Awesome hotel, highly recommended if you want to enjoy a beautiful and calm beach, food and staff are amazing, rooms super clean. Just a slightly suggestion would be to put something in the floor outside the rooms on first floor because if it rains it becomes super slippery, my dad slipped and almost got injured. But overall great experience, will come back!

I do not think there are enough amazing things to say about this hotel. It truly deserves its own post, but I will keep it short. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with lemon ginger shots and a cold towel to wipe away sweat and cool off. The staff—whether at the front desk, bell services, maintenance, or housekeeping—were exceptionally friendly. If you are from the United States, as I am, you may immediately notice just how friendly everyone is. If you know, you know. The facilities were outstanding. Our room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and restocked daily with towels and bottled water. Room service was excellent, and although we are not messy people, it was wonderful to return each day to a freshly cleaned room. The gym was exceptional. It was recently renovated, and most, if not all, of the equipment was high-quality Technogym brand. There were many machines, including a Smith machine for squats and other weight training exercises. The snorkeling and view from the hotel room were absolutely incredible. The environment was peaceful and quiet—perfect for anyone looking to unwind and relax. We ate at one of the hotel restaurants only once because we wanted to explore local dining. However, the two meals we did enjoy there—beef tacos on the second day and pizza on the last night—were delicious.

Incredible place, as good as the best of Maldives or French Polynesia with a much more accessible location from the US. First, the beach is perfect. Very calm, warm, with an accessible reef that is teeming with marine life. Snorkeling is amazing from the shore (near the main restuarant and dive center). Food is world class, especially from main restuarant and Faro Blanco. Lobster tacos are the best tacos I've ever had! Service is top notch everywhere and the overall atmosphere is romantic and peaceful. Snorkeling in the warm calm waters during sunset was just magical.

I simply cannot express how awesome this hotel is in every way. Rooms and facilities are mint and tasteful. exceptional location for family snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming. 4 restaurants to choose from. Amazing sunsets and warm smiles from helpful staff all the time. I managed to get my 10 year old daughter scuba diving with hotel dive master Krishna who were very good with kids a bit hesitant to dive. Warm regards to front desk staff Christine and Erick who both went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I cannot recommend this place enough. Very impressed.

Ohh, so much to say ! 1- Great Great location, 20 min from airport, no wasted time in long trips and traffic 2- Amazing lagoon for swimming, many places to change environments , beach sand, vs beach rocks, vs pool 3- super well equipped Gym ! For those who care - very good technogym equipment 4- service and stuff well involved and very supportive ! Its all about the details - and going tge extra mile ( for example - i hate getting coffee in plastic cups- next to the pool glass is not allowed, which is logical, there are kids jumping etc , yet they were more than happy not to pour the drink from a paper cup but to prepare another expresso ! That says Alot ! 5- good selection of restaurant food dishes , seafood, meat, vegetarian, i dislike the all inclusive systems in hotels and consider it unsustainable for the environment, so they have a choice ! Appreciated tat alot 6- Not Big ! And i will stress that one alot ! Usualy hotels in the area are massive , you need literally a car to drive to your room, this one felt much more curated, Cousy and accommodating, 7- rooms are great Specialy if you get the ones which are little more upgraded, 8- price wise i felt the rooms could be better ( of we talk about the more upgraded ones) 9- Dog friendly ! And thats super super Big + Whats is missing : -rooms could be fancier, having more cool elements inside ( at least the upgraded ones ) for that price you can definitely add small memorable things - Coffe ! Hospitality is moving to accommodate more unique experinces, it takes Nothing to have more specialized Barista ! - Balance the offer and experiences not only for Families but also for Solo travelers

Love, love, LOVE this resort. Have been here three times within the last 3 years. Service is always great. We got married here in June. Azalea was incredibly easy to work with and had our full trust. Everything worked out perfectly. This place has earned a permanent place in my heart. Can’t wait to return again!!

Overall experience was okay, but I wouldn’t say this was the best resort. The activities were lackluster and the food was not all that great. There wasn’t a whole lot of entertainment or things to do. The most frustrating part was the online menus not lining up with the actual services or food provided. I wanted to do some things at the spa that were online but not actually provided. The activities are scheduled for you even though there are different times and activities you can do. The front desk won’t tell you this, but the activity guide will. Overall, it wasn’t an unpleasant experience, I just wouldn’t come again.

Simply put - don't spend time or money at this resort. The staff does not care about you, and will only chat with you to eventually try to sell you on some timeshare at the resort. If you experience any inconvenience, they suddenly do not care about you. The food is extremely mediocre, the best meal I had was at the airport on the way there. All 3 reservation only restaurants had amateur levels of cooking that reflected in each meal we had. House keepers stole expensive jewelry from our room and we have a photo to back it up. Upon check out, there was no way to exit the resort due to a race blocking the only road in. This was not communicated to us until we were checking out, despite even talking with staff 2 hrs prior to check out, causing us to be late to the airport after having to walk over a mile in the rain past the race course to get to the nearest taxi. This could have easily been conveyed to us ahead of time if they cared about us at any level above a potential business deal. Cozumel is great, but do not stay here, your money is better spent anywhere else on the island.

Great location for an all inclusive hotel on the island of cozumel. Lovely access to the sea, 2 pools and diverse choice of restaurants due to explorean guests having access to fiesta Americana services. The weakest bit of the explorean is the rooms. Our room had a smell of damp, which was clear because nothing ever dried during our stay (swimwear etc). A daily experience is included in your stay. They are hit and miss. The snorkeling - great fun. However some not so much, you also have to have a lot of patience as with group excursions there's a lot of faffing... We were happy to look past it as so many other elements were great. You never had to fight for a sunbed by the sea of the fiesta Americana pool, however the explorean didn't have enough beds available.

This is a chill, set back in the jungle, type of resort. There isn’t much to do and the food offered wasn’t that great. There was not room service if you stay at The Explorean. Everything closes at 10:30, so hopefully you’re not hungry late. There is also not TVs in the room. We were pretty bored. If you’re young, 20-30, I wouldn’t think this is a place for you. I think we just expected more because of other resorts we’ve gone to… and we’ve gone to a lot.

The hotel is a haven of peace and tranquility in Cozumel. The attentive service from all staff is further enhanced by those responsible for activities and excursions. The food at the restaurant is good, unpretentious, and features some local touches. Every morning, a basket with bread, coffee, and juice is left at the room door, and there's also a refrigerator that's restocked daily.

This was our first time at The Explorean, but we’re already planning on making it a tradition. This experience was amazing! I had chosen the hotel because of the way it’s set back a little more in the jungle. Very kind, very helpful staff. I really enjoyed the (included in your bill, not extra)excursions they took us on. Ernesto and Armando were wonderful. Nice pool, access to several restaurants, EXCELLENT FOOD. I’m definitely going back.

What a beautiful place to stay😍😍 plenty of things to do and everyone there was so friendly. Food and drinks were amazing, fun activities for friends and family, live entertainment events every night!!!! I’d like to personally shout out a few staff members who went above and beyond to care for us during our stay. First is William, he was the first one to greet us upon arriving with such kindness and warm welcome, he helped us out planning activities to do and was always there for us when we had any questions. Then there was Luis who was our fitness instructor for the week! He is so incredibly kind and did an awesome job coaching us through the classes (core and cross fit classes!) Then there is Miguel at the all you can eat buffet, he was on his game! He always had a smile on his face and incredibly helpful to provide us with anything that we needed. Finally, Giovanni, at the open bar was so amazing and made the best Mexican candy shots! I’ll definitely be telling many people about my stay and I recommend anyone to go to Cozumel Palace!!! If you are looking for a fabulous dive hotel, this is the one. Very close to the airport, as well as all the mid and southern reefs. Many dive companies pick up on the pier at the hotel. The culinary experience was wonderful, and the service was great at all of the restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Mexican themed restaurant. Very close to downtown (within walking distance) and felt very safe around the area. Our room was spacious. We had one issue with the shower and it was fixed immediately. The entertainment was a cherry - some of it was actually pretty good for not really expecting to be entertained. The pools were fairly quiet and for the all inclusive part, they did not skimp. Not really a beach, and somewhat turbulent water to swim in, but a great viewing area that you can see across to the mainland. Did not have any bad service whatsoever. I can't remember all the names to give shout outs to, but I remember that Luis in the workout area was very nice and a good representative of the type of customer service that they provided. The only negative is that they pressure a little at the end to sign up with them for your next vacation. It actually looked like a pretty good deal, but just felt a tad pushy. We would definitely go back and recommend.

We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts in the greater Quintana Roo area, but our one night stay at palace was our favorite. They have a fantastic team here. Shout out to Luis, Dora, Oswald, Duran, Jose, and the team for making our stay extra special. They had a great free snorkel rental and some of their dishes we tried were what memories are made of. This was our first time ever staying at a palace resort, and we can say for sure that Palace Cozumel is a must if you are in the area! The team here went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and our hearts overflowed with joy as a result. And their in-room tubs? Luxurious!

We came here for a day from the ferry. Since we were staying at Playacar Palace the gave us a complementary room. However it was only for an hour from 5 pm to 6 pm. The service is good but the nearby coral reef seems dangerous. There are warnings about fire coral and not to stray from the buoy lines. The waves are also really big. Otherwise I recommend going to Flamingos. The kebabs are delicious although a little too salty. Every other thing was perfect.

It is much smaller than some of the other properties in this chain. However the food, and service more than makes up for it. There were daily activities in the pool area for kids and adults alike. We were a group of three families and all of us thoroughly enjoyed. Everything is close by, but honestly you don’t even need to leave the property.

One of our favorite vacays so far. The water is absolutely beautiful right off the resort, Great for snorkeling or scuba diving. Food, service and ambiance, amazing as always with all the Moon Palaces we've been to.

Loved it here. Everyone was so nice. Loved that we could swim directly in the ocean without getting all sandy. Icing on the cake was the free snorkeling gear, life jackets and kayaks!

Stayed four nights. Very clean resort. Rooms were comfortable. Service was fantastic. Spa & Gym were excellent. Food & drinks were awful. It baffles me at an all inclusive in Mexico it's impossible to find simple tacos & guacamole for lunch on the beach. Blaring music at the pool all day and night - some points completely missed the mark.

The property is clean. It is dated. Needs a remodel. The rooms are huge. Basically two bedrooms. Two full baths. The service was good. The reason I gave it three stars is because it’s an all inclusive, and I went to the bar at 9:30 by the pool, not in the pool but by the pool and wanted to get a mimosa. Seems normal champagne and orange juice. Bar doesn’t open until noon. So that’s why they got three stars. The location was gorgeous. Not a great beach there but easy to get in the waterwith the stairs and such.

American Airlines put me up there two weeks back after a big delay in my outgoing flight. Great looking hotel. Room service pizza was really awful. I think they should remove from menu. Like eating a microwave Celeste personal pizza, best. I also could not get hot or even warm shower water. Love to consider this hotel for future, but the cold water issue is a show stopper.

We just spent 5 nights at the Fiesta Americana Cozumel and were ultimately not impressed, especially when compared to other all inclusive resorts we’ve stayed in. We expected a 4 star hotel experience and what we got was not that. As soon as we checked in the employees were trying to sell a timeshare presentation to us. They kept bothering us a couple days about it, which really put a damper on the start of our trip and cheapened the experience. Our room was supposed to be ready at 3, and when we went to check in we were told to give them 15 minutes and it’ll be ready. That wasn’t very comforting - it felt like somebody was just going to clean up in 15 minutes. When we got to the room there was trash not picked up. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool. The plunge pool was very nice, however the room was not so nice. The showers had horrible water pressure and you can’t use both showers at once or else one will have cold water only. There were broken tiles in the shower and the shower door would get stuck. Also, you couldn’t close one of the bathroom doors all the way. The room was always very humid and everything felt damp. However, the A/C did work well. It just isn’t a room you’d expect at a 4 star hotel. We also didn’t get housekeeping one day and had to request it. The room also smelled not great. The beds are firm. The pool and over water lounges were really nice. The pool has had the broken tile issue fixed, for anyone reading through reviews and wondering. The food is not very good here, and there aren’t many options. The buffet is small and only offered for breakfast and lunch. They advertise multiple restaurants for dinner but they rotate them so there are 2 restaurants each night and they are all in the same space that looks like a hallway and is way too warm. You have to make a reservation or else you have to get room service for dinner. All of the employees are extremely kind, and the nightly entertainment was good. Other than the nightly entertainment though there is not much to do other than sunbathe/swim. Bars don’t open until 11, and they close at 10:30. If you do stay here and want to go on a snorkeling excursion, I recommend the money bar snorkeling tour as it is just an 8 minute walk from the hotel. It was great! Overall, we’re giving it 2 stars because the staff, the main pool, the plunge pool, and the shows. Otherwise it’d be a 1. I recommend staying elsewhere, unfortunately. It’s just not worth the money we spent on it.

Our stay went very well. We stayed for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife told me to give 3.5 stars, and I give it a 3.8 out of 5. The only reason we are not giving it 5 stars is because the food is not that great. For example, the ribeye steak from El Mexicano was the worst I've ever had. My friend got sick from it, and I ate one bite and immediately spit it in a napkin. The tacos from the El Mexicano restaurant were really good, though. The pizza from the Italian restaurant is not very good and the breakfast had a lot of options but wasn't great. There was bacon around less than a quarter of the time, but they do have a lot of fresh fruit and juices. No alcohol is served until 11 am. I recommend getting coffee from the gameroom area by the large pool because it's made from a nice cappuccino machine, and you can also get a quick ham sandwich from there as well. We did pay for a nice steak and lobster dinner that was really good. Our room was actually pretty nice and was cleaned well every day. A huge plus to me was that the snorkeling directly in front of the resort was even better than I thought it would be! Great staff and gorgeous views. Arturo was my favorite staff member due to being very friendly and accommodating. Overall, the price was very reasonable for the accommodations provided. 🏖

Water was leaking from ceiling when it rained. Water flow from shower was so slow. There was a huge ant infestation that was present throughout our entire stay. The first day wee were given pastries as a gift upon our first arrival, and was surrounded entirely by ants everywhere in large quantities. We immediately called room service to put a stop to it, and we were given a can of bug spray that was almost empty. The days after we had ants all over the floors at random places in time. They were from the floor, to behind the bed frame, or sink. It was uncomfortable knowing that each time I set foot in the room, ants could be near or on you when you're sleeping. It ruined the enjoyment of the rooms. This is beyond disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE. It needs to be addressed immediately so other guests do not have this type of problem.

We loved our experience at Fiesta Americana. There were 5 of us, a couple at 50, a 16 and 15 year old, as well as a 79 year old abuela. Everyone has their own space and full restroom, and tv. The food was delicious and we throughly enjoyed the entertainment. Thank you for the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever enjoyed.

This hotel exceeded every expectation! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The property is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a perfect vacation. The amenities are outstanding - fresh water stations throughout the property, 2 excellent restaurants, 2 gorgeous pools, and best of all, your own private bay for snorkeling! The tropical fish were everywhere and the variety of colorful marine life was breathtaking. They even have a floating platform in the middle of the ocean where you can jump off or just relax and soak up the sun. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, featuring fresh coffee, an abundance of fresh fruit, and an incredible selection of fresh-squeezed and blended juices. You can taste the quality and freshness in everything they serve. This is hands down one of my favorite hotels - not just in Cozumel, but anywhere I've ever stayed! The combination of stunning natural beauty, excellent facilities, and top-notch service makes this place truly special. I can't recommend Hotel B Cozumel enough! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tropical paradise experience!

Best hospitality I've experienced hands down. Shout out to concierge David and Miguel. Any questions, they were on point with helping out. Great location. It's a quick taxi to downtown San Miguel. We stayed at the adults only B unique, but the two hotels are connected. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about anything you might need or want to do on the island. There are a couple restaurants. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. They have yoga and pilates in an absolutely beautiful location. There is no sand beach, but multiple entry points into the ocean with stairs and ladders. There is a swim platform anchored off shore and excellent snorkeling. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back.

A morning/afternoon day visit… beautifully relaxing. Attentive food and beverage service from Omar and the rest of the staff. Absolutely gorgeous environment, sparkling pools, a perfect mix of indoor/outdoor spaces. A true oasis. I enjoyed the quiet “adult only” vibe. A very zen experience with friends.

If you are looking for a good experience, avoid this place. The location is good but rooms are smelly (had to change room), the hotel has a dive shop but the hotel and its staff do not accommodate divers (no washing tank for your gears so they tell you to do it in the pool but then other staff tell you to stop it). While the restaurants are good, there is very little choice, especially for the kids and it is quite expensive. Overall, I recommend you go somewhere else.

The hotel is located in a privileged location, with infinite border pool to the sea below. Spa is built within a reef rock formation, everything in harmony with nature for complete relaxation. The rooms with sea view offer an amazing scenario, and jaw dropping sunset from the balcony, even from the confort of the bed. Decoration is ocean/sea themed, mattress is king size and confortable. Clean bed clothing and towels. MARIBELA was our made, and she did an absolutely amazing job organizing and cleaning the room, with a plus: she left natural flowers in the bed everyday, so lovely! The included breakfast comprised of a choice of some natural juices (pineapple +mint was the best), whole wheat bread, butter and guava jelly, a bowel of cut fruits and eggs with 2 choice of sides. The menu at Looch rest seemed to be great, unfortunaly, we didnt make time to have dinner over there. Staff are amazingly friendly, pools and lounges are plenty and clean. Prices on drinks are reasonable!

I was trying to inquire about Hotel B for my wedding venue, but they didn't respond from the contact form from me or my fiance, or even from 3rd party contact forms. After calling and getting the number of the wedding planner and going through a whole week of extremely slow responses and repeating the same info (being asked multiple times about the date and time when I gave that info in the first message), I decided to just go with other venues simply because of the poor customer service. Otherwise the hotel looks fine, just stay away if you're looking to plan an event there.

We've been here a few days so far and the service is great taxis are pretty much always nearby if you want to go into town to shop or explore. There's a pool for just adults that has a bar in it which is nice, as well as a family pool. The only downside is that the towel area near the adult pool, which I guess is supposed to be for upgraded members is almost always out of towels so you have to go all the way to the family pool to get towels [towels have been stocked you guys work fast thank you]. Most of the food has been great, there's a couple things I didn't like but there are plenty of options to choose from at the buffet so you can make sure you find something you'll like. If you upgrade there's also a room you can get to with better coffee, plus it's nice to have a room on the bottom floor in front of the beach.

To start the service was exceptional. Every employee was friendly and went above and beyond during my stay. The beach is nice as well as the amenities. You can see those in the pictures so I won’t go into detail. I would have given it five stars but when it rains the property is slippery. Both my friend and I fell after slipping. That being said I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We came to the Melia for the day on a pass as we were on a cruise. Fernando gave us a tour of the rooms and they are beautiful. The resort is laid out so nicely with adults area in one section and family friendly in another. There were plenty of food options, and the food truck was delicious! It is the last resort on the northern tip so it is quite and away from the ports. A great place to stay with or without the family.

Do your research before booking here!! As someone who travels Mexico 4-6 times per year I would not stay here again if it were free. In closing now that I’ve been here 5 days I can say with 100% certainty that I will not return nor will I recommend friends and family here. It’s is now 7:30 am and I can’t get a cup of coffee anywhere. The manager made claim that he’s fixing our stay. Lol. Offered some kind of food. We are the buffet 1 time here and since then left to go eat every meal in town. Buffet hear is like a Golden Corral in the states. Bartenders deserve a raise they are the happiest nicest people here which is what you expect in Mexico culture. I’ve never in over 20 years traveling around Mexico had maids and other staff members walk past with head down and not say a word. This place was probably very nice 20 years ago and is in a GREAT location but the management is struggling very bad. The more I’ve been here the worse it gets. Some staff are great!! But in Cabo, San Jose, Le pez, Todos Santos, Cancun, Playa, Mexico City and other places the staff say hello and smile in passing. Not here they ignore you. The response from resort that they are working with me false. The offered another meal, no thinks. We rented a car spent time all over the island with was great.This resort was expensive place to rest as we ate here once. Definitely with not be back here for sure. Can’t wait to get out of here and head to Cabo San Lucas where they are truly proud to see you. Cozumel is great even when Mother Nature gets in the way but the leadership and management need lots of work here and I hope it improves. I made a review to notify other travelers of my experience as I travel often. What happened blows my mind. Went to my room and key did not work. They actually turned my key off because of the review. I had to walk across resort to front desk, wait on manager for him to make an offer for better breakfast. I did not make review to get something for free as I don’t do that. I run my own business and deal with those people. But after this happened I will for sure never come back here. Save your money and stay at playa azul just down the street. They are very friendly and accommodating. I travel a lot all over Mexico( been traveled by Mexico 22 years) Been here 2 days and so far worst place I’ve stayed. I understand 100% that Mother Nature happens and beach not great. When beach is bad step up your game with helping people. Getting service is incredibly difficult, bars don’t open in time and close before time. Beds are terribly bouncy and uncomfortable. The breakfast option literally worst I’ve seen around. 1 person to make omelets for 50 people. Won’t be coming back here and assume for the rest of my stay I’ll go to town and buy my own food and drinks. Today last full day and we’ll be driving to town to enjoy good food not walful house food, spend time with locals who really want you here until we board the plane. I hope this resort can learn and improve.

The Meliá Resort in Cozumel is beautiful place to stay. They have everything you could need for on a perfect vacation. And if you’re lucky enough to meet one of the best bartenders in Cozumel, Edilberto Aguilar who takes care of you with such skill and kindness, your evenings will be more fun.

I usually do not write reviews but given on the circumstances I would like want anyone else to spend such a huge amount of money on this resort! Rooms are very outdated! A/c unit is loud and started leaking one day. Room service bust into the room at 8:45 told her come back in two hours we got back in room at 3 nothing has been cleaned two big Roaches were laying on the floor! Had to ask front desk for somebody to clean the room 3 times! Food here is HORRIBLE! The only thing that was decent was the French toast at the market cafe that I had freshly made! Flies were all around the fruit at the buffet and I’m not sure if I’m getting bitten by mosquitoes or something else! Would no recommend this place to anybody oh and to add on top of this service here was HORRIBLE it’s like they by passed me And my husband because we were young and black! On top of being harassed into buying into there vacation packets this was my 5 year wedding anniversary and to say the least we did not have a good time!

I am not one to write reviews. But this has truly been one of the most disappointing experiences in a hotel/resort I have ever experienced. The first day on our arrival, the first five-ten minutes was great. Then quickly that turned into a sales pitch that was almost an hour long. In hot temperatures. After explaining that my fiancé and I were not interested but we would let her know if we changed our mind she then proceeded to continuously make us feel bad for not coming to the dinner she was trying to have us sign up for. Our next few days included being constantly reminded on why we should have stayed somewhere else. All of the food at the buffet was either ice cold, had flies, or was just completely gone. No matter how early you showed up. Room service food was always cold as well. We also both felt very sick after eating and would not feel sick after eating at restaurants off of the resort. The staff would clearly catch an attitude with you and make you feel like a complete inconvenience if you asked them something as simple as what time it was. House keeping would say they are coming at a certain time and we would come back to our room hours later and nothing had been done. Every day our food from room service would sit outside of our door from 10 am all the way until sometimes the next day in the AFTERNOON OR NIGHT. We had said our problems to a staff member and they had shown apologies by sending us a bottle of champagne. We truly thought that would be the end of the issues. But then worst of all on our last night we had gone to dinner outside of the resort and I had quickly ran back to the room to change my dress and there was a staff member knocking on the door I said “one second I’m changing!” Then the staff member proceeded to walk in anyway and I had to run to shut the door. That is just ridiculous. They also lack security. There are only cameras in the entrance area and shops on the resort. Absolutely no cameras in the hallways or stairwells. Which is a completely safety issue!!! We truly did want to fall in love with this place and it really saddens us both that we did not at all. On the bright side at least there was a beautiful beach to look at and the island was a very beautiful place. I really hope everyone at Secrets Aura does not take this review as a harsh criticism but as a learning experience to make sure future guest have a much better experience than we did.

Let me tell you a few secrets about this resort. You will be constantly chased by mosquitoes from the moment you step foot on the property. You will reach your moldy room and realize multiple lights are out of order and that there is an unplugged toilet and pubic hairs in your bath tub. You will try to call the front desk, but will give up because no one picks up. If you're lucky, you might enjoy a nice sunset. And finally, when you complain to the resort about the unclean room and nonfunctional lights, they will insult you and your family and then proceed to say they can do nothing for you. The secret that is worth knowing is pay extra and stay at palace, you will actually enjoy your stay at palace, probably not so much here!

Far from the town, food was decent for an all inclusive. The service was fantastic my room was always clean although somewhat dated and empty for its size. Lovely location with lots of fish right off the beach. Not exactly a solo stay spot but great adults only place if you want peace and quiet.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this establishment. We booked the king/double bed oceanfront suite and requested the double bed option prior to our arrival. Despite being assured that a note had been added to our file, upon arrival we were informed that we would be staying in a king bedroom suite. We reminded the staff of our request for double beds and were told that a double bedroom was available but required cleaning. While waiting for our room to be prepared, we dined at the Oceanaire grill. Unfortunately, I discovered hair in my chicken fajitas, which I returned to the kitchen. This was highly unsatisfactory. We waited over two hours for our room to be cleaned. Upon entering, we were met with an unpleasant odor resembling sewage, and found hair on the shower walls and washcloths, as well as an unclean tub. The lack of cleanliness in our accommodations was unacceptable. It is evident that this location requires significant upgrades and more thorough sanitary practices.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Luz with activities was a gem, so sweet, Gabriel at the Oceana restaurant was fabulous, Rigoberto, a bartender at the Rendezvous Bar was a master with the drinks. Location was great. Food was wonderful. Rooms were a little dated, ours had a smell, but we figured it was from the sink and we covered the drain, smell went away. Light switches were a challenge, some worked and some didn't. Entertainment was good, saw the Mayan fire dance which was amazing. This was a girl's trip to celebrate our 60th Birthday, overall it was a great trip, everyone enjoyed it.

** COMPLETE SCAM!** Secrets Cozumel is a total rip-off. Don’t believe the lies on their website or in the photos. The place reeks of mold the moment you walk in, and the rooms are *disgusting*—old, outdated, and far from what you'd expect for the price. We paid extra for the so-called “Preferred” side, which turned out to be a complete joke. There’s *nothing* “preferred” about it except the extra charges on your bill. To make it worse, they advertise all these dining options, but once you arrive, surprise—they only have *three* restaurants on the entire resort. The rest are over at the *Dreams* side, which they fail to mention until after you’ve already paid and checked in. It’s a bait-and-switch operation at its finest. This was one of the most disappointing vacation experiences I’ve ever had. Secrets Cozumel is dirty, dishonest, and not worth a single penny. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

Save yourself from my experience. Read for a full experience review: Beautiful location and views, but service and management are seriously lacking. Here’s the reality: • Beach & bugs: Sand flies everywhere, mosquitos swarm at night, no fans, no bug spray sold at the shop. My legs and back are torn up from sand fly bites. We’ve never been to a beach that infested before. I have scars a week later. • Service: Staff mostly stand around chatting instead of helping. Several times we had to walk down to the street to hail a taxi because there was no bell hop working. Westins are known for their level of care - not this place. • Towels: Charged $20 for “dirty” towels. I asked for proof and they provided a generic picture of a towel used by a woman 10 shades darker than me. I am very fair skinned and this picture they sent is no where close to my tone. The housekeeper is either very mistaken on room numbers or they do this repeatedly using the same photo. • Noisy rooms & housekeepers: You can hear everything from neighbors. Housekeeping cleans with music blasting — impossible to rest when they are on your floor. • Food & dining: They will not allow you to order drinks without ordering very expensive food. They say it’s law, no one else did this to us. Just something to be aware of. • Pricing issues: Bartender offered 2-for-1 mojitos — ended up charging $18. $18 for 2/1 special is crazy work. Get drinks at a fraction of the cost down the street. • Lobby: Water leak caused mildew smell. AC didn’t work for 4 days. It’s hotter in the hotel than outside. • Entertainment: TV only has Spanish channels, no Netflix or casting. • Activities: Kayaks and snorkels limited to one hour only. Bottom line: For a Westin, this is bare-bones and frustrating. If you want comfort, service, and flexibility, stay closer to downtown instead.

One of the comfiest hotel beds I've stayed at in a while. Our housekeeper Teresa was fantastic and had cute animal towels and cleaned the floor daily so the room was perfect. It's a bit outside of town so expect to pay 150-200 pesos for a ride into downtown but no problem finding a taxi. Staff were friendly overall and the food menu was only decent. Would also mention the spa has a mandatory fee added on to the bill - in addition to taxes - so just be aware. Overall nice spot with great views.

This spot is dope, and it’s wasted on me. I’m not your sunset and scenic type of guy, but the ocean front view of the blue skies and clear water has me at awe. 2mins later I’m over it. 😂🤣 Room was amazing, and the room was a burst of freshness. Smelt amazing! Comfy bed and overall lovely room. A beautiful view to boot.

The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The entrance is beautiful and well-maintained. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the city, but you can easily take a taxi from the cruise terminal — it usually costs around $10 to $15, though you can often bargain for $10 or even $5. If you know some Spanish, it helps! At the beach, there are chairs available and you don’t have to pay extra. Overall, a great place to stay — clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

We came here for vacation and the lobby was so hot. The elevators and all hotel public space had absolutely no air conditioning. Talk about a 3rd world country. We get to our room and it was filthy with bugs and stains on the floors. They finally switch our room and all was well. A few days went by and items started going missing from our room. We went to guest services and they were absolutely no help. The manager told us he would look into it. He goes to the back behind the wall and comes back 10 seconds later, sorry we don't know where your belongings are. It was just an uncomfortable hotel with staff who could not care for the guests at all.

If you are considering staying, here are some tips you need to make sure. 1. Your room phone may not work or the recipient may not respond until you check out. (If you want extra services like towel, may need to come to visit front desk) 2. Marriott Bonboy breakfast coupon only works in the restaurant only when you are present in person (you need to pay if you want to have room service. Bonvoy breakfast coupon doesn’t work for room service) 3. Need to come back to the room and change clothes if you want to use restaurant after swimming (not allowed for who is wearing swimming suits at restaurant) If you want to have a meal or snack while you are swimming, then find another all inclusive resort. 4. Too many mosquitos. Ready for sharing bloods with nature. 5. Amazing ocean view room with leaking water from ceiling AC (it’s okay you can take a shower) and friendly employees but more opportunity to improve facilities and system

Our biggest issues to note is THIS WAS NOT A DIVE HOTEL even though it is listed as one. If you are coming to dive you should stay at occidental or allegro. This hotel stated they had a dive center but what they mean is they will charge you and send you to the hotels that ACTUALLY have a dive center. The location is far away from everything else in Cozumel worth seeing. The final straw is that my partner left his car keys and we did not realize till landing back in the states. We called and concierge could not be bothered, which is how most of our trip felt. They told us once they finally found them 2 days later (they refused to check until the next day) they couldn’t do anything for us and would not assist in anyway with mailing them back, even if we paid them. We found roaches and were asked to “keep the balcony closed” which we paid so much extra to have. The lobby smells like mildew and the furniture looks dirty and old. They will try charging you for all kinds of things at the end of your stay and are inflexible to conversation. Front desk staff was unfriendly and unwilling to even explain most charges. We just really wouldn’t stay here.

We've been here several times, but this time wasn't impressive. Our September 17-24 reservations were canceled with no notice due to renovations and we received no offer to move us elsewhere or any compensation. We rescheduled for October dates. Our first flight on Saturday was canceled, so we could not get there until Sunday. We called and were told it was no problem, as long as we stayed 7 nights. We then changed our return flights so that we could stay 7 nights. Upon arrival on Sunday, we were charged for Saturday night and told we couldn't check in until after 3. We mentioned that Occidental canceled our September reservations and that they told us on the phone on Saturday it would be no problem, but were forced to pay for Saturday night, nor would Alejandra allow us to check in until the standard 3pm check in. During our stay, we loved La Carreta and it's friendly staff, the Mexican restaurant was good, and the bartender at the adult pool was fantastic. The drinks were great and the diving staff was top notch as always. We stay in Royal, but Alejandra was never friendly and always acted like we were causing her to work. On prior trips, it was easy to change out beach towels. This time, they argued about trading in towels at the poolside, so we had to exchange at the Royal office. Sadly, I think this will be our last visit to Occidental since they obviously care so little about long time customers.

We have really enjoyed our stay so far! The thing that has made the big difference has been our service at dinner. Both last night at the Mexican restaurant and tonight at the seafood restaurant we were served by Sergio Montes, Luis, Miguel & Betto and Rafael. The food was delicious both nights and the service was excellent. Really attentive to our needs, super friendly & funny. They made both nights a great start to our vacation and I hope we get lucky enough for them to wait on us again!

Yonatan Perez, Ana Fabiola, and Aaron Hau served us at dinner and were amazing! So helpful and kind and excellent service. Ruben Rodriguez was our host at Mexico Lindo and he and the entire staff were awesome! Food was great.

Lucio was absolutely amazing in the Mediterranean and Mexican a la carte restaurants. He was so kind and funny and the whole staff worked so hard to make this a wonderful experience. The whole resort was lovely and a great quiet place for relaxation. The animals around the hotel were so great and really added to the jungle feel of the place. Highly recommend if you want Mexican charm.

I had high hopes for the Occidental Resort in Cozumel, but our experience was deeply disappointing. The staff was poorly trained and unprofessional. We were forced to move rooms due to a major roof leak in our building (or so they claimed), yet the front desk staff treated us as if it was our fault. They even tried to charge us for the move despite it being their decision—completely unacceptable. The timeshare sales tactics were relentless and invasive. You can’t walk to the gift shop without being pressured with offers of discounted trinkets in exchange for attending a timeshare presentation. It felt predatory and cheapened the entire experience. We came for the diving, but even that was a letdown. The dive schedules don’t align with the restaurant hours, making logistics frustrating. Worse, they allowed visibly intoxicated divers on two night dives, which felt unsafe and irresponsible, seemingly just to chase extra tips. Additionally, some dive masters behaved inappropriately, engaging in overly suggestive, indecent behavior with older guests while aggressively soliciting tips. I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen when families with children are present or couples. The resort itself feels outdated for 2025. The rooms are far from modern, with no excuse for their poor condition. This place may have been decent years ago, but it’s clear it’s gone downhill. We won’t be returning and can’t recommend it to others.

food and service amazing, everyone was super friendly, staff goes above and beyond. BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL IN THE OCEAN a crocodile attacked a lady in the water with her daughter!! Thankfully the staff and people pulled her out quickly. when we asked the staff what would be done with the crocodile THAT CONTINUED to swim all over the BEACH AND SWIMMING AREA they said they couldn’t do anything due to animal protection laws which yes we understand but they admitted to the crocodile being a problem in the past!! They seemed and acted as they didn’t want to worry anybody and warn them about the crocodile DUE TO THE FACT THEY DIDNT WANT TO SCARE ANYBODY AND LOSE MONEY. But something must be done unless they want more people getting attacked.

If you have any food allergies, they do not mark anything on their buffet line. While everyone is nice, the quality of service is slow. We got a low rate and so were okay with lower level experience. Great location if you are a diver.

I love coming to Iberostar to go diving in Cozumel. They have dressel dive shop on site, and it’s a 10 minute boat ride to most of the dive sites, so we can do our surface interval at the resort. The resort grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. It is in a jungle, so there were a lot of mosquitoes and other little bugs. The hotel provided bug cream for us in our rooms, which was a nice perk! The food is good. The buffet is varied, and we had options to go to restaurants on site as well. I enjoy the activities that they put on every day. Azael and his team put on great shows every evening. Manolo led great yoga classes right on the beach. Overall, this is a great resort. It’s nothing too fancy, which keeps it in budget. This was my third trip there within a year, and I plan to come back for more.

Iberostar was a perfect resort for a week of fun and sun!! It had amazing pools, beaches, views, drinks and wildlife!! Highly recommend going snorkeling!! We also hung out by the pool with the amazing entertainment crew. Gerardo and his team were so fun and friendly. Always making sure we were having a good time. We did bingo, dancing, watched singers/dancers and even an obstacle course!! All staff was so friendly and welcoming!! Highly recommend this resort.

I had an amazing stay at Iberostar Cozumel! My absolute favorite part was the staff — everyone was so friendly, accommodating, and full of positive energy. The performers and activity coordinators made every day so much fun. Big shoutout to Judy, Betty, Gerry, and Azael — you were all hilarious and kept the vibe so lively! Also, special mention to Gasper, one of the servers, who was always a friendly face and worked so hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. The activities and shows each day were a highlight and made the trip even more memorable. Thank you, Iberostar Cozumel team, for such a great experience — I can’t wait to come back!

This was my third time visiting Cozumel. I have previously stayed at the Grand Park Royal and the Melia, and I chose this hotel because I had a great experience at Iberostar Paraíso Lindo during my stay in November 2024. Unfortunately, Iberostar Waves Cozumel did not live up to that same standard. The location is quite far from the ferry dock, stores, and restaurants, which is not the hotel’s fault, but it is worth noting that you will need transportation for anything off site. Check in was quick and straightforward. I specifically told the receptionist that what mattered most to me was having a good, working air conditioner. We were in our room within 20 minutes. That is when the problems began. The room smelled of mildew and mold, the beds felt damp, and the air conditioning was not cooling properly, only the fan was running. I called the front desk and housekeeping came but could not help. Then maintenance arrived and suggested spraying the room with Lysol, which I declined. After waiting about 30 minutes with no resolution, I called again and requested a new room. About 30 minutes later, we were shown two options. One was slightly better and the other was worse. We chose the better one, but the entire process took about an hour and a half and could have been avoided with a quicker reassignment. The rooms are clean but dated, with basic furnishings and minimal upgrades. The grounds are well maintained and pretty, but the mosquitoes are unbearable, especially in the evening. To make matters worse, the buffet and some restaurants have no air conditioning and are open air, so you end up sweating through meals while being bitten by mosquitoes. It honestly felt more like camping than relaxing. The beach area is scenic, with rocky shallows and reef structures that make for enjoyable snorkeling. I personally prefer swimming and snorkeling over lounging, so that was a highlight. The pool is nice but lacks shade. Overall, the grounds, beach, and pool are nice, but the lack of air conditioning in dining areas, combined with the mosquito problem and dated rooms, made this an uncomfortable stay. Sadly, I would not return to this property.

Our stay at Iberostar Cozumel was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and the service exceeded all expectations. The resort’s atmosphere, food, and accommodations were all fantastic. I want to make a special shout-out to Judith de la Cruz, who was part of the resort’s activities team. Judith was incredible—she made every day fun and engaging! I joined in on beach volleyball (and even won a prize!), a guacamole cooking competition, and several pool games. She kept the energy high and made sure everyone was having a great time. The scuba diving with Dressel Divers was also spectacular. The coral reefs were breathtaking, the marine life was vibrant, and the dive masters were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Overall, our experience at Iberostar Cozumel was outstanding. We left with unforgettable memories and can’t wait to come back soon!

I had a wonderful stay in a room with a beautiful pool view. The room was clean and absolutely perfect for our visit. We were celebrating my birthday, and it was our first time in Cozumel — what an incredible experience! From the beginning, everything went smoothly. Check-in was fast and efficient, and Enrique was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great, with many delicious options to choose from. We also noticed several staff members who truly stood out for their exceptional service: Emily, Judith (who I believe was a Captain), and Adriana, the host at the Japanese restaurant. Juaquin was always friendly and provided outstanding service, and Angel at the buffet was also fantastic. One of our favorite parts of the trip was the activities with the animation team. We had so much fun painting bags and making bracelets — it was such a memorable moment thanks to Rosa, Sol, and Ismael. We can’t wait to come back and see them again!

Iberostar is amazing! Easy access to the dive dock, beach, and so many amenities! The different food options has been great for our group (vegan and gluten free clearly labeled). Manolo (the fitness trainer on site) has the BEST yoga and pilates sessions, making everyone comfortable and relaxed! I highly recommend this spot!

The price is really for the location and the views + good service. The room was not up to par. The bathroom light was flickering and the floor gained condensation and was pretty slippery which was a little dangerous. The buffet is adequate but wish there was bacon as one of the options. The balcony overlooking the ocean was awesome plus the pool was great! There’s also a bar right next to the area 👌🏾

Casa Mexicana is one of the best hotels in Cozumel. It is clean, breakfast buffet is awesome, and the staff from custodial to management are the absolute best. You will NOT be disappointed in this hotel. The location is close to the main plaza and for scuba divers it is close to Aqua Safari pier. We have stayed here every year since 2016 and will not stay anywhere else.

This hotel was a great experience. All of the staff was cheerful and very helpful. Hot breakfast was great every morning, and the breakfast staff made sure you have all that you need. Definitely recommend this hotel.

3rd time staying in this hotel. Location is ideal and the rooms are clean. I will add that Monica, who works at the lobby/pool bar is the best. She is nice, personable, and a great bartender. 10/10

Really nice hotel. Mostly open air so it’s hot and humid but the property is nice. Its high up on second floor so take the escalator near the 7-11. Then you’ll be in the lobby and still more floors to go. Now the breakfast is good and hot and included. Room was nice and cozy. A/C worked fine and shower was hot. There is a pool and coffee and water left out. Overall I really liked it. Very nice place. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel with a great staff!! Everyone at this hotel in Cozumel were great! Right from checkin, they made us feel like home. We received a champagne glass of some sort of local drink and it was delish! I booked a room facing the ocean & the view was beautiful! We could watch the cruise ships & different charters come & go from the balcony. The room was perfect with a king sized bed with nightstands, chairs, & a little table. The bathroom was clean & the water pressure was amazing! There was a closet with a safe for all your important documents & jewelry. The TV/ dresser was a nice touch since we were visiting for 10 nights, 9 days so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases. The mini fridge, located on the bottom of the TV/ dresser was nice & cold but was missing the shelf holders on the door so it was unusable. It also tipped a little forward so drinks that were laid down on the bottom rolled out. There is a bar located next to the dipping pool (only 3' deep) with lots of seating by the pool or in the lobby area. The breakfast we had every morning while there was so good!! Fresh everything from main courses to eggs to fruit & the freshly squeezed juices were a delight! The breakfast staff are friendly & always ready to pour you another cup of coffee! There is off-street parking only. They are between the white curb markings. Parking goes along the seawall all the way to the other end, in certain areas, so be aware that you may get lucky like we did & was able to park right outside of the hotel or have to park near the port, also like we did. There are taxi's galore if you are not renting a car. There's a 7-11 located literally right downstairs of the hotel which was perfect because I was able to get my slurpee every single day after a glorious day of enjoying the ocean & being out & about. There are restaurants everywhere so you can just walk & find one that appeals to you! We can't wait to go back to Cozumel & will definitely stay at Casa Mexicana again!

Right on the ocean! We stayed in the second floor. About ten rooms got robbed while we were staying here and ours was one of them, but if you want an oceanfront room downtown, this is all you.

Quiet hotel on a beautiful reef. Highly recommend snorkeling off the beach to see tropical fish. The area felt very safe and a cab is only 150 pesos to go into the town. Rooms were a bit outdated and the towels were very thin, mattress firm by US standards, and restaurant only ok (breakfast was the best meal with an eggs made to order station). Good for couples looking to relax - there’s not much of a party scene in the evenings compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at.

Exceptional resort at a reasonable price. The staff was amazing! The hotel is right on the beach. Crystal clear water and soft sand. You can snorkle on the beach, and they have a dock for excursions like diving. They have lots of beach chairs and the hotel and beach are kept amazingly clean and groomed. They have two pools, but no public jacuzzi. We did get a room with a private jacuzzi on our balcony. The room was very spacious with a large living room and mini refrigerator. The restaurant in the hotel had a hot free buffet breakfast every day. They even made omelets to order. They also served lunch and dinner, and our dinner was amazing! They have a tiki bar on the beach and also a huge outdoor, open-air facility for lunch, and they had a band play in the afternoon from 2 - 5pm, where some couples danced to Latin music. The staff again was amazing from check-in to the maid service every day, servers and bar staff. The hotel is also close to town, and the ferry dock (11 minutes). I highly recommend "food tour with Julio," nicest man you will ever meet. The hotel is also very quiet, there are mostly couples and families. We highly recommend Playa Azul Cozumel Hotel. We will definitely be back. We loved the hotel and Cozumel.

They need half stars, Playa Azul is a sold 4.5. Everyone is really nice and helpful. While the place is on the older side, it's still beautiful and you can tell they really try to keep up with maintenance. It was clean and staff were always nearby. The food was really good and if you wanted to, could stay in and have all meals there. It's a short trip to town ($10 each way +tip), and there are 3 places to eat across the street. The beach is absolutely beautiful and they keep it very clean.

We stayed here for a week in late October. We chose this location over the Westin (just next door) as the rooms were about half the price. As a long time Marriott patron, I figured we would pay to use the Westin's all-inclusive packages on certain days. We never did because Playa Azul had everything we needed. First off, the staff is amazing and extremely friendly. In particular, the bartenders on the beach bar, Kermit and Darwin were awesome. As far as the resort itself, I actually greatly preferred the set up to the Westin's. The rooms all have ocean views. We chose the biggest, the grand master suite, I think it was called. Very nice though the jacuzzi didn't really work out for us. Honestly, the rooms were just fine, especially since there is so much to do on the island that all we did was sleep and shower there! Totally worth paying half the price of the Westin! Overall, the place has a motif which felt very local, whereas the Westin felt a bit sterile... standing in the Westin lobby, I could have been anywhere in the world whereas at Playa Azul I had no doubt. I highly recommend this place... you will not be sorry if you book here over the much more expensive options.

Cute hotel about 10 minutes to town by car. We had numerous issues with this hotel which we fully explained to the hotel through our Expedia review. There were 4 in our group and each shared the same concerns about internet problems, TV problems, Aircon problems, etc..The upside was the staff who were really nice and friendly.

The hotel is out from the main city. It definitely has a mosquito problem. The beds are very uncomfortable. Room service doesn’t clean your room everyday. The restaurant staff is ????? I won’t be staying here again.

Amazing! The staff are fantastic and treat you like family. They offer great service, and wonderful recommendations for things to do, places to go, and tours to go on. Housekeeping was on top of it every day! From the concierge, front desk staff, service staff, and helpers- they make this hotel a gem of a place to stay! The pool area is always clean, service is prompt. The best part is the snorkeling! Snorkeling right from the hotel is amazing- all sorts of fish, rays, lobsters, eels, crabs- anything you could want to see! Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable! <3

We really enjoyed our stay here. The snorkeling is just excellent. Maybe some of our favorite snorkeling ever and we’ve been on many tours. There aren’t huge reefs here, but there is a large variety of sea life in the rocks. We’ve seen eels, rays, barracuda, needle fish, all kinds of tropical schools, parrot fish, angels and clowns, nurse sharks, and some huge puffer fish. Plus an octopus one time. The food is also very good at the restaurant at the waterfront. If you’re needing something a bit more American on your trip, this spot has great fries and burgers and salads. The rooms are basic and older but clean and nice. I don’t remember the rooms being particularly noisy, but I am a heavy sleeper. All the employees were very kind to us. The pool area is super relaxing with tons of lounge chairs, and there are very nice public bathrooms near the swimming area. If you have a car, the parking is convenient. If you’re walking, it is around 30-40 minutes into town. Not terrible, and a beautiful walk with a good path away from traffic.

TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! You have been warned. The hotel is under renovation and is basically closed. The lobby, front entrance pool, everything is being worked on. We had to be escorted around the side of the hotel, to a make shift lobby. None of this was disclosed prior to booking, if it had been, we would have NEVER booked this place. We stayed one night, had checked out, without any type of refund.

We’ve been coming to Coral Princess for a couple decades. The facility is showing some signs of age in some areas. Very nice location. Food is always good. Staff is exceptional.

BUYER BEWARE - I booked a room with free cancellation & paid in full. Our plans changed, so I cancelled my reservation. After a week I had still not received my refund so I sent an email. The email requested my BANK NAME, ACOUNT NUMBER, ETC!!! Otherwise, they recommended I refuse the transaction on my payment method & they would accept it. I have started that process with my credit card company. Seems very fraudulent to me! BE CAREFUL!

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! These guys are scammers. We have canceled our fully refundable reservation more than a month out and have not received our money. When we emailed them they asked for a bunch of our banking information. Why can't you refund a card? SHAME ON YOU

Serious safety warning for women walking alone nearby: While walking past Coral Princess toward the ferry on a quiet Sunday, a man tried to push me into a white car in what was clearly a coordinated abduction attempt. I escaped by running and crossing the highway. Please be extremely cautious in this area—especially if you're alone and it’s not busy.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. Great service, good food and amazing views. We jumped right out of the hotel to the beautiful ocean and it was breathtaking! We saw eagle rays and turtles. I specially loved that this hotel is focused on wellness, there is yoga every day and you can sign up for other rituals/therapies. They are also doing lots of things to take care of the ocean, which is definitely a plus for us!

I was there for five nights with my special guy to celebrate my birthday and being together in a very romantic place. We both agreed that we would come back here in a heartbeat. Everything about it was magical – the staff (special gracias to Marcela, Faustino, Marbella, Rodolfo, Gabriel, Maria and so many others for making this such a special time). Our room was fantastic with a view off the balcony right over the ocean, and we just loved sitting in our chairs outside - and even dancing under the stars there. It was also especially wonderful to have one room service breakfast included. The food was delicious, light, and healthy, including the buffet breakfast that came with our room. It was also very helpful to have the Island Divers desk right there on the property. Cozumel has a very special vibe/magic - maybe it is the goddess Ixchel who watches over everything – but it is definitely a very powerful place..

Stayed here for 2 nights and loved the ocean view and location. Great value too—if you book on their website, breakfast is included. Snorkeling right next to the pool was such a highlight. Big thanks to Marco—he went above and beyond with tips for our next stop and even suggested local snorkeling spots. Super helpful! Only downside was the service at the restaurant/pool. Sometimes staff saw we needed something but didn’t come over—maybe because of the language barrier. A bit more attentiveness would make it 5 stars.

Our snorkel excursion got cancelled for weather so a day pass here was our "plan B" and it was a fantastic experience. Food was great, service (Rodolfo) was amazing, location was a bit outside of town but that means it was quiet and relaxing. Snorkeling was great, saw squid, a small ray, tons of fish and coral we haven't seen in the south... Made me want to come back for a full stay next time. 10/10 would recommend.

Review: Disappointing Stay at B Unique Cozumel – Poor Service and Overcharging We stayed at B Unique Cozumel expecting a peaceful and relaxing getaway, as we specifically booked the Adults Only section of the resort – which is clearly more expensive than the family side. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations. Despite the Adults Only booking, there were constantly children at the pool area, as it's located right next to the restaurant which is open to all guests. This completely defeats the purpose of paying more for an adults-only experience, and it was both disruptive and frustrating. To make matters worse, we experienced a serious case of overcharging at the hotel restaurant. We were initially given the wrong bill, which we accidentally paid. While still at the restaurant, we noticed that we had been overcharged by nearly 50%. The staff claimed they would cancel the original payment and had us pay again the correct amount. Despite these assurances, both charges went through and no refund was ever processed. Even worse, during this whole situation, we were asked for a tip not once, but twice, which felt shameless and inappropriate given the circumstances. We sent a formal complaint by email, but never received a reply. This lack of professionalism and complete disregard for guest concerns is unacceptable, especially for a hotel that advertises itself as premium. In summary, we felt ignored, overcharged, and misled. We cannot recommend B Unique Cozumel and would strongly advise future guests to be cautious – especially at the hotel restaurant.

I recently spent five nights in Cozumel at Hotel B Unique. The hotel is showing its age, particularly in the rooms. The staff members are attentive, while the food quality can vary. Additionally, the location is conveniently just a short walk into town. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again due to the condition of the room, hotel noise, and poor food. Hotel 3/5 I arrived at the hotel mid-day. A few guests were waiting to check in/out. The check-in process took approximately 45 minutes, and after about 10 minutes, the staff offered a welcome drink in a shot glass. The initial view of the hotel is positive; there is a reception station to the left and small goods for purchase on the right, with a view of the ocean at the backend. There is plenty of seating on the main level, which you will need because the check-in process is lengthy. The hotel amenities were in good shape, including pools, sofas, chairs, and hammocks. It is not a big hotel, so space is limited. The hotel's exterior is shabby with mold, peeling paint, and unfinished concrete surfaces, especially on the ocean side. Staff 5/5 During my stay, I had positive interactions with the staff that truly enhanced my experience. From the moment I arrived, they were attentive and welcoming, always ready to assist with any questions I had. They offered valuable suggestions for local attractions and dining options, which helped me make the most of my visit. Additionally, I was pleased to find that both the rooms and the common areas were impeccably clean. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the space. Overall, their dedication to customer service and the well-kept environment made my stay enjoyable and comfortable. Room 2/5 The room, an ocean-facing room on a high floor, was in rough shape. There is a decent view overlooking the ocean. The concrete floors had chips and excessive wear in several places. The tile work on the floor was chipped and scuffed. The bathroom showed several poor repairs to the walls and tile work, and there was only one sink with three mirrors, oddly enough. Even though I was in an ocean-facing room, the road noise was loud and right next to the main road. To make matters worse, the hotel held a private party on Saturday, hosted a jazz musician, and had music playing at the pool. So, at one point, we had three different kinds of music bombarding the room, which made sleep impossible. Food 1/5 The food was disappointing. I ordered the fish of the day on the first night after a long day of travel. It was inedible, completely overcooked. I ordered the classic ceviche to compensate, but it was not fresh. The guacamole with chips was decent, though.

Please do not pay attention to any negative reviews about this place. This hotel is a gem! We arrived early and gave them a call to see if we could check in early and we were accommodated without issue. We even had to check out a little late and we were accommodated with that request as well. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. They are all amazing. When we checked in, we were greeted by the most helpful and friendly people I have ever encountered at a hotel. Every single person we talked to greeted us with a smile every single day. Our rooms were ocean facing, and were clean, large and the view was peaceful and beautiful. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and towels were replaced (even pool towels). We sat on our balcony at night and listened to the free live music from the restaurant. Perfect after a long day in the sun. The reception staff helped us with excursions, recommended restaurants and assisted us with any of our needs during our stay. The door staff was so fun to talk to every day. So friendly, funny and helpful and ready to assist us with a ride or general information about Cozumel. The restaurant served free breakfast, coffee and a speciality juice which was always good. Several food options. The restaurant staff remembered our names and always greeted us with big smiles. They checked on us constantly asking if we needed anything. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We did not want the loud, busy resort experience. We wanted quiet and peaceful and that’s exactly what we got at Hotel B Unique. We can’t wait to go back. They feel like family to us!

My wife and I visited this hotel for our first trip outside the USA, and overall, our five-night stay was very pleasant. Pros: • The buffet offered a wide variety of choices, including made-to-order eggs in the morning. • Throughout the day, snacks like fresh fruit, small sandwiches, and ice cream were readily available. • The two pools overlooking the water were beautiful, and drinks were served generously and often. • The staff were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. • Our room was clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made for a comfortable stay. • The hotel was conveniently located near the town, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and excursions—all of which could be booked right from the hotel. Cons: • One downside was the persistent pressure from staff trying to get us to attend a 1.5-hour presentation. Some of these individuals later approached us with personal side deals, which felt a bit uncomfortable. • The pool bars closed relatively early—one at 6 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.—which felt a little too soon for a resort setting. • While the food was generally good, it could be inconsistent depending on the time of day and the restaurant. We ended up sticking with the buffet, as it was the most reliable option.

We travel to Cozumel several times a year and this was our first stay at this resort. Upon arrival, the place is breathtakingly beautiful! Aldo was great and helped us get settled in. AC in the room was nice - not super cold (71), but felt comfortable. There’s not always hot water (which is normal around dinner rushes) - but plenty hot when it’s not peak hour. Our only concern was that the resort is geared towards locals and we found that some (not all) of the staff was very rude to the few Americans there with us. I had a few request from room service (a coffee pod) and she hung up on us after saying some not so friendly things. The entertainment staff kept telling us they didn’t have any open participation spots for our children, but would immediately include Spanish speaking children. It’s just the first time I’ve ever felt uncomfortable and unwanted at a resort. I’m sure it has everything to do with recent political events - but I didn’t let it ruin the trip for us. The food was just okay - no fresh guacamole or local cuisine. The food was burnt or stale - unless you went with whatever they were making on the grill. Excellent omelet bar! Overall, I would say that the resort is more for the locals - who were super nice (minus the few staff). There were several pools - all with gorgeous views! The one pool did have a light broken with wires hanging out for the duration of our stay. The “tropical pool” has a nice lazy river, but you’re in among the trees, so expect the water to be filled with leaves. Which wasn’t a problem, just an observation. If you’re looking for a budget trip and you’re willing to forgo good food and service, then it’s great! If you’re wanting a quiet trip, good food, great staff - it may not be the place for you. Definitely recommend learning Spanish - they don’t speak a lot of English to the guest. But again, it’s their country and I don’t mind adapting to and respecting that. I give it a 3 out of 5 😊

The Mexican restaurant, Frida, is delicious! Rene greeted us promptly and offered us something to drink. We started with guacamole & queso fundido, then for dinner tried a few types of tacos (pork, steak, chicken)…all were good. But what we really enjoyed was the staff, they were exceptional! Christopher, our waiter, was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The manager, Eddy, was also helpful and ensured we had a good experience. Definitely recommend Frida’s!

This was my first time both doing an all inclusive and traveling to Cozumel. All I can say is that my experience here was top notch! The views are wonderful, the excursions were so much fun and my guy, Miguel, was the absolute best part of the experience! He was always so friendly and greeted us with a smile everyday! He made sure our excursions were booked and we were safely taken care of throughout our time away from the resort! All of the food was wonderful, but my favorite restaurant was the Mexican one. Eddy and Olga were wonderful servers! I highly recommend this resort.

This is critical. We have not arrived to the Hotel and I already had a bad experience. Called several times concerning my reservation and encountered unprofessional staff, not willing to help and lack of knowledge. I regret so very much that I did not cancelled during the cancellation window. The worst part, they asked me to write an email and assured my issue was going to be addressed and never got back a response from Karla(Carla) from reservations. Terrible experience. Do not recommend at all!

Such fun with the Magic Show on our first night here! It was really amazing how the team performed the tricks! We also had a good time doing Aquarobics with Jazmin! The food and service at all the restaurants were great! Particularly Restaurant Frida with Capitán Eddy and Manuel, Juan and Arceo!

For a "luxury" resort, the cost does not match the product. Despite having multiple restaurant options, the food was disgusting, especially the buffet. I got sick twice from it. Our door would constantly stick and had to try multiple key passes to open while trying to shove just the right way. Staff communication was hit or miss, we had to call multiple times for things like laundry pick up, coffee for the room, etc. I tried out the spa for a deep tissue massage, which apparently meant more being rough and not actual massage technique. The on site gift shop is so over priced a red bull cost around $8 usd. If they are going to charge a high value price, the amenities should match the cost. I could have stayed at a hotel half the cost and had the same or better stay.

Very nice hotel located in the north of the island. The beach is not large but offers a large diversity of fish of all sizes. The hotel itself is a little bit oldish, it may have been a luxury hotel 50 years ago but not anymore. However you find everything one can need, from pools to tennis courts (but why does it have to close at 6pm ? It does not make de se to play under the hot sun!), and the food is correct. Cocktails are for free, so it’s a very good quality/price rate. And the service is perfect.

Rooms are comfortable but could use some updating with ceiling fans, better mattresses, and shower doors. The staff here is absolutely fantastic which is why we have been coming here for the past 18 1/2 years. Food is always great and they will make you anything you want. Never disappointed when we come here!

What a delightful stay!! The staff was, by far, the best I’ve encountered in my travels, very attentive and informative. There was not one need they couldn’t fulfill. The resort is dated, however the staff maintains the property VERY well. It is extremely clean and well appointed. The pools are pristine and the sunset view is spectacular. Food options were more than adequate. I saw many reviews about the food, however, we found it quite accommodating to our tastes and buffet varied just enough each day to keep us satisfied. It always appeared fresh and was well seasoned. The dining room was exceptional and the food was excellent, so you must make your reservation to enjoy a more formal dining experience. Carlos, at the spa services, gives a very good deep tissue massage and will not disappoint. Fairly priced and easy to book while we were there. Juan never let us go thirsty and there are multiple hydration stations throughout the resort so no excuse for dehydration. Our cleaning staff always had a smile and assisted with any refreshes we needed without hesitation. The only con, we experienced a couple of brief water outages, but no worse than any other island I’ve been to so not really a con so much as an anticipated expectation that others might find “horribly inconvenient”, me not so much. Although we did not get to enjoy every amenity due to time constraints, Julieta answered questions we had regarding future accommodations and activities. This will be our resort of choice for our next visit to beautiful Cozumel.

White sandy beach and water entrance. Very clear water this time of year (July) and protected from seaweed by a pier to the north. Only disadvantage is that it attracts people from neighboring hotels. The hotel itself is a bit old and warn down but has a nice ambiance. Food is generally OK, both at the ala carte and buffet restaurants compared to the price level, but the buffet restaurant would benefit from more variation at the “grill station”. The only big complaint regarding food is that almost all fish and meats are overcooked, often due to cooking twice. The drinks and food service at the beach is absolutely great. In the buffet restaurant it varies too much, some are very serviceminded, others borderline rude or ignoring at best. The house keeping team cleaned the rooms well, but almost every day something was forgotten: replacement towels, soap, toilet paper and waterbottles. We are relatively relaxed about the service gaps because we prioritize location, so overall we enjoyed the stay very much due to the beach and water conditions. One addition I simply have to make here after having looked at other peoples reviews is that the snorkeling is NOT good. I have noticed that many people praise the snorkeling as fantastic, which is far out. If you are a beginner there are good conditions for practicing: clear calm waters. However, if you are intermediate or advanced and have been snorkeling on coral reef islands before you will be highly dissappionted. it is quite dull. No real coral reef and only few species of fish compared to the fact that Cozumel is a coral reef island. The general impression we got was that it is difficult find good or excellent snorkeling from shore in Cozumel. We did however have one very good snorkeling experience. That was at Del Cielo in the Punta Sur park at the southern end of Cozumel. We we went straight out from the Del Cielo beach club approximately 5-600 meters and then drifted slowly northbound along a narrow reef (5-15 meters wide) for about 300 meters and then back to beach. There was an abundance soft coral and marine life. The colours of the swaying sea fans constantly changing due to the movement and the sunlight coming through the moving water surface. I will upload a photo, and please do not confuse that with the snorkeling at El Cozumeleno Beach.

❌ They Charged Us $1,000 Extra at Check-In – SCAM Alert We booked this hotel fully paid online, but when we arrived, they forced us to pay an extra $1,000 — with no clear reason. No upgrade, no special request — just a surprise charge at the front desk. We were tired from traveling and had no choice but to pay. It felt like a scam. And sadly, the rest of the stay was just as disappointing. 🛏️ Beds – Rock Hard The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a concrete slab. We didn’t rest properly for even one night. 🐜 Ant Infestation There were ants inside the room, even in the bathroom and near the bed. We kept everything clean, but it didn’t help. Disgusting and unacceptable. 🚫 No Safe + No Security Cameras The room had no safe to store valuables, and we later found out the hotel doesn’t have security cameras in key areas. We didn’t feel safe at all. 🍽️ Buffet – Poor Quality & Few Options The food was repetitive, cold, and very limited — definitely not up to all-inclusive standards. We ended up eating outside just to get a decent meal. 😡 Staff Rude & Unhelpful When we questioned the $1,000 charge and the problems in our room, the staff acted like it was normal. They were rude, dismissive, and offered no help. 🚫 DO NOT STAY HERE We were scammed, disrespected, and uncomfortable from start to finish. Save your money, your peace, and your vacation. El Cozumeleno is NOT what it claims to be.

All of the workers made it a good first time. The beach is a pretty area. They did a celebration for my 15 birthday which was so nice of them! Gloria the manager was really helpful when I broke out in a rash. Julieta made our trip extra special! Great place to stay for sure! I hope to come back!

I have supported & promoted El Cozumeleno for 20+ years BUT 8/2025 was a major disappointment! The entire resort is in dire need of repair & updates. Rooms are worn out, water fixtures like shower & faucets clogged or not attached, while there the 1st floor ceiling by elevator fell in & the bracing was just rusted away. Pools are dirty, food is minimally available. The beach area is still Great! The employees I feel know the issues and do the best job they can with what they have. It really seems the resort is out of funds, I mean a deposit for beach towels of $10 is normal BUY to chase you out the door as you go to a different beach towels charge ANOTHER $15 deposit on the same towel is ridiculous & annoying. People live on tips, but the jeep rental “booth” hits you for $25, then the jeep company added in extra fees & pretend they don’t know better. I truly hope they fix everything before it’s too late.

Not the greatest resort. When I first got to resort inside of my room had a strong musty odor , the staff were accommodating though and switched me to another room . Room was decent but nothing special Numerous people whom i was traveling had issues with room such no hot water , air conditioners leaking. The food at the resort was terrible and i couldn't eat much of it. Staff was helpful & accomodating though if there were issues and there seem to be a lot of them. Hotel needs a major upgrade . Location was good too but would not stay here again.

The food and beach were amazing. The beach was one of the largest compared to other resorts. The rooms were surprisingly very sound proof and sleep was great as well. Service was very attentive, especially from the entertainment team. They all looked like they enjoyed what they do. The only thing that could improve would be the presence of the DJ in the discotheque. It was a great experience overall.

During our six-day stay, housekeeping skipped our room on one of the days, which was disappointing, as daily cleaning is a basic service expected at a hotel of this level. As for the food, the buffet does not offer a wide variety of options, but the dishes available were flavorful and of acceptable quality, including the drinks. While the selection could be expanded, what is offered meets a reasonable standard. The beach location is excellent, with easy and convenient access both from the rooms and other common areas. It was very comfortable to enjoy the beach without long walks or logistical challenges. It’s worth mentioning that as national tourists, we have noticed on past visits a difference in the level of service between international and local guests. However, this time we did feel welcomed and treated warmly, which we truly appreciate. That said, there is still a noticeable preference in attention and service for international visitors. The nightly entertainment has improved and now feels more varied and enjoyable. However, the instructions and hosting in English are quite limited, and we recommend hiring staff with stronger English-language skills, especially considering the large number of international guests. In summary, the hotel provides a good overall experience, with strengths in food flavor, location, and accessibility. Still, it has key areas to work on, particularly daily room maintenance and ensuring equal, high-quality service for all guests, regardless of their origin.

Lovely hotel, in a stunning location with a beautiful beach and grounds. Rooms are a little dated, but are fine. AC is great, beds are comfy and everything is spotless. Food is OK. Breakfast is good, pool snack bar is convenient and always has something good on offer. Evening buffet is a little plain, but there's always something to eat. Mexican and Oriental restaurants are really good. If you are a diver, Pro Diver is on site, and run a great operation. But most of all, the staff at the resort are outstanding. They are genuine and friendly, and really care about giving top service. For the price, this resort can't be beaten.

You get what you pay for here - First, the good: 1. Excellent air conditioning 2. Rooms were comfortable and clean 3. Resort is handicapped accessible and wheelchair friendly 4. Pools, bars, beach are all as advertised. Beach in particular was clean with beautiful clear water and easy to access Could improve on: 1. Check in experience - took almost three hours to get our group of eight checked in 2. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They weren't outright rude but it was clear they did not care much about our comfort or helping us to solve problems 3. Food - pretty bad. The restaurants with reservations were booked up on 3 out of our 4 nights, which is disappointing because the one time we ate there it was much better than the buffet.

We decided to try a new resort and we were very disappointed in Allegro. Food was cold every time we ate. The staff was not attentive. The walk from the front of the resort to our room was literally a football field in a half. However the beach was amazing. We've been home since the 12th and yesterday my debit card was charged $150 from the car rental place there at the resort. We called and spoke to someone and they told us to call the car rental place and now nobody will answer the phones. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

Absolutely incredible stay all around. This resort had everything we could have wanted to make our trip an amazing experience. Mary-Ann at the kids club is an all star. She is kind and patient and so friendly. My kids (5 and 9) loved the range of fun activities. One tip for those with small kids - request a room further from the nightly entertainment, which can be quite loud if your kids go down early. Additionally, JD, Diego and David were excellent and the life of the party. They were such fun MCs and always had such a great vibe. They clearly love what they do and they make sure everyone has a blast. Please just tell them to practice their beach volleyball more so they’re ready for me next time. For scuba divers, this place is paradise with incredible reef just minutes away. Highly recommend Scuba Tony for serious divers, who will pick you up right from the pier. Overall, absolutely incredible stay - we will be back.

Diego M. Omar, Jesus, Luis, Arby and Andrea G were all excellent. Made our stay so much fun. Drinks were great. Dinners were always great too. Enjoyed our vacation even though it rained. Give them all a raise, they deserve it !!!

Come for the Beach, Stay Because You Already Paid If you’re looking for a hotel where the only five-star feature is the sand you didn’t have to pack in your suitcase, Dreams Hotel Cozumel is calling your name. Let’s be real: the beach is gorgeous. Soft sand, turquoise water, and sunsets so pretty you almost forget you paid resort prices for… well, nothing else. Because once you step off the beach? Buckle up. The food tastes like it was cooked by someone who once saw a cooking show on mute. The drinks? More water than the ocean itself. The service? Let’s just say if waiting were an Olympic sport, you’d leave here with a gold medal. So, if you don’t mind dropping serious cash just to have a front-row seat to the Caribbean Sea, you’ll be fine. But if you expect a functioning hotel experience on top of that? Oh honey, good luck. Dreams? More like Daydreams about staying somewhere else.

Upon arrival at the airport, do *NOT* talk to anybody in the first long hallway! They’re all scammers for a Hyatt timeshare called Unlimited Vacation Club for the Dreams Hotel and Secrets Aura. They will offer a discounted $60 car rental that you have to pre-pay in return for a “quick” tour of a hotel. It’s not a tour, but rather a 90min sales presentation for their timeshare. However, they actually make you stay for 120min, or else they won’t give you the car rental that you already paid $60 for. Then, the police pull the car over and ask you to give them the keys and take a taxi to the hotel, as they have to impound the car because Getaway Car Rental from the Secrets Aura hotel car rental does not have a matching registration name tied to their rental agency name. Lovely timing when you’re en route to the airport to catch a flight. Crazy how much Cozumel politics have changed in two years. We’ve been coming here for 10 years, got married on the island, and the people of Cozumel we have met downtown are wonderful. We never dealt with these issues in the past. The scammers at the airport and the new politics and police of Cozumel are extremely frustrating and has left a sour taste. If Cozumel wants to reduce tourism, they have succeeded.

I’m done with this garbage. This whole trip was a total scam from the second I landed, and it’s everything WRONG with Mexican culture laid bare. Scammers are freaking EVERYWHERE. You get off the plane, and it’s game on — taxis trying to rob you blind with $200 quotes for a 10-minute ride. Some shady dude waves you over, acting like he’s your shuttle savior, then hits you with “rental cars, gas and insurance included!” Sounds legit, right? Nope. It’s a scam to drag you into a timeshare pitch dressed up as a “hotel stop.” You sit through their BS, only to find out the “deal” is fake, and the car costs a fortune anyway. Then the final gut-punch: cops pull you over, say the car’s “not legal,” and threaten to tow it unless you cough up cash. That’s when it clicks — it’s all a rigged game to bleed you dry. Taxis, “helpers,” rentals, even the damn police — they’re all in on it, part of the same crooked system that screams everything wrong with this place. I ditched that car, stormed back to the airport, and swore I’m NEVER coming back. This wasn’t a vacation — it was a infuriating test of how much scam and betrayal you can stomach before you lose it.

I had one of the worst hotel experiences here. The facilities are in deplorable condition – the room phone didn’t work, which meant we couldn’t even call for room service. On top of that, the lights in the room didn’t work, making our stay extremely uncomfortable. Service was equally unacceptable. One waiter threw the food at us, and another staff member who brought our dinner was rude and completely unprofessional. It was shocking how little respect was shown to us as guests. To make matters worse, when we tried to raise these issues, the hotel manager, Pablo Cazares, and the concierge, Irving, were extremely disrespectful and dismissive. They did absolutely nothing to address our concerns or offer any kind of apology or solution. This place clearly has serious issues with both its infrastructure and staff training. I would strongly advise against staying here if you’re expecting even a basic level of service or respect.

This has to be the least impressive resort I've ever visited. There is no entertainment. Not much to do.The TV channels are all in Spanish. They don't provide top shelf liquor. The food is mediocre and small servings. The buffets are few and not many items to choose from. Also, the food menu is pretty much the same at all restaurants. Not a good variety of food. Not what im used to at all. Plus, they lost power for a few hours, No Air nowhere and not enough candles for the tables. People were using the flashlights on their phone. The best thing is the bathroom it has a huge shower and glass doors. 😊 I wont be back.

If it weren’t because of the amazing snorkeling experiences in the ocean right off of the Hotel this place in my opinion would be shut down! They have nothing to do after 8 pm once they close the pool which to me is absolutely ludicrous! Why do they close the pool so early? The pool itself is small and the only one they have working! They have a little planner with some shows and activities but honestly it’s extremely boring and a complete waste of time. The food is edible but we had a hard time because it lacked good taste and the outside buffet was always accompanied by swarming flies!🤢🤮 the staff is mostly friendly but there are quite a few that need some customer service training! Especially in that industry where people are on vacation going to relax not be given a hard time! Management especially Plablo Caseras are extremely rude and cocky. They can care less if you’re happy or if something is wrong they’re not going to fix it because they are pretty good at being dismissive and have no problem showing you they don’t care because they already have your money! Some manager women was supposed to get back to me according to Samuel after I told him the horrible experience we had with Mr Pablo but I guess it didn’t matter because they don’t care so we were dismissed! We ended up doing two excursions while in Cozumel just to get the heck out of that hotel and do something fun! The restaurant waits are long and the only restaurant I recommend is the Mexican restaurant the rest are subpar! If your going on vacation to Cozumel do yourself a favor and look into other hotels! You have been warned!

This resort offers gorgeous views and super friendly staff. The swim out rooms are excellent, regardless of if they are beach front or pool front. The pool front ones are great with kids because you can chill in the swim out while your kids play in the larger pool. Plus, you can participate in daily poolside activities right from your room's porch/swim out. Admittedly, there are some areas throughout the resort where the harsh climate conditions have clearly taken their toll but it does seem like they put forth strong efforts to keep up with the maintenance of the facility. For the most part, I'd rate the food offerings as typical, common, bulk service catering/conference quality. It is not great, it is not terrible, but average. There are some exceptions though. Olio, the Mediterranean style restaurant, was very good. I'm personally a very picky eater but we found it to be the best restaurant on property. The satay was my favorite dish here. Also, at the pizzeria, the arancini appetizer is quite delicious. Our particular room had an adjoining room next to it and whatever happened in their bathroom/entrance area sounded as if it were happening in ours. The front door had major gaps around it which allowed constant wind sounds through. I don't know that this is the case for all the rooms and we generally didn't have any issues with this. The room itself was essentially your average resort/hotel room but the bathroom, particularly the shower, was pretty awesome. Several people we talked to made comments about how it seemed that all the money for the rooms went to the bathrooms. If you're reading all of this so far and thinking that it sounds like it should be 2.5-3 stars, I hear you. But the staff are where they make up the points. (Nearly) everyone here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Particularly the bar staff and the entertainment staff. This trip would definitely not have been the same without them. When it comes to entertainment, Heydy and Aaron bring it hard! Each one of them has more energy than nearly anyone I've ever met. They lead fun activities throughout the day, every day. Introduce yourself to them and they will make sure you know about all the activities being offered and that you're never bored. Just don't challenge Heydy to Jenga. She's too good! 🤣 The bellmen are also super friendly and helpful. They are full of knowledge and love to share it. Especially Elias! He has a positive outlook and always greets you with a smile. For some, this may be the most important part... The bartenders! 🙂 Again, they are all super nice but Gaudencio brings it to the next level. Enjoyable to talk to and he'll take great care of you. He just wants you to have an amazing vacation. If the gym and spa are important to you, they have both of those facilities next door in the old Sunscape Sabor which is under renovation and (as I understand it) is set to become an extension of Dreams. Although Sunscape is closed and buildings are being demolished for renovation, the gym and spa are safely in the front and there's an easy walking path to get there. Or, you can ask for a golf cart to take you there. Finally, there's the beach. Get there early and you can grab some shaded chairs. On our first couple of days, we didn't have any sargassum (type of seaweed) and we were told that it isn't typically an issue on this side of the island due to a strong current offshore. However, when the storms are just right, some will inevitably make it to shore. This was the case for the latter portion of our trip but it was still never terrible. We've seen far worse on the shores of Playa del Carmen. Ultimately, I would recommend Dreams Cozumel Cape to friends and family.

I found this place through Expedia. Room was clean, A/C worked great, and everything was nice. I have paid much more for much less in the USA. Spacious room with a table and chairs. Ceiling fan over the bed and a safe. Fruit/toast/coffee breakfast, and WiFi was included. Located right off Parque Benito Juarez. Close to all the stuffs.

Would definitely recommend. Clean and spacious room, friendly staff, nicely located, not great but quite decent breakfast. On the downside the lobby is absurdly cold.

Stayed 3 nights: Really hated this place, problems: 1 - No hot water at any time during the 3 days 2 - Our reservation included breakfast, what they do not tell you until you arrive is that you have to walk about a kilometer to their sister hotel to get it. 3 - WIFI functioned for about 10 minutes in total over the 3 days. They also do not tell you that they switch it off from 10pm to 7am every day. 4 - Rooms need serious renovations, rusted fittings, cracked mirrors etc etc. We stay in Cozumel about 5 times per year but will never stay in this dump ever again

Central location by the main plaza, in front of the ferry terminal, but on the quiet site. Staff was helpful and kept our luggage in their storage until the room was ready. AC in the lobby is probably too strong but you don't need to spend too much time there anyways. The room is a decent size, clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included and served in a sister hotel a few blocks away. Well priced.

Nice suite rooms, great central location. Some rooms are small suites, with a kitchenette. No microwave, but refrigerator, sink and stove. They supply very basic cooking pans, dishes and silverware. AC works well as does hot water. Rooms have safes for valuables. Elevator works very well. Not a fancy place, but very comfortable and reasonable in price. Staff is very friendly and helpful, most speak English. Breakfast is served in the outdoor entrance area. Food is fresh fruit with yougurt and nuts, coffee, toast, scrambled eggs and beans. Not really any meat. Fine for a few days, but gets old, if staying a week or two. It is served promptly from 7am, so if you are diving or have an early tour, it is great as the other breakfast places downtown are usually not open that early. Great location, just 1 block off the main plaza, with tons of restaurants, shops, spas, bars, banks, ATMs, etc within an easy walk. Fairly quiet at night, no loud clubs nearby, which is a problem at other places.

The room was clean and nice. The location is great right in the center of everything near the ferry port. The accommodations are basic, but the ac works well, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was good, and as a bonus you get to go use the pool and facilities at casa mexicana. Overall if you want a quiet hotel with basic accommodations in a great location, all at a reasonable cost, I would recommend the colonial. If you want something with anything more than basic amenities I would look elsewhere, but you will definitely pay more for it. My only major complaint is about the shower. The water pressure was low, the temperature would change randomly, and the temperature took a while to change after you turned the knob. This makes you spend a lot of time trying to dial in the temperature, waiting for the water to change, all for the temperature to randomly swing the other way a couple minutes later. If they were to update their plumbing my experience would otherwise have been ideal.

The room was very big and clean. The bath was also big and clean. The room was as we expected. the breakfast is served in another hotel (5 min walk). The staff were extraordinary kindly and helpful. The location is perfect and it is close to everything. very close to the ferry. there oxxo supermarket very close. the kitchen includes all the things that you need to cook. but the stream of the bath room is weak. In addition, there is a big fridge.

Great getaway spot. Within walking distance to stores and restaurants and a short taxi ride to anything else. Beautifully landscaped courtyard and very friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

The staff is wonderful and courtyard is beautiful, and room ok for this price. However the hotel is next to a big noisy street and restaurants that may play loud music until 3 am or later in the morning. Our room was at the back, furthest from the road and restaurants and still it was incredibly loud. At times the nouse became incredibly stressful and it really ruined lot of the stay for us. I would not stay here again. Also the hotel is far (20 min walk) from town centre and you need to get a tuk tuk etc. To get there. The wifi was also very bad or nonexistent in our room.

We loved our stay here! The room was clean and spacious. We were in the Sabal suite and the pool overlook was gorgeous. I loved going down for coffee in the morning and reading on the balcony. If you stay on a weekend the music from the bar is loud, so I just put headphones in. If you like night life might not bother you, but we were all about daytime activities. The staff are so friendly. I loved chatting with them and they were extremely helpful,

Nice hotel with a pool. The suites are great. Two rooms and a proper living room with a kitchen. However, during our 7-day stay the internet was consistently bad. This is something that needs to be fixed. The hotel isn’t right downtown, so a car or scooter is recommended.

The Staff was just Amazing! They made the whole stay worth it ✅ the room was very clean designed well. If you don't have Transportation you will have to walk around 15-18 min's to the Beach 🏖️ front but it's excellent exercise. I do plan on visiting again ✨

The bungalow we booked was so moldy and damp. It was run-down and wasn't clean. The shower is half outside and had mushrooms growing in it. We had people in the room above us and we could hear what they were saying word for word it was so loud. We moved rooms to another king room and it was definitely an improvement but still had some mold in the air. It didn't even have a shower head, just a pipe spraying a jet of cold water out. The hotel is next to a fire station too, so loud alarms going throughout the night. It's not worth the money, stay somewhere else.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Flamingo Hotel! The rooms were clean and The location is perfect just a couple blocks from the ferry and in a nice quiet spot. The owner is super accommodating and there is a delicious bakery right next door!

We enjoyed our stay here at Flamingo immensely! The entire staff was welcoming and caring. And it was really nice to see the same staff day after day. Our stay was 16 nights, and honestly I'm not sure when they take a day off. We got to learn a little about each of them. Breakfast was fantastic, short menu with a great variety that you could order from with a perfect variety, and everything was prepared to order. Fresh coffee every morning, plus tea was available and juice with the breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with the choice of when you wanted them cleaned. The area was really quiet. We were even there over carnaval, and while we heard complaints from people just a block closer, we ourselves heard no noise at all. And it's just 2 blocks off the square. We had one small issue with the air conditioner, and they immediately switched rooms when the tech wasn't able to come that day. In the end, we were very happy with our stay, it's the perfect place. Easily within walking distance of activities, music, restaurants, the water, a bakery, a brewery, and a distillery all on the same block. Close to the hospital, close to the taxi stand....and still very quiet. Could not be a better location. Plus the rooftop lounging area and pool gives gorgeous views of the city and the water both. Thanks for the great stay!

Me and my wife had a great stay at the flamingo hotel, feb 9th - 14th. The hotel is in the perfect area, close to the downtown but not to close , lots of local eateries and cantinas within walking distance. The rooms are clean and the facility is well taken care of. I also enjoyed talking to the staff Tom/Oscar are very knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely stay again.

We spent a week at the Flamingo Hotel in April and were charmed by the place. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and courteous. We will not hesitate to return to this magnificent hotel.

Spacious room! Key card to run the air conditioner. Bathroom is golden. Yes WiFi. No TV. Rooms center around courtyard/bar area, where breakfast is served. Staff is SO helpful!! Free breakfast is dyn-o-mite! 1 block from the water's edge. Restaurants and shops all around.

Great location with everything in walking distance. Hot water is an issue, but it was so hot in November that the cold showers were refreshing. Hopefully, they will have the liquor license issue resolved before our next trip. I will definitely stay again. Recommend the king suite with the balcony overlooking the Calle 6.

Outdated, no parking, no elevator, and if you come back late at night you have to wake up the sleeping night worker by banging on the door to get let in…No tv in the room, major ant problem also…. The GOOD would be the made to order breakfast in the morning, altho I have not used it (My fiancé has though). And the cleaning staff are super friendly. We will not return though as there are plenty of better options at this price point.

Me and my friend came to stay here as we visit Cozumel often and wanted to try a new resort out! First and foremost, I find it awful that all the reviews shown as “relevant” are all 5 star reviews discussing how amazing service and food is…. ??? I majorly disagree, anytime we need a drink or want to order we have to go up to the bar to do so. We are not receiving service unless we make the effort to go to the bar. With regard to how small this resort is I’m highly confused on why the service is lacking. The food is average, but when paying for an all inclusive is like to have more food options as well as a longer window to order food. They stop selling food and alcohol at 10:30 PM, you cannot get room service after 9PM etc. The only thing here that I don’t have a complaint about is the room, but the only options for food at dinner is a buffet and it’s the same food every night. We booked for 6 days under the impression this would be an all inclusive with options to eat yet that is not the case. The hotel staff seems to not understand English very well which I understand, but it doesn’t make our experience here any easier when we have issues and we’re not being understood correctly. There are plenty of resorts we have stayed at in Cozumel that we don’t have this issue with, so I’d say to book somewhere else and save your time. (: Adding and edit to my review: I saw reviews about stains on sheets and hadn’t noticed it but here ya go! Not a big deal, but still.

We got off our cruise ship and asked a couple of ppl where we could go to do some walk in snorkeling and get drinks and food. El CID was suggested and Leo took time to show us around before we purchased a day pass. I thought the price was well worth it and found the wait staff to be extremely accommodating to our requests. It started to pour and we were welcomed into the hotel lobby to wait out the afternoon downpour. We had drinks, nachos, tacos, and a buffalo chicken wrap and all was very tasty and fresh. This is not a 5 star resort but the service we received was excellent and we had no problems getting drinks or food when we wanted them. I think all of the workers here were all very friendly and happy to be helpful to us even though we only had a day pass. This is just off the main cruise pier and the pool, and facilities were just fine.

I loved it!! Didn’t want to leave. Service was great, food was great and drinks were GREAT!! Spent some of my honeymoon here with a day-pass during our cruise. My husband and I had a massage on the beach and it was incredible, also did some snorkeling it was so much fun ugh I am definitely coming back!

We were on a carnival cruise and went to El Cid for the day. It was great! We snorkeled, i tried scuba diving (didn't work...), husband went scuba driving, ate lunch, had a drink. I will definitely go back on another cruise! Or maybe even to visit.

We enjoyed our stay at El Cid. Our room was okay, but the view from the balcony was beautiful. The food was average and there were quite a few flies around. The tables need a little fan to keep them away. There were a lot of ants on the sandy beach area. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful! Perfect for both adults and children. Everyone can find something they enjoy. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend choosing the all-inclusive option. The gym is well-equipped, and the view… simply breathtaking!

We were on a cruise and bought day passes while we were in port, its a short walk from the pier. There were plenty of loungers and water access for swimming. The food and drinks were included so it made for a beautiful 1st stop on our cruise.

A true utopia! This hotel has incredible potential to elevate its exclusivity. As one of the few hotels on the east side of the island, it’s truly a hidden gem. Everything about our stay was fantastic—the service, the restaurant, and especially the breakfast (I’m still dreaming about it!). We spent four relaxing nights here, and it was pure bliss. The beach feels like your own private escape, and if you have your snorkel gear, you can swim and explore right off the shore. Best of all, every single room offers an ocean view! The service is impeccable, and the food is just as exceptional. The only minor drawbacks are the distance from the ferry terminal—you’ll need a car to get here—and the limited WiFi, which is only available in the restaurant area. Since I was working for a couple of days, I had to set up in the lobby, though the coconut trees, iguanas, and stunning beach views certainly made it hard to concentrate! I would come back for sure and highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing vacation.

The opposite of overwhelming and busy. No cruise ship beach clubs or crowds here. Just peace, delicious food and delicious drinks! Amazing attention to detail. It's a slow, calm, tranquil place here. You could solely stay here for a few days and just eat and drink here only whilst relaxing. Shoutout to Moises - so kind and caring! Dream of coming back one day!

Absolutely fabulous stay. If you are looking to get away from the cruise ship side of the island and just enjoy the incredible beauty of Mexico, this is the place to go. The view incredible, the service excellent, the rooom; spacious and clean. The food wonderful and the bar next-door a really good time. We will absolutely be back!!

This is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway, an intimate friends' gathering, or a close family retreat. We love the place, especially at night. Great place to reconnect with Nature and your loved one(s) without sacrificing comfort.

Hotel is remote on East side of island. View however is incredible and staff went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. Drinks delivered at their own private beach or Pool, let us select our own room, arranged all travel needs, and gave us bucket of ice to retire to our room every night. Meals are served at hotel and quality is good overall. View at night on sand balcony with chairs, hammock, and lounge sofas was outstanding. Seaweed was bad, but not hotel's fault. There is a good beach restaurant about a mile South and a good beach club for swimming about a mile North. Be advised hardly anything on this side of island has electricity and most places close around 6 pm. Hotel does have electricity and air conditioning from 9 pm until 8 am every day. Overall, if looking to really unplug, this is an awesome place. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay memorable!

Well the place is a paradise. Is really calm and you will enjoy the best part of mexico. It is not crowded and the rooms are the best that I have ever seen. Only one bad note: one day I was really hungry because the dining opens at 3:30 pm and I was sitting there since 2 hours. When the people came after 3:30 they were already served and I am not talking only to one table but 2 tables with families. My order was not taken in account by Moses (and it was not a matter of dishes), but really prioritizing other external visitors before the internal that live in the hotel (should be the contrary if you want the clients come back).

Recently booked a couple nights here! Place is super cute and quiet neighborhood. Loved our hotel, I just didn’t realize the kitchen was separate from the unit unlike the pictures and you can hear people throughout the day in it. It wasn’t too loud, and we were mostly out and about. The unit itself was nice and clean. AC worked great. The only downside you do need to rent a scooter or car because nothing is close by I mean you could walk to the restaurants and stores but it’s probably a 15-20 min walk and during our stay it’s super hot and humid but once we rented a scooter from the hotel we were able to get around. Overall loved this place! Definitely recommend if your looking for a budget friendly stay.

Overall we had a pleasant experience during the 2 weeks we were there but I was disappointed at first. Although the apartment rooms were spacious and clean the only sitting area is a small table outdoors. Certain clarifications from what is mentioned on the website-BBQ=Rusted Grill on ancient charcoal thing, OVEN=outdoor structure full of gardening weeds WASHER=laundry service @20$USD DIVE RINSE TANK=non functional tub. In Canada when staying at a hotel we usually pay at the end of the stay. Here you pay the whole amount upfront. Therefore, there isn’t a reimbursement option. Also when paying the USD price is converted to PESOS at the rate they choose. In our case 20% while most stores and restaurants were at 17%. So, we will not be returning. BTW, we were reimbursed the last 3 nights because the hotel had double booked the room we were going to change to. So it was their error.

I stayed 4 nights and the bill was $414 USA Dollars. The place is beautiful, my room was clean. The A.C. worked great and there is a big kitchen to cook your own food. The shower produces hot water. This place is a gem 💎! In the morning you wake-up to the sounds of birds calling, in the evening it's also peaceful. It's close to a grocery store also. I have nothing bad to say about this place or the people that run it. )) This is a little bit of paradise ✨️ The few dogs that are here are also pay me a visit while I'm outside 🥰

I was Greeted by Monse with a warm welcome, nice reception shop area. Went to the Cabin, located a nice distance to other rooms so felt like a little haven in the lush green gardens. My room was spacious and spotless. Two pools to use and gorgeous gardens. Nice relaxing area in the middle with large palapa and hammocks. I was there to work, the internet worked well and peaceful and quiet. Lots of cute dogs around for company. Really nice place to stay. A little walk to the main town, A supermarket close by and a little restaurant across the street. Will definitely book again on my next trip to beautiful Cozumel.

We stayed with our family in one of the cabins/houses which was very traditional and cute. The garden (or Park / jungle) is amazing with many beautiful birds, treed and plants. Anna the owner is super friendly, helpful and really wants the best for her guests. All combined we had an amazing time!

Villas El Encanto was a little jungle paradise in the city. We stayed in a cabin that was beautiful and spacious. Our favorite part was the courtyard with hammocks, a pool, and many beautiful plants and birds. It is gated and our kids loved all the dogs hanging around. This was a little out of downtown but we easily walked to groceries and dinner. The staff was helpful and called a taxi for us for the morning and let us leave our bags there after checkout while we were snorkeling and return to get them later which was helpful.

We enjoy our stay a lot. Everything nice furnished with lots of love. All of the hotel is really clean. They take care a lot about there place. We would be happy to come back.

I did some research before booking this hotel in Cozumel, as I would be diving for a day. I was honestly impressed with the rooms, the view of the ocean, the little pool and the property. So clean and bright, and new! Apparently, they have only been open for 3 years, so everything still seemed fresh! What made the experience the most enjoyable was the customer service. I had an issue, which could have been a massive headache- my husband ( in Canada) booked another night for me ( that’s how much I wanted to stay), but unfortunately booked the wrong date, which was the same day in the evening, so NOT ideal. Still, Vanessa, who was at the desk that night, was on the ball and quickly started making phone calls to figure this out for me. Her diligence made for an exceptional customer service experience, the way I think other hotels should follow. She worked everything out, and it all flowed smoothly. All of this made for such a lovely stay at Hotel Puerto Libre, and I will be going back! Thank you to Vanessa and everyone who made my stay so pleasant. ;D

Wonderful hotel! Unbeatable location, tasty, helpful staff, safe and enclosed parking, fast WiFi, very modern and nice overall. Stayed 4 nights, would definitely stay again. The only thing I would change would be to request a room away from the street which we found to be kinda loud early in the morning.

Conveniently located near the pier - we walked to the hotel with our backpacks upon arrival to the island. The hotel is a short drive to the airport but we never heard any planes during our stay. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, beautiful bathrooms with nice towels, shampoo and soap. Check-in and out was easy, and the views and patio were amazing. I’d 100% stay here again the next time I’m in Cozumel. The island is a much slower pace than the busier Playa del Carmen and prices are a bit more elevated in general but I found this property to be an excellent value and a pleasant stay. It’s conveniently located near many shops and restaurants.

We booked there 4 month ago... Booking. Com canceled our reservation, but this hotel charged us anyway. Secobd time it happen to me. And since then, Ive tryed several time to get my money back Hope this message will finally help. Next step will be legal

The location of this hotel was just short of ideal. Very close to all the major touristy spots in Cozumel, but also on the edge so you can easily escape into the more local scene with low key restaurants and bars. The view from our room was straight onto the sea, with a wonderful, wide balcony on which we could sit and relax listening to the waves. Even though there was a restaurant directly next to the hotel, it wasn’t too loud, and at times the saxophone player’s music was even a welcome interruption to a quiet evening in the hotel.

This place hosted crazy parties late at night , super horrible and noisy, people vaped despite it's non smoking hotel. worse place to stay if you want to have a peaceful stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Puerto Libre for two nights this past week and had an excellent stay. The rooms are very nice and very spacious. We had a very tasty breakfast there and the service was excellent. The infinity pool is small but we had it to ourselves for the time we wanted to be in it. You can walk to tons of restaurants and places to get drinks from the hotel. It's super close to the ferry which was nice as we were taking it directly after check out to start our trek home. We would not hesitate to book with them again.

Everything was well for us , we had a very busy schedule so we didn’t get to spend much time at the hotel but rooms where great had AC and where spacious there was a small pool for hotel guest. Location is not too bad we could walk to the ferry and lots of other places from the hotel,Front desk girl was super helpful by providing us proper information about the island. Make sure to buy lots of bug spray and keep doors close because there are plenty of mosquitos at the hotel and pretty much everywhere in the island we figured out it’s probably seasonal !

This is a great place to stay! The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. I found it to be very clean. The pool area is nice and handy to take a dip since the swimming beaches are far away. The hotel is very close to many restaurants and alot of shopping. You can also walk to the ferry, it's only 2 blocks. I would stay here again!

Service: Wonderful. Really helpful, friendly, speaks spanish and english. What do you need more. Room: huge. I was impressed. Very clean. Everything you need: big fridge, extra blanket if you get cold, AC, fan, TV, big mirror, WLAN, quiet. Close to the city center, but far enough that you can sleep in peace.

Great location close to Cozumel Plaza and Ferry pier. Beautiful garden with pool. Clean rooms great wifi my room has a smart TV and full size refrigerator. Purified water located on each floor and a microwave is available on 3rd floor. I love this hotel I have stayed 5 times. Today I extended my trip 3 more days I contact them on WhatsApp and get the best rate

The hotel is perfect for groups and families sharing a room, as the rooms are spacious and come with both a built in closet as well as a dresser with plenty of storage. Our room also included a full size fridge (very rare) which included a freezer. This was a great cost saver helpful for preparing lunches/snacks and cooling water and drinks for the beach. The location was super convenient - very central to the promenade and central plaza, and 4 blocks away in the opposite direction of the waterfront was a street lined with local restaurants, grocery stores and a market. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the owner and reception even answered whatsapp messages ahead of time and during the stay to answer questions. The hotel offered coffee and tea in the lobby, and each floor had microwaves and fresh jugs of water to refill bottles etc. The rooftop was available to hang clothes for drying.

Rooms are big and beds are quite comfortable. They have a refrigerator which is good. But rooms need maintenance and improvements. Our room had a large section of mold in bathroom walls. For what they offer, the place is expensive (about 52$/night) Some guests were noisy and kept on make nose and yell despite of time. While I walked around the neighborhood, I found several places that looked nice.

I agree with the other reviews. Cheap clean rooms with lots of space. Good wifi, lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower. Only criticism was the king bed was hard as a rock. Very good price and very close to the center of Cozumel. We went to the free "beach club" down'stairs. BYOB, BYOM (music), self-serve, cement pond instead of sea, grass instead of sand but the water was warm and clean.

A budget stay on Cozumel that does not feel like one! Rooms are simple but clean, staff is friendly, and the property is very well maintained. We enjoyed hanging out in the pool area to cool down from the day. The location is still at a very walkable distance to the central square.

Only ate once and went somewhere else the other mornings Swimming pool looked quite dirty, didn't try it The neighbourhood is safe to walk at night, like all Cozumel. 15 mins walk from the ferry. I'd choose to be closer to the centre next time On the plus side the AC worked- but for this price that's the least I would expect. Overall I would get a better hotel in the UK for this price. I would be happy paying half. Recommend you look elsewhere with hot showers and better windows

Price & Performance hotel in Cozumel. We enjoyed our stay here. There is no hot water though, only somewhat warm-cold. But thats ok as the weather is really hot there. The reason i deducted one star is the noise coming from the road. If you are not a heavy sleeper, you will probably wake up around 6-7 am when the cars & scooters start going around and dogs start barking

We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for 11 nights, and it was one of our favorite budget hotels ever. Some highlights: The pool and courtyard are cute and shady with many places to sit. It is about 4 feet deep with a shallower entry area for kids. There is free drinking water from a large jug. This was a major factor for us, as the convenience and cost savings was wonderful to have. Very good pressure in the shower, and the hot water almost always worked, which isn’t always the case in a coastal Mexican neighborhood. I loved having a free breakfast every morning. More on that later with some details for those who are curious. Each room has a smart TV and the WiFi is fast during the day. It slows at night a bit while everyone watches Netflix. lol. But the WiFi was great for our remote work. THE STAFF were a major highlight! They were all so kind to us during our long stay, and they are enjoyable people to be around. Katie helped when we traded rooms with our friend, and was very patient as we explained the situation in our very broken Spanglish (our friend accidentally booked a room with only one bed and didn’t want to cuddle with his guy friend. lol. So, as a married couple, we swapped him for our two bed room.) David, the night staff, was a fascinating fellow to talk with, and speaks very good English. He shared a lot about Mexican culture, and gave us many Spanish lessons. Also: there are no ledges or steps in the rooms. As a sleepwalker, I loved this! So many rooms in Mexico have a step to get into the bathroom. Now, some things to be aware of: No safes in the rooms, but the staff were amazing and we felt very secure. The breakfast buffet is cooked each morning by a team of sweet ladies. They have a tough job, because they have to try and guess how many guests will eat and how much they will eat. So, sometimes, we would need to wait for them to prepare more food if we came to breakfast with a rush of people. They were always very kind and accommodating if we simply asked for what was needed. It sort of felt more like staying at someone’s house in that way. Now, a review of the actual breakfast: I need protein in the morning, and happily ate the scrambled eggs almost every day. They were great with tomatoes and onions and sometimes some bacon! Very well prepared eggs, especially for eggs made in big batches. Now, if I had to pay every day for breakfast, I might have gone elsewhere because there are a lot of good things to try in the $7USD price range in the neighborhood. But the meal was included with my loyalty status on Booking.com, and I felt for a free breakfast it was nice. Our friends aren’t morning people so it didn’t tempt them most days. If you need something in the morning, it is perfect. The rest of the meal consisted of sliced papaya and pineapple, coffee with milk and sugar available, an orange powdered drink mix (not my favorite, but it is refreshing) and these bread-crackers with butter and jam. The bread was weird to me at first because I thought it was dry, but then I saw the package and realized it is sold that way in Mexico. After a few days, I got kind of into the crunch and started loving it. If we asked, the ladies would bring us warm and delicious tortillas. The coffee is good, and sometimes had Mayan spices in it. The location was one of the best things. It’s within walking distance of so many good restaurants and beaches. Our favorite dinner was tacos at Ruta 25, our favorite bakery is Maple Bakehouse, our favorite fresh juice was only a block away, and we loved snorkeling from La Aldea on the beach. Their prices are reasonable and there is a lot of reef there to see. All of that is a 5-15 minute walk away. Some have mentioned that Playa UVAs will give you a deal to get in if you stay at Luna AZUL. We found that was the case. They lowered the cost to $300 pesos and would apply that to consumption, but we found we enjoyed the local beaches more, and the natural areas. We would recommend Chen Rio for swimming and views that are free. Just our two cents.

Avoid at All Costs – Luna Azul by Uvas is a Disaster Sometimes in life, it’s just as important to know where NOT to stay as it is to find the right place. If you’re considering Luna Azul by Uvas in Cozumel, Mexico—DON’T. I recently traveled to Cozumel for Carnival, a spectacular, month-long celebration that rivals Mardi Gras in the U.S. Unfortunately, I waited too long to book accommodations, and my usual beachfront Airbnb, along with most reputable hotels, was fully booked. That’s how I ended up at Luna Azul—and it was a mistake I won’t make again. At first glance, the online photos make it look passable—reasonably clean, with well-manicured grounds. However, the reality is far from it. This place belongs in the category of “Ghetto Fabulous”—and not in a good way. Major Issues: Terrible Customer Service: The staff is rude, dismissive, and outright hateful. Any concerns brought to the front desk were ignored or met with accusations of lying—yes, they actually told us we were lying about issues with the room. Dirty, Unpleasant Rooms: The bedding reeked of smoke and sex, the shower never had hot water, and the overall atmosphere was dreary and musty. Morning Noise Nightmare: On our second morning, at 7:30 AM, we were woken up by loud banging—sounding like construction work. Upon leaving the room, we saw an employee outside smashing bicycle parts against a concrete wall with a hammer. Whether this was intentional retaliation for complaining about the hot water or just general negligence, it was completely unacceptable. Final Verdict: Do yourself a favor—stay anywhere but here. Even pitching a tent on the beach would be a better experience. At least there, the water is naturally warm. Luna Azul isn’t just a budget hotel—it’s a pathetic excuse for hospitality, run by uncaring, unprofessional staff who clearly have no interest in making guests feel welcome. Save your money, your time, and your sanity. ZERO stars. Stay far, far away. Wish I could give Negative Stars!

Book this hotel for our first night on the island, based on other reviews. Booked and paid through priceline April 2024 for our stay in Sept 2024. We arrived late evening on the 13th, after 14 hours of travel only to be told we had not paid only placed a reservation. Unable to confirm with priceline as they told me the use booking.com for the hotel. I got no where on the phone so paid again to stay. Our room was so nice and spacious, the grounds are very well maintained and the pool is amazing. The staff all very friendly and professional, even when we found out in the morning that breakfast was not included in our room and it was an additional 10.00 per person. Not really worth 10.00 but paid anyway. Fresh fruit, beans, eggs and toast. The coffe was really good and the company little LUCAS made it all worth wide. Highly recommend staying just make sure you read everything when booking. After returning home i was charged in April in full for our room so i doubke paid. Filed complaints with both priceline and booking to get my money refunded.

Posh condo complex with absolutely huge condos that borders on ostentatious. To me it feels a little like a place where your grandparents stayed and children were to be seen and not heard. I felt a little conspicuous walking through the grand entry in a bathing suit holding a towel and snorkel gear. I didn't get yelled at though. There is a large pool and hot tub and an outside shower to clean off snorkel gear. Sign up to use the grills and the staff pre-heats the grill for you! SWANK! Great snorkeling across the quiet road. It's so good that snorkel tours even stop here. We saw a lionfish (bad) and a flounder at the same time! There is a tiny area to hang a hammock under the palms and relax or you can opt to go to the Money Bar Beach Club next to the ocean access. We didn't visit but did sit on our MASSIVE condo patio drinking cervezas listening to the live music at night. Parking is through a gated entry. There is no beach but you can walk down the quiet road and access the ocean in a few other spots. The road is two small lanes and apparently one way. We found that out when the Policia stopped us. To be fair, the 'Don't Go This Way' sign was hidden behind foliage! Great location that is a short drive to town and the Chedraui grocery store and a pleasant drive to Punta Sur. If you stay on the small Coast road there are some decent looking pocket beaches about 10 minutes down the way. HINT: You can see them if you look at Google maps. Our condo (#303 on airbnb) overlooked the snorkeling area and the Money Bar. The unit is insanely large and included a master suit with large jetted tub, shower, water closet and walk in closet that was big enough to be another room! I assume the others are just as nice. Highly recommend it (even with the kiddos tagging along). Only gave it four stars because I would prefer a beach to walk on over a road. Location, location, location.

We were "wowed" this week at the Landmark! We weren't sure what we would find on the heels of two hurricanes, but the ever-present and attentive staff cleaned up every bit of the debris. We relaxed at the pool after our dives and enjoyed good food at The Money Bar across the street. The Concierge was very helpful and her English was strong! Our room was spectacular--all the amenities of a three bedroom, four bath condo complete with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. Our porch offered lovely views of the ocean. Can't say enough good things! You can't be disappointed.

I booked Unit 401 with Anis and Karla... and they're absolutely the best host!!! Our 3 bedroom 3.5 bath came in with everything we needed and more (even has toilet bidet in every toilet!). They bought 3 brand new bicycles just because we asked about it - and that saved us lots of $$$. Other than the obvious luxury that this place has tons to offer, they're also located in the best location for novice snorkler such as myself.

Everything about this place was great. Nice rooms, great decor, amazing pool/hottub and courtyard area. Beach access right across the street. Sandy was our house cleaner and is a super nice and helpful person and always happy to assist with whatever.

Fantastic. Beautiful, spacious, and serene. Not sure that I've ever stayed at a nicer place. Pool was never crowded, amazing ocean views, condo was immaculate, and felt safer than most places in the US. Looking forward to getting back there again soon.

We just spent a week at the Landmark in Cozumel and would highly recommend it. We were in room 610. The decor, bedding, kitchen were all 5 star - gorgeous and comfortable. We had a huge patio and ocean views from almost every room. The service at the front desk was impeccable - very kind and thoughtful people who go above and beyond to help you enjoy your trip. The pool is beautiful and not crowded, but the weather was a bit chilly do we only used the hot tub. The hot tub was large and kept very hot which was our favorite part about the Landmark - so many hotels keep the hot tub too cold for little kids. We set up a charge account at the Money Bar across the street and had drinks delivered after a day of diving to the hot tub. The location is about a 15 minute cab ride ($6) into town. Overall, it was a great week and we would stay here again.

It was a easy hostel. No problem to check in. There are 2 pools. One on the rooftop and another near the kitchenette. It's near the center so quiet easy to find. Thanks to have someone late at the desk for the check-in. We were sharp on time.

Great hostel/hotel to stay at in Central Cozumel. Two kitchens, two pools and two "tree" elevated locations for relaxing. Four blocks from grocery store and plenty of bars and restaurants surround the area. 15 min walk to beach.

I stayed here 3 nights in the dorms. comments about cleanliness are true. not sure about the private rooms, but the facilities doesnt seem to get much cleaning. of course if you need just a place to store your stuff and sleep for the night... yeah OK. there are few positives: location is central; rooftop pool and downstairs pool Cafe area are great and actually clean, and price is decent.

Don't let the pictures this place posts fool you, the reality is completely different once you're inside. My review is specifically based on the "bunker" rooms and the hostel's common areas (bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and pools). Generally, this place is in dire need of maintenance. The bathrooms are disgusting, especially the showers, where the tiles have mold. The floors in the rooms look like they're never cleaned, with years of dust and trash. The bed sheets are dirty, and the mattresses are uncomfortable and also stained. And don't even get me started on the kitchen—it's not cleaned regularly, the stove is in terrible condition, and the dishes are filthy. If you're a fan of cockroaches, you're in the right place because you'll find them everywhere, especially in the bathrooms and kitchen. I would never come back to this place again; staying here was a complete nightmare.

Absolutely one of the best Hostels on the island! Clean rooms, great vibe and atmosphere, restaurant has a great variety of very yummy food! Service is fantastic! The ambiance is zen, even with it being in the heart of downtown, it's still an oasis!

We booked a private room because Lonely Planet recommended the hostel. It has a cute vibe with some fun setup. However, the room is not good at all! 1) It was very noisy! There is a restaurant in the hostel which played music till very late. Our room was also right under a lounge area. For the whole night we can hear people moving around chairs. 2) All the facility in the room is just old. The wall and ceiling is very molded. I understand it is a tropical place but the hostel should try to address this and provide a better experience for the guests. I was not able to sleep on the first night and requested refund for the second night so that I could find a quieter hotel. I do appreciate them understanding the situation and refunded me the money for the second night.

Amazing days at Hostelito.The place is nice and clean. Location couldn't be better. Everything is well distributed and they have a super cool vegan restaurant inside the hostel facilities. I hired the diving service from the hostel and they have an outstanding service, good boats, and the diving instructor Francisco knows the best diving areas+is a great guide, and the photos from the dive were just next level!

If you are a diver the resort is very good. There are outdoor lockers and rinsing stations that are very good. There is a private pier they do not charge to be picked up by other scuba providers. You can dive from the shore which is nice. The food is average and menu is not deep. The staff is extremely helpful. The resort is older and rooms small... but ...as I mentioned if you just want to dive it's good

The hotel is ok not great. The staff is very good and friendly. The all inclusive meals are very so so. When I was there a few days ago it was all buffet. Location is about 5$ to 10$ into town depending on the taxi. The pool is actually pretty good but barren of character. Had there been more than 15 people at the time I might have a different opinion. The rooms are dated. I don’t think I’ll be back but it was a 5 out of 10. Best part was the little beach bar and onsite diving company. Rent and just get in the water. Nice staff there too.

The beach is nice. I enjoy going snorkelng, the coral is healthier then most of the resorts nearby. You can cross the street or use the underground tunnel access. There is a pier for dive boats to pick you up. The staff is very friendly I enjoy the breakfast at the beach restaurant and usually lunch is served there. I find lots of choices at the buffet. I think dropping the Wyndham brand might be a plus. More profit for improvements

very good for divers. they're right across the street from a dive shop that has lockers to store stuff overnight, so you can just come and go as you need to. for non divers maybe not the BEST place, but it's still great!! the food and drinks are really good, and the staff is all incredibly kind, polite, helpful, and fun. wifi doesn't reach the rooms and our room got pretty humid over the three days we were here, but those are really my only complaints. definitely a good place to stay while here in cozumel!

Fantastic place to stay in Cozumel. The service just can't be beat. If you need ANYTHING, just let Alexis know. He takes such great care of people, and will do anything he can to make your stay even better. The pool, obviously, is gorgeous, the food is wonderful, and the beach massage with Paty is almost indescribable in the best way. The hammocks in the rooms are so comfortable. I recommend asking for a mattress topper unless you like very firm mattresses, and the wifi is only really available in the public areas, not in the rooms. Those were my only two thoughts that weren't amazing.

Beautiful place, friendly owner, great extras available. A perfect place to snorkel and swim in the ocean Fri t with a beautiful pool at the hotel side. Although you must cross the street it is a very short walk to a gorgeous place!! Would recommend and return.

Everything on the website tells you internet is available and it terrible,not consistent, and spotty. The hotel is not on the water. You have to cross a 2 lane highway to get to the beach. Website says 2 restaurants, not true, only 1. Website says 2 snack bars,not true only one and they run out of food often. They start loud music before 8 in the morning, and it goes until 10p, it's awful. Shower in bathroom leaks water all over the floor. Toilet is stuck in a small corner, a large or tall person could not use it. Pool is nice. DON'T GO NEAR THE ROPES IN THE SNORKING AREA, THEY ARE COVERED IN FIRE CORAL! We stayed here for a diving trip with a group. The cost was for 7 nights, this included all meals, all drinks, and 2 tank dives a day. The dive center is directly across the road and very convenient. The beds are hard which I liked and I slept well. I would upgrade to a cabana suite room to have a place to sit and relax. The service was what would bring me back here. They really accommodated our group. The only negative was I wish the Mexican food on the menu had some spice and flavor added. Tacos needed to be added to the menu. They will probably spice things up if you asked. It would be nice if the meals reflected the culture more. I would suggest this place to groups looking for a hotel that is all inclusive. Always felt safe here.

I LOVED Casa Del Mar. We did an open water SCUBA diving certification class and other boat dives thru their affiliate Cozumel Marine World which is right across a footbridge at the waters edge. JORGE at the dive shop was kind and trustworthy and runs a great dive program. The rooms are not all for divers..but if you dive with Jorge the convenience is great! Rooms at CDM are clean and roomy. This is NOT the Ritz or Four Seasons..but you know that. And I did Not pay for all inclusive meals. BUT the rooms are like a Hampton Inn in the USA..reliably clean and totally acceptable. Most have a balcony and the staff is great. Pool was fine and has a swim up bar which was fun. Hot tub was jacuzzi..but not heated (my only gripe I suppose). Hotel has free use of a lovely beach club...but it is a 15 minute cab ride south. If you have a car or scooter I recommend going..nice sand gorgeous water..infinity pool good restaurant and hot tub bar...but againt it is a ways form the hotel. So...YES I would stay at Casa Del Mar again. Oh.daily maid service was so so clean and the beds are comfy and they made them so nicely. All good. We rented a scooter one day from the shop next door. It was fun and convenient to get to town. Keep scooter overnight so you can go to town for dinner too!

I love Casa Del Mar. I've been there three times, getting ready to go back for the 4th time next month. You can get an all-inclusive package. The food is good, but I really miss the shrimp tempura tacos that they had on the menu last year. The Alfredo needs more garlic and Parmesan cheese. I don't understand why they don't serve garlic bread with their pasta dishes. They had it on the buffet the night that they had the Mexican dancers there. The dancers were spectacular. The pool is right next to the restaurant so there's a swim up bar, which I love. There's a hot tub as well. The beds in the older room are very hard. I moved to a different room after my first night this last time and got a much more comfortable bed. I have requested the same room for this next trip in July. If you're a diver, this resort is very convenient to go over the walkway to the dive boat. You can do a checkout dive right off of the pier. I'll definitely keep going back to Casa Del Mar. The staff is wonderful and it's very affordable.

Thank you Santos for taking great care at the pool bar. My sweetheart was not feeling well, but I never felt uncomfortable sipping poolside on my own. Wonderful staff, loved the beach access.

After reading the reviews, I thought this place would be much nicer. Everything was very dated. From the room descriptions, it's hard to know what you're getting. We got the 2 bedroom room suite, which had plenty of space - easily enough for 5-6 people. But the master room had no dresser and no hot water. The beds were all hard. I mostly got the suite for the kitchenette, which was just a sink, toaster, microwave and fridge. No way your cooking anything. I'm also not sure what makes it a dive resort. There are 10 dive shops nearby but anybody can go to any of them. The staff was very nice and the location was ok if you don't want to in the busy area.

This is a great location with very clean rooms. The staff is very friendly. The view from the room was beautiful! The restaurant on the premises has great food and quick service as well.

We stay every year for a week. Breakfast is included and very good, made to order. Rooms are clean, the entire staff are so kind! Always get a king bed with a balcony to watch the ships come in. Water provided in lobby. Hotel is in a great location and centrally located. Very safe and comfortable. We always look forward to our stay, it’s like being with family. Thank you!!

Prime location, rooftop pool (great for sunsets), comfortable bedrooms and we even got a sea view despite getting the cheapest room. Breakfast is included in the price and is a very good meal - credit to the kitchen staff who made me some huevos divorciados despite it not being on the menu. WiFi was good too, no issues with working from the room

I've been traveling to Cozumel for years, this is my go to place for clean inexpensive accommodation. Rooms are clean and well kept. Location is top notch one block away from the Central Plaza. Breakfast included. The Staff is FANTASTIC, very kind and helpful. The only singly drawback is some loud music at night from the surrounding businesses.

Stayed here Feb 24-26 while visiting Cozumel with friends. Bare bones hotel, close to restaurants, bars, ferry, shops. Great staff, particularly the breakfast staff (Estela & ??). Breakfast was great every day. Pool was clean and a great place to see the sunset, cruise ships and across to Playa. Hotel was spotless. Bakery next door made every day smell good

Great location, big rooms, awesome breakfast cooked to order....comfortable beds and rooms, nice pool deck....slow elevator, but you can always take the stairs!

Very basic! Not even a chair in the room. The bed was clean & comfortable.

This is an interesting place because lots of people from Canada and the U.S. vacation here every year for a month or longer and know each other. So it's kind of like a friendly community of gringos. There is even a couple who have moved here permanently! But I must say that the room I stayed in was very average, somewhat outdated, like an older Motel 6. The location is excellent, just a half block from the water, and the free breakfast is really, REALLY good, with many different options to choose from on their menu. The service is also excellent, friendly, and you feel like they really enjoy helping you. Best of all is the rooftop area with a great view of the water, ferry terminal and any cruise ships, a medium size swimming pool, and tables and chairs. This is where you can meet friendly people day or night.

Blue Angel is not a five-star resort, but someone obviously neglected to tell the staff! Everyone from the front desk to the housekeepers were amazing! The service is friendly and personal. The rooms are basic, but they all have a gorgeous ocean view and are immaculately clean. Beds are modern pillow-top mattresses, and they are very comfortable. We prefer quiet hotels, so we were a little concerned when a concert sprang up in the garden on our first night, but the music was enjoyable, and, best of all, it was over by 8. The food was affordable, tasty, and well presented. Breakfast was a particular delight. I can’t say enough good things about the dive shop. There was some initial poor communication (we like to dive early, but they stuck us on the late-morning boat), but that was sorted out on day two and the rest of the week was effortless on our end. Our dive master for most of the trip was Julio, and he’s GREAT. Safety-focused but super laid back and approachable. (We were told that he leads local food tours in town, but we didn’t get a chance to join him.) Alfredo, the scuba valet, is a savant. I’m pretty sure that by day 2 he knew my gear better than I did. There are some other restaurants within walking distance (do yourself a favor and go to Noventas y Tres!), but I wouldn’t want to walk into town. Taxis are easily hailed and it’s only $5(US) to get to most restaurants in town.

We just love Blue Angel. The diving is so easy with them. Actually everything is easy with them, sleep, eat, and dive. The staff is great and most have been there for years. The dive guides are top notch. Overall you can't get much better than Blue Angel.

If you are looking for a diving vacation, this is your place. The stay here is all about the experience, not the luxury. It isn't the El Presedente, a place to go to the spa, get massages, and be pampered. This is for the SCUBA diving family. If you are SCUBA diving, you feel like family. They tend to your gear, valet it to and from their small fleet of boats, and help you make the most amazing dives in Cozumel. Their dive masters are incredible and help you experience and see everything there is to see. Again, it isn't the most modern place, with years of the normal wear peaking through, but that just adds the experience and the feeling of being in another third world country. It's the feeling of family and passion for fun that comes with it that makes it all worth while. If you are NOT SCUBA diving though, I'd recommend a different place closer to one of the cruise ports.

Yes, the hotel is a bit tired. However, the ease and quality of diving make Blue Angel a top choice and one of our favorite dive destinations so far. All our guides were good, but especially Julio. The boats are small, for better or for worse (there’s no head and be prepared to do a backward entry—but you won’t be crowded underwater). The scuba valet service is phenomenal and really does make your trip so much easier. Each room has a balcony with some places to hang your suits to dry out, which is also key on a dive vacation (also the ocean views are wonderful!). It’s also easy to swap out towels as often as you need. Second to the diving was the restaurant, which was excellent and affordable. There are a few others within walking distance and we highly recommend Noventa y Tres, which was genuinely a highlight of our trip. It’s also easy to catch a cab to downtown, and we appreciated that there’s no need to rent a car. I do think if you’re going to have an old, run-down building it’s important to keep it as clean as possible. During our stay there was a dust bunny of hair and a used bandaid that remained in its spot on the steps for 3-4 days. A couple times we had to ask for the drinking water cooler on our level to be refilled (maybe they didn’t want to walk up four flights any more than we sometimes did after a dive). We would have liked a comfortable chair or couch in our room as well. The poolside furniture is nice though! Communications could have been better at times. When we first arrived, we learned that we’d been put only on the afternoon boat for our first day, which meant 2 tanks instead of up to 4. We like to maximize our vacation time! We had even expressed that preference ahead of time. Everything else went smoothly though. I recommend taking pesos to get the cash discount. Overall, we stayed at Blue Angel on recommendation of a longtime repeat guest, and we could see why people keep coming back. If/when we return to Cozumel, we will almost certainly stay there again.

I had the privilege of staying at Blue Angel Resort in Cozumel during the pandemic, and let me tell you—what an experience! Not only was I there during such a unique time, but I also had the extreme honor of staying during hurricane season, and guess what? A hurricane hit the resort dead-on. Talk about a story to tell! When Hurricane Zeta started to roar through, the island went into full storm prep mode—everything closed down, and we were instructed to shelter in place in our rooms. Now, this was definitely not the typical vacation experience, but I felt incredibly safe in the resort. The rooms are built like fortresses, made from solid cinderblock, and they truly felt like a shield against the storm. As Zeta passed through with heavy winds, rain, and flooding, the storm raged outside, but inside, I felt completely secure. Here’s a quirky side note: during the hurricane, a poor bird flew into my room, completely exhausted and panicking. It was breathing heavily, so I let it rest on the table while it caught its breath. After a little while, the bird flew away, and I felt happy knowing it had a safe place to rest during the chaos. It was one of those moments that felt symbolic of the whole experience—a sense of calm amidst the storm. Once the hurricane passed, the streets were a complete mess—debris, branches, you name it. But what struck me the most was the resilience of the locals. They immediately went to work like a well-oiled machine, cleaning up and getting everything back to normal. It was amazing to see how the community comes together in the face of adversity. Cozumel’s locals are tough, and it left me with so much respect for them. In terms of the resort itself, it’s a fantastic place. Aside from the impeccable service and accommodations, it’s in a great location with an Oxxo convenience store nearby (about 700 meters away) —perfect for grabbing snacks, water, or other essentials if needed. It’s the little things like that that make a huge difference when you’re staying somewhere. I can’t recommend Blue Angel Resort enough. They took amazing care of us during the storm, kept us calm, and were incredibly welcoming throughout the entire experience. It’s a truly special place, and I can’t wait to return one day. If you’re looking for a place in Cozumel, this is definitely the one!

Great hotel at a great price. It's very centrally located right on the square. The room was always clean, the beds were reasonably comfortable, and the AC worked great! The service here is also top notch. I asked for a late checkout, because we were diving in the morning before taking the ferry over to Playa. They let me check out at 3pm for no extra fee, so I could take a shower and get into dry clothes. Highly recommend everything about this hotel! We will definitely be back.

We stayed for 5 nights and booked the studio and a normal room. The studio has a well equipped kitchen and fridge so if you wanted to save money that's a good option. The central location was very convenient for us. Short walk from the ferry terminal. The rooms were very clean with quiet AC and friendly staff. Breakfast was not great but there are so many options only 5 minutes walk away. Our favourite was probably Corazon Contento.

Location was great, close to the strip, off the main roads but close. Near restaurants, Central Park, and convince stores. Everyone was extremely helplful and polite. We used their recommended Snorkel tour which was great as well. Nayeli helped us find a moto taxi to the airport, much cheaper than a taxi and fun experience. The young man was always very helpful with suggestions and directions; the breakfast offered there was delicious and filling, great for the price. Rooms were clean, the place is beautiful and home feeling it was wonderful.

Very nice mexican hotel in an unbeatable location in the centre of town. Nice room with comfortable beds, ac and a safe. The staff is friendly and accomodating, I got help and recommendations for a tour to Punta Sur for example. As a solo female traveller I felt safe in this hotel which is always appreciated of course. I can really recommend it and if I return to Cozumel this is my first choice.

Great space, great staff and great location. The shared kitchen was an excellent feature to be able to make our coffee and some simple meals. The resident turtles were a very fun addition to the courtyard. Surprisingly quiet for the area, walking distance to everything.

Spent Xmas here yesterday. Had a twin room that was more than comfortable. Was a quirky place with lots of memorabilia dotted around. The breakfast was nice and nice price. The location was seconds away from the centre square. The turtles were cool to watch.

At the front desk, a very courteous gentleman welcomed us. He was very polite and very friendly. Thank you for your hospitality, Sir! This place is a no frills spot, but very clean and have a shared kitchen if you want to bring your groceries and cook in the kitchen. If you want to eat outside, this hotel is in a prime location for restaurants and bars. 5 stars for me for the value for money service and ambiance.

Really nice place to stay! Cecilia and Jorge were such an amazing staff, they help you with everything and know all the good places on the island. I stayed 4 nights in a big private room. It's very clean and they have everything you need, good kitchen, garden, swimming pool. It's very cheap for what you get. Location is 15min walking from the ferry and 10min from the center. I rented a bicycle and went to some beaches with beautiful reefs for snorkling.

The room I stayed in had no real windows or air flow at all and smelled quite bad, like mold or mildew. I mentioned this to the American 🇺🇸 owner and she started complaining about how needy tourists are. I was taken aback by the response and after that began to feel that I was paying too much for the condition of the facility and attitude.

If you are in a budget this place is great, clean, comfortable , the ladies at the front desk are super sweet. It has a small pool, shared kitchen. Location is good away from the touristic area just a few blocks .good Restaurants near by, supermarket.

British tourist couple aged 25-30 travelling central america, stayed at caribo march 2025 for 4 nights. Cute guesthouse, large private double room with kitchenette and en suite felt like a mini studio apartment making it feel very self contained and self sufficient. Clean, quiet, safe, friendly owners/staff. Has a small dipping pool. 15 mins walk into town, 5-10 to nearby supermarket / launderette. Whilst it could be closer to town it was a very nice and quiet place to sleep / rest during our stay. Would recommend.

I went to Cozumel for two days to go snorkeling and stayed in a private room at Caribo Cozumel. It was affordable and the staff were very kind and friendly. Everything was very clean. The back area has a little table to sit at and some hammocks. The dipping pool was lovely and calming. Kitchen was nicer than it appeared in photos. Compared to what other reviewers said I did not find that it was close to many restaurants. I walked by a few that were closed and ended up finally finding a Venezuelan restaurant that was delicious. A heavier/thicker blanket for the bedrooms would be nice, some milk/creamer for the complimentary coffee, or a way to heat up hot water for the complimentary tea bags. Otherwise this place was lovely 😌

For the price of this place it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the overall hotel itself is kept very clean. The pool is small, but a fantastic way to wake yourself up in the morning by plunging. The grocery store and an Oxxo are very close by. Restaurants and other food options near by as well. The front of house staff are all fluent in English. If you are looking to travel and budget on accomodations this is a very great spot to do so.

I really enjoyed staying here. The room was VERY clean, plenty of electrical outlets, comfortable mattress, hot water, good AC, nice pool, great staff, nice kitchen area, drinking water available. It's not right in the town center, but only maybe 10 minutes walking and a number of good restaurants supermarket, convenience stores, money exchange, etc. within easy walking distance. The mototaxias will take you practically anywhere in town for $40 pesos ($2 USD). Overall wonderful value for the price. Thanks!

Not an all inclusive by any means. They did have breakfast which was okay and lunch that was just so-so. They charge you for everything you want to drink except water. There is a store down the road and it is safe to walk there or anywhere for that matter. Good folks....just a bit expensive for what you get. If you are there to dive, it's a good place and they have boats and dive masters right there for you. Just not a luxury location by any means.

This was an amazing resort. Very clean and staff is helpful and prompt. Food was good. Dive shop and boat dives were well organized and the dive guides are knowledgeable. Traveled with a group of 21 ranging from novice to very seasoned divers and everything was very well organized throughout for all of us. Thank you to the resort staff, dive shop staff, boat captain and dive guides for an excellent trip and experience.

We loved the place. The place is not fancy, but everything is clean. The personnel is awesome. The dive shop has what you need, and they will always help if needed. We had 5 great days of boat and shore diving. Night diving from the shore was always an adventure of photography opportunities. We will be back. Thank you Scuba Club

Had an awesome time here on a group trip with coworkers. The service was immaculate and the view from my room was gorgeous. I can't speak on the diving as I am not certified, but my friends all said that it was awesome (they really loved the shipwreck dive). 100% would recommend this place, each room was unique and the ambiance was great!

For a diving resort it was great. The front desk will go out of their way to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. This is not a resort for those looking for lavish. The food was good not excellent with plenty of choices, daily specials, and good portions. We did dinners in town trying out various local spots for authentic local food and experiences. The diving was well run and they provided everything you will need. We brought our own gear and were thankful for the fresh water tanks to rinse after the dives. Lots of amazing dive sights. We had a great time!

We stayed here for Scuba diving multiple times. Relaxed atmosphere, great staff that care, some have been here over 30 years. If you want great diving with a trusted operation, look no further.

Stayed here because it has great reviews but our group experience was not that great. Pros: great food, nice rooms, great view, Daniel is a good divemaster, the resort itself is laid out nicely Cons: large and slow cattle boats with lots of people on them (16 on ours) - takes about an hour to get to the dive sites No food type snacks given between dives - only water and mango juice A couple of the guys at the dive shop are RUDE when you ask general questions and one literally rolls his eyes when you bother him (they don’t work for tips) and they chase you down and make you pay UP FRONT for extra boat dives instead of at the end of the week. On site Restaurant closes at 5 so if you miss that the closest restaurant or store is 1/2 mile away The shore diving is not very good- there’s only a few man made reef objects out there Our WiFi didn’t work very well most of the time- we had to go down to the restaurant area to get a good signal Overall- it’s okay but won’t stay there again. The overall vibe around there is not very friendly or welcoming. It almost feels like the staff is sick of dealing with us stupid tourists.

Great location. Nice room but without a window. Don't ask the host about snorkeling tours. Just book somewhere else. We were promised a small group snorkeling but ended with a big 22-24 people group and snorkeling places weren't amazing + with no toilet. It will be cheaper and better to book elsewhere. Saw more in beach clubs for free.

The only good thing about this place is the location. The host Theresa is extremely rude and the communication from the start was terrible. Very unpleasant woman to deal with. The place itself (nothing like the pictures) is like a hostel with private rooms. Very basic and the beds are super uncomfortable. Cheap old mattresses. There are many other better places on the island, do not stay here it is just not worth it. Also be aware of all the fake reviews on here (many people who have reviewed this place have no other reviews, so are clearly fake). And the host conveniently does not recognize the reservations or names of the guests who posted negative reviews. Avoid this place at all costs. And yes, I did stay here!!!

I stayed for a couple of nights. I got welcomed by the lovely owner Teresa (hope I'm spelling it right) that made me feel like at home. The place is located conveniently in the centre and isn't too noisy. Definitely will come back!

We stayed here for a week Mid July and had another wonderful stay. Our first visit was this past November while in Cozumel for the Ironman race, and chose to come back because of the friendly owner and value of the stay here. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable (a king sized bed both times in different rooms), and the location is great - you can walk from the homestay to most places in the Centro area. While the rooms are private and secure, we enjoy meeting other guests staying here in the common area. In rating hotels, restaurants, etc... I always consider the price vs the experience. This past July was my third visit to Cozumel, and Casa del Solar is the best value IMO in the area. We will be back!

I almost hate to share what a wonderful experience I had at Casa del Solar Centro because I don't want it to be full next time I come to Cozumel. Theresa was beyond incredible working with me as I kept extending my stay there . I couldn't want a better location : on the quiet side of town but very great access to the Centro. The courtyard was fabulous . Of course I cannot leave out Mr Cuteness 'Bookings' ....Theresas official guest greeter . You will not be sorry you stayed here !!!

The location of this hotel is amazing , only 2 min walk from ferry and 2 min walk to taxi station, 2 min to the ocean view . I really enjoyed it and owner Teresa had been really helpful and answer questions any time of the day. I left my passport back in US , and my family shipped here, Teresa helped to correct the address and received it for me 🙏💗

Before the owner Theresa replies back saying she does not have a record of my booking or it is a mix up, I just want to say that I did stay there. The place looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms are damp and have a terrible smell. The walls are paper thin and Theresa is a very rude unpleasant woman. Bedbugs and lots of mosquitoes in the rooms. Avoid this place like the plague.

The hotel served its purpose but is definitely not a 4-star experience. I’d rate it somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. We booked this hotel last minute after my daughter got motion sickness from the ferry ride and needed a place to recover. Instead of using Priceline, we opted to book directly with the hotel since there was no price difference. The front desk staff didn’t speak English, so we used Google Translate to communicate. Despite the language barrier, the receptionist was kind enough to give us a tour of the room before we confirmed the booking. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist area near the port. While the distance didn’t bother us during the day, walking around at night felt a bit unsettling as the streets were quiet and empty. The property itself is old and in need of updates. The air conditioner in our two-bedroom unit leaked water onto one of the beds, and there was a faint sewage smell in the room. The kitchenette was a nice touch, but there was no dishwashing soap provided, so I recommend washing any dishes or utensils before use. The blanket was surprisingly thin—almost the same thickness as the bedsheets—and there was no microwave in the room, though one was available in the breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, we skipped the free continental option after seeing it. It consisted of some sandwich bread and cereal, served in the courtyard. The Wi-Fi signal was decent, though it had weak spots in certain areas. The pool was surprisingly deep, which the kids enjoyed, but it was the only real highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the property looked much older and less polished than it appeared in the photos. If budget is your top priority, this hotel might work, but keep in mind it’s a bit out of the way and very dated.

Let's start with the bad part. When we check out the lady came up with the towels and told us they are dirty and we have to pay extra for the laundry. Check the pictures, are they seriously dirty? Otherwise aren't they washing them or what? I was probably travelling for 4 years in total in my life and that hasn't happened to me before. Besides that, the rooms are clean, the pool is nice and the wifi works well. We had hot water and the water pressure was good. Also liked the breakfast - check the pictures. All in all I would say you get what you pay for.

Very bad experience. Poor service. Lazy staff. Breakfast is a big joke!! There is only a kitchen with coffee and fruit On check out the lady was checking if the towels were clean enough otherwise she would charge us for it. No cold water to drink. There are huge water tanks outside (so warm), but no machine, so you have to lift them and try and pour it into a glass or bottle, which is not so handy. Also only 4 tables for 10+ rooms. And very loud pool area till late, even that the pool should closed at 20h; at 22h there were still kids playing and screaming. Not recommended at all!!

I booked this hotel at 10:35pm on a Saturday night for that same night. We had an emergency that caused us to have to stay in Cozumel overnight unexpectedly (instead of returning to Playa). Since this was an extremely last minute booking my expectations were pretty low but I think this place would have exceeded expectations even in a normal situation. The woman at reception at 11pm was so kind and nice. She explained the room numbers are in the Mayan language. The continental breakfast was good (but coffee had clearly been sitting out). The pool is surrounded by hammocks and Acapulco chairs. The room was basic but considering you’ll want to spend most of your time outside in Cozumel, I think it’s a great option. Not luxurious by any means - and priced accordingly. Clean and nice staff. Will return!

Nice little hotel in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Mexican sweet breakfast with bread, sweets and different flakes and coffee. We used the kitchen to cook our own dinner. The rooms are fine for the price and the pool is very nice after a long sunny day. We preferred the king bed room because it was a bigger then the other double room.

You cannot call this a boutique hotel. The rooms smell mouldy. Probably because the shower is not properly closed off from the rest of the bathroom. There is some bamboo with gaps in between so after a shower the whole bathroom is soaking. Although the recepcionist said we had continental breakfast, there is no breakfast, just some coffee and fruit. There is a tiny kitchen you can use but you have to buy everything yourself... And then also do the dishes! There are only 4 breakfast tables for 11 rooms. And they wanted to charge us extra because the towels we used for a couple of days were too dirty. We don't need new towels every day, better for the environment. But yeah, sometimes towels get dirty from people going to the beach and sweating. It is not like I took my make up off with it or cleaned my shoes. It is OK, but for sure not a boutique hotel

The room was nice, the breakfast too. However, they are not compliant if you need to change the dates and refund the excess. Cozumel was nice too, the location was not so far from the central place but there isn’t that much to do there. The price was expensive. ~130US$ for 2 nights…

Excellent little community on the waterfront. Easy access to diving and fishing. Snorkeling right in front of the resort. On-site security, and easy access to groceries. It is far enough out of downtown to not be affected by the cruise ships, and has an excellent restaurant within walking distance (Dona Chelys).

What a beautiful place👌 Security entrance and very helpful/nice staff. The house was massive and had a great view. Private beach with scuba pick ups from the dock. Definitely recommend to stay here 🙌

This is a great little spot out of town. It has its own pier where you can have your scuba dive company pick you up. They also have a scuba rinse tank. It's location is ideal for scuba because it is near all the great dive sites. It is secure and very well manicured. The pool is nice and clean. It's a little bit far outside of town. Taxis are $15 to town. We stayed in D3. You may want to rent a car. You can also order food and have it delivered. You have access to the ocean via a ladder from the pier or a very small beach.

Amazing staff and very friendly. I loved how it was gated and the beach area was private. The outside area and the pool was very well kept. The water was calm and easy to get into unlike some other places throughout the island. Overall I was very happy with my stay and the facility.

The people are friendly and helpful. The view is stunning. The houses are beautiful and high-quality, although we did have some issues with the WiFi, as it wasn't accessible throughout the whole house. We stayed at D1. It's right next to a small beach which is insulated from big waves by a coral barrier. It wasn't a big, sandy, white beach like I expected, but I still had a wonderful time. They also have a nice swimming pool. It is perfect for scuba divers because you can just walk to the pier and get in a boat. I woild definitely come here again.

My friends and I loved this property. The owners, Patricia & Cesar, are very welcoming, and all the ladies from their staff are also very friendly, kind, and prompt to help you with anything you might need. Maria the cat is lovely and also super friendly! I stayed in the Angel room, which I really, really loved, I'm a big fan of Angels. There is a lovely mural beside the bed, the balcony has a hammock swing that was perfect for watching the stars at night, the shower has a huge bathtub with blue tiles and a beautiful angel wings shower curtain, the room key holder is a Frida Kahlo's heart, the room was comfortable, AC available, plenty of space to place your stuff, place is really quiet. There are about 6 rooms, the hacienda was fully booked during our stay in the Easter long weekend, however never felt crowded. Guests politely greet each other when running into each other -Buenos dias/noches! :) The hacienda has a lot of character, and every corner of the house has beautiful Mexican art and decorations. You can sit outside and enjoy a big garden full of trees and flowers, there are many outdoor chairs or a hammock to enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment beside the pool. There is also a jacuzzi to relax at the end of the day, if you want a massage there's a SPA available. You have the chance to enjoy a traditional and delicious Mexican breakfast every morning. I loved the chilaquiles (my favorite!) There's also a fully equipped outdoor kitchen where we made some quesadillas :) There's a Bodega Aurrera supermarket just around the corner where you can get groceries or anything you might need. Right beside the supermarket there's a taxi site ready to take you anywhere you need, ride service to go downtown between $60 to $100 pesos and takes about 10 minutes. Patricia the hacienda's owner mentioned that it took her 5 years to accomplish her vision of having a B&B like that. You can tell that lots of love and dedication were poured into this property to make it a beautiful hacienda for guests to enjoy!

Just returned home from my 4th trip to Cozumel and second time staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast/oasis. The ONLY thing that could be a deterrent is that it's a bit further away from the beach clubs/waterside. By bike, moto or cab, even by walking, it's totally doable. Amazing breakfast. Awesome staff. Smiles all around. The place is a little piece of heaven. You can also just enjoy staying poolside with classical music playing all day. Maria, the house cat, is always there to say hi (or meow). I'm going back, 100% (more like 150%)

The hotel is beautiful, and I loved the decor. Check-in and check-out were super easy and quick, and the directions to get there were very clear. The location is great, just 10 minutes from downtown Cozumel and about 10 minutes from the airport by car. Right next to the hotel, there’s a supermarket and a taxi stand, which was super convenient. The owner is kind and friendly. When an issue came up, he resolved it quickly and always replied to our messages right away. What we enjoyed the most was the pool with the jacuzzi. It was perfect for relaxing, and we loved soaking up the sun. The hotel includes breakfast, and there are several options like eggs, coffee, and fruit with yogurt. My favorite was the fruit with yogurt. There’s also a super friendly cat that lives at the hotel. She’s definitely the soul of the place! I stayed here with my wife, and we had a great time. We totally recommend this hotel in Cozumel.

This gorgeous stay in Cozumel , Mexico has to be the most beautiful experience we have had in Mexico. The attention to detail of the Place is beyond beautiful . Truly makes you feel like you are living in a dream. The hosts Patricia and Cesar are so welcoming, caring and fantastic. We love our room It was big and perfect for my family of three . The pool is so big and so fun ! The kitty Car Maria loves cuddles . Our son loved her. The breakfast included was so delicious ! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Hacienda Boutique. The decor is stunning, Patricia and Cesar were great hosts, the breakfast has about 10 options for all tastes, everything is clean, the hotel was super quiet as well... couldn't be happier with our choice of acommodation. A beautiful and relaxing boutique hotel that helped making our stay in Cozumel very pleasant. The island's urban area is not great, and Hacienda Boutique Hotel is in fact a small oasis in the centre of the city. The house is decorated in Día de los Muertos style, the kitchen is beautiful, the swimming pool area is great, and the gardens are fantastic. We greately appreciated our jacuzzi sessions after our long days out snorkelling. The owners, Patricia and César, couldn't be more friendly and helpful. There are just two things that could be improved: 1. the eggs options for breakfast were a bit lacking. 2. the room/bathroom really needs an extra line or implement to dry towels and swimming suits.

The place is close to the sea, great sea view. The rooms are more likely Airbnb style. They are cleaning the rooms everyday but fo the shower is in very bad shape. Maintenance is an issue. Also there are spider webs at ceiling. For the included brekfast dont accept more based on the quest number there are bananas, and melon. More to that we are nit welcomed do t accept any smily face in this facility.

Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Close enough to town to enjoy what San Miguel has to offer, plenty of excellent dining options and then the privacy of your own beach.

We had the room upstairs to the right, ocean view. Long flight of stairs to carry luggage up. Very spacious. Building could use a face-lift. Breakfast included was very minimum. To use the shower you have to run the bathroom tap for 5 min for it to warm up. Only gets warm. Never hot. Little water pressure. Bed was good. Fridge and small microwave in rm. Hot tub on grounds didn't get hot and only 1 or 2 jets worked. Beach felt secluded. Only a little walking traffic. Soft white sand. Quite a bit of kelp and churned up water so no visibility. Did swim there once but preferred to walk down the beach and swim off one of the resorts. We had a relaxing week but won't return

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. Beautiful upscale interior, kinda felt like a museum. I forgot the host gentleman's name but he was helpful and polite. Only downside is no restaurant or bar, but there are plenty of options within 10-20 minutes walk. Ocean was a little murky, but the beach was clean. Lounging area behind bushes offers semi seclusion from passers-by. Pool was small but clean. If you're not into crowded resorts but like this part of the island, I would highly recommend. There were only 3 other guests when we stayed, very quiet.

Was an amazing place! So happy we found it, the B&B was perfect for us, away from the cruise ships, but not at all far from everything! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the easy breakfast was great! The beach there is beautiful, and the home was too with all the marble and decor-couldn't believe the price it was, felt like we lucked out!

Amazing place, a real hidden gem! We were looking to book an expensive hotel in order to have a nice vacation, but instead we were lucky enough to find this place by chance. Just on the beach, with amazing view! Several animals spotted around, raccoons, iguanas. We encounter several issues with mosquitos but the personal was very kind and help us with. Great value for the price.

We stayed here for a few days over my Christmas break. The owner Dan was absolutely incredible and extremely friendly. His staff Daniel and Eduardo were very accommodating and attentive. Super comfortable and enjoyable environment. Highly recommend to anyone booking a stay in Cozumel.

Amazing hotel. The location is perfect, it’s walking distance from the airport and only a few blocks from the “tourist” part of Cozumel. The owner Dan is a very friendly easy to like person. He genuinely cares about guest experiences and is nothing but helpful to meet any requests from scooter rental to suggestions for entertainment. All interactions we had with the staff were positive and enjoyable. The hands down star of our short stay was the in house cook / bartender Daniel (he’s not the owner, same name). He was always nearby with offerings of food or drinks or just fun conversation. He is an excellent chef and definitely makes THE BEST MARGARITA I have ever had. Even though it’s close to everything, the hotel is very quiet and has a secluded/ private vibe that higher end resorts strive to achieve. I am happy to have stumbled upon Casita de Maya. We will be back.

What a wonderful stay at Casita de Maya. I am so saddened to leave. The entire staff is incredible. From Dan, the owner who lives on premises, to the warmth of Chef Daniel and Eduardo, I could not imagine a better home away from home. Love you guys!!! <3 It is close to the airport, you can walk to your accommodations. Do not let this deter you from booking. You will not be disturbed by the airport. Additionally, you are a 20-25 minute walk from downtown but the walk is a safe, easy walk. If you need a cab, just go towards the airport. It is so easy to grab a cab as they drop off the airport passengers.

Come to Cozumel for diving with my local dive shop in Virginia. My husband and I wanted to come down a few day early to relax. Searched and found this hotel. After reading the reviews,, we booked for 2 nights. Very close to the airport with a easy 5 minute walk. Do not let the closeness to the airport deter you. Very quiet and relaxing!! From the minute we arrived we were treated like family. Very quaint and clean establishment. Dan is extremely friendly and knowledgeable with anything on the island. The food and drinks are delicious. Two days is not enough. We will definitely be back and stay longer next year.

everything about this place was amazing. Dan, the owner, is down to earth, helpful, and a great host. the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the airport, and a 20-25 min walk from the center of town. the area is safe, and very easy to get to downtown by foot or taxi. the rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, there's many areas to hang out (including a rooftop to enjoy the beautiful sunset). Dan put a lot of heart into this place and it shows. Daniel, the chef, also makes a mean breakfast from his own home! this place has many repeat visitors, and it's easy to see why, highly recommended!

What can I say about this place? 1st I can say that I could not pass up staying here after reading the reviews, once our flight changed dates. 2nd I can say I AM SO GLAD WE DID! My husband and I absolutely loved staying here, so much so that my husband and I came back 2 other times during our trip to just eat, have a drink or hang out with everyone after we checked into our new hotel. Yes, we loved it and the staff that much! Dan took amazing care of us, answered every question and knows so much about the area and is willing to point you toward anything you want to do. The location is safe, we felt fine walking around and venturing out on our own. Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, well fed and had whatever we wanted to drink or eat, even when we were not staying there but came back. We even ended up heading into town to watch football and sharing a cab with Dans long time friend Gary, who is also a fixture at the Hotel. Not to mention the dogs that Dan and his staff lovingly care for who have made it their safe haven as well. We almost ended up bringing one home (but that is another story). All of this just shows what amazing people they all are. This place makes you feel like family, welcomed and cherished from the moment you walk through the door. I will go back and will tell everyone else to go there as well!

What a great property! Perfect getaway from the city. Highly recommend for those looking for something unique and yet very comfortable & stylish. Breakfast was awesome. We did an add on chef diner and they setup a nice romantic candle lit table! You definitely need to try!

Great stay in the Jaguar Villa! The room was clean, spacious, and well appointed. Everyone was super friendly and breakfast was good. We loved our private plunge pool & Bali bed. If anything, I wish the AC unit was a bit better. We ran it on the lowest setting every night and it was still a bit warm.

We first arrived to Villas Zamnas at the start of our 10 day trip. We absolutely fell in love- every detail was thoughtful, sophisticated and comfortable. The breakfast was delivered every morning to our little home and was delicious. Ricky welcomed us and he accommodated us gladly. We loved relaxing in the hammock or cabana and reading, the cold plunge pool, and I especially loved long luxurious baths in the massive spa tub. If you are visiting Cozumel and looking for a true retreat, stay here.

We stayed at Villas Zamna for our honeymoon and so glad we chose it! The location gets away from the craziness of the west shore and the dumping of cruise ships on the streets... it is quiet amid the jungle like atmosphere. The staff, especially Ricki, was extremely great... helping with anything that came up... and things we didn't think of. The chef and breakfasts are incredible... and optional dinners fantastic as well. We rented scooters (which they helped us coordinate) and east side beaches no more than 10 minutes away (or less). Loved driving down the east side stretch... while these beaches not great for swimming or snorkeling, they are much less crowded and beautiful. The west side beaches were about 30 minutes away (for the ones we wanted to go to). If you want to go to downtown area (where the cruise ships dock) it is 15-20 minute drive. Times can be less if drive car. If you don't want to drive yourself, they have driver that is great and affordable as well. Absolutely recommend!!

While I would have liked to have given 5 stars, we felt like we were unfairly charged for laundry services. We asked the on-site manager Ricky for a price. He told us 300 pesos for one bag (4-5kg). While pricy we agreed and gave him our one bag of clothes to be washed. When we got our laundry back the next day it had a receipt for 600 pesos. When we questioned the price, Ricky told us they needed to do two loads. They should have confirmed this first as at that price we would not have agreed to laundry services. Ricky explained the situation as a language barrier but it is on the resort to confirm prices with guests instead of charging after the fact. Or if you say “one bag” then give customers a bag they should use that will only cost the amount advertised.

Loved our stay! Breakfast was amazing Ricky was such great help! Dinner was pretty expensive for Mexico but was definitely delicious 😋! We loved all the people who worked here and the host was always available via what's app! I have already recorded to my friends and will send more people your way. Thanks see you next time I'm in the Jungle of Cozumel. Also close to the other side if you want away from the city but just a straight shot on the road to the city. Not far from ruins or Coconuts the famous bar of the island.

This place was absolutely magical. It's tucked away in the jungle part, but only 10 minutes to the east side shores and 10 minutes to the town. Humberto helped us get there easily with pictures of the exit and directions from the town. He was always very responsive in communications, friendly, and extremely helpful. Ricky greeted us as we pulled in, gave us a tour, showed us our bungalow, and gave us free tickets to tour the tequila farm across the street and just to the west. Anything we needed, Ricky was there to help and was so friendly and welcoming (and his English is amazing, so don't worry gringos!). We stayed in the Jaguar suite with our personal pool, private porch with hammock and amazingly comfortable chair. Blanca asked us what we would like for breakfast the previous night and would have it delivered to our porch table with either fresh squeezed juice or coffee (or probably both if we wanted). IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! The choices for the meals were varied and tasty, and the spread was always more than enough (so we took the leftover pastries and breads as snacks for our day). Truly an amazing food and comfort experience. Solar panels on all the roofs, so we could have our AC on to keep our bungalow a perfect temperature. The bathrooms were gorgeous and they provided luxurious amentities. We had rented a car in town after the ferry, so we were able to use Villas Zamna as an amazing central hub for our activities without having to be in the town. Want to go snorkeling? Money bar is a close ride (thanks for the tip, Ricky!). Want to get some good food? Town center or the west coast is also a close ride. Want to be away from everything? The east coast is ALSO a close ride. Stop figuring out where you should stay, and just go to Villas Zamna's site and figure out which bungalow you want to stay in. There isn't anything better on the island than Villas Zamna.

This is a quaint B&B with an awesome garden, pool, gazebo, outdoor kitchen and host. It’s away from the tourist traps and close to real authentic restaurants and the Mercado (market). If you like a place that has a some friendly dogs, it’s for you. Meet Bonita our friend and guardian. Don’t expect luxury, expect comfort.

I stayed four nights at Hannahs place and I only can recommend it if you want to stay a little out of the hustle of down town. But it is still walkable. At night it is really quiet at the place. There is a pool to cool down and some terrace with hammock's to chill. Breakfast was also nice every time, I took the chance. Only thing you need to know is that there are some dogs on the property so you should not be afraid of dogs or allergic. But they all like to get a belly rub and are really friendly. Hannah takes care of you and will give you tips and recommendations if you ask here. My room was spacious, there was free drinking water and a good aircon.

This was our first time at a B&B and why did we wait so long. Hannah was the best host, breakfast was excellent, and the room was good. We made three new friends with her dogs, they were great! Street out front was a little busy, but it calmed down at night so no issues. Would I stay again, an outstanding YES! The flowers are pretty and you have basically private pool as there were only a few other quest there. We were able to walk to a few places while there, very safe. I think our favorite was Mister Taco about 1 ½ blocks away. It was great! Casa Mission wasn’t bad, but there are better places for the money. I’ll say it one more time; Hannah was a great host so I would defiantly return. Thanks Hannah!

A hidden gem in Cozumel’s San Miguel! Baldwin’s Guest House exceeded all of our expectations! Our host Hannah was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay ultra comfortable! Great restaurants within walking distance and we loved the homey feeling we got with our stay. Loved the dogs too!

Have you ever experienced something truly amazing and wanted to keep that to yourself? That is how I feel about Baldwin's Guest House in Cozumel. I truly don't want to write this review out of a particular self-centered desire to keep this place's special charm all to myself. However, while that might serve my own interests, it does no justice to just how amazing this little gem is. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Cozumel, this is truly an oasis of calm and tranquility. Arriving, I was greeted not only by Hannah, a truly warm and caring soul but by her two loving dogs. Hannah quickly made me feel at home by offering cold refreshments and a brief history of her time on the island. The experience was truly top-shelf. The room was authentic, clean, and comfortable. The gardens, pool, and outside areas provided a quiet refuge and a beautiful tranquil environment to read, relax, soak up some sun or enjoy the pool. The focus is on service and professionalism and Hannah's experience visiting guest houses over the past fifteen years showcases her own desire and dedication to providing the best experience to her guests. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. I for one will surely be returning when I am back in Cozumel and will be suggesting this place to all of my friends and associates. Thank you Hannah for all that you do!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Baldwin’s Guest House. We both really loved it there! Hannah is a fantastic hostess. Breakfast was excellent! The house is very comfortable and cozy. We were able to relax. The roof top has two hammocks.The pool is beautiful. We will certainly be back. I will have a great memories of our stay. 💜

An absolutely beautiful B&B. My father had become suddenly ill on a cruise with my mother, and my sister and I flew to Cozumel to help as my Dad was in the hospital 2 blocks away. Hannah was a wonderful hostess; so full of life and energy! The breakfasts she prepared for us were delicious and filling, which fueled us well for the several difficult days tending to Mom and Dad. The property rivals any botanical garden I have ever visited. Rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully appointed. We hope to return to beautiful Cozumel under less difficult circumstances and will most definitely stay at Baldwin's.
