Brunch was fantastic here. Food was great as well as drinks. We opted for the bottomless drinks, but as the restaurant was extremely busy was a little slow with topping us up but understandable. Friend’s steak wasn’t great but was replaced immediately. Other than that, food was so good we returned the next day before heading back home.

This is definitely a yummy brunch spot but I’m not running to go back. I ordered the French toast which I felt was a bit skimpy as the lady next to me had ordered the same and had a much more generous portion. I spoke to the staff and they were lovely and did give me a small discount as an apology which was very kind of them!! It was decent food, nothing to complain about but nothing to call home about either :)

Cannot rate highly enough! The food was great but the absolute best part was the service! Our waiter (Antonio/Tony) was AMAZING. He was so attentive and such a good sport for our big group of gals on a bottomless brunch, even taking a selfie with us when we asked! It made the experience so special, we love you Antonio!
Courtney C — Google review
Had high expectations, waited for just under an hour for our table of 2’s food. Unfortunately there were only 2 staff on the floor and they seemed quite stretched. The food was a miss for me, cold components like the hash brown and bacon on my English brekkie, and the crayfish was rubbery for my guest. Plating was aesthetic but there’s not much love in the food.
Maggie G — Google review
Very lovely place, came to enjoy the sunshine and have a bit of food, the Berries Pancake is as absolutely unreal and so was the limincello Spritz I had after. Everything was made even better with Tegan who helped with the menu, was knowledgeable and just really lovely overall making the experience perfect. Would highly recommend at any time! (Forgot to take a picture of the food - ate it too fast)

Tony was absolutely incredible! I’ve been served by him before and he’s always so friendly, kind and attentive – he really makes the whole experience even better. We had the bottomless brunch and it was fantastic – delicious food, great drinks and excellent service throughout.

Breakfast restaurant

Restaurant
The Breakfast Club in Brighton is a trendy restaurant known for its American-style breakfasts, creative cocktails, and lively weekend brunch events. The vibrant interior features rich colors, velvet sofas, and retro diner vibes. The menu offers a variety of all-day dishes including huevos rancheros, fried chicken and bacon waffles, and an array of bloody marys. Their famous pancake stacks are consistently delicious with options like fruit and whipped vanilla cream or peanut butter and jam.
Really great breakfast, had the 2 egg option with sides and some of those homemade potatoes (which were gorgeous). The beans had a lovely cajun, smokey taste and the eggs were poached perfectly. Plus Sourdough! Sitting outside on the picnic bench was a perfect way to start the day and watch as Brighton rouses itself. Booking recommended (especially for breakfast). Staff were all courteous and professional. No complaints!
Steven B — Google review
It's a simple and shabby American-style breakfast shop with no decoration or atmosphere. I was searching for places to eat pancake in Brighton early in the morning, and Google Maps recommended it to me. I ordered blueberry pancake and hamburgers. The pancake were very dry, with a texture as if everything was broken,The bacon was delicious. The breakfast hamburger tastes good. After finishing the meal and settling the bill, it turned out that only credit cards were accepted, not cash. But as a tourist, I don't have a card. I only have 50 pounds in cash! Finally, I went to a small shop nearby and exchanged 10 pounds in cash for the meal fee 💷38.12 pounds, I gave 40 pounds, and no change could be given to me. A really bad experience. I'm extremely dissatisfied!! Because in my country, it is illegal to refuse cash or change!!

Had an excellent service and breakfast as usual here. Served by a lovely woman called Sophia who was super attentive, friendly and speedy with service. Food was fantastic went for my fav the smashed avo with homemade beans and hash browns!! Highly recommend. Atmosphere is also fab here

I had the chicken, waffles and bacon and I have to say, it was superb. It was cooked beautifully (the chicken breast in particular blew me away, very tender and succulent). “I want it that way” started playing over the speakers and me and my mate started singing along to it. There was this one waitress that noticed and gave us a little cheer and applause. She came over and we had a brief little chat about the song - I’d shout her out here if I knew her name. I liked her energy - a nice genuine chill vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

Great selection of American - style breakfasts. The shakshuka was very good and I loved that it came with avocado on toast. Food wait was quite a while, we’d already finished coffees before it arrived. A cosy and unique place to try - but quite expensive. Nearly £24 for a coffee and breakfast. There are lots of optional extras which soon add up. Overall a good experience for brunch. Large portions but if you’re looking for a healthier/ lighter breakfast go elsewhere.

So after coming back to Brighton after many years off after initially coming to visit my uni pal numerous times but never really properly exploring, I’m glad to say I’ve found the greatest breakfast. Reasonably priced, good quality and amazing service. Credit to the lad with the shaved head and beard who appeared to be the manager. We definitely will be back here 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

One of the best places for breakfast in Brighton! We came from quite a long way just to try The Breakfast Club, and it was absolutely worth it. The food was fresh, delicious, and creative — every dish was full of flavour, and the coffee really stood out with its rich taste. We did have a small issue with the seating, but we shared our feedback with the café manager, Jack, who was fantastic. He handled it with great professionalism, apologized sincerely, and made sure we left happy. Overall, we highly recommend this place — amazing food, great coffee, and wonderful people! Thanks Jack!

Me and my GF have been here twice, both times the staff were lovely and we were seated within minutes both times. Food speaks for itself in that I personally think this is 'the' place for breakfast in Brighton. Love the atmosphere too.

French restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Mange Tout is a popular French-run eatery in Brighton, offering Gallic classics and daily specials from breakfast to dinner. This charming independent brunch spot serves popular dishes like eggs Florentine and salmon omelettes, along with homemade juices and locally-sourced coffee. The bistro's commitment to sustainability and product quality, combined with attentive service, has made it one of Brighton's prime breakfast spots.
The best eggs Royal I've ever had! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The hollandaise was a real, proper one (I've been served too many cheap mass made nasty ones before) and a generous serving of smoked salmon. I think the thick slices of sourdough bread was better than a traditional English muffin, and went better for taste and texture. Seasoned beautifully and finished with herbs. Purr pleasure on a plate! That aside, the staff are absolutely lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for such a wonderful start to our trip into Brighton.

Where to start… Headed to Mange Tout for breakfast and were stunned by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the croque Madame and mighty mange tout - Best breakfast we had so far. Also decided to return in the evening. Dinner even takes a step further. Crayfish toast, bavette steak & beef bourguignon were tremendous. Compliments to Joe & Asha for outstanding service!

Really lovely brunch, super clean and tidy, welcoming atmosphere, amazing service by a lovely man with a butterfly/flower tattoo (sorry I didn’t get your name) and a delicious vegetarian breakfast muffin (my photography doesn’t do it justice)… and the chai espresso martini was outrageously good! Will definitely be back:)

Really loved the scene and vibes here on a Sunday morning . The eggs Benedict was perfect, couldn't have asked more to start the day.

A lovely find in Brighton for a French brunch and strong coffee. The service is warm and friendly and the place was buzzing on a Saturday morning! Recommended!
Kirsty M — Google review
Lots to appreciate here but felt a bit stung by the ££ number on my receipt - brunch with 2 (small-sized) hot drinks cost me £35. So be mindful if you order a ‘side’ addition to your breakfast. They are a tiny portions (eg Hollandaise (which was standard on some brunches but for some reason not included in the veggie option)) at £4 a pop.

Having only two days in Brighton this restaurant was rated so highly we thought we must try it. My friend speaks fluent French and has a good knowledge of the cuisine so we were very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately on arrival we were spoken to in a rude and abrupt manner and decided not to stay. It just makes me a little sad because for me personally it was my first trip since the loss of my husband and for my friend who is going through some health issues. Please treat us all with some kindness it's not what you say it's the way you say it.

My husband booked a bottomless drag brunch and the theme was country - our waitress Jasmin was superb! Such good vibes and really elevated our experience with her great service. It was so busy but she was so on it with checking on us The food was so good - I had a smashed burger and swapped out fries for tater tots! We drank loads and loads of drinks that were all super delicious and the packages were so fairly priced The show was hilarious and we both had so much fun!

I had a bottomless brunch “Lucky Escape Party” at Revolution yesterday (24th August) it was the day I was supposed to be getting married but In hindsight VERY lucky not to be! The atmosphere was perfect and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to do a fun bottomless brunch!!

Lucky Beach Cafe is a popular casual eatery located on the seafront in Brighton. It offers outside seating and a brunch menu, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed dining experience. The cafe is known for its commitment to sustainability and serves up a selection of British fare, including some of the best fish and chips in town. With its chic 100-seater restaurant, Lucky Beach provides an intimate and laid-back atmosphere with stunning views.
Honestly, this might have been the best breakfast we’ve ever had—and we’ve eaten a lot of breakfasts. The atmosphere? Chef’s kiss. The service? Friendlier than your nan after two cups of tea. And where else can you start your day with crab and tacos? It’s like brunch took a tropical holiday and brought back souvenirs for your taste buds. 10/10, would crab again.
Charlotte M — Google review
We came as a big group and a lot of us had a really pleasant experience. The honey chicken burger was incredible and the fish and chips were as good. The drinks however came served with a bug in both. When we asked about one of the drinks the lady serving us said that it was a passion fruit seed. However I had a Pepsi max and had the same bug in my drink. I was shocked by the amount of chips in the hot chip bowl. For 4 pound you should be getting at least 1 serving of chips. I think I counted about 15 chips. I also asked if they had different sizing for the T-shirts and the girl serving us said I’m not sure but I’m sure we do.. I would have thought she would check at least. I don’t like complaining, but her costumer service really wasn’t great. However we did have great service from two of the other staff members. Overall I’m a bit disappointed because I’ve heard really good things.
Kelly K — Google review
Varied thoughts on this place. It is a great location on the beach in Brighton, somewhat understandably not cheap. Most of the food was well presented and good quality. The French toast was our least favourite- the ganache was split, the toast was burnt, and the toppings were frugal. The English breakfast was much better. The crab Benedict was not to my taste, but was well cooked and presented - I just didn’t think the flavours combined well. The Tea was served in great little metal pots (don’t burn yourself) which were generous and lovely. The service was excellent - quick and cheerful.
Martyn B — Google review
We had such a wonderful time here! The food was absolutely amazing – so fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully colourful. It really felt like a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. A special mention to Ollie, who was so lovely and friendly, making the whole experience even better. The warm service paired with the stunning beachside views made this café a real gem. Can’t wait to come back – highly recommend!

I came here during pride and the staff were amazing. So sweet and caring, everybody were in such great spirits and really welcomed in everybody and made them feel taken care of. The food was fresh and wonderfully crafted. I had the lucky catch which was calamari with fish & chips as well as mushy peas with a spin. I had some of their handcrafted nonalcoholic drinks. The passion fruit spritz & the ginger one were great. The alcoholic drinks looked great but I had to work later so we kept it PG. I enjoyed everything 10/10. They’re right by the beach as well so there was beautiful scenery all around.
Alexi W — Google review
The staff were so lovely, and quick. We sat inside up the stairs to get away from the wind, but to still lookout over the beach, this was not an issue for our server who ran up and down with our drinks and food. The food 1000/10, me and my husband shared the ‘Lucky Catch’ which was large fish and calamari with chips, mushy peas and dips. It is not a sharing platter, but just enough for the two of us to have a nice sized lunch. The batter on the fish, calamari and the surprise bits of either butternut squash or sweet potato, was so crisp and delicious. The fries were lovely and salty and the mushy peas, soooo buttery!! This is a must go just for the peas!! Along with two ciders and a Pepsi max, I would say it is not a bad price.
Alyx W — Google review
The place was lovely, very quick services, seated and bought drinks super quick. The slushy cocktail was very tasty. We ordered the local fish and chips. And I'm having a hard time believing the fish as enough fish for one person. "Quality over quantity", the quality was tasty, but I wasn't convinced by the quantity. It was nice, but nothing to shout about, and definitely not at £18.40. sorry! I live in London, I'm used to prices. I'd like some fish with my fish and chips please. Lucky Beach did reply to pass feedback to the kitchen. I edited my review to add compliments to the service and I think the edit removed Lucky Beaches reply.

I love Lucky Beach. Thank you Lucy for serving great coffee and a lovely breakfast. I had the fresh crab benedict and parmesan hash browns. This place could be considered pricey, especially for a group, but it's a lovely treat and a really nice place to relax. It might be cloudy in Brighton this morning, but it's a sunny warm atmosphere at Lucky Beach.

Mesmerist is a vibrant and lively pub located in the heart of Brighton's Lanes. The retro decor and gin palace-inspired ambiance make it a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. With three floors offering individually styled rooms, this dapper lounge bar provides a perfect setting to enjoy quality food or expertly mixed cocktails. The establishment boasts an all-weather rooftop garden, making it ideal for alfresco drinks year-round.
This place is brilliant. Lived in Brighton for years and been in a few times. Never thought to review it until I saw a couple of poor reviews-are they (the reviewers) mad or do they have an axe to grind? Brilliant food and drink and supreme service. Have recommended to family and friends.
Matthew M — Google review
20th July 2025 £55 for two The early months of Mich’s pregnancy have been beset by seemingly most of the possible negative side-effects - most prominently daily morning sickness well beyond the point where people helpfully keep reminding her it should have stopped by now - and, barring one urgent request for a strawberry Yazoo, very few of the fun cravings some women experience. So when one Sunday she woke with a happy lack of nausea and a desire for big fat burgers we decided to make the most of it and head into town. This newfound feeling of normalcy basically extended to wanting to not be in the bathroom with her head down a toilet for as long as possible and also to eat as much as she could, so first we wandered along the seafront to peruse the crossword over a coffee and a ginormous slice of banana bread and possibly the jammiest doughnut (perhaps even too much jam?!) at Fika. This is important context. As the decision to burger had been made early in the day, and as Mich was having such a nice time, and as that slice of banana bread was enough to satiate her for pretty much an entire afternoon, I had a lot of time to mentally conceive of - and build, and tweak over several dozen phases of interactive design: from raw red onion rings to cubed and caramelised white and back again - my perfect burger. After one too many “are you hungry yet?”s we agreed to independently research and then come back together to discuss potential venues. Top of the list was a place called 7Bone, pretty much because the main picture on their website matched most closely my own design: two smashed patties, with melted cheese seeping into its gaps, in one of those milky-floury non-brioche buns. (Mich wanted a chicken burger, and they did those too). Also raising an eyebrow was the fact that “ooh, Red Dog are in the Mesmerist now”, so we stopped off for a look at their menu en route, and had reliable old Honest Burgers nearby as a Plan C too. It wasn’t right at 7Bone at all and I think we knew it from the off. Not that that stopped us from asking for a table a few minutes after we’d dismissed the waiter once with a “we’re just having a look at the menu”, despite by that point in the day knowing it almost off by heart. But for some reason the in-jokey names felt more egregious in the flesh (“iaia(i)n with three eyes”, “peter green”, “all right all right all right”), and coupled with the option only to order via an app and the too-loud AI-sounding ‘music’ over the speakers, we decided to leave. So to the Mesmerist. Turns out Red Dog can be just as creative with its burgers while managing to come up with names that don’t make you feel like a teenage girl at her first big-school sleepover with a bunch of friends who all knew each other from primary, but really I just wanted a really good cheeseburger, so I didn’t really pay them much attention. I asked for a double, and Mich got a messy spicy cheesy slawy juicy fried chicken thigh thing, with obligatory buffalo wings and chips to share on the side too. Did they satisfy our cravings? Mich was just really happy to be able to eat something like that again for the first time in ages, and given she normally uses a knife and fork for her burgers like a weirdo anyway it didn’t really matter that her bun disintegrated under duress of all the liquid seeping into it. A little sickly by the end perhaps, but hit the spot. Mine did, but only just about. It’s really difficult, if burgers are your thing, to serve a terrible one, but this wasn’t exactly special: as you can see from the picture the buns were the cheap claggy type, which meant that them forgetting my second patty, throwing the ratios all off, had more of an impact than it might otherwise have done. The flavour on the wings was fine but they looked like they’d come from the chicks who got picked last in PE; the chips (and smoked chipotle mayo) were excellent. Overall fine, but nothing to write home about. Unless you’re me, and analysing average food in minute detail is for some reason your thing.

I hosted my partner’s 30th birthday at The Mesmerist in one of their private rooms, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly helpful in the lead-up to the event and made the setup on the day so easy. We were even able to access the room early, which gave us plenty of time to decorate and get everything perfect. The team working behind our private bar were absolutely amazing – so friendly and welcoming, which really added to the atmosphere of the night. There was a small issue with pouring pints at our bar, so we had to purchase those from another bar in the venue, but honestly, it didn’t impact the evening in any significant way. The only slight hiccup was with the music. The volume was a bit low at first, and later in the night, there were a few moments where it cut out. While it wasn’t a major problem, it would have been great if everything had run smoothly. One thing I really appreciated was how flexible the team were after the event. We were given plenty of time to take down our decorations and even allowed to collect them a few days later, which was such a big help. All of our guests had a wonderful time and many commented on how great the space was. I’d definitely consider hosting another event here in the future. Huge thanks to everyone at The Mesmerist for helping make the night so special!

The food was amazing, everything we ordered tasted great. The burnt end nuggets, nachos, and the giant onion rings were definite highlights. But the organisation wasn’t great, so it’s not the best spot for big groups. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, we had to move some seats/tables ourselves, they only took half the table’s drink order, they brought out too many of items and were missing a meal (however they did offer a free drink for the missing meal). It’s also a pretty loud place, so probably better for smaller groups or couples. The food is pricey, but the portions are huge, wish that was mentioned on the menu because we would’ve ordered less if we knew!

Went today as found out Red Dog Saloon operates out of here and it didn't disappoint!! Firstly the staff were attentive as soon as we walked through the door, I love a warm welcome. The food was just as good as their london uncles!! I went for my fav (Cronos) and was loved every bite. Recommend this pub for good food and a welcoming environment. Me and my boyfriend came here on probably the last summers day of 2025 and what a wonderful place it is! We sat in the upstairs roof Top area and it was absolutely wonderful, the drinks were fabulous and very well priced and we loved seeing the beautiful art and flowers around the place! Will definitely be coming back throughout 2026 <3

Went on a Sunday. Just after midday. The gent behind the bar was a bit blunt. Tried to make conversation with him while ordering food and got little to no response. I ordered the cheese burger, while it came out quickly. It actually was cold and a little to pink for me. And for the price surprised it didn’t come with chips. Has a lot of potential! Just a bit of attention to detail and staff who are customer facing! putting my review up to 3 starts due to the nice reply from management

Came in at lunchtime and had the cheeseburger and onion rings. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. Customer service was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming. Good location and prices reasonable considering quality and compared to nearby eateries. Would highly recommend.

The venue boasts a heated outdoor terrace and an upstairs nightclub, offering a wide selection of reasonably priced beers, wines, cocktails, and spirits. This lively establishment is adorned with Pride bunting year-round and hosts popular events such as Cabaret and Drag shows that attract LGBTQ audiences and allies.
Very friendly bar. Bonus of being dog friendly too. Very pleasant atmosphere in late afternoon/early evening when I visited. Just one teeny tiny criticism. The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was playing on a constant loop on both occasions I visited. Was it jammed in the DVD player? 😛

We as a small group of 3 friends went in on a Friday evening in busy July as we saw advertised outside that it was half price Fajita Friday & happy hour before 9 pm (not cocktails, just money off beers & spirits) so we ordered 1/2 price fajitas & reduced price ciders. My friends had chicken, they said it was very good, I chose the steak, it was so tough it was impossible to chew, it went around in my mouth forever, could not break it down so just had to swallow it in the end, very tough indeed, would not recommend, my friend complained on my behalf but they didn't offer to try to cook it anymore if that would've helped I don't know, they just said sorry. The additional condiments to they offered to make the fajitas weren't enough for the 3 of us. The music was awful & deafeningly loud, we couldn't hear each other talk ! The clientele left a lot to be desired. Would not want to return.

Myself and a group of 12 friends had a an Abba bottomless brunch that was booked and it was cancelled as we arrived to venue..We was all dressed up in Abba fancy dress, so we quickly had to find another Brunch to book which I booked Charles Street 1 hour before our chosen time slot that was available. When we turned up, there was a slight issue of the booking not showing up as they need 24- 48 hours notice and they was pretty booked up. The manager luckily worked things out and let us in. All of staff was brilliant and very attentive, the food was amazing, and cocktails were also really nice! Everyone left very happy, thank you for making our day flow better 😄

Went here to enjoy a fun LGBTQ+ night. However, the act mocked lesbians which we did not expect in a place like Brighton. We instead visited the market inn with a fabulous karaoke night where everyone was accepted and could enjoy themselves without judgement - something I thought Brighton was all about!

The inside bar hosts electronic music events, adding to the lively atmosphere. With cavernous interiors and a seafront terrace, Tempest offers delicious fare and fail-safe menu options from Bonito.
24/08/25 Great pub on the seafront first time there. There is a cool seating area inside and the is also seats outside by the beach. A lot going on and a great atmosphere. Staff were fantastic and really friendly. Prices were fair. It’s on the seafront so you will have to find a car park to park. Personally I would get the train walk down and have a drink Not tried the food so can’t comment

Tempest is an amazing pub! This review is purely in regards to their current kitchen Puffin. Not sure if I was unlucky but my £15 "roll" turned out to be a single slice of brioche bread folded in half with not a lot inside. It was tasty, but was pretty stingy portion size wise, especially for £15! It made me a bit sad.

The food looks gorgeous, size of the dishes is huge, however, the taste is average. Very instagrammable:) a big selection of beers, siders and other drinks. Great atmosphere by the sea, so I definitely recommend it for the vibes!

Whenever we go on vacation, I always seek out themed or unique dining establishments. I had made advanced reservations for an indoor table at Tempest in long for 6pm. We were promptly seated without any delay, and we used a QR code to order and pay, with a server delivering our food directly to our table. The menu options were limited, as were the drink choices, although it was evident that they had a full bar and could prepare any drink. The food was delicious and the ambiance was enjoyable. It's a fantastic spot to gather with friends for drinks, but I wouldn't necessarily return for a family dinner.

Located just footsteps away from the Royal Pavilion, Starfish & Coffee serves up some of the best brunch in Brighton. Using only local, seasonal produce and top quality ingredients, their dishes are simply delicious. From sweet treats such as cookies and cakes to savoury dishes like eggs benedict and smoked salmon benedict, there is something for everyone at this wonderful cafe.
I’ve wanted to come here for so long, I’ve heard such amazing things and now I can see why. Genuinely one of the best brunches, if not the best, I’ve had in Brighton! The cafe itself is really lovely, nice atmosphere and a lovely spot by Queen’s Park. The service is friendly and personable. The food is outstanding. I had the avocado smash and my friend had the seasonal eggs. Incredible, full of flavour and different to any other offerings elsewhere. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Place so good & cosy we visited each morning of our trip to Brighton! ;) Located next to Queen’s Park, it’s the perfect spot for a coffee break. The food was delicious as well. We were able to try a different dish each day and nothing disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and like it was made with love and care. It was the perfect start to our day. I would love to come back when I visit again. Small tip: if you want to come during the weekend I would recommend booking a table on their site (very easy to do).

This was our favorite brunch spot in Brighton and the best brunch we’ve had in the UK!! Unfortunately it was our last day in town so we didn’t have time to come back again, but definitely would have. The pancakes were melt in you mouth perfect and the jam was so good we tried asking if they sold it by the jar. Pistachio latte was great. The star of the show was the eggs on toast, which we definitely recommend!

Delicious food, tasty coffee, excellent service! Upstairs is nice and bright, seats out the front are lovely on warm days, downstairs seating area is a bit lacklustre. Remember to make a reservation for brunch as this sport is busy and popular 🙂 Highly recommend the chorizo hash! Yum! 😋

Had my first visit to Starfish & Coffee recently and couldn’t wait to come back. The Avocado Smash is the best variation/spin on avo toast I have EVER had, the avocado is packed onto the sourdough, really generous portions. I had my dinner here as I am staying in the Hilton. The waiter who served me was very friendly and helpful. I've just ordered the Dirty Burger and was more than enough, the burger was very good and juicy and the chips it was amazingly well-cooked. I want to Order a dessert also but I was full. Really recommended passing by and enjoying the environment and vibes of the bar. Just want to say thank you to all the team who were working.

Service was first rate. Pleasant and friendly greeting in a very nice setting. Was a warm day and patio doors were open which I asked to be closed due to the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke. My wife ordered the grilled half chicken and was told 25 minute wait. Fair enough being freshly cooked. When it arrived it was nicely presented but in terms of flavour; unremarkable. She enjoyed the flat mushroom and chips but unfortunately this couldn’t justify the price. I had the beef bourguignon cottage pie. Very disappointed. I couldn’t eat it and ended up returning it. To give them credit they took it well and took it off the bill. Such a shame as the hotel and staff are fantastic and if this is the norm then they are really letting the hotel down
Ian B — Google review
Food is great, with a good view as well. Friendly staff and service was exceptional. The dining area seems a bit old fashion but has a very nice ambiance overall. Also great selection of drinks from cider to whiskey. Great place if you are staying at the Hilton.
Sean I — Google review
Staff is attentive and friendly Atmosphere was nice with the live DJ playing music Food is honestly not good and needs to be really improved. The kid’s pizza was a cheap ready made base with too much tomato passata and not enough cheese on top. Fries portion was too small for the price. Chicken Caesar salad had too much sauce and weird anchovies. When I notified the pizza was bad they offered to replace it but not to remove it from the bill I understand you have a captive clientele with the hotel guests but charging these prices for this level of food is harsh. All the hard work of the staff is let down
David A — Google review
Stopped by for Afternoon Tea using a voucher received as a gift. We were able to add our son for a children's tea as well, all easily accommodated via email. Friendly correspondence. Children's tea was very cute, but would have preferred a little less sugar. Adult tea was fine. The sandwiches weren't as refined as they could have been, but tasted fine. The scones were the star of the show served fresh and warm. Absolute perfection. Desserts were ok, but all extremely sweet save for the eclair which was very disappointing. Atmosphere is nice, service is friendly, quick and efficient. Was it worth it? Yes, because it was a gift and we only paid for the kids tea. If I'd paid myself, I would be a lot more disappointed for that price.
Deborah H — Google review
A 12.5% service charge was applied to every round I bought, even though I was going to the bar myself to get the drinks. It might be understandable if it was table service only, but it wasn't. Also, we were sitting on the terrace outside and serving staff were few and far between. It's a lovely spot for a sundowner, but make sure you're aware of the prices!

Lovely little pub. And oh my goodness.. my favourite ever roast in Brighton. It NEVER disappoints, it’s perfect. I keep coming back, I’ve tried all the roasts and I can highly recommend all of them. The staff are very kind and attentive too.

Came here for bottomless brunch for the Second time. Pizzas are excellent. My non Gluten base was one of the best I've had. Lots of toppings with great cheese. Best bit is there are several different drinks- different mimosas and elderflower fizz and the server keeps bringing jugs. So no waiting at the bar. If you come in a large group then share pizzas as their oven is small and pizzas come out at different times. Server was very friendly. Very cool place. Best for bottomless brunch if you like pizza.

Very much my top choice of local. Nice relaxed vibes, good music, great staff and independent of the big nasty pub companies and brewery's that have snapped up much of Brighton's boozers. Could do with more vegan options on the menu but the food is good ;)

Lovely pub and staff. The Bar team are super friendly and the place has a really nice atmosphere about it. The West Hill Tavern had been recommend to me by friends after they had been there and had the Sunday roast. Needless to say the roast was every bit as nice as I had been told it was. Lunch with cocktails, wonderful food, great place to eat, friendly, attentive, professional staff. Highly recommend it here. We sat outside, as it was too warm inside, but I think that's because I'm menopausal rather than anything the restaurant can do. What I saw of it, was Beautiful inside.

Lovely place to have a date or dine with groups of friends or have celebrations be it birthdays, anniversaries etc. ..the food was great. Waiters were super friendly, nice , polite and professional. They make very good cocktails. Only thing I didn't appreciate was the vegan menu. They don't make it available like they do other menus. But they let you know that it's available. Unfortunately, I asked for it and I was told it would be brought to me but they never brought it. So has to settle for something manageable on the main menu. Also, you pay extra service charge if at all you want vegan menu. I think this should be looked into because it's a lovely restaurant.

Noise levels were very high inside. Outside was nice and relaxing. As with all Ivy,s your expectations are high. I felt a slight hesitation on behalf of the staff that serviced me. However as the meal processed they warmed and became more attentive. (I am a person of colour) Food was outstanding. Well done as normal.

The food was okay. I had the Duck curry which had very mild flavours for my Indian palette. The service was nice, even though it was quite slow. We arrived at 6:30PM and we left around 9:15PM. We had 2 rounds of drinks, a main, and a dessert. It was also bit too warm in there. The ambiance was quite nice to be fair.

The food, cocktails, service, decor... everything was brilliant. We had a fantastic time out for a friends birthday. Definitely recommend. Worth the money for sure.

You are definitely paying a premium price at The Ivy, but for that we received excellent and professional service and the atmosphere was very special. The lights were dimmed, there was a live singer and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was good - not exceptional, but very nice and of a high quality. In our party we tried the vegetarian curry, the salmon and the scallops linguine and everything was very good. The desserts equally so. This is not a cheap evening meal, but you are paying for the experience and the great service.

We had dinner with cocktails here and really enjoyed the experience. The food was very good, and the crème brûlée was definitely my favorite. The restaurant was quite busy, but the staff stayed attentive and friendly, making sure everything went smoothly. We were seated inside, and the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable. Overall, it’s a great place to eat, and I can definitely recommend it.
Uliana G — Google review
Visited this restaurant fir lunch in a Thursday 11:30, was greeted very politely by a lady. Was seated in a quiet area which I requested. We were then served by another taller lady of colour. The service we received was rather appalling. When cutlery was laid down after our order, it was sort of ‘ placed roughly’ very nosy. I was having a conversation with my husband, and all I could hear were the clicking of the forks and knives’. Order was taken very abruptly, food was placed on table without even a turn of head to check if ‘is there anything else I could get you’. This is not the sort of service you expect from a good restaurant. Food came rather quickly which was good. My fillet steak came perfectly to my satisfaction. My husband had the ‘ivy burger’ which was good too. It is a shame that a perfectly planned lunch appointment was ruined by just this one server. May I suggest she goes back to training, if that is not possible, she could go to the back so as not to annoy customers. She is obviously not too happy to work or to serve customers. She has this ‘sour’ looking face. For the price we pay for lunch, I really expected better service. At least, with a smile.

I do like this place, everytime I'm in Brighton twice a year, I visit, mostly for the location. The food is quite good but I've had better. That's me just being super picky... the "seafood sharer" is really for 1 person, Or a starter for 2 people but at £19.50. I'd expect more in the little basket. It's considerably more expensive than the fish n chips (get this, it's really good). Fish n chips or the burger is your go to. This place does get busy, and they don't have a ton of staff so you might be in for a wait if you don't pre-book. Overall: decent food, fantastic location, great coffee, worth the visit.
Andy C — Google review
I stumbled into OHSO Social on a whim, chasing a quiet moment by the sea and ended up finding something far more memorable. Nestled right on Brighton Beach, just steps from the Palace Pier, this place doesn’t just serve food and drinks it serves atmosphere, connection, and a kind of effortless charm that lingers long after you leave. The view alone is worth the visit: waves rolling in, starlings dancing between the piers, and the golden hour casting everything in a soft, cinematic glow. But it’s the vibe that truly sets it apart. Whether you’re sipping cocktails under the heated terrace or sharing a laugh over fish and chips, there’s a rhythm to this place that feels both laid-back and alive. The staff were warm and attentive, striking that rare balance between casual and professional. I felt welcomed not just as a customer, but as a part of the evening. The food was fresh, comforting, and beautifully presented, with local ingredients that spoke to the season. What I loved most was how OHSO Social made space for both solitude and celebration. It’s the kind of spot where you can reflect quietly with a drink or lose yourself in the energy of a beachside party. Either way, you leave feeling lighter. Highly recommended for the view, the vibe, and the feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be.
Sourav B — Google review
An absolute gem by the seaside! 💙 The fish and chips were spot on—beautifully crisp batter with perfectly flaky fish inside. The mussels were rich, fresh, and full of flavour, served in a wonderfully hearty broth. To top it all off, the service was impeccable 🌸Bikeish🌸 was incredibly warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're after a proper seafood feast with a stunning seaside atmosphere, this place is a must 👍
Seonjeong K — Google review
We were a large group where one person had a seafood allergy. They would not serve her and refused to allow that we purchase a meal for her elsewhere so she could eat with us. Their pathetic excuse was cross contamination of food. Do not all UK kitchens have standards? Never mind all the doggies allowed. SImply pathetic, ignorant managment. Sad as it's a lovely place.
Yvette W — Google review
Right at the front on the promenade overlooking the beach and sea views. Only had a drink. Friendly staff. Outside on the massive patio area nice sunny evening with a cold drink. What a place. We didn't eat. It was really busy. Dogs are welcome.
David H — Google review
Pros: • Great location • Food was alright… Cons: • The venue was understaffed and it took around 10 minutes for 2 drinks to show up. Not the fault of the staff who seemed to be getting abuse from the customers for something totally out of their control. • Pathetically small pots for ketchup or mayo (undoubtedly a genius cost cutting technique from management) that means staff have to run around even more when these pots inevitably empty. • The music was so bad that it felt as if you were in a PureGym. Genuinely terrible atmosphere and this did not help. Overall- a terribly organised venue which reflects poorly on helplessly stretched staff and a waste of a great location. I paid with a good discount and still would not come again. 2/5.

Nice, but not sure I’d go back. It’s a lovely space with kind service, and I enjoyed the experience overall—but for the price, it didn’t quite hit. The food was good, not great. With so many options in Brighton, I’m not sure it stands out enough to return. The biggest letdown was the matcha. I asked for it extra strong, paid £2 more, and could already tell by the pale color it wasn’t high quality. Watery, diluted, and disappointing. That said, the setting is charming and the vibe is nice—it just didn’t deliver enough to justify the price.

Very cute place. Got strawberry matcha and butcher's breakfast. Butcher's breakfast was a bit too salty/peppered to my taste, but otherwise good. I'd mix up a bit more of fresh bits into it to balance it out. Wasn't crowded at all on a Friday morning, while a few other places nearby were packed.

By rating this 3 star, I’m not saying that I didn’t enjoy this. The presentation and design of this place is stunning, and I would highly recommend going if you’re looking to get a decent brunch. I just wasn’t overly impressed by the flavours or taste of the overall meal. It was all style really.

We made a last-minute stop at this cute brunch spot tucked off the main street, and it did not disappoint. The service was so friendly, and the food came out quickly. I started with the matcha lime tonic, then we shared the eggs benedict and the veggie English breakfast... both were incredible! Every component was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Honestly, one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. Would 10000% recommend!

14th September £100 total What’s in a name? The short answer is quite a lot. For reasons of happy personal circumstance it’s a question very much front of mind at the moment; I’ve been picking my way through the thorny thicket of negative onomastic association recently (a particular moniker forever reminding me of a particular Monica, for example) and contemplating the plausibility of nominative determinism (is a child with the name of an old lady destined to act like an old lady from birth?). So yes Bill, perhaps a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but that doesn’t mean that when Mich suggested dinner at Lost in the Lanes I was able to easily set aside my initial impression we’d be eating in a coffee shop. Because that’s what it sounds like it is. Even when I went online and looked at the menu and found evidence of proper cooking in the imaginative small plates there (see: salmon pastrami with gooseberry, samphire and peas), there was something inside me bracing itself for one of those ham and cheese toasties out of a plastic wrap. But I was quickly able to shed my slightly bizarre associative complex when we got there. Because it doesn’t look like a coffee shop - even though, mind-bendingly, it also is one - to the point I’m now wondering how I’d feel having a morning pastry in there. It looks modern and chic, with lots of open space, dried flowers and single bulbs on long wires hanging from wooden beams on the ceiling, a cut-out in the wall through to the kitchen - that kind of thing. And in the flesh the menu helped too, because there were about a million things on there I wanted to eat. We eschewed the large plates entirely, as much to save room for variety as any other reason, and before long there was no room for elbows on our little circular marble tabletop; in a bout of FOMO I kept calling the waitress back to add things to our order and rather than describe them all individually my overall reflection was this: sometimes sampling lots of little things can reflect worse on the standard of cooking than if we’d just gone olives-bread-starter-main. Comparison is, of course, the thief of joy, but when Mich and I are eating smorgasbords it’s absolutely in our nature to rank each dish against one another, and unavoidably there are those that don’t quite hit the spot as well as others. Negativity bias then perhaps leaves a feeling of lesser satisfaction than if the one big main had been served with the same quality as the average across a range of tasting plates. And there really was a range of quality in what we ate, I thought. The toursi tasted like the pickling process had sucked all the life and flavour out of the veg (and having figs in there was just weird), whereas the feta cigars and that first bite of bombette were perfect. There was a fair bit of middle-of-the-road stuff too. But then speaking of negativity bias, I ordered a cheesecake when I don’t usually order dessert, and… it just wasn’t one. It was a sort of chocolate mousse (with no mention of chocolate on the menu) layered on top of a bit of cream cheese, which I tried to scrape off and salvage, and no base. I left with that annoying feeling of unsatiated, unsatisfied fullness, and lost amongst that was any memory of the stuff Lost in the Lanes had done really well.

Lovely little breakfast spot in the Brighton Lanes. Reasonably priced as well. You may need to reserve as it gets busy on a Saturday morning!

Fantastic roasts! Great service and generous portions. Had the four meat roast and was so happy with it! Best of all four worlds!

I came here to watch the women's Euro finals after booking ahead. Unfortunately they only had one TV the other broke so the whole bar had to watch one TV. My table for three was just a small square bar style table with three stools. I knew this would not be adequate for three people to eat...but don't worry they solved this problem by closing the kitchen early so we were only able to have some chicken wings. They were really nice but with beer wine and wings on such a small table unfortunately we spilled the bottle of wine. The staff was great to clear away the mess but ultimately should have been given another bottle to replace the spilled one as the table was so tiny. I also had my assistance dog with me and she was constantly being hurt by people walking past, even though I had asked and stated we wanted to sit away from people. All in all of I just came for drinks it would have been good but the fact that's it's a restaurant too was a shame. I might come back on a normal evening - I know the finals is a big event and it might be better on a regular night. As such I'm struggling to give 3 stars.

Really cool bar with a good choice. We've been here a few times including at Christmas when they had the tastiest mulled wine with real cinnamon sticks. Delicious! Some may say it's a bit on the pricey side but I say you get what you pay for. Love this place and definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed a wonderful roast with my family on Sunday. Grate portions that left me full to the brim, I had the pork belly that was beautifully tender with a perfect piece of crackling on top. It's really nice to see free-range pork on the menu and it was the star of the show. The place was clean and modern with friendly and accommodating staff that were more than happy to welcome my 18 month old daughter. I'll be heading back soon to try the other roasts and see what dry aged beef is like.

Great gig, be aware that at concerts only 1 drink per person at a time because under 14s are allowed in. Security not great inside, there was a fight in the crowd for ages and they struggled to sort it.

SCAMMED by brunch! We book and paid for bottomless brunch in advance, even received a reminder email the day before. Arrived with one our party coming down from London only to be left very confused outside in the freezing cold! We had no communication at all to say it was cancelled or to reschedule. Still have no idea what's going on and tried calling the venue multiple times. We then called the mobile number on the confirmation email and were hung up on immediately. As far as I can see this is nothing but a scam and still promted on their website. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid at all costs. Reporting officially as fraudulent.

A bit old school! Lots of steps in and out (Basement), very dark but cosy.. name list on entry and Hand Stamp! It was my first time there and it was over the Mod weekend at Maze & Purple Hearts Concert so it might have been intended on taking us back to our old Disco/Club days - if so it succeeded! 😆👍

It's dark. It's sweaty. It's claustrophobic. It's absolutely perfect for a night of music and meeting new people. The staff were great, the bar well stocked as far as I could tell, I was drinking orange juice and soda. I travelled from the opposite end of the country in Lancashire. I wasn't disappointed

Epic! Went here for a day rave. The upstairs is large, consisting of a bar, small dance floor alot of tables and chairs. Downstairs leads to a club. It feels like you're absolutely away from reality and even though it was during the day it was pitched black in the basement. A great experience and I'd love to go back

Patterns absolutely made my birthday celebrations in late August! Poppy is frankly, a total legend, helped me out with an area and put together a drinks package for me even though it’s not something the venue usually offers. Went absolutely over and above to help me and our large group out with luggage storage and just generally be super accommodating. The bar team were all lovely too and handled the crazy busy bar really well during the event. Even the security were lush and when we came back to get our bags later in the night the new team couldn’t have been more helpful either. Huge shout outs to the team at Patterns - can’t wait to come back!

The supervisor/ manager that was on shift yesterday ruined mine and my whole group of friends night. Was rude and refusing to listen to customers or her colleagues. Honestly I don’t think we will ever come back because of the way we were treated yesterday. The drinks tasted like all the syrups had run out, we had ordered 5 vodka cranberry’s and they were all fizzy? This was the top bar.

Attended here today for a brunch for my friends 30th birthday and also for her husband's birthday. The whole experience was an absolute disaster and caused a very rubbish start to birthday celebrations. We turned up 10 minutes early and were more than happy to wait for our table to be ready but then by the time our brunch was ready to start our table still wasn't ready. This was simple because the other party on our table had overrun so therefore we had to sit outside a bit longer and lose out on our brunch start time. After waiting half an hour our table was finally ready but wasn't the table we were supposed to have and was too small so another table had to be added for our party to fit on. We started our brunch and things were going absolutely fine, the food arrived which was lovely although the chicken was fairly pink in a few places which put a few of us off eating it. We had another half hour or so left off our brunch time but we were approached by a waiter to inform us that due to a party hiring out the venue that we had to leave our table half an hour early, not just our table actually the whole venue. We weren't made aware that the manager double booked before we arrived, neither were we told when we sat down to start our brunch. What baffled me is how the manager of the venue didn't even approach us to tell us this bad news, he got the waiter to do it. This was because the manager doesn't like confrontation, I'm sorry but if you're a manager of a customer facing business then you should be able to take confrontation especially when you have messed up this badly. We got 50% off our bill as the manager thought this would be a good way to solve this whole mess up but it really isn't acceptable for the amount of stress the whole party got put through. Not once did the manager of the venue come and speak to our table, not once did he come and explain anything and not once did we get one single apology out of this which I think is absolutely disgusting for someone who is supposed to be a manager and running a venue.

We found the Redroaster just by the Theatre Royal. I can not eat wheat, gluten, dairy, or soya. I explained this to the first waitress, who found another waitress, We then waited 10 more minutes to get menus, as the waitress drifted past us with menus for other customers. We eventually got her attention & managed to order food after 20 minutes. I ordered the steak with salad, as this was about all I could eat safely, my son the chilli crab linguini with fries on the side. We got our "large" pepsis, which were less than half a pint. Mine was only just over half full, as I didn't want ice on a cold day. The food arrived, but the pepper sauce was in a metal ramakin on the plate, but it contained dairy. I did double-check & I couldn't have it. I had to ask for any dressing on the mixed leaves, no other salad with the steak. It was disappointing. I ordered a second drink. I watched 3 waitresses chatting for 10 minutes while I waited for my drink. I did catch the waitresses eye eventually & she gave me the look of oh, I forgot your drink. We had finished our food by the time it arrived. We paid the bill & got to the Theatre on time.

We were a group of 8 having Sunday brunch at Redroaster (side of the Dome) in Brighton before returning home. We had spent a fun weekend celebrating the lovely bride to be in our group. Brunch was the icing on the cake. The staff was uniformly polite, professional, and genuinely cheerful. The food was delicious and truly reasonably priced for the locale and quality of the ingredients. I had the hot fish wrap and it was something I would definitely come back and eat again!! According to a few of my fellow diners the Bloody Mary’s were very good, indeed. Great for a group. So relaxed. And no hassle paying individually. Highly recommend!

Had a solo brunch – the crab benedict (fresh crab, burnt butter brioche, mango, avocado, organic eggs, dill hollandaise) was tasty and well put together, and my oat latte was spot on. The space is bright, airy and welcoming, making it easy to feel comfortable whether you’re with family, friends, a partner or dining solo. Service was a little slow – only three staff on – but not a deal-breaker. Overall, a pleasant spot for brunch rather than a standout one.

Service was very quick, avo on toast was beautiful, so was my biscoff vegan coffee. Lovely staff- all 3 staff members I spoke to were so friendly- put the outdoor heating on for me and even pulled the windows up because they didn’t want me being cold. Great food and great staff- would definitely recommend!!

We went into North Laine today for a lovely Sunday roast and a drink- one of us had the roast beef and I had the nut roast, both of which were amazing! The bartender Edy was really helpful in talking us through all the menu options and they were very accommodating for a vegetarian diet. The food came very quickly and was a really good sized portion. The star of the show was the roast potatoes but all of the food was amazing and we had a really great time. A special thank you to the lovely manager Hattie who was absolutely wonderful. Booked this venue for a client retirement party and it was perfect for them. The staff were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The space is an open area at the back of the pub. We could have drawn curtains to make it more private but it was fine without doing so. They had put up signs for a private function and that was enough. Great choice of drinks too and we all enjoyed playing pool and catching up. The DJ even played some older banging tunes to reflect the age of the group!

Student bottomless brunch is a good price for what you get. The drinks are nice and they come out quick. Used my Blue light card to get some money off at the end. 👌 Would definitely recommend this place. 🌟

Went for some small bites to eat before a show as had been here before and enjoyed it previously but this time was not great tbh. I have been raving about their pornstar martinis for YEARS now as they used to be the best but now they’re so average it’s just like drinking tropical juice (and they’re tiny!). The food was OKAY but so expensive for what it was (I feel like it was reasonably priced last time I was here like 2 years ago… now it’s crazy!). We ordered through the table service and the food and drinks did arrive quickly so that’s good! But overall I wouldn’t choose to come back here, there are better options. Hopefully they improve as it used to be quite a good spot :/

I came here on a Tuesday early evening for dinner with a friend. The place was very quiet indeed which was nice as it meant that we could hear ourselves talk! The service was first class - attentive without being 'in your face'. As I had a voucher for a complimentary seasonal cocktail we both indulged in the Black Forest martini - absolutely delicious 😋 We had the courgette fritters to share and they were very light and crispy. I then had the Browns burger which was perfectly cooked and just the right size portion. Lovely skin-on fries and tomato relish, which I am guessing was home made. My friend had the roast cod which looked very good. A clean plate would say that it was indeed very good! After the meal we shared a large pot of fresh mint tea which was refreshing and made a change from the usual herbal teabags. There was no room for dessert. My only 'gripe' was the rocket and tomato salad that I had with the burger. Whilst it was fresh and tasty and a good portion, it was disappointing that the tomato was chunks of bog-standard salad tomato rather than perhaps cherry tomatoes or baby plum? At £4.50 it would have been nice to see something different/ better. A small moan in an otherwise perfect evening.

Our server Chrissie, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming and attentive. She made our experience which was otherwise underwhelming. We had squid to start which was overcooked leaving no squid left in the coating. We waited around an hour for mains. Steak then came out well seared but blue rather than rare. It did go back and came back more seared and still just as raw. Had a few lacklustre meals at Browns lately and won’t be back.

Browns is as usual a strange experience, sure of what it is and unsure of who I am while there. I ordered food which was both edible and eaten. The mango and champagne sorbet dessert was good so that ended my meal nicely. Unfortunately the food is mostly British style which leaves the restaurant struggling for qualities such as flavour and contrasting texture. The server was great and very helpful, the spider was also very friendly.

We came in after a bit of a chaotic morning and asked for an open spacious table and we where seated in almost a greenhouse, with plants and a high ceiling with sky lights it was beautiful. We had a starter of Courgette Fritters, which where great but I think the yogurt could have had mint it it rather than just scattered on top. For our mains we had the mango and feta salad which was such good value for money, we also had the fennel and orange salad which I cannot recommend enough! If your an adventurous eater please please try it! It’s maybe one of the tastiest most interesting things I’ve ever tasted! And the duck and watermelon salad which was tasty but the duck was hard. We love this place ended up staying most of the afternoon as the atmosphere was lovely! Our waiter was fantastic too, a lovely gentleman. Thank you!

And will definitely come back for more. I had a medium rare dry aged sirloin and it was so delicious and tender not rubbery at all. And the birthday dessert plates were so cute! The décor of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, with cozy tables with crisp white linens, pretty flowers, and a chandelier that makes the whole place glow. It feels classic but super inviting, like the perfect mix of fancy and comfortable.

A lovely spot for very classical seafood. The outside seating in the summer is excellent for people watching. The food was fresh, with simple flavours that let the quality shine. Our server Hannah struck the perfect balance of both friendly and professional. We will definitely be back!

We visited this lovely restaurant yesterday evening for our one year wedding anniversary, which was an absolute treat because it was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! The service was great. The food was so delicious and we loved the whole experience of the evening and we will definitely be returning next time we go to Brighton. thank you so much for the team for a lovely evening!🙌

Came to Brighton for a day trip. Was recommended this restaurant by a family member who had been before. Nice cosy old-school vibes. It was a sunny, warm summers day, so we sat outside. There was a range of dishes, but we went for the £27 for 2 course summer set menu, as it seemed a good value for money. I ordered raw rock oysters as starter. Got 3 fresh oysters which were fresh and juicy. Came nice and cold, with the mignonette and ponzu dressing. Delicious! Another person on the table ordered salt and pepper calamari and even though portion was small, with 3 large pieces of calamari, the taste was amazing and it was so fresh. The fish and chips were crispy and fish was flaky. Though again, could do with a few more chips. Tartare sauce was great! The mussels marinieres was exceptional. The sauce was extra creamy and goes well with chips. For the price of the set menu, its great value for money! Would highly recommend! There was bread that came to the table with delicious mackerel pate. But you will need to pay for a cover charge for this. Drinks menu was extensive. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend. Women’s toilet was up some narrow stairs at the top of the building.

The service was great and the environment was nice. We ordered the “ cold platter ” for two ( £52 per person), but the prawn wasn’t very fresh. Overall, still a pleasant experience.

Tucked away in The Lanes and within sight of the sea, English’s feels like the definition of Brighton on a plate. The restaurant occupies what were once fishermen’s cottages, dating back well over 400 years. Inside, crisp white linen and small roses on the tables bring a quiet elegance, while art deco artwork adds just the right amount of glamour. The menu balances tradition with a modern touch, and it shows in every dish. I had the mussels and fries alongside a few oysters. Simple, fresh, and done beautifully. What stood out even more was the service. Ashley made dining solo feel effortless, with just the right mix of attentiveness and warmth. For anyone craving seafood with character and history behind it, this spot is a gem.

'Serena' - Italian girl our waitress 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟was absolutely awesome, she is a credit to the establishment! If I owned my own restaurant I would poach her in an instant!! Amazing service and very attentive and even brought water for my dog-Thank you . Great humour! Can not rate her highly enough! Food was good too. Will definitely return and will try more on the menu next time. Stanley

I have ordered sea bass, it was amazing, compliments to the chef. However, service was slow at the time I visited, and there wasn't many people indoors, the outdoor tables were definitely served quicker. Dog friendly only outside and didn't offer a bowl of water for the dog :/ one waiter who seated me was in the hurry, so didn't feel welcomed and another waiter really nice , perhaps I stopped by at the shift change at ~5pm

What an extraordinary place! Along with Pinello and The Regency, it has become my favourite place in Brighton. A mysterious wood panelled restaurant and bar which also has a fabulous terrace upstairs. They have jazz music at night. I went for a Sunday roast lunch. The food is great: I got a huge chicken ( as big as a pterodactyl!) cooked to perfection, with loads of vegetables and duck fat potatoes. I asked for a mixed berry drink so got all my vitamins too. The place caters to all tastes, the service is extremely courteous and attentive and it’s good value to boot. What more could you ask for? I couldn’t go in the evening as it was my last day in Brighton and I had to pack. But I’m definitely coming back during my next visit.

It was pouring with rain so we fell into this place when looking for somewhere to eat. What a find! The food and ambience was spot on. I had fillet steak and my friend had cod, and we both agreed that the taste and quality of the food was exceptional. Candlelit with an arty elegance, this is definitely a beautiful place to come for a lovely evening meal.

Smart restaurant just off the Lanes. Lovely big widows that give an inside/outside feel if you’re sat by the pavement. Food was good and well presented, but not remarkable. Friendly service but a bit slow.

The food was a bit overpriced for the quantity as well as quality, we ordered the chicken satay and pan seared scallops as starters. The No 32 burger we got was nothing great for £13 BUT the cocktails were delicious (pina colada and a cosmopolitan) The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and the staff were top notch with their service.

The restaurant is huge !!! Must be great to have a party or family gathering here. We love the prawns and fried squid. However the bread I ordered was a bit burnt. The roast chicken my fried order was large portions, will suggest to share w two ppl. The fries was super good !!! Will come back for that fries again. And the bartenders looks rly cool, must try their cocktails next time 👍👍

We had a large table of 13 booked for a birthday, which we booked well in advanced and pre ordered all the food as requested. Considering the price point and the fact that all the food was pre ordered the experience we had was very disappointing. Upon arrival we were seated in the only section of the restaurant without functioning fans/air con. When we asked wait staff if the fans could be turned on they said they were broken but they could give us complimentary tap water and ice to keep us cool. We had about 4 different staff take drinks orders which considering the food had already been ordered one would imagine that only taking drinks orders would have been a breeze for the staff but service was slow and some of the drinks orders were incorrect. The plates from our starters had started to be cleared before some guests received their first drinks. The food aswell was mixed with some of the food being cold, specifically the lamb burgers, and the menu stated skinny fries and we all received chunky chips. The truffle fries were just the same chunky chips with some grated cheese and a small amount of truffle oil. The quality of the food didn’t match what they are charging. But the most disappointing thing was the atmosphere in general. The manager seemed nice on arrival but all the other staff we encountered seemed miserable and unhelpful like they did not want to be there and we just generally felt unwelcome.

The New Club is a laid-back all-day coffee house, diner, and bar located by the sea, offering beachfront views and a scrumptious array of breakfast options. Inspired by the coffee houses of New York and LA, it serves crowd-pleasing brunch classics like breakfast burgers and American-style pancakes.
We went to Brighton with our daughter son in law and granddaughter for a nice winter walk along the promenade, and our son in law pointed out how much he enjoys this place. We were definitely not disappointed. From when we entered, we loved it.. lovely attentive staff , plenty of tables inside and a beautiful menu. We had teas and coffees and ordered some brunch whilst our granddaughter had her nap. Wow... the photos don't do the food justice. I had chicken and waffles, the kids had breakfasts, and Grandad had pork and beans. Very reasonable considering the quality of the food and nice size portions. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

If i could do a half star, i would've given 3.5. Heard great things and was really looking forward to it. Left underwhelmed but full enough. There were 3 thin bits of meat on there that looked more like bits of ham. Was a bit sad, really, and was astonished that that would be their portion size. I'm sure it will come down to the price of beef these days. The flavour was OK, and the gravy was portioned controlled to not have enough. As soon as it came over, I asked for more geavy as it was obvious there wasn't enough and also no spare pot put in front of us to have more. The vege there was nothing wrong with it was tasty enough, the yourkshire pudding was a good consistency and tasty and the crackle thing was actually quite nice. Missus had the burger, which looked sad, and I'm assuming they make their own meat for the burger. Would've preferred if they used normal burgers bought from a shop with a bit more flavour and put more of a thin "cheese slice" piece of meat onto the bun. The chips were really good, though. All in all, an average meal at a slightly above average place and service, with a slightly below average look.I think they rely on the name other people give them from the past?

Stumbled upon The New Club on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated quickly without a booking and received excellent service. Really nice place - pleasantly surprised. It was rather quiet around 19h30 in the evening because it's vibe is mostly during the day, but it still had very nice music, a great layout and the food options were really good. Kind of what you'd expect from an American themed restaurant - tacos, steak, burgers, chicken wings etc. Still, their cauliflower popcorn starters were top notch. The chicken wings were juicy and super tasty - very reasonably priced as well. The pork tacos were a decent portion and really tasty. I had the steak and it was perfectly made - medium rare. Our waiter, Felix was also extremely friendly, helpful and even went out of his way to give us some pointers for what to see while in Brighton. Should be commended. Overall, a great place and I'll come again.

I visited this evening with 3 colleagues having been recommended by the information desk in the Brighton Centre while at conference. We hadn’t booked but we were lucky enough to get a table. We all ordered roast dinner, myself opting for the corn fed chicken roast dinner. What can I say, it was delicious, the best roast dinner I’ve had in a long time. The staff were lovely and helpful and there was such a relaxed atmosphere

The food is so good we ended up here 2 days in a row!! First thing: it's a fairly small space so make a reservation to avoid disappointment. My partner had a full English which he said was one the best he has ever had. I had the Mexican eggs and they were to DIE FOR!! Cooked to perfection, the flavours just everything. We then shared banana hazelnut pancakes which were out of this world and a perfect sweet treat. We had a watermelon and cherry cola cocktail which were also fantastic. The service was brilliant, quick and efficient and it was just fantastic brunch all round!!

We popped in today for a quick break from the rain and to get some cake and coffee. We were greeted by friendly staff. We was not rushed to place our order. I had a decaff flat White and it was delicious and very strong. Also had some blueberry cake and it was soft, moist and a large portion. Multiple toilets and plenty of seating. Very clean and a nice atmosphere.

This place is amazing. Loved the vibe, music, and most importantly the food. We were looking for the perfect place that served breakfast; cooked for me and vegan for my wife. After looking at several places, we found Kooks. We were served by the very friendly Glyn. What arrived was knock-out (see photos). My poached eggs were perfect. Real attention to detail with the cooking. And my wife’s yoghurt and granola was exactly what she craved, but there was also a vegan cooked breakfast option. Cannot recommend this place highly enough and we’ll be going back the next time we’re in Brighton. Love love love ❤️

Didn't want to leave a bad review but our experience was so poor. It took over 20 mins and a reminder to the staff for us to have our order taken. It then took over an hour for two sandwiches and some chips. Other tables who came in after us and having full fry ups got their food before us (it did take a long time for their food in fairness) We asked for an update after an hour and were told it would be another 5 minutes... 15 minutes later and it came. The table next to us were also kept waiting but were kept updated on their order and apologised to for the wait. We were just ignored. Went to pay and were just handed the card machine with the tip already added and I had to embarrassingly say it didn't seem reasonable to ask for a tip. We were told the kitchen is small and food does take some time. Might be worth telling people this on arrival as we wouldn't have stayed or even just keep us updated during the meal and apologise. Over an hour for two sandwiches seems insane. Not only no compensation but expecting a tip was disappointing. Added a picture of what we received

I visited Kooks recently and it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The “soup” I ordered was literally just canned tomatoes and it was very cluncky, no seasoning, no garlic, no flavor, definitely not what I’d call soup. It took about 15 minutes just to place our order after sitting down, and then another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally did, everything was cold and unappetizing. The Buddha bowl was bland and poorly made, and to make matters worse, there were flies buzzing around inside the restaurant. Overall, a truly disappointing experience. I won’t be coming back.

Such a fabulous cafe. We have been in twice both weekends of visiting Brighton. All of the staff are just lovely. Thank you Glyn, Dylan, the Mancunian (who’s lived in Brighton for 20years years!) and the guy behind the bar with the adopted white cat (thanks for sharing the cat adoption story!) coffees are delicious and the food is great. We had the cooked breakfast, avocado and egg breakfast and on a different occasion the salads for lunch. Everything delicious. Thanks we will be back. Oh and the cakes in the window look amazing! But we were too full to try those!

Dropped in here for lunch and it was really nice. The kids had a burger (they made this to my sons requirements with burger, bun and bacon only) and a club sandwich, and I had the BLT. There was lots of bacon and a good dollop of mayo on lovely fresh bread. The prices were pretty good for central Brighton and whilst shopfront is small it opens up in the back giving some good seating area. The staff were lovely and welcoming, particularly Anna who was our server. I would certainly go back and i recommend this as a great place to.drop by for lunch. (The cakes looked great as well 😁).

Lovely cafe with quite a varied but straightforward menu. Something for everyone. The service was a little slow getting drinks but once we'd asked they were quick to sort it. The tables outside are close together so it can feel a bit squished. We went on a Saturday morning and it was very busy. The food was lovely! Portions were generous and the quality was really good. The coffee was lovely. If you're a coffee snob, this would absolutely suit!

Visited for a coffee last year and had an amazing brew, revisiting Brighton with good friends and a serious coffee lover I thought I had knew the perfect place. We decided to stop for coffee and breakfast but sadly after a 15 minute wait the coffee finally arrived only just warm, breakfast then arrived another 15 minutes later and just as the coffee was the breakfast too had elements that were barely warm. There was seven of us and 4 of our party had breakfast with sausage, 3 out of the 4 of us left the sausage as it seemed to be not just on the cold side but also had the appearance that it hadn’t spent much time in the pan/oven. Could it just be a coincidence that the one of us that did eat the sausage ended up being violently sick that evening ? It’s not difficult to cook a sausage but as you can see from the photo the trading post do have some culinary learning to do.

I spent 3 days in Brighton recently and ended up eating breakfast here every morning. The coffee was outstanding! The food was great too. Over 3 mornings I tried the vegan rarebit, the plant-based granola bowl and the plant-based full English (minus the falafels & houmous as I didn't fancy that for breakfast). I also got a sandwich to take away - Korean BBQ mushrooms on foccacia. Everything was freshly made, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

Oeuf Café in Hove is a charming spot with a picturesque entrance on Third Avenue. The café is renowned for its lavish brunch offerings and delightful pastel-Parisian decor. Their menu features an array of delectable dishes, including perfectly poached eggs on fresh sourdough with various toppings, signature FrumpetsTM (French toast crumpets), classic brunch options, syrupy pancakes and waffles, as well as comforting porridge and bacon sandwiches.
This was my second visit to Oeuf, and just as last time it was absolutely phenomenal. We decided to chance a walk in on a Saturday, despite the garden being closed this weekend we were sat at a table on the terrace within 15 minutes of our arrival. All of the staff who greeted us were friendly, warm and welcoming. Our server, Pippa, was so patient, didn’t rush us to order despite the evident busyness of the restaurant. She also Took time to explain the components of each dish and was very aware of dietary requirements which made us feel very safe. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend Oeuf to anyone looking for a glamorous and accommodating brunch spot in Hove.

We chose Oeuf for brunch based on its great reputation, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The cafe has a beautiful, inviting atmosphere and the decorations are a nice touch. The staff were all so welcoming and attentive, and the brunch itself was absolutely delicious. The green smoothie was a definite highlight. If you want a more relaxed experience, I'd suggest booking your visit for after 1:30 PM to avoid the busiest rush.

I came to this cafe because it had a good rating and looked very cute. I ended up waiting for my order for more than an hour. Before that, I had discussed with the waitress that I don’t eat onion at all and asked her to make sure there would be none. She even joked that she doesn’t like onion either. But after an hour they brought me food completely covered in onions. Since I was already starving and hadn’t eaten anything that morning, I just gave up. I pushed the onion aside as best as I could, but the taste was still there and unpleasant. I also ordered tea, which they completely forgot to bring. So in the end, I just had my onion-flavored breakfast and left. And it wasn’t even that busy inside. So, if you don’t mind waiting, the place is really cute, cozy, and the staff is friendly. But if you’re really hungry, I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
Angelina P — Google review
Nestled in the heart of Brighton, Oeuf Cafe is a brunch lover's paradise that truly lives up to the hype. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy atmosphere and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The menu is a delightful mix of classic brunch staples and innovative creations, all made with locally sourced ingredients. What sets Oeuf apart is their attention to detail. Each dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The eggs are perfectly cooked, the pancakes are fluffy, and the avocado toast is elevated to an art form. Whether you're a fan of sweet or savory, there's something for everyone. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. While it can get busy during peak hours, the wait is well worth it. Oeuf Cafe is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a memorable brunch experience in Brighton.

Not only stylish and beautifully decorated, but genuinely well-made and delicious food as well. The cafe interior is great. The problem is we sat down to a dirty table that didn’t get cleaned, our coffee was not hot and took a long time to get to us by which time we had finished our food. We had our wedding party at Cafe Rust last year, and everything about it was fantastic! Nestled in the heart of Hove, Tapestry is a charming neighborhood bar that has quickly become a local favorite. With an impressive cocktail menu featuring classics like the Old Fashioned and Espresso Martini, it’s the ideal spot for any occasion—be it catching up with friends or enjoying a romantic evening. The inviting ambiance and stunning interiors make every visit feel special.
Tapestry is relatively new to Hove, and does a fabulous Sunday Roast. Our 4th time here, and it's consistently good with tender pork, a great selection of seasonal veg, including peppery swede mash, braised red cabbage (not vinegary, and not spiced like Christmas), roasted carrot, tenderstem brocolli & roasted red onion. The roast potatoes are perfect - crispy outside and fluffy inside, just as they should be! Topped off with an enormous home-made fluffy Yorkshire pud, and an extra jug of gravy. Cauliflower cheese is an extra, and the cauli still has a good bite to it, in a lovely creamy strong cheesy sauce. While the weather is good, it's nice to go alfresco in their comfy seating area. On not so nice days, the interior is plush and beautifully decorated, with a speakeasy vibe.

We enjoyed a delicious vegan roast—easily one of the best we've found in the Brighton & Hove area. (It just needed a few greens to round out the veggie side.) This is now one of my favourite places

Really done out very nicely. Cocktails are limited on the menu, but u can ask for others that you may know of. Most of the staff were lovely, but one acted like we were privileged to be in the bar ! ? Slightly off putting. Will try again soon.

Cool place, with a very wide selection of drinks and a good range of small and larger dishes. We shared the charcuterie board and a couple of drinks. I thought it would be overpriced given the location and the style, but actually it was very reasonable. I usually end up in pubs and tap-rooms, but this definitely made a nice change of scene!

Really enjoyed our visit to Tapestry. The food was delicious, the wine list had some great choices, and the service was friendly and efficient. We were lucky with the weather too, which made sitting outside even better. A lovely place for a relaxed meal — we’ll definitely be back.

We booked tapestry bar for my sister’s suprise 21st birthday and so glad we did! The interior is gorgeous and the team were super accommodating making sure we always had fresh glasses for the fizz and being there for any requests. I even asked if it was possible to play a specific type of music and they were more than happy to change it and then a great DJ played later in the night. Birthday girl was super happy and they didn’t even mind us playing a bingo challenge game! Thank you to Lizzy, Brandon and Henry you guys were amazing!!

Visiting my mum who lives nearby and we've been to Tapestry twice during my stay. We've decided to make it our new local when I come - lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff, great music, and just generally very relaxed and chilled. We will try the food next time but it all looks great. Big fan!

Really lovely meal - special celebration for us so we had the works. The food is fabulous quality, the service is exceptional, the drinks menu choices are vast and brilliant; including huge gin selection, wine selection and cocktails, also alcohol free choices of mocktails and more. You can taste the freshness of all the food, it really makes a difference. Our server Freddie was the perfect balance of attentive. When they heard we were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary they made a little fuss (see photo) which was so lovely and welcome. We were treated so well, literally faultless ❤️

My 10 year old daughter had the best party ever here this Sunday! Chris, Harley and Pablo made us feel so welcome and relaxed - they couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was a problem. Thank you! I highly recommend a kid’s party here. Communication with booking and follow up emails were quick and straightforward. I called this morning and spoke to someone on the phone who was equally helpful. Pizzas were devoured and the room was spotless. Thank you x

Felt like it needed abit of a refresh, the interior but we had a really fun 2 hours singing our hearts out. It was a birthday treat for my friend and he enjoyed it so much. We would definitely book a kareoke room there again! The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was nice that they let you get on with enjoying your experience without over doing the service. The button in the private room for drinks service was brilliant. You didn't have to go to the bar to get drinks. The toilets didn't have any handwash though. I tried a mock tail called Don't Worry Be Happy which was very tangy and citrus, very tasty 😋. 2hrs is plenty of time to sing and pack in as many of your fav songs 🎵 😊 Overall, it was an amazing experience!

The place is lovely, there's alot of space for parties of 10 to maybe 15 in the rooms. The rooms are very sound proof so no one can hear what you're singing. I highly recommend, the staff are super friendly, namely Jay and Shannon.

Ben, Shannon and Amy were amazing! So accommodating and friendly! Came in without a booking and couldn’t do enough to help us. Drinks were amazing, everything was explained to us in great detail and my son and nephew had the best time which is weird because I’d never have my nephew pegged as a karaoke person but he really enjoyed it. Thank you so much guys

We had a fantastic few hours of karaoke for my sister's hen party. All of the staff were really friendly and explained everything well. The song catalogue was excellent. Everyone a little nervous at first but by the end we were all stealing the mic off each other as everyone was mad to sing once they got over the embarrassment 🤣 The service when you press the 'THIRSTY' button is very prompt and we were kept topped up throughout the evening. Nice touch - a few of our party arrived late due to a delayed flight, and as they were closing soon anyway I assume nobody else was booked into our room. But they have us an extra half hour free of charge which was much appreciated!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Brighton, Apiary is a delightful newcomer to the cocktail scene that has quickly captured the attention of locals and visitors alike since its launch in 2024. This charming all-day bar and restaurant draws inspiration from bees and honey, creating an enchanting atmosphere that reflects their passion for these industrious creatures.
This place is an absolute gem! I always feel welcomed here, whether I’m stopping by for a quick breakfast on my own or bringing friends along for a little celebration. I must admit, I’ve never been a fan of honey, but every dish and drink I tried here had my taste buds dancing. The combination of different ingredients and textures works perfectly. And let’s not forget the amazing cocktails—they’re simply outstanding! Thank you for creating such a wonderful space. I truly hope you’ll remain a beloved part of Brighton for years to come!

Lovely place, really nicely decorated with a running bee theme. Alistair is very welcoming and clearly passionate about the bees, honey, and the patron experience. The food is delicious and the drinks even better. Would thoroughly recommend

Splendid service. Beautifully presented food of exceptional quality. Wonderful wines. The co-owner is a passionate beekeeper, which positively influences the menu. All-in-all, Apiary is the perfect tapas-style restaurant to fuel a day at the beach or, a night out.

My new favourite restaurant in Hove. Delicious dinner this evening, small plates ethos for sharing and trying out the menu. I loved every single plate but my favourite was the sea bass crudo and the honey toast for pudding 😋 🐝🍯 Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back soon.
Melanie H — Google review
Myself and my wife had a beautiful date day here, it was our first time to the venue and the service from Alistar and the team was second to none. The food can only be described as heavenly and when you look at the cocktails you can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into them completing the whole experience, we started with a non alcoholic option and I moved over to a well balanced Smokey margarita. We had the taster menu and managed to sample a lot of the dishes and were blown away by not only the flavour but the presentation. The chefs have really nailed the food in this place, congratulations to the team, this place is truly a hidden hive!
Matthew — Google review
I loved it here. As a solo dinner, some places make you feel awkward and out of place, but I felt as welcome as everyone else here, and the service was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was really nice. The food was delicious, with special mention to the Harissa chicken thigh. The absolute winner though, was the honey toast with pear and poached rhubarb and lemon ricotta. I don't say this lightly, it was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had. Good selection of alcoholic cocktails and non/low alcohol and they even have a non-alcoholic mead. I love that this place is bee themed, and the honey used comes from local beekeepers and is owned by beekeepers. I love bees, and its fantastic that they've created an over-arching bee themed restaurant with such wonderful honey based food. Would wholly recommend!

Bill's Brighton Restaurant is a charming chain eatery that prides itself on serving delicious meals crafted from locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Located in the vibrant city of Brighton, this establishment offers a diverse menu for breakfast, featuring options such as the hearty Bills Breakfast, smashed avocado on toast, indulgent granola sundaes, and delectable buttermilk pancakes. The owner's roots in nearby Lewes add to the restaurant's appeal and dedication to quality dining experiences.
Myself and my adult daughter came to Brighton for a few days very recently we were looking for somewhere to eat and when looking online bills caught our eye the menu was extensive and the place looked really nice. We booked for that evening and we are so glad that we did go the place is beautiful. The atmosphere is nice it’s Busy but not overwhelming and noisy. The menu is in my opinion very varied and extensive. They do some fantastic cocktails and I would recommend the raspberry jam on toast cocktail. It’s beautiful. The service is very Reasonably timed the staff are polite and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and I’d like to give a special shout out to James and Marco just for being great hosts. We will definitely visit again when we’re back.

Simply great! Popped in for breakfast on Saturday morning and it was brilliant! Soothing atmosphere, lovely music! The quality, the taste, the service! Tom made sure we had everything we needed. Very polite, smiley, checked on us few times as well. Very helpful when we asked how to book a Christmas meal too! Thank you!
Maria M — Google review
Bill’s beer was great—smooth and definitely one of the highlights. The Caesar salad was a letdown, though. The chicken had a burnt smell, and the overall taste was quite bland. There was no anchovy flavor at all, and I had to ask for extra dressing. The burger was tasty, but unfortunately, I found a strand of blonde hair in the last bite, which really spoiled the experience. The staff did offer a discount, which I appreciated. Be aware that there’s a 12.5% service charge. The service was minimal—they only brought the food to the table but didn’t pour or refill drinks. I hope this service charge is shared fairly among all staff and not just kept by the owner.

We came in for a friend’s birthday and the overall experience was quite lovely! We all ordered the bottomless pancakes and the variety was lovely, there were dubai chocolate, berries and cream, biscoff, streaky bacon and finally triple chocolate pancakes. My personal favourite was the berries and cream as the berries were quite tart and to my taste. Me and my friend also very much liked the coconut matcha latte! The service was lovely as well, very attentive. Our server Liam especially, he was very nice and our group enjoyed his service!
Athricha S — Google review
The service was outstanding, I felt very welcomed and catered to by Marya at the Brighton branch this morning. Went in for breakfast, the first employee greeted me warmly with a genuine smile and I was given options when seated, as a single diner this is always very welcome as you’re not made to feel like a burden that has to automatically take the smallest space available. I was made to feel like a valued customer and was checked on an appropriate amount without it feeling overwhelming. The other customers including a very large hen party, were all very polite, friendly and respectful- maybe the venue and atmosphere attracts and fosters these behaviours, I was very appreciative of this. The decor makes a big space cosy. The faculties are clean and easy to access. The food was good, the eggs were perfect the sourdough could have been better and the beans were once house made I think they must be tin now, but I appreciated the reduced sugar content. The tea and soya milk were perfect, now you’d think that should be easy enough everywhere but it’s not! All in all not the cheapest but I would say value for money and I’m happy to return for the service alone. Thank you for starting my day well.

I popped in for brunch and honestly, it was amazing! The Bottomless Berry Pancakes were the best I've ever had, and the Bills Brunch was just lovely and hit the spot. I left feeling really happy and can't wait to return!

The Black Lion is a cozy pub located near the seafront in Brighton, East Sussex. It offers a variety of live music nights and DJ sessions, making it a great spot for entertainment. It’s been a while since my trip, but the memories are still vivid, so I wanted to leave a review. The batter of the fish and chips was truly a masterpiece — light and crisp beyond imagination. Even after some time, it didn’t get soggy, and the fish stayed juicy and perfectly intact. The beer was fantastic, and the service was very friendly. Chilled cafe, with a lovely vibe. Food was delicious (we had Turkish Eggs and Coho breakfast) and service friendly and quick. Music on in the background, very much to my taste. We came back the next day as we had enjoyed it so much the first time. We had two breakfasts and two coffees and it came to £35.

I am very happy I visited coho and here are the reasons: The Staff was excellent, very kind and fast, 3 different members of staff helped us either by taking an order for the table or bringing extra water. Everyone simply kind. The food: It was great! I included pictures. Me and my gluttonous friends decided to get a dish for each and then an extra for the table as we all wanted to try the Coho French Toast. I am very happy with the food. The eggs had the perfect egg yolk (for me) and I know people can be tough to satisfy when it comes to it and the French toast was amazing. The menu has all the classic options for Brunch. There’s also a backyard that’s outside and we didn’t know about it until after we left but it looked beautiful for a sunny day! Highly recommend this place, especially for the great service. It’s opposite Hixon Green that despite having good food has awful service. I am very happy and can’t wait to go again!

In my efforts to try as many coffees in Brighton during my two days visit, had breakfast here. Loved the decor / style and outdoor terrace and menu choice but I have had much better coffee elsewhere (my flat white came in a way too big cup), and scrambled eggs were ok but a little too wet for my personal taste. Still, great service and location are worth stopping by for sure

Gorgeous aesthetics, calm yet upbeat funky atmosphere and most importantly great food with something catered for everyone Safe to say a new favourite place pricey but worth it definitely springs to mind perfect place for a date or a special occasion, booked up quickly and friendly staff. Nothing bad to say about it as it was very nice I was even recommend a better option from gentleman serving which I enjoyed a lot, even people cooking smiling and enjoying their jobs really nice atmosphere and a very enjoyable experience overall will return another evening, I even had my child and asked to use the restroom outside the front of the premises which they allowed at the time but when entering smelt the food and needed to sit down and try it and so glad I did. Such a lovely place! The interior is gorgeous and the garden is a little oasis (I would recommend sitting out there). The food was delicious- we got the eggs benedict with pulled pork, hashbrowns (a little overpriced for what it is) and schnitzel. Our waiter wasn’t good unfortunately although quite sweet. All other service was great! We ordered some coffees before food yet he only put through the coffee order once we ordered food so it took ages to come. We really had a good time though and would definitely recommend it!

Delicious brunch food with lovely, helpful staff! Lots of veggie options available alongside meat options. Bottomless brunch options also available for 1.5 hours at a time at £20 pp. We didn't try this, but it seems like a great deal for those wanting alcohol with food.

Not overly impressed. Coffee was cold. Only sparkling cold drinks available at breakfast time (ironic!), no juices. The bacon/sausagemeat roll was good. The rest of the food was weak and very overpriced. The younger staff were friendly and doing their best but the more senior staff were quite rude, as if it was a hassle serving us. Outdoor seats are very close to a busy bit of road with lots of vans. Overpriced.
Jo P — Google review
I’d give this place 3 and a half stars. I ordered organic scrambled eggs on sourdough with avocado and mushrooms. Scrambled eggs were a bit odd and not favourable. The rest was okay. Seemed expensive at £15.80 for the portion size. I was asked 3 times if food was ok. I couldn’t be bothered to say eggs were bland. Small space but cute. Staff were friendly. If the scramble eggs were improved it would be so much better.

Cute spot in the lanes for a hot drink and sweet treat. They had a selection of cake by the slice on offer, we enjoyed the lavender cake and almond orange cake. They have a selection of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating allows for some nice people watching.

Overpriced. The service was excellent but we had to ask extra shots because the coffee wasn't strong enough, the toast could have been toasted further and the knives were too blunt. Also, there is not much space inside. But the place is charming and it's a lovely atmosphere.

Really small restaurant, crowded and noise due to limited space. Food... Not impressed at all but not the worst either, if you have other options try something else.

I'm giving this coffee shop the minimum because of the quality and taste of the coffee v the cost. £9.50 for two coffee's (decaf which they charge for) really really unnecessarily and ludicrously unjustifiably expensive. A bottle of water sets you back £5. Come. On.The staff and customer service was good but not at those eye watering prices. Go to Knoops opposite.

Was seated very quickly and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I got a delicious vegan fried tofu burger that came with chips with the skin on. The burger was great, soft and nice vegan bun. The chips were alright, not my favourite in cut or flavour but decent.

Absolutely blown away! Last minute find as we randomly travelled to Brighton for the day with no plan! My favourite cafe was already closed by the time we decided to eat. So I hit Google and Moksha popped up! The menu was very inclusive of my group so we drove straight there! Absolutely beautiful, the food is spot on! Served hot, baked and cooked to perfect! The plant based options were delicious very very delicious! The flavours, mouth water, my meat eating friends absolutely devoured my plant based options aaannnnnddd the banana bread! Wow! Oh yeah and the hash browns! Love love love! This is a new Brighton! Lastly take a read of their story online it made the whole experience even more impressive x

First time trying Moksha after hearing only good things!! We were seated promptly by a friendly staff member, and we didn’t have to wait long to order. The menu here is extensive, and the Autumn specials sounded absolutely incredible - I chose the Eggs Benedict and a coconut matcha flat white, while my husband ordered Huevos Rancheros and a fresh carrot and turmeric juice. The matcha was really good - very flavoursome and excellently frothed coconut milk! The brunch itself left a little to be desired though - the amount of Hollandaise sauce was pretty stingy for a dish which prides itself on it, and the sauce itself lacked that delicious tangy richness that pairs so well with eggs and bacon. I added some of Moksha’s own hot sauce to make up for the flavour and lack of sauce - this was really tasty. The muffins seemed homemade and were absolutely delicious, but were slightly undercooked and doughy in the centre which was a shame. I couldn’t fault the eggs or bacon, both were cooked to perfection. On the flipside, my husband’s Huevos Rancheros was a complete success - the portion was so large he struggled to finish it and the flavours were spectacular, from the smoky chorizo to the crispy tortilla and mountain of fresh guacamole. He said it’s the best brunch he’s had in his life, so I think this was the better item to order!! The atmosphere is buzzy and welcoming, and the service is quick and friendly. I would happily return to Moksha to try a different brunch item or a burger (these looked unreal!) 😇✨

Lovely place! The black pudding and hash browns literally had me drooling over my boyfriends food- they were delicious and so was my egg’s royale. Highly recommend the big breakfast!

I have been to Moksha so many times that I've lost count. I've just continued to fail to leave a review, which I think it's important to do for small businesses - I got round to it eventually! The food is always consistent, fresh, hot and of course - extremely yummy. They have a very good variety of options on the menu too. Moksha is always very busy if you go on peak days and times (the weekend), you can guarantee you'll need to wait in a queue before getting seated. However, I've found that I'm never waiting more than 15 minutes for a table of 2-4. I would definitely recommend Moksha for a fresh, hot and tasty meal!

Great funky restaurant. Really enjoyed their Half Breakfast (served all day). As well as the freshly juiced apple juice. Staff were cheerful and helpful, and prices are reasonable. Sorry already started to eat before I took a picture :)

Moksha has become our go-to breakfast place every time we visit Brighton from London – and this visit marked our fourth over the past few years. What keeps drawing us back is the consistent standard of both the food and the service, which is no small feat. On this occasion, I had the Eggs Benedict, which were absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the Huevos Benedictos – a creative and flavourful twist on the classic. Moksha clearly takes pride in using high-quality ingredients; even the muffins used in their Benedict dishes are unique and far superior to the usual fare – we’ve never come across anything quite like them elsewhere. A particularly nice touch was the sprinkle of healthy seeds over the Benedict – an unexpected detail that worked beautifully. The bacon was perfectly balanced too – not overly salty, which is ideal for anyone mindful of their sodium intake. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. Moksha continues to be a standout breakfast spot in Brighton, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

Hands down my favourite sandwich spot in Brighton! Cute little spot in Kemptown, full of Brighton charm and always friendly service. All the sandwiches are cooked fresh to order and are always packed full so you’ll never leave hungry! My personal favourite is the Italian job, had it countless times and never get bored. But to be honest, you can’t go wrong with any of their offerings. I’ll always be a loyal customer :)

If you want a filing, fresh, yummy sando you’ll get it here. I had the Chicken CBA, partner had the Porchetta and we shared some fries. Both sandwiches were really good and the bread was perfect for holding the fillings. Porchetta had just a bit too much salsa verde but that’s down to preference. Fries were crispy and hot! Honey mayo a tasty dip. Friendly service…Would I go again. I would!….you should☺️

I had a wonderful experience at Social Board Brighton. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and the fast, friendly service made everything even better. We were lucky to be served by the owner himself, which added a special touch to our visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming—you truly feel at home! Congratulations to the chefs for the excellent food and the aromatic, flavorful coffee. Highly recommended!

Went to Social Board for the first time on Saturday between 12-1pm. No wait, plenty of tables available and service was quick, friendly and efficient. To eat I had a philly, basically sliced steak, mustard mayo, cress and something else. It was the amount of steak that surprised me! Its been a while since I came across a restaurant where the meat portions in a sandwich were this decent. Meat cooked perfectly, ciabatta was fresh and fluffy. Best steak sandwich ever! I also had an oat cappuccino which was really nice. Will be back definitely!

Social Board is MUST visit when coming to Brighton! I have been coming here for years and I visit every time I come to the city! There are two things that are amazing about this place: The first is the FOOD! Oh my goodness me, these sandwiches are incomparable to any other! All the different flavours on the menu sound amazing and taste even better. I've nearly tried them all - the breakfast sandwiches and CBA are my favourite (if I had to choose). The second thing, is the people. I have never been to such a friendly and welcoming eatery. Every time we visit we are welcomed, looked after and recieve great service. Most of time we sit in, but sometimes we get it to takeaway to enjoy down the beach. I recommend Social Board to anyone and everyone that I know who visit Brighton to go here!! Thank Team Social Board!!❤️🥪

Unfortunately, only 1 vegan option which was plant based breakfast. It was very nice, possibly best I've had in a long time! No fake meat or tinned baked beans, just lots of fresh and very tasty ingredients. Little on the expensive side but was quite classy, very new Kemptown

Nice friendly atmosphere. Delicious coffee, friendly staff. Seating could be comfier and often its limited. The food is tasty, quite rich as they cover toast in butter, but yummy non the less. The music is a little too quiet for me, as can barely be heard and the cutlery isn't good quality but all in all a pleasant experience.

The cafe has a lovely cosy atmosphere with enticing cakes displayed at the counter. Menu is varied and food well presented. Chicken schnitzel was tasty as was the ham hock hash that we ordered, although I did find the hash a little on the sweet side. Also the bun with the chicken was described as brioche, but it didn’t look or taste very brioche to me - see photo and make up your own mind. Friendly and efficient service. It’s a great place to stop off for brunch or for a coffee and cake.

Have been here a few times, always lovely service! Really kind staff and good vibes staff. Often quite busy on the weekend, but normally okay at finding a table on a weekday, there’s also additional seating downstairs which I’ve never used. Food is always really good, would recommend the hot chocolate! Really good private booth if you wanted to have a breakfast meeting too or catch up with friends. Dog friendly and staff seemed to enjoy having her in!

Amazing atmosphere! The entrance is small and easy to miss (on the ground floor), but the café itself is upstairs on the first floor. There’s also a lovely balcony with plenty of seating, overlooking a popular street, it’s a great spot to relax and people watch. The prices are very reasonable, and they serve tasty jacket potatoes, sandwiches, English breakfast, milkshakes, and more. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again, highly recommend!

My partner insisted we come here for brunch while in brighton, and raved about how great this place is & he was not wrong. The vibe/atmosphere was one of a kind, the menu had endless vegan & vegetarian options, the service was fast & the staff were friendly. Overall a very very tasty & fun experience! I got the savoury pancakes & added the avocado, my partner got the full vegan breakfast. This food didn’t even last 5 minutes, the server popped the plate down & we tucked right in! When we are back in Brighton, we will be coming to Kenny’s 🥞

Came here with a friend for a coffee & snack. Lovely atmosphere, great music, and friendly staff. Hygiene wise, however... just awful. The floors and the tables upstairs were terribly sticky. A pigeon flew inside through the balcony window, and nobody even cared. Made the experience very unpleasant, as I couldn't help but think about the state of the kitchen.

Came here on a whim, the service was really good with a very helpful member of staff. However the place was sticky and there was no air conditioning or any windows we could open, so it just smelled of drunk man’s armpit. The toilets could do with some cleaning aswell.

Great atmosphere but my god, truly the worst Guinness I think I've ever had in a pub.... watery, zero creamy-ness, bitter taste, just terrible. I'll let the picture do the talking, shame as I won't be coming back until this is fixed.

Friendly staff and great roast. Been here a few times for a drink, this time tried their roasts and I was impressed. The prices ranged up to £15 for the beef, plenty on non-meat options if that's your want and in general all very good value. The food itself was good, the beef was particularly tasty, veg was good but slightly firm, yorkshire was good size but not perfect and I'd have liked more gravy (it was very tasty). Overall I definitely recommend it here

Malmaison Brighton is a waterfront hotel located on the Brighton marina, offering vibrant rooms, a cocktail bar, and modern dining. The hotel was formerly known as Alias Hotel Seattle before being taken over by the Malmaison boutique collection of hotels. The brasserie features floor-to-ceiling glass frontage with stunning views and an outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. Guests can enjoy classic Mal dishes with French style and generous British portions, showcasing modern American and Asian influences.
I had a great two-night stay at Malmaison Brighton. The room was comfortable and perfect for a short visit. I really appreciated the eco-friendly option to skip housekeeping, especially since I didn’t need it—and the free drink at the bar was a thoughtful bonus. Friendly staff, stylish setting, and a smooth stay overall. There was enough nearby the hotel to keep me entertained for the short stay.

This hotel was very nice. The good: very comfortable bed, large plush towels, free drinks on days that you choose not to have the maid in (you can still get free towels/ supplies at reception). Nice pub lounge area with great views. The less good: We had a twin room, but weren't told at reception or when booking that this was also a disabled room. No view from our room, but we didn't mind. The decor is a bit naff though, and could use an upgrade. All the cabinets etc are in excellent condition, but the colours and decor are showing their age.

A lovely hotel in a lovely setting in the Marina. Very modern and has a really nice terrace overlooking the rear of the marina. Only issues were: lighting in ceiling didn't work (we reported it but were only there 1 night) and the duvet was dirty but it was changed immediately after we let them know. A great place and would come again.

A few issues with there cleaning team, for a 4 star hotel they just need to do a bit of retraining and a checker for maid service. Front of house staff very helpful and dealt with all issues quickly. Room size was great and beautiful views 👌 We will stay there again

Brilliant hotel for a weekend in Brighton. Good location near bars and restaurants, perfect for a relaxing weekend away. During our stay we were greeted by Ibrahim on arrival. He was very friendly and accommodating during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.

Have stayed a couple times as an emergency thing and have had parents stay multiple times while visiting me at uni. Very nice hotel, the room numbers all skip 13 which I find a lot funnier than it should be. Rooms are nice, one time there was black mould on my parent’s toilet, however staff at the desk were very apologetic and had a senior staff member resolve the issue immediately. The bar with a balcony looking over the marina is very scenic (but be careful of the seagulls), it’s been the same bartender each time I’ve been and he’s always been very friendly, will make conversation but isn’t pushy and is happy to make drinks that aren’t on the menu or will offer custom cocktails if you’re indecisive like I am. Overall, it’s a bit out of the way for Brighton but the quality is worth the short bus journey or taxi into the city
Will B — Google review
We stayed on Level 3, Room 321 (Club View) for a weekend getaway (£590 including breakfast). Overall, the experience was good, but it didn’t quite exceed my expectations. The main issue for me was the condition of the carpets. Just outside our room, the corridor carpet was quite worn with visible holes, which really let the impression down. Inside the room, there were noticeable marks on the carpet, possibly cigarette burns, near the balcony door by the lamp stand. The carpet itself showed signs of heavy wear in high-traffic areas. While the room was very clean (no complaints there), the tired flooring took away from the “feel-good” factor I was hoping for. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and attentive service for hot food. The staff throughout our stay were friendly, well-mannered, and very helpful, which was much appreciated. I travelled mostly to town by uber booking.. there and back a bus service if you so wanted is also available. Free Parking was appreciated and Level 6 gives you good access to the property. I did notice some kids dropping glass bottles on our last day from the top floor when exiting the car park so just be aware of this. ( not reported) as going home. My advice to the property manager would be to replace the carpets in both the rooms and corridor areas on levels 3 and also consider refreshing the exterior paintwork, which is starting to show signs of wear.. In my opinion makes it look a bit shabby in places and unloved. Small updates like these would really lift the overall experience to match the quality of service provided. My experience was good, but concerned this was in no way value due money at £590 due to the condition of hotel property.. with so many choice’s of hotels to stay in Brighton, I’m not sure I would recommend at this time..due to the work required to make it Luxury.

Perfect little hotel at the Brighton marina. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main pier that you can have a relaxing evening and get some sleep but still close enough you can walk or take the electric railway down every day. Very comfortable beds, excellent selection of channels on TV, great customer service. Only very very minor downside was that the AC is on a timer which made the room incredibly warm overnight but we also stayed during a heat wave, wouldn't be an issue during "normal" weather and you also need to recognize this is a hotel very focused on being environmentally friendly and saving on electricity. Would definitely stay again if we ever get back to Brighton!

Despite living round the corner, I'd never been to Caxton Arms, until I urgently found myself needing a place to host a 30th birthday party. I'm glad we booked a room and buffet here. The manager is open and friendly, the pub has a good atmosphere and nice outdoor space, and all the bar staff were great too. As for the buffet, which was fairly priced, one of the barmaids said it's better than food she's seen served at weddings. I don't eat much fish, but everyone who does loved the whitebait.

Lovely place to eat and drink. It is a shame barmaid deems it necessary to give out Euros in change rather than £ coins as I found when I got home. Reluctant to return now.
Anthony W — Google review
Lovely pub with a great outdoor area. They also have a function room, lots of drink options, delicious food including the Sunday roast! Spent many birthday evenings /days here. Service is excellent and the owners very friendly! A hidden gem!

Located in the heart of St. James's Street, Block Bar Brighton is a vibrant urban day club with pink decor and artwork featuring iconic figures like Freddie Mercury and Grace Jones. Inspired by the owners' travels, it combines Miami glamour with Ibiza DJ vibes, hosting regular afternoon parties. The venue offers frozen cocktails, a curated wine list, and elevated burgers and snacks to keep guests fueled throughout the day.
Second time here, always been a great experience. Alan in particular behind the bar knows his stuff. Always welcoming and accommodating. "All you can eat wings Wednesdays" I have been twice to this now, £20 a person. Freshly cooked wings, nice and crunchy coating paired with the 10 sauces and chips, goes really well! Something for everyone! Very filling and definitely the best fried chicken your find in Brighton! Paired with the cool beats being played and refreshing Coqtails makes it a cool venue for eats, beats and good times! Roll on summer so we can get out in the garden!

We had a great lunch at Coqblock today. Really great fried chicken burgers with a perfect crunch, and some genius cocktails courtesy of Alan. Thanks mate we'll be back soon. 😃👍

Love the rebrand! Very witty. Alan was delightful and shook us perfectly blended cocktails. The food was UNREAL highly recommend and definitely going back for more

We popped in to enjoy their garden. Ordered their hot honey margerita special. Very tasty. Live dj's were playing and food looked good.

Such a great bar - amazing in the summer (the best garden space in the centre of town). The team are super helpful, professional and good fun. The cocktails (especially the frozen margaritas) are lush! The food provided by Bok Shop is delicious. Music always on point! My favourite space in Brighton for pre drinks and later on a great party spot. They hire out free for parties which is fab! LGBTQ+ safe space ✨️

Amazing food, great ambience, and Alan behind the bar was friendly and made some great suggestions on what to order. Definitely recommended, I want to bring more people here!

This is the best bar in Brighton, especially in the garden when the sun is out. Delicious chicken and the bar staff are all super lovely. Definitely a must if you're in Brighton!

Cafe
Fika Hove is a beachfront spot that offers a perfect setting to recharge after a coastal stroll. Embracing the Swedish concept of Fika, it's more than just coffee and cake; it's about taking a moment to relax and socialize. Partnering with Backyard Coffee and Cracked Brighton, Fika serves indulgent breakfast buns and extravagant fried egg sandwiches.
Very good, large toasted spectacular sandwiches. Great flavour and fillings. Visually impressive. The coffee is good, so also the coffee mugs. It is very satisfying and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. The service is quick. Stylish interiors. There are not many tables inside (feels a bit crowded and stuffy), but the outside areas have good sitting options. If you have to wait a bit, It is definitely worth it. We will be back again! Highly recommend when you are in Hove.

It's a lovely place for breakfast, the fried chicken burger was tasty and you get a lot of chicken and extras so I'd say it's worth the £13.50. Gave 4 stars as I felt the hot chocolate could have been more creamy and chocolatey. Staff were very friendly and the interior has a nice vibe.

We had a great breakfast at FIKA, delicious food, friendly service and a really relaxed atmosphere. Our little one especially enjoyed their eggs!

Since I arrived in Brighton, I haven’t found a better café than Fika😍 I’ve tried several of their branches, and the staff were always genuinely friendly and kind. I really appreciate a café that values its customers, and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try.

Was walking past looking for a quick bite to eat. Menu looked interesting so we ordered one sandwich each. My one was amazing, it had salmon, egg, cream cheese, cheddar, in brioche bread! Forgot what my wife got but we took some pics. Príce was not bad. The food was served quickly. I would definitely come here again. 5*!
Paolo S — Google review
The food was excellent, great coffee but a bit hectic. FIKA is a really fun experience. It's buzzing and loud, filled with cool people and stylish interiors. The food is visually impressive, big dirty stacks of delicious chicken and bacon. It took a bit of hovering to get a table, and we shared with a family of four. Don't let that put you off, just get there early.

We visited for the first time today and were very disappointed. The venue is not neurodivergent-friendly, and some staff members appeared unaware of hidden disabilities. For example, when my autistic 9-year-old son, who has a language disorder, asked for a straw, he was pointedly told to say “please" from the member of staff who was not serving us and standing on the back far from till. This could easily have triggered a meltdown and self-harm as it is hard for him to express himself due to his disabilities. The environment was also overwhelming: loud music, strong food smells, and sensory overload made it difficult even to hear staff bringing orders. On arrival, we also helped an elderly lady get inside because she didn’t realise the place was already open – it was very cold and windy outside at around 9 a.m. On our way out, both my son and I said “thank you,” but the staff didn’t pay any attention or respond. This came across as very unprofessional and dismissive. The only positive was that the pastry tasted nice, though it wasn’t fresh. Unfortunately, this experience has put us off returning.

Chocolate heaven with great vibes in Brighton! ☕🍫 Apr 2025 • Group of Friends We visited Knoops in Brighton – just me and four friends – and we had a wonderful experience. Good Points: • We ordered 2 hot chocolates, an Americano, and an espresso – all tasted amazing, especially with their Brazilian beans ☕ • The place has a modern and cozy décor – really inviting and stylish ✨ • One of my friends even bought a box of their signature dark hot chocolate mix – it’s that good! • Staff were polite and quick, and the whole atmosphere felt smooth and relaxed Verdict: Highly recommended café if you love quality chocolate drinks and a calm, stylish place to enjoy them

It is a perfect place for getting hot chocolate or chocolate smoothie. There are many different option on the menu, will suggest people afraid bitter chocolate try the milk chocolate section on the menu. The marshmallow from this place is really nice to go with the chocolate and looks very cute. There are a few indoor and out door seats here but not so many, it’s a mainly take away shop. The hot chocolate powder and gift sections is adorable, many different packages in different season. Must be perfect souvenir to bring home and share with friends.

Definitely one of the best hot chocolates I’ve had. Nice and creamy, I had the dark chocolate version and it was perfectly balanced. Very nicely laid out options on the chocolate grading and efficient service experience. Limited seating space

Best place to get hot chocolate and milkshakes in town! I've been coming here for years and love it. The staff and service are great and there's so much choice on the menu. My favourite drink spot in town.

Quite probably the nicest hot chocolate & Mocha I’ve had in the UK I particularly liked the format of ordering; being able to choose the Cocoa Percentage is a great idea. I’m especially fond of Dark Chocolate and have spent some time getting to know the differences in cocoa content as well as the geographical location of said bean! It really does make a difference. And being given the choice really does add to the experience. Bravo Knoops!

Nice place to go. The hot chocolate drink taste really nice. Second knoops shop I been to. Do recommend it to people

The best hot chocolate in the world, ever. The only way it could be better is if I had my own private store in my garden! I need the owner to teach me to make hot chocolate the way they do and then life would be complete!
