Ajax Tavern is a popular mountainside spot in Aspen that offers a mix of French and American cuisine, making it an ideal place to refuel after skiing or snowboarding at Aspen Mountain. The restaurant is known for its iconic truffle fries and Wagyu Double Cheeseburger, as well as its great people-watching opportunities. It's also a favorite among families due to its swanky kids menu featuring options like gruyere mac and cheese and salmon with green beans.
Fabulous lunch spot in Aspen! The double smashed Wagyu burgers and parmesan truffle fries are worth writing home about. Sitting on the patio was lovely! Service was prompt and warm. Located right at the base of the Silver Queen gondola which we were compelled to do after lunch. Great spot!!
Zoë R — Google review
It was just a very underwhelming meal. For starters when we arrived it took quite a while for someone to greet us and just give us water. We sat inside and the head bartender was either in a bad mood or just liked to throw bottles around. Every time he finished a bottle, he literally threw it in the container pretty aggressively. At first, we thought it was an accident but it kept occurring. It was annoying. Additionally, we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness. There was a large group sitting at a table and quite frankly they made a mess. That's not the restaurant's fault but it stayed that way for the hour and a half that we were there, which was kind of gross. Food all over the table and floor. We had high expectations for this restaurant as our first meal was at element 47 and it was incredible there! Great service, great food so we thought that the Ajax would be the same, but more casual and it certainly was not. It was a three at best. Next time we stay at the Little Nell, we will not go back to Ajax Tavern. Very disappointing.
Gigi B — Google review
Nice atmosphere and crowd. Great wine list, salad for vegans okay. Truffle fries are a classic.
Ben B — Google review
Nice location, right at the base of the gondola station. Indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is ok, some of the high tables are too high and the lighting is odd spotlights down onto faces. Service is great and very friendly. Food was tasty. Dishes are large so they are great for sharing. The wine list is extensive and impressive.
Barbara G — Google review
The octopus appetizer and fries were delicious. Skip the kale quinoa caesar. The morel dish and French onion soup were also hits.
Lynelle N — Google review
This is one of my favorite spots in Aspen. I would start by recommending the cauliflower appetizer. Additionally the cheeseburger is the best burger in the whole valley (or ever) with truffle fries which are incredible. This is the place to bring your family and friends when they come to visit, or to pop in for apres ski. Great view of the mountain, located right at the base of the gondola. The kids Mac n cheese is also banger. Go here.
Shianne Q — Google review
We had dinner, but first sat at the bar, starting with a martini that was excellent—though we had to share one, as the restaurant had run out of Belvedere. That wasn’t the real issue, however. We ordered the beef carpaccio as an appetizer, and it immediately tasted off. I chose not to eat it, but my partner did and unfortunately became very sick later that evening. It was clear the meat wasn’t fresh. On a positive note, the main course was excellent—we really enjoyed the burger. Still, it’s unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber to serve food that’s past its prime.
Francesca C — Google review
Food was good, service was good, location and patio are great. Lots of complaints that it’s over priced but was fairly reasonable and HUGE portions compared to most other restaurants in the area. The mussels were really good and was a huge huge portion, salads were fresh and delicious too.

Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar is a hidden gem located beneath a restaurant, offering an intimate and rustic-chic ambiance. The bar specializes in high-quality craft cocktails and serves farmhouse-style shareable plates. In addition to an impressive selection of American, Japanese, and Scotch whiskies, Hooch also offers Irish and Canadian options.
The service was Fantastic by both of the Mixologists. They were friendly, down to earth, super cool and chill, good conversation, and EXCELLENT at what they do. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the very best craft cocktail bar in all of Aspen. The atmosphere of this craft cocktail bar is what Katherine and I have been conceptualizing for years! We are from Chicagoland and had been staying in Severance, CO with family; and we decided to take a nearly 4 Hour Drive to Aspen. Hooch was one of the very best parts of our road trip!
James C — Google review
Absolutely fabulous staff!! Atmosphere is chill and the drinks are incredible. Highly recommend a whisky sour or the Wolf on Wall Street
Julian B — Google review
My boy Otto was very helpful in creating a custom cocktail for me. I was torn between a margarita and a whiskey sour…he is truly incredible, because he somehow blended both together…using whiskey as the base and mixing a sweet and sour mix with a hint of basil to create an unbelievable beverage. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Give Otto a raise! He is awesome.
Andrew M — Google review
Perfect combination of chill yet boujee. I’m 23 and the atmosphere is just great, sick music, chill bartenders, and a vast array of incredible craft cocktails. If your looking for a place to bring a group of friends or your lady friend your in the right spot. I’ll be back #vibes
Johnny H — Google review
Stopped by here last night with my wife for an after dinner drink and the place was very cute. We sat out on the porch and they had some extra blankets if it got too cold. Overall, the service was solid and the drinks were great too. I am always up for an old fashioned and this was certainly one of the best I had in Aspen. Wish we came here for dinner too because the menu looked amazing! I recommend to anyone in the area.
Jayson T — Google review
Vibes and cocktails were great, but they overcharged us. They charged extra on top of the total amount we signed off on, which already included tip. The extra was not the same as our tip amount, but was close - so feels like it wasn't an honest mistake. Recommend taking a photo of your receipts in case it needs to be used with your credit card company. The bar itself has great vibes - dark and romantic with hip hop music. The cocktails were all tasty. Our group had a great time until afterwards with the charges.
Emily C — Google review
Hooch is such a cool underground speakeasy bar. It is really dark in there, but once your eyes get adjusted it’s not too bad. The music, drinks, and overall vibe is a must-have experience when visiting Aspen.
Yuri V — Google review
Really fun staff... we got here early and sat at the bar, and chatted to the two guys working. They were inventing a cocktail and involved us in the process - great fun and great people. Cocktails are excellent, and the bar has a great look and vibe. Definitely worth checking out!

J-Bar is a historic saloon located in the Hotel Jerome, standing for over 130 years at the corner of Main and Mill streets. It has been a popular spot through various eras, including the Prohibition period when it was a favored hangout. The bar's legendary 'Aspen Crud,' a boozy milkshake, remains on the menu today.
J-Bar in Aspen is a must-visit for anyone who loves a mix of history and great food. This iconic bar, once a favorite hangout of Hunter S. Thompson, retains its old-school charm while serving up one of the best burgers in town. The atmosphere is lively yet nostalgic, making it the perfect spot to soak in Aspen’s rich history with a perfectly crafted drink and a delicious, juicy burger. A true gem!

Be super careful to eat here. - We saw a mouse running inside the dining area. When we told the server, his response was: “Oh yeah? It’s close to winter.” - Service was careless. They messed up our order. - The food quality itself was ok A restaurant that dismisses a mouse like that is unsafe and unprofessional. Be careful!

Service was great. Drinks weee awesome. Loved the western historic decor.

J-Bar is such a gem in Aspen! The moment you walk in, you feel the historic charm mixed with a vibrant, welcoming energy. The drinks were creative and perfectly balanced, and the menu had a great mix of options. Everything we tried was excellent. The staff made the experience even better with their friendly and attentive service. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy amazing cocktails, and really take in the Aspen vibe.

Spent a 3day weekend in Aspen, mostly dining out every evening. Every review at places said pricey for what you get served. Including this place. Buffalo Burgers are usually expensive anyway... I can say as a fact that the size of the burger was large and thick, perfectly cooked! Juicy Tasted Wonderfully delicious!! I forget what my friend ordered but she did say it was the best thing she ate so far on the trip. We did go on a Sunday kinda late. When we walked past to the hiking trails it was packed all the times.
Don G — Google review
This is a beautiful old style little bar with amazing service and even better food and drinks. We stopped in on a hot afternoon in the summer and had a fantastic waiter who made perfect recommendations for some afternoon cocktails and served us an incredible blue corn bread skillet with popcorned butter. It's pricey, but definitely worth the indulgence. We will probably return for desserts later on!
Alecia M — Google review
Great service. Fellow behind the bar was great, but it was $38 for a burger and the burger wasn’t really that flavorful and had a lot of gristle in it. I really would not have minded the price if it had been tasty, but it was very mediocre and I was surprised about the quality of the beef. The side Caesar salad was also bland, and the extra dressing did not help. Everything looked nice but was simply not very Flavorful. Would recommend for the drinks and service, not the food.
Daniel H — Google review
We'll - it's true! What a great bar and food - fun and brilliant bartenders too! We were looking for "Aspen's Best Hamburger" - I'm sure there are other good ones, but ones been rated #1, and we agree! Beautifully served and delicious - get the fries too! We also had a tasty Caesar Salad snd Lsmb Meatballs w sauce, dates, and figs - yum! Our bartender, Ben was a total pro - made us a few "off the menu" creating drinks - raspberry rum and coffee? - sounds crazy - but was great and he's got sone super-powers for creative drinks. Great good - drinks - people - a d as always, elegant Cowboys and Cowgirls Jerome historic fun!

This has been the most wonderful experience during my time in Aspen. Thank you, Zach, for introducing me to such amazing dishes—every bite was a delightful surprise. The care and thoughtfulness shown by Element 40 truly touched me. Thank you for your kind wishes—I’ll definitely be back next time!

This was such a wonderful location to spend his birthday. Everyone and everything was just amazing! The duck and white asparagus were so delicious. For his birthday we were given a complimentary glass of champagne along! Just the sweetest time and we are looking forward to returning to Element 47. We stayed at Little Nell Residences so even the breakfast from Element 47 was spectacular! Fresh juices to live for! Only complaint I have… I can’t leave more than 5 stars this review! Thank you all for the experience. Great birthday dinner.
Jackie M — Google review
This was our favorite restaurant in Aspen! We had a server named Gerino and he was fantastic. But overall, the other people that helped service our table were great as well. We started with deviled eggs and olives, then shared the sliders for a lighter meal. Everything was outstanding. The only thing that would have enhanced the sliders would be to add cheese but other than that I would highly recommend this restaurant. We sat in the bar area for quicker service. Very nice environment.
Abc C — Google review
Ate here twice for breakfast on our trip in Aspen. First time we had a great waiter, he was super friendly and amazing, very attentive. The second time our waiter was terrible. Took forever to come get our drink orders and then took forever to get us our coffees! She forgot to bring out the complimentary muffins which is our favorite part of the meal as they rotate them everyday & they are always delicious. My dad asked for extra tortillas with his meal and didn’t get them til way after he was done eating. My parents asked for coffee refills and she barely gave them a refill, the cups were half empty. She disappeared at the end of our meal and we spent forever trying to flag someone down to get the check for us because our waiter never showed back up. Maybe she wasn’t feeling well or was having a bad day but the service was really bad. Love the food though, it’s my favorite place in Aspen to eat for breakfast. However I didn’t like the blueberry sauce that came with the pancakes it tasted like it had gone bad. Great orange juice, great bacon, eggs, potato cakes, & excellent muffins.
Ashley D — Google review
Out of all the places I've been to so far in Aspen, every single plate was phenomenal. The atmosphere was perfect! Our server was fantastic in recommendations. The bread rolls they serve before the meal are quite dangerous. They are addictive and delicious. I had the Grilled Gem Lettuce, perfectly smoky with refreshing flavors. The wagyu beef was one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was seared to perfection and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The smashed potatoes were great for a side for two people. Desserts were great as well. Literally everyone LOVED their meal-- duck, lobster salad.
Sarah — Google review
Excellent place for an anniversary dinner. We made reservations at Element 47 (or Silver if you know your periodic table ⚛️) after our pre-arranged reservations at Hai Si were nullified by the restaurant closing for good three days before our dinner. Element 47 exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make our anniversary special including starting toast of champagne, dessert chocolate mousse, and a chocolate truffle finale. Staff was engaging and committed to making our evening special. We even parted with dog treats from the kitchen for our pooch.
Cody M — Google review
Element 47 has a tremendous bar menu, good enough to return to. Highly recommend the wagyu burger sliders and tacos. Fries, nuts, bread and butter, and tortilla soup are also great. It is a Michelin recommended restaraunt and it is easy to see why.
Eddie B — Google review
Like many of the "5 Star" restaurants in this town, it seems that Element 47 has joined the competition to see how much they can charge, while providing as little as possible. My wife and I stayed at the Little Nell, and naturally all of the staff here were highly recommending Element 47. They love to tell you that element 47 is a "Michelin Recommended" restaurant, which actually just means that they do not have a Michelin star - however, their prices sure do make you think they should. To preface this review, I fully understand that this is a resort town, and a restaurant inside of an expensive hotel, so a slight increase in pricing is to be expected. I have no problem paying premium prices for premium offerings, but when they do not align, I take great offense. We started our evening with two drinks. A glass of wine from the standard menu, and an old fashioned. The wine was an 8oz pour of Evesham Wood Pinot Noir. This is a $25 bottle of wine, and Element 47 charges $30 per glass. The old fashioned was made with Angels Envy Bourbon, and they charged $36 for it. Ridiculous The appetizer we selected was the Fall Squash soup. The portion is not even enough to fill a soup ladle, and no better than any canned squash soup that you can buy at a grocery store. $30. Next up were our entrees. My wife selected the Ravioli Alla Carbonara. 4 tiny ravioli's at the bottom of a bowl, with a drizzle of sauce. Not enough food for a small child, let alone a grown woman. The dish was cold, the bacon was raw, and quite bland. $36. I chose the Antelope Loin. 3 tiny pieces of nearly raw, cold tenderloin that combined were not more than 4oz. This dish is served with what they call Ricotta Spaetzle, but much more closely resembled a handful of Corn Nuts from your local gas station snack bag. 3 tiny dots of cranberry puree, that wouldn't even fill a tablespoon. $65. We also shared a side of vegetables, the Beet Carpaccio. You expect a bowl or plate of beets, but instead are served a few paper thin shavings of beet, and a tablespoon of Creme Fraiche. All in, maybe $50 of Ingredients (being very generous with that number) and our bill with tip was $300. We left hungry and disappointed, and went to City Market afterwards to get some fruit and nuts. If you are hungry, avoid this restaurant at all costs. Regardless of the price, there is no value in what we were served, and the quality was mediocre at best. Fancy presentations and attentive service do not excuse providing a satisfying meal (especially at these prices). The owner and head chef should be ashamed of themselves.

Zane's Tavern Aspen is an unpretentious watering hole that offers a menu filled with classic bar food like chili, wings, burgers, and tacos. It's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike who are looking for comfort food at reasonable prices. The tavern has plenty of indoor seating as well as a spacious outdoor patio, making it an ideal place to gather with friends after outdoor activities or to catch a game.
Great service, owners teen son helps out and seems like a solid young man, and the Philly was legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s not good “for Aspen” it’s just amazing overall. The fries were really good too. I want to try other menu items but the Philly is so good (I add jalapeños) it’s hard not to get it.

The wings are very very good! The tvs all were playing hockey game except one with baseball. Suggest playing a few more sports on the other tvs. Great atmosphere and my server was so smiley and nice!

We loved this place. Its small but quaint. Its a bar, so expect just that. Friendly people and they apparently allow pets inside. Normally that would have turned me away but the dog was friendly and did not bother people. Everything we has was great and so was the service.
Mellanies S — Google review
Super laid-back and casual tavern downstairs, with a very eclectic menu and full bar. Some seating outside. The staff was terrific, very helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious except the fish tacos weren’t very appetizing and didn’t have much taste. However, the grilled steak tacos were absolutely delicious as was the grilled chicken tacos - reminded us of California street tacos, all served in fresh corn tortillas and tasty salsa on the side. Each taco had two corn tortillas which held the generous portions of meats and fish. The Caesar salad was very crisp, fresh, and was served with a very tasty Caesar dressing. The sweet potato fries were yummy. Quick service, would go back for more of those really good meat based tacos.

This place feels like a little taste of home—warm, inviting, and full of character. The beer is top-notch and reasonably priced, and the food looked absolutely mouthwatering. Definitely worth the stop if you want to experience where the locals actually go. @7,920k feet

Good atmosphere. We came and they were playing the chiefs game. It was pretty busy. There was not a lot of seating soon we waited about 10 minutes. The waitress was good. I think we waited <30 minutes for our food. The food was good bar food. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and that was good. It was $17 with fries. The other is chili and it was mid and that was $10.

Nestled in a vibrant corner of town, Eric's Bar is the ultimate late-night destination for those seeking a laid-back atmosphere paired with fun activities. This inviting spot boasts an impressive selection of cocktails and beers, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends over a few cold drinks. The friendly vibe and attentive service create a homey feel that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Such a cool place. Went here first in 2016 and back again 4 years later. Amazing music, service, and drinks. They also have pool/shuffleboard and a fire pit so lots of options. Manager Oscar is doing a great job, keep it up!!!

Fun bar with awesome people. Drinks are good music is amazing. I really enjoyed this bar the most out of all the bars and clubs in apsen. I would advise people to check it out as they cater to every kind of crowd. They do have a cigar lounge, pool tables, and a dance floor with each one having their own bar to be served at!!!
James S — Google review
A mixed bag of locals and tourists in this place makes for a good atmosphere most nights. Cigar bar and smoking is allowed in sections of the place. Has a couple of different sections that make up the bar. The aforementioned cigar bar, the pool table room and the bar area. Great place to go out at night, or just chill or shoot a game of pool. Good drinks at a reasonable prices.
Domagoj P — Google review
Top notch bar. Main bar, side lounge, pool tables, shuffleboard, cigar lounge - lots of areas to hang out as a group, lots of corners to enjoy an intimate evening. Always have a great time and can't recommend it enough.
Andrew C — Google review
I’ll miss this place when it’s gone. It’s one of the last spots in town where being a local still means something. God bless the tourists and their money, but nothing beat skipping ahead of them in line for a pool table because you were a regular. This place is one of a kind, it’s irreplaceable. Damn them if they ever tear it down.
Gus F — Google review
Cozy place, great service and extremely friendly. Decent prices for drinks, there is a pool hall across the way and a Mexican restaurant right next door. You're allowed to smoke inside and lounge on couches.

This place sucks. Me and friends did not enjoy this bar at all. Esco for life. Shut down Eric’s bar literally no cap. Bouncers we’re creepy and weird. They let my friend in who is 17 but not 22 year olds. Good job Eric’s see you never! #escobar
Stella S — Google review
If there was a way to give this place a zero star rating, I would! Saturday night, January 27th 2018, was the first time I had ever been to this bar. It was a HORRIBLE experience and I will NEVER EVER go again or recommend it to anyone. The customer service is straight up pathetic. I've never been to a place like this were paying customers are treated like dirt by the employees. First of all, the doorman of the bar was an absolute jerk. I understand that there is a system that has to be maintained, but there are wrong ways and right ways to conduct business in a professional manner. Especially in an area like Aspen. We finally entered the bar after about 10-15 minutes of getting yelled at and headed to the bar for a drink to get in a better mood. Since it was the weekend of the x games, the bar was pretty packed and there wasn't a lot of space. My friend and I were suddenly pushed rather aggressively by one the waitresses while she muttered under her breathe "move!". At first I was appalled that she had even acted that way towards a customer and I then asked her if she could say excuse me. She then turned toward me and said with unessarsay attitude, " I am trying to work and you are in my way!". My friend then states that we understood that it was busy and crammed but there was reason to be rude. The bartender then stepped in and briefly apologized and told us to enjoy the rest of our night. We thanked her and then continued to wait in line for a drink. The waitress came back the same way and did the exact same thing acting in the same unpleasant manner. We told her again to say excuse me and she immediatley started going off. The bartender then stepped in again and told us that we had to leave. I told her no and that I wanted to speak to a manger about how their employee was treating us. She ignored my request and then got a male bodyguard to remove me (having you know that I am a small 23 year old woman who was still sober). I continued to ask for a manager as I was physically pushed out of the bar by a guy named "Justin" (my friend got his name while she was still in the bar). He pushed me outside by a metal staircase where there was no one else present and it was just me and him when he continued to yell at me to leave. I told him AGAIN that I wasn't going to leave until I spoke to a manager. He told me that it wasn't going to happen and then pushed me backwards and made me fall onto the stairs and I hit my knee which is now bruised. At this point, I was in pain, upset and honestly scarred so I just layed there and started to cry until he left. My friends were still in the bar with my ID and my wallet so I tried collecting myself and I went to the front to stand in line again. When i made it to the front, I had my stamp from the first time so they just let me in. I found my friends and got my things and then just sat in the corner until they were ready to leave. The same male bodyguard soon recognized me and kicked me out AGAIN. I went to the front and asked an older man that worked there for a manager. He told me no and basically to f**k off and never come back. He doesn't have to worry about that. I feel sorry for the owner of this bar because his employees will eventually kill his business. As for the waitress, if you can't handle doing your job on a busy night then you SHOULD NOT be working in this type of industry. I hope that management can learn from this and make sure their employees can handle their job responsibilities while still being professional and respectful. Sad.

French Alpine Bistro - Crêperie du Village is a charming and stylish restaurant located in the heart of Aspen village. It offers a cozy patio for enjoying fondue and summer salads, along with an extensive wine list. The bistro is known for its authentic French onion soup, fondue, and European-style crepes, ranging from classic to elaborate options.
I do not have command of a sufficient number of superlatives to explain to you how wonderful this restaurant is! It was like finding an oasis of Paris on a street corner in Aspen. The food was fantastic, the drinks were perfect and the atmosphere was magical. This is our can’t miss option in Aspen.

This restaurant is truly extraordinary. I consider myself an onion soup, connoisseur, and this onion soup was among the best I have ever had. The summer salad was a 8 1/2 out of 10 it was fresh, but had a little too much dressing. The dessert, a crème brûlée crêpe was also to die for I will eat here every time I come to Aspen. It’s truly a wonderful spot. The atmosphere is also very charming and the weight staff was amazing. I really can’t rate it any higher. It was over $100 without tip and no alcohol, but worth it IMHO.
Jonathan L — Google review
Let me start off the review with the food being quite good but definitely not worth the time. For example, when I ordered my meal of the gnocchi truffle (48$), the waiter then ask me if I wanted extra truffles on top. However I was unaware of the ludicrous amount they would rip me off with due to the prices not being mentioned on the menu. Those damn truffles cost more than my entire dish (50$). This place for me is a complete scam for anyone who values their money and dignity as the staff here feel like money-hungry vultures. Although I felt absolutely robbed, the presence and neoclassical design of restaurant was atmospheric and homely. But damn what a scam, this is to warn others not to come here. Greatly disappointed
Adam B — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. From the very beginning, the service provided by the waiter Campell left much to be desired: inattentive, uninterested, and unprofessional. As for the food, I ordered the cheese fondue and it was a huge letdown. While the flavor was acceptable, the preparation was terrible—the bottom was so thick and rubbery it felt like chewing gum, while the top was oily and watery, almost like melted butter mixed with water. This is far from what one expects from a proper fondue. Overall, both the service and the quality fell far below expectations. I will definitely not be returning or recommending this place.

Great staff, food was excellent! This Bistro has a cozy moody vibe. Our new #1 in Aspen. 😊

My good friends were in town and I am so glad we had the pleasure of experiencing French Alpine Bistro! Ana, our server was amazing and welcoming. The food was incredible and the Cheese Fondue was incredible. I have had the pleasure of going to 2 wine dinners thus far this year and not only is the food and wine exquisite but the pricing for the quality and portions is one of the best in town. I highly recommend this restaurant and they even allow private parties. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and intimate. Make your reservations early!

Absolutely fantastic experience at the French Alpine Bistro. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Cozy French place located in basement cave that feels like you’re traveled to mountain chalet in Alps. High end feel but not stuffy or pretentious. We loved our mains - all on point Alpine dishes like Wiener Schnitzel, etc. server was super friendly. Highly recommend. One of our favorite dinners in Aspen.

Matsuhisa is a renowned Japanese restaurant located in a charming 120-year-old Victorian house on Main Street Aspen. It offers an exquisite dining experience that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern flavors. The restaurant is famous for its sushi, sashimi, and innovative hot dishes prepared by the celebrated Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Diners can enjoy their meal in various settings, including an upstairs lounge, patio, and sushi bar.
The service made this place. Our waiter was smart, intuitive, caring, fun, and all these things while being on top of the details. Made me wish we had a waitress like this every evening out. The food was incredible. UNI all day, every day. Absolute must in Aspen. We loved everything about it.

I had an amazing dining experience at Matsuhisa. The Shrimp with Spicy Garlic Sauce was a nice appetizer, the Lamb Chops had a unique barbecue sauce and were cooked to my desired temperature (well done), and all of the sushi was great. My favorite item was the Black Cod, it was sensational. Service was top tier as expected. The ambience is typical of any fine dining establishment, but the interior design was underwhelming. An elevator and coat check are available for accessibility and convenience. Overall 9.5/10!

It was our first time trying this restaurant and it was good. We sat at the bar since we didn’t have a reservation. Our bartender was friendly and helpful. Food was good. I highly recommend making a reservation since it’s hard to get a table.

1st time dining here, asked our server, Marisa R, to please pick her favorites for our entire meal. The result, best sushi we have ever had in our lives (and my wife and I are both sushi connoisseurs)!! Here’s your road map to perfection: (1) Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno (2) Tuna Tataki with Garlic and Tozas (3) Truffle Sashimi (4) Shiitake Salad (5) King Crab Amazu Pomzu (6) Sashimi: Toro - bluefin belly & Smoked Salmon (7) Sushi Rolls: Hanachi & Dragon (8) Shaved Ice 🍧 pic below Highly highly recommend that when you are in or around Aspen you drop in! Bon appétit my friends!

It seems almost superfluous to review Matsuhisa Aspen, which to my mind is the flagship restaurant of the town. Food, drink, and service are consistently excellent over the years—best of any of the Nobu / Matsuhisa locations I have experienced. Lead sommelier, Dave, recommends and pours Bottled Poetry with world-class style.

Everything was EXCEPTIONAL. Mariana was fantastic. Ask for her! The food was unbelievably delicious. I’ve been in town visiting and I never once felt like a visitor while I was here. Such an amazing experience. 100% recommend coming.
Rachel H — Google review
We had a reservation for 9:00 p.m. and, upon realizing our Uber was delayed, we courteously called ahead. The staff assured us that our table would be held without issue. However, upon arrival, we were met by the manager, Olivia, who brazenly contradicted this assurance, falsely claiming our reservation had been canceled because the kitchen was closed. This assertion was patently untrue, as both the posted hours and their own website clearly state service continues until 9:30 p.m. The disingenuous handling of the situation, compounded by the uniformly dismissive and hostile demeanor of the staff, demonstrated an astonishing lack of professionalism and integrity. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment, and will certainly make a point to avoid it in the future.

Cache Cache is an upscale bistro in downtown Aspen that has been a favorite among diners for almost 40 years. The restaurant offers a blend of classical French cuisine with American influences, sourcing ingredients from local farmers. Dishes like wild Ecuadorian shrimp with local baby bok choy and Dijon- and herb-crusted Colorado rack of lamb showcase the chef's unpretentious yet heartfelt approach to cooking. The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine list, adding to its appeal.
Nice place for an upscale dinner! Lamb chops are a must there! Had one of the best foie gras terrine ever tried as well as escargot and beef tartare! Everything accompanied by a great wine selection! Had the Habemus Papam Chateauneuf du Pape and was excellent!

Cache cache is well known in Aspen as a high end French restaurant. The food did not disappoint. Truly delicious well prepared meals and beautifully presented. The salmon and trout dishes we're the best we've eaten as was the Osso Buco. While the acoustics prove to be a bit challenging, it was overall a wonderful experience. The staff was quite attentive, although they were very busy at our 8:00 p.m. dining time so it was a tad slow. A solid five stars for the food and wine selections available in this fine dining stand out in Aspen.

Restaurant accommodated my friends very specific allergies, service was very good, sommelier was comprehensive. Wine list good. Dinner for 3 ppl cost $1000USD + tip.
F L — Google review
Our server had a noticeable lack of care for our table. We had to ask for water refills, flag down our server each time we wanted to place an order, entrees arrived well before our drinks did. It felt as though our server recognized the poor efforts for our table and was too embarrassed to apologize/correct their level of attentiveness. I paid for an exceptional dining experience but instead received disorganized and unsatisfactory chaos.

Loved Cache Cache ❤️. First time in Aspen and we ate here twice during our 4 day visit. Delicious and flavorful pork chop with homemade pasta. Yum! French onion soup was superb! We couldn’t leave Aspen without another bowl and cocktails. We arrived one hour before they opened. They welcomed us in with open arms, recognizing us from our first visit. We were able to drink and eat early to squeeze it in during our last night with great service and sone laughs with the bartender.

We love Cache Cache! I have been in here twice over the past week to take advantage of the local's special at the bar. $10 for a glass of rose and $25 per meal is a seriously awesome deal in September for locals, and we appreciate that! The bartenders are always super friendly, the ambience is top notch, and the food is extremely delicious. We love their service and will be back again and again from Sunday-Wednesday while this special is going on this month! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Aspen for dinner. We had spaghetti & lamb meatballs and the meal was so filling + pork tacos were so yummy!

We came in for lunch. The place is spacious, music not too loud, service was great & our food was tasty. I had the Harvest Bowl with chicken. This is super spicy for me. There are so many levels of spiciness. I wish they have included the levels on their written menu. It is good but the spiciness made me not finish my meal.
Loreta D — Google review
We ordered vegetarian options— enchiladas and a burrito. The enchilada plate had two + rice and beans and unfortunately everything was hardly warm + rice and beans were crusty, so we didn’t eat much of that…. The burrito presentation was a little unappealing and bland in flavor. Walked away spending $80 feeling really bummed out about the value, taste, and overall dining experience. Also, I have to note, the high chair for my two year old was pretty gross :(
Samantha P — Google review
My flight was canceled and I headed downtown to find something to eat for lunch and came across this wonderful place. It did not disappoint at all. Here are my takeaways. Environment Huge restaurant with plenty of dining space whether you want to sit at the bar, in their main dining area or have views of the street with huge widows for people watching. It's a beautiful space with beautiful art and I loved the art and the designs around the bar. Very welcoming and high energy. Service The service was great and my server was very attentive and nice and gave great menu recommendations. Food and Drinks They have a pretty good lunch special that wasn't expensive (for Aspen) but very filling and tasty. I had a fried chicken taco and two chicken enchiladas that also come with beans and rice. What can i say - the food was really good. I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu that they have to offer. I also got a margarita that was pretty good and very strong. I recommend adding a fruit option to the drink for better flavor. Overall Great place for dining. The food was really good and tasty and the drinks strong for a fairly good price for Aspen. I would definitely visit this place again to try other things they have to offer. Check it out!

Food was ok, decent vegan options. Plant based people will be able to eat something. Guacamole passable but not amazing. Green Enchilada sauce was good. Enjoyed the chips. Mezcal margarita was ok but not amazing. Reasonably priced for aspen. Good for groups. Dog friendly.

Everything was so good. Mrs Bozeman didn't care for her beef rib enchilada but then she's never had one so I can't really blame them. I loved my food and all the sauces are made fresh. Atmosphere is amazing.

The food was very average tasting. I got the street tacos and you get two small tacos with some bland beans and rice for $25. It was pretty expensive for what you get. The service was terrible. It took a while to get an order in. When our food was delivered the waiter never came to check on us or refill our drinks. We had to flag him down to pay. The atmosphere and decor were really unique. The patio and indoor/outdoor seating was nice.

The Aspen Art Museum is a contemporary art venue that hosts international shows and features works by local artists. One of its recent exhibitions was an 18-month display by artist and poet Precious Okoyomon, which included an elysian garden on the rooftop. The outdoor installation featured various elements such as a soundscape, animate sculpture with organic materials, and edible and invasive plants.
During a ski trip to Aspen, I enjoyed my visit to the museum. I'm not sure why this museum has received so many low reviews, as I found the current exhibitions to be both interesting and informative. The café on the top floor also offered a decent variety of food and drink options.
Ray M — Google review
Nice and clean. Free admission. The exhibits are very small and the second floor is closed. The cafe and terrace are nice in the summer. It seems like the cafe is the destination, not the museum. Overall with such a limited exhibit, it was not impressive. I’ll try again another time when the second floor is open.
M B — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Aspen Art Museum was surprisingly unpleasant. The front desk staff came across as openly unhappy to be there — curt, unwelcoming, and giving off the strong impression they’d rather be anywhere else. It set a sour tone before I even stepped into the exhibits. For a place meant to inspire creativity and curiosity, the lack of basic hospitality was disappointing.
Nick O — Google review
Cafe on the top is fantastic. 2 floors of the museum devoted to an artist who just reprints other people's work... not so thrilling. Really enjoyed the basement sensory exhibits though.
Ben J — Google review
The best and most interesting is the building itself, glass, concrete and wooden architecture, don't miss the terrace for a good look at the town and mountains or if you want to have some basic food and drinks. The art itself is a random collection of weird stuff, good for visiting before going to the airport if you have some extra time. Street parking.
J. B — Google review
The building itself is an impressive piece of architecture featuring an earthy woven exterior with a interior/exterior staircase that that reaches the rooftop. Entry and coat check are free and there’s a nice cafe on the roof with a great view of the slopes.
Kevin F — Google review
The Art Meuseum is a must visit spot in Aspen. It is free to visit and has some very interesting architecture. The view from the rooftop is nice and you can also grab a bite to eat in the Cafe. The exhibit was Andy Warhol originals which was cool to see those in person. I only deducted a star because I am not a major fan of this type of art and this was the only exhibit at a time. But if you are in the area then this is worth a visit. ( I do not own any rights to the artwork but we did ask permission to photograph, these works can easily be found online, enjoy!)

Restaurant
Clark's Oyster Bar in Aspen is a seafood haven that offers a raw bar, draft beers, and a daily cocktail special. Executive chef Josh Hines takes pride in providing locals and visitors with high-quality, simply prepared seafood dishes, including the crispy snapper with grits that reflects his Southern roots. Despite being located far from the coast, Clark's manages to capture the essence of the ocean through its crudo plates and lobster rolls.
What a treat, we were lucky to be in Aspen during mud season and the place was like a ghost town for the exception of Clark's Oyster Bar which was almost full at 2:00 PM! The reason became evident when we saw the eclectic range of food available. If you love oysters from around the United States this is you place, the selection of raw oysters was one of the best we have come across. If you want a sandwich or soup numerous choices abound. A bit pricy but hey its Aspen, if you can get in you will not be dissapointed, full bar as well, recommended!!!

Anastasiia L — Google review
We came here for a post hike late lunch and it was exactly what we needed. The oyster selection was broad with plenty of east and west coast options. The portions were healthy for the clam chowder and burgers we ordered. The clam chowder was a good texture. The atmosphere was bustling without it being too noisy or crowded.
Nabila K — Google review
We loved everything about our dinner here- the service was great, the ceviche, oysters, crab Mac and cheese, cocktails, and clam chowder were excellent, but WHAT EVEN ARE THESE FRIES? How are you supposed to eat them? Why would anyone want so many? Please someday consider changing the “fries” to actual fries.

Everything was perfect. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Very creative dishes…the spicy cauliflower was a surprise hit, and the lobster roll was spot on.

A very nice sea food restaurant. We ordered the beef tartar, which was incredibly tender and delicious. The octopus was well seasoned. The shrimp linguine was well cooked but it was a bit bland after tasting the octopus. Should probably have asked for a bit of more salt.

Restaurant
Bosq Restaurant offers a modern and intimate dining experience, serving New American cuisine and cocktails. Chef-owner Barclay Dodge takes inspiration from the surrounding wilderness of the Roaring Fork Valley, foraging for ingredients like spruce tips, wild rose, watercress, and serviceberry branches. The restaurant's name is derived from the Spanish word "bosque," meaning forest.
My partner and I have dined here several times and it’s always been a 10/10 magical experience! The dinner service is artfully crafted from start to finish, in an elegant yet warm homey atmosphere that supports connection and conversation. The attention to detail is immaculate, right down to the personalized note from the Chef’s wife welcoming me to Bosq! I highly recommend the 7 or 9 course tasting menu. Even though the first few courses seem small at first, the dishes are all portioned in such a way that by the time we reached desert I was stuffed! Every dish is so unique and bursting with flavor, the duck liver mousse and Colorado potatoes are to die for, but the star of the show is their bread! If you’re looking for the fully immersive experience, definitely get the wine pairings. Each wine is expertly paired with each dish, and the sommelier showcases some truly unique wines that I would never encounter anywhere else. The cocktails are crafted with just as much care and creativity as the food, echoing some of the unique umami, fermented, and forest foraged flavors that are a hallmark of their cuisine. The bar tender is so friendly, handsome, and knowledgeable, and always takes excellent care of me. Bosq’s friendly staff and regular clientele makes this place feel like the “Cheers” of Michelin star fine dining!

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu and found each dish to be outstandingly delicious! The creativity in each dish is beyond one's imagination, and the flavors and execution are top-notch! All members of the restaurant deliver exceptional service and are knowledgeable about every dish. If the roasted duck is on the menu, it's a MUST try - cooked to perfection. Definitely order the inflated cabbage - an unexpected dish of deliciousness. The lobster grilled over juniper branches was luxurious and a melt-in-your-mouth dish. I cannot rave enough about Bosq. It simply exceeded our expectations and provided us with a meal of a lifetime!
Esmeralda L — Google review
My husband and I had the five course tasting menu and it was phenomenal!! Amazing flavours and presentation. The chef even wrote us a cute little card for it being our first time away from our baby which was such a sweet and personal touch. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Aspen!

We had the pleasure of dining here while celebrating our anniversary. I can confidently say the only downside to the evening was when it had to come to a close. We had the honor of being served by Emma who made us instantly comfortable as well as our sommelier Joe who expertly guided us through the pairings which felt very personal. I wish I could personally thank every person who made our evening special, the entire staff worked seamlessly and we were left without a want. Thank you all SO much for a wonderful evening, tell "Bear"nard we say hello haha.

I was fortunate enough to dine at Bosq in 2024, after receiving a glowing recommendation from a local I met at an event. When I knew I was returning to Aspen, I made it a priority to secure a seat for this visit. I make it a mission to partake in Chef's tasting menus wherever I visit and the Bosq experience is in the upper echelons of my dining life. The team moves seamlessly like a well choreographed dance, which complements the delicious and well presented food. The sommelier did an excellent job with the pairings, given the complex flavors presented. Bravo Chef Dodge and Team.

MUST VISIT IN ASPEN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I will always remember my time at Bosq. My Fiance had this as a surprise after our engagement on Aspen mountain. I truly appreciate the owners being so sweet to him, and helping get our dinner coordinated. We travel all over and have been to multiple Michelin star restaurants, but Bosq is & forever will be #1 on my list for multiple reasons. -the food embodies Aspen perfectly. The presentation of the food, the stories behind the ingredients, and most importantly: the taste. You guys nailed it. -I loved how personable this experience was for us as well. I collect the menus from all MS restaurants we go to and frame them, and Bosq gave us one with our names on it + a handwritten letter & a beautiful candle from the owners. Wow! What a night to remember. Thank you for your hospitality, Molly & Chef. We will be back.

Very disappointed. For 2 cocktails, the chef tasting menu and the basic wine pairing (plus tip) the total cost was about $1,400. This food would have been disappointing for half that price. The rabbit was very tough, the lobster was rubbery, and none of the courses were all that impressive which is expected from a Michelin star $1400 meal. Overall would not recommend.

Home Team BBQ is a lively tavern known for its generous portions of smoked meat and classic Southern sides, accompanied by frequent live music. The original location, housed in a converted 1900s gas station, remains popular among locals despite the expansion to multiple spots in Charleston and even one in Aspen. The menu features slow-cooked meats and traditional Southern sides, complemented by an extensive drink selection including frozen cocktails, American whiskies, and craft beers.
If you’re looking for a chill spot with good BBQ and a great view, this place is solid. The vibe is super relaxed, perfect for hanging out after a day on the mountain. Plus, you get a nice view of the Buttermilk ski slopes while you eat. I had the pulled pork nachos, and they were pretty good. Plenty of toppings, smoky and flavorful, without being overwhelming. My friend got the carnitas tacos, and they were just as good. Overall, it’s a great spot to kick back, enjoy some good food, and take in the scenery. I’d definitely come back.

While staying at the hotel a few days. I heard great things about Home Team BBQ and have it a try. Since day one I was hooked on the flavor and so this review is from 3 different days trying different options. I’ll start by saying that from Christy the host, to the servers like Gil and others, they were great and made the experience well enjoyed. Ate after 6pm most days. Dined in with no wait time. Recommendations provided of daily specials by everyone. Food wait time was normal on all dine-in. First day I tried the turkey platter with baked beans and Mac & cheese. Everything was fenomenal, so tender. I’m big on Max & cheese which is why I had on all 3 occasions. Portion is just right with a bit of the harden cheese. Stays hot during course of the meal which is great. Beans flavorful with that smoky presence. Second day I went for the wings…😋😋😋 OMG!!! The flavor is to the bone 🦴 so good. No lack of smoky taste here! It’s definitely a party in the mouth when you first bite into them! Added mac & cheese. Can’t pass that up. Third day Christy points out having the Cuban sandwich on the specials menu. Being from south Florida , Cuban sandwiches can be found throughout. Trying foods outside of my daily circles provides an opportunity to taste different renditions of popular foods. This Cuban sandwich is no exception. The sandwich includes all the main elements from Cuban sandwiches but with their own touch. Hint of mustard included which is a must in Cuban sandwich and the pickles were added, cut thicker than the norm and is a great touch. The pork has the smoky taste which is unique to Home Team BBQ and makes the entire sandwich explode with flavor. Size looks small but was very filling. Size just right. Amazing place to dine and highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lastly, the views outside are stunning and make outdoor eating so enjoyable. 🏔️

We had a wonderful dining experience with good food and excellent service. One of our dishes was slightly delayed, but the manager went out of their way to make it right by offering us a complimentary dessert—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. That kind of service truly sets a place apart. We’ll definitely be back!

If you're a fan of great BBQ and pretty views, this place is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away at the base of the mountain, it offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and natural beauty. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The food was delicious. We were a party of 7 so there was a lot of variety in our order. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the chicken had a perfect smoky crust, and the sauces added just the right kick. The creamy mac and cheese with pepper and tater tot’s were just right. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. It's rare to find a place that delivers this well on taste, vibe, and value all in one package. Highly recommended!

The food is good, fresh, and seasoned well. However for the price you shouldn’t charge so much to drink plain Lipton iced tea out of a cheap old plastic red cup and charge $2.50 for 2 oz of sauce is insane. The kids chicken tenders is cheap frozen chicken strips that come with nothing fyi. The brisket chili was the best thing that we liked.

Amazing food every meal we had. The fried ribs were the best ribs I've had in my life and that's hard to say as a Kansas City native.

Got the wings and the pulled pork nachos, both were incredible!! The white sauce for the wings was the perfect balance of creamy and tangy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the mood for some good bbq

We cannot say enough positive things about Home Team BBQ's catering services—they provided the most amazing food for our wedding! We were looking for a more causal alternative for our wedding and landed on a BBQ buffet. From the first bite to the last, the quality and taste of the food were absolutely phenomenal. We were truly blown away, and more importantly, our entire wedding guest list was raving! We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. The service was impeccable, and they made the catering process seamless. If you want delicious, high-quality, and crowd-pleasing food that your guests will talk about for years to come, you must choose Home Team BBQ. They are truly top-tier!

Fine dining restaurant
Betula Aspen is a chic restaurant that offers a casual yet elegant dining experience, featuring a diverse menu of French pan-American dishes crafted by Parisian-born chef-owner Laurent Cantineaux. With an impressive culinary background, including experience at Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris and New York, Cantineaux's expertise shines through in the carefully curated selection of culinary masterpieces.
Every dish was an intentional work of art. They clearly care about details in the kitchen. The menu was well organized and thoughtful. I watched the staff stress on perfection, and although I wouldn't say the experience was perfect, the effort filled the gaps. Quality is possible from the top down, and whoever is running this place expects a lot from their staff, and it shows. Absorbing this matters. This restaurant has character which matters as well.

What a lovely evening! Beautiful restaurant with doting staff and amazing service. We opted for caviar and champagne and were completely pleased!

Amazing service and incredible food! The seabass was the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The mango dessert was light, refreshing, and delicious. And the octopus? Absolutely outstanding — tender and flavorful. Highly recommend for a special evening in Aspen!

I wish I had taken a picture of their desert. I have tried one of the best sorbets in my life. From the moment my husband and I stepped into the restaurant to last bite of our meal, everything was perfect. Wine selection could be less expensive . We will be back.
Olga K — Google review
Service by Benjamin was top-notch and the Elk Creole dish was absolutely delicious as was their bread. But the Seared Chilean Seabass left a lot to be desired— the sickly brown sauce was so salty it killed the dish and tasted like it came from a bottle — it needed a lighter more elegant composition.

This is the place that you need to go when you are in aspen. The food the service is the best that you can have when you are at the restaurant. The vibe and the music is 🔥🔥🔥. When I took at bite of the steak it was like everything that was needed to make a steak a steak. Also don’t let me bring up that they have A DJ like wow. This was the best experience that you can have in aspen…..

Step into Betula and you'll instantly recognize it as more than just a restaurant—it's an experience in fine dining. The ambiance is a blend of sophistication and charm, with different zones to cater to every mood. Personally, I was enamored by the house music gently playing in the background, adding an extra layer of ambiance. We were lucky enough to be ushered into a quiet corner by the fireplace, which lent a cozy intimacy to our dining experience, contrasting with the buzz of the main room. Service was flawless, attentive yet unobtrusive. As for the food, every dish was a symphony of flavors. The ceviche Bonito was a testament to balance, each bite bursting with freshness. The pan-seared foie gras melted on the tongue, a delicate touch that was simply divine. Now, let's talk about the Chilean sea bass. Yes, the price tag may be astronomical (it is IMHO, $78), but it's worth every penny. It was hands down the tastiest fish I've savored in a while, leaving me longing for more even as I finished the last bite. And then there were the braised bison short ribs and gratin dauphinois—a match made in culinary heaven. The ribs were tender and flavorful, while the gratin dauphinois was the epitome of comfort food done right. While the wine list is extensive, be prepared for the hefty price tag that accompanies each bottle. One word of advice: make a reservation. Trust me, it's better than facing a long wait time and risking missing out on this culinary delight.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was amazed by the very elegant decor, the soft lighting, the long table in the main room, the bar, the cozy patio. The service was excellent, the food was exquisite. A little overpriced, but definitely very chic.

Highlands Alehouse is a cozy European-style cabin located on Aspen Highlands Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Maroon Bells. The alehouse provides an elegant menu featuring caviar, fondue, prix fixe lunch selections, and a variety of cocktails, wine, and beer. Established in 1958, it has been a popular local spot to unwind after a day of skiing.
This was a great place to grab a bite to eat after a morning of hiking at the Maroon Bells Park in the Fall. The Philly steak sandwich was absolutely fantastic! We also had the Angus burger which was also excellent, the fries were crispy and our side salad was fresh. I definitely give this place five stars.

Great place. Here for summer and staying up Marion Creek Dr. We did not want to get in the summer traffic into town. The chicken panini and pizza was great. Ice cold beer at the bottom of the lifts during summer was great. C U next time.
A F — Google review
Pricing is terrible. $40 per person for okay food, okay fries and terrible chips and salsa. Philly was soggy and bland. Angus burger was under cooked and lacked flavor. Chicken tenders were nothing special. Fries were okay not great. Chips.and salsa were the worse. Stale hard chips and salsa that was disappointing. Service is you order at the bar. The beer was good. Drink the beer, forget the food.

Best burger in Aspen by far. The place is authentic, relaxed and has a beautiful setting. The portion sizes are generous. There is value when comparing to restaurants in downtown Aspen. Very kid-friendly!

Hung here mostly during ski season. Was a great vibe then. The summer did not disappoint either. Sundays, in the summer, they also have a live band at 4pm. Great vibe. Music, food, drinks, dogs, kids and people from everywhere! Great time, great food! Mozzarella Sticks app. Highlands Philly, amazing fresh ribeye, and fried Oreos and ice cream for dessert! Desert picture enclosed. Cheers!

We stopped at the Higlands Alehouse on our way through Aspen. The location is at the base of a chair lift, and there were great views of the mountains. However, it was a very warm day, and we found the restaurant stuffy and uncomfortable. The bartender was very friendly, and overall service was top-notch. There were a dozen or so CO craft beers on tap. The food was good, although it was served on small, mini baking sheets and accompanied by paper plates. The homemade chips/salsa/guac was excellent ($13). The chicken panini ($22) was ok, sloppy with sauce, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. Loved that we could sub out fries for our choice of salad ($2). Biggest gripe was that parking was $14 for just over an hour. There was also a "Staff Cost of Living" charge added to our bill. It's a 3% charge, and I'm OK with this, but just wanted to mention this so you're not surprised. Before tip, our bill was $58 for the chips, sandwich and two beers. About what I'd expect at a resort. I'm sure this place would be a must stop if It were ski season, right in the heart of the action. Enjoy!

Located at the base of Aspen Highlands, right in front of the main lifts, Highlands Alehouse is our favorite spot to grab food and drinks for lunch or after a day of skiing. The food is great, the pub is nice inside, and the service at the bar is excellent. You can't get any more convenient than this place if you're visiting the Highlands.
A R — Google review
We ate here after going to Maroon Bells from the shuttle service in the building across the pavilion. First off, this place is expensive. Be prepared to spend 40-60$ for 2 people for lunch. The best thing was the fried mozzarella. I got the barbacoa tacos, and they were awful. Not sure if it was just a slow day but the meat was super dry and tough. Philly was okay, nothing crazy. Another person we were with got the Fajita bowl, which is misleading because it's a salad. Fajitas are suppose to have meat. White rice and bell peppers. They then had to order the meat separately after realizing it was an $18 salad. When they brought the meat to us they pretty much threw it down, and it was 4 slices of dry unseasoned chicken... Great views though. We tried to talk to a manager and I guess there wasn't one.

Red Mountain Grill Aspen is a restaurant located at the Aspen Golf Club, offering great views and a relaxed atmosphere. After living in Aspen for a while, I wanted to try a new restaurant. Luckily, I found this amazing place. The food was delicious, especially the crispy and tasty chicken fried steak and the chicken sandwich. They even have my favorite French rose wine, which is sometimes hard to find in the winter. I can't wait to go back in the summer, sit on the patio, and enjoy the beautiful view! Our server was very attentive and provided great customer service.

We had our son’s Grooms dinner on the back deck, and it couldn’t have been better. Everyone raved about the food, and the service was wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue with absolutely excellent and friendly service. All our guests raved about the buffet food, and it was a wonderful occasion and memory thanks to Jamie (co-owner) and his wonderful, friendly professional staff. Highly recommend Red Mountain Hrill in Aspen Gild Course.

We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful view of the golf course. The place was busy, we went for drinks and desserts. The cheese cake was magnificent and the bread pudding one of the best I ever had. We had the chicken last time we came and it was very tasty and juicy. It could use a renovation since it looks very updated.

The perfect place for outdoor dining! Amazing views of the Aspen golf course and mountains from the spacious back patio. The space inside is a casual pub/sports bar style. A very short drive or a bike ride from downtown Aspen. The food is very good and affordable - a mix of comfort food and healthy options. I love the salad with wild caught blackened salmon. During the summer they have lobster nights once a week. A reservation is required. Definitely stop by to have a scenic breakfast (check if available), lunch or a casual dinner and avoid the crowds in downtown Aspen’s casual eateries while enjoying beautiful views and good pub food.

You could take public bus and get off the Truscott and 5-7mins by walk. If I want to rate, I wanna give more than 5 stars for Lobster night on Saturday! $65 comes with clam chowder, lobster, asparagus as side, potato, lettuce and dipping butter. You could have whole lobster and enjoy it by yourself! We also ordered chicken wings that you could select buffalo sauce or teriyaki which was amazing too! Service was good as well.

The restaurant offers a bold menu of Latin American cuisine curated by Celebrity Chef Lorena Garcia, known for her appearances on popular cooking shows. The Apres Ski menu features an array of spirit-forward cocktails and hearty mains, making it a perfect spot to unwind after hitting the slopes.
Our family ate dinner here back in Feb 2022. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere in restaurant is awesome, clean and cool looking. The staff is friendly and great service. The food was delicious but def pricey but after all, you are in Aspen. The outdoor area is really nice too, they have heaters out there in winter. The bar is stocked and has EVERYTHING! The drinks were well made and tasty. I highly recommend it.

First and foremost: the food is exquisitely delicious and extremely flavorful. Although the menu is limited in a sense, you can rest assured that everything on it is packed with unique flavors and will please your pallette. The wine list, for those who enjoy their fine wines, is well stocked with great wines of varied ages and styles although heavier on the French wines due to the restaurant creator (slight bias but no complaints 🙂) Lastly, the place is cute, quaint, but very dimly lit. There is definitely a vibe to be had but die to the small space, it does get quiet noisy within a dark lit room. Final point: I would return.

The bad news: it is very dark. You might need a flashlight to see the menu :) The good news: it is a vibe! And, the food is excellent. Our servers were also wonderful, with great suggestions on what to order. Check this place out! You won't be disappointed.

Terrible food! We come to Aspen every year and finally decided to check this place out (place opened in December 2021). I have no idea why people come here, price and quality is beyond reasonable. Whatever we tried was disastrous. Tuna tartare $28 aka ceviche style was way too overwhelming; crispy salmon poke $28 (3pcs) was fun but still ok; and the worse was anticuchos skewers $75 - how can you screw up chicken?! It's beyond our understanding. Ordered side of French fries - guess what? Those were FROZEN fries, I don't recall its price, but I'm sure it was outrageous. It's unacceptable. We would definitely avoid this place at any cost. After this dining experience we went searching for better food quality and thank God we found one and our Saturday evening wasn't busted completely.

The venue boasts an inviting outdoor patio bar during the warmer months, allowing guests to sip on refreshing pomegranate martinis or classic PBR tall boys while soaking up the lively atmosphere.

I have no idea why people come here. The stairway down to the bar looks like you’re heading to a dingy subway station. The (ladies) bathroom had so many problems: it smelled like urine, they hung toilet paper on the coat hook instead of in the toilet paper dispenser, and then there was nothing to dry your hands with after washing your hands. The pink lights are fun, that’s about it. Maybe this was a solid place once before but it’s a ways away from anything I will return to.

Great bar tender service. People letting you in was fabulous! DJ was good, could use more of a variety for my taste, but People were dancing, glad to see this place after 30 years. Fun place, you are able to reserve tables and vip tables ahead of time! Dance away!!! Plenty of dancing room, I recommend hanging your coat, just so you do not have liquids spilled on your fur coats!!! Cute disco!!!

This place is a rip off. 9 of us reserved a table. We agreed on 6k for what we wanted to order. We received only what we agreed on for the 6k. When the bill came, it was 9k. We disputed the bill and they told us, if we didn’t pay the full amount , that they were going to call the cops on us. Cloud 9 is worth 9k and so fun. Escobar is not worth walking in the front door. I recommend finding a different spot.

Super fun and laid back spot for dancing! Came into it thinking it would be pretentious and fancy but it was casual, chill and good vibes. There was no cover and coat check was $5 (they let my girlfriend and I put it in one hanger which was nice!). The music on 3/24 was not that great, but one dj was better than the other. Wish they played more hiphop and had better cider options but overall had a great time!

If I were to sum up every club I’ve ever been to,(a sizable amount), Escobar Aspen would definitely fall below average. The DJs that played we’re actually very good, but the venue is a joke. They charge an arm and a leg for drinks, and for what, the venue is the size of my bedroom 😂. It’s supposed to look like an airplane, but actually looks like a large sewer drain. I’m being critical, but it’s well warranted. Only thing I liked was the girl who took my coat and the dj.

White House Tavern is a charming eatery located in a 19th-century miner's cottage, offering an intimate dining experience. The menu features elevated sandwiches, burgers, salads, and craft cocktails. One of their highlights is the Parigi-style pizza, a focaccia-like creation with various seasonal flavors on a white base. The tavern also offers low rates and seasonal discounts for patrons to enjoy their hearty portions of food.
Excellent lunch here on almost all levels. Our two salads were creative and perfectly executed, as was my cocktail. Servers were super friendly, and the atmosphere was beautiful! Only downside was the slooooow service. My husband ordered a 2nd beer halfway through his meal, but it took so long to come out we had finished by the time it arrived. They did comp it (we only had time to drink 2 sips before we left), but beer should be super quick and they should put a rush on it when you're in the middle of your meal. Other than that, spot on, and we would for sure go back!

Fantastic restaurant. Food tasted great. Worth the long wait for a table (over an hour for a party of 4), especially if you have other things to do around Aspen. The kids loved the food. Plenty of other families with kids dined around us. The menu had just the right level of sophistication that elevated it beyond the simplicity but still allowed it to be done well without alienating the kids. Service was attentive and allowed accommodation for food allergy. Sitting on the patio near the road has its disadvantages. Noise from the cars and motorcycles passing by often distracted from the atmosphere. But on a sunny afternoon I would still recommend sitting outside.

Everything how it should be. For Europeans: after 10 days i managed to eat for the first time fresh salad and vegetables. Quality food, for a slightly higher price (Aspen...) and really nice waitresses who made our lunch 10/10. Can only recommend it!

We had the pleasure of dining here for lunch with friends during a quick visit to Aspen last week. It’s always a great experience but it’s particularly refreshing to see a restaurant staff on their “A-Game” when mediocrity has become the norm so many places. Everything about our lunch was great, but especially the professional service.
Braun M — Google review
I was so disappointed by this place with the ratings it has. Located in downtown aspen, this place has wonderful views and atmosphere but it goes downhill from there. The waitress acted very bothered by our presence and seemed unhappy with her job. She seemed to be pressuring us to move faster and get out. I understand it’s a busy weekend in the middle of leaf peeping season but you can still be polite. When we stated we would just be getting apps and drinks she rolled her eyes and stated she would try to get us moved to the bar since we were seated in a “full dining section”. We were ordering drinks and appetizers! After we got our appetizer she immediately brought us the check like she couldn’t wait to get rid of us. Very upsetting and confusing treatment. Food was ok. But not necessarily worth the aspen premium.

French dip sandwich is good. I also like the chicken sandwich, but the chicken is super thin. Like 1/4 inch thick. Great flavors though which leaves me conflicted. Skip the fries, horrible, thin, flavorless. Salads and deviled eggs look good, but I have not tried them.

Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop is a trendy spot that offers artisanal breads, meats, and cheeses alongside a selection of wine, cocktails, and beer. The restaurant has shifted to offering only to-go food during the winter season, prompting executive chef Bryan Garneau to revamp the menu for easy transport.
Meat & Cheese is the perfect little lunch spot in downtown Aspen if you’re looking for a quality bite to eat with great service. I had the street tacos and I enjoyed the fact it was Wagyu beef which isn’t typical for this type of dish. A friend had the quesabirria tacos which they enjoyed. My absolute favorite part of the meal was the salted chocolate chip cookie board which came with two cookies and vanilla milk. The cookies were SENSATIONAL!!! Perfectly baked, warm and gooey in the middle while still maintaining the ideal level of crunch throughout. They were so delicious I went back later that night after dinner at Matsuhisa to get another batch for me and my driver. Ambiance inside was nice and cozy. As a first time visitor, I enjoyed the fact they had a great selection of cheese, meats, wine, and gifts for purchase to round out the experience. Overall 9/10.

Went to celebrate my mom’s birthday and wow, I still dream about this place. If I had to pick a last meal, this would be it. I got the steak board and ate every last bite. My mom got the rotisserie chicken board. We sat outside and the views from downtown Aspen were absolutely breathtaking. The service was warm and pleasant, which made the whole experience even better. If you love steak, potatoes, and a good heartwarming meal, this spot is a must-try.

overall not bad! the meat and cheese board i’d say was a bit overpriced for what we got. it was mostly crackers. loved the mustard! we ordered the steak board and the vietnamese salad. the steak board was pretty good, the steak was a little underdone though. the salad was heavily lacking flavor, the sauce was almost the consistency of water and was not flavorful. there was also fried onions on it which didn’t really make sense to me.

Despite the restaurant’s name they have more than just meat and cheese here. Enjoyed their Vietnamese chicken salad and it was the best single lunch dish I’ve had in Aspen. Great combination of chicken, egg, cucumber, carrot, lettuce, noodles, and fried onions. Try to snag a table outside on their patio — atmosphere outdoors is five stars vs. indoors a little bit more cramped and only four stars. Service at the bar was very good.

The 3% charge to offset the “high cost of living in paradise” feels inappropriate. Guests come to Aspen expecting premium prices, but not additional fees justified by the staff’s local living expenses. If costs are high, they should be reflected transparently in menu pricing, not added as an emotional surcharge. Food is good. Service average:

I had a really nice experience dining here! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everything I ordered tasted really good. The flavors were on point, and you can tell the food is made with care. The only thing I’d mention is that the steak was a bit on the chewy side, but still flavorful. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.

Our server recommended the Pastrami and the Quesabirria tacos and they were flavorful and unique. The pastrami was spicy, tangy, and had great texture. The tacos had wonderful consomé and had a tender meat. Highly recommend this place!

Food was good although menu is somewhat limited. Value by Aspen standards is above average. My one drawback would be the seating is tight. If you don't mind listening to conversations and having others listen to yours, you'll be fine here.

Live music venue

Belly Up Aspen is a popular and intimate music venue located in downtown Aspen. Since 2005, it has been a staple of the area, attracting big-name artists from various musical genres. With over 300 concerts annually, there's always something new to experience. The venue's small size allows for an up-close and personal concert experience with renowned musicians like The Killers, Snoop Dogg, and John Legend.
Truly one of a kind, must see venue. If you are a big time music lover then Belly Up must be on your list. (On a side note : beware of 20 something year old locals with very poor morals!) Very small intimate venue with a great view from everywhere in the house. The staff here is absolutely top notch in every way. Layout is extremely convenient to get around, and parking was easy to find near by. If you want to be close to the stage or get one of the few(non-reserved) seats then you better get there right when doors open. Doors opened at 9, show was at 10, Illenium came on at 11 and played unitl 12:30. As long as you get there in the first hour its not tough to get in at all. The acoustics were great and if your close to the stage you get whipped in the face with the bass at times. Will absolutely be back in the future and put it at the top of my list for favorite venues of all time. Well worth it! To have only seen Illenium at sold out Red Rocks shows or festivals of 25,000+ crowds before this . . . To see him up close in a crowd of only 400 people, It's hard to put into words how incredible it was. What this unmatched venue does, bringing A-list acts to such an intimate setting for deep fans is such a one of a kind thing. I seriously can't wait until my next show here, one if the best days ever!

This is such a cute venue! We came to see Michael Franti and Spearhead and it was an amazing show! The venue only holds 450 people so it's a super intimate place and of course, Michael Franti is an amazing artist who engages the audience by encouraging us to talk to a stranger, do-si-do with others, and sings in the crowd!

Very much changed since my last visit, several years ago. Larger, more convenient as just as great vibes. The staff is incredible. How they maintain such upful attitudes is commendable. Intimate and raucous. Totally fun.

Nick Sung: A Maestro of Music and Energy! I recently had the incredible opportunity to witness a truly awe-inspiring performance by the extraordinary DJ, Nick Sung, hailing from the vibrant music scene in Korea. From the moment he took the stage, it was evident that we were about to embark on a musical journey like no other. Nick Sung's talent, passion, and boundless energy transformed the atmosphere, leaving the audience in a state of pure bliss. Nick Sung's mastery of his craft is nothing short of remarkable. With an impressive array of mixing techniques, he effortlessly blends genres and eras, creating a seamless fusion that defies categorization. From pulsating electronic beats to nostalgic throwbacks and everything in between, Sung has an innate ability to read the crowd and curate a sonic experience that resonates with each individual on the dance floor

Fantastic, intimate, historic venue in the middle of Aspen. It was fascinating to be in a place where so many influential acts have played. Capacity ranges from 300 to 450 depending on configuration. Check their www to see the greats who have graced this stage. Staff was helpful and made feel welcome. Will return.

What a magical night at an amazing venue! We travelled all the way to Aspen to see DRAMA at belly up. We were surprisingly shocked by how great this venue is. The staff are all very warm and welcoming. The venue is super clean and put together. Everything moves like a well oiled machine. Thank you belly up for an unforgettable night! & Co.

I went to a Saved by the 90’s concert and it was a lot of fun. The stage and dance areas are nicely laid out to where you don’t have to be crammed on the dance floor like a sardine if you don’t want to. Staff was very friendly.

Try their sushi rolls and any of the fish dishes - there was also lamb, steak and so many other wonderful options to choose from it has a great vibe - honestly, one of the best experiences in Aspen.

Worst social club ever. My family will be cancelling our membership. Went into the caribou club as an invited guest under my family’s account and the owner Billy was incredibly disrespectful and rude after not being able to find my name on the guest list. I called the owner of the account so we could try and fix it but Billy refused to assist us. Even before that his attitude was abhorrent. I’ve been in clubs all over the world Milan, capri, Miami, Vegas, Turks and Caicos, and many more. I have never experienced the level of disrespect I did here. The place also looks like it hasn’t been updated in 20 years. For a place that you have to pay for the privilege to even attend I would expect better service, more patience, and maybe an interior update in the last 15-20 years. There are much better clubs in the area, my advice is your better off anywhere else. We had tons of fun tonight elsewhere and I’m sure anyone else who listens to this review will as well.

Located within the historic Wheeler Opera House, Aspen Public House is a rustic pub offering a diverse menu that includes global dishes, wine, craft cocktails, and draft beer. The upscale venue seamlessly blends modern comfort with historic charm and stays open until midnight. Whether you're looking for a late-night bite or a stylish setting to socialize with friends, this establishment promises an elegant ambiance and eclectic offerings that cater to various tastes.
Great place to grab a quick bite and some tap beer 🍺👌. Authentic aspen classic spot. Burgers were great and filling. The steak sandwich was small and delicious. Fries were really fresh and crispy. Chairs at rhe high tables are not very comfortable, so if you're planning on sitting for a while the bar stools or 2 person tables seemed to be more comfortable.

Great place to grab a beer and hang out. Burrata was delicious, service was great. But we were disappointed by the 'tempura' chicken wings. They were more like chicken nuggets.
Kimberly B — Google review
Awesome Old Fashioned. Salads were great but I should have asked what was included in the “grilled vegetables”. LOTS of mushrooms and I’m not a fan. The Burrata was epic!

Good food, great alcohol and beer selection (didn't have any but noticed their extensive selection). Hubby had Ruben, I had salad, kids split chicken sandwich, all split bruschetta. Everything was so good. Wait staff was friendly and could eat inside or out. It's in a historic building, which is cool too.
Biology N — Google review
I am sorry to admit that I had initially dismissed this place from the outside as a tourist trap, given its central location and proximity to the Opera House. I am so happy to report that I was wildly wrong, and had one of the best meals in Aspen yet. While some places may turn away a lone diner looking for a dedicated table instead of bar seating on a busy Friday night, I was warmly accommodated after a (relatively painless) ~20min wait in the queue. After that, service was FAST, getting my order and bringing it out in what must have been around 10-15 minutes tops. Their menu is creative yet focused, and and frankly for the quality, highly affordable. An amazingly prepared double stack Angus burger on a pillowy brioche bun with fries for $18.75? A side of truffle potatoes for just $11.75?? This is frankly ridiculous affordability for 2025, especially for the quality. The only thing on the menu at a more "normal" (read: mildly painful) price are the cocktails, but even there I felt I got a lot of bang for my buck - excellent quality, fun recipe (Cucumbers in Space), and a tall, wide glass that didn't skimp on the alcohol. So, yeah. Maybe I shouldn't call attention to the affordability + quality of this place, lest they decide to hike the price... but for once, it just felt like my dollar was ACTUALLY paying for a great portion of high quality food in a delightful and unobtrusive atmosphere. This is how you do a decent night out without breaking the bank. Everyone else... take notes!!
Ben J — Google review
Excellent selection of bourbons here but avoid the rarest ones. The markup on them is totally unreasonable. $250 a pour for pappy 20 year is ridiculous, $800 a pour for double eagle? That's only a 2k bottle. The food is good but avoid the glamour of hard to find bottles if you have any common sense. Remember the longer that bottle sits open the less it's worth.
Jacob H — Google review
Cool rustic setting. The food and drinks were great. Unfortunately our waitress did not know anything about the menu, restaurant, WiFi, etc and two of our items came out different from the menu. The kitchen was missing ingredients and did not tell us until we were eating. Still a great spot to grab a burger made from local beef

JUS Aspen is a small counter-serve outlet in Aspen that offers a variety of healthy options including fresh-pressed juices, breakfast smoothies, sandwiches, salads, and coffee. The place is popular among chic locals and jet-setting visitors for its unpretentious yet deeply satisfying cuisine. Their menu includes protein balls, fresh-pressed juices, green smoothies, smoothie bowls, sammies, and breakfast quesadillas.
Came in here and really loved it as a health food store. Some items are better than others. The snickerdoodle and coconut protein balls are out of this world. My smoothie was amazing. The juices are OK, not my favorite thing there but it’s a juice nevertheless. Kind of hidden location by Valentino and Res Ipsa, you can eat out in the common area. A bit on the pricey side but that’s a health food place in Aspen for you.

Cute little juice & coffee bar. We were looking for a coffee shop and found this little gem. Our coffee and matcha latte drinks were good. However, the girl taking our orders wasn’t attentive.
Lina C — Google review
super disappointed in this place. the woman taking our order was not very attentive and helpful when we asked questions about the menu. the inside and back where they prep everything did not look or feel very clean. there was a woman touching the protein balls with her bare hands and then directly after answered the phone. the smoothie bowl i got did not taste good, the granola almost tasted burnt. there was one single strawberry haphazardly cut up on the top, and less than a quarter of a banana. the smoothie base itself was not good. the smoothie and proteins balls we got were just okay. we spent 60 dollars on 4 small protein balls, one small smoothie bowl with lacking toppings and a chicken wrap that was 90% greens. would not come back here and would not recommend.

Great, clean food. Delicious options for food and so many great juices and drinks. I love the almond milk for a treat. Usually get the charcoal lemonade with lunch. I’m gluten free and have good options.

Paid 22 dollars for strawberry spoiled breast milk, and lawn fertilizer with extra dirt. It seems to be a more money than brains and actual taste in quality type deal. U know the types. Just a high price tag is all that matters. Complete garbage. Wanna toss a couple twenties in the trash? Come on in!!! Then u can be cool too!!!

The Red Onion, a historic American tavern established in 1892, is a must-visit spot in Aspen. The brick-walled saloon offers pub fare and occasional live music, making it a beloved institution in the area. With its old Victorian details such as brick walls, wood floors, and antique lanterns still intact, the tavern has been updated by the brother-and-sister team Jennifer and Thomas Colosi.
I was looking for a spot to watch UGA play in the Rose Bowl when I stumbled across this gem! The apres ski atmosphere was festive, and the food was delicious! We got the steak tacos, Philly cheese steak, onion rings, and chicken tenders for the kids. The service was great, as well. 5 stars.
Bree S — Google review
This bustling restaurant drew me for 2 reasons. A) the history that it was the original restaurant in its same location since the village grew around it and B) because there is/was a great restaurant in Vancouver that was modeled after this one and I worked there for yrs during Uni! A great history lesson, and bits of Americana nestled into the main street of Aspen. I would definitely recommend people check this place out. Stay for a drink or feed the entire crew, not if you're on shoestring budget tho!
Tdawt N — Google review
It's a busy little place located in Aspen’s downtown shopping area with both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements. We had 8 people in our group, so had to wait little bit (almost 30 mins) to get a table. It was super crowded and loud inside, we had to push through the people to get to our table at the back of the pub...but I guess that's normal for a popular pub on a Saturday night. Our waitress was very nice & attentive. She didn't even complain when we had to change 2 orders (oh the joys of letting the kids decide what they want :P ) out of 8 after she took our orders. It took another 30 mins or so for the food to come out, but again...that's normal. My family order 2 Colorado Buffalo Burger (one w/ Sweet Potato Fries & another one with salad) with sautéed mushroom & onion, Pan Seared Rocky Mountain Trout, and the Mac & cheese. We were very happy to see the portion size, it was quite big! Even the macaroni & cheese dish from kids' menu was big. We enjoyed our meals and time very much here. Will definitely go back if we are in Aspen again.

Evan was a great server. I’m giving it 3 stars due to my Red Onion burger being nothing to brag about. I’ve had tastier burgers at Five Guys. The fries I got were good. My wife’s pulled pork sandwich was much better than my burger. She got a salad as a side which was delicious.
Chuck L — Google review
Aside from being a historic place with a great and wild history (you can still see a bullet hole in the bar from the days of the old West) the Red Onion also serves great food. And their selection of Beers and Wines ain’t bad either.

We were a group of 7 and we had a great time. Our server was really good and attentive. Food came out quick and hot. I had the Elk Bolognese pappardelle and it was really good. I'd get it again :)

Ended up going there twice during my visit because I liked the black bean burger so much. This vegetarian burger with guacamole is so good. The first time I got it with sweet potato fries which were okay and the second time I got it with the salad. However, I had forgotten to ask whether the salad was vegetarian, I just foolishly assumed a salad would be vegetarian but it ended up coming with bacon bits in it. It was my fault for not checking before ordering but still our waitress was nice enough to offer to bring me something else and then not charge us for the salad in the bill. Both times we were there we received friendly service.

Nestled in the heart of Aspen, The St. Regis Aspen Resort offers a luxurious experience with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The resort is home to RAKxa Wellness Spa, where guests can indulge in decadent spa treatments and immerse themselves in a tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, visitors can enjoy fine dining at the Colorado-centric Velvet Buck restaurant and unwind at the Mountain Social Bar & Lounge, featuring a captivating mural reminiscent of Maxfield Parrish's famous artwork.
My massage therapist Jacob was absolutely incredible. Best massage of my life, and I’ve had plenty all over the world. I have super tense shoulders and Jacob really took the time to understand my concerns and he worked absolute magic on my shoulders, applying medicinal massage techniques and he even showed me exercises I can do at home to continue getting relief and release that tension. On top of all that he was incredibly kind and easy to talk to, making me feel so well taken care of the whole 90 minutes. The rest of the spa is alright. It’s not worth spending the $75 entrance fee (yes, even as a hotel guest you have to pay) because there isn’t even a sauna, but the staff was very friendly and incredibly attentive. The oxygen at 11000ft sure is nice to enjoy for a few hours. But it truly was my experience with Jacob that made the whole spa day.
Amanda D — Google review
This was, unfortunately, one of the worst spa experiences my fiancé and I have ever had (and we've been to spas around the world). We booked massages and looked forward to using the facilities, but the overall atmosphere was far from relaxing. The new “oxygen lounge” was attractive, but it seemed to take space away from amenities that matter most. There was no sauna and very limited co-ed options, which left the facilities feeling underwhelming for a luxury destination like Aspen. On top of that, the hot tub was out of order in the women's locker room, and no day-pass credit or alternative was offered to make up for it. We were offered Marriott points when we submitted our experience to the hotel, which we appreciated, but the spa should have been more proactive. The massages were also disappointing. There was little technique or pressure, leaving the experience below even a basic chain spa. My fiancé opted for a CBD oil add-on, and he described the massage as basically just rubbing in lotion. For a property carrying the St. Regis name, the quality should be much higher. The hotel itself was wonderful and the service elsewhere was excellent, but the spa fell far short of expectations. With more thoughtful amenities, working facilities, and stronger therapists, it could live up to the standard guests expect here.
Jasmine M — Google review
I absolutely loved this place. I had an amazing Polish masseuse (I’ll find out her name, she had blonde hair) who gave me an amazing facial. I come from Long Island New York and we don’t have anything even remotely close to the quality or even of this oasis. I actually fell asleep for 10 minutes as she gave me a facial. Wow amazing! My face never looked better. It was smooth, relaxed, I could not believe how good I looked. It actually looked like I had surgery done on my face! The hot tub, the waterfall spa pool, everything there was just so amazing. If you go to Aspen, this is the place you have to go for a facial or a massage. Thank you again ♥️❄️🎄 🐇🎿

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Aspen! Every single staff member made our stay so special! Here is a few special things to enjoy. The list is huge so we narrowed it down 1: Meet Kitty! He is the resort dog and just a love! 2: Check out the Sabrage everyday in the courtyard at 4pm! 3: The bar/lounge is a great place to relax and grab a bite! The chicken soup and the carbonara are THE BEST!!!! Don’t forget the warm chocolate chip and hazelnut cookies for dessert! 4: The bar has a HUGE selection of high end whiskey, tequila, and scotch! This is not to be missed! 4: Check out the other restaurants at the resort! They all have amazing and delicious menus! Thank you St Regis for making our stay amazing!
Carman C — Google review
This place has changed names a few times but continues to be excellent. A great change they made recently was to the relaxation area, where they more than doubled the size of the seating areas and where you can take advantage of the oxygen amenity, before or after your treatment (or both :) )
Olivia P — Google review
Extremely disappointed, my masseuse, name John, was sneezing all the time, he’s sick and not able to work with people. Massage was bad. He walked around me more time that he gave me a treatment. I’ve got water in my eyes in hot tub, my eyes were hurt for another 2 hours Waterfall outside was freezing, no people there.
