looks very nice from what we saw, the dump station would be on your right as you were getting ready to leave out of the park. The only thing I could say would be the road getting back to the park is narrow through residential areas with some trees. Looks like the trees are kept maintained, at least when we went through, but something to be cautious of if you have a bigger rig.

Cedar Creek Campground is a serene seasonal campsite located on the picturesque Old Hickory Lake just outside Nashville. With 59 campsites nestled amidst wooded areas and grassy plains, this campground offers a tranquil retreat with nearly 440 miles of scenic shoreline to explore. Visitors can enjoy various recreational activities such as fishing, sailing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and bird watching. The campground also boasts public beaches for swimming and sunbathing, making it an ideal spot for water sports enthusiasts.
Cedar Creek Campground is a wonderful campground that is well maintained with nice camping lots and friendly staff. My husband and I enjoyed 6 days here in July 2025. We took it slow on the road leading to the campground and around the campground with a 42 ft 5th wheel with no issues. It's very quiet and peaceful with lots of birds, deer and squirrels (the squirrels were almost tame). We also enjoyed the clean beach area adjacent to the campground. Although there are no sewer hookups, there is a a convenient dump station. We will definitely visit again!

Just wrapped a short stay at Cedar Creek Campground in Mt. Juliet TN. The grounds are clean and nicely arranged. There are a few sites that back up to the Cumberland River. The grounds ajoin to a public access and recreational area with a playground, volleyball courts, swimming area that has a disabled access ramp, public restrooms. Camp host was friendly and even directed us to enter a gate that better suited our RV and tow vehicle. The sites are long enough in some cases, for larger RVs. Your on a one way in one way out body of land that makes the visit tranquil. We marked this one as a must repeat because of it's proximity to Nashville without being "IN" Nashville.

Beautiful campground, peaceful and relaxing. Small beach area, perfect for kids. Grills and picnic tables available. Really clean restroom facilities. We really enjoyed it. Important note, there is an entry fee, $5 if I remember correctly.

A nice, well-kept campgrounds with RV hookups. The shower rooms are clean and well kept. I felt safe walking around the park. I reserved a spot almost a week in advance. When I arrived, the park was full so you need to make a reservation early and enjoy a peaceful stay.
Susan K — Google review
Beautiful. Our second time staying here by the lake in our motorhome. No dump at the sites, but a nice communal dump on the main loop. Very well maintained park, large lake, small beach for the campers, all you need, far away from the city, and always a nice stop coming through TN.
Jeffrey C — Google review
Well maintained Army Corp of Engineers campground. Large sites along water have beautiful views and accommodate big rigs. Inter loops are a mix of paved, gravel, and need gravel sites. We got our 46' fifth-wheel into an inner loop site, but it would be very tight for a large bumper pull or motor home. Big rigs are better off on sites by water. All roads are one-way.

We will not be coming back to this campground. Camp host (man) did not handle issue the right way. People here just don't seems very friendly

Smith Springs Park is a picturesque destination that offers a perfect blend of beachfront relaxation and natural beauty. The beach, nestled within a lush forest, provides a serene setting for swimming and sunbathing. With numerous secluded picnic spots equipped with grills, visitors can enjoy lakeside gatherings amidst the tranquil surroundings. A leisurely walk around the lake reveals scenic views of people fishing or boating, although some littering issues have been noted.
This park is fantastic 🙌 There are a ton of little picnic spots with grills where you can gather with friends by the lake and/or amongst the serenity of the trees... I'd estimate, maybe 50? Each one is isolated off by itself, so plenty of space between each other. The trees here are wonderful and the lake is calm and gentle - I didn't go in the water on this occasion, but it was nice to look at while the sun set. About the only unknown here are the people you will encounter on your trip.
Michael R — Google review
Very nice lakeside view to relax and grill. Area has about 10 group areas each with its I wn grill. About 8 groups were out enjoying memorial day . Bathroom also available for use. Areas were very clean and well shaded. Perfect for weekend fun and food

Great Percy Priest Lake location. Clean and you're able to get close to and even in the water. There is a boat ramp, trails, several picnic areas with grills, and many areas to relax with your family or SO. Very peaceful and not overcrowded.

So many grills and tables spread out with beautiful views. First time coming ever was yesterday. My friend and I had grilled some food and the plan was to just eat and relax. There was this tall skinny Caucasian park patrol man, who starred at me while I ate my hotdog made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm 30 years old. Had a rough week, tried to come here to have some relaxation. This tall skinny Caucasian park patrol man just stood and watched me. He wouldn't take his eyes off me, so I told my friend we should go and she said yeah why is that man just standing there starting at us. He stood at the exit of the park and watched us go to my car. Fire that man! Men like that who don't make the park a better place just a uncomfortable place. I saw another Park patrol man and he looked at me and smiled. It's amazing spot but he made it extremely uncomfortable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He should be removed from the park completely. Ruined my whole day I had planned because he wants to use his job to stare people down. No smile. No hello. Just stare us down the whole time like a weirdo. Mind you, there was plenty other groups there. He was giving racist vibes. Maybe he should lose his job. Tall skinny Caucasian park patrol man, he worked on Sunday August 25, 2025. Just know he's racist and will stare you down, especially if you're not with a big group and just a female.

Went on a Monday. Such a beautiful amazing area. I really did hate to see how people treated the area though. It breaks my heart to see it trashed by people. The amazing parks crew was out cleaning up way more trash than they should need to and we're so friendly.

Great ACOE campground conveniently located on the outskirts of Nashville. We spent 2 nights while taking in the city's action. Very clean and well maintained. Ash, the campground host was very professional while also being personable. They do not close the entrance gate at night but do monitor in and out traffic. We experienced no problems.
Dymm W — Google review
Ash is the person in charge. He was kind, discerning, hard enough to keep the bad out. Yet, a soft heart to do good for others. The waterfront sites are wonderful. No raccoons...never expected that before! Wow! Lots of white tail dear. And, cheapest sites for 50 miles around Nashville per my independent research. I wish it was open aaalllll year! The day park was full of large families enjoying time together with fresh meat cooking on the grill, and children laughing. Very pleasant experience. Thank you Ash!!! May your kindness be returned to you.

Not a lot to do here, but it's great to come to and relax. Close enough to enjoy Nashville, far enough out to have space. Definitely a good, close option for me.
Eric P — Google review
This was a fantastic campground. Army corps did a beautiful job on this one. We had a huge waterfront site and we floated on tubes right from our site #7. Would stay again.
Sheri S — Google review
The campground is full of trees, lots of shade and has waterfront spots. However, people don't follow the road signs. Driving the wrong way on a one way. No quiet hour. There was a group of people singing up to midnight and being along the water side it was loud.

Ash the new gentleman hosting the campsite is a really great guy. He is running a tight ship and keeping it a family friendly experience. We will definitely be back soon 😊👍

This is a COE park which means it is close to nature and a cheap place to stay. The sites are generously spread apart with a ton of green space. About half the sites have a water view. The majority is well shaded. There is also a beach to go to. Electric and water only with a dump station. This is a great place to relax and take some quiet time. Go see the blue heron or the roads nearby that are full of deer to see. We plan to back.
Tom R — Google review
Well taken care of campground. Has large swimming beach and playground area. Some sites are right on the water in fairly shaded grounds. Others are in what I call the wagon wheel configuration. Reasonably clean restrooms and shower houses.
Laura M — Google review
Very nice place to chill out in the summer or winter! Very well kept! Has playground, volleyball, beach area, bathroom house and pavilion.
Calvin D — Google review
Nice little beach and play park for the kids. Plenty of grill sites and a couple pavillions (didn't use them this time around but have used them before and they are simple but do the trick 👍). There is a whole (seperate from the actual beach) beach volleyball area with a nice net, a bathroom building and decent parking. Was $5 for the day per vehicle (very reasonable) and the lake water was good (it's Old Hickory Lake so there's always a some murkiness and has some water plants and stuff floating around but that's just normal). There was a bit of trash but that's to be expected to on a public lake beach. We had a lot of fun though and enjoyed our time!

Nestled within Long Hunter State Park, Bryant Grove Recreation Area is a delightful destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. This scenic spot offers a designated swimming area—unique in the park—along with a boat ramp for those looking to explore Percy Priest Lake. While the beach features rocky terrain rather than soft sand, it provides ample opportunities for picnicking under the sun at one of its many tables or benches.
Very pretty, very clean! Our event went off without a hitch, despite some rain being forecast for the date... Though there was no precipitation, it was good to have the pavilion available not only to shield us from the rain but also to give our group shelter from the sun. We've had two events here, and both times, the location was just perfect for what everyone wanted! I would definitely recommend it for a visit or an event. It's really a lovely location.

Wonderful place to access the lake. There's bathrooms, water fountain, a small beach, and lots of picnic tables. Very popular on summer weekends with not quite enough parking. Nice 4mi trail connects to couchville lake area. Site has an interesting history noted on marker. Hidden trail near pavillion leads to nice bluffs with fewer people.
Kevin — Google review
Great area for families to have picnic. It has tables and benches and there are lots of spaces on the ground to set your stuff or just lie down and enjoy the sun. The swimming area is a little small though, and could get really crowded on the summer. The swimming area over at Cooks Public Use area better than this one. There's also a small playground for kids, and the restroom is a bit far from the swimming area. Parking can also be a challenge during the summer.

Bryant Grove is part of Long Hunter State Park. However, it's entrance is several miles removed from the main park. Activities are limited to swimming, hiking, boating, picnicking. Except for the flora, the trail is uneventful. It is easy, but long.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville, Little Chill Beach offers a unique escape from the urban hustle and bustle. While it may not be the closest beach to Nashville, it's an ideal venue for private beach parties, complete with sandy shores and a laid-back vibe. Guests are encouraged to bring their own sound systems for music and can opt for additional security if needed. What sets Little Chill Beach apart is its imaginative design amidst a city filled with construction cranes and busy streets.
What an amazing time we had celebrating July 4th 2021 on Little Chill Beach! Such a unique experience with our toes in the sand watching the beautiful sunset and fireworks!! The food from the trick was off the hook and the time we spent with an eclectic group of really cool people was nothing short of magical. So much fun!!

The Little Chill Beach was an incredible getaway experience right in the heart of downtown Nashville! Our company had a Team Event at the Little Chill Beach & also Enjoyed Wildfie's Food Truck, while dipping our toes in the sand & listening to great beach tunes. We look forward to returning to the Little Chill Beach soon & it's highly recommended for corporate events!

I loved throwing my niece’s 3rd birthday party in the middle of a busy intersection and having the same feel as a beach party
Charlie B — Google review
There are three main streets surrounding the Little Chill Beach. When I first arrived I drove on all three rubber-necking in disbelief, before finally being dropped off at one the of laid back entrances. As I crossed though the blue wooden fences I stepped into a different world. A welcoming beach bar is the centerpiece of an experience that resembles a boardwalk SoCal offshoot. Tables and umbrellas grace the perimeter all with an unobstructed view of the sunset over downtown. I was there for a writers round beach concert to celebrate the launch of SongCash. Gifted musicians performed out of truck bed on the sand with onlookers with drinks and toes in the sand. The only thing missing was the whiff of salt in a sea breeze, but gosh everything in-between was there. Highly recommend anyone looking for an ocean vibe in the landlocked urban crawl to visit or book the Little Chill Beach. I cannot see a reality where you would regret it.

Apr 2024 - I can’t believe I happened to walk by this funny party spot after we drove by it yesterday on our way into the city.
Lance R — Google review
Really cool idea, even better execution. In a downtown filled with cranes, it is nice to have a piece of property that doesn't have a cyclone fence and heavy machinery all around. It takes some special vision and imagination to create a place unlike any other in downtown Nashville. The city has long been known for unique experiences: peddle taverns, tractor tours, a life-size Parthenon, pop-up restaurants, and live music as far as the eye can see. Why not add a little chill beach to that mix?
Nick J — Google review
You HAVE to visit this place! Mark + Jenny are so sweet, and Terica who owns the food truck, is amazing! I had my birthday party here and everybody went above and beyond to make sure it was a great day. It's such a fun idea in the city and I'm excited to visit many more times to come!
