Chocolate shop
Chocobar Cortés is a cocoa-focused cafe located in Old San Juan, offering a unique dining experience with chocolate-infused dishes for breakfast and brunch. The establishment is an extension of the fourth-generation chocolate-making operation, Chocolate Cortes, which has been producing locally and sustainably grown cacao varieties since 1929. The menu at Chocobar Cortés features a variety of sweet and savory dishes that incorporate chocolate into every bite.
This charming little spot in Old San Juan was absolutely adorable! The wall decor was fantastic, adding so much character to the place. The food was delicious, and the coffee was rich with chocolate notes—so flavorful. The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had—smooth, well-balanced, and memorable. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. You must stop by if you’re visiting Old San Juan!

This place was so cool! We sat at the bar and ordered the coconut frozen hot chocolate and the regular dark cocoa with cheddar cheese cube (on the side). Also got the little truffles in the case - these were delicious!! Unique experience while walking around Old San Juan. There is a door to the art gallery upstairs by the entrance, this was nice to check out afterwards. 10 out of 10!!
Nicole K — Google review
This place offers a great variety of food, and the service is excellent. Be sure to try the chocolate grilled cheese and the chocolate burger; they are both creative and fun dishes. The mocha coffee is superb, and brunch here is the best. The ambiance is pleasant, and the overall service was satisfactory.
Xavier R — Google review
This was such a unique experience. Who would have thought of a restaurant where everything is served with chocolate…even the burgers…of course the chocolate can be put on the side…. like the spicy chocolate that was served with the plantains. The restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious. However, the service needs help. Our server was Jonathan, and he was less than good. I cannot even say average as we waited a very long time for most of our drinks and food and the restaurant was not even full or busy…so this was a bit concerning. Now if he was new, I pray his service improves with time. Please check out pictures of food we had. The quesito was so delicious. Thanks.
Patti A — Google review
We were intrigued by the idea of having chocolate in all menu items. It somewhat delivered. Our party had Latin smash burger, French toast, and grilled cheese with bacon. The chocolate sauce for the French toast was yum! The service was horrendous. Perhaps the server was new. He bungled the order so the grilled cheese arrived way after the other food. He also charged for the iced Americano even though we canceled it because they could not make it decaf. It was a fun restaurant with good food. I hope they work on training the servers better.
Naziha H — Google review
Strong and Delicious! Everyone was super polite and helpful. Multiple people helped us with our family's orders (not everyone could decide what they wanted the 1st time we ordered) they explained our options and were very patient with everyone in our group. 5 Stars For Sure!! **That is More Appreciated Than They Know!!**
OldRangerNewDad V — Google review
Very interesting cuisine. A touch of chocolate in most of the dishes. Unique taste for chocolate lovers. Loved the art exhibit upstairs for a children's foundation.

Fellow travelers, when in Viejo San Juan, please visit Chocobar Cortés, the definitive Puerto Rican chocolate experience. This location is beautifully decorated with images from what seems to be past advertisement campaigns. They even have a wall covered with old metal chocolate moulds. Walk to the back of the seating area to find a display honoring the short stories that used to come packaged with the bars themselves, and a heartfelt letter from a longtime fan and consumer. During our visit, we ordered the following: - Don Ignacio (made with Barrilito 3-Star Rum) - Chocolate Old Fashioned (made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon) - Churros - Quesito Cortés Our favorite drink was the Don Ignacio, which to no surprise, acts as the flagship drink of the establishment. Both glasses were dipped in chocolate that hardened which just added to the beautiful presentation of the cocktail. The excelent service, inviting setting, and quality cocktails and products will certainly make you say: ¡Rico Chocolate Cortés!

Bistro
Brunch restaurant
Cafe
La Tortuga Bistro Bar is a local bakery located in Old San Juan, at the corner of San Sebastian street and San Jose. It offers accessible and inexpensive food, including Puerto Rico's popular baked-good, the quesito. The atmosphere is great with live acoustic music and a diverse crowd. Visitors have praised the delicious food, especially dishes like pork and rice, as well as the homemade bread. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making it a favorite bar for many in Old San Juan.
The food was very fresh and delicious. The waitress seemed to forget about me a few times I had to ask another waitress to find mine a couple of times for drinks and the check. But, they were all real nice. Good prices in my opinion for the quality and location.

decided to come here during the evening after a day of exploring Old San Juan. I had the Carne Fritas, and my date had the Asopao. Both dishes were wonderful, and I had their house Sangria which was lovely.

Honestly was our favorite place for food in veijo San Juan. Had to come back on our last day. Food is soooo good and flavorful. Had the mamposteao rice, chicharrones, turuleco sandwich and the beef steak sandwich. All were amazing.

Excellent!!! Service from the friendly bartender was so great. Food was AMAZING! hand crafted Cuban empanada was probably the best thing I’ve ever had in PR and been here a dozen times. 10 out of 10

We tried four local dishes. Overall, the food was good, but nothing extraordinary or special. It was tasty, but not exceptional. The service was great—everything was brought quickly, and the staff was attentive. The interior is decent, and there’s a wide selection of alcohol.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today while walking through the area. Hours reported by Google weren’t accurate and they were open. Had the pulled pork sliders, which were tasty. And my friend ordered the bacalao con viandas, which she enjoyed. Cute place.

Cafeteria
Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant
Cafetería Mallorca is a charming throwback to the 1950s, offering a cozy diner-style experience in San Juan. This spot is renowned for its signature dish, the Mallorca - a sweet and fluffy buttery egg bread sprinkled with powdered sugar. The café opens at 7:00 a.m., welcoming locals and visitors alike to savor this traditional Puerto Rican delight.
The place has a very casual and laid-back vibe. There’s nothing particularly unique about the atmosphere, and most of the staff are middle-aged, which gives it a homey feel. If you're looking to try a local breakfast in San Juan, this was definitely the best spot for us. I'll share photos of the menu below to give you an idea. We tried the mollarco, and it was very tasty. I had the plain one, and it was perfect with coffee — highly recommended! My husband had the cheese-filled version, which was also good, but we both preferred the plain one. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a simple and authentic local breakfast. Definitely worth a visit!
Tuğçe K — Google review
WOW! All I have to say. This place was all over my page online so I decided to give it a try. Everything was so fresh I was blown away. The bread was to die for highly recommend. One last thing to add our server was great.
Dave’s C — Google review
Don’t even have the words to describe this place. I have been thinking about my Mallorca with eggs and swiss ever since I walked out the door after paying. I immediately searched where I can get mallorcas in the city I live in once I’m back. Our waiter was the best part of this restaurant he was so edgy and hilarious but still kind and tended to our needs before we even asked. The pastries were incredible, the drinks were great, and the vibe was 10/10. It’s such a shame there are no local PR restaurants like this in my city, I’m craving my order again 😭
Nina H — Google review
Loved it, service is a little slower but it seems like an very older gentleman takes orders & serves the food by himself. Seating is limited and my advice is if you see an open table go ahead and seat yourself, even if the table is not cleaned, the older gentleman will clean it. It seems like he knows who has recently sat down. The food was delicious, my wife & I each got a ham, egg, & cheese mallorca and we both loved them. I also had French fries which were very fresh & hot (so hot I had to wait a little bit for them to cool down). My wife got a papaya shake which she couldn't stop telling me about how good it was and kept offering me some. I recommend this place but get there early because again Seating is limited. The price was very generous, for 2 ham, egg, & cheese mallorca, French fries, a papaya shake, a 12 oz sprite, 2 16 oz dasani bottle water and tax came to a little over $20 . The decor needs some work but the food is so delicious you barely notice, this is a very mom & pop establishment. If you're in Old San Juan or San Juan or heck in Puerto Rico I definitely suggest you go here.
Matbleek — Google review
Mallorca ham, egg, cheese was very tasty. The pork with rice and beans was a good value at 13.95. The service was slow but it is island time, take your time and enjoy. Practice your Spanish before coming, our waiter and person checking us out only spoke Spanish.
Sarah L — Google review
If you're looking to visit Cafeteria Mallorca, the key is to get their early. Seating is limited, and it can be tough to find a place. That said, it is worth planning and making it work. We arrived at around 8:30 AM and got one of few tables left for our family of four. A cruise ship had arrived that day and we watched a pretty steady stream of cruisers wander in from that point forward. Because of the busyness, service was a bit slow. Not really the fault of any of the servers, just the nature of place. But when the food arrived, there was little "happy dances" around our table as everyone tasted what we ordered. We kept it pretty basic by ordering two different sandwiches: Mallorca w/ ham and cheese & Mallorca w/bacon and cheese. They weren't much to look at, but they were some of the tastiest little things. So tasty, in fact, we attempted to remake them in our AirBnB for the next two mornings. An important thing to note - if you're looking for a place to hide from the heat, this won't be the place. Food was great, but it was a bit stuffy sitting there. You acclimate and it doesn't detract from the food, but it isn't the cold blast that you find in other places.
Adam F — Google review
Great food, quick service, fair price! Loved the Mallorca and fresh squeezed orange juice. Coffee was delicious and strong (made in a very cool old machine). Would love to go back for pastries! Get there early if you don’t want to wait
Abby W — Google review
This place was not worth the wait at all!! Definitely over hyped from tik tok. Staff was nice but this place was so cringe it looked almost abandoned inside. I’m scared to know what the kitchen looked like if the front was that falling apart. Food was ok and cheap and hope they remodel from all the extra customers.

Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Kasalta is a beloved bakery and diner located in Ocean Park, known for its diverse offerings beyond just pastries. The establishment has two sides; one serving Spanish-inspired dishes like tapas, paella, and hearty soups, while the other offers Cuban sandwiches, soups, pastries, and desserts. Visitors can also purchase Spanish staples such as olives, Manchego cheese, and Serrano ham.
This is a great spot for both savory foods, like sandwiches, and sweet foods, like pastries! There were two of us, so we were able to split up and wait in both lines at the same time which was useful for saving time. The lines didn’t move very quickly, but it wasn’t too bad of a wait. All of the food, sweet and savory, was delicious! The sandwich on Mallorca bread was unique, and I’m glad we tried it!
Zane M — Google review
This place is a great local spot. They have their operational procedures down. The food is spectacular, and the coffee is great too. I had the Cuban and an Americano. Their pastry case filled with sweets was tempting, too. The place was always filled with people coming and going but it never felt crowded. I would highly recommend coming in for a visit.
Shad B — Google review
This place looked charming, and with such a large menu, we walked in with high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the warm hospitality we’d experienced elsewhere on the island. The service felt a bit cold, and the food followed suit. I ordered the Mallorca with bacon and cheese, but it was overly dusted with powdered sugar, and the amount of cheese—about 10 slices—was just overwhelming. I also tried the bread pudding, hoping for a nostalgic taste from my childhood, but it fell flat and lacked the richness I remembered. It’s a beautiful spot with potential, but sadly, our experience didn’t match the promise.
Margarita S — Google review
Recommended this spot by a local and former President Obama came here. The restaurant is divided into two sections, a sandwich line and a bakery line. The Bistec was a bit bland and heavy with the steak imagine it like a Philly cheese steak style meat and shoestring fries stuffed inside. The Cuban sandwich was a bit better because it had sour pickles to help lift up the heaviness of the sandwich. Overall the sandwiches are okay, but nothing to rave about. The desserts were fun to try, the local signature is the guava pastelito which is like a sugar coated hard puff pastry filled with guava jam. They also have cakes, flans, and other baked goods as well as chocolate bon bons if that interested you. Good for a large group setting!
Goretti — Google review
I came here for brunch since it was recommended by staff in the nearby hotel where I was staying. For about $20, I had an omelette, pancakes, quesito, and water. The food was okay. I think it's more popular for pastries and other dessert.
Roland C — Google review
This place is highly overrated. I’ve tried two different pastries and they taste nothing like they should. The palmier (palmera) was thick, dry and dense. Not flaky and light like they are from a French bakery or any good bakery. The tiramisu tasted like pancake syrup. It was also thick dry and dense and I could only eat one bite it was so nasty.
Fatima A — Google review
It’s the overpriced for what you get. The tripleta sandwich was mid at best. The quesito was decent. The coffee just okay. The line was LOOOOOONG. The staff was friendly. There is parking, but I walked there.
Joely S — Google review
Kasalta is a piece of home away from home. The soup was both delicious and comforting. We also had the codito (macaroni) salad and a flan de queso and coco. Yum, yum, yum. Great service and clean atmosphere!!

Nice coffee spot right outside the walkway to Castillo San Felipe del Morro. Great local, medium bodied, coffee, with multiple options for hot and cold drinks. The pastries are delich and brunch is served all day. **EASY TO FIND** the location is inside the building...there should be four entrances, but when we can (Apr 2025) only two entrances on the east and west points of the building.

This coffee shop was a quick and easy stop before visiting the Fort. The food was fresh and delicious. The owner was very nice, stopped by to check on the food and make sure we were happy with the service. It is located inside of the plaza. The map takes you to the outside and you will have to walk around to find the entrance.

Decent coffee. I believe it’s single origin medium roasted in house . Service is okay. Nothing to rave about . The space and atmosphere was cool. Cool little spot in old San Juan . I tried the Irish coffee, the whipped cream was delicious. The iced coffee we had wasn’t anything special. No notes that stood out. Prices are decent. Nothing to rave about.

The drinks at Tequila Cantina are delicious and the bartender is super sweet. We came here after trying to go to La Casita Blanca . It was a 2 hour wait there . Mofongo here was great but don’t do Bicteca . The pork was little too salty. If you are a New Yorker (Nuevayol in the house ) go for the drinks and maybe pizza , the locals love their pizza here .

Restaurant
La Ceiba in Hato Rey, along with other popular spots like SOBAO by Cidrines in Condado and Kasalta in Ocean Park, is a must-visit for those craving hearty sandwiches such as the Cubano o Medianoche and decadent local pastries like quesitos. This bakery specializes in traditional Spanish and Creole dishes, importing ingredients from Spain to create mouthwatering appetizers, soups, and desserts.
La Ceiba is a great and authentic Spanish Bakery experience in Puerto Rico. Food is consistently great. I love their “Pan Gallego” and their fresh octopus. Quesitos (a Puertorrican must) are fantastic as well. Don’t come here on a rush if you are eating in. You will have plenty of time to connect and appreciate life.
Victor M — Google review
I was born and raised in Puerto Nuevo, just a stone's throw away from the legendary La Ceiba Bakery! It’s hard to believe that 10 years have zipped by since my last visit; I moved to Cancun, Mexico, 11 years ago. But guess what? I’m back in Puerto Rico, and I can't wait to dive into one of my all-time favorite treats—a Cuban sandwich! Let me tell you, I’ve been enjoying their bread for 60 years, and I’ve probably visited this bakery hundreds of times. And you won’t believe it—the Cuban sandwich tastes just as incredible as it did back in the '70s and '80s! Sure, prices have changed, but the meat is still juicy, the bread is as fresh as ever, and the sandwich is stacked high with mouthwatering goodness! The service was outstanding, and the place was spotless, even the bathrooms! So if you find yourself in Puerto Rico, do yourself a favor and swing by La Ceiba. Definitely order that Cuban sandwich, and make sure to grab some Pastelito de Guayaba. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

I drive 45 mins to get to la Ceiba. The quality and service are going down. Two weeks ago My family met there for breakfast. The following things were wrong The order was placed to go because the cashier decided that it was easier for them. My brother ordered three eggs. He was given two because the cashier did not want to charge him 4 bucks for an egg. I ordered a media noche. I was given bread and ham. No cheese no mustard no pickles, nothing. I went again today…. My media noche had 2 slices of cooked ham and a bunch of dry pernil. What an insult. Im used to the special ham. It was awful. The order was to go. No napkins no straws for the juice, nothing again. I payed 18.00 for a terrible meal. Something is wrong with La Ceiba. Please help the staff go back to the high quality establishment you once had.

The Cuban sandwich was exceptionally delicious, with a satisfying thickness, delightful flavors, and fresh ingredients, all complemented by perfectly toasted bread.

Very expensive for lower quality food and quantity 20 to 40 by person for a bother of water and a sandwich 4 slide of ham 1 egg and I slide of cheees and a small coffee without milk
Raymond V — Google review
A sub-par sandwich for a Puerto Rican panaderia! I had a coffee, a slice of carrot cake and a ham, egg and cheese sandwich with bacon and lettuce and tomato. The egg was non-existent. The bacon was too scant for the additional charge so they gave me a decent amount of processed ham. Just a sad experience for such a renowned establishment. They added insult to injury by charging me $27 and change. I'm almost certain that was my last visit.

this place used to be the best place to come and have breakfast, now the food sucks and the service is even worse, on average there are at least 4 females behind the counter but they're too busy talking to each other or are on the cellphone. I think this place forgot about serving the customers which is (no pun intended) the bread and butter on keeping the business open. Sorry but you guys lost a customer. Bye

Below Zero is a small ice cream shop in San Juan that is popular for its variety of ice cream and local details. The staff is friendly and quick, but the line can be long during peak tourist season.
My boyfriend and I came here twice in one day. First we got bubble tea that was amazing! Best Taro tea I’ve had and the tapioca was delicious. We then came back later to get rolled ice cream which looked and tasted amazing!! You get a lot of ice cream and toppings and they all blend together really well. The service was really great and everyone working was really nice and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

Loved this place! Got the Me. Oreo, super tasty, came with two Oreos and 2 Pocky sticks and 5 or so rolls of ice cream. Texture of the ice cream was good, I had never had rolled ice cream before so wasn’t sure- but am a fan! The place was pretty busy but only took about 10 minutes to get my ice cream after I ordered.

Cute little boba shop and the ice cream was delicious. They have real viet coffee there but needs to be a little stronger since the ice melts fast. Overall would come again

Small place. Very crowded even with COVID restrictions. They use pagers to notify if ready. Rolls of ice cream are barely noticeable if you do not see the process. I would still come again for variety of ice cream and local details. Also had to wait about 25 min - while staff appeared barely moving and talking to each other a lot.

Coffee shop
Café Regina is a contemporary coffee shop in Puerto Rico that offers a unique experience for coffee enthusiasts. The owner, Kali Solack, incorporates the rich flavors of Puerto Rican agriculture into their offerings, such as turmeric tea with fresh pineapple juice and locally made sourdough topped with fresh ricotta and star fruit jam. The café is known for its experimental coffee creations like Coffee with tonic and the popular Dark N Stormy, a cold-brewed coconut syrup and ginger beer concoction.
Charming, stylish, and seriously good coffee! We visited Café Regina in Santurce after a lovely recommendation from a shop owner across the street and we’re so glad we went! The place has a super stylish interior, with thoughtful design and a warm, creative atmosphere. We had two coffees: I went for a large oat milk cappuccino, and my friend tried “The Stormi”, a unique house creation. Both were absolutely delicious smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. If you’re a coffee lover, this place is a must! For food, we ordered the stuffed avocado toast. At $10 per portion, the dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing — but the serving size could be a bit bigger for the price. Still, quality-wise, it was totally worth it. Since it’s a popular and hip spot, there can be a short wait. But they’ve cleverly designed a side beach-style area where you can relax until a seat in the main space opens up. It’s a casual come-and-go vibe, so the wait time wasn’t too bad at all. We paid $35 total for two high-quality coffee drinks (including a signature mix) and two small dishes. Overall, Café Regina is a beautiful spot to start your day in Santurce highly recommended for coffee and good vibes!
Alessandra S — Google review
They are serious about their coffee at Cafe Regina. I asked for a pour over, and the bean that I asked for they no longer had, so the barista talked me through another option, and I could tell he cared about the coffee. I was delightfully met with a funky medium roast brew that was nuanced in flavor and almost tea like. My husband had a latte that was also wonderful. The place is quite crowded. There was consistently a line and rarely a table for those who wanted their drinks to stay. I can understand why it is so popular, but the small space and the high volume of people doesn’t make this a place where you want to stay awhile and read a book or journal or work. The space is bright and minimal with large windows and light woods and white. It feels like a trendy coffee shop in New York.
Shad B — Google review
This is a very cute cafe with nice lighting and plants. A good open space with delicious coffee and breakfast items. The toast portion is a little on small side, so it might not fill you up. The pricing is comparable to the other trendy cafes in the area, just expect touristy pricing because of the location.
Goretti — Google review
One of my new favorite cafes for a Sunday breakfast! Coffee is good, but the papaya bowl is out of this world!!!! I also love their pumpkin grilled cheese- absolutely amazing. However, it does get very busy, long line and limited seating. So be aware.

Cafe Regina is truly one of the coolest coffee experiences in San Juan! With a very hip vibe, the Cafe accurately represents the diversity of the City. It is lively and has a delicious selection of quality artisanal coffees, as well as a great menu. Most importantly, you will never have an iced cashew milk latte quite like this one! They make their own cashew milk and mix it with real maple syrup. That’s truly taking iced lattes to the NEXT LEVEL! ☕️👍🙏
John M — Google review
We were recommended this cafe by someone we met at El Tap. This is a lively place and has a bright atmosphere. The food is great and baristas are amazing. Look at this latte art!
Kimberly E — Google review
Cute place , the cashew creamer house special coffee is delicious, the BLT tasted like peanut butter ( maybe they didn’t clean something between servings). They scream your name when you food is ready but this is a very busy place, you can barely hear them. I’d rather get a text message to know when my food is done. They ask if you want avocado on your BLT, skip it, too messy .Also toast was burnt and I had a random piece of turkey in my sandwich.
Sarah L — Google review
Tried the cashew latte and their papaya bowl (out of granola). Paid about $16 including tip. Pretty underwhelming… very cute spot and nice service and employees are nice. Not sure if they had WiFi, but all outlets are covered, so it’s not the best place to try to do work.

When you walk in you smell sweet chocolate heaven. Okay, that sounds like I have a big back but who cares. The purple and the blue cookie were overly sweet, you’d damn near go into a diabetic coma. It’s good to try once but I couldn’t finish the whole cookie because it was over powering. The “out of the ordinary” cookies I had in this 7 pack or whatever weren’t to die for. And I truly love cookies, the purple one taste so over processed I could smell the fake sugar in it. However the traditional chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate peanut butter cookie were a major hit. Simple and to the point.

Let's talk about Cookie Plug. I was excited to try Cookie Plug, since where I live, there is a place called Crumble with the same concept. Cookie Plug is super eye-catching. An urban decoration, with a mix of HipHop culture and graffiti art. When you arrive, they have the display case full of fake samples so you can see what the cookie looks like, wanting to make you fall in love with the sight. We asked if there was milk, and yes, they did have milk, I was surprised. I bought 2 cookies, and they were good. With a good flavor, sweet but not too sweet. It is a good place if you are in the Condado area of San Juan. I am staying at a hotel in the area, and it was convenient to rent a scooter and get there. The only thing I would change would be the price. The cookie is big, but $10 for a single cookie, I think it is too much... But in the end, I'm just here on vacation...
Mgl B — Google review
The cookies were huge and pretty tasty though a bit dry. We got a deal which offered free cookies plus milk or lemonade. We opted for the lemonade which was served purple and double cupped! I loved it!
Megan A — Google review
The store branding was excellent and I wish they put as much effort into the cookies. The good: - crispy cookies that avoided being stale or too dry The bad: - the cookies are baked in molds that don’t let them expand properly and the outsides are compressed and dense - the cookies are baked a while ago and cold. For $5/cookies, they could at least warm them up - the macadamia cookie had white chocolate but very few nuts

A popping lil spot located in the heart of the Condado Beach area. Service was friendly, even during a huge rush. When I went they had 2 vegan ice cream flavors and a sorbet option. I opted for the Change the Whirl Colin Kaepernick (sp?) vegan flavor. The employee was knowledgeable and informed me that their waffle cones are not vegan, and she offered me vegan options. I chose the vegan friendly sugar cone. The ice cream was yummy and the cone was fresh. The space is a little small, but it’s jam packed with personality. There’s so much memorabilia and PR pride displayed on its walls. I’d go back when it’s less crowded to eat more yummy ice cream and check out its history. I would love to see more vegan flavors available in the future.

Oh my heavens it was piled with fruit that was so fresh they must have picked them from the plants just that morning! The orange juice was freshly squeezed with a slice of mango and orange that were equally delicious. The Cheesecake Factory is a popular American chain restaurant known for its extensive menu and generous portions, including their signature cheesecakes. Despite being a chain, it offers an enjoyable dining experience with delicious dishes like the chicken parmesan "pizza style" and delectable Tuxedo cheesecake. The restaurant in Hato Rey stands out as the largest one, boasting positive vibes, excellent service, and ample seating options both indoors and outdoors.
This is a great place to eat and mostly to have a delicious piece of cheesecake. The waiters and waitresses are always very attentive. The menu has a very interesting variety of dishes to choose from. The drinks are expensive, so don't be shy to ask for a glass of water. They even bring you a wedge of lemon with it. And also, don't be shy to keep on asking of that delicious free sourdough bread! Always fluffy and warm. Be sure to verify the bathroom before going in because of the number of people that get in. Sometimes, it can be dirty and smelly. It is a shame they don't have control over this. The place is always busy with many people, but they can handle it. I highly recommend it 💯

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The location is super convenient, right next to the mall's valet parking, which made arriving a breeze. Even though it was pretty full, our 15-minute wait flew by as we admired all the delicious cheesecakes on display. The food was fantastic, and their cocktail menu has an impressive selection of drinks. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant; while the background music was a little loud, it wasn't a major issue. A big plus was that our server spoke English, which really helped with ordering and any questions we had. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would definitely go again – especially to try more of those cheesecakes!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. It took about 20 minutes to get seated, but once we did, our server took care of us fairly quickly considering how busy it was. This was my third visit, and I can confidently say the place is worth it. The food is excellent, and the portions are huge, which is great, because you’ll almost always have leftovers. The complimentary bread is also a nice touch. We never seem to have room for dessert, but next time we’ll make sure to try it.

Hi everyone 👋 This past Tuesday my family and I went to The Cheesecake Factory and we truly enjoyed it!! We went to The Cheesecake Factory that's in Plaza Las Americas and it's actually the first time we dined inside of the restaurant since we usually take it to go. The inside of this restaurant is truly magnificent and regal looking. The menu is fascinating in the fact that there are sooo many delectable food items to choose from. We started with some appetizers which included the avocado tacos, really good, and the egg roll sampler that came with four dipping sauces. This egg roll sampler was awesome. For our main entrees, my daughter chose the falafel chicken and my son chose the crispy chicken sandwich which included fries. I chose the pineapple chicken and shrimp entree with white rice. All these entrees were really delicious. Last but not least, my kids chose, of course, cheesecakes for dessert. My daughter ordered the banana cream cheesecake and my son ordered the celebration cheesecake, both utterly divine. All I have to say is The Cheesecake Factory always offers delicious, homemade tasting food with a wide variety of entrees and appetizers in their menu. Much more like the Cheese Cake Factory I worked for back in the 90's. The large menu here is nothing like the CCF out my way. The place is well kept. Clean seating and a line out the door. Never had to look for our server or the bussers that do 1/2 the work. Food came up quickly and accurately. Lee like her spaghetti. My burger was cooked properly. I didn't care for the calamari. Consider making reservations online before showing up.

This place was the perfect atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the staff were super nice and professional. Our waitress Alonodra catered to our needs.

While on my trip to PR, we decided to try the Cheesecake Factory for the first time. The place is very busy and they call you by your name, if you're not present, they skip to the next person. The plates are generous and a bit pricey. We simply ordered an Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and a Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, without any drinks. It took quite some time for our food and by the time it arrived the plates were semi-cool and the chicken tasted like freezer. I felt uncomfortable but I asked them to remake it. They were very understanding and accommodating but unfortunately it ruins the experience.

Got food to go from here while on vacation. Good thing I did cuz the area is crazy busy and parking is super hard to find on a Sunday night. Like drive around 10 mins looking and then walk 10 mins to get to CCF hard. Food was great. Love me some Tex Mex egg rolls and peanut butter fudge cheesecake. La mujer got green enchiladas and a house salad and loved them both.

Zombie Coffee and Frozenyo are two great little stores in Old San Juan. The servers at Zombie Coffee are amazingly friendly and speak much better English than Spanish, which is a bonus if you don't know the language. They have delicious coffee, and their yogurt flavors are also very good. I highly recommend a visit to either of these stores if you're in the area!
After reading the name, we had to come in to get some coffee. The logo was also wacky being a single zombie eye. They have a large drink menu as seen in the photo, so it will fit anyones taste buds. My wife got a Cold Brew with milk and I got a simple Iced Mocha. Staff is friendly and they made our drinks in no time. They have ice cream [Zombie Froyo], but that part of the business was closed at the time.
Daniel G — Google review
What a nice surprise! I like supporting the smaller coffee shops and we came across this place when returning from the fort. Their drinks are amazing and very flavorful. I had the iced mocha coffee while my wife enjoyed her strawberry frappe. So much flavor and very smooth. Prices are very reasonable as well. Stop in and enjoy!
Ditch C — Google review
Too expensive and no quality. Staff is friendly and service is quick but it's not worth it. We spent $24 for an açai bowl that was not smooth at all and the toppings were poor. We also had a croissant w ham and cheese nothing special to it and coffee. Too many expensive. We were in a hurry and that what we found on the way but if you have time find a local cafeteria.
Mafer A — Google review
Fun shop. Tasty coffees. Neat looking seasonal drinks. The name and signage drew me in. Plus the need for something cold with caffeine in it. I had a pistachio iced coffee with white chocolate foam. It tasted great in the heat. Was a little expensive, something like $8 but worth it. Frozen goodies too. I’d go back if I was in town again. Easy to find, just a block up from the water.
Cap’n E — Google review
You would not see the price unless you look carefully, hidden on purpose, but here is a pic of it... It is a dollar per OUNCE of frozen yogurt, what a ripoff! No thanks.
Federico A — Google review
I actually live down the street from this place and I try to support local instead of tourists traps or Starbucks. There is no good bad or ugly here, its just bad and ugly. First, they open when they decide to show up. The prices are too high, but don't take my word for it, you'll see for yourself. Then they have some new chick with short hair, that acts as if you owe her your business and has no real customer service skills at all. Before she came along, the place was okay. Today was my last visit as my wife and I approached the counter and waited for her to put down her food and she just looked at us. No hi, hello, my help you, just stood there. So we turned around and walked out. I'd rather spend my money at Starbucks or anywhere else. I have an idea as to what her issue is with me as I've been in there when other people that look like her or her skin tone are visiting and she has some sort of customer service towards them and it's common on this island if you look like you have afro in your genes this happens, which is stupid as this is an afro Latino island. Like I said I try to buy local but this attitude she has can ruin it. If you want a better experience visit Kaffe Haus which is a few doors up. They welcome you as a customer and treat you like family. The price is better there too for what you get. If you need ice cream Cold Stone Creamery is across the street from the cruise ships. Acai bowls spot 2 blocks over. This place acts and prices the way they do because their location and they count on people not walking one extra block to buy the same thing with better service, I take it back I won't say they, it the short hair chick they brought on. She must have spent time in Florida, her attitude shows it.

I was there 2 weeks ago. The atmosphere felt welcoming. The employees were lovely. I didn't experience a service like this before. Anita La Mamma del Gelato is a delicious ice cream shop located in Old San Juan. The staff are incredibly friendly and let you try different flavors before picking one, while the decor is lovely and they are open until 12 PM which is great after dinner. The gelato itself was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Review of Anita Gelato, Puerto Rico Anita Gelato in San Juan is a true gem, combining indulgence with a beautiful, unique ambiance. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the stunning interior design that perfectly captures the essence of elegance. The deep green patina walls paired with the sophisticated gold accents create a refined atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. It’s the kind of space where you’ll want to linger, and the inviting vibe only adds to the experience. Of course, the real highlight here is the gelato. With an impressive array of flavors, each one is a work of art, both visually and in taste. The gelato presentation itself is stunning — each scoop is perfectly arranged, making it feel like you're enjoying a gourmet treat. As for the flavors, they're nothing short of amazing. I had the Salted Caramel and Biscuit Cheesecake, and I can’t recommend these enough. The Salted Caramel is rich with just the right amount of salty-sweet contrast, while the Biscuit Cheesecake brings a delightful creaminess with a touch of crumbled texture. Together, they’re an absolute flavor dream, complementing each other perfectly in every bite. The staff at Anita Gelato are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. One thing to note is that it’s a popular spot, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, especially during peak hours. But trust me, the wait is worth it for such a high-quality treat. In conclusion, Anita Gelato is a must-visit if you’re in San Juan. Whether you're there for the incredible gelato, the beautiful interior, or the warm service, it’s an experience that combines luxury with local charm. Highly recommend!
OLLAM S — Google review
Absolutely delicious gelato! The flavors are rich, creamy, and full of taste... you can really tell it's high quality. The shop itself is beautiful and very inviting, with a cozy and stylish vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy. I loved both the ice cream and the overall experience. Definitely a place I’d come back to again and again!!!!
EL_CABE — Google review
A very cute shop with lots of options for gelato! They allow tastings. I really enjoyed the mango because it wasn’t too sweet and you can tell it’s made from real fruit! The coffee was also very delicious with no added sugar. A great treat for a really hot day in old San Juan! The shop doesn’t have much seating so be okay with standing.
Goretti — Google review
Anita Gelato is honestly the best gelato I’ve ever had in my life. The flavors are rich, creamy, and full of flavor in every scoop. The pistachio was next level and so smooth. The only thing missing was the tres leches flavor of the month, but everything else made up for it. If you’re in San Juan, do yourself a favor and stop here.
Elle — Google review
From the reviews I was expecting this place to have the most amazing ice cream. I disagree. Two of us got gelato and it was good? But not amazing. Certain flavors definitely have more taste than others, and some just simply weren’t that good. The store was jam packed and we waited in a confusing line with no signage for the gelato. The line wrapped around five different ways. The staff was super friendly which was a plus. However, for how expensive it was, we were expecting our taste buds to be blown away. Overall, I’d say this one has the hype but not the taste nor flavor to back it up. Although the store itself was cute, we don’t foresee coming back.
Amber — Google review
I have always being the most dedicated ice cream lover. I would separare a monthly stipend only for the ice cream expense. Now to the main point, an amazing overall experience has vanquished at the remarkable gelato place. For me, by the retirement of one of their top flavors: SMORES. Anytime I would travel to do a two hour, 1 and a half hour, one hour line easily to take this amazing gelato home with me. Sometimes the gelato would be sold out at the time I got to order and of course it would devastating after a long line but I could always come back another day to get it. Now they have retired it, in the words of one of their employees. But why? I sincerely hope this decision could be reverted because I am convinced there is not a match of any flavors like the Anitas Smores.
Dinnell P — Google review
In the small streets of Old San Juan you will find this shop bustling with patrons from all over the world. The customer service here was really good! As an Ice Cream Expert that travels the country looking for good ice cream I can say the flavors were quite unique. Of course like always not all the flavors are for everyone, but they do have a lot to choose from. I am not personally a fan of Gelato. So I am always looking for someone to change my mind… I tried multiple flavors of course. The Limited Edition (their version of Biscoff) was a well balanced flavor. Also the Hazelnut Mousse & Chocolate Crunch was pretty good. I would recommend to get a cone if you order. Unfortunately, I did not and I grabbed a regular size cup. The issue with that is they over fill the cup and then give you a small tasting spoon to eat it with and it makes a complete mess. 😞 I was still not convinced about Gelato… Keep making smiles and serving well!

Himalaya Ice Co is a small, quaint little ice cream shop in Old San Juan. The service was quick and the ice cream rolls were delicious! They also have great coffee and minted ice cream.
Nice ice cream, expensive compared to other places for a cup, but it's a capital tourist location, so it's expected. But the rolls are good and nice small comfy place.

If I could give it 0 stars i would. We walked in looked at the menu. We weren't even greeted. The lady behind the counter was on the phone. I stood ready to order for a few minutes before she acknowledged me. My daughter fell off a chair (the back of it was broken) she didn't even ask if she was ok. My husband brought the chair to her & told her what happened she pushed it to the side and continued her call on the phone. The ice cream tasted expired. We tossed it out as we walked out.

Servings are big enough for two . Finally back 2023. Still a great hidden Gem in the heart of Old San Juan. Tried the steamberry ice cream rolls, you can taste the fresh strawberries acai and blueberries in the ice cream.

Cookies with different flavors, very delicious. The size is very big, one piece is enough for one person even if you are a big eater or a sweet lover. They give a small alcoholic shut of your choice with each cookie. I tried the piña colada with cookies cream. And the cookie has alcohol inside, I liked the piña colada the most. Nice place and good service 👍

My husband and I as well as my sister stopped by here during our port stop in San Juan. I can honestly say it was awesome! The cookies were perfectly cooked and not overdone and the guys working the front explained a couple things that we had questions about. I also got a cookie shot and it was definitely different but great! I would recommend this place to my friends and family if they decided to visit San Juan in the future!

Kudough's Donuts & Coffee Bar is a charming and cozy spot in Puerto Rico that offers an array of delicious donut flavors and refreshing spritzers. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing detailed explanations of the donut flavors and making excellent recommendations. In addition to their signature donuts, they also serve other breakfast items like fruit waffles with hazelnut drip and flavorful turkey clubs.
I loved the place since the minute I walked in. Very cozy place, great music, loved the decoration. Valeria was amazing to us, she explained every little detail about the donut's flavors, and did some good recommendations that I have to say, she nailed it. The manchego cheese and guava donut; wow, and the pistachio with Italian chocolate. Then she prepared these two refreshing spritzers (blueberry and strawberry). So delicious! If you want to try crazy and well balanced flavors this is the place for sure.

I was in PR for 4 days...this was my last stop before heading back to the airport. I had heard about the delicious and unique donuts here but honestly thought to myself....eh. another donut place..what could be so special?. Its special.....its darn special....ans I ended up getting on my flight with two boxes of the most amazing donuts I've ever had. I work in law enforcement...I've eaten ALOT of donuts. The traditional glazed comes with a chocolate coin on top and is scrumptious. There's a bacon Nutella donut that will change your life.....I need it. Fruity pebble donuts, brown sugar dusted.. they are all delicious. I'm sad I didn't explore this place early in my trip as I'd been going back over and over again. But whether your in PR for 3 days or 3 weeks make this a must stop on your journey. You won't be disappointed. TIP: Park in the supermarket shopping lot a half block away and save yourself a headache. Your welcome.

Another location for the awesome and refreshing paletas in old San Juan. We happened to be in the area and saw the sign so decided to have paletas again and we are so glad we did! There’s no line, the place is much bigger and it has great photo opportunities in every corner. Of course the paletas are just as tasty and the girl who assisted me was so nice. We’ll be back before it’s time to go home. I asked my son what he was looking to do in PR before we came and he said “to eat señor paleta!” This place is where your cold dreams come true😉😎
Lorena S — Google review
This is a seriously excellent experience, not just a paleta. I took these photos and video because I wanted to share with my entrepreneurship students. There are several flavors, then you can customize them, and they come with either a really cute box (if you added toppings) or with a great little box with the Senor Paleta brand, to catch any drips. All the flavors we tried (strawberry mojito, coco, dulce de leche, coco y pina) were excellent. This location in particular, much more so than the Old San Juan location, was super cute.
Hans R — Google review
Horrible service. Although the paletas were fine, the way the two young women working made us feel made us never want to come back. We were ready to order but they were talking amongst themselves. When I asked for assistance they acted like we were burdening them. Then when we were checking out, the didn’t put on toppings for one of our paletas, so they didn’t ring it up. When I asked them to add the toppings on the third and missing one, she told me we had to pay for it in cash, but all I had was a credit card. It was such an ordeal and left a bad taste in my mouth. Not worth coming back to deal with unpleasant staff.

This is a specialty ice cream store. It has rolled ice cream and various kinds of ice cream treats. Senor Paleta is on Ashford Street in San Juan, across from the La Concha Marriot Hotel and not far from downtown. There are several nice restaurants near this ice cream parlor. We enjoyed going to them for dinner during our recent vacation to San Juan and getting desert from this place. Highly recommended if your an ice cream fan.

Must try... Amazing "popsicles". So many flavor choices - from parcha to pistachio and everything in between. If in the area and you need a treat to cool off this is a great option. Sure Ben & Jerry's is down the street but this is local and so much better.

The coconut flavor with Argentina caramel is perfect! Must have it again.

This is a very unique and tasty popsicle store! The employees are very friendly and the store is well kept! The different options and flavors make for a flavorful and unique experience. They have a wide variety of popsicles and a good mixture of cold and warm toppings. Señor Paleta’s makes new grounds for intriguing and new popsicle stores!

Without question, this is the best popsicle I've ever had. I will absolutely be coming back here as soon as I can. I will tell stories of the day I first ate a salted caramel popcorn popsicle. So so so good.

Vanilla Bean Cupcakery is a hidden gem known for its delightful mini cupcakes topped with delicious meringue frosting. The variety of flavors and fillings they offer is truly spectacular, making it a must-visit for any cupcake enthusiast. Despite being slightly tricky to find, the effort to locate this bakery is absolutely worth it. In addition to their delectable cupcakes, they also serve top-notch hot chocolate and coffee.
Truly the best cupcakes I've ever had. They are mostly mini and tend to be topped with a delicious merengue frosting that's perfectly sweet and fluffy. Their variety of flavors and filling is spectacular. Evey time I visit I try a different cupcake and am never left dissapointed. Their location is a bit tricky to get to, as it is behind a building that hides the entry, but the trouble is 100% worth it.
Karol R — Google review
They had amazing cupcakes and cakes but the customer service is horrible. They don’t treat you well and they never pick up the phone. This place was amazing, I don’t know what happened.
Nathalie H — Google review
The best cupcakes and cakes. But their attitude is HORRIBLE. They open from 9am-2pm (5hrs) and they close down to take a “break”, don’t answer the phone, I asked if I could get notified when they are not on break, and the lady smirked at me… horrible service. I wish they would be better because their product is great !
Alberto C — Google review
We bought a cake for over 80$ yet they don’t provide a disposable cake knife or server. It was a mess when you’re not at home. The cake is amazing and delicious, but little things can ruin the day.
Amin S — Google review
Had trouble picking up a prepaid office order. Even though I showed them my ID to pick up the cake, a rude lady behind the counter wouldn’t give me the cake until I verified a phone number in their system. And here I thought that an official ID was the best evidence to verify a person’s identity! I can understand store policies, but her attitude was inappropriate for customer service. She could’ve called the number she had on file to verify instead of refusing to deliver the cake. We used to order here often. Never again. FYI the cupcakes are TINY. Single-bite cupcakes for $3 a pop plus the box. <enter eye roll here>
Monica S — Google review
Really expensive for what they offer you.
Leslie P — Google review
The store is a bit hard to find as they don't have any signage , just follow google and you will be OK. Customer service was great. The cupcakes are tiny. in addition they charge you for a box to transport them. For 4 cupcakes they ended up being $4.00 EACH ! I thought the cupcakes a little dry and not worth the cost.
Laura F — Google review
I called a week in advance twice. They sent me a text message to place an order, which I did. I received a text indicating someone will call. They never did. I tried calling and texting again, no answer. I left messages to confirm. When I went in person, they fumbled with excuses. I can’t review the product because the service was so pathetic. Stay away.

Starbene Caffe is a great place to get coffee and pastries. The coffee is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the space is a bit small, so it can get crowded at times.
Lots of employees but no one is cleaning tables. The coffee is excellent. The sandwich was small for the cost and the bread used was not the best for the pastrami. Otherwise the place looks great.

Decent spot if you’re just grabbing coffee or having a quick meeting. Not ideal for bringing your family for breakfast. The service was unfriendly, and the staff seemed unwilling to accommodate simple requests (Little to no cream cheese on a french toast). Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing.

Annoying continuous screaming of names for the orders. Missin vegan options like a veggie sandwich or so. Location and atmosphere are great. Please owners, consider improving these. Llamadas continuas a la gente a los gritos desaforados, horrible. Faltan opciones veganas.

Went for the gelato which was delicious! Nothing else seemed appetizing as it’s all thrown together in an open display case, exposed for however long. I’d look elsewhere for clean and fresh pastries.

Best breakfast I had in Puerto Rico. Their coffees are very well made and served beautifully. Their sandwiches are amazing. The fruit tart is not bad. Other sweets like croissant, pain au Chocolat and the cheesecakes were soggy and not fresh.

Great place to relax after you checkout from your airbnb, and before a flight! Comfy couches, outdoor/ indoor seating, huge variety of pastries, sandwiches, gelato, coffee at reasonable prices!

Amazing pastries!!!! Very European quality items and tasty tea and coffee as well. I recommend the guava quesito pastry and the lemon tart as well as anything chocolate! The sandwiches are also top tier.

Nice size, ample seating + amazing Delicacies. The coffee is delicious, prices are up to par with this upscale mall location The downside is that the bathrooms are located in another business next to the coffee shop. But that is just a minor inconvenience. There's also great outdoor seating with a sweet Puerto Rican Breeze in the air.

G'Delights is a highly recommended choice for wedding cakes, with their accommodating service and delicious cake flavors such as vanilla with dulce de leche, guava, and chocolate fillings. The desserts are not only visually appealing but also have an amazing taste. Additionally, the place offers a beautiful ambiance and convenient parking. Their selection of desserts is top-notch and pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee.
I had G'Delights design my wedding cake and they did a phenomenal job. Each layer was a different flavor and the guests loved it. I sent them a picture of the cake that I wanted and they designed it to look exactly like the photo. I highly recommend them.

If you are considering G'Delights for your wedding -- DO IT! They were an absolute pleasure to work with, even when I changed my mind about the design just a few days before the wedding. Not to mention, the cake was absolutely delicious and we had family and friends from both Puerto Rico and the states ask us about the cake and compliment how great it was. We went with vanilla cake with different filling for each tier which included, dulce de leche, guava and chocolate. The dulce de leche was our FAVORITE! We can't wait to go back and order some more desserts! Thank you again G'Delights!

Limbers de San Juan is a store selling frozen treats similar to slushies. There are many flavors to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. The store is located in the heart of Old San Juan, and it is a great place to stop for a cold treat on a hot day.
I don’t like limbers. It’s a plastic cup full of frozen, dyed sugar water. But this is the cutest. Go here. Ring the bell. Order your $1 limber. Have a bite. Enjoy the adorable abuelitas that serve them. When you eat them, don’t forget to put your teeth on the rim of the cup whilst you bite into the top with your upper teeth. This is how you eat them. No spoons aloud. If you forget to hook teeth the rim of the cup, your limber is in the ground after you’ve squeezed it out with your hands.
Marilyn B — Google review
RING THE BELL! I was hesitant at first, thought they were close but ring the bells string. Abuela comes right over. Coconut & Limon were good. $2/each Make sure to have your bottom jaw with teeth gripped to the outside cup so when you squeeze the cup your mouth can catch the treat before it pops out onto the floor.
Alexia — Google review
MUST GO on a hot day! The Limber Lady was so kind (and insisted we know they are not made of Ice, it’s 100% juice!). Only $2 each and takes a long time to finish. The coconut was INCREDIBLE and we liked the passionfruit too

Reda T — Google review
Between the best and tasty "limbers". My favorite is coconut. The name: "limber" came from last name of the american pilot and engineer Charles Lindberg, who arrived on a transatlantic travel in plane landed in Puerto Rico. Before "limber" it called "nieves". According with oral socials stories, when like it, and folk chache the name to "limber" (intentioned wrong pronounced) in honor to his last name. Price: around $2.00. Near Plaza de la Rogativa, a rest place to eat and enjoy beautiful bay view. Come and get it yours!! No regrets!

These ice creams are amazing, a regular size with waffle cone is enough for 2 to share. Freshly made in front of you. Small seating area inside with restrooms.

Zero stars if it were possible. Terrible experience. Store was unlocked 20min after the posted open time, which was inconvenient but not a big deal. After walking in it became obvious that any customer would be met with a hostile employee. She seemed genuinely upset that I was in the store and rude to the point where she seemed proud of making me feel unwelcome. I regret not canceling my order and wouldn’t frequent here again. Anyway, I doubt people going to a Cold Stone read reviews and won’t catch this until it’s too late. It was only after my experience that curiosity made me look up this location and saw that many other people experienced the same.
Michael H — Google review
Went here on a Sunday night (May 04,2025) we entered the shop since the light we’re still on and a couple are still there but out of respect we asked them if they’re still open and one staff member said yes so we proceed to order, the lady (didn’t saw her name tag so I don’t know her name) took my order but it seems thats she’s not in mood “no greetings” “no smile” and it seems she’s so problematic and stressed by just taking my order, I look at her and smiled at her but her face is POKERFACE!! I don’t think she enjoys her job! I even said thank you for my order but no response at all! When I was done paying my order she stared at me so I stared back and Im like whats her problem? Is she mad having a customer?? They said theyre still open thats why we ordered! We got 2 ice cream and one strawberry and banana smoothie I don’t think its hard to do our orders that night! So we stayed and sit for awhile to finish our ice cream and guess what! One of the team member I saw her tasting one of the ice cream using a spoon? And Im like? Are they suppose to do that? And then a few minutes they made theyre own cup too! Oh wow! Not sure if management allows them to do that esp. they still have customers in the store. And by the time we are heading out we saw them they’re on their phone in one corner, like they dont care at all. This branch lacks good customer service and team members are rude and snob!

Victor G — Google review
The manager is very unwelcoming and rude. We walked in and both girls were on their phones. Continued to be on their phones while we sat in line to order. Then, put their phones away and acted annoyed that we walked through the door. The manager could tell I was frustrated with how we were being treated. I tried getting her name but she covered her polo and stopped making my ice cream in the middle of the order to go put on her jacket in the back. You will not last long with this lady in charge.
Kolby B — Google review
Fast but not friendly service. Ice cream was delicious. The young lady making mine scooped too much and instead of adding it to my bowl she scraped it into the trash. That was the owner’s profit and her tip that she wasted.
Chris D — Google review
Ice cream is not too bad service was also good however the manager was very rude. After we gave our orders, she was like “is that all?” She served 2 spoons although we were 4 sitting at the table. Not again.
Bal G — Google review
This is literally the worst cold stone creamery I’ve ever been to. At 4 pm, the door was locked although the open sign was lit up and their hours are advertised on the door as open from 12-8pm. There was a family of 5 standing outside along with another family and my party of two. An employee of cold stone arrived with dominos pizzas and laughed at all of us that were standing in the rain waiting to get some ice cream on the hot, rainy day. Next a female employee walked out and lucked the door without uttering a word only to return 10 minutes later with more pizza after looking at us all standing outside. I said “excuse me, maam?” And was ignored until I asked in Spanish if they were open. She snapped “no” at me and said they’d open in 30 minutes. At that point, the store will have been closed for over an hour. I am more than disappointed and we feel very disrespected. Don’t waste your time here. Make the 10 minute walk instead to one of the other local ice creameries. You’ll get much better service. CLOSE THIS LOCATION DOWN. I waited all that time to support mi gente and this is the treatment we received. If this is how IM treated, how are they treating others every other day?!? Update: I went by to get their names and they were hiding in the back. There were customers in the lobby and no employees at the counter. Unbelievable. On 17 DEC 2024.

MÜ is a plant-based soft serve ice cream shop located in a trendy building with local shops. The ice cream flavors are delicious, and even non-vegans enjoy them. They offer monthly new options, ensuring there's always something exciting to try. The ice cream is described as creamy and smooth, offering a dreamy experience. Customers praise the exceptional service and friendly owner.
My favorite plant-based soft serve ice cream! The softest, creamiest soft serve to enjoy anytime. The are based on healthier ingredients. I love the quality of the ingredients and the variety of toppings they offer. They make their own toffee chocolate bark, chocolate brownies, and vanilla cake toppings fresh. They have cone and waffle cone options, in addition to cups and sundaes. The coconut caramel topping is very delicious and tastes just like caramel. They also have homemade dark chocolate sauce, maple peanut butter sauce, strawberry sauce, and hard chocolate, which are all very delicious too. Love the oat based vanilla flavor and they also have a coconut based chocolate flavor which tastes delicious. The creation of the month features a new creative sundae recipe that they have available and changes every month. I have tasted and enjoyed all of the creation of the month sundaes that they have created this year. The creativity, passion, and dedication that they put on every creation of the month and everything they offer can be felt. They have a signature sundaes menu with a varied offering of sundaes. Their botanical infusions menu are made fresh and are so balanced in flavors. They are delicious, nutritious, and oh so refreshing! A delight to the senses.

The girl worker was extremely kind, but the ice cream tastes awful. As somebody who enjoys organic foods, it may be a good, healthier choice, but it doesn't suit my taste or even my families taste whatsoever. Adding on, there should be more workers. The chocolate side wasn't working after we waited at least 15 minutes behind a family of 4. Was a good experience and there's a lovely interior, but I doubt I'll be coming again. Also, there is no parking for those wondering. (Brownie pieces were heavenly, I must say).

100% vegan soft serve located inside a bookstore/co-op. They have a menu of preset flavors or you can build your own. I like BYO. I got oatmilk vanilla soft serve with strawberry, caramel, and Biscoff cookie crumbles. It was good. It’s not the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had, nor is it the best in SJU (in my opinion, Vía Láctea es mejor and it’s down the street), but Mü is good and worth a try. So if you’re in the area, definitely go and check them out.

I am not Vegan but love eating dessert here. We tried the Mapache and the pumpkin spice option too. Both were to die for! I actually returned on a second occasion and they had a new option with cinnamon spiced apples which was even better. Each month they put together a new option and you can’t wrong with whatever you choose. To top it all off, the owners, Rodnnie and Frances are super friendly and welcoming. With creative combinations featuring traditional and local flavors, this shop is a must-visit for dessert lovers exploring the beautiful streets of Old San Juan.
Stopped in here while walking through el Viejo San Juan with my family. Cute little spot tucked away between other businesses. The gentleman at the counter was ever so pleasant. He told me I could sample any flavor I wanted, and they were some interesting flavors. Of course my son went with chocolate chip ice cream and sprinkles. There was a wine inspired ice cream flavor that I will get the next time I go. A hefty 2 scoops of ice cream and a couple of bottles of water we spent about $10. The ice cream was delicious, the music they played in store was great, and it was fun place to visit. They sell other drinks there also being it in an area that is surrounded by bars. They had vodka flavored ice creams as well as a cabernet ice cream with cheesecake. A very interesting variety indeed. I will definitely be making another trip once I go back.

(Translated by Google) I ordered a lemon and olive oil cake with passion fruit for my mom and I loved the service and the product. I asked him to make some adjustments to the frosting and without a problem he offered me an excellent option of a vanilla mousse instead of buttercream. I found the new spot for second-hand cakes for my family! I have also tried the desserts they offer every week such as corduroy flan and desserts with local fruits such as guava and passion fruit. I highly recommend it! (Original) Ordené un bizcocho de limón y aceite de oliva con parcha para mi mamá y me encantó el servicio y el producto. (Translated by Google) ✨ The most delicious wedding cake ever! ✨ Dunda exceeded all our expectations. From the first contact, they were professional, attentive, and creative. The design was exactly as we imagined (or better!), but the most impressive thing was the flavor... what a delight! Each layer was perfectly balanced, with soft textures and flavors that our guests still can't stop raving about. The love and dedication was evident in every detail. It wasn't just beautiful, it was a true culinary experience. Thank you, Dunda, for being part of our day and making it even more special with that unforgettable cake. 💕🎂 Highly recommended! (Translated by Google) Everything they make at Dunda is incredible, from cakes and desserts to ice cream and jellies. Everything is made with so much love, the flavors are exquisite and consistent, the ingredients are high-quality, and even the least sweet-toothed person will end up addicted. The Santiago cake and the chocolate and passion fruit cake are my favorites. The staff are absolutely sweet and some of the best in the Puerto Rican culinary scene. I had to set an alarm on my phone so I never forget when they're open, since they have very limited hours, but it's a good thing I can't go every day because that would be crazy. Highly recommended! ¡Altamente recomendado!

This cookie shop makes thick, jumbo cookies served warm. We have tried a bunch of them, and we like the ones with chocolate (chocolate chip, chocolate walnut) and the macadamia nut. They are soft and the chocolate pieces are melty. We have gone here twice in the last few weeks and it’s threatening to undo some of our diet, lol. The only catch is they are a bit pricy, but if you think of it as a dessert and the fact that each is large enough for at least two people, it’s not that crazy.

The Caramel Praline cookie is incredible. Rich, buttery, and full of flavor. The caramel is smooth and not too sweet, and the crushed pralines on top add a perfect nutty crunch. Soft in the center with just the right crisp on the edges. Definitely worth trying!

We’re visiting from out of town and never heard of this franchise but it looked too good to pass up. I’m glad we decided to check it out! Staff is friendly, service is fast and they have a special for 4 cookies for $15. We had self control and only got one cookie and it was the flavor of the month- double chocolate chip! It was delicious, chewy and the chocolate ganache on top is the perfect addition. Would definitely visit again!
Catherine L — Google review
A simple little cookie shop, but the cookies were fluffy and soft, almost cake-like in texture. They had a wide variety of flavors to choose from!

3.5 stars out of 5. the red velvet shake and the crème brûlée cookie left more to be desired but the flavor of the month, strawberry cheesecake, had me lose all self control and devour it in one sitting. the cookies are pretty big. #unashamed

Omg this place is a must visit and one. Their ice cream is amazing and they have these unique flavors that will surely bring a smile to your face. I tasted a variety and it was so hard to pick. I ended up buying multiple flavors by the pint to bring home and enjoy with my family. Yes of course they have coffee ones after all that’s what I like I’m a caffeinated human. The staff is friendly and helps with the understanding of the ice cream storyline. The decoration is inviting to sit with friends and relax while playing a board game or reading a book. There’s tables and chairs to sit and even a map to pin where you are visiting from really fun. I warn you better bring a nice cooler to store the ice cream you are taking home if you don’t you’ll regret it. Parking is not friendly is in the streets so minute you see a spot park and walk. It would be worth your walk trust me it was for me.

Visited this ice cream shop and Loved the flavors they gave us to try. We bought Pandan, Manchego and a ginger one they have. All were great, but Most of us loved Pandan the most. Cool and cozy. Clean bathroom. The only Con is that it only has one parking available for the shop and maybe if you can find nearby but its difficult. Good to order to go. You can park in front for a few minutes and order. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place.

I am a bit of an ice cream addict. store bought is ok, but we make it almost weekly at home from real ingredients and I don’t like as much the super sugary store stuff, I do enjoy a very cream shops but trust me when I say that I have never tasted such good ice cream. Some of the flavors I have never heard of and some sound weird but the combinations are pure heaven. Yes I am an ice cream snob with factory made store stuff but this shops own recipes are so worth the hassle of 1 car parking spot and a couple of dollars more on price. SO WORTH IT. T was amazing. I literally felt like I died and went to heaven and tasted tastes I had never tasted before. I had the Chinese five spice and the green one (an Asian spice) and oh my. So amazing. Try it- you won’t regret it if you have to fly from Europe to try it!

Small little store front right on a Main Street with easy parking!!! No sign so it is easy to miss if you are not looking… As an Ice Cream Expert that travels looking for great ice cream I can say this place is blowing things up!!! Wow! What fantastic flavors! They do not have a lot of flavors to choose from and only vanilla as a traditional flavor, but don’t come looking for traditional… The Chinese five spice was unbelievable! Not spicy at all but you could taste the 5 different spices. The Manchego (Sheep Cheese) was wonderful. It happens to be their top seller. They also have a Biscoff (Ginger based) that is amazing! I always like to try the waffle cone (it was great!). Very good portion served for the price you pay. So far the best size per price I have found in Puerto Rico… Luis Miguel was an amazing help and had a wonderful smile! If I could give these guys a larger star I would… 5 Stars ⭐️ PLUS! Make sure you stop by for a scoop or two! Keep serving smiles with America’s favorite! Great Job!

Good and creative flavors! I’ve enjoyed different flavors and they have always been delicious. My only main issue is the parking, they have incredible limited parking, only one legal parking spot to be exact. But besides that every good!

I got the strawberry Sando sandwich and it was very delicious better than I expected, my son also loved it and will definitely go back to buy some more. Also can’t wait to try other deserts. Very friendly service and cool place.

So I’ve been trying to get to the main store for months. Store has very little to offer not like a bakery seemed more like a place for people to buy anime stuff, which is fine, I just wished they didn’t describe themselves as a bakery. They didn’t have the jiggly desserts and when asked they said “oh you have to wait for it in social media to come” which is unrealistic and inconsistent, but ok. The desserts they had looked a little depressing, I’m guessing if you want to find anything you have to go earlier in the day. They have way better social media marketing than anything else. Staff was very nice, the people randomly screaming in the room full of pop figures was a bit scary. Overall, it’s more like a card den that sells some type of spin off of Japanese sweets than an actual Japanese bakery.

(Translated by Google) I bought 6 cupcakes, the presentation was excellent, very well done. The relative price. The taste; I tried the Red Velvet, Almond, Nutella, Carrot among others, all of them were tasty and very good grains, except the lemon one which was dry and hard, it didn't seem fresh to me. In general the size vs the price, they seemed very small to me. The price of each cup cake is from $5.00 each. The lady who attended was very friendly and helpful.
