Biscuit Love Gulch is a bustling eatery that originated as a food truck in 2012, serving up Southern breakfast and lunch dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of biscuit-based delights, including the East Nasty with buttermilk-fried chicken and sausage gravy, as well as the sweet Gertie with caramelized banana jam and house-ground peanut butter.
These were definitely the best biscuits I've ever had by far. The brown sugar iced latte was also very good. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. The line was long but it moved really fast. I usually never wait in lines but this was worth it. If you don't want to wait in line you can order online and eat at the park around the corner. It's got seating right by a beautiful waterfall fountain.

A friend of mine told us Biscuit Love is a must-stop when we come to Nashville for our first time, and she was right! First impressions when we walked in was it is simple and beautiful with a very homey feel to it. The decor and colors of Biscuit Love are muted and so pretty. Our hostess/cashier who greeted us and took our order was so sweet and friendly. She made us feel very welcome. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious and so filling. Their biscuits are on point and probably the thickest biscuits I've ever had! The eggs were great, and the sausage had a great flavor. I recommend getting a side of sausage gravy to anyone who likes sausage gravy. It was VERY tasty. If you like coffee, this is one of the best cups of coffee my husband and I have had while in Nashville. Naturally, I had to buy a cute sticker, tee shirt, and some of their Blackberry Lemon preserves on our way out the door. I definitely recommend this as a breakfast joint!
Kayla N — Google review
We went at peak brunch time signs for the time to wait were pretty perfectly spaced. I didn’t love that you ordered before sitting down, but I do think it made the process quicker. The food was accurately described and everything we had was delicious! Fairly reasonably priced, also. One of us asked for hot sauce and we were given one that was nearly empty… asked for another, and it was also nearly empty! There’s a display of them on the wall! Grab one of those! Otherwise it was great!

Really disappointed with our visit to Biscuit Love. The food was fine, but the service completely ruined the experience. The staff was rude and unaccommodating, especially considering we had a baby with us. We were a party of five, and instead of helping us sit together, they made one person sit at another table — which made no sense given the space available. The biscuits are absolute perfection — buttery, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. The “East Nasty” is an instant favorite, and the bonuts (biscuit donuts!) are pure genius. We came in excited to try a Nashville favorite, but the lack of courtesy and flexibility from the staff made it hard to enjoy the meal. Definitely not the welcoming Southern hospitality we were expecting.
Gau'tam S — Google review
Before we came to Nashville, a few people recommended Biscuit Love for breakfast, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! You order at the counter, and they bring your food right to your table, which was super convenient. The vibe is so cute and cozy, we were lucky to miss the morning rush, so no wait. The biscuits and coffee were unreal. Fluffy, buttery, and just perfect. The menu had so many tempting options it was hard to choose, but we went with the Hungry Hash Bowl: golden potatoes, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, melty cheese, and fresh green onions, all smothered in their signature gravy. This spot really nails everything, food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Nashville.

Overall experience was very good and highly recommend to try this place out. They have many menu options and the food was very good. Parking was an issue however there is a public parking garage right across the street and the 1st hour is free then it goes up to $12 for 2 hours. The seating wasn’t a favorite as the tables are practically right next to each other so if it’s busy you will be having breakfast with strangers and be shoulder to shoulder as you eat. They do offer free refills on drinks such as iced tea but we had to go to the bar every time to ask for a refill as there aren’t any servers checking in. Overall great experience and spent around $60 for 2 people.
Jon R — Google review
Food was 10/10 but the atmosphere and service were so bad I have to rate it 1 star. The service ordering up front was great but no servers (other than dropping off food) and the water they give you is practically a shot and you have to get up and refill it yourself a million times. On top of that, it's crowded with elbow-to-elbow room with no privacy for conversation. If you are looking for a nice place to be comfortable and eat this is not the place to go.
Jonathan W — Google review
I had the East Nasty and my husband had the chicken and waffles. The biscuits and waffles were delicious, but the chicken was inconsistent. Mine was a little tough, but his was very tender. The sausage gravy was pretty bland. Serving sizes were large.

The Loveless Cafe is a charming Southern eatery with a rustic ambiance and an array of unique shops on-site. Renowned for its delectable Southern fare, this iconic establishment has been delighting diners for over 70 years. Originally a modest motel and cafe, it has evolved into a beloved dining destination serving up mouthwatering dishes such as fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, pit-cooked pork, southern-fried catfish, and more.
Takes me back to the 60s…cool atmosphere. Neat story on how it started too. Would definitely come back. Best part—the plentiful biscuits with homemade jam. WOW. Highly recommend the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, and cole slaw. And again, the biscuits are some of the best I have ever eaten. It’s like eating dessert before the main entree.

I had to try this place as it comes highly recommend. I came on Friday around noon and the wait was an hour and 15 minutes. I thought it was a bit crazy for a week day. They do take reservations. I just didn't think to make one. As I was about to walk out, a few ladies recommended I order to go and eat at one of the picnic tables outside. So that's what I did! The food was good, but not to die for. Their biscuits are not the best I've tasted in Nashville. I did appreciate the history behind this place. They have a gift shop and a little country market on premises. I definitely recommend visiting, just ensure you make a reservation!
Nadia P — Google review
One of the best "meat and three" type restaurants I have found yet!! The dry rub ribs are amazing!! The turnip greens, I could eat a massive bowl of. Also really enjoyed the basket of biscuits that comes with the meal, oh and the homemade jams are crazy good. Loved our server, she was great and very helpful. No excuses needed to go back here will return no question.

We came based on a friend’s recommendation when visiting. A really cool restaurant with a long history. The food came quickly and was a real highlight. They ran a brisket with eggs special and it was absolutely delicious. The hashbrown casserole was great as well. Biscuits were hot, buttery, flakey and the peach preserves were a standout.

A friend and I went here for brunch to round out our Nashville girls weekend. There was a bit of a wait but we expected there to be so. We first tried to make a reservation on the website but any time we were looking for wasn't available so we decided to just put our names on the wait list when we got there, which was super easy to do. While waited we walked around to the 2 gift shops that were open grabbed some coffee, and looked around the grounds. All together a really cool place to look atound while you wait for your table. The food was your traditional diner/café food which is exactly what we wanted and was delicious. The complimentary biscuits and jam are a must try. They are so soft, buttery and delicious. Service was top notch 10/10 I've unfortunately forgotten our servers name but they all seemed great from what I observed at other tables. They were very attentive and brought everything we needed without being overbearing.

I absolutely loved everything about my time at Loveless Cafe. I’ve been several times over the years, but this last Wednesday was probably one of my favorite experiences. A server named Chaz saw I was eating alone and took it upon himself to make my time as fun as possible. He checked on me every few minutes and joked around with me. He made what could’ve been a lonely experience, an enjoyable one. The food was amazing! I had the Hawkeye omelette (I think that was the name of it). It was delicious. The biscuits and jam were divine! I will definitely make Loveless a tradition to visit each year.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Maria was such a sweetheart. We never felt rushed. She made some great recommendations. Cute little spot with amazing biscuits! Def recommend a reservation

The loveless is always a tried and true but I was disappointed in the meatloaf. Great service, bathroom was clean but had a smell, would love to see something put in there to combat that. Love that there are stores to browse while waiting on your reservation.

Hattie B's Hot Chicken in Nashville's Midtown area is a popular spot for locals and tourists seeking mild to very spicy fried chicken, Southern sides, and local brews. Located in the heart of Music Row, this casual eatery caters to all tastes, offering a huge chicken tender for those who prefer a milder option. The menu includes kid-friendly sides like fries, mac and cheese, and baked beans, as well as treats like root beer floats and banana pudding.
Great little chicken shack! Staff was very pleasant and the food was good. FYI medium will give you a little sweat but it’s not overwhelming! My chicken was a little small but my +1 was a good size. The strips were a decent size too. We got the lemonade and coke slushy with alcohol and they were good but not strong enough. The line was out the door and around the building but worth the wait. Seating was limited inside but there was more on the deck. It was pricy, spent over $70 for four people. Definitely would go back!
Jason C — Google review
If you are in Nashville, a visit to Hattie B's is definitely a must. I love the Half Bird Combo. It gets you 2 pieces of chicken, one leg and a breast. And you have the choice of making them differentky spiced. I preferred the Hot and Damn Hot. Remember that Damn Hot is manageable since the chicken itself is not spiced within. But trying this with nuggets is a very different ballgame. The place also has decent amount of parking and a variety of indoor and outdoor seats.
Rajiv P — Google review
Must try restaurant if visiting Nashville! I wasn’t sure if hot chicken was for me but it was the perfect lunch meal - we got the fried sandwich and the quarter chicken (medium) which were both so so good. Sides were with fries, Mac and cheese and the southern greens. Fries were crinkle cut crispy and the southern greens were nicely balanced and not overpowering. The mac and cheese was okay but I’ve had better. The hot sauce butter is sooooo good on the chicken, the skin stays crispy and seasoned v well - the chicken was tender juicy and very fresh tasting. The Midtown branch staff were brilliant in their service, they seemed to be really enjoying themselves and the vibe was immaculate, great r&b music playing. I went back to grab a peach cobbler I had mentioned to them earlier and they let me go to the front of the line. Would go perfectly with some ice cream. Needless to say tips a plenty!
Bryan H — Google review
My chicken, fries, Mac and cheese and mimosa was great. I had dined in and left my favorite hat at one of the tables. When I called back after I realized I lost it, they had let me know I could come back and pick it up. They even wrapped it in a bag so it didn't get dirty! Great food and even better people. If I return to Nashville I will definitely be back!
Chris W — Google review
You can’t visit Nashville without eating at Hattie B. This location isn’t the university so the line is pretty long with only two register taking orders. This is my first time trying Hattie B but I went for Nashville hot, it’s good flavor and still juicy. Personally I don’t think it’s that spicy. It’s not the best flavor in town but definitely the easiest for location. There are a lot of outdoor tables to sit, as long as order is placed it moves fast.
Alex Z — Google review
Unpretentious and its approach to food service, Hattie bees excels at exactly what they’re famous for. We ordered a sampling of half chickens and chicken tenders along with six side dishes. We were not disappointed. First, and foremost, is the hot chicken. There are many fried chicken restaurants in the world but very few that actually have a method that perfectly cooks the chicken so that you have a crispy coating on the outside and steamed succulent tender chicken meat on the inside. Hattie B’s nails that part! The hot chicken spice mix on the skin is different, and exceptional. As you first encounter the skin, there is a slight sweetness, which is quickly followed by a mild and pervasive heat. The heat is never overwhelming, but always present. The combination of the two is very good. A quick rundown of the sides. The pimento mac & cheese is very good. The southern greens are also very good. The coleslaw is great, as is the potato salad. The grits are OK. The french fries are absolutely perfectly cooked Crisp on the outside and soft the on the inside. There is typically a line to get in. We waited about 30 minutes before placing our order. Our food came out about 10 minutes after that. Overall, I would say that if you’re in the Nashville area and you miss this restaurant, you’ve missed a complete Nashville experience.
Robert G — Google review
Fantastic customer service, good music, great vibe, DELICIOUS food! We got there right when the restaurant opened and we’re glad we did, because a line formed down the block shortly after! Plump, juicy, delicious chicken sandwiches and everything was fantastic! The Mac n cheese was also super yummy! 10/10 recommend (the medium is the perfect temperature for me!)

Southern restaurant (US)

Restaurant
Husk is a modern Southern restaurant located in a historic mansion, known for its inventive regional cuisine cooked on an ember-fired grill. The emphasis is on using heirloom products and local-seasonal ingredients to create southern classics with a contemporary twist. Chef Sean Brock has transformed perceptions of Southern cooking by reviving heirloom vegetables and grains lost to the agriculture industry, reflecting the region's deep immigration roots.
We loved our meal and overall experience! The restaurant and ambiance is truly delightful along with the food! Our server Kristen K. was phenomenal and helped us pick out some delicious menu items we may have not otherwise chosen as well as helped guide us with some delicious wine pairings! Definitely coming back to try more and to try brunch!
Will K — Google review
Husk has a great concept and I love the idea behind it. The atmosphere is definitely a place that feels special when you walk in. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which we really appreciated. However, the experience overall didn’t quite live up to the hype. Be prepared to spend some time here; our dinner for two took just under two hours after an 8:30 PM reservation, which felt like a long stretch given the pace of service and quality of the food. The food just didn’t seem to flow out to the table well. We spent a lot of time just waiting. We tried a variety of dishes including the oysters, trout, shrimp & grits, pig ears, cornbread, and biscuits. Unfortunately, most of the food was just okay. The standout was the pig ear lettuce wraps unexpectedly delicious and packed with flavor. Everything else lacked that memorable quality you hope for at a restaurant with such a strong reputation. While I likely wouldn’t return, I’m still glad I gave it a try. If you’re curious about the concept and want to enjoy a nice atmosphere with knowledgeable service, it might still be worth a visit just go in with measured expectations.

A Modern approach to southern food!!! Make your reservations NOW!!!! Must try in Nashville! The food was excellent, great drink menu and excellent service!! The fried carolina rice with pork belly was so delicious that we had to order a second order!!! Everything we had was delicious! The menu had so many options Nd I can’t imagine anything on the menu that would not meet your tastebud’s needs! Southern food with an upscale twist!

What a beautiful boutique home!! The staff were welcoming, kind, and thoughtful! Service was excellent, paced us beautifully while we enjoyed our dinner experience. I think every single team member had a smile on their face. That speaks volumes. I recommend you share everything with your table or you’d be missing out!! Thank you to the LOVELY Dani❣️Extraordinary food for the adventurous and the kitchen put their foot in it!

Vision was a fantastic waiter. Attentive and helpful but not overbearing. We sat outside on the patio. We should have sat inside because it was breathtaking inside. It didn’t feel like a house at all. We had the autumn lettuces, rice, strip steak, chicken and corn bread. This is a modern twist on southern food.
Lindsay Y — Google review
Overall, super solid. Food was delicious- I kept saying that things tasted exactly how I would expect a very good version of this dish to taste. My only minor critique is that they definitely love salt! But overall, it was not enough of an issue to bring them down to four stars. The atmosphere is incredible, service was great, food was delicious. Five stars.
Anthony S — Google review
Major Let down. For the price and difficulty getting a good time slot for our reservation I certainly expected more. I will say that the biscuits were incredibly well made and were delicious and the best thing we had all night However, the rest of the meal left a lot to be desired. It definitely is not the type of culinary experience that commands the prices they charge. In my opinion save your money.
C B — Google review
Had brunch at this wonderful restaurant with a party of four. Beautiful establishment with their own fresh produce garden, great service (from Ryan)...we started with the Mimosa Flight and the Hue Go Girl, then ate flavor bursting appetizers (their pork belly appetizer was incredible), and meals were mushroom grits, steak and eggs, and the chicken katsu sandwich... all excellently prepared and delicious! Can't wait to return for dinner!

New American restaurant

Restaurant
Pinewood Social is a versatile and trendy hangout located by the Cumberland River. It offers a unique blend of New American cuisine, cocktails, and bowling in an industrial-chic setting. The establishment has been a staple in Nashville since 2013, providing an all-day experience with amenities such as a coffee shop, bar, lounge, and restaurant.
This place was on my go to list ever since I watched the Nashville episode of Anthony Bourdain. With oodles of space and a variety of table settings, this place can accommodate all group sizes. And you can sit and eat while you enjoy a bowling session too! The centrally situated bar is alike a 360 view from anywhere in the restaurant! The food was amazing and I was very happy to see that there were enough choices on the brunch menu for a vegetarian like me. The drinks and cocktails are wonderful the selection of spirits had something for everyone to enjoy. Just took some time explaining to our server about our dietary restrictions but other than that it was a wonderful experience, somewhere I would plan another visit soon. They validate the onsite parking but the parking garage is paid parking. Please come with a good 2-3 hours of time to spare to enjoy the food and a session of bowling!
Venky S — Google review
Very cool space - large restaurant that feels very modern and clean. Large bowling alley in the back. Good vibes. The hush puppies are delicious and the breaded cauliflower was very good (but spicy!) Only complaint was that the salmon Benedict definitely gave me food poisoning. Or possibly the cocktail with egg whites on top - if that didn’t happen Pinewood would’ve gotten 5 stars

So impressed with this restaurant! We came for a bachelorette trip and they went above and beyond, by surprising our bride with a card and dessert. The staff was so kind, helpful, and respectful, and the food and drinks were incredible. Plus, the place itself was adorable! 10/10 would recommend

Excellent! I ordered the Frid Chicken plate and it was a good choice. The chicken was not dry, and had great flavor. It was crispy and seasoned well and the hot honey was a perfect balance. The side were also delicious. The mac had the right amount of cheese and the collard greens were cooked perfectly with a hint of BBQ smoke. The coleslaw was also a great palate cleanser between the other flavors. It was a great space and great place to have fun with friends.
Joshua M — Google review
Dinner here based on my son's suggestion, but he didn't check to know that you need a reservation. Luckily they had seats at the bar and you could order the full menu there. Beware of the spice... the deviled eggs were hot! Uber didn't drop us off at the right place, so watch out for that too. Otherwise, good food and service. Unique place inside. Bowling? Sure.
John E — Google review
I wanted to love this place, but sadly we were left disappointed. First off, we had a reservation and had to wait about half an hour after our time to be seated. Our entire group ordered within ten minutes, but our food took over one hour to come out. Our waitress was really nice, but after waiting that long, it would have been nice to have had some kind of discount. They did offer two sticky buns for our table. Our food (after an hour of waiting) was also room temperature. I got the breakfast burrito with potatoes. We expected more out of such a fun establishment.
Caroline C — Google review
My AirBnB host recommended Pinewood for my 25th birthday dinner, and I’m so glad we went! The food and drinks were outstanding, and the service was great. All of the staff were very friendly and eager to answer any questions about the menu. The manager even made a point to come over and introduce herself and even comped my first drink for my birthday- definitely a gesture that wasn’t needed, but was SO appreciated! The ambience was so neat, as there’s still a fully functioning bowling alley in the back too. I would most definitely recommend Pinewood to anyone looking for a great meal in Nashville!

What a fabulous place! The food was amazing, very tasty and the service was so friendly and helpful. Hannah was just super friendly and ever so helpful with decisions on the menu. We tried the fried cauliflower which had so much flavor and just the right amount of crisp without too much oiliness. The atmosphere is trendy with the vibe of an older place brought back to life! Just a great vibe!

Frothy Monkey is a popular local coffeehouse chain with locations across the South, known for its hip and laid-back ambiance. The cafe offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks, including seasonal lattes like the Havana, as well as a diverse food menu. Guests can enjoy breakfast and brunch items all day, such as the BE Hive Hash and loaded biscuits with chorizo gravy.
I grabbed a to-go order from Frothy Monkey and it was a great experience. The food was fresh and really tasty, and the coffee was smooth and strong, just how I like it. Even though I didn’t dine in, everything was well-packaged and still felt made with care. I’d definitely stop by again for a quick bite and great coffee.

Came to have some brunch here after looking at the reviews. We were in downtown so it was easy since this was right where we were walking around . The service was great we got a table right away for a Sunday afternoon . We ordered a bagel sandwich and the salmon sandwich . We tried three different coffees . The flannel , the Havana and a caramel latte . The coffee was okay. I couldn’t really taste the caramel and the other two were heavy on the cinnamon . The bagel was not good :( very stale and not flavorful . The Sandwich itself was okay / maybe missing some sauce . The salmon sandwich on the other hand stole the show . It was very good - nice bread , the dill sauce was delicious and it was a thick piece of fish ! :)

Cute place for brunch. Easy to find, just a little walk from Broadway. There was a little wait when we went for brunch but here’s shops near by to peruse while you wait. The Havana latte was delicious! And all the food was fantastic. Service was great too. I would definitely recommend checking it out while in Nashville

We didn’t eat, just came in for coffee — and the Havana Latte was absolutely delicious 😋! Smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. Service was friendly and the vibe was great. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good cup!

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I was very disappointed by this experience as the place had such good reviews. Waited 35 minutes for our food which was a bagel and a sandwich. Servers were condensing, except for one tall male with dark hair (did not catch his name). We were sat in a back corner, felt forgotten about. Wouldn’t recommend to any visitors from other countries like ourselves, we felt the reviews were misleading to what we experienced.

Delicious food and super cool atmosphere. Shrimp and grits were outstanding. Big shrimp, hearty andouille and a savory roux. Stuff was magical. Wife got the salami and Swiss which blew her mind. Will return!!! Service was perfect. Think some of the “slow” comments were largely tied to iced/specialty coffee orders that are prepared to order.

Restaurant
Puckett's Restaurant in downtown Nashville is a beloved Southern bar and grill that also functions as a grocery store, adding to its unique charm. Dating back to the 1950s, this establishment has grown from a small-town grocery store to multiple locations across Tennessee. It has become a hotspot for live music and delectable Southern cuisine.
Having driven 1700 km from the north-eastern side of the continent, I finally hit the right spot in Nashville for the long sought chicken steak (deep fried sirloin). The folks at Puckett's delivered the goods the way I dreamt about for years: A medium cook sirloin covered with the exact amount of a tasteful batter, deep fried to an eye poppin' golden color. Served with home-made mash, greens, coleslaw and corn bread. That, along with a fresh brew (or 2 !), did inspire me for a magnificent deep fried chocolate brownie, toped-off with whip cream and a strip of bacon. I mean, not exactly what my cardiologist had advised me, but we only live once, right... Right ?! Anyways, I had my meds with me !

Experience could've been better if our server Victoria wasn't horrendous. The food was excellent but service was very poor. Ordered two appetizers that came out with our food because our server brought out the wrong appetizers first from another order. Upon checkout never was asked for to-go containers so I had to ask for them myself. Would definitely go back for the food and would have to have a different server. Definitely disappointed.

Just walked in without checking it out first because it looked crowded. We were not disappointed! Fantastic service at the bar. We asked to sit there to watch the football game and the bartender gladly accommodated us. Check out the menu on line as they have a big menu (they serve breakfast until 11a). Huge portions. Very reasonable prices. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was delicious. Not too spicy. Not too sweet. Nicely breaded, crispy but still tender. Coleslaw was good. Large portion of thin fries. The Piggy Mac was amazing. Lots of pulled pork covered with the creamiest macaroni and cheese, topped with two tasty little pancake type biscuits.

Got here right after breakfast was ending (which looked good btw) and got some lunch. The pimento cheese balls were delicious and unique. I got the daily meat and 3 sides special. I opened for the pulled pork but chicken was an option. If I understand it correctly it changes daily. Sides were green beans and fries. They are more liberal with salt in the south but I personally like it. Didnt find it overwhelming. All in all i enjoyed my meal, atmosphere, prices, and service.

First Dinner in Nashville and we chose Puckett's. We wanted the experience of local foods from a known spot. I chose whole Farm for meal for the both of us. I would call this the "Kit & Kaboodle" This came with smoked turkey breast, smoked sausage, half chicken, beed brisket, cherry wood smoked pulled pork, served with smoked bake beans and collard greens. We added a side of red beans, rice and sausage. She chose a smoked whiskey bloody Mary with a fried chicken drumstick! She really enjoyed that drink. I want to say the smoke sausage was great, and the smoked Turkey breast was really good. All food was really good..I think the half chicken needed to be cooked longer. We arrived late and were only ones ordering food in restaurant. For the place being empty, it did take awhile before a server showed up. We were close to leaving. However once the server arrived, then the service was good.
George J — Google review
Everything about this place is great! Portion sizes are huge. This plate four pieces of chicken and two sides was $19. The best green beans I’ve ever had. And their reputation for having the best fried chicken as well deserved. Our waitress was fantastic. This will be on my must go places every time. I’m in Nashville.
Christina C — Google review
I was actually pleasantly surprised by Puckett’s for a recent weekend dinner, assuming it would be a total tourist trap based on its location. But the old country store ambiance is a welcome change from the pervasive bar feeling downtown. However, the atmosphere is still very crowded and loud, especially when live music started. Food portions are on the smaller side and prices on the higher side, but nothing crazy for downtown. Chicken fried chicken with sides was tasty. Deep fried brownie sundae looked quite impressive but did not taste great—it is more of a battered chocolate cake. All in all, a good option for homestyle cooking downtown and with live music at least on weekends.

We’re having a blast in Nashville for the first time, and one of my friends recommended this amazing spot! The people, music, and food are all incredible. You absolutely have to try the Nashville hot and spicy chicken—it’s a must! The ribs were out of this world, too. The atmosphere is filled with great country tunes that made my first Nashville experience unforgettable. We also loved the spice shop, where I picked up some fantastic spices and even some fun T-shirts and hats. It’s such a charming place! What a fantastic night!

Urban Grub is a stylishly rustic eatery located on 12th Ave, offering an extensive raw bar and serving Southern and seafood specialties. While it's not solely a seafood restaurant, the fresh and flavorful water-based selection is handled by a local butcher who prioritizes quality over quantity. The menu features classic selections like Shrimp & Grits and Seared Scallops, as well as the option to create your own charcuterie board for a chic dining experience without the cleanup.
Food and service were excellent! We went there on a Friday night expecting a wait, but somehow was seated immediately. It was busy and somewhat crowded but not loud and servers were attentive and knowledgeable. We were traveling to Nashville and chose Urban Grub based on location and Google reviews. Very happy with our choice. As with many other reviewers we tried the pork chop and loved it. Had a light smoked flavor w/ some char which I like. Also had the delicious shrimp and grits. Two cocktails, appetizer, two entrees, two sides, and dessert was under $200 w/ tip. We’d go back to try son other dishes next time in Nashville for sure.

Review for July 26th visit. We came in later in the evening. We didn't have a reservation, yet they had seating for us outside. Being seated in the outdoor seating under the fan was a blessing, kept us cool. The oysters and trout were delicious, the scallops and mushrooms as well, and the popovers were so buttery and scrumptious. Both of our cocktails were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and cheerful, made the experience even better. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

My husband took me here for my birthday on a cold rainy October evening. The building itself is very aesthetically pleasing. We were seated semi outside with a couple heaters above us which was wonderful for me (I’m always cold). We didn’t have appetizers but the server brought us some bread and butter with jam. We don’t eat bread as we are on carnivore but I took a small taste. It was light fluffy and flaky but not silt of flavor. Not complaining just giving my opinion. Then he got the full New York strip and I got the special of pan seared halibut with pumpkin pasta and goat cheese. His steak was cooked to perfection the way he likes it (medium rare) , and my halibut was delicious. It didn’t have much flavor alone but eating it with the goat cheese and baby spinach it was great. (Didn’t eat the pasta). All in all it was worth the price and maybe I would’ve raved about it more if I ate a variety of foods. I can’t say I will go back but I also can’t say I won’t go back. Service was ok. She didnt bother us but also wasn’t the most attentive, as we sat with empty glasses for a while.

My husband and I came to Nashville to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and decided to come here for dinner, and I’m so glad we did! It was BY FAR the best food we had during our trip in Nashville and one of the best meals we’ve ever had, period. Every part of the meal was 5 star and I would come back to eat here again if I am ever in the Nashville area. Our server brought us champagne because it was our anniversary, which was just a lovely way to start off the meal. He gave us a wonderful recommendation on the oysters to get as an appetizer; they were the perfect start to a delicious meal. Then I got the shrimp and grits and my husband got the pork chop, along with fries and asparagus for his sides. I did not know a pork chop could be so good. I added the andouille sausage to my shrimp and grits and I’m so glad I did, it was delicious and smoky and added just the perfect balance to the delicious creamy, cheesy grits (the best grits I’ve ever had). I didn’t want to stop eating those grits they were so good, but I had to because I just couldn’t fit another bite into my stomach. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants, including Michelin star rated ones, and this meal is one of my top meals. I highly recommend trying this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Our group of five had an unforgettable experience at Urban Grub in Nashville! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the trendy, welcoming vibe and lively atmosphere. It’s clear why this spot is so popular — it hits the perfect balance of upscale and relaxed. We started our evening at the charcuterie and oyster bar, which was the perfect kickoff. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the drinks were top-notch. The attention to detail and quality in the small bites and beverages alone set the tone for a great night. Once seated in the dining area, we ordered a variety of dishes that absolutely delivered on flavor and presentation. Two of us had the shrimp and grits — creamy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with Southern charm. One ordered the Springer Mountain all-natural chicken, which was juicy, tender, and beautifully plated. The two Club Carbonara dishes were a hit as well — rich, savory, and satisfying without being too heavy. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and every course arrived in perfect rhythm. Urban Grub is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable meal in a stylish setting. Whether you’re local or just visiting, this spot should be on your Nashville dining

This is an upscale restaurant but it's relaxed and welcoming! We'll be back again.

Mas Tacos Por Favor is a beloved Mexican eatery in East Nashville that started as a food truck and has now become a local favorite. The no-frills, cash-only restaurant offers an array of delicious tacos, including options like cast iron chicken, braised pork, Baja fish, fried avocado, and quinoa with sweet potato. In addition to tacos, they also serve hand-rolled tamales on Wednesdays and refreshing drinks like horchata and agua fresca.
This is a fabulous local spot if you want cool and trendy tacos at an affordable price. Tacos are all corn tortilla based, so more authentic in their creation, but the flavor profiles and pairings were amazing. Nothing fried here, so no tortilla chips. Everybody at the table got something different and we enjoyed it all! Walk up window service and you can see yourself outside or inside. Big cooler full of water with cups next to it if you need it. Kitchie aesthetic atmosphere inside. Two single stalled bathrooms inside for customers.

9/19/2025 Stopped here for lunch and while in line a guy who use to work there said the food was phenomenal. I ordered the fried avocado taco, chicken taco, elite, and a margarita. The food was delicious! You order at the window and then find a seat and they call you up to get your tray of food. The only thing I would say is it is hot inside and the constant opening of closing the door flies came in. I would highly recommend this place!! I would love to try all of their menu items. Also they need desserts!!!!

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Nashville!! They earn all the hype that they receive!! I have been coming to the same location for over six years and it is consistently my favorite food and atmosphere and service!! The Tacos are very good!! Elote “Street corn” is the best!! be sure to ask for the toppings. These are roasted carrots and onions, etc., to put on your taco along with the green sauce. The bar has one of the best Mezcal selections I have seen or tasted. Very friendly atmosphere you feel like you are with family.

We were visiting from Louisville for the day and decided to come here for dinner before going to a show at Zanies. It was a cool, vibrant neighborhood and the actual restaurant location was nice. We did wait in line to place our order for awhile (keep in mind this was around 6 PM on a Saturday with beautiful weather). The food: being someone who likes authentic taco spots, the menu provides choices I am not used to, so this was a unique experience! The fish taco was fantastic— probably the best I’ve had in awhile. The chicken and pork tacos were good and simple, with the toppings helping to carry the flavors (my minor complaint is I wish there was more of the garnish and/or sauce). What REALLY elevated our experience were the drinks. I got a pineapple-cilantro agua fresca + a watermelon margarita, and both were DELICIOUS. Thanks for the great dinner!

Love the old school feel of a Cantina with a bar outside eating. Walk up order bring it to your table. You have a bar where you can order drinks. Eat tacos in the sunshine or eat them inside. They also play great eclectic tunes. I had great service when I was there.

Visited Nashville for the first time and this place was recommended by a couple uber drivers. It definitely lived up to the hype. The elote was so sweet and it balanced so well with the tajin. The lady in the front was really nice. We walked in and were able to get seated right away. The food was really good, I had the Nashville hot chicken biscuits. The cafe is known for its extensive amaro shelf and live jazz nights. The menu features dishes like country ham toast with freshly-shaved parmesan and cabbage-wrapped roasted halibut in leek vichyssoise.
Everything was executed perfectly at happy hour. Warm and friendly service, immaculate light n airy bar/cafe vibes. We'll be back!!

The good The food was healthy, unique, visually appealing and prepared nicely. I had the beet salad with salmon and an espresso Martini. The bad My Espresso Martini was delivered to the wrong table. Instead of remaking a new one, the server simply delivered it to my table and at least ¼ of the drink was spilled out and the glass was all sticky and it was a pretty tiny drink to begin with. We had a table of 5 and none of the food came out together, the first dish was delivered, then in 5-minutes another dish ... Overall the food was great, but incredibly bland and under seasoned. Relatively expensive for what we got, the price didn't match the service for sure

I had a really good dinner at Cafe Rose with friends. The restaurant is smaller than I expected, and some of the seating was a little uncomfortable but they overall had a great vibe. We got the zucchini fritters and hummus as appetizers and I had the ricotta gnocchi as my entree. Everything was really good, but not as memorable as I had hoped! It’s a great neighborhood restaurant and if I lived closer I’d go more often.

The ambience strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and chic, making it ideal for brunch, lunch, or even just a coffee break. The food was absolutely delicious! The Manchego gnocchi was rich, comforting, and full of flavor, while the avocado hummus was fresh and perfectly seasoned — both dishes were top-notch 😋. Everything from the service to the presentation shows great attention to detail. Definitely a spot worth visiting again and again!

I’ve been coming here for years and today was absurd. First though… the burger was amazing, the bartenders are awesome. I’ve actually never had a bad experience here previously but am compelled to post this. I walk in with a coffee from down the street. The manager rushes over and informs me that “we have our own coffee program and there is no outside coffee allowed.” and to remember that for next time. Now, this isn’t a huge deal (although there are 25 coffee shops in a 2 mile radius here. Not sure how one can expect to enforce these rules or why they are so important. Osa beans and high garden tea are everywhere) So to mitigate the issue she puts my coffee in another plastic cup with a Cafe Roze sticker on one side which sits next to me in the photo below. As you can see from the photo, it doesn’t matter at all… The kicker for me is that I didn’t say one single word during that entire interaction and was being spoken at like a kid as opposed to spoken to like an adult. Very off putting and off to be honest strange. She grabbed my coffee without asking and then~ said “sorry for manhandling your coffee.” Like please get your hands off of my things! Insane! I see no value in bringing it up to her in person as I type this from the bar and see more value in posting here for more to see. Save yourself embarrassment and DO NOT bring your own coffee into here. Otherwise, enjoy.

Between the 2 of us we had the Gnocchi, labenah, steak frites, and falafel. All were excellent. Only feedback would be was wish there was a little more crunch to the falafel / texture profile to that dish. But otherwise 10/10 all around. Will definitely be back.

The Pancake Pantry in Nashville's Hillsboro Village is a beloved breakfast spot that has been serving up delicious pancakes, egg dishes, and sandwiches since 1961. This family-owned diner offers a wide variety of made-from-scratch pancakes, including their famous sweet potato pancakes and unique flavors like Georgia Peach, Caribbean, and Santa Fe Cornmeal. In addition to their signature pancakes, the menu features farm-fresh egg dishes, syrupy waffles, gourmet sandwiches, and freshly prepared salads.
I can’t say enough good things about my visit to Pancake Pantry! The food was everything I hoped for fluffy pancakes cooked perfectly, rich syrup, and sides that hit the spot. But what really made the experience memorable was our server, Sarah. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right checking in often, anticipating what we might need before we even asked, and doing it all with the warmest smile. Sarah turned a great breakfast into an outstanding one. It’s service like hers that makes a place feel truly special. I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll be asking for Sarah next time!

Highly recommend the food here! They are fast and efficient. We waited about 20 minutes for a table at noon on a Sunday. Once we got in, it was super fast. They do have an accessible entrance but it's a little tight and you have to go through their outside tables for a flat entrance. Otherwise there are a few stairs by the door. We tried many of the flavors and all were great. Sweet potato was my favorite.

I started with the candied bacon, coated in brown sugar and maple syrup. It was a little on the sweet side for me, but I still enjoyed it. Next, I tried the country fried steak and eggs. It was flavorful and well-balanced, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. Although I'm not much of a pancake guy, I can definitely say this place is worth the wait.

Came for breakfast at 9am on a Titans gameday. Heard that there is almost always a line to get in and that was the case for our party of two, but we only had to stand outside for 15 minutes. Friendly host took us in and we had a table by the front window and we could people watch as we ate. Did notice that people who chose to eat outside had a shorter wait time as there were a couple of open tables. Server was prompt and of course recommended the pancakes, either blueberry or cinnamon. Love a good blueberry pancake so I chose that with a side of bacon and I split an order of biscuits and gravy with my friend I was having breakfast with. The food came out pretty quick. The pancakes were fluffy buttermilk with a dusting of powdered sugar and some blueberries on top. It also came with a blueberry compote that was sweet and think kind of a cross between jelly and syrup. The pancakes were really good! The bacon was cooked to perfection, not too crispy and not too waist. The biscuits and gravy order had two biscuits with a good gravy that was a little spicy. Not as much of a sawmill gravy/pepper gravy taste that I expected to get, more of a thinner gravy that paired well with the slight sweetness of the biscuit. Overall, very good flavor and texture. Could not finish all of the pancakes or even the biscuits and gravy order, portion were pretty large. Price was about what you would spend for a similar breakfast type location like a First Watch or Eggs Up chain, but the food quality was better. Great overall experience at the Pancake Pantry and a must visit location if you are in downtown Nashville!

Amazing second location that offers very good food at a great price. The wait seems long but the line moves fast, don’t let it discourage you! The service was great and coffee was very good.

This cute breakfast place had a constant line the whole time we were here. I can see why. The pancakes were delicious. They served it with two types of syrup- maple and cinnamon. The cinnamon was my favorite. Servers were friendly and efficient and food came out In a timely fashion. It ended up to be a quick breakfast and just what we needed.

The Southern Steak & Oyster is a trendy spot located in the heart of downtown Nashville's SoBro district. It offers an authentically Southern culinary experience with a modern oyster bar and wood-fired grill for locally sourced meats and seafood. Diners can enjoy time-honored dishes prepared from scratch and served with a Southern sensibility, either at the bustling oyster bar or in private high-backed booths.
Absolutely amazing food! Oysters were to die for! Great food and great atmosphere! Only complaint is they should have been transparent that the AC was out. It made for a very hot meal. Still 5 stars tho! Will be back! We also loved the house hot sauce!

This restaurant had been on our radar for three years, and we finally made it here for a birthday meal—it was absolutely worth the wait! We loved all our food and were very satisfied with the portions. The half-rib meal, in particular, was perfectly filling and definitely enough on its own, so we shouldn't have ordered a gumbo side dish. If you go, be mindful that the main portions are generous! Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Five stars for an unforgettable meal! We visited this steak and oyster spot on a whim and ended up blown away. I started with the crab cakes and was thrilled to find out they were *dairy-free*—and still packed with flavor. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and no cream needed. I also had a black cherry cocktail that was dangerously good—sweet, rich, and just strong enough to let you know it's the real deal. We shared a dozen oysters with four different flavor profiles, and every single one was outstanding. Easily the best oysters we've ever had—fresh, briny, and dressed just right. The roasted brussel sprouts deserve their own shoutout—caramelized, a little crispy, and seasoned so well we were fighting over the last few bites. And then there was the full rack of ribs... I barely had to touch them with a fork and the meat fell right off the bone. So tender, so juicy. Total showstopper. Everything we ordered hit the mark. Great service, cozy atmosphere, and food worth coming back for. Add this to your must-try list—you won't regret it.

Came here specifically for the $1 oyster happy hour (3-6). Service was absolutely amazing & the oysters were phenomenal. Thank you so much to the hilarious oyster shucking Sheryl!!! She made my day with her jokes lol. Even gave me some shucking tips to try at home 🤌❤️. Will be back with friends for sure!! (gumbo was also very good)

Not impressed. The woman( not our server ) delivery our food which had items that were medium and medium rare and never said which just set them down. Ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were cooked though and our servicer told us that's how they do it. Well, that's not an eggs Benedict then. We ordered oysters and they never came. We never addressed it to see if it'd be on the check which it wasn't. However we saw the manager and server look at our table several times and pretty sure they deleted them off the check when the server finally realized them never came. It was never addressed or acknowledged. What a joke. NOT WORTH the money. Fresh fish sandwich was bland and dry..clearly not fresh. SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS IN NASHVILLE!

This was an amazing meal. Came here with some coworkers and we shared several appetizers. The oysters were amazing. This shrimp appetizer is so delicious. I ate so many brussel sprouts that I was almost too full to eat my entree. The free biscuits were a great surprise and the drinks were strong and tasty. Even though we had a large group, the food came out very fast and everything came out, correct.

Southern Hospitality at Its Finest! We had an incredible dining experience at The Southern Steak & Oyster in Nashville! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—perfect for a night out in Music City. Our server, Sam, was outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was just right. The highlight of the meal? The Southern Burger. Made with Bear Creek Beef and topped with lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, bacon, pimento cheese, and crispy fried onions—it was a flavor-packed masterpiece. The sweet potato fries on the side were golden and addictive. If you’re visiting Nashville and want a true taste of Southern flair with top-notch service, this spot is a must. Ask for Sam—you’ll be glad you did!

- Salad: not super fresh, mediocre at best. - Added blackened “catch of the day”: Either from frozen fish, or they completely overcooked it. The fish was “black” alright, but not tender at all; it was super dry and tasted more like burnt than blackened seasoning. - The price: 38.42 dollars, with tips I rounded up to $42. Because this is a “higher-end” place, the salad costs $ 16, and the “blackened” fish is $19, but at this quality? - The service: The waiter was ok. But I went to the restroom took my handbag but left my towel on my seat intentionally, when I got back, they cleaned everything, I couldn’t even identify my table! Not sure how a place like this survives when you have so many choices in Nashville. Oh and, 30 mins after I left the place, stomachaches, had to find an emergency restroom. Not fun. This was my only meal besides some black coffee the whole day.

Monell's Dining and Catering is a beloved Southern comfort food restaurant located in a beautifully maintained Victorian house in Germantown. The family-friendly eatery offers all-you-can-eat Southern fare served family-style, creating a convivial atmosphere for guests to enjoy hearty country-style breakfast or brunch. With communal tables and dishes passed around for sharing, the restaurant provides an authentic dining experience.
This joint is amazing all around. If you've never been to a place like this, you are in fir one hell of an experience. Amazing food, great service, and interesting company. You're seated with a table of other folks, and the dishes of grub get passed around the table. You grab what you want from the dish and hand it off to the next person. The best part are the conversations that come out of being sat with strangers. You never know who you'll meet or what you'll learn.

This is a must visit dining spot. The experience of eating with others makes it so special. You sit with a group of about 12 people and the food is served family style. The server brings out the plates and everyone passes them around, which reminded me so much of family gatherings and Thanksgiving. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Such a fun and memorable way to enjoy a meal.

Their sign out front says it best: “Enter as strangers, leave as friends.” And it couldn’t be more true! The food was absolutely awesome — good old-fashioned Southern comfort served family style. You sit down at a big table with 10–12 other folks, pass the food around, and before long you’re chatting and laughing like you’ve known each other for years. We’re from out of town, so being “forced” to meet new people made it even better. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the entire experience something truly special. If you’re ever in Nashville, make Monell’s a must-stop. You won’t just leave full… you’ll leave with new friends.

First time coming to Monell’s and wow I was not expecting this. I’m from the Midwest so I already knew southern hospitality was a thing and was so excited. You walk in and they sit you at a huge table with total strangers and everyone just shares food like it’s Thanksgiving! They’re from all across the world or just neighbors. At first it felt kind of weird but then you get used to it fast and it felt homey. They give you so much food like I’m multiple courses and will give you more if you ask. Appetizers, main dishes, sides, dessert cake at the end. It’s all you can eat and super affordable. I think it was around 15 to 20 per person which is wild for how much you get. There’s something for everyone. I’m not vegetarian but I noticed there were plenty of options! The vibe was really welcoming. All ages, all races, everyone!! The workers are so so friendly too! Insanely nice and I understand southern hospitality now :)

Driving through Nashville on our way home from vacation and we randomly picked this place for brunch. I was expecting a long wait however it wasn't long at all considering we didn't have a reservation .They serve everything family style and you sit at a large table with other patrons so be prepared to make friends. The pan fried chicken, peach preserves 🍑, fresh country sausage and fluffy biscuits were my favorite part. This is a southern comfort, all you can eat delight! Not to mention the house is charming and the price is cheap for all the food you get! 🤩

Monell's family style dining is not just a meal, it's an experience. Their sign says "Enter as strangers and leave as friends." As customers arrive, they are seated at a large table until the table is full. There were three different groups seated at a table for ten. Then food is brought out and passed around the table. We lunched on a Thursday afternoon around two o'clock and were seated immediately. The meal consisted of delicious sweet corn bread that was almost like cake, biscuits, butter, preserves, cole slaw, cheesy mac and cheese, corn pudding, green beans (these were so good, cooked in some kind of broth), pineapple casserole, fried chicken, tender barbecue chicken, roast beef, and gravy with bread pudding for dessert. We were all stuffed. I also enjoyed the beautiful landscaping, the antique furniture, murals, and teapot collection. Highly recommend if you stop to eat in Nashville.

Soul food restaurant
Arnold's Country Kitchen is a renowned Southern and soul food cafeteria-style restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee. It has received the prestigious James Beard Classic award and is famous for its traditional 'meat n three' dishes. Despite its expansion, long lines are still common due to its popularity among locals, musicians, politicians, and tourists. The restaurant now offers dinner hours, weekend hours, and a new bar.
Arnold's is the epitome of the mom and pop meat and three. Cafeteria style straight forward menu that rotates by day. I desperately wanted to get a picture of the menu on the wall, but Arnold's was so busy there was never an opportunity without people standing in front of it to get in the line of delicious food that awaits. The working class who want to taste food from home; made with love and care that mom and grandma would put in their food, and Arnold's sure delivers that exact food. The food that ignites an instant memory just from smell and taste alone, and when food transports us like that we want more of it, and once again Arnold's delivers. The; I'm assuming owners came by and spent time making sure we were enjoying everything, and making sure we had everything we needed, and wanted to genuinely know that we were enjoying our food, and our visit, all while he was holding a stack of trays, after cleaning up tables and consolidating and restocking and who knows what else. Knows his regulars by name, and everyone knows everyone kind of feel, and I appreciate that.. I hope that never dies. Arnold's is just one of the living legends, and a testament of how everyone should be. My lady friend and I had different plates. She had veggies - greens (which were canned) 🤷🏼‍♂️, fried green tomatoes that are addictively good, fried apples, a cauliflower casserole that was just like home. I had the country ribs, which were just like home, and squash casserole that had sugar in it, which makes it addictive, and fried green tomatoes. The food may have MSG because I crashed hard immediately after, and slept for three hours for no reason... 🤷🏼‍♂️ So.. I don't know this, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just good eating. Food is delicious tho... 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🤔 I ate every drop of everything. Remember these prices are fair. It is expensive to operate a restaurant on the cheapest quality foods, and it's apparent to me that Arnold's uses quality foods where they can. I; personally, wish the greens were fresh because they're a nickel a bushel at wholesale, and easy as it gets to cook, and are chalked full of nutrients when prepared properly, but whatever... Arnold's; to me, is a place I would feel comfortable eating everyday. That's a fact, and this feels like a community I could certainly get behind and be honored to be a part of, and I appreciate them allowing us into their world for an afternoon. I had a great time eating at Arnold's, and I look forward to seeing them again when I'm in Nashville.

I walked here from the convention center in less than 10 minutes. This place reminds me of the old Hot Shoppes. I got salmon and 3 sides (green beans, mashed potatoes and cinnamon sugar apples) along with a cornbread muffin and strawberry pie. I’ve never had that kind of pie before but it was very light and refreshing. Yum yum yum. Like home cooking. Reasonable price too. I got there about 11:45 am Monday and there was no line. Lots of places to sit and clean restrooms.

The food is probably accurately represented at a 2.5 star. But definitely not a three. Roast beef was fantastic. At a meant'n three you expect to fall in love with the mac and cheese, but it was burned badly, and the few pieces that didn't have burned cheese weren't overly tasty. If you like very very salty foods, you'll love the green beans, otherwise I couldn't eat them. Also almost $14 for parking because they're small lot was full. Don't buy the hype here.

Was dead when walked in and was a little hesitant to try it out since we were close to end of brunch time, but I was happy after ordering. The food was still fresh, hot, and taste/flavor was a 10 out of a 10. Super friendly staff. Even got dessert to go. Definitely try the roast beef and ribs...bjt honestly everything I tried was amazing!

We love Arnold’s! Great country cooking and good service every time we go so it’s a must when we’re in town. Never had a bad meat or side and tried a couple of pies (spicy chocolate and chocolate chess) today and they’re delicious. Bonus story-they kept our toddlers lovey company until we could come back for it the following day and we were VERY appreciative!

Roast beef was 80% scrap and inedible, see photos. Fried green tomatoes has sugar on them......really! I have an extreme sugar allergy but even if I didn't I don't want sugar on my tomatoes. Meal for 2 was fifty bucks, left most of it on the table. We'll pass this place by next time and recommend you do the same, or at least bring your checkbook and don't get roast beef.

Milk & Honey Gulch is a popular coffee shop and eatery located on 11th Avenue in Nashville's Gulch neighborhood. It offers an all-day breakfast menu from 6:30 am to 3 pm, except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when it's closed. The trendy cafeteria-style spot is always bustling, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere.
Milk & Honey Gulch is clearly a local favorite, we waited about an hour for a table, and the line didn’t let up the whole time. Once seated, though, the experience moved quickly. The space itself is beautifully styled with clean, modern aesthetics and a well-designed logo that gives the place a contemporary charm without trying too hard. 🍽️ Food & Drinks I ordered the Hot Mess Biscuit Sandwich, and it absolutely delivered. The biscuits were soft and not overly dry, perfectly holding together the layers of brisket, bacon, avocado, egg, pickled onion, and chipotle mayo. The flavors worked together beautifully bold but balanced, and surprisingly light for such a stacked breakfast. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality Despite how busy it was, our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Once we were seated, our food came out quickly and the overall service felt smooth and efficient. 💡 Unique Selling Point What sets Milk & Honey Gulch apart is the combination of fresh, flavorful breakfast offerings and a stylish yet cozy setting. It’s clear they’ve built a strong following and once you’ve tasted that sandwich, it’s easy to see why.

Great service and we really enjoyed the food. We got the hodgepodge hash and hot chicken biscuit, both were great and have good flavour. The milk and honey latte was nice, overall a good experience and would be back.

Fantastic stop on our way out of Nashville. Our waiter was very attentive and not overwhelming. He had some great recommendations, including The Hot Mess, a different breakfast, avocado and bacon on a biscuit, and I got a piece of hot chicken on the side. My wife had the pistachio croissant, which was very flavorful, along with the mushroom omelet, which she enjoyed. I had the Milk And Honey latte hot, which was very tasty, and no sugar was needed, and my wife had the Dr Feel Good juice. You have to try the hot honey sauce on the table, it was the perfect flavor for all your food needs.

The bright and airy historic space offers an impeccable presentation of simple yet refined dishes, including a meticulously designed oyster selection flown in fresh daily from around the country.
Great brunch spot in Germantown! I ordered the pork belly polenta and my husband ordered the Turkish eggs. They were able to substitute the lamb for an extra egg. We had the biscuits for an appetizer. Everything was very well and thoughtfully made. The atmosphere was airy and fresh.

FYI: This review is solely based off of happy hour! Such a great experience. After the Sounds game, my friend and I just wanted to hit a quick happy hour and this was close by. I love oysters, but she is a little bit wary of them. Henrietta Red changed her mind! The $2 happy hour oysters are a great deal and the Tommy Margarita and happy hour daiquiri were as well. Our waitress was so nice and very knowledgeable on their menu. The restaurant itself is so beautiful and has such a nice open and airy field to it. The couple next to us had gotten the spaghetti as a part of their meal and it looked delicious, we asked them about it and they raved. So I will definitely be back to Henrietta soon.

Food was excellent here from the apps to the dessert. We were extremely impressed with the chicken pate and the super fresh oysters. The plum and pepper salad was a creative summer mix that somehow worked. The trout and pork loin were a bit less novel, but still tasty. Do not skip on the oolong pana cotta and the chocolate tart either. I ate way too much and would love to revisit in my next Nashville trip. Service also made me feel taken care of the entire meal.

This was one of the best restaurants I have had in years and I live in London so I know good food! The smoke fish conserve was magic. the little gem lettuce was magic, the corn and okra a must, the gnocchi I was licking the plate and the trout we fought over the last few bites. James was top notch as our waiter. Seriously best restaurant in Nashville don’t miss this spot! 💕

Me and my friends came here for dinner thinking it would be a chill and relaxing place to eat, which it was. However, we must have been looking at an old menu when we first made reservations for this place, because the food was pretty pricey, which is our fault for not looking for a more recebt menu. That being said though, I have 0 qualms dropping some decent money on food, but I expect to either be wowed or full... and I got niether. Portions were a lil on the smaller side with some friends being perfectly full and some still hungry. I was unfortunately the latter... the menu is just two columns with appetizers on the left and entrees on the right. On the right I saw some scallops with some greens, mushrooms, a puree, and nduja (an Italian sausage) and since it was with the entrees I thought it was a decent size... ya'll... it was 3 scallops that were practically bay scallops. On top of that there was no sign of the nduja and when I asked if they forgot it, I was told it was "cooked with the scallops"... the dish as a whole was ok, but nothing to write home about. I also got 2 oysters which weren't half bad but all in all by the end of it I paid a little under $100 to be unsatisfied both taste wise and in fullness... maybe if I got something else I would have given a slightly higher rating but based on this experienced, def over priced and a bit pretentious

We had dinner at Henrietta Red and made it for the happy hour. The oysters were fresh and the drinks were good. We started with a dozen oysters, the bread, green curry oysters, beef tartare, and Poppy's caviar. The smaller plates were overall well balanced except for the beef tartare, which was a little bland, but still bright and fresh. Things took a turn when the larger plates came out. We ordered the risotto, scallops, and the whole trout. I was the first to eat in my group. I tried the risotto first and instantly thought I was turning into my mother, who calls every dish "salty." I tried the scallops and trout next, and it was like I was eating spoonfuls of salt. My group also said the food was way too salty, so I knew it wasn't in my head. We felt bad if we sent back 3 dishes, so we did our best to finish each plate. Thankfully, the flavor of the larger plates was stellar! It was just the saltiness that made it difficult for us to keep eating. We each paid $130, which feels a little too steep for the experience we had. My family and I love coming to Henrietta Red, so it was a little disappointing that this visit fell flat. We wanted to warn the kitchen, but felt that it might've come off as rude in the moment. Again, we love Henrietta Red and hope this feedback is helpful!

We came across restaurant from Chapgpt recommendation and enjoyed anniversary brunch. Was pleasantly surprised by menu selections and excellent service. Ordered a combination of oysters and highly recommend the Rocky Nook. The biscuits were buttery, crumbly and savory and complimented well with the strawberry perserves. The polenta was the chefs kiss. Enjoyed all 3 dishes with mimosas and bloody Mary’s. Highly recommend the restaurant while visiting Nashville. We've been to proper bagel quite a few times now, and it has definitely become our favorite bagel place in Nashville. It is a busy place, but they're up front about wait times when you order (which should be obvious by the line than can be out the door). We usually feel that we get our bagels before the quoted time even. They have a great bacon, egg, and cheese. It's nice that they give the option of ketchup coming on it. All the bagel types We've tried have been good - plain, sourdough, and jalapeno cheddar. The jalapeno cheddar isn't like most other places - some specs of each throughout the bagel that really suits itself to complimenting whatever you get on the bagel as opposed to being the main show. We've also eaten here with a friend that avoids gluten and she was pleased with their gluten free bagel.

My wife loved Proper Bagel this place is popular it gets really busy my wife got a bagel sandwich she really liked the whipped cream cheese service was excellent and it was prepared fast there is only like 3 parking spots so it could get difficult to find a parking spot if you are in the neighbor hood and want some breakfast stop in

Some places make your soul feel good. This is one of those places. We enjoyed the best bagel sandwiches in our lifetime and wanted to say thank you! We'll be sure to visit next time we come to Nashville.

The Nova Scotia salmon is hands down the best bagel sandwich I have ever had. I have been all over New York City and Chicago and proper bagel has been the best. The only problem is the long wait which is up to an hour and the hectic holdback to wait for a table to open up. It is very loud and hard to talk but the bagels are very worth it. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich or bagel because we tried a lot and everything was good. They even gave us a free bagel when they made a mistake, and they’re was someone cleaning every table. I highly recommend proper bagel as it is one of the best bagel spots in the Midwest region.

I got a jersey finest bagel which has Taylor pork rolls egg and cheese i modified it and got scallion cream cheese instead of American and on a cinnamon crunch bagel, it was absolutely delicious!!! Get it I promise you it’s so so good!

We watched YouTube channel “Bilingirl Chika” and wanted to visit, so we came to Nashville from Indiana!! The store was clean, the staff were kind, and we felt very comfortable during our visit. We ordered a strawberry shortcake, cookie dough, a Nova Scotia salmon bagel, and avocado toast. Plus, coffee. When we ordered the shortcake, we got an extra one as a special deal today! Everything was absolutely delicious! Since we couldn’t finish it all, we’ll save the leftovers for lunch. It’s such a wonderful and tasty place that if it were near our home, we’d probably visit all the time! We’d love to come back!!

Liberty Common is a chic cafe with a full bar and patio, offering a fusion of Southern comfort foods and French classics. Located just blocks away from popular landmarks in Nashville, it provides excellent people-watching opportunities from its sidewalk patio. The happy hour features affordable local drafts, house wines, highballs, and frozen cocktails. The menu includes the double-patty Liberty burger, Liberty fried chicken sandwich with bacon and chipotle buttermilk slaw, and roasted buffalo cauliflower for vegetarians.
Liv is one of the best servers I’ve ever had! The food, drinks, and atmosphere here is immaculate. I got the steak & eggs. When I come back to Nashville, I will definitely be coming back here.

We made a last minute (day of) brunch reservation here on a Saturday. Loved this restaurant! The vibe is very chill, offering chic/modern decor! Their food was amazing, especially their breakfast potatoes! Our server was awesome and recommended the best dishes! I ordered a Bellini which also was very yummy! Can’t wait to visit again soon.

I got the breakfast plate and amazing eggs and potatoes I didn't need to add any ketchup or anything. But it did get a little salty as I kept eating but it was still delicious. The biscuit was delightful and soo soft and the right amount of flaky. The sausage also was tasty and a good combo to the eggs and potatoes. I would definitely recommend and go back if I am in the area.

Honestly, the food tasted like frozen breakfast trays from the aisle of Kroger or Walmart deep freezer. Just look at the chicken, dried out, rubbery, and cooked in old grease. This was a huge disappoint for me! The waiter was nice but used her bare hands to grab me an unwrapped straw. Please use gloves. This is most definitely a health violation! I will not return back.

Marché Artisan Foods is a popular European-style cafe located in Nashville, Tennessee. It's the sister restaurant to Margot Cafe & Bar and has been serving locals since 2006. The menu features breakfast and lunch dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, with a focus on breakfast items like omelettes, frittatas, and crepes. The cafe offers a hipster vibe with reclaimed wood seating and plenty of vegetarian options. A must-try dish is the Croissant French Toast.
This place is amazing, a gem away from tourists with amazing service, ambiance and food; best find in Nashville. Jessica our server was amazing, a beautiful lady, super patient (as i had foreign family with me which required translation). Quality of foods and beverages was phenomenal. Feels like you are in a little french bistro.

Service and food is excellent! We were fortunate to be able to come on a weekday morning twice during our stay in Nashville. We were seated straightaway, we came around 9-10am on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Their specialty drinks are a nice size and not too sweet (We tried the Cafe au Lait, Matcha Latte, and London Fog). Brunch is great. We tried the Croque Monsieur, Steak and Eggs, Savory Crepe, Sweet Potato, Croissant French Toast, Croissant Breakfast Sandwich, additionally we also tried the Turkey Breakfast Sausage and Applewood Bacon. Everything was good! The side salads were fresh and not overdressed, steak was cooked extremely well - medium rare. Everything delicious. Additionally prices are reasonable, service is quick and friendly. Comfortable, relaxed ambiance, and spacious. Bonus - I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have gender neutral bathrooms and compostable takeout containers. Also they have a nice small selection of locally made goods for sale e.g. candles, lotions, etc. If we lived in Nashville we would certainly make this a frequent spot!

Valentine's Day brunch, or waitress was pleasant, kind, and helpful. Food was very good (if a bit pricey). I got the Spiced Pear Collins drink which was fantastic and delicious. Definitly worth checking out for a lovely brunch.

Great place for brunch! Servers are very warm and friendly. And their Shepherd's pie is to die for! Mashed potato on top is very fluffy, and the filling beneath is of a great flavor harmony among lamb, carrots, and peas. I took one star off because of their latte, it is a bit cold, and lack of coffee flavor. I would not recommend it.

Marché is always amazing. This time I had the sweet potato which was incredible with two eggs on top. The crispy bacon side is excellent and I love greens in the AM. The Americano was perfection. It does get noisy inside, so if you’re looking for a quiet place, this isn’t it. I’ve also had oatmeal here and breakfast type sandwiches. No one is ever disappointed. Thanks !!

This is a real gem in East Nashville. I love visiting this place for brunch. It’s local, unique, and packed full of flavor. They are always changing up the specials which I enjoy that keeps me wanting to go back. Get there early or expect to wait, but waiting is totally worth it.

Delicious breakfast with great service! Our waiter was fantastic! I ordered a pineapple mimosa and the French toast. Best decision ever! So yummy! My friend ordered a carrot Bloody Mary that she really enjoyed as well as a vegan dish. There is off street parking all around the area as well as some paid parking lots. Highly recommend this place!

Went there for breakfast with friends today. The positive: - very cute place - coffee was excellent - waitress was wonderful The negative - I had biscuits and gravy ($8) - add an egg (add $2) - add bacon (add $5) - total $15. For that price it should be excellent. It was mediocre at best. - friend had the same thing and felt the same way -other friend had French toast ($12) and she was not crazy about it. Overall honestly a disappointing breakfast

Merchants Restaurant, established in 1988, is located in a historic building that dates back to the 1870s and was once a hotel frequented by Nashville music legends. The three-story structure originally housed a hardware store, pharmacy, and wholesale drugstore that sold products like 'Blood Medicine.' Today, the restaurant offers Southern bistro fare on the ground floor and more formal dining upstairs.
Really enjoyed the baked, roasted Chicken and Tomato Soup starter. My date had the fish tacos and everything was delicious! Service was out-of-this World! The manager checked on us several times, and made sure we were satisfied. I love the historic charm and cozy dining space. Great spot for lunch or dinner!!

This place was really busy on a Tuesday evening for dinner. It was hard to find the hostess stand but we were able to locate it in the back of the restaurant. The service was a little disorganized but the guy managing the place was over the top with making up for the initial poor service we received. We were sitting down for 15 minutes before anybody noticed. There was also a mixup with our order as we were supposed to get the salad first but everything came at once. They quickly rectified the situation, by comping part of the meal and also bringing a peach cobbler, which was an added bonus. The fried green tomatoes were a little too fried, but the duck tater tots were absolutely amazing. The serving was pretty large, barely leaving room for dinner. The wedge salad was pretty good and the tomato bisque was just OK. The peach cobbler was fantastic. Overall, the service was really good and the atmosphere is energetic and hopping. I would go back for sure.

Wanted to go to one of the traditional Honky Tonks on Broadway but ended up at this lovely place! Service was great, very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Particularly liked the indie rock music (Franz Ferdinand, Foals etc.) that was playing in the background. Weather outside wasn’t great so we stayed for a bit longer which wasn’t a problem. Can highly recommend this place and the Moscow Mule which comes with very yummy candied ginger!

I was expecting fine dining because of the price and how the place looks but HELLO!!! I was served a below average salmon with some brocolli that didnt have any flavour and no even trimmed. Appetizers were ok, thats the only reason why Im giving a 2 star and not 1. Service was very good too, but entrees were lacking love.

Presentation was spot on. The duck fat tater tots were nothing special;however, the spicy mustard to dip into was AWESOME. Cocktails were fresh and pleasing and service was attentive. The chicken was AMAZING! The salmon BLT was cooked perfectly and don't sleep on those sweet potato fries on the side! All in all a great dining experience in the bustle of Nashville.

Nice step out of the hustle and bustle of the busy street to a quieter and more laid back atmosphere. The decor made you feel like you were transferred to a more relaxing upscale time. The waitress was friendly and accommodating to even the smallest request. Our food delicious and was quickly devoured.

We came here for date night while in town and I’m so glad we did. Their food was amazing. For an app we ordered the oysters which were beyond flavorful. Dinner was their salmon and filet, then we shared a baked potato which was HUGE. The salmon skin was crispy while the salmon it’s self was soft and juicy. The sauce had a little kick to it but the roasted potatoes balanced it out perfectly. The filet was cooked correctly and was so tender it cut like butter. The flavor of it was amazing. Will definitely plan dinner here again. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.

Excellent restaurant right on Broadway in Nashville. Friends recommended us to stop here for the famous duck fat taters and I gotta say they are so addictive. We split a half portion for two and it was a perfect size! We also had the Cobb salad and grilled cheese and soup of the day. The staff was super friendly and really attentive. Their location is perfect for honky-tonkin and I imagine they are quite busy. Nice decor reminded me of a historical bar from the district. Clean and neat as well. Definitely a stop in if you are in the area. Great menu to choose from and well-priced for 2, under $40 ~ CHECK out my PHOTOS for more ~ not showing in REVIEWS

Peg Leg Porker BBQ is a renowned Nashville barbecue spot located in the Gulch area. The restaurant, opened by native pitmaster Carey Bringle, offers a soulful interior and an expanded second story known as the Pig Pen for dining and drinking. The menu features traditional West Tennessee smoked meats like dry ribs, pulled pork platter, and yardbird with tangy white sauce.
Best ribs that I have had in a long time. They got the bark on the ribs just perfect. I paired my ribs with mac and cheese as well as the pit beans. Both sides were delicious. I washed it all down with a nice cold lager. Because you can't have BBQ without beer, right? This place reminded me why I love BBQ so much.
Benny N — Google review
Peg Leg Porker, and no, it is not just my name at the bus stop. Jokes aside, this was by far the best barbecue I have had outside of Texas. I arrived a bit late, so many of the proteins were already sold out, but I managed to get a pulled pork sandwich that was absolutely out of this world. The flavor was spot on, with just the right amount of seasoning, temperature, texture, and a tangy sauce that tied everything together. On the side, I had the mac and cheese and potato salad, which made for an incredibly flavorful combination. I am already looking forward to coming back on my next visit to Nashville.

This barbecue place totally deserves 5 stars! The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality and making sure customers leave happy. And honestly, they have the best smoked wings I’ve ever had in my life! Definitely one of the best BBQ spots I’ve tried — I’ll be coming back for sure!

We've been to Peg Leg Porker before. The food continues to be excellent. We had the rack of ribs. We love their dry rub. They're perfectly smoked. The potato salad was... potato salad. The bbq beans were even better when I added their mild sauce to it. Their sauce is good, too. The service was lightening fast. The atmosphere is noisy with robust laughing and conversations all around. It's obvious when I look around that everyone is enjoying their food. Whenever we come to Nashville, this is the one place we come back to every time... it's that good! I highly recommend Peg Leg Porker.

We made a quick day trip to Nashville from Memphis TN. Now of course we LOVE out Memphis BBQ but always up for trying new places! I love the Vibe of the Place. Had a Half rack of ribs and some whole Chicken wings. I love the dry rub seasoning used and the sauce provided for dipping on the side. I thought was reasonably priced fir what we got!

GREAT local BBQ. Casual dining room, order at the counter and pick up your food. Pulled pork sandwich platter came with 2 sides - i got fries and coleslaw slaw. It was all excellent!! My wife got pork nachos and PLP wings. The wings were huge and cooked just right. Definitely go if you're in Nashville!!
Mark R — Google review
Great bbq place - nothing NEEDS sauce but everything is better with sauce. Not show are the fried-to-order hand pies (don't miss out on the chocolate) and banana pudding (good but not great - it didn't taste like the pudding was home made). The rib meat falls off the bones. The jalapeno cheese smoked sausage might have been my favorite. My teen and husband shared combo platter and we left with about 4 ribs and all of the pulled pork. I was happy with my pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw.

This place is all about the food, and it is fantastic! A simple, laid-back spot with some of the best BBQ we've had. We came with a group of 8 and got there right at noon, which was perfect timing—we sat together with no problem. A few minutes later, the lunch rush hit hard and the place was packed. Highly recommend visiting the place.

Live music venue
GRAYS on Main is a rustic-chic cafe located in historic Franklin, offering Southern cuisine and craft cocktails in a charming setting. Housed in a Victorian building that was once a neighborhood pharmacy for almost 100 years, the restaurant features beautifully preserved interiors and an inviting bar area. The chef-driven menu showcases seasonal Southern fare made from locally sourced ingredients, while the drink selection includes delicious craft cocktails with a nod to the late 19th century culture.
We visited Gray’s on a busy Saturday for lunch without a reservation at 12:15, but were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a table reservation for 45 minutes later. This gave us the perfect opportunity to explore the charming downtown area, and our table was ready earlier than expected at 12:45. Our server, Kelsey, was exceptional, keeping our water and tea glasses full while checking on us just the right amount throughout the meal. The service was quick—our food arrived within about 15 minutes—and everything was delicious. We tried the chicken salad sandwiches, which were outstanding, paired with the best fries we’ve ever had. The pork belly lettuce wraps were equally amazing. The menu offers a unique taste that really sets this place apart. Gray’s has a cool vibe with rustic chic decor—exposed brick, warm wood accents, and vintage touches that give it a laid-back yet stylish atmosphere. The live music stage adds to the charm, and though we haven’t experienced the music yet, it’s definitely on our list for the next visit!
Sara M — Google review
The food and drinks at GRAYS on Main were excellent! The house Old Fashioned was amazing—perfectly balanced and smooth. The grilled chicken and strawberry spinach salad was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also had the fried green tomatoes topped with cheese and herbs, which were crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit lacking and the food took quite a long time to come out, which kept this from being a 5-star experience. Still, the quality of the food and drinks made it worth the wait. Would definitely come back!
Matthew — Google review
What a fun, lively evening with southern flare! We made reservations ahead of time and researched when live music would be playing, we reserved a table in the second floor near the stage and it was perfect! Katie provided exceptional service and we enjoyed every bite. The music was great and set the ambience for an enjoyable evening. I only wish there was a solution for the college kid sitting in the middle of the dining room, watching football on his phone and non-stop conversing with his girlfriend at such a loud volume trying to compete with the live music.
Rachel P — Google review
I can't say enough great things about this place! Really cool atmosphere. The rustic vibe and the Southern food made for an amazing time. We sat on the second floor near the stage and were treated to a great performance by Dylan J. (Singer/guitar player) The food was delicious. We asked the bartender to make us a refreshing drink and it was just okay but my friend had an old fashioned that was soooo good. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back. The service was on the slower side but we enjoyed that they weren't rushing us because we were enjoying the music. The carrot cake and the banana pudding were the stars of the night!! I'm craving that banana pudding right now!
Carole M — Google review
That pork chop! Oh my goodness that pork chop!!! The absolute best that I have EVER had hands down!! It was so incredibly tender and juicy. If you would have told me that it was a steak I would have believed you. My mother had the trout and loved it! They hand craft their own delicious cocktails including the mixers that they use. I was told that each bartender creates their own signature cocktail. I love this place and I make a point of stopping by every time I pass through Franklin.

Grays on Main has quickly become one of our top dining spots in the area, and it's easy to see why. I highly recommend booking a reservation days to weeks in advance because this place is popular for all the right reasons. While waiting to be seated, the charm of downtown Franklin will keep you entertained with its array of sweet shops, unique stores, and lively bars. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere took us back in time, perfectly capturing the spirit of the 1800s when the town was founded. The entire table couldn't stop raving about the vibe—it’s truly something special. Now, onto the food, which was absolutely incredible. We ordered the fried chicken, figs wrapped in bacon, and the filet with a side of cheese grits. Each dish was a standout, but the steak was the real star. It was so tender it melted in my mouth—one of those steaks you savor with every bite, soft like butter and rich like bone marrow. Grays on Main is now our go-to spot for bringing friends and family for an unforgettable evening. If you're in Franklin, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won't be disappointed!

We visited Grays on main for lunch and mocktails before heading on to Nashville. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a touch of Franklin pharmaceutical history. The mocktails were decent, and the birria Mac and cheese was creamy. We ordered the salads with chicken as well. These were not as big as expected, but they were delicious. I would recommend this place.

A night out with friends is exactly what i needed after a long day. Grays was a great place to relax and unwind. New American restaurant
Adele's Nashville is a farm-to-fork restaurant located off of 12th Avenue S, offering a cool vibe and patio seating. The restaurant provides New American dishes and cocktails, with a seasonal menu featuring options like duck leg with plum barbecue mustard or Verlasso salmon with cucumber, dill, and blood orange.
My 5 and your 5 might have different variants, but I can't write about our experience here without making it a 5. The service from our server, Mallory, definitely pushed our experience over the edge regardless. She was awesome in efficient service and a welcoming personality. It is a weekend brunch buffet, so I won't list ALL of the options, but I will call out a few. Solid bacon, shrimp, mac and cheese, and kale salad, but the smoked salmon stole the show for me personally. I was sad they had no cookies during our visit, but the bread pudding made up for that personal target of mine. Everything was delicious, and the line moved fast. Spacious place with plenty of seating, and an energetic atmosphere. Initially, I thought the wife was just picking a brunch place in walking distance from the hotel, but apparently their brunch is sort of a big deal wherever you are in the city. Although it is out of your control, here is hoping you get Mallory as your server. I definitely recommend, we might make it back during our next visit, and see you there...

This is a big restaurant! They have interesting cocktails and serve their entrees a La carte, so we ordered sides for the table as well as a salad and cornbread to start. The entrees ranged from good to very good. The portion sizes were good. We left very full- even without dessert. My favorites were the kale salad and the cornbread, which were the most basic of the things we ordered. The sides were good as well- we had the Brussels and potatoes. If I were in the area again, I would go back, but would probably order differently, knowing more about the portion sizes and the fact that I liked the accompaniments to the meal more than the entrees.

This place was amazing! The brunch buffet food was fresh and tasty. The line went pretty quickly too. The best were the shrimps and grits and the kale salad. 32$ per person, which I think is slightly reasonable. Fresh orange juice too! Great service and atmosphere. It was loud, but I was able to hear others and talk. Would come again!

This was the best meal we had in Nashville. We made a last min reservation on the 4th of July weekend. We were promptly seated when we arrived and the service was exceptional throughout the night. Our waitress recommended we try the pork and as suggested it was excellent and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the fish and that was pretty good too. We shared the kale salad and dessert and staying consistent with the theme both were excellent. The place itself was calm and not too crowded we enjoyed a great date night in a lovely setting. Would definitely recommend trying this spot out for a date night or a special occasion.

I have been an owner and operator of several restaurants for over 35 years. We found Adele’s when walking around the Gulch area. Little did we know what treasure we found. Orders a cocktail which was spot on. Megan was an awesome server, suggesting we start with a kale salad. Who likes Kale!!? Well, she converted us. Salad was amazing. The entrees were delicious too. The place was clean, staff was attentive and bathrooms spotless. Highly recommend when in Nashville. Oh and don’t forget to get the Brussels too!

Pricey for such small portions — my first time here and honestly, I wasn’t a fan. The fall menu wasn’t great, though the atmosphere was nice. I’ve heard the brunch options are much better, so I might give it another try for brunch, but dinner was definitely a miss for me.

Great experience here! The food was very good, the staff were very nice, and the vibes were great. They sat us near a very large speaker which wasn’t my favorite, but luckily there weren’t that many groups around us, so the noise was manageable. The drinks were very good — I can’t remember the name of mine but it was one of the tequila ones. We had the kale salad (awesome), cornbread with chipotle honey (so so good), Brussels (just ok), potatoes (also just ok), duck, mahi mahi, gnocchi and pork. Our server was very nice and helpful. The service was quick and dishes were delivered in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend coming here if you’re visiting!

The Tavern in Nashville is a must-visit! We came for brunch and had an outstanding experience. The food was top-notch—we had the Country and Western Burger (almost as big as my wife’s head!) and the honey hot chicken and waffles, both absolutely delicious. We paired them with some of the best Bloody Marys we’ve had—perfect for a relaxed weekend brunch. The weather was perfect—overcast and cool—so we sat on the outdoor patio, which made the whole experience even better. The vibe was laid-back and inviting. Knowledgeable and friendly. Fun watching them make a smoked Smoky Bear cocktail. Yummy bubbly piemento cheese appetizer. Happy hour was $9 for a portion of their cocktails and 1/2 price apps . Had an espresso martini, which was lovely, but a bit frothy, which meant my glass was only 2/3rds full😕 Would return to try dinner sometime. Thanks A bit

I ordered the steak & eggs. The steak was very very chewy. Rough on my teeth. I was excited for the hashbrown casserole but it was Cold. I ordered the red velvet pancake as an appetizer but the server mixes it up and gave us the cinnamon roll. I was on a date so didn’t want to complain or send anything back…. But the cinnamon roll was also chewy. I tried to cut into it for an Instagram video … and it clearly didnt cut smoothly. It was hard. Guys. Come on. Yall need some help. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Horrible quality food

Oyster bar restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant SoBro district of Downtown Nashville, The Diner Nashville is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. This expansive six-story establishment offers an eclectic mix of American classics alongside sushi and oysters, all served in a modern setting. Each floor presents its own unique ambiance—from the nostalgic diner feel on the ground level to a lively sports bar atmosphere above, culminating with a stunning raw and sushi bar at the top.
My wife, son and I came for breakfast. Let me start out that this is NOT a cook to order restaurant. For example, they can only do scrambled eggs. Having said that, the food was good and, because it is not cook to order, it comes out almost immediately. The toast was thick - no cheap thin white bread - and tasty. My son had the chicken and waffle and he liked it. My wife would have liked eggs over easy tho. I would recommend if you're in downtown Nashville and looking for a place to eat. It's a very interesting multi-level restaurant on six different floors.

I had a solid brunch experience that I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill spot to enjoy good food. The atmosphere was laid-back yet lively, perfect for a weekend outing with friends or family. The menu had a nice variety of options, from classic brunch staples to more unique offerings. One standout item for me was definitely the pretzels. They were soft, warm, and perfectly salted on the outside, with a fluffy inside that made them incredibly satisfying. The accompanying dip—whether cheese, mustard, or both—was flavorful and complemented the pretzels perfectly. You could tell they were freshly made, and they had that comforting, homemade feel that elevates a simple dish into something special. Aside from the pretzels, the rest of the meal was well-executed. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out at just the right pace. Drinks were solid, too—whether you’re into coffee, juice, or brunch cocktails, there’s something for everyone. Overall, it was a great spot that balanced quality, comfort, and a welcoming vibe. If you’re in the area and looking for a dependable brunch place, this one should definitely be on your list. And seriously—don’t skip the pretzels.

Coffee was absolutely amazing- check the menu above the bar before sitting because they have some fantastic options and boozy shakes! We had breakfast 2 mornings because the service was great and there wasn't any wait. Excellent food, very fresh and not greasy!

Good for a quick brunch on Sunday. We stopped in on the way to the Titans game about 1030ish. Very busy, but with only 2 of us, we got a table on the 5th floor overlooking the city. They were sorta busy, but not crazy..80% fans for the game and mostly visitors. Food was pretty good and I'd go back to try more on their menu. Perfect parking at music city center.

I liked the open air seating on the second floor; The friendly service; the atmosphere. The drinks my wife ordered "Steeple Chase" and my Stella. I ordered the salmon with green beans, tarter sauce and rice. My wife ordered the filet with potatoes and asparagus. We also ordered the sweet and sour shrimp appetizer. The shrimp appetizer was la choy sweet and sour sauce over a frozen breaded shrimp. This was simply nasty. It was cold rubbery and tasteless. The sauce was applied like it had gold flakes in it so no help there. The salmon no doubt a frozen product again over cooked more seasoning wouldn't have helped, but would it have hurt? The tarter sauce which has a different name on the menu did add some moisture and some flavor. Did I mention I don't like tarter sauce? The green beans with onions was the best thing on the plate. The rice was probably uncle bens it certainly was not a fresh product and flavorless. My wife's filet was not very flavorful but the highly recommended sauce that the filet was cooked in (?) was awful. The skin on mashed potatoes were very good as was the asparagus. They do add a 3.5% credit card fee so look for that. Pay cash save a few bucks. I really felt bad for the server as I watched the three other tables that received their food but couldn't look the server in the eye and say it was good. But they did say it was good. We did too but I think the server knew. I knew. You could tell by looking at the moved around food on the plate. I really felt bad for the server. if our server reads this I hope you get to a better restaurant soon. You will do well. But look at the finished plate, the shuffled sandwich with the meat picked over and ask or the shrimp app with 4 shrimp left on then ask...did you not like the shrimp? How was your sandwich? I would have told him. Still I think he knew. Bless you.

This nostalgic diner offers an array of classic Southern dishes alongside hearty breakfast options, making it a go-to spot for any meal at any hour. Great food. The portions were insane. Fun place and concept. You have to stand in line and they call you up when the seats are ready. It's 3 bar style seating areas where the waitress is in the center to serve everyone. Food came out fast and I was happy. Would definitely return on my next Nashville visit.

Classic Nashville Diner Vibes with a Bacon-Heavy Menu We were in Nashville for just a day and wanted that classic diner experience—this place was it! The atmosphere is charming and music-themed, with a nod to Sun Records. The menu offers fresh, homemade Southern classics at fair prices. The only downside: if you don’t eat pork, options are limited. Most dishes include bacon or sausage by default and aren’t easy to modify. We ended up swapping sausage for mushrooms in the breakfast burrito, and ordering the avocado toast. Both were delicious, and I’d recommend it. Overall, a great stop for a true Nashville feel, just be aware if you have dietary restrictions.
Basha H — Google review
Food was great and experience was great too! It came with a bit of a learning curve, lol, as it was our first time there — there was no line at 9am on a Saturday, and we walked in and were greeted and instructed to wait on “the wall”. We were the only ones on the wall when we had gotten there, and after a few minutes, a couple had finished and had gotten up, so we sat down in their space. After a few minutes seated, we were “educated” that you’re not to sit until they clear the counter and invite you to sit there — so just learn from us, lol. Our service and waitress was great!

If you’re looking for a great early morning breakfast spot in Nashville, Sun Diner is it! It has that classic old-school diner feel but with a fun, unique twist to the menu. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming — perfect for starting your day before Broadway gets busy. We ordered the banana blueberry pancakes, and they were amazing — perfectly fluffy with this incredible cinnamon butter syrup that took them over the top. The make-your-own omelet was to die for, packed with fresh ingredients and cooked just right. Coffee was excellent too — strong, smooth, and exactly what you want in a diner. The only downside is they don’t serve liquor, so no Bloody Marys in the morning. They do offer a few beers, but I’m not much of a beer person that early. Still, the food and service more than make up for it! There was no wait when we arrived early, but it was getting pretty crowded by the time we left, so I definitely recommend going early if you can. Overall, such a great spot — highly recommend stopping by for breakfast when you’re in Nashville! ☕🥞🍳

Traditional style American diner, in the centre of Nashville. Serves breakfast and lunch, with a Nineteen fifties vibe with matching decor, playing classic C&W songs. Food is served around three central counters, and was very tasty. Recommend the Chicken Waffles with maple syrup.Service was very friendly and efficient, with coffee refills provided without being asked for. Well worth a visit.

The pork belly breakfast tacos were delicious. The menu is small but on point. I did see a review that did mention limited meat options other than pork and I can confirm that is correct. But the pork belly is awesome! Service decor and food all five stars! The Johnny Cash museum is next door to boot

Party Fowl is a vibrant and lively establishment located in Downtown Nashville, offering a cool atmosphere, spicy fried chicken, craft beer, cocktails, and live music. This weekend brunch spot on 8th Avenue South is housed in an independent red building and specializes in various hot chicken dishes. The menu features items like Nashville hot chicken benedict, breakfast burritos served on Mexican beans, and hot chicken stuffed French toast.
Great food and staff! Fun environment. Ordered the Nashville Hot on my chicken, chicken and sides were great but it was wayyyy to spicy for me. The spiciest Nashville hot I've ever had. So keep that in mind. 10/10 we will come back. Buffalo flavor is amazing. The bacon jam with the pimento cheese AMAZING

We were hungry, hot and looking for some good hot chicken! Party Fowl checked off all the boxes. First off, $2 bubbly, great start. Service was excellent, good vibe and the food was delicious. Preferred this atmosphere vs the fast food type of Princes or Hattie B. Really good value for Nashville and the Gulch. Service was on point. I will definitely be back.

Party Fowl in Nashville is the ultimate destination for hot chicken lovers! The moment you walk in, the energy is electric—great music, a fun crowd, and a Southern-meets-modern vibe that sets the tone for a memorable meal. I tried their famous Nashville Hot Chicken and was blown away. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor—the heat level is customizable, so whether you’re a spice rookie or a heat chaser, there’s something for everyone. The brunch menu is also a must-try—especially the Hot Chicken and Stuffed French Toast which is a crazy but delicious combo of sweet and spicy. Their cocktail game is strong too; I had a local beer and one of their signature drinks, and both hit the spot. Portions are generous, service is friendly and fast, and the whole experience feels like a true Nashville original. Whether you’re a tourist looking for an authentic taste of Music City or a local craving serious flavor, Party Fowl delivers.

Holy I went in hungry after a pure sweat sauna session and good golly I LOVED the poutine. I don’t even like fried chicken or fried anything for that matter but the shoestring fries, the gravy, the chicken - I went mild but feel free to turn up the heat - and the melted cheese was perfection. Service was stellar. Great chill vibe.
Jinny R — Google review
My friends and I happened to be in the Nashville area so we decided we needed some Nashville Hot chicken. We loved it!! The Nashville Hot is pretty hot, though. I'm used to Louisiana cooking but this had the heat of something deliberately made to light you up. I'm a fan of that type of thing, in moderation. I ordered the boneless wings in HOT and my half chicken in medium. The medium was perfect for my enjoyment. The atmosphere is great. Not too loud, not too quiet, and the service was excellent. Chicken was cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese left a little to be desired but that's not what we came here for and I'm not deducting points for that at all because it was still good. The greens were really good as well. The ONLY reason I deducted a star is because the restroom was pretty nasty. I can understand when things get busy, maybe some housekeeping begins to suffer. They were just getting over the busy time that day, however, that restroom should absolutely be checked and cleaned more consistently. I am really glad my 7-year-old daughter didn't need to use the restroom there. One thing to note, their to-go containers leak. They are made of some type of recycled paper and the grease from the chicken soaks through pretty badly. Keep that in mind if you happen to put the containers on your lap or anywhere in your vehicle. Luckily, I had them in the ice chest in the back of my truck so no foul, other than having to rinse off some beers when we were back to the rental after sightseeing. All that being said, no one in our party of 5 had a complaint at all and we all mentioned how we would definitely return.

Visited party fowl after about 4 years and this location for the first time. Sadly the quality has dropped and isn’t the experience I had last time. They ran out of the half bird chicken so I had to get the spicy chicken sandwich which was relatively lightly seasoned and the Nashville hot sauce wasn’t applied generously. The chicken itself was tough, chewy and clumpy - not a flattened patty as described. Atmosphere was rather quiet and no music (live or otherwise) was playing. Overall felt like Hattie B’s delivers a more consistent experience overall.
Kaustubh M — Google review
1. Finally found a place that accurately advertises spicy food - that poultrygeist spice truly had a kick (doesn’t really taste great but is accurately spicy at least!) 2. The Nashville hot sauce is very flavorful. 3. I’m not a fan of fried chicken spots - but this chicken was moist, not thickly or insanely fried and breaded - just a light batter that was still soft. The biscuit honestly was nothing amazing, but the chicken was better than I expected.

You know every now and then you come across a place where you are like just “wow”! First off the host and our waiter “Skyler H” was on his game the second we walked in. He just made us feel so at home and has been the most attentive wait staff person I’ve experienced in a long time. Food: Hot Chicken and Beignets, Hot Chicken Quesadilla, some Boozy slushies, and a banana pudding. I have no comparison to others hot chicken, but if they all are as juicy with the right amount of spice like theirs was, then I’m hooked! All was so worth trip across town!!!

Rolf and Daughters is a trendy, industrial-chic restaurant located in Nashville's Germantown neighborhood. The establishment offers a dynamic dining experience with its clever New American dishes, communal tables, and inventive cocktails. Housed in a historic building with rustic decor featuring wood paneling and bare lightbulbs, the restaurant exudes a contemporary vibe. The menu showcases an array of shareable small plates, comforting pasta dishes, and rustic main courses.
Great place, definitely a Nashville staple now. Really good food, good customer service and great cocktails. The espresso Martini is actually pretty tasty. Highly recommend reservations if you're going to go here, especially on a weekend. Some of the tables are shared seating, so just be aware of that in advance. Definitely recommend!

Great atmosphere in this trendy modern Italian spot. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes were unique and beautiful. Some of them had a tendency to lose the main ingredient a little bit (the tuna and the beef tartare.) But the overall experience was good. A great drink selection, and unique specialty cocktails. Definitely a place I would suggest to others.

Great spot!! Our bartender/ waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made us feel right at home. Bartending here for 3 years, he knew the menu well, and we had his recommendations. After walking 11 miles in downtown Nashville, I had a beer, while my wife had an Amalfi Coast mocktail. Both were tasty and refreshing. We started with the tomato appetizer with prosciutto, which was full of flavor. We then had the Rigatoni and Agnolotti meals, both tasty. The Rigatoni was a better portion, and the Agnolotti had a more decent flavor, even though the portion size, we believe, was small. To finish up, we had that raspberry sorbet with honey, tart but great! It was a great atmosphere, and even though it was backed up at 5 p.m. (it's best to get a reservation for a table), we were seated promptly. The restaurant was full by 5:45 p.m.! We walked, and street parking is available, but it could be a problem if it's busy. If you're in Germantown, don't miss this treat. I'm glad my wife found it.

Hands down one of the BEST meals I've had in a while! The server took the time to mark my menu with what was gf. Mostly everything except the pasta and obvious bread dishes. Everyone agreed my pork chop was the best entree at the table. The dessert was also decided that I had the best one. (Strawberry sherbet with Pana cotta)

Local here! First time trying out this restaurant after hearing about it constantly. My husband and I are big foodies and have tried some of the most hyped places in town. This place hands down was amazing and has topped a lot of experiences for us on all accounts. Not only was every menu unique, creative, and delicious but the service was the best I have experienced in the city (and we sat at the bar). Logan took the time to course out everything, kept our area extremely tidy, kept all drinks full, and made thoughtful recommendations. No detail was spared! The pricing is conservative for the level of service and food you get from start to finish. 1000/10! Menu rotates for new creations and we will certainly be back! Loved it all!

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a popular casual chain known for its diverse breakfast options and brunch sandwiches. The cafe also serves the Stans Mardi Gras omelet, filled with crawfish, shrimp, red peppers, and andouille sausage.
Friendly and welcoming place with happy staff. Food is fresh but comes out swiftly, so you can get fed and go if you need to. Equally, we spent some unhurried time and they were cool with that too. Be aware that the portions are generously substantial. It’s not often that I can’t finish it, but this place achieved it even though it was all temptingly delicious! Some really different options on the menu too.

We visited this breakfast spot on our first morning in Nashville - we loved it so much that we came back every morning of our visit! The servers were quick, friendly and genuinely happy to serve you. There were plenty of food options (not always a good sign), But everything we had was well cooked and delicious. The portion sizes were very large! Getting eggs and bacon on the side of your pancake stack seemed excessive (like having two breakfasts!) - we didn’t really need to eat again for the rest of the day! Would really recommend - just a shame it’s so far away that we won’t be able to visit again!

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here this morning, served by an absolutely delightful server, Becca. I ordered the BLT with avo and a bloody mary, while my friend opted for the Bourbon Street pancakes which were equally delicious. What stood out to us though was the service. Thanks again for a great expereince, we'll definitely be back!

This was my very first breakfast in Nashville, and my first Southern breakfast – and it absolutely did not disappoint. I wasn’t too hungry early in the morning, so Patrick kindly suggested a lighter, custom option of buttermilk pancakes with fresh fruit, which was perfect. Later that day, I couldn’t resist coming back for a “real” Southern experience. Patrick recommended the biscuits & sausage gravy with city grits and bacon - Incredible. No regrets about having two breakfasts here in one day. I’d have gone back for a third if I could. Patrick’s recommendations and friendly service made the experience even better. Highly recommend.

Our group of 3 came on a Saturday morning. We got on the waitlist so we were able to get in really fast. Leah was our server and she was so quick and kind. Our group split the chicken and waffles and the cinnamon roll french toast. The french toast was soooo delicious! I wish I could eat twice as much of it. The chicken and waffles were pretty good but the chicken was a little dry. I highly recommend visiting Another Broken Egg Cafe and sit in Leah's section!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give more than five stars, I would — mostly for The Wonderful Patrick (yes, that’s how he introduced himself, and he lived up to the title). He’s got that perfect mix of redneck charm and comedic timing — the kind of server who makes you feel like you’re both at brunch and in a stand-up show. The food? Absolute perfection. The gluten-free pancakes were so good I briefly forgot gluten even existed. Everything came out hot, fast, and just the way we wanted. f you go, do yourself a favor and sit in Patrick’s section. You’ll get breakfast, entertainment, and southern hospitality all rolled into one. Five stars for the food — and five more for The Wonderful Patrick.

This cafe is a bit on the upscale side with a modern feel. No frills, but clean and sleek. I got the impression that it's popular for business lunches. They have a designated parking lot just across the street, plenty of seating, welcoming staff and a bar area. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time despite arriving during the lunch rush. All the ingredients on the burger were fresh and the meat had a wonderful charcoal grill flavor without being dry or overtaken by condiments. The bun was soft and held up to the last bite. The bread & butter pickles were thick and gave just a hint of sweetness. 10/10 recommend.

The food was outstanding! I had the onion soup which was easily the best thing I have eaten on our trip and the homemade chicken sausage, which was both sweet and spicy and just the right amount of flavor and my friend had the mushroom frittata, cinnamon beignets, and a mixed green salad. It was all wonderful! The service was also quick! Easily a 5 star establishment, 5+ really! Recommend to foodies and travelers!

Adorable coffee shop with a light selection of food and nice variety of coffees. The atmosphere was warm and very spread out with ample seating. The art was cute and souvenirs were nice. We enjoyed the avocado toast, house salad, smash burger, and kid’s burger. The amount of fries was a bit disappointing though and the service was mid. Overall we would visit again.

Stopped in for lunch and everything was delicious. I had the biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs and potatoes, plus a side of bacon. The gravy had a kick to it that I absolutely loved, and the bacon was cooked perfectly—crispy but not burnt. I also grabbed an iced chai tea latte to go, and it was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Great food, fast service, and a fun vibe. Don’t miss out on this super cute spot. Bring your laptop, get some work done, and enjoy some quality people-watching while you’re at it.

As an out of towner we really just wanted good food and coffee without the hustle and bustle. Picked the perfect spot! Free 1 hour parking just across the street. My avocado toast was some of the best I have ever had and so was my latte! The hubby had a steak burrito and loved it. Zero wait, quick and kind service. 10/10 will go back!

What happened to this place??? This was always a favorite among the locals. Stopped in for breakfast and was HUGELY disappointed. Bacon was limp and greasy. Biscuit looked frozen, cooked yesterday, and reheated today. Completely inedible. $40 for two to eat diner food. Stick to the coffee and find your food elsewhere.

Found on Google while visiting for the weekend and decided to give it a shot. Casual breakfast and brunch spot with a good amount of indoor seating and some outdoor too. I got a simple bagel sandwich and it was fine. Pretty bland but nothing bad. I could just add salt and pepper myself but wasn’t too hungry so ate half of it. Overall no real complaints, was exactly what I expected. Decent spot to grab a quick bite and chill for a bit.

SAUSAGE! fido is known for incredible coffee and a wonderful bakery selection. You can’t go wrong with those pop tarts or cinnamon roll by the way. Today I had a spinach feta braid, which was excellent. but the breakfast plate with the eggs (which were cooked to perfection) the home fries, which were delicious and addicting was complemented by sausage patties, which are the stuff of which dreams are made. The flavor, the portion…. I’m telling you grab a side of sausage patties with whatever you order. :)

Burger Up is a popular spot in the 12 South neighborhood of Nashville, known for its inventive burgers made with locally sourced patties. The restaurant prides itself on thoughtful consumption and sustainability, sourcing ingredients from local sustainable farms. The menu features a variety of burger options beyond beef, as well as starters like fried oysters and seasonal cheese plates. In addition to their focus on quality ingredients, Burger Up offers an easy take-out process for those looking to enjoy their delicious burgers on the go.
Very charming burger spot. Great atmosphere and very upbeat. The food cane out fast. The burgers are top-notch. The ketup and mustard condiments are so good! Found out they are made in-house and just had to buy them both. I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back.

This is a great casual, family friendly burger spot. First off, the price point is great for the quantity of the food, with huge burgers plates overflowing with french fries. Additionally, Dan was a great server who was very attentive, with good recommendations and clear descriptions. The best part: the food. The burgers are huge, good quality meat, and very flavorful. The truffle fries are addicting, and the house made ketchup is the perfect combination. We found our new favorite burger spot!

The food is great, I had The Bryd and my husband had the Double Up Burger. Both were excellent. We really liked the house made ketchup.

I ordered Burger Up via Uber Eats and was happily pleased with my dinner! I got a traditional burger that was really delicious and had lots of flavor. I also got the crispy chicken bites, which were my favorite by far. They had incredible flavor and I wish I had had more of them to save for later. I also tried the Mac and cheese bites, which were good, but the sauce that came with them was better. Looking forward to getting that chicken again soon!

We had a great meal here! We had the Classic Burger and The Byrd and both were delicious. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was quick to come out.

Burger Up Atmosphere (4 stars): This place is located in the trendy district of 12 South. Lots of large glass windows gives it a very open feeling. Has a cozy, pub vibe with the darker walls and wood accents. French Onion Burger (5 stars): I ordered it medium and it was cooked to perfection. The burger was very juicy and flavorful. I held the aioli so no comment on that. I ordered the regular fries and they were the natural cut with skin. Troyathalon Burger (3 stars): For a veggie burger this was very crunchy and dry. It has the consistency of a falafel. The cheese was not melted and the bottom bun was a bit cold. Overall lacked flavor. We upgraded to sweet potato fries. They were thick cut and ok. Staff (4.5 stars): Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Our server did disappear for about 10 minutes when we were ready to order but took our order right away and no issues after. Bonus: They do have a full bar!

Burger Up is a fantastic restaurant located on 12 South, surrounded by a great area with plenty of things to do. The happy hour deals offer some excellent prices on appetizers and drinks. Although not on the happy hour menu I ordered a white sangria that was good, though not the best I've had. The burgers, however, were phenomenal and worth a visit on their own. While I found the regular fries tastier than the sweet potato fries, I regret not trying the truffle fries. The honey mustard and ketchup sauces were unique and stored in Burger Up glass bottles, possibly made in-house. Overall, I highly recommend Burger Up for their delicious burgers and excellent location

We have gone to Burger Up for probably six years or so as a family. I’d say it’s one of the best restaurants in Nashville. -Consistent food and service. I’ve never had a bad experience or poor quality food; ever. -The decor is modern but also comfortable and warm; it’s a nice balance. -Their prices are VERY reasonable honestly, especially for Nashville. I love this place 🙂 Looking forward to going back as much as possible!

Bavarian Bierhaus offers a taste of Germany in Nashville, with its Oktoberfest-inspired space and authentic German experience. The restaurant features big shared tables, live music, and an outdoor Biergarten designed to resemble a Munich Bierhall. Owned by a group of friends, it aims to replicate the massive beer halls of Germany. Visitors can enjoy traditional German food and a wide selection of beers while experiencing the lively atmosphere.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Taste of Bavaria in Nashville! We had such an incredible experience at Bavarian Bierhaus! The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff who made us feel truly welcomed. The beer selection is outstanding. I really enjoy a quality draft beer, especially when it's imported, and they absolutely know what they’re doing here. Every sip was perfect. As for the food—wow. We tried the goulash, sausages, pork shank, and the giant pretzel, and everything was absolutely delicious. Hearty, flavorful, and made with clear attention to tradition and quality. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, great beer, and an authentic German experience right in Nashville! 🍺🥨🇩🇪

Fun atmosphere, but food and drink are pretty pricey, especially for a suburban mall location. The space is very well done and our server was great, but the lack of paper menus really detracts from the authentic feel the owners are going for. At this price point, you should provide paper menus without asking. Flavors were mostly on point, but portions were small for the price. Dim lighting until bright lights were turned on promptly at closing time like a bar, which might be more understandable if closing time weren’t so early. Not very representative of German hospitality in my experience. Several food items in the shop area were past their expiration date. German food and restaurants are rare in the area, so while the novelty is fun, the overall experience and value just don’t quite hit the mark.

Both the Goulash Soup and Onion Soup were amazing 🤩 I would 100% recommend ordering them as starters! The restaurant is designed to resemble a German beer hall and showcases Bavarian culture. Though do not expect something completely alike to authentic German food. At the end of the day, it is an American restaurant, after all.
Marie W — Google review
This place is a classic German style bier hall. You will find all your German favorites in the menu and everything tastes housemade. One of the best German potato salads I've ever had. We all enjoyed the schnitzel and cabbage as well. The ambiance is delightful. We enjoyed seeing the unique steins, we even saw a man drinking out of one that was in the shape is BB-8. We brought our teen son here and it felt family friendly even though there was some animated beer drinking. I feel like they have a beer garden experience that is balanced for kids and adults. The servers were so sweet and attentive and seemed to love their jobs. They looked great in their traditional outfits.

We went during lunch on a Wednesday. They were very empty. Our waitress was very nice. We lived in Germany for 3 years and was impressed with the German food we had. It was good to find/have some German beer we couldn't find in stores. My only complaint is the food prices. There is no reason 2 sausages and a pretzel should cost $23 and one sausage on a roll with a side of fries was $20. I don't know if we would return for that reason alone.
Vanessa C — Google review
This was worth the stop. This restaurant located at the mall was definitely worth stopping. The beer was cold and refreshing, the atmosphere was great and service was good. We ordered the giant pretzel with beer cheese. Both on point and the vegetarian sausage, I know but still delicious. We ordered the only dark German beer on the menu and it was delicious. We happened to stop in while there was live music as well. A couple who played an eclectic number of instruments. Be sure to stop in if you are in the area. The beer hall style of seating could have you making new friends.

Nice place not to crowded. We got a good seat close to the stage. Although the musicians were just finishing up when we got there. We were able to listen to about 3 songs. The food wasn't bad either. The black forest cake was delicious.

Nestled just across the Cumberland River from Downtown Nashville, Sky Blue Cafe is a vibrant diner that captures the essence of local flavor. This charming spot is known for its delightful breakfast and dinner offerings, featuring an array of scrumptious baked goods and locally sourced coffee. The menu boasts unique dishes like the indulgent Stuffed French Toast Pancakes—an impressive combination of French toast and pancakes filled with options ranging from sweet peanut butter and jelly to savory eggs, cheese, and bacon.
Super cute, neighborhood cafe. We actually stopped here just for coffee but ended up eating here because the menu looked amazing. Then came back 2 days later! Not much seating available so it gets busy and no waiting area so you'll have to wait outside if your table isn't ready yet. I also think your entire group has to be present to be seated. Had both bowls, chicken and biscuits, Brie French toast. Amaretto latte. Side of their home made sausage gravy. Everything was delicious! I'm not a French toast person because usually they're too big and too much but this dish was absolutely perfect! Tiny pieces of toast (just enough) and so delicious. Fruit was fresh.

I had a really good, quick breakfast at Sky Blue Cafe. It is a great neighborhood spot that has 10-12 tables inside and lots of small town charm. The first time I tried to go there, there was a large crowd out front waiting for tables - no waiting inside because there isn’t enough room. I was very happy that I was able to get a table on my second attempt as it wasn’t as crowded. I got a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and a side of home fries. I wish the home fries were a little bit crispier, but the food was good overall. I also enjoyed my iced latte too.

Butchertown Hall is a stylish eatery located in the Germantown neighborhood of Nashville, near historic Morgan Park. It offers wood-fired, smoked American and Tex-Mex cuisine along with a variety of brews and cocktails. The restaurant's concept is inspired by Central Texas meat market culture and late 19th-century butcher shops in Nashville, resulting in a blend of historically-inspired yet modern flavors. The menu features delicious barbecue, particularly the brisket.
A bit pricey, but worth it. Wow, the brisket was crazy amazing…full of flavor and juice. We did have to wait and it was a Tuesday night! So come with reservations! And I also loved the ambiance. It was very stylish, yet comfortable and low-key. We would definitely return.

Hall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best brunch of our entire trip! We had the most incredible experience at Butchertown Hall in Germantown, TN. I ordered the steak & eggs with a side of Brussels sprouts perfectly cooked, packed with flavor. Our friends went for the brisket sandwiches, and WOW… mind-blowing good! Tender, smoky, and everything you could possibly want in the perfect brisket sandwich. Noah, Aaron, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel like special guests. The service matched the quality of the food ,flawless. I’ll be recommending this spot to everyone visiting Nashville. Tip: Don’t leave without trying their homemade biscuits. Trust me, it’s a must-do for Sunday brunch! The shaved Mexican street corn is fire. By far our favorite food on our wedding trip.

Buchertown Hall truly impressed us with its warm hospitality and mouthwatering menu. Despite arriving without a reservation, the staff graciously seated us at a table available for an hour and a half—more than enough time to savor a memorable dinner. The highlight? Their steaks and bone marrow dishes were absolutely divine—rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a testament to the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail. What elevated the evening even further was our waitress. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, she made us feel right at home and ensured our experience was seamless from start to finish. Between the incredible food and the top-notch service, Buchertown Hall has earned a spot on our must-return list. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a standout dining experience in Nashville.

Had the chorizo queso, New York Strip, and Wagyu burger. Amazing! Steak was as big as my hand and came with a spicy salad and more than enough fries. Super delicious! Chorizo queso was some of the best queso I’ve ever had w/ plenty of chips. Boyfriend said burger was just as good. We had the Buck and Foxglove as drinks - pretty good as well. Come hungry - can be pricey, but well worth it. Parking lot is smaller, but street parking is available as well. We went at 5-6pm on a Saturday and still had plenty of spots open when we came and left. Service was also super good, had our stuff out at a relatively fast pace. We will be back!

Must try!!!! When you know there’s a waiting line, they must be good! This is a small mom and pop cafe with real southern hospitality. We waited 20 minutes for our table. Seated and greeted right away. We ordered the lumber jack, hot off the griddle, and the best biscuits. Everything came out hot and fresh quickly. Huge portions and them yummy biscuits were light and fluffy. Great food and service, couldn’t ask for anything more!!!!

This place is packed! You cannot make a reservation, but when you get there, give your name and phone number and you'd be placed in line. When I got there on a late morning Sunday, I was told the wait was about 45 minutes. That's fine, there's a brewery next door I can wait at! It turned out to be quicker than 45. What's nice about the app that they use for this is that you're able to check where in line you are, so you know when you're almost called. I got the half order of the ultimate platter, which is 1 biscuit with country and sausage gravy topped with bacon, ham, cheese and 2 eggs. I should've gotten the full order. I underestimated myself. The food tasted great and the staff was friendly. Was this a facade? I don't know. I waited close to 45 minutes from the time I ordered until my food arrived. That is **not** normal. I did not order something ridiculous that required them to abandon everything and go to the grocery store and back to make it. I ordered something straight out of the menu! I thought perhaps they misplaced my order, so I checked if that was normal to wait this long and they said yeah we get busy on the weekend. Okaaaay. But other people were getting their order in 10-15 minutes. I hate playing that card, but I can't help but wondered if the fact that I'm of a different shade from the clienteles here mattered.

There aren’t many traditional diners in Nashville, but this one is truly the best. The staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell that they are truly a family. I’ve gone here hung over and I’ve gone here completely sober and but regardless, the food is exactly what I’ve needed. They’ve got incredible biscuits with country gravy, and then all of your other standard diner fair which really hits the spot. It can get really busy on weekend mornings, but the weight never seems to be too unbearably long. They have a drive-through which doesn’t make sense to me and I haven’t used it, but it is there. Not sure if it’s still in operation.

The Catbird Seat is an upscale dining destination in Nashville, offering a unique and interactive experience for diners. The restaurant features a U-shaped open kitchen where 22 bar seats allow guests to observe the culinary team at work. The ever-changing tasting menu showcases intricate small plates crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients, ensuring a dynamic and surprising dining experience.
Not enough stars, the chefs are artists with food. It's a work of art, don't want to eat it. Farm to table, with the freshest ingredients. I recommend this place and make reservations. Also pair it with the wine menu or not they have cocktails. The wine steward was so sweet, showed each bottle and region it is from. Each dish is explained by the chef. This is the top three of my tasting menu experiences. I can't say enough about the people or the experience you just have to take my word.

With almost $600 for 2 people, i expect way more for tonight! My husband has shellfish allergy but all his substitutes were “vegetables” 🥲. I personally don’t feel like chef was trying to put much effort to accommodate shellfish allergy customers at all. We feel like they don’t respect our money. Even after my husband tried to ask if they could substitute with other types of meat. The answer was “that’s how we do it” With almost a month we made a reservation and chose our special day to celebrate. (Before valentine) We’re really disappointed ☹️ Not to mention that after the whole experience we only have 1 tiny main course (pork was very chewy) that left us still hungry. The Indian chef was (perhaps) care enough to ask me how was it. After i gave him my honest answer that it’s too tough for me. Then they just did nothing and ignored all of our opinions. I have no idea what’s wrong with everything tonight but it was definitely not worth our money. We’ll never go back and would never recommend this place for our friends.

If you are searching for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary in Nashville, this restaurant should be at the very top of your list. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with an elegant yet understated atmosphere—modern design softened with warm lighting and impeccable attention to detail. The service is nothing short of world-class: attentive without being intrusive, with staff who are not only knowledgeable about the menu but also passionate about food and wine pairings. Every course feels like a carefully composed piece of art. The flavors are layered, balanced, and surprising—each dish tells a story. Ingredients are clearly sourced with the highest standards, and the chef’s creativity shines through in every bite. From delicate starters to beautifully plated mains and desserts that rival fine patisserie, the consistency of excellence is remarkable. Yes, the price is high, but it reflects the caliber of the experience. This isn’t just a dinner—it’s an immersion into culinary craftsmanship that could easily stand alongside Michelin-starred establishments in larger cities. Nashville has many great restaurants, but this one feels like it is on the verge of setting a new standard for fine dining in the city.

Was expecting a lot given all the glowing reviews, but was a tiny bit disappointed in the food. Great service and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Dishes were very creative and original with a lot of thought put into the creation however I found that the flavors for a couple of the dishes were unbalanced, either way too salty or too acidic. One other thing I didn't like about the menu was they had a pork dish which was served much less cooked than I'm used to. I appreciate that it is their menu but when it comes to health they should of asked a preference of doneness. I asked them to make it more cooked and they did but it was still too raw for me and my fellow diners. All in all, it fell slightly short of my expectations especially given price point they are trying to justify.

My best friend, my sister from another mother, and I had the pleasure of dining in a beautiful establishment to celebrate a birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! It felt like everything you would expect from a Michelin-star restaurant. The food was prepared to absolute perfection in my humble opinion, and the wine pairing complemented it beautifully—it was just as exquisite. The evening was elegant, the atmosphere enchanting, and every bite was delicious. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience that left us both grateful and excited to return.
Gloria M — Google review
Truly a spectacular experience. Enjoyed the early seating and had many amazing bites. It does get a little loud to hear the full description of the dish but who cares. The care and skill put into each course is transparent and the meal is worth it. The wine and NA pairings are a must.
Aaron E — Google review
I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this place. The staff was very gracious and by far the best part of the meal. For the price of the meal and drinks I think the decor was lacking. The bathroom had a candle clearly from target which did not lend to a high end exclusive vibe. The food was aesthetically beautiful but overtly salted for my taste. There were some great dishes but many of them were overpowered by the flavor of a single ingredient. I wish I could have tasted more of the nuances of each dish. I’m no chef so maybe it’s just me but compared to other tasting menus and fine dining experiences this meal left me disappointed.
Jennifer B — Google review
The food here is absolutely incredible! The ambiance is fabulous! Then getting to watch every step of them preparing your food and create the pure edible art work they make on your plate is spectacular. I would go back to Nashville just to eat here. The symphony of flavors on the plates and the progression of flavor throughout the evening is extremely well thought out and creates absolute perfection. I highly recommend The Catbird Seat. It's better than Michelin Star restaurants I've been to in the past. Incredibly wonderful food!

My husband and I had reservations and were celebrating our 1 year anniversary here on a Monday. The restaurant was pretty empty but the atmosphere was very nice! The team was really warm and inviting! Every person we encountered was super gracious and friendly! They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne and sparklers for our celebration which was a super sweet touch. We started with their happy hour drinks and appetizers and MAN they did not disappoint. The appetizers which we demolished in mere minutes, got us super excited to try the entrees. Sadly the entrees didn’t live up to our excitement from the apps. All of the food was hot and fresh, but the entrees and sides just lacked in flavor. Don’t get me wrong, they were good and the presentation was top tier. But it was just good. For the prices you pay, you’d expect some exceptional food. My husband and I are foodies so we tried a number of different options. Ticket was almost $700 - which we were more than happy to pay. Our suggestion would be to stop in for a happy hour and enjoy some discounted drinks and those yummy apps! The tuna tartare tacos, truffle fries, Philly egg rolls and Calmari were delish! The lobster linguine was alright and same with the braised short rib.

Certainly! Here's a five-star review for STK Nashville highlighting Mandy and Brittany: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an exceptional dining experience at STK Nashville, and I can't praise Mandy and Brittany enough! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and taken care of. Mandy's attentive service and expert recommendations truly enhanced our meal, and Brittany's friendly and professional attitude made the evening even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively and stylish, perfect for a memorable night out. The food was outstanding—delicious steaks and creative sides that exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend STK Nashville, and especially want to thank Mandy and Brittany for their outstanding service. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Visited STK recently and while the ambiance and nightlife vibe were definitely on point. Consisted of dim lighting, trendy decor, and upbeat music.. it’s just the food didn’t quite justify the high price tag. Our waiter was genuinely sweet and attentive, which made the experience more pleasant. However, the portions were underwhelming and the flavor of the food just didn’t live up to expectations, especially given how much we paid. It’s clear you’re paying more for the atmosphere than the meal itself. Nice place to check out once, if you're into the scene, but I wouldn’t return based on the taste-to-price ratio.

The food was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend the wagyu flat iron with truffle butter. The texture was amazing and flavor was insane. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Todd was very attentive and made excellent suggestions. The atmosphere is very lively so if you are wanting a quiet intimate dinner this is not the place. If you want a beautiful and energetic atmosphere with delicious food this is a great option.

Such a great experience! I was hesitant at first when my husband set us a reservation, but left feeling so pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible, the service was unmatched, the music and ambience was fun and clubby and yet still classy, and the overall experience was a 10/10. Multiple staff members checked on us, but not in an annoying way. We were just all-around so pleased!! Incredible experience, we WILL be back’ Mandy was also our server, and we absolutely ADORED her. When we come back, we will be asking for her again! She knew the restaurant and all the options front to back, she never forgot about us, and she was always so bubbly and upbeat despite being so busy. Thank you, Mandy!!!

Mandy was the sweetest server! Explained the menu so well and checked in often and made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the crab cake with lobster mac and cheese, both AMAZING. My husband tried the Australian wagu steak with lobster, best he’s ever had.

This is an updated review after our experience earlier in August. After writing my previous review, Joey the GM reached out to me and invited my husband and me to be special guests of his and the Chef. So we accepted their offer and celebrated my birthday on Saturday. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated wonderfully. The table, the birthday card, Brittany, our server, and Joey were absolutely amazing. The Chef's three-course meal was absolutely wonderful. They made my birthday a very special occasion, including the fireworks with our dessert. I can't thank them enough for making it right and inviting us to be their special guests. Thank you, Joey and Brittany. We will definitely be back and will ask for you personally. Very blessed and grateful for a wonderful night. I have never been so disappointed. This was our 36th wedding anniversary dinner and I was so looking forward to this night all week. The atmosphere was loud, the server rushed us the whole night. The service was horrible, we ordered the octopus and wagyu dumplings for appetizers, the octopus was tough and chewy. The dumplings were sub-par. Then we ordered the Tomahawk steak medium rare, it was cold and raw, after spending $480, I left in tears and was so upset and hungry. What a huge disappointment to say the least. I will never go back, or recommend this place.

Nestled in the charming Historic Edgefield neighborhood, Yeast Nashville is a delightful bakery that specializes in Tex-Czech kolaches. This rustic spot offers a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy breakfast and brunch alongside freshly brewed coffee and tea. Known as Nashville's 'Home of Kolaches,' Yeast Nashville serves up an array of delicious yeast-based pastries filled with fruit, poppy seeds, or cheese.
Yeast Nashville is a hidden gem! It’s a Czech-style bakery and café that specializes in kolaches, and they do them right. I tried the jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache savory, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. I also had the Sweet Cream Cheese Kolache, which was rich, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. The pricing is extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion size. The staff were kind, patient, and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. Whether you’re a first-timer or a kolache connoisseur, this place is definitely worth the stop. I’ll be back for sure!
Jason P — Google review
Got two catering boxes from here - tried bits of the sausage / cheese / jalapeno kolache, apple kolache, crustless quiche, banana pudding, and cinnamon roll. Everything was okay, nothing spectacular I'd say. I don't know if eating it a few hours after I picked up the food made a difference. I had a matcha latte as well and it's made with pre-made sugary powder, very little matcha flavor. Pricing is okay I guess, easy to book online and pick up! Has a parking lot.
Andrea W — Google review
Like other bakeries in the area this was recommended as a fresh pastry bakery with good quality products I guess Monday isn’t their best day. I stopped in during my run this morning and settled on the cinnamon apple kolache. With a name like “yeasted” I expected to get a yeasted experience. Soft, tender, slightly chewy, moist pastry. Unfortunately that wasn’t was i experienced. The dough was dry and almost styrofoam textured and far from what I’d want in a kolache or yeasted product. The cinnamon apple filling was decent but I had to basically pull off the surrounding dough and just eat the middle because the outside was so dry. Not sure what happened if today was an off day or what but I can say this wasn’t a good experience or one that would have me going back or recommending them to anyone. With that said I appreciate the fact they offer to warm them up for you but hot dense dry pastries are…… no enjoyable.
Matthew — Google review
Kolaches (meat and sweet) are good. On the other hand, their cinnamon rolls are not good. I’ve tried them twice and both times very dry. Coffee drinks are on point. Service is kind of lacking—seems like they’d rather be anywhere else other than there.
Miranda K — Google review
The food here was delicious. The Kolaches and bread pudding were a real treat. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. The small dining area was adequate for a business that is mostly a carry out food service. We really enjoyed the food and will return next time we are in the area. I highly recommend trying Yeast Nashville for a delicious baked treat!
Dean C — Google review
Consider me unimpressed. The quiche was watery with barely any mushroom and spinach to speak of. To make matters worse, despite being “heated up”, it was cold. The havarti kolasch was good but nothing special. Especially since it’s only half a sausage in it. Not sure what all the hype is about but this was a big disappointment on my Nashville foodie adventure
Sophia W — Google review
If you love kolaches, this may be the best you'll ever have. Located in the east part of Nashville, they bake all different kinds of kolaches every morning they are open. The jalapeno and cheddar kolache was great, but the sweet cream cheese one was OUT OF THIS WORLD! They warm it up for you and wow- the taste, the texture. It was SO GOOD! I savored every bite and that thing was big too!
Austin G — Google review
I did not enjoy the kolache, not to say the other items aren’t good. But based on what I ordered I was not a fan, the texture and taste was just odd for my preference. The dough was grainy, the meat was bland and the cheese… not sure it was even some there. It was a bit on the dryer side. Go in the morning for freshness, they will keep what they make all morning until they close. So I am glad I didn’t get it the first time I walked in closer to 11am. The wait is not the best, but it is one person who is taking orders and making coffee so don’t expect a quick in and out experience.

The Optimist is a trendy dining spot located in a brick-lined eatery, offering a variety of oysters, seafood, and meat plates alongside cocktails and an extensive wine selection. Situated in a former warehouse that once housed the Turner, Day & Woolworth Ax Handle Company, this restaurant has become a prominent feature on Adams Street. Chef Ford Fry's second location of the popular Atlanta establishment boasts high-quality ingredients and exceptional hospitality.
We came in about an hour and a half before closing, and the service was nothing short of AMAZING. Caleb welcomed us right away and made us feel like we were dining with a friend. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the redfish, ceviche, wood grilled oysters and, yellowfin tuna…all delicious! We’ve dined at The Optimist before and always loved the food and service, but this visit was on another level. Caleb’s attentiveness, energy, and genuine hospitality truly elevated the night. The food was outstanding, but Caleb made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend asking for him if you want your evening to feel extra special.

Lovely quiet patio and friendly service. The chicken dish was the absolute highlight—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and great for sharing. Fresh oysters, excellent squash side, and unforgettable desserts (especially the coconut pie) made for a fantastic meal. We’ll be back!

This restaurant is super cute with such a relaxing ambience. The oysters were 10/10, and they had a great selection. We also had deviled eggs which were good. I ordered the flounder which was delicious, but still had a few bones even after our server filleted it. My absolute favorite thing I ate was the roasted mushrooms, I could not get enough of those! Highly recommend!

Met a friend here for dinner and my goodness! It did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in I fell in love with the space. It was calm and quiet. The server was well versed on the menu and made excellent recommendations. We ordered oysters, ricotta toast for appetizers. The ricotta toast was such a good pick! For dinner we shared the whole flounder, roasted mushrooms and summer squash. We didn't have room for any dessert but I am not mad about that. Highly recommend!

What a special evening! Outstanding food, friendly staff. The food was excellent. I had a delicious Heirloom Tomato as an appetizer. Trust me you will love it! I wanted the whole Flounder but was prepared with lemon #allergygirl can’t have citrus. Not worries they prepared it perfectly without a hint of lemon. The fish is deboned at your table which was a treat to watch. To go with my fish I ordered mushrooms. Proper fries and the zucchini. The food is served family style so order a few dishes to share.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on our honeymoon, and it was the best meal we ever had! The service was incredible and the chef was so generous! Everyone made our honeymoon celebration feel so special. We got to sit right in front of the chef and watch them prepare meals. We had oysters, mussels, caviar, swordfish (the best fish I've ever had) mushrooms and delicious cocktails. Seriously - get the swordfish...it's amazing. You can't go wrong! I want to thank the chef and incredibly lovely staff for making our honeymoon so special. We've never been treated like that before, and it's such a dinner to remember.

My wife and I ate here on the last night of our honeymoon and it was the perfect way to cap it off. The staff instantly made us feel so welcome and celebrated, and we had such a good time with our waitress. The food was awesome, we had a selection of oysters, the deviled eggs, the amberjack, the charred endive, proper chips, roast chicken, and the swordfish. We loved all of it, as well as our drinks. We will certainly look into coming back next time we are in Nashville!

Breakfast restaurant
Big Bad Breakfast in Nashville, owned by the award-winning Chef John Currence, is a must-visit spot for breakfast and brunch. The menu offers a wide range of options from lighter fare like oatmeal and avocado toast to heartier dishes such as Low Country Skillet and Huevos Rancheros Grit Bowl. The restaurant also serves up mouth-watering lunch options.
My husband and I stopped in for breakfast/lunch during our first time to Nashville. We wanted something off the beaten path and BBB didn't disappoint. Austin was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. He made us feel right at home and recommended some incredible dishes. My husband had the Screamin Demon and I had the Redneck Benny. Both were cooked to perfection! We loved this place so much, that we went back the next morning too. Of course, we asked for Austin's section and he was just as personable the next day and remembered us from the day before. My husband had the Screamin Demon again and I had Austin's recommended Mother of all Biscuits. Both were delicious again. We will definitely go here again when we visit Nashville! HIGHLY recommend!
Sarah M — Google review
The Service here is excellent! Ashley was sweet, helpful and attentive without overdoing it. I ordered flapjacks with added pecan and bacon crumbles. My husband ordered eggs, spices bacon with BBB'S original grits and white bread. My foster brother ordered juevos rancheros specialty grits bowl. We also ordered 3 coffees. The total was $40.27 and it was all very delicious.
NaNa R — Google review
First visit... had been trying to get there for a while. The hour-long waitlist set our expectations high. The first thing that caught my eye was the BBB signature roast coffee... very good offering from Royal Cup. The Fried Oyster Scramble did not disappoint at all... a blend of common flavors that made it a uniquely flavorful dish! The only way to make it better is to include one of the phenomenal biscuits - which SHOULD accompany all dishes! The Creole Omelette was very good but you MUST put the sauce on it to be so; it's rather disappointing without it. The Breakfast Plate came with runny, slightly undercooked grits. Again the biscuit was the standout. Making all matters worse, it must have been our server's first morning on the job. Saving all the details, the young lady was totally inept, start to finish, possibly bringing greater scrutiny to the entire experience. On the strength of the FOS, I will go back to try other offerings, hoping that better is to be had.

Finally found a place here that lives up to southern flavors. Service was fantastic . I got the blt omelet and man alive is that thing delicious and the house hot sauce is fire. Got an order of pecan pancakes for one of my guys who couldn't make it and even to go they looked amazing. Glad I found this place .

If you’re anywhere near Big Bad Breakfast, do yourself a favor and stop in — you won’t regret it! I ordered The Mother of All Biscuits and it was absolutely delicious — hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I also tried their Bloody Mary, and it was just as amazing — fresh, bold, and the perfect complement to the meal. The atmosphere was great, and the service was friendly and quick. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We are from out of town. My wife and I were looking for a good southern breakfast. BBB has that for sure. The chiliquiles grits are a well paired combination of southern and south of the border. Any of the biscuits with gravy will fill you up and hit the spot.. Ask for more gravy.
Steve J — Google review
Great breakfast spot. Lots of tasty options to try! The French toast and the Big Bad Skillet was awesome!
David E — Google review
I have been wanting to come here for ages after hearing about how good the food and service is. So I finally got my husband to come with me. To say I was disappointed is accurate. I got the Yard Work skillet and my husband got the ham and cheese omelette. While the food was good, it was luke warm at best. His omelette had to have sat in the window waiting for my order to finish being ready because the warmest parts of it were where there was cheese. My skillet was more warm than his, but not by much. And the service was okay at best. I used to be a server in many different restaurants and more than understand stress and busy atmosphere and the toll it takes. But not greeting your guests with a pleasant demeanor and acting like they're nothing but a bother from the host to the server doesn't make someone want to come back. The food is the only reason this place is getting a 3 star because it tasted good. If the staff could at least learn to smile for more than when you leave then I would be more inclined to want to come back.

Restaurant
Elliston Place Soda Shop, a beloved neighborhood institution in Nashville, has been serving up classic American fare and sweet treats since 1939. After relocating to a refurbished building next door, the restaurant still maintains its retro cool vibe with jukeboxes and tiled walls. Known for their indulgent milkshakes that are popular among hospital patients seeking a break from cafeteria food, this spot also offers burgers, salads, grilled cheese, and housemade pies.
The Elliston Place Soda Shop is a lovely gem in Nashville. If you want some tasty morsels and a classic environment you should come by for an amazing meal. The original soda fountain is a treat serving up all sorts of classic sodas and ice cream. You can even ask for a mini tour of the soda fountain and learn why soda jerks got their name. You can also try the southern classic luncheon plate “meat and three” where you choose a protein and three southern sides! They also have a rotating protein for each day of the week. The chicken and dumplings was tasty and flavorful! The staff is super friendly and the food is great. Worth the trip. And Lynn was our server - props to her!!! Thanks so much- we will be back

I am a child of the 70-80’s so walking into this place brought back the nostalgia of the diners that use to be on every corner of where I grew up. The staff were friendly and attentive. Had the “Meat & Three” and chose the pot roast with creamed corn, cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, and corn bread. Of course had to try their “Favorite Soda” and a Milk Shake. Food was basic but good, but the milkshake stole the show!!

Felt like I walked into a cool 50s diner. This place is amazing. Its clean, the servers are friendly what more could you ask for? Our server was Nick, he was super friendly! He made us feel right at home. The food is amazing. A variety of menu items for even the picky person. Their milkshakes are thick and taste amazing. I can't say enough about this place!

I had the patty melt and the chocolate/peanut butter milkshake. The place had that old diner feel and the food matched what you would expect from a diner. The staff were friendly and the bathrooms were clean. I would visit there again.

In 1939, Lynn Chandler purchased the soda fountain business from Elliston Pharmacy. Since then they have made a following by treating people like family and having the best comfort food around. In 2019 Tony and Lisa Giarratana, purchased the business and are preserving Lynn’s visions. We ordered the classic Meat and Two, a Grilled Cheese, a Fried Chicken sandwich and a Burger with Slaw. The Meat and Two Sides was dark meat fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and cucumbers and onions. The chicken has a thick batter, that was just slightly over fried, but seasoned well. The chicken itself though was super juicy and flavorful. The macaroni was thick, buttery and cheesy. The cucumber and onion salad was really good too, slightly vinegary. The Grilled Cheese, we had added bacon, tomatoes and onion to it. It was a huge sandwich. The Fried Chicken sandwhich was a nice sized chicken breast and was juicy and flavorful. The Burger and Slaw gave off total diner vibes. The burger was well seasoned and served on a potato bun. If you have room for it after, they have several dessert options. We didn’t have any room for it, but saw other people get pies and sundaes. The portions were huge and looked soooo good. Cute restaurant and vibe.

The establishment boasts an inviting design featuring pews from the neighboring church and offers delectable dishes like shaved Brussels, pork pierogis, roasted heirloom carrots, and grilled acorn squash meant for sharing. With daily happy hours and a commitment to serving the local community, Hathorne has quickly become a favorite spot.
Great from start to finish! Golden beets are still a classic you don't want to miss. The winter salad had interesting flavors that complimented one another. The porchetta was cooked perfectly. So many gluten-free options as well that they fry separately all the time. Finish the meal with the chocolate torte and you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant was fabulous!! I got the Pan Seared Cobia, and it was one of my favorite fish dishes I’ve have in Nashville in a long time. Would go back for that dish alone. The happy hour prices were not that great, especially if you want wine. Only $2 off wine and beer and most of the reds were already $16+. If you want a basic cocktail that’s were the happy hour deal is best - only $8-10.

Hathorne- Did you know it was named after the owners grandmother? There are so many personal touches that were put into this restaurant. The decor, the menu and the service are all done with the greatest of intentionality. Now for the brunch food- AMAZING! The cocktails were incredible. I recommend the brioche doughnuts. My mother ordered the Brunch Burger and loved it. For my entree, the Stone Ground Grits & Hominy Frico with pork belly - a must get! It is a well designed savory brunch dish that honors southern roots with a twist! Highly recommend Hathorne for brunch. One of the best in the city!

Hathorne’s is a lovely tucked away gem with industrial-church vibe decor that has you feeling #blessed! The menu was clean and simple, but food was heavenly and divine! We drooled over the house focaccia bread and apricot jam, juicy chicken a la schnitzel and the most seductive summer squash ravioli I've ever sliced. The Eden (purple) & Gene (orange) cocktails were the perfect splash of color to our pairings. Staff was friendly and welcoming, well-priced for the quality, free street parking around the block! Will be returning for more!

Came here on a Tuesday wanting to try out the popular burger night. We sat and the bar and loved the ambiance of the place. Our bartender Chassidy was super friendly throughout our meal! We got the tempura okra and summer salad to start! Both were super flavorful and delicious! One of the best salads I’ve ever had. Frites were really good as well but a bit too salty for our liking. Ended up opting for the chicken schnitzel which was basically a big tasty chicken nugget. Paired with mashed sweet potatoes and a small lemon dressed salad on the side. Huge portion for it as well, definitely recommend, although the sweet potato mash wasn’t my favorite. For dessert, Chassidy recommended the ice cream cake so we had to try it out. Omg super decadent and literally tasted like nutella! Deft try it out if you have a sweet tooth! Overall, would like to come back! Highly recommend for a great Charlotte ave restaurant!

Really delicious focaccia bread! The winter salad and chicken schnitzel were prepared perfectly. We also tried the pasta which was more a mushroom dish than pasta but flavors were still good. Wait staff were not very attentive but the overall experience was good.

I encourage anyone who wants a very special, but not stuffy dining experience to try it for yourself!

Sat at the bar with a friend. Ate like half the menu, drank a lovely old fashioned. The ribs were my favorite thing. Assembly Food Hall is a vibrant culinary destination in Nashville, offering a diverse selection of over 20 local and regional eateries all under one roof. This bustling hub features an array of global and local cuisines, allowing visitors to indulge in everything from Nashville hot chicken sandwiches to bao buns and crepes without leaving the premises. Located in the Downtown district, it's part of the Fifth + Broadway complex and hosts live music and events, making it a lively center for both food and entertainment.
I had such a great experience at Assembly Food Hall in Nashville! I tried a variety of vendors — tacos, chicken, grilled cheese, dessert, and drinks — and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was lively with great live music, and the whole space was very clean and well-kept. Definitely a fun spot to visit if you want lots of food options and a great vibe!

The Assembly Food Hall is one of the most popular and sought after tourist destinations in Nashville. It is spread across three floors, with over 30 different restaurants and food stores serving thousands of visitors every day. There’s a huge variety of stores here, including burger shack, BBQ, seafood, lobster, sushi, Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican, sandwich shops, ice parlors, wine bars and so many more. Sometimes artists perform live music as well. There are tables all around in each floor. Still during peak hours it was difficult to get an empty table. We walked around for few minutes until we say a group leaving a table and grabbed it right away. The are several staff members who walk around and clean the empty tables. There’s also long lines at each store when it’s rush hours. We waited about 10-15 to order at each store. We spent couple of hours here, got to try some tacos, sushi, lobster roll and ice cream. Ice cream from Hattie’s was amazing but rest of the items were okay. But we were happy to experience one of the most popular activities

Every. Restaurant. Kills. It. 👏 It’s hard to remember the last time I had this much variety in one place and every single thing actually delivered on flavor. Seriously, I tried about five different spots, and each one outdid the other. The portions are solid, the prices are more than fair, and the vibe is exactly what you want when grabbing a bite. Just great food all around. This is the spot.

Assembly Food Hall has a plethora of food options and very aesthetically pleasing. We tried the Philly Special and got The Works with fries. The food was pretty good. It was a lot of people as it was the weekend but it was still possible to find seating for two. It’s also near a lot of shops so it’s a nice place to eat after exploring Broadway. The parking lot is also conveniently underneath.

One of must visit in Nashville! The whole plaza is restaurants and food. 3 levels of variety choice for the visitors’ appetites. Be prepare to wait in line for popular food and fight for the tables. We had food from 3 places and ice cream shop. All good food. Friendly staff. Bathroom is clean. It’s very spacious in the food hall. Live music for entertainment. High tables, regular tables, outdoor seats etc. Vibrant and lively spot for the neighborhood!

There's usually a line off the street at Hattie B's. So yourself a favor, go up the stairs the rest of the food hall and eat at Prince's. I prefer prince's over Hattie B's and it's the original. Plenty of other food options available. Ample seating and great views

So many choices for food and drinks! Clean and not cramped at all. Live music as well. Very cool to place to go!

Hattie B's Hot Chicken is a must-visit spot in Nashville, known for its delicious fried chicken with varying levels of spiciness and an array of sandwiches and fries. This family-run business has become a sensation, drawing visitors from all over the country. With multiple locations, it has become a traditional part of experiencing Nashville.
This is a fast casual spot in downtown Nashville. The fried chicken sandwich is absolute worth it! The fried chicken sandwich here is absolutely amazing! I ordered mine mild (and it was still spicy for me—I’m a wimp), while my husband got medium and said it was perfectly named. The flavor and crunch were spot on, and honestly, there’s no need for cheese on the sandwich—it stands on its own. We tried a few sides and really enjoyed them all. The mac n’ cheese was creamy but the pasta fell apart (3.5/5) which is common for mass-made mac & cheese, the greens had great flavor (5/5), and the slaw was fresh and crisp (4/5). Definitely heavy food, but worth every bite. Service was fast on a weekday—which was a nice surprise given how popular this spot is. (There’s a long line on weekends, but it’s worth waiting in.) If you’re in Nashville, Hattie B’s is a must-try!
Elizabeth R — Google review
A Nashville staple and a must go to when in the south. We enjoyed the 🥵 hot half chicken with cheddar grits and pimento Mac n cheese. The chicken skin was crispy and very well seasoned and cooked to perfection with great moisture. The grits were smooth with a bold flavor. The Mac n cheese was creamy and the noodles were soft and delicious. Indoor was not big enough to accommodate the amount of people in the restaurant so we sat on the patio with 100° weather.
Tony H — Google review
We went around tasting various hot chicken in Nashville and have concluded that Hattie B’s is a good middle ground. Better than Prince’s but not as good as Brave Idiot or Red’s. The bun is more fresh and the chicken is less dry compared to Prince’s. Even though we got the medium, the spice was not spicing and it felt like we were eating a mild. There’s a good selection of sides. Expect a long wait time if you’re visiting during a popular weekend.
Amber T — Google review
Hattie B’s is a Nashville staple, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The hot chicken sandwich was absolutely incredible—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The spice level hit just right, with plenty of heat but still enough to enjoy every bite. The sides were the perfect complement (highly recommend the mac & cheese and fries), and the service was fast and friendly even though the place was busy. The atmosphere is fun and casual, exactly what you’d want for a spot like this. If you’re in Nashville, do yourself a favor and try the hot chicken sandwich at Hattie B’s—it’s worth the wait in line!
Kabir C — Google review
If you are in Nashville, a visit to Hattie B's is definitely a must. I love the Half Bird Combo. It gets you 2 pieces of chicken, one leg and a breast. And you have the choice of making them different spice levels. I got one Hot and the other Damn Hot. I guess the Damn Hot is manageable if you get a breast piece as the chicken inside is largely unspiced. Else, pls stick to Hot. If you plan to be in any Hattie B's during peak meal time, I would highly recommend that you keep at least 30mins or more for queueing up.
Rajiv P — Google review
The Hot Chicken Sandwich at Hattie B’s delivers crispy, juicy breast meat with spicy sauce and slaw on a soft bun, medium heat is a flavorful win. The Bacon Cheddar Grits are creamy, smoky, and rich, perfectly balancing the spice. Long lines, but worth it. Nashville comfort food
Ryan H — Google review
This place did not disappoint! It came highly regard before we even came to Nashville so we had to give it a try. Ordered the 3 jumbo chicken tenders which came with 2 sides. We got the baked beans, pimento man n cheese, fries and bacon cheddar grits. All the sides were good but I would say the baked beans were the best. The meal also came with a drink, a side sauce and a piece of Texas toast. The wait was about 20-25 mins, but we’re still able to get a table inside. Would for sure come back.
Andrew L — Google review
Hattie B’s is always a good idea - lunch, dinner or late night meal after a night on Broadway. I ate here a couple of times during my stay in Nashville and both times the meals were excellent. Chicken cooked perfectly, good coleslaw side as well. I always go the medium but one day I will work up the courage to try the flaming hot hot hot version. Located at Fifth and Broadway, across from Bridgestone Arena.

Nestled in Midtown, the Loews Nashville Hotel at Vanderbilt Plaza offers 339 contemporary rooms and suites equipped with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and Julien Farel toiletries. Its prime location near Vanderbilt University makes it a convenient choice for visitors. The hotel's Club Level rooms provide extra perks such as continental breakfast and evening appetizers.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a conference and honestly couldn’t be happier with the service. Every staff member I interacted with was polite, attentive, had a great attitude, and always had a smile on their face! One of my roommates forgot her toothbrush, and just minutes after checking in, the staff delivered not only a toothbrush but a complete hygiene kit in a bag right to our door. such thoughtful service! I also texted them to ask if there was a microwave available somewhere in the hotel so I could heat up my dinner… and they brought an actual microwave to my room! That level of service truly exceeded expectations. I used the gym one evening and was really impressed with the quality of the equipment. Plus, they offer fresh fruit, water, clean towels, and a spacious bathroom with full shower amenities. everything was spotless and well-maintained. The *only* downside for me was the size of the beds. If you’re planning to share, be aware they’re full-size beds, which might feel a bit tight if you're a bigger person. Other than that, my stay was incredible — highly recommend!
Luisa M — Google review
My stay was great! Perfect location, clean hotel, friendly team. Thank you! Very minimal complaints... price of parking was high and was hoping to be able to sign in to streaming TV services. Overall this to me doesn't create a negative impact on rating as the hotel was top notch! P.S. Shout out to Joy for being so welcoming! Please thank her for her hospitality.
Christa S — Google review
Great stay. It didn't start off great but the evening Manager made sure we had our room that wasn't available at first. Service was outstanding, especially with the text function. We text about an available microwave for public use, and within ten minutes, they brought one to the room, for use during the weekend. The text to front desk function works outstanding, and I would highly recommend. Great location if you're attending TSU or Vandy football games.

I have never in my life experienced such outstanding service at a hotel! I am truly impressed. I have stayed at luxury hotels before, but none compare to the level of care and attention I received here. If possible, please share my gratitude with the entire team involved — from the front desk, dining, housekeeping, to communication — absolutely everything was exceptional. You are all truly to be congratulated!
Leticia M — Google review
The rooms need an update- but they are in the process of renovating top down. The beds are comfortable. The lobby is nice and staff are very welcoming/accommodating and kind. No pool and no spa. The restaurant was surprisingly good. We ate there multiple times as we had credits at the hotel. It was close to the Vandy stadium (our purpose of staying here) and walkable to coffee shops and some restaurants. Would def stay here again especially after room updates.
Shae S — Google review
I came to this hotel for a conference and the staff was wonderful and very helpful. My room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Van the doorman made sure I had everything I needed upon arrival and Walter and Matt were so accommodating and assisted however they could. This was my second year staying at this hotel for business but would stay here if coming to Nashville on vacation.
Emily V — Google review
What a disappointment. I expected much more. The room was large and quiet, but the rest of our experience was lacking. There’s construction going on in the building so there’s no laying in or getting work done quietly in the afternoon. The corridors stink of a blend of kerosene and feces. The hotel feels tired (hence the construction, I suppose) and when we asked for some tea bags for the room (which you get anywhere else!) we were made to feel like we were asking for the impossible, and they wanted to charge us $8 for a tea bag. The hotel is far from downtown (30+ minute walk through bland buildings on a busy street). We won’t be going back and suggest you don’t book either.
Steve B — Google review
Our stay at the Loews Nashville Hotel was unfortunately cut short due to intense construction directly above our room. From 8:00 AM until nearly 6:30 PM, the noise from air compressors, drills, and jackhammers made it impossible to relax, sleep in, or even work from our room. We had to check out early and stay down the street. I waited over two weeks for a return call from Jon, the hotel manager, only to be told that while he had full authority to offer a discount, he did not believe one was warranted. This response was incredibly disappointing. Rather than showing empathy or accountability, Jon made a point to emphasize his authority to discount — but chose not to, despite clear evidence that our stay was severely disrupted. We chose Loews expecting a premium experience, but what we received was a construction zone and a lack of concern from management. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a stay here to check on ongoing renovation work before booking. The location is great, but the noise and poor handling by management completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable stay.

Restaurant
Folk is a charming restaurant located in East Nashville's McFerrin Park, offering a unique dining experience with its high-ceilinged space and exposed brick walls. The menu features innovative seasonal Italian dishes, including wood-fired sourdough-crust pizzas topped with creative ingredients like Little Neck clams, parsley, bonito, and lemon.
Great spot! Restaurant was super helpful given our friend is in a wheelchair. Solid drinks and food! The chicken patte was a show stealer and all the cocktails were so delicious
Lee L — Google review
Folk is truly fantastic; one of the best in the Music City. An eclectic but well thought menu, with something for everyone. The atmosphere, service, and menu is a trifecta for an amazing experience. I’d recommend coming to folk again - we will definitely be back next time we visit Nashville!
Logan S — Google review
Appetizers and pizza are amazing. Main dish are weird. The Chocken Milanese is huge fried chicken covered with green tomato. Pork portion is very small for the price and served with half apricot and red oven papers. There is no side dish to order. Service is amazing as well as atmosphere
Maya K — Google review
This is a wonderful seasonal, farm to table restaurant in East Nashville. The service was impeccable—so warm and friendly and they timed out the courses perfectly. We started with the rock shrimp and kale. The kale salad is a must order! Our mains were the chicken Milanese and the halibut. Both were so well cooked and flavorful. We also had the squash pizza. It had a little bit of a kick to it. I recommend this dinner spot if you are looking for a hearty, well sourced meal in Nashville.
Kassandra S — Google review
Folk in East Nashville is such a great spot. A friend who was from Nashville recommended it to me. We started with the focaccia, which was wonderful, and shared the sausage pizza—fantastic flavor. The stracciatella cheese was a little underwhelming (under-salted and under-seasoned), but still good. A friend told me to try the clam pizza, so that’s on my list for next time! The real surprise was the corn ice cream—absolutely delightful. We’d never ordered anything like it before, but the restaurant did a fantastic job of incorporating Southern corn into a dessert. The atmosphere is quaint, service was fast, and overall it was a really enjoyable dinner. Just a heads up: the glasses of wine are on the smaller side, and if you don’t have a reservation you may be turned away or left waiting at the bar. Definitely worth booking ahead—I’d absolutely go back!
Elizabeth R — Google review
We had a small wedding so we had dinner at Folk. From the moment we walked into the door everything was perfect! Erica took such great care to make our experience special. The food was fantastic! Our guests said it was the most amazing experience. Emily helped make everything a reality since we had a larger group. I would 100% recommend Folk for special occasions and even a casual night out. Huge shout out to both FOH and BOH for making our wedding dinner a huge success!
Ashley L — Google review
Our party of 10 had a spectacular evening at Folk. The ambiance was so lovely. The staff took such great care of us from beginning to end and the food was exceptional. Our waitress made such incredible drink recommendations to pair with our food as well. We will absolutely be back!
Christie R — Google review
Shockingly bad. I guess the pizza is why people go to Folk? Because the rest of the menu is terrible. We had the smoked tuna dip, which was, as far as we could tell, canned tuna dumped unseasoned into a minuscule Petri dish. The rock shrimp entree is equally tiny and great if you enjoy small, tepid blobs of shrimp swimming in hotdog water. And the famous chicken Milanese is NOT it, friends. Piled high (inexplicably) with dill-drenched raw wax beans, it literally cries out for something tangy and sweet (ie. a lingonberry compote, perhaps) to cut through the oily, mouth-lacerating batter. And the cocktails don’t fare much better, it seems. I had the OAMC, which came weirdly unadorned in a baby wine glass and looked and tasted like chilled turpentine. Drink at your peril! Still downing Advil to combat the headache. Skip this one - unless you love pizza, I guess.

Lou Nashville, located on McGavock Pk, offers a charming and intimate dining experience in a warm cottage setting with a patio. The restaurant serves inventive New American dishes alongside a wide selection of wines that can be enjoyed on their quaint outdoor space. The seasonal, chef-driven menu features natural wine pairings and carefully crafted desserts. With its cozy atmosphere and close seating arrangement, it's an ideal spot for meaningful conversations over delicious cuisine.
We stopped by lou for brunch on a Sunday. The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to explain everything. The food was fantastic. We had the double fried eggs and the fried mortadella sandwich. Both were excellent and went well with the white vermouth spritz. The sauces are everything and really add layers of awesome to the food. Great place to go during patio season. Also a big perk—Parking is plentiful. Definitely make a reservation.

lou Nashville is a charming and delicious restaurant. Our first dining experience was their brunch, and it was very good. The space is intimate and inviting. The service is genuine and friendly. The food is really fantastic. The standouts are the chocolate, maple and buckwheat pancake, the crispy potatoes with malt vinegar powder and cultured mushroom cream and the chili oil fried eggs. The greens that come with the eggs are bursting with flavor with a tangy dressing that packs a punch. I look forward to returning for their dinner service, and exploring more of their menu. lou is a standout in Nashville.

Amazing amazing brunch!!! Chocolate maple buckwheat pancakes are insane. It is just one big fluffy crispy piece of pancake, covered in chocolatey maple syrup. The texture and taste is impossible! Too good. The breakfast sandwich with nduja sausage was also insanely flavorful. Bursting with savory combination of flavors. Service is quick and very friendly. Cool atmosphere too.

This place is unbelievable. Each dish was better than the last. The service matched the amazing quality of the food. Both Hugh and Tony were fantastic waiters, the kind that wait for you to finish chewing before asking, “how is everything?” (and the know how to recommend wine too). I can’t recommend this place enough and I cannot wait to be back in Nashville to go back.
Nicholas K — Google review
Brunch only review: I was pretty pleased with my experience at Lou. They have a nice variety of simple foods that taste good. At brunch, getting their buckwheat pancake is a must. You cannot pass up on this as it is thick, soft, and topped with delicious chocolate maple syrup and malt butter. I also recommend the crispy potatoes. These potatoes are extremely crispy and served with a savory sauce on top. The crispy rice was really nice as well - served with avocado and kale, it’s a simple dish but the texture of the crispy rice is fun to eat. The apple tartine is a nice piece of bread with a generous portion of creamy, sheep cheese (very similar in taste to goat cheese) and topped with green apples. To offset the bitterness of the green apples, a very subtle drizzle of honey is added. The Lima beans dish is pretty impressive. These basics Lima beans are stewed with bitter greens and served as is. Really straightforward flavors. Make sure you get desserts. All their cakes and cheesecakes and ice creams are wonderful. Do NOT pass up on that. The outdoor patio seating is nice, and staff will bring you heaters to help warm up the area. It can still get pretty cold. Make sure you make a reservation online well in advance!
Gourmand — Google review
Came for brunch with a friend and truly enjoyed everything. We split the fruit and honey, broccolini and soft scrambled eggs sandwich, baked eggs with mole sauce and a side of fennel bacon. The bacon was our favorite with the sandwich coming in close behind. The bread they use is amazing. We also split a piece of olive oil cake with buttercream frosting. Just the right ratio of frosting to cake. If you are looking for a good brunch place, this is your spot.

There is good reason why Lou is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. When you combine very flavorful, well executed dishes with a cozy environment and awesome people, the resulting experience is nothing short of spectacular. I cannot recommend Lou enough.

Saffire is a top-notch restaurant in Franklin, offering an eclectic menu of international comfort foods and Southern sides within a renovated factory setting. It's one of the best 5-star restaurants in the area, alongside other fine dining establishments. The restaurant also serves as an excellent venue for events, with accommodating staff and delicious food options including vegetarian dishes. Guests can enjoy a great atmosphere, fresh food, oysters, and a decent wine selection along with a variety of bourbon choices.
We ate at Safire for the first time, and loved it. We met friends for dinner & drinks before a show at Studio Tenn and highly recommend Saffire (and Studio Tenn). Against my better judgement, I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with collard greens & Mac & Cheese. This isn’t really my thing, but it was recommended by my friend and again by restaurant staff. It was outstanding, and I’ll probably get it again next time (although both the pork chop and the meatloaf look interesting. The pacing was relaxed, the staff & ownership friendly and the entire experience enjoyable. I look forward to returning.

Went to the farmers market and saw this place had opened recently. We went for brunch. Not a ton of options but everything was delicious. The gumbo was very flavorful with a little heat. Definitely recommend!!! The burger was delicious with plenty of toppings. Lots of blue cheese crumbles! The fried chicken was over mac and cheese with collard greens. It was amazing also highly recommend! I didn't know i liked collard greens. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Jeannie R — Google review
This was our first time visiting Saffire. The menu has a combination of southern dishes with a few Cajun options thrown in. Being from southern Louisiana I am always hesitant to try Cajun food anywhere outside of my home state. I asked our server about the gumbo and he said the chef was from Baton Rouge so I gave it a try. It was a mistake. Gumbo is a soup made with a roux which thickens it but it shouldn’t be the consistency of gravy like this is. It was also way too spicy. I hate when people think Cajun food means overly peppery. The spice is for flavor not for heat. Also, tomatoes in gumbo is a big NO! Moving on….the truffle fries were amazing. I’m usually not a fan and most are just average but these are special. The burger was also really good. Lastly, the fried chicken over mac and cheese and greens was good but honestly not great. All in all the atmosphere was enjoyable and our service was good. We’ll be back.

Excellent early brunch location with a broad menu, full bar, excellent, friendly, prompt service, in a large, eclectic bistro setting. The Autumn Beet Roast salad is excellent, and would make a great shared appetizer. The accompanying biscuits were a little smaller than normal. The Chilaquiles were a great combination of textures and flavors. The serving was large. The wine list is sort , but diverse.
J. M — Google review
My friend and I had lunch at Saffire earlier this week. We ordered the Ribbon Salad that the server recommended and the pasta to share. The candied pecans and veggie crips made the salad! The pasta was light and full of flavor. It wasn't too busy, so perfect for a lunch meeting. All in all, a great lunch and we can't wait to come back and check out the dinner menu.
T W — Google review
Great food, enjoyed the chicken fried chicken. It was flavorful inside out. Grate service. Our cups are always filled up. We were sat at a dim part of the restaurant so it was little less fun but it’s ok. Will come back for food.
Ali D — Google review
What I got (the beet salad) was good and well-prepared but incredibly small for the price. The staff was super friendly. The entire salad, before the first bite was taken, in its entirety is pictured. Again, it was good, but the size was surprising for a lunch salad (it should have been marketed as a side salad). Only brunch for lunch on Saturdays and limited menu.
S D — Google review
We had a large group reservation and we had a wonderful dinner. The food was very excellent, cooked perfectly and so flavorful. Our server did a good job. The atmosphere was simple but ideal. A great time in an ideal setting.
