Atmosphere - clean & tidy environment with good ventilation (one does not get the oily smell on the body, hair & clothing dining inside the restaurant). There is also a separate lounge nearby (about 15 - 20 meter away) for big group dining, etc. Service - very good cashier & kitchen staffs. The supervisor/manager in black shirt helps to clear tables & served customers at waiting tables. Food - even though there is only 1 type of fried chicken flavour, it is enough as the fried chicken is very tasty. Fried chicken is served with Borenos sauce/gravy (similar to the whipped potatoes gravy) which made the chicken even tastier (no need chilli & tomato sauces, the gravy itself is good enough). The Normal Coke that came with the set meal can be exchanged with with Zero Coke without incurring any extra cost (Other fried chicken brands will normally put additional fee to this changed of drink request) - RESPECT - for not being greedy! Hope Borenos can expand to many more places (Tuaran? 😉 ) & maintaining the good standards all the time!

Awesome place to try fast-food. In my taste, they have better chicken burger than the other established fast-food companies. If I had the stomach, I would've tried other items in their menu too. The additional good thing about this particular branch, they have a lounge, which is a few stores down from the ordering counter, which is big and enough to hold bigger groups.

I visited this fast food store while travelling and tried their 2-piece fried chicken for lunch. The taste was just okay, but about an hour later I started feeling bloated, burping constantly with a disgusting smell that made me feel nauseous. I ended up vomiting and having diarrhea. Another hour later, I reached the airport and had to run to the toilet to vomit again — and even after my flight, I vomited a third time. I finally reached home at 11:30 PM and vomited for the fourth time. The burping smell was still the same and made me feel sick every time. The worst part is that I wasn’t the only one — all four of us who ate there had the same symptoms. My partner even had a fever and chills while pooping through the night. Definitely never going to try this place again. Eat here at your own risk!

Well organised systematic Cafe with great food and even better Kaya! Best kaya i have ever tasted. Smoky and good flavour of caramelised brown sugar.

My family and I really enjoyed the laksa. It was mildly spicy and flavourful. The broth was thick and rich and absolutely tickled our palates. We also ordered kaya toast and it must be one of the tastiest ones I’ve had. However, the ngau chap noodles was somewhat disappointing and tasted watered-down. It unfortunately brought down the dining experience at Yee Fung Laksa a few notches. Nonetheless, we had an enjoyable time and would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s in Sabah for a visit.

Local specialty laksa. (And to be clear, the laksa is not the same as what you get in Singapore or Penang). The version here has a distinct curry flavor and deeper umami. Lines may be long but very efficient. There is a regular serving and "King" serving size, with the latter having shell on large prawns (vs smaller prawns). Fresh and flavorful, but you decide if you want to peel by hand! The chili sauce on the side is very nice too. Wash it all down with a iced preserved lemon or plum drink.

One of the best noodle always here if visited this place, plus their price is reasonable too. Food is consider good as well. Just that sometime there is long line of people waiting for table, but can see they are very good in organizing it included advance order and very quick serve your food.

Came here to try their laksa and it didnt disappoint! Though its not very hot and noodle portion is abit small. Their fish ball was OK but the dry noodles was cooked too long as its soft and mushy. Place is quite packed with people so you might need to queue depending on the time you visit. Staffs here are very friendly and you will need to order at the counter.

The laksa soup was okay, but I was a bit disappointed with the prawns. I ordered the larger prawns, but unfortunately, they weren’t fresh. I was expecting fresher seafood in Sabah! The beverage was good though…sorry, I forgot the name! Hahahha

Came here because of the high ratings. Came here for breakfast. Super crowded. The laksa is acceptable but not the best. Felt like the soup is quite diluted. Not flavourful. Fishball is great. Overwhelmed by the extremely efficient and fast service. Shop has AC but due to the hot weather it feels like no AC. So hot that we had to leave immediately after as it’s too humid.

Went for the weekend dinner buffet. Not sure if it's the final one before the Ramadhan selection begins but I feel it was a bit ordinary compared to other Le Meridien buffets I've gone to. The food is okay, but I feel the selection is limited. Having said that, my favorite was the Chicken Stroganoff, Peking duck, Chicken Satay and the cakes. The drinks offered are only Coffee, Tea or Water. The biryani is a bit of a fail. All others are just meh okay la.

A great place for hotel buffet in KK! The food variety is good, majority of them tastes great and Dining in a nice atmosphere. A must go for buffet lovers - definitely value for money.

Tried their most tempting Ramadan buffet; dishes were more towards heavily saltiness and sweet. Gearbox soup is awesome experience, but the mee soup is disgustingly salty. Though its seem lots of varieties, but they don’t refill the food.A pity for the late arrivals. Desserts are limited, soup base desserts are rather thick yet not tasty.and with this high price you still don’t find any Baskin Robins or Hagen-daez ice cream, but only ordinary ABC.and many food doesn’t heat hot enough.So less fruits, u only find jeruk dish(pickled fruits) the most.

I had an excellent experience at the hotel, especially thanks to Cedric at the reception. He was very professional, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Came across this place via a kota kinabalu food blog, and was staying locally so decided to check it out. Staff were super helpful (I was a very confused - and hungry - tourist) and recommended the chicken roti cobra. It was absolutely phenomenal. Im currently sat with an empty plate in front of be and weighing up a second order. Definitely recommend! And makes me wonder what other treasures this food court is hiding 😋

Recommend for trying local food! I tried Roti Cobra with lamb and other one with beef. Both of them were cooked right. A bit spicy but not so much. They serve food very fast

Food was awesome, and super affordable. There is a sitting area that is designated for their patrons. Had roti cobra beef, biryani with beef, two iced lychees, and two plain rotis. Came out to 27.1 MYR. The rotis were phenomenal, even if you come for just a snack. Cant beat it

Came here based on some YouTube vlog recommendations. The Roti Cobra Ayam (chicken) is better than the beef (Daging) version. The curry that soaked the roti canai tasted the same to or both is average and is on the salty and chilli hot side. The roti cobra also came with a small serving of winged beans to help provide some relief from the curry. Ok to try to tick the bucket list in KK. A bit tricky to find using Google maps as you will need to enter the mall and head to the food court in the basement and at the far end nearer the escalator.

I was a little worried after seeing the last review, but I thought I'd still give it a shot as I wanted to try some roti in Malaysia. I'm glad I came and tried anyway! We had a Roti cobra with fish and a sardine murtabak. I can only compare with the legendary Roti king in London and I would say it is very comparable. The only difference is that the slice of fish we got is a little dodgier than the fish you would get in London (had some dried blood bits and some organ looking thing in the cross section of fish, but the meat itself tasted good). Curry sauce was delicious and so was the roti! And for the price (about a quarter of UK price) I think it is very reasonable! If you're looking to try some Roti in KK I think this is a good option!

Had the Kebab Platter for 2, RM69, Hummus RM7, Egyptian Mint Tea (Hot) RM5, Burak RM12.99 and Lamb Hawashi RM24.99. Love the Hummus, delicious to be eaten with bread 😋. Egyptian Mint Tea was sweet and refreshing 👍🏼 The beef kebab on the platter was a bit dry, same goes as the chicken on salad. Wish it was served hot. The chicken kebab was nice. Beef soup was subtle. Burak was a mix of mushrooms, meat, mixed vege and potatoes. Tasty, can get a bit peppery. The Lamb Hawashi filling kinda taste like a tomato based sauce. Love the crispy part of the pita, but it wasn't overall crispy. Yeast smell a bit pungent. E-wallet payment is available.

Highly DO NOT recommended here. Soggy rice, no flavour. No spices. Chicken is very oily and no taste. Shop was empty with no customer explains it all. Wasted rm58.

The overall experience was a bit of a mix. The food was excellent based on its quality, taste and presentation. Would definitely come here again for its authentic and delicious food. However the ambience was not too comfortable for us as the music was a bit too loud preventing us from enjoying our food further. The prayer area could have been tidied up better. Other than that it was great.

This must be one fabulous foreign dining experience for me here in KK City, for I had wonderful Iftar or songkai w fellow friends. I love how this was a smooth transition for us, from booking to the table service. Our booking went great when the restaurant themselves recommended us choices and what's great on the menu, especially for me as a newcomer. They even let us know to order our meals as early as we can during the season. The place has the fast food vibe but merging into their Egyptian culture, having 3 kinds of seatings, outdoor, indoor and on the floor w designated cubicle. Their menu, let's try them all, price ranging from RM10 above for good meal, while RM6 for side dishes. Gosh I could not resist their hummus, something that I enjoy having eversince my UNI time. Oo this is important infor, but we had FREE non alcoholic Barbican BEERS. This Is truly psychedelic. I just love the vibrant atmosphere, even during Iftar there were bunch of Non Muslim that gathered around to enjoy the food.. Oo and I love how the staffs actually sang & chanted dhikir etc while cleaning the premise.. What a great experience, definitely a must

Went there 3 times so far. And yes, worth to repeat. The best nasi mandy among other places in KK. Simple decorating inside the cafe. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Extremely convenient method of payment available. Try out their pizzas as cheeses are overflow 👌. Convenient parking area and kids friendly as well.

This beach is near the kota Kinabalu airport. Easy to go from the city. Recommended for sunset. If you don't like crowded areas, you can avoid it. Lots of people visit there. Near the beach area, there are lots of local food shops. Affordable and local tasty food.

This night market is more for tourists. Good place to witness sunset. Some complaints: 1. Cleanliness is not so good - the stalls, the beach & the green area; 2. Some items being sold without price tags which open for price abuse; 3. Parking problem; 4. Public toilets problem; 5. Place to take e-hailing ride near the roundabout is quite chaotic; 6. Foul smell drain water flowing to the beach

Infested with people! Come earlier by 6pm latest or else find another spot. Grab will take you 30 mins to crawl from the main road turning in and to reach the Drop-off point at the roundabout. Crazy jam especially on weekends and public holidays.. Made worse by tour buses parking along the road shoulder. Would recommend check the weather first. Only come if the sky is perfectly clear else you won't see the fireball ☀️ sink below the horizon.

Fried rice at Saleha Food Corner is bland and horrible. Doubt the rest of the food is any good if they can't even get fried rice right. The squid at another stall was alright though. Came here at 9ish pm. Half the market were already closed as it had rained heavily earlier.

If visiting Kota Kinabalu, the legendary night market at Tanjung Aru is a must see. The crowd starts trickling in towards dusk and then the place gradually fills up. This is a Halal only night marketplace so no beers or alcohol which is sad in fact cause this place would be 100/10 stars if they sold it here. Prime spot right next to the beach. Come early to get parking and watch the gorgeous Sunset.

The market is pretty messy and packed with people. No credit cards accepted anywhere, so bring cash. There are some decent food options, but be careful to choose well-cooked dishes to avoid food poisoning. Not the most pleasant experience overall.

Definitely not recommending this place to anyone we asked for s sized fish that is 100grams but they gave us 1kilogram, we'd be fine if the food quality was amazing but the fish was not fresh and definitely been in the freezer for weeks because of the smell and taste we left the fish untouched after getting a few bites . This is an interesting place to eat at. Loved it. If you like pork that is. The staffs are friendly and accommodative but strangely do not accept credit card so be prepared with cash or bank transfer. Loved everything we ordered. The pork knuckle was generous. The skin was heavenly crispy and the meat was delicious even though a tad dry. The milkfish tasted fresh and fried well. The most surprising was the deep fried intestine. Crispy and chewy, it was an unbelievable treat. Coupled with the pork soup with preserved veggie, the whole meal was an incredible dining experience. The soup had a light but tasty flavour, with thick delicious pork. Whereas the chicken adobo provided the much needed savoury gravy to compliment the other dry dishes. The dessert was also unique. A little too thick I felt, the sugar caramel but otherwise both of them yummy. It's deep fried though, so probably too unhealthy to be eaten at regular intervals

Comfortable room with beautiful interior equipped with everything that you'd need (loving the little details: turning on the aircon for us before check-in, providing powerbank, luggage storage, cartons of water bottles, extra toiletries). This hotel we checked into was selected by my wife. It was a fine pick indeed! The is a bit of a climb up the shady flight of stairs since there is no lift. Don't let the exterior of the place fool you. The inside is very posh and clean. It is very quiet except when the church next door starts their band practice. Water heater was good, almost everything was provided without asking. The TV wasn't working properly but the attendant boy working there solved it at 2 am within a few minutes. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Great job!

Rooms are small but very beautifully decorated in modern European style. For the price, the rooms are like 5 star hotel. The decor is very beautiful. There is no lift or service staff, and the rooms are on 2nd floor, so you have to carry your own luggage. The hotel mainly works on self checkin and self checkout policy. The locality is average, but KFC and other restaurants are at walking distance.

Really beautiful, comfortable rooms and a great location for getting wherever you need in Kota Kinabalu. Great aircon, powerful shower, clean bathroom, lockable drawer and a fridge all included. Slightly noisy on the first night from the local pub, but earplugs were provided. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they kindly offered free luggage storage overnight whilst we went on a trip. Would absolutely recommend!

Cozy room come with excellent services. They will send a message to ask if we have any dissatisfaction, something that other hotel seldom do. Only drawback is the need to walk up the staircase but no a major issue. The staff can help to carry the luggage up to the apartment if we request it.

The server gives you generous amount of nasi campur. Each dish was tasty and and theres many choices. The pattaya fried rice's omelette was thin but yummy, and not much meat in the rice too. The salted fish fried rice was good, just lacking wok hey taste. Coffee was too sweet.
