The 35 best lounges in San Juan

This was, hands down, our favorite spot in San Juan. We went both in the morning and at night, and both experiences were amazing. The bartenders were incredibly kind and professional — they prepared our cocktails right in front of us, based on personal recommendations, and really made us feel special. The cocktails were absolutely fantastic. We tried several different ones, and each had its own unique and delicious flavor. The atmosphere is that of a stylish, elegant bar — I’ll share some photos! Whether you’re looking to relax after a long, hot day or wind down after a night out, this is the best bar in Old San Juan. Highly, highly recommended!

Oh my god, La Factoría with live salsa completely blew my mind! The vibe, the dancing, the music — it’s all just incredible. Definitely a place you can’t miss. The cocktails are excellent, and it’s such a cool experience discovering hidden little bars behind different doors. It does get really hot inside, but honestly, I had an amazing time and would go back in a heartbeat.

I went to dance at this place with my friends because everyone recommended it. It did nit disappoint. It 's located in Old San Juan. Every room in this 2 story building has a bar with a different theme and music, so you can walk around from room to room and enjoy different types of music rhythms like Salsa, techno, reggaeton, techno, etc. The salsa room was packed with people dancing. It seemed like a good combination of locals and tourists.

It's somehow highly rated, but not worth the hype. It's kind of different bars all in one place where you can hop on, but becomes costly as you step up! You go here just for the atmosphere, but not for anything else. Cocktails and the food are good and so is the location.

Reviewed as a bar when looking for delicious drinks this place was ok at best. We arrived close to open and all the additional rooms were closed, so we were told lots of drink options weren’t available. Staff were friendly and service speed was decent. It definitely sounds like this place is a lot of fun at night as basically a club, but definitely not a place for amazing drinks. If you’re looking for great drinks go to Kane Rum Bar. Overall for all the amazing reviews this place was ok, so if you want the best experience for what they offer go at night.

La Factoría has the reputation that it has for very good reason!!! It IS the epicentre of fun, excellent vibes, superb live music and salsa dancing with people at all different levels. We went after finishing a late dinner on a Saturday night, and the vibes that we were hoping for - we received with open arms! There was no long line to get in, and it was definitely crowded inside. Getting drinks wasn’t too crazy of an ordeal — but most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, it was SUCH an amazing time!!

This bar definitely has a great atmosphere. It has different rooms and each room has its own bar. Music is always on point here; can be loud but you’re still able to talk. It’s a tourist area, prices are according to that. Tip: there’s an area most people don’t know about. Have fun looking for it.

JungleBird is located in a lively neighborhood with plenty of bars and music. I loved the cool aesthetic, and the vibe was great—everyone there seemed really happy. We only had drinks, but the food looked delicious and definitely worth trying next time.

Their mix drinks were average. It was hard to come here after Kane Rum bar which really put the standard high. Their prices were on par for the area just not the quality compared to Kane. We sampled some appetizers, but overall nothing was worth mentioning. Staff were friendly and service was fast, but the place was empty. Overall I really wanted to like this place it was just a let down.

I’m soooo happy I found this cocktail bar. I tried a couple drinks and all of them were fantastic. The best part were the prices. $10-$14 for a drink that’s made with love and care? Go next door and pay $9 for a rum and coke.

Interesting place. The good: The drinks and service were great. The food was good as well. The other side: This places smell really weird. The music is quite loud and the tables and menus need updating. Would I go back? Probably, yes, the drinks were that good.

I cannot speak highly enough about Junglebird and the lovely bartenders. My husband and I showed up like a couple of nerds at 5:01 to be sure we could get seats at the bar. We got super VIP treatment by Robertson and Ed.. they schooled us on PR tiki history and served the most amazing drinks.. my favorite of all time the green swizzle that I’ve since been obsessed with recreating. The food was also bomb. This review is a bit late. Went in December 2024. Can’t wait to return this December!

I don’t say this lightly when I say, they have the best tuna tartare on the island. I’ve been visiting PR monthly for the past year and I’ve had a lot of opportunities to try different restaurants’ version on it, and JungleBird found the secret sauce! The drinks are good, i love the atmosphere and the service has always been acceptable…but I’m just here to tell you all to go try the tartare and report back!

Food shouldn’t be overlooked here. One of the best Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had and it was a special. Tiki cocktails are flawlessly made and service is kind and quick. Absolutely love this place. Can’t wait to recommend to friends who visit and to come back myself.

First night In Porto Rico We decided to stay in the old city it seems to be authentic and pretty, for those who like history and learning about the city is the place to be. We went out to this place which was recommended bu many people There’s is a lot of bars and restaurants on the same area all around the food market which I will visit today The bars are basics but the ambience is funny The only things is that they like listening to music very very loud and while you are walking in between bars it’s very annoying between Latin and hip hop music We tried différents food and bites Wasn’t that bad but we didn’t discover the heart of portoricain food yet. I will’ be posting more about San Juan … to be continued

La Placita de Santurce is a vibrant spot in San Juan that truly comes alive on weekdays and on the weekends, this was on a Thursday! The atmosphere is electric, filled with music and the sounds of laughter. It’s a fantastic place to mingle with locals and enjoy delicious street food. Literally dancing and bar hopping in this square and everyone was friendly. People are here to have a good time. La Placita is definitely worth a visit!

Totally loved this place. Even though it wasn’t as busy when we went, we still had fun. Walked around a bit and everything is closed. Great vibe. Go on the weekend of you want to real party.

Loud music everywhere. So many choices of Adult Beverages to choose from. Local dishes at just about every restaurant. It’s a must go if you’re looking to dance and drink.

La Placita is a great place to party in Santurce. We stayed close by and went every night we were in Santurce. We had dinner in one of the restaurants one night and just got picadores because we were going to walk around. My favorite spots were La Buena Barra, Tulum, Dirty Monkey, and Paradiso. Walk around and enjoy all the music and drinks, its amazing. Be aware that the prices are much higher in this area than outside of the city! Also many people, if not everyone came here after the concert ended.

Loved it. Drinks were good and music was great and fun too. Would say everyone comes around 11pm-12am! Would come again.

It was lit. I had Mofongo with chicken and garlic sauce. So yum and the service was great. So many options for dancing, hookah, drinks and food. Time went too fast.

We tried the shrimp & pineapple dish — the flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The fish tacos were equally amazing: crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with vibrant slaw and just the right touch of spice. To drink, we enjoyed an Old Fashioned made with Maker’s Mark — expertly crafted and smooth — and a refreshing house cocktail that was bright, citrusy, and ideal for the warm Puerto Rican evening. Service was attentive but relaxed, and the overall vibe was chic without being pretentious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, creative cocktails, and a memorable experience in Old San Juan!

The saving grace to our experience was the shrimp with pineapple and the aioli and our lovely server. Now the worst - The sweet and sour meatballs straight up tasted like something out of Chef Boyardee canned ravioli or the meatballs that come in them. We took a bite and were like nope. Luckily our server gave us grace and offered for us to get a replacement, which we did again with the shrimps. No wait for a table on a Tuesday night. We sat on a high table on the balcony which so cool to people watch. Drinks were okay.

Hidden gem in Old San Juan. Located on the second floor of a lovely historical building, with arched balconies overlooking the picturesque views of this magestic part of town. The design is sophisticated, ambience is chill and pleasant Food is delicious and the cocktails are absolutely amazing. Bonus - the downstairs cafe of St. Germain is also highly recommended

We had such an amazing dinner here. The tapas were great but our server was better! Adrienne was our best server of the trip! She went above and beyond to make sure our friend's anniversary dinner was special and gave great food suggestions. We loved all the tapas except the Mac and cheese. Restaurant Seemed sketchy from the outside but we went up the stairs and loved it all.

This is a great place and location. Right down in old San Juan on the 2nd floor, they have a bunch of drink specials and great food. We visited on a Saturday night. This place was happening with a lot of traffic. We were able to sit on the balcony, and people watched for a while and had a little dinner and some cocktails while we sat here and people watched. It's a lot of fun. Definitely stop by.

We stumbled upon this sweet spot on a Thurs around 5pm. The service was top of the line. The food was delicious. We had the ceviche and patata bravas. It’s a vibe. Editing to add: we came back an additional four more times during our trip. The brunch was stellar. We had mimosas and an incredible brunch. You guys are amazing!

Eloy and Lorna were magnificent! The experience was nothing short of perfect. The ambiance was relaxing. Dim lit, music not too loud, and balcony seating for two. It is freaking awesome. Very romantic. Came here for our honeymoon and this place was absolutely a highlight. In fact, we had brunch downstairs at the St. Germaine (same owners, different aesthetic and vibe- both outstanding) and now we are here for cocktails and dinner. We will be returning to Puerto Rico just for this experience. Both Eloy and Lorna were very informed and shared the rich history and significance of this particular establishment on Puerto Rico’s history. Just awesome. Don’t miss out.

Unidad is unique and gets a well deserved gold star from me. It is in fact my favorite bar to have ever visited and will remain a permanent staple in my visits to San Juan. The cocktails are made with an excellency that cannot compare to any place I have visited in other places. The bartenders are in fact the definition of mixological sorcerers, carefully crafting each elixir with an intoxication that can't be described. I came two nights in a row and left incredibly pleased. Make sure to reserve ahead of time, they have seen a surge in popularity and it's no longer a secret like it once was. There is no dress code, but I recommend looking a bit dapper for this one, as it has a charming esthetic. Although I am a bit of a frugal spender, the value of this place far exceeded my expectations and thus I feel it is justified in the pricing.

Chelimar was great and a friendly! This is the cutest speakeasy with the best drinks and we will be back for sure!

The cocktails are extraordinary. I got the smoky but berry fresh and the presentation was so great and the drink was amazing. We also got food and the steak was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

The cocktail game is A-1, no cap. On the hunt for a speakeasy in PR we stumbled upon this gem. The cocktails were very delicious and unique. The names are very clever and fun and the mixes were all intriguing. Tons of unique combinations of flavors. The interior is very dark and sexy. I recommend making a reservation as this saves headaches and time. I won't disclose how to find the spot because what's the fun in that lol. Enjoy the Hunt. The staff was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere inside is also very elegant and sexy. Next time I'm in PR I will make another visit. Definitely a date night spot and be prepared to pay for quality. Cocktails do range at $15 price tags but honestly you look.fir.these types of places to elevate your experience and sometimes that means digging a bit deeper into your pocket. Very much worth it.

I came back after almost a year from my original review and this bar and restaurant continuing to improving, their quality of drinks, food, security and customer services. During my last visit I saw a art exhibition from one of the bar's staff. It's by far one of my favorite's places. A unique bar, great environment, with nice decoration and outstanding customer service. It serve food with great taste and better variety of drinks. Enjoy with the company of your best friends and love one's.

Best food in Condado (and we tried many restaurants in the area) We went here twice and every single dish was excellent. We are vegetarian and loved the corn and pumpkin soups, the salad, the main veggie dish, and even a side of rice and beans. So good! The restaurant has three distinct floors, two of them outdoor with a beautiful breeze and oceanfront view. The staff were incredibly nice and kid friendly.

Oh. My. God. The food was amazing, everything we had. The seafood ceviche, the duck mofongo, the fish the drinks, I cannot express how much you will be sorry if you miss it. I suggest a reservation, the food is good and everyone knows. There is also amazing beach front seating on the patios! I would suggest this as a date restaurant, families go but I would not take kids. Its a very sexy place and the bar was amazing! Great, just great everything.

This place is a must if you are visiting San Juan! I want to say that the food was great but the service was AMAZING!! The staff were very attentive and professional. We ordered the calamari and ropa vieja for appetizers which were quickly bought out, they were tasteful and great portions. For entrees we both ordered the surf and turf which was the best steak and lobster I ever had, the lobster was fresh and steak cooked perfectly to my liking. Overall the experience was 5 stars, the cherry on top was the spectacular view.

The view is amazing. I think the food was fine, even good. It was just not as good as I expected. The drinks were over priced and small. And I thought that the plastic furniture was a miss. Don’t get me wrong, I still have it 4 stars. I just was not as impressed as my friends thought I would be. Planning a 40-50 person wedding in San Juan is not easy if you're on a budget, but Oceano fit all of our needs. We started out looking at the hotels but felt the minium consumption was over the top for what you get. Oceano offered a spectacular view, privacy, and amazing food at a fair price. Negotiations and changes to our contract were all handled by Juan Carlos with the utmost professionalism. We were blown away by the tasting and on the wedding day, our guests raved about the food. The bartenders were on point with fast personal service. We had the pork carving station at our cocktail hour on the 3rd floor and the guests seriously would not stop talking about how delicious the pasta was. My husband's 85-year-old Abuela said the pork was on point, and she's a tough critic! With our 39 guests, Oceano's 2nd floor provided plenty of room for dancing and partying and we were not disturbed by any patrons and music volume was never an issue. Even if we'd had all our 50 guests RSVP I don't think it would have been too tight. The DJ was able to have music on both the 2nd and 3rd floors simultaneously. Do yourself a favor and have the white glove service! The staff at Oceano were so professional, none of my guests realized it was a buffet. The service was phenomenal. No guests waiting in lines or fumbling and spilling dinner on their dresses! Thank you so much Juan Carlos! We really had the best night ever dancing and partying all night with our family!

We were able to get an amazing ocean front table for two around 9pm, same day at Oceano. we were waited on my Gabrielle who was accommodating and thoughtful. The food was served warm (not very hot). The flavors were good. The appetizer was excellent. We mentioned to Gabrielle that we were celebrating a special occasion, she made it a wonderful evening with sparkling wine and dessert too.

Loved my entire surf and turf dish!!! Very tasty!!! The red snapper dish could have used a little more seasoning. The chocolate cake dessert was good as well...according to my friends and the plate!!! 🤗 The best restaurant in the area❣ And Deigo the waiter made the night out very pleasant as well and the scenery was lovely!!!

As always, this is just my personal review. This place has its own style—if you're looking for a Mojito or other ordinary drinks, you’d better look elsewhere. Here, cocktails are for those who appreciate style and authenticity. They do have familiar drinks, but for the full experience, it's best to go for their signature cocktails. As for whether I’d come back—definitely yes! And if you have the time, visit the rooftop in the evening—it’s an unforgettable experience.

Nice place in the streets of old San Juan with a great Atmosphere, good stop if you need a break to get out of the sun with very detailed cocktail menu. Had the Claude and Sherry was clean with smooth finish with their rum. Should have tried on the rocks but was pressed for time but was happy with my choice.

Their house rum was quite delicious. We had time to kill for a reservation so we came upon this place and so happy we did. Their prices atmosphere was relaxing. A Hidden Gem in Puerto Rico! Scryer Rum is truly a hidden gem. Their house rum is absolutely delicious — smooth, rich, and unlike anything else I’ve tried. I’ve visited several whiskey distilleries across the U.S. and abroad, and this place easily ranks at the top of my list. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the passion behind their craft really shows in every detail. My only wish is that they could sell their rum directly on location, but beyond that, everything about the experience was outstanding. If you’re in Puerto Rico and enjoy spirits, this is a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!

San Juan truly knows how to do rum! Scryers was a great spot to just chill and have a few cocktails to wait out the hottest heat of the day!

Delicious rum that tastes more like bourbon. Fun location. Mixed drinks are quite pricey and their spin on a pina colada left much to be desired. I'd love to get the rum at home for sipping.

Is a bit small in the inside the entrance was free for the lady’s . I visited this club with some friends to celebrate the birthday of one of them. The vip was around 700$ two bottles include but we ended up paying 948$ .music was good .

In my honest opinion Brava is one of the best clubs i have gone to in Puerto Rico. It has incredible DJs, a great atmosphere and those who work there (bartenders, hostesses, and security guards) are friendly and respectful. If you’re looking for a very packed day, full of locals, go on a thursday you wont be disappointed! Although it is a bit smaller than other clubs it has plenty of space to dance, sit and relax, and the guards make sure to not overly pack the place. I trully cant say one bad thing about the place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go!!

Such a cool place! Definitely felt and looked like a high-end club, like something you’d find in New York or Miami. The coco mojito I got was delicious and the crowd was all over the dance floor. The only thing is that it was a little too crowded to dance when I went, so I want to go back on a slightly less busy night just so that I have room to get out on the dance floor.

The drinks and music was top notch! I had such a memorable time with my friends last week. I definitely recommend spending time here!

It was not very fun, the club was way too bright and flashy and the DJ was not very good. My friend and I loved La Placita but if that was your jam, bravo will not be. It’s very overstimulating.

We traveled from NY for a birthday bought a section which could have been a lil bigger for the price but the hostesses were nice and pretty and make ya drinks strong,they definitely don't sell food or snacks so don't go there needed food in ya belly with ya liquor!! They don't really cater to the tourists in the crowd so if your looking for more music from home this is not the place if your a native then yes..they played 1 song we knew then 4 Spanish ones the half of a song we liked and more of there's so we ended up leaving a bit early then we would have liked it jus wasn't that enjoyable since we didn't really understand the music.We ended up finding a place so it wasn't a complete waste.

The main area DJ Alex plays too much rap in English and Spanish. It's really cool but don't recommend the private boots since you are stuck in the main area. The secondary area/ DJ is way better

The view here is ASTOUNDING. Definitely 5/5 for the view. Since I came in the early afternoon on a weekday, I was able to find the best table with the best view and have the entire floor to myself for a couple hours. I was able to read a book with this million dollar view as the background. The food was a bit worse than mediocre, hence the 4/5 star rating. The menu is very underwhelming with mostly subs, burgers and fries, etc. Maybe the chef was trying not to distract the customers from the view? then he's definitely done a great job.

Very lovely rooftop patio and bar! Really good food at a cost that is comparable to any restaurant nearby, except with a killer view! Seating indoor and outdoor but with cover, in case it rains. Staff are very polite, well spoken and quick to help with any needs you have. The only downfall was food takes a while to get out to you, averaging 30 minutes (and no vegetarian options except “sides”.) Right on the beach so you can enjoy your well poured drink overlooking the beach, or city. Definitely recommend for all ages and you don’t need to be a hotel guest to visit this place!

Great spot with spectacular view! Try to get there just before the sunset. Mofongo is delicious! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They play good music you can dance to.

Great view and really good service. The menu is unecclectant and the cocktails are uninspiring....still....go have a few and maybe order an app or 2 with your better half. The staff and the view will make the entire evening worth it all.

The mofongo is amazing! So glad it was moist, in a good way. Everything was fresh. Customer service was great. It’s a vibe and great atmosphere. The after 5 drink is SO good!!

I was very excited to eat and have a drink here, however I'm going to say that the view at night from the side of the restaurant we were on was non existent. Watching a sunset would probably be amazing here, but we weren't able to get in until much later then that. The food, service and drinks were good and we enjoyed ourselves while here.

Raúl behind the bar is a true gentleman and exudes the confidence of an individual who cares and is knowledgeable about his craft. We were able to enjoy various of the drink offerings and take in the calm and relaxing atmosphere. If you are in the area, stopping by is in your best interest for a great cocktail. Love the vibe of this speakeasy, the barber shop theme is awesome, every detail was carefully planned. The got a lot of creative cocktails and every single one we tried was tasty. Very attentive staff, cocktails takes their time. Wednesday night was perfect, not crowded at all. Prices not on menu, but expect to pay $13 per cocktail. Parking on the street, credit cards accepted.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cool vibe bar in the Conado area, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked to the front door, they invited me in, even though they weren't open yet. i I was captivated by the stylish decor and the welcoming atmosphere. The dimly lit interior, coupled with a well-curated playlist, created the perfect ambiance for a night out. The bar staff was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about their extensive cocktail menu. I tried their signature drinks, and each one was a delightful blend of flavors and presentation. What truly set this bar apart was the music. The diverse crowd made for an engaging and fun experience, and I met some interesting people throughout the evening. Overall, I can't recommend this cool vibe bar enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic date spot or a place to hang out with friends, it offers an unforgettable experience. Amazing cocktails, atmosphere, and service! The actual barber chairs are a fun detail. The bartender is a true artist and there is a huge variety of cocktail options on the menu. We went on a Wednesday night and the kitchen was already closed so we didn’t get a chance to try the food, but looked like they had some good munchies as well. A must stop if you are out in San Juan!

We've been wanting a cozy, low key neighborhood bar with decent bar food and can't believe we only just found El Bar Bero! I loved the eclectic, vintage barbershop (bero) decor, good lighting & music- but the drink options were what really impressed. They had all the best "original" cocktails- I had the moscow mule & my husband the house manhattan- along with your traditional island drinks, and they were all expertly made. The bar is really the main attraction of the room, and for good reason- the drinks are perfect! While this isn't a restaurant (so don't expect a server/ you go to the bar to order) they do serve a few food items and again, exceeded our expectations. The fish tacos were delicious and the chicken/sausage sliders- something the door man recommended- were not only tasty but really original. The bill was like $40- which is hard to beat...! We're super excited to have this great local option so close to home!!! . (Broc did have an issue with there not being soap in the men's bathroom, but I'm still giving 5 stars (the women's did!) bc I doubt that's the norm...)

Cocktails are tasty. Cyan was amazing and very attentive. She was so polite and made our first visit to this establishment a memorable one. I’d definitely recommend this place and her customer service to all my friends and family. If I could book her for my wedding just based on her personality I would. Our dinner was absolutely delicious — every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really made the night special was our server, Angel, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Attentive, friendly, and thoughtful from start to finish — truly outstanding service that made the whole experience unforgettable!

The rooftop bar offers a stunning atmosphere with a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, perfect for enjoying San Juan from above. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, with special recognition to Luis, the bartender, for his attentive and personable service. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails, which was expertly crafted and generous with the tequila. The Chicken Fricassee Croquettes were a standout—beautifully presented and full of flavor. This unique and stylish venue is a must-visit for anyone spending time in San Juan.

Such a beautiful place! We had Jenny as our server and she was amazing! The food, the drinks and the views were amazing!! We also spoke with Javier and he was very nice as well! I definitely recommend stopping here

The view was so amazing on our 1st night in Puerto Rico that we came back on our last night. We didnt have a reservation but was able to get a table in the time it took to take the elevator to the roof. As soon as we got off the elevator we were welcomed by staff and sat at a table. The food was amazing both nights and we will definitely be coming back in future trips

I went to this location for my birthday the other day while vacationing in PR. Very intimate, very relaxed and beautiful views. My first dish I ordered was an, appetizer it did have a piece of hair in it, they remade the food. Dinner was fulfilling as well. Only downfall was the bottled water which was $7. Yes I would definitely return

This spot is stunning! The view of San Juan is epic!! For a date night or just to watch the sunset you will not be disappointed! The lobster with risotto was beautiful and so good! Cocktails are exquisite and well balanced!!!

Jenny was a great server. I didn’t like the appetizer that came out and she fixed it with no problem at all. The food was amazing and the view is now a core memory.

Santaella was hands down the best dining experience we had in San Juan. Every dish was bursting with flavor and presented magnificently, the cocktails were delicious and balanced, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuine. The atmosphere is vibrant yet intimate, making it feel special without being stuffy. Yes, it’s pricier than most spots in San Juan, but the quality easily matches Michelin-level restaurants in NYC. Absolutely worth every penny and HIGHLY recommended!

Finally was able to make a reservation this past Saturday. We were sat immediately and Julian was our server. We started with drinks. My brother had the Paper Plane which he enjoyed and I had the Tamarind Margarita. We ordered half the menu and the standouts were the shrimp bao buns, jamon croquetas, goat cheese truffle honey quesadilla for appetizers. The entrees also met our expectations. My shrimp trifongo was creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My hubby's NY strip steak was cooked to temperature and my brother said his fried chillo was the best he's ever had. The vibe when we entered (about 7pm)was weird since they were playing like elevator music but towards the end closer to 9pm they started playing house music. Was hoping they would dim the lights a little as the night progressed but it remained very bright in the dining room. Aside from that minor grievance, we had a very positive experience. So reservations were made for 5 ppl at 10:30PM but seems like they don’t have a time limit on how long people can spend on a table simple because and we spent over 25-30 mins waiting on a table…. At the beginning the experience was not it honestly, especially when you are hungry and the last reservation of the night. So it started off rocky and then when seated certain food items were not available, I really wanted to be optimistic and really give them a chance sooo here it goes… what made it special was a couple of things its right next to La placita, very busy yet fun to go fine dining and party afterwards. However, for me was ambience it was busy but the jazz music really gives the vibes a flow. Even though certain food were not available the waiters provide us with other options to select of seafood, appetizers, red meat. The Chorizo empanadilla delicious, filled with chorizo and maduro. The GOAT quesadilla was what won my heart, so delicious and flavorful with goat cheese over arugula, drizzled writhing a sweet syrup yummy. Popcorn chicken with a sweet curry was good too. But after being told the pastel on was no longer available the chef decided to make us one from scratch and let me tell you IT DID NOT Disappoint! It was delicious, the maduros were smashed in perfect texture, ugh reminds my oh my grandmas pastel on. Let just say it made the beginning of the experience forgetting. The Service very friendly and on top. Even though we did catch a dish that was a bit dirty but that didn’t stop us from getting drinks, which were great and strong.

A bit disappointed. I feel this place is overrated. Nice location, good ambiance, but the food was just OK. Probably good for drinks and meeting people, but from a food quality perspective, I've been in other places in this town that in my opinion are much better for the price you pay. Service was cordial but a bit slow. We got couple of appetizers and one main dish to share but it took almost 2hrs to go through it. Only highlight of the night was the Goat Cheese Quesadilla, flavorful and the White Truffle oil gave it a good dimension. The popcorn chicken was ok, but won't be memorable. And we felt the Lacón Asado (Braised Pork) was too dry, and the caramelized part was not enough to balance it. It felt like a holiday dish that needed a cherry compote, or a cranberry sauce to complement it. For dessert they didn't have the Baked Alaska but we got an alternative Caramel Cake with flambeed meringue, but unfortunately it was extremely sweet. Desserts need a balance too.

The food and drinks were an absolute 10/10. Very unique flavors that work amazing together. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer and pork belly entree! Unfortunately, we did not have the best service during our dinner. Our server was not very attentive to take our orders and it took almost an hour for our entrees. I had told the host that it is my partner’s birthday and if they did something. He said he would tell our server and they brought out whipped cream in a ramekin with a candle…for the price and class of the restaurant - I expected so much better. I would have no problem paying for dessert if they had told me we had to get something.

Exceptional experience!! So great we were blessed to eat here 2 nights in a row!! Our flight was very late getting in and most restaurants closing, but Reinaldo found us 2 seats at the bar. We had grilled octopus appetizer and the seabass entree. The flavors were devine!! Jonathan at the bar has a real talent mixing the exotic cocktails that are offered. He was also very kind and helpful to suggest different dinner and drink options. The service here is exceptional. The second night we loved the ahi pops and tried an ages Puerto Rican rum tasting. Such a beautiful place with magical food and drinks and kind people. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to try out my new cookbook.

We got reservations for Santaella because we heard it was supposed to be amazing. Upon arrival we realized they gave us reservations for Azeteo even though the reservation clearly showed Santaella, which is still the same owners but their menu is significantly different with way less options. We ordered a good amount of food and it tasted good. The portions were small and the prices were on average for higher end food. Overall the meal was fine we were just looking forward to the Santaella menu!

I recently dined at Di Zucchero and I have mixed feelings about the experience. To start, the orange juice was a disappointment as it tasted watered down, lacking that refreshing burst of flavor one typically expects. The pancakes were another letdown; they were hollow and flavorless, failing to impress. The French toast was great and the Espresso Martini was delicious. On a positive note, the eggs cooked over medium were done perfectly – just the right amount of runniness! My sister ordered pizza, and it was fantastic; it had a great taste and was definitely a highlight of our meal. Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects to the meal, there is room for improvement in other areas. I hope to see these changes implemented in the future.

We stopped in for a quick bite and ordered a pizza to go for lunch. The restaurant has been beautifully redecorated, creating a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. Orlando, who greeted us, was exceptionally kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Most importantly, the food was excellent—the pizza was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend! We are going back to get brunch!

Pretty good pizza, great craft beer selection. I should also add that the lady that was bartending was wonderful.

The house salad was very good. Each pizza has six slices, more than enough for two people unless you're really, really hungry. The pizza toppings were excellent on the two pizzas we ordered, but the crust was chewy and tasted as if the dough had been sitting a long time before the pizza was baked. I love a good New York style pizza, but sadly, this wasn't it. Meh.

This restaurant is well decorated, with fake vines all around, and good furniture. The area is well conditioned with AC, and the food is great! The staff was also very kind and accommodating!

Their Boricua pizza is sooo tasty. We also had tostones con ropa vieja were soo good. Service was awesome as well.

Came here on a little weekend vacation. We stumbled upon this place. When we walked in (8pm on a Saturday) the place was nearly empty and we got a little nervous. Oh.my.god The food was so delicious!! Staff was nice and friendly, made a custom mocktail for my girlfriend. The croquetas were the best thing we have ever eaten.

Only reason a have it a 4 out of 5 it's because of the types of tables provided. It's more of a lounge place but makes it difficult to eat the food that way. Other than that? This is one of the most romantic places I have ever been. The staff? Crazily kind and hospitable and great in service. Very knowledgeable with any questions regarding their menu in drinks or food. They can do certain accommodations as well wt the menu. My favorite was the Thai Ceviche. I could eat like 8 dishes of that. And the drinks? Never seen anything more creative, delicious or beautiful. The drink Salitre was the most beautifully served imo but all of them are perfectly served.

Cool place with excellent service! Food was great! Loved the cup of stir fried garbanzos! Their drinks were exotic and tasty with wild presentations! Would definitely recommend. Although we ate outside, I would return because their interiors look trendy

If you go during the day, bars and many of the reastraunts are closed. There will be a market open with many fruits and vegetables. In the evening, every bar is pumping out music, and the tables are being used at most restaurants. You will find bands playing outside or karaoke. The real party doesn't even start until around 10 pm.

Amazing fresh and ripe fruits! They were SO GOOD and SO CHEAP! They’ll cut the fruits for you! The farmers market closes at 5pm but will turn into a fun night life around 8pm!

Great spot for fresh fruits and vegetables—they even offer to cut up the fruit for you! We had been searching for roadside fruit stands throughout our trip but couldn’t find any. Glad we got to enjoy some sweet papayas and mangoes from here! Price was great and can pay with card or cash.

Although I wasn't able to experience La Placita during the day and enjoy the variety of fresh fruits typically available, I did have the opportunity to explore its vibrant nightlife. The area comes alive after dark, with numerous bars offering a range of music genres to suit diverse tastes. One of the highlights was watching people dance classic salsa in the streets—a lively and culturally rich display that added to the area's dynamic atmosphere. I loved it!

This rooftop bar offered a beautiful view—nothing over-the-top, but still a lovely and relaxing atmosphere. The drinks were well-crafted, and the appetizers we tried were absolutely delicious. I wish I could remember the names of the drinks and the appetizer, but hopefully the photos speak for themselves. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a nice spot to unwind with good food and drinks.

We got there exactly at 4pm. Food was great, servers were great. The (what I believe was the-) manager definitely *not* great. From the start she had an attitude. At the end of the dinner we kindly asked the server for the bill to be split by items and she came to the table, aggressively took the machine from the server’s hands, asked me what it was I wanted (with attitude) as if it were a problem, and I (a person that has been a server and I know how the machine works) know it’s not a problem to split a bill, even though it looked like it was to her. It’s a shame, because everything else was good, the servers did an amazing job and pleased our requests.

Met & spoke with chef Chris. She is very passionate about what she does. The fish tiradito is something to rave about. Best dish I have tried on the island. Will return! The atmosphere is such a vibe. Very relaxing.

Every little detail is perfection, from the superb, creative and unique cocktails to the atmosphere, view, and service, this place is a slice of heaven like no other. It’s the ideal place to let go of the day and feel connected to inner joy. You can enjoy killer alcohol free versions of their cocktails that will knock your socks off as well. The food is sublime and prepared perfectly.

Cool cocktail bar away from the clubbing scene. The historic building used to be a soda factory. We stopped in for one drink as we waited for a dinner table elsewhere... but wished we could have tried more. The La Piquiña was especially inventive, with a smokiness and texture from the dark chocolate garnish, and waves of flavor from the fat wash and plantain bitters. We also had the Not So Mai-Tai that had a beautifully crafted amaretto foam pairing with a tart (but not overly so) pineapple.

Frankie was amazing! She greeted us immediately, told us all about the drinks and menu and recommended things based on what we told her we liked, and she was spot on. We asked her for recommendations for going out after and she helped us out with that too. She was incredible, we’ll be visiting her again. The food and drinks were great, and we loved the decor. 10/10.

We visited from NYC and have been to many bars, but this one is definitely a must-visit. The cocktails are incredible—you can tell they make each drink with real passion. If I’m ever in San Juan again, I’ll definitely be back! The chocolate bacon whiskey cocktail is a must-try. The bar itself is clean and spacious, and the overall vibe is just great. We loved it here!

They had my ocean view room waiting for me , with a bottle of champagne and strawberries in my champagne as soon as my foot touched the concrete staff rushed me with drinks and treat me like a king . Food was a pure 10/10 they had a massive restaurant outside and it was great food Tasted perfect I had fish Tocos super fresh and full of Flavor . Pool 10/10 Especially at night :) super blue lights light up in the pool with a massive lions head water fall . Beach 10/0 It’s located right in the back of the hotel , so the beach is on your location which means you barley have to walk from your hotel to the beach . Man it was white sand warm water clear as can be . I will be back there asap .

My best friend and I always stay at The Ritz Carlton at Isla Verde. The staff is so ready to accommodate you and treat you like royalty. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff is quick with any request you have. The pool staff are ready to bring you whatever you order quickly. I was very sad when Hurricane Maria destroyed the hotel totally and it took them some years before they rebuilt it to perfection. Although there is a pandemic still in progress, I'd love to make plans to visit Puerto Rico and stay at my favorite hotel once again.❤

The Ritz Carlton in carolina PR.. Is a very BEAUTIFUL hotel. Me and my family enjoyed our stay. The entire Staff was wonderful. They made you feel welcomed. I loved that the pool is open 24hrs. That made the end of the day relaxing. Because as we were out an about sight seeing all day, we had maybe an hour or 2 to be on the beach,as it closed at 8pm, and my husband an son felt like they needed more swim time so we went to the pool. I enjoyed the BEAUTY of the view of the hotel at night. I would and have already highly recommend this hotel. I hope to be able to stay here again some day.

One of my best vacations ever!!! Every single aspect of our experience there was outstanding. Our expectations were exceeded. The restaurants were also amazing. We went out into town several times and the staff at the hotel was great at recommending where to visit and eat. I highly recommend this property.

I Stayed In The Bungalows. It Was Nice For The Most Part But The Rooms Need More TLC. For The Price It Didn’t Totally Fit Up To Par. I Did Enjoy The Entire Resort Though. Very Beautiful. Delicious Food All Around ! The Staff In Caña Were Great! The Breakfast Potatoes Were AMAZING! Definitely Worth The Add On For The Breakfast Was Delicious Every Morning. The Bartender (Martin Or Michael i Believe) Was Such A Delight ! Great Drinks & Such A Fun Character All Around. The Pool Staff Was Definitely The Star Of The Trip ! Yadiel, Alondra & Michael Were Amazing ! They Took Amazing Care Of Us The Entire Time. Made Sure My Cup Stayed Full With Delicious Drinks. Such Great Conversations And Energy. Great pool bars. Martin at the Banyan Tree Grill was awesome. The best bartender by far on the island. No joke. So personable and attentive. And if you are a history nerd like I am, strike up a conversation with him about WWI or WWII. This guy knows his stuff. Speaks 5 languages fluently. Flawless service

Room needed work completed & cleaning better., dirty carpets upon arrive,, crumbs around entrance to carpeted area, bed, & lounging chair. Broken wooden door bases splintering off., light bulbs didn't work & were filthy dirty with dust. Dusty window shades when closing. You created a small dust storm, & no microwave in the room. Hallways always had trash in them & items a vacuum would've picked-uo of used. The beech & pool access & environment were great. Staff were friendly. Beach ordering service would have been nice. I saw it occur 1 time & had no idea where they cane from or how to contact them. Even just a drink person taking orders on the beach. Beach attendant might cary your towels & set up your umbrella & chairs or maybe not. 2 out of 5 times they assisted. All staff were polite, friendly & helpful when you engaged them. Price was ok for a 4 day Beach trip.

Fairmont is a special place. All employees are very courteous and customer oriented. Specifically Martin Rosario, pool side restaurant/bartender is amazing. He greets everyone, is so engaging and funny! He recommends food and drinks without looking at the menu. He remembers names and makes you feel like you want to come back. Excellent service! One of the best servers/bartenders I have experienced! Thank you!

Had a wonderful stay at Fairmont El San Juan Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with crisp bedsheets and all the amenities we needed. Found this place by a Google search of highly rated bars. It is an upscale cigar bar with an elevated cocktail menu. It was the middle of the afternoon, so it was kind of empty when I went, but they apparently have live jazz on Thursday nights. I would have enjoyed that. The drinks were delicious and well made. Nothing here is cheap, but this was a worthwhile indulgence for those who want to escape the casual masses. Be prepared to pay a minimum charge per person for drinks and cigars.

Comfortable and classy is the best way to describe this establishment. The bartender was welcoming and gave great recommendations kudos to him. The drinks were made to perfection and the ambiance was just right. If you’re in the area and like a great drink, check it out!

This bar is very nice. The service was on point and so were the cocktails. It is a cigar bar so as long as you can handle the smell of cigars I would recommend. My husband loves to smoke cigars so he drank some whisky and smoked a cigar while i sipped an espresso martini. Also the a/c is nice and cold!

The atmosphere was classic and their selection and knowledge was supreme. If you don't know anything about cigars don't worry about it. They will guide you and make suggestions depending on your taste and smoke time. Carlos the bartender knows what he is doing as well. Try both their signature drinks they go great with anything you'll smoke.

Had a valentine's day reservation and the place was very full. We waited outside for our table like 35 minutes despite having an 8 pm reservation booked and paid for. Despite the long wait time, the ambiance inside was beautiful and the music was great. Service was a little slow, but again, the place was packed. The valentine's menu was delicious, although the portions were pretty small, but I personally didn't mind that. Although we waited a long time to go into the establishment, the owner gave us complimentary drinks on the house and an additional dessert at the end of our meal. Overall pretty good, would come back again.

Beautiful spot in Calle Loiza. The food and drinks are delicious! My crew and I went there for brunch. Favorite foods around the table were the Matcha Waffle with Chicken Karaage, Bao Bao, and Yuka fries. I had the Yuka Furai (pictured). So sooo good! We stepped upon this place and what a surprise. A perfect experience. It was mellow at first, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the great drinks and exceptional tapas. As the night passed it got even better. The party atmosphere came alive. A beautiful crowd enjoying life with everything this place has to offer. Tiffany made the experience even more spectacular. We will return on our next visit to Puerto Rico; it’s a must do while there.

We had the absolute best time here. The place is so gorgeous and comfy but ornate at the same time. Each table feels intimate making it easy to catch up with your loved ones. The food was to die for. We had 7 people so we literally ordered at least one of everything and there was not a bite of food left on any plate. I loved the fried Bao Buns and the Croquettes were amazing. Each drink was made with love and care and I definitely enjoyed all of them. The Tea for 2 was incredible. Honestly I will recommend this place to anyone coming to San Juan. I will be back!

it was hard to get the servers attention during my entire duration, despite it being early in the night. I ordered the bow and well the filling was decently. Tasty crust tasted cheap and greasy certainly not worth its price. in the end for one drink one small dish and water I paid the same price as I would pay in a place in New York City and as someone who is from there did not understand how this came to be.

It definitely left a gap in the experience since it was one of their highlight dishes. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality Service was the biggest miss. Our assigned server was largely absent, and we often had to flag down other staff just to move the evening along — from ordering to refills to the check. For a place that carries such a refined and intimate atmosphere, the lack of attentiveness was noticeable and frustrating. 💡 Unique Selling Point The live piano and ambiance are truly standout — this is the kind of place you’d come to unwind and enjoy music in a classy setting.

The Canon Club in Old San Juan is one of our favorite intimate experiences we had in Puerto Rico. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and full of energy. The highlight was definitely the piano room with live music, beautiful performances, and a cozy, intimate setting that made the night feel really special. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours just soaking it all in. Our waiter was our favorite!!! She was so friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. It’s rare to have service that stands out this much, but she really went above and beyond to make sure our group had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were good as well. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and paired perfectly with the lively setting. We all got a variety of different things, and the flan at the end was sooooo yummy. A quick tip for anyone planning to visit: make a reservation for the piano room ahead of time. It fills up quickly depending on the day, and there’s a $10 per person charge for dining there, but it’s absolutely worth it.

Awesome experience. Reserved a spot on a Saturday night in the piano area an was able to watch and listen to the live music being performed while enjoying my fantastic dinner with my gf. YEP there’s a cool trio playing live music on a Saturday night 🎹🎼 but very tough to get seats in the small room unless u have reservations. So we sat at the bar and enjoyed the cool vibe/atmosphere. The Bartenders were cranking out cocktails 🍸🍹🍺. The lively place has lots of history to share so if u can get in, it’s worth a visit!

Outstanding Service & Amazing Food at The Cannon Club in Old San Juan I had an incredible dinner at The Cannon Club in the heart of historical Old San Juan. I ordered the lobster ravioli and toasted coconut shrimp and both were absolutely delicious! As a coffee lover, I also tried their coffee with coconut milk and I loved it. ☕️🥥 What truly made the experience unforgettable was our waitress, Yesenia. Her service was top-notch, friendly, and full of positive energy. My friends and I adored her attention to detail and warm personality. If you go, make sure to ask for Yesenia, she truly makes the difference and turns a great meal into an exceptional experience. Highly recommend! 🌟

The service and the environment was wonderful! The rooftop terrace had a chill ocean breeze and you could still listen to the live music playing downstairs through their speakers. The food menu is incredible! My friend got the NY Steak and I ordered the lobster ravioli. For starters we shared the ham croquetas and ceviche. Absolutely delicious! Would love to go back!

Excellent food and service. Our waitress,Maddi, did an excellent job! The garlic mushrooms were awesome. The cover charge wasn’t mentioned. We still would have done but it would have been nice to not be shocked on the bill.

Awesome, hipster dive bar with super cool aesthetics. This is a place that deserves to be recognized and funded by Puerto Rico. Keep this place going at all cost, it brings a culture like nowhere else I found during my time in San Juan. I would high recommend this spot for sure!

We made a reservation for the Playlist Chef’s Table experience and WOW—-it was amazing. We were seated at the bar and right from the first moment we felt like we were a part of the back of the house team! The food was amazing—watching the chefs prepare the food with such love and care was a sight to see! We also got the wine pairings with each course. All were amazing and the wine service was great, too. Highly recommend this dining experience!

Pio Pio is a very cute coursed hole in the wall restaurant in the middle of Old San Juan. The chef is a cute Irish gentleman with a terrific Puerto Rican inspired menu. Highly recommend the Con Coco cocktail, which is basically an old fashion with coconut flavoring. The meal started with a cream tart, lobster roll, and a crudo. I especially liked the creaminess of the lobster roll. Following that was a swordfish tortellini — I’ve not had a fish tortellini before and I was pleasantly surprised at the texture and flavor! Easily my favorite with at the restaurant. It was magical to see the staff make the tortellinis in front of us. We liked the lamb and dessert as well. But the real star after the tortellini was the Irish coffee with an ice cream sandwich. Beautifully sweet but not overpoweringly so. Great vibe and a family feeling amongst the staff, they definitely are passionate about what they do! Do note that the meal will get into the $300s for two, so if that’s not your cup of tea then be warned.

This is one of the top 5 meals of my life! Such an intimate setting, you get to talk to the chef’s and watch them create the amazing cuisines. I would highly recommend the tasting menu. On top of the food, had the best champagne and white wine I have ever had. As not a huge wine person I would have finished both bottles if I want so full from all the amazing food.

I ordered the tasting menu expecting individual servings, but what we received were shared plates for two people something that was never explained to us when ordering. While that lack of communication threw us off, I have to say the food itself was amazing. The pasta was absolutely delicious, and the lamb was incredibly tasty. Despite the confusion, I’m happy to give them a second try.

Pio Pio completely turned our night around after a disappointing experience at a restaurant nearby! The food was absolutely top notch. There were multiple times when we stopped to note that we had never tasted anything like the dishes we had at Pio Pio. The drinks were excellent too. The cocktail list was very unique and creative. Lots of interesting clarified cocktails. The drinks themselves were so good we ended up getting multiple rounds. We could tell that the owners and staff cared a lot about what they were doing, and this shined through our every experience there. Pio Pio made me want to move to San Juan permanently. 10/10, A+, 🔥

Walked in and got a table for two without a reservation. Ordered the Con Coco which was strong but delicious. Also ordered the lobsters rolls, eggplant which was surprisingly yummy and the pasta with meatballs. Staff was super friendly. Was a bit on the pricey side but worth it!

This was a really fun tasting experience - creative big swings that all landed with us. The wine paring was pretty good too, call it an A-. We're glad we did it even if it wasn't life changing. And I hope everyone gets to try the "Puerto Rican Moonshine" (Pitorro?) at the end - definitely a special finish! My only very minor critique is that they do the check via POS terminal brought to your table while they wait. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but it just feels a little fast casual for an otherwise higher end dining experience.

Above average service quality and decent food at regular prices. I’d go again. The ‘sancochito’ was not hot, it was lukewarm, however it had all the right flavors. Mofongo was bland and greasy, carne frita was cut too small and it was dry. Overall a decent eatery albeit the few mistakes. The mampostiao was very good. The ribeye was too thin for my taste.

We just went to Amadeus for the Valentine's dinner, it was a wonderful selection and we enjoyed the food and the music, as always a great service e, and the environment was very nice for the occasion. The menus were excellent the lobster and the beef Wellington were delicious. The dessert was a very nice delight!!!

Delicious food! Elegant but not stuffy, a very comfortable place to enjoy a meal. A varied menu of fresh takes on traditional PR dishes. The parking garage attached to the building makes it easy to access.

Really good menu cocktail, even better gimlet. Cochinita tacos were incredible. Service was fast and friendly, and most importantly, fun. Music was loud, as music with soul should be. I really have nothing negative at all to say about this place; a real bar with its own identity in a world plagued by Instagram fueled sameness and mediocrity.

Cocktails are high-quality and affordable. We had one each with each cocktail less than $15 and the bar only about half full. In fact, we wanted to order more drinks, but the blonde male bartender was too busy flirting with two women patrons at the bar counter. After waiting about 25 minutes (yes, we timed it), we decided to ditch ordering more drinks and instead ask for the check. Would go back if the bartender better balanced his time.

TERRIBLE i got pepper sprayed at this place BY THE SECURITY GUARDS because i felt a type of way that the male guards were using actual force to push me and other females out the way including my friend that is clearly in a boot and crutches and putting their hands on us this is the second night in a row they put their hands on females and my guy friend tried to help then two of them dragged him out and punched on him which was unnecessary

I like this place. Only being here for lunch 3 times this year. Nice, comfortable and cozy place. Lunch special is ok, not great but could be b/c of the hurricane situation. Today was too salty. Two yrs ago had no complaint on the taste. Maybe is a different chef. Now the coffee! The coffee was terrible. I don't know why is bad, twice have been watery or too much milk, looks like using powder milk or they don't take care on doing it. This time I had to skip the coffee, this could be a great place to get excellent coffee and relax.

Libros AC offers a unique pleasant home experience and their staff is very friendly and strong book fanatics. This small and elegant book store offers different coffee blends, unique small cooking cuisine with a variety of imported bottle beers and home made deserts. It's a great area for students or if your in the search to drink beer and relax with friends this is the place.

They have a piano, that's my favorite thing of this place and the books of course. Coffee is good too. They have food and something like a bar. Clean restrooms and a nice environment. Perfect spot to chill and look for awesome books.

From the host to the chef everyone was extremely warm, friendly, and clearly grateful for our patronage. El Vino Crudo is just amazing! I wish we could try the entire menu! Found this place online. Did not disappoint! When we arrived we were immediately drawn in by the unique ambiance of the bar. Got to try Fianl minutoll - orange wine for the first time. It was so delicious, perfect combo of sweet and dry. Tasted similar to white but with a different twist, being light and refreshing. We chose the focaccia appetizer which was delightful. Only critique we had is wishing there was an element of sweetness to the dip but the fluffy, flavor packed bread made up for this. Following this, was the gnocchi. It was the smoothest, richest, I’ve ever had. Like pillows that melt in your mouth. Possibly even better than ones I’ve had in Italy. Overall pleasant experience, would recommend trying while visiting and in great location of old San Juan, with lots to do nearby!!!

We ordered the clam entree, as well as a few small plates to start, and asked for a pairing. We were offered a selection of unique wines to pair and was delightfully fulfilled. Love. 10 out of 10. I absolutely will be returning ASAP!! Pricier than most places in OSJ from what I’ve gathered but was worth every penny and more.

This cute spot is tuck away down a hallway in Old San Juan. I went right when they opened, so I had the place all to myself. Really interesting tapas menu and some delicious natural wines. Huge open area with enough space to spread out and relax. Flower and plants everywhere and the decor was amazing. However it was during aloe season when I went and walked in around 8pm on Friday night and I was the only person in the whole space. I’ll definitely go back when it picks up in the busier season.

Coolest place in the area. Even better at night because there’s no heat. It’s like an open terrace with a garden. There’s a second floor that looks like a mini lounge and above that, there’s an open hallway where you can hang and have a view of the whole place. The dj music was great too. There are way cheaper places nearby but not with the same vibe.

After leaving La Placita last night I stumbled upon Botánico on my way back to my Airbnb. When I walked by I saw the crowd and decided to check it out due to the ambiance, and people watching opportunities ;) The doorman was super kind, and the facade of the building reminded me of the bougie bars in Venice Beach, California. Once inside we had three beers and a cocktail which was less than $20. Such great prices! Music was awesome, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would gladly come again. It’s probably one of the few spots that’s opened past 10:00pm. We left around 1:00am. Great time! Would definitely be back.

Our bartender, Marcos, demonstrated exceptional courtesy and went the extra mile to cater to my colleague's preferences. The beverages we sampled were of a delectable nature. I don’t usually go to Distrito but when I do, La Barrita del Lado is always a must. Went for a couple of drinks after a concert and our bartender Christian went above and beyond with his hospitality, even creating a drink (chocolate martini) for us. The tapas are to die for. I tried the dates with bacon. Amazing! When you come, ask for Christian Gonzalez and you’ll have the best time.

Waited 30 min for someone to take our drink order, no one even acknowledged us so we left.

Do yourself a favor and don’t order a drink from here. My drink was missing half of the ingredients it was supposed to have in it and when I asked why there wasn’t basil in it the bartender didn’t even know what basil was. He then googled it then showed the other bartender and they both said they didn’t have it. That would have been great to know when I order the drink. The bartender seemed clueless the entire time and both of our drinks were terrible and service was terrible.

I was pleasantly surprised with my rooftop experience, despite reviews. I had seen the negative reviews, but wanted to try it out for myself. I was able to sit on the rooftop terrace, with great views of the sunset, good food, good drinks, and good service. It’s not cheap, but I enjoyed the experience. This is the rooftop of the AC Marriott Hotel Condado. Went here for dinner the evening we arrived San Juan. The attitudes are awful and the ambiance is low mood. Had to ask for dining server at bar and the response was uninterested. The dining area Server lady was even worse. We left and loss a $65 voucher to eat there; life is too short to put up with these attitudes. Avoid it for dinner. Went two days later for our daily free breakfast; nicer attitudes but poor breakfast. We had breakfast elsewhere every day.

Coffee at 9pm topped with a mint garnish and roasted beans never tasted so good before. The difference is this one is spiked with flavors of vodka and a hint of awesomeness. No creamer needed in this coffee. Starbucks needs to learn to make these.

This place is beautifully decorated, with a charming ambiance by the pool that adds to its appeal. However, the food was underwhelming, very limited options available. The cocktails were just okay. Went for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It could do so much better.

The bartender was very kind and helpful but he was overworked and didn't have enough support. Good place for a quick drink if you're staying at the hotel.

Do not eat here. When you check in to the AC Marriott they give you a credit to restaurant to lure you in. It was awful. I ordered the seafood stew, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. It was $45. I wouldn’t have paid $10 for it if I had known. Tasted like everything in it was freezer burned and thawed and thrown in. 80% of what came on the charcuterie was second class at best ($35 price). Do not waste your time or money here. Our meal came to a whopping $166 not including tip. It was a huge waste. So disappointed. UPDATE - when i returned home, i have looked on my bank statement to see that I was charged $243 for this meal. The cost of the meal was $166, and I begrudgingly left a $30 tip for a total of $196. But my account was debited $243. I will attempt to call but who has time to do this? This place is HORRIBLE!
