Coffee Lab is a casual cafe located in Vila Madalena, Sao Paulo, known for its special roasts, blends, and tasting menu. Run by award-winning barista Isabela Raposeiras, the cafe offers courses on coffee and takes the art of coffee-making very seriously. The menu features a variety of Brazilian coffees with detailed explanations about each one, including flavor profiles and provenance. Customers can choose their preferred brewing method from traditional filter drip to modern techniques.
So far, this has been the best coffee experience in town. The ambiance is amazing, and the staff is extremely friendly and speaks English very well. They also offer an English menu, and the staff is very attentive. They also offer free filtered tap water. The only issue for me is the acidity of their coffees, but that’s just a personal preference, as I don’t enjoy acidic blends. Overall, it’s a perfect place!

Awesome cafe that only serves coffee and a small collection of pastries. If you’re looking for more options other than coffee I would head to some other cafes but in terms of coffee this is the place to go. We ordered a cappuccino, latte, an affogato and also a rosquinha de pinga (or Brazilian style doughnut). All foods were awesome and would definitely get the same items again once we go back.

Rustic/Industrial Decor. Chill spot for a quick bite or casual meet. Ordered the Brisket Sandwich, Grill Cheese Sandwich, and Fluffy cake. Not bad👌🏾

Great place to go for coffee and a light snack. I spent some time there reading. The atmosphere is amazing, with moderate noise which makes it perfect for reading. The staff is friendly and attentive.

If you're passionate about coffee and want to savor the distinctive flavors of top-quality beans, this is the perfect place for you. Just a heads-up for future visitors in 2024: be sure to bring your credit card, as cash payments may not be accepted.

It's a nice spot but the coffee was average sadly.
Khalid A — Google review
Great space (except for the garden where you can catch a whiff of sewage), great coffee and great food. The staff is slow and thinks a little too highly of itself, though, making the experience a bit off-putting. Otherwise, great compared to other specialty coffee shops in the neighborhood.

5.0 | This place is a gem. I think this is easily one of the most unique coffee spots I’ve been to. they also have a ritual menu, where I ordered the cappuccino, one was made italian style, the other brazilian style. it was very pleasant, and both were presented in a way to appreciate the uniqueness of ea. the other folks got pour overs and teas, which they also enjoyed. the branding of the space is nice, and the experience is catered to true coffee enthusiasts. I loved it. I highly recommend you go if you’re in São Paulo.

King of The Fork, also known as KOF, is a cozy and casual café in Sao Paulo that caters to cyclists and coffee enthusiasts. This bicycle-themed spot offers a variety of coffee, beer, sandwiches, and pastries while also selling cycling accessories. It has quickly gained popularity as one of the best cafes in the city, providing a welcoming atmosphere for friends to gather and enjoy quality food and drinks.
The best coffee we tried in Sao Paulo!
Khalid A — Google review
Service was rude after I asked about organic milk and coffee (none), I asked if I could have one of the sandwiches on their “pao de fermentação” but was condescendingly told no. The tuna melt sandwich was bland (more bread than the tuna and tasteless cheese), the cheese melt was good. Banana bread, flat white, and fresh mint tea were great!!
Gabriella T — Google review
Honestly loved everything about it. Staff was helpful even though I don’t speak Portuguese, vibe is great love the space a lot. Food was good. My espresso was super sour not sure if it’s a regular serve or mine was a bit off but overall everything was enjoyable.
Jiggity J — Google review
It’s disappointing that a café designed to mimic the aesthetic of places in New York, San Francisco, or Boston ends up enforcing outdated, provincial policies—like banning laptop use. Unfortunately, this is all too common in Brazil: a polished exterior meant to impress, but without the substance to match. Style over function, image over authenticity. It feels like yet another example of something made just “for the English to see”—100% superficial.
Carlos M — Google review
Small, but quality coffee shop. I had the chai latte with oat milk and it was so good. It was actually the best chai I've had in town. You could tell the chai was quality and pure and the oat added the right amount of sweetness. I'm sure it would taste good with cow milk too.
Leonard — Google review
Tucked away café spot with great sandwich and coffee options. The back patio is a nice pocket of greenery and they also stock a number of cool cycling trinkets. Great for weekend brunch, very friendly staff. The chocolate cookie was absurdly good, as was the cold brew with tonic.
Florian K — Google review
Really good coffee, some of the best we had in Sao Paulo. The decor is very unique and all fits together to make a very cool atmosphere- a must visit for cycling fans!
Ethan W — Google review
I know how popular this place is, but I never had the chance to visit until now. I ordered a simple espresso, and it came nicely brewed. It would have been better though, if it came with a shot of sparkling water and a small bite of sweet like most places do. Almost perfect, but not quite.

Um Coffee Co. is a stylish and comfortable cafe in Itaim-Bibi neighbourhood of São Paulo, Brazil with delicious coffee. The staff are experts in their field, and the location is well conceived - making it a great choice for visitors to the city. The café's croissants are simply amazing, and they serve good coffee from Campanha area too. Highly recommended!
Amazing experience in Um Coffee co 😍 Me and my husband from Canada visiting Sao Paulo . 🇧🇷 On of brightening city .🌞 We went Um coffee ☕️ straight 4days because it's just so good and pure with best pastries. ✨️ What an experience. They are bring coffee and then brewing pour over at our table. 🩷 we already missed Brazil because of Um's. Hope Canada have farm to roast to coffee shop kind of place but we know that its not gonna be happend. LOL Really fantastic 👏

A great coffee place! They work with many different local coffee farms all over Brazil and their hand drip coffee is just great. The owner’s son got the barista championship in 2023.

As a regular barista, I tried to find good coffee in Sao Paulo. After a few disappointing shots, I found this magical place. They have very high-quality coffee, and the owner provided us with personal service, was very kind and thoughtful of explaining about the coffee and the flavours. Highly recommended!

This location is nice but the nicest is still Jardin. I loaded the arabe cookies, salmon croissant, apple pie and decaf coffee pourover with oat milk here. Really delicious! The staff and wifi are also great here.
Leonard — Google review
It was difficult to get the staff’s attention to make an order, very cold and angry looking people. I felt like we were playing a game of tag, even though there were more staff members standing around than there were actual customers in the shop. But I’m mostly sad because I don’t think the cappuccino I ordered had any coffee in it… it just tasted like steamed milk. And the bagels here aren’t actually bagels, they’re just bread shaped in the form of bagels. Anyway, I still need a caffeine fix so time to leave and find an actual cup of coffee today. Why is it so hard to find descent coffee in Brazil?
Kit — Google review
UM is a unique place in São Paulo for having coffee and…The staff are exceptional and knowledgeable. The location design is well thought and quite comfortable. When visiting São Paulo it is one of the places you should have on your “want to have coffee there” list.

Coffee is superb but their monthly Coffee Club is absolutely awful, missed deliveries, incorrect orders, random card charges, and no-one takes responsibility, they ignore the complaints via WhatsApp so I have to comment here. Boram, Garam, please sort out your team

We are visiting from Canada and really really appreciated Brazilian specialty coffee. Lucky that Brazilian can drink this cup whenever they want. Farm to carefully sourced to your cup there is so much hard work behind it. We were just so thankful that we can experience Brazil’s the best cup. Hands down. If you are around you gotta check this place it is life time experience. We will visit Brazil again just to taste Um’s experience. Thank you.

Sofá Café + Fazedores de Café is a beautifully designed space that caters to coffee enthusiasts and aims to please its discerning customers. The drinks are not only visually appealing but also of top-notch quality. While the prices may be slightly higher compared to other establishments in the region, the cafe offers excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. It provides a variety of options including tasty hot chocolate, delicious cookies, and brunch dishes.
Great coffee and brunch in a very spacious place, the decoration is good but little plain, some paints could help a lot to improve the atmosphere. It accepts tickets and the brunch is enough to avoid launch.

(Translated by Google) Very pleasant atmosphere, good prices, excellent service. I ordered a filtered coffee (R$10), a large size, good to share. Iced coconut cake (R$15.00) with a thin and light sponge cake. I found the peanut cookie (R$14) very tasty, and it comes warm. (Original) Ambiente muito agradável, bons preços, excelente atendimento. Pedi um café coado (r$10), tamanho grande, bom pra dividir. Bolo gelado de coco (r$15,00) massa fina e leve tipo pão de ló. O cookie de paçoca (r$14) achei bem gostoso, vem aquecido.

(Translated by Google) The coffee itself was okay, but the service left much to be desired. I arrived, said good morning, and the staff ignored me. The menu had several options for filtered coffees, and I explained that I didn't know the difference. The waiter simply ignored me, didn't explain, and brought me whatever I wanted. I think the poor service will make me reconsider returning. I hope they improve!
(Translated by Google) The place is cute, but the service leaves something to be desired, and the menu prices are either wrong, or the waitress insisted on charging me the wrong amount even after I asked if the bill was correct. The difference wasn't the traditional 10%, it was actually different. I went with my boyfriend and my pet and sat at one of the side tables for two, kind of in the middle of the aisle. I don't plan on going back.
Alfeu N — Google review
(Translated by Google) A good place to enjoy a coffee. Top-notch service. I liked the decor. It has power outlets and Wi-Fi for customers. A great place to go with friends for a chat, or to spend a few hours working on your laptop. (Original) Um bom lugar para apreciar um café. Atendimento nota 10. Gostei da decoração. Possui tomadas e wifi para clientes. Lugar legal para ir com amigos bater um papo, ou para passar algumas horas trabalhando com seu notebook.
Lucas C — Google review
(Translated by Google) The food is good, though a bit overpriced... The place is beautiful and pleasant, but the service is poor. One of the waitresses is very rude. She has no tact, and this isn't just true of me, but also of my colleagues who also frequent the place. When asking for the Wi-Fi password, she's always very rude to "guarantee" that you'll eat there. She doesn't care at all when speaking to customers. I also went with a friend once and brought a packed lunch. I was going to order juice and dessert, but this same waitress informed me that I couldn't eat the packed lunch, but in a very blunt way, putting me in a very uncomfortable situation. By law, there should be a sign prohibiting the consumption of packed lunches; otherwise, they can't prohibit it if I buy something there... But it seems the establishment doesn't really care about this... I pass by the place every day, but my colleagues and I stopped going there because of this waitress... anyway, it's quite complicated.

(Translated by Google) The ambiance is beautiful and reasonably spacious for a café in São Paulo. The food is delicious and the prices aren't exorbitant. Just one constructive criticism: the service leaves a bit to be desired… people seem to be doing everything out of obligation. Other than that, it was a good café. (Original) Ambiente bonito e razoavelmente grande para um café em São Paulo. A comida é saborosa e os preços não são exorbitantes. Futuro Refeitório, also known as Cafeteria of the Future, is a trendy restaurant located in a former parking garage in Pinheiros. The open kitchen and neon signage create an airy warehouse-style setting where visitors can enjoy a variety of dining experiences. This versatile spot operates as a bakery, coffee roaster, fish smoker, restaurant, and cocktail bar at different times.
Very cool place. Industrial look in a big chic room for a modern, fancy, (and at the same time rustic) atmosphere. Ordering is all digital over a qr code and the food arrives fast. Service is good. The food was delicious and the variety on the menu is great. We had the eggs with sausage and a sandwich and a fantastic carrot cake. Also the green juice was very good. Would definitely come again.
Valentin P — Google review
Bougie yet laid back coffee place, very industrial and offers a huge array of brunch, dinner, coffe and drinks. Very much like the vibes of the city of São Paulo. Not only the dishes and drinks were very good, looking at the open kitchen to see them being made was also an experience in itself. The whole place was built on a parking lot and you can still see the old structure that contribute to the “hipster” city like vibes. The place is perfect for work (Wi-fi) and meeting of big groups but I think the “aesthetics” are specially pleasing if you’re visiting São Paulo and want something not so common in other Brazilian cities. It’s the NYC kinda place paulistanos love and pay extra for… I.e.: Cold brew R$ 20,00 Croissant R$ 14,00… etc
L. — Google review
My favourite coffee shop in Brazil so far! Spacious, good coffee, very convenient to order (through a website), great for getting work done, and amazing food. I’ve had a long layover and had a lot of time to kill, so I had both breakfast and lunch here. Both were amazing, but especially the lunch (pic), it was incredible! Very tasty, fresh & good portions.
Omar — Google review
A large place with a lot of people using laptops & drinking coffee a good place to come in São Paulo if you want to work whilst enjoying a drink or some food. WiFi is available on the table without having to ask & you order on the app and it gets brought to your table. Chilled vibes in a good setting.
Connor M — Google review
This is the kind of place that middle-upper class Paulistanos loves, something very hipster, resembling NY joints with its modern looks and open space, with some big waiting lines on weekends and the prices somehow above average, that kind of justifies by the quality of the ingredients, but, kind of. But despite all of that, I must say that the food is really good. I went for the brunch, so I cannot say about their dinner menu, but everything I've tried, I liked. all the ingredients are super fresh and organic, the bread is really outstanding, so try anything that comes with a bread along, and everything is very tasteful. I don't know how hard and expensive it is to maintain a supply chain with that quality, but the 13% rate (optional) is a bummer, since you're paying that rate for the staff and the prices are already above average, maybe it's the hype rate, but they could reconsider that for the future.
Bruno P — Google review
tl;dr: cool-looking, good food and coffee with healthy choices It's hard to expect to find what you find when you walk through the hallway to enter the place. It's very cool looking, industrial-ish with an open kitchen. You order by scanning a QR code which identifies your table and takes you to a site in which you place your orders (very helpful, with dish descriptions and pictures). Payment must still be made by going to the counter, but I assume this will change in the future. They have breakfast/brunch items, as well as more lunch-like dishes, which I didn't look at. I thought the food was very good, cooked and seasoned nicely. The avocado was especially tasty. Their coffee is also to my liking, strong. Service is made efficient and laid-back by their online system, without the usual overbearing service you might find in Brazil. I was very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to come back and recommend the place.

Event if we have to wait to get a table, it really worth it! The food is excellent, the service is warm that make you feel home, and the coffee is delicious. Talking about coffee Natália Braga who is the responsable for coffee there, was super nice and super pro when working! The coffee as espresso or filter is 👍🏻. They use different roast beans for any methods. And each coffee has its own recipe. Bravo!!! I had a very good time, every details in there make us feel special! Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The café aims to provide a cozy environment akin to one's own home across its various locations in Vila Madalena, Morumbi, Shopping Cidade Jardim, Itaim Bibi, and inside Edificio Une. Each location has its unique atmosphere ranging from relaxed to sophisticated.
It was a beautiful place, I was thinking it was a coffee shop but it has more a restaurant atmosphere. It was actually perfect too. But if you’re trying to find a quiet place to read or work a little bit this place might be a little bit noisy and not enough power connections. Otherwise, as a restaurant it is great, staff are amazing, food was delicious. I would come back over and over.

I wanted to give 5 stars, however since the menu is wrong about the dietary restrictions…I simply can’t. If it wasn’t for me to DOUBLE question the waiter after seen the appearance of my dish was too similar with gluten, I would have had trouble. The service was pretty good (our waiter was Flavio). And the prices are higher than they should consider the food sizes and taste, in my opinion.

What used to be a lovely brasserie now seems a little sad. Stopped in tonight for a quick bite and although our waitress was great, the food was boring and took a long time to arrive. The beef was one-note and lacked any depth while the polenta was poorly seasoned. The brownie we had for dessert was made with cheap chocolate and was not so much a brownie as a piece of strange cake. The food has serious problems and the chef doesn’t seem to have an understand of balance and/or contrast. Then, as we left, the sliding glass front doors were closed and although the doorman stood on the other side of them, he didn’t so much as look up from his phone as we pried the doors open ourselves to get out. He couldn’t even make an effort to say goodnight as we passed him. He just stared at his phone. A rude ending to a mediocre meal.

Incredible experience of this restaurant/Cafe. We got there because we really wanted to have a good coffee and when we saw that we may have coffee tasting, it was not even a doubt we are going to get this order. According that, from 4 different espresso I liked only 1, others were very sour for my own taste. But it's okay, I'm not gonna grade low my opinion because of that. For food I really enjoyed burger. It was exactly the one I like. Good combination of bun, meat and veggies. I'm not a big fan of fries tho, so telling you that I didn't like them would be a bit unfair, yet I can see that they didn't really have any taste. Our waiter was very very friendly. He dropped first portion of fries on me, but it was more funny than a pity. He apologized many times. Not a big deal tho. What I just want to say, that staff is very very pleasant. My opinion is, that it is a very good place and I'd recommend it to others.

Really good coffee. And I am a picky coffee drinker. But I would say it was the best coffee I had in 6 weeks traveling around Brazil. The food was delicious as well. Only the egg Benedict sauce was a bit disappointing. But really nice place to have breakfast.

Super enjoyed this place! We came in passing while waiting for our dinner reservation, and it was absolutely perfect. Very well made cappuccino, and so many other nice drink options! Alcohol or non-alcohol. My friend also got a calming tea - made with chamomile, passion fruit, honey and orange. Also delicious! Other great thing about this place is the vibes. The servers were very kind, open and welcoming. Great environment to relax and feel welcome with your drink ☺️ Hope to be able to return here someday! #ppd #porumpunhadodolares #cafe #coffee #brazil #goodvibes

The best place for breakfast! It is very crowdy in the morning, but the queue is moving fast. Very delicious food, I liked that menu changes regularly. People that wort here are very friendly and nice. I like that they know English.

Place with a very nice structure and good food menu, their proposal is quite nice. Still I didn’t like somethings about it: it took half an hour to serve what was ordered - simple things as an espresso, cheese roll and toast. They don’t say they’re slow food, so I guess it’s matter of slow service. Because of that, my espresso arrived only warn. To see if it’s like that I asked a second time for news things, already ready and exposed, and it took 10’ to arrive. The quality of food is great, though.

Excellent latte and superb banana bread! No Wi-Fi and not much seating (including two tables with signs asking you to not use your laptop), so if you’re looking for a place to sprawl out and work for a few hours, this probably isn’t it. But if you want quick service and excellent coffee, I’d highly recommend it.

Freakishly cool place!! I always feel well served here and it’s a lovely place with friendly staff and great food! Maybe a year ago I would not have been as favourable because I recall they spent most effort on takeaway orders and it did not feel so good, but that was then and it’s super cool now! (I try not to arrive too late on weekends as like anywhere good I guess it will be busy)

I loveed this coffee restaurant. Many options to choose something to eat. The coffee ☕ opens very early, this is something great. The atmosphere is pleasant. Something one that bothers me that the waiters don't speak English.
Michael M — Google review
Their call is nice, but still there is a way to go. Food was good, but it took too long to arrive (and it isn’t a slow food place). Drinks as well took too long to arrive, and we saw them waiting after the kitchen finished them: thus they arrived only warm and not hot. Prices are fair. Another hint would be redesigning the menu, because theirs is fairly confusing. Sure the place will improve through time.
Fábio T — Google review
What a hidden gem! The name may be odd but the food is delicious and fresh and the indoor-outdoor seating plentiful.

Freak Cafe, putting aside the awkward name, is a gem of a spot. It's packed on the weekends so keep that in mind, but you will be hard pressed to find a better eggs benedict on the street. Similarly, the coffee game here exceeds almost anything else in the area.

Place is okay. Could do a lot better regarding the service, though. My order took a little too long for a place that wasn't crowded or anything and the barista was a bit rude to me for no good reason. Not on purpose I guess. She just had that impolite, informal attitude which is okay if you're talking to someone you know, but not at all when you're talking to your client.

D.O.M. is a renowned restaurant in Sao Paulo, known for its haute cuisine created by the world-famous chef Alex Atala. The restaurant offers innovative dishes that revive traditional recipes with unique and exotic ingredients. In addition to D.O.M., the city boasts a diverse culinary scene, featuring everything from classic Portuguese cuisine to exceptional sushi. Other notable eateries include Dalva e Dito, a more casual expression of Brazilian cuisine from the owners of D.O.M.
Every time we travel to Sao Paulo, we dine at D.O.M. The tasting menu this time celebrated D.O.M.'s 25th anniversary. Each dish was superb, and elegantly presented. One of the desserts, Grandma's pudding and cajá, was almost too pretty to eat. Thanks to all the staff for their warm and welcoming service.

Came to D.O.M while on holiday with my husband to try their executive lunch and had a really good experience. Usually with fine dining restaurants, you end up not having enough food, but not at this restaurant! Portions were big and very tasty. Best farofa I've ever had. Thank you so much for the great experience.

One of the most famous restaurants in brasil under the supervision of Chef Alex Atala. Ever since seeing him on "Chef's table" on Netflix it was a dream of mine to eat there once. The food was absolulety delicious and special and the 12 course menu was really worth it's price. Service was great and we had a lovely evening. Be aware that the full course menu takes some time, we were there for about 3 to 4 hours.
Ludwig P — Google review
I went to DOM with my expectations very high as it is one of the few 2 Michelin Stars in Brazil. Couldn’t have left happier! 😍 We experienced the Menu Sertão, celebrating the 25 years of Alex Atala’s restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! Each dish was representing beautifully the Northeast and Northwest of Brazil in a cohesive way. All the plates were well presented and the flavours were very balanced. Absolutely delicious! The staff were very pleasant, caring and explained each dish and drink served. I ordered one of the signature cocktails with coconut crisps on the top and it was the best cocktail I had in Brazil. The structure of the restaurant is mix of rustic and classic , but very harmonious. The atmosphere was pleasant, made for you to have a good meal while chatting with your family and friends. There was a nice Brazilian music in the background. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough, it is totally worthy the price we paid.
Lis S — Google review
The tasting menu was amazing. The service, the timing between courses, the waiters' suggestions for drinks, the food and creativity was very top. The essence of Brazil in this gastronomy experience blew my mind.
Mauricio T — Google review
By far the greatest dining experience I’ve ever had. There are meals you simply eat, and then there are meals that take you somewhere someplace primal, elegant, a little mysterious and leave you different than when you sat down. D.O.M. in São Paulo is that kind of place. The kind of restaurant that doesn’t just serve food, but orchestrates an experience with the precision of a cult and the soul of a poet. From the first moment, you know you’re in for something rare. They don’t just swap plates between courses; they change the entire tablecloth. New textures. New colors. New moods. Every course begins with a small transformation of the world in front of you. No explanation, no ceremony just quiet mastery. I had the 10-course tasting menu, and each dish felt like a story told in a language you don’t fully speak but somehow understand. Caviar served on chilled stones beautiful, stark, almost ritualistic. Warms you up like a secret handshake. Then the broths: clear, delicate, layered in ways that make you shut up and pay attention. Greens perched in a pool of shimmering liquid, like something foraged at dawn in a place humans aren’t meant to go. Other plates looked like living art, geometric, precise, shimmering under soft light. One dish arrived covered entirely in glossy bubbles, like a creature resting on the plate. Another paired immaculate fish with a broth so clean it felt like a confession. Then came the meat course: lacquered, tender, arrogant in its perfection. Slow, deep flavors that hit you like truth. It’s the kind of dish that makes you put the fork down afterward and wonder how anything else in your life will measure up. The pacing, the silence, the choreography of the staff, every detail was handled with a kind of reverence. This isn’t hospitality. It’s devotion. And São Paulo — this frenetic, beautiful beast of a city — melts away when you’re at D.O.M. Inside, the world shrinks down to a steady heartbeat. You taste more clearly. You listen more closely. You remember why people travel for food in the first place. D.O.M. isn’t just the best meal I’ve had in Brazil. It’s the best dining experience I’ve had, period New York, Tokyo, Paris, all of it. This one stands alone.

Fogo de Chão Jardins is an upscale Brazilian steakhouse chain known for its all-you-can-eat meat carved tableside and extensive salad bar. With nearly four decades of expertise in the art of fire-roasting high-quality meats using the traditional Southern Brazilian churrasco technique, this internationally renowned restaurant has become a haven for meat lovers. Despite its focus on meat, Fogo de Chão surprises by offering a meatless menu and a stunning salad bar that caters to diverse diets.
Had a great business dinner with amazing meat cuts i a steady flow! I’d recommend their caipirinha with maracuja. And their cream dessert was awesome ! I had the mango one which was delicious
R B — Google review
We had a lovely dinner at Fogo de Chão in São Paulo. Our reservation was honored promptly, and we were welcomed with smiles and courteous service from the team. The space itself was warm and inviting, setting the tone for a memorable meal. We started with a few refreshing caipirinhas, then made our way to the buffet—which was excellent. Crisp salads, smoked salmon, cheeses, fresh fruits, and even a smoked pork belly station made for a strong start. Once we flipped our coasters to green, the feast began. The various cuts of beef were superb—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I skipped the poultry and sausages to save room for the star of the show: the beef, which did not disappoint. We ended the meal by sharing a classic crème brûlée—smooth, rich, and perfectly caramelized on top. I’ve also dined at their Miami location, and São Paulo held its own—both in flavor and hospitality. A must-visit for meat lovers exploring Brazil. Documented by Postcards and Coordinates (on Instagram).

Decided to try this based off another review from R B as in the review section. Yes, the recommend caipirinha is a passion fruit one and it's definitely so good, was worried about reports from the hotel that said I need to avoid alcohol as there is a trend to spike it, so didn't want to but the establishment looks proper and I don't think they would tolerate such things here. Had the BBQ buffet... Amazing, I love the fact that I had NO clue what the neat that was being served by the servers as they all spoke Portuguese, but I tell you what, I didn't turn anything away, I think I missed the fillet mignon, the sirloin guy kept coming back, my favourite is the chicken hearts, I know gross but they are so good... The server's are reasonably attentive, had the desert, but the milk cake in India was 💯 more tasty, dear chef, more egg whites will make that cake light and then it will be heavenly, it's tooo heavy the way you made it, try that and drop me a response saying that I was right.. hehe Thanks guys, definitely cool place, I was allowed in wearing shorts and a tee shirt, I appreciate that they are not sticky on that, I'm relaxed and wanna have a relaxing meal, not a stuck up meal... Especially when the star ⭐ is the BBQ meats... Lamb, pork ribs too salty for my taste, maybe it's the way it's done in Brazil... No wonder you have one of the highest ratings on Google maps, you still deserve those stars and ratings it's not slipped in any way...
Miro P — Google review
All good. Except the food. The bar salad was stinky, as if some food was spoiled food. The meat was never cooked to perfection. It was either too burnt or too raw. You know it's not a good place when the food makes you sick. I had to take baking soda afterward to get better. On top of that, was really expensive. And they were charging an extra soda (which by the way I ordered coke first and they just brought me whatever they wanted)

A very fancy place to go and try Brazilian Churrascaría. The service was not so good, the buffet could have more things comparing with the price. You can order just a dish or the full experience But was a good experience

This is one of the best bbq restaurants (churrascaria) at the center of São Paulo that is not with menu, but you are served various local cuts of meat, as much as you can eat, including a wide variety of salads and sides dishes on a central buffet. This type of restaurants called “Rodizio” and it’s a paradise for meat lovers! This particular rodizio is very elegant compared with others, and the service is very good. A special “thanks” to our garçon named “John Lenon” (it was really his given name!) for his polite and fast service and Jociano too. Drinks are charged extra but you must definitely enjoy some caiprinhas (I suggest with Caju, my favourite). Enjoy!
Lefteris D — Google review
Fogo de Chão is a well-known Brazilian steakhouse chain (churrascaria) that originated in southern Brazil and now has locations throughout the country and internationally. It’s a popular choice for those wanting to experience traditional rodízio-style dining, where servers circulate continuously with a variety of grilled meats, serving you tableside until you say stop. We came here specifically to try the full Brazilian churrasco experience. We ordered the Full Experience set, which included an impressive lineup: Filet Mignon, Flank Steak, Beef Ribs, Sirloin, Chuck, Premium Ribs, Skirt Steak, Chorizo Steak, Ribeye, Lamb Chops, Lamb Shoulder, Pork Ribs, Sausage Platter (spicy, regular, and morcilla), Grilled Chicken, Chicken Hearts, and Picanha served alongside a Salad Bar and Feijoada. It looks like a lot—and it is—but it’s all unlimited, served until you flip your table coaster from green (go) to red (stop). However, during our visit, the meat service was a bit slow—likely due to a busy evening—and we found that many of the meats lacked strong marination or seasoning. While the variety is impressive, the overall flavor could be more robust. The salad bar is fresh and well-stocked, offering cheeses, cured meats, vegetables, and traditional Brazilian sides. The Feijoada (black bean and pork stew) was a nice addition. One thing we missed was the option of seafood—it would’ve been great to see that included as well. Although it’s part of a chain, the restaurant maintains an upscale yet approachable atmosphere. The meat quality is decent, and the concept is fun, especially for first-timers looking to explore Brazilian churrasco culture.

YOU CAN'T PAY WITH CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS, BRING CASH (they also take checks)!! This is a good restaurant with a very ornate, plush decor and efficient if somewhat brusque staff. Nice environment. Friendly staff. The menu has some interesting options like Jackfruit snacks and different combinations of tea and sandwiches with many vegan choices. The place is a bit noisy but still, very pleasant. Recommended!

A really good café in the crowd party area of São Paulo. There are many many options of foods, like soup, complete meal (lunch and dinner), snacks, juices and coffee. The service is great, the waiters pay attention on clients and you don't need to wait for your order. The price is ok, expansive but worth it.

Really beautiful coffee shop with quality coffee. I really enjoyed my Irish coffee here, as well as the cappuccino my girlfriend got. Both were delicious. Love the atmosphere in here. There’s a loft area upstairs with seating, where you can overlook the entirety of the shop. The place is very urban and full of plants, giving a beautiful, green and natural vibe to it all. Prices were reasonable to me, at least as far as drinks go. Would definitely return here to enjoy again! #urbe #urbecafebar #café #coffee #sãopaulo #sampa

Marcellos' exceptional hospitality and attentiveness at Kofi & Co - Café e Brunch ensured a comfortable and authentic Brazilian coffee shop experience. His impeccable suggestions perfectly complemented the delicious food and coffee offered. The cuisine was truly remarkable, with a distinctive touch and superb execution showcasing evident dedication. However, the cost benefit may not be as favorable, making it challenging to enjoy a satisfying meal at an affordable price.
This restaurant is fantastic, it's cute and it's cozy. I don't speak a lick of Portuguese but the servers were patient with me Google translating everything, the food was tremendous and I will be going back

Best breakfast/brunch food we had in Sao Paolo. The place is really nice and cosy and the food is amazing! Lots of healthy options, great service (although they don't speak English). Not cheap, but totally worths the visit.

Food is very good but brunch is overpriced. Service is not fast so save expect waiting for you food. Also the extra portion of Nutella sauce is too small for the pancakes.

Restaurant
Tabuleiro do Acarajé is a small, casual eatery in Salvador, the capital of Bahia, known for serving the most emblematic dish of northeastern Brazil's cuisine. The street-food staple, acarajé, is a deep-fried black-eyed-pea patty filled with vatapá (a thick paste made from ground shrimp and peanuts), crowned with shrimp and caruru (a saucy condiment made from okra).
Great food and a vibrant atmosphere. Had goosebumps from a vegan desert with tapioca!!!

I ordered the traditional acarajé no prato, and it was really tasty. However, the music was a bit too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation at the table.

The cafeteria-style Cafe Floresta in the Copan building has been serving coffee and pastries for decades, with little change other than the decor. The cafe is popular among coffee lovers and offers a casual atmosphere. There are no tables, only a single counter where customers order their drinks and desserts from.
Classic and great. All dishes were super tasty and the cafe is excellent. Maybe the best I tried in SP

Very cute place, the best coffee I had I think, great pastry and lovely staff
Rita S — Google review
The Café Floresta is a small traditional Italian coffee shop, with authentic tasty Italian coffee. The Café is located in the famous Edificio Copan, one of the highest buildings in Brazil and built in a special wave format. Only downside of the Café Floresta is, this place has no seating area, but this is often the case in small Italian cafés. So you have to stand while you enjoy your Italian coffee and your pastry. But this small Italian café is still very atmospheric, due to its nice wall paintings reminding of Brazil’s past strongly associated with coffee, one of the main commodities of Brazil. The pastries and tarts look nice here at Café Floresta and the one I had was a delicious Pastel with a tasty cream filling and a walnut on top of it. From Sao Paulo with Love! It’s a place full of history. Stoped in time since they opened many years ago. Rounded espresso. with cinnamon powder is a most. They have some options to eat, and coffee in grains to prepare your own coffee at home. But beyond all historic context, have no seats, don’t accept ANY card payment only cash and they don’t improved the service for better, for not just preserving, but maximising the experience of what was the old downtown.

Cupping Café is an ideal spot for those seeking a productive environment to settle down and tackle some tasks. With ample workstations equipped with outlets and reliable WiFi, it caters to the needs of individuals looking to get work done. The cold brew coffee with milk is highly recommended, while their assortment of baked goods appears visually enticing. For those inclined towards non-dairy options, homemade nut milk is also available. Additionally, Stanley provides excellent service and even engages in French conversations with customers.
Cupping is my top 1 coffee place in São Paulo. They have always different coffee options, with a lot of methods available, a cozy place, and great service! Free water as well. My recommendation is to pick one coffee that fits your taste and let the baristas pick the right method.
Marcelio L — Google review
Cupping Café is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers looking to explore different brewing methods and a variety of coffee beans. During my visit, I tried a fruitier coffee, which was enjoyable but left me hoping for a bit more brightness. I’m definitely planning to return and explore other options from their extensive menu. Beyond coffee, what really stood out was their impressive selection of food — both sweet and savory. The highlight for me was the surprising number of vegan options, ranging from croissants to pão de queijo.

"We Coffee" is a trendy café located in Sao Paulo, attracting a young and fashionable crowd. The modern aesthetic with an elephant logo gives it a futuristic vibe. However, the café is not just about looks; it aims to provide high-quality coffee to its customers and is known for pioneering the original salty cream tea. While some have noted that the service could be improved, others have praised the excellent food and beautiful presentation of desserts.
Service left a bit to be desired, one of the sandwiches we saw was clearly in stock but we couldn't order it because the machine you order from wasn't up to date on inventory. We asked about it and they said it would be fixed then walked away. There were some stains on the seated cushion by the windows that felt odd to sit on, but other than that the atmosphere was really cool. The food was excellent though, truly delicious and beautiful presentation. The bathroom had a paper towel fixture hanging off the wall, the lights turn off every 1 minute if you're not moving, the faucet was not mounted properly to the sink, and the button to flush the toilet was hanging off the wall. Still, the food was so good that Id go back.
Ryan S — Google review
This place is disgustingly dirty. I don't understand how people rave about it. The place was quite empty and we were the only people being served, yet it took 15 minutes to make 2 smoothies. The last time the men's bathroom was checked by a cleaner was a week ago. The food and smoothie was good, but I was seriously concerned that I would catch a disease because the shop (and the kitchen) was so dirty. I came to edit my review, because it needs to be said that this has been pointed out for weeks now and management keep saying they are working on it (the place was a lot filthier today than photos from a week ago!!), but they clearly haven't done anything to improve. The first thing you could do is to employ a cleaner! It's not rocket science. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Very poor experience. Doesn't worth the money and the time spent there. Very filthy place... lots of flies and really nothing speciall food. Maybe it was something special but not anymore. Dirty wall and floor, waste bin open inside the kitchen, lots of cracked wall. For the money they charge it should be a much better and high quality place.

Excellent coffee spot in the heart of Liberdade - we tried the house special cheesy garlic bread, which is what they’re famous for. Really really good - they add a sweet cream cheese so you get a nice sweet and savory flavor profile. I also noticed they had salted cheese foam tea - good to see this expanding from Asia to Brazil, makes total sense for it to appear in Liberdade

Peruvian restaurant
Rinconcito Peruano is a popular spot among locals and visitors, offering high-quality Peruvian cuisine in a neighborhood off the beaten path for tourists. The menu features an extensive selection of authentic Peruvian dishes, with ceviche being a standout favorite. The restaurant is part of a chain known for its delicious ceviche and chaufa, which are generously portioned and reasonably priced. Guests rave about the flavorful lemonade and the tres leches dessert.
The best Peruvian restaurant in São Paulo! We ordered the ceviche familiar, the arroz de mariscos and arroz de chaufa. All amazing and served really well 6 people.

Tasty beef made with perfect cooking level. Also good portion. And plus they open on Sundays
Gabriel G — Google review
Part of a chain of Peruvian restaurants in São Paulo. I'm a big fan of the food in these restaurants. The ceviche and chaufa are both very tasty. One portion of the latter is also easily enough food for two people. The ceviche serving sizes are a lot smaller. Prices are fair. Chaufas cost between R$35-50 and ceviches R$45-70, based on "individual" serving sizes. Desserts are also affordable at around R$15-20. I recall having wine in the restaurant in Jardins, but not available in this one. They did have a lemonade that was tasty and only cost R$22 for a liter. Service is variable and can be slow when the restaurant is busy. This isn't the place to go for a refined service experience, the quality of the food and the reasonable prices more than make up for the service.

Very Nice Peruvian restaurant! I went there for a birthday and farewell party with a very large group and they were able to accommodate everyone. The food is very beautiful. I wanted to taste everything! The dishes are huge. I ordered one chaufa and I had to ask them to wrap it for me to bring it home, and afterwards I was able to eat twice. They also have chicha morada - the black corn juice! I would recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality and different meal!

Bar do Biu is a popular establishment in Sao Paulo that has become an institution for locals and visitors alike. Located near the Praca Benedito Calixto bric-a-brac market, this restaurant with a bar setting serves Northeastern dishes and offers traditional feijoada every day. It is a prime example of the no-frills bars/lunchrooms found throughout Brazil, where you can enjoy a satisfying meal at an affordable price.
If you're looking for an authentic local dining experience with traditional Brazilian cuisine, this is the perfect spot. It has the charm of a family-owned business with a home-cooked feel. While it's not a fancy, touristy place, the flavors are exceptional. Plus, it's more affordable than most tourist restaurants. They are open until 18:00

Nice food in a trendy spot in Pinheiros, São Paulo. Bar do Biu has that vibe of popular bar/restaurant serving traditional popular Brazilian dishes, such as feijoada, rabada and galinhada. The portions are very well served, and quite tasty as well! I love the fact that they preserved the architecture of the house when conceiving the venue, for it helps maintain that 1940/1950 vibe of São Paulo. Finally, staff is super friendly, and food comes out quickly.

Local home cooked “feijioda” and other typical Brazilian meals. It gets busy on Saturday around lunch time (2-3 PM). Expect to wait long time if you have a large group(>4 pp).Pic below is the feijioda simples. Will do for 1-2 pp.
Raymond P — Google review
A friend of ours who lives near SP recommended this place. Highlight of the menu was Baiao. It was something new to me and since I've had Feijoada in many places we opted to try it out with dry meat (a moda). Additionally to the staff recommended to get a hump meat (cupim) as well. We are not Portuguese speakers and the staff were very kind working with us using Google translate. In addition, they even gave us an appetizer on the house. Food : amazing. Just that. It's very simple food but making it would have taken quite some time. Very homey. Staff : as I've mentioned they worked with us using Google translate. One thing to note is that we went during earlier hours when they were a bit less busy. Wait time : we didn't have to wait because we went fairly early. Overall : it's a great experience and hopefully I'll get to try other items on the menu again!

What a gem of a spot! ‘Cozy’ vibe, quick and friendly service, and some seriously good coffee to kick things off. I had the duck dish – the sauce was a little heavy for my taste, but the duck itself? It was my second time there. Service is good and I thought the same about the food (*spoil* alert - I was wrong). When I got there I was totally fine, but when I got home after dinner, less than 1h later I started having this awful stomachache- stronger than anything I’ve had before, had to go to the ER because of the pain +🤮. After several exams that ruled out other stuff (like appendicitis etc), the most likely cause: spoiled food. I suspect it was the cupim sando (rump steak bao). Quite disappointing

(Translated by Google) Picturesque! Starting with the location and amenities. Next door, there's a small plaza where beach chairs are set up for customers. Despite the selection of international beans (unprecedented in coffee shops), I chose a Brazilian filter coffee to try (planning on buying the beans to take home later). And also a hand-brewed espresso. I really liked the filter coffee, but the espresso wasn't to my liking (an earthy aftertaste that I don't like). (Original) Pitoresco!

Nestled in the vibrant Jardins neighborhood, Botanikafe is a delightful haven that feels like stepping into a lush garden. As soon as you enter, the enchanting atmosphere with its low-hanging plants and cozy brown leather seating invites you to capture every moment on camera. This café is not just about aesthetics; it offers an immersive experience perfect for brunch or dinner, whether you're flying solo or enjoying time with friends.
(Translated by Google) The best place to have a good brunch or enjoy a delicious dinner in São Paulo. Botanikafé doesn't just deliver gastronomy, but an immersion in a welcoming, cozy and peaceful environment to go alone, with your loved one or with friends. In addition to the beautiful execution of the drinks menu, the dishes are a spectacle in themselves, from the brunch menu to the dinner menu. Everything very well done and very tasty. The service is also always excellent! I've been to all 3 units and the one I like the most is Jardins, which has a more intimate atmosphere, however, Butantã offers a beach-style atmosphere that's also super cool to enjoy on hot days! Terraço Itália is an elegant Italian restaurant located on the 41st floor of Edificio Italia, a 46-storey skyscraper in Sao Paulo. The restaurant offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city and is known for its upscale, candlelit ambiance. It features a piano and offers a wide selection of Italian cuisine and wines. While it may be expensive for a full meal, visitors can still enjoy the stunning views by sitting at the restaurant bar.
We only paid for a ticket to the observation deck. This include a drink. Spectacular views and a good way to get an impression of Sao Paulo. One thing that is typical to all Brazilian places to visit is that there is a total lack of information. It is not very clear how to get to the top and our the ticket works. So they always want to find somebody who speaks English to explain it. For us that's not really necessary but they insist.

Food was good, but not the best I had. Lovely atmosphere and great views, a really romantic place to spend an evening at. Great service too, apart from a server taking away my unfinished cocktail without asking 🤷‍♀️to add, we went to the bar afterwards and the service went down significantly, no one took our order, no server once looked at our table, we asked one server if he could take a photo of us and he couldn't find 5 seconds to do so... Completely opposite service than in the restaurant. The entertainment were great in both. Piano playing and singing in the bar.

I like to start by saying that I went to my girlfriend and engagement ring , It was special occasion. Have to Thank the Maitre di , he maid the ring presentation unforgettable, It was a moment to remember.. The main waiter I was not too happy, Never came to the table to ask how’s your food Or anything else that you would like. My fiancé ordered the fish and unfortunately, she was throwing up the whole night and did not settle well with her and very dehydrated. We had to take her to hospital nex Day. I had a number one plate steak filet mignon with the black mushrooms, which you only get three and the sauce on the steak I would say it was just a marsala sauce on it. I travel over Europe and I know exactly what I’m eating, especially at a high-end restaurant like this. I never didn’t want to complain to the waiter. The rice that had no taste.. Main reason, I was very happy with the attention they gave to the ring presentation, I just didn’t know we were going to be in the hospital the next day with dehydration from throwing up From the fish that she ate. Been trying to call the Restaurant to fill them in with what happened and I haven’t been able to get in touch. $20 charges for the piano playing. I like to see what they would say.

Mocotó - Bar e Restaurante is a vibrant culinary gem nestled in Vila Medeiros, São Paulo, that beautifully marries traditional Northeastern cuisine with contemporary flair. Established in 1973 by José de Almeida and now helmed by his son, Chef Rodrigo Oliveira, the restaurant has evolved while honoring its roots. The menu features delightful dishes like the innovative Tortilha de mandioca with confit sun-dried beef and creamy requeijão from the North.
I feel like I keep saying this but this was my 8th day in Brazil, visiting from Canada and so far this was my favourite restaurant. Food and presentation of food was amazing. Super fast service and the staff was very friendly. I got the Oxtail (Rabada) and a really nice craft beer from Rio called Orange Sunshine.

We heeded advice from friends and arrived 30 min before they opened for lunch. Everything we had was delicious and of course we had to get the dadinhos and mandioca chips. I had the suco do dia which was graviola and it was excellent.

Highly reviewed location. Terrenos were better than other locations. Dobradinha was excellent. Flavor is when you want to lick the plate. But they give you a nice toasty bread. Darn!!! Carne de sol was nicely cooked. Caipirinha was ok. Maybe weak. Staff very friendly.

Tordesilhas is a cozy restaurant in Brazil that offers a unique blend of Minas Gerais and Bahia flavors. One of its standout dishes is the Tacaca starter, a hot seafood broth from Para made with jambu leaf, known for its tingling sensation when eaten. The head chef also sells this dish on the street every two months, following the tradition in Belem.
The service was impecable, beautiful ambiance, good wine selection. I had the “caju amigo” drink which was a great start to the dinner. For the main dishes we had the “moqueca c peixe e camarão” and the “ravioli” bot he dishes were delicious. For dessert we had the “tapioca ice cream w cocada”. The only reason i didn’t give a 5 start because the food was “too salty” for our taste.

🍽️ Dinner in São Paulo – Traditional Brazilian Cuisine 🇧🇷 Tonight, we dined at a restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide, known for its traditional Brazilian dishes. We were recommended several must-try items—but overall, the experience felt a bit underwhelming. ✨ Moqueca Capixaba de Peixe e Camarão – A classic Brazilian seafood stew with fish and prawns simmered in a tomato and annatto broth, served bubbling in a clay pot. It came with a side of rice, reminiscent of Chinese-style meals. While the presentation was inviting, the flavor lacked depth—mainly salty, but missing aromatic richness. 🥩 Costelinha de Porco Confitada, Arroz de Feijoada e Couve – Grilled pork ribs with brown rice and kale. Unfortunately, the dish was quite one-note—monotonous and not particularly flavorful. 🥟 Assorted Pastries – We started with a mix of savory pastries filled with shrimp, jerked beef, marinated vegetables, and coalho cheese drizzled with cane molasses. While visually appealing, none of them stood out as especially unique or memorable. 🧀 Fried Manioc Balls with Homemade Cheese – Decent texture and mildly satisfying, but again, nothing to rave about. 🥘 Meat Simmered for 10 Hours in a Sealed Clay Pot – Served with grilled plantain and manioc flour, this was described as a must-try. Sadly, it too fell short—tender, yes, but lacking complexity and depth of flavor. 🍷 We paired the meal with some Brazilian wine, which was pleasant, but the food overall leaned heavily on salt and lacked the layered spices or bold tastes we were hoping for. Communication was also a challenge, as the staff spoke limited English, which made ordering a bit tricky. While it’s always great to explore local cuisine, this particular experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. Sometimes, Michelin doesn’t always mean magic ✨

This restaurant was recommended to me by a Brasilian friend, and it happened to be 4 min walk from my apartment. I came here for a solo dinner and ended up having a blast with another person who was also dinning solo. Next day i came back and got to meet the owners, a lovely couple. Food was really tasty, great atmosphere, and really affordable too. Would definitely recommend!

Restaurante Porque Sim is a popular spot for Japanese culture enthusiasts, anime fans, and karaoke lovers. The restaurant offers private karaoke rooms where groups can enjoy singing in seclusion. These rooms tend to get crowded on weekends and holidays, but the overall cost becomes reasonable when divided among a large group of people, especially if rented for several hours. Visitors have praised the efficient and polite staff who provide great service even during busy times.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Japanese food, similar to what we've had in Japan. The kare katsu was fantastic. The katsu was crispy and moist, while the curry itself packed a lot of flavour using carrots and beef. We also had the sashimi/tempura set. The salmon was fresh. The tempura was the star of the show! Batter was so light and ultra crispy, just like how great tempura should be. Free tea was also offered.

Le Botteghe di Leonardo is a charming gelateria nestled in the heart of Jardim Paulista, where traditional Italian gelato takes center stage. This sophisticated spot offers an array of delightful flavors, particularly focusing on seasonal fruits like mango, papaya, and strawberry. The gelato is crafted with fresh ingredients—just fruit, water, and sugar—ensuring a pure taste experience. For those who prefer smaller portions or are looking for something unique, they even provide mini servings!
Cute cafe with lovely and nice staff, tried the small sandwich cookies with brigadeiro, pistachio and lemon - really nice, they are sweet and filled with nuts too. Went there twice because of the cookies 🍪
Daniela L — Google review
I use the consistency of gelato for reference. This was more like ice-cream. The sugar-free options are stevia sweetened rather than sucralose and other less ‘friendly’ options. Bacio de latte seems the reference here in Brazil though it’s a poor cousin of the genuine stuff and overly sweet imo.
Chris H — Google review
While hopping from one ice cream shop to another, we came across this one; good ice cream with a nice texture. The warm, wood-toned decor made it feel very cozy. When we visited, there was only one employee (and no other customers), so we got to enjoy the place all to ourselves.
Moshé S — Google review
A nice location with decent outdoor seating as the space inside their premises are quite limited. The gelato is excellent, but the other desserts are a bit lacking in edibility and therefore value.
Adam S — Google review
Good desserts. The strawberry chocolate ice cream popsicle was very good. Strawberry gelato and lemon gelato were good. Service was helpful and friendly. Some of the staff speak English which was great as well.
Philip — Google review
Ice cream OK but a bit watery and not comparable to Albero dei Gelati (best) or Bacio di Latte. On the upside, many vegan options and quite a few sugar free flavours (with stevia instead).
Tobias — Google review
The fruits ice-cream flavors are really good but at the last time it felt like too much sugar.

Incredible vegan (and dairy) gelato. Authentic Italian style. Chocolate & Lemon & Passionfruit flavours are divine.

Sushi restaurant
Jun Sakamoto is a renowned chef who runs an elegant Japanese restaurant, where he crafts elaborate dishes with unique and high-quality ingredients. The restaurant, which is discreetly located in a hidden spot, offers an exclusive dining experience for only eight guests at a time. Jun's omakase philosophy allows him to curate a 13-piece tasting menu featuring delicacies such as hokkigai and sea urchin, along with the freshest daily catches.
Jun Sakamoto in São Paulo offers an extraordinary omakase experience, seamlessly blending precision and artistry in every course. The service is impeccable, with the staff attentive to detail without being intrusive, guiding you through each dish with a genuine passion for the ingredients and flavors. The omakase itself is well-balanced, offering a harmonious progression of flavors and textures that showcases the chef’s expertise and respect for traditional techniques while introducing subtle, modern touches. From the quality of the seafood to the elegant plating, every aspect of the experience feels meticulously crafted. For anyone looking for an authentic, high-quality omakase in São Paulo, Jun Sakamoto is a standout choice that delivers an exceptional dining experience.
Ray B — Google review
I had high hopes for Jun Sakamoto, especially given its Michelin star status, but unfortunately, I feel it didn’t fully meet expectations. While the presentation and craftsmanship of the dishes were commendable, I found the experience to be overpriced for what was delivered. The sushi was undoubtedly fresh and well-prepared, but there wasn’t enough of a “wow factor” to justify the premium cost. Beyond the food, the service felt a bit cold and impersonal, which took away from the warm, intimate atmosphere you’d expect at a fine dining establishment of this caliber. While I respect the skill involved, I left feeling that the experience didn’t live up fully to its reputation especially for the price.
Jay — Google review
This has to be one of the best Omakase I’ve ever had in my life, from the first bite of the bluefin tuna I knew I was in for a treat (I think I rolled me eyes uncontrollably). It started off so strong and it stayed at the same level throughout, every single one was phenomenal, well balanced and perfect flavored. 10/10 and so well deserved Michelin star Environment: simple clean elegant design, everything was very well thought out from the inside and out and elevates the experience Food: I would honestly come back to São Paulo just for this. All the ingredients were sourced from all over the world for the best quality, the seasoning on each balance out the flavor perfectly. Food from the kitchen were all like a warm hug. Chef(Ryuzo Nishimura) so nice and so humble, and you can tell he’s genuinely happy with what he does and that makes the meal special. I was lucky to get a seat at the bar to watch him showcase his beautiful art. As the only non-Portuguese speaker on the table, chef patiently explained every dish to me in perfect English. I was the last one waiting for my Uber after they close and chef saw me and waited for my Uber with me. Service: people were very attentive and they all speak English (for us non-Brazilians) Price: coming from the US this is such a steal for Omakase let alone at this quality This has become one of my favorite restaurants in the world, and I honestly would come back to São Paulo just for this. As someone who never write reviews I feel obligated to leave one, it’s THAT good. If you can only have one meal in São Paulo, THIS IS IT!
Kevin Y — Google review
Jun Sakamoto offers a stunning array of carefully crafted dishes poised to surprise and wow guests. From the outside, the restaurant seems to be a garage rather than a restaurant, however, once the doors open, guests are greeted with a zen style garden deco, floor to ceiling windows and of course, the famous chefs. Once seated, the meals equally wowed. From the small appetizer of steamed squid with roe to the blue fin tuna, each piece of food was crafted with care and a strong attention to detail. The dessert wasn’t much to write home about, a rather simple green apple ice cream. Overall the restaurant offers an experience deserving of its one star status.
John M — Google review
Fantastic food! Impeccable service. Jun was very attentive and took the time to chat with us (about a lot of topics). After listening from him about all the tricks and techniques he has to employ to deliver superb quality it’s easier to understand why his restaurant is so successful! For another 20+ years!!
Neury F — Google review
We went for omakase with chef Ryuzo Nishimura, who was great all around, very attentive service, pleasant and was probably the only person in the restaurant that spoke English. Food was what you would expect in a 1* restaurant, very classic edomae style sushi, and produce was great. Although, the serious complaint is that they do not use real wasabi, which should be a must for a such restaurant and at this price point. Omakase menu is farily priced at about 120 EUR per person, while wine markup was insanely high - more than double the price than what it should be in a restaurant. The restaurant didn't have a sommelier or a good wine list for that matter. Overall if you skip the wine, I would recommend this restaurant as a good choice.
Danko V — Google review
The service is nice. The restaurant atmosphere is nice. The courses are almost all sushi. The sushi pieces were all soaked in some sweet soy sauce, which is weird, covering up the taste of the fresh fish. The selection of the fishes tonight didn't contain anything special.
Henry S — Google review
We were served by Ryuzo and the experience was perfect! He explained every dish, entertained us and prepared a very coherent menu. It was R$600 per person + drinks. I will return, 100% guaranteed.

The coffee shop COFFEETOWN VILA MARIANA is a great place to visit if you're looking for delicious breakfast food and great service. The expansive menu includes stack pancakes, juices and pies, making it the perfect spot to start your day. Plus, the cozy setting and friendly staff make it a great spot to relax after a busy day.
Since moving to São Paulo, been hard to find American brunch spots. This is close to it, I really enjoyed the service and ambiance. Nonetheless, it seems all the pancakes that I’ve had in São Paulo have the texture of cornbread than light fluffy pancakes that I’m used to. I’m not sure why the pancakes here are so dense. Other than that, great restaurant!
Ali P — Google review
This place really has the ability to be great, but after multiple things going wrong, the food taste only being somewhat okay, terrible service and cold food I can’t give this place anymore than 2 stars. The latte was room temperature when I got it, it also took 20 minutes to arrive. The pink lemonade was not sweet, it was bitter and bland. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive and it wasn’t even super busy. The blueberry pancakes were very tasty, the waffles were bland, cold, burnt and dry and didn’t come within anything just the waffle. The cinnamon roll was dry and room temperature. The Ovos Mexicado’s (Scrambled eggs with cheese) tasted great! I ordered some bacon with them and was super tasty! After our food was dropped off we never had the server come up to us again and had to go to the register to find someone to pay the bill which was pretty ridiculous. The atmosphere is really cool, it has 2 levels, a front balcony outdoor area to sit on the second floor and a back outdoor area to sit, along with all the indoor seating areas.
Brandon H — Google review
Nice place for breakfast and brunch. The outside area is nice when it's not too hot. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars as the scones were not really authentic (the dough was different and they would never put sugar on top in the UK).
P — Google review
Pistachio pancake - had a nutty charm and the subtle crunch was on point but the spread was over powering and didn’t taste natural. The pancake was dense like cornbread than a light, fluffy pancake. Flavors was right but the topping and the pancake should be much lighter. Salad and orange juice was fresh and good. Server - gentleman downstairs next to the cashier/ bar. Whilst spoke limited English, he delivered smiles and perfect service. Overall, I would still return when I don’t want to eat hotel breakfast in the next few days of vacation here in Sao paolo.

We had an American Breakfast, which has an amount of food to easily satisfy two people. Tasty food accompanied by coffee made right before you and an immense orange juice glass. I’ve been there a few times, always on weekend days, and it was packed in every visit, with a relatively long waiting line. However, this time, we visited on a Friday, and there was no line at all.
Dan L — Google review
Nice spot with great coffee in São Paulo. London Coffee Station has a cozy, beautiful atmosphere and serves excellent specialty coffee—the Americano (similar to a Long Black) was smooth and delicious. The cakes, though, were dry and flavorless, so I’d skip those. Service was a bit slow and not very attentive, except for the hostess who was friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely come back for the coffee and to try their brunch dishes.
Oliver — Google review
Had a wonderful breakfast at this super cool london themed spot. The Nozos pancakes were divine...and the French press coffee was just the right match. All of the food was a little more dense than might be typical for Brazil morning fare...so prepare to leave feeling full! The atmosphere was great, even though the place was pretty full it felt cozy and intimate. Definitely if you're looking for something a little more European you should take a respite here.

I normally never write reviews but I have never been this ignored at a café. The staff rather not serve anyone at all, I think, as they negate the existence of their clients. After various attempts no one attempted to take my order. A waste of your time and your good mood.

Used to be my favorite place until today one the servers who clearly was having a bad day, with no smile take my simple order of a chicken sandwich and brought me a sandwich with pork. pastrami sandwich was unreal. i can't believe it was vegan. i honestly thought they gave me real pastrami. the oreo roll and banana cheese grilled sandwich was out of this world. i guess they call it astronauta cafe for a reason. The stuffed cake was so delicious too. I came here 4 times during my short brazil visit.

Staff great, barista friendly. Great coffee and liked the bun. Get there early afternoon as it's gets busy. Well done.
Andrew S — Google review
The place is nice, but they didn't really use the space efficiently, therefore there are some places for sitting but very few tables. This means you will have to eat holding your food and cup/glass. We tried the toast, croissant, coffee and Oreo bun. The croissant is ok(ish) and the Oreo bun is super yummy, but due to the extremely long time waiting the coffee was cold and the toast was not only cold but also kind of hard. And there were only 3 other people there, so my guess is that they are just way too slow. I was excited to try this Caffe, but it was a very disappointing experience. The girl at the cashier is quite unfriendly and didn't like to get asked how long it would take to serve the food. I wouldn't go back and don't recommend if waiting half an hour for an espresso isn't your thing - the service is simply too bad.

Really great coffee and kind workers and owner. I don’t speak Portuguese, and they were willing to speak English with me, so made me feel very welcome.
Trevor L — Google review
It was my treasure event in my business trip. This comment was for coffee only. At first, I was searching for stores who had sold roast beans on google maps, and I found this one. Bought a bag of coffee beans and you could get 10g testing for the flavor what you bought, and it was good after I tested. But after I came back to my country I just could hand drip those beans by myself, actually it really shocked my for those coffee beans, that were high quality and worthy of the cost. So many flavors you could tasted in one type of coffee beans, and it was so match closely with its flavor description of coffee beans. Recommend to buy their roast coffee beans and hand drip by own way to try it.
White C — Google review
I think it is a good place for coffee lovers, saw people trying out different beans. But the environment would not be a relaxing brunch/snack place since it is facing the street, lots of noise and no air conditioning. Tried their yuzu tiramisu, good but slightly soggy.

A wonderful japanese coffee experience in the center of Brooklin.
Daniel V — Google review
Pato Rei feels like an exciting place to be. It's modern, has a young team, and occupies a cool, though small space in Pinheiros. By focusing on great Japanese food and specialty coffee, they really stand out alone in a market where most exceptional cafes serve only underwhelming food. Pato Rei offers an array of marvellous Japanese food, such as the beautiful and delicious Okonomiyaki. The Panelinha de Cogumelos was deep in mushroom flavour and well accompanied by brioche (although not enough!), and both the Katsu Sando and the Queijo Quente were expertly made. In terms of pastries and desserts, the donuts are certainly the best I've found in the city, and I cannot wait to experiment with the exceptionally instagrammable salted caramel chocolate The coffee offering though doesn't quite hit the mark. The flat white was, well, slightly flat and lacking in any coffee flavour. The description of the Espresso Deuso on the menu offered exotic beans, and extra creaminess and sweetness, but at R$14 only delivered a very sour, under extracted shot which was so unbalanced it was difficult to drink. This was the biggest disappointment for me, as I tend to judge the skill and knowledge of a cafe based on how perfectly they can pull a shot. When the coffee becomes more consistent, Pato Rei is an easy 5 stars. There is really nowhere else like it in the city.

Selina Aurora São Paulo & Cowork is a vibrant hostel nestled in the heart of downtown São Paulo, where the city's cultural and business districts converge. This trendy spot features colorful accommodations ranging from dorms to private rooms, all designed with a modern flair that showcases local art and stylish decor. Guests can enjoy amenities like a restaurant/bar, screening room, and guest kitchen while soaking up the lively atmosphere that attracts both young professionals and adventurous travelers.
I traveled here solo and stayed in a private room so I could work without distractions so I never used the CoWork space. The WiFi though was good enough in the rooms so no problem (about 20 to 30mb/s) and it was stable. Room was clean and the shower had good pressure and enough hot water. I didn't choose to stay here because of the location as it can definitely be sketchy for some if you're not prepared but I had no problems going out late at night (granted this is a male perspective). The real reason I stayed here was to meet people and it started right at check in. Maria checked me in and couldn't have been more thankful for that. She was amazing, informative and made a point to set me up with other like minded travelers and activities. Its going to be hard to top this experience and can't wait to be back. Overall would recommend.

Stayed here over new years and there was no one else here. That should have been a red flag. Rooms and lockers are good, but the bathroom needs ventilation as it was mouldy (seems to be an issue with all Selina’s) Did not get the welcome drink as promised and service was average. Sometimes the kitchen was closed, sometimes it wasn’t with no reasoning. Common areas were great but no sunlight. The area is ok, but as a single female after dark I did not feel comfortable at all. Would be good with friends. It is close to major attractions and located in a Gay bar area. Management still have to get back to me about the bed bugs found in my room - pretty slack if you ask me.

The building seems old and run down. The toilet is leaking and the solution was to put towels around it, which only made me scared to use the towels. It felt like they focused more about making the murals look nice for Instagram than making it a good place to stay. The staff was nice and friendly, but had a hard time finding me a room. It took several tries to get to a vacant, habitable room. The worst part was that the walls are paper thin. I felt like I was sleeping in the streets most nights. And the thumping music from the bars across the street lasted till 5AM.

This area is extremely dangerous. I was attacked three times and on the third time my phone was stolen. I HIGHLY recommend that hotel staff warn tourist of the gangs on bikes (also dressed as delivery men) and to avoid going out after a certain time. If I was warned beforehand, my stay in Sao Paulo would have been much better. Other than that, the staff and services were great. It feels extremely safe within the hotel, especially with the security guards. There are tons of opportunities to socialize in the common areas.

Unfortunately, this hotel is not on par with other Selina Hotels I've stayed at. The first room I was given was not clean (stains on the sheets, a full garbage bin), and the second room wasn't much better. It's not very clean - there was a funky smell and when I opened the door to the bathroom one night and turned the lights on, I was greeted by two cockroaches. The pillows are terrible - I didn't get a single good night's sleep here. The walls are paper thin - not only did I hear people in the hallway coming and going, but I also heard the person next to me snore at night and I heard him flush the toilet (the flush here is insanely loud!). The staff seemed lackluster (the cleaning ladies don't seem to come in every day), and the Selina spirit (being able to meet like-minded travelers / digital nomads) wasn't palpable at all. This seemed more like a regular hotel with older folks and the communal areas were small (and often deserted). Another thing I should mention is that the wifi cut out over and over again - which isn't great in what's branding itself as a "coworking Hotel". There's also a new building going up right behind the Selina and construction noise (jackhammering!) started every morning around 7am. It's impossible to make work calls with that background noise; I had to go elsewhere to call clients. This is of course something I don't blame Selina for, and something that's temporary, but if you need to make work calls, be aware of the current noise level (Feb 2024). The location seems central, but doesnt feel safe at night. As another reviewer mentioned, there are a lot of sketchy people hanging out around the hotel and a warning from the hotel staff would be nice.. especially as a solo female traveler a warning would have been nice (beware of the fake delivery guys on bikes, for example). The other Selina in Sao Paulo is in a much better location (right near Batman Alley, lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance in the trendy Pinheiros neighborhood) - if you want to stay at a Selina in Sao Paulo, I'd recommend that one over the Selina Aurora (but read recent reviews - mentions of bedbugs kept me away!) If you're considering spending a longer time in Sao Paulo (a week or even a month), I'd suggest booking a shorter stay to see how you feel about the hotel and the surrounding area, and then extend your stay if you're comfortable.

The place has a beautiful, rustic atmosphere that can be felt throughout the whole building. I spend roughly a week here and had a great time. After my check in I got appointed my room, but i quickly noticed that the sheets were a little dirty. After informing the staff they respond instantly, apologized and offered me a different, better room. The staff is very friendly and will help you out as much as they can. The restaurant inside the hotel offers really tasty breakfast, lunch and other necessities. Overall, a great experience!

They experience troubles with some of the rooms but at the end they solve everything. They even gave us a suite since the other two regular rooms had issues with the toilet. The people is nice and friendly. I highly recommend the yoga teacher !!!! Food was good (only tried breakfast)

I’m somewhat surprised by the fact that there’s quite a few negative reviews here. Our 4-night stay during carnaval was absolutely great. We loved it. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere with cool industrial design elements combined with the work of local artists. The hotel overall is very clean. We stayed in a 4 person room for 1 night and a standard double room for 3 more nights. Both rooms were immaculately clean with comfortable beds and a very nice shower. There’s also plenty of facilities: The kitchen is big and well-equipped and there’s an optional co-work. Really nice extras are the cinema and library. Both very nice places to relax. Lastly, the crew was helpful and friendly. There were no problems when we wanted to expand our 2-night stay in the double room with another night in the same room. Can’t really say that I found the location a very dangerous area, but I don’t know how it’s like outside of carnaval. Overall, the hotel had a very nice vibe and I’d definitely recommend it!

The Coffee Lounge is a great place to get coffee, with professional preparation every time. They have a variety of drinks, including a V60 French press, Flat White, and many more to try. It's also the best coffee shop in Itaim Bibi and Vila Olimpia.
Good prices, excellent coffee and nice environment! The internet connection is also good and I recommend for remote work 👩‍💻 the cakes are delicious too!

Tastemade Café offers excellent coffee in a welcoming environment, with friendly staff. The wide variety of pastries and sandwiches is perfect for breakfast or lunch, and the sweet treats make it a great spot to stop by after work.

(Translated by Google) The service left a lot to be desired, they didn't look at us when we came in, they didn't have some of our orders and they forgot to write down things we asked for because they were talking and singing. The air conditioning was dripping and there was a bucket underneath it. The food is good, but nothing special, it's just another place that only has a name!

(Translated by Google) The place is nice, has few tables and the service needs to improve a lot. The coffee, as well as the food, are quite reasonable compared to other coffee shops near Vila Madalena. But that doesn't mean it's bad. It's worth checking out. (Original) O lugar é agradável, tem poucas mesas e o atendimento precisa melhorar muito. O café, assim como as comidas, são bem razoáveis comparados com outras cafeterias próximas da Vila Madalena. (Translated by Google) What do you think of when you think of Tastemade Brasil? So I thought of a "Wonderful Food Factory" lol when I got there I realized that it's not really like that. I asked for the menu and it didn't have any pictures of any product, when I asked the waiter if he had a picture of the dish to know what it was, he said no. Even though we placed our order on our cell phone (where we could have pictures of the dishes saved to get an idea) she tried to explain what it was. The food was delicious... there were two TVs in front of us showing wonderful things and none of that was for sale... 😢 My disappointment was the cake... I thought "the cake" was going to come... that beautiful slice that was on the TV but it came as a cake wrapped in aluminum foil.😭 In the outdoor area they don't pay much attention to orders if it's full inside. I had to call to be served a few times. I thought the prices were a little high, but that's just my opinion and they must be constantly improving. It's always good to discover new places and have your own opinions.

(Translated by Google) Coffee with affection. One of the best options for specialty coffees in the Oscar Freire area, @ocabralcafe is a cafe made by a group of people who love what they serve, with beans from the Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais regions. The coffee I tried was from the Vale do Caxixe farm in Castelo, ES. I hadn't tried any coffee before and it was really good, sweet, smooth with a caramel flavor that the bagel with jam went well with! @danieltavaresr and @analilianoliveira show that size doesn't matter. Nestled near the bustling Avenida Paulista, Padaria Bella Paulista is a delightful bakery and patisserie that welcomes visitors around the clock. This spacious eatery boasts an impressive array of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it a perfect stop for any meal of the day. With its unlimited breakfast and brunch offerings at an affordable price, it's ideal for groups or families looking to indulge in delicious Brazilian treats like pão de queijo and coxinha.
One of the Best Sandwich that I have ever eaten. You should go and try this as soon as possible! Wonderful! Even the sausage and beef (seems like a starter) was 500g each… honestly… we were shocked. Perfect perfect perfect.

I always stop at Bella Paulista bakery when I am visiting São Paulo. The food is amazing but in December 2024 I had big disappointment. I went with my family and the experience was bad. My husband and my son only speak English and the staff was very rude. I speak Portuguese and, when I went to order some appetizers, the server totally ignored me. I sent a complaint to the bakery management and they never responded. I won’t waste my money and my time on this place never again.

Starbucks is a well-known coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light bites along with WiFi access. You can find a friendly neighborhood Starbucks just off the main path, featuring ample seating including an outdoor patio. The staff is known for serving hot beverages promptly and with a smile, while also offering various treats and light meals. Customers appreciate the good ambiance, service, and even the decorative touches.
