The California State Capitol Museum is a historic institution that offers an elegant and comprehensive look into the history of California through its exhibits and artifacts. The museum is part of the Free Museum Day, where visitors can explore various local museums for free. As you approach the museum, the grandeur of the California State Capitol building comes into view, with its impressive architecture and ornate interior.
This was my first time here. I didn’t get to go inside, but still an amazing view from the outside. Beautiful park surrounding it. Lots of places to sit, relax or set up a picnic area and eat. It’s bustling with people. There’s food trucks around the block. The building is absolutely amazing. They don’t make buildings like these anymore. The architecture, the design, so much thought put into building these older buildings next time. Hopefully I’ll be able to go inside.

Free entrance.open only weekdays. There is a gift shop but it's kind of hidden. No restaurant. MANY bathrooms on every floor. About 1/2 the rooms aren't accessible but they have the others set up as they were for their their period theme. If you like this kind of stuff definitely worth visiting. Top floor has portrates of the previous governors of the state.

A must-visit when you’re in Sacramento! The California State Capitol Museum is beautifully preserved and full of history. The architecture is stunning, from the marble hallways to the grand dome, every corner tells a story. The exhibits are well curated, offering a fascinating look into California’s political and cultural past.
Wesley C — Google review
This is a really interesting space and could be worth a stop if you’re in town — it’s free to enter (brief security checkpoint accessible on 2 sides), and takes just a few minutes to cruise the palatial halls and get some breathtaking neoclassical architecture! The millwork is spectacular, with carved bears on the bannisters and rich filigree on nearly every surface. If you appreciate nothing else, the craftsmanship is next level. It’s almost perpetually under construction, so be aware that not all areas are always accessible and the space is actively being used for government functions — so be respectful around the more private sections while cruising around inside. The ground floor plays host to a few historical rooms preserved for your viewing pleasure, and a small exhibit or two depending on construction. The elevators are full of gorgeous art-deco metalwork and operate relatively quickly. You can also climb the elegant stairs on one side of the main rotunda. There’s a cute gift shop and restaurant in the basement as well. This is quite a structure. If you like epic structures you’ll probably enjoy a quick stop in as I mentioned before. Grounds outside are good for photo ops too.

Interesting free self guided walk through of historic portions of the Capitol building. Current exhibits focus on historical photography in and of California. Some impressive architecture and craftsmanship to be enjoyed.

We had a great tour, led by a passionate lady. The anecdotes that she told us were fascinating. We learned lots of things. Everyone working there was friendly.

Building is really beautiful. Dome is worth seeing at least once in your life. Worse part was Arnold Schwarzeneggers picture. Every other picture was gold framed and classy looking...his portrait was a bit of an eyesore. No fees to get in. Found parking about a block away...$6 for 2 hours for street parking.

One of the most beautiful capitals I've visited! There is a lot of construction going on currently but you can find paid street parking. They give tours. There's a robotic coffee shop nearby that's really neat too!

The Stanford Mansion, a beautifully restored 1856 Victorian mansion, is now a museum showcasing period furnishings and decor. It is part of the Free Museum Day in Sacramento along with other local museums. To explore the interior, visitors must join a guided tour. While in Sacramento, tourists should also visit the Capitol and its surrounding park which features an impressive array of trees and plants from around the world, as well as rose and succulent gardens. Entry to the Capitol is free but requires passing through security.
Went here on a free museum day. A well kept part of California history. Great that the mansion was used as a girls orphanage for nearly 85 years. It was built by one of the richest person in America in those days and also a governor. It has clean restrooms, paid street side parking and can buy tickets onsite too. One thing I observed that the mansion in terms of elegance and luxury was not as good as others I saw in Oregon and Vancouer; bit surprising to me. No photography is allowed inside.
Ram D — Google review
Take a trip to the past where you can learn about Jane & Leland. The furniture is beautiful and from the era where the mansion had all its glory. Intercoms located throughout the mansion for the ease of the head mistress. Don't think about taking a photo as they're highly prohibited these are from the welcome entrance and are the only ones allowed. I will tour again!
Mel A — Google review
We stopped here while on vacation. This was one of my favorite stops while in California. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The mansion is quite impressive. It is in very good condition. As someone who has remodeled old houses, I can really appreciate all the work that has gone into the house. It was hard to believe that the tour was free. I highly recommend.
Beetle B — Google review
Wonderful tour. Logan was great at his information of the mansion. We were not allowed to take pictures inside but it was very beautiful.

I have been coming here for years. I take my clients here for history and cultural experience. It's free! air conditioning and takes about an hour for the tour. There are bathrooms and elevators also. Amazing part of Sacramento history.
Heather S — Google review
The free tour is offered every hour on the hour. It's pretty awesome to see this beautiful house. 70% of the furnishings and lights and doors and all of that are original. It's really amazing. Also cool that the governor entertains there and does work there in an office which you get to go in. None of the rooms are roped off. You can walk around during the tour and look at everything.
Armstrong D — Google review
If you love history, especially of one of Sacramento's founding members, you'll enjoy a guided tour of this mansion. Lots of details and examples of how things were arranged and very informative for the hour I was there.

Last tour starts 1hr before they close. They will not let you in if you're not on the tour! We went at 4:30pm, they closed at 5pm. Nice garden & front entrance!

Sutter's Fort State Historic Park is the oldest restored fort in the U.S. and offers a glimpse into pioneer life through costumed docents, programs, and exhibits. This California Historical Landmark and National Historic Landmark was settled by pioneer John Augustus Sutter Jr. in 1839. The living history museum spans nearly 5 acres and features various old-school buildings such as blacksmith shops, original wells, and weaving stations.
Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park is a fascinating glimpse into California’s early history! The self-guided tour allows you to explore at your own pace, taking in the well-preserved buildings and historical artifacts. Admission is very affordable—just $5 for adults and $3 for youth, with kids 5 and under free. The fort is filled with interesting exhibits showcasing pioneer life, including blacksmithing tools, living quarters, and trade goods. The atmosphere really transports you back in time, and the informational signs provide great context. It’s a great spot for history buffs, families, or anyone looking for a unique experience in Sacramento. The outdoor setting makes for a pleasant walk, and the reconstructed rooms give a real sense of what life was like in the 1800s. There are also occasional live demonstrations, which add to the experience. Parking can be around the park, not free on weekdays but free on Sunday.
Dai D — Google review
If given the opportunity, I would highly recommend visiting the fort with a school on a field trip. It gives you an entirely different experience from the self-guided tour. This is something I did in school 30 years ago, and was also just able to experience with my daughter and her class. It's run by 4 or so state park employees, and then for field trips, the parent volunteers run the stations. This gives the kids a chance to make candles, rope, leather stamping, bake in a stone oven, churn butter, and more.
Kristen H — Google review
I really enjoy history. I went during the week and in the afternoon, so there was only three other people there besides myself and the park Rangers. Entrance fee was only about $5. You really do get the feel of walking into history. Everything is as it was and it feels as if you are a part of history well. It begins with an informational video. Then you walk into the courtyard and see it all staged to see how camp would have looked like. Each room is staged as it would have been. You can’t enter the rooms, only look inside them from the doors. The bottom half of the doors are closed. There is one building you can enter rich was the jail. You can walk into the forts two towers on opposite side where the canons are strategically placed to protect the fort and those in it. Nice park surrounding it with a pond, bridge going over the pond, turtles in the pond and lots of geese. The State Indian Museum is right next to it.
Francisco G — Google review
We visited on Saturday afternoon. The admission ticket was $5 per person. The fort was pretty big and it was a quiet place to walk. The self guided tour allowed us to explore the rooms at our own pace. There are informations about John Sutter and the history of the fort itself. We spent about 30 minutes to walk around the area.
Meline J — Google review
Nice spot, well kept. Since you can’t actually go in a lot of rooms it would be nice if there was a little bit more shade. It’s a tough place to visit during the summer. I like that they are acknowledging a lot of things history of the place.
Chris F — Google review
A good place to visit, parking may be a challenge, the fort was mostly reconstructed in the 1890s but the main building g is original. A 12 minute video places Sutter's Fort in a modern historical setting, adding some balance to the stories told. If you're not from California/Sacramento you might want to read up on some of the pioneering era history before coming here.
Nicholas H — Google review
Amazing to be able to have this historic building in the middle of the city of Sacramento. Great spot for short walks, sipping coffee, having a picnic, or visiting the State Indian Museum. $5 entrance fee each.
Rosario D — Google review
It was an incredible experience to learn about the history of Sutter Fort. We visited all the rooms which were open to the public, viewed artifacts and watched the ranger’s demonstrate the black smith work. It’s educational experience for all ages. Worth a visit!!!

Catholic cathedral

The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, located in Downtown Sacramento, is a magnificent Catholic church with Italian Renaissance-style architecture and a towering dome reaching 175 feet high. This opulent landmark not only serves as a place of worship but also stands out as an architectural marvel. Visitors can enjoy guided tours to learn about its history and design, and partake in musical events held within its Victorian interior.
I have been attending Mass at the Cathedral for many years, and let me tell you, it has been an incredible journey! In 2012, I had the privilege of joining the cathedral choir on a pilgrimage to Spain and Fatima, which was an experience of a lifetime. The kindness and helpfulness of Bishop Soto and all the others involved in the cathedral are truly heartwarming. Now, let me tell you about the amazing choir director, Rex. This person is simply extraordinary! His talent and passion for music shine through in every performance, making the Mass even more uplifting and inspiring. One of the things I love most about this church is the abundance of prayer altars. You can light a candle or simply find a quiet spot to offer your most holy prayers. And if you take a moment to sit in the church and look up, you'll always find Jesus, the most high, eagerly waiting to hear your prayer requests or simply be present in adoration. The beauty of the church is truly captivating. From the stations of the cross to the stunning artwork, every corner is filled with awe-inspiring sights. And let's not forget the holy water, which is always plentiful and ready for you to bless yourself or take some home. The Cathedral also offers various sacraments and services, including weddings, baptisms, confessions, and prayers for all. Make sure to check their website for specific times and dates, as this is not my parish church. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this Cathedral enough! It is a place of deep spirituality, breathtaking beauty, and a community that truly cares. Whether you're a regular attendee or a visitor, you're bound to have a truly remarkable experience.
Marylou L — Google review
Just a beautiful church. My niece was married here last month. Previous to this event we’ve had baptisms here and in memory of ceremony. I highly recommend it.
Claudia E — Google review
We stopped in while on vacation - tried the front doors (it was open, but you had to use the side door to the left of the main entrance) and another visitor told us the door was along the side of the building. Once inside - AMAZING. This Cathedral is done from top to bottom. So much to see, beautiful worship places and more. We prayed, looked around, etc. Beautiful place!
Megan N — Google review
Love that they offer daily confessions at 11:30. Line gets long quickly so arrive early. Very quiet prayerful atmosphere to pray before 12:10pm mass. Nice quick prayerful mass. Beautiful church!
Hunter — Google review
Always stunningly beautiful to see it so long after the renovation was spectacular.
Chris H — Google review
Set your religion aside, stay quiet and respectful, people will be using the sanctuary for there beliefs when you visit. It has an echo so speak soft if you have to and avoid heeled shoes, it will sound like a bull is walking in boots lol. It will make your jaw drop as a work of art.
David B — Google review
This beautiful Cathedral is by far one of my most favorite places to visit in all of Sacramento. I always feel a large, comforting presence when I enter the front door and it is so tranquil and peaceful inside. The beauty is overwhelming.
Bruce S — Google review
Beautiful but way too often closed. The hours here are quite horrendous and the masses are surprisingly infrequent. I’ve never been to a Cathedral that didn’t feel open to me as a daughter of Christ. This one instead feels like a place that I must catch at just the right moment in order to embrace prayer with Christ in his Church. Super unfortunate. I love the church, it’s beautiful and lifts my eyes to Jesus, but it’s closed so often - opening so late in the day. Such a sincere travesty.

The California State Railroad Museum, located in Old Sacramento, is a vibrant and educational destination for history enthusiasts. The museum offers an extensive collection of vintage locomotives and engaging exhibits that delve into the impact of railroads on the development of western states. With over 20,000 square feet of interactive displays, visitors can explore the history of steam engines, the role of railroads in agriculture, and even view a remarkable assortment of 1,000 vintage toy trains.
A Memorable Visit to the California State Railroad Museum Visiting the California State Railroad Museum was truly an unforgettable experience. As soon as I stepped inside, I was impressed by the size of the locomotives and the detail in every exhibit. I could feel the rich history of the railroad era coming to life right in front of me. What I enjoyed most was seeing the beautifully restored trains up close — especially the luxury passenger cars and old steam engines. Walking through them made me imagine what it must have been like to travel across the country by rail many years ago. I also gained a lot of new insights into how the railroad shaped California’s growth and connected communities. The museum does a great job of combining technology, history, and storytelling. There were even interactive exhibits that made learning fun and engaging. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at the museum and left with a deeper appreciation for the role of railroads in American history. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, transportation, or simply looking for a meaningful experience.
Mixmix F — Google review
We visited the railway museum right when it opened and were warmly greeted by the staff as they opened the doors. The ticket prices are quite affordable, and the museum itself is clean and well-maintained. The staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable — they took time to explain the history and details of the trains on display. The museum features a wide variety of train exhibits, and there’s even a dedicated floor for kids to play with model trains and watch them move around, which was a fun highlight. Parking is available either at metered street spots or in a nearby garage, which costs around $20 per day. Overall, it was an enjoyable and educational experience for both adults and kids.
Yoke A — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the California State Railroad Museum! As two adults, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we ended up having so much fun. The scavenger hunt was a great touch, and the exhibits are very interactive with full-size trains you can explore. The museum is well-maintained, with a lot to see and learn. Staff members are friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re into museums or looking for a unique, engaging experience in Sacramento.
Janine N — Google review
Probably one of the top five railroad museums I’ve been to in the country. Very well done, plane to read, and space for the little ones to run around too. Don’t miss the model trains and the kid play area on the second floor!
Alexander W — Google review
Top notch experience for 1-90 years old. Real historic train carriages and locomotives on display with knowledgeable staff that will engage in interesting conversation. And that $12 per person fee is a steal which is less than half the price of nearly every museum nowadays! Second floor section is dedicated to model trains which brings smile to children. Highly recommended
Frederick — Google review
If you like history and trains this place is for you. My only complaint would be the welcome video appears to be down and the signage was very text heavy. A beautifully well curated and restored examples of mid 19th century locomotives and rolling stock up til the middle of the 20th century. They have a reciprocity agreement with my local railroad museum so that made my family's admission negligible. Overall a great way to spend a few hours in the afternoon on a warm day
James S — Google review
Be prepared to have your mind blown! This place was a must to see with or without kids. First the cost of it was inexpensive to other museums. Child 6-17 was $6, 17+ was $12 free under 5. Interactive museums are truly the best way to learn and this was a well thought out museum. We also enjoyed that they had many old timers who knew all about the history and trains walking around as volunteers who clearly loved and enjoyed talking to kids and adults alike. The history museum is next door and was such a let down in comparison so maybe skip that one or see it first, before you go into the train museum.
Amara C — Google review
Wow YOU MUST VISIT!! Ok this was our first time and there is a lot too see. Plan for a minimum of 2hrs if you really want to see it all and you'll still need a second visit or should I say YOU WILL WANT another visit. Not just the history but the way they have displayed it was impressive. There is a train car that shacks and has sound so when you walk through it you feel like your on a real train back in time! Another train allows you to sit in the Conductor seat and pull a lever. (It does nothing but was cool) There is a small kids play area inside upstairs. All employees and volunteers were AMAZING 😍. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF. They took time to answer questions, point things out and make sure you didn't miss a thing. It only cost $12 a person and if you visit here first just take your receipt to the history museum next door and get a discount there for the general admission and the underground tours the History museum next door does. But if you visit the History museum first you won't get a discount at the Train museum. Just fyi!! Very accessible for wheelchairs, strollers or walkers. They also for free let you use a sensor bag that have noise cancelling headset, fidget toys etc in it. LOVE THE ACCESSIBILITY!!!! Parking is easy. There is a parking garage The Old Sacramento parking garage. We parked for about 6hrs and paid $18 total. Or there is meter parking closer but not as convenient in my opinion. We will be back to old Sacramento just for the Train museum and the train ride separate from the museum but located right down the block.

Nestled in the heart of Sacramento, the Crocker Art Museum stands as a testament to artistic heritage, being the oldest public art museum west of the Mississippi River. With nearly 140 years of history, it showcases an impressive array of international artworks alongside its renowned collections of Californian art and ceramics. Visitors can immerse themselves in diverse exhibitions that span European, Asian, and African paintings.
This is one of the best art museums I’ve ever visited. I was impressed by the breadth of time periods and media, as well as the focus on California art and artists who spent most of their lives here. I wish I had time to see everything! You could easily spend all day here. Of special note is the unique descriptions for almost ever single piece on display in the permanent collection that gave immense detail on the artist, subject, and “what to focus on” that helps give special context on the piece.

During a heatwave that extended into the weekend, I was trying to think of a family activity/outing that would keep us cool. My 13 year old (who has a fondness for art & history) suggested that we visit the Crocker Art Museum. My wife and I hadn’t been in years (I believe the last time I visited was when I was in grade school), so we loved this idea and were excited! Unfortunately, this was a last minute decision, so we would only have 1.5 hours to enjoy before they closed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly employee at the desk who issued our tickets. We started at the French art exhibits, which if I’m being honest, I found to be boring and a bit depressing. However, this feeling quickly dissipated when we entered the modern art sections. One of my favorite pieces of artwork was “Empanadas Dulces/Sweet Turnovers;” something about seeing a multigenerational family coming together to accomplish one goal is beautiful to me. Overall, we enjoyed the Crocker Art Museum and are planning a return visit for the near future (this time around we’ll plan for a longer visit)!

We had a great time viewing all the wonderful art selections. The Museum had an event the day we went. It was pretty interesting. We went on Sunday. It's free or you can give a donation to enter.

The Crocker Art Museum is way bigger than we expected—there’s seriously so much to see. We didn’t even have enough time to finish the third floor! Every room is filled with beautiful artwork, from classic pieces to more modern installations. It’s the kind of place you could get lost in for hours. Definitely planning to come back soon to see the rest. Perfect spot for a date too—relaxing, inspiring, and easy to enjoy together.

Went Saturday, October 4th. Large museum, alot of different exhibit themes. 3 stories of old and modern art. Alot of native American memorabilia. Alot of polynesian ancient figurines. Alot of modern art, something pleasing for everyone. It takes a couple of hours to walkthrough all the exhibits. A great choice to spend a day, it's within walking distance to old town Sacramento.

Old Sacramento State Historic Park is a charming area that takes you back to the Gold Rush era with its historic buildings, covered plank sidewalks, and cobblestone streets. The park features over 50 well-preserved landmarks, including the original schoolhouse and Eagle Theatre. Visitors can also enjoy views of the Tower Bridge and explore themed apparel at Evangeline's Costume Mansion.
Old Sacramento is a cool spot, a little on the tourist side, but fun. The train museum is a must do. very well laid out, fun, entertaining, and you will leave there with a little more knowledge. $12 for adults seems to be a more than fair admission. Unfortunately, the day we went, there was a TON of kids there. it might be best to call first

Old Sacramento State Historic Park is a fun and charming place to visit if you’re into history or just looking for a nice way to spend an afternoon. Walking through the old-timey wooden boardwalks and restored 1800s buildings really makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. There’s a cool mix of museums, little shops, and restaurants—some are more touristy than others, but it adds to the quirky charm of the place. The highlight for me was definitely the California State Railroad Museum—it’s surprisingly impressive and really well done. Even if you’re not a big train person, it’s worth checking out. We also did the underground tour, which gives you a glimpse of how the original streets of Sacramento were raised after major flooding. Super interesting and a little eerie in the best way. There are also a bunch of souvenir shops, old candy stores, and novelty spots that are clearly geared toward tourists, but still fun to browse. Some places felt a bit overpriced or gimmicky, but that’s kind of expected in a historic district like this. The only downsides were the crowds and parking—it can get a bit busy, especially on weekends, and finding a good parking spot nearby takes a bit of luck or patience. Also, while the area is very family-friendly during the day, it felt a little less lively and safe at night. All in all, it’s a great place to bring visitors or just explore on your own if you’re into local history. I wouldn’t say it’s a must-do every time you’re in Sacramento, but it’s definitely worth visiting at least once. If you pair it with the Railroad Museum or grab lunch at Joe’s Crab Shack by the river, it makes for a really solid day out.

Old Sacramento State Historic Park is a fun place to spend a day. The shops are charming, and the California State Railroad Museum is a real highlight. I had lunch at one of the local spots, and it made for a nice, relaxed visit. Parking can be a little tricky, but I was still able to find a spot without too much trouble. Overall, it’s a great place to explore for both locals and visitors.

I rarely leave reviews this harsh, but I feel obligated to warn others. From the moment I stepped into this place, I was overwhelmed by a strong, unmistakable stench of rat urine — a foul, acrid odor that clung to the air and made it nearly impossible to breathe comfortably. It was like walking into a forgotten storage unit that hadn’t seen a cleaning product in years. As if the smell weren’t bad enough, I actually saw rats — not just one or two, but several darting across the floor and even disappearing into the floorboards and trash cans. I didn’t dare eat or drink anything around the area. I’m honestly not sure how businesses are still allowed to operate in its current condition. Do yourself a favor: skip this place for now. It’s not just uncomfortable — it’s a health hazard. The city should do something about this. It’s disappointing. I wished I had snapped a couple of pictures and recorded a video.

The Sacramento Historic City Cemetery, established in 1849, is a picturesque burial ground with three volunteer-maintained gardens and guided walking tours. The cemetery is home to over 25,000 individuals, including notable figures such as Gold Rush pioneers, Civil War veterans, John Sutter Jr., and Mark Hopkins.
This is hands down a gorgeous and well-maintained cemetery. You really feel that this is a historic place when you’re here. The architecture of the statues and gravesites, the gorgeous landscaping, the nicely carved out paths, to the historic/important people buried here take you to a place where you feel strangely comforting. Our literary tour started from here, and we saw the graves of Joan Didion’s family. We even read from one of Joan’s books as if we were paying homage to everyone buried here, for the lives they’ve led, with their joys and sorrows. It’s a great place, to come and reflect, and spend a day either by yourself or with a group. A cemetery doesn’t sound too touristy, but I highly recommend this place. I believe they’ve roses inside the cemetery, which are among the best in California. They’ve a few parking spots inside as well.

The Sacramento area has many interesting historical places to visit. I've started to visit all the places I have on my list. After the old Sacramento district and the State Capitol, this is the third place on my list. I personally love old historical cemeteries. Whether they are pioneer or military cemeteries. To walk around and find and read the headstones of people and to ask what is your story? From Arlington to Gettysburg and the punch bowl and many others if you are interested in monuments like this, then you must visit. It is a beautiful well kept cemetery. Many pioneers,, politicians and prominent families from the history of California.

Really nice cemetery, as far as cemeteries go. Founding father of Sacramento, including John Sutter I f anything is vandalized they repair it right away. Everyone that works there is extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoy coming here, it's gorgeous and well maintained. Some spots are even picturesque. We were homeless last year after being in a haboob, followed by wildfires and lost EVERYTHING. I found my peace here. Warning though. Those gates will be locked, right on time. Don't be one of the many that was locked in here, LOL

A beautiful and peaceful place. About half is military dead, from various wars. The other half is historic. Grave plots are in various states of disrepair, some nicely kept up and others where the head stones are very worn and the heavy concrete above the bodies is sagging. There are flowering plants all over the place with bees and butterflies doing their thing.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. I've only been there during the day and it's so peaceful in there. It's also very historic and has some amazingly well done gravestones. Lots of historic figures are buried there.

Yesterday I noticed an invasive growth of Puncturevine on Eglantine it looks beautiful but it is a nightmare and will take ove the entire grounds if not eradicated. It is easily dispersed on animals, and bicycle and car tires. People inadvertently disperse seeds into new areas.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tower Bridge, also known as Sacramento Bridge, is a landmark vertical lift bridge connecting downtown Sacramento with West Sacramento. Completed in 1935, it features 160-ft towers and accommodates both vehicle and pedestrian lanes. Recognized for its industrial beauty in the Streamline Moderne style, the bridge was awarded for its architectural significance. Coated in gold paint as a tribute to Sacramento's Gold Rush heritage, it offers picturesque views of the Sacramento River.
Beautiful landmark in the heart of Sacramento! I had such a peaceful experience walking across Tower Bridge. The golden structure stands out beautifully—especially around sunset when the lights begin to glow. It’s not just a bridge—it’s a piece of Sacramento history with a really unique design that makes for great photos. You get a fantastic view of the river and the city skyline, and it’s a great spot for an evening stroll or bike ride. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Meet Sacramento’s Tower Bridge—the Art Deco diva of the river. Born in the 1930s New Deal era, it’s a vertical-lift showboat whose middle section rides up like an elevator so boats can strut through. She started out juggling cars and trains (multitasking queen) before ditching the tracks in the ’60s for more lanes. And that blinding “California Gold” glow? Locals picked it—because if you’re gonna be a landmark, you might as well sparkle. 🌉✨ And sparkle it does. The bridge is home to the iconic farm to fork meal, the Tower Bridge Dinner.

The State Indian Museum in Sacramento, California, offers a fascinating exploration of the state's indigenous tribes. The museum showcases artifacts and exhibits that celebrate the rich culture and history of Native Americans in California. Visitors can immerse themselves in the ancient traditions and values of the indigenous people through hands-on experiences and detailed descriptions of tribal artifacts. The museum is themed around core Indian values such as Nature, Spirit, and Family, providing insight into their unique community and how they lived alongside the natural environment.
My family and I had a wonderful experience here! The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful in showing our kids some things. The museum is small, but has a lot of information to read about. They plan to add more hands on experiences for kids in the near future. We had been learning about Indigenous populations prior to coming and it really helped to make some connections during our visit. I recommend PBS American Experience videos as well as Honest History journals for kids. These resources are helpful for different levels of understanding of our Native populations as well as the historical effects on their way of life.

I had a truly wonderful visit to the State Indian Museum, made even more special thanks to Park Ranger Shyanne. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the rich history and cultures of California Native peoples. Ranger Shyanne went above and beyond to answer questions and provide thoughtful, respectful insights that brought the exhibits to life. Her storytelling, cultural sensitivity, and genuine care made the experience not only educational but also deeply meaningful. If you're visiting the museum, I highly recommend taking the time to speak with her—you won’t regret it. She's a true asset to the museum and to the California State Parks team!

I found street parking just outside of the park. I paid $5 for admission into this Museum. It is very small and will take you less than 30 minutes. The bathrooms are located outside and are open to the public. There is another Museum nearby but that is a separate fee. The staff are friendly and amicable enough in their efforts to answer any questions.

Basically a one room museum. Wish they had more videos or a guide to make the experience come alive. Will have to return for acorn days. My favorite part was the map showing what tribes were where. The Fort Sutter next door has more information on how the natives built the fort.

The magnificent museum of Indian heritage Nassen, but they do not allow video and photography, the ticket is not expensive, it is worth visiting, at the entrance there is a man who tells the story of the settlements of the Nassen tribe along the American River, their existence and character, how they met gold miners and get along with the settlers, also this man at the museum can play a musical Indian flute and offer literature for purchase, both his informational story and books. After the museum, you need to go opposite to the migrant fortress, you also need to buy a ticket there, but it is not expensive and it is worth it to get acquainted with the history of migrants in those distant historical times of the gold rush.

Old Sacramento Waterfront, a 28-acre area established in the 1960s, offers a rich historical experience with its visitor center, museums, and various history tours. The California State Railroad Museum showcases meticulously restored trains from the Gold Rush era while the Sacramento History Museum provides guided tours of underground spaces and streets. Additionally, visitors can explore the interactive California Museum featuring the California Hall of Fame.
Visiting the Old Sacramento Waterfront felt like stepping straight into the Old West. With its wooden boardwalks, vintage storefronts, and preserved 19th-century architecture, the entire area oozes historic charm. It’s a beautifully maintained district that brings Gold Rush-era California to life in a way that’s both authentic and fun. The area is easily walkable, making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon of exploring. There’s a wide variety of unique shops, candy stores, souvenir spots, and interesting museums, plus a great selection of restaurants and bars — whether you’re in the mood for a casual bite or a sit-down meal with river views. Old Sacramento is more than just a tourist spot — it’s an experience. Whether you’re a history buff, a foodie, or just looking to enjoy a scenic stroll, this riverside district is well worth the visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Sacramento area!

Spent the morning walking through while waiting for a flight. Area was lovely to walk around, and we enjoyed the short history bulrups. Along the corners. They were informative , but Short Which kept me from feeling like I was reading a novel. Down side to be there in there early in the morning shops were not open yet. However, there's a lovely coffee shop one could get breakfast at to kill time while you wait to shop.

The Old Sacramento Waterfront is such a gem. It's full of charm, history, and great local energy. Whether you’re walking along the cobblestone streets, browsing through unique shops, or watching the river roll by, there’s always something to enjoy. One of my favorite stops is The Atrium It’s an absolute must-visit! It’s a creative hub filled with local art, sustainable brands, and friendly makers. You can shop for beautifully handcrafted pieces, sip and paint in their cozy art space, or explore the gallery to see inspiring work by local artists. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and creativity and a wonderful way to support Sacramento’s art community. A great place to take your family or out-of-town guests to relax while exploring the Capital City's history. It's a magical feeling to drive a modern EV imported from Vietnam over a brick road built in the 1800s for horse-drawn wagons. There are many shops, waterfront restaurants, and even the California State Railroad Museum if you love old trains.

Zoos & Aquariums
Situated on 14 acres within William Land Park just east of Downtown, the Sacramento Zoo is a popular family attraction that has been drawing visitors since the early 20th century. The zoo houses over 140 species in habitats modeled after their natural environments, including tundras, wetlands, mountain ranges, and tropical forests. Visitors can get up close to rare and endangered animals through VIP hands-on experiences or feeding encounters.
My son and I had the incredible opportunity to attend an Overnight Safari at the Sacramento Zoo — an experience tailored for Cub Scouts, though they also offer a Family Overnight Safari that I’d highly recommend to any family with a child who loves animals. The event was filled with magical moments. From a small amphitheater-style show featuring live animals like a red-tailed boa, a horned owl, and an opossum, to the care demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities, everything was thoughtfully designed to engage and inspire young minds. Spending the night inside the zoo was a unique adventure in itself. Waking up and getting to explore the zoo even more the next morning — before it opened to the public — was a major highlight. We rode the train, the carousel, visited the gift shop, and took our time visiting all the animals we missed the night before. The staff were exceptional: kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their work. They made the experience even more special for my son and I. If you’re considering something memorable for your child — especially if they’re a Scout or simply love animals — this is it. An amazing time that we won’t soon forget!

It was fun we went in the morning so it was a little cooler. We bought tickets online in advance as they are cheaper and depending what day you go the price is adjusted so definitely check online. All of the animals were out and enjoying their day. Staff was super friendly and was enthusiastic.

A Small zoo, good for very young kids <7 years. Sac zoo has limited number of animal exhibits out of which a few are under renovation at the time of visit. Plan early to catch the animal feeding times fun. Usually happened between 11 am-2 pm. Zoo has good shade all over due to tall trees so a hot afternoon is fine to visit. - Big animals like Lion, Rhino, Giraffes exhibits were great! - Reptiles section had literally nothing inside except 1 Rattlesnake. - Plenty of parking space across the road. - Short electric train ride is good for kids and adults both. - Gift shop is expensive as expected. - Limited food options inside the zoo.
Yugank S — Google review
Throughout the years I have always thought of the Sacramento Zoo as being far too small, the enclosures for the animals too confining, but this last visit I noticed that they have made some changes that have improved the habitats greatly. I would still LOVE to see the zoo expand to give more room for the animals and maybe even more exotic animals. I would love to see more ability to learn and interact with animals that we may not experience in our daily lives (I know safety has to be considered) but to be able to get kids more interested in working and protecting wildlife I think would be awesome. Sacramento Zoo, I see you making the effort, I applaud you and hope to see more! Thank you for a great visit!

Loved this place! Decent number of unique animals, with a wonderful habitat for many. My toddler absolutely loved the flamingo area. Was pleasantly surprised that the closing hour does not equate actual closing time - whilst listed as 4pm closing, you're actually allowed to stay till 5pm. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): Entry 1 adult $27 A-Z moving animals kids book $19.52

I loved this small and cute zoo. It has a lot of cool animals like lions, giraffes, capybara, red pandas, okappi (the only living relative to giraffe). Very clean and quite. Giraffe feeding was the best experience! Recommend buying tickets days in advance as it can be much cheaper than buying at the entrance which is 27 per adult.
Tatiana P — Google review
It was my first visit of the Sac Zoo. I was slightly regreted by the pass ticket. Based on the notice on the kiosk, it said $29 per adult (members $25), kids under 5 - free. However, we spent $77 for 2 adult and a child 4 y.o. and additionally, $3 for 3 minutes for a corusel ride. Despite on it, I was surprised how clean and non-stinky air is there. Animals are super clean, calm and friendly to people. Some of them even came very close to us. Mtake sure do not feed them by regular food. Otherwise, you will be walked out from the zoo or even banned for the further visits. There are many stuff who are watching visitors to preventing the rules violations. Some bioscientists can share cute stories about animals which their cared and studyed. We heared the story about rhinoceros, whose name is James George and who is waiting for his girlfriend's tranfer. Another gentlemen told us how they tried to de-escalate abusive relationships between parrots ("domestic violence :) ). Some animals took naps in their shelters (because it was a bit hot day - weekend afternoon) and we were unable to see them. A serpentarium is too small and there are only few animals. During our visit, we noticed that some terrariums were under renovation and it will be great to see new animals who get their cozy homes. Sac Zoo can offer an open-air conference room and there is a picnic area for some family events but you cannot bring alcohol there or to be too noisy that do not scared animals. It is a very good place to have fun activities for a whole family and groups. Highly recommend!

The Sacramento Zoo is way too small and honestly not worth the money. The experience feels rushed, and there isn’t much to see compared to other zoos. On top of that, prices are outrageous: bottled water that should be $1 is sold for around $7. Definitely disappointing for the cost.

The California Automobile Museum is an unusual and diverse museum that showcases a wide array of antique cars, offering exhibits, classes, and a gift shop. As part of the 2020 Free Museum Day, it was one of the local museums participating in the event. One of its latest exhibits is 'Hitting the Road: Road Trippin Through the Years,' which features popular cars from past cross-country excursions such as wood-paneled station wagons, Volkswagen campers, and Shasta trailers.
Went here on a free museum day and was amazed to see a great collection of beautiful cars. Being a resident of Sacramento for so long but did it know about the museum; perhaps this needs to be publicized bit better. I have been to many automobile museums and this is surely one of the best. They have e free parking, volunteers to assist, a gift shop and restrooms. On normal days tickets range from $8 to $12. They do allow visitors to sit and ride on those classic cars; do check their websites. Overall highly recommend!

Such a cool place! Focused primarily on Ford vehicles, there are some early models from before the Model T. Our two docents (Bob & John?) were incredible sources of information and my girlfriend and I just geeked about to our heart's content. (One of the museum's early supporters, Dick Ryder, was my wedding chauffeur in 1990, driving us around in his beautifully restored Pierce-Arrow {not Packard}, so it was kind of a pilgrimage for me) So, so, cool, so many gorgeous old autos, so much interesting history! Highly recommend!

Had some spare time so I thought I'd pop in here. A lot of neat older cars and some more modern ones as well. Don't think I've ever seen so many cars from the 1900s in one place. They currently have a lot of Mustangs on display. Not a bad way for a car person to spend some time.

This museum has an impressive collection of vehicles and great informational displays. I've been to Sacramento numerous times and have thought about going here but never got around to it. But this trip, I walked from Old Town Sac via the waterway (about a mile down a beautiful clean path) to finally visit, and I'm so glad I did! The docents are lovely with tons of knowledge and it just happened to be the 3rd Sunday in the month so it was Sunday Drive Day. This means, with your ticket, you get a short drive in a car of your choice (about 8 to choose from). The car for me and my partner was a 53 Bel Air. I had an amazing time at the California Auto Museum during free museum week! The collection of classic cars is incredible, and the knowledgeable staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I've driven by his location plenty of times, I always wanted to go. I thought I'd take the opportunity to check it out doing the free museum week. It's a good learning experience for little ones if they are interested in cars. You get to see what cars look like before there were self driving cars.

I had a couple hours on a Wednesday morning to spare before a flight and thought this would fill it. I had a wayyyyy better time than I expected. The front desk folks were friendly and welcoming, and a kind gentleman offered to guide me through with some storytelling, if I was interested. There was no pressure, and I knew I might be tight for time, so I decided to view the cars on my own, but the conversation we had about the early vehicles was very cool and there’s a lot of history I never knew about. I regretted not having him guide me through the whole place. I met the owner, too, he was super friendly and was working on the cars! At the time, there were mustangs being featured, and I was able to sit in a Model A and a Mustang that day. A great memory.

Amazing place it's got all of the information on a stand about the car you're looking at. The cars are really well preserved and look brand new. You're able to get inside of a few cars and they have a fun little gift shop. 5/5 Star would recommend.

Governor's Mansion State Historic Park is a must-see in Sacramento, California. This Victorian mansion, built in 1877, served as the residence for 13 governors and their families since it was purchased by the state in 1903. The mansion features beautiful gardens landscaped in 1877 and boasts seven marble fireplaces with petticoat mirrors. Although visitors cannot go inside, they can admire this impressive Second Empire-Italianate Victorian architecture from the sidewalk on H Street.
All I wanted for my birthday was to see this glorious Victorian! And my wish came true ✨️

Disappointed! It is very hard to take a nice picture of the Mansion. Too many trees around are blocking the view. Also, it does not look like anyone actualy lives there. Beautiful building, nice location, wasted resources.

This is a great place to visit. So many great stories and lots of docents to give tours throughout the day. I was amazed to learn how much maintenance goes into an old home like this. I laughed at the stories of how much Nancy Reagan hated this house. This is a great old elegant home full of history.

The Mansion is a Stunning historical Sacramento building. The details of the exterior and interior are beautiful and prove to be delicious and addictive. I want to see more. The elaborate white on white exterior with layer upon layer of workmanship is simply amazing. This building is worth seeing up-close. The mansion is full of Sacramento history. The stories include many famous individuals including John F Kennedy. I'm not one for tours but this one is fun and beautiful. Great people work here who are very friendly and passionate about this historical state park.

The Eagle Theatre, located in Sacramento, California, is a historic landmark and the state's first permanent theater. Originally built in 1849 during the Gold Rush era to entertain miners and pioneers, it was reconstructed after being destroyed by a flood in 1850. The current theatre closely resembles the original structure and offers tours showcasing Sacramento's captivating history. Despite being owned by state parks, it functions as a fully operational theater with impressive acoustics for enjoying shows.
Hospitality for our Special Convention delegates happened here today!! It was so wonderfully amazing!!!

Pretty historical place. Went Hebrew on February 4th which was a free museum day. They were playing a video of a theater play that was recorded in that same theater.

This is one of the coolest gems in the Historic Old Sacramento district. It's owned by state parks but is a functional theater, and you can definitely enjoy the show there, the acoustics are amazing! The only downside is that the AC is finicky so it can get a little warm.
Julie K — Google review
Sorry not sorry... I love Old Sac. But the Eagle Theater is not worth a special trip. It's an old dusty building. If you are on a guided tour, the stories and the history they talk about are a plus. The people that work there are passionate about what they do . I have only had positive experiences with them. Visit Old Sac and patronize the vendors. I'm always surprised that it's not more crowded when I visit. If they are having an event like a play or film please be aware they have authentic wooden benches for seating and the restroom is outside the building. Occasionally, the building is closed for an event.

I actually got to "act" in a play on this stage during our tour with the Sacramento History Museum, and it was super fun. Apparently it's identical to the original. If you go in the Summer, it's very hot so you can kind of pretend that you're in a sauna.

Golden 1 Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Sacramento, California. It serves as the home of the NBA's Sacramento Kings and also hosts a variety of concerts and events throughout the year. The arena, which opened in 2016, boasts striking architecture and is LEED-certified. In addition to basketball games, it welcomes touring acts such as Kanye West and Lady Gaga.
I recently visited Golden 1 Center in Sacramento for an event, and I had a great experience! The place is modern, clean, and well-designed. As soon as you walk in, everything feels organized and welcoming. One thing that really stood out to me was the sound and video quality—it was amazing. The audio was super clear, even in the upper sections, and you could feel the event without it being too loud or uncomfortable. The video screens were huge and super sharp, so no matter where you’re sitting, you can still see everything on stage clearly. That made the whole experience much better, especially during the live show. The seats were comfortable, and the arena felt spacious but still had a cozy vibe. Staff were helpful and polite, and there were lots of food options—everything from snacks to full meals, with some local choices too, which was nice. It’s also in a great location, right in downtown Sacramento, so you can walk to restaurants and parking is nearby. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Golden 1 Center for concerts, basketball games, or any big events. The technology, the atmosphere, and the energy of the crowd all make it a memorable place to visit!
Bibin C — Google review
We watched Maroon 5 here! AMAZING SHOW! Section 210 Row B. Our seats were awesome! It was worth the 3 hour drive on a Friday to get here from bay area. I def prefer this place over Chase in SF. The seatin is not a steep. There's lots of restaurants within walking distance. Parking garage is next door, less than a 10 minute walk. Inside there lots of beer & alcohol vendors and different food. We had dinner at YardHouse and cookies from Insomnia cookies, so we just snacked on popcorn and bottled water during the concert. Oh they remove all caps from the sodas and waters...FYI. We'll be back!

I watched my very first NBA game here — Lakers vs Kings — and it was such an amazing experience! The exterior design is stunning, with a modern metallic finish that looks great day or night. The crowd outside was full of excitement, and everyone was wearing jerseys, taking photos, and getting ready for the game. Even though I bought one of the cheapest tickets, the view was much better than I expected — I could clearly see the players and their movements. The lighting, sound system, and energy inside the arena were absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was electric — thousands of fans cheering, the big screen showing every play in perfect clarity, and the staff were super friendly and organized. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Sacramento if you love basketball or want to feel the real NBA energy in person! 💜💛

Great venue to see a concert, drinks can get pricey and their Bag policy is very strict although they now have a bag Check booth outside the venue. Lots of Eateries and Bars to fuel up on before your event.

We were here for the Linkin Park concert. Good quick access from all sides. Lots of doors and staff, so the huge queue moves quickly. Easy to navigate inside. We like to walk, so we left the car in a parking lot 15 minutes away, where there was plenty of space and it only cost $5.

RJ A — Google review
Last night’s Playboi Carti concert at the Golden 1 Center was nothing short of electric — from the moment I parked to the final lights-out roar of the crowd, everything about this venue and experience was perfectly smooth and high-energy in all the right ways. Let’s start with parking — honestly one of the easiest concert arrivals I’ve had at a major arena. Downtown Sacramento can get chaotic on event nights, but Golden 1 Center has their system dialed in. Signs were clear, attendants were friendly and professional, and I found a spot within minutes. Leaving afterward was just as seamless — traffic flowed efficiently, and I was out of the garage and on I-5 in less than ten minutes. The moment I walked up to the arena, the vibe was unreal. The crowd energy was buzzing — people dressed in full Opium-inspired fits, camera flashes everywhere, and the bass from the sound check already rumbling through the pavement. The staff at the entrance handled the lines quickly and courteously, scanning tickets with zero hassle. Security was on point but not overbearing — friendly, efficient, and respectful. Inside, the venue itself looked immaculate. You can tell Golden 1 Center is kept in top shape — everything from the polished floors to the sparkling restrooms (yes, even mid-concert) showed how much pride the staff takes in maintaining the space. Concessions were clean, lines moved fast, and the staff kept smiles on their faces all night despite the huge crowd. I was seated in section 122, and the view was perfect — close enough to feel the energy but still wide enough to take in the full stage design. The acoustics in this arena are next-level. You could feel every bass drop from Carti’s set, but it was clean and balanced — not the usual muffled distortion you sometimes get at big shows. The lighting setup was insane: flashing strobes, blood-red beams, smoke bursts timed perfectly with the beats — the production team absolutely crushed it. And Playboi Carti himself? Pure chaos in the best possible way. The energy in that building was unreal — mosh pits breaking out, fans screaming every lyric, the floor bouncing like a living heartbeat. Every track hit harder than the last, and the transitions were flawless. You could tell Carti feeds off his crowd — the intensity, the movement, the wild sense of community that forms in those moments. One thing I really appreciated was how attentive and cool the staff were throughout. I saw employees handing out water to overheated fans, helping people find their seats, and keeping everything under control without ever killing the vibe. It felt safe, organized, and fun all at once — a perfect balance. When the show finally ended and the lights came up, the whole place was glowing. Cleanup crews were already out making sure exits stayed clear and trash was picked up — another detail that shows how well-run this venue is. Overall, Golden 1 Center delivered an A+ experience from start to finish. Easy parking, spotless facilities, organized entry, great staff, and world-class production made this one of the best concert nights I’ve had in years. If you’re planning to see a show in Sacramento, there’s no better spot than here. Thank you Golden 1 Center for hosting an unforgettable night — and thank you Playboi Carti for turning the city into a full-on inferno. Definitely a 5-star experience across the board.

The Lady Adams Building, now home to the popular Evangelines costume shop, stands as one of Sacramento's oldest surviving structures. This resilient brick building has endured significant historical events such as the 1852 fire and the 1860-61 floods. Situated in Old Town Sacramento along the river, this historic landmark was raised to its current level in 1865.
The Lady Adams Building in Old Town Sacramento, California, is a beautifully restored building with loads of history. The building is located in the heart of Sacramento's famous Old Town District along the Sacramento River. The Lady Adams Building is now designated a historic building. Built in 1852 as a wholesale and import house for four German immigrants who arrived on the brigantine "Lady Adams". It offers comprehensive exhibits on various aspects of California life, making it an essential stop for anyone looking to delve into the state's heritage. Additionally, visitors can explore other landmark sites nearby, such as the Crocker Art Museum, Governor's Mansion State Historic Park, Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park, and many more.
This was activity to do with my son on the weekend. For those who very small budget or low income, they give discounts as low as $2 for the entry fee. This place full of information and interactive things. There’s also activities for kids and adult adults. My 11 year-old enjoyed going with me and reading about Pearl Harbor the women in history and also about all the displays of objects from the past.

The museum itself is rather small, but it's so worth exploring. I enjoyed reading about the history of the early Chinese immigrants, the Japanese internment, and so much more. It’s raw, honest, and immersive, using photographs and interactive storytelling to explore both triumphs and harsh realities. It spotlights California’s diverse culture and history through interactive, inclusive displays. The price is only 10 for an adult. We parked on the street.
Thuy M — Google review
I volunteered with an elementary class. The museum is spectacular with their beautiful paintings and historical pieces but can do so much more as far as elevating the museum historically. They include some games for kids which is great. They can track their scores and get points for participating. There were so many great exhibits and real people who represent specific events in our past. The major downside I saw was that there was some overly biased views that took away from some exhibits. One alarming comment I found was the idea that the Japanese who came to America were "survivors". They were detained, but to elevate them to "survivor" is a mockery of those refugees who faced actual interment camps across the globe. They should change this wording immediately. Social justice may seek to elevate shame upon America, but not at the expense of truth. Where are the great feats of California such as the Great Depression and the Donner Party and the dangers of reaching the West. Sutter's Fort, westward expansion? History is not meant to be sanitized in the name of social justice. For example, the gold rush is basically portrayed solely through the eyes of the Japanese that worked the mines. I did not see a mention of James Marshall anywhere.

Amazing experience! So much information and history available for my son to learn about. When you buy tickets it says 45 minutes but we spent well over an hour looking at the exhibits. They are interactive and there are many opportunities for kids to draw or interact with the exhibits. Loved the Unity section and the History of Japanese internment camps was very informative. The Native American section is a good place to teach the kiddos about how natives from the U.S and Mexico are one. I love the music section as well!

The venue hosts an array of talented artists, from local favorites like Jackie Greene to renowned acts such as John Prine and Micky Dolenz.
Attended for a preview screening of the PBS KVIE Ms Austen series. The theatre is very well kept. This was my first time here in over 8 years. The staff was very friendly and the seating area was clean. Would love to come again for another show!

Went for the pod meets world live podcast. "The kids still wanna jump! Tour" with Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel & Will friedle. Parked in the cathedral parking lot 4 minute walk. Got in line when doors opened at 7. Line moved. Concession stand had 🍿, soda & wall of candy. Lower level half bar. Had canned beer & select liquor. I got a Bacardi Coke. The nice bartender was patient as I perused options. Seats are tight and odd numbered on the floor left side where we sat. The speaker was in the way but still had a great time as the couches were centered. Millennial friendly as they played 90s hits. Restrooms were close to the seating.

Saw steve-o here, so immediately makes the experience fantastic, but more specifically the seats were roomy and you had a good view of the stage regardless how far back you were. The concessions stand was full of fair priced snacks and drinks, and their was even a connection door to a little bar if you want something a little stronger. Would gladly come back to see some more shows!

Cool old school theater, concerts are cool to see here, but movie screen needs a bigger upgrade than the typical old pull down looking projector ones. So much fun! Well the trick is that you have to kinda go with two cars, so you can take one car and leave it down the river and other up the river where you start. When we got there, there were a lot of people, but over all everyone was friendly and just trying to have a good time! Lots of people were attached to each other, by the looks it was as if they were all in many different groups! It was busy and I wish people would recycle bottles more! I saw a lot of floating bottles and punctuated rafts. I am thinking about bring my kid here next time, it would be a blast for a kid! it was well spent 4hrs just floating down the river! And thinking about whatever comes to your mind since you are just nature glazing!

The Theodore Judah Monument stands as a tribute to the remarkable achievements of Theodore Judah, an influential figure in the 1800s and 1900s. As the chief engineer for the Sacramento Valley Railroad, he was instrumental in driving a railroad through the formidable Sierra Nevada mountains, defying skeptics who deemed it impossible. This monument commemorates his pivotal role in constructing the Central Pacific Railroad that connected East and West frontiers.
Hidden landmark of incredible significance! Here is the text on this monument: THAT THE WEST MAY REMEMEBER. THEODORE DEHONE JUDAH. PIONEER, CIVIL ENGINEER AND TIRELESS ADVOCATE OF A GREAT TRANSCONTINENTAL RAILROAD. --AMERICAS FIRST-- THIS MONUMENT WAS ERECTED BY THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY, WHO IN 1930 WERE CARRYING ON THE WORK BEGAN IN 1860. HE CONVINCED FOUR SACRAMENTO MERCHANTS THAT HIS PLAN WAS PRACTICABLE AND ENLISTED THEIR HELP. GROUND WAS BROKEN FOR THE RAILROAD JANUARY 8, 1863 AT THE FOOT OF K STREET, NEARBY. JUDAH DIED NOVEMBER 2, 1863. THE ROAD WAS BUILT PAST THE SITE OF THIS MONUMENT, OVER THE LOFTY SIERRA - ALONG THE LINE OF JUDAH'S SURVEY - TO A JUNCTION WITH THE UNION PACIFIC AT PROMONTORY, UTAH, WHERE ON MAY 10, 1869, THE "LAST SPIKE" WAS DRIVEN.

Stopped by for an early evening visit with Theodore as he was basking in the sunset light. Paid my respects to the man and his legacy. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to stop here after I visited his actual grave in Massachusetts a little more than a year and a few months ago. Beautiful remembrance for the man that did so much to bring about the transcontinental railway. On the other hand, its placement is unfortunate because it backs up to a busy and noisy highway filled with the many horseless carriages that doomed the American passenger rail system.

Gunther's Ice Cream is a beloved long-standing landmark in Curtis Park, Sacramento. Since 1940, this retro-themed cafe has been serving up homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors, along with ice milk, sherbets, sorbets, yogurts, and frozen fruit juices. 50/50 fruit freeze is nice and fruity but not too icy. There is just enough ice cream sandwiched between the two freeze layers to enjoy the creaminess without getting grossed out (but maybe I’m just an odd one out). All of the flavors look so yum!

My personal favorites are the 50/50 (strawberry and/or mango freeze + vanilla/pineapple coconut/coconut/taro/coffee ice cream/mint chip) but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff are always friendly, and even when the line wraps around the corner, it’s totally worth the wait. Gunther’s isn’t just an ice cream shop — it’s a Sacramento tradition. Perfect for family outings, date nights, or just treating yourself after a long day. Highly recommend! 🙌🍨

I came here on a Sunday evening during the long Memorial Day weekend. The line was halfway down the block but it moved quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ice cream is delicious and I would totally return. Parking was easy and we were also able to get a table to enjoy the ice cream.

This place is great. It's small but you will find a number of different flavors of ice cream, shakes, Hawaiian ice & much more. Yesterday 5/14/25 we went during the day & got lucky, it was not that busy. Usually the line is always out the door, but the wait is worth it 😊 We ordered 50-50 Hawaiian Ice with Vanilla Ice Cream in the center 😋

What a gem! We had a marvelous time visiting this interesting and somehwat novel building and the tenant wineries. Clarksburg area grows some very good quality grapes and have very skilled winemakers and servers in the individual wineries. It was a pleasant experience all around. This is a unique venue and well worth the time to visit. You'll not be disappointed! They also have food trucks that come and hang out for the people server some grub. We plan to return the next time we are in the Sacramento area. 100% recommend!

We had the most incredible experience at The Old Sugar Mill for our wedding, and we can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we walked in, the venue took our breath away. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, with its historic charm and elegant beauty. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the venue all night long! A huge shoutout to Amy, our wedding coordinator, who made the entire day run seamlessly. Amy was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented, ensuring that everything was exactly as we envisioned. She took care of every little thing, allowing us to enjoy our day without a single worry. It was clear that Amy was fully invested in making our day perfect, and she truly exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Amy and The Old Sugar Mill, our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. It was an unforgettable experience that we’ll cherish forever.

Highly recommend! We went on Tuesday afternoon and there were only a few other groups there when we arrived. Country Road Wine Cellars was open but most of the others had closed. We did the tasting for $15 which for 6 pours was extremely fair. They waive your tasting fee if you purchase any wine which of course we did. Our server was very nice to both our children and attentive to us when we needed something else to try.

We hosted our wedding here this month and I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only is the property beautiful, but the staff is so friendly, professional, and on top of everything. Our venue coordinator, Amy, made planning a wedding a breeze. We also had some wine tastings here for our wedding and the staff at each winery is equally welcoming and friendly. We got so many compliments from our wedding guests on our choice of venue. Our wedding was the most perfect day and a huge thank you to Old Sugar Mill for hosting.

Awesome destination location with 14 different vendors serving great wine and various wine based refreshments. Food trucks on weekends. Beautiful grounds with area for weddings. Located along the Sacramento River in an old Sugar Mill in river Town of Clarksburg, Ca. This place looks like a Disney attraction place in the vineyards. A MUST VISIT if you are out in the Sacramento, Elk Grove area. Accessible from the Delta area along route 160 or off the 5 across the Freeport Bridge. This place is a "Must Visit" for all wine lovers, couples out looking for a great time, and adults, period.

Nestled near Sutters Fort State Historic Park, The Sofia, Home of B Street Theatre is a charming dual-theater venue that has been captivating audiences for over four decades. With an intimate seating capacity of just 140, it offers a unique atmosphere for enjoying contemporary productions ranging from classic plays to exciting debuts and engaging children's shows. Originally founded as a touring company focused on children’s theater, B Street has since expanded its repertoire to include performances aimed at adults and various music events.
My new favorite local theater! We are subscribers and love every production over the past year and excited about the 2025 season! Classy, affordable, great acting, great seats, full bar (with real glasses) special events and freebies to subscribers. There is a family series and music venues as well. Two restaurants next door, make it a wonderful day or evening experience you don't want to miss!

The Sofia has some fantastic Event Spaces available for rent! As a long time patron, I just held an event in Gallery A for the first time, and I loved the experience! The room has great natural light and a patio deck attached as well! Tables, chairs, a sound system, and bar options are all available for rent, and more! The staff is beyond helpful with planning and set up. Check out their website for all the available rentable spaces. The price was super reasonable, especially for the great location! I definitely recommend using the Sofia for your next event.

Went there for a separate performance so pure logistics I can't review but as a place? Very nice. Good seats, relatively responsive bar tending staff. Good venue for the space. If you go to the opera house in down town? This seats are scores better than those.

Great theater and good parking at Sutter garage and on the street. The theater has quite a slope which means no matter how tall the person in front of you is, you still have an an unobstructed view. But it does mean your vantage point is rather high up. So lower down seats are still preferable.

Excellent venue no matter the occasion. I have mostly attended events hosted here for nonprofits but the space is bright and gracious, and the staff are wonderful.

The B Street Theatre’s production of The Art of War is a fantastic tour de force of a comedy—a perfect mirror of American culture in this moment. A very philosophical friend once reminded me that art which is truly current is vital, as it reflects and expresses the culture specific to its time. Dave Pierini’s world premiere—his screenplay and production of The Art of War—is a fine example of contemporary dramatic art. What begins as a seemingly superficial tit-for-tat drama quickly turns visceral, revealing something entirely different—surprising, entertaining, and brimming with recognizable stereotypes, sharp dialogue, and witty quips. I’m already on the lookout for the next production at the exceptional B Street Theatre.

Great and free attraction right in middle of the city. So you can combine this with a visit and take free tours of the Senate. The roses in various colors and hues are the main attraction. Behind this magnificent garden (that is so well maintained by the ground staff), there is a peace memorial & multiple benches. Not to mention an entire park over 5 blocks and multiple trees from different parts of the world, all labeled. Try to pick earlier in the morning for best lighting and avoiding the crowds. Popular spot for graduation pics, so plan accordingly.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Sacramento, the Sacramento Masonic Temple stands as a testament to early 20th-century architectural brilliance. Built between 1913 and 1918 by renowned architect Rudolph Herold, this five-story gem showcases intricate design elements that reflect its rich history. Since its opening in 1918, it has become a sought-after venue for weddings, corporate events, and various celebrations due to its elegant ballroom and spacious layout.
Masonic Temple's great architecture and historical charm added to the beautiful atmosphere at Nayeli and Samuel's wedding. The venue was made for a unique and stunning backdrop for a wedding, with its rich details and grand spaces allowing for some truly memorable shots. Great venue for all events. I personally have been using it for Ladies Night Dinners. Perfect location to hotels and food. Must see ballroom many beautiful weddings have been arranged on the huge floor from 1918.
Dave C — Google review
My school had our prom at this venue and it was very elegant and big. It had stairs and an elevator. A big ballroom floor, rooms off to the side, it had an area for dining and taking a break. However I feel as though they should put more bathroom stalls in for the bathrooms because there were only 2 and we had over 300 prom goers. The bathroom was spacious though for the girls... Idk about the guys obviously. But an overall 4/5 because I really enjoyed myself.
Leilani S — Google review
Been here a second time, the venue is nice. Be careful with restoring the room to the original condition. The temple is nice, but they took a $150 deposit away because it was not returned to the original condition, hence, not clean. I made a walk through around the temple and it was almost the same as the way I left it in. There was some candle wax on a single piece of table cloth and some chairs were slightly out of place. They claimed that the damage and cleaning will cost $150 since the table cloth had candle wax and it was not clean when I left. There is no way all of that costs $150.

The Ziggurat, an imposing structure inspired by ancient ziggurats found in Mesopotamia, is located on the banks of the Sacramento River in Sacramento, California. Constructed for The Money Store, the unusual perpendicular lines and pyramid-like shape make it one of the most impressive buildings in Sacramento.
Definitely a cool building. When I was across the river in Old Town sacramento, this building caught my attention because of its unique shape. It was definitely worth walking across the tower bridge into West Sacramento just to photograph this building up close.

An Evening Stay on the Delta Queen right acrost the way is not what you might expect now. The newer water break and walkway has Harbor seals all night long hooting and hollering. It's impossible to get any descent sleep. Earplugs don't work. If you spend that much money on the Delta king, the Ziggurat needs to address this situation. The fix is easy. A temporary 2-sided barrier installed on the walkway will fix that...🙄

Great place for a celebratory dinner with an amazing view of the river. The staff is kind and helpful. The food was pretty solid; however, the Brussels Sprouts (didn't get a chance to take a picture) were by far the best and are something I could have every day.

The Delta King has a wonderful atmosphere and ambiance. Absolutely loved looking out at the water and watching the boats go by. Our server was awesome and funny. It was my birthday and he took pictures for us and made it a great event. The food was the only downside. Honestly, no one at our entire table of 11 thought the food was good. It was edible but there was no flavor, seasoning, taste, had to ask for several condiments to make the burgers edible. The drinks tasted funny too. But - again, we had a good time and appreciated our server's attentiveness, and enjoying the views.
Darcy J — Google review
The waiting staff was very friendly once they finally attended to us. I was waiting at the hostess stand for a while before someone even addressed me despite the several people who walked past me and helped people right before me. The cocktails were great! The menu was not accurate and they brought out something that I was not expecting. The food was also not great. We got the fried calamari which came out burnt-ish. They were very nice about taking it back for a new one but they brought out a very similar product that wasn’t great. We also got the flatbread and that was just okay, only enough to share with 2 people. The Cajun pasta was pretty good. The crabcakes were just okay as well. Not very flavorful. I would not be able to recommend this place because of the expensive prices and the food not being very good.
Carly C — Google review
Excellent!!! Shrimp Louie was great, but too big for 1 person unless you're having it for your entrée. Flatiron steak was great as well, and was cooked perfectly. The only negative was that the waiter asked if he should bring the salad out first. I said yes, but only around 5 minutes after getting the salad, out comes the steak.
Vito A — Google review
NIce atmosphere, a little formal. Great service. Mushroom appetizer was very good, drinks were good. We split the Cajun Linguini, and it was good, but more salty than it needed to be in our opinion. We did split the meal and it was enough to satisfy both of us.

Two years ago we enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving Buffet dinner with my family so when my step dads birthday came up two weeks ago we decided it would be perfect. The service was terrible, the staff were unprofessional and lacked training. The food was disgusting. My flatbread was undercooked and floating in pesto sauce. The dining room itself was not clean. Carpet was filthy. By the time we left, Old Town didn’t feel safe. A shame for Sacramento.
Diana P — Google review
Beautiful setting. Who doesn't love drinks on a boat? $11 for a French 75 with a fresh lemon twist is pretty fantastic. $9 beer. Friendly bartender.
Alison C — Google review
One Star - A Truly Disappointing Experience Save your money and go literally anywhere else. We had heard the Delta King was a cool landmark, so we decided to try the Pilothouse Restaurant for dinner and drinks. It was a massive mistake from start to finish. Let's start with the drinks. I ordered an Old Fashioned, a classic cocktail any decent bartender should know. What I got was a poorly mixed, syrupy mess. It was clear the bartender had no idea what they were doing. Speaking of which, the staff overall seemed completely lost and, frankly, rude. They acted like they were doing us a favor by being there. The food was somehow worse. The menu looked suspiciously familiar, like they photocopied it from Scott's Seafood down the road. But where Scott's food is flavorful, the Pilothouse's version is incredibly bland and lacking any soul. I ordered a burrito, and it arrived as a sad, deconstructed mess with all the condiments on the side. Was I supposed to assemble it myself? It was laughable. The only reason this isn't a complete zero is that the server was trying their best (a generous 3-star service in a 1-star world). The atmosphere inside the old ship is cool, but that's all it has going for it. A word of warning: do NOT stay here. Our friends' room had no working AC, it was unbearably hot and noisy, and the staff was just as rude at the front desk. Overall, a terrible experience with bad drinks, lousy food, and incompetent service. Just go to Scott's.

Museums
The Sacramento History Museum offers a fascinating journey through local heritage, art, and the Gold Rush era. Visitors can explore historic print shops and take underground tours led by guides in period costumes. The museum provides insight into the city's past, including its anti-flooding measures that led to abandoned underground spaces and streets. For those interested in delving deeper into history, special Underground After Hours tours are available for adults over 21.
The Sacramento History Museum has so much information about the rich history of this area that more than one visit is recommended. There is something for everyone, from children to grandparents. Learn about the formation of the Capital City, view a kitchen from the 1920's, and learn about the historic fires that have happened in the Golden State. There is also an exhibit about the earthquake of 1906 in San Francisco and an enormous amount of data from the formation of Sacramento, to the raising of Sacramento's buildings following the Great Flood of 1862, to the Gold Rush era, which brought many miners and their families to Northern California in search of riches. There is so much more to offer in this incredible museum and we highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning about the history of Sacramento and Northern California.

The Sacramento History Museum offers a decent glimpse into the area's past. The exhibits are informative, although some could use updates. It's a solid place to learn about local history, but it didn't quite leave a lasting impression. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

If you go to the Train Museum next door first bring your receipt to get a discount on the museum or the underground tours. Cute little museum. With discount by showing train museum receipt we paid $12 for two. It was worth it for that price. We missed the underground tour, 😢. But hopefully next time we can catch one. I didn't know about Campbell's and it's history in Sacramento so I learned something new. Staff was ok not much interaction there except purchasing tickets. Bathrooms clean. Wheelchair accessible and there is a elevator. Cute museum glad we saw it.

It was such a fun experience! I've lived in the Sacramento area for over 15 years now and I still learned more about this area! The staff are very friendly and helpful. And there's a plethora of different topics with historical items so you're bound to find something you're interested in! I came down April 5th specifically as they were holding a collaboration event with the California OES to learn more about earthquakes and how to prepare and be safe! The earthquake simulator was very fun and I learned a lot about how I can prepare for a natural disaster that comes with no warning. It was also very nice to see the printing press I've seen in so many of their official TikTok/YouTube videos. I didn't get to meet Howard this time but I did get a photo with Alex who also features in their social media posts! Overall such a good time and walking around old sac afterwards is always fun 10/10!!

I paid for the underground tour tickets on our way to the museum - unnecessary; but the small museum was great. The highlight was definitely the walking tour. We did the regular underground tour they have multiple times a day, our guide was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time and I learned many things I hadn't heard before. I'd love to come back and do the later underground tour for 18+ sometime. Great visit, great history.

We booked onto the underground tour and were not disappointed. An interesting guide who was engaging and willing to answer questions. A great opportunity to see the original level of the town that is otherwise inaccessible. Really cool museum! I honestly didn't have high expectations but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I learned a lot, mainly that Sacramento has a much more colorful and intriguing history than I knew about. It's also very spacious - there's a lot to explore. My 5-year-old even enjoyed it. We did the underground tour first, and it was super super interesting, and museum admission is included in your tour ticket. Recommended!

The Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum is a free-admission replica of a traditional 19th-century one-room schoolhouse. Visitors can experience the past with costumed interpreters bringing history to life. The museum is part of the Free Museum Day in 2020, where various local museums participate, offering visitors a chance to explore different aspects of California's rich heritage and culture.
Good place to learn about the history of school house.

Great reproduction of an 1849 school house. On the day of our visit our guide gave about a 40 minute lecture on the history of schooling during the time (this was quite boring). I would have rather been able to tour the school house on my own and have read about its history in a brochure or pamphlet. I went with a large group so maybe having 40 people all over this 800 sq. foot room would not be good.

This cute museum is run by friendly voulenteers with a passion for history. If you happen to catch it while it's open, (weekday mornings/early afternoons are your best bet) come on inside, look around, and say hello! You can write on the slates on the desks, flip through the old textbooks, and maybe take something home from the small gift shop. All in all, a great place to stop by if you're in Old Sacramento.

Great piece of history. Playground is accessible and some shade to sit down. Schoolhouse has a historian who will answer all your questions.

If you have a Elementary Class your students will learn a lot from this great re-creation. Very well spent hour.

I've went there in 4th grade for a field trip! I've never seen an old school, and yet there it is! This trip there is truly amazing!

Like going back 100 years incredible even smells like books and school. Women dressed in costumes from the era answer questions and have a wealth of knowledge.

The Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is a famous live music venue in the city. It has been used for concerts, stage productions, and other events for over a century. The auditorium has a large stage and comfortable seating.
Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is an absolute jewel! The lovingly restored venue is steeped in history and very nostalgic to visit for any type of event, or as a venue for an event of your own. One of the outstanding features of the building is all the hand-crafted plaster work that adorns the building. You just don't see that level of craftsmanship in modern structures. The venue is located close to Old Sacramento, the Capital Building, the Safe Credit Union Performing Arts Center, Golden 1 Arena, the California Railroad Museum, and much more. Do yourself a favor and attend an event there. You will be happy you did.

A bit of a barn sound-wise. Beautiful and nice place to work but not the best venue for sound or lights.
Jakob P — Google review
Awesome historic venue to see a concert. Great floor set up with seats along the rim, beautiful architecture and art work. Sound quality was super solid.

It was awesome that the cast of Critical Role came to Sac Anime at the memorial auditorium. There was plenty of space and the side rooms were awesome for video games!

Had a great time at the @therockorchestra last night. Great show, lots of fun.

This place is a beautiful place. There is a large amount of seating for events of all sizes. It has been used for everything form shows to graduations. There are plenty of street parking. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Great place to watch a program.

A beautiful entertainment space. We watched an amazing magic show here. Very nice experience. The prices on the sodas and pretzel were a bit high. 7.75 for a pretzel ....

We went there for a kids theatre-style show. The place is beautiful, has its history beautifully showcased throughout the building & the staff on duty from security to those at the counters selling drinks & snack was very nice and thoughtful. Thanks!

New Helvetia Brewing Company, located on Broadway in Land Park, Sacramento, offers a diverse and ever-changing tap list that reflects their staff's eclectic tastes and draws on old traditions and new techniques. The brewery boasts a comfortable tasting room and courtyard biergarten for visitors to enjoy. Named after the original settlement founded by John Sutter in 1839, New Helvetia celebrates Sacramento's rich history while investing in its future.
Fantastic beer, comfortable atmosphere with friendly land park and midtown locals and excellent staff. Also very dog friendly! If you haven't stopped by and tried New Helvetia beer lately it's worth a second try, their craft has changed, evolved and improved dramatically in the last year and a half. It used to be one of my favorite spots to being the pup cause of the comfortable laid back neighborhood atmosphere but these days the beer quality and decent prices are right up there for reasons to keep coming back. About half the days of the week they have food trucks parked out front or in the back area and most of the local restaurants will hand deliver next door if you call in and ask them too. It's also family friendly so kids welcome. Looking forward to going in later this week for a pint.
Brad B — Google review
The inside and front tables are nice but the back patio is fabulous. No street noise, breezes and sunshine, the perfect place to enjoy a beer. Some nice options on tap, but a usual an inordinate amount of IPAs. Something like 60-75% of the board, which is the trend at the moment for breweries. I had high hopes for the food truck but that didn't pan out. Next door Nepalese restaurant is where it's at.

Definitely one of our places in sac for beers. Fantastic staff, solid beers, food location
Kristia P — Google review
Sac Town’s hottest bar is New Helvetia. This place has everything: Twinkling lights that make you feel like you’re stuck inside a snow globe. A trivia night that challenges your brain while you sip on a drink that’s part science experiment, part tropical vacation. Get ready to post that Insta story with their wall of fame that whispers, ‘Legends drank here.’ And yes, there are people, always ready with a smile that says, ‘Welcome to the family, but first, let’s take a selfie.’ If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of the mysterious poetess with her curly mane, reciting verses that make you question reality, or just the amount of beer in your glass. The bar counter’s as long as the list of ex-lovers you definitely shouldn’t call, and it’s topped with festive decorations that make every day feel like a holiday. But the real treasure? It’s the ‘Trivia Night’ paper that doubles as a treasure map to the heart of this wonderland. So, grab a pen, a pint, and a pal, because this bar’s bizarre bazaar of delights is the night out you never knew you needed.
Anthony S — Google review
As I walked in attempting to dust off the chill of the day I was met with warmth, but not only that in the way of temperature. The smell in the air was that of beer brewing mixing with the smell of a bar that we all know and love. It wasn't just smells that were in the air that night but also sounds. There were orders being taken in haisty tones, seriously serious sounding hushed conversations, laughter here and snorts there, salutations being delivered some happy others sad, and possibly a gulp or two. An environment dynamic as this one I have only read about in books... As I was completely immersed in my surroundings I was pleasantly surprised when my beer arrived, then my next, and then my next. New Helvetia fires on all cylinders and im pretty sure there's at least twelve of them. Having gone to and enjoyed many breweries, calling this one my favorite is a monumental accomplishment. Thanks to my father for taking me out for a pop or five!
E. L — Google review
Great red beer. Great wheat beer. Great pale ale (not pictured) what more do you want? Fast service and a bar? Free Wifi? Yeah, they got it. A food truck? I would give this place five stars just for being a good brewery/tasting room, even if there were no food option. But I am looking at a mobile pizza purveyor, and I didn't try it, but that 'za looks fresh and delicious.
Stephen M — Google review
The beer here is really good. The facility was OK, but the bar area had an off smell to me, so we set outside and drank our beers. Hopefully that's gone next I go. Because like I said the beer is good.
Corey S — Google review
First time here. IPA was decent. Server was friendly. As someone who likes food with his drink I was a bit disappointed with the lack of food options. Ordered a taco plate. Tasty but pretty expensive for a small amount of food.
