Italian restaurant
If you're looking to take a break from the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine, Kooben Laab is a must-visit Italian restaurant nestled in Cozumel. This charming eatery has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 2018 with its freshly made bread and pasta, crafted right on-site. The inviting atmosphere, complete with warm decor and friendly staff, makes you feel like you're dining at a friend's home.
I have a tendency to give less 5-star reviews on restaurants these days, but Kooben Lab is oh-so worthy. From their homemade bread, pasta, sauces, and tiramisu to the skilled kitchen staff and friendly, attentive wait and support staff, it's one to put at the top of your Cozumel dining list. The same menu items are available at lunch or dinner. The carbonara was supreme, and the salad with honey-mustard dressing not to be missed. I had to come back twice during the visit! Another great point is that it is NOT overpriced, really very reasonable, and therefore, dinner reservations are recommended. Thank you!

If you want authentic Italian cuisine look no further! K’ooben lab is an amazing family owned restaurant, one of the best on the island. The staff will make you feel at home and the food will make you think your Nonna made it, do not miss this gem! Breakfast lunch and dinner it’s a must for Cozumel!
Lisa B — Google review
The most important thing to say about the Laab is that they clearly care about food and that comes through in everything they serve. The ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. The dishes are creative and well executed. I have no critiques of the food and drink at all. We had: the mixed meat and cheese platter (all of which were delicious and a very enjoyed diversion from the typical fare in Cozumel), a mango-anchovy risotto that was so bright and lively, the carbonara (the best I’ve ever had. Their housemade pasta is excellent), and their chocolate cake (decadent in all the right ways but just shy of being too much). The drinks (red wine, mezcal, as gin cocktail) were all lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere - hands down. Their staff know and appreciate their food - and so they do their job well.
Terrance L — Google review
K'ooben Laab was recommended to us by multiple people before visiting Cozumel for our first time. By far the best place we've eaten on the island. Our server Joel was amazing and had the best recommendations for us. Everything truly is so fresh and the creators put so much care and time into each dish.
Brianna R — Google review
We were really impressed! It started with homemade cheese and tomato bread on the house..absolutely delicious! Then we had a great Bolognese. You can really feel the passion and love that goes into this place. Highly recommended!
Manuel — Google review
amazing!!! worth walking to go there!! prices are compatible with the food they offer! amazing pasta with shrimps and tiramisu was delicious!
Leticia M — Google review
This place kept popping up on lists of places to try in Cozumel and can confirm, it’s with good reason. The restaurant itself is slightly away from the main tourist drag-it has a cute rooftop area with creative takes on Italian staples. The focaccia and mussels with white wine were standouts-but the carbonara pasta and lasagna were both delicious. The service was excellent-they even offered to secure us a taxi when we clearly were too full for the walk back to our hotel. Definitely a must visit.
Amy K — Google review
I had such an amazing time! I’ve been to Kooban Laab so many times, and it’s been my favourite restaurant for years. I love that they always give fresh focaccia to start the meal. The portion sizes feel small, but the pasta is so well made. Also, I’m always full by the end of the meal, so one plate is the perfect size. Today we had Joel as our waiter, and he was so nice! He suggested they’re special for the day was the ravioli and it was legit the best pasta I ever had.

Mediterranean restaurant
La Cocay is a popular restaurant in Cozumel that offers a diverse menu inspired by Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines. The woodfired pizzas, including the Pizza Cocay and Hawaiian, are favorites among patrons. In addition to pizza, guests can enjoy a variety of tapas such as goat cheese empanaditas, sauteed calamari, and sliced tuna sashimi.
While staying in Cozumel for 4 weeks we love to visit La Cocay. Miguel was our server and did an excellent job along with the rest of the staff. This is a top notch restaurant and recommend. If you don’t like seafood it’s ok, there is plenty of other dishes to choose from. Please visit them and ask for Miguel.
Hollie R — Google review
We had a wonderful meal here last night, the staff were lovely, extremely attentive and kind. They could not do enough for us and we're very helpful. We ordered the mussels, fish of the day and the carbonara all were exceptional and a fantastic price. I ordered a cocktail and they gifted me the cup which was very kind they didn't have to. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!! 💖💖
Amy — Google review
This place was a breath of fresh air. Was looking for a classy Italian vibe in Cozumel and this spot fit the bill! It's off the main road a tad, tucked away on a one way street. The decor was beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was solid; I had the beef carpacio as a starter and the duck breast for my main. No drinks this time; while they have a full bar their main thing is wine (and I wasn't in the mood for vino.) For 4 people, the tab came to less than $150 tip; money well spent in my book. Highly recommend if you're craving Italian fare.)

Typically in Mexico I want tacos and authentic Mexican food. But after 10 days here, I need to change it up and I’m soooo glad we found this gem. Great staff, huge portions and great service and the food was amazing. I had leftovers for 2 meals!!! Super affordable if you don’t have alcohol. Desert was delicious. We’ll make this restaurant one of our local favs!!! It’s also very boujie if you want to dress up for a fancy occasion. If you’ve had your fill of tacos and ready for some authentic Italian cuisine, yeah- you’ll appreciate La Cocay!!! We definitely recommend it!!!

Excellent food and service. Would recommend going there early or making reservations as the restaurant gets busy after 8:00.

I can handle being told at 1015 as I sit down that they close at 11 so I’d better order fast. I suppose that means they want you out the door at 11. Fine. Respect. I cannot accept them forgetting I asked for my plate to be out in a to-go box along with the salad and dessert I didn’t have time to eat there. They didn’t have any to-go fork, knife or spoon they said. So I said okay, I’ll eat my leftovers, salad and dessert with my fingers in my hotel room just to get out of your awful energy that just wants me to leave. I’m a problem customer at 1015pm. What is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE is La Cocay messing up and me rushing, cutting up half my chicken dinner into finger-sized pieces to eat at my hotel with no flatware…nor napkin…but that they apparently forgot and then handed me a to-go box with, supposedly my leftovers…to discover a box of rice with half a sweet poroto thing and lo chicken. No sauce. None of the vegetables. Just dry rice and half a sweet potato thing. I’m totally offended. They probably picked my leftover half sweet potato thing out of the trash and dumped it on a pile of rice leftover in the kitchen. I paid like $25 for that chicken at the current exchange rate and they ganged me trash and stole my food. My bill was over $1000 pesos and I was rushed, pressured and hurried and they gave me trash leftovers. Imagine if I even ate this and got sick!! Totally awful experience.

Best restaurant in Cozumel! Our third year coming here, multiple times each trip. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable, especially our server Eliezar. Pizzas are an outstanding appetizer, and the pastas can’t be beat. Sit in the garden for some beautiful atmosphere. It’s a dream of place and our absolute favorite when visiting Cozumel 🩷.
M Z — Google review
This is a more expensive restaurant, but well worth it. The service is top notch, and the indoor dining area and outdoor eating area are really nice. We ate outside, and both had the fish of the day. Decent portions, and very tasty.

Guido's is a long-standing Italian restaurant in Cozumel known for its classic, seasonal Italian cuisine and laid-back atmosphere. Since opening in 1978, the restaurant has maintained consistency and evolved over the years. The chefs at Guido's blend French culinary skills with traditional flavors to create innovative dishes that please the palate. The menu features top-quality homemade Italian food, including fresh-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and their renowned seven-layer lasagna.
We went to Guido two days in a row. Great Italian food. Shrimp aglio pasta - excellent dish Garlic bread - crispy and delicious Sangria was too sweet for us but refreshing Shrimp Pizza was good but I prefer the pasta more. Love the ambience in the courtyard.

Excellent restaurant, near the downtown square, great food & service, clean bathrooms. Not cheap, water is bottled and about $3.50 each, well worth the money for a nice meal. We had a large group, can't split bill so recommend one person just pays for it and have others reimburse.
PC R — Google review
This place is an absolute gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service was fast, professional, and consistent, making the entire experience even better. The pizza was incredible, perfectly baked, loaded with fresh, high quality ingredients, and full of flavor in every single bite. The pasta was just as amazing, cooked perfectly al dente with a rich, creamy, and well balanced sauce that was packed with flavor. And the lasagna was absolutely perfect. Layers of fresh pasta, rich sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat made it one of the best lasagnas we have ever had. We also tried a few other items and everything we ordered was outstanding. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was far beyond expectations. If you are looking for the best pizza, pasta, and lasagna in the area, this is the place to go. Whether you are local or visiting, you will not be disappointed. We could not be more satisfied and we will absolutely be coming back again and again.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher. Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you. Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.
Isaiah — Google review
Amazing food. The staff are like family for the regulars that visit. I visit every time I’m on the island. The goats and green salad accompanied by the lasagna is a fav, of course that quickly changes depending on the daily specials. The house made sangria is always a good choice as you soak up the oasis type atmosphere in the back.
Wayne A — Google review
Guido's is one ofy great constants of the universe. This lovely little gem of a restaurant delivers great salads and seafood, and one of the most unique and yummy baked lasagnas anywhere. We go for the caprese salad, lasagna and their great home made sangria. Try it out and you're going to come back every time you come back to Cozumel.
Captain M — Google review
The food at this restaurant is excellent. I had the Mahi Mahi and it didn't disappoint. I also had a grilled shrimp appetizer that was delicious with garlic bread. Service and atmosphere outstanding.
Moa P — Google review
Modest storefront, lovely and spacious interior. We sat out in the garden area. I had the sweet potato ravioli and the tossed green salad. Both were fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. There was lovely Italian music playing and not too loud. The bathroom was uncommonly nice. Our experience could not have been better.

Breakfast restaurant
La Choza Cozumel is a popular family-run restaurant in Cozumel, known for serving authentic Mexican cuisine and regional specialties. The restaurant has a spacious interior suitable for larger groups and is open from breakfast to dinner. It's a place where you can enjoy traditional options like huevos rancheros or explore regional specialties such as huevos con chaya.
La Choza, Cozumel: A Must-Visit for Authentic Mexican Delight La Choza in Cozumel came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This gem delivered an unforgettable dining experience with its authentic Mexican cuisine, warm hospitality, and incredible value. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine friendliness, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. The complimentary chips and salsa were a highlight—fresh, homemade chips paired with a unique salsa that wasn’t the typical red variety but burst with flavor. We ordered the fajita mix with shrimp and chicken, and on a whim, asked to add beef, which was a brilliant choice. The fajitas were sizzling, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the authenticity of the cuisine. The homemade tortillas elevated every bite. We also got a side of rice and beans, which were unlike anything we’ve had in the U.S.—distinctive, flavorful, and a must-try. The margaritas were a standout: perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant itself was spotless, with a clean kitchen that added to our confidence in the food’s quality. The taxi ride from the Celebrity Cruises port was a quick $10, making it an easy trip. For two of us, the bill came to just $50, including drinks and a generous amount of food—an incredible deal for such quality. La Choza is a place where every detail, from the fresh ingredients to the exceptional service, comes together perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cozumel!

What a great authentic Mexican restaurant. Great value and flavorful meals. We’ve eaten here twice now and not disappointed with anything. Great service and great vibe. Definitely recommend!!! Ask what the daily specials are too!!! Delicious!!!
Maggie F — Google review
Great spot for authentic Mexican food! Tons of locals eat here and a lot less touristy compared to places right on the shoreline. It was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. The decor and atmosphere were really cute too Free chips and spicy cheese dip! 5/5 The fish ceviche was really good, it's a really large portion for an appetizer. 5/5 The beef quesadillas were so tasty! 5/5 The chicken fajitas were okay 4/5 The rice soup that came with the fajitas 5/5 The service was a little on the slower side, but I guess it's on island time! Staff were all very friendly and gave us English menus and were patient with my beginner Spanish. I'd definitely come back
Carmen — Google review
The food is wonderful. The staff was super friendly. Our group had the grilled chicken, the chicken mole, the flank steak, the chicken kabobs, and steak, beef, and shrimp fajitas. We split it all so we could try everything. It was all so wonderful that we couldn't pick a favorite.
Nick L — Google review
Easily the best choice for authentic Mexican (and really Yucatán) food in Cozumel. Classic dishes like guacamole and crevice are just about perfect. Don’t miss the chicken mole poblano!! Fish Veracruz is delicate and well balanced. Portions are large and easy to share. Lots on the menu for all tastes but best to stick with the Mexican specialties. Full bar. Very reasonable prices. Super casual setting without AC but still cool even on the hottest days. We’ve been coming here for 15 years and it never disappoints. Enjoy!

Excellent meal tucked back off the crazy avenue. Beautiful setting and the food was AMAZING and well priced. Highly recommend the Mole Chicken - it was the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely return.

La Cuisine in Cozumel is a popular health food spot offering a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and early dinner. The menu caters to vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores with an array of plant-based dishes such as fruit and smoothie bowls, tofu scrambles, vegan waffles and quesadillas, wraps, buddha bowls, fresh salads, entrees and healthy smoothies.
This island gem is the epitome of healthy dining. With a commitment to freshness and homemade goodness, it stands out as the healthiest place to eat. The Mediterranean bowl is a personal favorite, and their special meals never disappoint – a track record of consistently delicious choices. I've never had a bad meal here, making it my go-to spot for nourishing and satisfying eats.

So many delicious and healthy vegan options! Ate here twice while in Cozumel.

Healthy, fresh, and delicious food. I made the right choice coming here for breakfast. I ordered the green bowl and it exceeded my expectations. The preparation, presentation and quality was excellent. The menu has so many healthy delicious options to choose from so you will easily find something to satisfy your nutrition and make your taste buds smile at the same time : )
Jared L — Google review
We have been here several times and every time impressions was different. My husband is not vegan, so he really liked caesar wrap with chicken (though on one day it was really juicy and there was lots of sauce, on other day it had almost no sauce and tasted dry). He also liked Mediterranean bowl. I liked it too, but Mexicano was also nice. Tofu scramble was poor, small portion, insipid taste. Vegan wrap is absolutely same as Mediterranean bowl, but they added MUCH more balsamic vinegar and wrapped the salad in tortillas ;(( Better try bowl! Vegan sandwich was poor too, I didn’t even eat it. In menu it says there is pesto sauce, but they put it like a DROP 🥲 of it, and it had rotten taste and smell. Then cheap bread, bunch of spinach, drops of mustard and a little bit avocado… I returned it. Be aware of rotten spinach leaves and lettuce. I tried Afrodisiaco juice, it was really good. If you look for quality and good taste definitely go to Nutty Treesome cafe in Downtown, those guys will treat you as best friends, and they care about quality of ingredients. You will find awesome sushi and best ever burgers, you’ll love it even if you’re not vegan!
Liliia K — Google review
Ate here a couple times while visiting Cozumel! They have a mini store attached to the restaurant that has all your handmade hygiene products, natural peanut butters and spices. The menu is fairly large with lots of options to pick from! The staff was nice, and the prices were decent. The smoothies are the best !
Alliey K — Google review
A great spot with a tonne of vegan options.
Olia — Google review
I was excited to find this spot but the hours on Google are incorrect. The hours on their door also seem to be incorrect as I came at 6:15pm one day and they were closed already (despite having 7pm close time on their door). Food wise they are a solid option for those with dietary restrictions (dairy free, gluten free, vegan). The juices are EXCELLENT and worth the price. The flavoring of the food during our first visit was lacking. We ordered the vegan quesadilla (which turned out to be tacos) and the avocado lovers toast. The next day we ordered a smoothie bowl (which made up for the previous day) and an omelette. Both options were tasty.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu including vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With its enchanting garden space and extensive menu featuring specialties like vegetable enchiladas and lime soup, Casa Mission promises an unforgettable dining experience.
Our tour guide suggested Casa Mission for lunch and he did not lead us astray. This place was phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful, service was top notch, and the food was amazing. Our group of 10 was attended to very quickly and the soup, bread, and chips and salsa were the perfect start to our meals. We were almost too full for the entrees, but we pushed through. So good!!! Do yourself a favor and go here!! We will definitely come back!

I am a local and I’ve read about this place on Facebook for several months so I decided to try it. Highly recommended! Great food (try the mole enchiladas), great atmosphere, Mexican music being played by a live trio. And their table side guacamole is delicious! They are dog friendly too. Some places are dog friendly but that can be a problem with the dogs that are not well behaved. When you arrive, they share a list of dog rules with you and if your dog cannot follow them they will not allow the dog in. Or, if your dog breaks the rules, the dog has to leave. Makes for a great experience!Rebeca was my hostess and she was very helpful. And Armando was my waiter and he did a great job. Try to get them to help you when you are here.

We have been to Casa Mission several times over the years. It seams to stay the same for the most part. During this visit at the last minute it was discovered that we were in a rush to get the next ferry back to the main land. They jumped right up too the task and got us right to the boat in about 20 minutes. So good food good service and good prices. Good luck and have fun.

What a great restaurant! Such a wonderful meal; flavorful and delicious. Authentic and what a beautiful setting. Service is great and live music was a great plus. Nice restaurant for a special occasion or just because. Dress up or not, but it’s a lovely place! Definitely coming back and you won’t regret trying it!

Eating dinner at Casa Mission was a delightful experience! The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with a lovely outdoor dining space as well and evokes hacienda architecture. The waitstaff are very friendly and the service is quick! Drinks are fantastic, especially the margaritas. We had the beef steak nachos, ceviche, and shrimp burrito and everything was freshly made and so delicious. The ceviche was very refreshing, and I could eat it every day. Casa Mission is a must visit!

Excellent place to avoid the nonsense high density tourist areas. Nice chill spot to grab some high quality food and take in some cool architecture and sights. Paying took quite a long time and our taxi was waiting outside thinking we bailed on him. I think it took 30min to pay. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, he makes it right in front of you.

We were in Cozumel as a stop on a cruise. We hired a local to show us around the island. For lunch he took us to his favorite restaurant, Casa Mission, and I'm so glad he did. You should do the same. Everything was fabulous! All 14 in our group felt the same way. Among the things we had were chips and salsa (pico de gallo), margaritas, fajitas, ceviche, queso fundido, guacamole, y más. No disrespect to the places at the cruise terminals as we've enjoyed them in the past. But if you want to venture out and eat where the locals do, this is the place. ¡Salud!

Pancho's Backyard is a popular upscale dining spot located in downtown Cozumel, offering delicious brunch and dinner options. The restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes, including the catch of the day and delectable dessert choices. In addition to its tasty brunch, Pancho's Backyard also serves up an array of cocktails, such as the renowned banana margarita.
The original location of Pancho’s Backyard used to be packed every time we visited. Since less tourists seem to walk the entire strip of Downtown Cozumel it is a bit less busy but still just as charming. Its indoor/outdoor atmosphere fits the location perfectly and you will always have great service and lovely music. The food is good as well, if generally a bit touristy but it doesn’t matter because Pancho’s always makes you feel like you’ve come home.

Ambiance: Mexican restaurant with beautiful views of the cruise ships/ocean with an upscale traditional/rustic style atmosphere. Their margaritas are large and hit the spot! The guacamole is a must order. We shared a few traditional Mexican meals - all were delicious! They offer free wi-fi and have an entire shop attached where you can get souvenirs and more. Friendly and fast service! Clean bathrooms and clean space. Great for tourists, families, and enjoying a nice meal in Cozumel.

Stopped by for Lunch. This place was recommended. Food, Drinks, and overall atmosphere was great. I took a few pics of some things I ordered. Beef Fajitas, and chicken enchiladas. Bathroom was the best smelling and cleanest I've been. When Im back in Cozumel with stop by again. A+++

I had a wonderful Mothers day meal here. The food was fresh, splendidly plated. The frozen lime margarita was refreshing on a hot day. The fried ice cream was yummy. You walk through shopping area to get to the restaurant . The staff at the shops really weren't pushy at all. The seating area is gorgeous with fountains and statues. Carlos was my waiter and we chatted for a while. I will definitely return.

This pace is a hidden gem. Came here because a local at a different restaurant said this place would be better. There was no lies detected!!!!! This place is beautiful! From the atmosphere to the look and feel of the place, just beautiful. The worker here are by far the nicest most sincere people on the island. The food was some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine you pups have and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.
Dennis N — Google review
My wife and I have come here 2 previous times while on cruises to Cozumel and loved the atmosphere and margaritas. Unfortunately, when we returned today, we were disappointed. Although the margaritas remained good and strong, the food quality declined significantly. Our chips were stale. The guacamole was tasteless and the salsa had no spice to it. My chicken fajitas were also bland and given the very expensive cost of everything, all the portions were very small. Come for the margaritas and the atmosphere and not the food. Very much for tourists only. The first question we were asked was what cruise ship we were on. Why should that matter?

The special today : beef taco was delicious and flavorful. Chilli sin carne is great for people under animal protein restrictions. The coffee flan with egg nog is so delicious. The restaurant has great ambience and the entertainment with local flavor is perfect.

The variety of fresh ingredients allows for options like vegetarian, egg and chorizo breakfast, and steak burritos.
This was a recommendation from a friend who lives in Cozumel. It was absolutely delicious. I had the steak and shrimp burrito and my husband had the shrimp burrito. The chips and salsa were amazing as well.

The people are so sweet, each time I go in we have a nice conversation (whether it is in English or Google Translate we make it happen)!! Plus the burritos are to die for - the vegetarian breakfast burrito and the chicken burrito are what I have had and wow oh wow they are packed with not only flavour but food! Such a good price too. I've attached a picture of the breakfast burrito.

Burritos are amazing, fresh ingredients and made with love. Beside that the owners are really caring for their guests. I had a wrong order to pick up and they went all the way to my house to super quickly to bring me the right one! All that with a smile and making me feel very welcome. 100%reccommended!

I was in Cozumel for 10 days and I went to Burritos Gorditos at least 6 times - a testament to how delicious their food is. I loved the beef barbacoa, the veggie breakfast, the spicy shrimp and the veggie burrito. The staff are also really friendly and the vibe is spot on. A must try in Cozumel.

Nestled in the vibrant downtown of San Miguel de Cozumel, El Coffee Cozumel stands as a cherished gem among coffee lovers. This charming café exudes an old-world ambiance and is passionately operated by coffee enthusiasts who take pride in hand-sourcing and roasting their beans. Visitors can indulge in a delightful array of beverages, from superb lattes to refreshing iced coffees made with organic beans sourced from the Mexican highlands.
Nice local coffee shop off the main street. Their cheesecake was amazing. I wish I could find the same cheesecake in US🙀Coffee is fresh grind, fresh brew and so tasty.

What a great hidden gem 💎 of Cozumel. We had a great time here. The pastries are amazing! The coffee and food was prepared on time and tasted amazing. The whole ambience is similar to a small local bar so you won’t see many Americans tourist which is a good thing. Recommend it!

Kondesa is a top dining spot in Cozumel, offering a refined gastronomic experience in a jungle-inspired setting. The restaurant features an open dining space with a romantic atmosphere and uses locally sourced products to create traditional Mexican dishes with modern twists. The menu focuses on meat and fish dishes of high quality. With its outdoor garden, Kondesa provides an upscale dining experience where guests can enjoy local and international cuisine under the stars.
Easily the best meal we’ve had in Cozumel. First, little tortillas stuffed with refried black beans topped with mole sauce and nopales. Second, Lionfish cakes (ask for the habanero cream sauce on the side). Entrees, I had the Octopus Pastor and my wife had the Red Snapper “Mayan style”. Finished off with the dessert special, a corn panna cotta over a corn cake made to look like an ear of corn! Everything was delicious, can’t recommend this place enough!
Matthew S — Google review
I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed. The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. It felt more like something I’d get at a resort rather than a local gem. As someone who’s quite picky and came to the island specifically for the food experience, it just didn’t hit the mark. BUT—the atmosphere? 10/10. Service? Even better. They lit mosquito coils for us, sprayed bug repellent when we asked, and the staff were super attentive and sweet. Music? Absolutely fire. Seriously, the playlist was amazing. I do suspect the restaurant might be owned or run by Americans, which would explain the flavor profile. And one thing that really bummed me out: I came alone and wanted to try the Chef’s Menu, but they wouldn’t serve it unless there were at least two people. That felt a bit unfair, especially for solo travelers. Overall, this place has a great vibe and fantastic service, but if you’re a foodie hunting for bold, authentic Mexican flavors—you might want to keep looking.
Vivi C — Google review
We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant and the food was beyond amazing. But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Victor and Sergio took such good care of us. We loved the unique flavors of every dish and you could tell the chef was on top of his game. Definitely will be a return visit when we come back to the island.
Stewart C — Google review
My friends and I had an amazing time here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the music added a perfect touch to the evening. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. I also really appreciated the decor—it’s stylish and gives the place a great atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d recommend, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!
Norris L — Google review
Very Limited vegan options, but there is one which is very tasty (cauliflower tacos). Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. Hopefully you are not too hungry as a vegan and come for the atmosphere instead. :) Very nice light music, breeze of the open air, mood lighting, dare I say romantic, with a starry night sky through the greens. The service is very friendly and attentive. And some free parking right outside of the restaurant. Recommend.
Olia — Google review
We had an Amazing experience! We parked up front. We were greeted beautifully and we got to choose our table. The ambiance is very relaxing. It wasn't dark yet so we didn't get to see all of the lighting but it was very beautiful with all the greenery and jungle vibe. We tried the lobster fundido, the corn on the cob, dumplings and the lionfish cakes, for dinner and shared. The lionfish cakes and corn was my favorite. Don't get me wrong everything was phenomenal! Every dish had its own uniqueness and the sauces that it came with paired perfectly together. We made room for dessert and tried the special which was cornbread cake and ordered the Katrina as well. Both of these desserts were AMAZING!!! Omg the presentation was out of this world! I loved it All😍
Heidi G — Google review
Lovely outdoor dining experience with excellent food, drinks and service. Lionfish cakes and Mayan snapper were really good as was the tropical margarita with a hint of spice. Victor took excellent care of us, gave us some good suggestions and was very professional. One of the better meals of our visit to Cozumel.
Kevin R — Google review
If you’d like to taste something local, but with a modern twist, complemented by friendly service and great ambiance, look no further. And by eating the delicious lionfish patties, you’ll be supporting the local marine biodiversity since lionfish is an aggressively invasive species and a threat to the coral reef.

A local brewery close to the ferry. Good selection of craft beers and a wood fired pizza oven for delicious pizza. There's a quiet and quaint patio in the rear.

Just WOW! This place really deserves a proper highlight.. best place in Cozumel if you enjoy drinks and good food. Don’t need to say more but owner and all the staff were super attentive and make our 1 hour here the best time.

This brewery was great. Good beers with a good selection. They alsonsold local rum and I was able to pick that up. The food look great but we did not eat anything. There is no AC in this building and that might be the only negative thing. They do have lots of fans blowing on you but it's still hot.

Amazing brewry that reminds me of a Michigan microbrewery! Owner is from Michigan and has found a way to be a perfect staple in Cozumel. Try their pizza, craft brew and ceviche!
Matt B — Google review
It’s just a great place. Very comfortable and friendly. Great beer and food. Where else can you get Lionfish pizza?! A breath of fresh air in a sometimes frenetic Cozumel. Spent $100-$200 per person in pesos.
James B — Google review
We had heard so much negative about the beer. I've been drinking small brew pub beers since the 80's and think they are doing an excellent job. Style wise spot on. The pizza was great as well as the ceviche. Definitely worth stopping in and I will be back for sure. Edit from last year, Still 5 across the board, pizza great, ceviche great and the beers are improved from last so still good

I’m not into lion fish on my pizza so I’m not reviewing the food. Check the menu for yourself. The atmosphere is run down. There’s no interaction between you and the staff or others at the bar so show up with your friends. The beer is ok to pretty good but nothing to get excited about. I will say that they have a great pizza oven.

I got the Florentine eggs which was the same as their eggs benedict with the addition of spinach, side salad and salmon. It was decently good! The brioche bread was a nice touch but it did fall apart a bit fast. Overall yummy but I would try a different bread than brioche next time

Our normal breakfast place was closed and we came across this place with the waffles Benedict and decided to check it out. We are frequent travelers to Cozumel and have tried lots of different places. What a wonderful place with absolutely delicious food. My Mexican spouse got the Big American Breakfast (it is what she orders when we are in the US) and if you are a gringo and want a big American breakfast this was better than the one at home (I live in Mexico now). The eggs were perfectly cooked (she likes them well done), the bacon tasted smoked and was so thick and juicy, and the waffles were perfect with big and fluffy hash browns that I had to try. They were exquisite. I had the Oaxaca Chilaquile Mole and it did not miss a beat. The mole tasted just like it does in Oaxaca and they captured the flavor perfectly. We feel bad our normal breakfast place was closed (by the government) but now we got a second place after being so disappointed in many other choices. We will be coming here half the time now. Sorry to the owner of our ex favorite breakfast place. You are now tied on the island.

The restaurant features a small air-conditioned dining room and a charming garden area. It opens in the evening to cater to locals and tourists seeking an upscale dining experience after the departure of cruise ships.
The food is creative, high quality and delicious. The service was spot on - the right balance of being really pleasant and informative about the menu and giving us to space to enjoy the food without interrupting frequently or inappropriately. The serving size was very generous so we could have ordered one less dish... Forgot to take a pic of our fave pork dish! A very special good value restaurant.

If you like all your food to be super sweet then this place might suit you. But we like some sweet and some savory. The cauliflowers were sweet, the fish of the day was sooo sweet and buttery I thought my arteries would be clogged by the time I was done. The potatoes were okay. The corn was delicious. The only reason we went to this place was because we had such an amazing experience at its sister restaurant, kondesa. Which was amazing!!!!! Highly recommend the sister restaurant.

You need to come here. This is 5 stars on all accounts The food is amazing. Wood fire oven pork ribs with Jamaica-agave glaze, rosemary potatoes, Yucatán salad with a side of fired roasted elote (corn) with 5 chili aioli, tamarind and sesame seeds. 😋 Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here. The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Come here. Get the ribs. Leave happy.
Janis J — Google review
Thoughtful unique food that taste great and is good value for the price.  We tried the chef's degustation, octopus, skewered shrimp and a cocktail. All of the dishes were great and none disappointed.
Natalie C — Google review
Great food and service. The wood oven in the garden makes it cool. We took the tasting menu, which was tasty every bite. The meats were superb (pork belly and picana) as was the lobster flat bread. And also the cocktails were well balanced with sweet sour spicy and strong. I only recommend the staff to tidy up a bit more (empty wine bottles laying around, unused tables on a stack). Cocktails +-120p, 5 course menu 700p is reasonable price for this quality
Hannah B — Google review
My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner while traveling with family. The food was presented beautifully, it tasted wonderful. The octopus was the first I've ever had that was really soft and not at all rubbery! Our service was exceptional, and when we brought back the family for New Year's Eve cocktails and dessert our server recognized us and stuck around to chat. You'd never guess from the outside what a beautiful garden the tables are in - it's so romantic and removed from the noise of the city. This is a beautiful spot and so reasonably priced for the quality of their food!

My favourite restaurant in all of Cozumel!!!! I'm a vegan, and this is not a vegan restaurant, but the chef created an amazing dish for me that was not on the menu. And every time I return he amazes me with a new and exciting creative meal made just for me. I wish they would add them to the menu. The place is amazing and the seating is mostly in their rear garden with wonderful decor and they usually have live music. On the one day that they didn't the manager Daniel sang a duet with me which was received with a thunderous ovation from the dining guests.

Crazy King Burrito is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Cozumel, offering a relaxing oceanfront dining experience. Known for its generous portions and fresh ingredients, the burritos come in two sizes with various protein and veg combinations. The asada and shrimp burritos are particularly popular. Additionally, the restaurant offers a big vegan burrito for those with dietary preferences.
Being from Texas I thought I knew a great burrito, but I was wrong all my life! This place is exceptional! The tortillas are fresh and grilled to perfection. The chicken, shrimp chipotle, and asada steak burritos are wonderful. I come here everyday when I’m in Cozumel. I love the salsas too! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Awesome burrito- really worth stopping in. Great quick service! Crazy King Buritto has some legit big shrimp in it! Great prices too. Nice seating on the sidewalk.
Rob J — Google review
While the burrito is good, it's nothing special for the price of $18$ for a burrito and a Fanta. For the quality, the price isn't equal, and there are many better spots on the island where you get your money's worth. It's definitely where tourists eat, which coincides with the way they charge their prices. I won't be going back.

Crazy King burrito is it family owned place here on Cozumel. They make delicious burritos, best on the island! Each burrito is cooked with care. Nice staff, burrito is nothing special. I got the king sized king burrito. For the price, I was hoping for a giant super delicious burrito. However, I have had better and bigger burritos in California for cheaper and better flavor profiles. Probably would try a different burrito restaurant next time.

Just few blocks from the cruise terminal and one block away from Mega store. They have different options: burritos, tapas, burgers, pasta, salads as well as desserts. I ordered a blue cheeseburger. A bit heavy but really tasty. You can choose the ingredients for your burrito. Thanks for the amazing service.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The food was completely tasteless, and the drinks were just as bad — we couldn’t even finish them. To make things worse, the entire place had a strong smell, like a public restroom, which made it really hard to enjoy the meal. The service was also disappointing, with staff showing little interest in helping or making us feel welcome. Definitely not a place we would return to or recommend.

Great food. Excellent service. Vegetarian friendly, quick to accommodate vegan/plant based. One of the best on site vegan burgers ever. Portions are large, that includes the drinks, which were definitely fulled with liquor. We had vegetarian lasagna, veggie nachos, vegan burger, chicken wrap, mile high apple pie (packed with apples & vegan friendly), margareta, pinecolada, water, cranberry juice, guacamole. Great dessert selection. They are on site made too. Nice decore. Clean. English/Spanish. Highly recommend.

After our first visit, we were there every morning for breakfast unless we had a morning boat dive. The best menu for our breakfast and lunch!! I'm particular about eggs being thoroughly cooked, and the chef got them consistently done to perfection. Fresh fruit with each plate was a perfect addition to breakfast. Iced tea with fresh lime was our beverage of choice. Excellent, welcoming and accommodating service, impeccably clean restaurant, excellent menu and food presentation. I did not eat waffles/pancakes, but family members said they are excellent, and the syrup is incredible. It is a wonderful thing when traveling to find a place to eat that you know you'll have a great meal, no matter what you choose on the menu. Thank you to everyone at Rock 'n Java!! Already missing the food and hospitality, but this will be our go-to spot when we return to beautiful Cozumel. 💜

Superb! We went yesterday/Sunday ~4:30pm to try their Happy Hour: 2x1 drinks. Lovely wall murals, service is friendly & fast. Portions are huge & easily shareable. High speed wifi is available (ask your waiter for the pw) & they accept credit cards without extra charges (note: I find it strange & less likely I will return to the places that charge fees esp when places are charging close to US prices for meals). 1 small bathroom (toilet & sink) but they keep it clean, the restaurant was clean as well. • Bahama Mama & Long Island Ice Tea (190 pesos) - advertised as 22oz drink with 4 shots - both excellent • Steak & Eggs (230 pesos) - so good ❤ steak was juicy & tender, definitely go back to share this large plate again! • Large Tuna Salad (170 pesos) - the green salad was drier than I expected & the ranch was super thick.. maybe it's better with vinaigrette/italian dressing

Was busy for lunch so I was lucky to get a table. Good menu options especially with my favourite dish burrito. You can order with pork chicken or beef. Restaurant
Maple Bakehouse is a popular coffee shop and bakery with three locations in Cozumel. They offer a wide range of meals throughout the day, catering to various dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The bakery is known for its freshly baked breads and pastries, with occasional finds of gluten-free treats. Maple Bakehouse combines local and international flavors in their freshly made meals, satisfying hungry stomachs from morning until evening.
The breakfast is incredible. The staff is amazing. French press coffee, and the fruit plate is a great way to start your order. The poached eggs on rye or the poached egg stuffed brioche with the avocado mousse were perfection. The pancakes are the best I've ever had anywhere, much less in Cozumel. Hope to try the lunch menu on our next stay in February.

The guava croissant was so good I wanted to hug the chef and let them know that they are loved and valued. Best guava croissant I have had in my life! Only sad I got the last one. I don’t even remember how the coffee was like but was probably good too.

Great spot for breakfast! Cozy little café with a warm, relaxed vibe and super friendly staff. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the rest of the breakfast menu had plenty of tempting options, whether you’re after something sweet, savory, or in between. Coffee was solid, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer. We left full and happy—and already talking about what we’ll try next time. Definitely worth a return visit if you’re in the area and want to start your day off right.

Wow - Just wow! This was our best meal during our stay in Mexico. I recommend getting the Sourdough Vasco and 1 or 2 pastries for a couple. Perfect amount of food to get your day started. Coffee was also fresh and tasty!

Adorable cafe! We got pastries and coffee to take back to our rental. Everyone loved them. Everything was fresh and tasty and the staff was so kind and helpful.

They have great gluten free bread and treats. So friendly and yummy coffee and lattes. We are hoping we can go back this trip in Cozumel!! Highly recommended. Asked for the gluten free bread to be made into French Toast and they said no problem!

Lebanese restaurant
Taco restaurant
Arabian Tacos is a surprising find in Cozumel, Mexico, offering authentic Lebanese flavors such as falafel, hummus, babaganoush, and tabouli salad. This restaurant has been a local favorite for years and is known for its focus on vegetarian and vegan options. The owner's Turkish background adds to the authenticity of the cuisine.
The food was excellent. The chicken kebab, swarma, and the coconut dessert was delicious. The service was good and fast. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating.
Pavel F — Google review
Nice place to visit with a funny old man preparing the food. We ordered tabboleh, hummus, baba ghanosh, kafta, tacos and kibbeh, everything was good. You can sit outside under the tree and have you food. Nice place to visit and it is worth to meet this old man Lewis Shakkor whenever to visit Cozumel.
Mustapha N — Google review
A hidden gem with great labanese food!! Everything was cooked to perfection!! Highly recommend the fried meatballs, falafel, stuff cabbage, hummus salad, kofta and many more. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Cozumel. Also they just recently renovated and there’s an option to sit inside with the AC.
Jessie G — Google review
This place is an absolute must if you’re in Cozumel! Every dish is incredibly delicious, with homemade flavors that are both comforting and healthy. They offer so many amazing vegan and vegetarian options, making it a perfect spot for everyone. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Plus, the owner personally takes care of the guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Highly recommend!
Emiliano M — Google review
My family of 3 and I went and were delighted by everything we got (taboulleh, hummus, grilled chicken tacos, crema de coco). Our server was the owner and told us stories about how he adapted his Lebanese grandmother's recipes. We sat on the porch under grape vines with a breeze. We love Arabic food and were very pleased.
Allison L — Google review
Insanely good food! The falafel was the best I’ve ever had and the tacos (beef and pork) were beyond description. They even had outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs. A must try if you’re in town!
Stephen C — Google review
You’ve got to come here for the food. Lebanese tastes in Cozumel Mexico… it’s simply something you have to try. It is authentic Lebanese tastes with the falafel, yogurt, pastries and more, you do not want to miss this place. Spartan in it’s environment, the food is what will make the impact. The secret to eating great in Cozumel is to move away from the touristy areas. Away from the touristy areas, you’ll find delightfully tasty morsels like this. Now, what I appreciate about Arabian Tacos is the natural and authentic flavor of the Lebanese tastes with a hint of fusion.
Von — Google review
This place is a must visit! The owner's daughter is very friendly, and the food was incredible. They use the grapevine leaves for their dolmas and their fresh herbs are a nice touch and shows the quality of their food. The chicken tacos were some of the best I've had and the tortillas were perfect.

This restaurant is known for its delicious Mexican food, and the drinks are top-notch. The staff are friendly and genuine, making it a great place to visit.
Great dinner spot! Tostadas with coconut shrimp and tuna were both delicious, clever flavor combinations. Birria tacos also excellent, for sure something beyond the average taco place. Friendly staff and relaxed outdoor seating on the sidewalk.

Wow, what a cute special place!! We bumped in here by accident and were so lucky to find this restaurant!! The food was impeccable, the waiters gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. You HAVE to try the Roca Coco and “la mezcalina”/“margarita de coco”!! Very local cuisine and the drinks just perfect!! Definitely worth a stop 👌🏼
Isabel S — Google review
Amazing food in an authentic setting, made and served by the kindest people. The tacos are really delicious and fresh - not your average taco that you find everywhere - here you’ll find the crunch of bbq tuna, elevated by the tanginess of pickled onions and the smokiness of grilled onions in a single perfect bite… wash jt down with a mezcal cocktail or an ice cold beer, while admiring the little Mexican flags above the sleepy street, dancing in the wind… places like this only exist in movies or dreams. Gracias Rewie!
Fiona D — Google review
The hype is real! Went there last night and might go back again tonight, definitely later this week. ☺️ Everything was delicious, the service attentive and friendly, with great suggestions provided. Inside or outside seating. The main didn’t get a photo because it was gone (right away, so good).. but the guac and their spin on tiramisu pictured were great. Besides yummy food, they also had great NA/mocktail options (along with full bar with 2x1 liquor) and plenty of gluten free options as well.
Christina Z — Google review
Wow, fantastic tostadas, tuna and shrimpy tuna were our favorite. Great special cocktails and excellent service. Very unassuming location, so check it out and be surprised when you get a great meal. Great value as well.

MBS P — Google review
Absolutely incredible food, I was just shocked what they can do. The menu is genuine and fresh and served properly, and the flavors and tastes of the 3 different sauces are mind boggling and the shrimp tostada was out of this world. A BBQ marrow bone to die for and the Tacos and Tortillas were perfecto🚀 I went with a friend that did the IRONMAN today and it was his second time there in 2 days and he wants to eat there again tonight. Great service from the bartenders and the wait staff and a beautiful young guitarist and vocals at the doorway highlighting the whole place with some lovely background music. A great place to take a group or go casually as a couple and there’s an outdoor bar, that you could enjoy yourself as a single. I would get there early because it is really, really awesome🇨🇦🙏🇲🇽

A great little bar/restaurant. Great staff, very local, LOVE IT!!!! The food is exceptional. The Tuna Carnitas were beyond yummy! Roasted onions & peppers, perfectly grilled tuna, three types of sauces, low, medium & hot, and back to the tremendous staff. Did I mention the fabulous music they play, it’s great!

El Rincón de Addy is a charming breakfast spot located on a tranquil street, just a short walk from the town center. Originally situated in a plant nursery, it has now found its home on Calle Miguel Hidalgo. The restaurant offers a delightful array of flavors, including fresh juices, house-baked cakes, seasonal fruits, egg plates, and their renowned signature silver dollar hotcakes. The beautiful garden setting is adorned with plants and flowers that create a cozy atmosphere.
What a breathtaking discovery we stumbled upon on Google! We feel truly blessed to have stopped here for breakfast. Addy's kindness and warmth radiated throughout our experience. The food was a masterpiece, crafted with love and care. This enchanting restaurant is nestled in Addy's backyard garden, making every bite feel like a treasure. Although the food was made to order, the brief wait only added to our anticipation.

Addy’s restaurant is a hidden gem. We were warmly welcomed and served. The breakfast was excellent (and very affordable). On top of that, the garden where you sit while eating is beautiful. We even saw a hummingbird during our meal – wow. Many thanks for the warm service and the delicious food, it’s definitely worth the trip.

My husband and I had breakfast here. The service and food was excellent! I also had a fresh juice from beets and green juice. So good! Highly recommend. Price was great, too!
Jessica T — Google review
This breakfast restaurant needs more recognition. The food tasted homemade and the service was incredibly friendly. First time trying huevos rancheros and I think this place did it justice. Although I might be biased here because it was my first time! The mini hot cakes is what sold me on coming here and as a Canadian, the maple syrup was perfect. This is the first place since being in Mexico where they served maple syrup instead of honey with my hot cakes. All around the place felt very authentic and the food was very homey. The prices were fair and a lot cheaper than any other breakfast places I’ve been to. My partner and I enjoyed ourselves and plan to be back again for breakfast.

Absolutely unreal little brunch spot. We came here on a whim, and ultimately spent the whole meal raving to each other about how much we were enjoying it. The garden patio is beautiful and tranquil, the service is SO quick, so friendly, and it’s clearly a well loved family business. Speaking of well loved, every dish is so very clearly prepared with love (both figuratively and literally), and tastes fresh and delicious to boot. Can’t recommend enough, and will definitely be coming back.
Julia R — Google review
We had the most incredible breakfast and smoothies here in a quiet, beautiful courtyard respite a short walk from the pier in Cozumel. The hospitality was wonderful, the food and smoothies were delicious, and Addy's art is beautiful and makes the whole serene outdoor area shine. If you're making your way to Cozumel, take the time to get away from the crowded tourist traps and make your way here - you won't regret it!

5 stars for this lovely place ! Beautiful garden, very romantic. Nice outdoor seating. Breakfast until 2 pm. Food is amazing. Very friendly service and absolute fair pricing. I like the fresh fruit juices and the tasty coffee. Eggs, Hot Cakes, Veggie-Sandwiches, Omelettes and Huevos Motuleños ! The owner Addy and her daughter are doing a great Job !

Serene oasis to have a delicious breakfast or juice. Addy is a very gracious host and checks in on all her guests. Only note would be to sit under the roof or awnings so you don’t get a “surprise” from the iguanas above.

These folks and their place made our vacation on island 100% better! We liked every meal, my favorite one was Big Mike burger (they add on a side awesome salads). Even my husband who’s omnivorous, he liked EVERYTHING so much. Sushi portions are large, perfect rice and combinations of sauces made them gorgeously delicious 🤤 Frozen desserts are ideal for surviving in hot weather, if you’re craving for sweet. Potato soup… delicious! I don’t have photos from every meal, because I could not wait to eat ;))) Atmosphere is pleasant, friendly service. They have some board games and taro cards, so you may have fun while waiting for the order. These guys care about quality of ingredients, so you never see rotten greens or cheap oils, live elsewhere on island. Location is right in the heart of downtown, so we were keep coming even when changed hotels. I highly recommend this place, doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not. Thank you guys and all your team for doing your job that good! ❤️

Awesome speak easy. Came here w a friend. Went down these tight, steep stairs to meter the speak easy through a soda dispenser door 🚪. People were dancing w the DJ. Then we went through another door into the back room which had a bar. We chilled. Had a drink. Then went back to the DJ room and danced for hours. Great vibe. Friendly people. Small. Great place for breakfast or lunch. We went at noon and I had huevos rancheros and wife had the vegan version with mushrooms and onions. Excellent sauces and friendly staff. The owner Renee was present and very nice. Very focused on providing great food and service. Go give it a try!!!

Nice breakfast place that was close to our hostel. They have Mexican breakfast dishes along with some western options. The location is central. I love eggs Benedict and the ones I ordered were fine just the onions on top were somewhat too tangy for my taste!

A good breakfast option in the area. Staff is friendly and spoke English and is accommodating (lactose-intolerant, vegetarian/vegan, etc.). We went quite early so we never had to wait much.

Paradise Vegan is a delightful vegan eatery nestled in Cozumel, conveniently located near the bustling Mercado Municipal. This charming spot offers simple yet delicious dishes at wallet-friendly prices, making it an ideal choice for both locals and travelers alike. Many visitors have stumbled upon this hidden gem while exploring the area, often expressing surprise at its cozy garage-like setting.
I honestly never knew this place existed, and I drive by frequently! My friends and I walked past, and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the burger made out of oatmeal and the hot dogs made from chick peas. The bun that came with the burger was huge for the small patty. It tasted good, but probably won't order it again. The "hot dogs" were pretty tasty, but mushy. They come dressed with ketchup, ranch dressing (?), mustard, and artificial bacon bits. Great prices, and I'd like to go back to try other items

Nestled on the beautiful island of Cozumel, Iberostar Waves Cozumel is a fantastic all-inclusive resort offering a mix of rustic and modern vibes. The eco-friendly property features unique bungalow suites surrounded by lush nature, making it an ideal choice for families and diving enthusiasts. With its own dive center and access to a stunning private beach, guests can enjoy endless marine life exploration and various water sports.
Amazing Experience! Our first stay at this hotel was wonderful — cozy atmosphere, lush jungle surroundings, and a beautiful clean beach. We came for scuba diving but also loved the yoga, pilates, and aqua fitness classes with Manolo, who is an incredible, professional instructor. The food was delicious, no dinner-reservation hassle, and even our group of seven always had a table. Friendly staff, fun entertainment, and great vibes all around. Can’t wait to come back! One suggestion: bring a mosquito repellent😉
Natalia G — Google review
I love coming to Iberostar to go diving in Cozumel. They have dressel dive shop on site, and it’s a 10 minute boat ride to most of the dive sites, so we can do our surface interval at the resort. The resort grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. It is in a jungle, so there were a lot of mosquitoes and other little bugs. The hotel provided bug cream for us in our rooms, which was a nice perk! The food is good. The buffet is varied, and we had options to go to restaurants on site as well. I enjoy the activities that they put on every day. Azael and his team put on great shows every evening. Manolo led great yoga classes right on the beach. Overall, this is a great resort. It’s nothing too fancy, which keeps it in budget. This was my third trip there within a year, and I plan to come back for more.

Iberostar was a perfect resort for a week of fun and sun!! It had amazing pools, beaches, views, drinks and wildlife!! Highly recommend going snorkeling!! We also hung out by the pool with the amazing entertainment crew. Gerardo and his team were so fun and friendly. Always making sure we were having a good time. We did bingo, dancing, watched singers/dancers and even an obstacle course!! All staff was so friendly and welcoming!! Highly recommend this resort.

I had an amazing stay at Iberostar Cozumel! My absolute favorite part was the staff — everyone was so friendly, accommodating, and full of positive energy. The performers and activity coordinators made every day so much fun. Big shoutout to Judy, Betty, Gerry, and Azael — you were all hilarious and kept the vibe so lively! Also, special mention to Gasper, one of the servers, who was always a friendly face and worked so hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. The activities and shows each day were a highlight and made the trip even more memorable. Thank you, Iberostar Cozumel team, for such a great experience — I can’t wait to come back!
Anahi H — Google review
This was my third time visiting Cozumel. I have previously stayed at the Grand Park Royal and the Melia, and I chose this hotel because I had a great experience at Iberostar Paraíso Lindo during my stay in November 2024. Unfortunately, Iberostar Waves Cozumel did not live up to that same standard. The location is quite far from the ferry dock, stores, and restaurants, which is not the hotel’s fault, but it is worth noting that you will need transportation for anything off site. Check in was quick and straightforward. I specifically told the receptionist that what mattered most to me was having a good, working air conditioner. We were in our room within 20 minutes. That is when the problems began. The room smelled of mildew and mold, the beds felt damp, and the air conditioning was not cooling properly, only the fan was running. I called the front desk and housekeeping came but could not help. Then maintenance arrived and suggested spraying the room with Lysol, which I declined. After waiting about 30 minutes with no resolution, I called again and requested a new room. About 30 minutes later, we were shown two options. One was slightly better and the other was worse. We chose the better one, but the entire process took about an hour and a half and could have been avoided with a quicker reassignment. The rooms are clean but dated, with basic furnishings and minimal upgrades. The grounds are well maintained and pretty, but the mosquitoes are unbearable, especially in the evening. To make matters worse, the buffet and some restaurants have no air conditioning and are open air, so you end up sweating through meals while being bitten by mosquitoes. It honestly felt more like camping than relaxing. The beach area is scenic, with rocky shallows and reef structures that make for enjoyable snorkeling. I personally prefer swimming and snorkeling over lounging, so that was a highlight. The pool is nice but lacks shade. Overall, the grounds, beach, and pool are nice, but the lack of air conditioning in dining areas, combined with the mosquito problem and dated rooms, made this an uncomfortable stay. Sadly, I would not return to this property.

Our stay at Iberostar Cozumel was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and the service exceeded all expectations. The resort’s atmosphere, food, and accommodations were all fantastic. I want to make a special shout-out to Judith de la Cruz, who was part of the resort’s activities team. Judith was incredible—she made every day fun and engaging! I joined in on beach volleyball (and even won a prize!), a guacamole cooking competition, and several pool games. She kept the energy high and made sure everyone was having a great time. The scuba diving with Dressel Divers was also spectacular. The coral reefs were breathtaking, the marine life was vibrant, and the dive masters were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Overall, our experience at Iberostar Cozumel was outstanding. We left with unforgettable memories and can’t wait to come back soon!
Brett D — Google review
I had a wonderful stay in a room with a beautiful pool view. The room was clean and absolutely perfect for our visit. We were celebrating my birthday, and it was our first time in Cozumel — what an incredible experience! From the beginning, everything went smoothly. Check-in was fast and efficient, and Enrique was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great, with many delicious options to choose from. We also noticed several staff members who truly stood out for their exceptional service: Emily, Judith (who I believe was a Captain), and Adriana, the host at the Japanese restaurant. Juaquin was always friendly and provided outstanding service, and Angel at the buffet was also fantastic. One of our favorite parts of the trip was the activities with the animation team. We had so much fun painting bags and making bracelets — it was such a memorable moment thanks to Rosa, Sol, and Ismael. We can’t wait to come back and see them again!

Iberostar is amazing! Easy access to the dive dock, beach, and so many amenities! The different food options has been great for our group (vegan and gluten free clearly labeled). Manolo (the fitness trainer on site) has the BEST yoga and pilates sessions, making everyone comfortable and relaxed! I highly recommend this spot!

Nestled in an oceanfront location on the beautiful island of Cozumel, Cozumel Palace All Inclusive Resort offers a laid-back and upscale experience. The resort features spacious suites with double spa baths and boasts four restaurants serving delicious meals. Guests can enjoy family-friendly activities, relaxing spa treatments, and theme parties. The property also includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, several bars for evening cocktails, and an outdoor pool.
This our first time staying in Palace Resorts and we Absolutely Love it! The food is Phenomenal!!! The service is Excellent and the rooms are Luxurious! The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and I'm the kinda person that is very picky about my bed and pillows. The people definitely make you feel like you are the most important person there and the room service is on point (for anything). The shower was amazing, hot water and water pressure. I can't say enough good things about the place. I am soo grateful that we were blessed to be introduced to this place. Thank you to Everyone and we will be back!

What a beautiful place to stay😍😍 plenty of things to do and everyone there was so friendly. Food and drinks were amazing, fun activities for friends and family, live entertainment events every night!!!! I’d like to personally shout out a few staff members who went above and beyond to care for us during our stay. First is William, he was the first one to greet us upon arriving with such kindness and warm welcome, he helped us out planning activities to do and was always there for us when we had any questions. Then there was Luis who was our fitness instructor for the week! He is so incredibly kind and did an awesome job coaching us through the classes (core and cross fit classes!) Then there is Miguel at the all you can eat buffet, he was on his game! He always had a smile on his face and incredibly helpful to provide us with anything that we needed. Finally, Giovanni, at the open bar was so amazing and made the best Mexican candy shots! I’ll definitely be telling many people about my stay and I recommend anyone to go to Cozumel Palace!!! Viva Mexico 🇲🇽

If you are looking for a fabulous dive hotel, this is the one. Very close to the airport, as well as all the mid and southern reefs. Many dive companies pick up on the pier at the hotel. The culinary experience was wonderful, and the service was great at all of the restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Mexican themed restaurant. Very close to downtown (within walking distance) and felt very safe around the area. Our room was spacious. We had one issue with the shower and it was fixed immediately. The entertainment was a cherry - some of it was actually pretty good for not really expecting to be entertained. The pools were fairly quiet and for the all inclusive part, they did not skimp. Not really a beach, and somewhat turbulent water to swim in, but a great viewing area that you can see across to the mainland. Did not have any bad service whatsoever. I can't remember all the names to give shout outs to, but I remember that Luis in the workout area was very nice and a good representative of the type of customer service that they provided. The only negative is that they pressure a little at the end to sign up with them for your next vacation. It actually looked like a pretty good deal, but just felt a tad pushy. We would definitely go back and recommend.

We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts in the greater Quintana Roo area, but our one night stay at palace was our favorite. They have a fantastic team here. Shout out to Luis, Dora, Oswald, Duran, Jose, and the team for making our stay extra special. They had a great free snorkel rental and some of their dishes we tried were what memories are made of. This was our first time ever staying at a palace resort, and we can say for sure that Palace Cozumel is a must if you are in the area! The team here went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and our hearts overflowed with joy as a result. And their in-room tubs? Luxurious!

We came here for a day from the ferry. Since we were staying at Playacar Palace the gave us a complementary room. However it was only for an hour from 5 pm to 6 pm. The service is good but the nearby coral reef seems dangerous. There are warnings about fire coral and not to stray from the buoy lines. The waves are also really big. Otherwise I recommend going to Flamingos. The kebabs are delicious although a little too salty. Every other thing was perfect.
Fleur T — Google review
It is much smaller than some of the other properties in this chain. However the food, and service more than makes up for it. There were daily activities in the pool area for kids and adults alike. We were a group of three families and all of us thoroughly enjoyed. Everything is close by, but honestly you don’t even need to leave the property.

One of our favorite vacays so far. The water is absolutely beautiful right off the resort, Great for snorkeling or scuba diving. Food, service and ambiance, amazing as always with all the Moon Palaces we've been to.

Miss DELEITES is a charming restaurant that offers freshly made food using only in-season and authentic ingredients. The owner is known for being extremely friendly, offering a complimentary 'chip and dip' sampler with a range of spiciness levels. Visitors have praised the welcoming atmosphere, with the staff making them feel like part of the family. The restaurant caters to both vegan and meat-eating diners, providing delicious options for everyone.
I had an incredible dining experience here! And then many more 😊 Every dish I tried was absolutely delicious—tacos, burritos, arranchera (beef), and camarones (shrimp) were all bursting with flavor. The quality and care in the food were undeniable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were so warm and welcoming that I felt more like part of their family than just a guest. Their hospitality is unmatched, making the overall experience even more special. While the food takes a little longer to arrive, it’s well worth the wait because everything is freshly made from scratch. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and heartfelt service, this is it!

Simply excellent. We had two wonderful nights at Miss DELEITES and felt at home from the very first second. There are lots of vegan and gluten-free options and great daily specials packed with vegetables - Ody is happy to take the time to advise and chat with you. You will immediately notice how much love and creativity she and her team put into all the dishes. Be sure to ask for the banana ice cream for dessert ;-) If our trip goes to Cozumel again, we will definitely be back!

Great vegan options. Eggplant enchilada and lentil burger were good. The guacamole was exceptional and the vegan lasagna we had at our 3rd time eating here is creative and delicious: uses plantains instead of pasta with eggplant, mushrooms, spinach with an almond based cheese on top with a hint of cinnamon and clove. We had the lasagna for our Thanksgiving dinner and it was perfect 👌

Best food we had all week in Cozumel. Homemade, fresh and delicious! Plenty of vegan options. Their vegan lasagna was amazing. Very friendly service! The owners truly care about making you feel taken care of.

Excellent food and incredible service! We stopped by for an afternoon meal and ordered the alambre chilango which we had never tried before. The meal tasted phenomenal. The owners were so friendly and courteous; they made us feel like family enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal. Thank you so much; we can't wait to return!

Hands down one of our favourite restaurants we’ve been to ever! It felt like we entered a locals living room delivered with the BEST service you could ever have. The food was customized exactly to our liking and we had no difficulty with being plant based. We all got a vegan/vegetarian rice and quinoa bowl. Basically told him “surprise us” and they delivered! The food was perfectly seasoned and flavours were popping 😄🤘🏼 Owned by an amazing couple that cares about other people! Such a rare find and we are so sad to leave Cozumel while not being able to come here another time! 🙉 We will be back! With love 💕

VEGAN BARRIO is a hidden gem in Cozumel, Mexico, offering a variety of vegan spins on traditional Mexican dishes. The menu features mouthwatering options like tacos dorados, empanadas, steak sopes, and vegan quesadillas served with a fresh salad. Despite its unassuming location tucked between other buildings, the restaurant stands out with its vibrant murals and friendly service from the family-run business.
What a great find, tucked into a little alley with a handful of other food stands, this place had great atmosphere, wonderful service, but most importantly, INCREDIBLY GOOD FOOD!!! We had the Gringa de Pastor which was so good, and a huge portion. We also had the tacos de canasta (we tried all 4 kinds) and the BEST deep fried cauliflower that we've ever had (made with fresh cauliflower, cut and battered by hand!) Don't leave Cozumel without getting here!
Adam H — Google review
What a cool little gem in Cozumel. Vegan Barrio has this laid-back, open-air setup that feels like you’re hanging out at a backyard barbecue, with better food and no one asking you to bring potato salad. It’s basically a shared space with around five different restaurants and a bar, so everyone can order whatever they want and still sit together. Plastic tables and chairs, but everything was clean and casual in the best way. I love these kinds of open-concept restaurant spots. easy, relaxed, and a win for mixed groups or indecisive eaters. Was so good the first time I had to come back for more.

This is a tiny food court style place with Truly Amazing Vegan Mexican Food!! The staff is amazing and they put a lot of love into the food (you can taste it)!! Everything is good (I have now tried the menu) but the Guacamole and Tacos Dorado should not be missed. Everything is reasonably priced. It is a little strange (at first) since you order drinks from the bar at the front (Vegan Barrio doesn't have drinks at this location) and you pay them separately.

What a cool spot with delicious food. I don’t need Vegan options but my wife loves the potato taquitos. Multiple food vendors and a little bar. We weee headed to sushi but stumbled in here. Loved it. Will return. 10/10.

The best vegan tacos we’ve had, in Mexico… actually, anywhere! The cauliflower was fried in the most delicious batter, and was so crispy. Vegan Bario is set in a lovely food court, set away from the hassle and bustle of Cozumel main strip. We are so happy we found this place, and will be back!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful vegan dining experience in Cozumel, look no further than Sol de Maple. This charming eatery, run by a warm local family, offers an impressive menu that showcases their passion for plant-based cuisine. From saucy enchiladas to crispy mozzarella sticks and flavorful tacos baja, every dish is crafted with care. The generous portions ensure you leave satisfied, while the vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment of your meal.
Wonderful meal and service at Sol de Maple! Wish we'd had time for another visit before leaving the island. Everything was delicious and fresh, and a nice break from heavier dishes. We had the nachos and jalapeno bites, and the chickpea omelette and the smoked burrito. And the PINEAPPLE CAKE. So so good, and so many other dishes I'd love to try. Would definitely go here again on another visit to Cozumel.

Highly recommend this vegan restaurant!! We were staying in playa del Carmen and still managed to be repeat customers here because the food was so good. The second visit here we came from an all inclusive day resort and this food was soooo much better. Jonatan was there during both of our visits, and his recommendations were fantastic. We got the nachos both times (a must - and I make vegan nachos at home frequently), the smoked filet burrito, chickpea omelette and the Mexican pizza. All were exceptional; great flavor, enough toppings and very different from other vegan foods we’ve gotten. If you’re in Cozumel you gotta try this spot and hopefully see Jonatan!!

I loved this place so much that I went twice in one day. The portions are generous, and even the vegetables served with the fillet are full of flavor. The shakes are a must-try. For dinner, I ordered the buffalo pizza and cheese sticks to go — the cauliflower buffalo wings were absolutely delicious, and the cheese sticks tasted great even after they cooled down. The chef and staff are very friendly, which made the experience even better. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Adorable little restaurant with a nice patio and tasty Vegan treats. The owner was a super friendly guy and the food was ready quickly and tasted awesome. We had the Jalapeno bites and the Cheese Quesadilla to start and then split the Enchiladas verdes, with rice and beans. Everything was delicious and we topped it off with a spectacular Pineapple and coconut cake slice for dessert. Highly recommend this place! Super reasonable prices too!

We came here twice during our trip to Cozumel since we enjoyed the food so much! Really laid back vibe and fully vegan menu which was incredible, right down to the desserts. We ordered tacos and a burrito our first night, and two burritos and a quesadilla the next visit. We also tried their vegan snickers milkshake both times which was honestly one of the best vegan milkshakes we’ve ever tried. It’s a small, family run restaurant and the food is all freshly made and the service is casual so you’ll want to devote some time here. We never felt rushed out, merely needed to ask for our check when we were ready to pay. We would absolutely be back again next time we’re on the island, highly recommend!!

Absolutely incredible vegan food, great for vegan and non-vegan! All the reviews I read pointed me here and it did not disappoint. Ordered the recommended cheese sticks, jalapeño bites, Mexican pizza and both a snickers and strawberry milkshake. Ended up ordering another snickers milkshake to go! Anytime we cruise to Cozumel this will absolutely be a must-stop!

I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Allegro Cozumel is an upscale, all-inclusive beach resort that caters to families and diving enthusiasts. Situated on Playa San Francisco, the resort provides easy access to the vibrant Palancar Reef, offering a diverse marine life experience. The property features five restaurants serving various cuisines, along with multiple pools including a children's water park and sea-facing hot tubs for parents. Additionally, guests can enjoy spa services and partake in activities such as sports facilities.
Great place to chill. We went during rainy season and beach was clean. Great staff. A la carte asian dinner was amazing experience. Beach is perfect. Water sports fun. Drinks were really good. Food was good and always available. The only thing is the entertainment is a bit lacking especially during the week after 7pm there is nothing to do, disco is mostly for older people like karaoke etc, no cool shows. Front desk could move a bit faster we had to wait long time everytime.
Mariusz M — Google review
The food and beach were amazing. The beach was one of the largest compared to other resorts. The rooms were surprisingly very sound proof and sleep was great as well. Service was very attentive, especially from the entertainment team. They all looked like they enjoyed what they do. The only thing that could improve would be the presence of the DJ in the discotheque. It was a great experience overall.
Eric C — Google review
During our six-day stay, housekeeping skipped our room on one of the days, which was disappointing, as daily cleaning is a basic service expected at a hotel of this level. As for the food, the buffet does not offer a wide variety of options, but the dishes available were flavorful and of acceptable quality, including the drinks. While the selection could be expanded, what is offered meets a reasonable standard. The beach location is excellent, with easy and convenient access both from the rooms and other common areas. It was very comfortable to enjoy the beach without long walks or logistical challenges. It’s worth mentioning that as national tourists, we have noticed on past visits a difference in the level of service between international and local guests. However, this time we did feel welcomed and treated warmly, which we truly appreciate. That said, there is still a noticeable preference in attention and service for international visitors. The nightly entertainment has improved and now feels more varied and enjoyable. However, the instructions and hosting in English are quite limited, and we recommend hiring staff with stronger English-language skills, especially considering the large number of international guests. In summary, the hotel provides a good overall experience, with strengths in food flavor, location, and accessibility. Still, it has key areas to work on, particularly daily room maintenance and ensuring equal, high-quality service for all guests, regardless of their origin.
Lillie M — Google review
Lovely hotel, in a stunning location with a beautiful beach and grounds. Rooms are a little dated, but are fine. AC is great, beds are comfy and everything is spotless. Food is OK. Breakfast is good, pool snack bar is convenient and always has something good on offer. Evening buffet is a little plain, but there's always something to eat. Mexican and Oriental restaurants are really good. If you are a diver, Pro Diver is on site, and run a great operation. But most of all, the staff at the resort are outstanding. They are genuine and friendly, and really care about giving top service. For the price, this resort can't be beaten.
Rob F — Google review
You get what you pay for here - First, the good: 1. Excellent air conditioning 2. Rooms were comfortable and clean 3. Resort is handicapped accessible and wheelchair friendly 4. Pools, bars, beach are all as advertised. Beach in particular was clean with beautiful clear water and easy to access Could improve on: 1. Check in experience - took almost three hours to get our group of eight checked in 2. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They weren't outright rude but it was clear they did not care much about our comfort or helping us to solve problems 3. Food - pretty bad. The restaurants with reservations were booked up on 3 out of our 4 nights, which is disappointing because the one time we ate there it was much better than the buffet.
Katheryn H — Google review
We decided to try a new resort and we were very disappointed in Allegro. Food was cold every time we ate. The staff was not attentive. The walk from the front of the resort to our room was literally a football field in a half. However the beach was amazing. We've been home since the 12th and yesterday my debit card was charged $150 from the car rental place there at the resort. We called and spoke to someone and they told us to call the car rental place and now nobody will answer the phones. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

Absolutely incredible stay all around. This resort had everything we could have wanted to make our trip an amazing experience. Mary-Ann at the kids club is an all star. She is kind and patient and so friendly. My kids (5 and 9) loved the range of fun activities. One tip for those with small kids - request a room further from the nightly entertainment, which can be quite loud if your kids go down early. Additionally, JD, Diego and David were excellent and the life of the party. They were such fun MCs and always had such a great vibe. They clearly love what they do and they make sure everyone has a blast. Please just tell them to practice their beach volleyball more so they’re ready for me next time. For scuba divers, this place is paradise with incredible reef just minutes away. Highly recommend Scuba Tony for serious divers, who will pick you up right from the pier. Overall, absolutely incredible stay - we will be back.

Nestled in a picturesque seaside setting just outside San Miguel, Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive offers a contemporary all-inclusive experience with top-notch service. The hotel features a private beach club with soft sands and crystal-clear waters surrounded by tropical palm trees. With just 102 rooms, the resort provides stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and lush jungle.
Highly recommend! The waitress Kiera Valdez is extremely nice. I especially liked her. Everyone there did more than their job, I really appreciated the extra help they offered and going out of their way to teach Spanish.

Stayed four nights. Very clean resort. Rooms were comfortable. Service was fantastic. Spa & Gym were excellent. Food & drinks were awful. It baffles me at an all inclusive in Mexico it's impossible to find simple tacos & guacamole for lunch on the beach. Blaring music at the pool all day and night - some points completely missed the mark.
Kelly B — Google review
The property is clean. It is dated. Needs a remodel. The rooms are huge. Basically two bedrooms. Two full baths. The service was good. The reason I gave it three stars is because it’s an all inclusive, and I went to the bar at 9:30 by the pool, not in the pool but by the pool and wanted to get a mimosa. Seems normal champagne and orange juice. Bar doesn’t open until noon. So that’s why they got three stars. The location was gorgeous. Not a great beach there but easy to get in the waterwith the stairs and such.

American Airlines put me up there two weeks back after a big delay in my outgoing flight. Great looking hotel. Room service pizza was really awful. I think they should remove from menu. Like eating a microwave Celeste personal pizza, best. I also could not get hot or even warm shower water. Love to consider this hotel for future, but the cold water issue is a show stopper.
Ron P — Google review
We just spent 5 nights at the Fiesta Americana Cozumel and were ultimately not impressed, especially when compared to other all inclusive resorts we’ve stayed in. We expected a 4 star hotel experience and what we got was not that. As soon as we checked in the employees were trying to sell a timeshare presentation to us. They kept bothering us a couple days about it, which really put a damper on the start of our trip and cheapened the experience. Our room was supposed to be ready at 3, and when we went to check in we were told to give them 15 minutes and it’ll be ready. That wasn’t very comforting - it felt like somebody was just going to clean up in 15 minutes. When we got to the room there was trash not picked up. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool. The plunge pool was very nice, however the room was not so nice. The showers had horrible water pressure and you can’t use both showers at once or else one will have cold water only. There were broken tiles in the shower and the shower door would get stuck. Also, you couldn’t close one of the bathroom doors all the way. The room was always very humid and everything felt damp. However, the A/C did work well. It just isn’t a room you’d expect at a 4 star hotel. We also didn’t get housekeeping one day and had to request it. The room also smelled not great. The beds are firm. The pool and over water lounges were really nice. The pool has had the broken tile issue fixed, for anyone reading through reviews and wondering. The food is not very good here, and there aren’t many options. The buffet is small and only offered for breakfast and lunch. They advertise multiple restaurants for dinner but they rotate them so there are 2 restaurants each night and they are all in the same space that looks like a hallway and is way too warm. You have to make a reservation or else you have to get room service for dinner. All of the employees are extremely kind, and the nightly entertainment was good. Other than the nightly entertainment though there is not much to do other than sunbathe/swim. Bars don’t open until 11, and they close at 10:30. If you do stay here and want to go on a snorkeling excursion, I recommend the money bar snorkeling tour as it is just an 8 minute walk from the hotel. It was great! Overall, we’re giving it 2 stars because the staff, the main pool, the plunge pool, and the shows. Otherwise it’d be a 1. I recommend staying elsewhere, unfortunately. It’s just not worth the money we spent on it.
Elly E — Google review
Our stay went very well. We stayed for 6 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife told me to give 3.5 stars, and I give it a 3.8 out of 5. The only reason we are not giving it 5 stars is because the food is not that great. For example, the ribeye steak from El Mexicano was the worst I've ever had. My friend got sick from it, and I ate one bite and immediately spit it in a napkin. The tacos from the El Mexicano restaurant were really good, though. The pizza from the Italian restaurant is not very good and the breakfast had a lot of options but wasn't great. There was bacon around less than a quarter of the time, but they do have a lot of fresh fruit and juices. No alcohol is served until 11 am. I recommend getting coffee from the gameroom area by the large pool because it's made from a nice cappuccino machine, and you can also get a quick ham sandwich from there as well. We did pay for a nice steak and lobster dinner that was really good. Our room was actually pretty nice and was cleaned well every day. A huge plus to me was that the snorkeling directly in front of the resort was even better than I thought it would be! Great staff and gorgeous views. Arturo was my favorite staff member due to being very friendly and accommodating. Overall, the price was very reasonable for the accommodations provided. 🏖

Water was leaking from ceiling when it rained. Water flow from shower was so slow. There was a huge ant infestation that was present throughout our entire stay. The first day wee were given pastries as a gift upon our first arrival, and was surrounded entirely by ants everywhere in large quantities. We immediately called room service to put a stop to it, and we were given a can of bug spray that was almost empty. The days after we had ants all over the floors at random places in time. They were from the floor, to behind the bed frame, or sink. It was uncomfortable knowing that each time I set foot in the room, ants could be near or on you when you're sleeping. It ruined the enjoyment of the rooms. This is beyond disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE. It needs to be addressed immediately so other guests do not have this type of problem.

We loved our experience at Fiesta Americana. There were 5 of us, a couple at 50, a 16 and 15 year old, as well as a 79 year old abuela. Everyone has their own space and full restroom, and tv. The food was delicious and we throughly enjoyed the entertainment. Thank you for the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever enjoyed.

Resort hotel
Scuba Club is a laid-back hotel located right by the sea, featuring an outdoor pool, two restaurants, and a dive center. It's an ideal choice for divers due to its on-site dive services, spacious rinse tanks and drying areas for scuba gear, and a convenient dock for boarding boats. The hotel also offers waterfront pool facilities perfect for refreshing after diving adventures. Guests with dietary preferences are well-catered to here, as the staff is accommodating and can prepare special meals upon request.
Great place for scuba diving. They serve breakfast and lunch, and the staff are all great. If you are coming to scuba dive this is the place. If you’re not coming for scuba diving this isn’t the place. There’s a small pool, and a small selection of drinks. Definitely the best dive vacation! Dive masters are knowledgeable, and we got to see some amazing reefs! Also did the wreck dive! Oh! And unlimited shore diving for guests. You can just walk up and grab a tank and dive right off the resort.
Jacob S — Google review
Not an all inclusive by any means. They did have breakfast which was okay and lunch that was just so-so. They charge you for everything you want to drink except water. There is a store down the road and it is safe to walk there or anywhere for that matter. Good folks....just a bit expensive for what you get. If you are there to dive, it's a good place and they have boats and dive masters right there for you. Just not a luxury location by any means.

This was an amazing resort. Very clean and staff is helpful and prompt. Food was good. Dive shop and boat dives were well organized and the dive guides are knowledgeable. Traveled with a group of 21 ranging from novice to very seasoned divers and everything was very well organized throughout for all of us. Thank you to the resort staff, dive shop staff, boat captain and dive guides for an excellent trip and experience.

We loved the place. The place is not fancy, but everything is clean. The personnel is awesome. The dive shop has what you need, and they will always help if needed. We had 5 great days of boat and shore diving. Night diving from the shore was always an adventure of photography opportunities. We will be back. Thank you Scuba Club

Had an awesome time here on a group trip with coworkers. The service was immaculate and the view from my room was gorgeous. I can't speak on the diving as I am not certified, but my friends all said that it was awesome (they really loved the shipwreck dive). 100% would recommend this place, each room was unique and the ambiance was great!

For a diving resort it was great. The front desk will go out of their way to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. This is not a resort for those looking for lavish. The food was good not excellent with plenty of choices, daily specials, and good portions. We did dinners in town trying out various local spots for authentic local food and experiences. The diving was well run and they provided everything you will need. We brought our own gear and were thankful for the fresh water tanks to rinse after the dives. Lots of amazing dive sights. We had a great time!

We stayed here for Scuba diving multiple times. Relaxed atmosphere, great staff that care, some have been here over 30 years. If you want great diving with a trusted operation, look no further.
Geoff S — Google review
Stayed here because it has great reviews but our group experience was not that great. Pros: great food, nice rooms, great view, Daniel is a good divemaster, the resort itself is laid out nicely Cons: large and slow cattle boats with lots of people on them (16 on ours) - takes about an hour to get to the dive sites No food type snacks given between dives - only water and mango juice A couple of the guys at the dive shop are RUDE when you ask general questions and one literally rolls his eyes when you bother him (they don’t work for tips) and they chase you down and make you pay UP FRONT for extra boat dives instead of at the end of the week. On site Restaurant closes at 5 so if you miss that the closest restaurant or store is 1/2 mile away The shore diving is not very good- there’s only a few man made reef objects out there Our WiFi didn’t work very well most of the time- we had to go down to the restaurant area to get a good signal Overall- it’s okay but won’t stay there again. The overall vibe around there is not very friendly or welcoming. It almost feels like the staff is sick of dealing with us stupid tourists.

Hotel
Kinta Kan Hotel Boutique Cozumel is a laid-back accommodation with modest rooms and a charming garden featuring an outdoor pool and hammocks. The hotel boasts an innovative chef, Kris Wallenta, who crafts unique flavors by blending spices, cheeses, and other ingredients in the ever-changing menu. Despite being booked last minute, guests were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception from the staff and appreciated the opportunity to use the shared kitchen for quick meals.
Great little place for the price. Rooms were clean and pool is small but nice. Was quiet while we were there but I could easily see it being loud if people were up playing in the pool. Communal kitchen is decent, more than we were expecting. Location is about 10 min from the Maine part of town. Amazing tacos around the corner at Ruta25 and a convenience store a block and a half away.

The hotel served its purpose but is definitely not a 4-star experience. I’d rate it somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. We booked this hotel last minute after my daughter got motion sickness from the ferry ride and needed a place to recover. Instead of using Priceline, we opted to book directly with the hotel since there was no price difference. The front desk staff didn’t speak English, so we used Google Translate to communicate. Despite the language barrier, the receptionist was kind enough to give us a tour of the room before we confirmed the booking. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist area near the port. While the distance didn’t bother us during the day, walking around at night felt a bit unsettling as the streets were quiet and empty. The property itself is old and in need of updates. The air conditioner in our two-bedroom unit leaked water onto one of the beds, and there was a faint sewage smell in the room. The kitchenette was a nice touch, but there was no dishwashing soap provided, so I recommend washing any dishes or utensils before use. The blanket was surprisingly thin—almost the same thickness as the bedsheets—and there was no microwave in the room, though one was available in the breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, we skipped the free continental option after seeing it. It consisted of some sandwich bread and cereal, served in the courtyard. The Wi-Fi signal was decent, though it had weak spots in certain areas. The pool was surprisingly deep, which the kids enjoyed, but it was the only real highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the property looked much older and less polished than it appeared in the photos. If budget is your top priority, this hotel might work, but keep in mind it’s a bit out of the way and very dated.

Let's start with the bad part. When we check out the lady came up with the towels and told us they are dirty and we have to pay extra for the laundry. Check the pictures, are they seriously dirty? Otherwise aren't they washing them or what? I was probably travelling for 4 years in total in my life and that hasn't happened to me before. Besides that, the rooms are clean, the pool is nice and the wifi works well. We had hot water and the water pressure was good. Also liked the breakfast - check the pictures. All in all I would say you get what you pay for.
Kristoffer S — Google review
Very bad experience. Poor service. Lazy staff. Breakfast is a big joke!! There is only a kitchen with coffee and fruit On check out the lady was checking if the towels were clean enough otherwise she would charge us for it. No cold water to drink. There are huge water tanks outside (so warm), but no machine, so you have to lift them and try and pour it into a glass or bottle, which is not so handy. Also only 4 tables for 10+ rooms. And very loud pool area till late, even that the pool should closed at 20h; at 22h there were still kids playing and screaming. Not recommended at all!!

I booked this hotel at 10:35pm on a Saturday night for that same night. We had an emergency that caused us to have to stay in Cozumel overnight unexpectedly (instead of returning to Playa). Since this was an extremely last minute booking my expectations were pretty low but I think this place would have exceeded expectations even in a normal situation. The woman at reception at 11pm was so kind and nice. She explained the room numbers are in the Mayan language. The continental breakfast was good (but coffee had clearly been sitting out). The pool is surrounded by hammocks and Acapulco chairs. The room was basic but considering you’ll want to spend most of your time outside in Cozumel, I think it’s a great option. Not luxurious by any means - and priced accordingly. Clean and nice staff. Will return!

Nice little hotel in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Mexican sweet breakfast with bread, sweets and different flakes and coffee. We used the kitchen to cook our own dinner. The rooms are fine for the price and the pool is very nice after a long sunny day. We preferred the king bed room because it was a bigger then the other double room.
Mir K — Google review
You cannot call this a boutique hotel. The rooms smell mouldy. Probably because the shower is not properly closed off from the rest of the bathroom. There is some bamboo with gaps in between so after a shower the whole bathroom is soaking. Although the recepcionist said we had continental breakfast, there is no breakfast, just some coffee and fruit. There is a tiny kitchen you can use but you have to buy everything yourself... And then also do the dishes! There are only 4 breakfast tables for 11 rooms. And they wanted to charge us extra because the towels we used for a couple of days were too dirty. We don't need new towels every day, better for the environment. But yeah, sometimes towels get dirty from people going to the beach and sweating. It is not like I took my make up off with it or cleaned my shoes. It is OK, but for sure not a boutique hotel

The room was nice, the breakfast too. However, they are not compliant if you need to change the dates and refund the excess. Cozumel was nice too, the location was not so far from the central place but there isn’t that much to do there. The price was expensive. ~130US$ for 2 nights…

Nutty Treesome - Cuisine Botanique is a plant-based and organic restaurant located in the heart of downtown Cozumel. The restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan snacks, smoothies, and meals from 5pm to 10pm, Wednesday through Sunday. The dishes are prepared with top-notch ingredients by a multicultural Mexican/Canadian chef trained in whole foods. Visitors praise the delicious taste, fresh and healthy options, as well as the welcoming environment.

An amazing atmosphere and equally amazing menu options! Vegan choices with delicious vegan desserts. The service is great and considerate, they even ask you if you have any food allergies. We love that they use metal straws. We’ve come back several times to eat here because we are always left satisfied and delighted.

If you are in Cozumel you have to go to Nutty Treesome Vegan Gourmet...What a treat this place is, small and quaint restaraunt, the decor was awesome, lot's of plants and painted budha on the wall. The owner seated us and when i asked for gluten free, he asked if i was celiac or was it a preference. The staff and owners are very friendly. I had the supreme being salad and my not celiac spouse had the sensei rolls...so fricken good. We came back the next day and had the sensai rolls (my fav) and the sumsara salad and tortilla chips, dessert we had ice cream sandwich and cheeky monkie pie. We are here for 2 more nights and I will be back. The owner lived in Montreal for 12 years and learned his tallent there. Reasonably priced food, the hours are Wed to Sat 5pm - 10 pm.

Nutty Treesome saved our wedding!! Our original venue had an issue and we had to pivot to a beach wedding with one week's notice, and we contacted the owner, Yonatan, to ask about catering the event. Yonatan and his team are miracle workers and came through for us with amazing tacos, his incredible tiramisu, and wonderful staff. They made their awesome signature cocktails for us with an in-house bartender, helped set up and break everything down before and after the event, and coordinated with our rental company. He even secured us audio equipment to play our music. We loved Nutty Treesome's food already, but Yonatan and Miranda and their team have changed our lives by helping us pull off the wedding of our dreams with little notice. We will forever be grateful to them and can't wait to come back when we return to Cozumel. This is the first vegan restaurant on the island and they really set a trend as many more have opened since! Vegans and vegetarians should be sure to visit to support this wonderful business - and be sure to try their house margaritas and out-of-this-world tiramisu. We love you guys!! 💚🥳💍

Looking for the vegetarian (99% Raw) restaurant with top notch, and top-of-the-line ingredients, and most of all top-of-the-line taste, then this is probably the best place to visit. The dishes are varied and tickles the palette in the most delectable ways. Healthy food, delicious taste and an environment that accentuates the experience of nourishment. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We had an extremely good dinner here. The smoothies were the best I've had in mexico so far. The hummus was great the sandwich was just stellar and the sushi roll was really good. It's made with love and care you can tell they are in for the whole experience of vegan food and lifestyle. I highly reccomend a visit to this little place it is a great find. A multicultural Mexican/Canadian Montréal Canada trained whole foods chef has opened a small diner with a big bite here. I will come again.
