Monastery
Mosteiro de São Bento is a historic church and monastery located in the Bairro da Liberdade. The monastery, founded in the late 16th century, features an on-site bakery and a church dating back to 1910-22. Despite its austere exterior, the interior is adorned with rich paintings and 17th-century statues of St. Benedict and St. Scholastica carved by Agostinho de Jesus.
Was there for a quick look but turned out spent an hour there. This place is absolutely stunning. It’s gorgeous, peaceful, and many good words I could not think of. I recommend anyone who visits Sao Paulo please spend some of your time visiting this place! You will be grateful.

It's amazing how pretty it is. Also, nice place to buy some souvenirs. They have things that start at R$4,00.

Absolutely loved my visit to Mosteiro de São Bento in São Paulo! The nice architecture is truly breathtaking, with intricate details and historical charm that transport you back in time. 🏰 The great view from inside is simply stunning. The stained glass windows and ornate decorations create a serene and inspiring atmosphere. 🌟 Don't miss the Gregorian chants during the morning Mass, it adds a unique, spiritual experience to your visit. Inside, the peaceful ambiance and beautiful art make it a must see. Highly recommended for anyone visiting São Paulo! 👍

This historic monastery, dating back to the 16th century, offers visitors a unique blend of spiritual solace and architectural beauty. The Gregorian chants during morning mass provide a mesmerizing and soulful experience, transporting attendees to a time of profound peace and contemplation. The interior of the monastery is adorned with intricate artwork and gold-leaf detailing, showcasing the rich religious and cultural heritage of São Paulo. Visiting the Mosteiro São Bento is not only a step back in time but a chance to appreciate the quiet majesty and enduring spirit of this venerable institution.

A must see. It rivals the most grand you would see in Europe. Just stunning. I came to the Sunday mass for the chanting but it was less chanting and more traditional mass singing. Maybe they have the chants at a different time. We came early to sit in front and people were standing all around the sides by the start of service. We also picked up some cookies and a bread cake from the bakery. High recommend.
Ninette — Google review
It's the place where Bento XVI stayed when he visited Sao Paulo. It's easy to get there by subway and the mass on Sunday at 10am is great. There is a page on Instagram @brunchnomosteiro where you can make a reservation for a brunch after the mass. They also sell religious items and fresh baked bread but they don't accept cards. Only Cash. I highly recommend the visit. ☆☆☆☆☆
Luciano M — Google review
This was the best thing I saw in São Paulo, and the most impressive church I've seen in 20 years traveling around Latin America. Maybe the bar is low for both, but I found this place very moving and ethereal. If i lived in this awful city I'd visit the monastery on a regular basis to be reminded of what beauty means.

Ibirapuera Park is a renowned urban park in Sao Paulo, often compared to Central Park. It offers a serene escape from the bustling city, with beautiful landscaping and architecture designed by Oscar Niemeyer. The park features museums, a planetarium, auditoriums, and recreational areas with bike paths and courts. Despite being highly urbanized, it provides an opportunity to experience Brazilian nature with diverse native fauna and flora.
Went to Sao Paulo for work and visited this park. Its a perfect oasis in middle of bustling traffic muddled city. It has few lakes, jogging tracks and cycling tracks. Wonderful views of city skyline. Museum entrance is also near gate 10. Small kiosks all around the park selling coconut water and other refreshments.
Jaimin G — Google review
Largest park in the city, it has nice roads for running and walking along with bicycle lines. It has a lake with River with plenty of grass areas to just sit and relax. We enjoyed it in a sunny day on Sunday and lots of people go to exercise and work out. Lots of local people just enjoying with their families Park has plenty of small stores to get snacks, water and natural coconut water which is great, however did not see a larger restaurant to get meals, just mobile spots for quick grab and go. There are public bathroom but can get crowded Green areas and well maintained although they could be better, trees are mostly tropical. There is a museum, planetary and Japanese site but did not go to those.
Living P — Google review
I truly had a memorable day here, filled with joy and discovery. The blend of sport, leisure, and art offered a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel nice. Don't miss the Biennale; it's a cool experience. Take a leisurely jog among the locals and relax by sipping fresh coconut milk straight from its shell—simple moments that can bring so much joy.
Máté S — Google review
We really enjoyed this park, went there for the visit one day and went back and walked almost around the entire loop. Love all the birds, ducks, Ingrids and other spices. We really enjoyed watching all the people get involved in different activities and plenty to do there for all ages, but I really loved looking at the fauna and the flora. The trees were incredible. I WOULD RECOMMEND
Cindy L — Google review
It’s an absolute pleasure to walk in this park but keep in mind it’s huge. Plenty of cafes and shops to buy a fresh coconut or any other drinks, lots of bench’s to sit and relax or just watch people performing different instruments in the nature. I saw a lot of families spending time here with kids or having a meal. Definetly worth walking around
Gabriela B — Google review
Lovely park with varied green spaces, you can hire a bike or quad style bike with separated lanes. There are plenty of stands for snacks and the ever present coconut water. There is a japanese garden and a planetarium and art gallery all located inside the park. Loads to do you can easily spend a whole day here.
Shenol L — Google review
I have to say this is one of the best parks I've ever been to. From coconut water stands, to acai spots, and great running tracks. A great place for grounding in a concrete jungle.

Museums
The Museum of Art of São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, also known as MASP, is an iconic building that houses one of Latin America's most important art collections. Designed by Lina Bo Bardi in the mid-1960s, this glass-and-concrete gem is located on Avenida Paulista and offers a wonderful collection of European and Latin American art.
The Museum of São Paulo is a great place to spend a few hours if you enjoy history and culture. The exhibits cover many aspects of Brazil’s past and present, but the highlight for me was the art on the second floor focused on racism. It is powerful, emotional, and thought-provoking—something everyone should see. The museum is well-organized, easy to walk through, and gives you a deeper understanding of the city and its people. Definitely worth a visit.
Gaurav J — Google review
The long, Brutalist structure looms over Paulista Avenue, its weighty monumental form seemingly suspended on flaming-red concrete piers. More than just architecture, it’s an urban sculpture—bold, functional, and commanding. Beneath its vast undercroft, a public plaza unfolds, a space carved from the very air it hovers over. The top floor houses the museum’s permanent collection—where space and display become their own form of functional art. Hundreds of paintings—modern, avant-garde, contemporary, and classical—seem to float on crystal easels, creating an eerie, almost transcendental effect. This unconventional display allows viewers to see both the front and back of each piece, transforming them from static, two-dimensional works into dynamic, almost sculptural objects. It’s an experience that feels refreshingly out of the box. This museum is idiosyncratic and breathtaking at the same time. Highly recommended.
Eddie C — Google review
This might be the most exciting fine art museum I’ve ever seen — and not because of its extraordinary collection, but because of how the artworks are presented. Take a moment to read about why the architect chose to display them this way — it’s truly unique, and the experience stays with you long after you leave.
Máté S — Google review
Third time here, always a great experience. Tons of art from different time periods and cool exhibitions, and I love how the permanent collection in the “original” museum on the top floor is staged in clear boxes. Worth going every day but especially when free on Tuesdays!!!
Christian C — Google review
A great museum to visit in Sao Paulo. If you just have time only for one museum this should be the one. A stunning architectural structure by the modernist Italian born Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi finished in 1968. In the first and second floor the paintings are just hold by a very clever glass structure which makes them look like they are swing from above. The glass structure gives you also to see the back of the painting and enjoy the piece of art from every side. A very unique display and I must say the best way you can present paintings. A beautiful must see museum of Art which accommodates Picasso, Mattisse, Monet, El Greco, Velasquez, Rubens, Tintoretto, Max Ernst and many more.
Marios T — Google review
It's nice museum and worth visiting, only I think they could put little bit more things there.
Jallal — Google review
Perhaps the most iconic building of São Paulo, Lina Bo Bardi’s MASP was a total shock when it was constructed in the 1960’s. The unparalleled design mixes a suspended main body which frees up space for a public plaza which serves as well as the roof for two more floors that opens to the opposite side of Avenida Paulista. The iconic open space of the second floor’s gallery once again holds the Works of art in glass and concrete bases.
Carlos O — Google review
It's huge! A well done museum. They have a permanent exhibit upstairs and some seasonal exhibits on other floors. When I was there, the temporary exhibits were amazing wooden sculptures and Monet. 💸Buy your tickets ahead of time. Somehow we got in for free on a Friday night, but wr aren't sure if it was a special day or a menu option, so check around the ordering website.

The Catedral Metropolitana da Sé de São Paulo is a breathtaking neo-Gothic masterpiece that dominates the skyline of São Paulo. Constructed in the early 20th century, this monumental cathedral can accommodate up to 8,000 worshippers and visitors alike. Its stunning architecture features soaring spires and a Renaissance-style dome, making it an iconic landmark in Cathedral Square. Inside, you'll be mesmerized by exquisite stained glass windows sourced from France and Italy, which cast vibrant colors throughout the vast interior.
The Cathedral of was first started in 1589 in São Paulo Village. It has been demolished and rebuilt several times over the centuries. The current Cathedral was started in 1913 and completed in 1967. It's built with rare marble, granite, wood and stained glass. It has a dome shape entrance with a height of 92 meters. Better to visit with a guide.
Soudamini M — Google review
São Paulo Cathedral is a majestic neo-Gothic landmark in the heart of the city. Its soaring arches, intricate stained glass, and peaceful atmosphere offer a striking escape from the urban rush outside. Whether you’re into architecture, history, or just seeking a quiet moment, it’s well worth a visit.
Esrf G — Google review
It’s an impressive and beautiful landmark, worth visiting for its architecture and history. I recommend going with a local if possible as the surrounding area has a large homeless presence and I was approached by one person. That said, there was a visible police presence with about four police cars right in front of the cathedral which made me feel safer during the visit.
Marianne M — Google review
Sé Metropolitan Cathedral is definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone who loves to travel and explore historical landmarks. The front of the church is absolutely beautiful, it’s the kind of architecture that makes you pause and admire, especially if you're into photographing iconic places. It’s a must-visit for tourists and travel enthusiasts alike. That said, there are a couple of things that could really elevate the experience. The exterior colors have faded over time and the building would benefit from some maintenance to bring back its original charm. Inside, I found the lighting to be quite dim, which took away from the grandeur of the interior space. Aside from those issues, the rest of the experience is decent. If you’re in São Paulo and have an interest in churches or historical sites, it’s still worth a visit.
Sumit P — Google review
The cathedral itself is great, but there are a lot of homeless people around it. You should be mindful of the surroundings. The entrance to thr cathedral is free, which is also great.
Filip M — Google review
The São Paulo Metropolitan Cathedral, also known as Catedral da Sé, is located right in the city center of São Paulo. Originally constructed in the early 20th century, it recently underwent significant restoration to preserve its stunning neo-Gothic architecture. We just walked by and spent a few minutes inside, and the interior is truly majestic—full of intricate details and beautiful stained glass windows. From a distance, the cathedral’s twin spires and large dome make for a magnificent sight. Entry is free, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Andrew G — Google review

Sala São Paulo is a modern concert hall located in the Luz neighborhood, originally built as a train station hall in 1938. Renovated in 2000, it now features mezzanines, walkways, and 1498 seats. Instituto Tomie Ohtake is a vibrant art space housed in a striking, curved building that showcases major exhibitions of contemporary art and design. Named after the influential Japanese-Brazilian informal abstractionist Tomie Ohtake, the institute offers an opportunity to explore her works and understand her practice within the context of artistic developments over the last six decades. The futuristic green, pink, and purple exterior designed by Ruy Ohtake makes it one of Sao Paulo's most recognizable buildings.
The building itself is a masterpiece of architecture—modern, elegant, and full of light. Even though I didn’t catch any exhibition, just walking through the space was worth the visit. It’s a place where the walls speak, even when the galleries are quiet.

My apologies to the artists, but most of this art is some of the lamest I've ever seen. Fluorescent light tubes on the ground, letters, circles, and scribbles. I've seen better art created by 3 year olds. Sure the eye of the beholder but my eyes were shut forcibly as every exhibit put me to sleep. Zzzzz. The only saving grace is the building itself.
Jace T — Google review
An interesting cultural center close to where we were staying in SP. Great yet small current exhibit, plus a wonderful restaurant in the middle of the hall.

Interesting building, worth getting close to appreciate the architecture. The exhibition was a bit sad, though. Small and repetitive.

I went to the Tomie Ohtake Institute today and it was great fun, there were a few interesting art displays to look at. There is also a great restaurant/Cafe on the lower level with plenty of good food. There are also some great places across the road to eat. Entry was free

Modern art museum with temporary exhibitions. Quiet, clean, not crowded.

We recently visited the Murakami exhibit and had lunch at Santinho, the restaurant in the institute. Both were well worth the visit. The exhibit featured a nice selection of recent work from Murakami. Most of the work shown here is part of a series that Murakami has developed since the tragic 2011 earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan’s pacific coast. They differ in subject matter from the artists earlier work, but they feature similar graphic treatments and exquisite attention to details. We really enjoyed it. Our lunch at Santinho was also delicious. They serve an awesome buffet with a mix of traditional Brazilian comfort food, with new creations using common Brazilian ingredients. The buffet includes salads, main course and even desert foods. There are a lot of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

I went to an art exhibition and the place looked adequate for the occasion. There was a catering team serving drinks and appetizers so I guess it has a good infrastructure to hold these kind of events.

Beco do Batman, also known as Batman Alley, is a vibrant and compact area in Vila Madalena, Sao Paulo. It is famous for its cobbled alleyways adorned with colorful graffiti art. This spot boasts the highest concentration of street art in the city, featuring various styles from renowned Brazilian artists like Eduardo Kobra and Os Gemeos.
This was a pleasant surprise. This area was on our list of places to visit while in São Paulo but was low on our list. We finally visited on our last day as a “time killer” before the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Fun neighborhood with great energy, fun art everywhere and good food options. We visited during the week and mid day. It was not busy and very comfortable. I would recommend it.
Scott M — Google review
Beco do Batman in Vila Madalena is a must-see if you like street art or just want to feel São Paulo’s creative pulse. It’s not big—just a few alleys—but every wall is alive with murals that change constantly. Some are loud and political, others just wild bursts of color. The art isn’t locked behind glass; it’s raw, textured, and right at your fingertips. It can get crowded, especially on weekends when photographers, tourists, and live painters all pack the space. But that’s part of the vibe—it feels more like a living, breathing gallery than a tourist stop. Go early in the morning if you want cleaner shots and fewer people. Good shoes help on the cobblestones.
Gaurav J — Google review
I visited Beco do Batman last weekend with two co-workers, and it was such a memorable experience. The entire alley is alive with color, energy, and creativity—every wall is covered in incredible street art that feels more like an open-air gallery than just graffiti. We spent a lot of time wandering, taking photos, and just admiring the constantly changing artwork. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with locals and visitors mingling, and plenty of small cafés and bars nearby to grab a drink afterward. It’s also easy to explore on foot, and you’ll find new details around every corner. If you’re in São Paulo, I’d absolutely recommend adding Beco do Batman to your list. It’s not just sightseeing—it’s an experience that captures the city’s artistic spirit in such a fun way.

Beco do Batman is an incredible open-air gallery and one of São Paulo’s most vibrant attractions. The walls are covered with ever-changing street art, showcasing everything from bold graffiti to detailed murals, making every visit feel unique. It’s a fantastic place to walk around, take photos, and appreciate the creativity and talent of local and international artists. The neighborhood also has plenty of cool cafés and shops nearby, which adds to the experience. A must-see spot for anyone visiting São Paulo!

A wonderful place to visit. Food, culture, sport, classes, music, architecture. A fantastic amenity for the local area. Every city around should aspire to have places as good as SESC Pompéia.

Very interesting architecture and space. Tricky to move around if you don’t speak portuguese, but everyone was very nice and the vibe was very chill. You have food options if you feel like it.

Public facility with strict rules against photography. In one of São Paulo’s most significant pieces of architecture, you’d think they’d come to expect visitors excited to get photos of it. Expect different rules for different people. You cannot enjoy the architecture and security will not bother to communicate anything with you except that you have to leave when they finally find you exploring the building. We were told very pleasantly by the information desk that we could explore up to the 6th floor but security had different plans. Here are some phone photos that we snuck anyway.

Originally planned to be a public library, it was transformed into a multidisciplinary venue before its construction. Since its opening in 1982, it has offered various cultural activities such as theater, dance, music, visual arts exhibitions, film screenings, workshops and courses.
Great place to hang out. People outside laying on the grass reading books and socializing. Kids downstairs in the cafe studying. Excellent exhibits and lots to see and do. They also have a restaurant and cafe. Highly recommended.

One of manu great places to enjoy culture in São Paulo. It has a vibrant community that also dances in its halls. You can eat, watch a film, attend an exhibition and chill here. The restroom was clean enough for a public toilet (and free! And had paper towels!). It is also beautifully designed, with many spaces serving for interesting photo shoots.

It’s a must-go place of São Paulo. There’s lots of people to do everything you can imagine. There are several places for people to play chess in the entrance, several tables for study. It’s a huge place indoors for expositions. There’s a huge library in the underground. You can also go to the “roof”, where you can chill with friends in the grass. There’s also a small garden you can grab some vegetables for yourself, with support of the staff. On weekends, you can watch teenagers dancing and chilling outdoors. It’s an awesome place to go with family and kids as well.

The Altino Arantes Building, also known as the Banespa Skyscraper, is an iconic symbol of Sao Paulo. This Art Deco-style skyscraper was completed in 1947 and was once the tallest building outside of the United States. Designed by architect Plinio Botelho do Amaral, it features a distinctive 'wedding cake' shape with decreasing floor diameters and the flag of Sao Paulo State at its top.
What an awesome building that reflects the dreams and unity for the people of Sao Paulo, the exhibition and display rooms make it well worth a visit, beside the views from the lookout decks
Wboy74 — Google review
Absolutely love how they transformed this heritage building into observation deck, bar and exhibit complex. The bar in the basement worths a visit because that’s where the safe of the bank used to be. The observation deck on the top is impressive!

Great view and didn't take to long to go up. Once at the top there is a cafe as well as the balconies. Great uninterrupted views. The building has a lot of historic features too from it's days under Banespa

Nice view over the city but a shame that the glass is dirty so it's difficult to take good photos. Also there are viewing platforms on 2 sides of the building but not 360 view. There's a cafe on the 26th floor which does various food and hot drinks or a bar/restaurant on the 28th floor.
Suzie G — Google review
Really nice the storyline of Sao Paulo's state bank. There's a nice coffee shop on the last floor. Lovely view, the art is unique, the history preserved and the construction beautiful.

The view of this iconic building in Sao Paulo's skyline is amazing. You can go up to the 23rd floor and admire the city's main buildings from the top, but the observatory area is a little tight and can get a little crowded. You can also lear a little bit about the history of the building, translated only in English. Admissions starts at R$10 up to R$20.
Otávio G — Google review
The views are limited by a glass, can be crowded but you still can get your view. Not 360 degrees view since it is only one side of the building and another across the coffee room. There are other attractions in the building that worth seeing. The coffee is okay, you don’t get view from the coffee but you pay an expensive price to have it.i wouldn’t go back… nothing special

Sao Paulo's municipal department of culture is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks and first skyscrapers. The building, inaugurated in 1926, was designed by Christiano Stockler das Neves and broke with Sao Paulo's previous zoning regulations. The renovated building remains an important part of Sao Paulo's cultural landscape.

(Translated by Google) A project related to the eclectic architecture of São Paulo, the building was designed by architects Christiano Stockler and Samuel das Neves. With twelve floors and a height of fifty meters, the Sampaio Moreira was the tallest building in the city of São Paulo between 1924, the year it was inaugurated, and 1929, when it was surpassed by the Martinelli Building. It is therefore considered the first large multi-story building in the city of São Paulo, as well as one of the first in the country to feature this type of building.[1] Considered the "prototype" of skyscrapers in São Paulo - built at a time when buildings in the city had a maximum of four floors, the Sampaio Moreira is listed by CONPRESP (Municipal Council for the Preservation of the Historical Heritage of São Paulo) due to its historical and architectural importance.[5] It was run by the Sampaio Moreira family and used as a commercial building. Since its inauguration, the building has housed on its ground floor the Mercearia Godinho, a traditional commercial establishment in São Paulo, founded in 1890, then located in Praça da Sé.[6] In the 1980s, restoration work was carried out on its main façade. In 2010, the Sampaio Moreira was expropriated by the City Hall of São Paulo, and in 2012, restoration and restoration work began on the building.[2] An important historical part of the building, in January 2013, the Casa Godinho grocery store was the first commercial establishment to receive the title of intangible cultural heritage of the city of São Paulo by the Municipal Council for the Preservation of Historical, Cultural and Environmental Heritage of São Paulo. Thanks to this, the Sampaio Moreira building, which housed it, welcomed great names in Brazilian history, such as Assis Chateaubriand, Adhemar de Barros and Jânio Quadros.[7] The skyscraper was designed in 1920 and completed four years later. Initially, it was to be a residential building, then residential and commercial. However, it remained solely for commercial use from its inauguration until its closure. During its operation, it housed offices where goldsmiths, lawyers, engineers and architects worked.[8] In the year the building closed, in 2010, some floors were made available for young artists to set up studios and use the space for creation, providing a new use for the place. The works created during this period were even exhibited in the building's garage.[9] According to the current schedule, the building should be completely restored and reopened by the end of 2017. Sampaio Moreira promises to house the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and other notable modifications on its thirteen floors. [10]

The Martinelli Building, Brazil's first skyscraper, stands as a historic landmark in Sao Paulo. Erected in 1929, it played a pivotal role in the city's transformation into a bustling metropolis. This iconic structure boasts a distinctive mansard roof and an inviting 26th-floor terrace offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. While primarily serving as office space today, it welcomes visitors to explore its architectural beauty and enjoy the stunning vistas from its rooftop.
Attended a rooftop music event with some friends. What a fun place for dancing, drinks, and the views are simply stunning! We went there in time to catch the setting sun.

Maybe you need a tour guide or to be part of a party/event to enter, but I tried visiting the terrace/rooftop on Wed, January 22nd, and was told by one of the females at the desk (entrance across from "help, loja de credito" that they don't have one. /:

The building is beautiful, a historic one. But it should be in a better condition. The history of the constructor is very interesting. He was a visionary. Nowadays 70% belong to the municipality, and the rest is occupied by businesses. Considering that Tokio Marine, an important insurance company, is responsible for the highest floors- 25+26- and now for quite a long time, it would be expected these floors would be in a better condition. But since it’s one of the most emblematic buildings in São Paulo, it has a great history, it is worth being visited.

Stunning view of the concrete jungle! A must do! Check the time of the tours...
Phil — Google review
The building is beautiful and the views are pretty great. But the organization of this is dreadful. I came today (Sunday), saw that the timings were for 13 and 1430- on the site and on a poster on the door. I came just before 1300, with about 12 people ahead of me. A couple people joined friends near the front some time after I did, but we were not taken as a group until 1400. Then each of us had to show ID and the guide asked us questions and wrote our info- by hand, it took almost 15 minutes. Then we had to wait in another line for 15 minutes for no reason, and only then were we taken to the top. A guide spoke to us for a few minutes and then we were led out to the terrace. There were metal barriers in front of the rails so it was harder to get a really good view. Which I found pointless as there were only 15 of us and a guide and 3 guards. Not only that but only maybe half of the terrace was open for viewing. We were only allowed about 5 minutes on each side of the terrace. I've been to many lookouts in several parts of the globe and I've never had such a frustrating experience. I would prefer to pay an entrance fee and have more tours, waiting for an hour for a limited experience was almost not worth it.
Sal D — Google review
It used to be better, without the railings and with less hassle, but it’s still one of São Paulo’s best views, and even better that the view from the neighboring Farol Santander. Also, it’s free! I recommend that you reserve your tickets beforehand online.

Nice place to visit and take a coffee with some tasty cake. Beautiful library where you can look at an interesting book while having a good coffee. Little store to buy japanese crafts and whiskys (great options that are not often found in regular liquor stores). The second floor has a restaurante an little exhibition hall, where was a tea ceremony show when I visited.

Expected more like samurai and ninja armor and beautiful cherry blossoms. For free you can't complain on a Tuesday. It's good if you're having a stroll on the avenue and want to see it for a half hour. Not a must see by any means in SP but a good little stop for a little walk.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of São Paulo, the Solar da Marquesa de Santos is a captivating historic manor house that showcases an impressive evolution of architectural styles from the 18th century. Originally built in colonial style, this remarkable structure has undergone several renovations, resulting in its striking neoclassical facade. Inside, visitors can marvel at archaeological windows that reveal various construction techniques used throughout its history, from traditional rammed earth to modern brickwork.
…………This beautiful manor-house now turned into a museum the once residence of the Marquesa of Santos “Domitilia de Castro” show how this building has transformed since its beginnings in the 18th century. Lots of details are to be observed in the architectural works and also there are lots of details explaining the excavation works which took place over many years unearthing many artifacts of the possessions of this important lady in the history of Sao Paulo. There are bits of cups, plates and many more things like keys etc, etc. Some of the original brick-works are preserved and framed out so visitors can have a glimpse of how it was back in the day. Many statues lay on the floor in the foyer so one has an understanding of how well this place must have been decorated in its interior and exterior grounds. An intriguing museum with the entree-fee being free of charge. It’s worth a visit as it’s only a stones through from the founders square…..

The Igreja de Santo Antonio, located in the Square of the Patriarch, is a historical landmark known for its valuable colonial artwork. It houses remarkable artistic pieces from the colonial period and boasts an impressive baroque carving altar dating back to 1780. The sanctuary is also renowned for its well-preserved murals from the early seventeenth century, discovered during its recent renovation in 2005. The church's current facade was built in 1919 and showcases an eclectic architectural style.
(Translated by Google) There is some controversy about which is the oldest church in the city of São Paulo. Some say it is this one from 1592, others say it is the São Miguel Paulista church, from 1562. This church is located in Praça do Patriarca in downtown São Paulo. It is being restored. In the photos, you will see some numbers written on a small piece of paper. These are the spots where the last coats of paint are being removed to get to the original covering. You can also see wear on the hydraulic tiles on the floors. The façade, because it is located close to other buildings, sometimes goes unnoticed by passersby. It is yet another example of religious architecture in the city. Big, beautiful bookstore! The store is within a bigger shopping mall, which is actually in a historical building. Pretty cool to look at and walk through (historical building). The floors were strikingly pretty. The bookstore itself is very big with options upon options of books, including a children’s section. There is also a café inside with restrooms. Prices seemed reasonable to me, though of course, it’s a commercial bookstore so keep that in mind. Only minor complaint is the level of noise. With the busy café inside, it can be relatively loud in here for a bookstore. It’s missing that quiet gentle atmosphere you typically associate with a library or bookstore. #livrariacultura #sãopaulo #sampa #brazil #library #culture #café

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, this gallery stands out for its commitment to showcasing both emerging Brazilian talents and renowned international artists like Alex Katz and Marina Abramovic. The space not only hosts captivating exhibitions but also supports artists through monographic publications, fostering an environment of creative autonomy.
Such a unique and special space! Architecture and Art, reunited and cared for appreciation

Beautiful gallery space in Jardim Paulista. The house has a beautiful architecture and it's very well maintained. I fell in love with the garden right away. Recommend the visit!

(Translated by Google) A gallery whose works on display were tailor-made for the location. The current exhibition, 11/19/22 (opening), by the Capanema brothers is the best example of this. (Original) Uma galeria cujas as obras exibidas foram feitas sob medida para o local. A atual exposição, 19/11/22 (abertura), dos irmãos Capanema é o melhor exemplo disso.

(Translated by Google) Terrible service. Despite all the online publicity for Augusto de Campos' exhibition, I arrived during business hours and the doors were closed. Both doors, in fact. A friendly and helpful employee opened the door and led us from room to room. However, there's no itinerary or visiting plan. It's fine not to have an open house, but don't advertise it or hold it. Use the gallery as a shop for artwork; it would be more honest.

Great apartment building with everything inside: 25m pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym is good enough, rooftop with small pool. Close to all businesses.

(Translated by Google) Good location and infrastructure in the building. Excellent view, however during the day it is in the path of planes landing in Congonhas, which did not bother us. We stayed at Airbnb and would return. (Original) Boa localização e infraestrutura no prédio.
