Home Team BBQ is a lively tavern known for its generous portions of smoked meat and classic Southern sides, accompanied by frequent live music. The original location, housed in a converted 1900s gas station, remains popular among locals despite the expansion to multiple spots in Charleston and even one in Aspen. The menu features slow-cooked meats and traditional Southern sides, complemented by an extensive drink selection including frozen cocktails, American whiskies, and craft beers.
If you’re looking for a chill spot with good BBQ and a great view, this place is solid. The vibe is super relaxed, perfect for hanging out after a day on the mountain. Plus, you get a nice view of the Buttermilk ski slopes while you eat. I had the pulled pork nachos, and they were pretty good. Plenty of toppings, smoky and flavorful, without being overwhelming. My friend got the carnitas tacos, and they were just as good. Overall, it’s a great spot to kick back, enjoy some good food, and take in the scenery. I’d definitely come back.

While staying at the hotel a few days. I heard great things about Home Team BBQ and have it a try. Since day one I was hooked on the flavor and so this review is from 3 different days trying different options. I’ll start by saying that from Christy the host, to the servers like Gil and others, they were great and made the experience well enjoyed. Ate after 6pm most days. Dined in with no wait time. Recommendations provided of daily specials by everyone. Food wait time was normal on all dine-in. First day I tried the turkey platter with baked beans and Mac & cheese. Everything was fenomenal, so tender. I’m big on Max & cheese which is why I had on all 3 occasions. Portion is just right with a bit of the harden cheese. Stays hot during course of the meal which is great. Beans flavorful with that smoky presence. Second day I went for the wings…😋😋😋 OMG!!! The flavor is to the bone 🦴 so good. No lack of smoky taste here! It’s definitely a party in the mouth when you first bite into them! Added mac & cheese. Can’t pass that up. Third day Christy points out having the Cuban sandwich on the specials menu. Being from south Florida , Cuban sandwiches can be found throughout. Trying foods outside of my daily circles provides an opportunity to taste different renditions of popular foods. This Cuban sandwich is no exception. The sandwich includes all the main elements from Cuban sandwiches but with their own touch. Hint of mustard included which is a must in Cuban sandwich and the pickles were added, cut thicker than the norm and is a great touch. The pork has the smoky taste which is unique to Home Team BBQ and makes the entire sandwich explode with flavor. Size looks small but was very filling. Size just right. Amazing place to dine and highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lastly, the views outside are stunning and make outdoor eating so enjoyable. 🏔️

We had a wonderful dining experience with good food and excellent service. One of our dishes was slightly delayed, but the manager went out of their way to make it right by offering us a complimentary dessert—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. That kind of service truly sets a place apart. We’ll definitely be back!
Pankaj K — Google review
If you're a fan of great BBQ and pretty views, this place is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away at the base of the mountain, it offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and natural beauty. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The food was delicious. We were a party of 7 so there was a lot of variety in our order. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the chicken had a perfect smoky crust, and the sauces added just the right kick. The creamy mac and cheese with pepper and tater tot’s were just right. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. It's rare to find a place that delivers this well on taste, vibe, and value all in one package. Highly recommended!
Kristen D — Google review
The food is good, fresh, and seasoned well. However for the price you shouldn’t charge so much to drink plain Lipton iced tea out of a cheap old plastic red cup and charge $2.50 for 2 oz of sauce is insane. The kids chicken tenders is cheap frozen chicken strips that come with nothing fyi. The brisket chili was the best thing that we liked.
Meghin H — Google review
Amazing food every meal we had. The fried ribs were the best ribs I've had in my life and that's hard to say as a Kansas City native.
Simon D — Google review
Got the wings and the pulled pork nachos, both were incredible!! The white sauce for the wings was the perfect balance of creamy and tangy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the mood for some good bbq

We cannot say enough positive things about Home Team BBQ's catering services—they provided the most amazing food for our wedding! We were looking for a more causal alternative for our wedding and landed on a BBQ buffet. From the first bite to the last, the quality and taste of the food were absolutely phenomenal. We were truly blown away, and more importantly, our entire wedding guest list was raving! We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. The service was impeccable, and they made the catering process seamless. If you want delicious, high-quality, and crowd-pleasing food that your guests will talk about for years to come, you must choose Home Team BBQ. They are truly top-tier!

Aspen Hickory House is a beloved BBQ spot known for its slow-smoked meats and classic sides. The restaurant caters to a diverse crowd, from hardhats to Hermes bags, offering a low-key atmosphere for everyone. The menu features outstanding ribs, onion rings, and au gratin potatoes that have garnered praise from locals. Visitors can fuel up for the day with all-day breakfast options or indulge in slow-smoked baby back ribs paired with eggs.
Got the munchies last night so I ordered the wife and I 2 milk shakes and a rack of ribs. The milkshakes were tasty and the ribs hit the spot. Saw their breakfast menu and went back the morning to dine in for a late breakfast. The food was great I enjoyed the eggs Bennie with short stack of pancakes. The wife had the chicken and waffles. All of our dishes were good. Solid home cooked meal. The waiter got us what we needed to have a good dinning experience. He was not very personable but did his task. Will drop by again.

As luck would have it, we stumbled across this amazing restaurant, in Aspen. This @hickoryhousebbq is the real deal. It was featured on that @guyfieri @diners_driveins_dives show! The ribs were amazing and we ended up buying some extra jugs of their barbecue sauce to take home!! The service was friendly and professional. Although we came in at 8:00 PM we were amazed at how many people, a lot of large families, came in after us. Obviously, this is a great place for locals.
Dennis V — Google review
Wow what a great place to grab food in Aspen! We were lucky to visit on a day when the weather was nice so they had all the doors open and the breeze was amazing. But let’s not miss the food. Food was delicious. We ordered the full rack of ribs to share and some jalapeño cheese sausage. Wow! Ribs were good but the show stopper was the sausage. So good.
John-Mark C — Google review
Fantastic food as reasonable as it gets in the area. Generous portions and tasty. It came recommended to us and they were right. They squeezed us in for last kitchen call and it was great!
Perfekte W — Google review
Really good food with a fair price for the Aspen area. I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich, and it was a good portion, right flavors, and honestly more than the sandwich can handle. The fries are good too, and the staff is helpful.
Azzam A — Google review
I can’t brag on this place enough and I was only there for like 30 minutes. Yes it is pricey but the food quality is amazing, probably the best garlic toast I’ve ever had , the service was great kind and fast. They let you keep your cup great atmosphere very clean. I would 1000% recommend and Hope to go again I traveled all the way from Colorado Springs.

Aspen Colorado's Hickory House is hands down the best barbecue restaurant in the state of Colorado I think because of the signature sauces and the food, not because of the great chill atmosphere and the beautiful mountain views which it boasts. Definitely if you go to Aspen Colorado you have to try Hickory House. If this review helps you please give it a like 👍 Thank you

Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop is a trendy spot that offers artisanal breads, meats, and cheeses alongside a selection of wine, cocktails, and beer. The restaurant has shifted to offering only to-go food during the winter season, prompting executive chef Bryan Garneau to revamp the menu for easy transport.
Meat & Cheese is the perfect little lunch spot in downtown Aspen if you’re looking for a quality bite to eat with great service. I had the street tacos and I enjoyed the fact it was Wagyu beef which isn’t typical for this type of dish. A friend had the quesabirria tacos which they enjoyed. My absolute favorite part of the meal was the salted chocolate chip cookie board which came with two cookies and vanilla milk. The cookies were SENSATIONAL!!! Perfectly baked, warm and gooey in the middle while still maintaining the ideal level of crunch throughout. They were so delicious I went back later that night after dinner at Matsuhisa to get another batch for me and my driver. Ambiance inside was nice and cozy. As a first time visitor, I enjoyed the fact they had a great selection of cheese, meats, wine, and gifts for purchase to round out the experience. Overall 9/10.

Went to celebrate my mom’s birthday and wow, I still dream about this place. If I had to pick a last meal, this would be it. I got the steak board and ate every last bite. My mom got the rotisserie chicken board. We sat outside and the views from downtown Aspen were absolutely breathtaking. The service was warm and pleasant, which made the whole experience even better. If you love steak, potatoes, and a good heartwarming meal, this spot is a must-try.
Heba — Google review
overall not bad! the meat and cheese board i’d say was a bit overpriced for what we got. it was mostly crackers. loved the mustard! we ordered the steak board and the vietnamese salad. the steak board was pretty good, the steak was a little underdone though. the salad was heavily lacking flavor, the sauce was almost the consistency of water and was not flavorful. there was also fried onions on it which didn’t really make sense to me.
Lylah M — Google review
Despite the restaurant’s name they have more than just meat and cheese here. Enjoyed their Vietnamese chicken salad and it was the best single lunch dish I’ve had in Aspen. Great combination of chicken, egg, cucumber, carrot, lettuce, noodles, and fried onions. Try to snag a table outside on their patio — atmosphere outdoors is five stars vs. indoors a little bit more cramped and only four stars. Service at the bar was very good.
M S — Google review
The 3% charge to offset the “high cost of living in paradise” feels inappropriate. Guests come to Aspen expecting premium prices, but not additional fees justified by the staff’s local living expenses. If costs are high, they should be reflected transparently in menu pricing, not added as an emotional surcharge. Food is good. Service average:
Andrey F — Google review
I had a really nice experience dining here! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everything I ordered tasted really good. The flavors were on point, and you can tell the food is made with care. The only thing I’d mention is that the steak was a bit on the chewy side, but still flavorful. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.
Jill R — Google review
Our server recommended the Pastrami and the Quesabirria tacos and they were flavorful and unique. The pastrami was spicy, tangy, and had great texture. The tacos had wonderful consomé and had a tender meat. Highly recommend this place!
Vance S — Google review
Food was good although menu is somewhat limited. Value by Aspen standards is above average. My one drawback would be the seating is tight. If you don't mind listening to conversations and having others listen to yours, you'll be fine here.

This has been the most wonderful experience during my time in Aspen. Thank you, Zach, for introducing me to such amazing dishes—every bite was a delightful surprise. The care and thoughtfulness shown by Element 40 truly touched me. Thank you for your kind wishes—I’ll definitely be back next time!

This was such a wonderful location to spend his birthday. Everyone and everything was just amazing! The duck and white asparagus were so delicious. For his birthday we were given a complimentary glass of champagne along! Just the sweetest time and we are looking forward to returning to Element 47. We stayed at Little Nell Residences so even the breakfast from Element 47 was spectacular! Fresh juices to live for! Only complaint I have… I can’t leave more than 5 stars this review! Thank you all for the experience. Great birthday dinner.

This was our favorite restaurant in Aspen! We had a server named Gerino and he was fantastic. But overall, the other people that helped service our table were great as well. We started with deviled eggs and olives, then shared the sliders for a lighter meal. Everything was outstanding. The only thing that would have enhanced the sliders would be to add cheese but other than that I would highly recommend this restaurant. We sat in the bar area for quicker service. Very nice environment.
Abc C — Google review
Ate here twice for breakfast on our trip in Aspen. First time we had a great waiter, he was super friendly and amazing, very attentive. The second time our waiter was terrible. Took forever to come get our drink orders and then took forever to get us our coffees! She forgot to bring out the complimentary muffins which is our favorite part of the meal as they rotate them everyday & they are always delicious. My dad asked for extra tortillas with his meal and didn’t get them til way after he was done eating. My parents asked for coffee refills and she barely gave them a refill, the cups were half empty. She disappeared at the end of our meal and we spent forever trying to flag someone down to get the check for us because our waiter never showed back up. Maybe she wasn’t feeling well or was having a bad day but the service was really bad. Love the food though, it’s my favorite place in Aspen to eat for breakfast. However I didn’t like the blueberry sauce that came with the pancakes it tasted like it had gone bad. Great orange juice, great bacon, eggs, potato cakes, & excellent muffins.

Out of all the places I've been to so far in Aspen, every single plate was phenomenal. The atmosphere was perfect! Our server was fantastic in recommendations. The bread rolls they serve before the meal are quite dangerous. They are addictive and delicious. I had the Grilled Gem Lettuce, perfectly smoky with refreshing flavors. The wagyu beef was one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was seared to perfection and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The smashed potatoes were great for a side for two people. Desserts were great as well. Literally everyone LOVED their meal-- duck, lobster salad.
Sarah — Google review
Excellent place for an anniversary dinner. We made reservations at Element 47 (or Silver if you know your periodic table ⚛️) after our pre-arranged reservations at Hai Si were nullified by the restaurant closing for good three days before our dinner. Element 47 exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make our anniversary special including starting toast of champagne, dessert chocolate mousse, and a chocolate truffle finale. Staff was engaging and committed to making our evening special. We even parted with dog treats from the kitchen for our pooch.
Cody M — Google review
Element 47 has a tremendous bar menu, good enough to return to. Highly recommend the wagyu burger sliders and tacos. Fries, nuts, bread and butter, and tortilla soup are also great. It is a Michelin recommended restaraunt and it is easy to see why.
Eddie B — Google review
Like many of the "5 Star" restaurants in this town, it seems that Element 47 has joined the competition to see how much they can charge, while providing as little as possible. My wife and I stayed at the Little Nell, and naturally all of the staff here were highly recommending Element 47. They love to tell you that element 47 is a "Michelin Recommended" restaurant, which actually just means that they do not have a Michelin star - however, their prices sure do make you think they should. To preface this review, I fully understand that this is a resort town, and a restaurant inside of an expensive hotel, so a slight increase in pricing is to be expected. I have no problem paying premium prices for premium offerings, but when they do not align, I take great offense. We started our evening with two drinks. A glass of wine from the standard menu, and an old fashioned. The wine was an 8oz pour of Evesham Wood Pinot Noir. This is a $25 bottle of wine, and Element 47 charges $30 per glass. The old fashioned was made with Angels Envy Bourbon, and they charged $36 for it. Ridiculous The appetizer we selected was the Fall Squash soup. The portion is not even enough to fill a soup ladle, and no better than any canned squash soup that you can buy at a grocery store. $30. Next up were our entrees. My wife selected the Ravioli Alla Carbonara. 4 tiny ravioli's at the bottom of a bowl, with a drizzle of sauce. Not enough food for a small child, let alone a grown woman. The dish was cold, the bacon was raw, and quite bland. $36. I chose the Antelope Loin. 3 tiny pieces of nearly raw, cold tenderloin that combined were not more than 4oz. This dish is served with what they call Ricotta Spaetzle, but much more closely resembled a handful of Corn Nuts from your local gas station snack bag. 3 tiny dots of cranberry puree, that wouldn't even fill a tablespoon. $65. We also shared a side of vegetables, the Beet Carpaccio. You expect a bowl or plate of beets, but instead are served a few paper thin shavings of beet, and a tablespoon of Creme Fraiche. All in, maybe $50 of Ingredients (being very generous with that number) and our bill with tip was $300. We left hungry and disappointed, and went to City Market afterwards to get some fruit and nuts. If you are hungry, avoid this restaurant at all costs. Regardless of the price, there is no value in what we were served, and the quality was mediocre at best. Fancy presentations and attentive service do not excuse providing a satisfying meal (especially at these prices). The owner and head chef should be ashamed of themselves.

Clark's Oyster Bar in Aspen is a seafood haven that offers a raw bar, draft beers, and a daily cocktail special. Executive chef Josh Hines takes pride in providing locals and visitors with high-quality, simply prepared seafood dishes, including the crispy snapper with grits that reflects his Southern roots. Despite being located far from the coast, Clark's manages to capture the essence of the ocean through its crudo plates and lobster rolls.
What a treat, we were lucky to be in Aspen during mud season and the place was like a ghost town for the exception of Clark's Oyster Bar which was almost full at 2:00 PM! The reason became evident when we saw the eclectic range of food available. If you love oysters from around the United States this is you place, the selection of raw oysters was one of the best we have come across. If you want a sandwich or soup numerous choices abound. A bit pricy but hey its Aspen, if you can get in you will not be dissapointed, full bar as well, recommended!!!
Brian S — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! The oysters were incredibly fresh. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-visit in Aspen if you’re into quality seafood and a laid-back vibe.
Anastasiia L — Google review
We came here for a post hike late lunch and it was exactly what we needed. The oyster selection was broad with plenty of east and west coast options. The portions were healthy for the clam chowder and burgers we ordered. The clam chowder was a good texture. The atmosphere was bustling without it being too noisy or crowded.
Nabila K — Google review
We loved everything about our dinner here- the service was great, the ceviche, oysters, crab Mac and cheese, cocktails, and clam chowder were excellent, but WHAT EVEN ARE THESE FRIES? How are you supposed to eat them? Why would anyone want so many? Please someday consider changing the “fries” to actual fries.
Lorrie F — Google review
Everything was perfect. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Very creative dishes…the spicy cauliflower was a surprise hit, and the lobster roll was spot on.
Flyan R — Google review
A very nice sea food restaurant. We ordered the beef tartar, which was incredibly tender and delicious. The octopus was well seasoned. The shrimp linguine was well cooked but it was a bit bland after tasting the octopus. Should probably have asked for a bit of more salt.
Niko Z — Google review
We’ve been to Clarks a few times and always enjoy it! Recommend: oysters, clam chowder, kale, scallops, Mac n cheese! We got the burger this time and I would pass on that, both the burger and fries were just okay. The staff and service is great!
Megan K — Google review

French Alpine Bistro - Crêperie du Village is a charming and stylish restaurant located in the heart of Aspen village. It offers a cozy patio for enjoying fondue and summer salads, along with an extensive wine list. The bistro is known for its authentic French onion soup, fondue, and European-style crepes, ranging from classic to elaborate options.
I do not have command of a sufficient number of superlatives to explain to you how wonderful this restaurant is! It was like finding an oasis of Paris on a street corner in Aspen. The food was fantastic, the drinks were perfect and the atmosphere was magical. This is our can’t miss option in Aspen.
Chad H — Google review
This restaurant is truly extraordinary. I consider myself an onion soup, connoisseur, and this onion soup was among the best I have ever had. The summer salad was a 8 1/2 out of 10 it was fresh, but had a little too much dressing. The dessert, a crème brûlée crêpe was also to die for I will eat here every time I come to Aspen. It’s truly a wonderful spot. The atmosphere is also very charming and the weight staff was amazing. I really can’t rate it any higher. It was over $100 without tip and no alcohol, but worth it IMHO.
Jonathan L — Google review
Let me start off the review with the food being quite good but definitely not worth the time. For example, when I ordered my meal of the gnocchi truffle (48$), the waiter then ask me if I wanted extra truffles on top. However I was unaware of the ludicrous amount they would rip me off with due to the prices not being mentioned on the menu. Those damn truffles cost more than my entire dish (50$). This place for me is a complete scam for anyone who values their money and dignity as the staff here feel like money-hungry vultures. Although I felt absolutely robbed, the presence and neoclassical design of restaurant was atmospheric and homely. But damn what a scam, this is to warn others not to come here. Greatly disappointed
Adam B — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. From the very beginning, the service provided by the waiter Campell left much to be desired: inattentive, uninterested, and unprofessional. As for the food, I ordered the cheese fondue and it was a huge letdown. While the flavor was acceptable, the preparation was terrible—the bottom was so thick and rubbery it felt like chewing gum, while the top was oily and watery, almost like melted butter mixed with water. This is far from what one expects from a proper fondue. Overall, both the service and the quality fell far below expectations. I will definitely not be returning or recommending this place.

Great staff, food was excellent! This Bistro has a cozy moody vibe. Our new #1 in Aspen. 😊

My good friends were in town and I am so glad we had the pleasure of experiencing French Alpine Bistro! Ana, our server was amazing and welcoming. The food was incredible and the Cheese Fondue was incredible. I have had the pleasure of going to 2 wine dinners thus far this year and not only is the food and wine exquisite but the pricing for the quality and portions is one of the best in town. I highly recommend this restaurant and they even allow private parties. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and intimate. Make your reservations early!

Great food. Thanks. Our waiters from Argentina gave us a great service. Everything was delicious.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the French Alpine Bistro. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Cozy French place located in basement cave that feels like you’re traveled to mountain chalet in Alps. High end feel but not stuffy or pretentious. We loved our mains - all on point Alpine dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, etc. server was super friendly. Highly recommend. One of our favorite dinners in Aspen.

J-Bar is a historic saloon located in the Hotel Jerome, standing for over 130 years at the corner of Main and Mill streets. It has been a popular spot through various eras, including the Prohibition period when it was a favored hangout. The bar's legendary 'Aspen Crud,' a boozy milkshake, remains on the menu today.
J-Bar in Aspen is a must-visit for anyone who loves a mix of history and great food. This iconic bar, once a favorite hangout of Hunter S. Thompson, retains its old-school charm while serving up one of the best burgers in town. The atmosphere is lively yet nostalgic, making it the perfect spot to soak in Aspen’s rich history with a perfectly crafted drink and a delicious, juicy burger. A true gem!

Be super careful to eat here. - We saw a mouse running inside the dining area. When we told the server, his response was: “Oh yeah? It’s close to winter.” - Service was careless. They messed up our order. - The food quality itself was ok A restaurant that dismisses a mouse like that is unsafe and unprofessional. Be careful!

J-Bar is such a gem in Aspen! The moment you walk in, you feel the historic charm mixed with a vibrant, welcoming energy. The drinks were creative and perfectly balanced, and the menu had a great mix of options. Everything we tried was excellent. The staff made the experience even better with their friendly and attentive service. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy amazing cocktails, and really take in the Aspen vibe.

Spent a 3day weekend in Aspen, mostly dining out every evening. Every review at places said pricey for what you get served. Including this place. Buffalo Burgers are usually expensive anyway... I can say as a fact that the size of the burger was large and thick, perfectly cooked! Juicy Tasted Wonderfully delicious!! I forget what my friend ordered but she did say it was the best thing she ate so far on the trip. We did go on a Sunday kinda late. When we walked past to the hiking trails it was packed all the times.

This is a beautiful old style little bar with amazing service and even better food and drinks. We stopped in on a hot afternoon in the summer and had a fantastic waiter who made perfect recommendations for some afternoon cocktails and served us an incredible blue corn bread skillet with popcorned butter. It's pricey, but definitely worth the indulgence. We will probably return for desserts later on!
Alecia M — Google review
Great service. Fellow behind the bar was great, but it was $38 for a burger and the burger wasn’t really that flavorful and had a lot of gristle in it. I really would not have minded the price if it had been tasty, but it was very mediocre and I was surprised about the quality of the beef. The side Caesar salad was also bland, and the extra dressing did not help. Everything looked nice but was simply not very Flavorful. Would recommend for the drinks and service, not the food.

We'll - it's true! What a great bar and food - fun and brilliant bartenders too! We were looking for "Aspen's Best Hamburger" - I'm sure there are other good ones, but ones been rated #1, and we agree! Beautifully served and delicious - get the fries too! We also had a tasty Caesar Salad snd Lsmb Meatballs w sauce, dates, and figs - yum! Our bartender, Ben was a total pro - made us a few "off the menu" creating drinks - raspberry rum and coffee? - sounds crazy - but was great and he's got sone super-powers for creative drinks. Great good - drinks - people - a d as always, elegant Cowboys and Cowgirls Jerome historic fun!

Ajax Tavern is a popular mountainside spot in Aspen that offers a mix of French and American cuisine, making it an ideal place to refuel after skiing or snowboarding at Aspen Mountain. The restaurant is known for its iconic truffle fries and Wagyu Double Cheeseburger, as well as its great people-watching opportunities. It's also a favorite among families due to its swanky kids menu featuring options like gruyere mac and cheese and salmon with green beans.
Fabulous lunch spot in Aspen! The double smashed Wagyu burgers and parmesan truffle fries are worth writing home about. Sitting on the patio was lovely! Service was prompt and warm. Located right at the base of the Silver Queen gondola which we were compelled to do after lunch. Great spot!!
Zoë R — Google review
It was just a very underwhelming meal. For starters when we arrived it took quite a while for someone to greet us and just give us water. We sat inside and the head bartender was either in a bad mood or just liked to throw bottles around. Every time he finished a bottle, he literally threw it in the container pretty aggressively. At first, we thought it was an accident but it kept occurring. It was annoying. Additionally, we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. There was a large group sitting at a table and quite frankly they made a mess. That's not the restaurant's fault but it stayed that way for the hour and a half that we were there, which was kind of gross. Food all over the table and floor. We had high expectations for this restaurant as our first meal was at element 47 and it was incredible there! Great service, great food so we thought that the Ajax would be the same, but more casual and it certainly was not. It was a three at best. Next time we stay at the Little Nell, we will not go back to Ajax Tavern. Very disappointing.

Nice atmosphere and crowd. Great wine list, salad for vegans okay. Truffle fries are a classic.

Nice location, right at the base of the gondola station. Indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is ok, some of the high tables are too high and the lighting is odd spotlights down onto faces. Service is great and very friendly. Food was tasty. Dishes are large so they are great for sharing. The wine list is extensive and impressive.

The octopus appetizer and fries were delicious. Skip the kale quinoa caesar. The morel dish and French onion soup were also hits.
Lynelle N — Google review
This is one of my favorite spots in Aspen. I would start by recommending the cauliflower appetizer. Additionally the cheeseburger is the best burger in the whole valley (or ever) with truffle fries which are incredible. This is the place to bring your family and friends when they come to visit, or to pop in for apres ski. Great view of the mountain, located right at the base of the gondola. The kids Mac n cheese is also banger. Go here.
Shianne Q — Google review
We had dinner, but first sat at the bar, starting with a martini that was excellent—though we had to share one, as the restaurant had run out of Belvedere. That wasn’t the real issue, however. We ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer, and it immediately tasted off. I chose not to eat it, but my partner did and unfortunately became very sick later that evening. It was clear the meat wasn’t fresh. On a positive note, the main course was excellent—we really enjoyed the burger. Still, it’s unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber to serve food that’s past its prime.
Francesca C — Google review
Food was good, service was good, location and patio are great. Lots of complaints that it’s over priced but was fairly reasonable and HUGE portions compared to most other restaurants in the area. The mussels were really good and was a huge huge portion, salads were fresh and delicious too.

The restaurant is famous for its sushi, sashimi, and innovative hot dishes prepared by the celebrated Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Diners can enjoy their meal in various settings, including an upstairs lounge, patio, and sushi bar.
The service made this place. Our waiter was smart, intuitive, caring, fun, and all these things while being on top of the details. Made me wish we had a waitress like this every evening out. The food was incredible. UNI all day, every day. Absolute must in Aspen. We loved everything about it.

I had an amazing dining experience at Matsuhisa. The Shrimp with Spicy Garlic Sauce was a nice appetizer, the Lamb Chops had a unique barbecue sauce and were cooked to my desired temperature (well done), and all of the sushi was great. My favorite item was the Black Cod, it was sensational. Service was top tier as expected. The ambience is typical of any fine dining establishment, but the interior design was underwhelming. An elevator and coat check are available for accessibility and convenience. Overall 9.5/10!

1st time dining here, asked our server, Marisa R, to please pick her favorites for our entire meal. The result, best sushi we have ever had in our lives (and my wife and I are both sushi connoisseurs)!! Here’s your road map to perfection: (1) Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno (2) Tuna Tataki with Garlic and Tozas (3) Truffle Sashimi (4) Shiitake Salad (5) King Crab Amazu Pomzu (6) Sashimi: Toro - bluefin belly & Smoked Salmon (7) Sushi Rolls: Hanachi & Dragon (8) Shaved Ice 🍧 pic below Highly highly recommend that when you are in or around Aspen you drop in! Bon appétit my friends!

It seems almost superfluous to review Matsuhisa Aspen, which to my mind is the flagship restaurant of the town. Food, drink, and service are consistently excellent over the years—best of any of the Nobu / Matsuhisa locations I have experienced. Lead sommelier, Dave, recommends and pours Bottled Poetry with world-class style.

We had a reservation for 9:00 p.m. and, upon realizing our Uber was delayed, we courteously called ahead. The staff assured us that our table would be held without issue. However, upon arrival, we were met by the manager, Olivia, who brazenly contradicted this assurance, falsely claiming our reservation had been canceled because the kitchen was closed. This assertion was patently untrue, as both the posted hours and their own website clearly state service continues until 9:30 p.m. The disingenuous handling of the situation, compounded by the uniformly dismissive and hostile demeanor of the staff, demonstrated an astonishing lack of professionalism and integrity. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment, and will certainly make a point to avoid it in the future.

We enjoyed the outdoor seating area for dinner. Casual food and dining. The Cubano sandwich and shrimp tacos were really good. Great selection of beer and beverages. Service was mostly good but could tell our waitress was a little aggitated. I'm sure there was a reason.

They offer an amazing menu and the food is delicious. The staff seems to be easily distracted when the manager is not standing over them though. The service is extremely slow so be prepared to wait. On our last visit we waited well over an hour for food to come; they didn't begin preparing it until we told them we were leaving, as we were no longer hungry. Good food if you're there for the afternoon and have no other plans!!
Billy L — Google review
Good beer selection and reasonable price with expected premium (would probably give 4 stars for that). Had a burger (18$) plus fries (8$) which were absolutely not worth it! The (expected) premium has absolutely nothing to do with quality. Go to McDonald's instead!
Jens C — Google review
Great environment. Seating is downstairs in a "man cave " type of setting. Plenty of good beer on tap, and craft foods.

Excellent burger and plenty of beer to choose from. The place was packed and quite noisy, but the food was worth it!
Marcus O — Google review
My daughter and I ate at the outdoor seating area, and I don't know if the menu would be different inside, but there wasn't a lot to choose from. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers, partly because they were half price for happy hour. They were very tasty and filled us up, but they would have been far too expensive at full price. We were near the server station and heard the chef come out to describe the day's specials to the servers, which was interesting. It was obvious that a lot of thought and care went into the preparation of the specials, and that management wanted the servers to have good information to share with the guests. It felt very professional.

Big Wrap is a cash-only eatery located in Aspen, offering a variety of wraps, salads, tacos, and smoothies. It's known for its great variety of vegetarian and vegan food that is affordable, filling, and bursting with flavor. The extensive menu caters to all taste buds and includes a large array of tasty fresh plant-based ingredients.
As a longtime Aspen local, The Big Wrap has been a go-to spot for years—and for good reason. It’s one of the rare places in town where you can count on fresh, healthy food at a reasonable price without sacrificing flavor or speed. The staff has always been friendly, upbeat, and welcoming, even during the busiest lunch rushes. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between ski runs or picking up a post-hike recharge, they keep the vibe casual and the service efficient. Favorites like the Hail Caesar and To Thai For never miss, but everything on the menu is solid. The ingredients are consistently fresh, and the portion sizes hit that sweet spot—satisfying without being over-the-top. In a town where dining can feel overpriced or overhyped, The Big Wrap is the real deal. Affordable, consistent, and local-loved. Still one of the best lunch spots in Aspen.

This place gives good food for the reasonable price. The place is small and noisy for dine in. Best is Togo. It has crowd. I felt the service or staff was not friendly. My feeling was they were busy. Also when I asked for a napkin, they took two and from that they picked one and gave. About food: The spinach wrap was good for vegan options Chow - had good taste, neutral and original to the flavour Peach on beach - good mix. But I felt peach was dominated by the other berry

Probably the most affordable food in Aspen at $12-15 per person that’s not City Market grab and go. I recommend calling in your order 30-45 minutes ahead of time during peak hours and on weekends otherwise you’ll be standing in line for at least that long. Awesome wraps, good salads and tasty smoothies. I always get the chow baby, but wrapzilla is also good. Surprisingly decent chips and guacamole here as well!

I had the To Thai For with chicken wrap and although it seems to be a popular order there was two creamy for my taste. The ingredients seem clean but the overall combination was not for my pallet. Their peach smoothie was nice and refreshing. Service was efficient and pleasant. The place is small and only has very tight indoor counter seating.

A must-visit for an amazing gourmet wrap experience!! A quaint little underground eatery where you can eat your heart out for a good value! We had the Pesto Wrapture with tofu instead of chicken and let me tell you — it’s sooo delicious! I honestly wasn’t expecting much, and since we weren’t too hungry, we only bought one. Excellent burger and fries! Some may call it fast food but it definitely tasted fresh. Got the Chicano burger- deliciously spicy and hearty. Truffle fries were ok, felt like the Parmesan was lacking a little. Overall, a great experience. Love the idea of a mini golf connected to this- such a family friendly idea

Overpriced but I guess that’s the theme of aspen itself . Fries were too salty. Cold and hard falafels. Grilled cheese was too stiff. Tater torts are good. You will be spending a minimum of $20 per person if you need a meal. Meal sizes are small. Burgers sizes here would be what you get in a toddler’s menu in Texas. Over priced (did I say that) Not sure if aspen overall is overrated or is it just this place. People at the front desk were good though- no complaints
D W — Google review
Showed up at 10:30 AM on a sunny Saturday in July to play mini golf—silly us for thinking a kid-friendly spot in Aspen might open before 11. CP Burger, the restaurant that runs the mini golf course out front (and turns it into an ice-skating rink in winter), apparently follows a strict no-fun-before-11 policy. Staff wouldn’t let us start even 10 minutes early. One was busy with her phone, the other enjoying breakfast. Must be a very strict yogurt-eating schedule. Once we finally got in ($12 per person, no kid rate), the course was falling apart—warped wood, loose boards, water damage. But hey, at least they’re consistent: poor service and poor maintenance. Definitely a highlight of our trip—if you enjoy paying to be treated like an inconvenience.

I just wanna say this place has shitty customer service, employers are rude and have a lot of attitude. Mind you it’s my first time there thought it would be better. I visited CP Burger last week along with a couple of my friends. The place is located diagonally opposite Ruby Park Transit Center. The place has decent seating capacity and ambience. We ordered their Grilled Chicken Burgers along with CP Fries. Due to lunch time, the entire place was completely occupied, however we were lucky we got the seats. The service staff delivered our order in a blink. We were happy with their services. Coming to the taste section, the burger was awesome in taste however the CP Fries has scope to improve. Overall we had a great time here and would love to go back and try out other varieties of burgers. Cheers!

One of the best experiences, if not the best in Aspen. From the ambiance, service and food everything was 5-star quality. Gavino was sweet and attentive. Jill was hospitable and impressive. If you’re reading a bad review ignore it! This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, and I come from Manhattan. Amazing service and each dish just got better and better. Outstanding drinks as well. Very pricey as we had to order from a prefixed menu which out bill came to $450 for two after drinks and tip, but worth every penny honestly. Almost went back again the next night! If it wasn’t for the prefixed we would have! Hoping next time we can order freely!

There are no questions for the kitchen, delicious. The staff is polite. I was here in the evening, almost all the tables were occupied. It is necessary to pre-reserve the table. The only thing I didn't like was very noisy here. A lot of people and everyone tries to shout down the other. Background music is barely audible. I prefer places with a more relaxed atmosphere where you can talk quietly, and not try to explain something to the interlocutor with a cry.

Wow, wow, wow! We read about Mawa's and dropped in for lunch last Wednesday. Our food was amazing and the roasted tomato soup and jerk chicken were sublime! We loved Mawa's so much, we came back two days later for dinner. The gumbo tasted like heaven! And three cheers for the bartender who made such an amazing orange cocktail, we had two! This is by far the best restaurant in Aspen. It might not be in the center of town, but it is so worth the small drive to get to it. Amazing! There was no detail left undone. The service was incredible for a busy Sunday morning, coffee hot, fresh juices, and everything was made from scratch. This is a very unassuming place, especially for a Michelin rated restaurant. I went for brunch and got the shakshuka and the lavender matcha latte. Both were FANTASTIC and I've had these items several times from other restaurants. The service was quick and attentive, the drink and food came out quickly, and everything was at a perfect temperature. The best part? Brunch here is very reasonably priced for the area, the quality, and the prestige. It's certainly not cheap, but it is a great value if you appreciate good food.

Mawa's Kitchen is a delightful brunch spot that excels in both flavor and variety. We tried the Denver omelette and French toast, both of which were exceptional. The omelette was hearty, packed with fresh ingredients, and the French toast was perfectly fluffy and decadent. I also appreciated the vegan options, particularly the tofu scramble, which was a satisfying alternative that didn’t skimp on taste. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax over a leisurely meal. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the portion sizes are generous, ensuring you leave feeling full and satisfied. Overall, Mawa's Kitchen is a must-visit for brunch lovers looking for quality dishes and inclusive options.

Highlands Alehouse is a cozy European-style cabin located on Aspen Highlands Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Maroon Bells. The alehouse provides an elegant menu featuring caviar, fondue, prix fixe lunch selections, and a variety of cocktails, wine, and beer. Established in 1958, it has been a popular local spot to unwind after a day of skiing.
This was a great place to grab a bite to eat after a morning of hiking at the Maroon Bells Park in the Fall. The Philly steak sandwich was absolutely fantastic! We also had the Angus burger which was also excellent, the fries were crispy and our side salad was fresh. I definitely give this place five stars.

Great place. Here for summer and staying up Marion Creek Dr. We did not want to get in the summer traffic into town. The chicken panini and pizza was great. Ice cold beer at the bottom of the lifts during summer was great. C U next time.
A F — Google review
Pricing is terrible. $40 per person for okay food, okay fries and terrible chips and salsa. Philly was soggy and bland. Angus burger was under cooked and lacked flavor. Chicken tenders were nothing special. Fries were okay not great. Chips.and salsa were the worse. Stale hard chips and salsa that was disappointing. Service is you order at the bar. The beer was good. Drink the beer, forget the food.

Best burger in Aspen by far. The place is authentic, relaxed and has a beautiful setting. The portion sizes are generous. There is value when comparing to restaurants in downtown Aspen. Very kid-friendly!
Amalia — Google review
Hung here mostly during ski season. Was a great vibe then. The summer did not disappoint either. Sundays, in the summer, they also have a live band at 4pm. Great vibe. Music, food, drinks, dogs, kids and people from everywhere! Great time, great food! Mozzarella Sticks app. Highlands Philly, amazing fresh ribeye, and fried Oreos and ice cream for dessert! Desert picture enclosed. Cheers!

We stopped at the Higlands Alehouse on our way through Aspen. The location is at the base of a chair lift, and there were great views of the mountains. However, it was a very warm day, and we found the restaurant stuffy and uncomfortable. The bartender was very friendly, and overall service was top-notch. There were a dozen or so CO craft beers on tap. The food was good, although it was served on small, mini baking sheets and accompanied by paper plates. The homemade chips/salsa/guac was excellent ($13). The chicken panini ($22) was ok, sloppy with sauce, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. Loved that we could sub out fries for our choice of salad ($2). Biggest gripe was that parking was $14 for just over an hour. There was also a "Staff Cost of Living" charge added to our bill. It's a 3% charge, and I'm OK with this, but just wanted to mention this so you're not surprised. Before tip, our bill was $58 for the chips, sandwich and two beers. About what I'd expect at a resort. I'm sure this place would be a must stop if It were ski season, right in the heart of the action. Enjoy!

Located at the base of Aspen Highlands, right in front of the main lifts, Highlands Alehouse is our favorite spot to grab food and drinks for lunch or after a day of skiing. The food is great, the pub is nice inside, and the service at the bar is excellent. You can't get any more convenient than this place if you're visiting the Highlands.
A R — Google review
We ate here after going to Maroon Bells from the shuttle service in the building across the pavilion. First off, this place is expensive. Be prepared to spend 40-60$ for 2 people for lunch. The best thing was the fried mozzarella. I got the barbacoa tacos, and they were awful. Not sure if it was just a slow day but the meat was super dry and tough. Philly was okay, nothing crazy. Another person we were with got the Fajita bowl, which is misleading because it's a salad. Fajitas are suppose to have meat. White rice and bell peppers. They then had to order the meat separately after realizing it was an $18 salad. When they brought the meat to us they pretty much threw it down, and it was 4 slices of dry unseasoned chicken... Great views though. We tried to talk to a manager and I guess there wasn't one.

PARC Aspen, which opened its doors in late 2022, has quickly become a beloved destination for those seeking an exceptional dining experience. Tucked away in a charming subterranean location on Hyman Avenue, this upscale restaurant is the vision of local owners Maryanne and Harley Sefton, who aimed to enhance Aspen's culinary scene with locally operated establishments. The ambiance is perfect for special occasions or intimate dinners, featuring elegant white tablecloths and candlelit settings that create a romantic atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant three times during my stay in Aspen, and each experience was just as amazing as the last! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and genuine hospitality that the owners, Maryanne & Harley provide. They're so involved in every aspect of the restaurant, and it really shows in the atmosphere—there’s a personal touch that makes you feel like you’re a part of their community. The interior is beautifully furnished with a classy yet cozy vibe. The elegant touches create a welcoming environment, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. It’s the kind of place you can feel comfortable in no matter the occasion, whether it’s a casual night out or a special celebration. I was also moved by their thoughtful initiative to support Los Angeles in dealing with the aftermath of the fires. They’ve put out cards with QR codes that make it easy for guests to contribute to the relief efforts, which shows not only their care for their customers but for the community as a whole. As for the food—WOW! Everything is delicious, but here are 2 of my favorites. The Mushrooms & Polenta were absolutely divine. The flavors were so rich and comforting, with a perfect balance of earthy and savory. And the layered fries? Genius. Thin slices of seasoned potatoes pressed into a French fry shape, creating an entirely new take on a classic side. It was such a creative twist, and they were perfectly crispy and flavorful. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted with bold, balanced flavors that showcase the chef’s talent and passion. It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into everything they do, from the food to the service to the way they engage with their guests. I can’t recommend this place enough—whether you're in the mood for something comforting or want to try something new and exciting, this spot is not to be missed!

NY Strip was fantastic, easily the best steak i've had in Aspen, highly recommend. Baby lettuce salad was perfect. Great service and ambience. Loved it.

PARC Aspen was an amazing experience, exactly what dining should be - great ambiance, attentive and knowledgeable service, and food that tastes amazing - clearly made and curated by people who have a passion for food. My dinner at PARC Aspen was the non-skiing highlight of my time in Aspen, it’s a meal I’ll continue to think back to - it was really that good! Reservation - definitely need to secure one in advance. There were a few quirks with our party, and Jessica was soo kind and accommodating throughout, she set the tone for PARC in such a skilled way. Ambiance - upscale, coat check, comfortable seating, beautifully set table and there were tasteful Valentine’s Day decorations Service - Kelci our server was a master, he clearly knew the menu and provided thoughtful recommendations. He was also a wealth of knowledge on all things Aspen. John also worked our table, keeping our waters full and place settings perfect. The som was fantastic, and took the time to ask questions. Food - loved every dish, everything a 10. The pasta feature was rich. Baby lettuces salad (the kitchen was able to split it to two plates) was likely the best salad I’ve ever had. For my main I had the Ribeye. I’m still thinking about every bite, so tender, perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor! The carrots were a perfect side dish. The desserts were rich and beautifully prepared, I so enjoyed the crème brûlée. All in all - I 100% recommend PARC Aspen. Go and enjoy, I want to go back!

I ordered the Rib-eye Wagyu and the Elk Carpaccio, both were absolutely perfect. Cooked and seasoned just right. Also had the seasonal soup, which was delicious Great quality and amazing flavor. Highly recommend.

PARC has really hit their stride in Aspen. This is one of the cleanest restaurants, most efficient and friendly service and Delicious creations. The result of their efforts, the food, is exceptional. Everything we ordered was top-notch. They have definitely claimed as position of top three dining experiences in Aspen in 2025. Well done 👋🏼

Absolutely brilliant! The five of us chose the tasting menu and spectacular feel like it falls short on description. The chef’s creativity and talent were impressive and applauded by each and every one of us. Thank you for the fabulous service and dining experience.

Local owner business. lovely place. Love the menu as well. Love the decoration with flower and stuff on the table and chairs. Our server is great “Iva” we enjoy our meal here. The dessert was a bomb. You should try the donut. very recommended

Our amazing evening started as soon as we walked in. We were there to celebrate my birthday, and upon giving my name to the hosts, I heard, “Happy Birthday!” The lovely young lady we gave our coats to echoed the sentiment. Our wonderful, friendly and professional server, Iva, repeated the same thing. I have celebrated my birthday in numerous restaurants over the years, but I’ve never experienced this level of care for the customer. One of the owners also came by to wish me a happy birthday, and I even received a hand written card and the dessert was comped! The food was delicious and the menu was creative. We gobbled up the bread, enjoyed the rabbit schnitzel, and loved the Colorado bass, and apple pie bread pudding. We have never felt so well taken care of at a restaurant. We hope to go back to Aspen next winter, and will make it a point to go back to Parc Aspen again! Kudos to the owners and diligent, hardworking staff!

Mexican restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque mountains, Las Montanas is a culinary gem that brings a delightful Tex-Mex experience to your post-ski adventures. This vibrant eatery, brought to life by the creative minds behind Clarks Oyster Bar from Austin, offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. Indulge in mouthwatering dishes like sizzling steak arrachera and achiote chicken fajitas served with warm tortillas and rich queso fundido.
Hello, Mexican here 👋, This place is fantastic! I had the chilaquiles (added chicken), my wife had the chicken enchiladas with whole beans. Charles was an amazing waiter with an amazing attitude! They have a great selection of tequila and the bartenders are very friendly! We will definitely be back!
Victor A — Google review
The restaurant itself is nice and location is great since it’s in downtown Aspen. However, my order was wrong. It was our first time coming to this restaurant and we sat at the bar. Prices are a bit pricey, portions of the food are smaller for what you pay for. We initially ordered a beef fajita enchilada ($40) and received a tiny enchilada lol. When we received the bill, out bartender rang this up as a single enchilada ($11) instead of the entree. It wasn’t a big deal but wish there was more attention to detail… our bartender wasn’t attentive. We ended up going to another restaurant afterwards.
Lina C — Google review
Probably my favorite restaurant in aspen. It leans more casual than others, you can get seating when others have a 1hr+ wait. The fajitas are top notch although expensive — our favorite was the steak one that has pineapple marinade. Also, the lobster quesadilla was world class

Saw the rooftop patio and had to try! Lilo was such an amazing server and gave us recommendations on drinks and food. Definitely recommend!!

It was a great place for a Friday night family dinner. The staff was helpful, drinks fun and food delicious.

We ate lunch on the 4th of July at Las Montanas in Downtown Aspen and had a fabulous time. We showed up a little late to the reservation, but the front of the house was great at still accommodating us. The Mexican food here was spectacular. We all loved our meals, including the ice cream at the end. Needless to say, we will definitely be back. The whole experience was outstanding.
A R — Google review
Las Montanas offers excellent food, with the tacos being particularly amazing. The queso was delicious as well. However, the service could use some improvement, as our cocktails took a while to arrive and ended up coming after our food was served. Despite this, the overall dining experience was enjoyable, thanks to the flavorful dishes. Highly recommend Las Montanas for the fantastic food.
The B — Google review
Let me start off by saying this is my first google review ever but this place blew me away! One of my best restaurant experience I have had in awhile. We were immediately greeted by such a friendly staff. We sat on the rooftop deck with beautiful views of the mountains. Our server Charlie was amazing. His voice was so calming and made the experience even better. The prices were average for the area and more reasonable than most restaurants near by. The margarita was delicious and can tell a lot of love went into making it. We shared the sizzling fajitas and it was so much food. Tortillas, chips, salsa, sides are all unlimited. So worth the money! The food was stellar. The ambiance was just a cherry on top to a great experience. If you are in Aspen looking for a nice restaurant, this is the restaurant to go to!!
