Italian restaurant
If you're looking to take a break from the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine, Kooben Laab is a must-visit Italian restaurant nestled in Cozumel. This charming eatery has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 2018 with its freshly made bread and pasta, crafted right on-site. The inviting atmosphere, complete with warm decor and friendly staff, makes you feel like you're dining at a friend's home.
I have a tendency to give less 5-star reviews on restaurants these days, but Kooben Lab is oh-so worthy. From their homemade bread, pasta, sauces, and tiramisu to the skilled kitchen staff and friendly, attentive wait and support staff, it's one to put at the top of your Cozumel dining list. The same menu items are available at lunch or dinner. The carbonara was supreme, and the salad with honey-mustard dressing not to be missed. I had to come back twice during the visit! Another great point is that it is NOT overpriced, really very reasonable, and therefore, dinner reservations are recommended. Thank you!

If you want authentic Italian cuisine look no further! K’ooben lab is an amazing family owned restaurant, one of the best on the island. The staff will make you feel at home and the food will make you think your Nonna made it, do not miss this gem! Breakfast lunch and dinner it’s a must for Cozumel!
Lisa B — Google review
The most important thing to say about the Laab is that they clearly care about food and that comes through in everything they serve. The ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. The dishes are creative and well executed. I have no critiques of the food and drink at all. We had: the mixed meat and cheese platter (all of which were delicious and a very enjoyed diversion from the typical fare in Cozumel), a mango-anchovy risotto that was so bright and lively, the carbonara (the best I’ve ever had. Their housemade pasta is excellent), and their chocolate cake (decadent in all the right ways but just shy of being too much). The drinks (red wine, mezcal, as gin cocktail) were all lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere - hands down. Their staff know and appreciate their food - and so they do their job well.
Terrance L — Google review
K'ooben Laab was recommended to us by multiple people before visiting Cozumel for our first time. By far the best place we've eaten on the island. Our server Joel was amazing and had the best recommendations for us. Everything truly is so fresh and the creators put so much care and time into each dish.
Brianna R — Google review
We were really impressed! It started with homemade cheese and tomato bread on the house..absolutely delicious! Then we had a great Bolognese. You can really feel the passion and love that goes into this place. Highly recommended!
Manuel — Google review
amazing!!! worth walking to go there!! prices are compatible with the food they offer! amazing pasta with shrimps and tiramisu was delicious!
Leticia M — Google review
This place kept popping up on lists of places to try in Cozumel and can confirm, it’s with good reason. The restaurant itself is slightly away from the main tourist drag-it has a cute rooftop area with creative takes on Italian staples. The focaccia and mussels with white wine were standouts-but the carbonara pasta and lasagna were both delicious. The service was excellent-they even offered to secure us a taxi when we clearly were too full for the walk back to our hotel. Definitely a must visit.
Amy K — Google review
I had such an amazing time! I’ve been to Kooban Laab so many times, and it’s been my favourite restaurant for years. I love that they always give fresh focaccia to start the meal. The portion sizes feel small, but the pasta is so well made. Also, I’m always full by the end of the meal, so one plate is the perfect size. Today we had Joel as our waiter, and he was so nice! He suggested they’re special for the day was the ravioli and it was legit the best pasta I ever had.

Breakfast restaurant
La Choza Cozumel is a popular family-run restaurant in Cozumel, known for serving authentic Mexican cuisine and regional specialties. The restaurant has a spacious interior suitable for larger groups and is open from breakfast to dinner. It's a place where you can enjoy traditional options like huevos rancheros or explore regional specialties such as huevos con chaya.
La Choza, Cozumel: A Must-Visit for Authentic Mexican Delight La Choza in Cozumel came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This gem delivered an unforgettable dining experience with its authentic Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality, and incredible value. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. The complimentary chips and salsa were a highlight—fresh, homemade chips paired with a unique salsa that wasn’t the typical red variety but burst with flavor. We ordered the fajita mix with shrimp and chicken, and on a whim, asked to add beef, which was a brilliant choice. The fajitas were sizzling, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the authenticity of the cuisine. The homemade tortillas elevated every bite. We also got a side of rice and beans, which were unlike anything we’ve had in the U.S.—distinctive, flavorful, and a must-try. The margaritas were a standout: perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant itself was spotless, with a clean kitchen that added to our confidence in the food’s quality. The taxi ride from the Celebrity Cruises port was a quick $10, making it an easy trip. For two of us, the bill came to just $50, including drinks and a generous amount of food—an incredible deal for such quality. La Choza is a place where every detail, from the fresh ingredients to the exceptional service, comes together perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cozumel!

What a great authentic Mexican restaurant. Great value and flavorful meals. We’ve eaten here twice now and not disappointed with anything. Great service and great vibe. Definitely recommend!!! Ask what the daily specials are too!!! Delicious!!!
Maggie F — Google review
Great spot for authentic Mexican food! Tons of locals eat here and a lot less touristy compared to places right on the shoreline. It was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. The decor and atmosphere were really cute too Free chips and spicy cheese dip! 5/5 The fish ceviche was really good, it's a really large portion for an appetizer. 5/5 The beef quesadillas were so tasty! 5/5 The chicken fajitas were okay 4/5 The rice soup that came with the fajitas 5/5 The service was a little on the slower side, but I guess it's on island time! Staff were all very friendly and gave us English menus and were patient with my beginner Spanish. I'd definitely come back
Carmen — Google review
The food is wonderful. The staff was super friendly. Our group had the grilled chicken, the chicken mole, the flank steak, the chicken kabobs, and steak, beef, and shrimp fajitas. We split it all so we could try everything. It was all so wonderful that we couldn't pick a favorite.
Nick L — Google review
Easily the best choice for authentic Mexican (and really Yucatán) food in Cozumel. Classic dishes like guacamole and crevice are just about perfect. Don’t miss the chicken mole poblano!! Fish Veracruz is delicate and well balanced. Portions are large and easy to share. Lots on the menu for all tastes but best to stick with the Mexican specialties. Full bar. Very reasonable prices. Super casual setting without AC but still cool even on the hottest days. We’ve been coming here for 15 years and it never disappoints. Enjoy!
Rich C — Google review
Excellent meal tucked back off the crazy avenue. Beautiful setting and the food was AMAZING and well priced. Highly recommend the Mole Chicken - it was the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely return.

Food was great, I ordered the fish and it was awesome! Atmosphere was fun and the server was very friendly. A musician played a song and sang for us with a guitar....be sure to tip him!

Guido's is a long-standing Italian restaurant in Cozumel known for its classic, seasonal Italian cuisine and laid-back atmosphere. Since opening in 1978, the restaurant has maintained consistency and evolved over the years. The chefs at Guido's blend French culinary skills with traditional flavors to create innovative dishes that please the palate. The menu features top-quality homemade Italian food, including fresh-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and their renowned seven-layer lasagna.
We went to Guido two days in a row. Great Italian food. Shrimp aglio pasta - excellent dish Garlic bread - crispy and delicious Sangria was too sweet for us but refreshing Shrimp Pizza was good but I prefer the pasta more. Love the ambience in the courtyard.

Excellent restaurant, near the downtown square, great food & service, clean bathrooms. Not cheap, water is bottled and about $3.50 each, well worth the money for a nice meal. We had a large group, can't split bill so recommend one person just pays for it and have others reimburse.
PC R — Google review
This place is an absolute gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service was fast, professional, and consistent, making the entire experience even better. The pizza was incredible, perfectly baked, loaded with fresh, high quality ingredients, and full of flavor in every single bite. The pasta was just as amazing, cooked perfectly al dente with a rich, creamy, and well balanced sauce that was packed with flavor. And the lasagna was absolutely perfect. Layers of fresh pasta, rich sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat made it one of the best lasagnas we have ever had. We also tried a few other items and everything we ordered was outstanding. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was far beyond expectations. If you are looking for the best pizza, pasta, and lasagna in the area, this is the place to go. Whether you are local or visiting, you will not be disappointed. We could not be more satisfied and we will absolutely be coming back again and again.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher. Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you. Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.
Isaiah — Google review
Amazing food. The staff are like family for the regulars that visit. I visit every time I’m on the island. The goats and green salad accompanied by the lasagna is a fav, of course that quickly changes depending on the daily specials. The house made sangria is always a good choice as you soak up the oasis type atmosphere in the back.
Wayne A — Google review
Guido's is one ofy great constants of the universe. This lovely little gem of a restaurant delivers great salads and seafood, and one of the most unique and yummy baked lasagnas anywhere. We go for the caprese salad, lasagna and their great home made sangria. Try it out and you're going to come back every time you come back to Cozumel.
Captain M — Google review
The food at this restaurant is excellent. I had the Mahi Mahi and it didn't disappoint. I also had a grilled shrimp appetizer that was delicious with garlic bread. Service and atmosphere outstanding.
Moa P — Google review
Modest storefront, lovely and spacious interior. We sat out in the garden area. I had the sweet potato ravioli and the tossed green salad. Both were fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. There was lovely Italian music playing and not too loud. The bathroom was uncommonly nice. Our experience could not have been better.

Takeout Restaurant
Casa Mission is a historic Mexican estate turned restaurant located in the heart of Cozumel. The lush garden and beautiful hacienda provide a picturesque backdrop for enjoying seafood, cocktails, and live music. The restaurant offers a diverse menu including vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With its enchanting garden space and extensive menu featuring specialties like vegetable enchiladas and lime soup, Casa Mission promises an unforgettable dining experience.
Our tour guide suggested Casa Mission for lunch and he did not lead us astray. This place was phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful, service was top notch, and the food was amazing. Our group of 10 was attended to very quickly and the soup, bread, and chips and salsa were the perfect start to our meals. We were almost too full for the entrees, but we pushed through. So good!!! Do yourself a favor and go here!! We will definitely come back!
Jes C — Google review
I am a local and I’ve read about this place on Facebook for several months so I decided to try it. Highly recommended! Great food (try the mole enchiladas), great atmosphere, Mexican music being played by a live trio. And their table side guacamole is delicious! They are dog friendly too. Some places are dog friendly but that can be a problem with the dogs that are not well behaved. When you arrive, they share a list of dog rules with you and if your dog cannot follow them they will not allow the dog in. Or, if your dog breaks the rules, the dog has to leave. Makes for a great experience!Rebeca was my hostess and she was very helpful. And Armando was my waiter and he did a great job. Try to get them to help you when you are here.
Mike C — Google review
We have been to Casa Mission several times over the years. It seams to stay the same for the most part. During this visit at the last minute it was discovered that we were in a rush to get the next ferry back to the main land. They jumped right up too the task and got us right to the boat in about 20 minutes. So good food good service and good prices. Good luck and have fun.

What a great restaurant! Such a wonderful meal; flavorful and delicious. Authentic and what a beautiful setting. Service is great and live music was a great plus. Nice restaurant for a special occasion or just because. Dress up or not, but it’s a lovely place! Definitely coming back and you won’t regret trying it!

Eating dinner at Casa Mission was a delightful experience! The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with a lovely outdoor dining space as well and evokes hacienda architecture. The waitstaff are very friendly and the service is quick! Drinks are fantastic, especially the margaritas. We had the beef steak nachos, ceviche, and shrimp burrito and everything was freshly made and so delicious. The ceviche was very refreshing, and I could eat it every day. Casa Mission is a must visit!
Emma E — Google review
Excellent place to avoid the nonsense high density tourist areas. Nice chill spot to grab some high quality food and take in some cool architecture and sights. Paying took quite a long time and our taxi was waiting outside thinking we bailed on him. I think it took 30min to pay. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, he makes it right in front of you.

We were in Cozumel as a stop on a cruise. We hired a local to show us around the island. For lunch he took us to his favorite restaurant, Casa Mission, and I'm so glad he did. You should do the same. Everything was fabulous! All 14 in our group felt the same way. Among the things we had were chips and salsa (pico de gallo), margaritas, fajitas, ceviche, queso fundido, guacamole, y más. No disrespect to the places at the cruise terminals as we've enjoyed them in the past. But if you want to venture out and eat where the locals do, this is the place. ¡Salud!

Mediterranean restaurant
La Cocay is a popular restaurant in Cozumel that offers a diverse menu inspired by Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines. The woodfired pizzas, including the Pizza Cocay and Hawaiian, are favorites among patrons. In addition to pizza, guests can enjoy a variety of tapas such as goat cheese empanaditas, sauteed calamari, and sliced tuna sashimi.
While staying in Cozumel for 4 weeks we love to visit La Cocay. Miguel was our server and did an excellent job along with the rest of the staff. This is a top notch restaurant and recommend. If you don’t like seafood it’s ok, there is plenty of other dishes to choose from. Please visit them and ask for Miguel.

We had a wonderful meal here last night, the staff were lovely, extremely attentive and kind. They could not do enough for us and we're very helpful. We ordered the mussels, fish of the day and the carbonara all were exceptional and a fantastic price. I ordered a cocktail and they gifted me the cup which was very kind they didn't have to. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!! 💖💖
Amy — Google review
This place was a breath of fresh air. Was looking for a classy Italian vibe in Cozumel and this spot fit the bill! It's off the main road a tad, tucked away on a one way street. The decor was beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was solid; I had the beef carpacio as a starter and the duck breast for my main. No drinks this time; while they have a full bar their main thing is wine (and I wasn't in the mood for vino.) For 4 people, the tab came to less than $150 tip; money well spent in my book. Highly recommend if you're craving Italian fare.)
Justin P — Google review
Typically in Mexico I want tacos and authentic Mexican food. But after 10 days here, I need to change it up and I’m soooo glad we found this gem. Great staff, huge portions and great service and the food was amazing. I had leftovers for 2 meals!!! Super affordable if you don’t have alcohol. Desert was delicious. We’ll make this restaurant one of our local favs!!! It’s also very boujie if you want to dress up for a fancy occasion. If you’ve had your fill of tacos and ready for some authentic Italian cuisine, yeah- you’ll appreciate La Cocay!!! We definitely recommend it!!!

Excellent food and service. Would recommend going there early or making reservations as the restaurant gets busy after 8:00.
Amir H — Google review
I can handle being told at 1015 as I sit down that they close at 11 so I’d better order fast. I suppose that means they want you out the door at 11. Fine. Respect. I cannot accept them forgetting I asked for my plate to be out in a to-go box along with the salad and dessert I didn’t have time to eat there. They didn’t have any to-go fork, knife or spoon they said. So I said okay, I’ll eat my leftovers, salad and dessert with my fingers in my hotel room just to get out of your awful energy that just wants me to leave. I’m a problem customer at 1015pm. What is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE is La Cocay messing up and me rushing, cutting up half my chicken dinner into finger-sized pieces to eat at my hotel with no flatware…nor napkin…but that they apparently forgot and then handed me a to-go box with, supposedly my leftovers…to discover a box of rice with half a sweet poroto thing and lo chicken. No sauce. None of the vegetables. Just dry rice and half a sweet potato thing. I’m totally offended. They probably picked my leftover half sweet potato thing out of the trash and dumped it on a pile of rice leftover in the kitchen. I paid like $25 for that chicken at the current exchange rate and they ganged me trash and stole my food. My bill was over $1000 pesos and I was rushed, pressured and hurried and they gave me trash leftovers. Imagine if I even ate this and got sick!! Totally awful experience.

Best restaurant in Cozumel! Our third year coming here, multiple times each trip. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable, especially our server Eliezar. Pizzas are an outstanding appetizer, and the pastas can’t be beat. Sit in the garden for some beautiful atmosphere. It’s a dream of place and our absolute favorite when visiting Cozumel 🩷.

Mexican restaurant
Kondesa is a top dining spot in Cozumel, offering a refined gastronomic experience in a jungle-inspired setting. The restaurant features an open dining space with a romantic atmosphere and uses locally sourced products to create traditional Mexican dishes with modern twists. The menu focuses on meat and fish dishes of high quality. With its outdoor garden, Kondesa provides an upscale dining experience where guests can enjoy local and international cuisine under the stars.
Easily the best meal we’ve had in Cozumel. First, little tortillas stuffed with refried black beans topped with mole sauce and nopales. Second, Lionfish cakes (ask for the habanero cream sauce on the side). Entrees, I had the Octopus Pastor and my wife had the Red Snapper “Mayan style”. Finished off with the dessert special, a corn panna cotta over a corn cake made to look like an ear of corn! Everything was delicious, can’t recommend this place enough!
Matthew S — Google review
I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed. The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. It felt more like something I’d get at a resort rather than a local gem. As someone who’s quite picky and came to the island specifically for the food experience, it just didn’t hit the mark. BUT—the atmosphere? 10/10. Service? Even better. They lit mosquito coils for us, sprayed bug repellent when we asked, and the staff were super attentive and sweet. Music? Absolutely fire. Seriously, the playlist was amazing. I do suspect the restaurant might be owned or run by Americans, which would explain the flavor profile. And one thing that really bummed me out: I came alone and wanted to try the Chef’s Menu, but they wouldn’t serve it unless there were at least two people. That felt a bit unfair, especially for solo travelers. Overall, this place has a great vibe and fantastic service, but if you’re a foodie hunting for bold, authentic Mexican flavors—you might want to keep looking.
Vivi C — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant and the food was beyond amazing. But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Victor and Sergio took such good care of us. We loved the unique flavors of every dish and you could tell the chef was on top of his game. Definitely will be a return visit when we come back to the island.

My friends and I had an amazing time here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the music added a perfect touch to the evening. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. I also really appreciated the decor—it’s stylish and gives the place a great atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d recommend, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Very Limited vegan options, but there is one which is very tasty (cauliflower tacos). Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. Hopefully you are not too hungry as a vegan and come for the atmosphere instead. :) Very nice light music, breeze of the open air, mood lighting, dare I say romantic, with a starry night sky through the greens. The service is very friendly and attentive. And some free parking right outside of the restaurant. Recommend.
Olia — Google review
We had an Amazing experience! We parked up front. We were greeted beautifully and we got to choose our table. The ambiance is very relaxing. It wasn't dark yet so we didn't get to see all of the lighting but it was very beautiful with all the greenery and jungle vibe. We tried the lobster fundido, the corn on the cob, dumplings and the lionfish cakes, for dinner and shared. The lionfish cakes and corn was my favorite. Don't get me wrong everything was phenomenal! Every dish had its own uniqueness and the sauces that it came with paired perfectly together. We made room for dessert and tried the special which was cornbread cake and ordered the Katrina as well. Both of these desserts were AMAZING!!! Omg the presentation was out of this world! I loved it All😍
Heidi G — Google review
Lovely outdoor dining experience with excellent food, drinks and service. Lionfish cakes and Mayan snapper were really good as was the tropical margarita with a hint of spice. Victor took excellent care of us, gave us some good suggestions and was very professional. One of the better meals of our visit to Cozumel.
Kevin R — Google review
If you’d like to taste something local, but with a modern twist, complemented by friendly service and great ambiance, look no further. And by eating the delicious lionfish patties, you’ll be supporting the local marine biodiversity since lionfish is an aggressively invasive species and a threat to the coral reef.

The restaurant has garnered a dedicated local following over the years, offering generous portions of lobster rolls, burritos, and bowls.
The best lobster in town. We decided to stop by before leaving for our trip, and we were not disappointed at all! The lobster was so fresh and tasty. The coleslaw and side of tortillas were a perfect fit. The owner was very friendly and explained to us how this all began for him. A must try if you attend the island. The roll is made of hotdog buns like the one we eat. You can also have it in a bowl or burrito. There's also options with fresh shrimps or steak at a very good price. The menu is accurate and not expensive. Well done!

We stopped at this little gem on our day trip to Cozumel. My husband and I ordered the bacon lobster rolls and they were delicious! We had amazing service and got our food quickly. If we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely stop again!
Megan M — Google review
Absolutely perfecto! So fresh, perfectly cooked, and lots of savory goodness! The lobster was so soft and buttery and the steak (I had a surf n turf burrito) was also tasty. It’s a nice touch to brown a side of the burrito, adding a touch of crunch. This place checked all the boxes for all four of us, even though we all had something different. Super filling and worth every penny-speaking of which, the price was quite reasonable as well. The Chef deserves high praise-he takes pride in his creations with limited space, he manages a masterpiece. The owner was great fun as well, very gracious and even made my husband a nice drink to help with his hangover 😆. Ok, confession time-I don’t usually like lobster, but this place has completely changed my mind. Delicious!

Ordered the lobster roll & it was so good. Toasted warm roll with buttery hot lobster & hot sauce. Did not disappoint, so good I almost forgot to take a picture. Only half of the sandwich showing 😅

The food was amazing. Such a great little spot to stop and grab a quick bite. Service was great, and we were traveling with a 2 yr old they were very patient with us. Highly recommend.

The lobster roll was sooo delicious! With an absolutely reasonable price! Definitely coming back!!!

Excellent spot for a lobster roll. Owner is super friendly, and the food was amazing! We had the surf and turf roll, and shrimp with lobster roll and the meat was well-cooked, the rolls were fluffy and nicely toasted, and were appropriately buttery. Prices were VERY reasonable. We will definitely return!

The coconut margarita sign was the draw. And I'm glad since I've never had one before. It was great! Done diving early due to rough weather so finally had a chance to go and brought a big appetite which was good. I got the Lobster burrito and my buddy got the lobster, bacon roll. Both were huge, and stuffed full of lobstery goodness. If you want Michelin star reviews you probably won't get it here, but this place should be on a don't miss site somewhere for casual hand-helds, great drinks, friendly service and good prices. It's small inside and not very fancy, but there also tables outside so plenty of room.

Burritos Gorditos is a small, family-owned joint in Cozumel known for serving some of the best burritos in the area. The authentic food is made with passion and served with Mexican flair. Fresh ingredients are combined to create savory dishes at reasonable prices. While burritos may not be traditional Mexican cuisine, this spot specializes in making delicious ones. The variety of fresh ingredients allows for options like vegetarian, egg and chorizo breakfast, and steak burritos.
This was a recommendation from a friend who lives in Cozumel. It was absolutely delicious. I had the steak and shrimp burrito and my husband had the shrimp burrito. The chips and salsa were amazing as well.

The people are so sweet, each time I go in we have a nice conversation (whether it is in English or Google Translate we make it happen)!! Plus the burritos are to die for - the vegetarian breakfast burrito and the chicken burrito are what I have had and wow oh wow they are packed with not only flavour but food! Such a good price too. I've attached a picture of the breakfast burrito.

Burritos are amazing, fresh ingredients and made with love. Beside that the owners are really caring for their guests. I had a wrong order to pick up and they went all the way to my house to super quickly to bring me the right one! All that with a smile and making me feel very welcome. 100%reccommended!

I was in Cozumel for 10 days and I went to Burritos Gorditos at least 6 times - a testament to how delicious their food is. I loved the beef barbacoa, the veggie breakfast, the spicy shrimp and the veggie burrito. The staff are also really friendly and the vibe is spot on. A must try in Cozumel.

Kinta Mexican Bistro, located on Ave. 5 between Calle 2 and 4, has quickly become a popular spot for modern Mexican cuisine. The restaurant features a small air-conditioned dining room and a charming garden area. It opens in the evening to cater to locals and tourists seeking an upscale dining experience after the departure of cruise ships.
The food is creative, high quality and delicious. The service was spot on - the right balance of being really pleasant and informative about the menu and giving us to space to enjoy the food without interrupting frequently or inappropriately. The serving size was very generous so we could have ordered one less dish... Forgot to take a pic of our fave pork dish! A very special good value restaurant.

If you like all your food to be super sweet then this place might suit you. But we like some sweet and some savory. The cauliflowers were sweet, the fish of the day was sooo sweet and buttery I thought my arteries would be clogged by the time I was done. The potatoes were okay. The corn was delicious. The only reason we went to this place was because we had such an amazing experience at its sister restaurant, kondesa. Which was amazing!!!!! Highly recommend the sister restaurant.

Went with three friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything... excellent cocktails and apps and the mains were to die for!! I had seared tuna, one friend had pork ribs, while another had a sampler menu that we all took part in.

You need to come here. This is 5 stars on all accounts The food is amazing. Wood fire oven pork ribs with Jamaica-agave glaze, rosemary potatoes, Yucatán salad with a side of fired roasted elote (corn) with 5 chili aioli, tamarind and sesame seeds. 😋 Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here. The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Come here. Get the ribs. Leave happy.

Thoughtful unique food that taste great and is good value for the price.  We tried the chef's degustation, octopus, skewered shrimp and a cocktail. All of the dishes were great and none disappointed.
Natalie C — Google review
Great food and service. The wood oven in the garden makes it cool. We took the tasting menu, which was tasty every bite. The meats were superb (pork belly and picana) as was the lobster flat bread. And also the cocktails were well balanced with sweet sour spicy and strong. I only recommend the staff to tidy up a bit more (empty wine bottles laying around, unused tables on a stack). Cocktails +-120p, 5 course menu 700p is reasonable price for this quality

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner while traveling with family. The food was presented beautifully, it tasted wonderful. The octopus was the first I've ever had that was really soft and not at all rubbery! Our service was exceptional, and when we brought back the family for New Year's Eve cocktails and dessert our server recognized us and stuck around to chat. You'd never guess from the outside what a beautiful garden the tables are in - it's so romantic and removed from the noise of the city. This is a beautiful spot and so reasonably priced for the quality of their food!

My favourite restaurant in all of Cozumel!!!! I'm a vegan, and this is not a vegan restaurant, but the chef created an amazing dish for me that was not on the menu. And every time I return he amazes me with a new and exciting creative meal made just for me. I wish they would add them to the menu. The place is amazing and the seating is mostly in their rear garden with wonderful decor and they usually have live music. On the one day that they didn't the manager Daniel sang a duet with me which was received with a thunderous ovation from the dining guests.

Mexican restaurant
Casa Denis is a historic restaurant in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, offering some of the best Mexican food on the island. Established in 1946 and still managed by its original owners, it upholds the tradition of warm hospitality with a mantra of "Mi casa es su casa." Located near the main plaza, this cozy eatery serves Yucatecan specialties such as Cheese Empanadas and Yucatecan Poc-Chuc style pork chops.
We first came to Casa Denis in 2017 on a cruise stop. As soon as we decided to come to Cozumel for a full week this year, I knew we had to make a stop here. I’ve been dreaming of the Conchinita Pibil since first having it, and they did not disappoint. My husband was also looking forward to having their chicken and steak fajitas again. We also tried the shrimp fajitas, chicken enchiladas, margaritas, fondido, beans and guac were also delish. We also enjoy that this is right in the main square, so lots of good people watching, light breezes off the ocean, and even a serenade! Definitely worth the stop and experience. 2024 update: Casa Denis is one of our favorites, and after visiting in 2017 and 2023, we made this a must eat stop on our trip and it didn’t disappoint. My daughter tried the chimichangas this time and they were delicious. I had my favorite conchinita pibil and we tried their mahi mahi fish special. Definitely recommend!

We had a good experience and were able to get a decent lunch for an affordable price ($53 for 4 people). Located near the ferry just off the Parque Benito Juarez. This local restaurant has a nice back garden area. This is not a noisy Senor Frogs. We ordered tacos carne asada/yucatecan pork and cochinita/mayan pork, quesadilla, hamburger with fries. On the wall is a menu for antojitos or snacks/appetizers that included empanadas as mentioned in other reviews – they did not have any available which was disappointing. The tip was not already added in. Overall the food was ok, it wasn’t greasy but it wasn’t anything special.
A M — Google review
I visited Casa Denis, Cozumel’s oldest restaurant located in the historic center. I ordered the chile relleno plate with rice and corn tortillas, along with two Mexican beers. They brought what I thought was complimentary chips and pico de gallo to start. Pico de gallo had some good heat to it. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request for no shrimp. Some beans or more local vegetarian dishes would have been nice but not on the menu. Lots of cheese options. When settling the bill, I noticed a discrepancy with the exchange rate. The total was 350 Mexican pesos, which they charged as $24 USD. However, at the actual exchange rate that day (18.6 pesos per dollar), it should have been $18.80. They were using a rate of 17, which added about $5 to my bill. So I would recommend bringing your Mexican pesos and asking for your bill in pesos too. The food was decent but felt overpriced for what I received, even accounting for the prime location near the main plaza. I had hoped to find more distinctive local specialties here given the restaurant’s history, but the menu seemed fairly standard. They did offer lime soup and a few other regional dishes that I didn’t try, so perhaps those are worth exploring. Service was very good. They will seat you outdoors - great for people-watching. The interior was empty during my visit, with everyone at the few tables out front. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re in the area, but the exchange rate markup and menu left me wanting more from what’s supposed to be a historic dining destination.

Wonderful spot for lunch off the main drag. Real authentic vibe in this place. Sit in the courtyard if you can. Great attention for the table from our guy. We ate like kings and spent very little USD. Fundito was fantastic. Tacos that everyone got where awesome. Flavors of everything were perfect. Got lots of bottle soda. Got some good bottle sol beer. Will be back the next time I am in Cozumel.

We wanted something off the main street. Was talking to a couple who lived in Cozumel part of the year. They suggested this cafe and the woman recommended the bean soup. We were seated outside on the porch. The server knew many of the people walking by. He would walk out to greet them and chat a bit. Told me they lived just down the street from the cafe. Lunch came with over-fried, hard chips and a very good salsa. My soup was alright. My husband's fish was dry. The meal seemed expensive for being mediocre and off the beaten path. I'm sure there's a separate price for locals.
Soo L — Google review
This place was founded in the 40’s and has the distinction of being one of the oldest restaurants in Cozumel. The food is delicious and inexpensive. This is a great stop for a quick lunch in town, or a first meal in Cozumel. The guacamole is good, but the Empenadas are TO DIE FOR.
Andrew M — Google review
Welcoming, servers do try to lure you in though. A few tables filled with people laughing and enjoying themselves. We ordered Mayan Pork Tacos, which were a bit dry and Fried Chicken Tacos, which were okay. Pico and chips were fresh! Very friendly prices! Was okay overall, but wouldn't go back.

We have been coming here for years, that’s a testament to the food quality. This year unfortunately casa Denis was a disappointment. Starting with the tex Mex arracherra, overcooked and very chewy…. Don’t order. The rich ceviche is off menu and I can see why, it was served warm and after two bites, could not eat any more. The cochinita pibil tacos were delish. As were the fried plantains

Nestled in the quiet streets of San Miguel, away from the typical tourist spots, La Perlita is a true hidden treasure. Specializing in lionfish, an invasive yet delectable species, this restaurant not only offers delicious seafood but also contributes to the local marine environment. The menu boasts a variety of seafood dishes such as coconut shrimp and grilled octopus. Its unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere makes it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Please excuse the late submission. My wife and I both had dinner at La Perlita a couple weeks ago. This was our second time dining at this restaurant previously. We had been there 10 years ago while vacationing in Cozumel. This is a local restaurant. Certainly off the beaten path from most tourist traffic to the island. It is an open air restaurant. We were quickly seated at our table. Our waiter was fluent in English as we spoke no Spanish. The restaurant is able to get lionfish on occasion and it was my desire to try this fish. I chose to have my lionfish fried with a light unsweetened coconut breading. The shrimp were very well cooked with a large serving of garlic. We both enjoyed our meals very much and highly they recommend the restaurant. The restaurant is easily accessible by taxi or colectivo.

This place is a little bit out of the way from the main downtown area, which is a good thing in my opinion. I LOVED it & they do take major credit cards. I had an awesome Shrimp Cocktail to start with & freshly caught Grouper Fish Fillet grilled with garlic & seasonal vegetables. It was all GREAT & the same staff were very attentive & definitely care about what they are doing to please you. I would definitely go again & recommend it to all! Two thumbs up from me!

Amazing ceviche, I had octopus ceviche, my wife had lion fish ceviche, and my niece had shrimp ceviche. We all really enjoyed our meals. My friend had the coconut shrimp and it blew my mind how good it was. They make their guacamole fresh when you order it. My only criticism is that the tortilla chips were a little burnt, but that’s just me looking for something to criticize.
Frank R — Google review
Let me start off by saying they let us come in before they officially opened and happily sat us down. We ordered a large shrimp ceviche to share and an order of rice, just to try it out. Glad we did. It was all delicious. The rice was really good. I am glad we decided to try it. The ceviche was a decent size to share for lunch. They bring out chips, limes, and picante with it. We tried to order lemonade, but they offered us a fresh cold coconut juice so we changed our minds on the lemonade. It was a solid choice. So cold and fresh with no pulp or any weird stuff. The staff here are very welcoming and speak good English. The restaurant appears to also be the home of some of the workers. I really liked the atmosphere of the place. It felt like a quiet place the locals enjoy.
Alex B — Google review
Cute interior and friendly staff. The grilled fish was super delicious. The stuffed Avocado didn't really hit our taste with the shrimp being bathed in a creamy sauce. In our opinion it would habe tasted much better with more natural/garlic shrimp as the avocado brings its own valuable fats. However, it might be that the creamy version is a local one? Anyways we would still recommend the place

Pescadería San Carlos is a hidden gem located in the mid-town part of San Miguel, Cozumel. Tucked away inside Bello Caribe Hotel & Suites, this quaint restaurant offers delicious and authentic Cozumel Caribbean style food with a Mexican "molcajete" flair. The restaurant is known for its incredible seafood, including fresh fish and mouthwatering ceviche.
If there were 20 stars, this restaurant would deserve every single one! The food was, without a doubt, some of the best we’ve ever tasted in our lives. Every dish was bursting with authentic, home-cooked flavors, and the guacamole was unlike anything we’ve ever had before—simply unforgettable! The chef Diego was incredibly friendly, and his family, who run this charming family-owned restaurant with him, made us feel so welcomed. Their warmth and hospitality added to the experience, making us feel like we were dining at a friend’s home. The prices were very reasonable, and we savored every single bite. As a delightful surprise, they even treated us to complimentary ice cream made from fruit grown in their own backyard—a perfect, personal touch to an already amazing meal. This was more than just dinner; it was an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re visiting the beautiful island of Cozumel, do yourself a favor and make this restaurant a must-visit—you won’t regret it!

Our best meal in Cozumel, hands down. Not just the great food, but the experience. My Spanish is pretty bad, but we all had a lot of fun figuring it out, and in the end everything was amazing. from what I can tell this is a family business, and I think we ate in their back yard, it was awesome. the ceviche was great, the fried fish was great, the lobster was great, the entire operation was awesome. if you love seafood and want an authentic experience, this is your place. for those who go ( and you should) it took me a minute to figure out what to do when I arrived. the store front looks like the "order in front then sit down" places that are common around the Caribbean. just walk around to the right of the store front and there is table service in back. today there was live music which was really nice, not loud at all, just good ambiance. also, they take pesos, USD, and credit cards.

We had a great time at this little spot. We got there 2 hrs before closing but they didn’t rush us. The chef even came out and talked with us and asked us if we needed anything else. The ceviche was so fresh!! Must visit when you come.

I don't want to bury the lede: I don't remember ever having better fish tacos than I had here. Yes, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the various sides - the fish soup (Saturdays only), the guacomola, the chips and salsa, the rice and salad, and the ceviche - were delicious, but for me the tacos (4 on the plate!) were the star! The owner has every reason to be proud of this place.

Diego's Taco is a great taco spot in Cozumel. They serve up some of the best tacos in town, and their seafood options are outstanding. The restaurant is also very friendly and easy to access, making it a great choice for lunch or dinner.
Best fish tacos I had, while in Cozumel. Very fresh. There were also a variety of hot sauces that were delicious. Very reasonably priced and right next to the airport. The server was very pleasant and service was quick. Every taco was amazing, and the drinks were also cold. The traffic was not that bad, considering how busy the area was. There was also lots of parking out front.

You must stop here for tacos. It is located right outside the airport. We met the rental car representative here and, while we waited, we had tacos. They were the best tacos I have ever had, and I am married to a Mexican and lived in San Antonio for seven years, so I have enjoyed some exceptional tacos. These quickly became my favorite.

Shrimp tacos - The shrimp is very tasty. Love the grilled onion. The corn tortillas is so awesome! The brown sauce is quite tangy and delicious. Watch out the green bottle. Very spicy! The freshest fish tacos I have in Cozumel! (I go to Cozumel frequently.) Lightly fried, tender, lightly seasoned; fresh lime and salsas were provided tableside. Well worth the walk across the street from the airport, and there is a taxi stand nearby.

Delicious tacos, great service, 5 min walk from the airport. A bit blunt guacamole but condiments are available.
Pavel F — Google review
This spot has the most incredible fish, tacos, and shrimp tacos, I mean they are unbelievably delicious. These folks have been operating just outside the entrance to the Cozumel airport for decades. So if you spend a lot of time here, then you know how to walk your baggage out of the airport and across the first street you come to and pass the car rental and on the right it’s not 200 yards from the airport terminal is this Diego’s taco spot. Plus, that’s where you pick up a cab that will charge you 3 to 5 dollars to take you where you want to go instead of the cartel taxi group at the airport. They charge you $35 each. Serious. So it’s awesome eating these inexpensive delicious treats knowing that you won this round. If you’ve never been there, you have to visit it. It’s generally open till I think about 3 PM. So don’t be late..🇲🇽🙏🇨🇦🌮

La Monina is a popular beach-themed restaurant in Cozumel, known for its impressive breakfast menu and stunning views of the Caribbean. It's a favorite spot among locals for traditional Mexican and Caribbean cuisine, offering dishes like huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. The restaurant features a beach level area where you can enjoy drinks with your toes in the sand, as well as an authentic palapa deck upstairs to soak in the breeze.
Loved this place so much we had to come back a second time during our trip to the island. The food was amazing, the view is absolutely unbeatable, and the service was super friendly. One of the coolest parts is that you get free access to the ocean right from the restaurant. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, have a drink, and take a dip all in one place. Walked here from our cruise and stopped for a drink. Really lovely place and although we didn't eat, we did stay for more than one drink as it was just such a relaxing vibe. Discoverd it has a beach bar underneath with small beach, loungers and access to the sea of you wanted a swim/snorkel stop with in walking distance of the ferry/Punta Langosta cruise terminal. A good 20 walk but worth it as it wasn't busy or full of tourist and reasonably priced.

I have been coming to La Monina for 4 years regularly. It used to be an amazing place with great food. About a year ago, a new head manager came in and has a very rude demeanor towards clients and the staff. I witnessed him yelling at staff in front of a full restaurant, and he yelled at my friend who was trying to pay for her meal. Most of my friends refuse to go back because the service is so bad. Today, I thought I’d give them another try, and it will be the last time I go there. I was ignored the first 10 mins I was there- a large family was served right away even though I got there before them. When I asked for a menu the waiter went upstairs and didn’t return. I walked up to another waiter and asked again for a menu. He brought it to me and I ordered right away. The original waiter brought my order- didn’t look at me, ignored me when I said thank you, and contributed to talk with a woman who was not ordering from there. Neither waiter checked in on me, took my empty plates or made eye contact when I was trying to get service. I spoke to the original waiter and told him how I felt that I wasn’t welcomed there and he made excuses about being busy. Mind you- there were 2 waiters and 5 tables of people. I told him this wasn’t the first time- especially with him and that I wouldn’t be coming back. Peep the photo of my empty plates and glasses while he has his back to me and chats with his friend instead. Pass on La Monina- the food isn’t worth being treated like an inconvenience.

Awesome speak easy. Came here w a friend. Went down these tight, steep stairs to meter the speak easy through a soda dispenser door 🚪. People were dancing w the DJ. Then we went through another door into the back room which had a bar. We chilled. Had a drink. Then went back to the DJ room and danced for hours. Great vibe. Friendly people. Small. Crowded but would go back for sure!

Alberto's Beach Restaurant is situated in the secluded southwest corner of Cozumel, offering a stunning beachfront setting. The restaurant is renowned for its delectable seafood, including grilled lobster tail, king crab, and mahi-mahi fish sourced directly from local fishermen. Its laid-back and casual atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of swimming and sunbathing.
We ordered the seafood platter for two and it was delicious. We loved that they split the rice, potatoes and vegetables on plates and then the seafood was on a platter. Lobster tails were larger than we expected, fish was cooked perfectly and the shrimp was some of the best I’ve had. Drinks were also great and service was perfect. Was a beautiful spot for dinner!
Christine B — Google review
We went there to watch the sunset, and while waiting we had fish nachos, and a drink. Prices are reasonable, it's nice to sit right on the beach and watch the sunset, but walking along the beach is a bit of down side, because there is a lot of seaweed piled up,which doesn't look very inviting, but still had a good time.

Such a cool experience. Loved the food! Crab is amazing and they have live music and there was even a crocodile swimming 30 feet from where we were eating!

Cool outdoor spot on the beach. The food and service was awesome. Just great vibes all around. We had a great dinner with friends during the sunset. Will definitely go back again.

Alberto's- "The Best Tail" you can get in Cozumel, Mexico! I hope it's as good as it was in 2015 when I return to this wonderful island in 2026. The ceviche as an appetizer was fresh an spot on. The cooked fish was excellent and likely caught that morning or perhaps 1 day prior... perfectly prepared. Then the crab- Best I have ever had! I hope this kitchen holds up as I will definitely go back to the best food I ever had on this beautiful isle! If you're exploring Cozumel, I highly recommend this place as a stop!

Beautiful place to view the sunset. However they were cranking MTV when quiet was much more appropriate. I asked 4 times to turn down but they didn’t. And we were the only ones there. Food was just ok. Everything was loaded with onions that overpowered all flavour. Chicken tacos were way over done. Smell of old seaweed didn’t help. Please LISTEN to your customers!!!

Crazy King Burrito is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Cozumel, offering a relaxing oceanfront dining experience. The menu features an array of lunch and dinner options, including tostadas, cocktails, and tasty tacos. Known for its generous portions and fresh ingredients, the burritos come in two sizes with various protein and veg combinations. The asada and shrimp burritos are particularly popular. Additionally, the restaurant offers a big vegan burrito for those with dietary preferences.
Being from Texas I thought I knew a great burrito, but I was wrong all my life! This place is exceptional! The tortillas are fresh and grilled to perfection. The chicken, shrimp chipotle, and asada steak burritos are wonderful. I come here everyday when I’m in Cozumel. I love the salsas too! The staff are friendly and welcoming. My goal is to try their Lewisville, TX location next. ❤️

Awesome burrito- really worth stopping in. Great quick service! Crazy King Buritto has some legit big shrimp in it! Great prices too. Nice seating on the sidewalk.
Rob J — Google review
While the burrito is good, it's nothing special for the price of $18$ for a burrito and a Fanta. For the quality, the price isn't equal, and there are many better spots on the island where you get your money's worth. It's definitely where tourists eat, which coincides with the way they charge their prices. I won't be going back.

Crazy King burrito is it family owned place here on Cozumel. They make delicious burritos, best on the island! Each burrito is cooked with care. The owners take pride in their quality, flavor and value. Remember, a family owns the place, their hours are 11 - 7 Saturday to Friday. You won't be disappointed! 😋

Nice staff, burrito is nothing special. I got the king sized king burrito. For the price, I was hoping for a giant super delicious burrito. However, I have had better and bigger burritos in California for cheaper and better flavor profiles. Probably would try a different burrito restaurant next time.

El Pirata is a popular seafood restaurant in Playas, known for its affordable yet indulgent seafood dishes. Despite its casual setting with plastic tables and chairs, the restaurant attracts locals and tourists alike with its tangy ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and whole fried mojarra fish. The menu focuses on fresh seafood, offering simple and straightforward dishes that highlight the freshness of the fish and local ingredients.
Delicious food, mainly fish and seafood. My wife had a mixed seafood soup with a lot of shrimps and pieces of octopus, while I took sea-bass filet garlic style, very tasty. We just loved the food and were happy to have chosen this restaurant which is always crowded - a good sign. Prices are a bit higher, the atmosphere is very nice, very local. Service is ok.

Fantastic fresh local seafood restaurant! We had the octopus and fish ceviche, and our main course was 2 Crispy fried red snappers. Very well done and so delicious Our server Jorge was amazing and every time we come back to Playa Del Carmen, we will put this restaurant on top of the list. 😋 Yum!

Were visiting on vacation. The restaurant was pretty close to town. Many of the inner town restaurants are either too expensive or very low quality food. This location was only a few blocks away from the main strip of attractions. It has a very local atmosphere. Quick to greet, quick to serve and very friendly staff. The prices are very affordable and well worth the money. Definitely will be coming back every vista.

I thought it was good. Mybpartner thought it was okay. We had the sea bass fillet and mixed seafood sopa, a beer and margarita. Fish was cooked well but the sides were so-so. The seafood soup was yummy, nice broth but rather small serving considering the price. Overall okay.

CASH ONLY *** Great food on the pricy side though but the fish was oh so fresh ! Side dish were really small but you can order extra for 70 pesos each item. Very tasty.
Love A — Google review
The quality of the food was great. Server tried to rip us off on the bill by increasing the price of certain items and charging us drinks twice. We were two people, one drink each, easy to calculate. No apology when called out. The quality of the food is well worth it for the price, but triple check your bill.
Lisa W — Google review
Found this place through youtubers "for the road" stating this place was USD 21 for 4 items. But perhaps that was covid time. We went there and saw the price was quite expensive so we asked if the spanish menu was the same price and it was. They really wanted us to try the fish. Took out 4 fishes and tagged the price on each. I chose one that was 440+ but when the bill came it was priced at 495. The total bill was 740 gor 2 non-alcoholic drinks, 1 guac and 1 fish portion. Food taste wise was ok. But we were disappointed because we were hoping for a local experience with local prices. We love hole in the wall experiences that are maybe family run or just people who are committed to authentic no fuss dining. And this fell short of our expectation. The little dishonesty regarding the fish price, and just the overall menu prices felt inauthentic and just like another tourist trap... hmm...
E S — Google review
I'm writing this so discerning readers can make up their own minds about eating here... I had a meal here within the week: Grilled snapper (small, left hungry), seafood soup, bottle of water. Cost without tip, 790 pesos, in what could best be described as a dive with no service. That night I had Italian at Trattoria Centro on 26th Street: Truffle risotto with salsiccia and mushrooms, negroni, glass of wine, 780 pesos. Lovely setting, fantastic and attentive servers. If you are a local, I'm sure you eat for 1/3 the price I paid at this place. Maybe less. For tourists? Might want to hang on to your money. Don't get me wrong, the food was not bad. However, eat at these two places I mention, compare for yourself, and decide how you want to spend your hard earned cash.

Buccanos At Night in Cozumel is a top choice for a special dining experience with its stunning ocean views, tropical cocktails, and diverse menu. Located near the Cozumel Country Club, this restaurant offers a blend of traditional and contemporary fusion cuisine. From fresh seafood to expertly prepared steaks and delectable lobster ravioli, Buccanos at Night promises an unforgettable dining experience.
This is the kind of place you could easily enjoy from sunrise to sunset. The vibe was incredibly relaxing, and the beach? Absolutely stunning—one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Being a private beach, the facilities were excellent. The staff worked really hard and were constantly on the move, but that also meant it took quite a while to place or receive orders. It would be a huge plus if there were a way to order food via phone or app—less running for them, and more convenience for guests. That said, the food was amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the wait.

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience here. All around, excellent service, food, and atmosphere with a view of the sunset that was beautiful. I had made a Wednesday 7:00 dinner reservation inside because we wanted AC, though they also had a beautiful patio seated area too. When we arrived we were greeted and seating at a table by the window with a view. Our server, Julio was excellent, friendly and attentive, he made our experience very enjoyable. We ordered cocktails. To note: they make great Slightly Dirty Martini and a Lychee Martinis. We were served complementary bread which was so good. We then ordered a few appetizers to share, the Mussels and Fries, Chicken Satay Skewers, and the Crispy Soft Shell Crab. The mussels were excellent, big and cooked perfectly. Chicken satay was good, the peanut sauce served with it was so good. The soft shell crabs were excellent and there were 2 full size crabs, fried to a crunchy perfection. Atmosphere: romantic, high end dining experience. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

By far the best experience we had on a 7 day cruise! Beautiful, clean, quiet, high class atmosphere. Excellent food, excellent service. Crystal clear water and tons of fish to view for snorkeling. 10/10 - will definitely come back!

Awesome place!!! Loved the food, drinks, and service. Luis was great! The pool and beach is a bit smaller but I enjoyed the vibes. I even got a massage that was incredible. The one thing I didn’t like is that they advertise free tequila tasting but it is not tequila. It’s tequila liquor. A tourist scam.

We are so happy that we found this place... we came with a cruiz ship and we're looking for a place to spend the day. The place had excellent reviews and was only 15 min a taxi drive away from the ship. The taxi was $20 in one direction. The Buccanos place is super clean, fantastic staff and great beach. We did some snorkeling and had lunch. We ordered fish and chips, chrispy chicken sandwich, soft shell crab and grilled octopus... we also had a bunch of drinks... so we paid $60 entrance fee, which goes towards the food consumption and our total in the end was $123 (60 we already paid). I would recommend the place and would visit again. The restrooms were super clean, the food was amazing.

This restaurant is famous in Cozumel for a reason. Reservations are required. I had the best meal of my life here. The calamari appetizer was excellent, but the shrimp and crab ravioli was life-changing. My husband’s filet mignon was incredibly tender and juicy, and he said it was the best he has ever had. The service was fantastic, and the desserts—apple crumble parfait and brownie parfait—were phenomenal.

Nestled just north of town, The Original Lobster House has been a beloved fixture on the island since the 1970s. This charming family-run establishment boasts a palapa-style dining area that invites guests to enjoy their meals in a relaxed atmosphere. Known for its mouthwatering grilled lobster, it also offers hearty options like T-bone steak for those with bigger appetites.
Tonight, I had the joy of dining at The Original Lobster House — and wow, what an experience. This hidden gem, owned by a warm and wonderful Cozumelano family with deep roots in our island community, completely stole my heart. The food? Absolutely unforgettable. The ambience? Pure magic — cozy, welcoming, and full of local charm. The people? As genuine as they come. It’s tucked away on the north end of the island, and somehow it took me nearly two decades to walk through their doors. Don’t wait like I did. Treat yourself to a night here — you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your return. 💙🦞🌴 cindy FlipToursCozumel

Know they don't open until 5:30 if you go. Neat place! Unique setup of indoor / outdoor dining. The staff was very nice, friendly and attentive. Live music duo was nice - jazzy and fresh takes on older songs, in a quaint and cozy setup. Margaritas and Palomas were excellent - probably the best we had in Cozumel. Food was alright. We filled up on Lobster salad (it's a lot for 2 people) & bread, so by the time our meals came we didn't eat much. Key lime pie was okay, but neither of us finished it. I ordered fish & chips (snapper) and wished I had opted for grilled instead. Batter was too heavy and the quality of the fish wasn't great (like the trimmings were battered). But the fries were good.

This restaurant is actually two restaurants completely separate from each other. Each owned separately by brothers, Enrique and Fernando. This is relevant because when you search either with your Apple search or Google search, it only comes up as one restaurant. I am not sure why. Fernando owns "La Langosta" which also has a sign that says the original lobster house. Enrique owns the one 30 feet to the south that just says, The Original Lobster House. Enrique's place to the south is more elegant and even has a spot with air conditioning while Fernando's is more laid-back with TVs that may have sports on and it also has a larger menu. Because of the mosquitoes we ate at "the Original lobster house" twice and "La Langosta" once. Now to the food. It is amazing! Maybe the best surf and turf I have ever had and at 900 pesos was only around $50. I have never had lobster fall apart when you try to pull it out of the shell. It was so tender and so good! Very good price. My wife had the garlic shrimp one night and the surf and turf with filet mignon the other, both amazing!!! The ambience is perfect. And it's worth mentioning that Enrique's place has an absolute outstanding cappuccino, and La Langosta does not. Both restaurants are amazing and if you go to Fernando's, you will get a tour and stories he was so fun.

The Original Lobster House in Cozumel, Mexico, offers a charming seaside dining experience with a relaxed and scenic atmosphere. While the restaurant is renowned for its fresh lobster dishes, my visit was a bit different due to a shellfish allergy. Despite not being able to indulge in the lobster, I still enjoyed a wonderful meal that showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality. The freshly prepared grilled chicken pasta stood out as a great alternative. The chicken was tender, perfectly grilled, and paired with al dente pasta in a flavorful sauce that made the dish satisfying and hearty. The warm bread served alongside was another highlight, with a soft interior and a crispy crust that made it the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The signature margarita was a delightful addition to the experience. Served with just the right balance of tequila and lime, it was refreshing without being overpowering, making it an excellent choice for a seaside meal. The service was attentive, and the staff made sure that my allergy was well accommodated, offering alternatives and ensuring that I could still enjoy a memorable dining experience. Overall, while I wasn’t able to sample the lobster, the atmosphere, service, and care put into each dish at The Original Lobster House make it a fantastic spot for seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers alike. The beautiful seaside view and quality food make it a must-visit in Cozumel.

When exploring Cozumel, make sure to include Restaurante El Palomar Cozumel in your travel plans. This charming eatery is renowned for its exquisite Mexican cuisine and romantic ambiance, all set within a beautifully restored historic house on Main Street. The outdoor patio offers stunning ocean views that enhance the dining experience. While it leans towards the upscale side compared to other beachside options, the exceptional quality of food and stylish decor truly justify every cent spent here.
El Palomar is one of our favorite places to watch the sunset . The drinks are creative and well prepared. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, service friendly and timely and the building is historic and charming. We take all our out of town visitors here as it always impresses. Tonight the men in our foursome all had the mahi, mahi special . Fresh caught today and prepared in butter sauce. The women opted for a Yucatán specialty pork dish.

Wonderful service, absolutely fantastic food! The only problem there occurred was that we had two people with allergies at the table. One tomato, and one avocado. Both were served their foods that they are allergic to. Would have absolutely been five stars if it wasn't for that but they should be more careful. There were only 3 of us. One ate a large portion of the food he was allergic to and the other one had to send her food back once, and did not want to do it a second time. Other than that, such a wonderful experience and fantastic food! The service was 100% on point other than that

La Conchita del Caribe is a popular seafood restaurant in Cozumel, known for its fresh and generous portions at reasonable prices. Unlike the touristy spots in the city center, this casual Caribbean-inspired eatery is a favorite among locals. The restaurant offers an authentic dining experience with friendly staff and delicious food. Visitors can enjoy dishes like mixed ceviche, whole fried fish, battered shrimp, surf and turf, and grilled lobster.
I've lived here for almost 11 years and used to go here years ago. I probably hadn't been in 5 years, and what a mistake that was. I have friends visiting from Seattle who love seafood. We've been trying all the top places and tonight we went here. They think that it was the best so far. We ordered the seafood platter plus a grilled fish. The platter came with 2 sea bass filled, conch, octopus, shrimp, lobster, and the most tender squid I've ever had. Plus, it had rice and veggies. We should have stopped there as it was easily enough for 3 people. But we also ordered a conch dinner and some guacamole to start. Somehow, we ate it all and then also ordered a piece of cheesecake for dessert, and it was huge! The prices here are very reasonable and I'd highly recommend them to any seafood lover.

My friend and I have been coming here year after year when we vacation in Cozumel. Our favorite local place to get a whole Fried Garlic Fish. The place is very clean, the servers are all very friendly and nice and the food is always excellent. We picked out our fish (4lb. Snapper). You chose how you want it prepared (we like it fried). You chose the seasoning, in our case I choose garlic. The chef does his magic, you order a few beers and enjoy LOL "life is good."

We can not recommend this place more for a really wonderful seafood dinner in Cozumel. It is not a touristy place and is full of locals. They know the best places to eat! Absolutely amazing food! They give you free chips and Pico to start. We had the medium mixed ceviche, and the 2 of us could have just ate that for supper! It was fabulous. We had the whole fried fish and the battered shrimp. They were both superb. The shrimp were huge, delicately breaded seasoned and cooked perfectly. You get to pick your own fish and choose how you want it cooked, we had it fried with garlic, it was also delicately breaded and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

You can order off the menu, but also ask about picking out your own fresh fish that they purchased at the market. Then they make it right away for you. It was great! They have great homemade chips as well. We each had a cocktail.

Food was pretty decent and fresh tasting. It was like $50 for 3 people, drinks, and plenty of food. I wish the ceviche was cut into smaller pieces but no biggie because it tasted fresh. Fish was also fresh tasting. The rice plate had to much random food for my liking but it has good flavor.

This is the best seafood offering I’ve ever had in the world. Simply, because it is actual seafood and it is in astounding quantity that will satisfy your palate and leave you leaning back patting your stomach. You’re going to eat fish, lobster, squid, shrimp and all the good stuff from the sea. You do not want miss this place. It is bar none the best seafood in Cozumel, possibly in Mexico and the price is superb! Here’s a secret, the farther away you are from the touristy areas, the better everything is.

El Sazón Del Camarón, also known as The Seasoning of the Shrimp, is a popular seafood restaurant among locals in Cozumel. It's a favorite spot for islanders to enjoy delicious seafood tacos and tortas with options like breaded or grilled shrimp, octopus, and fish. While slightly pricier than other diners, the generous portions make it worth it. Visitors rave about the incredible tacos, especially the garlic grilled shrimp and breaded shrimp varieties.
One of the best places on the island for lunch. Authentic Mexican cuisine. They specialize in sea food. The menu is in Spanish and English. The service is fast, friendly, and courteous. I would highly recommend this establishment for an authentic, satisfying lunch.

This place was recommended to my wife and me by friends. Now I am recommending it to all. The guacamole was fresh. The Shrimp Cocktail was huge (get the medium) and super floral with a tremendous amount of t of shrimp. I had shrimp tacos and the wife had chicken tacos and they were outstanding! The green salsa has some great heat but not overly hot, more flavorful. We will definitely put this on our list to visit the next time we are in Cozumel.

Very Impressed! The food was delicious! The service was very good and the restaurant was spotlessly clean and bright. Although we speak fairly good Spanish the waiter offer to speak in English and was very helpful.

I live for conch ceviche and mostly only find amazing fresh in the Bahamas but this one hits the spot! Fresh crunchy tender limey. So good! Also fish tacos are delicious. They deliver quickly. Didn’t move from my spot at Condumel to eat by the water. Paradise!

Don't miss this hidden gem! Their grilled shrimp taco is awesome! The fish taco and stewed octopus are also very good. The price is slightly more expensive than the other diners but the portion is biggg! I got at least ten shrimps on my taco. So it's definitely worth it! Visited here twice during my stay.

Found this place randomly after riding around the whole island; Easily one of the best tacos on the island. Must try breaded shrimp tacos along with the shrimp ceviche and guacamole. Service was extremely fast and welcoming.

Always stop here for the garlic shrimp 🤤 we've been on the island 7 times and this is the only spot we put into rotation consistently. So good, so cheap, salsas are amazing.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind after indulging in the island's delightful tacos and seafood, The Pub is your go-to destination. Known for its generous servings of comfort food like fish-and-chips, potpie, and bangers and mash, this lively venue offers a fun atmosphere perfect for relaxation. After enjoying your meal, challenge friends to darts or shuffleboard in the stunning outdoor garden area—it's truly a beautiful setting! On special occasions like St.
Complete surprise how much I liked this place. Always just walked past it but heard they had really good Fish and Chips and they sure do. They have wonderful bartenders and servers, a super nice owner, and delicious food. Tuesdays is meat loaf night and Friday smoked Brisket straight off their huge smoker. Lots of regulars here and always a good conversation for this solo traveler who frequents Cozumel a lot.
GARY R — Google review
We enjoyed “The Pub” numerous times when they were in their original space, and we loved it! Now we get to enjoy the same hospitality in their current space!! Same owners, same vibe, same smiles and same AMAZING FOOD & DRINKS! We were fortunate enough to grab one of the last half rack of the Sunday Night BBQ Ribs, wow wow wow! FALL OFF THE BONE! Now we are planning our Tuesday night for the MEATLOAF!! Between Courtney from Oregon (grew up on Widbey Island WA.) and Fredy along with Chris @ the helm, you could not find a nicer group of folks! Now we are looking forward to Meatloaf Tuesday :-) All in all, great pours, great service, wonderful food and lots of conversation! 5 SOLID STARS!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re in Cozumel and looking for a place that feels like a neighborhood gathering spot with food that can stop time, The Pub is it. Friday nights are legendary for the Brisket Special—tender, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. It’s the kind of plate that makes you forget what day it is and wonder why every Friday of your life hasn’t been this delicious. Come back on Meatloaf Martes (Tuesday) and you’ll understand why locals show up early. The meatloaf is comfort food at its finest—hearty, flavorful, and gone as soon as the last slice is served. Pro tip: don’t wait until late evening or you’ll be out of luck. Sundays are for football, and The Pub has turned NFL Sunday into an event of its own. Doors open at noon, with BBQ ribs and pulled pork hitting the table at 2pm. When they say “when it’s gone, it’s gone,” they mean it—so plan ahead, order fast, and settle in for the game. Beyond the food, what really makes The Pub shine is the atmosphere. It’s a mix of locals, expats, and travelers who all seem to become fast friends over a plate of BBQ or a cold drink. The staff treat you like family, and the energy makes it hard to leave. Whether you’re after slow-smoked brisket, classic meatloaf, or ribs that demand your full attention, The Pub isn’t just another stop—it’s the kind of place that earns a spot on your “must return” list.

We decided to spend St. Patrick's Day at the Pub. It's better to make reservations for St. Patrick's Day. We ordered drinks, looked over the menu, and settled for burgers. Other items that day were for parties with reservations. My husband enjoyed his burger. Me not so much. I ordered the blue cheese and mushroom burger. They explained it was a stuffed patty burger. Okay. It was so thick that I couldn't take a bite out of it. I sliced the patty in half to make it more manageable. There were a few mushrooms inside, but no evidence of cheese. I figured it melted into the patty. After two bites, I decided that it wasn't for me. The meat was undercooked, bland, and not appealing. If we venture there again, we may stick to drinks.

This is the most amazing place in cozumel for Italian food. This is a real Italian restaurant. You could not find better in Italy. Staff is amazing and owner goes above and beyond. They cook my lionfish to perfection. Owner took care of it personally showing that he cares about his clients. Thank you.

This was a fantastic dinner find and truly authentic Italian. I had a chicken with mushroom white sauce, my wife had melon and prosciutto (that told me there they know Italian) and we shared a burrata salad. Eating in the balcony was awesome as the sun was going down. The servers were so friendly. Only took the one salad pic but wish I’d taken the others.

We are from NYC and San Francisco. Both great food cities. Restaurant Especias is an absolutely delightful, authentic Italian restaurant, owned and run by young Italians. We’ve eaten here at least a dozen times and every meal was like a gift. Service is outstanding. We enjoy Stefano as our waitstaff and the young people who help clear dishes away are almost unnoticable. Very discreet and unobtrusive, just as you would hope them to be. The quality of the food and the fresh ingredients are outstanding. This restaurant could do very well in any major city of the world. We are so glad they chose to be in Cozumel. Keep up the great work!

Out of 9 dinners we had in Cozumel, we ate here 3 times. We'd hoped to try more Mexican restaurants but the food here was too delicious. I would say the authentic Italian food here could compete with anywhere. The young lady that served us was great as well, personable and attentive, a great dining experience!

What a wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant! The chef and owner Francesco was our waiter and we enjoyed the balcony. Our pasta was fantastic but the true gem was the ribeye. We will certainly be back.

Great meal from start to finish. Amazing Italian restaurant in Cozumel. Started with some aperol spritz, best I've had outside of Italy. Perfect ratio of all ingredients. The bruschetta was excellent, very flavorful tomatoes. We brought mahi mahi and barracuda we caught on a fishing trip and they prepared it for us. Started with barracuda steaks which they served fried per our request. Chef did two different styles, both Italian and Mexican style. The mahi mahi we had as both a pasta and sauteed with a garlic sauce. It was served with vegetables on the side as well which were delicious. All of it was outstanding, a true authentic Italian restaurant in Mexico. We came 45 minutes before closing (sorry) and we couldn't have had better service or food. Also the best wine list I've seen on the island, a nice mix of European, American and local wine. Took a tiramisu home and it was exceptional, done in the true Italian style. Can't say enough good things about our visit, a must eat if you enjoy Italian. Can't wait to go back. Thank you to our server and the chef.

Le Chef Cozumel is a quaint, intimate continental restaurant located by the ferry terminal. The food is of high quality and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is perfect for sharing a meal with good company. In the evening, choose from the ever-revolving list of daily specials.
Without a doubt, this was one of our top meals of our 8 day trip on Cozumel. My wife and I highly recommend it! Drinks were amazing, food was top notch, and the service was so personable and attentative! Pricing was great too, so don't be alarmed that it's on the strip! We absolutely recommend this place and we'll 100% come back on our next trip here! Thank you so much!

The space has a warm atmosphere, very nice place, it is located on the main avenue of the Island so that is incredible. The service is very friendly, The chef suggested the Famous: The Lobster and Bacon Sandwich, commenting that it was very good, so we took it , but the truth is that it fell very short for what it really is, the combination of the ingredients with the bread is not good at all, I honestly do not recommend it. And we ordered a Garlic Shrimp pizza, it is good, but as a suggestion they could distribute the ingredients more to feel more of the combination of flavors in the slices, otherwise the pizza was very delicious.

The lobster bisque is the best we've ever had. Bacon wrapped shrimp done perfectly, 6 big ones! Lasagna bolognese was also excellent. US/MX exchange rate a bit low so bring pesos if possible. Seating for 16 in the AC, more outside. Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

Great find for super delicious and beautiful food. Right on the main road ocean view, near the ferry. This place was recommended by a street vendor and we are happy we took his advise! The calamari and Brie appetizers were great. We also tried the Greek salad, tortellini, lobster sandwich, corn beef sandwich and two past dishes and they were all fantastic!!

We joined two other couples in celebrating a Birthday here. The menu was outstanding, as was the food. Wait staff was highly professional. The place was clean and nicely decorated with a flair for repurposing. The bathrooms were clean. I had a penne pasta dish that enjoyed. We ordered some appetizers too. Nearly all of them and everyone really enjoyed them, especially the brie one, the tuna tartar, and the toasts with oil and salsa. You won't go wrong here. Prices were good considering a more high end menu and experience. They even brought out a pretty chocolate mousse for the Birthday girl and it had lit candles and all. A wonderful evening.

Made reservations for 7 to celebrate an event. Host was great, waiter was superb, food was spot on! The restaurant came highly recommended by regulars to the island and it didn't disappoint :-) The group had various dishes and everyone agreed it was exceptional. From drinks to apps, entrees and desserts...all worth ordering again!

Just a disappointment. A salad with 3oz lobster tail and a 2nd lunch of pasta cost just over $31.00 and this is to go order. Miserable plain iceberg lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes and small lobster tail which was over seasoned. Pity because I had read great reviews. Also we needed to take this to go. They had no silverware so we had to sit in the car to eat and return the silverware. Defeated the idea to save time. How do people charge so much for pasta and a few vegtables?

Went here for dinner and tried the chicken and shrimp fajitas. They were good but definitely very american. Drinks and all were not very authentic. I would come back and try again. There are tons of really good specials. With the fajitas and it being happy hour, we had 4 drinks. The bill only came to $33 USD, which is pretty amazing. The view is nice overlooking the water, and it is right on the main drag close to the cruise ships, which can create a lot of people and traffic passing by.

Nice place with a view. However, the traffic between you and the sea is smelly and noisy. We've had a tropical ceviche for 2. Someone's recommendation. It was good but IMHO lacked a starch (no chips, tortillas, tortas, etc. came with it).

What an amazing place to spend some time and enjoy good food and great drinks at affordable prices. Definitely a huge food options and by the way the portions are really big. Make sure to ask for the specials of the day and the 2x1 drinks. 100% recommend and will definitely go there again.

Went to this place for some good seafood. Ordered the octopus and shrimp ceviche with some fish ceviche as extra. The fish was ROTTEN, old and stinky. The manager didn’t take responsibility for this and insisted it was good. I know bad fish. Just gave up and payed for something we didn’t eat. Never going back. If you go don’t order fish, maybe the hamburgers or wings will be better.

Great Salsa band but the volume is pretty loud for the space. Service was quick but my mojito was too sweet and with large mint leaves. I would suggest skipping the cocktails and sticking to beer here.

The food was good. The drinks were good. Highly recommend the Rum Punch! Taste just like punch, could be very dangerous 😆 Chicken tacos were good. They came with a mayonnaise garlic alo, and at first, the thought was odd, but after tasting it, it was really good with those tacos. The nachos said Regular nachos, but it didn't say they it came with beans, tomatoe paste, and cheese. Thought that it was just cheese.

The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of the meal, creating a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cozumel.

My partner and I dined at this restaurant during our stay in Cozumel in April. We enjoyed the appetisers and the surf & turf combination; also, we wrapped up our dinner with a pie coming from the pie restaurant nearby, which we found nice and particular. With that being said, on our side and concerning our personal taste, the food, although being well-cooked, did not fully encounter our taste. A positive note to the restaurant is the professional and quick service, which is very attentive, and the atmosphere of the location.

I ate here multiple times during a 2-week stay, and it is, by far, the best restaurant on this side of the island. My favorite dish was the grouper, but I also enjoyed the red snapper and the shrimp. I ate the grouper three different times; it was always very fresh and grilled to perfection. The rice and vegetable sides, paired with the fish, were also well prepared. The rice was light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The mixed vegetables had a wonderful texture with a light buttery finish.

Note: THIS IS A CASH ONLY BUSINESS, NO CREDIT CARDS. After scouring the reviews of all the dining options on the island, we decided our first dinner on Cozumel would be at the "Lobster Grill." We walked in shortly after 6 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away by friendly staff. There were only two other groups in the restaurant at the time, so service was prompt and attentive. Our drink orders were delivered along with a warm, fresh house bread tray and butter. A great way to start any meal! My fiance and I ordered lobster kabobs, shrimp chowder, and BBQ shrimp. All were phenomenal. Well prepared, flavorful, and nice portions. Veggie and rice sides were equally delicious. We managed to save room for some second to none key lime pie. Worth swinging in just for the pie! This was a great experience. Great food. Humble, friendly, attentive service. Awesome island atmosphere. We will be back soon to try a few more menu items!

Not what we expected when we walked in but the restaurant is excellent and the overall vibe is fantastic. We came here on a recommendation from a elder local who's lived here all her life. What was even better was that it was right across the street from our hotel. The service is very friendly and the food was simple and delicious. Felt like a local family owned restaurant and the atmosphere was rustic and wonderful. We loved our lobster meal and shrimp cocktail and shrimp chowder. We had a margarita and mojito and keylime pie for dessert. The meal was very affordable for the quality and lobster feast we had here. Delicious and 5 stars for sure. ¡Gracias!

We’ve gone to Mariscos Camilos twice during our stay and both times were great. It’s the only place we ate at twice and truly enjoyed in Cozumel. The fry batter on the calamari is light and the whole fried fish is the best. It’s one of the most affordable whole fried fish on the island. All of their seafood is fresh and clean. The seltzer lemonade is also refreshing and not too sweet. Guacamole and ceviche also great. Really can’t go wrong with anything on this menu!

It surprised us that the restaurant was empty. We had smoked Marlin salad and fish with coconut and tamarind. The fish is thinly coated with panko if real coconut strips, pan fried to perfection. Add the tamarind sauce, it is very delicious. The Marlin salad, they cut the Marlin too small and put too much mayonnaise in it. Otherwise I would give the food a 5 stars. The restaurant decoration is nice. The waiter was excellent. We will go back again. It is not located in tourist area. This may explain why it was empty.

This used to be one of our favorite places. Went at least twice a month. Most recently, it has not been the same. The last two times they were out of fried fish. Decided to try the empanadas instead. And ordered ceviche as usual. We have always loved the ceviche but it was tiny shrimps and not many, mostly onions and tomatoes. Ordered fish empanadas. They were 180 pesos for 3. Very small and full of vegetables. Not even sure if fish was in them. Love the atmosphere, salsa and limonada but unfortunately won’t be back due to the recent changes.

Overpriced for what they offer. The plates are small and expensive. A simple hamburger around USD16. Also, the drinks are a rip-off: a large 1-liter glass of margarita costs around USD20 but is mostly ice with some kind of sweet juice. The tequila is completely imperceptible. When I asked why it was so light, they told me it was to make the effect more noticeable. I don’t recommend it.

Place is really delicious. The vibe is easy going and casual, just what I was looking for. Had the grill shrimps and aguachile with black sauce. Washed it down with a soursop mojito. Both dishes were excellent. The location of this place is ideal as well. Close to the main hotels and Quinta Avenida. Would def come back. Spent $1300 mxd or roughly $64.

Fantastic food and service. The taste of the sea is right in your face. It’s a must try restaurant. You won’t be dissapointed

This place is located right on the strip and offers a great menu with lots of options. The steak here is skirt stake so don't be thinking your gonna get a nice thick cut. However the skirt steak was so flavorful and really hit the spot the tacos were good. The homemade chips and salsa was so fresh and delicious. Nice spot for a quick bit. Service was great and our food did not take long. Lots of action around to entertain you during the meal.

We just loved the food n the drinks in this restaurant. We were looking for a good n authentic Mexican seafood restaurant in the Playa del Carmen area. We chose this one seeing the reviews. We ordered spicy octopus (pollos), tasty crabs and rock n roll shrimp ( dynamite shrimps ). The quantity n the taste was really nice and the items were much cheaper compared to other similar restaurants in that area. I would definitely love to come back.

Highly accessible location. The service was kinda lazy and the food was good—the atmosphere was chill, nothing super memorable. I got the fish aguachile and got the basic sauce. Presentation was nice, good portion for the 1/2 portion. Clean flavors but nothing really stood out. I’d say it’s a little overpriced for what you get in the end.

The pulpo was just the best I’ve had—go & try it! (I had the pulpo asoleado). Also the shrimp aguachile tostadas were amazing!…as a family visit, we tried many other dishes—all of us were happy!!

Taqueria El Camarón Dorado, located just a mile outside the main town of Cozumel, is a popular spot known for its delicious seafood tacos. Locals and tourists alike frequent this authentic island seafood restaurant, with many raving about the flavorful fish and shrimp tacos. The place is often bustling with patrons enjoying fresh salsas and a variety of seafood dishes.
Absolutely loved this placed for probably 10 years but not really sure. We were taken here by a local who owns a restaurant and they love it. Everything is great but shrimp tacos at under $2 each are incredible. Outstanding Tortas

Second time we ate at this spot in Cozumel, wanted to go again because if the great experience we had with the food the first time we visited the Island, we didi not get that WOW effect this time yet the food was still good, another good thing is that it’s not close enough to the cruise port where tourists fills every spot, it’s more of a quiet town restaurant, you get your service fast and more authentic food. Will visit again when in the Island.

We had the most amazing shrimp tacos and cerviche. My friend is crying because the food is so good. We had to come back so we extended our car rental an extra day so we could eat here again. The pulpo octopus and the breaded shrimp is amazing but also the snail tortas are incredible. Eat everything. This place makes me want to become fat.

We were thinking of going somewhere else, which we realized was closed while en route. Our taxi driver suggested this place and we weren't disappointed. The mixed ceviche and everything was wonderful. The torta just was okay, hence 4 versus 5 stars. Otherwise, wonderful, authentic, and inexpensive.

So tasty! We went here early in our trip and liked it so much, we had to go back on our last day! If you can take the heat, try the habanero salsa on your taco (white bottle)! It is SOOOO tasty! The Milanesa puerco torta is a STEAL at 43 pesos!

Cozumel is a great place to find a variety of seafood including Grouper, Snapper, Triggerfish, Wahoo, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Lobster and Crab. At Restaurant El Palomar you can discuss your preferences with Chef Paola for a delicious seafood dinner. The restaurant is a hidden gem off the main road and offers high-quality food and drinks.
When in Mexico, tacos, tequila and cervesa!!! We found the perfect spot! It's a little place but don't let that fool ya! Some delicious fresh pico and homemade chips. The Mahi tacos were delicious and HUGE...and the pork tacos were just as good !! If you like a little spice in your life, get some of their avocado and homemade salsa! Both have a little heat, but compliment the tacos perfectly. Last and definitely not least, the strawberry margaritas and Local Montejo beer was definitely the right choice. Definitely a good day drinkin beverage!! Huge shout out to Roberto!! gracias por el gran servicio

Nice place to relax...garden area with pool is great to hangout with some drinks. Food was subpar. Lobster was insanely overpriced and overcooked. Recommend looking elsewhere if you want good food.
Nora P — Google review
Ask for Angelica when you go there. She was a great waitress and the food was fantastic. The quesadillas were loaded and very flavorful. The Shrimp Cocktail has enough shrimp to fill a small boat, lol. The Mango Margheritas were top of the line.

I thought the food here was okay, along with the service. They did a lot to try and get us to come in and then once we were seated it’s like they kind of forgot about us. The food seemed a little overpriced. My margarita tasted like juice. The chicken in my fajita was on the drier side. My tortillas tasted stale too. I did enjoy the ceviche though. I would consider a different place to eat overall.

It is a surprise to walk in and see it open up to a pool in the back. Pretty garden but lots of bugs. The food was okay but not great, the service was the same. Prices were high.

They charge 18% tips automatically on your receipt without asking. Food wasn’t even good. The lobster we ordered had to be sent back twice because it was not cooked. It was very disappointing. Also lobster was $1500MXN.

Food was beyond over limed, I mean I've had ceviche before but this was like squirting a lime into your mouth after every bite. Paid 1350+ for 2 dishes, ceviche and a shrimp cocktail and 2 beers. Absolutely a tourist trap, would not recommend

Absolutely a place to stop when in Cozumel. It is NOT a tourist trap. It is about 10-minute taxi ride from the Cruise terminal. Spoke to the owner and the majority of ingredients is sourced locally. Their specialty is grilled octopus, I highly recomend it and very economical!!!

Excellent place for seafood! This restaurant is tucked away from the tourist area of Cozumel, but worth the trip! The food is always on point. The empanadas are fantastic, and huge! The ceviche is very good, and my favorite dish is the Minerva tostada which is a mixture of shrimp and octopus, piled with avocado with a delicious spicy sauce! They also serve beer and liquor. They accept credit cards, but charge a 4% fee.

Very good seafood. We came here twice in one week. If they didn’t only open at lunch, we’d probably be here even more times. What we ordered: grilled octopus, Minerva cerviche (mix of shrimp and fried octopus in a spice cerviche sauce, and gobernador tacos. The octopus and cerviche were the winning dishes. So good. El Pezcozon is airy and spacious with plenty of seating.

Highly recommended to us but didn't quite live up to the hype. Ordered Ceviche mixto and the octopus and shrimp were still pretty tough and hard to bite through as if they hadn't set enough in the like juice. Ticket came out pricey for the area as we paid over a $100 for 4 people. (Some dishes $25+ each) I'd say best things about restaurant was the sauces (garlicy salsa, and a sweeter salsa were fantastic!) and the wait staff was very friendly and responsive.

La Mission is a charming dining spot located in a lush garden at one of the oldest haciendas on the island. The restaurant offers an elegant atmosphere and serves incredible international and Mexican cuisine, with lobster being one of their standout dishes.
We stopped here for lunch right before we left to head to the Ferry. Very quick walk from the ferry, 4min. It was not crowded at all when we arrived. The Margs were very strong and delicious! Probably the best coconut shrimp of my life. I will dream about it for years to come. The veggies on the side were perfectly cooked. Awesome authentic and filling meal! The guac could have been spicier. Price seemed reasonable for its location in town.

Delicious experience! The grilled fish was perfectly seasoned, the guacamole fresh and creamy, and the shrimp ceviche packed a zesty punch. Loved the comforting lime chicken soup so flavorful and satisfying!

Food was okay. We got coconut shrimp, nachos and drinks as an afternoon snack. Coconut shrimps were fat and crispy. Nachos were very simple: tortillas, cheese, frijolles. Drinks were quite good albeit quite sweet. Overpriced for what it is but it is a tourist spot. I think you could do better if you search but it’s a good spot for food when you need it at a great location.

It is just “OK”, nothing special. Nice venue as a restaurant, but the service was pretty poor to be honest & it is NOT good value for money. It is pretty EXPENSIVE for what you actually get. Nothing in the food stood out to me at all! I had their Shrimps Mexicana & would probably been better off just getting some Shrimp Ceviche & saving myself a lot of money. My recommendation, take a few photos, find somewhere cheaper that will probably be better & eat there! An expensive learning curve this one for mediocre! Disappointed from what I had seen & read.

I was walking around with my significant other and we were suddenly hungry. This seemed like the spot that would treat us right. Upon entering, it was impressive with a tropical feel. We were immediately seated at a table. I looked at the menu to see what was offered. From the Bebidas / Drinks section, I ordered a Margarita. In Pesos, it was 154. In USD, it was 7. From the Especialidades / Specialties section, I went with the Camarón Mission. In Pesos, it was 440. It was Mission Shrimp. In USD, it was 20. From the Lunch section, we ordered Tacos (Pollo, Res o Pescado). In Pesos, it was 220 and we chose Res. It was Tacos (Chicken, Beef or Fish). In USD, it was 10 and we chose Beef. We were given free chips and salsa. They were excellent. The salt and pepper at the table each amplified the flavor. We were given a free refill on them that was just as excellent the same way. The Margarita had a zing to it. It was flavorful and went down easy. I enjoyed it. The Camarón Mission wasn’t too good. Everything on the plate wasn’t impressive. On the menu, it stated that If You Don’t Like It, You Don’t Pay It. I wasn’t charged for it, so I definitely respected that concept. The Tacos came with a quantity of three. They were excellent and so was everything else on the plate. I wanted to try one more item, since my meal didn’t work out. From the Entradas section, I ordered a Guacamole. In Pesos, it was 66. In the Entrees section, it was Guacamole. In USD, it was 3. The Guacamole came out fast and it was an excellent size for the price. It was certainly enjoyable. The Tip’s For Music group was decent. I thought it was weird that I was approached at my table by one of the members for a tip, though. The service was great throughout my visit. I didn’t have any issues. Overall, this was an awesome spot to stop at. If I’m in the area again, I might explore the menu more. Date of visit: 16/10/2024

I have been coming here every year for at least 15 years. Everyone loves the giant frozen margaritas; and they are delicious in all sorts of real fruit flavors. My favorite is the Cadillac on the rocks though. The ceviche is hands down the best I have ever had. It’s so fresh and expertly cut for the best ceviche you will ever eat. The chips are addictive and the guacamole is so creamy. The views are some of the best along the main road and the prices are very reasonable.

Horrible horrible experience. We came here for a nice dinner before having to take our ferry back to central Cancún. Our ferry left in 1.5 hours so we notified the servers we needed our food a little fast. It took 50 minutes just to get our table side salad. It was one of the worst salads I have ever eaten. Little to No dressing and what ever we did get was vinegar. Worst part was we found a bug in our salad!! Main courses came out all wrong and very poorly cooked. The frutti de mare pasta had sand from the mussels and was too sandy to eat. Terrible food and terrible service.

For a fine dining experience on Cozumel, PEPE's is the place to go. PEPE's is located right on the main drag and they always have a well dressed gentleman outside who will take you upstairs to the restaurant. This place is sooooo classy, clean and rich in decor. We kept in contact on occasion through Facebook and we able reconnect yesterday at Peppe's Grill in Cozumel where he recommended the ceaser salad that he made the dressing from scratch. We enjoyed our dinner immensely as it was a really nice quiet resturant with amazing views. The food was hot and tasteful The beers were nice and cold with chilled glasses. I wish we could have sampled more of the menu but we were stuffed. If you looking for a wonderful meal and great service go to Peppe's grill and ask for Christian or any other staff as they were all friendly. But remember to relax as your on Mexico time.

Ahhh… sooo.. we were in Cozumel for a very short time and ended up here twice! There were four of us looking for a late night dinner the first time. They were closing up shop and had about 10 min before the kitchen closed and invited us in with open arms. We were a little rowdy as well. The servers were very understanding and just laughed us off! VERY much appreciated… we’re from the states.. and I would say we definitely would not have had the understanding we had here! Second time there, Same group of us.. 4 ppl. We brought raw fish for them to cook for us..you choose a few sides you want and they charge a small fee to prepare it. Absolutely worth it. We purchased 4 cocktails.. and had them cook the fish (see pics w/requested side dishes). Bill was about $50 US before tip. Highly recommend!

Casa Cuzamil is a fantastic restaurant located outside of the hustle and bustle of the main shopping area on Cozumel. We happened to see them showing the Sunday NFL games as we walked to our hotel and knew we had to come back. The food was really good, especially the ceviche and aguachile. The bartenders and servers were so friendly and attentive to us as we sat eating and watching the games. They even have a second floor where you can eat, drink, and relax with a view. I will definitely be back in a future visit to Cozumel.

For once we were very happy with our meal. Nice setting (with a sports bar below but not noisy at all), reasonable prices, good service, nice food (Buffalo Wings, Pastor Burrito, Garlic Shrimps…), and most of all, no tricks. So tired of those restaurants who tried to sneak in tips without informing you, or trying to tell you how much to give. It’s a pleasure to think that you were tipping because you wanted to. The menu has quite a variety of options, and we have enjoyed everything we have ordered. We will return.

Jairo is an incredibly attentive waiter. This was our second time visiting this restaurant and it does not disappoint. The seafood molcajete was amazing the first time around. This time the grilled fish with garlic butter was amazing. My husband opted for the burger as he missed American food and thought it tasted great (and we live in the Midwest with great beef!) This is the first margarita in 3 days that had any alcohol in it and had great flavor! NFL games available on Sunday which we also appreciated.

We ordered the fish ceviche, beef fajitas and bahama mama cocktail. Each one was a great pick. We couldn't find comparable fish ceviche at the other 4 restaurants we went to (maybe bad luck). The cocktail was surprisingly huge. If you like banana smoothies, Bahama mama is a must try. Delish!! Wish we could go again just for the ceviche!!

Restaurante Punta Morena is a popular spot similar to Playa Chen Rio, featuring a large restaurant and beach area with plenty of hammocks. It's a bit more touristy than Chen Rio but offers a romantic getaway as it's not too crowded. There's a small surf school and the beach has a cover charge for access. The restaurant offers food and drinks directly on the sandy beach, although some visitors find it to be somewhat of a tourist trap with expensive options.
This facility was very cool. There's quite a bit of pushy sales when you first arrive. The food was tasty and the staff was accommodating. We were on a excursion with a cruise ship so our time was limited to enjoy all of the services, like a full massage. The beach area had a lot of rocks but wasn't a deal-breaker. Next time, we would fly and stay longer to enjoy everything fully.

Parking is free and you may use the sunbeds but you have to "consume" something there. The prices are very high and the food was not that good at all - soaked in oil. The good thing was that, at least when we were there, there was no pressure in ordering something all the time. The beach on the left side of the beach club is more rocks than sand. On the right side there’s a sandy beach but the waves are pretty high and strong. When our waiter handed us the bill I was pretty confused because it was way more than we had ordered. It was because he already put on a tip. If I hadn’t asked we wouldn’t have known. Keep that in mind 🙈🙃

We came here for the beach and ate some meals. Cash only (which all restaurants in the island I believe was like this.) Coconut shrimp was ok, they told us it was the special. We ate the guacamole which was okay. My son had the calamari which was also okay. Service was fast. The margarita was great, their mojito was okay. There were stores around the restaurant which had plenty to offer (we didn't buy anything). The ladies room had clean floors but there was no water to flush after use. Everything closes at 5pm, we were asked to leave the beach at that time.

Beautiful beach location. Lots of sellers but beware as prices are insane. Food is fine if you want traditional American gringo, tex-mex food. Not bad but definitely not Mexican. Nice beach and cool tropical vibe.

The beach was very rocky and limited snokeling can be done. We came because other side of the island was super windy and not safe to go into the water. The white sand was nice and there were pockets of water that kids can play but overall still too rocky. Water shoes are highly recommended.

Cute restaurant with a sandy beach. Parking lot was big however it was almost full with cabs and tour buses. We waited a while until we asked for a menu. Our server Jadiel was busy attending larger tables. My chicken enchilada was okay. Chicken was a bit dry and the same goes to my friend's chicken taco. There was a small beach and I went in for a quick swim. It's definitely a tourist trap with expensive drinks and food but it had a lovely view of the ocean.

During a recent Carnival Cruise excursion we visited this location for lunch and beach time. We were very disappointed in the condition of the facilities. The past pictures featured on Google are not accurate and the entire place is in disrepair. I ordered a piña colada and it didn’t taste of any alcohol. The nachos were ok but the chips did not taste fresh. The hammocks were very relaxing until staff came around every 5 minutes to see souvenirs that were over priced. They also didn’t know how to take no for an answer. This could be a really nice destination if someone could come in and clean it up. It was really sad and I wish I had taken some photos of the poor conditions.

The establishment offers a wide array of Caribbean-inspired cocktails, with rum taking center stage, and an enticing menu featuring Cuban-style cuisine. Guests can also enjoy flaming shooters that are sure to liven up the atmosphere. In addition to its culinary offerings, the venue boasts an impressive selection of authentic Cuban cigars, ranging from affordable options to high-end varieties.
This place is fantastic! Drinks, food and service were outstanding! Hector (our server) was kind, funny and on point! If you are in Cozumel you must try this place out!

We randomly entered this restaurant, and we don’t eat meat or pork. Although the waiter did not speak English, we understood each other and we ate the best fish ever here. Mahi Mahi with garlic butter sauce was great and guacamole and salads they bring was very fresh and delicious! Pricewise it is ok.

They have a nice air-conditioned upstairs dining area and bar, with outdoor balcony seating available for people watching on this busy touristy corner of Cozumel. My son's Texicana Burger was one of his all time favorites but the budget of fries was tiny. My other son's shrimp diavolo looked yummy but the shrimp still needed to be peeled and deheaded. My fish tacos were just okay. Fried fish and a bit dry. My wife's shrimp tacos were pretty good. Service was great! All in all, I would probably only go there for drinks if we return without kids.

Don't get me wrong. This is a lovely cigar-vibes upstairs bar directly across the street from the ferry terminal in El Centro. This service is excellent, and the cocktails are delicious. BUT, it is just not the same as the awesome Cocomama Tiki Bar that used to occupy this space. I miss you, Cocomama!

Came here on a whim walked right in and was seated. The staff was very kind and patient taking our order. There was a slight language barrier that resulted in my ordering fried shrimp that turned out to be sautéed. However, it was delicious and I ate it. the bartender was very kind and offered a variety of different drinks. We sat on the balcony which had an incredible view, and we enjoyed our time I found that the prices were reasonable, and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this location and restaurant to anyone.

Dream place for me to visit here in Cozumel. Had great service, Bob was awesome and the nice woman that helped me with the cigars who I believe is the owner was great! All of the cigars here are authentic and the Mojito was a 10/10 made with Havana club rum. Selection is huge and they were very attentive. Thank you for making a great experience for me while my wife and baby were back on the ship. Felt at home!

This lounge is located on the 2nd floor of a building in the plaza. Hard to find because there is no signage but I asked a few locals where it was. Not a big space, and the bar is great. The service was good too; this received 4 stars because of the Cuban prices. The selection was decent, but several of the cigars were a tad brittle and higher in cost than what I've seen. Having visited several LCDH locations abroad, this one was on the smaller side and pricier. Mixed with being hard to find and I couldn't give it a full 5 stars. That said, I think it's a good spot to pop in for a stogie if you're in Cozumel. The view is nice and seating should be easy to find.

El Abuelo Gerardo is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries traditional Mexican breakfast options with classic American fare. Diners are treated to an abundance of authentic flavors, complemented by homemade guacamole and salsa served with every meal. Popular choices include the refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice paired with eggs and chorizo. Venturing further inland from the cruise port led to this charming spot, where guests can enjoy complimentary chips, salsa, and guacamole upon arrival.
Came in further inland from the cruise port to explore. Glad we found this place! To start they serve the chips, salsa and guacamole. Their mixed ceviche was delicious. We make this at home often and let me tell you, this is one of the best ones we’ve had! The shrimp cocktail had a little too much ketchup in my opinion. Still edible just added a bit more lime. Our girls ate their cocktails just fine: The pineapple agua Fresca was very tasteful and fresh. Restaurant is spacious and clean. Staff was polite and pleasant. Not a long wait time. Will definitely stop by again!

Had a wonderful meal here with friends this morning. Really enjoyed the authentic, hometown experience and food. And, I didn't have to sell a kidney or other organ to pay for it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the authentic experience, with out the loss of organs in their body.

Nice place was within walking distance of where I was staying. Was looking for some seafood and this place popped up on google maps. I went in and was immediately greeted. I was asked for my drink and I ordered a pina colada. Was pretty good and came out in a large glass, schooner. I ordered some guacamole and in Mexico it’s pretty much just mashed up fresh avocados, which I’m ok with that. They brought out some chips with it, they are a bit thick but still ok. They also brought some salsa & pico de gallo which was quite good. I then ordered the fresh fish, red snapper, and they how you want it prepared and I choose grilled. It came out perfect, it is grilled whole and yes you have to deal with tiny bones but it’s manageable. It also came with black beans, rice, fresh avocado, and grilled plantain. It filled the whole plate & was delicious. They asked if I wanted dessert which I declined because at that point I was stuffed. I highly recommend and would definitely go back.

It was good, prices still affordable, although a little bit more on a tourist side of pricing spectrum, starter, main and margherita costed approx 32usd. Other than that, it is still nice quiet place, with very nice patuo/outdoor seeting area.

Great place for lunch or dinner with fairly affordable food. We had great service. Portions were fairly big and the chips & salsa & guacamole were on the house. This place takes credit cards in case you’re short on cash. We ordered nachos con pollo, tacos dorados, and quesadilla con pollo. Highly recommend in Cozumel.

This place is CASH ONLY and it's definitely priced to get overseas tourists' dollars. The menu prices are slightly cheaper if you have Mexican pesos vs USD. They charge $4 for a 16 oz bottle of water from Sam's Club or for a standard can of soda. Prices for ceviche are all $20+ USD. I ordered the $4 USD pico de gallo and chips. Despite ordering tortillas instead of chips, I had to flag someone down to bring me some corn tortillas as their chips are made in a shared fryer and aren't gluten-free. This matters to me as someone with celiac disease. I didn't like the corn tortillas as they had zero flavor. I also had the $24 USD shrimp ceviche, which I liked but could have used some more lime juice, and my husband had a $13 USD margarita that he said was watered down. I generally liked my food but 1 margarita, 1 bottle of water, 1 ceviche and 1 pico de gallo was $48 USD. I don't know who still carries cash but them not getting Starlink or something is severely limiting the amount of business they do. You will be approached by people trying to sell you stuff while you eat which is always obnoxious. Your table is in the sand and the waiters are barefoot, but I suggest keeping your shoes on as there were many rusty, metal bottles caps in the sand. You don't want to step on those barefoot. I ordered in Spanish but they do speak English for taking orders. There is zero cell signal out here and they do have restrooms. Visited January 2025.

Stopped off for lunch and a swim after a shore excursion. Great secluded location and the food is delicious. The service can slow down if it gets busy though. Also, CASH ONLY. They do accept American dollars. Lastly, the beach is rocky so be careful, especially if you're swimming.

My wife and I were on a cruise and did an excursion, which included a beach break. This was the restaurant/ beach included in the tour. The first thing we saw when we got off the bus was some guys feeding the gators. Super cool! We then went to the restaurant and were seated immediately. We got some margaritas, a Mexican coke, and a drink out of a coconut. The margaritas were great, and the coconut drink was tasty! We then got our food - beef nachos, fish tacos, and a shrimp quesadilla. The nachos had a great balance of gouda cheese to meat and chips. My fish tacos were full of fish and were very tasty! My wife's shrimp quesadilla was a bit plain, but freshly made and delicious nonetheless. Overall, it was a great place to stop at and the beach was nice. We aren't really beach people, but we can appreciate the views and ambiance. If we're ever in the area, we will stop by again!

We stopped here during an excursion while we were on a cruise. The place is exactly what you would want while on vacation. Great scenery, staff is super friendly, food is good and the beers are cold. The floor is sand so you're literally eating on the beach. You can pay to get a massage while listening to the waves crash, play some volleyball, or swing on a hammock after your meal for a little siesta. If you're lucky the mariachi band will appear and play some music for you. There's even a man who will personally serenade your table. All for tips of course. If your excursion takes you here or you're exploring on your own and pass by you won't be disappointed.

Save your money… this place is ridiculously expensive. This is a tourist trap… never again. Beer there is $7🤯🤯 half a mile down the road beer is $1. Plus they don’t let you walk out to the street. Workers stand outside like security guards. I am so sick of how many people fall for this overpriced cheap food and beer. The waiter said that their prices are comparable to places in the US…. No sir! I live near the beach in the US and I don’t pay $25 for cheap ceviche.

Overpriced drinks and NO Shower. They have a bathroom which is pointless. People wants to shower after being on the beach not 💩the water smells too and smurky. Just go and spend your money next doot. They at least have a shower (pressure low). We’re here on a port stop royal caribbean cruise.

Toro's Place is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable seafood experience. Nestled right by the water, this charming restaurant offers stunning views of Cozumel Bay from its second-story bar. After a day of snorkeling, guests can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like shrimp nachos, aguachile shrimp, and their standout fish burrito—an absolute favorite for many! The local seafood is incredibly fresh; diners rave about the exquisite taste of lobster tails and buttery conch shell meat.
Came on Christmas Day after a snorkeling trip and had one of the best seafood experiences of my life. We had shrimp nachos, aguachile shrimp, mixed seafood platter, and a fish burrito. Everything was exquisite. The fish burrito was my favorite dish. I had conch shell meat for the first time, it was buttery and juicy. I drank a sparkling water with lime juice that really hit the spot. Service was friendly and they checked in several times throughout the meal. I would definitely return! There is also a shower in the back in case you've just come from swimming, which was quite helpful.

We stopped in for lunch and were thrilled with the beautiful view. I will start by saying that the staff is wonderful and we really enjoyed the experience. The food was okay. Some of the people in our party enjoyed their meal. My daughter had the Mayan octopus and thought it was good. My son had the ribs and thought they were a little tough. I had the coconut shrimp and they were so dry and tough that I couldn't even eat them. The appetizer chicken strips were dry and had a fishy flavor ( probably fried in the same grease). Overall, I think the food could be really good, but it just didn't impress us this time. The great service and amazing view made up for it.

Worst meal I’ve ever had in Mexico. We were recommended to go here by our snorkel guide and it was a horrible end to a wonderful snorkel day. The fish burger is just chunks of soggy fish on a bun covered in hot nasty cheese, it falls apart as you try to pick it up. The fish tacos are just the same soggy fish on a plain tortilla with nothing else. Our 11-person table didn’t have a single edible dish.

Pretty good food. Their vegetarian options are solid. They may try to pull you off the street to eat there but o well. I would too if my living depended on it especially in low season haha. Good location right off the main strip. The restroom is a bit sketchy.. you have to walk down to the end of the alley and its pretty nasty. Servers are nice. Its pretty close to what i have dubbed hustler corner so i guess keep an eye out. There is a spot every time i come to Cozumel people try to aggressively get me to eat, rent a scooter, buy weed and coke.... so yea just watch out for that just up the street. Hahahaha. O mexico.

La casita de Indio 333 is a small family-owned restaurant in Cozumel that offers delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. The owner, Indio Salgado, takes great pride in serving excellent food to his guests. The menu features outstanding dishes such as shrimp and caracol ceviches, black beans and rice, seafood platters, and a variety of tacos. Despite the slow service, visitors keep coming back for the fantastic food.
Atmosphere is in the eye of the beholder, Casita de Indio is on a busy Avnienda, 20th, and is open walled on 2 sides, so there is traffic noise. If you want a realistic real MX neighborhood experience it is great, if you want a fancy dining room, not so much. The food, service and prices were great. Very friendly family runs it, waiter spoke passable English. Very nice LOCAL restaurant, not a "tourist" restaurant. Coconut and al diabla shrimp were great. The coconut shrimp were very fresh and I got 6 or 7 shrimp. If you want a realistic MX seafood dining experience, this is the place.

A little hole in the wall. Restaurant was clean and great ventilation. Food was simple and delicious. The seafood soup was tasty as well as the mixto ceviche and tacos. Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't the long strand of black hair in the bottom of the ceviche. We did bring it to our server's attention.

I asked for whole fish, and I was told they didn’t have it but they served whole fish to others who dined in after us. Also others were served before us although we ordered first (they show favoritism). Our food took a very long time to arrive but ironically everyone who ordered after us received their food quite quickly. Poor customer service and the quality of food was NOT worth the unfairness. We received impeccable service and amazing food at La Conchita. The prices there are even better!!! this place is low end trash. I generally love supporting small businesses / hole in the wall kind of establishments but this one is downright awful!!! The young boy (waiter) was pleasant and nice.

This tiny family-run place was right near our B&B, and we enjoyed it so much we ate there twice in a week. Each time, they brought yummy guacamole to start. We tried their shrimp, octopus and fish tacos, and all of them were perfectly prepared (though you may want to ask for lime with the fish tacos), and their homemade dairy-free horchata was quite yummy as well. Given the quality, US$2 per taco was a steal!

This was the worst pulpo we had in Mexico: They messed up our order and then gave us very litttle. It was very mushy and of low quality. Our table was "cleaned" half-heartedly before we sat down and the table was still very sticky. They brought guacamole for free which tasted great, so credit where credit is due. Would not recommend at all. There are so many great places on Cozumel - this isn't one

Very fun Roy, Joseph and the captain (we forgot his name so sorry!!!) lead an amazing snorkel tour we went to four locations were given plenty of time and always made to feel safe. Safety was explained in Spanish and English for travelers gear was cleaned in good condition and checked. The boat ride there was fun with staff being very friendly the guys also provided us with ceviche and margs at the end of our snorkel. We paid about about 200 for the snorkel and beach day which for us was worth it for two people including transportation to and from port still much cheaper than our cruise excursions! The beach club itself is pretty cute too a great photo spot the waters nearby are beautiful and they even had kayaks paddle boards and all kinds of ocean toys to play on. Staff was super friendly and treated us very kindly. Thanks for making our vacation awesome!!

My spouse and I had a solid experience here and they appear to be running an honest business model, which I very much appreciated. We were here for about 2 hours total and they pro-rated the entrance fee somewhat to make up for that fact, which I appreciated ($10/person). However, this was negotiated by a taxi driver that we befriended - I am not sure if they would've done that automatically. We ordered a few beers, which were solid and fair prices. The food looked really good, especially the ceviche, based on some other folks we talked with who were eating next to us. The water was amazing and appreciate the snorkel gear. You definitely need to use the dedicated ramp to enter the water due to coral at the beach (very painful walking there, which I figured out quickly enough). Beautiful and rich sea life right there at the property swimming in the water for over an hour. I would come back and spend the day there. Recommend!
Brian N — Google review
Nothing good to say about this experience. After paying nearly $300 for the package, we were constantly made to feel obligated to tip. Even after giving $15 USD each to three different staff members, we were met with sighs and disappointed looks, as if it wasn’t enough. The boat portion was underwhelming. We saw very little coral, and most of the time we were being hovered over by a woman, possibly the boat driver’s sister or daughter, trying to take photos to sell us. The snorkeling lasted about 20 minutes before we were rushed back to shore. The food included in the package was honestly inedible. It looked and tasted like something you’d give to a shelter dog. We were told that drinks like water and soda would be available during the ATV portion. When we arrived, there were none. We spent over two hours in the heat without any water, despite being promised otherwise. Transportation was also concerning. We were thrown into the back of a jeep with its check engine light on, and the driver tried to pressure us into operating vehicles after their so-called tequila tasting. I do not want to end up dealing with Mexican police for drinking and driving. To top it off, the Tortugas staff member driving us was speeding and swerving on the road the entire time. The tequila tasting felt forced and awkward. It was clearly another attempt to push tips, and we were asked at least three times to leave one. During the ATV ride, we were told photos would be included. But once it ended, the photographer tried to charge us $50 USD for ten photos or $20 for one. Helmets were not provided. My ATV lost power and had to be restarted eight different times during the hour-long ride. But the worst part of the experience was our instructor, a man in his fifties, who casually told us he was dating a thirteen-year-old. That was the final red flag. The “unlimited one hour of drinks” was also terrible. Staff deliberately avoided our table and took nearly ten minutes just to take an order. When the drinks finally came, they tasted like watered down rubbing alcohol mixed with a juice box. The beach was packed with rows of chairs and very few areas where you could sit or relax without feeling completely overcrowded. Taxi service was also an issue. It was extremely limited, and staff were unhelpful when we asked for assistance in getting a ride. This entire operation felt unsafe, unprofessional, and exploitative. I strongly recommend avoiding it at all costs.

We just return home from a Cruise to Cozumel. And we used Tortugas as our excursion company there. It was amazing. Seferino our guide did a great job driving us thru the jungle to the Cenote, with super fun ride on atvs, then a Tequila Tasting and the Club Beach. Limber was very attentive and polite over there. The water was delicious and beautiful, we were able to swim with lot of fishes around, do some kayaking, have lunch there and then they take us back to the cruise terminal. Thank you guys. Pd the only bad thing was tjat I almost got charged for some bailys drink that we did not order but that was fixed and they apologies for that. So be carefull before you pay your check there. Always double check just in case. Here I am ataching some pictures.

This was a very nice beach not too far away from the port our ship was docked at. We got a day pass which included everything except food and drink, and that's really where my complaint was. Way too expensive for tacos and beers on a Mexican beach. It was a jaw dropping disappointment. Then they charge you a Gratuity which no one tells you about, and the servers still want a tip for them on top of that. Aside from it being a bit overpriced, the beach is nice, but there's coral along the water line so the only way in and out of the water is a ramp. The snorkeling is great as the staff throw old food in the water to attract the fish. The kids loved the water toys too. Lastly, I really enjoyed the tequila tasting which was very informative. However, consistent with the rest of the place, I bought a bottle to take home which he charged me in pesos and it ended up being about 15% more in USD on my CC statement than he told me it would cost while i was sitting there. Watch out for the pay as you go things there! If you want to eat and drink, It's probably better to do an all inclusive package.

I would like to commend Lorenzo, our tour guide. He was so passionate and educational. He really made us feel comfortable and safe. He was thoughtful the whole time and friendly. I hope if we return we would get the privilege to have him again. Although we weren’t able to snorkel due to weather, we still had an amazing time.

Took a $12 taxi from the Royal Caribbean dock to this small "beach club." $35 to hang out at the cafe + laze on the shaded beach loungers + bounce on the big trampoline in the water + free snorkel gear to explore the waters around the dock + maybe kayaks? + a one-hour snorkeling dive from a catamaran. We didn't eat as the prices seemed pretty high, though the staff in the restaurant and at the equipment hut were fairly courteous and accommodating. The best part was the ride out to snorkel. Jesus, Alex and a young man, forgot his name, took very good care of us. I'm not a strong swimmer, so Jesus had me hang onto the side of one of those orange lifesavers. He pulled me along and made sure I had no problems. The crew explained what would happen next and had a cheerful attitude. I had taken my knee brace off to snorkel, so they were extra careful to get me back on the dock safely. They really were good at what they did in the short time we had! The water was beautifully clear, but there wasn't much to see. There were little patches of coral here and there and a few colorful yellow and blue fish. The time went quickly. There's sand on the little beach, but it's rocky by the water.

If there’s one dish that will haunt your taste buds long after you’ve left, it’s the King Crab at Gusto’s Restaurant in Cozumel, Mexico. My introduction to this unforgettable meal was thanks to a chance encounter with a gentleman named Terry Curry after an open play pickleball session at PikaPok Paradise Pickleball Facility. He shared stories of crabs and other amazing sea life he had seen diving off the coast of Cozumel and I knew that I had to try the local seafood fare. Little did I know, Terry would lead me to the most incredible crab I’ve ever tasted. Before the spectacular arrival of the King Crab, I had the pleasure of starting my meal with a lobster bisque—rich, velvety, and full of depth. It was the perfect soup to wet my appetite and set the stage for the dish I traveled the island to try. I’ve had my fair share of crab across the globe, but nothing compares to this masterpiece. The crab was an absolute revelation—succulent, meaty, and cooked to sheer perfection. Each bite was an ethereal experience, with the tender, flaky flesh practically melting in your mouth. You can taste the love from the chef in the preparation of this dish, as the crab was unadulterated by over seasoning or thick, heavy, sauce. The natural sweetness of the crab was so exquisite that the thought of dipping it into butter never even crossed my mind—though the butter, rich and delicious with the nostalgic taste of movie theater popcorn flavor, would undoubtedly be a luxury if you chose to indulge. But honestly, it wasn’t needed. The crab alone was so flawless, it stood as the star of the show. Every waking moment since my meal has been consumed by thoughts of those delicate, decadent morsels. I am utterly infatuated, and I hate that I have to travel a whopping 1768 miles (2845 kilometers) to relive the magic of this King Crab at Gusto’s again. If you’re ever in Cozumel, do yourself a favor—this dish is a must-try, and it might just ruin all future crab experiences for you. Absolute perfection.

The food was absolutely amazing!! When I saw amazing it’s the best seafood I have ever had. The seafood platter was enough for three of us to eat and be stuff with some left over. It was literally a struggle to stop eating because it tasted so good. The owner told us stories, made us laugh and shared his special family tequila. He really makes the experience special.

We stayed near this restaurant but didn’t see many cars there so we hesitated to go try it but on our last night we came here and now regretting not coming sooner. The food was delicious- our table had a seafood platter and fajitas. Everything was so tasty. The staff were so kind and friendly. It seemed like their were returning guests there as the staff were very excited to see some people which is always a hood sign (having regular customers). We will definitely be back and I recommend you to go visit here.

Absolutely amazing. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and the atmosphere is very cozy and unique. Each member of the staff approached us with friendly smiles on their faces. We ordered the Lobster Bisque as the appetizer then the special sea food platter for two. Hands down the best sea food we’ve ever had. The table beside us ordered one of the pizzas and also cleared their plate with smiles on their faces. We will be going there again. Also, please know they take credit card.

I don’t know how they have good reviews or comments about their pizzas. I was juts in there last Thursday and I ask the person that attended me about the oven, and he said it was just for the looks, they don’t longer cook in them anymore because of the heat. So I ask how do you cook them, he replies “the dough is already pre baked we just add the toppings and put them in the gas oven” ask again kitchen oven? He says “yes” So since they have good reviews I decided to give it a shot and order some pizza to go. BIG MISTAKE AWFUL PIZZA AWFUL DOUGH I END UP EATING THE SHRIMP AND THE LOBSTER BY IT SELF. THE DOUGH SUCE AND CHEESE ARE THE WORLD WORSE PIZZA EVER. BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE FEEE MARGARITAS DEAL.

It has been an extended period since my last visit to the sushi restaurant Cozumel Dreaming Sushi, but I must say that the meal I had tonight was absolutely delectable. To start off, I enjoyed a refreshing cup of green tea and some spicy edamame. As for the rolls, I indulged in some spicy tuna, yellowtail, and tiger rolls which were all bursting with flavor.
Food was 10/10, it was actually better than 10/10. We’re from the Bay Area/central California area and I can honestly say this place is one of the best sushi places I’ve ever had! Food was so fresh, filling, flavorful and service was impeccable! Great English and recommendations. Can’t recommend this place enough. We did the all you can eat and it was sooooo worth it. For appetizers we had coconut shrimp, shrimp tempura, crunchy scallops and beef skewers. Everything was tasty! For rolls we had jalapeño yellowtail, the whale (pictured) and (not pictured) baked salmon and the wow. Everything was delicious. Dessert was good as well! What we loved aside from the flavor was not only the customer service but the serving sizes were manageable as well and allowed us to taste the menu with reasonable serving sizes. One thing to note is it’s a cash/peso only establishment, so make sure you bring your money! Will definitely be back and will recommend.

Listen... I am not a sushi fan... My girls are so I took the liquid lunch option. I have to say first of all... Jorge was amazing. Exceptionally personable and honestly a wonderful smile. My lunch was perfect (Lol). The dishes were beautiful and the aroma were awesome. This place makes me want to like sushi. This place is most certainly a 'Must Visit'. BTW... My ladies said the food was great and now this will be the sushi 'Go To'. Hell, I might even give it a shot next time. If you enjoy sushi.... You'll love this place...... Even if you don't like it..... It is a great 'Hang'....

I got the Sunset roll & seaweed salad… delicious!! The staff is very welcoming and the vibe is relaxing. This place is a one man show, Brian works hard on his craft of making Sushi and it shows when it comes to your table.

Best sushi we have had, and you can't beat the all-you-can-eat price. This will be on our list every time we visit Cozumel. While everything was great, our favorites were monkey brains, the dragon ball, and the whale.

Best know secret on the island. Brian and staff provide the best Japanese foods for $490 Mxn AYCE. Order 1 or 2 plates before ordering more or they WILL charge you for overage. Brian is an artist when it comes to making rolls. The staffs are amazing. The waitress will keep your Sake filled... Just like they do in Japan. Been coming here for over 3 years. Love this place.

Great place! Sushi is fantastic. Best on the island. The staff is so kind and helpful. Very clean and well put together resturaunt. Sit at the bar for the all you can eat sushi you will not regret it. Portion sizes are just right and the price can't be beat! Not just the best sushi on the only but one of the best resturaunts period. Don't sleep on this place go eat at this place😉

Just cash but it's good for you guy's, flavors are music, fun and great complexity. Sushi with unique appreciation its a new style, a beautiful presentation in each dish will make you feel to try all the menú.

Hands down some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life! Actually, I couldn’t name another sushi restaurant off the top of my head so it IS the best. Every time I come to Cozumel or talk about the island I tell everyone about this place. Every roll I’ve had is incredible so just choose what ingredients appeal to you - and try something new too! The Dragon Ball is a dish you’ll remember for life both because of how uniquely prepared and presented it is and the amazing mix of flavors. My mom loves cooking and proudly sent me pictures of her homemade version a few days after she went home. And I can’t remember ever even going to a sushi place with them as a kid… To be totally honest I almost hesitate in posting this review because I don’t want to be fighting you for a table 😏 but the food is so good here I find myself dreaming of Cozumel when I’m hungry for sushi.

Faro Blanco is a restaurant located within a hotel that offers delicious and flavorful dishes. Visitors have praised the seafood risotto, which has been compared to top European restaurants. The complimentary prawn bisque and cheese pastry were also highly enjoyable. Guests appreciated the ocean view and relaxing atmosphere while dining. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, making for a great dining experience.
Great food and awesome service with attention to every detail. Had a nice view of sunset and dusk, which is a perfect setting for dinner. Loved every dish.

Best restaurant on Intercontinental property. Service was impeccable. The waiters were trained really well and were such gentleman. Food was 1st class. Prices were high but certainly well worth the quality of the food. We celebrated my birthday there and they really made it special. Highly recommend their Pad Thai.
Marat N — Google review
The only good restaurant in the hotel. I had such terrible food the past few days at the hotel paying high prices. Managed to try Faro Blanco on the last night of my stay and I was shocked at how delicious it was. The seafood risotto is actually so flavourful and can really compete with top restaurants in Europe. The complementary prawn bisque and cheese pastry was so delicious too. The view of the ocean with the sound of the waves was wonderful. Thank you for the great end to our stay 🙏

Our favorite restaurant on the IHG premises. Every dish was 5/5 - super fresh and bursting with flavors. Highlights included: ceviche, octopus, Peruvian corn chowder, and seafood risotto. The octopus in particular was so tender and paired well with the avocado, sweet potato, and beet chunks! Highly recommend this place for its seafood and somewhat local/Mexican-inspired dishes.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff and service was friendly and attentive while the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. We ended up dining in for dinner and had the short rib ravioli, mahi mahi, tres leches with coconut cream sauce, and coconut ice cream. The restaurant also provided a complimentary appetizer with a small glass of shrimp bisque with a cheese flaky pastry puff. It was all so tasty and I've never had a better tres leche anywhere. We would've ate here multiple nights if not for the short trip and definitely plan on coming back for the next!

Food and service here are excellent! David was our server and was super friendly and helpful with the menu. We got the Tuna Aguachile and lobster appetizers. For mains we had the pad Thai and the grilled mahi mahi. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Overall awesome experience!

This is a tiny restaurant within the Intercontinental Presidente featuring a variety of seafood dishes. Service was excellent and all the dishes and drinks were very good. The food has a bit of a modern twist but not too creative (in a good way). I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit the restaurant but it is definitely worth visiting while staying at the hotel.
