Ibirapuera Park is a renowned urban park in Sao Paulo, often compared to Central Park. It offers a serene escape from the bustling city, with beautiful landscaping and architecture designed by Oscar Niemeyer. The park features museums, a planetarium, auditoriums, and recreational areas with bike paths and courts. Despite being highly urbanized, it provides an opportunity to experience Brazilian nature with diverse native fauna and flora.
Went to Sao Paulo for work and visited this park. Its a perfect oasis in middle of bustling traffic muddled city. It has few lakes, jogging tracks and cycling tracks. Wonderful views of city skyline. Museum entrance is also near gate 10. Small kiosks all around the park selling coconut water and other refreshments.
Jaimin G — Google review
Largest park in the city, it has nice roads for running and walking along with bicycle lines. It has a lake with River with plenty of grass areas to just sit and relax. We enjoyed it in a sunny day on Sunday and lots of people go to exercise and work out. Lots of local people just enjoying with their families Park has plenty of small stores to get snacks, water and natural coconut water which is great, however did not see a larger restaurant to get meals, just mobile spots for quick grab and go. There are public bathroom but can get crowded Green areas and well maintained although they could be better, trees are mostly tropical. There is a museum, planetary and Japanese site but did not go to those.
Living P — Google review
I truly had a memorable day here, filled with joy and discovery. The blend of sport, leisure, and art offered a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel nice. Don't miss the Biennale; it's a cool experience. Take a leisurely jog among the locals and relax by sipping fresh coconut milk straight from its shell—simple moments that can bring so much joy.
Máté S — Google review
We really enjoyed this park, went there for the visit one day and went back and walked almost around the entire loop. Love all the birds, ducks, Ingrids and other spices. We really enjoyed watching all the people get involved in different activities and plenty to do there for all ages, but I really loved looking at the fauna and the flora. The trees were incredible. I WOULD RECOMMEND
Cindy L — Google review
It’s an absolute pleasure to walk in this park but keep in mind it’s huge. Plenty of cafes and shops to buy a fresh coconut or any other drinks, lots of bench’s to sit and relax or just watch people performing different instruments in the nature. I saw a lot of families spending time here with kids or having a meal. Definetly worth walking around
Gabriela B — Google review
Lovely park with varied green spaces, you can hire a bike or quad style bike with separated lanes. There are plenty of stands for snacks and the ever present coconut water. There is a japanese garden and a planetarium and art gallery all located inside the park. Loads to do you can easily spend a whole day here.
Shenol L — Google review
I have to say this is one of the best parks I've ever been to. From coconut water stands, to acai spots, and great running tracks. A great place for grounding in a concrete jungle.

Beco do Batman, also known as Batman Alley, is a vibrant and compact area in Vila Madalena, Sao Paulo. It is famous for its cobbled alleyways adorned with colorful graffiti art. This spot boasts the highest concentration of street art in the city, featuring various styles from renowned Brazilian artists like Eduardo Kobra and Os Gemeos.
This was a pleasant surprise. This area was on our list of places to visit while in São Paulo but was low on our list. We finally visited on our last day as a “time killer” before the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Fun neighborhood with great energy, fun art everywhere and good food options. We visited during the week and mid day. It was not busy and very comfortable. I would recommend it.
Scott M — Google review
Beco do Batman in Vila Madalena is a must-see if you like street art or just want to feel São Paulo’s creative pulse. It’s not big—just a few alleys—but every wall is alive with murals that change constantly. Some are loud and political, others just wild bursts of color. The art isn’t locked behind glass; it’s raw, textured, and right at your fingertips. It can get crowded, especially on weekends when photographers, tourists, and live painters all pack the space. But that’s part of the vibe—it feels more like a living, breathing gallery than a tourist stop. Go early in the morning if you want cleaner shots and fewer people. Good shoes help on the cobblestones.
Gaurav J — Google review
I visited Beco do Batman last weekend with two co-workers, and it was such a memorable experience. The entire alley is alive with color, energy, and creativity—every wall is covered in incredible street art that feels more like an open-air gallery than just graffiti. We spent a lot of time wandering, taking photos, and just admiring the constantly changing artwork. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with locals and visitors mingling, and plenty of small cafés and bars nearby to grab a drink afterward. It’s also easy to explore on foot, and you’ll find new details around every corner. If you’re in São Paulo, I’d absolutely recommend adding Beco do Batman to your list. It’s not just sightseeing—it’s an experience that captures the city’s artistic spirit in such a fun way.
Norm N — Google review
Beco do Batman is an incredible open-air gallery and one of São Paulo’s most vibrant attractions. The walls are covered with ever-changing street art, showcasing everything from bold graffiti to detailed murals, making every visit feel unique. It’s a fantastic place to walk around, take photos, and appreciate the creativity and talent of local and international artists. The neighborhood also has plenty of cool cafés and shops nearby, which adds to the experience. A must-see spot for anyone visiting São Paulo!
Jason O — Google review
Cool area with lots of food stalls and interesting bars on the street. It gets very busy but definitely worth a visit and sit outside to watch the world go by.
Justin — Google review
A definite must-visit in Sao. The street art is absolutely amazing and there are a few bars where ypu cna chill and relax. Make sure you visit early in the morning as it can get crowded later during the day.

Italian restaurant
Bar
Terraço Itália is an elegant Italian restaurant located on the 41st floor of Edificio Italia, a 46-storey skyscraper in Sao Paulo. The restaurant offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city and is known for its upscale, candlelit ambiance. It features a piano and offers a wide selection of Italian cuisine and wines. While it may be expensive for a full meal, visitors can still enjoy the stunning views by sitting at the restaurant bar.
We only paid for a ticket to the observation deck. This include a drink. Spectacular views and a good way to get an impression of Sao Paulo. One thing that is typical to all Brazilian places to visit is that there is a total lack of information. It is not very clear how to get to the top and our the ticket works. So they always want to find somebody who speaks English to explain it. For us that's not really necessary but they insist.
Cornelis A — Google review
Food was good, but not the best I had. Lovely atmosphere and great views, a really romantic place to spend an evening at. Great service too, apart from a server taking away my unfinished cocktail without asking 🤷‍♀️to add, we went to the bar afterwards and the service went down significantly, no one took our order, no server once looked at our table, we asked one server if he could take a photo of us and he couldn't find 5 seconds to do so... Completely opposite service than in the restaurant. The entertainment were great in both. Piano playing and singing in the bar.
Zaneta B — Google review
Not Impressed with the food or atmosphere. We asked for a window seat and didn’t get one instead we get sat next children 🤦‍♂️. You can get much more for your money in Sp elsewhere. Trust me.

Located in the heart of Sao Paulo, Farol Santander is a 35-floor skyscraper that offers a variety of cultural experiences and stunning city views. Formerly known as the Banespa building, it now houses the Farol Santander museum, featuring art exhibits and unique dining options like Cafe do 26 and Boteco do 28. The top floors culminate in an observation deck providing breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline.
You can enjoy a 360-degree view of the city of São Paulo! During my visit, I experienced some fascinating exhibitions about the city's history and its banking system. This month featured showcases on the history of motorbikes and contemporary art. We took a quick two-hour tour, but if you prefer a slower pace to fully take in the exhibits, you could easily spend three hours exploring. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! We visited on a Friday at 12:30 PM and stayed until 2:00 PM. After that, we went to an underground bar!
Yumi N — Google review
A must-visit cultural hub in São Paulo’s historic center! This beautifully restored landmark blends art, history, and stunning city views from its observation deck. Exhibits are engaging, though some floors feel underutilized. The rooftop bar is perfect for sunset drinks. A bit pricey, but worth it for the experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
Gabriel B — Google review
I wouldn’t say this is a must-see in São Paulo unless you’re really out of things to do. The observation deck is on the 26th floor of the Farol Santander building, and while it offers a 360° view, it’s fully enclosed with glass panels, which makes taking good photos pretty tricky. We went around 4 PM, and the view just wasn’t that impressive — at that height, you don’t get a great cityscape or skyline feel. For a city this big, I expected something a bit more striking.
Andrew G — Google review
Farol Santander was a great surprise on our trip. The viewpoints from the 26th floor were really nice. The art exhibits were well done and engaging. I wish there was more English on the history exhibits on the lower floors - speaking no Portuguese we waltzed right through them. Overall I highly recommend this very eclectic experience.
Jonathan D — Google review
Farol Santander in São Paulo is an incredible mix of history, culture, and breathtaking views. Housed in a beautifully restored Art Deco skyscraper, this iconic building offers something for everyone. The exhibitions inside are diverse, ranging from contemporary art to the history of São Paulo, and they’re always well-curated and engaging. One of the highlights is the observation deck on the top floor, where you get stunning panoramic views of the city—perfect for photos! There’s also a charming café where you can relax while soaking in the atmosphere. Whether you're into art, architecture, or just exploring unique places, Farol Santander is a must-visit.
Jenny N — Google review
Great views with some really cool experiences to look at along the way down. Very affordable, very clean and very well guided. We didn’t have a wait, everything felt very safe and easy to get to. The place has different exhibits as you go down each level from the top, which I heard change every so often.
Brandon H — Google review
Great place to visit with temporary exhibitions as well as an exhibition about the building itself.
Karl — Google review
Wow, this lighthouse that served as the HQ of the Saō Paulo bank now is an incredible place to visit. With multiple floors that host a bar and restaurant at the top, observation deck, a skate park, art and museum exhibitions, and a historical museum showcasing the former offices housed in the building. One of the coolest places is the bar underground in the former vault. One can easily buy tickets in the gorgeous lobby and take the elevator the top.

Great view from the roof top. You don't need to book ,but you need to book on line when you arrive. I had trouble with this as it would not accept my phone log in as from a foreign country. Staff was so helpful with this and put us in front of the queue.

Man, I love this place. Must visit for everyone in São Paulo. This is a place maintained by companies in Brasil to help their employees chill and enjoy activities and learn new things at a reasonable or free of cost. To enjoy most activities you need to be a member but I think to visit the place you don't need one. Also, must go to the 17 floor, you will know why. Avoid weekends, it can get too crowded.
Lionel C — Google review
I came here on my first morning in São Paulo straight from the airport as I could not check-in at my hotel yet. They were so nice and accommodating to let me in even with my big bags. Probably they understood that I was a tourist. So I hang out at the rooftop cafe for a few hours while waiting for my check-in time. The view was great. It gives you the view of the south end of Avenida Paulista and you’d realize what a massive concrete jungle São Paulo really is. And it’s great for taking pictures. The cafe did not much variety on its menu but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. And unlike most of the rooftop/viewpoint restaurants and cafes in São Paulo that charges a fee just to get in and have expensive menu, this one was free to get in.
Dani — Google review
System there has changed. No longer we can enter 17th floor without reservation ;( for 16th floor, you don't need to reserve a table. Just go to 16th floor and order foods and drinks and take a seat. You can still see nice view from the 16th floor but not as nice as before when it didn't require us to make a reservation in advance but could go up to 17th. However, foods and drinks are very nice there. And price is super fair. Much cheaper than any other cafeterias in Paulista.

The Pinacoteca de São Paulo stands as a testament to Brazil's rich artistic heritage, making it one of the country's oldest and most significant art museums. Nestled in a stunning neoclassical structure originally designed for the School of Arts and Crafts, this museum showcases an impressive collection that ranges from 19th-century Brazilian paintings and sculptures to contemporary works. Its history is intertwined with various historical events, including conflicts in the early 20th century, which adds depth to its narrative.
Beautiful art museum! Museum has 3 levels, there is also a balcony on the front and back of the building on the 3rd level that has a nice view of the street and in the back a nice view of the park. I would make sure that if you are outside in the street don’t stay for long or take your phone out at all. There are many many homeless people in the area that steal from people regularly.
Brandon H — Google review
Definitely worth paying R30 for this museum as it has so many exhibitions and they were all amazing! The exhibitions were also in English and made it so much easier for us to enjoy! The ticket also includes the contemporary art in another building. We ended up spending over 2 hours here but could’ve easily spend half a day here. Highly recommend this to everyone!
James P — Google review
I enjoyed this art museum. It has a nice mix of old art and contemporary art. The only artist I actually knew about before visiting is a Rodin statue. But it was fun to learn more about Brazilian artists. I was hoping to visit some other art museums but all the other museums were closed on Monday...But the Pinacoteca was open! They get an extra star just for being open on the day I was in town. The gardens around the museum are beautiful and peaceful. But the restaurant had a long line so I did not get to eat there.
Daniel K — Google review
I loved this gallery. The exhibits are diverse, well curated, and educational for those new to Brazilian artists. There’s a cafe and shop worthy of stops, too. Highly recommend!

Museu do Futebol is a unique sports museum located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It stands out as the only museum in the world exclusively dedicated to football, independent of any specific club. The museum features a multimedia collection, interactive exhibits, and references to significant moments in Brazilian history during the 20th century. With an investment of R $32.5 million, it has become one of the city's major tourist attractions.
The tour around the museum is short, bit it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a football fan. The history is quite something and there's a souvenir shop on the spot.
Filip M — Google review
Great museum about all aspects of the sport, in all its varieties and historical significances. I think it's worth the visit even for people who don't particularly like the sport in itself. The museum explains the particular Brazilian culture of the football in the bairros. Women's football is also talked about a lot. At the end of the museum, you can make some attempts to score goals yourself. The store on the side is also very varied!
Arne S — Google review
A really good football museum, but be aware that a lot of things aren't translated into English. It's also sustainable for kids so if you have a family you can have for sure a nice interactive experience. I gave 4/5 stars because the museum don't offer english translation and it could be crowded of children. But it's still really interesting and a really good set up.
Vittoria B — Google review
The museum is an interesting place to visit for a few hours. There’s not much written in English, but you can download an audio guide using their free WiFi. Clearly it was great to learn how football was brought to the country by an English man! The exhibits are well constructed and informative. We also got lucky and watched a little football in the stadium that the museum sits in.
Tony P — Google review
I went there twice, and both times I was not disappointed. When I went with my father he was really happy to have gone. Lots of things to see, the evolution of the game, the cleats, the ball, history of all of the clubs in Brazil. Cool activities to try. Plus you can purchase any jersey of any team you like and personalize the jersey. Fun thing to remember the visit.
Willi S — Google review
Great place to visit if you like football & would like to learn about the history of the sport in Brazil. The museum has interactive games, videos & clips of fantastic moments of football. It’s worth a visit.
Mo H — Google review
It is an interesting museum about Brazilian football and worth visiting if you are a football fan.
Yuan Z — Google review
The museum’s interactive exhibits bring the beautiful game to life, showcasing Brazil’s rich football legacy through historic photographs, videos, and memorabilia. Highlights include sections dedicated to legendary players like Pelé, Garrincha, and Zico, as well as emotional moments like World Cup victories. The interactive displays, such as recreating the sounds of a stadium crowd, make the experience truly immersive. It’s not just about football—it also explores its impact on Brazilian culture, identity, and society. Whether you’re a football fan or just curious about Brazil’s greatest passion, the Museu do Futebol is a must-visit when in São Paulo.

The Museum of Art of São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, also known as MASP, is an iconic building that houses one of Latin America's most important art collections. Designed by Lina Bo Bardi in the mid-1960s, this glass-and-concrete gem is located on Avenida Paulista and offers a wonderful collection of European and Latin American art.
The Museum of São Paulo is a great place to spend a few hours if you enjoy history and culture. The exhibits cover many aspects of Brazil’s past and present, but the highlight for me was the art on the second floor focused on racism. It is powerful, emotional, and thought-provoking—something everyone should see. The museum is well-organized, easy to walk through, and gives you a deeper understanding of the city and its people. Definitely worth a visit.
Gaurav J — Google review
The long, Brutalist structure looms over Paulista Avenue, its weighty monumental form seemingly suspended on flaming-red concrete piers. More than just architecture, it’s an urban sculpture—bold, functional, and commanding. Beneath its vast undercroft, a public plaza unfolds, a space carved from the very air it hovers over. The top floor houses the museum’s permanent collection—where space and display become their own form of functional art. Hundreds of paintings—modern, avant-garde, contemporary, and classical—seem to float on crystal easels, creating an eerie, almost transcendental effect. This unconventional display allows viewers to see both the front and back of each piece, transforming them from static, two-dimensional works into dynamic, almost sculptural objects. It’s an experience that feels refreshingly out of the box. This museum is idiosyncratic and breathtaking at the same time. Highly recommended.
Eddie C — Google review
This might be the most exciting fine art museum I’ve ever seen — and not because of its extraordinary collection, but because of how the artworks are presented. Take a moment to read about why the architect chose to display them this way — it’s truly unique, and the experience stays with you long after you leave.
Máté S — Google review
Third time here, always a great experience. Tons of art from different time periods and cool exhibitions, and I love how the permanent collection in the “original” museum on the top floor is staged in clear boxes. Worth going every day but especially when free on Tuesdays!!!
Christian C — Google review
A great museum to visit in Sao Paulo. If you just have time only for one museum this should be the one. A stunning architectural structure by the modernist Italian born Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi finished in 1968. In the first and second floor the paintings are just hold by a very clever glass structure which makes them look like they are swing from above. The glass structure gives you also to see the back of the painting and enjoy the piece of art from every side. A very unique display and I must say the best way you can present paintings. A beautiful must see museum of Art which accommodates Picasso, Mattisse, Monet, El Greco, Velasquez, Rubens, Tintoretto, Max Ernst and many more.
Marios T — Google review
It's nice museum and worth visiting, only I think they could put little bit more things there.
Jallal — Google review
Perhaps the most iconic building of São Paulo, Lina Bo Bardi’s MASP was a total shock when it was constructed in the 1960’s. The unparalleled design mixes a suspended main body which frees up space for a public plaza which serves as well as the roof for two more floors that opens to the opposite side of Avenida Paulista. The iconic open space of the second floor’s gallery once again holds the Works of art in glass and concrete bases.
Carlos O — Google review
It's huge! A well done museum. They have a permanent exhibit upstairs and some seasonal exhibits on other floors. When I was there, the temporary exhibits were amazing wooden sculptures and Monet. 💸Buy your tickets ahead of time. Somehow we got in for free on a Friday night, but wr aren't sure if it was a special day or a menu option, so check around the ordering website.

When asking people what to do in São Paulo everybody recommended to visit the Teatro Municipal, we never expected such a treat. The building is beautiful and then I was informed that the orchestra was performing at 5 o’clock. We bought the tickets and enjoyed the wonderful performance. After the show we walked to de bar under the building for a drink and again we were delighted to listen a quartet playing. Great evening, highly recommended

Instituto Tomie Ohtake is a vibrant art space housed in a striking, curved building that showcases major exhibitions of contemporary art and design. Named after the influential Japanese-Brazilian informal abstractionist Tomie Ohtake, the institute offers an opportunity to explore her works and understand her practice within the context of artistic developments over the last six decades. The futuristic green, pink, and purple exterior designed by Ruy Ohtake makes it one of Sao Paulo's most recognizable buildings.
The building itself is a masterpiece of architecture—modern, elegant, and full of light. Even though I didn’t catch any exhibition, just walking through the space was worth the visit. It’s a place where the walls speak, even when the galleries are quiet.
Ulf D — Google review
My apologies to the artists, but most of this art is some of the lamest I've ever seen. Fluorescent light tubes on the ground, letters, circles, and scribbles. I've seen better art created by 3 year olds. Sure the eye of the beholder but my eyes were shut forcibly as every exhibit put me to sleep. Zzzzz. The only saving grace is the building itself.

We recently visited the Murakami exhibit and had lunch at Santinho, the restaurant in the institute. Both were well worth the visit. The exhibit featured a nice selection of recent work from Murakami. Most of the work shown here is part of a series that Murakami has developed since the tragic 2011 earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan’s pacific coast. They differ in subject matter from the artists earlier work, but they feature similar graphic treatments and exquisite attention to details. We really enjoyed it. Our lunch at Santinho was also delicious. They serve an awesome buffet with a mix of traditional Brazilian comfort food, with new creations using common Brazilian ingredients. The buffet includes salads, main course and even desert foods. There are a lot of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

The building is beautiful, a historic one. But it should be in a better condition. The history of the constructor is very interesting. He was a visionary. Nowadays 70% belong to the municipality, and the rest is occupied by businesses. Considering that Tokio Marine, an important insurance company, is responsible for the highest floors- 25+26- and now for quite a long time, it would be expected these floors would be in a better condition. But since it’s one of the most emblematic buildings in São Paulo, it has a great history, it is worth being visited.

Phil — Google review
The building is beautiful and the views are pretty great. But the organization of this is dreadful. I came today (Sunday), saw that the timings were for 13 and 1430- on the site and on a poster on the door. I came just before 1300, with about 12 people ahead of me. A couple people joined friends near the front some time after I did, but we were not taken as a group until 1400. Then each of us had to show ID and the guide asked us questions and wrote our info- by hand, it took almost 15 minutes. Then we had to wait in another line for 15 minutes for no reason, and only then were we taken to the top. A guide spoke to us for a few minutes and then we were led out to the terrace. There were metal barriers in front of the rails so it was harder to get a really good view. Which I found pointless as there were only 15 of us and a guide and 3 guards. Not only that but only maybe half of the terrace was open for viewing. We were only allowed about 5 minutes on each side of the terrace. I've been to many lookouts in several parts of the globe and I've never had such a frustrating experience. I would prefer to pay an entrance fee and have more tours, waiting for an hour for a limited experience was almost not worth it.
Sal D — Google review
It used to be better, without the railings and with less hassle, but it’s still one of São Paulo’s best views, and even better that the view from the neighboring Farol Santander. Also, it’s free! I recommend that you reserve your tickets beforehand online.

To celebrate a birthday of my husband we booked in advance the tea room for 26 adults ! We were very disappointed with what we remembered a few years ago of the service that the dar call the English Tea party ! The service was terrible , at 3 o’clock without announcing anything they put on a sideboard , 3 tea pots . No one knew if you had help yourself or somebody was coming to serve you . Some saw the tea pots and went to help themselves ; what was the tea pots was water for tea but cold , Coffee also cold and Hot chocolate , that was also cold …,,The service was poor because there was One waiter for our event who had also to take care of the guests that were seated on the other tables who were not our guests ….! It was a mess!!!! At the end of the two hours that was supposed to last the party the started serving the English pastry , that was the only thing that reminded us of the English Tea that they used to serve 25 years ago ! And they brought the sweets just when the people were leaving ……..What a disappointment for us and for the guests !!

Grand Hyatt São Paulo is a luxurious 5-star hotel located on Avenida das Nações Unidas, offering stunning views of the Octavio Frias de Oliveira Bridge and the Pinheiros River. The classic and elegant rooms feature modern amenities, spacious windows, and well-appointed bathrooms. Guests can enjoy Japanese cuisine at Kinu restaurant and Brazilian food at C-Cultura Caseira.
Stayed at the Hyatt for a conference. The property and service are great. Nonetheless, I will not rate location, only because it is not recommended to go out on foot and anything by car takes a long time. None of this is the problem of the hotel, it seems to be a Sao Paulo issue.
Karla Z — Google review
Apparently the hotel is under renovation. I was very disappointed in the standard of service for a five star hotel. Perhaps because I came for a conference at a different room rate and I did not upgrade to club status I am getting subpar service. My room was not cleaned until after 2pm and then they took my soiled towels, but did not replace them. In addition, my credit card number changed between when I reserved in January and when my meeting was happening in May. So a week before, while I was traveling elsewhere they threatened to cancel my reservation and wanted me to email them my credit card number. I was uncomfortable with that and instead updated the payment method in the World of Hyatt app. However, the app did not let me enter my security code. So the payment was declined. Sitting in a barebones lodge in Amazonia I had to made several calls and exchange emails (no What’s app) to get the item resolved, delaying me from other activities. I am tired and grumpy and the staff have been cheerful and polite, but the service does NOT compare to other five star hotels in Brazil. The night before I stayed at the Unique and they gave me treats and turn down service. No such thing here at the Grand Hyatt. Definitely a three star experience.
Lisa U — Google review
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo! We originally booked a standard room, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite with an amazing view from the window — truly a highlight of our stay! The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time. The staff were kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The only small downside was that the elevators were a bit slow, but that’s a minor thing compared to everything else. I’d especially like to thank the team at the Club Lounge on the 20th floor — such a great space to relax and enjoy the view. A special shoutout to the waitress with the braid — she was extremely professional, warm, and attentive. Her service really stood out! The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is a bit far from the main international airport, but if that’s not an issue for you, I highly recommend staying here.

Overall for the value of points with Hyatt, it was a good stay. The rooms are a bit dated but I did appreciate the birthday cake for the week long birthday celebration. The lounge access bar and menu were solid. Highlights included the fresh and made to order omelets for breakfast and the delicious passion fruit Caipirinha. Location is okay but definitely in terms of tourist attractions, would not recommend because the traffic is horrible.

The rooms and its amineties, specially the soaps are very good. Both room n bathroom are huge and spacious. Water follow was fast. Cleanliness was very good of housekeeping. Drinking water was available in the room. Staff at the bar, reception n even the room service staff was excellent. Taxi was available very fast or on call. Food was tasty, though we just had the breakfast in in-room dinning. Gym is huge n so is the swimming pool. The view on the river side has a river view along with a bridge view. Reception, helpdesk and room service would understand English. But there was only one draw back, that they had only 1 Italian restaurant. They had no coffee shop for 24 hours n so if u want some regular or simple food like bread, rice, curd, fruit platter, etc, then that they would not be able to serve u in the restaurant. U will need to order only for the room for that n if u have checked out then u cannot get any desired food.

The Hyatt is by far my favourite hotel in Sao Paulo, especially for business travels. Everyone (arrival, lobby, lounge, spa, restaurant etc.) is super kind and helpful at all times and made me feel at home very far away from home. Loved the lounge, the rooms are the best I've seen in comparison to other 5star hotels in SP, gym is top, great pool and sauna.. does not lack anything. Only the location is perhaps not the greatest when visiting for tourism purposes as it is a bit off from the buzz but for me it was always fine with Uber etc. And room service didn't wow me, so mostly opted for the lounge. In sum, the Hyatt will always be my first choice in Sao Paulo!
Silvia — Google review
The hotel is in a nice location in the new financial district of the city. Check in was smooth and the room was pretty nice. The main reason for my 3 stars is the breakfast service and food. Food is standard fare that you would find at any standard Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt hotels in the US. The miost uoseting thing is my omelette order that I placed with the waiter came in 20 minutes later even though I was the 2nd person to come for breakfast. I asked for only veggies in my omelette but my order came with ham. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct omelette. This one experience really stained my experience and I am staying here only for 2 nights. Sia was ok - for some reason, the swedish massage really didn't do it for me even though the masseur was nice and provided the right amount of pressure.

$300 was stolen from my wallet by a hotel housekeeper on Sep 15th 2025. I had $500 in my wallet that was in my suitcase. This person replaced three 100 dollar bills with three 1dollar bills. Also this person stole a bunch of my snacks and candies that were on the desk lol. Never leave your suitcase open&unlocked if you ever have to stay in this hotel!!!

Palácio Tangará, a luxurious hotel in the upscale Morumbi neighborhood of São Paulo, is a haven of elegance and refinement. Set amidst 26 acres of lush rainforest, this neoclassical mansion offers a serene retreat just 10 miles from the city center. The interior exudes understated sophistication with its pale yellows, grays, and vintage furniture.
My partner and I attended a wedding here at the Palácio Tangará which was absolutely incredible, but what really made it memorable was the service we received. Ataniel went above and beyond for us and was so kind and helpful. He made an already phenomenal evening unforgettable.
Cerys L — Google review
We are American's that received terrible service and hospitality. It ruined our wedding anniversary. Reception manager was arrogant and rude. So bad we went home. We are two Americans living in Brazil and were excited to spend our wedding anniversary at what seemed like a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. Prior to our stay, we received a phone call and an email to arrange our stay, but neither one mentioned that we would need to bring our government identification to check in. When we arrived, my husband had his, but I didn't have mine. We have been living back and forth in the States and Brazil for years, and I have always been able to check in other hotels with a picture of my ID. I don't carry my physical identification unless I know I need it because, unfortunately, in Brazil there is a high chance of getting robbed. When we tried to check in the manager at the front desk told us that there had been an email sent informing us of the requirement to bring a physical ID and that there was a law and they couldn’t check us in without it. As foreigners living in Brazil, we were unaware of this law, and we were never informed of anything in their prior communication. My husband had to drive all the way back home to get the documents, enduring heavy traffic, which caused us to lose a significant amount of time (multiple hours). By the time he returned, we realized that staying the night had become pointless, given how much of our evening had been wasted. To make matters worse, the entire interaction with the reception manager (from start to finish) showed no empathy or willingness to make any accommodations. The biggest problem was his attitude that was condescending, cold and dismissive throughout, which left us feeling completely uncared for. When I presented the email that we received from the hotel THERE WAS NO INFORMATION ABOUT BRINGING IDENTIFICATION. I showed it to the manager and, he said, correct, there is nothing about identification here, but it’s the law and there is nothing I can do. He then smiled and quickly walked away and into a room and didn’t come back out. I understand that there is a rule, but the main point of complaint was how rude, cold and dismissive the manager was. We are foreigners and have no way of knowing this law. The manager acted like he didn’t care one bit that our night had been ruined. I told him that I would like to send a formal complaint about how everything was handled to his manager. He told me that I could send the complaint email to HIM, and that HE would forward it to his managers. That is Ridiculous. For a hotel that charges premium prices, you’d expect premium hospitality. Instead, we received service far worse than what you'd get at a Marriott or Hilton. Ultimately, by that time it was 10PM or 22 hrs, we decided not to stay the night and returned home, resulting in a ruined wedding anniversary. This experience left a sour taste, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality service and care. If you are American traveling and considering this hotel, don’t be deceived by the pretty pictures, you will have better luck in a hotel chain that has been vetted by the USA like the Hilton or Marriott.

Palácio Tangará is our absolute favourite hotel in São Paulo. The staff are always so kind and welcoming - they truly make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The service, the atmosphere, everything is just flawless. No faults at all. I honestly can’t wait to go back!

Truly an oasis amidst the concrete jungle. We had the pleasure of staying at Palácio Tangará on three different occasions during our vacation, and I can confidently say it lives up to its name and grandeur in the heart of Panamby. The service was flawless—whether at the front desk, room service, poolside bar, or spa—every detail was handled with care and attention. We will definitely be returning. Thank you, Tangará team!

Stunning hotel, tucked away in the midst of a city park. Well appointed and spacious rooms, clean and classy with amazing facilities. The Restaurant Jean Gorges has Michelin quality food with a wonderful sommelier - be warned, it’s not open Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. The main restaurant and pool bar are open everyday and also do great food and the terrace provides a beautiful setting for lunch and dinner.

We just stayed two fantastic days and nights at the Palacio Tangará. The experience was simply superb! The service experience impressed and the staff was very friendly, attentive, engaging and eager to please. They went out of their ways to make sure we enjoyed every minute of it. We used many od their services from the Spa (both days) to outside and inside bar and dined both nights at their Michelin Start Restaurant, which did not disappoint us. Thank you all for making us feel special! We will be back!

Av. Paulista is a bustling urban thoroughfare in Sao Paulo, known for its cultural institutions, museums, shopping malls, and banking centers. The approximately 3-kilometer-long avenue is one of the largest and most important streets in South America. It's home to iconic landmarks like the Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo Assis Chateaubriand and Monumento as Bandeiras. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of the city from Banespa building at sunset.
Definitely a huge street. Lots of big buildings (good for cool street pictures). Modern stores and restaurants here.

Paulista: The Heartbeat of São Paulo The most famous avenue in São Paulo vibrant, lively, and full of energy all day long. It’s lined with offices, cafés, museums, and street performers. Landmarks like MASP, Japan House, and Casa das Rosas are must-sees. On Sundays, the avenue closes to traffic and turns into a street festival of music, dance, and art. Even on weekdays, it never loses its rhythm. Between the tall buildings, you’ll also notice people living in tents a quiet reminder of the city’s social contrasts. Take a day to walk, listen, and observe. To understand São Paulo, start with Paulista. 🌿#PaulistaAvenue #SãoPaulo #TravelBrazil

Park
Parque Villa-Lobos, situated in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood, is a sprawling park that draws around 8,000 visitors on weekdays and up to 60,000 on weekends. Named after a renowned Brazilian composer, it spans 732,000 square meters and boasts a variety of attractions such as soccer fields, bike paths, playgrounds, an amphitheater and even a library.
Parque Villa-Lobos It was a great area to explore in Sao Paulo. There’s a lot of food options and activities inside the area. It was fun to run and do exercise inside the park. I was surprised that there is gym equipment, tennis courts, and a lot of things. When I visited, it was not that busy and there were families having picnics. I had an acai and burger which is near the entrance of the park. They also had water fountains in different areas.
Fredric J — Google review
This is an amazing park! Free entry with lots of great food vendors/trucks (I love the pamonha!), and a full library with a cafe. They have basketball, tennis, volleyball, and soccer courts, a playground, and an outer and inner path for running (the outer path is around 2 miles), walking, biking, etc. There are bycicles, skates, and 2 person bikes for rent at the front of the park as well. Visiting to this park is always a joyful experience. Whether you're there to get in a workout or spend time with your family, there is so much to experience!

Have space for both families and adults. Have plenty of playgrounds as well as sports areas including basketball court, exercise areas and so on. Bathrooms are lacking soap (the time I’ve visited) but overall pretty fun place to be.

I recently visited Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo on a rainy Sunday morning for my long run, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! This park is an absolute gem for runners and bikers alike. The 3.5 km / 2.2 mi loop provided the perfect track for my run, with scenic views and well-maintained paths. What's more, the availability of restrooms and a filtered water station made my experience even more convenient. And to top it off, vendors selling fresh coconut water were a delightful treat post-run. Rain or shine, Parque Villa-Lobos is the ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Five stars without a doubt!

Although the organizers underestimated the buzz and amount of people who were really interested on going to the WTA SP OPEN, which made it impossible for us, real WTA tennis fans, to buy all the tickets we wanted as everything was instantly sold, unfortunately, to scalpers, who clearly didn't even passed on all their tickets.... Even so, everything else worked fine, we could see that the organizers really tried to do the best they could for the players and spectators. We had a lot of fun and it was a really great experience seeing our Brazilian tennis idols and other professional players so close! The only thing that got me sad was that we didn't get to see Luiza's game because the court didn't have numbered chairs and it was too crowded!
Carolina P — Google review
A beautiful, big, dynamic park with tons of things to do and to walk around. There were lots of people jogging, training, taking selfies, biking around, having a delicious coconut, etc. There’s also the biggest wheel in Latin America apparently, or one of the biggest ones. And I also saw a super vintage and cute merry-go-round. The park is pet friendly, and families can enjoy picnics, small gatherings and much more!

São Paulo Botanical Garden, located within the Parque Estadual das Fontes do Ipiranga, is a sprawling 360,000 square feet rainforest housing 380 tree species for research and conservation. The garden boasts a diverse collection of 45,000 plants from various hot and tropical regions around the world.
It's amazing how many time it takes for Brazilians to buy a ticket at the ticket counter. But I think it is cultural... The botanical garden is nothing special to be honest. Actually, it looks like a park with some relics of what use to be a botanical garden. I was expecting wonderfull heliconias, bromelias and orchids, but unfortunately no big deal. The boardwalk was spectacular though. That's why it still earns 5*. We happened to see monkeys near the toilets in the back of the park.

Nice garden to spend a couple of hours in the morning in June. Was hoping for more plants and descriptions but overall still good value if you are into botany. Found out late. Shuttle to zoo only for those that buy combo tickets. Also hard to find anyone that speaks even little English including ticket agent.

If you don't own a car, but you want to connect con nature. This is agreat place to go. It is a botanical garden located in a rest of Mata Atlantica forest. You may go by Uber or even by public transport.

Absolutely beautiful oasis of peacefulness. The garden is very well maintained. Some areas are kept wild like the trail at the end of the garden, which adds to the atmosphere. There you can enjoy a piece of the Atlantic rainforest right in the heart of the city. Another great thing about this garden is that you can spot some wildlife, including monkeys and even toucans. Although rare, it took me three attempts to be able to see one, they can be spotted in the garden. I would recommend coming right when the garden opens and to look for fruiting palm trees. They generally mingle there.

A stylish spot for a drink with a view This place is perfect for enjoying a well-made drink in a visually stunning setting. The decor is absolutely gorgeous, with attention to detail that makes it feel upscale and unique. When I visited, the music was fantastic - great vibe without being overpowering - and the view really is something special. It’s definitely on the pricier side, and it gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so expect a crowd if you're heading there during peak hours. I had the best time hiking in this park. The small paths in the jungle were filled with interesting plants, fungi, and caterpillars of all colors and sizes. Watch out for the green one - it is venomous. We spent 4 hours exploring the park, and I enjoyed every second. We didn't see any animals, such as monkeys or coatis, but it was still worth going. There is a small cafe on the viewpoint, where you can buy a snack or coffee. I wouldn't recommend, as the cappuccino was cold and they didn't even mix the powder with water properly and served it with clumps, although we were the only customers :) The park is huge, and there's barely anyone (we visited on a weekday), so you can enjoy nature and walk through the park at your own pace.

Food was good but the lack of description on the menu makes it incredibly hard for people with dietary restrictions (then once you ask the waiter that the dish is made of they seem to have no idea). Service fee of 13% instead of the regular 10% felt like a ripoff considering the service we got.

Great rooftop in Sao Paulo center serving french food made by a French chef. Come for the food and obviously the menu. All selections cane out nicely and in a timely manner. Service could be slightly more attentive but in all fairness it became very busy for a friday lunch.

Pateo do Collegio is a historic site in São Paulo, originally the location of the city's first Jesuit mission established in 1554. Today, it has transformed into a multicultural space featuring attractions such as the Sao Jose de Anchieta Church, Anchieta Museum, Jesuit Museum of Sacred Art, Padre Antonio Vieira Library, and Cafe do Pateo.
………… Visiting the school-yard as the name says is real-lii a privileged experience, to be standing at the same spot where the founders stood more than 465 years ago when there was probably nothing but jungle here. At that time the Jesuits built a straw structure here. Today there is the beautiful Portuguese Colonial structure that was rebuilt in the ear-lii 1950’s and by the sheer condition of the building it portrays the importance this site and institution still has on the people who frequent and still make use of it. The place and the grounds surrounding it is pristine and in mint condition and the simple yet impressive plague on the wall dedicated to the Apostle Paul by the Jesuits……On the day of our visit here it was a religious public holiday in Sao Paulo in honour of the celebration of “CORPUS CHRISTI” so this venue was closed to the public as they were preparing for a Mass/Service as there was an Altar impressive-lii adorned for the occasion which was scheduled for later in the day, so we were unable to gain access to explore the inside and also see the museum of the city. On the same square just outside there is also the massive stone monument with an obelisk erected in honour of the first Jesuit-priest who administered to the people they came into contact with at that time. If you are in Sao Paulo this venue is a must visit place!......................

FAKE Historic!! Don’t be fooled by these ignorant reviews, although the architecture brings our imagination back to early colonial Brazil, it is nothing, but a replica from the 1970s. The original edification was demolished in the 19th century as it wasn’t imposing enough to house the government.
Sam B — Google review
Pretty and well maintained building with a beautiful garden. You can walk in free of charge.
Florian F — Google review
Undoubtedly the most charming original Jesuit mission built in 1554 as Sao Paolo de Piratininga in the Planalto/tableland of Piratininga between rivers Tamanduatei & Anhangabau.Despite its turbulent past in the aftermath of Jesuit Order being expelled twice from Brasil: first in 1640 but restored in 1653 and once again expelled in 1759 by Marques de Pombal/ Portuguese Gov. but restored by Pope Clement XIV in 1773. As expected the building was neglected and its subsequent dereliction plus changes it suffered as it was used as Government quarters. Adjacent to this is Sao Bento with a charming small chapel to the left where the life of Jose de Anchieta is chartered as he and Padre Manuel da Nobrega are honoured as they built and negotiated their arrival with the local Tamoios indians. Make sure you visit Museum and crypt as the exhibits of maps/ designs, Paulistinhas images, reliquias and do not miss the interesting Kamayura & Waura exhibits of arches, masks, pottery, axes, jewellery and ornaments, etc from the Xingu National Park.

This place is an amazing history lesson of the city. The main attraction is the museum that shows a series of maps of São Paulo since its foundation, plus a great collection of sacred art from the beginnings of Brazil as a country. The restored church is also worth seeing - the interior looks quite stunning.

A lovely square. Some homeless people around but if you act naturally and confidently all is well. Daytime is better. There area also guided tours. Free walks is a very good one. The Italian free walk guide Rocco is really good.

An historic place about the history of Sao Paolo. Unfortunately this place being downtown is not safe to go to. Be very careful with the surroundings.

Great coffee and service. As a charity linked to the church though they could do better for the homeless population around. For example, if you are not visiting the museum, you have to pay to use the toilets. They should provide basic services for the homeless community.

Parks
Trianon Park, also known as Lieutenant Siqueira Campos, is a city green space located just across from the MASP museum in Sao Paulo. Established in 1892, it is one of the oldest parks in the city and features an area of 48,600 square meters with remnants of the Atlantic Forest. The park offers various attractions including trails, playgrounds, an aviary, exercise equipment, and a walking/jogging track.
Gorgeous George is a renovated boutique hotel right in the heart of the city. It easy to get around but the neighborhood can feel a bit off at night, so you just need to stay cautious. The hotel itself is gorgeous and spotlessly clean, with a really friendly team that makes you feel right at home. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast! We spent 5 days in Cape Town, and each morning I was eagerly anticipating the delicious spread. Highly recommended!

Right in middle of towering buildings is this beautiful piece of rainforest jungle. The massive trees actually give you a feel of being in a forest. It's a really beautiful place.

A great respite from the hustle and bustle of the busy central São Paulo core. It’s a beautiful large urban park that has massive trees and lots of birds. There are plenty of benches strategically placed throughout the park to sit and enjoy the lush vegetation and/or the beautiful songbirds. Grab a takeaway coffee or bite to eat nearby and come enjoy its serenity. The vegetation is high enough to almost obscure the adjacent high rises.
Dan S — Google review
Very huge and green city park. Once you're inside, it doesn't feel like you're in a busy city. Good place to hangout and relax. Interesting concept of crossing the bridge over roads to the next half of the park. Playground for kids as well as free water machine that offers cold or room temperature.

Hard to do grounding here. They only have three spots that you can seat and put your feet on the ground. The other seats, you have to put your feet on top of the iced rocks! They need a neuroarchitect that understands human needs!

…......Right in the heart of the business & residential area you will find this gem of a place it’s more of an encounter then an experience! When you enter here you’re overwhelmed by the sheer acknowledgment that this is paradise. And it’s been here since 1892 since it was opened, this year they celebrated 127 years of existence. Even the air you breathe in here in different. What an extraordinary idea it was to preserve a small portion of what was here when the founders arrived in the area of São Paulo almost 500 plus years ago, lush Atlantic tropical dense forest. The municipality has taken great pains and effort to create a park par excellence. It’s super clean and the pathways are more like roads beautifully and very professional paved with crushed off-white rocks or some-kind of a tile. It’s easy to move around in here even if you’re elder-lii, disabled in a wheelchair. Children can safe-lii run around and they even have a playground for just that. You will even find security personal patrolling the park so it’s very during the day when visiting here. There are lots of benches placed around the park to take breaks. Lots of statues on display although the name-tags are well worn-out so it not always easy to know who they represent or what part they played in the history of São Paulo but never-the-less they do add character to the park. There is also a statue of a Faun inside near the main entrance and at the main entrance off Paulista Avenue is a huge statue of a Brazilian explorer. There are lots of banners depicting the by-gone years and what took place here. The park is massive and if I’m not mistaken I do remember our tour guide Fabio mentioning that this park occupies about 48000 square meters of land. It is such an iconic and spectacular area that is so much a part of São Paulo set aside for everybody to see and enjoy. This park has some major roads running through it and has walkway bridges across them for the public to access and move around free-lii. The entrance-fee to this park is free of charge. This is a must visit when in Sao Paulo, Brazil…………NB! By the way at the main entrance on the pavement they have a street market selling foods, hand-made goods and different kinds of jewelry. An Art-Gallery is also to be found right opposite the park’s main entrance………..

Memorial da América Latina, a vast outdoor complex designed by Oscar Niemeyer, showcases sculptures and an art gallery. The tragic fire incidents in São Paulo have caused irreparable losses to cultural monuments like Memorial da América Latina. Since the Butantan tragedy in 2010, MZUSP has undergone extensive renovations to enhance its security systems.
Amazing spot to take in some beautiful pieces of art and relax in the large plaza/courtyard. From the gallery to the public library, everyone is super welcoming and the free exhibits were fantastic. Some beautiful paintings and sculptures scattered around across both sides of the street. I was also there while they were holding a festival/concert and it was amazing with 40-50 different food trucks and a stage setup.

There's lots to see about Latin American culture, especially sculptures. I went to a concert and everything was really well organized and I quite enjoyed how it was done, lots of people attending with no inconvenience and enjoying themselves. There was food trucks and tents as well as a restaurant if you wanted to eat. And also booths to buy drinks. I'd definitely come back.

It was great visit. it was free entry. It was a neoclassical Manor built between 1942 and 1945, originally to house the former mayor of São Paulo (1934-1938) Fábio da Silva Prado and his wife Renata Crespi Prado. The house has been transformed in a museum where can be found part of the Sao Paulo story. Pictures, materials, cuttlety, several objets showing how the life was on the beggining of the 19th century. It was small exhibition but very interesting to time travelling to the past. And the museum has an amazing restaurant in their garden. It was more than worth for visiting!

A quite small museum in a beautiful building in A. Farida Lima (where you rarely find such nice architecture!), unfortunately you get the written information only in Portuguese language (we didn't visit the Globo-show, perhaps it's different there). By the way: The entrance is for free.

This is a lovely place. It is free for the most part and you get to see what life looked like some time ago. The building itself looks very good, and it is a fantastic place to visit if you want to know what mansions in São Paulo looked like several decades ago. It is also a quiet and calm place, a nice getaway from all the traffic and noise present on Avenida Faria Lima. The exhibitions and old furniture inside are not groundbreaking, there isn't anything that you wouldn't find in other museums or art galleries in the city, and this is what cost this place its fifth star in my review.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of São Paulo, the Solar da Marquesa de Santos is a captivating historic manor house that showcases an impressive evolution of architectural styles from the 18th century. Originally built in colonial style, this remarkable structure has undergone several renovations, resulting in its striking neoclassical facade. Inside, visitors can marvel at archaeological windows that reveal various construction techniques used throughout its history, from traditional rammed earth to modern brickwork.
…………This beautiful manor-house now turned into a museum the once residence of the Marquesa of Santos “Domitilia de Castro” show how this building has transformed since its beginnings in the 18th century. Lots of details are to be observed in the architectural works and also there are lots of details explaining the excavation works which took place over many years unearthing many artifacts of the possessions of this important lady in the history of Sao Paulo. There are bits of cups, plates and many more things like keys etc, etc. Some of the original brick-works are preserved and framed out so visitors can have a glimpse of how it was back in the day. Many statues lay on the floor in the foyer so one has an understanding of how well this place must have been decorated in its interior and exterior grounds. An intriguing museum with the entree-fee being free of charge. It’s worth a visit as it’s only a stones through from the founders square…..

Nestled in the vibrant Liberdade neighborhood of São Paulo, the Museu Histórico da Imigração Japonesa no Brasil offers a captivating journey through the rich history of Japanese immigrants in Brazil. Established on June 18, 1978, to mark the 70th anniversary of this significant migration, the museum showcases an impressive collection exceeding 97,000 artifacts.
Cost R$20 for adults. Pay on 7th floor. They give you a receipt/ticket which you need to enter the Exhibitions, which are on floora 7, 8, & 9. The displays are in Japonese, Portuguese, and English. I have visited dozens of museums across the globe, and this one is very wepl organized, informative, and creative. You will spend 30 mins to 1 hour on each floor. There are videos throughout. Restrooms on 7th, 8th, & 9th floor. Museum shop and small cafe on 9th floor.

Went on a Wednesday and it was free for us! Got to know so much about the Japanese-Brazilians history and learned a lot! The staff were very friendly! The museum wish very organised and has English for almost 90% of the exhibitions! Very impressive and definitely recommend this to everyone!

An informative museum that offers wonderful insight into the history of Japanese immigrants in Brazil. It consists of 3 floors (starting on Floor 7) that bring a visitor chronologically through the reasons of immigration, the hardships faced, the impact of WWII, and recognition/assimilation. The top floor is reserved more for modern events and there's even a small cafe there. The exhibits are informative with replicated displays, pictures and videos, and translations of Portuguese into Japanese and English. It is free to visit on Wednesdays, but the entry fee is reasonable at R$16. One will need to keep their paper receipt throughout the exhibit as each floor has a scanner and turnstile one needs to go through

It's an interesting place if you are into history otherwise it's an ok ok place. You get to see the day to day things used by Japanese 100 yrs back in Brazil and you get to see lot of old photos with lot of readings. You can spend 1 to 2 hrs based on your appetite for knowing the history.

A well-designed museum with detailed information and documents about the over hundred-year history of Japanese immigrants in Brazil. I think it's an impressive and useful museum. Just point that can be criticised is the lack of English translation in the some areas.

Great museum that explains how the Japanese people immigrated to Brazil, with special focus to São Paulo region. It shows the hardships they've been through on the early half of the 20th century and how they overcame it, highlighting the great figures that made it happen. It has many pieces of that history, from a reconstruction of the ship that brought the first folk here to a recreation of the house of a field worker. Definitely worth visiting.

Really interesting museum, it’s well done. It shows everything and the information are always in English, Portuguese and Japanese. Highly recommended to the people that want to know more about the Japanese immigration in Brasil and how it’s developed during the year until now.

Located in the heart of Sao Paulo, Caixa Cultural São Paulo offers easy access to several attractions such as Catedral Metropolitana de Sao Paulo and Liberdade. This cultural addition to Av Paulista provides a fantastic free view of the avenue from its 17th-floor terrace. The venue features various exhibitions showcasing Brazil's currency history and other historical artifacts across different floors. It's a great place for families, with engaging exhibits suitable for children.
Lots of antiques, very original. There were no other people there, just me!! Make sure to check out the virtual reality exhibit on the first floor! It was amazing.

A nice look into the past of a very important piece of brazilian history. The 6th floor has some very interesting things! There you can see the old bills that we were used here! It also has a very very nice view to Sé Cathedral
Brena R — Google review
Very impressed by this small cultural centre downtown. The exhibitions of that day where very well balanced and even my 3 yr old son was enjoying walking around. All for free and even a free music show for children.

The collection of old banking related apparatus is interesting, but the building lacks the splendor of some of the others in the area.

A gorgeous building. Quite impressive. Staff were very helpful as my Portuguese is minimal. Explaining the exhibitions etc. Well worth the visit.

Nestled in the vibrant Higienopolis neighborhood, the Museu de Arte Brasileira (MAB FAAP) is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. This remarkable museum boasts an extensive collection of 2,500 to 3,500 pieces, showcasing a diverse array of artworks including stunning marble and steel sculptures. Visitors can immerse themselves in Brazilian artistry with notable works from celebrated artists like Portinari and Di Cavalcanti.
The general admission is free, and special exhibitions like Dali's requires tickets. The building is very nice, and during weekdays it's no busy at all. Arriving by car you going to find a parking lot under the museum, and there are some others close and cheaper. Getting by Publix transportation is a bit challenging, closest subway stations are more than half mile far, with steep hills. Expect to stay at least a couple of hours.
Ricardo U — Google review
Got to see the “free” portion of this museum and it was very underwhelming. The statutes and stained glass are the only attractions. There are extremely bare walls on the mezzanine begging to display something, yet they are drenched in white paint. However, it is accessible.
Debbie — Google review
A small free museum showcasing rotating art. The lobby has some really nice stained glass art as well as some old church paintings. It’s worth stopping by if close to the area and just walking by, it’s not worth going to for the museum itself. Only street parking. Have to go through security to get in, but that’s very standard of Brazil. So, world class museum, no. But free and quaint.
Jacob K — Google review
Main entrance has a very steep ramp, not wheelchair friendly slope. Wheelchairs lined up on one wall but you have to go down 3 flights of stairs to leave your bags... How? If you decide to use the building's parking garage, there is yet another impossible ramp and no lift. It's one thing to instruct the staff to be accommodating. It's another entirely to actually have an accessible building.
Lud K — Google review
It’s a interesting museum in Sao Paulo closed to Pacaembu. It’s for free to see exhibition. You just tell reception that you want to visit museum, they allow you to enter and give you the badge. There are not many things, so you san see all less than 1hour.
Papipupenta — Google review
So beautiful paintings and artworks, quiet and cozy atmosphere, polite and friendly behavior of employees with respect, Free Entrance

Mercado Municipal de Pinheiros is a two-level market in the trendy Pinheiros neighborhood of Sao Paulo. It offers a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, local specialties, and diverse eateries. The market has been at its current location since 1971 but recently underwent a major renovation with renowned chefs opening their own stalls and restaurants. Comedoria Gonzales is highly recommended for its exceptional ceviche.
Wonderful local.market with great food options and plenty of fresh fruit and groceries. A great resource fruit food or fun.
Stuart B — Google review
Very nice and clean market that is very different than traditional markets I have been to. Very friendly vendors as well. Unless you are eating, you probably won’t spend more than 30 minutes here but it is worth stopping by if you are in the area.
Keith B — Google review
A very nice place to check out some of the Brazilian regional stuff as well buying fresh produces. The municipal market also has some restaurants ( italian, pizza, mediterranean). The place is very clean and well kept
Julia C — Google review
Great place for groceries, drinks, fruits, vegetables and great new restaurants! There are many options from ceviche, to pizza, to hamburgers, to local rice-and-beans-and-meat. Great place to buy draft beer, wines, nuts, cheese and so on. It has been remodeled recently. The surroundings have also had a wonderful improvement. A nice place to visit every day except Sundays. A sunny Saturday is a must!
Ricardo N — Google review
Lovely place, lots of options to buy food and try the culture from Brazil. My favourite part was definitely the food from Amazon. Highly recommend
Heloisa B — Google review
Well, to experience the very touristic experience it’s nice. If you don’t eat pork or mortadella don’t even go there
Vanessa R — Google review
Delish foods. Lots of meats and fish stalls. A lot of exotic fruits to buy. We got mortadela sandwiches and oysters. So tasty. It is a small market with kind of expensive prices. Come here if you want a yummy lunch and do some grocery shopping.
Cheryl M — Google review
Solid 4 stars. But can not say it’s a 5 star place because the prices seemed to be very expensive. There were a couple unique shops on the periphery of the market that were interesting. Again, very expensive. Difficult to figure out the parking situation there. There seems to be a parking specifically for the market but it’s very hard to find and access. We had to pay for parking around the block at a lot across the street. There are better markets in São Paulo.

The Altino Arantes Building, also known as the Banespa Skyscraper, is an iconic symbol of Sao Paulo. This Art Deco-style skyscraper was completed in 1947 and was once the tallest building outside of the United States. Designed by architect Plinio Botelho do Amaral, it features a distinctive 'wedding cake' shape with decreasing floor diameters and the flag of Sao Paulo State at its top.
What an awesome building that reflects the dreams and unity for the people of Sao Paulo, the exhibition and display rooms make it well worth a visit, beside the views from the lookout decks
Wboy74 — Google review
Absolutely love how they transformed this heritage building into observation deck, bar and exhibit complex. The bar in the basement worths a visit because that’s where the safe of the bank used to be. The observation deck on the top is impressive!
James — Google review
Great view and didn't take to long to go up. Once at the top there is a cafe as well as the balconies. Great uninterrupted views. The building has a lot of historic features too from it's days under Banespa
Andre W — Google review
Nice view over the city but a shame that the glass is dirty so it's difficult to take good photos. Also there are viewing platforms on 2 sides of the building but not 360 view. There's a cafe on the 26th floor which does various food and hot drinks or a bar/restaurant on the 28th floor.
Suzie G — Google review
Really nice the storyline of Sao Paulo's state bank. There's a nice coffee shop on the last floor. Lovely view, the art is unique, the history preserved and the construction beautiful.
Steffan R — Google review
The view of this iconic building in Sao Paulo's skyline is amazing. You can go up to the 23rd floor and admire the city's main buildings from the top, but the observatory area is a little tight and can get a little crowded. You can also lear a little bit about the history of the building, translated only in English. Admissions starts at R$10 up to R$20.
Otávio G — Google review
The views are limited by a glass, can be crowded but you still can get your view. Not 360 degrees view since it is only one side of the building and another across the coffee room. There are other attractions in the building that worth seeing. The coffee is okay, you don’t get view from the coffee but you pay an expensive price to have it.i wouldn’t go back… nothing special
Simone T — Google review
Awesome place to visit in downtown Sao Paulo. Great art exhibits and views from the top. The restaurant on floor 26 is also pretty good and, amazingly, not expensive.
