Beautiful hotel in the heart of Chichester. Our room was stylish and cosy, with lovely views and thoughtful details. Dinner was superb — fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The building itself is full of character and charm. A perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

Excellent check-in experience. Rooms very clean and with most items that you could need. Complimentary gin in the room was a nice touch, not sure if tonic was free though. Excellent dining experience for evening meal. Not giving 5 stars for room because bathroom sink emptied way too slowly and no iron in room...little things, but. Was not expecting a 10 pound fee for parking, but may have missed that in the small print. Lovely experience and lovely staff.

Absolutely Perfect Wedding Day – Highly Recommend! We recently had our wedding at the Harbour Hotel Chichester and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. From the moment we made our initial booking, everything was handled with such professionalism and care. A huge thank you to Kate, the wedding planner, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire planning process. She made everything feel so seamless and stress-free. On the day itself, Megan and Craig were incredible – they coordinated everything perfectly, working alongside our hired wedding host to make sure every detail was just right. Their calm and friendly approach made such a difference to our day. The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing – all served hot and delicious, which is no small feat for a large event. It was also great value for money, which made it all the more impressive. Special shout-out to Alex, who ran the bar that night. He was fantastic – nothing was too much trouble, and he really added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The whole team went above and beyond: they laid out all our tables, packed everything away afterwards, and carefully kept everything safe for us. It honestly couldn’t have gone any better. We’re already looking forward to returning to the Harbour Hotel for our anniversary stay. If you’re thinking about getting married here, we would 100% recommend it – it was everything we dreamed of and more. Thanks again Josh & Holly Edwards

Me and my wife had our wedding breakfast and reception here on Saturday and I can honestly say I'm very glad I made the choice to have it here. I think first i have to mention The service from the hotel staff and especially megan ( she's amazing) and her whole team were outstanding with the professional quick service we were given! They were all very polite and attentive ( excluding the very rude gentleman at reception during Friday day time!!! ) The food was top standard for a wedding also, thank you! A few things wrong with the room we were given at number 14 but hopefully after explaining the little issues to reception, she will sort for next customer. Thank you all again for hosting for us :)

Lovely building in a quaint street with good staff. The food is not spectacular and lacks wow factor. Probably the worst mussels ever over cooked, minute. Pork belly could not have been sliced any thinner. Lovely espresso but no accompanying biscuit etc. O There was a VERY loud wedding. Must try harder.
Michael W — Google review
Visited as a couple for afternoon tea earlier this week. It was a delightful experience, would recommend on any basis for those looking for a spot for afternoon tea. Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. The artwork on display in the resturant was fantastic. The food was great, boxes were provided for leftovers which were enjoyed at home. Hot drinks were never allowed to run out by the attentive resturant staff.
Thomas W — Google review
Nice hotel. Room was nice, very comfy bed. Old Hotel so expect creaky floorboards and low ceilings, plenty of padding on doors and ceiling for tall people like myself. Could do with a bit of TLC but still an enjoyable stay
Ian K — Google review
Lovely hotel and room, only a 10 minute walk from the train station. We booked the Superior Double Room which was lovely and spacious. We had the unfortunate luck of staying during a heat wave and goodness it was hot. There was no additional service to manage the heat and our room was sun-facing for most of the day. We were provided one pedestal fan which was not sufficient. It felt like we were walking into a sauna. Speaking of saunas, we were notified a few days before arriving that the steam room and pool were not operational. The day after we recevied an email telling us to book in with the spa and that we had access to the pool. It was a shame as we were looking forward to accessing the pool. We also tried to book a taxi to the other train station on the Sunday and taxi's were minimum 90 minutes away. The staff were not very helpful in giving us options to manage this.

The inn features a terrace, garden, complimentary Wi-Fi, a restaurant serving British fare, and a bar/lounge. Nestled at the foot of the South Downs in East Lavant, this historic pub has been serving delightful British dishes for over two centuries.
Had a fabulous weekend family gathering of 15 people and 4 dogs. The rooms and the cottages worked perfectly. All the dogs were welcome. The food was delicious, and the service excellent. All the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. A great place to stay.
Kate A — Google review
We had a lovely one night stay here with our two dogs celebrating our wedding anniversary on their 'Muddy Paws' package, which included dinner. I'm not sure if our room was upgraded but we stayed in Flint Cottage, which had a super king bed and a lounge area, which was very charming. The staff had decorated the bed with petals and candles which was a very sweet surprise, they even left us a card on the mantelpiece. There is a little garden at the back where you can sit with a drink and admire the view of the fields beyond, it was so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and Sash deserves a special mention for being so lovely and bringing us espresso martinis!
Susannah J — Google review
Lovely country pub in a gorgeous village. Food was very good and excellent value with the Wednesday deal. We stayed in one of the cottages which was lovely, super old and cute. Lovely outdoor area too. Our one slight hindrance was that storage was lacking - no drawers for our clothes and the wardrobe was inaccessible! As we were there for a wedding we missed being able to hang up our dresses. But probably fine for just one night. Overall a wonderful stay!

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding. The staff were amazing, the American lady who settled us in was fab! The lady who served our breakfast on sunday was also so friendly and accommodating :) loved the residents garden, so peaceful and lovely view. The breakfasts were gorgeous! Lots of little extras included at breakfast- 10/10 for breakfast! Loved the cookies in the room, bed was so comfy, products were gorgeous. The pub itself was beautiful. Great beer gardens

Just returned from a short stay at the Royal Oak in East Levant and couldn't be happier. We stayed in Flint Cottage, which was perfect, cosy, comfortable, and ideal for a quick getaway. The food? Absolutely top-notch. Far beyond typical pub fare, every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Service was brilliant throughout, and we want to give a special shout-out to Jess. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she even made an excellent pink gin. A real star! Thanks to all the team at the Royal Oak for making our stay memorable. We’ll be recommending this gem to friends and family.

Disappointing Food Experience, Despite Good Service. My partner and I recently went out for dinner at the Royal Oak, a visit we'd both been really looking forward too. To start on a positive note the staff were great, friendly and attentive , which we appreciated. My partner had the burger, which was just OK, nothing particularly memorable but not bad either, Unfortunately my meal was a real disappointment. I ordered the pie of the day, which was steak and ale with mash. The beef inside was cut into very small pieces and was incredibly dry with no sauce or gravy at all. Something i had never encountered a steak pie before. there was also no taste of ale and it honestly seemed like it might've been left over from the Sunday roast. The pastry overcooked and dry as well. The mash was grainy, clearly not properly mashed with no butter or seasoning and the accompanying vegetables were just as bland, again lacking any seasoning. Overall the food was very underwhelming and not up to the standard we were expecting, its a shame as the staff were good and we had hoped for a much better experience.

Really warm and friendly welcome, with prompt and efficient service. Great food, dinner and breakfast excellent with very good menu choices. Comfortable rooms in charming traditional pub. Quiet village plus bonus of a few Low flying Spitfire passes. Hope we'll go again soon.

Sunday lunch at The Royal Oak. Second time we have been. Great location. Off the beaten track. In Goodwood's back yard. Lovely interior, good food, not the cheapest around, great atmosphere and staff. Served by Sash, Tatiana and Joe who were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly too. Will be back again.

The East Walls Hotel Chichester is a relaxed and laid-back lodging housed in an elegant Georgian-style edifice. It offers amenities such as complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi access. Immerse yourself in history by taking a self-guided tour around the Chichester City Walls, where you can envision ancient times when it was known as Noviomagus Reginorum, with its guarded gates and helmet-clad centurions.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the East Walls Hotel in Chichester. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and the hotel itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. Our room was stunning, with a gorgeous bathroom that added a touch of luxury. We really appreciated how quiet and peaceful the hotel was, and its location—just a short three-minute walk to the town centre—was perfect. The breakfast was also absolutely delicious!

Wow! Can’t recommend this hotel to enough people. It is more of a home away from home, which is a pleasant disruption from the standard chain hotels I normally frequent as an avid traveller. The rooms for my stay was full of character and perfect for my requirements. What makes this stay so memorable is your hosts. The proprietors of this property are on site, so helpful, and engaging! Honest and straight forward, not to mention make an incredible omelet in the morning. I hear the pancakes are great too!! Plan in advance as I believe this hotel books up quickly! I will be back again.

Fabulous hotel stay, a real gem in the heart of Chichester. Our room was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, and scrupulously clean. Delicious breakfast and very kind friendly hosts. Am looking forward to our next stay 😊

What a lovely find. Hotel immaculate. We stayed in the superior room. Amazing space. Hosts of hotel cannot do enough for you. Breakfast cooked fresh. Very well run by a lovely couple.

We've not stayed here but wanted to put a review up for the lovely kind owners. After my son helped carry some bags back to the hotel after they had unfortunately broken, he was invited in for a cup of tea to say thank you. Myself, my daughter and his friend were also invited in for drinks. This is a stunning family run hotel with a lovely dinning area and beautiful garden. They also gave my daughter a gift for her 1st birthday next. What a beautiful hotel run by lovely kind people.

Chichesters hidden gem. Amazing hosts Ann and George. Spotless rooms, impeccable customer service and so friendly. Breakfast all fresh and local produce. Central location. We will definitely be returning could not fault a thing.

A real gem hidden in the heart of Chichester. Really friendly and personal welcome from the owners of this family run hotel. Great choices for breakfast and beautiful rooms.
Simon — Google review
The hotel cancelled our booking on our arrival date, stating that they'd overbooked. We were already in Chichester, so we had to spend our afternoon trying to find alternative accommodation. Very unimpressed. We were told if we wanted a refund, to follow the 'request a refund' process on booking.com which can take 7-14 days to be refunded. Completely ruined our weekend away.

Wonderful family stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. I wanted somewhere with activities for our 3 young sons, good food and beautiful surroundings. The Goodwood Hotel ticked all the boxes. The staff were all lovely, super friendly and helpful. Our children never felt like a nuisance which made our stay relaxed and happy. We made good use of the pool, tennis courts and walks. My eldest son has already asked to return for his birthday! Thank you!

Stayed over for one night one way to Isle of Wight. Lovely garden room, brilliant for the dog and really well equipped. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Service exceptional. Definitely recommend and will visit again.
Andy J — Google review
Myself and my husband stayed here with our dog for three nights during December. The room was tastefully furnished and the bed extremely comfortable. There was a clean dogs bed provided, which my dog loved and bowls and treats. I used the leisure facilities every day during our stay and they were fantastic. The gym had modern machines which were in a good and clean condition and the swimming pool, sauna and steam room were thoroughly relaxing. We had breakfast every morning which was exquisite. The full cooked breakfast made with stock from the estate's own farm tased exceptional and the range of fresh berries, gluten free cakes, pastries and nuts on offer were amazing. But what stood out the most about this hotel were the extraordinary staff. They couldn't do enough for you and they did it politely and with a smile. Whether it be the reception staff who were very helpful, or the groundsmen who were always ready to offer assistance whilst walking the estate, to the waiting staff in the breakfast restaurant who made us and our dog feel so welcome. The staff really make the Goodwood hotel stand out from the rest and are a credit to the estate.

Difficult to find, very poor communication ahead of booking, - booking details not confirmed by email, asked to select meal choices ahead of reservation in restaurant for party, not confirmed and menu had changed, advised on arrival, children's choices not available and no options for their starter at all, adult starters all very poor, mains were cold, puddings were good. Not the quality expected. miscommunication between staff, no management on site to rectify, eventually offered discount due to poor experience - not the service or experience expected as advertised at the expensive rates. Avoid if you can....
Mark T — Google review
Just had the most wonderful stay. Staff couldn't have been more efficient and attentive. Breakfast was a vast array of deliciousness. Health club was a great facility. Room was clean and had a super bathroom and coffee machine. Will definitely be visiting again.

Set in the beautiful grounds of the goodwood estate and a mere 2 mins drive from the historic raceway, this 4* hotel lives upto its name. With a large carpark and beautiful grounds surrounding it, this hotel offfers superb dinning as well as a fully stocked gym and spa. The swimming pool is large and also has a jacuzzi with steam room and sauna to use as part of your hotel room price. Rates are very reasonable and rooms offer large size suites with super king size beds. Staff are very attentive and keen to assist and please. Two on site restaurants are available with a separate bar area should you just want a drink. Food choices are good and staff are keen to suggest items should you struggle to choose. Local Goodwood beer is on tap, worth choosing. Food arrived in good time, had wonderful taste and portions are of good size. Overall, this place is great for a weekend treat away and brilliant as a stop over should you going to an event at the raceway as we did. Definitely a location we would visit again when in the area
Mark C — Google review
A very pleasant and professional greeting from reception on arrival and what appeared to be a pleasant room. However, the hotel is extremely tired with thread bare carpets, dirty chairs, rotten windows, uneven flooring, disgusting toilets (next to the bar and grill restaurant) and generally In a poor state for £200 per night.! The 'Farmer Butcher Chef' restaurant was closed due to a private party. We ate in the 'Bar and Grill' which was comparable to a caravan park club house in our opinion (apart from the price). Very limited menu - badly decorated- no atmosphere - poor service by inexperienced staff - bland, overpriced food (we're talking a very average burger and chips and a dry chicken pie) accompanied by a £12 medium size glass of wine....! Plus we had the pleasure of Dogs around us as that's now considered acceptable in a restaurant..!? Surely there should be a specific area for pet owners..!? We've stayed in many hotels but this is the first where we've gone back to our rooms before 9pm...! Separate beds pushed together, knackered old TV, were constantly woken by banging doors in the night (no soft close) and then found a ladybird infestation behind our curtains in the morning.... Lovely..! The full English breakfast was good and breakfast service pleasant. I reported our experience at checkout and recieved a 10% discount. Hopefully this review will shake the place up as I cannot understand why ANYONE would come here....

What can I say?! Our first contact with the Goodwood Hotel was by phone on a Friday evening between Christmas and New Year and we were in a panic! We had come away for a weekend with our teenage daughters and dog but had been let down by another hotel in Arundel. After a 5 hour drive from Devon we were hungry, tired and desperate for somewhere to stay! Lina took away all the worry in a moment with her calm telephone manner and exemplary service finding us not one but two rooms that interconnected and had them ready within 30 minutes of our call! The rooms were fabulous, as was the first class service and food. They really have thought of everything! The gym, pool, spa, grounds … perfect! We will be returning soon! Thank you Lina for producing a tiny miracle for us and saving Christmas!

Crouchers Hotel, a former farmhouse just outside Chichester, offers 26 spacious and comfortable rooms and suites. The hotel is praised for its picturesque setting and charming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and dine at the oak-beamed Portager Restaurant, which serves local fare. The hotel's location makes it an ideal base for exploring the area, with easy access to attractions such as Goodwood Motor Circuit and the Witterings beach.
We had a great stay at the Crouchers Hotel. Very clean room, very friendly and efficient staff. Its an excellent location for exploring the area. The breakfast was delicious. There is ample parking and a great restaurant. We will definitely go back if we are in the area.

The hotel is nice. Although it’s about the 4th time we stay there and I’ve let them know that it was q birthday celebration. I sent 2 messages to reception so that they could at least prepare a message for the birthday person and nothing was done! The customer service was such a down point. Breakfast could also be improved, no cheese or ham selection. We do pay quite a lot extra for breakfast and the hot food is nice but could do with expanding the cold options a bit. We ao had dinner at the main restaurant and the portions were exceptionally small. Despite ordering 2 starters and 2 mains we both left hungry and though about ordering a pizza. Ordered 2 of the the slow cooked beef as main (picture added) and had 2 small pieces of meat for £35 each. Not good value for money. One to improve. Quality matters but quantity also matters when it comes to food! Thanks.

Our first visit and we were not disappointed. A calm and relaxing stay with beautiful grounds to walk through and a route down to the canal towpath. All staff were polite, friendly and extremely efficient, and not thing was too much trouble. Breakfast was cooked to order and of a very high standard, as was our evening, also served in The Potager Restaurant. We will return and highly recommend this hotel

Our first visit to Crouchers Orchard Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room, bar area and restaurant were very nicely decorated, relaxing, calm and finished to a high standard. Dinner and breakfast was good. We did have a bit of an issue in the restaurant which was dealt with very well. Excellent service recovery. Location is good, not far from Chichester and West Wittering, is on a large estate with a pleasant walk in the grounds. Worth visiting Chichester Marina only 30 mins walk away. There are several types of accommodation available giving guests a number of options. Will definitely return.

We have just come back home after a 3 day stay here. Lovely hotel all the staff were really good. The breakfast choices were really good. We would stay there again no problem. Plenty of parking and in walking distance to 2 different styles of restaurant's and both were really nice. Thanks for a lovely stay 👍
Nigel S — Google review
Our first stay here and we loved it,the staff the food and service was top notch,we are now looking at a 3 night stay and my only advice to fellow travellers when booking is not to stay in rooms by car park as its got pebbles and all night we heard cars coming and going which disturbed our sleep.Great location for dogs and ours loved the large field at the back of the hotel and thats where we spotted the rooms which lead out onto the field with wonderful views and walks. We have certainly found our next Hotel to stay with.
Simon L — Google review
We are fairly regular visitors to Crouchers as we have family and friends nearby. The quiet location and ample parking are a bonus. We always choose a garden room. These are well appointed and always spotlessly clean. Our meals in the Potager restaurant are excellent and beautifully presented. The staff throughout the hotel are efficient and friendly. Our friends and family who come to visit us are made equally welcome. We shall look forward to visiting later in the year.
Sheila — Google review
I stayed here with my mother for a funeral which was also at Crouchers the following day. Everything was first class, from the rooms to the food, drinks and setting, with the best compliments for all the wonderful staff. Emily in the bar was friendly and professional, exactly the sort of person you would hope to meet.

Nestled in the heart of Chichester, The Nags Head is a charming traditional bar and carvery restaurant that exudes warmth with its exposed-brick decor. This inviting inn features comfortable rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, making it an ideal stop for travelers. Guests have praised the accommodating staff who ensure a pleasant stay, even catering to specific needs like early breakfasts for those heading to nearby attractions such as Goodwood Circuit.
I stayed one night in May at the pub. The room was nice and clean and I had lunch, dinner and breakfast, which were all very good. The location is fine for visiting the town and Cathedral. I was arriving by train and walked to the hotel with a trolley. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. A great choice if you're travelling on your own: Lots of people in the restaurant and the pub.

I recently took my family to this pub for a Sunday roast, and I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the food. The pub is exceptionally well-managed, considering the high volume of customers coming in and out. The waiting staff were all very attentive and provided excellent service. Additionally, the location is superb, with a car park conveniently situated right behind and being in close proximity to the cathedral and shops. I will certainly return the next time I am in the area.
Dan F — Google review
We went for the Sunday carvery, having been many times in the past. The food was good, although the roast potatoes were dry and not fluffy. -1 star for the flies which where everywhere in the dining area and the price point being a little steep for what you get. Genuinely great food though (cauliflower cheese was a winner) and lovely staff!
Amelia A — Google review
went for a carvery today, the place was understandably very busy however service was very slow and we were forgotten about a few times. we ended up waiting longer than half an hour to pay the bill and had to go up the the till to pay. the food also wasn’t very pleasant tasting and the carvery units were not managed very well at all, with crowds of people around them most of the time causing us to wait a long time to get our food whilst holding hot plates.
Ellie W — Google review
Literally just finished a Sunday carvery and I must say from a northerner having a southern carvery their Yorkshire puddings were amazing Not just that the whole experience was faultless friendly staff, beautiful interior both rustic and modern , from the outside you wouldn’t think it was that big but with a huge extension at the back along with a sun trap beer garden and huge TV for the sports We thoroughly enjoyed our meal ( son a little disappointed no mash potato but made up for it with the stuffing and roasties ) would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Chichester to come for just a drink even but would highly recommend the food ❤️

We stumbled across this pub bank holiday 2024 and was so impressed with the carvery and service we recommended it this year for our mum's 50th. All I can say for this year is WOW! & Thank you. All staff were approachable, and accommodating to any request for our large table of 20! Fairly priced and excellent quality for all. Thank you

Simply the best Sunday Carvery around, great portions, terrific meat (beef, pork, gammon and turkey) cut to order, huge yorkies, great veg and gravy to die for! Can get a bit rowdy when football is on, but I like that!

Disappointing food, and service as had been looking forward to my work colleagues leaving meal. Food was average, no service, and overcharged for drinks 3 times. Let's hope it was just a bad night, as usually much better.

The George & Dragon Inn is a bed and breakfast in Eartham, Sussex. It offers simple rooms with an airy pub, free breakfast, and Wi-Fi. The inn has been a public house for over 170 years and is proud of its locally sourced seasonal menu.
Room was comfortable and pleasant and a very good size. Great position in the middle of the town. Breakfast was only continental but as we hadn't realised it was included was a nice surprise. Excellent value

I am new to submitting reviews but I feel I must write a few words to thank the staff and record our one night stay in george and dragon, chichester. It was unexpectedly warm and welcoming. We stayed in room 5 on the ground floor which had twin beds with clean linen, comfy mattresses and pillows, and a good, clean bathroom with hot shower. Breakfast was continental with an adequate spread. Could have more options offered, such as eggs or a full English. On the whole, great value for money:) we would be happy to return. Gurjinder

The atmosphere is more of a roadhouse or traveler's inn as opposed to a hotel. The accommodations are adequate and the location is great (with the exception of parking). The room was clean, had a nice water heater for coffee; the bed was sufficiently large and comfortable for a night stay. The staff was very friendly and efficient and we were able to stay on the ground floor for baggage although the upstairs room requires a climb with your luggage. The downside is the room is adjacent to the outdoor seating area of a bar and as the alcohol consumption increases, so does the volume and intensity of conversation. There was still noise from inside the bar after10pm. There is no onsite parking which requires attention to the meter during daylight hours.

Lovely staff and a great location, but our room was poor. The room was badly painted, toilet buttons broken, but worst of all was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. I think the floor may have been softer! Rooms need an update if you are charging £130 a night.

Bed and breakfast? More like no bed no breakfast. Pros- Good location, close to goodwood Cons - £100 extra because it was goodwood weekend - Rooms are hot and stuffy - Mattress's are just springs and you will not sleep at all. - bed sheets are damp because no air - pillows are useless - carpets not hoovered - tv is the size of a postage stamp - no fridge - walls are damp - shower head was gross - shower had mould in it - toilet floor had mould too - toilet seat broken - sink was blocked - breakfast was stale pastries in some kind of incubator from the 70s and juices in glasses that weren’t clean. The pub itself and the staff are fantastic but this review is just for the stay and the stay was horrible. Adding another £100 on because of goodwood costing us £360 for 2 nights is an absolute joke for what you get

We stayed one night there. It's more like a roadside inn and it has pluses and minuses. Overall it's adequate place. Check-in was fast and efficient, rooms are in the 2 story building behind outdoor sitting area and there is separate entrance so you don't have to go through the bar. Room where we stayed was on the first floor, clean, big enough with a little table and two chairs, nice bed, mugs, water heater, clean bathroom with a shower. On the downside - a window is very small and there is no air conditioner, so it gets stuffy, and also noisy from the outdoor area and a bar which continues way after 10 pm. Wifi signal is only near the window, probably because walls are very thick. No refrigerator.

We had a terrific stay. Dawn, Hannah and Anna Marie were so accomodating. Hannah went out of her way to make sure e had a great stay. I ws hesitant about the continental breakfast but it was terrific with great selection.. more than adequate! Happily stay there again.👍

Honestly can not say how bad this “Hotel” is… Rooms are above night club with music playing till 3am which then just when you think it stops everyone stands outside yelling for another hour, cold showers and then just to top off our room cards stopped working. With no one at the desk and place shut up we phoned the emergency number… which just rang out. We ended up having to book rooms 6 miles away at premier inn!

10/10 hotel! Location is great and rooms are stylish and comfy! The service is amazing- always going above and beyond to help! Definitely recommend!
Megan D — Google review
This hotel was booked for two nights based on the promise of ample parking, which turned out to be completely unavailable on both days. Upon arrival, was surprised to discover that the ground floor houses a nightclub that operates until 3 a.m., making it impossible to get any rest. The next morning, there was no hot water in the showers—completely cold. Which was a great start for the day. After returning late was greeted with another surprise in the form of room key cards not working. To make matters worse, there was no one at the front desk and neither of the provided emergency contact numbers responded, leaving us with no choice but to find alternative accommodation at our own expense. I’d avoid this place like the plague !!

Liked it, music is loud when the bands are playing, so if you wanna chat this might not be the place for you. But has a good atmosphere especially if they are playing the type of music you like. Only drank here so can't comment on other services.
Vikki C — Google review
Absolutely appalling experience. I was only informed that this place has a nightclub that closes at 3am, only after i made the reservation. Things turned from bad to awful when i was given a room right above the entrance of the club and if it things couldn't get any worst, the room's window was broken and didn't close properly, allowing the noise and commotion coming from the crowd right into bedroom until the early hours. The manager's assistant was uninterested when i asked for another room or someone to repair the broken window, he also seem to know that there was an issue with the room and asked me to write for a formal complain when i ask him for a compensation. Also the tv in the room didn't have signal and there were old earplugs under the bed.

Northlands Farm and Lakes, located near Chichester, West Sussex, offers a charming rural escape and serves as a picturesque setting for weddings. The 18-acre farmland provides a beautiful backdrop for special occasions. Visitors can also enjoy private woodlands and comfortable accommodations. Families with children can partake in activities like the Easter Hunt, which includes exploring the grounds, interacting with animals, and collecting chocolate eggs. Guests appreciate the warm welcome and thoughtful organization of events at this lovely venue.
We visited for the Easter event, lots of fun. The Easter hunt is lovely as you get to explore all of the farm and grounds. We loved the cuddles with the guinea pigs. Lots of the animals are rescued so by visiting you are helping them. This was our second time visiting and it just gets better each time! We had a really lovely day. It's an absolutely beautiful place, tucked away from the rush of life! Great staff, delicious food, everyone is so helpful and friendly.

We visited the farm for their Easter event and had such a wonderful time. The setting is absolutely beautiful and scenic, with plenty of open space for the animals, all of which looked well cared for. The staff were warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The Easter egg hunt was a real highlight for the kids—it took place across the entire farm, which made it an exciting adventure. At the end, each child received an Easter egg, which was a lovely touch. There were several attractions set up for the event, including a large inflatable slide, a carousel, and other fun amusements. The kids also loved the trampolines, ride-on tractors, and the tractor ride around the farm. There were craft activities and a small van offering coffee, snacks, and food, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. Thank you for a memorable day!

Perfect couple of hours spent at Northlands over 2 days! Our four grandchildren loved the Easter Egg Hunts and meeting the guinea pigs. Tractor rides were good fun as were the activities in the stretch tent. A lovely venue with non of the spend spend for parents ! Just lovely running around in beautiful grounds doing what kiddis love best, finding adventures, playing on trampolines and frames and spotting the wildflowers. Grandad got to visit twice and still couldn't find all the eggs , good job the kiddos were there to take over!! Thank you team, will be seeing you later this year and so looking forward to it!!!!!

Took my nephew to their easter egg Extravaganza last weekend. It was such a wonderful experience! Easter egg hunt was so good, a tractor ride and visiting all the animals. Such a great venue and event for all families. Staff were lovely, friendly and so good with children. Food and drink delicious too! Highly recommend!

I visited Northlands Farm for the Easter hunt. It was brilliant and very well organised. All the people on site were very friendly and accommodating. The lady doing the sunflower pots was brilliant and also explained how she had made the giant painted Easter eggs! It really showed the effort gone into making a special event for the families attending. The grounds were beautiful also and animals very sweet and well looked after. My children and I are looking forward to attending future events.
Lianna G — Google review
Attended the Easter Extravaganza, we had a very warm and friendly welcome as we drove in and parked under a blossom tree! We walked up to the house along by the lake and the children were given maps for the Easter egg hunt and we picked up our tickets for the tractor ride. We then went to the tent and the children were helped to plant sunflower seeds in a little bunny pot. We then petted the guinea pigs who were very well behaved. We spent a little time playing some games and feeding the ducks. Then it was time if our tractor ride through the bluebell woods and along the lakes before being introduced to the donkeys! Next it was time for our Easter egg hunt, we had the map with clues to help us find the hidden eggs, the children (and adults) had great fun finding the eggs. We had a picnic lunch by the lake. It was idyllic and we all had a great time. Looking forward to the next event. Thank you for a fabulous day.

We went for their Easter fun day. Arrived at 11.30 and stayed the whole day, plenty for kids to do with arts and crafts, play equipment, the Easter trail (apparently we can't follow a map!) but all plastic eggs found and swapped for a chocolate egg, dairy free catered for which was much appreciated. Add in the rescue animals and guinea pig petting, plus tractor ride and the kids had an amazing day.

Highly recommend! We had an amazing stay at the chalet with our two dogs. Check in and the booking was made super easy with great instructions on how to enter the property. The information provided about the facilities around the area was super helpful too. The chalet was very cosy and made a perfect, well needed getaway for us! We will definitely come back with more time to explore the beautiful grounds next time! Thank you for being amazing hosts

Chichester Park Hotel offers a charming blend of comfort and convenience, making it an ideal spot for both leisure and business travelers. Nestled on the outskirts of historic Chichester, this hotel features traditional rooms that are simply decorated yet spacious, providing ample storage and natural light. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the indoor pool or unwind at the refined bar after a long day. The hotel's classic restaurant serves delightful meals, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Stayed there during work for a week, the staff were really helpful and the room clean and tidy. I ordered room service 3 times and although a little pricey it was convenient after a long day at work. The breakfast is great with a good selection. They also have a bar that serves the same food the restaurant does, if you want a less formal setting. The spotlights in the room were quite bright I couldn’t have them on as reading lights so I went to dunhelm across the road and bought a little lamp for the week, and a small fan as it was so hot in the room. The only real complaint is a sewage smell from the newly renovated bathroom in Room 124, i couldn’t have the door open all week and on an evening it was pretty strong. It looked like a little leakage from the seal where the toilet was fitted on the floor.

From arriving for the Easter weekend to booking out, the service we received was excellent. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. The breakfasts were cooked to perfection. We had a birthday celebration in the function room and once again the food for the buffet couldn't be faulted. Stayed there before and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Chichester Park Hotel.

I went there last week for a Sunday lunch with a group of over fifty. We were seated in one of the big event rooms and it was very nicely decorated. The tables had big flower displays in the centre . On arrival parking was easy and close to the entrance. It has a lovely reception area , soft chairs and very airy. We felt very welcome. There was a small bar attached to the main dining room but only a small queue and the bar staff were very helpful. All staff were very helpful in fact . The meal was excellent. The first course was enough , sometimes starters are not enough , but these were perfect. The main course had plenty of meat , the vegetables were plentiful and cooked perfectly. After the sweet course the coffee was lovely . Sometimes it's an afterthought and tasteless but this coffee was excellent. All in all a thoroughly good experience . I would recommend it .

Spent a 4 day Christmas break, it was brilliant. The food was out of this world and so much of it, they just kept it coming. The meal service was excellent, what I did notice each table, I was on a table of 9, we were all served at the same time. Considering each member of staff had given up their Christmas, I take my hat off to you all 🤩well done Chichester park. Good facilities as well. X

We stayed here for 3 nights. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. Nothing was too much to ask for from filling up our bottles most days to placing ice cream in the fridge. The hotel was clean friendly and the pool was a little gem. I would say relaxed and perfect. I really enjoyed my stay here for a 3 star this hotel was an example of great cleanliness friendly staff and overall good service. I would not say anything was bad. Great location good to visit Portsmouth like we did. Next time will prob stay longer then 3. Breakfast was outstanding to the fried choice and then the fresh quality fruit or small pastries. Decaff was cool I had a big cafe tiere each breakfast. Just over all great choice!

Stayed here recently for a few days. Was right by the train station, so easy to travel from train with bags. The staff was nice, and the room was clean. I've stayed at other Premier Inns and they've yet to disappoint. Nice stay, no complaints.

Had to wait longer than Necessary to check in. (Check the cctv)The reason why? The receptionist was having a bit of a love fest with the 4 young guys that were checking in. She couldn’t do enough for them, they asked if they could book breakfast for 7am, she replied they were fully booked but could squeeze them in. When I asked (out of irony) if I could be squeezed I received a firm no. When the guests had finally checked in the receptionist did not acknowledge me until I stood directly in front of her and her response? You ok? Er no not really I thought. She didn’t mention the parking set up until I asked. The staff member in the restaurant was very friendly. The receptionist then made her way into the bar to serve the earlier guests. I feel like I knew about her dissertation more than I really needed to hear. The rooms were clean but pillows hard. And it was a quiet night. Think there may need to be some additionally training required on customer service.

Premier Inn Chichester is slightly (only a few minutes) outside of Chichester city centre. I stayed in an accessible room which was spacious with plenty of turning space and a large comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean, tidy and presentable with plugs by the bed and plenty of lighting options. Large flat screen TV with multiple channels. Area has several eating options within walking distance. Close to cinema and bowling alley, railway station and bus station. Taxis available from the railway station.
Kerenza H — Google review
The staff here are lovely and friendly, we had a good laugh with them during our 3 night stay. Would I stay here again, most definitely! My only issue is like all premier inns, they don't have enough staff, so waiting around for everything has become the norm. Unfortunately for them I have been using other hotels as a result where possible and convenient.
Mark R — Google review
Overall a good stay with a few minor issues: Great location with easy free parking. Friendly helpful welcome and reception staff helpful. Rooms really nice and room requests taken note of which we appreciated. One room ready due to early check in paid for but other not ready due to lack of staff. Air con worked well but would switch off at times, including at night which made it stuffy but could open windows instead. Breakfast staff helpful. Booked tables due to disability but messages not passed to restaurant about bookings. Lift broken for few days during our stay but reception kindly offered to carry case up. Lack of cleaning in communal toilets in lobby eg bin ( without a lid) not emptied despite alerting reception. Despite having breakfast about 8am, ( not late) on the 3 days there was a general lack of supplies for continental breakfast. On 2 days; no pastries at all which is disappointing. The staff work hard and do their best and are having to multi task and help out in other areas, but I think that more planning is needed for eg breakfast supplies as the hotel knows that lots of people stay here for business so it’s a busy hotel but they charge a lot for breakfast and should supply what’s on the menu and order more in if a large business booking. Overall a good stay and would stay again for the easy free parking, great location as an easy walk into Chichester, drive to the Witterings, plus restaurants and cinema at Chichester Gate too and the little harbour.
Sophie B — Google review
Shocking. Avoid if possible. Shamefully understaffed. Waited 30 minutes to be checked in. Only 1 member of staff on site for the whole hotel, who was trying to sort a room problem out, check people in and serve at the bar. No better at breakfast. 2 staff serving who looked very unhappy and totally demoralised, with not a smile in sight. Had to keep asking for cutlery and food not being replenished. Waited over 50 minutes for our breakfast to be cooked. Really felt sorry for the few staff who were on shift. Safe to say I won't be going back which is a shame as the location is very good.
Wendy H — Google review
Premier Inn's generally are now over priced for basic 3 star accommodation and this particular one I booked then cancelled and rebooked due to extortionate prices. We have been staying in Premier Inn's in many places for many years and had excellent service at reasonable prices, not so now and have found them to be very skimpy on the provisions for tea and coffee. This time we had one tea bag each and no coffee and one packet of sugar. The room was clean but not very warm the temp outside had dropped to 1 degree and the heater did not seem to be working efficiently. Although we did not intend to have breakfast the following morning we were not asked if we wanted it which we have always been in the past. I think there are other hotels and B+B's that are more reasonably priced and are better value for money especially when a lot of them include the breakfast in the price of the stay. This review is not a reflection solely on this Premier Inn but on the company generally. The reception staff were pleasant and polite.

Walking distance from centre of the city and right beside the cinema and eateries for fast food, if you like that kind of stuff. Handy to get back onto the main road when leaving the area. Lift was broken so a bit difficult trying to carry a heavy suitcase up 2 flights of stairs and no suggestion of help from reception, just oh sorry the lift is out of order

Self-catering accommodation
The Clock House is a charming one-bedroom Georgian property located in the heart of Chichester. It offers boutique-style self-catering accommodation with beautiful decor and off-street parking in a cobbled courtyard. Despite its central location, the house is tucked away on a quiet street, providing a peaceful retreat just a short walk from the town center, Festival Theatre, and cathedral. Guests praise the owner's attention to detail and thoughtful recommendations for exploring Chichester.
Fabulous place to stay, being in a great location with parking so close to Chichester is a real bonus but the house is wonderful too. Our second visit because we loved it so much the first time! Rachel is a lovely host and nothing is too much trouble for her. The cottage is really well appointed and arriving to a fridge and bread bin stocked with essentials (and treats!) means that you can settle in really quickly without worrying about when you can have your first cuppa!

A beautiful place to stay in the most amazing location! Rachel is such a helpful and thoughtful host. Using the Clockhouse as my first place to get to know Chichester in, Rachel really helped me feel settled in and was always easy to communicate with. Thanks Rachel!

The best one bed house we have rented in the UK. We go away a lot, so this is high praise indeed. Our favourite ever rental is in Devonport, across the water from Auckland. This is certainly more accessible! Every little detail has been carefully thought through, even including the use of a spare phone adapter. We really appreciated the fresh bakery items, flowers and the personal welcome card Rachel had left for us. Her communication was really good too. Peace, quiet, luxury and a central location - we highly highly recommended. 🙏

Always a winner for us, and first on our list when visiting Chichester. Rachel the owner goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met and nothing seems to be of any trouble for her... She's a true host. We have been staying at the clock house for a few years now and Rachel is continuously improving an already perfect house.. It looks great Rachel. Although it's petite and situated so close to the town centre... It provides a restful and intimate space of your own to relax and unwind in. We love it 🏡♥️

My now husband and I booked the Clock House for our micro wedding and we are SO glad we did! What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay and get ready in, with everything you could possibly need, right down to small touches like spare phone chargers. Rachel had left muffins, pastries and bread for us plus milk and orange juice so we were good to go straight away. I felt immediately at home there and the courtyard space was particularly lovely to have, where we gave our parents a glass of fizz before the ceremony. We were absolutely blown away when coming back from our reception to see that Rachel had come back while we were out to tidy up and hang bunting and fairy lights for us - what a wonderful, touching surprise! I thoroughly recommend the Clock House to anyone looking for a comfortable city-centre bolt hole with lots of character. It made our day extra special!

We have just returned from two nights at The Clockhouse and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The way the house has been decorated is absolutely wonderful, and we arrived to some lovely treats (muffins and fresh fruit) as well as pastries, juice, milk, butter and bread ready to go, as well as a personalised welcome card. We thought this was a really lovely touch. The bed is super comfortable, and Rachel even organised for extra pillows to be placed on the bed at my request. We both slept so well and were really surprised at how quiet the surroundings were even though we were right in the centre of the city. The location is excellent and we were just round the corner from the many shops, bars and restaurants in Chichester centre. We went to Artie’s Kitchen for tapas which was very nice, and Boston Tea Party for brunch which was also very good. Being able to park at the property was also a definite plus, and the outside space is really lovely! We even got the fire going one evening and I think this would be really lovely in the autumn or winter. I can’t recommend this place thoughtless enough! Thank you! Caroline

The Clock House Top Notch - 5 Stars!!! We stayed here for the long weekend of the Goodwood Revival 2022. This accommodation is immaculate - very comfortable, secure, beautiful and tastefully decorated. So many thoughtful personal touches were included to give us a real welcome. Communication with the host was exceptional and access to the property very straightforward - particularly appreciated as we arrived late at night. Perfectly situated for local restaurants and shopping and very convenient for Chichester Railway Station. We felt like we had our own personal little fortress for the weekend (and now almost wish we could keep it secret!). Thank you so much for an excellent experience - we will be back! We just spent a lovely long weekend celebrating our anniversary at The Clock House. It's very close to the centre of Chichester, very handy for wandering around and shopping but sufficiently Off The Beaten Track to be nice and peaceful. It is also close to the city walls which made a lovely walk. The proprietor couldn't be more accommodating and the additional treats provided were much appreciated. Would highly recommend and would stay there again if visiting the area.

Loved the day out at Goodwood, great location. Went around the grounds on an open track day. Well kept grounds. Didn't visit anything else then the grounds and viewing area of the track so can't comment on anything else at the moment.

Chichester Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, is a Norman edifice located in Chichester. It offers Church of England services and features a stunning Marc Chagall window. The cathedral is renowned for its grand scale, with local lore suggesting that all 23,000 citizens of Chichester could fit within its walls simultaneously. Visitors can enjoy free guided tours and explore the on-site cafe and gift shop.
Beautiful and interesting! Very friendly staff and one of the less Cathedrals were you don't have to pay exorbitant entry prices. Donations are welcomed, totally fair!!!

Chichester Cathedral – Timeless and Tranquil Chichester Cathedral is a stunning blend of Norman and Gothic architecture, with soaring arches, intricate stonework, and a peaceful atmosphere that invites reflection. Entry is free, though donations are welcome, and the space feels both sacred and accessible. Highlights include the Marc Chagall stained glass window, Roman mosaics beneath the floor, and the tomb that inspired Philip Larkin’s poem An Arundel Tomb. The free-standing medieval bell tower is a rare feature, and the guided tours are well worth joining for deeper insight. Whether you're drawn by history, art, or quiet contemplation, it’s a beautiful stop in the heart of the city — dignified, welcoming, and full of quiet surprises.

Wonderful gothic style cathedral. Many modern pieces are to be found inside from the last century which allows for a good balance of new and old. Entrance is free but a donation is suggested plus you can also purchase a range of gifts from the Cathedral shop.
Rob F — Google review
Beautiful piece of architecture. It's dog friendly, and entrance is free unless you want to donate towards the cathedral upkeep. Cannot visit Chichester and miss this gem.
Gr3at W — Google review
I've visited the Cathedral for Choral services over the years, but today I had the opportunity to just wander around at my own pace and actually notice things I hadn't noticed before. Although not a large Cathedral, Chichester is still impressive. Highlights include historic artwork and tapestries and Marc Chagall's stained glass window. There is a section of flooring showing Roman mosaics. The bell tower stands separately to the Cathedral, which I think may be unique The grounds are beautiful and there is a stall with cameras monitoring the progress of the resident falcons and their chicks.

Beautiful cathedral with stunning architecture. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Simply magnificent. The building stands majestically in the centre of the town. Absolutely dominating the landscape. We felt drawn in whilst not being regular church goers this was akin to an evangelical experience. All my senses were heightened and I felt there was a higher spirit guiding me. I came out a changed man and will spend more time doing my charitable volunteering and supporting needy causes. Peace be with you.

Chichester Festival Theatre is a modern hexagonal theater that can accommodate 1200 audience members and hosts an annual festival. Situated in the vibrant city of Chichester, it is known for its exceptional productions and community engagement. The theater's bold thrust stage design makes it one of England's most remarkable playhouses. Its annual summer festival season runs from April to October, attracting over 200,000 attendees and often leading to West End transfers.
We saw the last performance of Top Hat on Saturday and what an amazing performance it was too! Totally faultless and witty to the end. Everything dance was so very precise. Outstanding! Thank you. Chichester is my family home and I have been coming to the theatre since a young girl. Wonderful theatre!
LoriB — Google review
A diverse range of shows on offer here, which I would think will appeal to a wide range of people. Tidy modern interiors and a good view of the stage (even from the relatively cheap seats) give a more intimate feel to the performances than you might otherwise expect. Plentiful parking in the adjacent Northgate Car Park.

This theatre is nothing short of fantastic. I’m a regular user of their Prologue tickets for 16-30yr olds, so I have experienced this theatre many times. The seating in the stalls and circle gives an amazing view no matter where you sit. The foyer area is a lovely place to be, and the shows they put on here never fail to be of the highest quality. This is my favourite theatre I’ve been to, and I don’t think it’s even possible to leave disappointed with your experience!

Modern theatre in Chichester. Nice to go through. Easy access and for disabled people too. Could do with more toilets. Car park nearby but requires payment. Show at the time was "Top hat".

Fabulous show at The Minerva Theatre last night. The Choir. Awesome Theatre show, amazing actors, fabulous voices and great storyline. Staff at the Theatre are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The show was stopped partway through, due to a medical episode by an audience member. The staff and Choir actors handled everything professionally and with care and consideration. We wish the lady a speedy recovery. Overall a fabulous Theatre and I'll be back again as always. ☆☆☆☆☆

Wonderful evening with miriam and friends. All theatre staff helpful and friendly. Thank you. I return as often as i can, very convenient and lovely theatre.

Lovely Theatre. The production of Top Hat could have been better. The choreography was not really sophisticated enough for this style of musical. Some of the costumes did not seem to fit the performers well. The set and music were very good. Singing was adequate. I have to say that the audience loved it.

Plenty of parking in nearby carpark, lovely staff, clean facilities and a lovely theatre. We drove all the way from West London to see Lord of the Flies after we had such a good experience watching The Sound of Music. Easily one of my favourite theatres. There's not really any bad seats in the place. Incredible views from all over

Come here often, Sarah regularly serves us, as well as Sid, cannot ask for more of either of them! All of the staff are always welcome and very friendly. There’s a reason we come here all the time and that reason is the staff, couldn’t ask for better people to make us feel welcome and happy to be here.

Great location. Lovely building. Food choice limited especially if you’re wanting to be healthy. Food not great. Chicken bits had definitely been defrosted in the microwave. Squid had virtually no chilli sauce on and halloumi had too much sauce which made it taste off. I left most of it. Staff demotivated with long queues and wait for food. Tables sticky. Such a shame, it could be much much better. I won’t be back.
Christian H — Google review
Stopped off in this pub for a couple of drinks after going to the Pallant Gallery while waiting for the train back to London, we ordered a bowl of chips with our drinks. The chips were £4 pounds and undercooked. After eating what we could, we were spoken to by one of the waitresses who proceeded to tell us without invitation that over in the USA they were dimming the sun by spreading chemicals through chemtrails and that Bill Gates and his cabal were responsible. It was throroughly uncomfortable as we didn't order a side of half baked conspiracy theories with our underdone chips. I would not recommend.
Adam L — Google review
I visited the pub yesterday with my partner. We ordered a steak sandwich & a fish goujon sandwich. My steak sandwich was dreadful. It consisted of two slices of dry bread with four small pieces of meat and a lot of mustard and some dried up tasteless onions. The cost was £10.95. very poor value. The fish sandwich was not a lot better. Although the food was disappointing I can't fault the staff who were very pleasant and helpful. Such a shame the food lets them down.

The Novium Museum is a modern museum located on the site of Chichester's ancient Roman baths. It houses thousands of artifacts, including mosaics, coins, sculptures, and statues. The museum has three floors, with the first floor showcasing remains of the Roman Baths and offering a video presentation on their construction. Visitors can also enjoy a cup of coffee while imagining the steamy rooms filled with ancient Romans.
We went to see the 'Born in the 80s' exhibition and it was so good to see so many things that reminded me of my childhood. The dressing up area was fun for the kids and loved playing the retro arcade machine (50p per game needed) and my skills have not stood the test of time! The film posters and toys section brought back many memories. The exhibition is not large, but neither is the cost to get in, and it was lovely to be reminded of all the 80s music, video and food. We'll worth a visit especially if you have teenagers to show them how we used to entertain ourselves back in the day.
Toby O — Google review
Nice museum to spend an hour. You can see the remains of an old Roman settlement which are well preserved. The I Grew Up in the 80s exhibition was good to see as I was born in this era there was an extra cost of £5.00 to see it but all goes to the museum.

Absolute gem of a museum in the centre of this lovely city of Chichester. Really interesting, well presented, lots of interactive things to do also, library, videos to watch, gifts, postcards and maps....Parking nearby. The museum has large lifts. It's free but so worth a donation.

What a wonderful place. We went to see a temporary exhibit (small cost) and the rest of the museum is free. I was stunned when i walked in and saw an entired floor of roman remains (bath house) ...pieces of a mosaic on the wall and many, many amazing pieces. Highly recommend heading over, the ground floor is great for seeing the roman past, 1st floor is good local hostory (very interesting- but warning it does contain human remains- bones) and a small exhibit room at the back which is currently about pride 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ in Chichester with personal stories and history/information. The top floor is currently devoted to the temporary exhibit 'i grew up in the 80's' -(on until 8/6/25) i highly recommend this for all ages whilst it is there and i really hope the museum will do a Ninties one soon as it was amazing!! From July 2025 they will have an exhibit on local company Shippam's (which some may know as Princes- think canned tuna and fish paste!) and how they were an integral part of the town. 👍
Sara R — Google review
On our last visit to Chichester, we saw there was an 80's exhibit at the museum. It was only a fiver to be transported back to that fabulous decade. Sights and sounds, a small dress up box and a video game with our favourites games of the day gave us a happy hour of recollection. It was nice to send photos to mother in law with the 'eh do remember these?' tag. It was interesting to see the Chichester history too, and the Roman remains were so beautifully displayed. I didn't take pictures of that though, no just lots of Atari, BT dial phones and us in shell suits with bum bags and bucket hats! 😂 Staff were cheerful, helpful and everywhere was clean and well presented. Definitely worth a visit to see what's on next.

Nestled behind the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace Garden is a serene oasis that invites visitors to unwind amidst its stunning landscapes. This historic garden boasts an impressive collection of native flora and features like storyboards that narrate its rich history. Wander through the meticulously maintained formal flowerbeds, where vibrant colors pop against the backdrop of ancient walls. The arboretum showcases around 100 exotic and rare trees, while additional highlights include an enchanting Alpine garden and a wildlife haven.
I originally come from Chichester and return a couple of times a year. I never tire of visiting the beautiful Bishop's Palace Gardens. They are a real sanctuary and haven of peace, accessible to all and free to visit. They are very well maintained by the gardeners and there is something to see all year round. My attached photos are from different seasons of the year to show the variety of plants. There aren't any toilets in the gardens but there are public toilets in the cathedral cafe which is also excellent and very well worth a visit, especially the outside seating area.

A beautiful space within the Roman walls and just near the Cathedral and main shopping streets. All year there is something to see from Spring bulbs to full Summer colours and Autumn leaves. There is a walkway around the Roman walls so you can look South from the top of the walls. Not accessible if you are in a wheelchair but access to the park from the street or Cathedral grounds is available to everyone. Lots of sunny spots and shade in the Summer.

Beautiful and tranquil place to sit, eat or just take in the colours any time of the year. Or you can cheer on the squads of volunteers who help to maintain this lovely secluded spot.
Michael L — Google review
The sun broke out unexpectedly after I'd been into town for a haircut, so instead of going home I decided to make the most of it and take my first walk of the year around the Bishop's gardens. It was a little early in the season but there was still plenty to see and enjoy. I had a cuppa and toasted tea cake in the Cloisters Cafe near the entrance first, then spent a glorious 45 minutes wandering and snapping away. I'd guess another 2-3 weeks or so and it would be a riot of colour as the spring flowers erupt everywhere. A free treat for anyone who wants to bring the family, sit with their partner in a romantic nook, or find a bench to eat their picnic lunch 'out of office'.

Mother and I visited the Dora Carrington and Patterns exhibition and thoroughly enjoyed it. A wonderful building with modern amenities and a delightful exhibition space - well curated and I learnt a lot about an interesting artist. Looking forward to visiting again - to explore both the existing collection and subsequent exhibitions.

Pallant House Gallery was fantastic. The natural light really brought out the textures of the artworks and the quiet part of Chichester made the visit even more special. I enjoyed walking through the beautiful streets of Chichester city before and after the gallery. The special exhibition was brilliant and I was so absorbed in everything that I forgot to take pictures. Afterward, we enjoyed tea and cake at the lovely café with the option to sit inside or outside. A wonderful place for families.
Tshepiso M — Google review
A friend recommended this gallery for our visit to Chichester and I'm so glad they did - it's a real find. The building is lovely - part heritage house and part modern extension but they flow into each other seamlessly. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. The permanent collection of mostly 20th century British art is quite extensive and contains some very important and engaging pieces. We were also fortunate to be able to see the huge temporary exhibition of artists' pictures of other artists (on until November 2nd 2025) which has lots of interesting works.
Richard L — Google review
Fantastic, light and airy building with something to see for everyone. The natural light really made texture and fine detail come to life. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The cafe was exceptional and it was a beautiful day to sit outside in the courtyard. I came to see the Maggi Hambling Nightingale exhibition, breathtaking. The John Piper paintings in the museum collection were such a bonus for me. Also worth saying what an amazing bookshop they had, so many books floor to ceiling.
Andy D — Google review
Excellent mid sized gallery specialising in British 20th-century art, alongside some contemporary work. The permanent collection is displayed in a Georgian townhouse which has a very peaceful atmosphere. I found the staff to be lovely and helpful. Some very strong and recognisable works here.
Liance — Google review
Part is set in a beautiful early Georgian house, amongst the best in Chichester. It's one of the best places in the UK to see high quality 20th century art. Unfortunately the Georgian hose is virtually empty except for the artwork and so has lost its character on the inside. The £17 entry charge is a bit steep for what there is there unless you have a real interest in the sort of art they have on display

This is a different vibe from the guys the other side of town. A little more of a classic simple affair. We stopped in for the for £15 meal deal and that’s good for a starter, bread/rice, side and a main! All the food was decent enough and cooked well. The place just needs more footfall as it was pretty dead and I always see it nearly empty. I hope they get more custom in as it was a decent curry.

Old school Indian food. The decor is very dated compared to other more modern eateries. However has a charm all of its own. The food compared with other Indian restaurants in Chichester is about half price, so well worth a visit

My wife and I went last night at around 6pm. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the ambience was really relaxed with a good buzz. The food & drinks arrived quickly, with staff ensuring we were served in a timely manner. The food itself was incredible! We ordered the garlic naan, pliau rice, Bombay potato, Makhani Chicken & a lamb dish. All were exceptional, and prepared to perfection. The chicken was juicy and tender, the lamb similar. All in all, an amazing restaurant. We're definitely going to return!

Come down to the area from Bedfordshire to visit family and went for the Tuesday night banquet for £14.95. Excellent service with very polite and friendly staff. Only had a Korma but was very nice. Chicken Tikka starter was very tasty, the chicken was perfectly cooked leaving it nice, juicy and tender. My only slight complaint is that the Bombay Aloo had a bbq taste which made the potatoes taste a bit dry. Otherwise, I fully recommend this nice quaint little restaurant, especially for banquet night on a Tuesday. Thank you to all the staff. Sadly I was too hungry to take photos

A proper 'local'. Father and son team, and they, and the staff, are always welcoming. As a local, I appreciate their good choice of well prepared ales. Good food and very sunny garden. It's an old pub not a boutique hotel but it's fine and nice hard working staff. I was worried it would be noisy. Our room was at the front near the road but no problem at all. Park
Located in the northeastern part of Chichester, Priory Park is a public park with lush greenery, a play area, and a bowls lawn. The park has an interesting history as it was once home to a monastery and even housed a castle. Recently, three well-preserved Roman Houses were discovered beneath the park. While dogs are not allowed, children can enjoy the play area, aviary, and cafe.
Is a medium sized park, but not much to do. There is a small playground, a cricket pitch & a small reflection garden with benches. Is part of the Chichester City Walls walk, which I'd recommend
Jonathan H — Google review
A 13 century gate way under the field near the bowling green. This park is packed with history definitely worth a visit. There’s also cricket during the summer so a little gem in the centre of Chichester.
Pete — Google review
Priory Park in Chichester is a truly beautiful green space, full of character and charm. The park is steeped in history, surrounded by ancient Roman walls and overlooked by the impressive Guildhall, which makes it feel special compared to many other public parks. Walking through the grounds, you’re met with wide open lawns, colourful flower beds in the warmer months, and plenty of mature trees that provide shade and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a place that feels perfect for a gentle stroll, a picnic with friends, or simply sitting back and taking in the surroundings. The park is also well maintained, with paths that are easy to navigate and facilities that make it welcoming for families, couples, and visitors of all ages. There are tennis courts and a children’s play area, so there’s something for everyone, whether you want to relax or get a bit more active. The central location means it’s easy to stop by when exploring Chichester, and it’s an ideal spot to take a break from the bustle of the city centre. The only slight downside is the number of “no dogs” signs scattered around the park. While it keeps the lawns clean and family-friendly, it does mean dog walkers miss out on enjoying this lovely space with their pets. Overall, though, Priory Park is a gem in Chichester — pretty, peaceful, and worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy a slice of nature in the heart of the city.

Very nice place , great architecture lovely people, bit pricey but everything is nowadays 😆 recommend a visit. Plenty of pubs to relax in , many places to eat in or out ,very family friendly, just be mindful of the odd idiot 🙄
Claire R — Google review
Beautiful park with cricket ground. It id's having surrounded the city walk wall for a gorgeous city view. Cafe and restrooms are available.
Sangita S — Google review
This park used to have a real purpose back in the day of the ‘Real & Jazz Festival’ then with the officious local residents preferring peace and quiet and relatively boring existences it now only has the ‘Fenwicks’ cafe to offer. So if you prefer white bread, undressed Salads, pale and greasy bacon, watery teas and coffee as opposed to Blondie, James Brown, The Human League, washed down with plenty of the best beverages money can buy then this is the place for you. 🎼Take it to the Bridge🎼😎💐🍻☕️
Simon C — Google review
Nice spacious park surrounded by restored Roman walls.
Philip H — Google review
An oasis of calm and peace. There's lots of history here, the park is partly surrounded by Roman Wall and has Norman remains from a motte and bailey. There a nice coffee shop with outside space to sit and enjoy the views across the park.

Holiday park
Chichester Lakeside Holiday Park offers a range of cozy caravans, ranging from one to four bedrooms, nestled in a scenic countryside setting. Guests can enjoy the convenience of having restaurants, bars, and fishing facilities within reach. The park also provides an opportunity for leisurely walks through the diverse landscapes of the South Downs. Additionally, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as hill-top forts, Bosham Quay, and the cathedral city of Chichester.
Stayed here Monday-Friday. It’s such a beautiful park very very quiet which made the get away even better. Some beautiful views & lakes to fish. Entertainment was just right for the kids. Caravans wasn’t very clean had to clean it before I used things such as the kitchen side & cutlery. Other than that it was lovely to stay there & will definitely be coming back!
Jessica R — Google review
The facilities are nice, but the food is horrendous. I'm not expecting a top-of-the-range meal, but I expect it to at least be cooked properly. The kids' portion sizes are great if your child is 3 or under and the pizza was sent back as it was undercooked and the picture attached is how it came back after being "recooked". The manager on shift didn't seem to care and just a really disappointing experience. The staff were understanding (except the manager) so its nothing on them. Unless you really have to eat on site, I'd go somewhere else, even a Rustler's burger would come above food at this place.
Tom M — Google review
Fantastic place located between lakes, a short distance to Chichester, and 15 mins drive to Bognor Regis beach. Didn't expect to find an indoor swimming pool, pub/bar with arcades, and evening entertainment (for kids from 7pm). All made me feel like on all inclusive holidays :) The kids' playground could be a bit better. Otherwise, very happy memories made here.
Jaroslaw D — Google review
Have to say spent the weekend here, I think this is a quieter site to what I am used to, no doubt that could do with a make over which they currently doing. But the entertainment team and bar staff make it such a enjoyable weekend would go again I liked it. The evening bingo and entertainment is awesome bar staff so polite and friendly Anthony top bloke. Pool area great for the kids and again shower area within could do with an upgrade as the shower doesn’t even cover you goes all over the changing rooms area.
Matthew S — Google review
They get a lot right and have had a great time, things they can improve are The park olis aimed at over 5s the parks and entertainment are for slightly older kids. The play park is for over 5s but in reality it is older. Little ones have nothing. The evening entertainment is just too loud at 5 pm. Those wanting a meal before entertainment gets blasted with music so loud you can't enjoy it. They need an evening dinnertime slot where you can eat without being deafened by the entertainment. No point eating there if the disco and sound testing starts at at 5pm and goes on to 8 then bingo. You need a time to just eat! Also the mattresses are waterproof plastic, that is so 1970. No hotel now has plastic mattresses, you just sweat. Great location, lovely bar but spoilt but the overactive entertainment and matresses. We would love to come back but won't for the reasons above.
Kevin M — Google review
It was our first time staying at the caravan site with our dogs for the weekend. The caravan was nice and clean and tidy but unfortunately the double bed was very uncomfortable. We had to use two quilts on top of the mattress and then use the singles as quilts the mattress could do with haven’t a thick mattress protector on top. We was gonna go to the clubhouse, but when we went in there, it was very very busy
Gemma H — Google review
This is a lovely holiday park. We stayed in a lodge and if you are able to stretch, I would highly recommend. It comes with much more space than a caravan, wrap around decking and our lodge had 3 bathrooms which was great as 6 of us were staying here. The clubhouse is nice with beautiful views of the lakes. My 2 children (1 and 5 Yr) enjoyed watching all the birds. We didn't eat at the clubhouse, go swimming (which did look nice and not overcrowded) or make it to the entertainment as our Lodge was perfect for our needs. WiFi is available to purchase in the lodge and worth noting to check what time the shop opens - we went a few times and it was closed. The only thing I would say is unfortunately there were a few 'big kids' that were being a bit unruly in the play park, wrapping the swings over the bar and trying to break the play equipment, which was a shame. The reception team were really pleasant, all in all a lovely weekend break. I only gave a 4 star due to the support from Beth at Park Holidays Central team before we arrived. My 1yr old was in hospital (Mon - Wed) and we were due to arrive on the Friday. I emailed the support team to explain the situation and we were still hoping to make our holiday but if my little boy had to go into theatre we wouldn't be able to come. I asked in this circumstance, would it be possible to move the date. (Lodge is pricey and we had treated my parents so it was a special holiday for us) Beth said this couldn't be done and so we would basically have to loose the holiday if we didn't show. Beth's emails were unsympathetic and the holiday unfortunately wasn't a priority at that point due to the hospital situation but it put even more of a dampener on the worries that we were going through. It would of been nice if there was the support there from Park Holidays and opportunity to move the date, if my son had to of gone in for an operation. Thankfully he didn't have to and was feeling much more like himself come the weekend / holiday.

Travelodge Chichester Central is a relaxed accommodation option that provides modestly furnished rooms, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and parking facilities. If you're intending to drive to Chichester, this hotel, as well as Travelodge Chichester South (located at Gate Leisure Park) and The Cottage, are all popular choices boasting convenient on-site parking.
I stay here regularly. Location is great, staff are always very friendly and helpful. You get the impression they are a happy team; from the ladies who service the rooms to the manager. Julie and Kia looked after us this time. Good: Location, clean rooms, staff, and you might wake up to a view of the cathedral. Sometimes the rooms can be stuffy in hot weather.
London W — Google review
Had a pleasant stay overall. Gina at reception was absolutely lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, but unfortunately the window was broken and wouldn’t close properly, which let in a bit of noise and chill. Aside from that, everything else was just right for a short stay.
Sara I — Google review
The manager Gina was fantastic! Incredible customer service. Quick check in and answered any questions I had. In addition another staff member, I believe was gill was also great. Dropped everything she was doing to help me. Room was clean, good temperature and no issues what so ever

Gina and Faye were incredibly helpful and accommodating! Great location in the centre of Chichester with easy access thanks to free parking!! Rooms were clean and comfortable, would definitely return against
Dax M — Google review
We had an accessible room and it was a good overnight stop. Very close to the centre of town. Unfortunately like most towns some big stores have closed. The staff were helpful and friendly but using the onsite spaces for Blue badge holders was confusing and not as simple as it could be.
Jon ( — Google review
Totally not a place to stay the room was not clean and there was dust everywhere and mold on the windows and curtains and when point this out to the manager who at the time was on what seems like a personal call came out looked at the room and then tried to blame it on the building be and old building which isn’t the case as stay in older building and they not had this problem which shows how much they actually care about the build over their income. Also not right for the manager to say if I thought you have any problems with your health I would move you but all the room are the same so if this is the case then maybe you should think about doing some maintenance on the building!
Illyria W — Google review
Dated rooms, needs a total revamp. No access to mobile data in the hotel which I think is blocked by them. Only 1hr free WiFi daily. The staff were helpful and friendly Location is good as it’s right by town centre hence easy to access any location.

Fresh towels, water bottles, small sweets on your pillow 😊 Toilet is in a small hallway exactly how a house toilet would be, there is clean bath top if you need to take shower. If you book breakfast including you will have access to small kitchen with coffee, juice, fruits, some small breakfast options like toast, cheese and butter. It was convenient for our one night stay.

Really nice place and wonderful hosts. We stayed here while we visited GoodWood. It’s really hard to book anything when GoodWood festivals are on so we were quite lucky to see availability here so we booked immediately. It turned out to be a fabulous place! Really nice breakfast with fresh fruit 🍇, good brewed coffee ☕️ and fine omelette! The other great thing about this place is the fabulous location! Just a short ten to 15 minutes walk into the town centre. Just 3 bedrooms so nice and quite stay. Highly recommend!

Very nice accommodation and a lovely couple running the guest house. Nothing was too much trouble and will have no hesitation to go back when needed. They have a big drive so parking is no problem. It is a quick walk into chichester town approx 25 mins depending on what speed you normally walk.

A three evening stay, in a great location with good off road parking facilities. The room was adequately furnished, a shower and hot drink facilities, a small tv with great reception and it felt homely. A great greeting, two mugs of tea on arrival and a hand with our luggage. Lots of breakfast choice freshly cooked and a good selection of cereals, nothing was two difficult for the proprietors, who in turn provided a first class stay. Even learnt how to cook stir fry's properly a definite return to this

Embark on the Chichester City Walls Walk to immerse yourself in the rich history of this charming city. Dating back over 1800 years, the Roman walls and gates still stand strong, with more than 80% of the original structure preserved. As you stroll along the well-preserved sections in Priory Park, Jubilee Park, and Bishops Palace Gardens, you'll be treated to picturesque views and a glimpse into Chichester's past.
We really liked this walk after our exploration of the Cathedral. Nice ambience and good views from many vantage points. Also great views to the Cathedral Spire.
Ross D — Google review
Unable to complete the city walls walk as a large (and maybe the best part) is only accessible in priory park, thanks to chichester council dogs are not allowed in the park. So this is a walk you cannot take you dog on. We also had planned to have coffee in the park cafe, also out of bounds.

Follow Mr & Mrs R on TikTok. Only managed to walk a small part of the Roman wall. But from what I’ve seen so far it’s definitely worth going back to complete the whole walk all the way around the outside of Chichester. Watch this space for more photos to come
