One of the best bars in Taipei! The vibe, music, and people there are amazing. As a foreigner living in Taipei, this bar is one of my go-to places for gatherings with friends. The bar has both outdoor and indoor seating, with a variety of drinks. They serve craft beers, cocktails, and also some snacks. On the second floor, there are always live music events—check their page, as a ticket is required! The place is simple but magical in itself! Check it out if you near the Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall :)

Revolver is a very cool hangout. Outdoor spillover crowds are common and they have constant, reasonably-priced live events. The happy hour is a great deal.

This is a bar with a live band. The band on the day of my visit was interesting too. We went there on new year eve and it was not super crowded.

If the entrance fee for music were 300NT, not 450, it would get 5🌟. Acoustics are good and it has snow excellent lighting system Drinks are generally good value too.

There was a live act going on upstairs. We paid 600ntd for the entrance plus one drink included.I wanted dark rum with cola but they couldn’t (for an unknown reason ) do it so they put white instead. After that we had a couple of dark rum with cola 250ntd each which is fair. At the end my wife went to the bar to bring 2 shots of sailor Jerry to finish the night and charge her 250ntd each. Unacceptable because on the menu a normal drink of sailor Jerry costs 190ntd. For all the drinks that I order they provide receipts.But to her they didn’t.We thought that would be a trust worthy establishment. But apparently if you a foreigner they try to rip you off!!! (the name of the bar makes so much sense) So ask prices before you order and receipts because maybe they will overcharge you under the table! It’s so sad to feel that they treat you differently according where you are coming from !!!

If you’re from the Philippines, this place gives you Cubao Expo vibes. Music was great, art and ambience was superb too. There are gigs most of the week and art fairs too. Looks like one of the best pubs to go to in Taipei.

Loved the youthful energy of this bar .....needed to pay 500 extra extra to watch live band performance upstairs. It's great value to see the artist in such intimate settings. The cute girl with tattoos collecting the money for the entrance fee was astonishing helpful, friendly, and polite . Yet when some of the expat crow became rowdy, she really took control of the situation to control the rowdy expats quickly....... Listening to jam, this jam session was incredible....need more people like this in the world. Bar staff was young and efficient....in serving up my thirsty old man needs.....Rock on Revolver.

Not too bad to have a quick fix for your thirst of beers . Lots of beer variety with IPA, cider, Pilsner, craft beer etc.. indoor and outdoor sitting for you to enjoy the beer. Small place and near to lots of eatery place. Don’t drive there as hard to find parking ! Decent price with good beer choices!

A cool tap room and their beers were great and full of choice with no doubt. Pity that some people might be too familiar with the tap room (or got drunk?) and acted rudely and noisy there. Ruin the atmosphere, totally.

It’s a small shop with good overall vibes (save some artless rules and threats of fines). The beers we tried (all of the IPAs and fruit beers) were so-so, as was the service. The beer flight is a good option, if a bit over-priced.

Went there to grab a quick drink before our dinner. There is a minimum charge if you go there. The waitress kept reminding us. She mentioned 3 times. Service wasn’t so great , the waitress was just not attentive because she just kept focusing on a male customer and we had to call her few time to get her attention. Beer was great.

The atmosphere of this place was really cool! The stuff were so kindly and there were bunch of crafted beers. Additionally, there were many delicious foods. I really recommend here!

Amazing quality beer. Tried a beer paddle of 6 different Taiwanese beers and all were delicious. Staff were friendly and clearly knew their beers. Come here if you like beer.

Very good craft beer. It is not cheap, but it's expected that You will leave more money. Enjoyed our visit, had the "beer flight" (6 small beers), each was unique and tasty. The staff is friendly and good. 5 stars are deserved :)

I LOVE THIS BREWERY. It feels so “American” here and I LOVE it! The manager Cyprus is awesome, he’s always walking around greeting and serving guests. (I always give brownie points to managers who help the staff on the floor!) His English is good, there’s usually at least one English speaking person working here. The beer here is great, they have tons of options (even sour ales). You can find something for everyone here. They have a few tables outside to sit at as well. I’ve been bringing all my new friends here. This really is such a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a beer or two.

A nice little bar off the famous yongkang street. It's small inside but the decor is trendy. Also the on tap beers are pretty good and fairly priced. Chill vibes. I would definitely go back.

Another iconic Taiwanese craft brewer, Jim & Dad’s is a much needed escape from the lacklustre Ximending nearby. The several beers I tried were all enjoyable. Great selection of merch inc. beer glasses can be bought as well. The upstairs area has a relaxed vibe with dim lighting, but can also sit at the bar.

Really nice craft beer joint with full selection of Taiwanese domestic craft beers. Staff speaks perfect English and accommodate your needs well.

Some of the best beer in Taiwan, and enough variety you'll almost certainly find one you like. Nice to see some Oregon (USA) beers there too (Block15 from Corvallis). Friendly staff and chill environment to chat and enjoy their offerings.

Selection of more than 8 beers. Rotating tap. You can taste a sample before you choose what to drink. There's something for everyone. Beers of all kinds. Pale Ale, Ipa, Weisse, Ale, Red Ale.

What a funky little craft beer bar. They have 8 different beers on tap. Very weird ones too, like rice ale or asparagus beer. The bartender spoke good english and gave me sample to try some before ordering. There is a great ambiance to this bar, where you feel welcomed. Additional setaing available on the first floor. Alcohol is expenisve in Taiwan so this place is not cheap either, but the uniquness of the drinks they have worth the price.

A great and chill craft beer spot in Taipei offering different beers of a local brewery. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the beers were great. There are many options on tap, and even more options in the fridge.

expensive but nice to try some interesting craft beers local to taiwan - highly recommend the tea beer. we tried the asparagus beer which was not our thing but it is so unique and worth trying - really does taste and smell of asparagus!

There a lot of Taiwanese Beer also the price also very affordable. The Taiwan Jasmine IPA from the tap was very mild, aroma with hint of hops, and herb, medium to medium light body. Aftertaste noticeable. I hope i can drink there all beers but there so many lol.

This is probably one of the better speciality brewers in Taipei, a lot of novelty beers. Most have tea or special favoring. On certain days there’s all you can drink special

This place was the best of craft beers hoping in this trip. I went to many craft beers places that selling this brand of beer but tasted off. So, I did my homework and finally found the original place. All the beers we ordered none of them were flat or taste off. The snacks were good too. The lady that served us was so friendly and explained a lot of details for each beers. We were very appreciated. Hope we met again soon. Thank you for the warmth welcome for our last visited.

Awesome craft beer that comes in really interesting, diverse, and delicious flavors and forms. They even do Berliner Weisse - not the syrup drenched mix drink - but rather the sour and light beer that used to be an absolute staple of the Berlin diet until the middle of the last century. And they do it really well too... In a cucumber and a passion fruit version. With every beer you get a little cardboard card with the awesome graphic designs they do for each beer and a few facts about it. Will definitely be using mine as a bookmark. Their food also sounds great and I'll have to be back to try that, maybe also the coffee they serve every day before turning into a bar and then Wednesdays, I believe, they also offer sales and swaps of music carriers here like CDs and vinyl!

Amazing beer bar in a cool neighborhood. They open early, so a great option for day drinking. The bartender was a fellow Canadian living here in Taipei. The place doubles as a record shop, nice vibes. 8 taps, all locals, and were quite good. I like that every beer came with a description card. Prices were typical for craft beer in Taiwan, so a bit expensive. Even with little to no customers on a Thursday afternoon, I felt right at home. Didn't try any food, they have pizzas among other things. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love 23 Public! The beer is excellent quality and very tasty, the food options are fantastic (the pork was particularly delicious) and the service was truly wonderful!

Cozy place for a brewed beer, great variety of beer choices including IPA and some other flavors. You can choose different size and try different taste, not yet disappointed by any one. Some food choices here but not too much! The place is relatively small so it might fit better for a group of less than four. Nice place to go with friends for a drink after work!

Good place to have some fun time hanging out in small groups. The place isn't very big but doesn't feel any bit of uncomfortable. The beer collections are good. If you are pretty much into beers, I would recommend Big Poppa Wee Heavy dark beer. The bartenders are young, still learning but are already good enough. Happy hours would be the best time for this bar.

Walked in, ordered a large Helles, took a sip and was surprised: The beer was totally flat, no CO2. Tasted like a bottle that was opened a few days earlier. Told the barkeeper and got the answer that "this is normal for Helles". Well, in my hometown which happens to be where Helles originates from it's not normal for beer to be stale. And I've spent enough time on both sides of the tap to know how to easily remedy it; with the CO2 lever. The barkeeper didn't intend to fix it though but recommended me to drink another beer instead - which wasn't much better. A barkeeper in a brewery outlet should definitely be trained better. Until then I suggest to go and have a beer at a convenience store instead, they will taste much fresher. And be cheaper. Far better CP value as locals would say.

Great beer collections from bitter to smooth light beer, fantastic for a beer lover. Some may seem to be very artificial beer; I would say it's totally fine if u try them all and somehow it's taste fully matches the given name on the menu.

There are 5-6 draft beers to choose from, and a decent selection of bottles and cans. The atmosphere is chill and the seating is a bit cramped, but overall it's okay.

The beer just doesn't taste good, and the vibe is weird. They charge 250 dollars plus a separate service fee. Honestly, you'd be better off just having a bottle of beer at the Hyatt.

AMAZING! I stumbled upon this place with my friends and had so much fun. The beer is yummy and affordable. The service is what puts this place on top though! The workers are so kind and warm. (Also the workers speak great English, so it’s helpful to us foreigners) The music and atmosphere is great too. I’d recommend this spot to anyone visiting Ximen who wants a drink 🥰🥰😍😍

Chill place for great craft beers in Maji Square. They have both draft beers and a fridge with a wide variety of craft beers from around the world. Bartenders are super friendly. There is also outdoor and indoor seating, a nice option to have when the weather gets super hot and humid. Really awesome place that I look forward to coming back to regularly!

Great little beer oasis located within a market of sorts with small shops and restaurants. On the day I visited (Sunday), there was also a farmers market close by. They had a selection of both local beers as well as international ones. 8-10 USD for what they had on tap. Very friendly and serviceminded staff.

Excellent beer bar in the heart of Taipei, in some sort of refurbished space, a concept that seems to be popular everywhere in the world. 6 taps, all locals, and a fridge full of bottles with local beers and a good selection of favorites from Belgium and the USA. Friendly service at the bar, the guys know the beer scene very well. No food other than chips and popcorn. Prices aren't cheap, but aligned with all the other beer places I've been to so far. Tap beer freshness was impeccable. Recommended for all beer lovers.

Visited on 24/12/2022, busy place and location by Taipei Expo. Local drafts and a lot of imported craft beers from Europe and USA. Arguably the best selection in Taipei.

Probably one of my favorite places for beer. They've got a decent selection of beer plus taps. On Friday and other days they have some cool activities. I can also bring food from outside and do my beer pairings. It's heaven for me. The staff is quite friendly.

A true pub with an outdoor patio in front. Prices for beer a bit high but ambience was great. We walked in to find a live music session which was wonderful and apparently happens every Thursday 8-10pm!

Good British pub serving the normal fare. The service was good. Nice place to strike up a conversation. Good beer selection.

Good vibes, good fish and chips. The fish fillet is around 6-7 inches long. Nice.

You can’t find so British bar elsewhere in Taiwan. Almost not going again because time restrictions policy before. We just want to enjoy the atmosphere and football games.

Nice and cozy place. Choice of tap beers is not huge, but descent. I really liked their mushroom burger for it's huge juicy tasty peace of meat. The burger has its own taste which does not interfere with nice taste of meat. Strongly recommend.

The cool vibe, most of the staff were bilingual which is good for foreigners, the food & drinks were great! The location is also accessible, good pub choice for those who wanna chill after a busy week at work or uni. The Quesadilla & original burger we chose were 👌🏻

Finding a British Pub in Taiwan was amazing for us. From the draft beer and food, to the service and atmosphere, everything was amazing and well catered for. We loved the feeling of being back in the UK even for a short time. The food was very authentic and delicious and the beer was exactly as i'd expect in a UK Pub. I went here for a few beers having looked at the menu. The selection of beers was great and very tasty. I ordered two flights and was not disappointed with my selections. The pour sizes for the flight could be a little bigger considering the price - I’ve had better value in other places. The food was ok but the service was great. The atmosphere was lovely and very welcoming. I met some wonderful locals who were very friendly. The staff at the bar were also lovely. I would recommend it and return.

By far my favorite place when in Taipei. The beer selection is ample and the list is thoughtfully selected. The beers are absolutely delicious. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The playlist and art work are on point. I highly recommend and cannot wait to go back.

Excellent bar for those who love good craft beers. Staff service is friendly. Loved the first floor, drinking stand up feels healthier. I guess the food is nice considering the variety on the menu. Next time I will try it.

Such a lovely atmosphere! The food felt way too good for the price - seriously impressive. The staff were all so kind and helpful, it really made a difference. Drinks had a special touch that made them stand out. I truly enjoyed every part of the experience. Can’t wait to come back again!

Had a great time! Went to this pub 3x within our 5 days stay in Taipei. Had the best time. Their beer tastes so good. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Eugene and Jim, very helpful and attentive. Oolong beer is my favorite! Must try!

If I could rate this place more than five stars, I would!! Seriously amazing!! The first impression walking in was so welcoming. They have seating for groups, couples, and singles. They are very openly LGBTQ friendly with a trans flag at the entrance as well as on one of the menus. The atmosphere is funky with the wall of beer cans and the tiger art, but also super cozy. The craft beers were so, so good. I am not usually a beer drinker, but every single one we tried was incredibly delicious with lots of depth of flavor and fruity notes. The food was 10/10. We got the truffle fries, Doritos nachos, and the Taiwan fried chicken basket. I wasn't expecting a lot from any of the food because I hadn't read any reviews about this place and I was just thinking it would be run of the mill bar food, but it was incredible. Even the Doritos nachos were really good with super fresh pico de Gallo!! It was really surprising because the price was also pretty affordable. We are only visiting Taipei for five days and I already want to go back.

Taihu Fresh Baked Key Lime Pie. Fruited Berliner Weiss. 8.5% ABV - Tarty, fruity and packed full of lime on the nose and finish. Taihu The Hazy Captain Caribbean. TDH Hazy IPA. 7.5% ABV - Stone fruits on the nose with a sweet mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Taihu Driftwood is such a fun and vibrant spot! The atmosphere is always lively, with great music and a friendly crowd that makes it easy to enjoy yourself whether you come with friends or even on your own. The staff are welcoming and create a really relaxed, positive vibe. They also have a solid beer selection with something for everyone, from easy-drinking styles to more adventurous brews. A perfect place to hang out, enjoy good drinks.

20 years since an enterprising young buck went from Taiwan to Bavaria to learn brewing from the arguably best (though i feel nowadays craft brewing is nearly everywhere & the secret is out) 20 years in Neihu (& now expanded to 2 more) -- serving up family dinners & post-work cheers i asked why Thai to couple with beers & the simple, easy answer was the owner enjoys the cuisine & the customers have replied in kind as when they experimented with Italian at a new location -- people preferred Thai with their beers got the vermicelli (cause not too hungry) & the crispy pork & Chinese broccoli cause could not resist both came seasoned more lightly Thai than per Thailand but it was a welcomed medium of Thai & Taiwanese expectations that make the dishes more palatable & went well with brews (all 6 & all note-hitting & distinct -- get the beer flight -- no doubt) families & work groups filing out at end of a late leisurely lunch staff warmly chatting as folk exit & folk saying they'll return soon for this occasion or work event Jolly is a part of this community it's a place to kick back & watch the game it's a place for families & work families the epitome of the neighbourhood pub + a fine kitchen delivering spot-on fusion-Thai cuisine come for your local Bavarian brew & take a few longnecks to go tMac 🦖

This place is more like Thai fusion done right. I can’t say it’s authentic Thai cuisine but it’s delicious nonetheless. They also offer a few selection of draft beers. Definitely one of the best Thai joints in the area.

The food are delicious and spicy. Real Thai and Indonesia flavor. But the table place is a little bit crowded and food is giving up slowly.

Their craft beer selection is impressive, not just from Taiwan but from all around the world. However, if you’re someone who needs more vibes while drinking, this place could use a bit more in terms of music, lighting, and overall ambiance to create a livelier atmosphere.

We went to this bar 3 times in a row during our trip in Taïwan. Perfection. The cocktails were all well prepared and delicious, and they have both classic and signature creations. I highly recommend the Coffee Fantasy and The Flower Is Blooming. They have a large selection for beer as well, with tastes for everyone (fruity, porter, doubel/triple IPA...) The food was good as well. The place itself is cozy and makes you feel at home. The staff was super nice and even offered us a round of shots when we told them it was our last night! I wish I had known this bar before, I would have gone there sooner!

Great bar with plenty of local beer on draft. Cocktail was amazing and service was great. They had some nice 90-00s music playing but appreciate that it wasn’t blasted to the point you can’t hear each other talking.

For an excellent beer experience, Floating Taipei is the place to go. Their wide array of great quality beers made for a very enjoyable visit.

Randomly picked a restaurant nearby to feed my empty stomach. No idea what to order ‘cause Thai food is not my top choice. But, this restaurant completely changed my impression of Thai food. We ordered Green Curry Chicken which was creamy not very spicy and had a touch of basil fragrance. Very good to go with rice! The Water Spinach with Shrimp Paste was not salty as other places but you still tasted the savory of shrimp. The best dish was the Fried Fish fillet with Lemongrass Sauce. Fillets were lightly fried and immersed in the lemongrass sauce with served hot to the table. The sauce was watery just like soup, so I scooped to my bowl to drink. It was very delicious. We took the advantage to order craft beers, only costs NT 25 for a small glass during lunchtime. What a steal! This is the best Thai restaurant so far I have been dining in Taipei.

The atmosphere was good, but the food was lacking. The green curry was fantastic though! Portion wise, the dishes are definitely not meant for sharing.

I would like it if it was a little spicier, but the food did too very good. I would definitely say go for the fish or seafood.

Visited for weekday lunch and was let down on multiple fronts. The restaurant appeared understaffed, resulting in extremely slow service throughout the meal. When I requested less ice in my drink, staff insisted it couldn’t be adjusted because they use shaved ice, yet my drink arrived with regular ice cubes instead. This kind of inconsistency is frustrating. Most concerning, several dishes I ate gave me diarrhea later that day, raising serious questions about food freshness and handling.

Jolly is a nice boutique brewery/restaurant specializing in Thai and western cuisine. Situated just a short walk away from Ximen station, it is quite convenient to get to and you can pop by Ximending to walk off the calories from your meal. Food is extremely delicious though the portions were rather small. Would say that the highlight of the meal was the shrimp paste fried rice. Service is really top notch as well what with the friendly and attentive servers. My only gripe would be the noisy ambience of the place, other than that a great place for a decent meal!

We were craving for some Thai food so off to Google we searched nearby, surprisingly this unfamiliar name of shop has, in my opinion one of the best Thai flavoured food in Taiwan. Fish, vege are very Thai, wished the portion could be bigger though. We also ordered papaya salad, looks and tasted slightly different but still appetizing. Lastly the creme Brule is excellent, love it so much, and one of the strong reason to come back next time! Environment is not bad, except quite distant to the washroom. Food is good, consider slightly expensive since the portion is small, plus could've gone with Thai rice also. All in all still recommended for the good taste.

If you asking me is it delicious, well it is. But as a Thai people who try Thai food in this range of price I would said is not that worth it. Combined with the bad service, very slow and we asking for rice but we don’t get it, even getting the check needed >15 min. Won’t come here again, won’t be sorry for it. Beer was good, but was the smallest beer I’ve had.

Nice cosy bar. It's small in size but big in personality. It has my favourite Taiwan Beer 18 Days and Guinness on tap, perfect for me.

Fantastic hidden gem. Great Taiwan craft selection, mostly US west coast beers on draft. Very friendly staff.

Kids in pub. Very poor service guiness challenge is a joke. Rude old female regular at bar scolding us outside while drunk and smoking. Decent sized place. Came on a sunday night around 11. No one was here but I didnt mind. Had the 2 local beers. Lager and pale ale. Really smooth. They gave a small container of cracker/chips. They used to be one of the top three places for craft beer and British bar food in Taipei, but then the owner sold it. Now the new owner and her friends take up all the bar space most nights, they serve whisky and generic Taiwan beer, and they sell the most over priced pot stickers in Taipei. Really sad to see the decline.

I’ve got to admit it was a Texas Tom BBQ pop up night, so that got be soft for giving an extra fifth star. The place is actually too noisy for my taste, but that’s just me, I’ve got sensitive hears. The beer makes up for the lack of space and the decoration helps to distract you from anxiety while alcohol kicks in. I didn’t got to try the regular menu, but it’s not expensive and it’ll provide the protein needed to balance the beer.

Feels like a place that is on the cusp of being great but isn't quite there. Some beers good, others "okay". Some food (surprisingly dessert) was great, the food I ordered was "okay". Maybe one of those places I need to know what to order in advance, but I would realistically say 3 to 3.5 stars if it was in another country that has better options.

First time visit last night with friends here. The food is delicious especially the chicken wings. I try craft beer ‘Sassy apple hard cider’ and it’s really good for me. Staff is also really nice and kind.

This restaurant offer good food, good beer and good vibes. The meals have big portions and seems to taste more authentic than other Western-style restaurants or beer bars. The drinks are also veru good since they sell beers in retail stores with the same name/brand. It is also good for large gatherings such as birthdays and company events since the space is a bit big but make sure to reserve ahead. They also have some cocktails and mixes but their beers are the highlight. English is available in their menu and there are some offerings daily that differ each day. Foreign credit card is accepted as a mode of payment.

Price is steep but the food is worth it. We go there for the wings but keep in mind they’re a bit salty. Definitely order their Cobb salad to go with wings—it’s the best menu combo, imo. Staff is friendly and quick to respond.

My favorite place to go for the best American food. Pretty much every dish was amazing. Atmosphere is like a bar suitable to hangout with your buddies. Will definitely be back for more. Lets also not forget the wide range of red point craft beers. My fav beer is the disco macau.

The best chicken drumsticks I’ve ever had in Taipei so far. Very crowded on weekends so be patient if there’s no seat available. The craft beer options are great and they let you taste them before ordering! (I’ve asked other places and some of them don’t allow you to). Great food, staff and place. Definitely will go back.

First time visit last night to celebrate a friend’s sendoff. Service was excellent by the staff on hand, courteous, efficient and polite despite a full house and our party of 20! Food was surprisingly good with the best Reuben I’ve had in Taipei and hot wings are worth returning for. Fun night and will revisit again.

My GOD This is the worst ABV I ever had in the past two years. In summer afternoon, it's super hot! You can have same beer in other ABV, way too better compared to this one.

Didn't try the food, the selection didn't appeal. They have a large selection of imported beer in cans and bottles, but vastly overpriced even by a Taiwanese pricing (450+ ntd per can) one I chose was 650 per can, more expensive than London, which I didn't think was possible! Save your money and go somewhere with on tap draft beer, or reasonably priced cans. The staff were fine, knowledgeable but didn't come across as very enthusiastic. I will not return anytime soon.

Beer selection was nice. Food was meh. More nuts than cheese, florentine was mostly fat. Observation deck was ok, sat indoors.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here, though it’s a bit noisy. If you like eating outside, you can enjoy a great view here! The quality of food is great, and the service is good, too.

Serving good portion of strong-flavoured food and a wide selection of beers, this roof-top pub-restaurant located near the old centre of Banqiao also has some good city view to offer.

Went here for my birthday dinner. Food was good, tho lacking inspiration. They have an excellent selection of beer. I had a Hobgoblin. Quite good.

It’s a great and relaxing bar& kitchen hiding in a building in Banqiao. Enjoyed the view and the drink so much. Another special thing is you can keep the cap and make your own.

The staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to customers. The drinks were overpriced and taste bad, and the food appeared to be mostly frozen and reheated in a microwave. The only upside was the free use of the pool table, but overall, a disappointing experience.

I’ve been to the brass monkey many times over the years and I keep coming back for the sirloin steak. It’s usually on special on Wednesday. It’s a good size portion, and the chef knows what medium-well means. Service is good and prices are ok for me. I’m a happy hour seeker and they have a decent deal on beer until 8pm. The negative for me is it’s a noisy place typically with several sports on the TVs simultaneously. There was someone singing on the Wednesday I was there for dinner. I finished the evening outside with my beer and a cigar 🙄 If you’re into western sports and like a busy noisy atmosphere then this is a fine place to catch important games (soccer, rugby etc.) Their webpage lists all the weekly specials they have; too numerous for me to remember. I’m glad to see they survived COVID; they stayed open 🙏 and I really appreciate I could get my steak. It was a bit lonely in there for a while. Anyway, a good bar atmosphere with good food and probably the largest number of foreigners in Taipei in one place any night of the week.

We visited this place while we were in Taiwan to watch the AFL. The staffs and services were lovely. It’s worth checking if they can play the specific sports or channels you want to watch before you go.

Came for F1. Had a fun night - was packed with F1 fans mostly staying through the race so either get a reservation or walk-in early. There are a few screens, commentaries in English. Had tacos, wings, fries with the local craft - was good overall. Recommended

Food is mostly English pub food, fish & chips, beef pie, chicken wings and etc. Price is around £12/dish. Staff is ok but not smiling. Atmosphere is normal. Pool table, darts and fusbol (table football). Sports are on televisions.

Awesome sportsbar. Watched Formula 1 with international people. Big selection of beer and food. Lots of space to stand or sit while watching sports. They have 1 big beamer screen in de first room the roombehind it has. Smaller tv screens on the wall.

I went for the Halloween event and it was a blast. The DJ kept the dancing floor alive, and the guests were having so much fun, they kept dancing. The food was okay for me, and the portion is huge too. And for the drink, because I couldn't drink alcohol that day. I couldn't comment much but my companions seems to like it. I've been told the free flow drinks were sometimes too sweet, but that's the only thing they picked on, which is normal in an overcrowded night like that. overall, I had so much fun. I would love to visit the place again.

Love the signature drinks especially THE PUBLIC #1 (refreshing), Plum & ROSE (easy to drink) and GUSTORONI (twisted negroni). Food is great truffle fries and spicy lasagna (not that spicy), wanna try other dish but a but full so maybe next time ❤️😆

Atmosphere 8/10 This bar is combination of a pub and a cocktail bar. Turned out quite authentic for a pub. A lot of subtle humorous elements were included in bar’s design/branding. But that’s it’s with positives… The drinks are very simple in terms of ingredients and presentation. I guess authentic for a pub, but not for a cocktail bar (which it is supposed to be). Also the cocktail taste was nothing special. Glassware is very simple Service 5/10 Even though the team seemed nice, it felt understaffed. Order took too long. Not much service besides water serving. Prices are average for Taipei This bar is ranked #44 Asia’s Best 50 Bars 2024. I strongly disagree. Not even close to a “best bar” experience. Clearly voted high and skewed, because it is a favorite spot of the local industry people (bartenders), which make up 50% of voting power for Best 50… Not helpful for a traveler looking for a great/unique cocktail bar experience

Known for its party vibe in Taipei city, this bar/bistro/pub doesn't compromise with concoctions. I really enjoyed Yellow Watermelon and vesper. very good. Vesper has bit of smokiness and this Plymouth gin is good to be mixed with other liquors. But, I found it is too crowded and the music isn't good for me. Most of the drinks are 400twd usd 13-14 per glass. and their portion is more than 100ml, I think.

Drinks are good enough. Staffs are working non stop and approachable. But there’s only one thing that makes our full experience become zero, which is the table near the toilet. If you guys want to take more people after Best 50 awards, please consider customer’s experience too. Try to sit on that table on a busy evening and drink the cocktails with the smell of toilet. Literally every second, people are in and out to use the toilet and you are getting the air from the door opening and closing. Really unpleasant. When we ask for bill and gave the feedbacks to the staffs, they are trying their best to solve it by offering shots and saying sorry but we paid and left because we really cannot be there anymore. Hopefully you guys take out that TABLE NEAR THE TOILET.

Good time here. Food was very good. Drinks were very good too though by this time we were a little over cocktails (given this was last place in our bar crawl for that night)

Recommend to call in advance to make a reservation as they are very busy lately. The second floor room is great for large groups and very private. There were many hits and misses here: Drinks: mojito- very poorly executed. Minimal taste of tequila and fresh mint. I could only tastes lime. Spicy margarita: the flavors tasted horrible. The only good thing of this concoction was that it was very strong. Gin tonic: where they too busy that they ran out of proper glasses to serve a gin tonic? It came in a cheap, flimsy looking glass with poorly shaped ice. Tea cocktails: they had three for the night. One was sold out but the two they had on the menu were creative and excellent. The only cocktails of the night that were good. Food: Excellent regular fries and meat sauce fries. Very good shrimp pasta. Tasted like homemade pasta. Good fried chicken. Mediocre squid dish Mediocre red wine beef dish Added bonus: the free chicken soup they serve you after you drink is excellent and a very thoughtful extra touch. Service: The waiter wearing glasses was very nice and attentive. The waiter with the slicked back hair was cold and very poor attitude. Overall, i would give this place another shot based on all the other rave reviews. I d sit at the bar next time on a less busy weekday to sample the skills of the bartenders. But based on this first visit, i d say there are at least a few cocktail places in walking distance that make much better “classic” cocktails than this place.

Visited in Aug 2024 Really good cocktail bar located quite centrally in Taipei. Ended up visiting the place a couple of times during my trip to Taipei. Good cocktails and decent bar food too. Ended up trying quite a few of their liquid concoctions. My favourites were the drinks named Gustorini, Noon and Public #1. If you stay till last call around 3am, you will get to enjoy a couple of their famous chicken soup too. This cocktail bar should be on your list of places to get a few drinks at if you’re in Taipei.

Had some cocktails and snacks with my wife here on a Saturday night after dinner. The place is tough too find if you don't know where it is and didn't read the instructions. You have to walk up the stairs on the right after entering MQ, walk past the black and white photos, and there's a hidden door on the left that should open. We spent a minute or 2 at the end of that hallway waiting and prodding around the walls before the door opened lol. Shared 2 drinks and truffle fries at the bar seats, so we had a good view of the bartender action. The drinks were good. I'm usually not a cocktail person but I quite enjoyed the alpine meadows and aloe no. 12. The fries were pretty good as well. Service was good, bartenders were friendly and professional. Ambience was dark and intimate.

Absolute banger! Never knew that cocktails could be this creative and mouthwatering. The team was amazing, especially Sky his off the menu cocktails were top notch! Best cocktail of the night was Blush and Cheese! Never thought about cheese on a cocktail but it was a hit. And those gummies were next level after few drinks! If you visit Taipei, must visit this bar!

The cocktails were so good and potent! Loved Alpine Meadows especially -- it was like a breath of fresh air in Switzerland. Aloe no. 12 was not bad too. Fries were decent. Only half filled on a Saturday night, which was very surprising. Ambience gives intimate vibe. To get to this place, turn right after entering MQ bar. Walk up the short flight of stairs, walk down corridor, door is on left side at the end. We will be back again soon to try other cocktails. Ntd1320 for 2 cocktails and 1 serving of fries.

A beautiful speakeasy on the 2nd floor of another bar. We arrived earlier than our scheduled reservation, but the hostess was kind enough to show us to our table. The place was dark and sexy, with both locals and tourists. We did have to wait a while to flag down a server given it was a busy night. Also, it was our server’s first night working at the bar, so he couldn’t really recommend any drinks to us. Luckily, all three of us found a drink that we enjoyed. The menu was extensive and filled with exciting new flavors that I haven’t had before. Would definitely return again if I am in the area.

A real speakeasy in town, find MQ bar and go upstairs. it's not easy to find. but cosy and nice. I thought I could have something Martini twist, but their signatures are quite sweet and sour based. I don't think it's gin-focused but more of whisky and rum. But I can order classics and hanky panky and vesper are quite decent. I also have a chance to try some Taiwan gin at the bar. A nice place to come and their music - jazz is so smooth and soothing. Not too fancy but decent. Good service and decent drinks!

This place could qualify as a “hidden bar”. Persistence (and Google map) helped me get there. I would come back again. More on the menu, that I can try.

Hell of a night out! Came by as part of my craft beer journey through Taipei and ended up staying until close. The brewer and barman has lived an interesting life from his humble beginnings in the U.S and is passionate about his craft. Pretty much worked through the list and all the brews are spot on. Nice chilled vibes, definitely worth a visit.

Really enjoyed ourselves in this brewery! Great selection of beers and a cool interior / atmosphere. We spoke to the owner who had a passionate mission of introducing exciting beers to the people of Taipei. Definitely recommend! Also the lady on the bar with glasses on was really sweet and knowledgeable with her beers - top service from her!

I truly think they are among the best brewers in Taiwan and I'm always excited by their new releases. I always pay a visit when I'm around as the beer is really delicious and the owners are beyond amicable and knowledgeable.

Great beer with great ambiance. I had the drift, the clarity, and the alpha which were all really good. The IPA I had here are much smoother than most of the IPA's I've had in the US. The service was great as well, the owners weren't here, but the workers who were here were all really helpful and easy to talk to. A great option if you're the area. The location isn't particularly close to any MRT stations, so you will need to walk for a bit.

Fantastic bar in Taipei. My friends and I were in town from Doha and had a truly great night here. Can’t recommend a visit enough. The best service. Tyler and Joe the owners were just so lovely. They even played the Asian Cup for us. The best beers. Delicious food. Perfect with beer. GOOOO NOWWWWWWW!!!!

Fantastic craft beer tap room. Easily the most friendly and easy to talk to crew we experienced. So knowledgeable about beer, so talented. They know the minutiae of every precise detail about brewing. Amazing beers - all six I tried were outstanding. Come here, and you won't be disappointed.

Came in here towards the end of the night after a quick google maps search of beer spots in the area. Very glad we made it here as we ended up chatting with Joe about the Taiwanese beer scene for a few hours. Learned a lot and tasted a lot of delicious local beers. He recommended a few spots that we visited the following day. Really awesome spot that I hope will make some must visit beer spots in Taipei because I would certainly include it on my list. If I am ever in the city again will revisit for sure.

white wine clams were super super good , the dessert shop with the old lady i highly recommend (inside a restaurant) it is SOOOO GOOD and friday night was pretty crowded. beef was alright... abit tough for my liking and the mochi is very interesting concept. but nice coz very chewy and handmade on the spot . would definitely come again

Legendary night market This is the one everyone is talking about. So glad we finally got the check it out. We went right at opening and the market was already packed. Two giant columns of stall after stall. My main issue is that it was so overwhelming. I was sad that I wasn't able to try it all. My favs were probably the fuzhou pepper buns (toasty buns cooked in a tandoori style oven filled with pork), the stinky tofu (super concentrated flavor, much stronger than what I have had in the states), and the roasted pork (I always love the look of giant hanging slabs of pork. It was super tender with a crisp crust. Loved how they sprinkled on five spice to finish the dish). We also tried the Gua Bao and grilled trumpet mushrooms/zucchini which were excellent. The freshly made shrimp rice rolls, which while looking amazing, were a tad too doughly for my taste. Washed it all down with a craft Raohe beer from TimeBeer, which offers free seating and welcomes outside food, with a purchase, of course. Will need to come back.

Out of all the night markets I’ve been to in Taipei Raohe night market has got to be my favourite. It’s exactly what you would expect from a Taiwanese night market, fully brimmed with food stalls and also external restaurants and stores on the side. So many places you must visit here food-wise and everyone is super friendly and famous for their specialities. It’s one big line that you just need to walk both sides of and surprisingly there’s barely any rubbish because all stalls take the trash regardless of what stall you got it from. Must go for first timers in Taipei!

The food are pretty nice and there are a great variety of food stuffs. Please see attached photos and videos including those hawkers owners "working in progress" preparing their food from the start to its finished products. Despite the rain when I was there on 22nd October 2025 many shops were closed. I love to come back for all the food there.

Raohe Night Market is an absolute must-visit! The place is always bustling with people, full of energy and amazing aromas everywhere. There are so many different foods to try — we indulged in the famous pork buns, crispy fried squid, doughnuts, and even a delicious melon pan–style bread, among others. The variety is incredible, from savory street snacks to sweet desserts. Every stall offers something unique, and it’s easy to spend hours wandering around, tasting a bit of everything. It can get quite crowded, but that’s part of the lively night market experience. If you love food adventures and don’t mind the crowds, Raohe Night Market is definitely worth the visit!

There are an enormous number of people. Although not very large, the narrow alleyways are densely packed with shops along the two sides of the road. There is a lot of food, but be careful as the smell of pork bones and stinky tofu can make you feel confused. The lines at famous restaurants are very long, and it's not easy to taste anything. However, if you want to see Taiwan's representative night markets, it is a must-visit place.

Raohe Night Market is my MUST visit everytime I come to Taipei. I like the food there and it gets crowded on Fridays and weekends. It was rainy Oct Taipei this time round for me, many stalls were not open due to the non stop rain for days. Big I was glad u managed to eat all the food I like. Still my best night market to me in Taipei 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The seafood here is incredibly fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. From uni hand rolls to premium sashimi platters, every bite tasted clean and high quality. The ambience and layout make it feel more like a curated seafood market experience than a typical restaurant. However, service left much to be desired. We had an initial server who was shockingly rude, bordering on hostile, and later spent about 15 minutes chatting with a friend while her teammates hustled to serve guests. The rest of the staff did their best, but overall service felt amateurish compared to the level of the food. Great for food lovers—but don’t expect polished hospitality.

Fresh seafood and plenty of variety at Addiction Aquatic Development. You can buy your seafood and have it cooked or made into sushi, or dine at one of the small restaurants inside, which often have better deals and air conditioning compared to the ready-made stalls outside. There’s also a quiet corner spot with a huge seafood platter for 1,980 NTD that’s worth trying. That said, I wasn’t too impressed with the service. Even though it’s mostly self-service, it’s still quite pricey. We spent around 6,000 NTD on food, and when we asked about a crab we bought that was hard to eat, staff said it had been cut to help us. They walked outside where we were eating standing. We showed them pieces that clearly weren’t cut and were very difficult to eat. After complaining, they hesitated to help instead of cutting it for us, they just let us use their shears. A strange experience considering how much we spent. The public washrooms there were disgusting.

There are a total of 3 dining areas. The first one would be the kind, where you have to sit or stand by the counter, order their sushi and/or sashimi. The second one would be an outdoor sitting restaurant that focuses on bbq. The third one would be a restaurant, where you must select the seafood before entering the restaurant to sit. Kindly take note, for this restaurant, they do not accept credit card. They only accept cash. We went to the 3rd one. The seafood are definitely fresh however, the price can be quite pricey. A total of 3 of us paid $3000 for the meal. You can take a look at the photo to see what we have ordered. To those who hasn't visit this place before, I would say, give it a go and try for one time to experience the atmosphere.

I’ve been here many times, but this visit was for a company gathering , and it was just as great as always. The king crab was incredibly fresh, sweet, and perfectly cooked — definitely the star of the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly even though the restaurant was quite busy. The other seafood dishes were also delicious and well-prepared, especially the sashimi and grilled prawns. Overall, it’s a great place highly recommend for anyone who loves quality seafood!

A supermarket in Taipei Fish Market is packed with fresh seafood, vegetables, and Japanese food like sushi, sashimi, and ready-to-eat meals. You can pick ingredients and have them cooked at the chef’s bar. Very convenient, clean, and full of variety.

food ok, price ok, service dreadful. One of the worst qualities of a wait staff is attitude, maybe it's the culture here, sometimes I don't know who is serving who, and who is paying who, is that a Taiwan thing? I don't know, this place has fresh seafood, but don't expect to be able to dine in, everything is "to go". You would have to stand outside in Taipei's humidity and heat, and sweat, not the way you'd want to spend a vacation. I couldn't tell you why this place doesn't have a setup more comfortable so people can dine in comfort, and feel like you're being served rather than you serving and paying them for it. I'm wondering if social media is just taking its toll as usual where everything's overhyped by influencers who's only focus is generate ad dollars, and not about the truth. I might return for the fresh seafood, but will definitely do it a different way. The worst part is you have to pay cash, and you can run out of cash really quickly with what they charge for seafood. I had to recheck my calendar and make sure it was 2025 and not 1825, who doesn't accept credit cards in 2025, or any other form of digital payment. The one thing that comes to mind tax evasion. and I sour on that note. so I did come back on a second visit with a bit more cash, and the taxi driver that took me there gave me some insight on this establishment, it appears that this market is catering primarily towards tourists from Hong Kong and China, so things are beginning to make a whole lot more sense to me now why it is the way it is.

I've been here a handful of times now, and whenever I'm in the area, I always make sure to stop by. It's a great fish market with a wide selection of fresh seafood, high-quality beef, produce, alcohol, bentos, and hot food. Inside the market, there's a standing seafood bar, a wine tasting bar, and even a hot pot spot on the second floor. There's also a restaurant with a cute outdoor seating area and a cafe/dessert stand. The service is always excellent. Definitely check this place out if you get the chance!

Sleek, modern bar/cafe in the luxurious W Hotel. Beautiful lounge bar for evening drinks or snacks, but also a great choice for a quiet lunch or coffee. We've been there twice for lunch, and it was virtually empty on both occasions, so very relaxed and enjoyable. Food is excellent, and the menu does have quite a few good choices. The chicken quesadilla, in particular was one of the best I've had. There is also an interesting gift shop adjacent. The location is excellent, adjacent to the Uni-President department store, and easily accessible from the City Hall MRT station, without going outside. There is an entrance directly from the department store on the first floor to the hotel lobby.

WooBar at W Taipei exceeded expectations! The ambience is effortlessly cool, complemented by fantastic views of the pool. The decor adds a stylish touch, and the service is impeccable. The menu boasts reliably tasty food, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking a delightful atmosphere and a culinary treat.

The main bar of the W Hotel in Taipei. Sleek and modern bar with great vibes and nice pool outdoors. We stayed in W, and were given two free drinks during happy hours. We ordered the signature cocktail, Taiwan Mule on the list. Alcohol was a little too strong for our liking, but the mix tasted good. It was slightly sour with a nice touch of sweetness. Definitely a great bar to chill and have some fun during the evenings while you are in Taipei!

Love the vibe here. Cocktail drinks are pretty nice, my picks are DETOX MARTEANI and TAIPEI MULE - recommend to everyone!! DJ music is amazing and it is definitely the highlight of the night! As for the price, I think is reasonable.

Chic atmosphere with DJ playing the music. You can sit next to the pool to feel the vibe! The place is to be seen and see people. The cocktails are well mixed. Other than that, I particularly enjoy the taco-rita night. Every Tuesday and Thursday, you could enjoy 5 types of tacos and 3 different kind of cocktails from 5 to 8 pm. Great place to chill out with friends after works!

Really solid bowl of 牛肉麵! The broth had a great depth of flavour but wasn’t too heavy. They were also generous with the meat, which is always a plus! We also ordered the 排骨 which was really special and the 炸醬麵! Everything was really solid and would definitely come again! Don’t sleep on the side dishes either (my fav was the lotus root and the eggplant)

This is the best beef noodle spot recommended by my cousin who knows food really well. I loved it! The beef noodle soup does not have tomato in it (or at least I couldn’t see or taste it). The eggplant and string beans were a good addition. Saw a lot of people who ordered the rice powder dish (it looks like fried rice). My friend and I came on a Sunday around noon and waited about 10min. The turnover is pretty quick, and staff is friendly.

Finally made it here, this must be one of the top 5 must try beef noodle shop for tourists in Taipei. Soup & noodle were ok but I was disappointed by the texture of the beef. The meat breaks apart easily in your mouth but tastes dry and sticks to the gaps between your teeth. This is the most I’ve ever paid for beef noodle by a big margin so I’d have to rank it bottom of my list. The guy next to me ordered the dark broth version and it looks tastier.

I dropped by on a weekday late morning, there was a queue of maybe just 5 groups infront of me, possibly due to the rain. After 10-15mins wait, we got in and was placed with another group of 2 to share a table. Ordered the large beef and tendon noodles and a side of steamed pork rib. They have a variety of other side dishes which we skipped. The steamed pork rib came first, the flavour and texture is so unique, I believed its mixed with sticky rice, and pumpkin at the base of it. The beef noodles would be one of the best I’ve had so far, the meat is tender and easily fall apart upon bitting while the tendon just melts in your mouth. Would definitely come back again if I ever visit Taiwan.

The beef noodle taste as standard taste in popular restaurant in Taipei. Soup is good with chinese herb as standard soup in Taiwan and taste is mild and balance with a slightly salty taste. Beef and tendon is ok, not very soft. Noodle has soft texture with little chewy. The texture is in between ramen and udon. Verdict: overall taste is in standard of beef noodle in Taipei. By the way, this is famous restaurant with long story in Taipei. You can try. The down side is you have to share the table with others if your group not fulfill the seat in your table. By the way, the taste noted in mind is the wonton with peanut sauce that makes me notice of this restaurant. I like the wonton with peanut sauce here a lot, recommended.

The noodles are good but not one of the best we tasted. There are two serving type, solo and for sharing. It is not salty or oily and the little spice for the flavor. The place is not that big but comfy to eat. Serving is fast as you will not that long to get your order.

Excellent flavor and perfectly balanced broth. The beef is incredibly tender and soft, and the noodles are cooked just right. A great place to enjoy authentic Taiwanese beef noodles🍜.

So happy the Gordon Biersch locations in Taipei didn't suffer the fate of the US locations as there are only three left in the US. The menu here is so large compared to the US one and they still have the same beers. I had the Golden Export and Marzen beers. They tasted the same as in the States. I ordered the black and blue burger. It was good, but needed more blue cheese. My daughter's chicken carbonara was really good as well as my wife's Caesar salad. This location has been around for years and this place was packed for lunch. Been here couple of times throughout the years visiting Taipei.

I don’t usually eat pizza crust, but this one satisfied me to the very last bite! Soft, freshly baked, and absolutely delicious. The pasta portions are generous too—perfect for sharing between two people. The staff are very accommodating and they are always ready to help with a smile.

GB is still a fantastic dining experience to this day. The food quality is great and the service is awesome, which is to be expected of the price. The pasta is flavorful and has a nice al dente texture. The burger was surprisingly good as well with juicy meat and not the dreaded overcooked dried taste. Beer is fantastic as well and pairs incredibly well with many of their food offerings. The only possible con is that the main seating area can get very loud and is not suitable for those looking for a quieter time. Overall very much recommended.

I ate here with my Taiwanese family towards the end of December 2022. I thought the service was great. We ordered a few dishes for sharing and there was plenty of food. It was kid friendly too which was helpful for my friend who is a mother of two. I ordered my usual iced latte and it was really nice. I asked the lovely waitress to take a picture of us and she graciously did. It was nice to experience this restaurant.

I really love the thin and crispy pizzas here—many of the flavors are delicious. The drinks are also well-made. It's a great spot to hang out with friends, and if you come with family, it offers a cozy and warm atmosphere as well.

Delicious food and lovely staffs. The food is amazingly well, pretty fresh and fascinating. The avocado salad surprised me with the silky smooth avocado slices, so good. I totally recommend ordering their pasta and pizza, pasta is well seasoned side with fresh seafood, and pizza crust is such a satisfaction. You must order their desserts, they amazed me with such plain dishes. Carrot cake is stuffed with cinnamon(though the cream was kind of too sweet). Cinnamon Apple bread pudding is such a delicate dessert. The drinks are also good, love their cocktails.

If you're American, this is a little slice of home. Food is overall very good, but the Southwest Egg rolls are amazing. Calamari and pizza are also wonderful. Cobb salad is also a great lunch choice. The shrimp tacos were also excellent.

There are two outlets adjacent from each other - one is for sitting down, while the other is for takeaway. Take your number and wait for your turn to be called - they’ll inform you which floor your table will be. Goose smoked to perfection. The 1-2 ppl serve option is was more than enough for me. I also had the liver and gizzard soup which was full of flavour. Highly recommended if you’re in Taipei.

If you like goose, then you must book a meal at A Cheng. The goose is sliced very thinly and served with finely shredded ginger which paired well with the savoury goose meat. Do order the goose oil rice which complements the goose meat well. The clam soup was very tasty too. Also like the steamed prawns. We had a great meal at A Cheng Goose Restaurant!

First time here.. very nice food…Smoked goose — tender, aromatic, and richly flavorful. The perfect balance of smokiness and savor, best enjoyed with shredded ginger with their signature sauce

Firstly, I'm not a fan of cold food. Every dish came out cold no warm at all. The Google translate wasn't useful in this place. The goose that we ordered was salty on with the bone leg very oily every single piece of meat had bone and fat attached to it. The vegetable was OK, it would be great if it had a little warm on it. I arrived at 13:22 hrs. I was waiting for more than 45 minutes to got the table after gave ready made order paper to staff then another 10-15 mins for rice and vegetable came. After almost finish the vegetable the first plate of goose came and half way thru the bone and oily goose came. But none of the food was warm. The toilet was extremely disgusting, women and men use to same one around urinate bowl of men there was a pool for pee on the floor. No staff come to clean it. Each time you use the worse smell you see.

Waited outside for like 30 minutes, just the two of us, but totally worth it. The roast goose was absolutely banging. The other meal was spot on too. Definitely wanna go back.

As I didn't have anything planned, I thought I'd just try my luck and see if the Queue would move fast, which amazingly, it actually did. Well, not THAT fast also lah, It still took about 21 Mins. Queue and Ordering Procedure for this Place. 1) Walk up to the Q-Number Machine and grab a Q Number Paper Slip. 2) Listen out for the Automated Machine Annoucement for your Number. (Note: This is spoken in Mandarin, there are No English Versions) 3) When your Q-Number is Called Out, approach the Entrance Staff with your Paper Slip  and they will direct you where to go. Hold on to this Paper Slip as you will still need it later. Note: This Place has 3 Levels. For People with Mobility Issues, do note that there are No Elevators. You have to Climb Staircase. That said, you can request to be seated at 1st Level if there is available space. Solo Diners seems to be mostly directed to their 3rd Floor as I've observed. 4) Once you arrived at your Designated Level, pass your Q-Number Paper Slip  to a Staff of this Level who will then direct you to your Seat.  Ordering of Food is through Pen and Paper Method  They have both Chinese and English Menu. Wait for your Food to be served to you. 5) Utensils and Condiments are available at a Separate Counter on the Level so grab them while you wait for your food.  Once you've finished your Meal, go down to the Cashier at 1st Floor to pay. It took 5 Mins for the Goose Meat Platter, 7 Mins for the Goose Intestines, and 10 Mins for the Goose Liver and Heart Platter. Everything was up in 10 Mins. Conclusion and Closing Thoughts At TWD220 (S$9.10) for this Big of Braised Goose Meat  is Not Cheap, but felt Worth It because of How Much Goose Meat you're actually getting. Goose is a Good Clean Tasting Poultry that ALMOST taste like Duck.  As I mentioned in the Past, If you like Goose, but find HK Styled Roasted Goose to be Too Oily, Braised Goose is a Nice Mid-Way Compromise. The One Served Here is Very Well Made and is Worth your Time.  Every Component worked well and Every Condiment paired well with it. At TWD150 (S$6.20) for the Goose Intestines with Leek,  again not Super Cheap but I thought this acted as a Good Veggie Counter-Balance to prevent any Meat Jelakness.  The Goose Intestines don't really taste of anything but if you have never eaten before, this is worth to order to give it a try. This dish itself tastes good. At TWD100 (S$4.10) each for both Goose Liver and Heart  for a Total of TWD200 (S$8.20) again is Not Cheap but the Amount of Food offered is alot. If you are someone who enjoy the Taste of Liver, I can recommend to give this a Try.  I just wished I had a Bowl of Hot Porridge to pair these with. Overall, I had an Enjoyable Dining Experience.  Although Expensive, the Presentation, Quality of the Dishes, Efficient Queue System and Friendly Polite Customer Service to me is Worth the Money. If you have never eaten Goose before, and you are in Taipei, I can recommend this Place to give a Try. This Place lives up to its Michelin Award Rank and the Queue on a Weekday feels Bearable. Highly Recommended! If you are a Singaporean coming to Taiwan, skip the usual XL fried chicken and Mee Sua, as you can get them easily at Singapore and they taste almost on par. Instead, make a deliberate trip to this place to try the goose meat. The meat are deliberately cut to 2mm thick and the flavour of the goose and goose oil is out of this world. Besides the goose meat, try the pearl rice drizzled with goose oil and goose intestine as well.

They serve frozen mangoes, I guess they dont have fresh mangoes during a certain time. April to June it says for the fresh mangoes. Disappointing $260 as most people dont know. Ice cream is slightly sour, the shave ice is quite sour, the frozen mangoes make your teeth and gums get the frozen feeling as you bite on it. Maybe if I ever come back here during mangoes season , maybe I will have a higher review. Frozen mangoes and flavour gives it a sour 2 for me.

NTD260 for a bowl of mango shaved ice. The mangoes were pale yellow and very very sour. Very different from the shop’s picture. Just didn’t feel like we are taking a cool and refreshing dessert. We asked the staff and were told that mangoes are local product. The sour taste still leaves in my mouth as I write this review. Staff were very busy so please be patient and don’t expect them to greet or speak to you courteously.

Lady's were really great. You just point and pay and they will serve you at your table. Mango shaved ice cream was refreshing such a pallet cleanser.

This was the best mango shaved ice place we found. Big enough to share and very refreshing. Staff usually moody though. Toilets available upstairs were clean.

Thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of fruit we got and size of serving, but still worth it for a hot humid summer day.

We went there when the mango was all frozen so the mango shaved ice was not as good as the fresh one. It’s something you should share between a few people rather than eating one for yourself. The ice was slightly harder/icy and less soft and silky side. It was ok but I definitely had better.

I will definitely be going back here for festivals, or whatever else I find out is going on there. The atmosphere is a complete vibe!! Food, shops and music what else can you ask for!!

Came here on the recommendation of the doorman at my hotel, was perfect stop after Taipei Fine Arts Museum as it’s just across the street. I went on a Saturday, so there were both the permanent stalls as well as a farmers market, which made for two adventures in one spot! I just followed the lead of the locals and found myself at a stall selling the best shrimp wonton soup I’ve had here, then roamed the market to buy some snack and drinks. Tons of families here and a nice mixing of locals and tourists.

A cool place with lots of bars and restaurants.. a variety of cuisines available and vegetarian options as well.. best to visit on Saturday or Sunday if looking to party.

I stumbled upon this place by pure luck! The vibe is amazing, and there's tons of food to choose from thanks to all the street vendors. I went over the weekends, which is probably why there are so many stalls for me to check out. It's super chill and relaxing..

Very festive environment with multiple restaurants, bars and music venues. There's even a night club. The place is usually busy by 9PM

There is a decent international food court (covered, but not air conditioned) here, and the food is decent and not over priced. There are also a number of restaurants (international) and other shops and weekend stalls here as well. It's definitely worth a visit. There is also live music from time to time. The main downside is that many of the food court stalls are unoccupied and not all the shops and food court stalls are open on weekdays. The food court seating could be improved - the tables are a bit oversized with a lack of chairs/seats, and can get crowded. And of course, without air conditioning, it can still get hot.

We attended the JD BBQ Festival 2023 and it was fun. Food was great, drink was flowing, music was loud, met some new people and had ourselves a great time. Lots of foreigners here, lots of bars and restaurants to eat and enjoy. Also lots of cosplayers walking around showing off their fancy costumes. It is definitely an interesting place to visit on the weekend.

A little gem with good local and imported beers and a nice variety. It's hard finding a good IPA in Asia but they have some full flavored quality beers and munchies to go with them. Perhaps they advertise to tourists as I found the common language of English was used by most patrons but everyone clearly came from the global community. I had the fried chicken (very tasty) and squid (almost as good) and would recommend them both while enjoying a few beers in a quiet and cool atmosphere. They also have a few outdoor tables.

We came in to get a couple beers, and something that wasn't just Taiwan Beer, Corona or Heineken. Many of the beers on the menu were sold out. Fortunately for us we wanted some IPA and they had a NEIPA available. The beer was great and the price was good. There were no tables available but we got a spot at a little counter on the wall. It wasn't very comfortable and we were tired, so we only had the one beer. To get beer you have to go to the counter, there doesn't seem to be table service here. They have a food menu but we were told they were out of many items. Fortunately we had eaten at the nearby Ximending night market. Good beer, okay bar.

Great bar, very good meat dishes (both the pork and the beef), super selection of local Taiwanese craft beers. When even fries are good, it means something! Careful service. Definitely a place to visit again!

Great space and some excellent beer on tap. They also have a ton of local produced beer in bottles. Missing stouts? They have a great selection for anyone. They also have some great looking food. The atmosphere is also quite charming. It's a small cozy space with friendly staff.

Great place for a fun evening with family or friends. The food is terrific, so fresh and tasty - without doubt the best fish tacos (choice of corn or flour) in Taipei. Top selection of beers. Super friendly team and a very jolly monthly quiz night. Vamos! You'll love it.

Great place in the Tianmu neighborhood. They recently received an honor of top 500 dishes in Taiwan for the carnitas (pork) enchiladas. No wonder, this is my go to meal at Eddy's, the meat is marinated so it's flavorful and tender. The sauce is rich and delicious and if it's not at your preferred spice level, it also comes with a couple of spicy sauces and pico de gallo. These enchiladas are straight fire, dawg! I had carnitas enchiladas at another nearby American Tex-Mex chain restaurant located in a department store, and the meat was kinda tough and not very flavorful, I couldn't stop thinking about how the enchiladas at Eddy's are much better. Their fish tacos are also very excellent, and that is my second favorite thing to eat there. Overall the place has a fun and friendly vibe, there are events like pub quiz which are very fun and Eddy himself is a really nice guy and remembers people very well. It's also a great place to watch sports and my only complaint about the place is that I wish they would stay open later!

I live in the United States. I have Mexican food at least twice a month sometimes as often as once a week. I have to say Eddy’s Cantina is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Everything is made from scratch! I tried the horchata, ribeye tacos, fish tacos, carnitas sliders, ribeye burrito, chicken quesadilla and more. I liked it so much I went twice during my 10 day trip to Taipei. If you’re craving Mexican, this is the place to be! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention an equally important factor of what made this dining experience so special. Eddy and his wife are amazing people. They’re warm and hospitable and they welcome you into their restaurant with open arms. You feel like they’re hosting you in their kitchen at home! They regale you with their fascinating stories and how Eddy ended up in Taiwan. It seems they’ve gotten hosting down to an exact science. Just the right blend of conversation and space to allow you to enjoy their wonderful food. 10/10 I will be back!!!

The best Enchiladas I've had in Taiwan. Simply delicious! If you're vegetarian they've got you covered too! Most dishes have options to substitute meat with either Tofu, Potato, or Beans. I always make sure to stop by at least once when I'm in town.

Overall it’s good. It’s kinda like half American sports bar and Mexican restaurant. Salsas we’re good. Nacho portion was a bit small and price a little high (foreign restaurants tend be higher prices anyways n Taiwan. Tacos were good, beef tacos 🌮 were better than the pork. I thought the wet burrito was going to be like American Midwest green chili burrito. But it’s more light red sauce

It’s the most delicious chicken wings I’ve ever eaten before, we ordered the Thai flavor and Honey garlic. It was so good and tasted fresh,spicy and a lil bit sour. Fajita platter for two people may be too much but it has many options for you to choose which meat you like.I love their smoothie! Not too sweet and not too sour it’s so great to drink while eating wings. BTW there’s many kinds of competition show on TV like ufc and the boss is pretty handsome hahaha!

Smith & Wollensky Taipei offers a sleek and stylish setting for a classic steakhouse experience — but surprisingly, it wasn’t the beef steaks that stole the show. While they were supposed to be dry-aged, we honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference. The steaks were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. What really impressed us, though, was the pork chop — juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It became the unexpected highlight of the meal, and everyone at the table agreed it was the standout dish. The atmosphere was elevated by a live music performance, which added a relaxed and classy touch to the evening. From certain spots in the dining room, you even get a nice view of Taipei 101, which is a great bonus. Although the espresso martini wasn’t on the cocktail list, I was glad I asked for it — it was delicious and beautifully made. Overall, while the steak didn’t wow us, the ambiance, service, and surprising dishes like the pork chop made for a lovely night out.

Had dinner alone on 27 Oct. 2025. Positives: The servers were very attentive. The view was good. I was seated without a reservation. Negatives: The food was disappointing. I ordered 3 appetizers: 1) duck confit salad 2) escargot with mushrooms /pesto 3) foie gras 1) salad & dressing were tasty, but duck was flavorless (asked for salt) and not like confit…more like small pieces of cold simmered duck. 2) oily and no finesse. At a minimum, needed some acid ( lemon juice, white wine, etc) to cut the greasy taste. Also, had to ask for bread to go with it to cut some of the fat. 3) small pieces of overcooked foie gras served with an inappropriately spicy paste. And there were inedible, hard pieces of popcorn for decoration. Unnecessary and Odd. Also, a minor point, but the carpet is old and worn thin in some areas. It certainly detracts from the atmosphere. Definitely wouldn’t return or recommend, especially given the prices.

When I am craving a seriously good steak with a view to match, Smith and Wollensky Sky is where I go. It has become my go to spot for everything from casual date nights to special celebrations. The steaks are always on point. Juicy, well seasoned, and cooked just right. You can taste the quality in every bite. I usually go for a ribeye or filet and they never disappoint. Their sides are just as memorable. Think rich truffle mashed potatoes or classic creamed spinach done right. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Great food, great service, great vibe. Every visit feels easy and satisfying. And with that city view, it always feels like a treat. If you love steak, this place should be on your list.

The food was delicious and the portion was great. I had business lunch and we had to pack it to go because we couldn’t finish our food. I also ordered Mac and cheese for my son but that didn’t taste good. The only thing I did not enjoy was while we are eating a lobster claw flew into our plate. Someone was eating lobster and it flew into our plate during our meal….

The best restaurant with the top views taipei 101 And 5 star service. Everything is delicious, but the price is quite high 4 people eat about 21,000 Taiwan dollars. The shop is not very spacious The dining table layout area at each table is too close together. So overall I give 8/10

The drinks here were amazing! Every drink was delicately made, unique and extremely delicious. The two bartenders went above and beyond to engage everyone in my group, understand our preferences and made our drinks in accordance to our preferences. Really the definition of a hidden gem!!

We choose to go here due tk many good reviews and the pics. But it was heavily disappointing. The AC was kept at 22 but it was like seating and we asked to lower it down but they didn't do it. Thats the first turn off, then we ordered cocktails and we got it but it was too diluted and felt like drinking diluted fruit juice. And we still wanted to give it a shot and ordered food and we got fish and chips and drumsticks. Have a look at the pics and thats what is called drumstick and the fish was soggy as if like a flexible rubber peice. Not sure how all of these reviews are good. Service was okay but compared to other bars visited innTaipei this was the lowest.

I came here about 3-4 times now and it’s been great. They aren’t the best at English which makes it hard to talk to the bartenders and get recs, but they do try. It makes me want to learn some Chinese. One of them introduced me to Omar, a Taiwanese whiskey, after he noticed I liked Kavalan. Great rec. The food is ok. The fish and chips tasted very Taiwanese if that makes sense. I’ve had the squid ink chicken before and that was better. The overall selection of liquors isn’t much, but they do have some decent bottles. They’re known more for their cocktails and it’s not surprising why. Their menu is beautiful but not English friendly. If you have a Chinese speaker with you, you’ll have a better time, but it’s still worth a visit!

I am honestly kind of obsessed with this place. I visited the bar twice during my stay in Taipei. The location is tucked away on an upper floor in the heart of Ximending. The vibe inside is low-key, with lovely wooden details and plenty of seating options for drinking solo at the bar or meeting friends. The bartender Tommy is beyond amazing- very friendly and engaging with a true passion for his craft. The cocktails which tell the story of Taiwan through unique ingredients related to the country’s unique geography is definitely a vibe. You should go asap 🫶🏻🇹🇼✨

It was such a good experience here, the staff was very friendly and very nice one (her name is xiaoxiao) and also the cocktail was fantastic. I hopeI can come back to Taiwan and go to this bar again. Love from Thailand.

Such a great bar! Drinks are delicious and totally worth the price. The signature cocktails are served in really unique glasses — super creative! The staff are super friendly, funny, and great at chatting (and their English is really good too). They make you feel entertained the whole time. Highly recommend coming here — you’ll end up staying until 3 or 4 AM without even realizing it!

Nice open-air outdoor craft beer bar in Xinyi district. You can see the view of 101 and Breeze Nan Shan building. How cozy and comfortable it was! A variety of craft beers. Reasonable price and efficient service. Food was normal so suggest to eat something before come here. Great place to have a drink with friends or alone at Friday night.

I love this place, and you can glaze the night view of Taipei 101 in front of your eyes. The price of the beer is not bad, and the worker is willing to help you pick the type you like. i will definitely come back to this bar, and this will goes on my Togo list when I visit Taipei again.

Zhangmen is a brewery with different branches in Taiwan. They offer a variety of craft beers, and the prices are reasonable. As for this branch, despite its good location for drinking good beers and watching 101 at the same time, this bar is still a very hidden spot in the Xinyi district. It is rarely crowded, and I can find a table every time, except on very special occasions. Overall, it’s a lovely place to chill, talk, and drink. People are calm here, and the music is not loud. If you expect something crazy or vibing, this is not the place. It doesn’t have much vibe or decoration; it’s just an open-air space for drinking craft beers. P.S. This is my personal experience, but the staff at the bar doesn't really have a service mindset. They have poker faces and are not helpful.

Hidden gems in Xinyi district for a bit of peace and quiet. Staff is ok friendly. Reasonable price for a pint of beer. Didn’t have food here so can’t comment on that. The beer was great with layers of flavour. Love the outdoor seating area with nice fresh air and gorgeous view towards Taipei 101. The choice of music played here could do with a bit of improvement. Overall, it’s a good experience. The only downside is that it closes rather early on weekdays.

This place decoration is nice and it is usually crowded, the food is regular but the reason why I don’t recommend this place is because the poor management. Fist they told us that during weekends they don’t accept reservations OK we got it. When we arrived at 7:00pm they said the place was totally full and offered a standing spot, surprisingly there were around 4 empty tables, when we asked if we can have one they said they are reserved BUT HOW? if no reservations were acceptable on weekends?…anyway they gave us a tiny “table” for 7 people where we couldn’t even fit the dinner dishes. We asked to talk to the manger (as there still one empty table next to us) she refused to allow us sit there cos she said it was for the two DJs, one big table for two people and one tiny one for 7!? Despite her bad attitude solving absolutely nothing we have to pay 10% of service? I definitely not coming or recommending this place.

Wish there were more interesting food choices and more diverse beer options (all fruity and IPA the day I'm there) but everything else top notch and obvious why it's the standard in Taipei. The staff super friendly, the music and vibe great. If you get tired, downstairs also is another bar with equally nice vibes serving cocktails. Reminds me of Jing-A in Beijing.

Awesome service and super friendly staff. Great beer selection. The burgers are legit, and the buffalo wings are some of the best I've had - crispy, saucy, with just the right spice and not too much vinegar. Definitely recommend!

The beer is excellent. I really really love the Tasmanian devil DDH pale ale - it's a beautiful delicately aggressive pale ale, which is exactly what I like. And their original IPA has an EPA (extra pale ale) piney icey taste that I absolutely love. The food is also very good. I have been here many times now, and will keep coming back. The staff is very nice and welcoming, but it can also get very busy and super crowded. Lovely brewery and taproom.

We came here for dinner and were clearly in line in front of others. However, the waiter in charge of assigning people to their table got confused somehow and made us wait longer. People behind us didn’t have a reservation either and they got a table for 2 before us. He didn’t even apologize. The food was great though. The beer was tasty. It’s better to reserve so you won’t have to wait for so long. Hopefully, the waiter will know how to handle reservations.

The beer list was not complete with brewery company. It's hard to know which brewery I was drinking and had to find matching description on the black board or ask staffs each time. It's really inconvenient. The flight that I ordered was a lot of flat taste in it. The one from 23 Brewery tasted nothing like that when I went to visit the 23 brewery bar another day. All in all it's not to serious place for craft beer hoping like me. All staffs were very friendly though.

It’s a good place to spend a few hours while waiting for your number at Din Tai Fung to be called :) But even if this was not next to DTF, it’s worth a visit. The beers were delicious, and there’s a wide variety of snacks. The nerd in me appreciated the ABV vs IBU matrix which makes it very easy to choose the right beer. Service was very friendly.

Really glad I made my way here for the night. Very chill place for a drink. Feels like a cafe fused with a bar. Mellow music and some of the best booze. Tried the Uncut Brut IPA and Imperial Rye Porter. The former had a nice fruity note with a pleasant bitterness to give a balanced experience. Ending of the night with the latter, a full bodied drink with roasted coffee notes. Loved it and highly recommend a visit.

Pier 5 is a perfect spot to enjoy the Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival. The riverside view is amazing, and the atmosphere feels festive with food stalls, music, and people gathering together. The fireworks are absolutely beautiful, though the area gets very crowded, so it’s best to arrive early. A must-visit if you’re in Taipei during the festival season.

Walk here during sunset and you’ll find families exercising, people walking their dogs, and beautiful sunsets. The food didn’t interest us much, but there’s a selection of beers and western/asian food. There’s a seating area where you can sit and eat while enjoying the sunset.

There’s a bike rental spot in a scenic area that’s perfect for watching the sunset. There are shops selling draft beer and food, and you can sit on the second floor of a container-style restaurant to enjoy a beer while taking in the sunset view.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dadaocheng Wharf is a must-visit for me every time I’m in Taipei. It’s honestly one of my favourite spots to chill, hang out, or just enjoy a beer with friends. Super touristy, but I’m mainly here for the vibes. There are tons of food options (a little overpriced, but again… vibes 😂). I love grabbing a seat on the second floor of the containers, watching the sunset over the Keelung River with an ice-cold draft beer in hand. Pure bliss. It does get a bit noisy after 8:30pm, but I don’t mind too much — the energy is part of the charm. And the best part? They sell jumbo beers… which is basically happiness in a cup for me 🍻. Always a highlight of my Taipei trips ❤️

Since 2021 (I learned about it at the Tea Museum), there's been a food truck market in Dadaocheng District. Here, you can buy snacks from various food trucks while watching the sunset on the Tamsui River. Beer and various other drinks are also available. You can sit either directly on the trucks or at tables right on the riverbank. It's more expensive than a night market, but the great location is worth it.

We checked in as a party of four (including two elderly guests) with two rooms. Below is a summary of our overall experience at the hotel. Location The hotel is located close to a bustling shopping area but quite a distance from the station, which may not be ideal during the rainy season, travelling with more than one elderly or you have a big luggage case. Cleanliness / Miscellaneous One of the rooms assigned was located deep within the building, and getting there felt like navigating a maze each time. The bedsheets had noticeable stains. The trolley used for towels was covered in rust. The room were small, especially if you have large luggage. The TV was faulty. The hotel’s water piping system was poor — there was a lingering toilet smell and the pipes frequently made loud noises. Service It was challenging to request a room change unless there was a very valid reason. One staff was unwilling to change our room, stating that the hotel was fully booked. (Big relief for our elderly pair when they could finally switched their maze room for a better one located near the lift at the end.) The front desk staff were rather cold if not rude when we simply asked about the possibility of a late checkout (by about 2–3 hours). Another staff member openly told the colleague we were speaking with to always reject such requests, in front of us. On a positive note, we appreciated the housekeeping team for their prompt service recovery when we requested fresh towels. Although the room change took days, we are sincerely thankful for this assistance.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were welcoming, and ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. The location was also convenient—close to key attractions and easy to get around. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

While the hotel itself looks nice and spacious, be prepared for a surprise if you’re assigned one of the basement-level rooms. Ours was an accessible room with a sliding bathroom door full of holes—and unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t provide anything to cover them. If you’re traveling alone, it’s manageable, but if you’re sharing the room, it can get awkward since you can easily see the other person using the toilet, sink, or changing. You’ll receive two room keys upon check-in, and both must be returned at check-out to avoid extra charges. The check-in and check-out process is mostly self-service; the front desk staff will assist if available, but interactions are minimal and quick. On the plus side, the hotel is in a great area with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Papa Whale. The overall atmosphere is stylish, modern, and full of character, giving the hotel a unique charm that sets it apart from typical city hotels. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with all the essentials provided. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The location is excellent — close to many restaurants, shops, and public transportation, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The lobby and common areas are also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing vibe. I would definitely recommend Hotel Papa Whale to anyone visiting Taipei!

Industrial deco hotel. I had a single bed in a cozy room. Loved the actual hotel stay. However, I personally didn't think the add-on breakfast was worth the extra money. Could probably get better food with the same amount of money or less at other places nearby, after all you are at the heart of the city here. So yeah, 100% recommend the hotel, but suggest you skip the breakfast option if it cost ya extra.

I’m not sure how to feel about this hotel. It seems incredibly pricey for what you get. The staff are all miserable and create no connection with staying guests, check in felt more like an airport with the queue almost out of the door. They are very strict with the 3pm check in which I can understand, but the attitude towards guests asking to check in even 30 minutes early is unacceptable. The rooms are mid to small sized and ours smelt so damp. There was mold in the shower and all of the fabric in the room smelt of it too so it’s no doubt lurking in hidden places. There was no window in our room and it just felt awfully dark and uncomfortable, I don’t think the industrial/prison like design of the hotel was really helping with that either. The only thing that was actually quite good is the diy laundry which is simple enough to use, it cost $70 to wash and $50 to dry.

Superb room service — everything is changed daily and kept spotless. The concierge can speak English, which makes communication easy. The hotel offers convenient self check-in and check-out for faster access. The comfort room is clean with a good hot shower (though there’s no bidet). Overall, it’s a great accommodation choice conveniently located in the Ximen area — excellent value and comfort for travelers.

Good above average Chinese food, I don’t know the pricing, but very filling. Them crispy pork ribs are something of dreams-unbeatably crispy, and the fried sweet taro was a good finish (before the fruit) I don’t know the pricing, but it was good. Nothing really blew me away besides the pork ribs-how is it so crispy?? Like picking it up already made such a delicate crunching noise…. Great place for a classic big family and friends meal-I don’t think I would come here unless it with a big group (because it’s just all food meant to be shared) Nice servers too-let us keep the abalone shells (shiny)

⭐️Book a reservation in advance⭐️ We had a great time at this Michelin one-star restaurant in 天母. The food was amazing and definitely lived up to the hype. I snapped a few photos of the menu and some of the dishes, but honestly, once the food started coming out, I stopped taking pictures because it was just too delicious to wait. That should tell you everything you need to know. There were 11 of us, so we booked a booth in advance, and it was perfect for our group. The service was smooth, friendly, and they handled a big table like ours without any issues. Everything came out on time, and the staff was attentive without hovering. One thing to note: you can bring your own wine or liquor, but there’s a corkage fee of 500 NT. We thought that was a pretty fair deal. Just keep in mind, outside beers aren’t allowed, but they do serve beer at the restaurant if that’s what you’re after. The food itself really highlighted classic Taiwanese flavors but done in a way that felt elevated. Every dish we ordered had great balance and depth, and it was clear a lot of care went into the cooking. It’s the kind of place where you enjoy each bite and already start thinking about what you’ll order next time. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Taipei and want to try authentic Taiwanese cuisine with Michelin-level quality. Definitely worth a visit!

We had our lunch here for a special family gathering and this restaurant was the perfect place. Food coming out in correct orders and appropriate time between serving of each menu. Their lime juice was a big hit! As you can see from the photos they put great effort into each dish - both taste and presentation. The menu consists of authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Location-wise, it is situated in outer skirts of Taipei central, so travel via public transport may not be too straightforward. The staff kindly helped us arrange taxi after our meal.

The Taiwanese cuisine is authentic and of great quality. Highly recommend the succulent Fresh Oysters in Special Sauce (NT 650/Large), the flavorful Crispy Fried Spareribs (NT 300), the tasty Japanese Snow Crab with Scrambled Egg Sauce Taiwanese Style (NT 3,080/Large), and the exquisite Creamy Sea Urchin and Sea Cucumber Noodles with Japanese Snow Crab (Pre-order; NT 4,480/Small)!

It was my first time trying Gonnaeat in Taipei and I was honestly blown away by the quality of the food. I tried the Miso Cashew Chicken plate with carrot cake for desert and a pineapple lime juice. The flavors were outstanding and the main course tasted fresh and healthy, satisfying my hunger and improving my mood. You order through a QR code and the food comes out after a short wait. I waited a little longer for my dessert because possibly someone forgot to bring it out, but it wasn't a problem.

The food is great! The rigatoni pasta is very creamy and tasty but the truffles pasta, oh! I love it! Also the carrot cake. But the chocolate cake is kinda strong. The service is fast, the staff are friendly and nice too. Will be visiting again soon. Thank you.

Maybe around 30 minutes I sat alone and enjoyed my drink, but their staff clearly stared at me a lot as they gave obvious hint that they were not happy I only ordered 1 hot chocolate. Wow so rude. Then I decided to change my meeting point with my friend at another restaurant surrounding. The hot chocolate was good though..
