Located in the Hotel Zone, Mayan Monkey Hostel is a vibrant waterfront hotel and hostel that offers a funky bar, communal kitchen, and an outdoor pool. Formerly known as Senor Frogs Hostel, it's just a short distance from Playa Chac Mool. The hostel has a lively and quirky decor with an artistic theme reflected in the dorms and private rooms. There's no curfew, so guests can enjoy late-night fun without worries.
Spent 7 days there and had an amazing time! Staff was always friendly, gracias Rocio! Food at the bar was also good, easy to meet other travelers at the bar where everyday there’s happy hour and people enjoying drinks, music and the pool. Also in a real good area right next to the best bars and clubs like Coco Bongo, and an amazing beach just across the street!

Amazing hostel with the best vibes! Just stayed at this place and had the best time! It's not your average hostel – the atmosphere is just incredible. I met travelers from all over the world here. We hung out, shared stories, and got the coolest tips for different destinations. It's so true what they say: there are no strangers here, only friends you haven't met yet! The staff are all super friendly and helpful. A huge shout-out to Dave! He's such a legend – always happy, always smiling, and went out of his way to help everyone. All the travelers loved him! If you're looking for a fun, social, and unique place to stay, look no further. 10/10 recommend!

The place itself is clean and that's something that takes priority when I travel. The food they serve here is horrible..I got in from a very, very long flight so while I was waiting to check on my room i ordered a pizza.. BAD CHOICE.. it was horrible. The breakfast was horrible and I paid in advance..like absolutely disgusting. In fact the entire time I was in town the food was just disgusting everywhere.. Would I stay again? No, because you're not allowed to have visitors at all unless you pay for them to hang out in your room. Again, clean, the noise level was ok cause my room was by the library so it was ok. The single room was cool but the furniture and my sheet had stains on them.. the towels were so hard OMGGG they were hard.. Bring your own and bring your own face towels. For some reason I got real sick yesterday right after I ate this horrible breakfast enchilada..I can't believe they think this is $12 worth of food

Great place to chill out, meet new people and party till night. One of things which makes this place great is the staff are super friendly, out going and join in the fun late at night, beer pong, table tennis, you name it! Many of the night staff were amazing, one whose name comes to mind was Esme - good english, super fun - Gracias Amiga! Hostel is also very located so you can conveniently visit the best sites in Cancun (i.e. adventure parks, beaches, etc) and right in the party zone so you visit pretty much all clubs to!
Sameer C — Google review
Really nice vibe here. The food is good, drinks are strong, and there’s good atmosphere for meeting people in the bar area. They also managed to get great location in the hotel area with good access to the beach and close to the main bars. Andy is the best and Rocio also

Spent a week at the Mayan Monkey, a brilliant, social hostel with a welcoming vibe! The staff were very warm and hosted a range of fun activities. I met some fantastic travellers at the hostel and made some wonderful friends. The location is beautiful, super close to the beach and other amenities. Can't wait to visit again soon.

If you’re coming to Cancun, stay in the Hotel Zone. I stayed in the city, and it really isn’t worth it. The Hotel Zone is cleaner, safer, and right by the ocean. So I moved to this hostel and I think it’s most likely the best hostel in the whole of Cancun. This hostel is run by people who’ve clearly been backpackers themselves. The rooms are decent—spacious, with curtains, a PowerPoints, and a light for each bed. Bathrooms are clean, and the whole place is well maintained. There’s a nice common area, a bar with an indoor–outdoor flow, and a good pool with plenty of shade. That said, there are a few major downsides you should know: 1. Constant loud music — from morning to night. It’s so loud I couldn’t hear my phone or watch videos. Guests complained, but staff said management refuses to turn it down. It completely ruins the relaxing atmosphere. I would honestly drop the rating from 10 out of 10 to 7 out of 10 because there is no way I could relax each day and I just wanted to leave the Hostel to get some quietness. 2. Kitchen setup — fridge too small and lacks basics like mugs and cutlery. I think they want guests to buy food from their bar and restaurant area instead? 3. Safety issue — the pathway from the hostel to town has alligators right beside it. I had one about 1.5 meters from me—a full three meters long—and the staff just giggled when I told them. They don’t warn guests at all. 4. Police danger — in four days, four hostel guests had rifles pointed at them by local police and one was forced to withdraw around $500 USD from ATM. The hostel should absolutely warn visitors about this risk.
L P — Google review
Clean and freindly with good ac. If you book through hostel world be awar they will double charge you the deposit saying it went to hostel world not them. The area is very arty party which wasn't by cup of tea but was easy to get to from Cancun airport and was easy to get a bus into town and move on.

Nomads Hotel, Hostel & Rooftop Pool Cancun is a vibrant and informal accommodation option in the heart of the city. The hotel boasts flamboyant decor with murals adorning the walls and sheer pink interiors, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a lively stay in the party-centric city of Cancun.
A great place, and the service is incredible. The staff are amazing and always willing to help. The rooms are good and all the employees are very friendly. Pablo, the night shift guy, is incredible. He's very good at chess and helps the locals with any questions they may have.

I’m a solo female traveler and overall had a good experience here since I only stayed one night and arrived around 3 a.m. The room itself was fine, but I want to share something that happened when I was leaving for my flight. I asked the front desk to call me a taxi, and the driver seemed familiar with the staff, so I assumed he was someone they usually use. He told me he was dropping me at Terminal 3, but instead left me at the wrong terminal. After handing me my bags, he kind of steered me toward an airport worker. I noticed the two of them nodded to each other before the worker led me inside. Once inside, the worker asked what airline I was flying and then told me I was in the wrong terminal. He spoke in a way that seemed meant to make me panic, then told me to hurry because maybe my taxi was still outside. By the time I ran back out, the taxi was already gone. Then the worker and others started pressuring me to pay 500 pesos to get to the “right” terminal. I refused and told them I didn’t care if I missed my flight, and only then did they back off. I never paid, but it felt very much like a setup to try and scam me. Whether or not the hostel was aware, it’s clear the taxi driver purposely left me at the wrong terminal, and the nod between him and the worker makes me believe they were working together. Advice to other travelers: If you need a ride to the airport via taxi, double-check your terminal and stay vigilant. Don’t let anyone rush or distract you, and be cautious with the taxis arranged here.

This hostel was truly amazing. Couldn’t recommend it more. I was there only for one night before my flight, but definitely coming back on my next trip to Cancun. Beds were comfortable, rooms and general areas super clean. They also offered free towels! Their volunteer Matt approached me at the pool to invite to their daily activities. Sadly I couldn’t join as I had to rush to get my flight, but he showed me some pictures and it looks really fun! I will definitely be back for it.

I had a great experience at Nomads. The dorms are very clean and so good compared to other Hostels. I really enjoyed the activities. Especially the Taco Tours with the amazing Matt helped me to find the best food in Cancun. And the beach activities with Lauren have been so much fun. Of course Enie's morning yoga classes were an amazing start of the day. Really enjoyed it here.
Leonardo G — Google review
This hostel is amazing! Spent a couple of days here and the free activities were so much fun! Everything is very well planned and I felt save all the time. Close to the ADO Bus station and Parque de las Palapas. Highly recommended for your stay in Cancun! Charging Ports close to the bed and big Lockers with Plugs as well!
Enie — Google review
I stayed here for a few nights and I had such a pleasant time!! In the morning Enie makes yoga a fun time hungover haha. Went to the beach with Lauren and the vibe was even better. Then in the evening Matt just brings the party to the taco tour even in the rain!! 10/10 rating it’s a must stay :).

If you're seeking an exciting and budget-friendly accommodation option in Cancun, Mezcal Hostel might be the ideal choice for you. Situated just 3 km from Cancun Beach, this lively and colorful hostel provides a convenient base for exploring the area. The hostel offers practical mixed-sex and female-only dorms equipped with Wi-Fi, sinks, and bunk beds. Known as one of the best party hostels in Cancun, it welcomes guests with a relaxed atmosphere.
I’ve tested several hostels in Cancún, and Mezcal Hostel is by far my favorite! The atmosphere is much more authentic and warm compared to the bigger hostels. The staff is extremely welcoming, always ready to help. I really enjoyed the guacamole and tacos tour activity. The place is clean, well-located, and just a stone’s throw from public transport. Special mention for the pool. I highly recommend it !!

Hostel Natura is a charming and eco-friendly retreat nestled in the vibrant Hotel Zone of Cancun, just moments away from stunning beaches and lively nightlife. This laid-back property features a lovely terrace adorned with hammocks, offering breathtaking lagoon views where you can unwind after a day of exploration. With its inviting guest kitchen and dining area, Hostel Natura provides an ideal setting for travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation.
A very cozy little hostel with all you need. A cozy terrace on top and a little kitchen. The rooms had what we needed as backpackers, and the bathroom was fine and clean. The service was so good, the staff was so friendly and gave us some tips for our trip. Under the hostel is a little restaurant, we had breakfast here and it was so good! Definitely worth a visit!
Lærke C — Google review
The place itself was okay but with a lot of noise. Great location near the beach and AC was decent. However, the volunteers more or less didn't really mind including everybody, especially if you weren't fluent in Spanish. The breakfast wich was composed of eggs, toasts and waffle lacked fruits and I had the feeling when asking for it of demanding a favor to whoever would do it. No volunteer was assigned specifically to making it. Would not recommend.
Jeremie 1 — Google review
The hostel is a cozy small place it has all that you need, a bed to sleep in, large showers, clean toilets and a mini kitchen to your own food. The staff was really nice and talkative. And there is a small food place right under the hostel, they make some pretty good food. The location is really good it’s located in the hotel zone.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Had a great 5 night stay. Volunteers are very lovely and helpful. Conveniently located 2 mins from the beach, 24hr pharmacy and burrito shop downstairs. Rooftop patio and wonderful company. The music from downstairs was hardly noticeable once inside the hostel. As of Sept 2/24. Would return. Highly recommended.
Max S — Google review
I love this hostel. It is clean, everything works, and just steps from Chac Mool beach. I will visit again. This was my 2nd stay. It changed ownership recently. It will be cuter as they are renovating it. It is close to everything. 3 little restaurants, right downstairs. Perfect.
PATRIZIA G — Google review
The best hostel I've stayed in in Cancun. Everything is close by: the beach, restaurants, and all services. Very clean.
Mohammed B — Google review
Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a hostel, so it can be noisy depending on who is in your room. They also play music on the rooftop in the evenings. I brought earplugs and slept fine, but I fall asleep pretty easily. If you’re a light sleeper, you might have trouble. I stayed for a week, and I don’t think you can find anything cheaper in the hotel zone. Very close to the beach, and the restaurant downstairs was good, plus you get 20% off at the restaurant if you’re staying at the hostel. They also provide free breakfast every morning. There are many other restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. The rooftop is a great place to hang out! If you’re on a budget, this is a great option!
Moonpi78 — Google review
Stayed here two nights in a private room with a friend and my dog, as it seems to be one of the few places that's pet-friendly. Private room was on the front side of the hostel and as such there was some noise from the traffic, as well as the bar nextdoor that plays music through the night. The airconditioning worked fine. Room was a bit small and simple, especially considering the price of 77 USD or 1400 pesos a night. There also wasn't wifi available in the room, though they gave us the option to change to another room with wifi. For the dog they charged an additional cleaning fee of 25 USD or 450 pesos, which they dropped after the dog behaved calmly and hygienically, which was sure appreciated! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was good and stable inside as well as on the roof terrace. The roof terrace has an open kitchen with some seats and hammocks; ideal to chill despite the noise from traffic and the downstair bar. Breakfast is included and quite simple: eggs with toast and a plain waffle with syrup. There's also coffee. Bathrooms were good. Lots of toilets and showers available and shared. The shower had stable warm water. Location of the hostel is great with the beach two minutes walking away, as well as a nearby supermarket, small shops, clubs etc. All in all a good experience. The hostel was more expensive than I'm used to, but it seemed that most places around here are expensive to Mexican standards. Everything was reliable and enjoyable! Thank you for the nice experience!

Coworking space
Located in the heart of downtown Cancún, Hostel Selina Cancún offers a vibrant and trendy stay for travelers. The property features simple dorms and rooms, an outdoor pool, a shared kitchen, and an onsite restaurant. Guests can enjoy free WiFi, parking, and access to a co-working space. The hostel is within walking distance of the bus station and Cristo Rey Church. It's also conveniently located near attractions such as Tulum and Riviera Maya.
We had a great stay here! The outdoor area with the pool is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. The kitchen is cleverly designed with a mirrored layout, so multiple people can cook and use it at the same time without any problem. Our room was clean and comfortable – no mold (which we’ve unfortunately experienced in other hostels). We even had a small balcony, plus complimentary shampoo and shower gel. The rooms are cleaned daily, which was a big plus. The location is perfect: just one minute from the bus station, with lots of restaurants nearby and a lovely market right next door. The price is excellent for what you get. Overall, we really can’t complain and would absolutely recommend this hostel!
Dunja O — Google review
Great location for check in immediately after getting off ADO in Cancun Centro. Otherwise pretty decent. The outdoor areas were relaxed and clean when I visited. Rooms were passable and about the same quality you'd find at a motel 8 in the US.
Tim C — Google review
I used to love staying at Selina, but this has a new owner and there is no Cowork. There was a beeping noise all night. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. I barely slept. Also is a bit run down and has stagnant energy. The app said $50 but somehow their local taxes managed to increase the price to $80. No water in the room. And the room I booked has a coffee machine but no coffee. Honestly is 2/5 for me, but I want to be nice. I hope the new owner takes this feedback and improves the place. Kitchen also smells. Shower is cold. Photos are definitely old / it’s way more run down now. Oh, the front desk guy was very kind, so that’s a plus.
Ashley O — Google review
At 2am two people started aggressively banging on our door and then used a key to enter our private room. When they realised people were in the room they quickly left, and when we checked out the next day the staff had no explanation for why these people had a key to our room. There was also no wifi and the lights stopped working. My friend and I were terrified to leave the room after that experience, and will not be returning.

Absolutely terrible service here. This is the worst stay I’ve ever had in any hostel, hotel, motel, etc. We had to change our reservation. I tried for over 3 weeks to get into contact with this company to change the reservation. None of their posted emails work, nor do any of the phones. By a whim I found their WhatsApp which took them quite a while to respond to. When trying to adjust the reservation, they said that we weren’t booked for the days that I have even though I have proof via confirmation emails. When I sent the screenshot, they blamed “the system changing the dates on them”. When we got there, we were excited to cool down in the pool… which was closed for cleaning. Fine. You have to close, but then offer a reduced rate because you are offering a reduced service. The worst part of the whole experience had to be the night. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you will not find it here. They were drilling, hammering, and throwing building materials from 9 PM (!) till our checkout at 4 AM. I didn’t sleep at all due to the noise. The rooms are in poor condition, and the water pressure is bad. There also isn’t a lot to do in the area. It’s safe enough, but otherwise, you won’t find too much variety. Avoid at all costs.

Hostel Ka'beh Cancun offers a range of simple dorms and private rooms, along with a cafe and a patio equipped with hammocks. With over ten years of experience, it has been recognized as Lonely Planet's top budget choice since 2009. The hostel is conveniently located near local transportation, cultural attractions, and amenities.
This was my first time traveling, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hostel was full of amazing connections, amazing people, and unforgettable moments. If you’re new to traveling, I highly recommend this place—you’ll feel welcomed right away by the friendly staff and the great community. Berg created an unreal experience for me. I honestly wouldn’t have had such a great time without him. He got me out of my shell and pushed me to meet new people, which made the whole trip so much more meaningful. Meeting the owner, Sam, was a highlight in itself. She’s super friendly, welcoming, and made sure the environment felt safe and fun. You could tell she genuinely cared—if anyone ever got into trouble, she had us covered. Sawyer was also incredible. She has this gift for creating experiences and bringing people together. On top of that, her storytelling made every night so much more fun and memorable. And Aiesha—she’s the reason I ended up having such a great time at the clubs. She made sure everyone was included, kept the energy high, and helped make the night unforgettable. Overall, this hostel gave me more than just a place to stay—it gave me an experience I’ll never forget. The people here made all the difference, and I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with them. Very safe

Not a really good experience to be honnest : it is way overpriced for what it is. Looks like quiet but it's a Party place. First they bring us in a dirty room, they finally change us to a room where beds were done... but bed sheets where full of suspicious stains and hair... we didn't slept in the bed sheets... To apologize they offer us 2 voucher for free shots... as we don't drink alcohol (especially in the morning) we tried to ask for anything else (juice, cola, water...), the guy laugh at me and told me no... it's a shot or nothing (at 8AM). Probably a nice place if you want to party hard but it's definitively not as quiet as it looks online and it's not super clean. I would not complain if it was not 91CAD a night, but for that price... i would at least expect clean bed sheets. You have a lot of other options for that price that are way worth it.

Super cute hostel, very friendly staff, and the perfect location! Love that there’s no checkout time, you get a free shot to take with someone new (a great way to meet future friends!), and minutes walk from the ADO station. David was great checking us in and explaining everything :)

We were genuinely surprised and disappointed with our stay at Ka’beh Hostel considering the number of good reviews left by previous guests. We chose this place largely based on reviews and the lovely looking photos of the pool, communal area etc. Please don’t be fooled by the nice photos of the pool area like we were; we arrived roasting and looking forward to a dip but the pool looked completely rotten. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They sold us a tour to see Chichén Itzá, but gave us false information about the tour, i.e., guaranteeing we would have minimum 2 hours at the site, that it would be the first stop of the day etc, that there was no stop at the Mayan village that is advertised in other tours (which we specifically did not want to go to). The tour is carried out by Dream Tours - the tour group name was not available to us before we actually went on the tour; had we known, we 100% would not have booked with them, as they have nothing but bad reviews online. The hostel promotes this tour, despite the negative reviews, giving really poor advice to guests. When I contacted the hostel noting that we had been given false information about the tour, and that we ultimately had less than an hour at Chichén Itzá, staff were quick to respond, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, they offered nothing other than a cocktail or else a discount on a whole new tour to remedy the fact that we did not get what we paid for, and had been sent on a hellish day out instead. To be clear, I understand (now), that schedules can change on these tours, and that the hostel can’t guarantee the amount of time at the site. This information came to us only when we complained while we were on the tour. My issue is with the fact that the staff did indeed guarantee minimum 2 hours at the site, with it being the first stop of the day. Long story short, find out the name of the tour group if you are booking a tour with the hostel and do your own research. We stayed in a private room, it was very basic - thin pillows and mattresses, but the AC was an excellent bonus, as was the filtered water available.

Check process was super easy, with all the staff being super friendly. No check out time is a plus - you can sleep in before you continue on your travels. Sam who showed us to our room was wonderful and gave us great info!

Only go there if you don't car about your bed and sleeping conditions The service of volunteers was really nice And the environment on bar is pretty cool ngl But the room are a disaster I wont recommend you stay there Tiny moldy rooms A lot of mosquitoes 🦟 No towels supply's No lock supply 🔐 No socket neer my bed No hot water in the shower It's nothing like the pictures Specially for this price it doesn't make any sense Its not enough to have a cool bar next building When the rooms are so horrible !

Caleta Hostel is a modern accommodation located in the heart of Cancun, right across from the bus station and next to the Transfer Vans of the Rivera Maya. The hostel has received high praise for its convenient location, making it an ideal place to stay. Guests have highlighted the friendly and attentive staff who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing a personal touch to the overall experience.
The hostel it's in a good location close to all main transports and different choice of markets and restaurants. I stayed in two different rooms and they are in good condition and the price it's good. The shared space is spacious and often cleaned. All the worker are nice and friendly and the service it's very good, especially thanks to Alondra and Alex that I had the chance to meet. I would definitely come back again.

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The location is perfect — close to everything we needed and ideal for exploring the area. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, always making us feel welcome. Everything was beautiful, clean, and well-organized, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. Our vacation was truly enjoyable thanks to this amazing place. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay!

A nice hostel with a good location, clean rooms, nice staff and a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend staying here. + near to the ADO bus terminal (short walking distance) + clean rooms + nice staff + curtains at the beds for privacy + big lockers under the beds + pretty rooftop Some minor things for improvement: - the curtains on the upper beds only cover half of the bed - there are no small lights at the beds
Sabrina — Google review
This hostel is immaculate, the staff is very friendly, and it has all of the amenities you need in a convenient location. It's right across from the ADO station and next door to the Soriana, for groceries, and some clothing items. The colectivo stop is also across the street. The pool is chilly but refreshing, and lawn chairs are available to use. Theree is a great workout area on the roof, with hammocks for relaxing and there is fresh water in the lobby. I highly recommend ✨️✨️

Chose this hostel due to the great location, being opposite the ADO bus station for Cancun central, as well as great restaurants and a big supermarket next door. The hostel itself is very clean and pleasant but not much of a social vibe or atmosphere. The highlight of the hostel is the rooftop.

Wonderful place where I was met with smiles, openness and a lot of good mood. The room was big and the bed super comfortable. It was a great stay and the staff is extremely kind and fun!

The girl at the night shift was super friendly, a great person! Thanks a lot for her dedication and friendliness 😊 Everything else: dissapointing. Old broken furniture, HUGE DEPOSIT! And questioning if the dirt on towels, which was already there, was from me. Horrible. Never again! Be aware of this deposit and games of trying to make additional money. Horrible kitchen too. Loud, no window blinds, just horrible. Just the friendly girl, for her I would give 10 Stars! ❤️

Bed bugs on the bed. When told to move to another bed in the room there were also bed bugs. Staff were very unhelpful and rude the next day when they wouldn’t give us a refund and accused us of lying about there behind bugs on both beds. We had to walk around Cancun at 4am to find another place to stay which felt very unsafe. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

The Boat House Cancun is a well-located hostel with quality amenities and friendly service. It offers free breakfast, a cafe, and board games for entertainment. The rooms are not overly spacious but the prime location provides easy access to various attractions in the area. The hostel has a new feel and adequate room sizes for solo travelers. However, some guests have noted issues with privacy due to staff entering rooms without knocking.
The hostel is very well located, close to everything, supermarkets, laundry, perfect for backpackers. The staff is attentive and does everything to serve guests, help with small details. There is a common area, with tables, excellent for digital nomads, or for those who work remotely. Equipped kitchen for basic meals, living room with TV and automatic door that makes it easier for those who want a nightlife in Cancun. The hostel offers bath towels and bedsheets, the rooms have air conditioning and there is mineral water available in the kitchen as well. For those who want to get to know Cancun by pedalling, bicycles are offered at a very affordable price. Tours available at the reception. Great hostel option in Cancun. I recommend it!
Andrea S — Google review
It’s labeled as a “bed and breakfast” but they only served coffee and tea in the morning. Not a big deal for us but would have been if we were counting on it. The room is very small but served its purpose fine. Not a lot of sound barrier so people up later in the evening and earlier in the morning talking were easy to hear. But people were overall respectful. The “private bathroom” wasn’t truly private. Shared with one other room. Wasn’t a big deal for us but I think that’s because the other room wasn’t occupied. It could have been a problem if we needed to shower quickly in the morning to get somewhere at a specific time, but we didn’t. You did have to leave your room and use a key to get into the bathroom. We also had to pay extra for 2 additional pillows (4 total) and for a blanket (our bed only had a sheet on it). It wasn’t a big fee, but I feel that having a blanket on a bed is pretty standard. Great stay for the price point, but if you want a true B&B with a true private bathroom, you might look elsewhere.
Caryn K — Google review
*** EDIT TO ADD: It’s very obvious a lot of the 5 star reviews are fake due to the number of profiles that have given a five star review in the past few days, most of which only have 1 or 2 reviews on their accounts (and some of whom talk about facilities that don’t even exist in this hostel). It’s very frustrating as a traveler to constantly come across hostels boosting their rating with fake reviews so I am charging my 3 star rating to 1 star (not that it makes a difference to the overall rating which this hostel probably paid for. *** Close to the ADO station and friendly staff. The beds and pillows are comfortable and though the kitchen is small, they have a microwave and mini toaster oven (I didn’t use them during my stay so I can’t say if they work well). The AC in the rooms at night works well and there’s a fan to use during the day so the room didn’t get too warm. Downsides are that when paying at the property it seemed to be a little more expensive than what booking.com had said. It might be best to pay before arrival via the site if possible. The showers also had no hot water left when I showered and the water pressure was really poor. Theres also no ventilation so the bathroom gets damp, which then makes the room feel damp. The beds have no privacy curtains so when people walk around the dorm at 1am with their phone flashlights on, it wakes everyone up.
M K — Google review
Cleaned every day but still the occasional roach and a light smell. Read that the beds weren't comfortable, they are okay, but no blanket or actual pillow case I recommend to bring your own. the people are very friendly. ac in the rooms is great. Read that the shower waster was cold it’s literally hot as the devils a** so proceed with caution or get the burn. No breakfast but there is tea and coffee. 10 minute walk from the ADO bus stop. PEOPLE DO EAT YOUR FOOD OUT THE FRIDGE SO BE CAREFUL.

The location is very Central and everything was clean. The hostel has a kitchen Plus a fridge. You can get hot water and coffee in the morning at 8 AM (but no breakfast) Unfortunately our room was directly next to the kitchen so So we had trouble sleeping as people were staying awake late.

Staff were friendly and accommodating and the location was good for our tour pick up but unfortunately this hostel wasn't for me. We paid for a private room but it wasn't very private, being that the door opened right into the kitchen and common area. You could hear right through the walls so we were kept awake by conversations going on late at night and you could even hear the sound of people's phone notifications in the next room. Toilet had a pungent urine smell. Advertised on Hostelworld to include breakfast but really it is just instant coffee and tea.

Having a wonderful time at Selina Cancun Laguna Hotel Zone. The experience team is awesome! Every day they offer free fun thiings today, today was a Marcado in downtown cancun. Last night was full moon yoga! I love that here at the lagoon is tranquil, yet only moments away is the hustle and bustle of the beach and night life of the hotel zone. The best of both worlds.

The location is perfect, the rooms are great. The only improvement could be having curtains on each bed. What really stands out is the service! Everyone was so kind and accommodating! Had an amazing afternoon about breast cancer awareness followed by a yoga session with Annie, Ami, Salvadore and Daian. So much better than veerpont night like in other hostels. Can’t recommend it enough! The staff really outdid themselves. Thank you! ❤️

I used to be such a big fan of Selina, but the new management has made a massive difference. It’s not the same as it used to be. I’m not very picky, but staying here really impacted our stay. Definitely would not stay here again. Good- The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and kind!! The property and pool has plenty of space. The kitchen and lobby are nice as well. The room was very clean and nice to stay in. The location is great as well, very easy to walk to restaurants and the beach! Cons- Out breakfast was included, and the staff was so rude about serving us, they made it very obvious we were an annoyance to them. Also, the breakfast on our last day gave me food poisoning. (See photo, it’s supposed to be chilaquiles). The walls are VERY thin, you can hear everything next to and above you. Also, you can’t keep alcohol in the fridge (you used to be able to) which is typically part of the benefit of staying in a hostel. Also, hard to explain, but the lack of care put into the atmosphere makes it feel a little off.

The hostel features an outdoor pool, a communal kitchen, and a lounge area for guests to relax in. While it's not known for wild parties or large crowds, the hostel provides excellent service and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
We had a lovely stay in one of the dorm rooms. Staff were all friendly. Nice communal area and clean pool. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Great location. Lots of shops, restaurants and the bus station nearby.

This hostel is okay for a few nights in comparison to the price but has a few things it definitely has to work on. The personnel was super friendly, the wifi worked great. They had a cute christmas eve meal that was free, amazing! On the other hand: Our room smelled like mold, there was a hole in the mosquito net and we had some pretty heavy rainshowers where it rained inside (luckily only in the bedroom). The walls had some stains on them as well. It was not entirely clean. The beds were okay for us but you have to be lucky. It was quite cold in the room and we weren't given the remote for the air conditioning. There is a nice area for sitting outside next to the pool. Overall recommendation definitely for the great price and if you're going somewhere the day after.

Very convenient location close to ADO station and food options. I took the ADO bus to the airport. Rooms are clean. AC works fine. TV with Sky. No view from the window.

What was good: - Under 5 minute walk to the ADO bus terminal, 5-10 minutes to Soriana and or an OXXO as well as restaurants. - Air conditioner from 8PM until 8AM. There’s also a fan in the 6 bed dorm. - 24/7 reception with friendly staff. - Secure front door and you can only be let in by reception unlocking it. - Incredibly clean hostel (all common areas, bathrooms, pool and outside areas). - Privacy curtains, power outlet next to bed, reading lamp and large locker in dorm. - Beds are super comfortable and the sheets were clean. - In the common area there are portable fans to use as well as a ceiling fan to keep cool. - Kitchen has the bare essentials (two stove burner, minimal utensils, pots and pans). Areas to improve: - No water filter meaning you need to buy bottles. It’d be great to be able to refill water bottles at the accomodation to reduce plastic use. - There is only one small fridge for all guests to use and when I visited it was quite and there was no room. - No spoons (only a teaspoon) in the kitchen.
Paddy C — Google review
+ Super well situated close from ADO bus station and a lot of restaurants, shops and so on around. - The room however...! It seems clean but the bed cover had a hole from cigarette burn. Bed was super hard. The bathroom faucet almost ripped out when opening. A lot of broken stuff in the room... need some maintenance! 2 cockroaches found in the room. 4am when we left from the bus loud music still playing from a bar close. So I would say overall... go there if you have no other choice like us...
Anne R — Google review
First off, staff was always nice and helpful. The hostel looks nice, got a lovely pool you can use to just cool down or have a moment of relaxation. Unfortunately the single rooms look like not much love or effort was invested (opposite to the rest of the hostel), the walls are partially looking broken and you can even see where someone spilled their coffee. Beds can be comfy or terrible, depends on the luck you have with your room - one thing they seem to have in common though: totally not made for tall people, far too short mattresses. What other people also already noted, there is leftovers of strains visible on the bed linen - it's clear they're freshly washed, but still. It's a no-go when you want to create a good feeling. Air condition is loud, so either take earplugs or turn it off at night. Bathrooms - once again, you can be lucky or end up having one where you can barely sit on the toilet because it's so damn close to the shower. I don't know who had the idea, it's terrible. General advice for the future: bring in more color into the rooms, take warm colors, make it look more comfy. Fix the cracks in the wall and paint over it, fill the drilling holes in the bathroom and make sure there is no leftovers of the stains visible on the bedlinen - and it's gonna be a totally different feeling! What you can't change is the noisy neighborhood in the evening - disco like music with heavy bass every night I was here unfortunately. Once again - if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
Nordseekind — Google review
Very nice hostel. Stayed just one night (Feb 2023), and there were two other people in the six-person dorm room. Beds were good, they give you a clean bed sheet. There is a really nice pool and patio in the back to hang out at. There's also a bit of a common area, and a big kitchen/ dining room. Breakfast was simple but good, and included with the room. It's kind of tucked down a side street around from the bus station in downtown Cancun, which is a good location and easy enough to walk to shops, restaurants or a mall. Staff were always available at the front desk, and very friendly.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. (I literally stumbled upon this place.) I had a 3 hr bus ride from Tulum while I enjoyed a bottle of wine. When I arrived at the nearby Walmart, I looked up appropriate accommodations in the area. this place came up but the hostleworld site said it was all sold out. This place is the worth negative , Stalking vibes, ungrounded , unprofessional behavior. The first was also pretending to not speak English or try to not be able to use translation ai. She over charge us , been rude, un accommodating . We needed and order two beds queen size for 10$, they charge us 35$ for with a large twin side bed. My son is 6”5 it’s impossible to sleep in a share large twin bed . No tv , AC only from 8 pm to 10am.we stay for 2 hours, jet lag, exhausted and Need a rest . It’s was unpractical, have two share bathroom. We had to wait she said for the order lady .( the next door same floor roomare) I woke up after a shower and nap. It’s was really windy, the door slammed, both of the lady came to lecture us about it like it was a library. Also the breakfast advertise was actually fruits. The lady we was waiting for to sort out the financial etc.. issues was actually in the bedroom next door. I finally realized the weirdness and of the staff I ask to be reembourse and get let us live. They finally did , but was been rude, at the door , stalking us and not letting us organize our departure. They act like they own the place , we was bothering them, talking in Spanish and laughing: weirdest experience ever. We finally left and enjoy a new restaurant, and had a great time. It’s really not for tourists, fun area, you can find much better and cheaper.. the people there does not want to be bother buy your business.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been. The staff (Brandon) is amazingly helpful and nice. The room is clean and cozy. The public area is spacious and tidy. The location is at the center of Cancun, and it took less than 20 minutes to the airport. It’s a pity that I only stayed here for 2 nights, and I was on a tight schedule, so I couldn’t join the activities 😭Would love to stay here again if I visit Cancun in the future.

I stayed here and really enjoyed the stay and besides the pool being super small being the only issue for me on my original stay. I left a bag went away for a few days was only expecting to be away for 1-2days which ended up being a few more than that I got back and found my lock cut my bag with my money and possessions in a trash bag in another room They tried to charge me for storage and just shrugged off the damage to my things which I would have had no issue paying to store my bag and hindsight I should probably have let them know about the extra days my fault but to my horror there was money missing they told me to prove it like I took photos or something of it before I left I cancelled my stay for that night and went elsewhere I was looking forward to posting a positive review about this place yet here we are dealing with theft and management who don’t care I leave the following day so I’m in the position where I spend my last day dealing with police or eat the $200aud loss and enjoy my last day in Cancun Update the footage that they supposedly have they can’t provide regarding the minutes around opening it showing me when they moved the bag and footage related to that her several minutes leading up to this is all non existent apparently …..convenient that there’s now no doubt it is now an internal theft from staff

The tour host Carlos is the best! I truly enjoyed my stay here, I definitely recommend trying all the non-party activities like the bike tour, taco tour, street art walking tour etc. The rooftop bar is fun and I like how it’s open to the public so you get lots of locals visiting for events like Salsa / Bachata dancing night etc. Beds were clean and comfortable enough. Kitchen storage area was really full though.

Deducting 1 star only for the treatment by the front staff during check-in. While I was denied check-in till 3 (which is fair, it's the apt check-in time mentioned by them). They were freely allowing early check-ins to a lot many other guests from different nationalities. Rest all was fine, one of the staff member (dont know name) helped me with booking tours & activities which were super fun

I had an amazing stay at Nomads! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place has everything you could possibly need for a great experience. The location is perfect—centrally located, making it easy to explore the area. The social atmosphere is unbeatable, with a constant buzz of activities that make it so easy to meet people. There’s always something going on, whether it’s a themed event, a group excursion, or just a casual hangout at the bar, which serves fantastic drinks. The pool area is another highlight—it’s a great spot to relax and unwind after a busy day of exploring or working. And speaking of work, the coworking space is well-equipped and ideal for staying productive, with plenty of space and a quiet, focused environment. For some downtime, the hotel has a cinema where you can catch a movie, which is such a unique and fun touch. There are plenty of showers available, so you never have to wait long, and the facilities are all clean and well-maintained. Overall, this hotel offers an incredible mix of relaxation, productivity, and social opportunities. Whether you’re here to work, relax, or meet new people, it’s the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend!

There was some activities promoted by the house, and also I could join to the other Nomads hostel to enjoy the party at rooftop. The location was good, many places to visit in Downtown, as the local markets and the Parque de la Palapas. I didn't use the kitchen, but there were some equipments to use. Special thanks to Ray, he was very polite and commited to keep the bath and rooms clean.

It’s a simple, but very clean property that has everything you need for your daily life on vacation. Shower, bed with clean sheets, kitchen to make your own food with fridge. I was also able to store my kite surf equipment there. You even get an extensive continental breakfast in the morning. I also need to mention the great staff, especially Giacinto, the Italian host. Whatever question/problem I had, he quickly took care of it. For example he helped me with storing my kite equipment, provided me with great restaurant tips and was a great conversational partner for any topic.

We had a bit of a bad experience with the hotel. Hot water was not working in our room + and there was a water problem in the toilet. Once complained several times, 2 technicians came and spent around 30 minutes inside our room to fix it. Then the water stopped working again on the same day night. The staff is not very friendly or rude. Feels like they need more training on customer service and good hospitality to get the level of Jetwing hospitality. The food was good. The room was facilitated and clean. The surroundings are also good and a beautiful hotel.

Good location. The girls really do want to make your stay enjoyable and easy. Room is ok. Clean bed, bath, AC was in working order. Didn't get a chance to try breakfast. Their assistance was the cherry on top. Will stay there again if you need a cheap and clean place to stay, stat here.

It's a cozy hostel if you're just staying in Cancun for a couple of nights before moving somewhere else. They have options for daily tours, it's quiet, The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook your own meals. If you're an early riser they will not provide breakfast since they prepare it until 9am. Their rofftop deck is pretty cool to watch the sunset. There is not much to do around but it's easier to get a cab or bus downtown.

Ok Hotel, good terasse on the roof. Many problems concerning it tho. First of all it is marketed like the best hotel for backpackers, so we had some high attempts. This, plus the fact that the pictures on the website made it look way nicer, we were disapointed when we arrived at the location. First of all, the front desk team try to helo you but they dont seem to be fully trained and theres a lot of your question they cant answer or seem to not want to answer. There was also one guy at front desk that was very insistent about booking an activity but also very not pleasant to talk to. He was rude and even told some people to get stop cooking meat in the kitchen because hes vegan and he doesnt like it. He is very unwelcoming and made me want to spend the less time possible in the front desk area when he was there. The kitchen is also very small and in the front desk area and they also charge for water, which was something that never happened to me in all the hostels that i went to before during this one month of travel. They also have a very bad exchange rate so if u pay with pesos, its gonna be more expensive than the price you expected. This should be said on your website or on the bookings to advise travelers that are on a tight budget so they can plan it in advance. Also tried to email them about my complaints and the weird exchange rate and they never answered my email. It wasn't bad but really wasn't great.

Amazing location with local beach and great restaurants. Right next to ferry for tours, taxis, and bus stop to get around town. Super nice rooms, nice staff, with included breakfast in the morning! I keep coming back! I love it.

Everything you could hope and wish from a hostel and more! Comfortable room, authentic, welcoming & friendly atsmosphere, very helpful and caring staff (their breakfast nicely set on the patio is the perfect way to start your day...Master Chef Jacob you got it :) !) great location if you want a day to day Cancun life immersion but close enough from the touristic point of interests of the city that you can have both depending on the mood of the day. One of the most quiet and beautiful beach spot at 2mns walking distance. Hanging out on the rooftop , wether it be to witness one of the most beautiful sunrise you ll ever witness, or to relax after your busy day, is a mega bonus and just adds up to the magic of your time there! A must stay !!! Thank you again to you all guys, see you soon xoxo Kelly

I was invited to a small dinner by a friend and the Italian guy working there was escalating an argument with me because I wasn't polite enough for him which didn't make sense. He wasn't understanding at all and made my friend cry and didn't have any compassion. He just kept pointing the finger at us. I feel really bad for the people that have to be around someone so insensitive.

Xtabentun Hostal is a budget-friendly accommodation located in the heart of Cancun, just a short distance from beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife. The hostel offers clean dormitories and private rooms, as well as communal spaces designed for socializing. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a kitchen, lounge area, pool, and bar. The staff are friendly and the location provides easy access to public transportation. Additionally, the hostel is close to a lively square with delicious Mexican food and cultural experiences.
Great hostel close to the central bus station en Cancun. - Clean rooms - Air conditioning - Friendly and helpful staff - Location close to bus station - Paid 330 pesos for a night This may be the best quality hostel for this price I've come across in all of Mexico.
Tristan — Google review
My dormitorio room wasn't ever cleaned in the 4 nights I stayed there. The toilet and shower was disgusting 🤢. I asked for the toilet paper bin to be changed and they begrudgingly emptied it. One of the staff, who was hungover, stayed in our room. Overflowing garbage bins around property weren't changed frequently. An empty tequila bottle was in our room for 3 days. WARNING. Avoid hostel at all costs.

Nice place, comfortable bed with own fan. WiFi not so good, hot water. Only hostel I've been to where there's nowhere to cook though.
Dominic P — Google review
Terrible Experience with Rude Management - Avoid at All Costs! I recently checked into Xtabentun Hostal in Mexico, and it was the worst hostel experience I've ever had. After spending the day at the beach, I returned to the hostel to put my luggage in my room. I hadn't even stayed the night, used the bed, or anything of the sort. I was just hanging out in the lobby/restaurant area when the hostel manager approached me in the most rude and condescending manner possible. He had the audacity to tell me to take a shower before getting into bed because, according to him, I "stink." First of all, this was early in the evening, and no one was even asleep yet. Secondly, the room I was going to be staying in already smelled bad because there’s no A/C, and the combined body odor from other guests due to the heat was overwhelming. It was clear the room’s odor was a result of poor ventilation, not me. What’s worse is that I hadn’t even been close enough to this guy for him to have any idea if I smelled or not. I didn’t even know his name! He spoke to me as if I were a child, not a paying customer. This kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable in any country or culture. To top it all off, the room conditions were awful. The lack of air conditioning made the place unbearable, and the smell was atrocious. This hostel clearly has no respect for its guests, and the manager’s behavior only made an already uncomfortable stay even worse. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Xtabentun Hostal at all costs. There are plenty of other places in Mexico where you'll be treated with the respect you deserve as a guest. This place is not one of them.
SIVH — Google review
I did long stay in here,I saw cockroaches three times in bath rooms😬 Cleaning is not enough, you can find many hair around a bed. Cancun’s daytime temperature is very high, but they stop A/C after 8a.m. Security is loose, someone can enter this hostel easily. While I am here, the theft happened twice. Overall I don't recommend staying here at all.
Boiled T — Google review
Great location just one block away from ado bus station specially if you land in any terminal from the airport Only catch the bus ride $185 to get to Cancun downtown Outside the hostal there are tons of options to eat local food and have fun There is a pool where you can swim and relax I really had a good time and I got what I paid for,a bed in a shared room with 10 people and A/C. It was enough for me Mattresses are good !!!! The communication was All good through WhatsApp and at the hostal They explained me everything If you are a picky traveler this might not be your hostal I truly loved the neighborhood there is always fun and entertainment!!! I will return in the future for sure
Uriel O — Google review
The welcome was very good! The staff were helpful. We were two women in a mixed dormitory of eight people and didn't feel very comfortable with some of our roommates. The room was small, there wasn't enough room to move around and the beds were too close together. It was also very hot and although we each had a fan, it wasn't enough. There was a shower and toilet in the room. The pool was really nice and spacious to relax in. The hostel is well located but a little far from the beaches.
Aude L — Google review
If you have to read a review, read mine. We went there after our horrible experience at an airbnb and the staff was so nice. We stayed there for a while and became friendly with all the staff. The room are nice and clean, the staff is super accommodating, always friendly and welcoming. The pool is also nice and clean. Sometimes guests can be disruptive but you can always go to the staff for help and understanding. There’s a big parking where you can park your car, it’s next to a convenience store, restaurants arent far, there’s also a supermarket nearby. The park next to the hostal is full of life at night, people dancing and everything. Theres a lot of cute kiosks nearby where you can buy jewelry and such. We walked around at night by ourselves (three women) and it was fine. If you’re there, also check out the coffee shop “coffee time” right across the parking. Again, great experience at this hostal. If i had to go back to cancun, i’d go there again.

The Yellow Capsule is a futuristic and relaxed capsule hotel located in the Downtown Cancun district. The capsules are modern, clean, and equipped with individual light and air controls, TV, and fire extinguisher. The hotel offers lockers, clean bathrooms, an airport shuttle service, and delicious breakfast included in the price. It is conveniently situated inside a small mall with various amenities such as restaurants and a cinema. Guests have praised the friendly staff for their exceptional service.
Love the futuristic creative concept of this hotel. I truly recommend it for travelers who are traveling through and need a restful sleep after a long trip. Staff is amazing!!!

it was fine.. already felt a bit dated in parts. would have been four stars but had to change pods and lockers after we had unpacked as door was broken. great value never the less and would use again for a super early flight
Jack B — Google review
Honestly it’s perfect if you want a day break (like if you’re checked out of your hotel and have a late night flight) or you want to have a hostel like experience as you travel here in Cancun You get free lockers and towels and theres soap and shampoo in the showers Staff is friendly, pods are nice and comfy. Good for the price tbh
Darshil D — Google review
Good mid-way point between the airport and the beach/ hotel zone. Good price, BUT there was a surprise 500 Peso "card deposit" which you get back when you check out (Cash only!) as well as a 80 Peso cleaning fee (non-refundable.) Not mentioned on the web site or Expedia. Locker rooms are shared by both sexes. The pods are absolutely freezing at night, even with the air vents closed. There are no sheets on the bed, but available at the front desk is a blanket which will disintegrate and leave fuzz all over your clothes. The day staff seemed annoyed and unhelpful but the late night staff was very cool. Free coffee and tea! There's a Walmart express that's walkable but they don't allow food in the room/pod. Not bad if you want to save money or want a unique experience that feels like you're in space or Star Wars. But not the Ritz-Carlton. Also the door makes a beeping sound and rumbles every time you go in or out, which isn't great if you're trying to sleep and not one for those who hit the bars until 2 am.
Prismatik S — Google review
This place ended up being a bit different than what i expected. I had a night to kill and always wanted to try a capsule so I gave it a try even though there were regular hotels within a similar price range. As my first capsule experience, I thought id be coming to a sophisticated high end tech solution but thats was not really the case. The capsule is nice. Has several lightning options, power socket, usb charger and even a flat screen tv. But other than the capsule, (and even these things which I will detail in a moment), things were so so. The storage facility for your stuff is a big locker. Its gets the job done but it isnt easy to.manage your stuff in it so the storage area has shared tables where guests do this. The bathroom was ok minus. Not as clean as I would exlect in a hotel. Showers are shared yet offer great privacy however they are not very well maintained. Men and women have separate bathrooms and showers. The capsule has control over air floe but can control the temparature. That is up to the temparature of the room it is in. I eas fine with it but imagine this can be lroblematic for some. My biggest concern aboht this place is that i didnt feel they clean capsules properly vetween guests. Reasons: - I had several strands of long hair (mine is short) on the bed. - The bed sheets have stains - after spending some time in the capsule my hands became a bit sticky. The staff is very friendly but can take some time handling checkin if there are several guests. Breakfast is very basic and consists of 2 eggs and 3 waffles with bananas. Its not fancy but it was fine. Tips: Be sure to check that your capsule is working properly before moving stuff in and out of it. Getting stuff from thr locker and moving it to the capsule is cumbersome. The locker and capsule require keys, the capsule might be on top of another, with ladder access and you need your hands to carry your things. My capsule had a very noisy fan which ultimately caused me to switch capsules at 1am and that was a bit of a hassle. You dont get a blanket if you dont ask for one and they dont have covers. I dont trust they are cleaned since that also had some hair so I would request another sheet to use as a cover. Bottom line, im glad i had the experience. This is not a "wow this is amazing ill be back for sure". This is a "it is a good solution when traveling on a budget". I would do it again but only if I didnt have alternatives within the same lrice range. Location is relative, depends what you need. Super close to the airport but not close to down town or the night life hotel strip.

This place is really cool and nice! Mauricio was very helpful when I requested to change pods. The staff are friendly and the cheesecake is good too
Ray F — Google review
The rooms are vibey as hell but the TV only has 10 channels and the hangout area is scarce for a hostel. There's a Krispy cream downstairs though ‼️
Hanna H — Google review
My experience at Hotel Yellow Capsule was outstanding and offers exceptional value, easily deserving a 5 out of 5. The location is ideal, with Walmart and other conveniences just a short distance away. The facilities are top-notch, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly, with special thanks to Sebastian and Mauricio for their remarkable service. Sebastian's English is excellent, making conversations easy for tourists who don't speak Spanish. As a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs, I found the breakfast options quite limited, and I believe there should be at least one dedicated vegetarian dish. Despite this, I highly recommend the hotel for its fantastic service, prime location, and overall quality.

If you're seeking an unforgettable experience in Cancun, look no further than Fiesta Party Hostel. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a complimentary tequila shot to kick off their stay. With no checkout times and refreshing air-conditioning, you can dance the night away comfortably.
De hostel is really nice, I felt directly welcome. The crew is so sweet and always wants to help you to give you the best experience. David made me feel comfy and showed me the local food on my first day. Even though its a party hostel, your will sleep well all the time, because the dorms are a bit further in the street, with enough bathroom's for everyone! Everyday they organise activities, they go to the beach, karaoke night... The place to be!;)
Amber C — Google review
Beware of Hidden Charges! I booked a stay at fiesta party hostel through their website, where the price seemed fair. However, when I arrived, they charged me more than the listed price, claiming there were extra fees that were never mentioned before. The staff refused to honor the original price, and the boss was telling us that we can change the price anytime we want since it’s high season If you’re considering staying here, be careful and take screenshots of your booking price. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of honest hostels out there—this isn’t one of them!
Hedi H — Google review
Beware of hidden charges not only did I book on line and they didn’t find my booking till 5 hours later they changed the price of the room and ask how much i was quoted on line . They say the tax isn’t included in the website and also screw you over on the conversion rate. My 18.50 room a night turned into 28 pound. I explained this and they said that’s how it is in cancun. Which is highly not true everywhere has to pay tax but they don’t make you pay an extra 20usd for conversion rate. I would not recommend this hostel

(Translated by Google) Very well maintained and clean island unlike others, the kitchen and terrace for eating are comfortable. Courtesy and kindness. I didn't like the offers, the bottom sheet was small broken in one corner, it was coming off and underneath there is a mattress closed in plastic, I practically woke up in plastic. And in the bathroom, mixed man/woman, only one shower and one toilet, the hot water didn't work, but everything was very clean. The idea of lockers in the bathroom is nice so you don't disturb those who are sleeping. I recommend it for anyone who wants to experience the center, it's a pleasant place overall. Señor Frog’s – Cancun 🇲🇽 This spot was a whole vibe! The staff was friendly, fun, and super attentive. The DJ was spinning straight jams, we stopped by for lunch on a weekday so it wasn’t packed, which made it even better. They had extras floating around like a body paint artist (for an extra fee), a clown making balloon hats (for tips), and a “shot guy” walking around with flavored tequila shots (also for an extra fee). Cute lil entertainment touch while you eat. Now let’s talk food.... it was good, not mind-blowing, but definitely hit the spot. The drinks though? 🥴 Watered down like a kiddie pool. We had to grab extra shots just to give them some kick, and that should tell you everything. All that said, I still enjoyed the place and the overall vibe. If I’m ever back on the strip and hungry, I’d stop through again. Oh, and for my selfie queens👑 ,there are fire photo ops near the bathroom. Not my usual spot for pics, but the aesthetic carries all the way through.

The volunteers are always different, but during my latest stay, Matt B. from Brazil was great! The volunteers are always trying to involve people in the activities and help people meet other travellers and have fun in the activities! The new pizza place, Onda, is delicious! This place is great and my favourite hostel/hotel in Cancún and I can't wait to see what they do next!

I had an incredible stay at this hostel in Cancun! The room was cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool - perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The shower was amazing, with a walk-in closet and a pull-up bar (a great bonus for fitness enthusiasts!). But what truly made my stay stand out was the exceptional hospitality of the host, Leonel. He was super friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home. From recommending local hotspots to sharing stories and laughter, Leonel made my stay truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a warm and inviting place to stay, look no further! 10/10 would recommend and can't wait to come back!!

I arrive at 10PM flustered after long and chaotic journey from London and was greeted with warmth. The private room was perfect and very roomy, with complimentary water (much needed after hours of nothing to drink!). The pool was a little oasis the next morning. The site itself feels quite large, but without being busy or overwhelming. The interior and decor are gorgeous and I'm looking forward to returning before my flight home.

Cute hostel - the decorations and layout are unique and fun, there is food and sitting places, and a small pool to enjoy. It's at the center of Cancun, so it's easy to walk to things and the bus station. The room had AC and private bathroom. Only downside was no mini fridge in the room to help keep drinks cold because it's very hot and humid. But definitely a great place to stay while traveling!

Hotel Soberanis Cancún is a centrally located traditional-style hotel offering simple rooms, an outdoor pool, a bar, and practical amenities. It is conveniently situated across from the bus terminal and provides comfortable rooms, a restaurant, and gardens with peacocks. The staff are friendly and helpful, quickly addressing any issues such as WiFi problems.
We stayed here for 7 nights. No complaints at all. Great location, lots of local restaurants, huge supermarket and currency exchange around the corner. 12 min to Starbucks . Leave couple 💵 as a tip to cleaning lady every day your room will shine. Be aware it is very noisy, beds are firm !!!buses r1,r2 will bring you to the beach!

Rooms are very very basic. Almost nothing nit even a wall decor. They provide very basic stuff almost nothing. Towels they provide almost gray color.

At this place cleaning stuff steals money from your room! Old super simple hotel, thin walls with no isolation. No garden or inside are. But the worth is that when cleaning, stuff goes over all your things to “fold” them, all bags were checked and money stolen. Stuff at the reception just told us sorry, we didn’t find your money. Stay out of this place unless you want to be robbed
Yuliana P — Google review
This place a small and clean. The rooms are very basic, and offer few amenities, but nothing to complain about. One gripe is that any small sound seems to echo loudly across the entire floor. Each room has a well functioning AC unit and a phone (however the phone doesn't work). It is located close to many good local restaurants and a grocery store is around a corner, and an exchange immediately outside the door. I paid approximately $20 a night, but wouldn't want to spend much more for this type of place.
Manmeets — Google review
Cleaning staff checked all belongings and stole money afterwards. The sign “do not disturb” was simply ignored. Administration is perfectly aware of thefts and wasn’t surprised at all.
Nataliia — Google review
Honestly it deserves 0 stars, the light in the bathroom didn't work, their WiFi didn't work, the walls weren't sound proof, we heard every noise at every moment waking us up every night. The price is cheap but definitely it could be better since it's not free. I think for the price you can find better options.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful to Visitors. As we complained about the WiFi, it was fixed very quickly by hotel staffs. The rooms are were clean and tidy. Hot water,AC and Personal lockers were provided in each room. I recommend this hotel, if you’re looking for cheap stay near the downtown Cancun.

Is on the center of cancun city and very close to the hotel zone. Some rooms are smaller than others with a humede smell and the personal sometimes is very lazy and heedless. The internet doesn't reach most rooms and you always need to stay at lobby for get connection. I don't recommend the breakfast. This place is good for rest and the closeness to ADO and hotel zone. For more reasons is bad.

The hotel features an outdoor pool, gym, and a restaurant/bar with a terrace. It is conveniently situated near local restaurants and Market 28. Guests enjoyed the large and clean rooms with comfortable beds and complimentary breakfast that includes made-to-order eggs.
The room was clean, service was good and location close to Ado bus and Palpas park, Mercedes 28. A great place to stay to enjoy downtown Cancun! Breakfast was decent too. The night staff Jesuri was really helpful in making our stay comfortable! Thanks for a good vacation stay!

Very good service 24-hour reception and check-in available. Very good service & friendly staff. Clean. pool area and private parking space. We had a double room on the Streetside. Which was noisy when you open window. The bathroom was a bit older but warm water was available. Breakfast was good with a lot of fruits and local dishes including Pancakes.

Decent hotel for the money. But the front desk staff is not helpful. My mobile phone almost ran out of battery and I was unable to get an uber back to this hotel. When I called for help sending a cab, they just said we cannot do anything until you come physically at the front desk.

Centrally located near ADO centro. Walking distance to Mercado 28 and not too far from Wal Mart. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms could be furnished better, but bathroom had hot running water and was clean. It would be nicer if they could label the breakfast items and to serve drinking water at breakfast time. Luggage storage is handy. Staff was polite and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Casa Wayak Hostel offers a local atmosphere and provides dormitories and private rooms with shared bathrooms. The hostel features a shared kitchen, lounge area, and an authentic, homey vibe. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, as well as the availability of amenities such as towels and soaps. While some minor issues like water pressure in the shower and occasional electricity cuts were noted, the friendly staff received praise for their helpful recommendations.
This was a very nice place to stay, since the very first day we stay there everyone was so friendly and very helpful. We stayed there for 4 day and had a very pleasant stay. You’ll feel like you are at home, you can use the kitchen to cook anything you need, there’s a nice terrace where you can go chill or you can just simply have a nice conversation with any of the people that works or stay there. 10 stars to this place
Josue M — Google review
The rooms are fine, but I really can’t recommend booking this place. I had a pre existing booking, but no staff were present when i arrived, with no one answering the phone, leaving me on the street waiting for nearly 2 hours, whilst it was getting dark. I have no idea how you can run a hostel/hotel whilst leaving it entirely unstaffed when expecting guests.
Joe T — Google review
The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean! We took a private room for 2 and we had 2 towels and 2 soaps. Having AC makes such a difference!! The staff is super friendly (thank you Lucia and Geraldo who gave us great recommendations to eat). We take off a star because of the pressure and the comfort of the shower and also, because sometimes the electricity cuts off (about an hour) but nothing dramatic. The breakfast is small but enough to start the day! We recommend this place for backpackers!

avoid at all cost, Bedbugs and disgusting room. I had to leave straight away. They told me they would refund me two months ago, still nothing
Isma H — Google review
It's close to the ADO terminal and El Centro, the staff/volunteers were pleasant but not overly hospitable. No hot water in our shower and leaking sink drain made for a wet floor. Poor maintenance all around. Old saggy and stained mattress. The AC worked very well and so did the TV. Fruit, toast and good coffee for an included breakfast. The neighborhood is quiet but dirty with lots of graffiti. Not a great value for the money.
Jesse M — Google review
I spent 2.5 weeks here and I enjoyed it. The included breakfast consists of toast, fruit and coffee or tea. The rooms are pretty clean and so are the shared bathrooms. Unfortunately only one of the 3 has a window but they’re still good. The staff was super nice and helpful. Since it’s located downtown there are many shops and restaurants in short distance and the bus stop to the hotel zone/beaches is also only a 15min walk away. The ADO center is not too far either but I wouldn’t recommend walking there if you have a lot of luggage or suitcase with you.
Fiorina — Google review
Upon our arrival the hostel was being painted and it felt like we were interrupting in someone’s home. Room was okay, had ac. Maybe the beds could have an update. As a non Spanish speaker we felt a little like outsiders. Location is a little far out and breakfast is mediocre (toast and watermelon), filter coffee was good.

After my wallet was stolen and I missed my connecting flight I was stuck in Cancun without any cash. My girlfriend transferred cash to a bank so I could pick it up there. Unfortunately it was Friday night when I arrived and all the banks where already closing or already did their maximum number of cash take outs for the day. It was extra hard because I already took a taxi and was planning to pay them with the money I was going to receive. After trying 3 different banks without luck I called the hostel if they could maybe help. They told me to come over and would see how to handle the situation. When I arrived they paid the taxi for me and gave me a bed. The day after it worked out with the bank so I paid them back. The staff is super friendly and did really good with my dog how's travelling with me. There is a good kitchen, the cleaning lady is doing a great job all day around and the location is great! Unlike what you read in a lot of comments the beds are good and there is no bedbugs! Recommend it to everyone how doesn't want to stay in the busy hotel zone or travelling with her/his dog.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cancun, Cancun International Suites offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking an affordable yet comfortable stay. This charming hotel features relaxed accommodations, some equipped with balconies or patios, perfect for enjoying the warm Caribbean breeze. Guests can start their day with a delightful breakfast before heading out to explore the nearby attractions on foot.
I can not say enough good things about this hotel and the people associated with it. We were here a couple years ago and booked it specifically again for this trip. The beautiful front desk woman, Freda, informed us that the booking site we used (Agoda - never again) isn’t someone they book with. We had prepaid. She was calm and professional, talked to her manager and walked us through how to call for a refund, with no promises but her insider knowledge was great to have. We are staying at this hotel again. If you book, Freda (and I) recommend calling the hotel to book, better pricing in our case, guaranteed reservation lol. I know they speak English and Spanish. Very excited to be back. The changes the city has made to the park area are beautiful and the traffic flow changes make it safer to cross the street at all hours. The park community is wonderful and the food is fantastic.
Emily P — Google review
Such potential for this hotel. We definitely didn't get the room we booked, and trying to talk to the front desk wasn't very fun with my poor Spanish and her poor English lol. But a kick ass location for sure. We reserved a room with a kitchenette, and a balcony and we didn't get that, not even a mini fridge. No real restaurant in the hotel or bar either, they have room for it that's for sure. Pool area was pretty small , only 2 loungers, rest chairs no tables. Definitely a cool hotel just not living up to its possible potential.

Mildew smell.. no internet.. no hot water. Low low flow shower that drips out so slow. Bathroom so small difficult to close door without hitting yourself. Air conditioner is preset only to cool down to 76 no lower. Breakfast is embarrassing to be called that. My door lock jiggle around about to break.. all this for 1140 pesos or 57 us dollar s
Danny C — Google review
This hotel doesn't offer any of the amenities you would expect from a 3-star or even a 2.5-star hotel in the US, like Best Western, Ramada, or Holiday Inn. The bathroom sink was tiny (for no particular reason, considering the room size) and had no counter space, the sink itself was super shaky and felt like if you lean your arms on it in any way, it would just rip off the wall. The water from the shower cabin leaked on the floor. There was no blow dryer, iron, fridge, or coffee maker. In fact there wasn't even a "do not disturb" sign for the door. Also when I checked in there was only a hand towel in the bathroom, and I had to physically go to the front desk to ask for bath towels - I don't remember now if there was a phone in the room that could call front desk, but the receptionist didn't speak English anyway. We communicated through Google Translate on our cell phones. The bed was only full size, which was okay for me staying alone, but definitely would have been too narrow for two people. There is no seating space in the room other than a single chair (again, imagine if it was two people staying there). There is nowhere to unpack your clothes, no dresser of any kind. The room looked very bare in terms of furnishings in general. You should know (which I didn't) that breakfast is not included. The only thing that was provided for free was sliced bread (without anything to put on it - that cost extra), coffee without milk or cream (that also cost extra), and sliced watermelon with papaya. It would have really helped me if the hotel actually had refrigerators in the rooms so that I could buy my own food the night before, but the way it was, I had to go to the Oxxo nearby. Floor-level shower that flooded the bathroom reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in London as a student, but then that property was only rated 1.5 stars. And you know something? Even at that hotel continental breakfast was included in the price of the room, and it was better than whatever they served here. Also all the booking sites mention that this hotel has laundry facilities, which it doesn't. There is a public laundromat around the corner, but it's just such a dirty and scary-looking place, you wouldn't want to go in there. The location is pretty central, but it isn't great. The hotel is located right next to a square with a park where people hang out nightly, with music playing loudly. I am a sound sleeper so it didn't bother me too much, but the music did sometimes last past midnight. I also felt that there was nothing there to see, even though it was right downtown. I suppose all in all it's an authentic experience though. I also see from the reviews of various hotels in Cancun that people complain a lot about hot water in the shower not being hot and cold water not being cold. I am afraid that's just how the water is in Cancun, so it's not strictly speaking the hotel's fault. I actually once took an entire shower with cold water because it was just lukewarm. Btw I've never once seen any of the guests use the pool, and I was there in August. I personally couldn't, because I was there for a medical procedure, so I can't say anything specific about the pool. There were some positives though: - the bed and the pillows (only two pillows provided btw) were comfortable - the A/C worked very well (it took me a minute to figure out how to direct it away from the bed, but it can be done) - the hotel is very clean - I always felt safe - The wi-fi worked very well - They have a Roku attached to all the TV's in the rooms, so I was able to log in to my own streaming apps - There is a spacious safe deposit box in the room. After Cancun International Suites I stayed a few nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cancun Downtown because I had to extend my trip, and that hotel *did* have real hot water because I am guessing the building was built to American standards. It also had all the other amenities we are used to in the US. But then the prices per night at that hotel are American, too, so whichever option you pick, it's a trade-off.

Thank you to this hotel and the staff for an excellent stay. It's very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly, especially the cleaning staff. The location is in the heart of Cancun. We saw so much of the city by foot because of staying at this location. We were also able to park our car safely outside the hotel. This a very good budget option away from the Hotel Zone. Thank you, again. Just one request for the staff for what could be better: the smell in the room from water pipes could be improved.
AFG-F. — Google review
If you're looking to be close to some lovely local spots and far away from the hotel zone, this is your spot! We were just a step away from the lively Parque de las Palapas, and not too far from the ADO station (Centro), two OXXOs, local markets, and other great places to eat. It is a family-friendly area and we felt incredibly safe and at ease. The hotel was clean and maintained regularly. We also received two complimentary bottles of water every day (and could've asked for more if needed). There is an elevator, although on the smaller end, which we really appreciated after a long day of lugging our luggage. One thing we wish we could've had access to is in-house laundry, but there is a laundromat down the street. It would also be cool if the pool could be open a bit into the night. It would look so beautiful with some string lights. We found ourselves usually missing pool hours because we were often on day tours. All the staff were so kind and helpful. Even with our language barrier and lack of Spanish knowledge, we got by comfortably due to a lot of the staff knowing English, and signage also including English. Although there was a language barrier between us and the hotel keeper we saw the most, she was so sweet and patient with us, and we only wish we could've spoken with her in Spanish more! The hotel restaurant is also a great spot! Absolutely delicious food and great service!! Definitely try the huevos motuleños if you can eat eggs. We found ourselves craving the dish again and feeling disappointed that no other places could measure up to the way this hotel restaurant makes it! It was such a pleasure and an honour to stay at Cancun International Suites and we cannot wait to be back again in the future!

Rooms were modern and clean - Looks like a new build. Location was pretty central in downtown Cancun. The main detraction was the consistently bad service by multiple staff, at the front desk and the restaurant. Grumpy and unhelpful. We had much better service at the 4 other Yucatan hotels we stayed at which were all half to a third of the price

Mundo Joven Travel Shop Cancún is a clean and welcoming hostel that offers breakfast included in the stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it easy for guests to navigate their surroundings. The rooms are well-maintained, some equipped with amenities like cable TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The hostel has a communal kitchen but could benefit from additional refrigeration space. Despite this, the breakfast provided is impressive with fresh fruits, yogurt, and cereals available.
THE perfect place to stay when you're traveling on a budget to DF. Ideal locations to trips all around the city (do not use the Turibus!! you won't get anywhere) with public transports. The common areas are clean and in good conditions. The only thing that's a bit annoying is that all rooms are located around a central area which makes it really noisy.

Good location. 2 minute walk from ADO bus station that is connected to Airport. Free breakfast and Jaccuzi on roof top. Terressa on reception is a good lady. If you are a wanderlust backpacker then no worries. You can bear the negative points. Area of improvements: Few mosquitto butes during nite. If you stay in AC Mixed dorm, then AC timings are 8pm to 11am. Wifi is only strong in loby or rooftop. Wifi in rooms is very weak

Well staffed kitchen, unfortunately there was just one fridge for guest and it was completely full. A second fridge would be nice. As well a labeling system to know if old stuff is in the fridge and can be removed. The breakfast was awesome for Mexico with fresh fruits, yogurt and cereals. The rooms are in good condition. The aircon I'd to cold at night. Needed my down sleeping bag to not freeze. But all over ice experience. Wifi unfortunately just on rooftop and at reception.

The hostel is at downtown Cancun, pretty close to the ADO buses, which makes it useful when you are traveling from Cancun to anther place. It has private dorms and mixed dorms. We did not stay at the hostel, but tried to book a visit to Chichen Itza through the hostel. We went to the hostel to pick up the voucher (we did not have to prepay). The next morning when we went to the pickup location the bus never arrived. We waited for an hour and it did not show. This was very frustrating as we had planned on going that day and it proved impossible because there were no other buses available. Very disappointing. If you book through them make sure that they confirm multiple times and make sure they don't screw up.

Capsule hotel
Hotel
During my recent trip to Cancun, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Capsulas Cancun (Green Caps) for a few days, and it was an unforgettable experience! The capsule-style beds offered a unique sleeping arrangement that felt almost like being in space—clean, cozy, and incredibly cool. Each guest is provided with a personal locker for added security and organization. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always a plus when traveling.
The hotel is still working some details, but it serves its purpose. Quiet location. Restroom and shower area need somework. however, staff is really helpful. Would recommend to any one familiar with capsule hotels.

We stayed at Hotel Capsulas Cancun (Green Caps) for 4-5 days while visiting from Houston, Texas—and it was amazing! The bathrooms were super clean, and each guest gets a personal locker in the room, which made us feel safe and organized. The capsule-style beds were really cool—clean, comfortable, and felt like we were sleeping in space! The whole place has a modern, futuristic vibe. The price was very reasonable, and the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Cancun. I’ll for sure be coming back to stay here again

(Translated by Google) The place was very centrally located in the middle of the hotel zone with the beach right across the street; restaurants were nearby. The experience was incredible! The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms were super clean, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They helped us with anything we needed. They served coffee and water every day. Each person was given a locker that fits a checked-size suitcase and space for a few other things. They gave us a bracelet that you scan to open and close the locker. They're also waterproof, so you can swim with them or go to the beach with them without any problem. The price was also very affordable and accessible. There weren't many people either, so it wasn't overwhelming. It's perfect for a couple or a small family for a short stay. We stayed there for two days. Definitely recommended. Definitivamente recomendable.

(Translated by Google) This is a great option for so many reasons: it's affordable considering you have all the basic amenities. There's always someone at the front desk, there are common areas for eating, cell phone charging, a minibar, microwave, and unlimited coffee, tea, and water. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and proactive, and they really make you feel comfortable. The areas are always clean, there's a men's restroom separate from the women's, and they provide a locker that easily accommodates my carry-on bag, backpack, and shoes. There's also a shoe rack in case you don't have enough space. They provide towels that you change daily. The location is unbeatable; right across the street is a Chedraui Select restaurant and access to a public beach. There are meeting points for tours, so if you're just looking to get to sleep, this is a great option. The only thing is that the capsule is small but comfortable. As long as the other guests are quiet, you can sleep well. However, I heard my neighbor's alarm, and it woke me up earlier than I planned. Super if I recommend it if it suits your needs.

We stayed one night in a private room for 2. For under $30 a night, the room and location was amazing. The room was clean and very practical, and even included a Roku connected to the internet with Netflix included! The room was noisy however, but earplugs were enough to get through the night. Also breakfast only included a small plate of fruit, coffee, and toast with jam and butter.

The hostel offers a peaceful atmosphere despite its proximity to the main road. Guests appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly, bilingual staff. The accommodation provides private rooms at an affordable rate with amenities like hot water, air conditioning, and a spacious kitchen.
I really like this Hostel. It’s on a small back street 50 yards from a main road. It is quiet, and they keep the facility very clean. The people that work here are super nice, the one guy is very fluent in English and Spanish. We had a room with 5 beds in it, they reserve for couples, and try to keep single folks out of it. We had a couple with us the first night in there, and then after that we were alone. $10 a night and pretty much a private room. Hot water, big kitchen, air conditioning. Absolutely suggest this hostel to anyone needing one. We will definitely be coming back here if we ever are in the area and need to. Very local and a short walk to all main bus lines, bus station, collectivios, many grocery stores and restaurants, Starbucks, Walmart, anything that you would need at all. Walk to the end of the street, grab a bus for 12 pesos ($0.75) and you are at the beach or main hotel zone in 10 minutes or less

Mercado 28, also known as Market 28, is a bustling flea market in downtown Cancun that offers an array of authentic souvenirs and local goods. This long-running market spans an entire city block and features colorful stalls selling everything from leather goods to traditional Mexican clothing, pottery, lacquerware, and hand-made accessories. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture while enjoying street food delights at small eateries dotted throughout the market.
Great place to buy souvenirs and whatnot. Don't be shy to negotiate. Try to find stores ("tiendas") that have prices clearly marked. Stores near the market entrance trend to b pricier. Very clean restrooms, if needed (10 pesos per visit)
Alex M — Google review
We recently visited this location with our family and had a wonderful experience. The area felt very safe, and parking was conveniently available either directly in front of the market or along nearby streets. The vendors were friendly and welcoming, and many were open to negotiating prices. Overall, the prices here were noticeably more affordable compared to those at the flea market in the hotel zone. We highly recommend this spot to all tourists seeking a pleasant and budget-friendly shopping experience.
Dr. S — Google review
Mercado 28 is a lively, colorful spot , and a good way to step outside the hotel zone and dive into local vibes. There is selection of souvenirs, handicrafts, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, stoneware, leather goods, and more…so you can definitely find something that catches your eye. Vendors are very eager to sell, and in fact negotiation seems expected — don’t pay the first price they offer. The price is reasonable after bargaining, but some of the items are very cheaply made.
Lily B — Google review
This is an excellent place to buy souvenirs from your trip, and the prices are very fair. The vendors don’t pressure you to buy, which I really appreciate since that’s something that often keeps me away from these kinds of places. They also have great food. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cancún.
J F — Google review
This is a vibrant and lively place to buy souvenirs and haggle over prices if you're into that kind of thing. It is a bit of a tourist tral but it's a tourist area. It can be overwhelming if you aren't prepared for the close quarters and constant engagement from the vendors, the restaurants are equally aggressive in trying to get your butt on their seats but the food we had was delicious and reasonably priced. Be prepared for additional "service fee" to be added to your bill which was 50 pesos, in lieu of tip.
Adan A — Google review
Fun experience outside of the hotels. Lots of similar items thats in every vendor. But you can find so many uniques one as well. Great for buying souvenirs
R. L — Google review
Mercado 28 is a colorful, buzzing local market in downtown Cancun that's perfect if you're hunting for souvenirs at great prices. You'll find everything from handwoven textiles and pottery to leather bags, tequila gift sets, hammocks, and all kinds of artisan crafts—basically, anything you'd want to bring back from Mexico. Prices here are much cheaper than the hotel zone or airport shops, especially if you're willing to haggle. Bargaining is not only accepted—it's expected. With a little persistence, you can often cut prices in half or better. The downside? The sellers are very aggressive. Almost every stall has someone calling you in, offering you tequila, or insisting they have the "best price just for you." It can get overwhelming, especially if you're just trying to browse. I didn’t try the food stalls, so I can’t speak to the food quality. Bottom line: If you enjoy deal-hunting, don’t mind a little chaos, and love supporting local artisans, Mercado 28 is worth the trip. Just bring cash, patience, and your best haggling game.
Sergio G — Google review
I travelled here with my wife and our two daughters, aged 5 and 4. What an amazing place! We visited on a Friday, and the people were so friendly, welcoming, and full of good humour (plenty of banter). There were loads of things to buy, each stall offering a different experience, along with fantastic local food. Of course, the stallholders are keen for business so you do get approached a lot, but that’s to be expected, it’s how small businesses make their living. People can be sceptical about Mexico 🇲🇽, but we found it very safe, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Support the local communities! (Family from England)

Parque de las Palapas, also known as the Park of the Palapas, is a recently renovated city park in Cancun that offers a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere. The park is free to enter and features food stands offering affordable snacks like corn on the cob, fried plantains, and quesadillas.
This place was fabulous entertainment for every age range and was accessible to all. It had the best range of street food and was all clean and freshly prepared to order. There were tables to sit in a food court arrangement and even these were cleaned by the traders. The night we went there was lots of entertainment and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We felt safe at all times, it was a great vibe we genuinely nice people who were predominantly locals but there were still many tourists who were kindly treated. Lots of souvenir shops with people making items in front of you. There were some mobile traders and some permanent shops including a supermarket. There was also a historical Catholic Church with a massively oversubscribed service going on, all welcome as it spilled onto the street. Fabulous experience.

Definitely a must visit place when in Cancun, Mexico. It’s a very happening place during the evenings and nights with festival kind of vibes. I visited this place frequently and enjoyed various performances. There is something different everyday. You can enjoy good music and dance performances. Not to forget, the food options are amazing. Marquesitas, Churros and esquites are must try. I loved all the food options and they were all very affordable. There are both stores and food stalls on the street. There’s a shared space to sit and eat. Good place to experience Mexican food, performances and culture. My favourite place in cancun to spend the evening and enjoy the vibes. Carry cash for the food as they do not accept cards.

This square in downtown Cancun is pretty interesting to check out. There are often events happening, so you might catch a show or some kind of performance. I wouldn’t say there’s anything super unique about it, but if you’re not sure what to do in the center, it’s worth a visit. At the very least, you’ll probably find some good street food.

Best place for food in Cancun. Least likely place to get scammed as prices are fair and square, and clearly displayed. Authentic dishes, loads of selection, and portions are very generous. The real deal. The only place in Cancun I'd recommend.

This place is a MUST when visiting Mexico 🇲🇽 is just a nice place to get good food for a good price along with a show. We went on a Saturday night. Food was so good and cheap that we kept eating tacos, it was good to support all the mom and pops local businesses. Marquesita are all delicious and a must try. There's also shops if you walk to the right of the dessert carts. You can buy jewelry, clothes, and so much more. Please go visit and support these local businesses. I'll definitely return and will recommend 👌

My favourite place to visit for checking out local shops and trying authentic local food. The prices are much better than in the hotel zone, and the food tastes even better! One thing to note: most vendors don’t speak English, so having Google Translate ready will be helpful. I also found it difficult to get Wi-Fi here to call an Uber back, so keep that in mind. Other than that, I highly recommend checking out this spot when you visit Cancún.

Secrets The Vine Cancun is an all-inclusive property with chic rooms and suites, 7 restaurants, and 6 bars. It offers a range of dining experiences including options for romantic dinners, special packages for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries, as well as unique features such as a restaurant with a fashion show and fireworks display. The resort also provides amenities for weddings and rehearsal dinners.
The service at this hotel is incredible! We stayed in the Preferred Junior Suite, and it was absolutely worth it for all the extra perks. As preferred guests, we had access to a private lounge, a dedicated pool on the 12th floor, the exclusive Olio Mediterranean restaurant, and even our own floor concierge — which made the whole experience feel so personalized. I have to give a special shoutout to Mauricio, our concierge. He went above and beyond to make our trip extra special — always available to answer questions and help with anything we needed. When my husband got sick during our stay, Mauricio checked in on us multiple times and offered assistance, which was so thoughtful and reassuring. If you can, definitely request him — you won’t be disappointed. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views and plenty to do. There are daily activities, several bars, six restaurants plus a poolside snack grill, and even a 24-hour café. One touch that truly stood out was their bedtime turndown service — something I’ve only experienced before at the Fairmont, and it made our stay feel even more luxurious. We had such a wonderful time here and are already planning to come back. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation experience.

I toured this hotel for a potential conference location before Hyatt purchased the property. We couldn’t get the pricing to work out for the conference but I’ve been dying to go back since! I was super excited to book this for my birthday week. My BF came with- this was his first trip to Cancun. The first thing I noticed was the appearance of the hotel had really declined. It did not feel like a luxury property at all. It was tired and there was a strong sewer smell throughout the lobby area. Our room was great! We upgraded to the premium level when we arrived. The service was amazing- everyone we encountered was professional, happy, kind and helpful. 10/10- service. The food was marginal, making the overall value of the stay below expectations. Between the poor quality of the food and the sewer smell, I wouldn’t go back. I was embarrassed that I talked it up so much to my bf before we arrived. Whatever you do, don’t do the Hyatt Vacation Club presentation. They gave us a discount on our upgrade, valued at $300 for a 90 min presentation. Buying into the vacation club means paying $300k for a 100 year membership to receive discounts on rooms. We did some research after- all the reviews were beyond bad. They start out great until you say no for the 3rd time, to the 5th person- then, get snarky. Not worth it at all. Save your vaca time. Hopefully, they can fix the differed maintenance and food quality.

@thee_turners We stayed at Secrets Cancun to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday, and it was an amazing experience! The staff went above and beyond and really anticipated our needs. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, honestly much better than other Hyatts I’ve stayed at. The spa was incredible, and the food was good overall. Dinner options were excellent, but the buffet could use more variety, and breakfast with room service wasn’t the best. The only downside was that prices for some services seemed to change depending on who you talked to, so it’s good to double-check beforehand. Although it’s an all-inclusive resort, there were quite a few attempts to sell or upsell items, which we didn’t really appreciate. We did upgrade our room view, but the $200 coupon book they provided had so many restrictions that we never used it—it felt more like a tactic to encourage additional purchases. The staff is kind and very smooth about it; they’re excellent at finessing you into thinking you’re not being sold something. I even had to pull my husband away a few times because he didn’t pick up on it, lol. Still, the customer service and attention to detail made our trip unforgettable. We’d definitely come back, but next time we’ll skip the sales pitches and just relax! 🌴✨

Secrets The Vine girls trip! Hotel rooms; clean, 24 hour room service was great, concierge (Manuel on 27th floor was amazing and so helpful!) Restaurants; Our favorite was Dragons, knowing there would be about 45-1hour wait every night we would prepare for this. Was 100% worth the wait for the food. Italian was another fav, we booked with Gabriel (pre booked by buying a bottle of wine) and he took wonderful care of us! Premium pool restaurant was also a lovely way of having a break from the sun with some options for everyone in the menu. The BBQ by the lower pools was also consistently good food, thank you Chad! Sports Bar was great for grabbing a fast drink or for staying and playing pool! Seafood night was also amazing! Pool bartenders by the bbq were great, thank you Alex and your coworkers! We were spoiled rotten by our servers Lucy (nicknamed dancing queen) and Norberto! Entertainment staff; Diego we had such a wonderful time playing Pictionary, volleyball and dancing! Thank you Johnathan for making bracelets and teaching us how to make a proper margarita! Lastly Jose, so kind, helpful and fun! Jose has wonderful English (but everyone was easy to converse with regardless). Thanks everyone at the Vine, we had a wonderful time, Sincerely, The Crazy Canadian Girls Oct. 19th-Oct. 26th

We stayed at this resort in October and we were very impressed by the location, right on the beach. The service staff were very courteous and polite and helpful from check in, concierge and service at all the restaurants. Our family was Vegetarian and every restaurant had a separate Vegan/Vegetarian menus and the staff were very accommodating to our dietary needs. We especially enjoyed having breakfast at the Market Cafe. It had excellent choices for Vegetarian food and we were there every morning. A very special thanks to the Manager at Market Cafe, Jose, along with the chef Enrique, and the staff Mitchell, Edgar, Bernie, Nicole and others made our trip very memorable. The pools were great and chairs were always available here. You can also walk right on to the beautiful sandy beach. The rooms were kept clean throughout the day. I would recommend this resort!!!

Unfortunately it is our last night here and the two managers we spoke to did nothing to compensate for our troubles. Our first night here we had to change rooms at 1AM because the air conditioner broke (confirmed by maintenance) and I’m 7 months pregnant. I could not sleep and the manager didn’t want to change our room until we went downstairs to the lobby and they saw I am pregnant. Second night we changed rooms again because our neighbor was blasting music at 11PM and then came banging on our door for a iPhone charger. We felt unsafe and requested to change rooms especially after the man screamed (naked by the way) at my husband on the balcony. So we switched rooms again at midnight. Our butler gave us a beach bag after we asked for one to lighten up the trip a bit but other than that, the managers did nothing. The manager offered hydrotherapy which I cannot do (the spa said pregnant women cannot participate in hydrotherapy). We asked for a private romantic dinner to make up for the troubles and all the manager did was make reservations for us at Dragons which reservations are not even needed as there is never a wait. Other than that, the food was good, sometimes cold but still good and the rest of the staff are very kind. Beach is beautiful. We paid a lot for preferred club and just felt like our trip was a bit spoiled due to do the first couple nights as first impressions are everything. I’m very pregnant and had to unpack and repack to 3 different rooms. Not sure if we will be back. Edit: It is our last night and we cannot sleep once again it is now 3:30AM. We can hear the neighbor’s TV since 7PM and thought it would eventually go away. It has not and we can hear constant muffling sounds from their TV. This is not the place to go for a baby moon. With minimal sleep due to all the troubles since we got here, I am very sad and disappointed in this trip. It was supposed to be a relaxing getaway before the baby gets here and I have never missed home so much. If you like to drink then maybe this is the place for you since you can get drunk and sleep past all the noise but for a couple that does not drink I would avoid. The guests here ruin the resort.

Secrets The Vine has changed what I look for in a resort. I can't recommend it enough. The food was hands down the best I've had in Cancun. No hyperbole. The custom service was exemplary as well. There were a handful of DGAF employees but not enough to spoil the good bunch. Service standouts... The superstars: Javier @ the Lounge bar ***** Eduardo @ the Peruvian restaurant ***** The next most memorable: Gabbie @ the Piano Bar **** Jose @ the Bluewater Steakhouse **** The only minor downsides for me: Quieter night life Smallish pools Limited poolside lounge chairs Small designated beach area Still I highly recommend it.

100% will be back! I visited Secrets the Vine last week for about 5 days. I shared a room with my mom and it was more than enough space. We had a preferred Ocean Front Room. The preferred status is worth it because you get a private concierge daily as well as access to the 12th floor which has upgraded liquor and food. Our concierge team included Eduardo, Aldo, and Stephano. I also spoke with Alejandra from time to time. They were all exceptional, but Eduardo really went above and beyond constantly. The room was beautiful, and the food was really good. There were also so many activities. We did water aerobics, karaoke, tequila tasting, guacamole classes etc. Such a wonderful team. We loved the energy of Johnny. Thank you so much to the entire staff!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a luxurious, all-inclusive beach resort with airy rooms and three infinity pools. It was formerly a Dreams hotel and offers family-friendly amenities such as eight restaurants, a complimentary kids club with its own pool, and adventure excursions. The resort features swim-up suites, daily activities like theater shows and water sports, and even has a tequila sommelier at the margarita bar.
We just got back from Hyatt Ziva Cancun and it was easily one of the best trips we’ve ever had. Everything about this resort is top-notch, the staff, the service, the food, the atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of. We were celebrating both a birthday and our wedding anniversary, and the team at Hyatt Ziva went above and beyond to make it extra special. A special shoutout to Eduardo at the Club lobby bar, he was so attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome every time we stopped by. Juliana at the pool (Club side) was also incredible, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and going out of her way to take care of us with a smile. The resort itself is stunning, the food was consistently delicious, and the level of service is honestly unmatched. We’ve stayed at a lot of places, but Hyatt Ziva Cancun set a new standard. Without a doubt, a full 5 stars, we can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort, and we brought our toddler along. After months of research (and a nice Chase boost offer), we decided on Hyatt Ziva Cancun. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by staff and handed cold towels which was a nice touch after traveling. A team member gave us a quick rundown of the property as he walked us to check-in. Side note: he did try to sign us up for a timeshare presentation the next day, offering a free cabana and massage as an incentive. It was a bit lowkey but easy to spot but just a heads up for future guests. Once checked in, we found the hotel to be very clean, beautiful, and full of friendly staff. The pools and beaches are conveniently close to the rooms. They also have activities throughout the day, and have a kids club where you can leave your kiddo (4-12 y/o I think). There are plenty of dining options - some great, some just okay. The buffet was consistently solid and offered different dishes daily. La Bastille was a lovely spot for a more elegant dinner, and Habaneros was perfect for seafood by the water. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day, and the housekeeping team was always cheerful. One small downside: the coffee at the café wasn't great, but it did the job. Also, the resort has captive dolphins, which felt a bit sad to see though they seemed well cared for. Overall, it was a wonderful first all-inclusive experience. We wouldn't be opposed to coming back!

We stayed at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Maya and had such a great family experience! 🌴 It’s definitely one of the best family-friendly resorts — tons of activities for kids, super clean rooms, and beautiful pools all around. Even though we went during rainy season (which was a bit of a bummer), the staff did an amazing job moving shows and entertainment indoors so we could still enjoy everything. We didn’t get to do any excursions since our daughter is only 2 and still needs her naps 😅, but she was still so entertained by the nightly performances and fun atmosphere. Overall, it was the perfect mix of relaxation and family fun — we’ll definitely be back! 💛

An amazing vacation spot! The resort is beautiful with breathtaking ocean views and a perfect location surrounded by clear blue water. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and modern, and the service is outstanding — everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay special. The restaurants offer a great variety of food, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. I paid a bit extra for this trip, but it was absolutely worth it — the comfort, atmosphere, and hospitality made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

10/10 My husband Tyler and I visited this resort for our wedding celebration trip, and it completely exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, everything was top-tier luxury. The Turquoise Room experience was beyond amazing — huge thanks to Natalia and Marie, our butlers as well as the all the other butler's that we experienced who went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of every single day. Their attention to detail and kindness made our stay unforgettable. Fidel, right in front of the Turquoise pool, was the best! Always so friendly and welcoming. And Teresa, the bartender, was absolutely hilarious and made every drink and interaction so much fun. The food was out of this world — from the delicious food trucks to the elegant French restaurant, everything was high-end and perfectly prepared. We were blown away by the quality and presentation. The service, the pools, the drinks, and the overall vibes were unbeatable. Highly recommend this place — it’s hands down the best spot in all of Cancun!

Our family of five stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun in September, and in hindsight, I would choose a different resort. Let me start with the price. Compared to other all-inclusive five-star hotels in Cancun, Hyatt Ziva was the most expensive quote I received for the period. For what I paid for three nights, I could have stayed a week at the renovated Marriott, or even at other resorts like Live Aqua, where I’ve previously enjoyed myself immensely. Naturally, this set high expectations. Ambiance: The hotel boasts two beautiful beaches and is well-maintained, with well-equipped basic rooms where we stayed. However, the building and rooms feel dated, with uninspired, lackluster design that lacks the glamorous vibe you’d expect from a premium resort. Renovations were ongoing during our stay, which were barely noticeable—except for breakfast, which was served in a very outdated conference room, bringing me to the resort’s Achilles’ heel: the food. As a serious foodie, dining is a top priority for me on vacation, and it’s the main reason I was so disappointed with Hyatt Ziva. I expected the food to be at least a 9/10; I’d give it a 6 or 7 at best. Over three nights, we tried most of the resort’s restaurants. The Asian restaurant, the “fine dining” French restaurant, and the beachside taco restaurant stood out negatively. The dishes were mediocre at best and outright unappetizing at worst—tasteless, dry, with seafood that felt frozen and poorly handled, unbalanced flavors, and desserts with an off-putting margarine aftertaste. On the positive side, breakfasts at the steakhouse were a highlight (we hoped to dine there for dinner but didn’t get the chance), and the Mexican pub was enjoyable. The kids also loved the indulgent meal at the American diner. The alcohol was another letdown—no cocktail I tried over three nights was good. They were bland, overly salty margaritas, and lacked finesse. Another issue that dampened our experience is something that applies to Cancun in general but is disappointing to encounter at a reputable international brand like Hyatt Ziva: the feeling that as a Western tourist, you’re seen as a walking dollar sign. One example is the dolphin swimming activity offered by the resort. Our room overlooked the dolphin pool, and my son wanted to try it. When we inquired at the concierge desk near our room, they directed us to a nearby booth to book the activity. There, we were offered a family package without being informed that the booth was operated by an external travel company charging a hefty commission. In a casual conversation with the dolphin pool operator, I learned we could have booked directly with them for 20% less than what we paid. I won’t be returning.
Or L — Google review
This place is heaven for kids. There’s a great area that dolphins swim and live in, tons of restaurants, and activities. Food: not super great. Stick to the food carts/trucks if you can, they come out during the day. They have the best food. When we went, the buffet was much smaller. It was divided between the main buffet and Moongate. Not impressed at the buffet or the hibachi restaurant. Although the omelettes were pretty good as well as the chilaquiles. Room service was prompt and easy to order. My favorite were the shrimp tacos. Food truck and stands often had grill options, burritos and a seasonal truck with Asian food. You can also get a Hyatt Ziva coconut for about $200-$250 pesos. The coffee shop and dessert shop is wonderful to get fruit, coffee and to fuel your sugar cravings. Rooms: clean, basic, and somewhat large. We had an often front so it was nice and quiet as well as next to the seafood restaurant. Just wasn’t a fan of the walk to the main area especially with a younger kid. Service: during peak hours, it was extremely hard to even get my water refilled at restaurants and the buffet. Don’t even think about it during the pool. Location: super great location on the coast with a short walk into town. There’s a large, somewhat gourmet grocery store about a 10 minute walk away where you can get sunscreen, food, souvenirs and even toys, swim wear, and practically anything else you need. Activities: great activities such as pool games, fitness classes like Pilates or yoga, mixology classes and of course the dolphins where you pay a hefty price. The activity itself was $100-150 USD but the photos START at $189 USD. If you stay until everyone has left, they’ll negotiate the price with you to give you the top tier of photos for the bottom tier price. Best bet is to pay someone to take photos for you. There’s also an arcade to spend some time when it rains or cool down. It is pretty small (and you need to pay for a card and load it with money). Kids club also has some special activities like night activities like teepees and movies or lab kids (science activities). Pool and Beach: beach beats out the pool with little to no seaweed and many areas where it’s shallow. Great free options for paddle boarding or kayaking. My kid’s favorite part was room service, dolphin watching, and unlimited desserts. My favorite was the nightly shows especially the special Mexican show they did for Day of the Dead and unlimited decent coffee. Con’s of the place included how crowded it often got, the lack of options at the buffet as well as it not being good, and when we went, it was rainy, the floors were SO slippery! Overall, great place for kids and if your kids are willing to do kids’ club at night, you’ll be able to get away and maybe try a bar or adult dining experience.

This place is beautiful - will not comment on how economical or not - but got my worth while staying here. It’s an elaborate resort with self contained activities beaches pools restaurants etc! Lock your self here and you will do fine! 5 start quality - what won this for me - is the staff! Very very sweet & hospitable - each and every one! Come with kids - they won’t come out of the pools or beaches! Don’t miss the corn ribs from Chevys diner! Asian restaurant great also - Italian restaurant great too! The buffet place - the menu can get better - but the stalls great for meat eaters! All in all - great retreat! Javier at front desk, Alexis at the cabanas, Janet at Chevys diner, Neftali at the Italian eatery, Alejandro at the pool side - just some names for shoutouts!

It features an observatory, planetarium shows, and a science museum with educational exhibits about space and the cosmos. The planetarium offers comfortable seating for guests to enjoy detailed views of constellations, galaxies, and planets. In the evenings, visitors can use telescopes at the observatory to observe the real sky.
A beautiful planetarium. They always give their best and the staff is always in a good mood. It may be small, but they give their heart to make kids have a great time.

This is not a very touristy location but if you live nearby and enjoy Planetariums, it’s a must! I would say stop by and take a look around and support a local educational institution that is doing great work. If you don’t speak spanish, the visuals may be enough to get you by!

Disappointed, Don’t waste your precious holiday time and money going there, took a taxi and the driver didn’t know about it, he knew the Walmart besides, and we got there and the information girl told us some things they do during the week or the same day 6 hours after we arrived so just went to see a building with some decoration, a lego pool that was the only activity my daughter was able to do, the observatory was closed for maintenance but judging for the rust and debris around it was like this since before Covid, some plants in a plant nursery, we observed people preparing some activity in one of the rooms so we asked and they said it was a private event, many people laying around we supposed were public employees as there is also some culture office. So more evidence that ahead of hotel area and main attractions there is almost nothing touristic to do in Downtown Cancun.

I have gone a couple of times to the Planetarium. It is definitely the smallest planetarium I have ever seen. However, it is nice and the star show is very good. I also went to see a band play "Pink Floyd" and although the auditorium was very small, the ambiance was great. It needs upkeeping.

We had a wonderful experience as always. This is our 4th time visiting. Our butler Leo is one of the best. He made sure our reservations were made and kept us updated with all events. Our room was kept clean and tidy. Our concierge Geny was wonderful to work with at check in. We did not have a good experience with the Yacht as it was canceled twice due to maintenance. Over all we Temptation is one of the best resorts in Cancun. We will definitely visit again.

From start to finish, my wife and I had a welcoming and pleasurable trip here. Cancun, Mexico, holds a special place in our hearts, and so do the people we met during our stay. I want to highlight a few individuals who made our experience unforgettable: **Leo, Israel, and Jair**, the waiters in the buffet area. Every day, they greeted us with great energy, genuine smiles, and warm charm. They were attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond our expectations. I also want to mention **Bianca and Patti** at the front desk, who gave us such a fun and friendly welcome that set the tone for our trip. The hotel and its environment are well worth the money spent. The food was overall enjoyable—while not every single dish was perfect (as with anywhere), there were plenty of delicious options to choose from. I would personally rate the food **3.9 out of 5 stars**. Overall, this was a memorable experience, and we are grateful for the wonderful staff who made it special.

My experience in this hotel is always great and pleasant. But my 5 start goes to Adali. Her customer service is impeccable. She makes me feel very special and welcoming, she definitely makes sure I was pleased with my food. She works at the buffet. Am a picky eater, also am very selective with my food, but she when out of her way to satisfy my tastes. Adali made my stay unforgettable. Thank you for your great services and kindness.

Jair and Alberto, great waiters. Took care of us for our four day stay. Always making sure we had a full mimosa ready and helping us with our plates and giving us a great experience. Alex was our butler he is great, made sure our reservations were booked. He made sure we had all the accommodations we needed. Request him if you get the chance. Jessica checked us in via ViP check-in between the warm personality and welcoming smile. She took care of us, showing us all the amenities and everything that we can upgrade to. Make sure you grab a mimosa while you are checking in. Dani / Cinthy are massage therapist and made our 80 minute couples massage something to be remembered and cherished. I will tell my grandchildren about this massage. These are just a few of the staff that made this trip a wonderful and memorable experience, come to Temptation Resort and see for yourself.

Situated in the heart of Zona Hotelera, JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat offering elegant rooms and suites, 8 restaurants, tennis courts, and three outdoor pools. The resort caters to luxury travelers and couples seeking an exclusive beach getaway with its spacious rooms, beautifully adorned marble bathrooms, Mayan-themed spa, and a full fitness center. Families are also welcome to enjoy the upscale amenities.
Spent 5 nights here as a Platinum Elite member August 2025. I was glad to have read the reviews before stating that lounge access was NOT complementary and that you had to pay for Club 91. We decided to pay for the club and was very pleased. I have to say, I almost switched hotels after reading reviews but so glad I didn’t. I have come to realize that some people just cannot be pleased no matter what! Rooms were perfect with very nice bathrooms. Pool area was awesome and there were always plenty of chairs available. There was some construction as they are remodeling parts of the lobby and pool area but almost never heard it and if I did it was not noisy one bit! There were some days that the beach and ocean had a lot of seaweed and some days that it was perfectly clear depending on the storms and weather. We never left the resort besides walking on the beach. The club 91 was WELL worth it! We had all meals there and every meal had numerous options and they changed every day. Every item was so delicious! Plenty of bottled water and drinks all day long. Alcohol only served free at dinner which was nice to limit consumption tbh. It is not a loud resort but nice and serene. Will definitely be back!

This has to be the best kept hotel, hardest working staff and best I've ever been treated during a resort stay. The rooms were spectacular and clean, they quickly reset and cleaned the room when needed and it was obvious that the staff enjoyed catering to all the guests. Food was on point at all restaurants and poolside. Drinks we AMAZING. Pools were clean. Access to the beach and the amenities beachside were exceptional. Just...wow. I feel so lucky to have experienced true luxury in Cancun!

We stayed here 3rd week of Oct. I would recommend this hotel as it is a beautiful property. There is some work going on around the outside of the lobby bar area but no noise in our room and most of the hotel is quiet. Our room was spacious with a balcony for an ocean view. Shower had a rain shower as well as handheld shower option, but it was tricky to figure out how to switch from one to the other. Staff was exceptional, always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extensive and food service in the pool and beach areas was good. I used the travel agency onsite to book tours and all went as planned. My spouse was there for a conference. Our last day there, we were on the beach when a sea turtle nest was discovered. The lifeguard gathered the turtles and told us when they would be released later that evening. It was the highlight of my visit to see the turtles make their way into the ocean. Only cons of the trip, were that the atm was out of service the entire stay as it was not simple to get to another reputable atm. Also, our check out date upon arrival was listed as one day earlier than it should have been and we asked for it to be corrected. Luckily, I was in the room and received the call about check out in time to correct it to the next day.

We spent a week at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa in early September. We opted for a room that included Club 91 access, and we could not have been happier with the service. It was well-worth the upgrade. The entire Club 91 staff was amazing. We were enthusiastically greeted each day by name, and each staff member made an effort to offer us personalized service whenever we were in the lounge for meals or cocktails. We looked forward to seeing the staff each day. They made restaurant reservations for us and offered tips for booking the best excursions and tours off-site. We specifically want to thank Franco, Ana, Marco, Camila, Krystal, and Eduardo for making our stay wonderful. Our massage and facial at the spa were outstanding. Yolanda specifically provided an exceptional hot stone massage. We enjoyed the quieter atmosphere that came with traveling during the off-season. We had the adults-only pool all to ourselves. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We would happily stay again.

Superb service and food at the JW Marriott in Cancun. Marco (Bell Captain), and Javier (Bellman) were exceptional! Our waiters at the Italian restaurant were phenomenal also, I just don’t remember their names. We were the only party of 8 in the restaurant on Friday October 10, 2025. Bravío Efren at the speakeasy bar, then at breakfast the next morning was exceptional too!!! I can’t say enough good things about the staff at the Cancun JW Marriott. My sincere thanks!

Excellent resort...very tranquil and perfect place to relax! Lost of great restaurants and excellent poolside service. Continental breakfast for Mariott status is confusing... you can get the custom omelet, but then some areas are open for the Continental breakfast in other areas if you take something from there it upgrades you to the buffet. Its not labeled...they give you a tour...eat from here, not here or there, that part is ok, this is fine, not the middle, and omelets are included. Overall an excellent place and I would stay there again.

Hotel Adhara Cancún is a charming hacienda-style property located in a residential neighborhood near the city center. The hotel offers stylish rooms with balconies or terraces, and a range of amenities including a large outdoor pool, sun terrace, and bars. While it's situated downtown, it provides easy access to Tulum Avenue for shopping and dining. Guests can also reach the Hotel Zone within 10 minutes by bus or taxi.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Adhara Cancún! The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the housekeeping team does an amazing job keeping everything spotless. The front desk staff is very helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect—so close to everything you need in Cancún, which made it easy to explore the area. It's a great deal for the price, offering excellent value. The breakfast was good, but we noticed limited options for vegetarians. However, the quality and freshness were spot on. For tea lovers like myself, do note that there are no kettles in the rooms, so plan accordingly. Overall, we enjoyed every bit of our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cancún!

We only spent 1 night here after flying into Cancun. Very clean and well kept hotel. Lovely courtyard with a bar. Seems like a good location with lots within walking distance, but not too close to get a lot of noise. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. Our room had been made up special with flowers and towel animals, which was great as we were traveling to celebrate our anniversary. A great start to the trip, and I would definitely stay again!

I prefer to stay downtown because you can save for one and explore much more instead of paying all-inclusive and being gone the whole day. Have stood downtown before and this for me was the most quiet and relaxing hotel as it is a few blocks from one of the main streets downtown and major traffic is therefore not much car traffic especially bus and truck traffic. It has a few groceries stores within walking distance as is many new restaurants on Nader Street which was a pleasant surprise just walking a few blocks . If you like to walk and explore this is a gem. This is a big hotel bigger than expected as I found out 1 night when 3 full size busses pulled up ( a flight was cancelled and this hotel has some good contracts to take in a whole flight ) so everything gets busy especially at breakfast which was included in my stay and for me it felt like a mini all inclusive with pretty much everything included plus cook to order egg station...now I was treated like royalty probably because I was very happy with the service at breakfast time that my cousin and I would drop 5 bucks because we were greeted very well and didn't need to get up for anything except to get food . The pool area is very nice courtyard and good suntan time from 8 to about 5 before sun disappears and chairs and tables are there but need attention as in replacing 😉. There is a bar with decent prices and good food also with good service. Security was also present and felt very safe and parking was a plenty available. Rooms were nice size and clean but no microwave and no fridge !!! They did have a safe though and toiletries were provided and rooms have balconies. No cash stations and they do not cash dollars..but banks aplenty within walking distance.

Nice hotel to stay in for a night or two. Breakfast was good & quite extensive. Room was large and practical with a nice view over the swimming pool. Location was okay. It was good for us because we were traveling by bus the day after, so it was nearby. It is farther away from the beaches/hotel area.

The hotel is very family friendly. But it also caters to singles. It's in a great location in downtown cancun and close to many eating places. It's also close to the market and park de la Palapas if you're interested in integrating with the Mexican culture and cuisine. Theres a variety of food options at the hotel and the egg bar where they make your omelets to taste is good too. Worth the money spent.

I stayed here for one night at the end of my Mexico trip. I contacted the hotel directly via WhatsApp to inquire about late check-out packages since I had an evening flight. They offered me a competitive rate for a 18:00 check-out, which I appreciated. The location is conveniently close to the ADO bus terminal, allowing you to reach the hotel from the airport or a long-distance bus at a reasonable price without needing a taxi, provided you don't mind an 8-minute walk with your luggage. My room was spacious and well-equipped. I enjoyed the large, firm king-size bed, which suited my preference. The shower was good, and the room included a big desk and a filter coffee machine. Unfortunately, my room lacked a balcony, likely because I was placed in one of their more economical options. The pool was large and suitable for swimming, though there were many children playing. However, I found some quieter times to enjoy it. There were enough sunbeds available, and pool towels were provided. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't remind parents when their children don't follow pool rules, such as jumping. Conversely, they are quick to remind guests not to bring outside food, indicating they are attentive to certain activities. Breakfast was good, featuring a buffet with an egg station, which I consider a significant plus. However, finding healthy options was challenging. A major downside was the absence of water at the breakfast buffet, which felt particularly stingy, as only overly sweet orange juice was available. I would appreciate more green options and a greater variety of fruits—there were four types of melons, but nothing else. The hotel has a pool bar, which can get quite busy. I didn't use it, but I noticed the music management was a bit unprofessional, with frequent repetition of songs, pauses with no sound, and then more music. This is an easy fix. If you have to stay in Cancun before or at the end of your trip, want a large pool and central location without spending a fortune, this hotel offers quite decent value in my opinion. I'd personally only spend as much time as required in Cancun itself, there are so many better (and significantly more affordable) places in Mexico.

Great hotel for the value. Nice pool, breakfast was great.

We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Mexico last week, and overall, the experience was positive. The staff was exceptionally helpful and respectful. Breakfast offered a good variety, including vegetarian options. The hotel also felt very safe; we left our Apple Watch in our previous room, and after notifying them, they kept it secure until we returned. However, the interior decor was not particularly appealing. Additionally, if you're traveling with infants or toddlers, you may find it inconvenient that there were no refrigerators or microwaves in the room for milk. This made us a bit uncomfortable. Overall, the staff were nice and helpful.

Nestled in a serene private beach area in Cancun, the Le Blanc Spa Resort is an exquisite all-inclusive adults-only retreat. The resort boasts luxurious rooms with elegant details and stunning views of either the ocean or the city and lagoon. With four restaurants offering diverse cuisines, guests can embark on a culinary journey while enjoying chic, modern accommodations designed for relaxation. Activities range from snorkeling and jungle tours to golf and water yoga, ensuring there's something for everyone.
A Truly Unforgettable Stay – We Got Married Here! Le Blanc Cancun exceeded every expectation we had and gave us an experience we will treasure for a lifetime. We chose this resort for our wedding, and from start to finish, everything was flawless. The wedding coordinator was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about every detail, making our special day absolutely perfect. Our butler was beyond incredible, anticipating our needs before we even thought of them and ensuring we felt pampered the entire stay. The drinks were top shelf and crafted with care, the dining was exceptional with every meal feeling like fine dining, and the pools and beach were simply stunning. Every corner of this property is immaculate, and the atmosphere is as relaxing as it is luxurious. What truly sets Le Blanc apart is its prestigious customer service. Every single staff member made us feel valued and celebrated. It is rare that I leave a destination and say I would return to the very same hotel, but in this case, I would come back to Le Blanc Cancun without hesitation. Fantastic hotel, fantastic experience. Five stars all the way.

Extremely Disappointed — treated like 3rd class This was my first time staying at Le Blanc Cancun, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The management is unresponsive, the food quality is nothing like I had expected and the overall experience felt nothing like the luxury standard, where you had paid top dollar like $1000 per night. Resort is poorly managed, with terrible service, inconsistent meals, and lack of attention to guests, particularly if you are not a member. For the price you pay, you expect excellence — not excuses. 😔 Making restaurant reservations is nearly impossible unless you’re a member — we could only get a 9:30 PM slot, which is unacceptable for a supposedly 5-star resort. Even Diamond members should reconsider renewing, as the overall experience no longer matches the price or reputation. There’s simply no room or attention left for regular guests. I will never go back. A total disappointment.

If you are accustomed to Four Season's types of hotels and resorts, this is not the place for you. The ride from the airport to the hotel is along a less than scenic route and does not set the tone you may be expecting. Once you arrive at the hotel, you are greeted and whisked to the check in desk where you are asked if you'd like all kinds of amazing resort credits in exchange for "45" minutes of your time over breakfast the next day. God help you if you agree to this. For one, no one can exactly explain what you can use your resort credits on and two the meeting will take hours, they eventually will take you to the sales floor in the building and try to convince you to buy your vacations from them in advance for hundreds of thousands of dollars. They literally expect you to take out a mortgage to do this. It was shocking, particularly since we had only been on the premises for 18 hours. The service in the hotel is fine, the all inclusive liquor is not top shelf and the food, after a few days feels like being in a college dorm. They have several specialty restaurants which you need advance reservations for, they are unmemorable. The long and the short, we will not be going back here. Now the good, he pool is big and clean and nice, there is a swim up bar, the spa is solid and they have free water / temp therapy at the spa all day everyday. We used this each in addition to our services (highlight of the hotel for sure). And the bad, the crazy vacation sales people literally chased us into our taxi when we were leaving to try and push vacations on us at the last minute.

I am writing this review with profound disappointment, hoping our experience will help other families avoid a similar ordeal. Our family of five checked into your resort with great anticipation, only to have our stay ruined by a severe room leak. What made the situation truly unacceptable was the hotel's response: 1. We were not promptly relocated to a safe and clean alternative room. 2. No compensation was offered throughout the entire ordeal. 3. The management adopted an exceptionally rigid and unaccommodating attitude, refusing to provide any form of compensation. For a resort that promotes itself as a luxury destination, your failure to demonstrate basic service integrity and goodwill when guests face such inconvenience was astonishing. What should have been a joyful family vacation turned into a stressful experience that left us all deeply upset. While we will leave Cancun as planned, please be assured that we will never choose Le Blanc Spa Resort again. A hotel unwilling to ensure the basic well-being of its guests in times of need does not deserve any traveler's trust. I urge potential guests to think twice. When traveling abroad, no one wants to find themselves without support and care when problems arise.

Update: You can look at my page and see that I don’t post many negative reviews. I’m not someone who complains easily, and I always give credit where it’s due. That should tell you how genuinely disappointing this experience was. While waiting for airport transportation, the Public Relations Manager approached us and immediately had an attitude. She said, “Remember me?” and when we said yes, she replied, “Are you sure?” She mentioned seeing my review and said she was confused since we had “accepted” the higher manager’s offer of spa credits and room upgrades for a future stay. I clarified that while I told that manager she could email them, I had also made it clear that I was dissatisfied because we received no compensation for this current trip, and I won’t be returning. The most frustrating part throughout this entire experience was the constant passing of responsibility. At Le Blanc, management said they couldn’t do anything because our initial reservation was made through Moon Palace. Then, when I went to the Palace Elite office to cancel my membership, they told me I’d have to travel 25 minutes back to Moon Palace or send an email instead. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, or maybe I just expect better accountability when a company markets itself as “five-diamond luxury.” Either way, I can’t justify spending that kind of money on a brand that treats its guests, and loyal members, this way. — I’ve been a VIP member since March and upgraded my membership during this vacation. I have since requested cancellation. The bartenders, servers, and other frontline staff were absolutely wonderful, but management was unhelpful and dismissive. We started at Moon Palace, and our sales associate transferred us to Le Blanc for the second half of our stay following my membership upgrade. We were told this five-diamond resort would be “effortless” and that every detail would be handled for us. The property is beautiful, but once you look past the surface, the cracks begin to show. During our stay, my guest accidentally flooded the bathroom, hallway, and bedroom while showering. The butler was present and asked me to knock on the door to alert her. As I walked over, I slipped and fell on the wet marble floor. Several staff members rushed to help, and while I declined medical treatment, I was left bruised and limping for the remainder of my stay. Management later claimed nothing was wrong with the shower and took no responsibility. We were moved to an equivalent room, but items were misplaced in the process, and several were left behind. The new room had a leaking shower, a toilet that clogged, and it took three separate requests just to get a top sheet—hardly the effortless luxury experience we were promised. The only compensation offered was a short spa service already included in our package. After speaking with three different managers, the final “resolution” was a voucher for a future room upgrade or spa treatment—neither of which addresses the time, discomfort, or disappointment experienced on this trip. I was prepared to invest over $235,000 USD in this membership program, yet the resort could not even offer a partial cash refund or meaningful gesture of goodwill. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Other issues observed during my stay included: • Loose marble flooring in hallways • Faulty elevator door sensors (closing on guests) • Broken elevator floor indicator panels • Misaligned automatic doors requiring guests to step within inches to activate • Missing glass tiles in the spa area • Ceiling leak in the gift shop (with multiple buckets placed underneath) • Debris and wasps in the Luna pool Minor flaws are understandable in any property, but for a resort claiming five-diamond luxury, the lack of accountability and attention to detail is unacceptable.

Le Blanc is so nice I don’t even know where to start. Every single expectation I had was not only met, it was blown out of the water. I’ve stayed in a lot of resorts in Cancun before, but from now on, this is the only one I will stay at. My spouse and I were both 100% satisfied and relaxed for our entire trip. All the food was fantastic. The restaurants are fantastic! The hydrotherapy in the spa was fantastic! The app they use is fantastic! Go ahead and download it before your trip and you can go ahead and make reservations for the spa, restaurants, excursions, etc. I also want to say that the butler service was out of this world. Cecilia was our butler until 3 everyday and Jose was our evening butler. We had more interaction with Cecilia because we’re generally early to bed, but both of them were beyond great. We felt like Cecelia wasn’t an employee by the time we left, we felt like she was a new friend we made. That’s how kind and wonderful she was. Jose even drew an amazing in room jacuzzi with rose pedals and a bottle of non alcoholic champagne (non drinkers) for us one evening after our return from dinner. They’re always there to make sure you’re taken care of, but if you want to be left alone you just press the privacy button and nobody will bother you. I could go on and on and I know I’m forgetting several things. If you are a nondrinker like myself every restaurant has non alcoholic options that are delicious! I really appreciated that. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. The “no kids” thing really keeps this place quiet and I saw no drunken behavior from any other guest. Every employee had a smile on their face and genuinely seemed happy to be there and happy we were there too. We can’t wait to go back and are already looking forward to it. Again, I’m a very well seasoned traveler. My spouse and I have been all over the world. I’ve been to a dozen resorts in Cancun, but this is the one I’ll be calling home from this point forward. When we arrived they said “welcome home.” Now I know why. 10 stars all day everyday.

We’ve stayed at Le Blanc before because it’s positioned as a high-end resort. The food offerings are plentiful, though not particularly exceptional. This time, however, it is our daughter and her husband who returned, and their experience has been devastating. After only three days, our daughter became violently ill with food poisoning. What is most alarming is the hotel’s response: instead of acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, management suggested she must have contracted it elsewhere. That is both dismissive and irresponsible. At a resort of this caliber, one expects not only quality and safety in food preparation but also accountability and concern for guest health. Food poisoning is not a minor inconvenience—it is a serious health issue that can ruin a vacation and, more importantly, put guests at real risk. The lack of ownership in this case is unacceptable. We hope Le Blanc will take this seriously, investigate, and most importantly, ensure no other guests go through what our family has just experienced.

My wife and I stayed at Le Blanc Cancun from August 15-20, 2025, and it was one of the most well-run and luxurious resorts I've ever visited. The food and service were absolutely incredible, with every restaurant exceeding my expectations. The grounds are immaculate, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The spa is a true highlight, and the complimentary hydrotherapy area—complete with an infrared sauna, wet sauna, cold room, and hot tub—was simply amazing. My only criticisms are minor. Upon check-in, we were directed to a separate desk for a welcome package, which turned out to be a pushy timeshare pitch. The representative was persistent throughout our stay, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, the resort only has three elevators, and one was out of service for most of our visit. While the rooms were clean, they were a bit small for such a high-end resort. Le Blanc has a mature, no-drama atmosphere, so it's not the place for a party crowd. Despite the minor issues, the amazing food and service make it a place we would definitely stay at again. We had an incredible time.

Ramada by Wyndham Cancun City is a casual hotel offering airy rooms with balconies and an outdoor pool. Located in the heart of Cancun, it provides easy access to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. The hotel features a restaurant, free beach shuttle service, laundry facilities, babysitting services, a tour desk, swimming pool, gym, and free Wi-Fi. Guests have praised the impeccable customer service and the cleanliness of the rooms.
I checked in today, March 21, 2109. There was a long line around 1230PM, but since checkin is at 3PM I was happy I was able to get in early. The hotel is spotless from the lobby to the room. The staff was polite and it was a relief that my English was understood and I was able to ask questions about local places to eat and things to do. I had a fourth floor room with a nice balcony and city view.

The location is very convenient - it may not be in the hotel zone but it is close to the ADO bus stand and close to Mercado 28 all of which are within 10 minutes of walking distance. It has a free shuttle to the beach daily. The breakfast buffet is delicious and has Mexican and Western Foods. We got a good deal and it was included in our room price. The rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and hard-working. However we have an annoyance. There's a smell of sewage in the hallway of the second floor. And we have communicated this to the stuff.

This was a very pleasant place to stay. Our room was clean and spacious. We even had a small balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was good and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor veranda for drinks in the evening. No complaints here.

Has been such a great stay here. Staff has been very good and pleasant. I was greeted outside upon arrival. The front desk clerk has been so accommodating, informative and so helpful. Room was spacious. Wish it was a carpeted floor but that's not a big deal.

Hotel is clean and wifi is strong. The breakfast buffet is extra but it's reasonable. The attached restaurant is nice and room service is an added bonus. Bathroom is tiny. Complimentary waters in room were already open. Be aware of that. Oh, and the mattresses are like rock slabs. Ouch. The reason I took a star off was because of the waters, tiny bathroom, hard mattress, and because of the karaoke bar situated across the street. Oh, the karaoke bar...poorly sung Spanish songs, loudly, all night/early morning and all nights of the week. For this reason alone, I would not go back to this hotel, sadly.

I want to say our stay was absolutely delightful. The room was clean and was cleaned daily. the hotel has everything you can need. The hotel offers an amazing shuttle service to Mandala Beach club everyday for free which would normally cost 40 usd to enter. If you want a very pleasant experience in the centre of Cancun city this is the place to be. Don't get me wrong it isn't a pompous all inclusive hotel in the hotel district but it is a excellent value for money if you want a down to earth realistic Cancun experience

Great hotel in the heart of downtown. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a wonderful front desk lady who spoke pretty good English. Check in was quick, easy and hassle free. On our way to the elevator we were greeted by Roberto the bellboy/concierge, he spoke excellent English and gave us a map of Cancún and drew our route to get to major places using the bus system and told us about the hotels free shuttle to the beach. Our room was clean and had the basic amenities you’d expect for the price. Front desk gave us more towels upon request. We got the city view room, it is what you make of it lol, pic attached. Upon checkout we talked to the same lady as check in, she was just as great. Quick and easy once again, and once again we were assisted by Roberto with holding our bags while we explored the city before our flight. We tried the restaurant one night, pizza was bad, mostly cheese and old dough, chicken sandwich was pretty good though. Waiter was nice and service was good though, you really get the sense this hotel cares about their guests. Overall I’d say a great stay for the price and it’s even a deal then we got it for $75 a night on the weekend. Great location in downtown Cancun is you want to stay away from the expensive and touristy hotel district. There is a park close with nightly shows and the walls are pretty thin so noise can be a problem if you’re a light sleeper otherwise great value!

Excellent! The staff was beyond imagination helpful with all matters, and we did have some challenges. Our flight was cancelled and had to be rebooked in what they supported us with both making calls, helping with language issues and also by simply being comforting. Highest rating for all the people working there! The room was the standard high quality, well equiped. The breakfast had a wide selection to fit almost any need. Wifi coverage was good everywhere in the hotel.

I really dont understand the bad reviews. The room was clean, had a window and a nice bath with real hot water. Yes the place looks not like your average hotel, bur for the price and location it is amazing. We stayed one night. There was no noice or anything. Cant say anything about the breakfast cause that will be tomorrow, but i dont understand the fuzz. We had a superior room voor €80.-. Real good wifi, clean room, 2 towels and a nice tv. If you want a 5 star hotel, book a Hilton room.

I stayed here for a week. An overall good experience. Close to everything so you can walk. The only complaint I had was that there was no hot water when I took a shower. This was 2 years ago so they may have fixed that. I would stay again.

Old building and yes still needs alot of renovations. I had a room that i didnt enjoy but they did gimme a better room and it was nice. Breakfast nothing big, staff were cleaning rooms everyday. They do have a fitness area but not like other resorts. The ac was great and it was really quiet during my 3 day stay, no loud noises seems like hotel was empty. And a few people came to stay.
Mike S — Google review
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There is no hot water, the service is awful, and there are people in the hallway partying until all hours of the night and the wall between your bed and the main area is glass, so there is no way to dampen the noise outside your room. The restaurants advertised weren't open, the beds are like sleeping on the floor and the room never gets dark due to the glass wall and there are no windows in the room so you can't see out at all. We were threatened by other "guests" and the boy at the front desk did nothing and made it clear he didn't care. We asked to be moved to another room so we could sleep and again nothing was done, no effort was made at all by the staff. Do not spend your money here, you will regret it!! Really terrible place and much nicer places nearby.
Codi F — Google review
The towels were dirty. The room has no view. The bathtub water runs slow. The water would not get hot to actually take a decent shower. The “restaurant” barely had food. Something as simple as French toast was on the menu but not available for breakfast. There were zero amenities. No pool or workout area. I’d sleep in my car before I stayed here again.

10 out of 10 for the Ac and Bed. Everything was perfect, the room was nice and in a great location for the price. Biggest problem was they never cleaned the room until the 4th day after we asked them everytime, but other than that i would stay here again its an amazing affordable hotel. Not a luxury resort but its worth staying here for the price. I loved it!!! Because the AC was cold as hell and the bed was amazing.

Very Disappointing Service – No Flexibility for Honest Mistake --- Update: After trying to contact the hotel again, we were told that no one at the property speaks English at all. This was shocking, especially for a hotel that receives international guests via Booking.com. If you are an English speaker, I strongly advise you not to stay here — communication will be extremely difficult. We even tried using a translator app to explain our situation, but they still refused to help. Do not let this hotel ruin your trip! --- We booked this hotel through Booking.com for a 3-night stay. Unfortunately, we made an honest mistake in selecting the start date. As soon as we noticed the error, we contacted the hotel within one hour of making the reservation — specifically, on Tuesday night, May 20th, 2025, between 11:20 PM and 11:40 PM. We asked if it was possible to shift the booking by just one day. We understand that our reservation was under a non-cancellation policy, but in our past travel experiences, hotels have usually been understanding when informed quickly — especially when the request is small and clearly unintentional. The hotel staff told us that they could not make any changes through their system. This was surprising, because most hotels have centralized systems that allow them to manage bookings from different platforms, including Booking.com. In similar situations at other hotels, staff have always tried to assist or find a workaround. What made this more frustrating is that this happened on the first day of our trip, and it left a very negative first impression. We weren’t trying to cancel the whole booking or cause any disruption — just to move the dates slightly due to a simple mistake that we addressed immediately. This experience showed a clear lack of flexibility and customer care. We hope the hotel will review how it handles these situations in the future. Honest guests who act quickly should not be punished so harshly for small errors.

We loved this paradise right in the city. Small and personal service. If you want to come to Mexico and stay in a hotel that looks like any other hotel stay elsewhere. If you want to lounge in a hammock and be in nature this place is great. We saw a raccoon and possum there! We loved it.

I was so happy with this hotel, literally can't think of a single thing to complain about. This was the ONLY hotel in the area that didn't look like a nightmare and it's somehow a great deal at the same time (book 30+ days in advance for 3+ nights and you'll save a ton). If you're looking for a hotel outside of the super expensive, super touristy Zona Hotelera, you can stop now, this is the perfect place. It's close to great street food and restaurants, the bus station, a large supermarket, car rental places, lavanderías, etc. Great location if you're not doing an all-inclusive resort-by-the-beach kind of thing. This is like a jungle oasis in the middle of a bustling city, it's beautiful and cute. I wished we spent more time at the hotel! The staff was maybe the most friendly and helpful I've ever had. Free breakfast was SO nice. Portions are moderate but delicious and a great way to start the day. Free unlimited potable water near the front desk was also a godsend. Our room was HUGE and well maintained and clean. On top of all this, it's very environmentally friendly, conservation-minded, educational, and birds and lizards flock to it as if it were a real forest. We finished a long Mexico trip across 5 states here and this was our favorite place we stayed!

Trust the reviews!!! If you’re looking for super luxurious resort type place this is not for you. Otherwise it is PERFECT. Staff is so friendly and you will get along even with bad or no Spanish. Pool area is GORGEOUS. This is a great area, close to shops and restaurants, only a couple minutes from a grocery store. Free breakfast and a little kitchenette if you want to cook in your room. The rooms are fairly big and SO CLEAN. Resort quality bedding put me to sleep in no time. It’s right downtown but feels exotic when you step inside. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe here. And you cannot beat the price.

An absolute delight to stay here. It truly captures the essence of Cancun. It was walking distance to some of the night markets and street food options in Cancun downtown. The place was pretty old but had an amazing cozy vibe which felt very nice. Loved how the plants and trees were part of the enclosed space. It’s definitely a great option for someone looking to have a relaxed time. The place was not noisy at all. There as some services that are not offered like regular hotels, but that’s very well mentioned while booking so no complaints at all. The receptionist’s were super helpful with suggestion places to visit, for dinner and also helped us with booking taxi at the expected rate whenever needed. Would definitely stay here if we get a chance again. It was worth the money for sure.

The staff is helpful and the location is close to the ADO station and public buses. You can find a supermarket, alot of restaurants and even Souvenir shops in few minutes 👍 It's a small lovely peaceful place and you feel like in an oasis. They even offer yoga classes and massages.

Hostel
Nestled just 15 km from Isla Mujeres airport, El Hostalito is a charming retreat that offers guests a delightful picnic area, a sun deck, and an inviting plunge pool. Located only a short drive from Isla Blanca, this Cancun hostel provides the perfect setting for relaxation and social interaction. Guests have shared their experiences of enjoying vibrant conversations with fellow travelers about intriguing topics like natural law and anarchy.
A great place to stay. Very relaxed with good energy. I even engaged in some lively discussion with a few guests about natural law and anarchy. My roommates ended up going out all night so effectively I had the room to myself.

The hostel looks cute on the outside and staff seems friendly. However I do not recommend it, as the rooms are incredibly small, they fit 6 beds where you can hardly fit one (believe me!). The mattress are really thin and everything is generally dirty: there is tons of dust in the rooms, and the toilets/showers are not in the best condition either.
Julia C — Google review
We booked a private room in this hostel over a month ago, and even emailed on the day of arrival to let them know we would be checking in around 11pm, and when we arrived we were told there was no power or electric for our room and no others available. They tried to ring a few other places but they didn't have any suitable rooms so the very first night of our trip we had to wonder around Cancun in the middle of the night after nearly 24 hours of travelling with huge bags trying to find somewhere else to stay. If i was travelling solo i would have felt incredibly unsafe. Really bad service, they had all of my contact details so why did they not tell us in advance or reply to my email so we had time to make other arrangements? Maybe it was for the best that we couldn't stay as there were a lot of recent reviews mentioning bedbugs
Demi — Google review
BEDBUGS !! Even though the staff was welcoming, the amenities and especially the room were really disappointing. As other commenters said, the hostel is cute from the outside but once you check in, you can easily see the dirtiness of the bathroom, and the worst of the worst, bedbugs. I complained to the front desk, but since the manager was not here for the check out, there was absolutely no help offered, apart from an apology. Strongly recommend to find another place to stay if you can.

They have a huge problem with BEDBUGS and they don't seem to take it seriously! Two weeks ago we wanted to stay there for one night. At the late evening we saw serveral bedbugs crawling on the bed so we decided not to stay there overnight. At least we get our money back but the staff left us out in the rain without helping us to find another accommodation -it was 1 am! The worst night in two month travelling! If they know they have bedbugs why they still offer accommodation??
Katharina K — Google review
Honestly don't waste your time and money in here, even if it's cheap. The bedsheets are dirty, shared rooms are tiny, extremely hot and moist, and they couldn't care less about your comfort and help you sorting any issues with your room. They won't give you any money back even though they are not providing the service you've paid for. As soon as they have your money, you're literally on your own.

This hostel was the dirtiest and smelliest hostel out of the four that we stayed in ,in Mexico. Upon arrival it was clear they had almost 0 of the amenities promised. No kitchen and a fridge in the employee area only. There is a potential we missed it but at check in we weren't given a tour or any details just a trip to the wrong room before getting to our actual room. The staff was friendly enough but was alouf and hard to find. The bathrooms were disgusting with large clumps of hair and other things in all showers and toilets that flushed about half the time. After reading all the other reviews the best thing I can say is that we did not find bedbugs like some guests. Also no potable water.
Dalton T — Google review
Most of the time there was no water and internet. The reception staff are always stoned and they don't care about the hostel. There are 2 dogs which are very annoying especially when someone is eating. The kitchen is very small and the fridge is always full. Noisy neighbour and in all rooms there are bed bugs. location is OK which is too near to the city centre and supermarket. But I don't recommend it at all.
