The Royal Pavilion in Brighton is a unique and distinctive palace built for King George IV, featuring an Asian-style architecture that resembles the Taj Mahal. Constructed in three stages starting from 1787, this former royal residence boasts restored rooms such as the Banqueting Room, The Saloon, and The Great Kitchen. Surrounded by Pavilion Gardens, it has been well-maintained over the years and is a popular filming location for various movies.
So wonderfully over the top, I particularly enjoyed the Colour exhibition which offered a fascinating insight into the use and development of colour. Not my first visit, but there's always something new to see. Highly recommended. The gift shop is a mine of must have books and decorative items. I love the plate I bought.
Claire — Google review
Quite the amazing experience and not what I expected. We are not royal followers but loved this place. Indian style architecture on the exterior with much more east asian influenced art on the interior. Gorgeous interiors with so much detail, the opulence of it all astounded us and made us sad at the same time. Amazingly well restored to its original state. Even the behind the scenes like the kitchen were impressive. Spent about 45 minutes. National Art Pass had free admission included.
Cory S — Google review
My dear, one simply must experience the Royal Pavilion. It is, to put it mildly, a magnificent and rather scandalous confection of a building, a triumph of architectural audacity over good sense. One feels that King George IV, in a fit of sublime madness, decided to erect a palace that was less a home and more a spectacular, and slightly over-decorated, opium dream. To call it 'Indian' in style is to show a charming ignorance of geography. It is, rather, a whimsical and theatrical interpretation of the Orient, as imagined by a man with too much money and an insatiable desire for novelty. The onion domes and minarets are quite a spectacle, and one is inclined to applaud the sheer chutzpah of it all. Inside, the effect is even more pronounced. The Banqueting Room is a riot of dragons, lotuses, and gilded bamboo, a testament to the belief that more is always, in fact, more. One can almost see the Prince Regent, draped in silks, holding court amongst such exquisite vulgarity. It is a place of delightful excess, a monument to a time when taste was a matter of flamboyant display rather than dreary restraint. To visit is to be reminded that the truly interesting life is one lived in glorious and unashamed extravagance.
Matthias F — Google review
Please don’t miss this jewel in Brighton!!! Only palace in UK NOT PART OF THE crown! Worth every pence!!! Ornate Maximus! Indian style architecture with oriental decor inside… very varied history… friendly staff … The gem of Brighton!! Full of surprises! Main floor toilet could have been cleaner!
Alba G — Google review
This royal palace is well worth a visit! It's Eastern decor and interior bring it to life. Geometric wallpaper, patterned carpets and luxury bedrooms, you'll find them all! Can be slightly expensive but worth the money. Your visit will take between an hour and two depending how much you want to read.
Aidan B — Google review
The beautiful Royal Pavillion is well worth a visit. Luxury luxury luxury. King George certainly liked the spectacular. It is all very well presented and is stunning I particularly liked the kitchen - have a good look round to spot interesting fun items. It takes 2-3 hours but, unlike many stately homes/palaces, there are a few places where you can sit a while to take in the stunning architecture and decor. Great value for money. Thank you to everyone responsible for maintaining this magnificent piece of history in sunny Brighton.
Jackie R — Google review
First visit in many years and it all seemed 'new'. A museum guide gave an excellent commentary as we entered and later in the dining room. It's a grossly overdone interior and fascinating to learn about. Brilliant gift shop too.
Diane H — Google review
The Royal Pavilion in Brighton, built between 1787 and 1822, is one of England’s most extraordinary palaces. Originally a modest retreat for the Prince of Wales, it was transformed by architect John Nash into a dazzling Regency pleasure palace, blending Indian-style domes and minarets with lavish chinoiserie interiors. Its exotic design makes it feel more like something from the Far East than the English coast, and walking through its grand rooms gives a glimpse of the extravagance and tastes of George IV nearly 200 years ago. Entry for adults costs about £18, with reduced rates for children and family passes available. After exploring, visitors can enjoy refreshments at the Pavilion Gardens Café, known for its homemade cakes and outdoor seating, or stop by The Botanist Coffee Co. beside the Pavilion for drinks and light bites. The surrounding gardens also provide a perfect spot to sit with a coffee or picnic and take in the views of this remarkable building. Lovely day out ..

Brighton Palace Pier, which opened in 1899, is a historic and thrilling destination offering fairground rides, bars, restaurants, and stunning sea views. Visitors can enjoy street performers and ocean vistas before exploring popular eateries and bars inside the pier. The boardwalk offers opportunities for souvenir shopping while indulging in sweet treats. Families can delight in arcade games, midway attractions, sideshow entertainment, and exhilarating roller coasters.
The Brighton Palace Pier is the heart of Brighton’s seaside fun and one of the most visited attractions in the UK. Opened in 1899, the pier stretches out over 1,700 feet (about half a kilometre) into the sea and welcomes millions of visitors every year. It’s famous for its lively arcades, classic fairground rides, and spectacular views along the coast. Families especially love it here, with safe, family-friendly entertainment ranging from gentle carousels for young children to bigger rides like rollercoasters for thrill-seekers. Food is another big draw at the Palace Pier. You’ll find the best of British seaside classics—fish and chips, doughnuts, candyfloss, and ice cream—as well as bars and cafés for a more relaxed break. At night, the pier is beautifully lit up, creating a magical atmosphere that combines nostalgia with excitement. Clean, well-kept, and packed with entertainment, the Brighton Palace Pier is a must-visit for anyone coming to the beach, whether for family fun, a romantic walk, or simply soaking up the lively seaside vibe.
Nicholas M — Google review
Nice to walk around and enjoy the sea view, but the visit is quite short. The pier is mostly filled with attractions, arcade games, and lots of food stalls (churros, donuts, etc.), so not much else to really do. Still, it’s a beautiful spot and worth seeing for the view over the sea and the coastline.
Malika D — Google review
Brighton Beach is a lively seaside spot full of energy and charm. The pebble shore, colorful promenade, and iconic pier make it a fun place to relax, eat, and explore. It can get crowded in summer, but the atmosphere is always vibrant.
Kshitiz V — Google review
Always worth a visit. Especially with kids. Nothing amazing or groundbreaking but perfect for a couple of hours. Playing the 2pence machines is fun and cheap. The waterslide and some other fares, a 🍦 to round it off, what more do you want!
Max G — Google review
Brighton Pier is such an iconic place to visit. £2 entry to the pier. Lots to see, do, eat and experience. A trip back in time with rides, amusement games, soft serve ice creams, fish and chips, and lovely ocean views. You do need to purchase separate tickets for the rides. Go as an adult and feel like a kid again.
Nicola P — Google review
Such a fun spot to wander around! Seaside fun with arcades, rides, and all the snacks you could want. The views out over the water are beautiful, and there’s a lively, nostalgic atmosphere. Perfect for a stroll, a few cheeky snacks, and soaking up the coastal vibes.
SJ — Google review
Absolutely lovely place to visit. Great vibe, a lot of people during summer season, a lot of things to do for everyone, no matter of the age. Funfairs, bars, restaurants, souvenir shop and other nice places to visit. You can rent a chair for £5 or sub bed for £10 for the whole day, collector is walking around. Also, pls bring flip flops as it’s very hard to walk on stones.
Jelena — Google review
Brighton Palace Pier is the heart of the city’s seaside charm. A lovely place to stroll along the beach, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the views — even when the waves are a little wild. The pier is full of fun attractions and games, perfect for families, couples, or friends. At night, the lights create a magical atmosphere that makes it a must-see when visiting Brighton.

Brighton i360 is a futuristic glass pod with a cocktail bar that offers breathtaking views of the ocean and city. Families visiting Brighton can enjoy the seafront area, with its 4-mile-long beach, old-school pier rides, and SEA LIFE Brighton. The charming Queens Hotel provides family rooms right on the beach, while The Claremont in Hove offers a quieter option with generous guest rooms in a Victorian villa.
Worth booking ahead to save a little money. £20 each person. The i360 holds maximum 200 people. Views were fantastic. Best on a clear sunny day. Or evening sunset. Bar service was great. We enjoyed a glass of champagne as we travelled upwards to the highest spot.

This was pretty cool. It’s like an obelisk with a spaceship that goes up and down the obelisk. It’s right in the sea shore at the beach and you get a 360 degree view of Brighton. There’s a bar inside. A couple of boats put on a show for us by going in circles. Takes 20 minutes. About £18 for seniors. Recommend.
Alba G — Google review
Want to thank the wonderful, sparkly and all round fabulous Toyah for her warm welcome at the i360. Was inspired by her delicious looking iced coffee and ordered one! It was delicious btw! There’s a much more approachable feel to the cafe/bar area that I now like to pop to to have a beer or coffee which I probably wouldn’t have done before (!) Went on a sunny day and there was a lovely mellow Cafe Del Mar feel about it.. great music too. Love the seating on the beach too.. view is epic! The prices for residents to use the i360 are very reasonable (£5 I think?) so I’ll be dragging the fam down soon. Look forward to spending more time here! All the staff are excellent btw.. super friendly and well informed. Keep up the top work guys!
Bad C — Google review
Our visit to the Brighton i360 was, unfortunately, a bit disappointing. First, the weather didn’t help—it was very cloudy on the day, which meant the views were far less impressive than expected. We knew that was beyond their control, but the rest of the experience didn’t make up for it. The ride is advertised as lasting 30 minutes, but our tickets were for the 6:00–6:30 pm slot and we were back down by 6:20 pm—so just 20 minutes in total. It would have been nice if they had lingered longer at the top to make the most of the view. After the security check, we noticed a small bar in the waiting area, but there were no staff on hand to serve drinks. It felt like it was just there for show, which was disappointing. Considering the online price was £18.50 per person (and even more—£20.50—at the ticket counter), it felt expensive for what we got. Between the short ride, average views, and lack of service, it wasn’t great value for money.
Highway V — Google review
First time in brighton and decided to come here and had the best experience and we would really like to thank Patrick who was a member of staff on our journey he could not have been more helpful. Took pictures when we asked checked in on us then we asked about pens (I need a pen wherever I visit) he explained where then walked out with us and showed us exactly where they were. Him and all the other staff were very friendly chatty and genuinely seemed like they wanted to be there and enjoying there jobs. Thanks so much for a brilliant experience

Great experience, love go on attractions like this one which take you high up so you can see across wherever you are in this case Brighton. It was a very smooth ride, you could t feel any motion until you looked at the centre pole. I would highly recommend doing this.

My family and I, enjoyed our visit to the Brighton i360. The viewing tower offers breathtaking 360° views over the coastline, the city. Although the weather was not great, overall the experience was smooth and well organized, and the staff were friendly. Definetly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Great attraction for the city!

Located in the Royal Pavilion's gardens, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery offers a diverse range of exhibits including fine and decorative art, fashion, toys, and local history. The museum underwent a significant renovation in 2002 and houses an impressive collection such as a Kinemacolour Camera from 1910, George IV's breeches, Lewis Carroll's handmade toy toolbox, water puppets from Vietnam, and the Hove amber cup.
Absolute gem although I didn't have my kids with me the day I visited, I totally noticed and appreciated how interactive and kid friendly the museum was. Will definitely be back. It was a really lovely experience.
Cat C — Google review
Cute and quaint exhibitions! Very limited art selection of all the art galleries I have visited in the UK and £10.00 entry fee. Nice staff though and decent location.
Nichole M — Google review
A good place to go with potential to be better. What I loved about the Brighton museum is it's variety of historical and local lore which presented the opportunity to cover the very basics (such as the Egyptian exhibit). It was really great to see not only a diverse history of Brighton & Hove, but also that members of staff had the opportunity to express their own creative passions here which gave it's own merit of exploration. Although not to my personal taste, the current mod exhibition served it's purpose well. The passion and protest exhibit was also a great addition and I will be using the insights I have gained to form part of my practice development in the equality and diversity module of my formal apprenticeship. What was disappointing, was the amount of fashion displays. The mod exhibition followed by a Ben Sherman takeover had overtaken a significant amount of the museum. I think that if they had been spread out separately or combined into the backspace that the Mod exhibition was in it would have been enough. I do hope with the rotation of exhibits on offer come January we will see less of similarity and a more diverse range of exhibitions on offer.
Josh S — Google review
A superb local museum, we have visited before but on this occasion it was to visit the exhibition on Mod culture and clothing, which was really good.
Andy H — Google review
Wonderful place to visit. Superb exhibitions. Friendly, lovely staff. Thank you. Will come back.
Bobica R — Google review
A varied and thought-provoking little museum, we came here for the ‘Queer the Pier’ exhibition which was so considerately curated. I enjoyed reading about every single piece!
TFT — Google review
Located near the Royal Pavilion, in a building with beautiful, special architecture. Not very big, you need about an hour to visit it. It has several sections, but not very large. The most interesting seemed to me to be the one dedicated to ancient Egypt (although small), and the one with archaeological discoveries from the Brighton area. During my visit, they also exhibited a self-portrait of Rembrandt, borrowed from the National Gallery in London.
Paul C — Google review
Currently have small collection of fashions of the MOD 1960s-1970s era. Which was quite interesting. Free entry with Art Fund National Art Pass. Next to Brighton Pavilion, so can do both in one visit.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
When visiting Brighton, a trip to SEA LIFE Brighton is a must for families. As the world's oldest functioning aquarium, it boasts over 5,000 diverse species of sea creatures in various shapes, sizes, and colors. The aquarium offers family-friendly exhibits with play areas and group packages. Visitors can take a tour through an underwater tunnel to come face to face with sharks and stingrays while learning about these fascinating creatures.
I really enjoyed my visit to Sea Life Brighton. The aquarium is beautifully designed, with a fascinating variety of marine life to see. The ocean tunnel was especially impressive – walking through and watching the fish and turtles swim overhead was magical. It’s a great place for families and anyone interested in sea creatures. The only thing is that the visit felt a bit short, but overall it was a fun and memorable experience.
Kim K — Google review
I had a lovely time visiting Sea Life Brighton. The aquarium is thoughtfully laid out and has a wonderful mix of marine life to discover. The ocean tunnel was a real highlight, watching the fish and turtles glide above was a special experience.
Muge B — Google review
Booked for my partner and youngest (8) added the VR experience. They loved it. Couldn't stop raving about the experience. Sharks turtles all types of fish octopus.

Sea Life Brighton is such a beautiful experience. Captivated by its stunning marine displays and historic charm. The underwater tunnel and interactive exhibits make the visit both educational and mesmerizing. A perfect blend of conservation, beauty, and family friendly adventure!
Awe P — Google review
Brighton Sea Life is the world’s oldest aquarium, opened in 1872, and sits right by the beach. Inside, you can see thousands of sea creatures like sharks, turtles, rays, and seahorses. The building itself is special too, with beautiful Victorian-style architecture that makes it feel different from other aquariums. Visitors can walk through tunnels and watch fish and other animals swim all around them. One of the best parts is the glass-bottom boat ride, where you can look down and see sharks and fish below. There are also fun and educational zones that teach about the ocean and how to protect sea life. With colourful coral reefs, rainforest animals, and plenty of interactive displays, Brighton Sea Life is a great place for families and anyone who loves the ocean. We really enjoy sea life attractions , and Sea Life Brighton didnt disappoint

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SEA LIFE Brighton An amazing place to visit — beautifully maintained and full of fascinating marine life. The aquarium layout is perfect for families, especially with kids, and the underwater glass tunnel gives a stunning close-up view of sharks, turtles, and colorful fish. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to share interesting facts. Everything is well-organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Definitely worth the visit — both fun and educational. A must-see attraction in Brighton!
Azkrpxu T — Google review
A wonderful great experience and especially as it's the oldest aquarium in the world. I even have a jungle part but I didn't like the spiders 😱🕷️🕷️ Lots of different tropical fish and sharks and you can even see the sharks get fed at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. They have a VR experience where you can swim with a shark's. I wouldn't recommend buying tickets in advance at the tickets cost for same as if you buy them on the door. Thank you for having us 👍🏻😊
Richard — Google review
Overall I enjoyed my experience, however the aquarium was far smaller than I expected. There was an interesting array of animals and they all seemed well cared for. I think the price was a little steep for the size, but I don’t regret visiting.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum, established in 1991, is a remarkable attraction located beneath Brighton Railway Station. It houses an extensive collection of over 10,000 toys and models from various eras, including rare vintage model trains, soft toys by Steiff, Victorian dolls and dollhouses, die-cast vehicles by Dinky and Corgi, among others.
This place is nice although I expected to be larger than this . I went to Kyoto railway museum and same ticket price and belated . But Japanese government support them. Here volunteers are enthusiasts run it. So it’s nice for them to spend time . It’s a good trust attraction .
Ajith D — Google review
There was some time before we had to catch our train back from Brighton so this was a good way to pass the time. We didn't need more than 20-30mn without rushing. It's a good collection of all sorts of toys and models, but it's not the sort of place where there's a lot to read. There's very little to do or play with. I would say this is quite interesting and fun to see the amount of different toys, trains, models, dolls, Legos all gathered in this one place. But it's the sort of place I would go to once, but not come back to.
Katie — Google review
So many toys, so much that my parents couldn't afford, or refused to buy me ! Some great nostalgia here, worth the £8 admission. This place is a dream for model railway enthusiasts
Mick P — Google review
What a lovely hidden gem in the heart of Brighton. Very close to the train station, so if you have a spare 30 to 60 minutes, I recommend you visit. Adult £8, child £5 and under 4 free, family (2 adults and children) £17 so it will not break the back. The initial shop opens up to the museum packed with loads of nostalgia. 12000 toys and items to see from a wonderful working train sets to puppets, meccano, dinky, hornby, and many more, covering many eras. The passion put into preserving these gems of toys and models from the past should be supported as this is run by a charity and volunteers. Otherwise, they will be lost. Highly recommended.
Valerie D — Google review
This place is a paradise for anyone who collects hotwheels, legos, train models etc. they have a few working train models which is really cool. They even have a few 10p drop arcade stuff which are pretty cool to do. You can spend about 45 - 60 minutes in there just checking the different displays. You can buy tickets at the counter but I did feel the price didn’t entirely justify for what was in there. However, the child in me loved the displays and the time spent there. The person in the counter was really nice and did talk us through what was inside and did hand in an activity quest sheet for my kid to do while in there. Overall great experience.
Naithrav V — Google review
Wow,what a joy to discover, so much nostalgia from seeing the immaculate toys and models, how did so much survive in such good condition to watching the giant train layouts, every boys dream from a certain time.its a wonderful reminder of a much simpler time. We'll done,5 🌟
David P — Google review
If you’re interested in toys, models, legos etc it’s an amazing short visit. We stopped by because my husband adores these stuff, and spent more time than usual but you can easily look around in 20mins. Small but lovely. Staff was lovely and friendly, too.
Pelin A — Google review
Despite being tucked away under Brighton Station, this was a great find and well worth a visit, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and the Museum itself was a nostalgic wonderland of toys that both my boys enjoyed more than I thought they would. Interactive pieces also bought trains to life and there was an array of coin operated amusements that surprisingly only needed a 10p piece to work (which was probably the biggest surprise of all given the current trend of ripping off families once they are into an event/family venue). Highly recommended and can't wait to visit it again once the refurbishment is completed!

Brighton Fishing Museum is a volunteer-run museum that offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the fishing community in Brighton. Housed in former boat builders' sheds, this gem of an attraction showcases the town's fishing past through film, photos, and marine memorabilia. Visitors can explore the evolution of this 1000-year-old fishing community into a fashionable seaside resort. The museum features model boats and offers free admission, making it one of the best free things to do in Brighton.
Very informative place.. people can get understand about Brighton fishing culture and how it’s growing up.. overall good place. It’s free of charge entrance. But If you like you can donate some money.

The Fishing Museum and the small community around it, I believe is the heartbeat of the seafront. It's a fantastic place to visit. Explore the history of Brighton fishing. Sit down and people watch. Visit the various seafood and smoothie arches. It is honestly one of the greatest and undersold gems of Brighton and Hove. It's a beautiful gaggle of people and you'll always feel welcome in this little and unusual community! If I could give the museum and associated businesses more than five stars, I would. Get down there!

We had a lovely visit today and with it being voluntary donations it was something to do that we'd may not have thought of. I was with my 17 and 8 year old and they both enjoyed different aspects of the museum. It's not going to take long to get round but it's definitely worth a visit if you can. The gentleman on the desk was lovely and welcoming
Mumtominibeasts — Google review
Well, "museum" is too big a word for this... It's a small space where some boats and some things related to marine fishing are exhibited. In 10-15 minutes you saw everything. I don't think it's a goal in itself. If you pass by and have time, you can enter for a short time.
Paul C — Google review
Little walk way is fab so much shops all around. Place looked so cute, was closing up when I was close to it but overall the walk along the pier is just breathtaking lots to see and everything looks so well organised and perfectly placed
M L — Google review
The place has a free entrance or you can give a donation. Its nice to take a look at the history presented here, good for kids but also adults. Its a small museum but a nice one, with the look and feel of an old ship. We enjoyed.
Li S — Google review
A great space, to showcase your artwork right on Brightons seafront, there's been some amazing art on show over the years, it's always worth a look if you're passing as you never know what you could find next.
Rob A — Google review
The place is a horror show filled with the deeply arrogant people. Put a turn style on the entrance and charge £1 so you can cut out the extreme levels of rude people that wonder in like flotsam and jetsam on the shore. Other than that, it has some interesting historical tidbits.

Undercliff Walk is a popular three-mile walking and cycling path that connects Brighton Marina to the Brighton & Hove City boundary. This picturesque coastal route offers stunning views of the ocean and white cliffs, making it a quintessential activity in Brighton. The easy terrain makes it suitable for everyone, and it's also a great way to escape the crowds while enjoying the scenic beauty. Along the way, visitors may have the chance to spot seals and admire rock pools at low tide.
Such a beautiful walk with rock pools and old tracks of the daddy longlegs at low tide

Just lovely and quiet! Amazing views!!!

Walk beneath the cliffs from Brighton to Saltdean. The path is well built and easy to master, however nothing for stormy weather. I would recommend walking one way on the undercliff walk and the other way on top of the cliff, there is a path a little way back from the read. Alternatively one can take the bus for the way back.

This is a wonderful shared walk way and takes you all the way to Saltdean. Has stunning views out to sea and stunning cliffs to one side. A great place for a stroll or cycle. The other way takes you in to Brighton and it's many attractions.

We started the walk from Salt Dean and walked all the way back to Brighton Marina. This is a beautiful undercliff walk specially on a sunny weather like today. ☀️😎 Several public toilets in Brighton Marina and on the Undercliff at Ovingdean Gap, Rottingdean and Saltdean. A few cafes and restaurants in Brighton Marina and cafes on the Undercliff Walk at Ovingdean Gap, Rottingdean and Saltdean. Be careful as the pedestrian is shared by cyclist and dog walkers.

Brighton Dome is an elegant Regency building that serves as the south coast's premier multi-arts venue. It hosts over 600 events annually, including music, theatre, dance, comedy, literature, visual arts, and more. The magnificent grade listed building has been a prominent part of the community for over 200 years and has a rich history of transformations. Inside the art deco glamour of Brighton Dome offers a diverse range of shows from classical and contemporary music to modern dance and comedy performances.
Fantastic venue for concerts, and incredibly kind & caring staff! The staff made those queuing outside during the day feel so at ease. Staff can really make or break a concert so I’m really glad to say that they 100% made the concert & the lead up to it such a positive experience for everyone, which is exactly what you want in such an iconic and beautiful venue!
Hannah S — Google review
Attended a conference at Brighton Dome and was impressed by the venue itself, clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The space is thoughtfully laid out and ideal for events, with a professional atmosphere and helpful staff. However, the lunch provided was a letdown. It was serviceable, but lacked flavour and didn’t quite match the quality of the surroundings. Overall, a great venue with room for improvement on the catering front.

Amazing venue, such historic beauty, and a great theatre area too. Visited from out of town for UX Brighton and I'm glad I did. Thank you
Sally D — Google review
A beautiful venue. We were sat in row B of the circle and had a fantastic view. I think you could probably sit anywhere and have a great view as the theatre is circular. Plenty of toilets. Refreshments and a lift are also available. There is very limited on street parking but there is a NCP car park a short walk away.
Caroline — Google review
Fascinating building, the tyles and wood carving in the entrance, and the period styling of the auditorium. Good sound and great sight lines thanks to steep slope of the circle.
Swan — Google review
Our first visit to The Brighton Dome. A lovely building. There was good view of the stage from all seats, we were in the circle. The sound system was also very good. The only slight negative was the lack for places to get a drink in the interval as the mezzanine floor bar in our floor was closed so we had to go down 2 floors and joint many long queues for a drink. That said the Nina Conte show was excellent, we loved.
Alan B — Google review
Visited for a concert on 28th October (2025). Fabulous building, full of character and a great atmosphere. Only issue we had was with the sound - I have seen Suzanne Vega before (last year at another venue) and so could compare. Not sure if it was their set up or the Dome but the guitar back up sounded quite jarring and a little distorted e.g. overly loud in places. Nonetheless, Suzanne Vega and her support Act were superb and we enjoyed the venue and the show enormously. N.B we used the train, which is not too far from the venue as parking is currently very difficult due to a lot of road works - we advise you check if planning to drive in :)

Brighton West Pier, a 19th-century pleasure pier, was destroyed by fire in 2003 and now stands as atmospheric remnants on the Brighton seafront. The Grade-listed pier has been part of a major regeneration scheme for Regency Square and the seafront. A futuristic tower has been commissioned to raise funds for rebuilding the historic pier and boost the city's economy.
A hauntingly beautiful landmark. The remains of the West Pier are iconic—especially at sunset when the silhouette glows against the sea. Great spot for photos and quiet reflection. Not much to do here, but it’s a must-see if you're in Brighton.

Slowly collapsing broken down pier. It's nice to look at However a seagull flew and stole my hotdog around here five years ago. 9/10 nice view Just wish I could go there with boat
Cornal W — Google review
Absolutely stunning when the sun sets behind the pier and it is so much better than the floating tourist trap down the road. So very atmospheric and makes for very eye catching photos!
Lucien G — Google review
There’s something eerily magnetic about Brighton’s West Pier. It doesn’t welcome you with amusements or cafés—it confronts you with absence. A skeletal silhouette rising from the sea, it’s less a structure than a memory made visible. And yet, I find it strangely captivating. Once a masterpiece of Victorian engineering, today, it’s a ruin, charred by fire, battered by storms, and slowly reclaimed by the sea. But in its decay, it has become something more: a monument to impermanence. At sunset, the twisted ironwork glows like a cathedral of rust. Seagulls circle its broken spires. Waves crash through its ribs. It’s cinematic, poetic, almost mythic. You don’t just look at it, you feel it. It’s as if the pier is performing its final act, night after night, for anyone willing to watch. The West Pier doesn’t offer entertainment. It offers reflection. It reminds us that beauty isn’t always polished, and that ruins can be more evocative than restorations. For me, it’s one of Brighton’s most compelling landmarks, not in spite of its collapse, but because of it.
Aseem S — Google review
Arcades, games, rides, fried food … it’sa carnival… not for me… some things closed for season… entrance was free but seems to be only £2 in the season… nice view of the coast and the sea, lots of birds.

Brighton Beach, though covered in pebbles, is a popular spot for sunbathing and swimming during the English summer. The beachside promenade offers plenty to explore, making it an ideal place for a leisurely walk. Located on the west side of Brighton Palace Pier, this area boasts prominent attractions. A short one-hour train journey from London makes it a convenient escape for city dwellers seeking a day at the beach without traveling far.
Brighton Beach is one of my favourite places to spend time. The view of the sea is so wide and calming — just being there helps me relax and clear my mind. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful walk, sitting by the shore, or just enjoying the sound of the waves. The atmosphere is always nice, and it’s a great escape from the busy city. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the sea and peaceful vibes.
Ghalia S — Google review
The beach is a great place to sit and relax but wow, it's got so rough compared to a few years ago. This isn't a place I'd spend more than a day at. Lots of hen parties, drunks and quite a few homeless people. It was unnerving and I will not be visiting again in a hurry. Much quieter/safer in Hove.
Metal M — Google review
I really enjoy Brighton Beach and have visited multiple times. The beach itself is covered with pebbles, which I personally love. On this trip, I also had the chance to experience the Brighton i360, located right on the seafront. It’s a great spot if you want panoramic views from above. Unfortunately, the weather turned cloudy during our visit, so the views weren’t as clear as I had hoped. Still, I think I prefer pebble beaches over sandy ones, which is why Brighton remains one of my favourites.

If you’re Mediterranean you won’t call it a proper beach you know what I mean . Still the best beach in the U.K., not because of its beauty but because of its ambiance, the United Nations partying together . The Upside Down House in Brighton is a unique and quirky beachfront attraction that offers visitors a fun and unconventional experience. This upside-down house, with its fully furnished interior including an inverted jukebox and mountain bike, provides the perfect backdrop for some truly creative and gravity-defying photos. The house features all the standard rooms of a typical home, but everything is flipped upside down, from the wooden floors on the ceiling to the furniture hanging above.
Seriously good fun 😁 I was expecting an upside-down house but I wasn't expecting the crazy photo props and experience. The ladies working there were really helpful with taking photos and guiding things when you needed some help with how to position your body and camera to get the best shots. Massive value for money and laughs xx
Dominic H — Google review
Such a shame we didn’t get to go inside, but the outside is honestly just as much of an attraction! The bright turquoise beach-hut looks like it’s landed on its roof in the middle of the seafront, so even if you don’t go in, it makes for great photos. If you are on Brighton beach, just head towards the i360 and you’ll spot it on the other side.

A Brighton must-see — the kind of fun that flips your day! 🙃🏠 As someone who lives in Brighton, I’ve been to the Upside Down House so many times — and every visit is a new laugh! Whether you're going with friends, kids, or just in the mood to take fun, quirky pictures, it’s such a unique experience. The team is always super friendly, and the house itself? Full of surprises! You’ll leave with a camera roll full of upside-down madness and a big smile on your face. It's right on the seafront, so it's the perfect stop while exploring Brighton. If you haven’t visited yet — what are you waiting for? This is one of those experiences that makes you feel like a kid again.

It is also known for showcasing popular comedy shows in Brighton and regularly participating in events like the Brighton Fringe Festival and The Great Escape.
Best venue in Brighton in my personal opinion. Drag shows, comedy nights, cinema, club and private hire available this place has it all. Had both my birthday party and graduation celebration in their studio room for an amazing price. Every staff member is lovely and easy to work with. Thank you Komedia!
Hannah A — Google review
Went to watch the Jenny Tian comedy gig and most of the staff were really helpful, especially Roxy, who gave me a mini-tour a few hours beforehand so I could get my bearings. The only reason I’ve rated this as a 4 is that, despite being told where to queue by a few members of staff (including a manager), when it came to almost time to go in, their security said that we weren’t allowed to queue there, and we were told to wait back in the cafe. She said that they never let anyone queue in that area for gigs, so seems odd that so many people had said it was fine beforehand. I still got in first after waiting for a few hours, but it would be handy to be told the right information the first time around.
Kate J — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed every time I've been here, the only reason I've given 4 stars is because I feel they could benefit from doing drinks service to the tables due to the crowded layout. Other than that the staff are lovely and the acts super funny!
Monica C — Google review
I had never been to any Comedy Club anywhere before but this was a great experience. Tiny place (The Studio) seating a maximum of 40 people (?). Serving drinks and crisps etc but nothing more the night we went. We saw 2 very different comedians cutting their teeth in a friendly (mostly) atmosphere. Not much polish to their acts, but I will look out for their names because both could easily develop into budding stars. Very intimate setting, dark, slightly seedy looking venue but perfect for the purpose Loved it. Try it. Book though because I reckon this venue is pretty full most of the time. Enjoy
Jackie R — Google review
My first time here, what a fantastic venue. Love the place 2 gigs and a film all at the same time all managed seamlessly but the super friendly guy on the door.
Ian P — Google review
It was ok. The acts were funny so luckily the main reason I went was good. When there was no act on stage or my partner wanted to whisper something in my ear like if i wanted food or a drink, a security lady kept eyeballing us and shushing which made it seem like either a) had a problem or b) i had to sit in silence. Ordered food which never came as the server couldn't find the table we were on. But at least the acts were awesome.
Andrew P — Google review
Great venue with a few different places where you can see different things. The best of the house is the basement where the comedy shows happen and it's always a great fun. Service can be quite slow at the bar if too busy tho. Prices are a bit pushed up for the bar and food. Kitchen as restrictions times and most often you're not allowed to get snacks during the shows because kitchen is closed. Lifts are available for those with reduced mobility.
Ivo M — Google review
Breaks are NOT timed, staff told us the breaks are active until the bar is empty!! Comedy show was supposed to finish at 10.30 but walked out at the beginning of last act at 10.45 (she still had plenty left) Should saved best act until last. Was very cramped.

Sea Lanes Brighton is the UK's first outdoor swimming training center, located on Madeira Drive. It features a 50m outdoor pool and aims to revive competitive and recreational outdoor swimming in the city. Visitors can enjoy energizing splashes, paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply relax at the beach bar. The facility offers a welcoming community atmosphere with no judgment for swimmers of varying abilities. Changing rooms are well-equipped with storage lockers and hot/cold showers.
A very beautiful place to swim! The water is the perfect, very cool, temperature, and the view over the beach is absolutely unbeatable (especially if you catch the sunset). If you don’t like cold water I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you can get past (or enjoy) the discomfort, it’s a great place to swim. I would recommend buying a swimming cap before you go, they are mandatory and cost £6.50 if you buy one from them :p

Nice beautiful swim. Slightly cold water though. Clean changing room. Most suitable for warm days.

More than a swimming pool on the beach, which it definitely IS, but one that has a whole lot of other things in the same place as well. More reminiscent of a pop-up box park, this little beachfront leisure complex of assorted components is no doubt marketed as a complete destination venue package for the discerningly trendy. Beer? Yep. Coffee? Yep. Pizza? Yep. Take your pick, swimming isn't a requirement for use or entry or even access. Leisurely lounging about these interlocking wooden sustainable hipster sheds that will sell you stuff to fill your stomach and maybe your happiness meter. No guarantees on your soul but I imagine that's a job for the sunset on a summer evening, sharing the chilled vibes with the company of your choice. (meaning person or people obv...)

Lots to see… well lit…. Don’t miss the tunnel & feeding time! A proper café would be nice & maybe a better interactive area for the kids if possible. Savannah was great! She gave the talk about feeding time & knew everything without having to read the information. We were very impressed!

This place has really helped me in my goal to lose weight and feel better about myself. The pool is just warm enough you can swim in the winter with just trunks and a hat. You have to keep moving or you'll feel the chill, but that's helpful for motivation. The changing rooms are clean and well designed, and the staff are friendly and approachable. I tend to go twice a day, at 0630am and about 1900 so it's not too expensive per swim really. A great addition to a great city.
Paul H — Google review
I’ve visited twice - I’m a couple of hours away otherwise I’d be here all the time. Beautiful pool with lovely views, 19 degrees on both occasions I’ve visited which is warmer than I’m used to. Very clean surrounds and changing areas and staff are welcoming but unobtrusive. A few tips: Bring your own padlock and key for the lockers, or there are small wire cages outside in sight of the pool for small items. The changing areas are unisex with lockable individual cubicles. Very clean. Shoes should be removed at the door. All pool users must wear swim caps. I booked on the first occasion but not the second - was welcomed both times and there was plenty of room to swim. The pool is divided into several lanes (slow/medium/fast) according to swim speed. There are warm showers in the changing rooms and both warm and cold showers poolside. I asked the lifeguard if it was ok to take photographs. It is. As always I blur photos of other pool users outside my own family. There is a cafe next to the pool but unfortunately I didn’t have the time to try it.
Susan H — Google review
This is the most stunning swimming pool in England. There are slow, medium and fast swimming lanes. Bookings can be made for a 1 hour swim slot on the website. I paid £11 for a slot. The water is refreshing (not too cold). The change rooms are very clean. Bring your own padlock for the locker.
Jane B — Google review
I really liked the pool area and the water temperature. It was a nice swim experience too. Would love to come back. But around lunchtime it was busy, so I found that the changing facilities were not very clean, especially the toilets and showers. It would be great to have constant very regular cleans, so that everyone has the best experience especially when it is busy.

I’m convinced most of these reviews are from tourists, hence why they’re so high. This place is great for a good rummage for 40 minutes or so, but the employees and rude and condescending if you don’t fit their ideals. My partner is from the states, he can get nervous in social situations, so when he was so blatantly disrespected by the cashier I knew I had to come on here and say something. The tone that was used and the glares he got were awful, all because he had to put a PIN code in a second time.

A lovely shop but miserable rude staff. Only one person at the counter with a big queue so I didn’t want to interrupt, waited and asked for a key, older man huffed and scolded me saying I didn’t have to queue for a key. ‘For future reference’ apparently. As if I would want to return after being talked to like a child. Can understand that it’s busy and you’re fed up, but doesn’t mean you have to be so painstakingly unpleasant to someone wanting to support small businesses. It’s free to be kind.

Boxes of old photos that use to belong to people, hug bags of vintage hats, and accessories. Old school Cameras, Guitars, Furniture, clothes clothes clothes'! Trinkets, just so much! It's so much fun to look through and I hope to come back again! I'd recommend it to anybody who loves to snoop. Reopened on April 5th 2025. The world oldest electric rail from Victorian era and still operating. recommend to take the full length and get off at the last stop (takes only about 10 minutes) where there is a very nice cafe called Reading Room.

Riding the Volk’s Electric Railway was a fun experience, especially for the kids! It’s a charming and unique way to travel along the Brighton seafront, and the historic character of the train adds to the overall fun. At the end of the line, there isn’t much to see or do right at the station itself, if you do not want to go the beach itself. However, if you're up for a short walk—about 25 minutes—you can head to the other side of Brighton Marina. From there, you’ll get a beautiful view of the white chalk cliffs, and you can even walk along the cliffs for some stunning coastal scenery. All in all, it’s a great little adventure.

My partner and I both have health issues, so we decided to take this delightful little train from the pier to the other end and back again to save walking. The staff were all lovely and friendly, and explained all about the history of the railway and how it worked. The views of the beach are really nice and it is very cheap to ride, so well worth it,especially if you have kids.

The railway has certainly had more than just a lick of paint since I last rode on it. The volunteers are doing a brilliant job to restore and maintain the track and carriages. Black Rock Station looks like it needs some of the love and attention the other stations and workshop have obviously benefitted from. Wish I lived closer so I could join the team.
Richard W — Google review
The world's oldest operational railway and worth a visit. There's a great bar at the furthest station and another good one in the middle one overlooking the lido Both get busy though a return ticket to the end of line allows you to break your journey at the middle station.
Mick S — Google review
Volk’s electric railway is considered Brighton’s trademark and it is indeed a must visit attraction. The carriages are well maintained and the ride by the seaside is short but very enjoyable!

So cute, we ate at Reading Room and were too tired to walk back to the hotel with our little dog so took the train. We all loved it. Maybe not so enjoyable on a rainy day.

Museums
Nestled in Brighton, the Booth Museum of Natural History is a treasure trove of over half a million natural specimens and centuries-old data. The museum's permanent exhibition features lifelike displays of British birds, a killer whale skeleton, and dinosaur bones. Special exhibitions and tailored educational programs cater to visitors of all ages. Founded in 1874 by Edward Booth, the museum showcases his vast collection, including Victorian taxidermy and an impressive array of butterfly specimens.
Very good and deceptively large. It’s a relatively small collection but I could have easily spent all day in there because of how many specimens there are neatly packed together. The taxidermy and skeletons are all impressive and well put-together and everything felt very tidy and well up to date. There are plenty of spots to sit, including a cozy Victorian study. Definitely a must, especially if you’re interested in birds and taxidermy.
Adrian I — Google review
The museum was lively when my friend and I arrived! The animal displays were also varied to show the habitats of the birds, and some included prey. Not all of the animal names were visible in the glass cases portion, and there weren't additional placards providing information about each species, which I would've liked, but I may have also missed a QR code or something that led to an online guide. The back portion was no less fun, and the informational placards there had some humor! There was one about the rhinoceros skull with artificial horns that poked fun at their value-- since they weren't real, they couldn't be used in Chinese medicine or we'd be sick or sold at cocaine-level prices. Anyway, it's a quaint smaller museum in Brighton :) I liked it for an afternoon activity to spend a few hours in.

This was brilliant for our kids (3 & 5) - lots of simple things for them to get involved with. Would recommend to anyone to spend and hour or two here. Staff/volunteers made us feel very welcome. We could actually sit down and hang out here, which is so lovely

This is a FREE museum in Brighton. If you can make a donation, then it Will help with the costs of running the building. What an interesting place. Things for the adults to have a read up on, activities for the kids to get involved with. Loads of exhibits to have a look at, some really interesting. So glad we went.

We never get disappointed with this local museum. Kids love it! Great location as you have a playground and a nice family friendly caffe across the road. The collection here is very interesting and I’ve been coming here since I’ve moved to Brighton. There are chairs and tables, keep an eye for activities for the little ones. There’s place for buggies. Accessible toilet. It closes for lunch.

Lovely place with the beach bing mostly shingle but itruns adjacent to the centre of the town. It is extremly popular and the range of huts along the way is a very attractive idea and some of the structures are very novel indeed. I love the Beach Box Sauna and what it offers…not only the saunas, the beautiful salt rubs and clay masks but the space to totally unwind and relax with others. We hired the whole venue to accommodate large group of women for two hours and it was absolutely brilliant. The staff are great and the place was cleaned in between each session. The attention to detail as well just makes it even nicer. Thank you from all the foxy ladies running club members!

One of my favourite spots for a Sauna. And just treated myself to the block of 10 sessions ahead of the winter months. I have been to a number of events as well including the women events, Christmas Eve (which was magical) and a full moon. Theres something about connecting in a sauna. Treated friends, made new friends, had dates and been on solo trips. Just love it. Staff are lovely. Highly recommend.

I bought a voucher for a friend as a birthday present and yesterday we both went and spent two lovely hours in the 'Loyly' sauna. I had wondered how well it would work, being in a 'horse box' on a cloudy November afternoon but it turned out to be the perfect way to while away the day! The sauna is lovely and hot, but not too hot to be unbearable and the range of cold baths, showers and buckets are the perfect complement. Then, right at the end, we were all given a piece of orange and treated to a lovely lavendar ice bomb! I can't recommend this enough - makes a great gift. My friend was really pleased!
NoodlDoodlz — Google review
Amazing welcome, brilliant facilities, really well explained and lovely staff. It got a bit crowded in the cold pools and I gave up a couple of times. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is it would be perfect if it was closer to the shore and made easier for a dip in the sea. Other than that, it was amazing and a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning.

I was very much looking forward to attending the Fringe event I had booked for myself and 3 others last Saturday night and then had to unexpectedly go to the US for a week to spend time with my dying grandmother. I emailed the box office the day I was flying out to find out what could be done and was told by Emily that because I had given enough notice, they could exchange the monetary value of the tickets to another show. They would charge £1.50 a ticket to process this and it must be done over the phone or in person at one of their Box Offices. I assumed that since my email had given them enough notice, I could then exchange the tickets in person upon my return from the US a week later but when I emailed again while in the US a few days later, I was told I was too late as the exchange had to be processed the same day as my original email and Emily even acknowledged her email had been misleading! I explained my situation and that I had been rather preoccupied for obvious reasons, asking why my tickets couldn't be credited to be used on another show and was told that nothing could be done. I don't understand why I can't use the money for the original tickets on tickets for another show when they had plenty of time to sell my original tickets on!

Nice venue. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Few bars inside Don’t like the way you queue on the street and is isn’t roped or organised but we got inside quite quickly when the queue started to move. Lots of good seating all with a great view of the stage. Could do with a deep clean the seats were quite dirty. Security were good to remove people when needed throughout the pablo show.

Visited here to watch a live music event. Easy to find on the seafront but parking is an issue. A modern and roomy building with aircon throughout. A good sized bar with a decent range of drinks. The ground floor was the standing area and there was plenty of room... The 1st floor was the seated area, the seats are a bit cramped and leg room limited, but compared to some older venues I've been in, they weren't too bad.... The stage is large and was easy to see from the seated area and the acoustics were good. I would definitely attend another event held here.

Located in the basement of Brighton Town Hall, the Old Police Cells Museum offers a unique and intriguing experience. It provides a glimpse into Brighton's 200 years of policing and criminal history through its collection of memorabilia and tours of the former jail cells. Visitors can explore the stark and eerie cells, which were deemed unfit for use in 1929 but continued to be utilized for another 40 years, bearing witness to haunting graffiti left by incarcerated individuals.
We were lucky enough to be the only group on a Saturday morning, so our guide Peter tailored the tour to us, especially good for the children. We dressed up in police uniforms, did fingerprints, and learnt some interesting tidbits! Fun way to spend a rainy morning, thanks a lot Peter!

Had a tour led by a former officer who admitted that the museum was rather haphazaradly-curated but they had recently hired someone to remedy this. A very informative hour on the history of policing. Retained more knowledge listening to someone talk rather than going around reading the descriptions and articles.

Preston Manor is an elegant Georgian house located just outside Brighton, once belonging to the wealthy Stanford family. Preserved in Edwardian style, this 18th-century property offers a glimpse into the lives of Brighton's nobility over the past centuries. The manor features 20 rooms decorated in Edwardian fashion and a walled garden for visitors to explore.
Outstanding experience to get a very realistic overview of an edwardian manor. Great informations, social and historical elements are shared in every room. Very nice staff. The only regret is that opening hours are a little short : only end of the week and closed at 4 pm.
JC ( — Google review
I was pleased to be able to visit the manor now that it has reopened. It's not huge, but interesting to walk around all 3 levels, from bedrooms, to formal rooms and below stairs. Possibly not suitable for those with limited mobility as the stairs from the basement are quite steep and narrow. The tea room had an interesting and varied choice. Not many tables inside, but it was nice, so we sat outside. The walled garden is very pretty, too.
Alison M — Google review
BRIGHTON’S HIDDEN GEM EDWARDIAN TIME CAPSULE of Edwardian life is back open to the public and its the best it’s ever been. I’ve visited Preston Manor many times over the last 3 decades. I often went as a child as I lived locally but my school didn’t do their amazing school trips fondly remembered by many locals. The revamp has really enhanced the visitor experience. It now really has the feel As if the family and their staff have just got up and popped out for a bit, but will be back any minute. You really do feel like you’re in a movie or a time slip back to the graceful Edwardian days. Don’t be put off by the not very decorative exterior because it hides stunning rooms inside. There is a new audio tour that you access on your phone via a QR code. The actors on the audio to take the personalities of the former residents both above and below stairs and this makes it really fun but also informative for all ages. All of the rooms on display really do feel like a movie set and of course it is very famous for its ghosts too, even appearing on Most Haunted for a full length episode. A wonderful new addition is the café which is situated in the former formal dining room. It’s run by Rust Café And it’s been very busy during the recent reopening, but queues have moved fast and the cafe staff are very friendly And very quick to clear tables, so that tables are clean and ready for the next visitor. We had a coffee, hot chocolate, hot cross bun, vegetarian pastry and vegan red velvet cake. The cake slice was so huge I had to ask for a box to take the rest of it home because even though I have a sweet tooth, I couldn’t eat that all in one go! The café has tables inside, but the outside part is on the manor’s lawns and on a lovely day it is very nice to sit out there. The Mum staff are very friendly and it is clear they really love the manor and its former occupants including the ones that refuse to leave and haunt the place. You must visit the walled garden and it contains a little pet cemetery for the dogs and cats of the manor with their tombstones still visible. Just outside the wall garden are the famous Twin Elms one of which sadly got Dutch Elm disease not its returned to its place with gold leaf inside. Entrance to the walled garden and the café are free. Your ticket price at the Manor includes repeated free visit for the manor for that year. Local get a discount for the admission fee. Obviously, I’m a big fan of Preston Manor and so is my husband. We even held our wedding reception there in 2023 because we wanted a haunted house themed wedding and the museum did not disappoint! If you’re interested in small group private dining or a small group wedding reception do contact the events team at the Brighton and Hove Museums trust. No trip to Brighton would be complete without visiting this hidden gem. The café doesn’t open all days and is open at weekends and bank holidays but if it continues to be so popular this might hopefully change as the café is a great addition. I think some reviewers have unrealistic expectations of a brand-new branch of a local independent café trying to run out of historical building which has only just reopened to the public and is super busy. Anyone complaint on a queue clearly never been into a chain coffee shop in Brighton because the wait is a lot longer in a chain coffee shop than when it’s very busy at Preston Manor’s cafe. People around us seem to be enjoying their food and drink. Plates were certainly left empty. You can get to Preston Manor from the city Centre by a short bus ride. To make the most out of your trip out, I would also recommend it visiting the free entry Brighton Rock Garden opposite the manor Locals know it as either the Rockery or the ROOKery.) It’s also worth exploring the mediaeval church next to Preston Manor and the churchyard around it. If you’re really lucky you may even bump into a ghost of one of the former residents or their small dogs that are said to still scamper happily around the place.
Patcham R — Google review
I took my two boys here yesterday for a Victorian Cooking Club and we had a fantastic time. As workshops go it was well timed, nicely paced and had good content. The staff were all so friendly, fun and knowledgeable about the house. They gave the children a tour of the dining room and withdrawing room, linking the relevance of the cooking aspect back to the daily life of the owners and then took them down into the basement kitchens and talked to them about the daily life of the maids and servants. The children then got to make 3 traditional items that may have made up part of the daily menu; a spinach and cheese pastry filled with mushrooms nutmeg and spring onion, a bread and butter pudding with custard made from scratch and hot cross buns, and finished off with a raspberry lemonade, which was taken home in a glass jar. All the food was taken home to be eaten. I want to thank the staff for an enjoyable and educational day, and even the welcome we had at the door made us feel like they were all really happy to have us there.

Lovely experience, the audioguide on Connects adds a lot to it, it is narrated "by the inhabitants" of the house. The exhibition's are nicely interactive for the kids. The gardens are gorgeous. The staff was lovely and we enjoyed a lunch in the café in the building.

What a lovely morning we had at Preston Manor! We went as a mixed family party of children, parents and grandparents. Not only is the Manor beautifully kept and steeped in history but the staff were so kind and helpful, particularly with my father, who has Alzheimer's , going out of their way to make sure he felt comfortable at all times. Highlights were the ghostly mirror and, of course, the homely cafe which sold the most delicious food , including gluten-free and vegan options.

Alcotraz Brighton: Cell Block One-Three is an adventurous cocktail spot with a prison-style setting, where guests are required to wear orange jumpsuits and immerse themselves in a bootlegger theme. The experience involves bringing your own alcohol, which the mixologists then use to craft cocktails for you. This immersive and relatively expensive option is perfect for special occasions like birthday parties or hen dos.
This was absolutely unbelievable. The actors were incredible, so funny and believable. The guards were hilarious and the warden was quite scary. The cocktails were genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had, delicious cherry one and a passionfruit one, the kitchen staff were lovely, the drinks were very fast. Hidden gem of Brighton. Almost passed by then realised that there’s a lot of stuff under the chandler. I ended up wandering the hall and upstairs place for about an hour and found couple of things i was interested. Very reasonable prices for some amazing products. This place is full of a perfect mix of vintage, kooky and modern products. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to have a look in their many cabinets for amazing stuff. Highly recommended.

Cabinet 5 definitely has the wow factor with some amazing items available. Reasonably priced and well worth taking a look in. Plus the entire shop is like a treasure hunting experience. Love this flea market.

I have been to Brighton numerous times, but it was my first visit to this hidden gem in Kemptown. It is an Aladdin’s cave full of bric-à-brac, vintage books, prints, vinyls, clothing and furniture etc. Though it is not huge, you can spend a lot of time rummaging through the place. It is definitely worth visiting if you like vintage markets.
Rebecca L — Google review
Absolutely great place to go. The amount of Pokemon items are incredible. Definitely worth a look if you are into it. Plenty of cards, plushies and other items at a very fair price.

This flea market is special. It really feels like home. So much to choose from. Antiques, retro and new is the perfect combination. I like the new Pokémon cabinet that's been recently added really brings out the new era culture and always I love the retro toys and upstairs vintage clothing. This flea market is one to check out if your visiting Brighton or a local resident.

The Aladdin’s Cave of all Aladdin’s Caves. Remarkable place with lots of interesting things to buy. Totally unique and a great place to visit. Managed to snag a mint copy of Chris Rea’s Road to Hell album on vinyl for a decent price. Can’t wait to go back.

Super cute! It's similar to Snooper's Paradise but slightly smaller. I really loved all the items in there, some cute art and cool clothes too! It's got two floors so lots to explore. If you love Snooper's Paradise you should definitely visit this little gem!

Best place in Brighton for proper bargains and finds. Snoopers in the lanes is all about the tourists this is more geared to the locals. Don't miss the second floor which I think some people are not aware of particularly if you are looking for vintage label clothes....really good sportswear. Highly recommended.

The Royal Pavilion Gardens in Brighton are a picturesque spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch or take a relaxing stroll. The gardens often feature live music performances and cultural events, making it an inviting place for visitors. Surrounded by the stunning Indian-style architecture of the Royal Pavilion, designed by John Nash for King George IV, the gardens offer a tranquil setting for picnics and casual outings.
So far that’s the only garden or green space Brighton have in centre of city which is worth to visit, have a relaxing moments and enjoy the view. Such nice green space full of nature. A nice cafe is there. So have your picnic after long shopping, walk etc. Royal Pavilion view is such great from the garden.

The gardens surrounding the palace are gently maintained and wonderfully romantic! You'll find fragrant roses and blousy hydrangea alongside perennials and exotic shrubbery. It's a delightful stop if you're in town for holiday!

It's normally quite a nice space to hang out in right about until the summer holiday begins since hoards of language school children gather by the pavilion and often trash the place. I also saw a rat scuttle out of one of the bushes last week. Too much litter and too crowded during hot weather.

Whether you're with friends or on a date, Globalls provides an entertaining and magical experience that's sure to keep you engaged for hours.
This place was great! Me and my boyfriend went here as a part of his birthday weekend and he loved it more than I did! The setup of the different golf courses were so cool too. We completed the Aquatic and Zootopia games which were surprisingly much more difficult than we anticipated. When we visited, the Jurassic game (which we originally booked) was closed due to a leak- but we were contacted before arrival asking if we wanted to change it to a different game which was equally as amazing. The staff were really helpful and the props were awesome. Would be a great day out with kids as there’s food there too (and also nearby in case you want something different). We have ordered alcoholic drinks which was part of the date night deal they had which were delicious and fun! Would highly recommend going here whether it’s with friends, family, or as a date.
Lily C — Google review
If you have a spare hour or more get yourselves down, it’s very colourful and bright. We did Aquatica and Zootopia, part of a package where we got a locker for valuables, slushie drink each, glow stick glasses or in my case glow stick bracelets (I wear glasses, so a bit difficult to wear the glow stick ones as well). It was great afternoon.

Much better than I was expecting. Thought this would just be a kids attraction, but this challenging and interesting enough for adults. Really leans into the florescent UV vibrant colours. The course I did was well designed and nicely made. Pleasent surprise
Imogen W — Google review
My kids (15 & 8) had a great time in the aquatic room. Being locals and having visited the old location many times before, we felt we had seen it and done it. So we hadn't been for quite some time. I'm so glad we decided to try the new location!! The staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful! (SPOILER COMING) The new layout, DECORATIONS and different holes were loads of fun and my 8year old loved the slide and ball pit!! We will definitely be back to try the other rooms! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT IF IN BRIGHTON!!!
Tim T — Google review
Always fantastic, been many many times and it's great fun every time! Original, exiting courses (with a soft ball gun in the zootopia course) and a perfect idea for a day out, or a rainy day!
Ollie — Google review
Easy to make a booking, cheap, and had a lot of fun with my friend! It was really busy but we never had to wait long and we finished the course in about 45 min. If anything I wish it was a little longer, I've had to pay the same amount for a course that took us 1.5-2 hours to play through. But I understand that there are several courses. So it is really just a small critique. Ultimately, the atmosphere was nice and it was a good time.

Duke of York's Picturehouse in Brighton & Hove is a historic cinema that offers more than just movie screenings. It hosts film-related discussions, opera screenings, and festivals. This arthouse cinema is perfect for spending a rainy Sunday afternoon and is the longest-running cinema in the UK, soon celebrating its 105th birthday. The venue publishes a quarterly magazine called Picturehouse Recommends, featuring must-see films with detailed descriptions and reviews.
A visit to the Duke of York's cinema in Brighton is always a treat, and it truly stands out as a jewel among other picture houses. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by an atmosphere that blends historical charm with modern comfort! The staff are consistently welcoming and knowledgeable. They clearly love what they do! And it shows in their friendly and efficient service!!! Well done!!! Overall, the Duke of York's is more than just a cinema; it's a vibrant cultural hub in Brighton. The combination of exceptional staff, high-quality screens, and an inspiring film selection makes it a truly cherished institution and a must-visit for any film lover.
Cintia C — Google review
Wow! I am absolutely blown away. This is miles better than the Odeons and Cineworlds of this era. Despite being bought out by Cineworlds pet project, the cinema still feels very independent and it's so clean compared to the larger chains. The great part about this place is it hosts more rogue and independent cinema. I got to enjoy Sirat as part of a local film festival last night, which blew me away. The food and drink are also reasonably priced with a bundle deal inclusive of drink and popcorn. One thing people might have been wondering (which I was wondering from looking at the photos) is the size of the popcorn. No it's not those silly little beer popcorn bags, but in fact a proper box. You just have to go to the bar upstairs. I dare say this was probably a positive influence from daddy Picture House. Bravo, good points all round.

Lovely cinema, great coffee and brilliant staff… We organised the screening of our award-winning musical short film ‘Strolling Down Brighton Pier’ with the team at the Duke of York’s and everyone there went ‘above and beyond’ helping us to make our event a success. Special mentions to Emily and Charlie for their help on the day as well as Issey and Alex for sorting out the last minute test. A big THANK YOU to all the team!

Magical old cinema, showing some great films. Good membership deal, well worth being part of the "family". My one criticism / recommendation: need more emphasis on niche, less populist, World Cinema etc, less big-budget-blockbusters (for Hollywood films go to mainstream cinemas, that's what (all!) they show).

North Laine Brewhouse is a spacious bar in the heart of Brighton, embracing the counter-culture and community ethos of the city's colorful and independent quarter. The pub features industrial lamps and steel brewing tanks for crafting its own beer, continuing Brighton's brewing heritage. It hosts events like speed dating and quiz nights, offering a menu of delicious burgers topped with BBQ pulled beef and melted cheese.
We went into North Laine today for a lovely Sunday roast and a drink- one of us had the roast beef and I had the nut roast, both of which were amazing! The bartender Edy was really helpful in talking us through all the menu options and they were very accommodating for a vegetarian diet. The food came very quickly and was a really good sized portion. The star of the show was the roast potatoes but all of the food was amazing and we had a really great time. A special thank you to the lovely manager Hattie who was absolutely wonderful. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and good music. Thank you North Laine!

Booked this venue for a client retirement party and it was perfect for them. The staff were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The space is an open area at the back of the pub. We could have drawn curtains to make it more private but it was fine without doing so. They had put up signs for a private function and that was enough. Great choice of drinks too and we all enjoyed playing pool and catching up. The DJ even played some older banging tunes to reflect the age of the group!

Thank you so much to Sadie and the rest of the team for coordinating our booking. Having somebody to help with organising our party took a lot of the pressure off of planning and we had a fabulous time. I especially loved the interactive darts and the wines. Thanks team- we will definitely be back again!

For £20 you might as well give it a go. It’s not the most amazing experience but if the weathers nice and you’ve got an hour to spare (queue dependant) it’s a fun little activity. Must have proper shoes though, as my group mostly wore flip flops we all had to share the same pair of shoes.

Nice view . More bar than restaurant, actually. Food is more like burgers, sandwiches etc , no healthy food 😬 Drinks are good . Also , not a great service , because when u ask to clean table , they’ll take glasses from table , but will leave all the leftovers from previous customers . Nice place for drinks and sunsets , but not for quality food and service .

Great fun, professional staff, reasonably priced, just BEWARE they may change the minimum weight of rider if the wind speed changes, we got there after 1 hour 40 minute drive, only to find out my daughter couldn't ride because the minimum weight limit had increased from 30kg to 40kg (she's 37kg on their scales). Told we'd have to come back another day (tbf t's&c's does state this) Fortunately for us they took another wind speed reading from the tower, it had dropped and she could ride.

How much would you say this tiny pot of burger sauce is worth? @brightonzip think it’s very reasonable to charge £1.50 for this tiny burger sauce whereas most places would give it free. A pot of ketchup the same size was free to put this into perspective. I asked for some more bearing in mind we were sharing this. Apparently not. Overpriced food but nice view. Won’t be back for the food or customer service

Tonight my friend had a rough night and drank too much and the staff- Parker and I didn't catch their name but the staff member with short blue curtains- were incredibly helpful and kind and we didn't feel like a nuisance at all. Also super cheap drink deals and a good smoking area, and as far as I know the only club that serves food. Still had a good night looking after my friend. Impressive atmosphere and service

Went yesterday with my friends. Due to my medication I drank more than I should and ended up in the toilets. Someone called security and they took care of me. While I was told we had to leave, they were very patience and understanding, and explained it would best for my safety and wellbeing. Families can have fun at the pier's roller coasters while kids can safely play in the manageable waves with lifeguards on duty. It's recommended to wear beach shoes due to slippery pebbles.
Brighton Beach is a fantastic seaside destination that offers a perfect mix of relaxation and vibrant energy. Brighton, a charming coastal city located on the south coast of England, is a destination that captivates visitors with its unique blend of history, culture, and vibrant energy. I had the pleasure of exploring this seaside gem, and I'm excited to share my extensive review of Brighton. First and foremost, Brighton's most iconic feature is its stunning beach. The pebble beach, while different from the sandy shores found in many coastal towns, exudes a character all its own. It's the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, sunbathe on a warm day, or even brave a swim in the refreshing waters. The colorful beach huts lining the coast add to the picturesque setting and make for excellent photo opportunities. Moving beyond the beach, Brighton's historic pier is a must-visit attraction. The Brighton Palace Pier, with its myriad of amusements, arcade games, and traditional fish and chips vendors, offers a classic British seaside experience. It's especially enchanting when illuminated at night, casting a warm glow over the sea. The city's historic heart lies in The Lanes, a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets filled with quirky boutiques, antique shops, and cozy cafés. It's a paradise for shoppers and a great place to discover unique trinkets, jewelry, and vintage finds. The area is also known for its street art and graffiti, which adds a distinct urban flavor to the surroundings. Brighton has a rich cultural scene, with numerous museums and galleries to explore. The Royal Pavilion, an opulent former royal palace, is a prime example of the city's architectural splendor. Its Indo-Saracenic design, complete with minarets and intricate details, transports visitors to a different era. For art enthusiasts, the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery houses an impressive collection of art and historical artifacts, and the Brighton Dome regularly hosts a diverse array of cultural events, from concerts to comedy shows. Foodies will be delighted by Brighton's culinary offerings. The city is known for its diverse and vibrant food scene, with a multitude of restaurants, cafes, and street food vendors serving up delicious fare. Whether you're craving traditional British dishes, international cuisine, or vegetarian and vegan options, Brighton has something for every palate. The nightlife in Brighton is second to none. The city's numerous bars, clubs, and music venues come alive after dark. The North Laine area is a hotspot for nightlife, offering an eclectic mix of live music, trendy cocktail bars, and nightclubs that cater to a wide range of tastes. Brighton's welcoming and open-minded atmosphere has also made it a hub for the LGBTQ+ community, with a vibrant LGBTQ+ scene, especially along the famous Kemptown seafront. Transport to and around Brighton is convenient, with direct train connections from London making it an easy day trip or weekend getaway. Once in the city, getting around is straightforward with buses and taxis readily available. In conclusion, Brighton is a city of contrasts. It seamlessly blends the charm of its historic past with the vibrant spirit of modernity. The beach, the cultural attractions, the shopping, and the nightlife all come together to create an unforgettable experience. It's a place that welcomes diversity and encourages individuality, making it a destination that truly has something for everyone. Whether you're seeking a relaxing seaside escape or an exciting urban adventure, Brighton has it all, and I can't recommend it enough for your next vacation.

The iconic Lanes are always worth a visit when in Brighton. Riddle and Finns was a lucky find, an excellent seafood restaurant. There are a lot of jewellery shops as well as eateries. Worth a visit, just to get lost in the maze of laneways. Highly recommended.
Claire — Google review
The Lanes are a myriad twisting complex of traffic free pedestrian streets, packed with independent shops, corporate chain shops, pubs, restaurants, art galleries, eateries, coffee shops, overpriced jewelry shops...fun to wander and indulge if you have funds to do so. There are fun some quirky vendors in the mix to make this enjoyable for the average tourists. The old Victorian architecture mixed with the modern street art make it even more delightful. Treat yourself, a little retail therapy is always fun.

Finding Vintage and pre-loved jewellery shops is heaven in the town of Brighton. In between, you can visit the fudge shop or have a drink in many bars around THE LANES.

Apart from some city parks I find this the only place worth visiting in Brighton. It’s an historical area of Brighton with narrow streets and many special shops, coffee places and pubs. There are busses that can take you there. From the waterfront you can walk there. No tickets needed, just go.

National Trust - Devil's Dyke is a stunning V-shaped valley located about six miles from Brighton, England. It was a popular tourist spot in the early 20th century due to its mysterious formation and remains of historical structures like an Iron Age fort and Victorian railway line. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is part of the South Downs, offering picturesque walking trails with breathtaking views.
Great spot for a wee hike and ramble. Impressive views and very helpful staff at the National Trust cabin. Tried to come here before but it was mist bound. This time there was excellent weather and views.

We visited here in early January and it was beautiful in the snow. The views along the walk were lovely. We went for a walk and stopped to have fun in the snow throwing snowballs. The only downside was there was not a huge amount of parking especially with the pub being there too. However, it was extremely picturesque and definitely worth visiting if you like walking with a wonderful view.

Good view. Enjoyed walking around viewing nature If you're planning to walk down the downs I would recommend wearing climbing shoes. Because I saw a man fall on his back. 8/10 would go again. Beautiful view And a nice walk

An absolutely beautiful, iconic treasure of Brighton- a must visit for all ages. Walking through the Dyke itself isn't too strenuous and is a really peaceful, grounding experience. I love walking through with my son or on my own- it's great for kids who enjoy nature as insects, wildflowers and birds are abundant. If you aren't able or in the mood to traverse the steep hill, there are large flat walking areas as well which are just as much of a treasure to experience with stunning views. People often fly kites, walk their dogs and just enjoy the space no matter the weather. It's really a special part of Brighton and so easy to get to by hopping on a 77 bus. There is also a pub/hotel which has AMAZING chips which are a must, as well as toilets when needed.

A must-visit for nature and hiking lovers! Devil’s Dyke is one of the best hiking spots I’ve visited. The views are absolutely breathtaking — endless green hills, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for a weekend escape. The hike takes around 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace, and every part of the trail feels rewarding. There are plenty of photo spots, and the panoramic view from the top is just stunning. It’s well-maintained by the National Trust, with good walking paths and clear signboards. Whether you’re hiking solo, with friends, or with family, this place is perfect to refresh your mind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the South Downs area! 🌿🥾

Devil’s Duke is a beautiful place. The views are amazing and everything is very green. There’s a clear path to walk on, and it goes through a small forest with great, tall trees. We even saw cows crossing the path, which was a fun surprise. It’s calm, easy to walk, and perfect for taking photos. Bring comfy shoes and enjoy the fresh air

Shopping mall
Shopping
Churchill Square Shopping Centre is a bustling retail hub located in the heart of Brighton & Hove. The center boasts a wide array of shops, including department stores, fashion boutiques, and unique stores in The Lanes offering vintage clothing, art galleries, jewelry, and antiques. As you stroll along Western Road from Churchill Square to Palmeira Square, you'll notice the transition from commercial shops to independent ones.
Been here a few times now, and have to eccentuate how lovely the place is. I can’t comment on parking, as I walked, but the entrance from Western Road has a wonderful place to sit down, shop etc. You can also get food here from the Belgian Chips and various kiosks. The mall itself holds many helpful stores, such as WHSmiths, with a post office, lots of food stores, clothing stores such as H&M and Zara, and an HMV, a LEGO store and soon to be a new IKEA. There is wheelchair accessibility in the mall, however I have myself seen the (very rare) occurence of the local fire service getting someone out of the lift. However, I think this is really one of the only negatives I’ve seen. Bathrooms too are wheelchair accessible and most places are accessible by ramp or lift as well as stairs. Churchill Square Mall is only a couple minutes from the seaside, so its really quite convenient that you don’t have to go far for such a lovely beach, with such lovely chips. Apologies, as the only photos I have would be of the lifts going down.
Gaming 9 — Google review
Very nice and bright spacious many top brands stores under one roof as well as food court with various varieties of food. They managed it very well. I would really like to mention the toilets very clean. Perfect location very next to Brighton beach and 5min walk from train station.
Win T — Google review
Churchill Square is one of the largest and most popular retail destinations in Brighton and across the Sussex coast. The mall is spacious and packed with a wide variety of shops – from fashion and beauty to tech and home goods. It’s definitely a go-to spot for a proper retail therapy session. There’s a solid mix of big-name department stores and smaller retailers, plus a food court on the top floor with a good selection of places to eat. The toilets are located on the first floor, and lifts are available, making it accessible for all. It’s usually very busy on weekends, so if you prefer quieter shopping, weekdays might be better. Parking is available, which is convenient, though navigating the centre can be a bit tricky at times – the directory signage could definitely be improved, and I can see why some visitors get frustrated. A recent highlight is the opening of an IKEA shop – a great addition that gives you even more variety under one roof.
Pramod S — Google review
Great ambience and place to shop for new clothing and food - particularly interested in the Italian food at the top floor 😀 Justpark is close to the area for parking and cost £5.50 for up to 2 hours. It's a lovely place to visit.

Very rude interaction with the ginger security guard! I never really make reviews, but after having normally very lovely and helpful interactions with other security guards over the years in the shopping centre I was shocked to have such rude service from this one man! He shouldn’t be in a customer service role if he can’t produce one ounce of customer service! Was rather short with me when asking for directions and huffed as if he was too good to help me out! Not very good customer service at all!
Kara M — Google review
Left the ikea store (also the new owners of Churchill sq) having paid £5.50 for parking (free at Southampton and Croydon stores), went through the barrier and ended up with 3 screws in my tyre. Had to have a new one fitted by a mobile fitter at the cost of £120. Ikea seem to take no responsibility to keep the Churchill so car park clean and free of such debris. They are also unwilling despite admitting the debris was there (or rather have ignored subsequent emails) to pay for the damage to my vehicle. If things change then I will alter this review.
Oscar — Google review
I’m becoming far less impressed with shopping centres these days with a multitude of stores selling very bland fashion. No stylish clothes this year at all. Not sure where there’s big outlets get their design ideas from. It seems they all go to the same school of thought. Drab baggy fabric stitched together which hangs off the shoulder as an after thought to skin! Come on you big outlets let’s see some design for goodness sake!!! The only outlet worth visiting was Flannels. Having said that there were a good range of stores in this building. The place was clean and tidy and the loos clean too but not a place I would be a frequent visitor to unless the stores started to actually design clothes we all want to wear on a night out.

Thank you so much for the incredible roast today! We can honestly say it was the best roast we’ve had in a long time. The staff were so friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be returning to dine again. We also had a great time playing games and taking part in the slot tournament it made the experience even more fun. All in all, a fantastic day out!

Really impressed at this casino. Spread over a few floors. It's exceptionally clean and tidy with a modern interior. There was a lot of staff about to help, every single member of staff were so friendly and helpful. They were always buzzing around tidying and cleaning. Having all the usual table games and slots along with a huge big screen tv and pool. It was good fun. Definitely will return next time I'm in the area. Had food as was really hungry. It tasted amazing. Really liked the garlic bread and cheese. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, really enjoyed my time here.

I’m willing to withdraw this star rating but I went there to play poker at about 12am and got to the door without my card to show I was a member and went up to the door telling them that and the girl at the door said we can’t take you. But if this is the case and someone has lost there card and came to the door how would they handle this? Look them up on database and see if they are a member? I assume so. Then after she said that the guy on the door said I had to many (drinks) at that point I said okay…. Because after how they acted it was clear they just didn’t want me there. I had 1k in pocket to play poker. But the thing that bothered me most is that I was refused entry from the girl at the counter without reason then the bouncer came up with a reason that wasn’t valid I had 2 pints all night. I understand defending your staff I wasn’t rude at all they clearly just didn’t want me there. I’m very offended I would like an explanation from the staff on the door that night or from management. Preferably from the staff (I know this won’t happen or they will lie and say I was slurring my words or something or I was rude) if that is the case and they do say that look at CCTV. Feel very discriminated against to be honest.

Went for a curry then thought maybe we would go to the casino was with all my family got refused entry said I had to much to drink Im a Muslim I don't drink. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the staff even the manager will never go back. Spoke to my solicitor there asking for the CCTV because the gambling commission are now involved.

Second visit to this casino. Last visit was 2 years ago, was shocked when we approached the roulette table to find that the price had doubled £2 for single chips and minimum bet £10 on colours. I know this isn't a huge sum of money but as someone who is not a big gambler it made me reluctant to put my hand in my pocket, knowing how quickly my budget would deplete. It meant my stay was much shorter than expected.

Brighton Open Market is a popular marketplace offering a variety of goods, including local produce, clothing, crafts, and delicious vegan treats. It's the city's only outdoor covered market and features over 40 unique stalls and traders. Visitors can support small local businesses while enjoying quality food and handcrafted products. The market also houses several cafes, artist studios, and quirky gift stalls. It's a great place to escape the tourist crowds and soak up the local atmosphere.
I used to go there a few times a week when I used to live nearby. Went there yesterday for the 1st time in years & I was very pleased to see that the atmosphere was still the same. Small shops, good cheese, fresh eggs, cheap books, nice coffee places & eateries, lovely community❤️
Cen D — Google review
It’s not a very big market but if you want to support local and small businesses, this is the place to come! It’s very lively during Christmastime and you can find a range of items from crafts to sauces to cheese to books. There are many fantastic stalls and on the top floor there’s some specialised shops as well. If you’re passing by, it’s definitely worth a short visit. You can also keep up with them on their social media to see which days there’s going to be Makers’ Markets (my personal favourite)
8 M — Google review
Came by late on a Monday around 5 pm, and unfortunately, most shops and stalls were closed. It seems like the market winds down early in the week. It might be a better idea to visit on busier days if you're looking for more options!

It's great that you can support the locals there! You can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, there is also a bakery and many other things such as sewing materials or antique furniture. I was surprised at how delicious the Samosa was at the little kiosk on the left. The best i had in my life, seriously. The whole place is not as big as I thought, but worth visiting when you are in this area.
Aleksandra Z — Google review
Quite interesting. Not very big, but I think it's worth a short visit. You can find interesting handicrafts and all kinds of more or less valuable antiques. Small shops of local producers. I drank a very good craft beer here. I don't think you need more than 40 minutes for a visit.
Paul C — Google review
I love the open market and despise it in equal amounts. A form of gentrification with out the benefits of investment is semi present, loaves of bread available if you re mortgage your home. Fruit and veg over priced. The bacon and cheese guy is cool, as is the egg man, and the Japanese/Vietnamese place. Wish it had somewhat of a traditional market and a bit less shonky craft stalls. If it opened on Sundays with all traders and shut a couple of days midweek, it would benefit shoppers and traders. Otherwise it feels too much like a lifestyle choice for rich kids.
Pete H — Google review
Lively place with good produce, excellent vibe and a variety of food options. Great place for meat, veggie lovers alike with ample options for vegan diet as well! The place is more compact than some of the markets in London, understandably so. But the quality of food etc is good!

Queen's Park is a 15-acre urban oasis that offers a variety of activities for visitors. Whether you're in the mood for a leisurely stroll, an invigorating bike ride, or a game of tennis, this park has something for everyone. The park features leafy gardens, a central pond, and even a wildlife garden created by a local herbalist. Visitors can also enjoy regular concerts and events held within the park.
Great park, with lots of open space to play, a small cafe on the road around the outside of the park, entrance approaching from west drive, one toilets in the children's park, areas for dogs, a quiet garden, tennis courts, ducks to feed and a large pond.

Fabulous park came to feed the ducks bit unfortunately it was more like feed the seagulls. The pond was covered in green stuff. But does have a brill play park for kids of all ages and a cafe. Plus a little sand pit area

Queens Park in Brighton has always held a special place in my heart. It was the first park I often visited when I first moved here, and over the years, it has become a backdrop to so many of my memories. From quiet strolls to sunny afternoons on the grass, the park has a warm, welcoming feel that never fails to lift my spirits. It’s more than just a green space… it’s a part of my story in this city
Seenivas C — Google review
This has just been refurbished and if you have little children it's great, nothing for the kids 9 upwards. There's a cafe that sells everything from sandwiches, hotdogs, ice cream, toasties etc. There is usually only one person servicing so be prepared to queue. Watch out for the hoards of seagulls that are waiting to snatch your just purchased food, this has happened to myself several times. The toilets are the absolute worst. Unclean, smelly and rancid. Myself and children refuse to use them. There is a pond which is home to some beautiful and rather tame ducks, geese and swans. The pond itself is relatively clean but has got bits of rubbish here and there. There is also a side park which has a luminous green trickle of water through it that once upon a time you could see the tadpoles and frogs but not anymore. There are lots and lots of squirrels, a few are tame and will come and take the nuts from your hand which is an absolute delight. There is a supposedly separate dog area but when we visited there were a few dogs in the actual park area. By the side of the pond there is a large green playing area and also a few tennis courts by the clock tower. All in all the park equipment is okay for young children, the cafe be prepared to queue and some things are pricey and it is cash only. Avoid the toilets if at all possible. Look out for dogs loose in the children's park. Bring bird seed for the ducks and geese, I and monkey nuts for the squirrel and the swans love lettuce. Just be mindful that the large green area by the lake has had a few groups of people getting merry and can be quite boisterous and sometimes intimidating for children.

Preechaya R — Google review
I love going to Queens park, it is a lovely place to go during all months of the year. In autumn, the colorful leaves are specially beautiful to admire. There are many dogs in the park playing, and there are dog-free zones as well. There's a children's park, a lovely pond and lots of green space. My favourite activity is to feed the squirrels and ducks around the park. The squirrels are quite friendly and will fetch peanuts from your hand, or you can throw them in their direction, it's a nice place to go for a refreshing walk. I will say that there are stone paths around the park if you don't want to step in the grass, but the park itself is a bit steep, going up and down, night be an issue if you have special mobility needs.
Marjorie N — Google review
Lovely park with wildlife pond in the middle with lots of waterfowl such as geese moorhens, ducks & swans. Plenty of benches to sit and relax. There’s playground for kids and 6 tennis courts. We found a group doing yoga in the park. There’s wildlife garden too. The Open bakery is such a lovely café! Nice to treat your self before your relaxing short stroll in the park.

Beautiful park to visit on a sunny day. There are some tennis court nearby and a play area for the kids. Could use some toilets especially on the kids play section. Bond St Coffee is a popular spot known for its classic coffee beverages and baked goods, offering a warm setting with lounge seating. The cafe serves single-origin, low-emission brews and is B Corp-certified. It's a great place to enjoy strong americanos served with organic brunches while supporting social projects. The cafe also boasts eye-catching latte art and signature flavors, making it perfect for those who appreciate technicality in their morning brew.
Lovely coffee shop in the heart of Brighton. The coffee was delicious so was the banana walnut bread. The staff was friendly. The little table by the window on the sun made my experience even better.
Alina F — Google review
Another banging cafe in Brighton, with some of the best coffee beans if you are on the hunt. Speciality coffee made well, but the flavour and complexity of the coffee itself makes this place a gem. The vibes are always good, especially when the sun is out and people are fighting over a seat on the little benches out front - they are perfect for soaking in the sun and the huddle and bustle of Brighton on the weekend. Seating inside is a little more rustic, opting for a more mis-matched vintage style. It’s comfy and cosy, great for chilling. (Heads up, not really a cafe to work in though, there’s no wifi) The selection of cakes and bakes is not what Bond Street focuses on, but the addition of bite sized cakes to pair with the coffee is fab. Nothing stand out, but the perfect little sweet treat to complement a great cup of coffee. Try dunking! All in all, Bond Street has some of the best coffee in Brighton. Whether they make the best cup is down to preference I guess, but the beans - fab.
Dom S — Google review
I was so impressed by this cafe! All of the sweet treats looked amazing, I tried the apple tart which was delicious and had the chocolate chip cookie which was probably the best cookie I have ever eaten. The portion size was also insane and very good value for money. As for the coffee, you get to choose from the board and I went for the 'gotiti' which was amazing. It was supposed to be reminiscent of black tea but I was shocked at how true this was. I was tempted to go back for another it was that good.

Friendly place with beautiful coffee and staff who are always willing to "chat coffee". If you love black coffee then you have to try the batch filter version. Even better try the pourover, there's real craft in that. Just, wow.

top 5 in brighton for sure, it is quite expensive relatively to some coffee shops in town, staff is friendly and the service is quick, the coffee you get is always consistent. Nice pastries. Can buy coffee beans and ground coffee! No WiFi, and no laptops during the weekends - which makes sense as the place is nice and small.

What a fantastic experience. So welcoming atmosphere and that smell.... CINNAMON all over. I couldn't see at first which cake smell so divine 😍 drinking Brazilian roast coffee I spot customers next to our table eating beautiful CINNAMON BUN 😋😍 I knew then that was the smell which welcome us and I need to try it. Freshly baked with vegan cream on the side still warm. What else do you need to start your day with cup of coffee to complete all that experience. For sure one of the places to try when you travel to BRIGHTON. I'm sure we will visit you again no doubt🥰🥰🥰🥰

Cracking speciality coffee spot. Coffee-wise they do aeropress, batch filter, and v60, as well as all the milky espresso favourites. Delicious vegan sausage rolls and plenty of vegan and/or GF cake options. Their banana bread is great and packed with walnuts. And their retail is also very welcomed, with everything from your daily necessities such as v69/aeropress filters, to kettles, books, brewers and of course specialty beans. The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect.

Wow, that was a surprise and a half for my Hen Do!! I had no clue where or what I was doing throughout the whole day of being in Manchester. That was certainly an awesome way to finish the night off 😝. Drag act was on point and hosted the evening very well, catchy tunes sung in between strippers. The men were naughty! I couldn't get my jaw off the floor their performance... well speechless haha. I'm surprised of the lack of wet floor signs and mop buckets!! Only thing I would say was I'm surprised there was only 2 males I was expecting 3 or 4 but none of the less, it was still a good evening. Free drinks ( woo woos) were given throughout the evening which I thought was a good touch. If your looking for a jaw dropping, hilarious, naughty night for a hen party this is the one! A FANTASTIC night was had by all our group last Saturday at Adonis Brighton. The drag Queen was spectacular and the male strippers were extremely good at what they do :-) The venue, the food, the music & the whole night was brilliant.... Will definitely be back next time we are in Brighton... Thank you!

We attended the Blackpool show on Saturday 9th July part of the Louise Dean group for my cousins hen party, it was amazing!!! By the end of it we were all feeling Hot Hot Hot!!! The men, were Fab great dancing and of course great bodies for us all the watch 😄 KY Kelly was very entertaining, we will definately be returning. The Magic Mike scene had to be our highlight and the 'c**k in a box' was hillarious! Great atmosphere great drinks, fab entertainment and hot men all night long! Perfect night what more could we ask for 😍😍

I was due to attend the show in Manchester for a small hen do recently. Unfortunately, on the morning of the day we were scheduled to attend the event a family member of the bridal party (the son, and brother in law) was involved in a tragic, fatal motorcycle accident. Naturally we all needed to return home promptly. I emailed all of the activities (5 in total) that I had booked for that day to try and provide notice that the party will not be attending and that I would be in contact as soon as possible. Just in case they could fill our spaces. All events bar this one were sympathetic, and sent very pleasant messages of condolences. They all again bar this one, offered to rearrange the date free of charge due to the unforeseen situation we found ourselves in - which the whole party has been very grateful for. Given the situation with Covid, our event has understandably been cancelled twice. We understood that companies like this needed the flexibility of people not demanding refunds etc. Which is why we were happy to move the dates instead. However we feel we did not get the same respect in return for the horrific, clearly unforeseen circumstance the family found themselves in. Trying to communicate with this company has been quite frankly painful which is my main complaint. They took days to reply, now I am unable to communicate with them at all. I am being ignored, despite my messages still remaining polite to them. When they did initially respond they were abrupt and unaccommodating and this is what I want this review to reflect.

Cancelled event with less than a weeks notice. I’m dubious if it was ever actually booked as the hosting venue had no knowledge of their booking and no one has any evidence otherwise. Impossible to contact and very unprofessional. I strongly advise you absolutely DO NOT use this company. Edit: The fact it’s taken 7 months for any kind of response to any communication just about sums it up. The fact it comes through a review as well rather than direct contact to my emails is even better. I did receive a refund, but through the third party booking site. Communication is abysmal and I don’t think you can blame Covid for all their faults. I still stand by the fact I’d never book an event with this company again.

I've been to the London and Brighton shows and they are the best girly night out you can have! Hilarious, really lovely guys and the PERFECT place to celebrate a hen do or birthday - can't wait to go again soon!! Definitely reccomend as I've been to other similar nights in London and ADONIS is 100% better than the competition and better value for money. Enjoy ladies! x

The Level is a park in Brighton that has a variety of features for children, such as a skatepark and sensory garden. It also has a cafe and hiring venue for small community engagements.
Wonderful space for all sorts. Cafe, skateboarding, playground, green grass, toilets... Watching skaters is good fun - some are brilliant. Easy access.

Nice walking place anytime. I generally have a quick walk after every meal. There is a skate area, I see lot of kids, adults showing their skating skills here.

The Level is a reasonably sized park located right in the centre of Brighton. There's a decent amount of green space, sectioned off by a walkway that runs through the park—making it a handy shortcut to London Road or other parts of the city. It's generally a pleasant walk during the day, though like with most places, I'd be a bit cautious in the evenings. The park features a skate park that’s popular with kids on BMX bikes and skateboards, plus a water splash area and enough play equipment to keep younger children entertained (and worn out!). It’s definitely a family-friendly spot. That said, the park could benefit from a bit of tidying up here and there. It’s not bad by any means, just needs a bit of care to really shine. Parking can be a challenge since it’s in the city centre—expect it to be both difficult and expensive. If you're driving, it’s best to plan ahead. I've been coming to The Level for as long as I can remember, and it's always been a staple of Brighton. It even hosts the fair every now and then during the summer, which adds to its charm.

It was lovely to find the water play area working. It would be great if there was a toilet available.

The level is a great local park, a great and safe play park for kids, a massive green for chilling or ball games, a water feature that kids love to keep cool in and a table tennis area. Always open any time of day

Aways something happening. In a good way and in a bad way. Seen fighting, robbery and other unpleasant things. Twice this year I have had people trying to rob me. Seen police vans darting across the green many times . Plus please be aware of drug needles on the grass, bushes and toilets. On a good day it's the best park in Brighton and Hove but on a bad day, it can be a nightmare. But still by a long way the best place to chill in Brighton.
