The most important thing to say about the Laab is that they clearly care about food and that comes through in everything they serve. The ingredients are so fresh and flavourful. The dishes are creative and well executed. I have no critiques of the food and drink at all. We had: the mixed meat and cheese platter (all of which were delicious and a very enjoyed diversion from the typical fare in Cozumel), a mango-anchovy risotto that was so bright and lively, the carbonara (the best I’ve ever had. Their housemade pasta is excellent), and their chocolate cake (decadent in all the right ways but just shy of being too much). The drinks (red wine, mezcal, as gin cocktail) were all lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had anywhere - hands down. Their staff know and appreciate their food - and so they do their job well.

K'ooben Laab was recommended to us by multiple people before visiting Cozumel for our first time. By far the best place we've eaten on the island. Our server Joel was amazing and had the best recommendations for us. Everything truly is so fresh and the creators put so much care and time into each dish.

We were really impressed! It started with homemade cheese and tomato bread on the house..absolutely delicious! Then we had a great Bolognese. You can really feel the passion and love that goes into this place. Highly recommended!

This place kept popping up on lists of places to try in Cozumel and can confirm, it’s with good reason. The restaurant itself is slightly away from the main tourist drag-it has a cute rooftop area with creative takes on Italian staples. The focaccia and mussels with white wine were standouts-but the carbonara pasta and lasagna were both delicious. The service was excellent-they even offered to secure us a taxi when we clearly were too full for the walk back to our hotel. Definitely a must visit.

I had such an amazing time! I’ve been to Kooban Laab so many times, and it’s been my favourite restaurant for years. I love that they always give fresh focaccia to start the meal. The portion sizes feel small, but the pasta is so well made. Also, I’m always full by the end of the meal, so one plate is the perfect size. Today we had Joel as our waiter, and he was so nice! He suggested they’re special for the day was the ravioli and it was legit the best pasta I ever had.

Excellent restaurant, near the downtown square, great food & service, clean bathrooms. Not cheap, water is bottled and about $3.50 each, well worth the money for a nice meal. We had a large group, can't split bill so recommend one person just pays for it and have others reimburse.

This place is an absolute gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service was fast, professional, and consistent, making the entire experience even better. The pizza was incredible, perfectly baked, loaded with fresh, high quality ingredients, and full of flavor in every single bite. The pasta was just as amazing, cooked perfectly al dente with a rich, creamy, and well balanced sauce that was packed with flavor. And the lasagna was absolutely perfect. Layers of fresh pasta, rich sauce, melted cheese, and perfectly seasoned meat made it one of the best lasagnas we have ever had. We also tried a few other items and everything we ordered was outstanding. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was far beyond expectations. If you are looking for the best pizza, pasta, and lasagna in the area, this is the place to go. Whether you are local or visiting, you will not be disappointed. We could not be more satisfied and we will absolutely be coming back again and again.

Must stop here in Cozumel for us!!!! The pizza and baked break is insane cooked in a huge wood fired oven you can see when walking in! We come to Cozumel yearly and Guido's is always a spot we eat at once or twice while here in the island. If you love sangria this is some of the best I've ever had (not a wine drinker at all either) with freshly cut apples and other fruits in a large ceramic pitcher. Just outside is located the oceanfront view which has the most amazing sunsets on the island which I pictured for you. Ps Guido's is a little more upscale then your local taqueria so will be paying $80-100 for a nice meal for your family.

Amazing food. The staff are like family for the regulars that visit. I visit every time I’m on the island. The goats and green salad accompanied by the lasagna is a fav, of course that quickly changes depending on the daily specials. The house made sangria is always a good choice as you soak up the oasis type atmosphere in the back.

Guido's is one ofy great constants of the universe. This lovely little gem of a restaurant delivers great salads and seafood, and one of the most unique and yummy baked lasagnas anywhere. We go for the caprese salad, lasagna and their great home made sangria. Try it out and you're going to come back every time you come back to Cozumel.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I had the Mahi Mahi and it didn't disappoint. I also had a grilled shrimp appetizer that was delicious with garlic bread. Service and atmosphere outstanding.

Modest storefront, lovely and spacious interior. We sat out in the garden area. I had the sweet potato ravioli and the tossed green salad. Both were fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. There was lovely Italian music playing and not too loud. The bathroom was uncommonly nice. Our experience could not have been better.

What a great authentic Mexican restaurant. Great value and flavorful meals. We’ve eaten here twice now and not disappointed with anything. Great service and great vibe. Definitely recommend!!! Ask what the daily specials are too!!! Delicious!!!

Great spot for authentic Mexican food! Tons of locals eat here and a lot less touristy compared to places right on the shoreline. It was pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. The decor and atmosphere were really cute too Free chips and spicy cheese dip! 5/5 The fish ceviche was really good, it's a really large portion for an appetizer. 5/5 The beef quesadillas were so tasty! 5/5 The chicken fajitas were okay 4/5 The rice soup that came with the fajitas 5/5 The service was a little on the slower side, but I guess it's on island time! Staff were all very friendly and gave us English menus and were patient with my beginner Spanish. I'd definitely come back

The food is wonderful. The staff was super friendly. Our group had the grilled chicken, the chicken mole, the flank steak, the chicken kabobs, and steak, beef, and shrimp fajitas. We split it all so we could try everything. It was all so wonderful that we couldn't pick a favorite.

Easily the best choice for authentic Mexican (and really Yucatán) food in Cozumel. Classic dishes like guacamole and crevice are just about perfect. Don’t miss the chicken mole poblano!! Fish Veracruz is delicate and well balanced. Portions are large and easy to share. Lots on the menu for all tastes but best to stick with the Mexican specialties. Full bar. Very reasonable prices. Super casual setting without AC but still cool even on the hottest days. We’ve been coming here for 15 years and it never disappoints. Enjoy!

Excellent meal tucked back off the crazy avenue. Beautiful setting and the food was AMAZING and well priced. Highly recommend the Mole Chicken - it was the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely return.

Food was great, I ordered the fish and it was awesome! Atmosphere was fun and the server was very friendly. A musician played a song and sang for us with a guitar....be sure to tip him!

The people are so sweet, each time I go in we have a nice conversation (whether it is in English or Google Translate we make it happen)!! Plus the burritos are to die for - the vegetarian breakfast burrito and the chicken burrito are what I have had and wow oh wow they are packed with not only flavour but food! Such a good price too. My husband and I found this place a few years ago. We loved it so much that we go there every time we visit the island. The serve delicious food at very reasonable prices. It's off the main strip and worth the little extra walk.

Burritos are amazing, fresh ingredients and made with love. Beside that the owners are really caring for their guests. I had a wrong order to pick up and they went all the way to my house to super quickly to bring me the right one! All that with a smile and making me feel very welcome. 100%reccommended!

Well worth stopping here for amazing burritos! Very fresh and delicious. We had a chorizo breakfast burrito, a pork burrito bowl, and chips and salsa. Very authentic. Can't go wrong, just go!

I was in Cozumel for 10 days and I went to Burritos Gorditos at least 6 times - a testament to how delicious their food is. I loved the beef barbacoa, the veggie breakfast, the spicy shrimp and the veggie burrito. The staff are also really friendly and the vibe is spot on. A must try in Cozumel.

We had a wonderful meal here last night, the staff were lovely, extremely attentive and kind. They could not do enough for us and we're very helpful. We ordered the mussels, fish of the day and the carbonara all were exceptional and a fantastic price. I ordered a cocktail and they gifted me the cup which was very kind they didn't have to. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!! 💖💖

This place was a breath of fresh air. Was looking for a classy Italian vibe in Cozumel and this spot fit the bill! It's off the main road a tad, tucked away on a one way street. The decor was beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was solid; I had the beef carpacio as a starter and the duck breast for my main. No drinks this time; while they have a full bar their main thing is wine (and I wasn't in the mood for vino.) For 4 people, the tab came to less than $150 tip; money well spent in my book. Highly recommend if you're craving Italian fare.)

Typically in Mexico I want tacos and authentic Mexican food. But after 10 days here, I need to change it up and I’m soooo glad we found this gem. Great staff, huge portions and great service and the food was amazing. I had leftovers for 2 meals!!! Super affordable if you don’t have alcohol. Desert was delicious. We’ll make this restaurant one of our local favs!!! It’s also very boujie if you want to dress up for a fancy occasion. If you’ve had your fill of tacos and ready for some authentic Italian cuisine, yeah- you’ll appreciate La Cocay!!! We definitely recommend it!!!

I can handle being told at 1015 as I sit down that they close at 11 so I’d better order fast. I suppose that means they want you out the door at 11. Fine. Respect. I cannot accept them forgetting I asked for my plate to be out in a to-go box along with the salad and dessert I didn’t have time to eat there. They didn’t have any to-go fork, knife or spoon they said. So I said okay, I’ll eat my leftovers, salad and dessert with my fingers in my hotel room just to get out of your awful energy that just wants me to leave. I’m a problem customer at 1015pm. What is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE is La Cocay messing up and me rushing, cutting up half my chicken dinner into finger-sized pieces to eat at my hotel with no flatware…nor napkin…but that they apparently forgot and then handed me a to-go box with, supposedly my leftovers…to discover a box of rice with half a sweet poroto thing and lo chicken. No sauce. None of the vegetables. Just dry rice and half a sweet potato thing. I’m totally offended. They probably picked my leftover half sweet potato thing out of the trash and dumped it on a pile of rice leftover in the kitchen. I paid like $25 for that chicken at the current exchange rate and they ganged me trash and stole my food. My bill was over $1000 pesos and I was rushed, pressured and hurried and they gave me trash leftovers. Imagine if I even ate this and got sick!! Totally awful experience.

Best restaurant in Cozumel! Our third year coming here, multiple times each trip. Everything is fresh and delicious. The service is impeccable, especially our server Eliezar. Pizzas are an outstanding appetizer, and the pastas can’t be beat. Sit in the garden for some beautiful atmosphere. It’s a dream of place and our absolute favorite when visiting Cozumel 🩷.

This is a more expensive restaurant, but well worth it. The service is top notch, and the indoor dining area and outdoor eating area are really nice. We ate outside, and both had the fish of the day. Decent portions, and very tasty.

I am a local and I’ve read about this place on Facebook for several months so I decided to try it. Highly recommended! Great food (try the mole enchiladas), great atmosphere, Mexican music being played by a live trio. And their table side guacamole is delicious! They are dog friendly too. Some places are dog friendly but that can be a problem with the dogs that are not well behaved. When you arrive, they share a list of dog rules with you and if your dog cannot follow them they will not allow the dog in. Or, if your dog breaks the rules, the dog has to leave. Makes for a great experience!Rebeca was my hostess and she was very helpful. And Armando was my waiter and he did a great job. Try to get them to help you when you are here.

We have been to Casa Mission several times over the years. It seams to stay the same for the most part. During this visit at the last minute it was discovered that we were in a rush to get the next ferry back to the main land. They jumped right up too the task and got us right to the boat in about 20 minutes. So good food good service and good prices. Good luck and have fun.

What a great restaurant! Such a wonderful meal; flavorful and delicious. Authentic and what a beautiful setting. Service is great and live music was a great plus. Nice restaurant for a special occasion or just because. Dress up or not, but it’s a lovely place! Definitely coming back and you won’t regret trying it!

Eating dinner at Casa Mission was a delightful experience! The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside with a lovely outdoor dining space as well and evokes hacienda architecture. The waitstaff are very friendly and the service is quick! Drinks are fantastic, especially the margaritas. We had the beef steak nachos, ceviche, and shrimp burrito and everything was freshly made and so delicious. The ceviche was very refreshing, and I could eat it every day. Casa Mission is a must visit!

Excellent place to avoid the nonsense high density tourist areas. Nice chill spot to grab some high quality food and take in some cool architecture and sights. Paying took quite a long time and our taxi was waiting outside thinking we bailed on him. I think it took 30min to pay. I highly recommend the Caesar salad, he makes it right in front of you.

We were in Cozumel as a stop on a cruise. We hired a local to show us around the island. For lunch he took us to his favorite restaurant, Casa Mission, and I'm so glad he did. You should do the same. Everything was fabulous! All 14 in our group felt the same way. Among the things we had were chips and salsa (pico de gallo), margaritas, fajitas, ceviche, queso fundido, guacamole, y más. No disrespect to the places at the cruise terminals as we've enjoyed them in the past. But if you want to venture out and eat where the locals do, this is the place. ¡Salud!

Waiter was friendly and spoke English well. Menu available on tablet which was not offered to us initially. We were verbally informed of restaurant specials. Delightful atmosphere! Enjoyed the fish tacos. My husband enjoyed the beef special.

Ambiance: Mexican restaurant with beautiful views of the cruise ships/ocean with an upscale traditional/rustic style atmosphere. Their margaritas are large and hit the spot! The guacamole is a must order. We shared a few traditional Mexican meals - all were delicious! They offer free wi-fi and have an entire shop attached where you can get souvenirs and more. Friendly and fast service! Clean bathrooms and clean space. Great for tourists, families, and enjoying a nice meal in Cozumel.

Stopped by for Lunch. This place was recommended. Food, Drinks, and overall atmosphere was great. I took a few pics of some things I ordered. Beef Fajitas, and chicken enchiladas. Bathroom was the best smelling and cleanest I've been. When Im back in Cozumel with stop by again. A+++

I had a wonderful Mothers day meal here. The food was fresh, splendidly plated. The frozen lime margarita was refreshing on a hot day. The fried ice cream was yummy. You walk through shopping area to get to the restaurant . The staff at the shops really weren't pushy at all. The seating area is gorgeous with fountains and statues. Carlos was my waiter and we chatted for a while. I will definitely return.

This pace is a hidden gem. Came here because a local at a different restaurant said this place would be better. There was no lies detected!!!!! This place is beautiful! From the atmosphere to the look and feel of the place, just beautiful. The worker here are by far the nicest most sincere people on the island. The food was some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine you pups have and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I have come here 2 previous times while on cruises to Cozumel and loved the atmosphere and margaritas. Unfortunately, when we returned today, we were disappointed. Although the margaritas remained good and strong, the food quality declined significantly. Our chips were stale. The guacamole was tasteless and the salsa had no spice to it. My chicken fajitas were also bland and given the very expensive cost of everything, all the portions were very small. Come for the margaritas and the atmosphere and not the food. Very much for tourists only. The first question we were asked was what cruise ship we were on. Why should that matter?

The special today : beef taco was delicious and flavorful. Chilli sin carne is great for people under animal protein restrictions. The coffee flan with egg nog is so delicious. The restaurant has great ambience and the entertainment with local flavor is perfect.

It's not the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor for nothing! Our meal at Ix Kool was nothing short of extraordinary. This restaurant brings traditional, Mayan cuisine and unique tastes to Cozumel. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sikil P'aak made tableside in a traditional macajete. The handmade corn tortillas are authentically made. The Cochanita Pibil was so crispy while the slow-roasted pork was so juicy. We finished the evening with a traditional coconut cream. Thank you so much, Ix Kool. We look forward to our next visit.

Ix Kool was not what I expected.... it was 10 times better! The blending of the food was exceptional. We ordered straight away from the menu. Do yourself a favour. Watch the info video explaining the foods and how they are made. Best meal in 20 days of travelling Mexico. The guacamole was prepared in front of us at the table. After watching the video, I also had Mexican Cornbread dessert with home made coconut ice cream.

We went to have the Tequila & Mezcal tasting experience and was extremely fun and delicious! The experience is not only very informative, it’s really a trip for your senses. We got samples 4 tequilas, 5 mezcals, and like a small 4 steps appetizers that were classical Mayan cuisine. I’ll recommend this experience to everybody!

This is the second time visiting this fine establishment and it is fabulous. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. Great atmosphere, food and service. You have to try the guacamole. The Mayan flavors are fresh and great. A tell tale sign of a good restaurant is a manageable munu. This is one of them, there are limited choices, I suggest ordering a bottle of wine and trying any of them. I will be back every time I am in Cozumel.

Healthy, fresh, and delicious food. I made the right choice coming here for breakfast. I ordered the green bowl and it exceeded my expectations. The preparation, presentation and quality was excellent. The menu has so many healthy delicious options to choose from so you will easily find something to satisfy your nutrition and make your taste buds smile at the same time : )

We have been here several times and every time impressions was different. My husband is not vegan, so he really liked caesar wrap with chicken (though on one day it was really juicy and there was lots of sauce, on other day it had almost no sauce and tasted dry). He also liked Mediterranean bowl. I liked it too, but Mexicano was also nice. Tofu scramble was poor, small portion, insipid taste. Vegan wrap is absolutely same as Mediterranean bowl, but they added MUCH more balsamic vinegar and wrapped the salad in tortillas ;(( Better try bowl! Vegan sandwich was poor too, I didn’t even eat it. In menu it says there is pesto sauce, but they put it like a DROP 🥲 of it, and it had rotten taste and smell. Then cheap bread, bunch of spinach, drops of mustard and a little bit avocado… I returned it. Be aware of rotten spinach leaves and lettuce. I tried Afrodisiaco juice, it was really good. If you look for quality and good taste definitely go to Nutty Treesome cafe in Downtown, those guys will treat you as best friends, and they care about quality of ingredients. You will find awesome sushi and best ever burgers, you’ll love it even if you’re not vegan!

Ate here a couple times while visiting Cozumel! They have a mini store attached to the restaurant that has all your handmade hygiene products, natural peanut butters and spices. The menu is fairly large with lots of options to pick from! The staff was nice, and the prices were decent. The smoothies are the best !

A great spot with a tonne of vegan options.

I was excited to find this spot but the hours on Google are incorrect. The hours on their door also seem to be incorrect as I came at 6:15pm one day and they were closed already (despite having 7pm close time on their door). Food wise they are a solid option for those with dietary restrictions (dairy free, gluten free, vegan). The juices are EXCELLENT and worth the price. The flavoring of the food during our first visit was lacking. We ordered the vegan quesadilla (which turned out to be tacos) and the avocado lovers toast. The next day we ordered a smoothie bowl (which made up for the previous day) and an omelette. Both options were tasty.

I came all the way from New York to Mexico, and this was actually my very first meal here. I was so excited to finally taste some authentic local flavors—but honestly, this place left me a little disappointed. The food leaned heavily toward a more Westernized, Caucasian-style flavor profile: tons of cheese, very bland, and lacking depth or spice. It felt more like something I’d get at a resort rather than a local gem. As someone who’s quite picky and came to the island specifically for the food experience, it just didn’t hit the mark. BUT—the atmosphere? 10/10. Service? Even better. They lit mosquito coils for us, sprayed bug repellent when we asked, and the staff were super attentive and sweet. Music? Absolutely fire. Seriously, the playlist was amazing. I do suspect the restaurant might be owned or run by Americans, which would explain the flavor profile. And one thing that really bummed me out: I came alone and wanted to try the Chef’s Menu, but they wouldn’t serve it unless there were at least two people. That felt a bit unfair, especially for solo travelers. Overall, this place has a great vibe and fantastic service, but if you’re a foodie hunting for bold, authentic Mexican flavors—you might want to keep looking.

We had a wonderful evening at the restaurant and the food was beyond amazing. But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Victor and Sergio took such good care of us. We loved the unique flavors of every dish and you could tell the chef was on top of his game. Definitely will be a return visit when we come back to the island.

Very Limited vegan options, but there is one which is very tasty (cauliflower tacos). Not an overly cheap place either in comparison to a few others in the area, but it is very atmospheric and beautiful to have a light dinner at. Hopefully you are not too hungry as a vegan and come for the atmosphere instead. :) Very nice light music, breeze of the open air, mood lighting, dare I say romantic, with a starry night sky through the greens. The service is very friendly and attentive. And some free parking right outside of the restaurant. Recommend.

We had an Amazing experience! We parked up front. We were greeted beautifully and we got to choose our table. The ambiance is very relaxing. It wasn't dark yet so we didn't get to see all of the lighting but it was very beautiful with all the greenery and jungle vibe. We tried the lobster fundido, the corn on the cob, dumplings and the lionfish cakes, for dinner and shared. The lionfish cakes and corn was my favorite. Don't get me wrong everything was phenomenal! Every dish had its own uniqueness and the sauces that it came with paired perfectly together. We made room for dessert and tried the special which was cornbread cake and ordered the Katrina as well. Both of these desserts were AMAZING!!! Omg the presentation was out of this world! I loved it All😍

Lovely outdoor dining experience with excellent food, drinks and service. Lionfish cakes and Mayan snapper were really good as was the tropical margarita with a hint of spice. Victor took excellent care of us, gave us some good suggestions and was very professional. One of the better meals of our visit to Cozumel.

If you’d like to taste something local, but with a modern twist, complemented by friendly service and great ambiance, look no further. And by eating the delicious lionfish patties, you’ll be supporting the local marine biodiversity since lionfish is an aggressively invasive species and a threat to the coral reef.

The space has a warm atmosphere, very nice place, it is located on the main avenue of the Island so that is incredible. The service is very friendly, The chef suggested the Famous: The Lobster and Bacon Sandwich, commenting that it was very good, so we took it , but the truth is that it fell very short for what it really is, the combination of the ingredients with the bread is not good at all, I honestly do not recommend it. And we ordered a Garlic Shrimp pizza, it is good, but as a suggestion they could distribute the ingredients more to feel more of the combination of flavors in the slices, otherwise the pizza was very delicious.

The lobster bisque is the best we've ever had. Bacon wrapped shrimp done perfectly, 6 big ones! Lasagna bolognese was also excellent. US/MX exchange rate a bit low so bring pesos if possible. Seating for 16 in the AC, more outside. Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

A SERIOUS 5 Star experience, yet priced extremely well. The food is prepared & presented with perfection, and our server, the young lady, was so kind and helpful. We MUST return! Many times!!!

Great find for super delicious and beautiful food. Right on the main road ocean view, near the ferry. This place was recommended by a street vendor and we are happy we took his advise! The calamari and Brie appetizers were great. We also tried the Greek salad, tortellini, lobster sandwich, corn beef sandwich and two past dishes and they were all fantastic!!

We joined two other couples in celebrating a Birthday here. The menu was outstanding, as was the food. Wait staff was highly professional. The place was clean and nicely decorated with a flair for repurposing. The bathrooms were clean. I had a penne pasta dish that enjoyed. We ordered some appetizers too. Nearly all of them and everyone really enjoyed them, especially the brie one, the tuna tartar, and the toasts with oil and salsa. You won't go wrong here. Prices were good considering a more high end menu and experience. They even brought out a pretty chocolate mousse for the Birthday girl and it had lit candles and all. A wonderful evening.

Made reservations for 7 to celebrate an event. Host was great, waiter was superb, food was spot on! The restaurant came highly recommended by regulars to the island and it didn't disappoint :-) The group had various dishes and everyone agreed it was exceptional. From drinks to apps, entrees and desserts...all worth ordering again!

Just a disappointment. A salad with 3oz lobster tail and a 2nd lunch of pasta cost just over $31.00 and this is to go order. Miserable plain iceberg lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes and small lobster tail which was over seasoned. Pity because I had read great reviews. Also we needed to take this to go. They had no silverware so we had to sit in the car to eat and return the silverware. Defeated the idea to save time. How do people charge so much for pasta and a few vegtables?

Friends said to try this local restaurant and it did not disappoint!! Service excellent. We came in at mid afternoon and this place was still busy. It's not right up front with the tourist area so you'll have to go up a street, and you'll be happy you did. We preferred tacos, a burrito, fresh guac, and margaritas... All of these items were just amazing, and the people in the small and not pretentious kitchen smiled and waved on the way out. This restaurant will always be a stop when in the area. 10/10 recommend.

I absolutely love this place! Saul y Guillermo are the two servers that are always there and they are amazing- super attentive and always making sure everything is fantastic. The owner(or Manager) is always there walking around checking on tables and chatting with guests- making sure all is well. This is my second year coming to Cozumel and I frequent this restaurant a lot- never disappointed- they have daily specials and I have not had a bad dish yet! And the beer is COLD! Thank you! *UPDATE*2025 This place is still absolutely fantastic- tried for the first time the Cuban Sandwich - amazing(wish I hadn’t waited so long to try it!) William & Saul still serving there and are just getting better! Owner is still always around checking on things, helping, cleaning etc. if you haven’t tried this place - don’t wait- all the food is amazing and they always have fantastic daily specials!

Took the ferry to Cozumel and wanted to find a place just away from the touristy stuff. This place was exactly what I wanted and more. Very cool place with a sort of modern boho/beach style. Staff was very attentive to my non-Spanish speaking self. Incredibly delicious fruit covered in yogurt and granola was something I didn’t realize I wanted! Saw it on the menu to keep it a light breakfast and damn was it good! Filling but light and healthy. Plus, seemed like a fitting local food! Fruit was fresh and lots of flavor (unlike the junk fruit in resorts) really enjoyed this place!

This place was recommended to my wife and me by friends. Now I am recommending it to all. The guacamole was fresh. The Shrimp Cocktail was huge (get the medium) and super floral with a tremendous amount of t of shrimp. I had shrimp tacos and the wife had chicken tacos and they were outstanding! The green salsa has some great heat but not overly hot, more flavorful. We will definitely put this on our list to visit the next time we are in Cozumel.

Very Impressed! The food was delicious! The service was very good and the restaurant was spotlessly clean and bright. Although we speak fairly good Spanish the waiter offer to speak in English and was very helpful.

I live for conch ceviche and mostly only find amazing fresh in the Bahamas but this one hits the spot! Fresh crunchy tender limey. So good! Also fish tacos are delicious. They deliver quickly. Didn’t move from my spot at Condumel to eat by the water. Paradise!

Don't miss this hidden gem! Their grilled shrimp taco is awesome! The fish taco and stewed octopus are also very good. The price is slightly more expensive than the other diners but the portion is biggg! I got at least ten shrimps on my taco. So it's definitely worth it! Visited here twice during my stay.

Found this place randomly after riding around the whole island; Easily one of the best tacos on the island. Must try breaded shrimp tacos along with the shrimp ceviche and guacamole. Service was extremely fast and welcoming.

Always stop here for the garlic shrimp 🤤 we've been on the island 7 times and this is the only spot we put into rotation consistently. So good, so cheap, salsas are amazing.

While the burrito is good, it's nothing special for the price of $18$ for a burrito and a Fanta. For the quality, the price isn't equal, and there are many better spots on the island where you get your money's worth. It's definitely where tourists eat, which coincides with the way they charge their prices. I won't be going back.

Crazy King burrito is it family owned place here on Cozumel. They make delicious burritos, best on the island! Each burrito is cooked with care. The owners take pride in their quality, flavor and value. Remember, a family owns the place, their hours are 11 - 7 Saturday to Friday. You won't be disappointed! 😋

Nice staff, burrito is nothing special. I got the king sized king burrito. For the price, I was hoping for a giant super delicious burrito. However, I have had better and bigger burritos in California for cheaper and better flavor profiles. Probably would try a different burrito restaurant next time.

This place is the cat's pajamas! Super friendly staff, great service and delicious food. I snagged a "King" burrito and my fiance grabbed a veggie burrito...both were spot on. Portions, quality and value. This joint just slightly off the beaten path is a gem. The hospitality by the staff was great. Attention to detail for a small, affordable shop was great. Don't change a thing!

My friend and I had a wonderful dining experience here. All around, excellent service, food, and atmosphere with a view of the sunset that was beautiful. I had made a Wednesday 7:00 dinner reservation inside because we wanted AC, though they also had a beautiful patio seated area too. When we arrived we were greeted and seating at a table by the window with a view. Our server, Julio was excellent, friendly and attentive, he made our experience very enjoyable. We ordered cocktails. To note: they make great Slightly Dirty Martini and a Lychee Martinis. We were served complementary bread which was so good. We then ordered a few appetizers to share, the Mussels and Fries, Chicken Satay Skewers, and the Crispy Soft Shell Crab. The mussels were excellent, big and cooked perfectly. Chicken satay was good, the peanut sauce served with it was so good. The soft shell crabs were excellent and there were 2 full size crabs, fried to a crunchy perfection. Atmosphere: romantic, high end dining experience. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

By far the best experience we had on a 7 day cruise! Beautiful, clean, quiet, high class atmosphere. Excellent food, excellent service. Crystal clear water and tons of fish to view for snorkeling. 10/10 - will definitely come back!

Awesome place!!! Loved the food, drinks, and service. Luis was great! The pool and beach is a bit smaller but I enjoyed the vibes. I even got a massage that was incredible. The one thing I didn’t like is that they advertise free tequila tasting but it is not tequila. It’s tequila liquor. A tourist scam.

We are so happy that we found this place... we came with a cruiz ship and we're looking for a place to spend the day. The place had excellent reviews and was only 15 min a taxi drive away from the ship. The taxi was $20 in one direction. The Buccanos place is super clean, fantastic staff and great beach. We did some snorkeling and had lunch. We ordered fish and chips, chrispy chicken sandwich, soft shell crab and grilled octopus... we also had a bunch of drinks... so we paid $60 entrance fee, which goes towards the food consumption and our total in the end was $123 (60 we already paid). I would recommend the place and would visit again. The restrooms were super clean, the food was amazing.

Food and atmosphere are amazing!!! Luis is a great server, was attentive and made good conversation. I cannot say enough about how good the food is and how clean the facility is! The water was clear and beautiful, lots of fish and opportunity to snorkel! This was my third time here & I will continue to visit on every trip. Love! Love! Love!

This restaurant is famous in Cozumel for a reason. Reservations are required. I had the best meal of my life here. The calamari appetizer was excellent, but the shrimp and crab ravioli was life-changing. My husband’s filet mignon was incredibly tender and juicy, and he said it was the best he has ever had. The service was fantastic, and the desserts—apple crumble parfait and brownie parfait—were phenomenal.

Dinner with family and friends at Buccanos was amazing! The food, the service, the views and the amazing atmosphere were stellar. Perfect night with family and great friends! Our meals were beautifully done! Bravo Buccanos!! Will definitely come back!

We had a good experience and were able to get a decent lunch for an affordable price ($53 for 4 people). Located near the ferry just off the Parque Benito Juarez. This local restaurant has a nice back garden area. This is not a noisy Senor Frogs. We ordered tacos carne asada/yucatecan pork and cochinita/mayan pork, quesadilla, hamburger with fries. On the wall is a menu for antojitos or snacks/appetizers that included empanadas as mentioned in other reviews – they did not have any available which was disappointing. The tip was not already added in. Overall the food was ok, it wasn’t greasy but it wasn’t anything special.

I visited Casa Denis, Cozumel’s oldest restaurant located in the historic center. I ordered the chile relleno plate with rice and corn tortillas, along with two Mexican beers. They brought what I thought was complimentary chips and pico de gallo to start. Pico de gallo had some good heat to it. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request for no shrimp. Some beans or more local vegetarian dishes would have been nice but not on the menu. Lots of cheese options. When settling the bill, I noticed a discrepancy with the exchange rate. The total was 350 Mexican pesos, which they charged as $24 USD. However, at the actual exchange rate that day (18.6 pesos per dollar), it should have been $18.80. They were using a rate of 17, which added about $5 to my bill. So I would recommend bringing your Mexican pesos and asking for your bill in pesos too. The food was decent but felt overpriced for what I received, even accounting for the prime location near the main plaza. I had hoped to find more distinctive local specialties here given the restaurant’s history, but the menu seemed fairly standard. They did offer lime soup and a few other regional dishes that I didn’t try, so perhaps those are worth exploring. Service was very good. They will seat you outdoors - great for people-watching. The interior was empty during my visit, with everyone at the few tables out front. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re in the area, but the exchange rate markup and menu left me wanting more from what’s supposed to be a historic dining destination.

Wonderful spot for lunch off the main drag. Real authentic vibe in this place. Sit in the courtyard if you can. Great attention for the table from our guy. We ate like kings and spent very little USD. Fundito was fantastic. Tacos that everyone got where awesome. Flavors of everything were perfect. Got lots of bottle soda. Got some good bottle sol beer. Will be back the next time I am in Cozumel.

We wanted something off the main street. Was talking to a couple who lived in Cozumel part of the year. They suggested this cafe and the woman recommended the bean soup. We were seated outside on the porch. The server knew many of the people walking by. He would walk out to greet them and chat a bit. Told me they lived just down the street from the cafe. Lunch came with over-fried, hard chips and a very good salsa. My soup was alright. My husband's fish was dry. The meal seemed expensive for being mediocre and off the beaten path. I'm sure there's a separate price for locals.

This place was founded in the 40’s and has the distinction of being one of the oldest restaurants in Cozumel. The food is delicious and inexpensive. This is a great stop for a quick lunch in town, or a first meal in Cozumel. The guacamole is good, but the Empenadas are TO DIE FOR.

Welcoming, servers do try to lure you in though. A few tables filled with people laughing and enjoying themselves. We ordered Mayan Pork Tacos, which were a bit dry and Fried Chicken Tacos, which were okay. Pico and chips were fresh! Very friendly prices! Was okay overall, but wouldn't go back.

We have been coming here for years, that’s a testament to the food quality. This year unfortunately casa Denis was a disappointment. Starting with the tex Mex arracherra, overcooked and very chewy…. Don’t order. The rich ceviche is off menu and I can see why, it was served warm and after two bites, could not eat any more. The cochinita pibil tacos were delish. As were the fried plantains

This place is a little bit out of the way from the main downtown area, which is a good thing in my opinion. I LOVED it & they do take major credit cards. I had an awesome Shrimp Cocktail to start with & freshly caught Grouper Fish Fillet grilled with garlic & seasonal vegetables. It was all GREAT & the same staff were very attentive & definitely care about what they are doing to please you. I would definitely go again & recommend it to all! Two thumbs up from me!

Definitely a stop if you are interested in sea food. This is a family run place with extremely flavorful meals. The menu is well curated and the service is top notch.

Amazing ceviche, I had octopus ceviche, my wife had lion fish ceviche, and my niece had shrimp ceviche. We all really enjoyed our meals. My friend had the coconut shrimp and it blew my mind how good it was. They make their guacamole fresh when you order it. My only criticism is that the tortilla chips were a little burnt, but that’s just me looking for something to criticize.

Let me start off by saying they let us come in before they officially opened and happily sat us down. We ordered a large shrimp ceviche to share and an order of rice, just to try it out. Glad we did. It was all delicious. The rice was really good. I am glad we decided to try it. The ceviche was a decent size to share for lunch. They bring out chips, limes, and picante with it. We tried to order lemonade, but they offered us a fresh cold coconut juice so we changed our minds on the lemonade. It was a solid choice. So cold and fresh with no pulp or any weird stuff. The staff here are very welcoming and speak good English. The restaurant appears to also be the home of some of the workers. I really liked the atmosphere of the place. It felt like a quiet place the locals enjoy.

Cute interior and friendly staff. The grilled fish was super delicious. The stuffed Avocado didn't really hit our taste with the shrimp being bathed in a creamy sauce. In our opinion it would habe tasted much better with more natural/garlic shrimp as the avocado brings its own valuable fats. However, it might be that the creamy version is a local one? Anyways we would still recommend the place

This is by far the best taco stand on the island worth the track from the main drag to it. Very good pricing. The chicken tacos and the gringa are by far my favourite bought six tacos and three bottles of pop for 250 pesos

This taqueria was recommended by the locals. My hubby scuba dives in Cozumel often but doesn’t explore many of the restaurants. I’m 1st generation Mexican American so I know my authentic Mexican food. These are the tacos you want. I haven’t tried their Gringa Pique but our local friends raved about the Alpastor Gringa Pique which is like a pizza. Anyhoo… not sure if I’ll try it bc I’m just hooked on their guac n tacos. We’ve been here about 10 days and already eaten here twice. I’m pretty sure we’ll be here a couple more times before we leave and this place will be one of our favs!!! Oh, and you can’t beat the price. Hubby and I each get 2 tacos and share a plate of guac n chips, we give a generous 20% tip and it’s still less than $20 USD, great place all around!!! Try it, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Excellent tacos, soups, and fajitas with a huge selection of meat to choose from. This place is a locals favorite with an open kitchen. It’s a bit sad that they only have surtido out of all the cabeza meat when I visited

Definitely try this taqueria while in Cozumel. Great for large groups. Plenty of outdoor seating..There is no English menu ..the staff knows limited English but are extremely patient in taking the order. This is frequented by locals so you can't go wrong if you did end up here.

Nice little taco mecca off the tourist path. More selections of tacos than you can imagine. When you enter the restaurant you pass by the kitchen where all the magic is happing. You see chefs grilling pork chops and slicing meat off a spit. We love the Gringa Pique al Pastor or Chuleta. You also need to try the pinto beans, they're amazing! This is a must stop everything we go to Cozumel!

The guava croissant was so good I wanted to hug the chef and let them know that they are loved and valued. Best guava croissant I have had in my life! Only sad I got the last one. I don’t even remember how the coffee was like but was probably good too.

Great spot for breakfast! Cozy little café with a warm, relaxed vibe and super friendly staff. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the rest of the breakfast menu had plenty of tempting options, whether you’re after something sweet, savory, or in between. Coffee was solid, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer. We left full and happy—and already talking about what we’ll try next time. Definitely worth a return visit if you’re in the area and want to start your day off right.

Wow - Just wow! This was our best meal during our stay in Mexico. I recommend getting the Sourdough Vasco and 1 or 2 pastries for a couple. Perfect amount of food to get your day started. Coffee was also fresh and tasty!

Addy’s restaurant is a hidden gem. We were warmly welcomed and served. The breakfast was excellent (and very affordable). On top of that, the garden where you sit while eating is beautiful. We even saw a hummingbird during our meal – wow. Many thanks for the warm service and the delicious food, it’s definitely worth the trip.

My husband and I had breakfast here. The service and food was excellent! I also had a fresh juice from beets and green juice. So good! Highly recommend. Price was great, too!

This breakfast restaurant needs more recognition. The food tasted homemade and the service was incredibly friendly. First time trying huevos rancheros and I think this place did it justice. Although I might be biased here because it was my first time! The mini hot cakes is what sold me on coming here and as a Canadian, the maple syrup was perfect. This is the first place since being in Mexico where they served maple syrup instead of honey with my hot cakes. All around the place felt very authentic and the food was very homey. The prices were fair and a lot cheaper than any other breakfast places I’ve been to. My partner and I enjoyed ourselves and plan to be back again for breakfast.

Absolutely unreal little brunch spot. We came here on a whim, and ultimately spent the whole meal raving to each other about how much we were enjoying it. The garden patio is beautiful and tranquil, the service is SO quick, so friendly, and it’s clearly a well loved family business. Speaking of well loved, every dish is so very clearly prepared with love (both figuratively and literally), and tastes fresh and delicious to boot. Can’t recommend enough, and will definitely be coming back.

We had the most incredible breakfast and smoothies here in a quiet, beautiful courtyard respite a short walk from the pier in Cozumel. The hospitality was wonderful, the food and smoothies were delicious, and Addy's art is beautiful and makes the whole serene outdoor area shine. If you're making your way to Cozumel, take the time to get away from the crowded tourist traps and make your way here - you won't regret it!

I like the fresh fruit juices and the tasty coffee. Eggs, Hot Cakes, Veggie-Sandwiches, Omelettes and Huevos Motuleños ! The owner Addy and her daughter are doing a great Job !

Serene oasis to have a delicious breakfast or juice. Addy is a very gracious host and checks in on all her guests. Only note would be to sit under the roof or awnings so you don’t get a “surprise” from the iguanas above.

Often frequented by locals this is a Cozumel must visit ! This restaurant has been in the family for decades . The entire food is freshly prepared on placing the order. Highly recommend .

El Moro is a true Cozumel treasure. Our server Ray was attentive, funny, and super efficient—maybe because his parents own the place and were keeping an eye on him! 😄 But seriously, this is a warm, family-run restaurant where everyone pitches in, and it shows. My wife had the Chicken Tuculeño (pictured), and I had the Chicken Madrileña—both were absolutely delicious, authentic, and served in HUGE portions. This after starting with the garlic soup which was amazing. We were running late and decided to skip the start of the Seahawks game at home but the staff found it for us on their TV and even cheered along with us. Can’t recommend this place enough—great food, great people, and great atmosphere. Don’t miss it!

El Moro is a local restaurant that is away from the tourist district. The restaurant has great food and service. The menu has a wide assortment of island favorites. We enjoyed grilled shrimp kabobs and a chicken plate. Bring pesos to pay for your dining experience.

This family owned business serves delicious and authentic cuisine. Four of us had our meals & 2 drinks and it was about $100 usd. The owners/staff are VERY friendly and kind.

Best prices and food on the island but off the main road. They have been here over 60 years but won’t be much longer without your support. The co-owner Ray is without a doubt the hardest working person on the island. The Mayan coffee is a 30 minute experience and incredibly good

This place is great! I highly recommend either of the lobster dinners. The one photographed is Langosta Moro, but the best is Langosta al Gratin. It is lobster in a cheese and cream sauce, it's amazing! And huge! A great appetizer is the bacon wrapped shrimp, but it's not on the menu. The staff are amazing, super friendly, family owned and will do anything to make your meal great.

El Moro is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at on vacation, it’s so good, I’ve been back three times in two different trips to Cozumel. Two of the three times we came we just ordered the special, the first time it was the “fish in a packet” it was amazing, the second time they had some pulled pork with corn tortillas, pickled red onion and fresh lime and vinegar jalapeños. It was so amazing! We also got the cheese over beef soup, with rice. It was so good, incredible even! You can tell the staff and owners are foodies who love what they do! Come here every time you are in Cozumel, you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped at this little gem on our day trip to Cozumel. My husband and I ordered the bacon lobster rolls and they were delicious! We had amazing service and got our food quickly. If we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely stop again!

Absolutely perfecto! So fresh, perfectly cooked, and lots of savory goodness! The lobster was so soft and buttery and the steak (I had a surf n turf burrito) was also tasty. It’s a nice touch to brown a side of the burrito, adding a touch of crunch. This place checked all the boxes for all four of us, even though we all had something different. Super filling and worth every penny-speaking of which, the price was quite reasonable as well. The Chef deserves high praise-he takes pride in his creations with limited space, he manages a masterpiece. The owner was great fun as well, very gracious and even made my husband a nice drink to help with his hangover 😆. Ok, confession time-I don’t usually like lobster, but this place has completely changed my mind. Delicious!

Excellent spot for a lobster roll. Owner is super friendly, and the food was amazing! We had the surf and turf roll, and shrimp with lobster roll and the meat was well-cooked, the rolls were fluffy and nicely toasted, and were appropriately buttery. Prices were VERY reasonable. We will definitely return!

The coconut margarita sign was the draw. And I'm glad since I've never had one before. It was great! Done diving early due to rough weather so finally had a chance to go and brought a big appetite which was good. I got the Lobster burrito and my buddy got the lobster, bacon roll. Both were huge, and stuffed full of lobstery goodness. If you want Michelin star reviews you probably won't get it here, but this place should be on a don't miss site somewhere for casual hand-helds, great drinks, friendly service and good prices. It's small inside and not very fancy, but there also tables outside so plenty of room.

From the moment I stepped into La Monina, the warm ambiance and attentive staff set the tone for an exceptional visit. My server Ever was attentive and friendly the food never disappoints. The shrimp ceviche, shrimp tacos drinks are amazing. This is my go to every year visiting Cozumel ! Amazing view great vibe !

Walked here from our cruise and stopped for a drink. Really lovely place and although we didn't eat, we did stay for more than one drink as it was just such a relaxing vibe. Discoverd it has a beach bar underneath with small beach, loungers and access to the sea of you wanted a swim/snorkel stop with in walking distance of the ferry/Punta Langosta cruise terminal. A good 20 walk but worth it as it wasn't busy or full of tourist and reasonably priced.

Emmanuel was amazing, he went to the store to get rice for me to dip my phones and I feel down and my phone ended up in the water, he also gave me Ice for my swollen arm, the food was great breaded fish and French fries and the drink was amazing. Definitely will be back on my next visit

Just ask for the ceviche mixto!! Its soooo good! We order burger and tacos and it was a disappointment, very dry🥲 Great service tho, they are friendly and respectful! Nice view and ambience 😍 love it!!

Absolutely delicious. Mayan Chicken tacos were some of the best I've ever had and the nachos were delicious. The drinks were so good as well! And they were very accommodating with my allergies. Nemo was very kind and helpful. We will definitely be back when visiting Cozumel.

I have been coming to La Monina for 4 years regularly. It used to be an amazing place with great food. About a year ago, a new head manager came in and has a very rude demeanor towards clients and the staff. I witnessed him yelling at staff in front of a full restaurant, and he yelled at my friend who was trying to pay for her meal. Most of my friends refuse to go back because the service is so bad. Today, I thought I’d give them another try, and it will be the last time I go there. I was ignored the first 10 mins I was there- a large family was served right away even though I got there before them. When I asked for a menu the waiter went upstairs and didn’t return. I walked up to another waiter and asked again for a menu. He brought it to me and I ordered right away. The original waiter brought my order- didn’t look at me, ignored me when I said thank you, and contributed to talk with a woman who was not ordering from there. Neither waiter checked in on me, took my empty plates or made eye contact when I was trying to get service. I spoke to the original waiter and told him how I felt that I wasn’t welcomed there and he made excuses about being busy. Mind you- there were 2 waiters and 5 tables of people. I told him this wasn’t the first time- especially with him and that I wouldn’t be coming back. Peep the photo of my empty plates and glasses while he has his back to me and chats with his friend instead. Pass on La Monina- the food isn’t worth being treated like an inconvenience.

Really good vegan salad. (Gluten free and vegan, gf/vg) Enjoyed a soy latte and strawberry smoothie. Partner loved the eggs Benedict.

We absolutely LOVE this place! I am not exaggerating, this is my favorite restaurant of all time! The service is incredible and everyone is so attentive and friendly. The experience itself is worth it, but the food is absolutely out of this world! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They have the best tarts and pastry’s I’ve ever had in my entire life. We found this place and have been back to eat every single morning since we arrived in beautiful Cozumel. It was so great, clean and professional. I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend of 5 years but wasn’t sure where. We all loved it so much between the amazing food and chic ambience, I popped the question right in the restaurant after one of the best breakfasts of my life. This place will always hold a special place in my heart and I will be back. You are doing yourself a disservice by not eating here trust me! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Great spot for almond croissant and breakfast deals. I love their green juice (pineapple, cucumber, mint). They customize my order. Had the avocado, egg , Spanish on a croissant. 😍 Service was great! Wish I stayed longer to try their pastry & bread.

This place is legitimately the best breakfast place I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at. Once we found out about this place we didn’t even bother going to other breakfast restaurants. I even proposed to my Fiancé there. We are back stateside but I can’t stop thinking about their tarts. If you’re in Cozumel do yourself a favor and stop in, at least for a tart. They do have meals as well. All in all a magical place that I hold dear to my heart. Each photo is a different morning we had breakfast here.

A wonderful time with friends! Food was excellent, pacing was great, and the atmosphere perfect. I would go there again! Also, was fortunate to score a loaf of their sourdough bread! Amazing! Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Forget about the places with fancy presentation but no flavor, this place has THE BEST tacos we’ve experienced on the island and we’ve had quite a few tacos over the years. I could eat them every day, especially the mole taco 🤤. AND as cheap as they come. I hope this place never goes away. They also had excellent guacamole with homemade tortilla chips they fried upon order. Oh! And they had sauces that they brought to the table too, the spicy one I didn’t touch so I can’t speak on it, but the green sauce was delicious.

Five stars! This place is a hidden gem. I was on a cruise stop in Cozumel and desperately searching for authentic tacos that weren't the usual overpriced tourist fare at the port. Guisados delivered and then some! The food here is absolutely phenomenal. From the incredible guacamole to the rich and flavourful chicken mole tacos, every bite was a revelation. Served on soft, fresh blue corn tortillas, these tacos are what I'm going to be dreaming about for years to come. The best part? The price. At only $1.50 USD per taco, you can get a true taste of Mexico without getting ripped off. This is the real deal and a must-visit for any foodie in Cozumel.

A quaint, colorful little taco spot with a great local vibe and five different vegan taco options. I tried three – Chili, Mexican Style Pumpkins, and my favorite, Mole with Vegetables. The Mole taco absolutely stole the show, rich, deep flavor with that perfect hint of chocolate and spice. Honestly, it should be their signature vegan taco (if it isn’t already!). The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and even loved on our pup, it’s a very dog-friendly spot where we felt completely welcome. Mauricio was a great server and even gave suggestion on the order he recommended eating the 3 tacos. The décor has that artsy charm, and the food feels like it’s made straight from the heart. Check out the art above the toilet. 🫢cute! I’d definitely come back for the Mole with Vegetables tacos. 🌮❤️

Stopped for a few tacos. Glad we did. $2 per taco. Had mole, chicharron in salsa verde, pappa con chorizo (good but least favorite), biotechnology in salsa verde. Only complaint was it very hot inside the business. They had an air conditioner but guess they were trying to save $$$. Would definitely return.

Great authentic Mexican tacos! Our first time and it was delish! I love little hole in the wall restaurants. Always the best!!! We had the chicken mole taco, the chicharron taco, the chicken tinga and the pork. The guacamole was great too!

Oh my gosh...I loved Guisados. I will definitely be back there on any future visits to Cozumel. Me and my partner went in Oct 2025. It's an awesome, tiny place...hot like any other authentic place on the island...and they had awesome huge fans blowing directly on us, so all was well. The host/server was just awesome and happily explained everything to us. I saw 8 pots of stuff stewed in clay pots, so I said we'd take 1 of each please. Partner and I each ate half of each taco...yum! Also, I found my favorite mole chicken in the world (very chocolately), so eat that! (I may have ordered another one just for me, who knows...) We also had their dessert special of pan de muerto with vanilla nieve...yuuuum. I just had a great time here. Handmade blue corn tortillas, the best host/server/cook ever (they were all so sweet and friendly), and deliciously prepared meats. Yum!

Updated in 2025…just as awesome as always. We brought our adult son and he loved it. Every time we’ve been to Cozumel we come to Guisados. Exactly what you’re hoping for in authentic, home made ingredients. Will be back. An amazing food experience for us. Great local flavored tacos for an amazing price. Small little place off the beaten path. Be sure to take the walk from the port area to have awesome tacos. Staff was super friendly and helpful to us that didn't speak Spanish. Many gluten free choices by nature of their local recipes. Can't wait to go back.

I got the Florentine eggs which was the same as their eggs benedict with the addition of spinach, side salad and salmon. It was decently good! The brioche bread was a nice touch but it did fall apart a bit fast. Overall yummy but I would try a different bread than brioche next time

Our normal breakfast place was closed and we came across this place with the waffles Benedict and decided to check it out. We are frequent travelers to Cozumel and have tried lots of different places. What a wonderful place with absolutely delicious food. My Mexican spouse got the Big American Breakfast (it is what she orders when we are in the US) and if you are a gringo and want a big American breakfast this was better than the one at home (I live in Mexico now). The eggs were perfectly cooked (she likes them well done), the bacon tasted smoked and was so thick and juicy, and the waffles were perfect with big and fluffy hash browns that I had to try. They were exquisite. I had the Oaxaca Chilaquile Mole and it did not miss a beat. The mole tasted just like it does in Oaxaca and they captured the flavor perfectly. We feel bad our normal breakfast place was closed (by the government) but now we got a second place after being so disappointed in many other choices. We will be coming here half the time now. Sorry to the owner of our ex favorite breakfast place. You are now tied on the island.

The food was fantastic. We had the chiliquitos and the Florentino Benedict. Jesus took great care of us. And the artwork on the walls is incredible. So fun to look at and see all the fun elements added. Great relaxing g vibe.

We stumbled upon this place by chance. The avocado toast was delicious, and the banana coffee latte was a great discovery! The service was a bit slow, but the pleasant atmosphere and the quality of the food more than made up for it.

I went to Jolly for breakfast and enjoyed an iced coffee and the avocado toast. The portions are large and quite filling. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go again.

Mijael was the perfect server and should make Jolley proud. My first visit to Jolly and I will return. The food, atmosphere, and location were all on point.

If you like all your food to be super sweet then this place might suit you. But we like some sweet and some savory. The cauliflowers were sweet, the fish of the day was sooo sweet and buttery I thought my arteries would be clogged by the time I was done. The potatoes were okay. The corn was delicious. The only reason we went to this place was because we had such an amazing experience at its sister restaurant, kondesa. Which was amazing!!!!! Highly recommend the sister restaurant.

Went with three friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything... excellent cocktails and apps and the mains were to die for!! I had seared tuna, one friend had pork ribs, while another had a sampler menu that we all took part in.

You need to come here. This is 5 stars on all accounts The food is amazing. Wood fire oven pork ribs with Jamaica-agave glaze, rosemary potatoes, Yucatán salad with a side of fired roasted elote (corn) with 5 chili aioli, tamarind and sesame seeds. 😋 Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here. The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Come here. Get the ribs. Leave happy.

Thoughtful unique food that taste great and is good value for the price.  We tried the chef's degustation, octopus, skewered shrimp and a cocktail. All of the dishes were great and none disappointed.

Great food and service. The wood oven in the garden makes it cool. We took the tasting menu, which was tasty every bite. The meats were superb (pork belly and picana) as was the lobster flat bread. And also the cocktails were well balanced with sweet sour spicy and strong. I only recommend the staff to tidy up a bit more (empty wine bottles laying around, unused tables on a stack). Cocktails +-120p, 5 course menu 700p is reasonable price for this quality

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner while traveling with family. The food was presented beautifully, it tasted wonderful. The octopus was the first I've ever had that was really soft and not at all rubbery! Our service was exceptional, and when we brought back the family for New Year's Eve cocktails and dessert our server recognized us and stuck around to chat. You'd never guess from the outside what a beautiful garden the tables are in - it's so romantic and removed from the noise of the city. This is a beautiful spot and so reasonably priced for the quality of their food!

My favourite restaurant in all of Cozumel!!!! I'm a vegan, and this is not a vegan restaurant, but the chef created an amazing dish for me that was not on the menu. And every time I return he amazes me with a new and exciting creative meal made just for me. I wish they would add them to the menu. The place is amazing and the seating is mostly in their rear garden with wonderful decor and they usually have live music. On the one day that they didn't the manager Daniel sang a duet with me which was received with a thunderous ovation from the dining guests.

We've been to a Señor Frogs before in Panama City but this place takes it to 3 levels higher. I've never had so much fun at a dining restaurant. The host, owner, waiter, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and give us the best time possible. We had so much entertainment and enthusiasm coming at us from the time we walked in, I didn't even have a chance to take any pictures! An absolute must visit while in Cozumel.

I came here because we were on the cruise ship and it docked in Cozumel Mexico. Best place to be at. I had an amazing time with my husband and we met new friends. I can't wait to go back again. I got the mango drink in those funnel cups. The service people there were super sweet and nice.

Tourist ripoff!! Cruise ship passengers don’t fall for this. There are much better restaurants nearby. Senior Frogs Beware! Maybe our fault for not asking how much beforehand but…We sat down and ask for a Coke Zero and a Margarita. They served them but the Margarita was $23 (left) and the Coke Zero was $7 (right) so $30 for these! Still in shock 😳! We are never fans of the ridiculous souvenir cups/glasses anywhere. We were going to dine here but lessons learned!!! We always dine a few blocks away but the restaurants were open yet so opted for this place. Never again!

If you’re taking a cruise and stopping in Cozumel, there’s a nice little area to jump in the water right outside of senior frogs

Happened upon this place around 10am (2 hours after docking.) The music was loud, but for the most part the restaurant was pretty empty - it filled up by the time we had left around 11:30am. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There were two clowns that gave different balloon animals to EVERY person in there and was accepting donations. Fun idea to add to the party atmosphere! The barstools are funny and they make it look like everyone has on bikinis lol. This restaurant is heavy on the drinking and offered us shots and even gave away free shots for answering music trivia questions right. When giving the shots, they blow whistles excessively, shake your head around and bounce your chest around. For those reasons, not a great family place. Felt like a Dick’s Last Resort for those you have been there before. Overall, fun vibes and was the most fun we had in Cozumel!

What a great time we had there after walking the port area. You will walk by this restaurant when you take a cruise on Carnival and it stops in Cozumel. Food was great, entertainment with a live band, alcohol, etc. we were able to feed the fish from our table on the pier. This is our go to place!

Right off the port, place is awesome. Typical raunchy/party place but the crew working makes it special. The Canteritos are awesome, best souvenir from the trip. Ceviche was also quite solid and was a great mix floor the amount of beer. Way better than Senor Frogs & Margharitaville.

The taste of guacamole and chips is unforgettable. The atmosphere and friendly staff are wonderful. So fun they made the guacamole at the table next to us. Definitely the place worth visiting especially if you enjoy the ocean view.

The atmosphere at this place was amazing. The staff was accommodating and kind. The price for what we got was ridiculous. 1 beer and 1 frozen drinks with tip $28.00. This is mainly because this is right outside the ships dock in the Porta Maya area. All prices for shops here are overly inflated because of the port. The same items down at Centro are half the cost. I enjoyed the view but that will not bring me back again.

We went there to watch the sunset, and while waiting we had fish nachos, and a drink. Prices are reasonable, it's nice to sit right on the beach and watch the sunset, but walking along the beach is a bit of down side, because there is a lot of seaweed piled up,which doesn't look very inviting, but still had a good time.

Such a cool experience. Loved the food! Crab is amazing and they have live music and there was even a crocodile swimming 30 feet from where we were eating!

Alberto's- "The Best Tail" you can get in Cozumel, Mexico! I hope it's as good as it was in 2015 when I return to this wonderful island in 2026. The ceviche as an appetizer was fresh an spot on. The cooked fish was excellent and likely caught that morning or perhaps 1 day prior... perfectly prepared. Then the crab- Best I have ever had! I hope this kitchen holds up as I will definitely go back to the best food I ever had on this beautiful isle! If you're exploring Cozumel, I highly recommend this place as a stop!

Beautiful place to view the sunset. However they were cranking MTV when quiet was much more appropriate. I asked 4 times to turn down but they didn’t. And we were the only ones there. Food was just ok. Everything was loaded with onions that overpowered all flavour. Chicken tacos were way over done. Smell of old seaweed didn’t help. Please LISTEN to your customers!!!

The mixed fajitas and grilled salmon with pasta and vegetables were delicious. The drinks were generously sized; we had mint lemonade, which was delightful.

Food here is terrible. Ordered the Enchiladas and Chilaquiles which amounted to corn chips and tortillas covered in cheap tomato sauce and plastic cheese. I’ve made better Mexican at home. Also expect tourist prices for it too. Don’t eat here.

Ordered Fish tacos, fish itself was nice the taco needed more flavour. Also ordered seperate chips which were good but overall was an average meal. Definitely not worth $35 (USD) for tacos chips and two soft drinks.

Breakfast was good. They brought us complimentary sweet bread to go with our coffee while we were waiting on our food. The waiter was very attentive offered us more coffee suggested other drinks. Prices were affordable we will be coming back to this establishment.

Great place near the ferry station. They have a patio and air conditioned area. The service was great, and all servers were friendly. The restaurant was nice inside and clean. I came here to meet some family and have some beers a small bite. We had the ceviche and guacamole, both where good and now I will have to return and try more of their food.

Stopped here for my second visit on a cruise. It was so good the 1st time that I came straight here from the port. It did not disappoint! I had the shrimp fajitas and they were amazing. My wife had the chicken burrito and it was also very good. The guacamole is so fresh and delicious. Prices are as expected in a tourist area. Service is exceptional. If we're in Cozumel again, we'll be eating at Palmeras.

Close to the port so has the tourist feel but no problems there. Great friendly service and great food/drinks. Ronaldo made good recommendations (fish was very fresh). They have some spicy salsa too. And to top it off great view and lovely 80s/90s music. Youll like the Music too.

We spent one night in Cozumel to fly out from there and ended up at The Thirsty Cougar two days in a row. Great music and the view of the ocean is lovely. Food & drinks were great. Ivan took care of us both times. He was a fun and attentive server! He recommended the blackened fish and it did not disappoint. I would request Ivan again. Very memorable place to visit, enjoyed the vibes!

I have been coming here every year for at least 15 years. Everyone loves the giant frozen margaritas; and they are delicious in all sorts of real fruit flavors. My favorite is the Cadillac on the rocks though. The ceviche is hands down the best I have ever had. It’s so fresh and expertly cut for the best ceviche you will ever eat. The chips are addictive and the guacamole is so creamy. The views are some of the best along the main road and the prices are very reasonable.

Right across the water with a great views and drinks to match! Their drinks are a production, look and taste great (and they cost so too) It’s our 2nd time there and we love going there for a special treat. Their nachos were good too, a small portion, but great!

Incredible vibes, even better margaritas. We had the blended peanut butter and iced avocado margaritas made by Carlos, and I can honestly say they were the best margaritas i’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

AMAZING food. I’ve been lucky enough to have visited Buenos Aires and I think the food here was as good, if not better. We had the parrilla that serves 2/4 and we ate A LOT with plenty of leftovers. Everything was delicious, I highly recommend it and would totally go back when I’m in the island again.

Very nice restaurant near our hotel. A choice of different cuts of beef (though none seemed to be Argentinian), mixed grill, burgers etc. We liked that they served the salad leaf/tomatoes/onion separate from the burger itself. They definitely knew how to cook their beef, we asked for rare and it was indeed rare. Service was friendly, our waiter suggested the outside skirt after listening to what we wanted and we were happy with it. A good address.

I have no idea how good the steaks, or even the other entrees are at Del Sur. See, the problem is that the savory empanadas are really tasty... and the dessert empanadas (dark chocolate, dulce de leche, and amazing Nutella) may be even better. Pair them with a drink or two from their capable bar staff and you've got a great meal that's different from the usual, and a short walk from the square.

Burgers are amazing! Thick juicy and cooked to the temperature you’d like- we’ve ordered delivery multiple times for the burgers and each time consistently cooked to perfection. Another plus is in their takeout packaging procedures- they put the lettuce, tomato and onion on the side- no soggy burger! Just tried the beef empanadas and they were fantastic! Highly recommend- can’t wait to try the chorizo next time! We ordered through What’s App- super easy , fast,friendly and efficient!

Wow this place absolutely incredible!! Bryan was our server and had great English, he got us everything we needed. The chips and salsa was so good and they were the best handmade tortilla chips ever. The tacos were incredible, we loved their refried beans. The churros were also handmade and very warm and delicious. Definitely recommend!

This was a good place to go for food! Not for smoothies though, the smoothie didn't taste like fresh / ripe fruit and was disappointing. They played mostly American music and charged us extra for tortillas and guacamole with the fajitas I ordered which felt strange since I am used to having them included. The tortillas were very fresh and good though and it was nice to see them preparing our meals!

Awesome spot with top-notch food and a super cool vibe. We rolled in a bit after the dinner rush, but the kitchen didn’t miss a beat—everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Margarita was grate but the food was 4/5, in the menu shrimps were describes as breaded but was just shrimps. Tacos with chicken didnt tasted good at all and was plain taco and chicken. In the bean sauce i found peace pof sausage. Was weird combo. Although, atmospehere is nice.

The place is charming and the waiter was attentive and friendly. The guacamole was good, as were the sauces, but the skirt steak was too salty and tasted weird, probably only meant for burritos or tacos not for the grill. The chicken fajitas was ok. What irritated and amused us at the same time was the way he discreetly added a 15% tip to the bill without our permission. And highlighted the total hoping we would not notice the tip/propina. I hesitated about confronting him, but decided to let it be seen his age. Just be careful not to add more tip unwittingly.

OK, so the food was OK. The guy on the corner pulling you in are pretty aggressive unnecessarily and the prices are high for everything around them. But what the hell we went in split fajitas and wished we’d really just gone down the street to the next place that we ate at the next day Because it was better and cheaper. On top of it all when they brought the bill they threw in a 15% service charge so look at your bill. I told him to take it off. if they hadn’t put it on I would’ve been tipping more than what they tried to add.

We stayed at an all inclusive resort in playa del Carmen, but ventured out to Cozumel for a change of pace. Came by this place and just had to stop. We were a party of 8 and he accommodated us quickly in the dead heat of the day! Makes the best margaritas ever!!!

Great authentic food…. This place was recommended by our taxi driver as the best in town and he was right. The first night we ordered the fajitas - Skirt Steak Fajita - Veggie Fajita - Machete Special Fajita (Skirt Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp) - Guacamole All the food was incredibly delicious… I tried the Machete Special Margherita as well with grenadine and it was like dessert; sooooo good. We returned the next day to get some guacamole and drinks for a small snack which was again absolutely delicious. We also decided to order the Skirt Steak Burrito to share which was alright, the steak was a little chewy which is why I gave this place 4-stars but the first nights meal was 5-stars.

For my second meal ever in Mexico ever I found this tacos pretty good. But after all a few days later I believe had much better tacos at different restaurant. The taste is oké but the meat is a bit dry. The portions are pretty big so that is an advantage.

Wonderful little Spot. Great for lunch, great for a casual dinner. Recommend the Garlic Shrimp and Pastor Tacos. Fun frozen drinks and very friendly staff. We will be back.

Our best meal in Cozumel, hands down. Not just the great food, but the experience. My Spanish is pretty bad, but we all had a lot of fun figuring it out, and in the end everything was amazing. from what I can tell this is a family business, and I think we ate in their back yard, it was awesome. the ceviche was great, the fried fish was great, the lobster was great, the entire operation was awesome. if you love seafood and want an authentic experience, this is your place. for those who go ( and you should) it took me a minute to figure out what to do when I arrived. the store front looks like the "order in front then sit down" places that are common around the Caribbean. just walk around to the right of the store front and there is table service in back. today there was live music which was really nice, not loud at all, just good ambiance. also, they take pesos, USD, and credit cards.

We had a great time at this little spot. We got there 2 hrs before closing but they didn’t rush us. The chef even came out and talked with us and asked us if we needed anything else. The ceviche was so fresh!! Must visit when you come.

Well worth the walk from downtown! Great fish, friendly staff and genuine atmosphere. We had the fried whole fish and the filet al gusto (Mexican style) — both excellent and generous portion sizes. Big recommend!

Everything was delicious and fresh. The fish tacos is a must. The service was fast, welcoming and extremely nice an efficient. I will repeat as many times as I can. Beware, they close at 1800 pm!

I don't want to bury the lede: I don't remember ever having better fish tacos than I had here. Yes, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the various sides - the fish soup (Saturdays only), the guacomola, the chips and salsa, the rice and salad, and the ceviche - were delicious, but for me the tacos (4 on the plate!) were the star! The owner has every reason to be proud of this place.

Our second time here, fried whole fish is excellent, better than ones we had at highly rated places. The Mexican style garlic butter conch is OMG amazing!! We walked there and the owner helped us called a taxi back.

You must stop here for tacos. It is located right outside the airport. We met the rental car representative here and, while we waited, we had tacos. They were the best tacos I have ever had, and I am married to a Mexican and lived in San Antonio for seven years, so I have enjoyed some exceptional tacos. These quickly became my favorite.

Wow! A limited menu and they do it well! So so good. A quick eat when near the airport. Made to order tacos and fresh guacamole and pico. We even purchased their taco sauce that they made and bottled for us as we were leaving. 10:10 recommend Diego’s Tacos with cheese

This is the best place to get tacos on the island. They are quick, clean, and high quality. No nickel and diming. Their salsas are great as well. Go here, don't worry about the other places.

Shrimp tacos - The shrimp is very tasty. Love the grilled onion. The corn tortillas is so awesome! The brown sauce is quite tangy and delicious. Watch out the green bottle. Very spicy! The freshest fish tacos I have in Cozumel! (I go to Cozumel frequently.) Lightly fried, tender, lightly seasoned; fresh lime and salsas were provided tableside. Well worth the walk across the street from the airport, and there is a taxi stand nearby.

This spot has the most incredible fish, tacos, and shrimp tacos, I mean they are unbelievably delicious. These folks have been operating just outside the entrance to the Cozumel airport for decades. So if you spend a lot of time here, then you know how to walk your baggage out of the airport and across the first street you come to and pass the car rental and on the right it’s not 200 yards from the airport terminal is this Diego’s taco spot. Plus, that’s where you pick up a cab that will charge you 3 to 5 dollars to take you where you want to go instead of the cartel taxi group at the airport. They charge you $35 each. Serious. So it’s awesome eating these inexpensive delicious treats knowing that you won this round. If you’ve never been there, you have to visit it. It’s generally open till I think about 3 PM. So don’t be late..🇲🇽🙏🇨🇦🌮

This place is exceptional, we went in here to shelter ourselves from the rain. I ordered the chicken mole but I recommend the pasta, and the protein salad. Also they have a variety of fresh desserts and the music and atmosphere earns this place another star

Just few blocks from the cruise terminal and one block away from Mega store. They have different options: burritos, tapas, burgers, pasta, salads as well as desserts. I ordered a blue cheeseburger. A bit heavy but really tasty. You can choose the ingredients for your burrito. Thanks for the amazing service.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The food was completely tasteless, and the drinks were just as bad — we couldn’t even finish them. To make things worse, the entire place had a strong smell, like a public restroom, which made it really hard to enjoy the meal. The service was also disappointing, with staff showing little interest in helping or making us feel welcome. Definitely not a place we would return to or recommend.

Great food. Excellent service. Vegetarian friendly, quick to accommodate vegan/plant based. One of the best on site vegan burgers ever. Portions are large, that includes the drinks, which were definitely fulled with liquor. We had vegetarian lasagna, veggie nachos, vegan burger, chicken wrap, mile high apple pie (packed with apples & vegan friendly), margareta, pinecolada, water, cranberry juice, guacamole. Great dessert selection. They are on site made too. Nice decore. Clean. English/Spanish. Highly recommend.

After our first visit, we were there every morning for breakfast unless we had a morning boat dive. The best menu for our breakfast and lunch!! I'm particular about eggs being thoroughly cooked, and the chef got them consistently done to perfection. Fresh fruit with each plate was a perfect addition to breakfast. Iced tea with fresh lime was our beverage of choice. Excellent, welcoming and accommodating service, impeccably clean restaurant, excellent menu and food presentation. I did not eat waffles/pancakes, but family members said they are excellent, and the syrup is incredible. It is a wonderful thing when traveling to find a place to eat that you know you'll have a great meal, no matter what you choose on the menu. Thank you to everyone at Rock 'n Java!! Already missing the food and hospitality, but this will be our go-to spot when we return to beautiful Cozumel. 💜

Superb! We went yesterday/Sunday ~4:30pm to try their Happy Hour: 2x1 drinks. Lovely wall murals, service is friendly & fast. Portions are huge & easily shareable. High speed wifi is available (ask your waiter for the pw) & they accept credit cards without extra charges (note: I find it strange & less likely I will return to the places that charge fees esp when places are charging close to US prices for meals). 1 small bathroom (toilet & sink) but they keep it clean, the restaurant was clean as well. • Bahama Mama & Long Island Ice Tea (190 pesos) - advertised as 22oz drink with 4 shots - both excellent • Steak & Eggs (230 pesos) - so good ❤ steak was juicy & tender, definitely go back to share this large plate again! • Large Tuna Salad (170 pesos) - the green salad was drier than I expected & the ranch was super thick.. maybe it's better with vinaigrette/italian dressing

Was busy for lunch so I was lucky to get a table. Good menu options especially with my favourite dish burrito. You can order with pork chicken or beef. Fresh guacamole sour cream and Pico de gallo sauce. A lot of Margherita cocktail. Little pricey the cocktail but very tasty. Waiter very friendly and fast service. Coffee too was very good. I'll be back

This is a staple!! We have been coming here for several years. It’s a must-have whenever we are on the island. The tacos, margaritas and guacamole are some of the best on the island. Even better, the family that owns it makes you feel at home and as if you’re family friends. The service is top notch and everyone there is SO KIND. Also, we love Rigo!!!

Food and mojitos were good but our experience wasn't the hype I had read about. My husband and I shared sopes de pollo and El Foco. I liked the dough of the sopes the best. The meat in both dishes could have been better quality. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Monday evening for dinner: we were the only ones there for most of the time and the staff was friendly but didn't pay us much attention. We sat in the back, which is open to the outside and I was eaten up by the mosquitoes. The credit card machine struggled with the internet, so I might recommend paying in cash.

A must stop while in Cozumel, Mexico 🇲🇽, the Tacos al pastor and the arrachera were fabulous. Walk all the way to the back of the restaurant and it's a different world.

Great food, we tried the El Foco Taco Special and chicken Tacos and both had good flavor and spices. House Margarita was good as well. We also enjoyed the Tortilla Chips which were very nice unlike the store brands/bars we get in US. Now coming to the restaurant itself, we were initially reluctant to go inside as it looked like broken/unkept. They can definitely maintain the floor and sign boards etc better. It looked like a family run restaurant and worth trying.

Delicious tacos, amazing staff, many vegetarian options! We tried all of the vegetarian tacos (the rajás and vegetarianos were my favorites).The margaritas were great too, we had the tequila and the mezcal flavors and both were fantastic!

We were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived! The croissant was absolutely delicious, as was everything else. At first, it looked like the place might be closed, but thankfully it wasn't! The entrance is a bit discreet, so don’t hesitate to step inside. On top of that, the prices are more than reasonable. A great surprise and definitely a spot worth visiting!

I found the hidden gem, certainly a place that doesn’t need my review. The place very full of locals and tons of charm all the while excellent service. Perfectly cooked omelet. Simply everything perfect

We were surprised to have such a good pasta: really al dente! It are basic italian dishes alfredo, cacio e pepe,…: then your cooking has to be really good to have a good experience, which was the case! The atuna tartare was not special: too large pieces. Tables inside are not cosy, outside sitting is ok. Wines are expensive but good. We went back during our stay because we were satisfied.

Eating Italian when in Mexico seems wrong, especially when in an island like Cozumel. But, after sadly learning that none of the other restaurants at the Intercontinental served any fresh local fish, we decided to give Alfredo Di Roma a try and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Host Marlene was friendly and welcoming, the crissini were crispy, the focaccia authentic and José Ramon offered spectacular service, including asking the chef for a variation of their signature risotto to include local shrimp. It turned out excellent! Eating here became the surprise culinary highlight of our stay. Make sure to take a good look at the XXL wine list, too and maybe try a Mexican (sparkling) wine. The signature Pasta Alfredo dish was very close to the Roman version created for American visitors.

We dined here twice had four dishes and found the food quite good service excellent. Don't listen to these one star complainers here this is a mid-price Italian restaurant of good quality. I recommend the arugula salad the rigatoni and the fresh fish. The only quibble found was the tomato sauce on the rigatoni was a little salty.

Pretty average Italian food at very premium prices. Not bad exactly, just lacking in the magic that usually comes with simple Italian fare. There are several excellent italian places a short drive away in Cozumel town that are literally half the price and serve better food. Service was good but felt very by the book, not particularly personal.

For the love of God do not go here, everything is microwave food where they taste level that is less than banquet brand frozen meals. The salt level is so strong it hurts to eat. It is very very obvious there’s no cooking going on in the kitchen. The waiters are super nice but they know it’s bad because they don’t look you in the eye when they set the plates down nor when they take them back to throw them away uneaten. They don’t even ask you if it was good because they already know. We ordered the lasagna, salmon, eggplant and had maybe 1-2 bites of each. Forgot to add - the Mexican and Mediterranean places at the hotel are fortunately both pretty solid but this place is no good.

Well, I was torn to go or not to go as there’re either very good or very poor reviews. So I took the risk (and probably shouldn’t have). We’re guests at the Intercontinental for 10 days and tried all their restaurants, the Italian wants to be the upper class one but they aren’t. The whole service felt artificial, not authentic. The reason might be that we’re in Mexico and not Italy or at least Europe. The same probably happens for 80% of Mexican restaurants in Europe. But we’ve been there for the food but unfortunately this didn’t convince either. Quality of food (and we’ve chosen rather simple Italian dishes) is average, definitely not worth the price tag. We’re Swiss and have some awesome Italian restaurants in our country and we’re close to Italy and also know the originals very well - what we’ve seen here is not close at all to a good Italian restaurant. Maybe it’s enough for US tourists but it will disappoint Europeans who value a good Italian restaurant. Anyway, we tried (assumed) and know now 🙃

This was the best restaurant I ate at while in Cozumel. It's located inside a hotel and a little far from the downtown but the food is totally worth the trip. I recommend the calamari, eggplant parmesan and the salmon. The service was excellent, it was a very romantic place to spend an evening. Amazing Italian food!

Nice place to visit with a funny old man preparing the food. We ordered tabboleh, hummus, baba ghanosh, kafta, tacos and kibbeh, everything was good. You can sit outside under the tree and have you food. Nice place to visit and it is worth to meet this old man Lewis Shakkor whenever to visit Cozumel.

A hidden gem with great labanese food!! Everything was cooked to perfection!! Highly recommend the fried meatballs, falafel, stuff cabbage, hummus salad, kofta and many more. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Cozumel. Also they just recently renovated and there’s an option to sit inside with the AC.

My family of 3 and I went and were delighted by everything we got (taboulleh, hummus, grilled chicken tacos, crema de coco). Our server was the owner and told us stories about how he adapted his Lebanese grandmother's recipes. We sat on the porch under grape vines with a breeze. We love Arabic food and were very pleased.

Insanely good food! The falafel was the best I’ve ever had and the tacos (beef and pork) were beyond description. They even had outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs. A must try if you’re in town!

You’ve got to come here for the food. Lebanese tastes in Cozumel Mexico… it’s simply something you have to try. It is authentic Lebanese tastes with the falafel, yogurt, pastries and more, you do not want to miss this place. Spartan in it’s environment, the food is what will make the impact. The secret to eating great in Cozumel is to move away from the touristy areas. Away from the touristy areas, you’ll find delightfully tasty morsels like this. Now, what I appreciate about Arabian Tacos is the natural and authentic flavor of the Lebanese tastes with a hint of fusion.

This place is a must visit! The owner's daughter is very friendly, and the food was incredible. They use the grapevine leaves for their dolmas and their fresh herbs are a nice touch and shows the quality of their food. The chicken tacos were some of the best I've had and the tortillas were perfect.

Excellent place for seafood! This restaurant is tucked away from the tourist area of Cozumel, but worth the trip! The food is always on point. The empanadas are fantastic, and huge! The ceviche is very good, and my favorite dish is the Minerva tostada which is a mixture of shrimp and octopus, piled with avocado with a delicious spicy sauce! They also serve beer and liquor. They accept credit cards, but charge a 4% fee.

Very good seafood. We came here twice in one week. If they didn’t only open at lunch, we’d probably be here even more times. What we ordered: grilled octopus, Minerva cerviche (mix of shrimp and fried octopus in a spice cerviche sauce, and gobernador tacos. The octopus and cerviche were the winning dishes. So good. El Pezcozon is airy and spacious with plenty of seating.

Highly recommended to us but didn't quite live up to the hype. Ordered Ceviche mixto and the octopus and shrimp were still pretty tough and hard to bite through as if they hadn't set enough in the like juice. Ticket came out pricey for the area as we paid over a $100 for 4 people. (Some dishes $25+ each) I'd say best things about restaurant was the sauces (garlicy salsa, and a sweeter salsa were fantastic!) and the wait staff was very friendly and responsive.

YOU MUST GET THE MINERVA!! My favorite dish in the world, and consistently good every time. Especially good for divers after a morning of diving. 10/10 recommend. Also the best michelada I’ve found so far on the island.

Absolutely incredible food!! Everything looked delicious so we way over-ordered so we could try everything and it was heaven!! We got lobster empanadas, they were amazing, seafood soup, it was wonderful, shrimp al ajillo, so yummy, and a fish with onions, peppers and garlic butter, OMG.

Delicious experience! The grilled fish was perfectly seasoned, the guacamole fresh and creamy, and the shrimp ceviche packed a zesty punch. Loved the comforting lime chicken soup so flavorful and satisfying!

Food was okay. We got coconut shrimp, nachos and drinks as an afternoon snack. Coconut shrimps were fat and crispy. Nachos were very simple: tortillas, cheese, frijolles. Drinks were quite good albeit quite sweet. Overpriced for what it is but it is a tourist spot. I think you could do better if you search but it’s a good spot for food when you need it at a great location.

It is just “OK”, nothing special. Nice venue as a restaurant, but the service was pretty poor to be honest & it is NOT good value for money. It is pretty EXPENSIVE for what you actually get. Nothing in the food stood out to me at all! I had their Shrimps Mexicana & would probably been better off just getting some Shrimp Ceviche & saving myself a lot of money. My recommendation, take a few photos, find somewhere cheaper that will probably be better & eat there! An expensive learning curve this one for mediocre! Disappointed from what I had seen & read.

This is an absolutely beautiful place! We got fish ceviche, which was made with grouper and we got an order of fish tacos again with grouper. We also got some Mexican ice cream, one beer and a bottle of water and the total is only $30!

I was walking around with my significant other and we were suddenly hungry. This seemed like the spot that would treat us right. Upon entering, it was impressive with a tropical feel. We were immediately seated at a table. I looked at the menu to see what was offered. From the Bebidas / Drinks section, I ordered a Margarita. In Pesos, it was 154. In USD, it was 7. From the Especialidades / Specialties section, I went with the Camarón Mission. In Pesos, it was 440. It was Mission Shrimp. In USD, it was 20. From the Lunch section, we ordered Tacos (Pollo, Res o Pescado). In Pesos, it was 220 and we chose Res. It was Tacos (Chicken, Beef or Fish). In USD, it was 10 and we chose Beef. We were given free chips and salsa. They were excellent. The salt and pepper at the table each amplified the flavor. We were given a free refill on them that was just as excellent the same way. The Margarita had a zing to it. It was flavorful and went down easy. I enjoyed it. The Camarón Mission wasn’t too good. Everything on the plate wasn’t impressive. On the menu, it stated that If You Don’t Like It, You Don’t Pay It. I wasn’t charged for it, so I definitely respected that concept. The Tacos came with a quantity of three. They were excellent and so was everything else on the plate. I wanted to try one more item, since my meal didn’t work out. From the Entradas section, I ordered a Guacamole. In Pesos, it was 66. In the Entrees section, it was Guacamole. In USD, it was 3. The Guacamole came out fast and it was an excellent size for the price. It was certainly enjoyable. The Tip’s For Music group was decent. I thought it was weird that I was approached at my table by one of the members for a tip, though. The service was great throughout my visit. I didn’t have any issues. Overall, this was an awesome spot to stop at. If I’m in the area again, I might explore the menu more. Date of visit: 16/10/2024

We have been to Cozumel 16 times and have never tried La Mission. Absolutely, loved it. My husband ordered the Seafood platter (fish, lobster, and shrimp), and I had the Coconut Shrimp. Margarita and Piña Colada. Highly recommend the dishes we had. We will be back. Loved the atmosphere!

Nice spot for lunch. Food is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice with the trees. Didn’t like feeling pressured to tip the musicians but other than that not a bad spot - there’s just a lot of other places in Cozumel I would recommend above this one.

Amazing beach club with zero entry fee—don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Our cab driver tried to steer us toward an all-inclusive spot, claiming there was a fee here, but we trusted our gut and headed to the Money Bar. Glad we did. The water is crystal clear and sargassum-free, perfect for snorkeling or just a swim. The vibe is super chill, with both tables and lounge chairs available, and even though it was lively, it never felt overcrowded. Shoutout to Pino, our server—he was absolutely on point the entire time, keeping our drinks coming without us even having to ask. Not sure why others have complained about service, because ours was excellent from start to finish. All in all, a perfect place to unwind by the water. Highly recommend!

I wasn't sure what to expect at first as I've heard The Money Bar had a bad rap but this was where we boarded our snorkeling trip. The restaurant is like a large open gazebo type place with bar and amazing food. Food was expensive but portions are large and one can use the facilities to swim/ snorkel, shower and use the restrooms. There are lounging chairs and umbrellas as well. Menu has a wide range of food choices, along with drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. The rocky beach at both sides of the restaurant are public. The restaurant has a small dock which Top Cozumel Tours company uses for its boat tours. Great to take the tour (we booked through Viator) and have a meal, swim/snorkel, and then change at the Money Bar. The service was wonderful and people were super friendly. Enrique was very attentive and friendly. Bb Easy to hail a taxi here if going back to the ferry ports or anywhere on the island. The Money Bar and Top Cozumel Tours are highly recommended!!! 👌

Like others said, extreme unprofessional waiters, pushing for tips and lie in your face. Refuse to call a taxi and lie in your face said he did call. Also lie about taxi fair price range. Other employee such as hosts are very nice and kind, would help you get taxi. This place has shower and restroom, you can also cook your catch/fish here for 200 peso per fillet. It will come with fry and chip, chip on the other hand is really good! lol Be ware of strange service, 90 peso for water and they do not tell you when you ask they just bring it. Also double check your receipt they double charge water for me 180 peso for water...can you believe it..... It seems every thing is outdoor no ac. I believe both dollar and peso are accepted here. As for credit cards I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND you to use it here.

This place definitely lives up to its name! It would be a great place to hang out with friends! The food and drinks are very pricey, though, even for breakfast. The snorkeling right off the shore is great! There’s a nice little raised beach area over to the side with free loungers and umbrellas.

If I were solely rating the food and location, I would give 5 stars; however, unfortunately, the service didn’t meet that same level of standard. Let’s start with the pros: the location is stunning! There is a beautiful patio where you can dine right in front of the ocean. Want to take a dip? No problem—there’s a staircase into the water where many people swim and snorkel, and it’s very clear (no seaweed!). There are also a few beach beds for you to relax and soak up the sun. While it’s not an actual beach, the area they’ve recreated with sand and beach chairs works well. The food was delicious—we ordered the grilled red snapper and it was big enough to feed two people. Where things took a downturn was the service. They had a two-for-one offer running, and our group of four ordered Aperol spritzes. Instead of bringing one drink per person (and the second round later), they brought eight all at once. Not only did that feel excessive and wasteful, but the drinks were watered down. I’d much rather pay full price for a well-made cocktail than compromise on quality for the sake of a deal. What made the experience worse was the server’s insistence that we leave a 30% tip, despite the lackluster service. My message to the management of this lovely establishment is to be more conscious of the small details that can impact the overall guest experience. The setting and food are wonderful—but the service should enhance, not detract from, the experience.

We came to Cozumel on cruise. Didn't have our snorkel gear with us, so stopped at Money Bar to rent gear and snorkel reef. Great location to snorkel, but the gear was not good at all. So great place to snorkel but bring your own gear. Staff was very attentive.

We stopped to take pictures here. The two people seated in the shade never even spoke to us. But after taking a few pictures and seeing empty chairs we thought we would sit in what looked like an playground. The two people sitting in the shade approached us with a menu and asked if we would order from the restaurant, we were shocked because there was no restaurant, just a single swing and two empty tables. We said no to food and we're told the area was for people who wanted to order. We would have tipped kindness understanding the hustle but demanding we order or leave results in our saying bye bye babe!
