It's our second visit, and we were very happy with the food and friendly staff. Chicken breast with grilled vegetables, pork knuckle, 2 beers and homemade lemonade were very good, and we paid just 34 euro for our dinner. I could not finish my meal so asked to pack the leftovers with me, which was made, so I could enjoy my chicken and veggies later. Best wishes to the chef and the team!

It is a very nice little modern restaurant with traditional cuisine and a good selection of beers. Lots of craft beers. Good service that is very attentive. Would come back again. The food was very tasty.

Really legit place for a beer and traditional Czech food. I sat upstairs. The waitress was awesome. She was super friendly and had authentic smile. She even wrote down the ingredients for the potatoe salad for me. Ohh the potato salad, sooo delicious! The fried pork was also spot on. I ordered two beers, the dubbel and Benedict 12, I preferred the Benedict 12 🤌🏼 Went here after seeing on Anthony Bourdain, I was not disappointed.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. We wanted somewhere to try local food and this place did not disappoint. The staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and it was an affordable price. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Czech homemade food with craft beer options. It’s a good option for lunch and for beer fanatics. Not touristic and not pretentious. The food portions are not large and my dish was lacking salt. My friend that joined me for lunch also did not find anything special, but we thought it was a valid experience.

If only I could give 10 stars! My daughter recommended U Kroka. So happy I finally got to visit! I’ve been lucky to have a lot of great meals. This was the best i can remember. Really. Let me put it this way, it started with a dill, MUSHROOM & potato soup that was ridiculous.. I hate mushrooms, never ate them, always avoided them. This (kulajda) was unbelievable. And, yes i ate every bit, including all the mushrooms! Main course, wild boar loin, bacon stuffing, sweet potato puree, sea buckthorn (amazing little sweet berries), cabbage, rosehip (another great berry) sauce. The service was perfect! If ever in Prague - go here!

My wife and I were looking for authentic Czech cuisine in Prague, and U KROKA absolutely delivered! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating — even though I had mistakenly booked our reservation for the wrong date and the restaurant was fully booked, they still managed to find us a table. That level of kindness and hospitality really set the tone for a wonderful evening. We tried several traditional dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. The Prague ham with Olomouc curd cheese foam and apple gel was a perfect starter — delicate and flavorful. The Svíčková was rich and comforting, the beef goulash hearty and satisfying, and the dessert, cake žemlovka, was a delightful surprise with its mix of apples, cream cheese, white chocolate, and apple sorbet. I had a crisp Pilsner beer that paired beautifully with the meal, while my wife enjoyed a refreshing mango lemonade. The menu is varied, so there’s something for everyone, and most of the staff speaks English, which makes it easy for non-Czech speakers to feel welcome and understood. Highly recommend U KROKA for anyone wanting a genuine taste of Czech cuisine with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our last day in Prague but before heading to the airport we thought we would visit the fortress. We also hadn't yet had the national dish of Svickova so googled the best in Prague and UKroka came up. What am amazing place. It's right at the foot of the steps of the fortress so very handy if you're visiting. As soon as we walked in the staff were super helpful and even took our luggage and locked it out the back for us. The food was absolutely beautiful and the Svickova was stunning so if you're looking for the best then look no further.

The duck arrives with a glossy skin and fall-apart tenderness, sitting proudly among dumplings that behave like tiny sponges for all that glorious gravy. And the soups, easily the show-stealers, come in two personalities. The smoked garlic soup hits you first with aroma, then with depth. It’s earthy, comforting, and almost rustic in its honesty. Good food and friendly staff. The pumpkin soup was excellent and the goulash well prepared. It’s very busy and quite noisy, and the service felt rushed - I was asked about dessert and coffee before I’d even finished my drink. A good place overall, but not ideal if you want a calm, relaxed meal.

I absolutely loved their svickova and gulas — they were very delicious and tasty. They were also much better than Lokal’s dishes which I think were more on the salty side. U Kroka’s menu prices are higher but it may be worth it. However, be cautious when you come here! Their servers tend to have a predatory behaviour when it comes to getting tips from tourists. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

Cannot fault U Kroka for anything; warm, friendly service, the staff allow space but inquire appropriately during meal, beautifully presented tasty dishes, and wonderfully thoughtful menu with good drinks selection. Staff are especially delightful. Highly recommend.

Very flavourful sausages served with bread and mustard. There’s a convenient screen outside the shop where you can order. There’s limited space, but we were able to get a seat outside. If we had stayed in Prague for longer we would have loved to come back and tried some of the other dishes, like the burger or pastrami sandwich.

Came here twice during our two week stay in Prague. Both times, we took home meats to cook at home, and the cuts were the best. Recommend the cheeseburger, pastrami sandwich, and the Prague ham. The staff are kind and helpful.

One of the best sandwiches we ever had!! Amazing! They are well organised: you can order from a tablet outside the shop and wait for the employees to call your order. We took the sandwich with Prague ham...OMG. 100% tasty!

The absolute TOP when it comes to burgers. The meat is incredibly tender. All the ingredients are very fresh. Orders can be placed at the cash register or through the machine outside the restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the place is small, so there's not always a place to sit.

Easy to order by Kiosk! I tried Cheese burger and Pastrami sandwich. I prefer Pastrami:-) If not a big fan of rare, it could be hard to eat because the patty of burger was rare or more like blue rare:-) if patty is like medium rare, it would be much better! It’s dog friendly! It was already famous for Koreans so you can find the Korean language there. Staffs are very kind!

The food here is great, it's definitely worth a visit. We dined on the meatloaf, had a burger and also a pastrami sandwich. All were excellent. For the portion sizes it's very expensive - even for Prague - and prices definitely seem to have increased over the past few years as the place has made a name for itself... Would recommend but make sure to be mentally prepared for the prices.

This place sells great sandwiches! We had been recommended this place by a few people and we're not let down. You can go inside and order from the counter, or use the kiosk outside to select and pay for your meal. When your order is ready, they'll call your number and bring your food to you. There are some tables inside and several counters outside to eat your food. The ham sandwich was incredible and the meatloaf sandwich was really good. I got a little bit of food jealousy looking at the burgers too.

What a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was outstanding, truly 5 stars. The blond lady who welcomed us (I wish I remembered her name!) was so kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. You can really feel the warmth and professionalism here. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Prague and want great food with excellent service!

My honest review about this place is that it is special but the ribs are not as tasty as they look. 🍖 The friend onion was exceptional and huge!! The BBQ ribs were not tasty. Don’t get me wrong. It was not tasting bad. But it was not cooked as long as a perfect ribs should be cooked for sure. 🙋🏻‍♂️ The staff were very attentive and nice. ⏰ I didn’t have reservation and waited for around 10 mins to get a table. So reservations recommended. It was a great experience btw🤞🏻

We really enjoyed our meal - our first in Prague. Would happily come back, but of course we want to try other dishes from different places. It was at dinner and we didn't have a reservation, fortunately there was an available table near the bar. The music was nice and the server was friendly. We got 2 types of ribs (500g each), french fries with truffle sauce, and the battered friend onion. And we liked everything. I also got the homemade raspberry lemonade and it was very refreshing - not too sweet which I like. The only thing I wish was different was the lighting. I’d recommend booking. At 17:45 on a Thursday they were fully booked but I was able to sit in the passage at the entrance, which was pretty draughty. Was strange as there was a guy outside encouraging people to go in only for them to be told there was no space. The girl greeting was a bit gruff but waiters were nice if a little difficult to get their attention. I got the honey ribs and fries and the food arrived in about a minute. Meat was cooked well, not quite falling off the bone but almost there. It needed the extra sauce provided. Fries were nice and a good portion. Was more a 3.5 for my experience but I went with 4 as that’s what it would be if I wasn’t in the passage.

The BEST RIBS I've ever had! We ordered the pork knuckle (natural) and BBQ ribs (500g). Both dishes were super flavorful, crispy, and delicious. Service is extremely fast, friendly, and attentive. We were fortunate enough to be seated quickly even without a reservation, but there was a line that quickly formed behind us after we got there. After we were seated, we quickly got our menus and the server came back after we were ready to order. Regarding allergies, they don't use peanuts or tree nuts in their meat dishes (there may be some desserts or salads with tree nuts), but the waiter pointed out which dishes to avoid. I would 100% go back and encourage everyone else to check it out and order the ribs!!

The food is mediocre at best. If you are a ribs enthusiast this is not the place for you sadly. The ribs are grilled and smother in whatever sauce you choose and that’s it. They are not tender, they do not fall of the bone, the sauce just sits in top of them. The french fries were okay I guess. The service was good, the waiters were attentive, but inside is very loud and echoing. Maybe if the ribs were “the best in prague” it was worth it, but they are not good at all.

A very authentic place with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The food and beer were excellent, and the whole experience felt genuinely local. It’s definitely on our list to visit again when we return to Prague. Just sad we couldn’t sit on the terrace anymore.

If you like historical buildings and authentic old Prague atmosphere, U Fleků is definitely worth a visit. The vibe of the place is unique and really impressive. I would especially recommend it to people who enjoy history, as the interior feels like stepping back in time. However, the place truly comes alive only after 8 PM, when the accordion player arrives. Before that, it feels more quiet and intimate, almost like a smaller tavern rather than a buzzing beer hall. The beer itself was good – nothing to complain about. It was served quickly and frequently, so your glass never stayed empty for long. It’s their own dark lager, and it definitely matches the reputation of a traditional Czech beer. When it comes to food, I would call it average, especially considering the price. There is nothing particularly special about it – very typical Czech meals that you can easily find in many other pubs across Prague, often 30% cheaper and in some cases even tastier. It feels like the kitchen doesn’t put too much focus on quality, knowing that the majority of visitors are tourists who won’t have very high standards. For tourists, I would still recommend coming here once. The restaurant halls themselves are an experience, the beer is enjoyable, and if you catch the live music, the atmosphere can be really fun. My advice would be to maybe just stick with cold snacks or something small to pair with the beer, but have your main meal somewhere else where the price isn’t so “touristic” and the food quality is higher. Personally, I’ve been here around three times already, and I don’t see a reason to return again. I feel like I’ve tried enough, and it simply didn’t convince me to become a regular. Even the 0.4l beer at 90 CZK feels overpriced, despite being good. Overall, it’s a place worth experiencing once for the history and atmosphere, but not somewhere I would keep coming back to.

Would definitely recommend to come for the atmosphere - very fun with live music! 🥰 Dark beer has some chocolate notes to me, delicious and not bitter at all. They also offer variety of delicious digestives. Food is delicious and a little old-fashioned, as it should be for such a place! Also fun waiters, but had to ask for an additional beer 3 times.

They were in a hurry since the kitchen was closing at 21:45, nowhere specified, just written 23 in general… and gave the menù telling us “just the main dishes (4 at that moment) are available”. A waiter comes around with a tray of homemade beers offering you some, and then your order is written manually on a piece of paper and left on the table. Everything okay so far, despite the limited dishes offered at 21:45, until it comes to the check… which couldn’t been split (between us friends) if you choose to pay with the card..! Just cash for split checks the waiter said. Plus they said at the moment of paying (not earlier) that the tip of 10% is included in the check. What a pity for this kind of service since the food and homemade beer were excellent on the other hand. I suggest to improve the atmosphere inside the staff.

Good traditional food at reasonable prices served at lightening speeds. Beer selection is limited but delivered before you can finish your current glass. Traditional music being played live all day long. Highly recommend a visit.

The food was good. The service was Okie. We ordered a beer. It was tasty and of course it comes with lot of foam. The biggest trap was this honey shots. A guy comes and just places it on your table and He keeps doing it until you tell him to stop. It was my wife’s birthday. After eating the most expensive food and drinks. At the end I asked the guy. It’s the birthday celebration give a shot. He totally rejected it. Then while paying the person directly out 20% tip. I said no. He was like I will make 15%. I told you know what. NO tip at all. He was so pissed and started asking why ?! What’s wrong. I told the service is wrong. Then I paid and he handed over the receipt being super unfriendly.. So there are tons of good restaurants out in Prague authentic… AVOID going here if you want good service.

A very colorful place. You can enjoy Czech cuisine and beer from your own brewer, listening to local musicians a lot of visitors to tourists and locals. You should definitely visit this restaurant

The restaurant sure lives up to its high reputation. Reserve your table ahead of time - they are often booked out a few days in advance. Service was very professional and highly accommodating. Timing of the dishes was also perfect. I ordered the stuffed quail as a starter - absolutely incredible, tender, juicy, beautifully seasoned. Kulajda - traditional Czech creamy soup with potatoes, dill and a poached egg - beyond delicious. Lastly, the braised veal cheeks were out of this world. Try to pair the dishes with some wonderful wine from the Moravia region - both the Chardonnay and their Pinot Noir went well with the above dishes.

Service was very nice but a little slow. We tried the beetroot salad, butter chicken and paupiette. Everything was great! For dessert the creme brule. We had an apricot aperitivo but too strong for us, if you like strong alcohol got for it. The place was really nice and ambient cool for lunch. Would want to go back and try the breakfast.

Iconic restaurant The amazing design brings you back to a very early 20th century, could just sit and survey all the surroundings for hours. Service is impeccable, very professional, extremely efficient and super friendly. The food was absolutely incredible, every element cooked to perfection. Very high quality produce. Great selection of drinks and desserts. For the quality, service and atmosphere the prices are very reasonable. Absolutely must visit. Book in advance.

Oh wow! We ate dinner here twice. The space is stunning-large white tiles on soaring columns. Service is excellent. Vito was our server tonight, and was knowledgeable and friendly. He taught me how to read the allergy codes for the desserts (the Scilia raspberry cake--GF and wonderful. The venison and rabbit were A+++, but my beet salad was A- for too much goat cheese...4 thick baked discs...and too few beets. I loved their wines by glass. Try the Marovia Zweigelt Rose or the Gewurztraminer. Wonderful wines. The primitivo was very good. One of my favorite restayrants in the world.

Beautiful art deco interiors and excellent service. The mood at this restaurant is very nice and uplifting. The vegetarian truffle gnocchi was absolutely delicious - was surprised by how delightful it was as the rest of the menu is quite meat heavy. Large variety of Czech specialities too! Also tried and recommend the French onion soup and rabbit croquettes.

Rich, deeply flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of indulgence - it instantly transported me to Paris, rivaling even my most beloved French version. For my main, I chose the hanger steak cooked rare, and it was executed with impeccable precision - perfectly tender and beautifully presented. I couldn't resist sampling my friend's duck as well - served with pillowy potato dumplings and vibrant red cabbage. It was a harmonious balance of textures and flavors, and every bite made me wish I had ordered it, too. Consistently delicious food paired with timeless charm - Café Imperial continues to impress. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Quite delicious, quite fancy for quite cheap Roasted quail with truffle stuffing was so tender and with such a strong dark sauce, but truffle did not come through at all. I love a sauce that dares to be pungent. The quail nearly fused with the stuffing, so smooth and supple. The desserts all looked amazing but lacked a bit of texture contrast. It was all kinda the same mush texture lol... Flavour wise great tho.

The service was excellent. Even on a packed summer Saturday, we were seated immediately and the staff were attentive without rushing us. We ordered food and drinks together and were impressed by the speed; everything arrived in about five minutes, including dessert. We tried the beef goulash with dumplings and the pork shoulder. Both dishes were decent, though the meat was dry. For dessert, the cheesecake was mixed: the filling was nice, but the base was just plain sponge with too much of it, and the mandarin pieces made it overly sweet.

We were recommended this place from a friend. We got there and there was a big line but we were seating relatively fast. The menu was simple which we liked. We got omelettes with emmental cheese, duck pate, avocado toast, and a fruit salad. (We are big backs). The service was great. The waiters were friendly and helpful with the menu. After our food we played a game of pool as well. Really interesting cafe, would definitely come back next time I am in Prague.

Amazing food, ordered the beef goulash with Carlsbad (bread) dumplings and a home made lemonade. 2 mins later, food arrived, and it was sublime! Also had apple strudel and apple meringue pie, both were out of this world. Can't recommend Cafe Louvre enough for traditional Czech food and spectacular service!

This cafe is very popular at the minute snd you can tell as we had to wait about 30 mintues for a table. It was very overpriced. We only had a hot chocolate, it was ok but nothing spectacular. The food was traditional and did look pleasant, however not much choice for those with allergies. The service was nothing to write home about, at times they were quite rude.

The waiter here was super nice and chill. The portion sizes of the food were large. I ordered the Pork Knee roasted in black beer, and couldn't eat it alone even though I am a big eater. It's better to share with your friends and family.

Goulash was like a stew; the meat was really well done. The bread was great ! Can t complain. However , the spiced pickled Brie we ordered before it , had absolutely nothing special. It had too much oil for any taste and it does not deserve a place in the menu. The atmosphere was nice, I recommend this place for the goulash.

My partner and I waited in like for 30-40 mins on a Sunday night - was hoping it was worth it.. had some good Czech food but it like it was from the community era when we were served toast back. Cheese was drenched in sauce - was not good. Overall not worth the wait if they can’t even serve some biscuits.

We tried the beef goulash and the creamy chicken breast, with garlic bread and potato chips on the side. The portions were generous and very reasonably priced — just remember they only take cash, so make sure to have some on hand. The goulash was a great portion size with tender meat and excellent flavor. The chicken was tasty as well, though a bit salty, with creamy spinach underneath. It would have been nice to have the option of extra vegetables, as the choices available were mainly roasted peppers and courgette. The seating wasn’t the most comfortable (we were on the back bench along the wall), but overall, it was a lovely spot and a great little find.

Lovely place just off Wenceslas square, but a little tucked away. Very nice food and some no nonsense service. Would 100% recommend if you're looking for some authentic Czech food and solid customer service. We had the beef cheeks and potato dumplings, which were proper rib stickers!

Thr goulash was very good, but more of a stew, not a soup; either way, great flavours, great taste, would definetly eat again. As a starter, i have ordered spiced pickle brie, the spiced pickle brie was not pickled, was just a plain brie (did not really tasted as a brie) drenched in oil with some spices and onion on top. My rating is based on the 5 out of 5 goulash and 2/3 out of 5 brie.

A traditional Czech restaurant and one of the most popular in the city, with prices to match. A reservation is recommended as it gets very busy, and consequently quite noisy. The staff was polite and helpful in finding me a table even though I hadn’t booked. The appetizer was suggested by the waitress, though personally I didn’t enjoy it. The schnitzel, however, was very tasty, as were the sweet potatoes served with a uniquely flavored sauce.

Honestly, not more than 3 stars for me. The place was very crowded and the ambience just wasn’t it. The staff were professional but not particularly warm, only the guy who served the food was friendly. We tried the goulash, schnitzel, and the cheese breaded like mozzarella sticks (but in a big size). Everything was okay, quite average overall. The only special thing I really enjoyed was the raspberry beer, which was actually pretty good and refreshing. Otherwise, not a place I’d rush back to.

This is a large boisterous beer hall serving up hearty traditional meals and of course beer. I had the boar and my wife had the schnitzel. Both meals were very good. Reservations for dinner were recommended but we decided to go and try to get a table as we just arrived in the city. We didn't have to wait too long and were seated next to a couple of different travelers who we enjoyed chatting with. Service was fast and efficient.

We dined here for the first time and absolutely loved the experience. This place served the best dark Kozel beer we’ve had. The beef was cooked to perfection, the Prague ham was full of flavor, and the garlic soup was outstanding. I visited this restaurant last night, and overall, it offers a nice experience with authentic Czech food. The venue itself is pleasant, with a comfortable atmosphere and a convenient location that’s easy to reach. The food was good and tasted quite authentic, though not exceptional, but still enjoyable and worth trying. Unfortunately, the service could be improved. Even though many tables were empty, we had to wait a surprisingly long time before being seated and served. What made the experience less pleasant was the bartender’s attitude while we were waiting for our table. He seemed irritated and almost shouted at us as we tried to look at the drink menu, insisting we move away from the bar, even though the place was far from crowded. Overall, it’s a decent spot for authentic Czech cuisine, but the staff’s behavior and slow service take away from what could have been a much nicer experience.

We came for dinner on Friday, the restaurant was packed. Luckily we don't have to wait since we made a reservation. The waiter was nice. The teas we ordered was nicely presented and tea good. Then we waited quite long for our beef goulash & piglet. Overall everything taste good.

A pleasant atmosphere, good food, but not the best treatement, I DON’T recommend. First, I ordered the creamy steak, and the portion was really small, just one slice of meat. I had a hard time to be full, but if my father had ordered the same thing, I think he would have needed three plates to be full. Apart from that, we were two 23-year-olds in the restaurant, so the average age was a bit older than us. But the biggest difference was the waiter's attitude. The waiter, who chatted and joked with every other table, was quite cold when it was our turn. When most customers called, he went straight to them but when it came to us, he always asked for a minute, they always had a priority.. When we decided to leave and asked for the bill, the same thing happened. After being asked for a minute, he first reviewed the table in front's order, then he went to ask if they had any other requests, then digitized the requests, then the adjacent table's order was taken, and then we were finally able to get our bill. When the bill arrived, we were ready to pay and said we would pay cash, but the waiter disappeared again. When he came back, we paid 1500 crowns to a 1428 crown account, and after all the poor service we received, he said nothing but “something back”, so he did not even make the effort to ask us properly if we wanted to leave a tip. When we said yes, because we weren't happy with the service that we NEVER got, he continued with “Service is not included in the price”. We really wanted to say “yes we realized”. It was extremely uncomfortable to be so hard-pressed to tip for service we hadn't even received. In short, the food was good, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Came here as top rated. Luckily bagged a seat despite not booking so ensure you plan ahead & book in advance BUT should you be walking past, do stick your head in &: enquire on availability. Food, beer, wine, service, decor & atmosphere were all superbly fantastic, made extra special by the wonderful Teresa & all the staff at Mincovn. Definitely recommend🇨🇿💯👍 Definitely re-attend if ever back Prague way. Thank you Tereza & everyone for allowing us to have such a magically special time in Prague.

Excellent, but unpretentious restaurant in the heart of Prague. They have creative takes on Czech classics. The guinea fowl was exceptional. The svičkova wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was still very good and the sauce was very flavorful. One of the appetizers with potatoes and truffle was lovely and unique. Prices are min-range, but the service was very helpful and friendly. Salads were also very good and the portions were enormous.

We had a nice time there. The food were so delicious. The staff were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant is in the heart of Prague.

Food was amazing, especially the duck with caramelized onion. The desserts were great, we had a tradional desert with cheese, prunes and poppy seeds, and a cream caramel with whiped cream. Not too sweet, just perfect. Employees are very polite and friendly.

Svíčková na smetaně (beef in cream sauce) was great. I used up all the extra sauce with the accompanying dumplings. I also really liked their raspberry lemonade. Too bad their bathroom uses such intolerably strong fragrances. Between the bathroom and the smokers right outside the open entrance, the air quality was pretty bad.

As you can see in the photos, the atmosphere of this restaurant is very warm, friendly, and inviting. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and if you need any help, they’re quick to assist with a smile. The food here is focused on traditional Czech cuisine. We tried two local dishes (photos included), and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were mild and not overly spiced, which makes them a great option even for those who prefer simpler or more classic tastes. The local beers were also a highlight. We ordered two types of light beer, and both were refreshing and full of flavor. As for the prices, they were very reasonable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Best to make reservations. I was dining solo and there is a bigger table for sharing. Service is good, people are friendly. Menu is multiple languages but would be best if there are photos since I’m unfamiliar with the food. I’m not sure how to describe the food, I would go with normal. I had the Moravian roast pork. I don’t find anything special about the taste. Then again since I’m unfamiliar with Czech cuisine I can’t truly comment and give it a verdict.

We visited in the late afternoon and found a good variety of choices on the menu. We ordered the traditional goulash and onion soup. Since we were in a hurry, we asked if the food could be served quickly, and the waiter was very accommodating—everything arrived within 10 minutes. The onion soup had a nice flavor, though it tasted more like tomato soup with some onions inside. The goulash was served a bit cold and the taste was just average, nothing particularly special. Overall, the highlight of our visit was the excellent service from the waiter, who deserves most of the credit for making our short stop enjoyable.

I reccomend if you would like to try local food. We had Parlament goulash with dumpling and it was sooo delicious. The beer was also really good! Upon our arrival the tables were full, but within 10 minutes the table was available.

The food is so good, ate here twice while I was in Prague. The chicken schnitzel and the traditional Czech dish svíčková were the stars. The waitstaff was so nice, especially Tomas, he helped me both times!

Here 7/21/25 for early dinner after a long walking tour. We had pig knuckle which was delicious and has pickled onions and peppers which was so good. Better than the one in Bratislava. The beef goulash had bread dumplings that were shaped like bread slices which was cool. I enjoyed it and I liked the sauce. Tomas our waiter was great and looked out for the details. We appreciated this. Sat at the window inside as we wanted to beat the rain and did. They had fresh urquell on tap which my husband enjoyed. The menu is in Czech, English, Spanish and German. Imagine a place that wants to be nice and inclusive. We truly enjoyed the meal and it was a lovely fun experience eating Czech food.

Friendly service and reasonable prices. The food was delicious! We got the pork knuckle (enough to feed two if you get another side) and the roast pork with cabbage. Both were really good and very hearty!

I tried fried pork knuckle for the very first time here, and it was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly though he modestly apologized for his English, he explained the menu and guided us through the food and drink choices wonderfully. Pod Vezi is an absolute treasure! Dining here was the highlight of our trip to Prague. First, the food: the local Czech dishes are extremely delicious—we tried the goulash and the svíčková, and both were authentic, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with pride. It was true comfort food at its finest. Secondly, the staff deserve huge praise. Our waiters were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and warm. They made excellent recommendations and ensured every part of our meal was perfect, making us feel completely at home. Finally, the location is just perfect. Situated right by the Charles Bridge Tower, the setting adds such a magical, romantic atmosphere to the dining experience. I normally avoid hotel restaurants but this place was excellent. Didn’t book but they managed to accommodate us. Steak was amazing and perfectly cooked to our request.

We've had lunch here twice on our three-day trip to Prague. The food is delicious, the place very clean and the service staff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, especially the goulash soup on the lunch menu, the ribs and the 6-snail starter.

The place has an old fashioned service style, a little bit too formal. The food was very delicious, we didn’t planned to have lunch there and we got there by chance, it was a pleasant discovery. Beer was good as well. I recommend booking, we got a table for two because someone had just cancelled otherwise it would have been fully booked.

Located right at the Charles Bridge exit (if coming from Old Town) with outstanding quality of food.. their Ribs were worth talking about even after the vacation has ended. Highly recommended spot for lunch or dinner.. good ambiance.

Went in here for lunch at 12 oclock. Very quiet but really nicely laid out with the feel of a German Beer Keller. There's a few tables outside but it's very busy so opted for inside. The wife had Cherry Beer and I opted for a Chocolate beer. There was so much selection. We are here and had Goulash with bread dumplings and sizzling sausages with trimmings. Got to say I love hot horseradish sauce. I tried a dark ale afterwards and it didn't disappoint. There is a long menu but beware, some are really strong. I can imagine it's boisterous in the evening.

Based on other reviews thought we would stop for a beer flight and something to eat. Packed full of noisy tourists and no flights available. Hard to understand the server as to why however he was was quick to point out that service was not included when we paid for a beer and wine. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Went for a quiet lunch and beer. Did the typical tourist thing and had goulash soup in a loaf. 30 beers on tap and went for an unfiltered wheat beer which to be honest was phenomenal.

We got there really excited to try the beers. We couldn't order anything because they only accept cash. Who carrys cash around these days?

This restaurant has so much potential risk, if only handled properly. Getting a table was a very chaotic experience since they didn’t have clear signs on where to stand in line. They take a while to order your food since there are too many patrons. They messed up our food order twice. The food was very salty, no flavor aside from that. We got the beef goulash bread bowl, which was very hard. The only good parts of the meal were the cappuccino and the chocolate- cinnamon pancake. Everything else was below average. I am surprised that they had such good reviews.

Amazing Czech restaurant! We loved the pork knuckle and Svíčková here. We tried both dishes in a few other restaurants and found the taste and portion to be best here. My kids loved the fried cheese and schnitzel (both chicken and pork were good). The food was so good here that we had to come back for the second time before we leave Prague. The restaurant is lively and busy. Make reservations ahead of time so that you don’t end up waiting in line!

The food is amazing, try the pork knuckle or svickova, it was absolutely amazing. Throw on some fried cheese and some Pilsner and you'll be so full and satisfied, guaranteed. Service can be slower because the place is so busy. Get reservations or you'll end up in 45 feet of lineups outside with many others eagerly waiting their turn (still worth it!) highly recommended for authentic Czech food!

We didn't have reservation but they found a table for four of us. Place was clearly very busy and they were super accommodating. We had goulas in bread and pork shanks. Atmosphere was amazing We were in basement 2 stories under. Service and food was amazing.

I could literally not review this place. They deserve a 10 out of 10. The place, the food, the service, everything was spectacular. It's very favorably located and even so NOT a tourist trap. I can highly recommend the roasted chicken that you see in my pictures.

It was the perfect experience. Gulash, bohemian beef and roasted duck with red cabbage everything was 10/10. Well done! Just do the reservation because the line is 10 m outside of the restaurant 👌

Quite an average restaurant. We had only a few appetizers with beers. The pork was significantly delayed even after reminding and service overall requires a good improvement. Most beers are really good quality and rich in taste, however just after getting the last order the staff started to kick out the people saying they are closing already, by placing the chairs on the table in front of you and asking to pay immediately at the bar. That looks really strange, like forcing people to finish beer fast or leave the place.

We went there to eat lunch at around 1 pm without reservation and got a seat instantly. It was a warm day and the Restaurant was nicely cooled inside. There is also an option to sit outside. Our server martin was very nice and attentive. He checked up on us a few times and was always making sure everything is fine. The food was delicious and the waiting time was quite short. We ordered the classic beef goulash, chicken breast with grilled vegetables and their set of beer samples. We totally recommend ordering one of those! Additionally, they have an english menu and all of their staff speak great english.

Great and modern looking pub in Prague. We had to reserve a table pretty late in the evening because of our flight, but the staff was super friendly and helpful nevertheless. We all got the traditional goulash dish except for my girlfriend who got the vegetarian option, gnocchi with mushrooms, parmesan and caramelised onions. When it comes to the beer menu they have a pretty good selection, and we got a mix of light and dark lager all very tasty.

This place was recommended to me by a local friend during my visit to Prague, and she made sure I wouldn’t miss one of the nice spots to try Czech beer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and spoke English. This is one of my favorite breweries in magical Prague, which is located a little away from the crowded tourist center. They always have a good selection of beer and very tasty food. I especially like their duck leg. This establishment also has very friendly staff.

Dining at Terasa U Zlaté Studně was an unforgettable experience, combining spectacular views with phenomenal cuisine. The outdoor terrace is easily one of the most breathtaking spots in Prague — a panoramic sweep of the city skyline with Prague Castle rising majestically in the background. The food more than matched the setting. The Angus steak was perfectly prepared, tender and bursting with flavour. The lobster bisque, delicately accented with caviar, was rich yet refined. The beef tartare was balanced, fresh, and beautifully presented, while the chocolate mousse with cherries was a masterpiece — indulgent yet elegant. The wine was outstanding, service was warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing, making the entire evening seamless. For anyone seeking phenomenal food and wine, and the most stunning terrace views in Prague, this is simply perfection.

Firstly, this was booked as a surprise meal for my birthday from my boyfriend and he succeeded in finding a beautiful gem on our trip. The atmosphere, service and surroundings of the terrace was fantastic! Partner this with the impeccable service standard of the staff there! This is truly a must go to for any occasion! The food was fantastic and if I could rate it more than 5* I would! And I want to thank the entire kitchen and front of house staff for making my birthday super special on this trip to Prague!

This place is really chill. You can enjoy your time as much as you can just sitting and trying some small dishes with your drink. The prices are really good comparing to the other restaurants. I absolutely love it here (so much I immediately went back the next day). On the first day I ordered their goulash, on the second their pork with dumplings and may I say both were delicious. The mixed cabbage was interestingly my highlight (im a suckered for a good cabbage dish) and I would be happy to eat it on its own. Also the dishes are very well prices costing about €12 each which is incredibly reasonable for great portions. Service was friendly each time and food arrived quickly. Can't recommend this place enough!

A solid 4* rating for a decent meal featuring typical Czech cuisine and beers. The service seemed a bit rushed at times, but that's probably their style. With so many guests and such a busy atmosphere, attention-seeking guests might feel slighted.

Great place to have tasty local food. The waiter was friendly and polite, English speaking. On arrival, go to the first floor to be seated, don't wait downstairs. No one told us to go upstairs and they let us wait for some time, hahaha.

They cheap out everything compared to other restaurants that are slightly further away from the center. Beer is 0.47 instead of 0.5. See photos, my food was a ridiculously small portion for 14 EUR. Other places gave me double portion for 10 EUR. Service is max. OK, definitely not tip-worthy experience. You can find better place, just look for less touristic one. Not planning to come back.

This place is just a 10-minute walk from my room. According to Google Maps, it opens at 10 AM, but only the bar is available at that time—the kitchen starts service at 11:30 AM. I returned at 11:30 to try their traditional cuisine pork knee. The layout seems divided into two sections: one for the kitchen and another purely for drinks. However, no one directed us where to sit, so we found ourselves standing and wandering until someone informed us that seating was open. Based on Google Maps reviews, service here doesn't seem to be excellent. My wife and I ordered traditional pork knee, fried cheese, and garlic bread. Since my wife doesn't eat pork, it ended up being quite a lot for the two of us. We absolutely loved the fried cheese: the grilled pork was tender and flavorful. We asked for a to-go box and brought the leftovers back to our room. During our lunch, the service staff were friendly and occasionally checked in with us to see if we needed any additional assistance.

We were really excited to go here - bar is in a cool alleyway but unfortunately the experience did not deliver. We tried saying hello in Cz to start off but when we asked if we could sit outside the man rudely grabbed the menu out of our hands and slapped it down, not even bothering to look at us. We ordered a Pilsner & the waiter said it is impossible to pay with card, only cash (which I find strange but fine). Paid for our beers in cash and the man in the garden area was so rude -started going off about us to the next customer while he was waiting to pay, slamming my change down on the table. If you don’t want foreigners spending money in your bar, then say Czechs only or close down. But please have some damn respect, it’s the least you can do.

This medieval tavern experience was such a fun surprise. We chose the middle option, the one that includes two drinks, the full show, and everything, and honestly we loved it. The whole experience feels like you’re stepping into a medieval cave, with candles everywhere, dark cozy corners, warm lighting, and that little winter heat that makes it even more atmospheric. The show is super interactive, so it’s definitely not for shy people, but they guide you through it in a really fun way. The food was great overall. I could have easily skipped the starters because the board was huge, with different cheeses, cold sausages and salami-style cuts, and a small salad. Good, but not the highlight. The real star is the main course. The roast chicken with barbecue ribs was amazing. The potatoes and corn were also baked and full of flavor. Everything was really tasty, but we made the rookie mistake of getting too full with the starters, so we couldn’t finish the mains. The dessert was simple but nice, little spiced cakes with a touch of anise and a bit of fruit. And the dark beer here was really good too. If this review was helpful, leave a 💛

So the whole experience is entertaining as a 14th-century adventure. The tavern is like a dungeon still and the whole vibe is medieval styled. The entertainment itself was interesting but kinda odd at times. Beer was good, the food not very typical and taste wise it fine but nothing crazy. It's needed to book in advance and we thought the only option was to get the whole package deal but turns out that there's also the option to reserve for a la carte and pay on top for the show (wish we'd known that). If you go with a large funny group of friends its an even better experience

+ very good food, not the best we had in prague, but really very good! + huuuuuge amounts of beer, the menu wrote 0.5l but he easily brought us 1l +the atmosphere is perfect, dark rooms like dungeons, nice music, armors hanging around etc - rude stuff, they want to sell "eat like in the medieval times" and they tell you stuff like "we do not have a toilet, or eat with your hands like we used to in the old days" which of course are all lies, you can get utensils if you ask again, but all this show was delivered a bit rude which seemed cheesy... one could answer back " i will pay you based on the inflation of the medieval times" and i bet they wouldnt like it... whatever Stills worths it though.

Absolutely brilliant. Love the whole ‘eat with your hands’ vibe. Extremely generous serves and very very good value. You have to try the mead. Delicious and in a period authentic (ish) goblet. Yes the staff do ‘sell you’ but others would say they are just being attentive. Service is brilliant! A must do for a visit to Prague

We went for dinner and the show in the tavern—did not stay in the hotel. It was quite an experience! We ate with our hands, had our beer slammed on the tables in front of us, watched some belly dancing, sword fighting, and fire eating! It was fun! We were HOT the entire time we were there and that show is long!! But all things you can live with when having a great time.

Decour was quite nice as a novelty however was ruined by incredibly rude service that left one member of my party crying once the server left. My friend ordered a cappuccino (something clearly ON the menu) and the server just started at them and then said “what do I look like? Starbucks?” And just made them feel terrible. Another member of our party ordered a gin and tonic, drank most of it only to have a different server come over and ask if it was good with a laugh and when she asked why he asked he said “becuase there’s no gin in it” still laughing and smiling however I think he was more nervous about a mess up than anything and reappeared moments later with another gin and tonic. The place itself is nice although incredibly dark but the service was appalling and I would recommend you stay away as it does definitely seem like somewhat of a tourist trap.

I’m not a professional gourmet, I just like traveling around and trying different food. The cuisine here I tried on 5/Sep, put aside my personal preference - I think everything is fine, and the staff all are friendly and attentive, the way they tried to convey their idea of the dish and drink were also easy to understand and at the right pitch. I don’t drink alcohol, so I ordered non-alcohol pairing, just personally I don’t like too much sweet stuff, so by the end of the course I was a bit sugar high 🤣 Thanks to their food and service, really helped me to start the trip. Visited here right after I reached Prague from Singapore.

Dined here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary whilst visiting Prague as we love Michelin cuisine when we can! Lucky to be seated next to open kitchen too. 5 Course Tasting Menu absolutely delicious with a couple surprises added too! All very professional, friendly, attentive & good humour. The Semillion exception too. Most definitely worth a visit if you can secure a reservation but need to plan ahead. Would we visit again? Yes most definitely.

This restaurant is simply amazing. The place inside is casual and sofisticated. Service is quick,professional, and very friendly. The servers are willing to interact with you and give you additional information on each dish. I recommend having the food paired with the Czech wine, it will not disappoint. I had an amazing evening.

This is a beautiful restaurant with really innovative food. We missed there being carbs and it was very protein focused which left us feeling a bit depleted the next day. I'd suggest not thinking the tasting menu will be a lot of food and eating light during the day. Leaving hungry made it feel less good value which is a shame as clearly, a lot of work goes into the meals.

We went here for a birthday dinner - we got a good service which made the occasion special. I loved the food, very unique flavors. At first I thought the servings were too small but I left the place with tummy full and happy! Thank you!

We went for diner to restaurant Degustation in Prague. Very disappointing, not worth a michilen star. Within 1h40minutes they rushed the menu at our table. And also all the other tables: everybody was finished at 20.00-20.10u, and that on a saterday evening in a michelan star restaurant! They clearly had another serving that evening. It felt like rush hour. The meals weren’t surprising, and taste wasn’t exceptional. There were no carbs in the whole menu, except for one fatty round tasteless fried ball of dough. And upon asking for some bread: there was none, that was their policy. The wines were good. For the amuses you were expected to eat with your hands, and lick the plate with your tongue. So your hands turned red because of the beetroot. And it makes you feel like a dog. Why on earth would anyone choose for that approach?! Total expierience: it was a ripoff of my time, my money and the calories. And there was no excuse at all, when we told how we’ve experienced the evening. After dinner, we’ve had some lovely glass of merlot and some cheese in our hotel

The food was absolutely delicious. The wine pairing was a standout--not just for the quality of the wines, but for the incredible storytelling by the server. He shared the origins of each wine and set clear expectations, which really elevated the experience. The ambiance was crisp and modern, and the service was top-notch. Servers were attentive, always making sure our water glasses were full and the table spotless. One thing to note: when you get the bill, there's no option to leave a tip--even though it states that service is not included. The staff won't prompt you about it either. Tried the pulled pork and was quite disappointed — it was the antidote of itself: very dry, chewy, and lacking flavor. Oddly, it cost the same as the beef, which looked much better but was also on the chewy side. For the price, I expected something far more tender and juicy. Service was fine, but the food didn’t live up to expectations. Wouldn’t return for the meat dishes.

We really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The first night we came we only tried Beef Tartar and the Bone Marrow. I loved the fresh taste of the Beef Tartar. The Bone Marrow was very fatty as it supposed to be. We were surprised by the atmosphere and the food that we decided to come here the next night. We loved the Beef Carpaccio! The Potatoes Pancakes were also good. The Duck Pate didn’t meet my expectations. The bread that came with the food was very delicious! We also tried Bread Pudding and it was okayish. However, the staffs that were serving the food wasn’t very nice. We ordered the wrong dessert but we were too intimidated to change it :(

The atmosphere is incredible. The restaurant is located in an old bank building. There are three stations where you can order different things. One is dedicated exclusively to beer. I ordered a cheeseburger, which was fantastic. One of the best I've ever had. My Czech friend recommended I also order a "sznyt" beer. This is a style of pouring beer in which most of the foam is present. It was also delicious. The restaurant is perfect for anyone who loves meat dishes.

Is was definitely a great experience to dine at Kantyna, at first I was a little worried about the language buy everyone spock English and was super helpful. I love love love the gazpacho, we have burger and was really good as well. I 100% will recommend this place and will come back when I come back to Prague.

Great casual spot right in the center of Prague, perfect if you’re eating alone — you can even stand while you enjoy your meal. They weigh your choice of meat, and you pay when you leave, which is super convenient. I went for the tri-tip, which was exceptionally tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor — absolutely worth coming back for. My friend had the beef shank, equally impressive, almost melting in the mouth with every bite. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality meat and a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere!

Cool interesting unique restaurant. one of a kind for me. You order with the butcher and they cut it up in front of you. Food is paid by the weight so very transparent there. I got the pork belly and beef roast, both were so moist, tender and flavourful. Cool atmosphere and decor. Definitely worth checking out

This place absolutely brilliant staff is very friendly and attentive, nothing is to much of a hassle ( especially when you get a silly Brit in your hands) just want to say the food was incredible please look at the pictures! Food was delicious ,packed with flavour and copious amounts of it. Classic Czech food . Great atmosphere. Credit to the staff, chefs and front of house. Excellent service. Get yourself down to this absolute gem. You would be missing out in Prague if you don’t .

We found this place by recommendation of a YT and real Prague tour guide. For a start it was nice and clean. Can't say much about the atmosphere since we were there between 4 and 5PM and I can only assume wasn't the rush hour. Service was great. The waiter answered all our questions we asked him about the food we wanted to order. Lots of them struggle with English but this one knew it pretty good. Food arrived quickly. We had garlic bread with a meat and cheese toppings, mushroom and potato soup, fried Gouda cheese, random pork meat it it's sauce with mixed dumplings and sour cabbage, beef goulash with dumplings and chicken schnitzel in breadcrumbs and mashed potato and two rounds of drinks (beers, Pepsi and ice tea). Perfect portion sizes and very tasty food. We paid just above 20€ per person. Great price for a quality and portion size.

We were introduced to Czech beer and cuisine art this restaurant. It seemed full of locals and there are at least 2 of these restaurants in town. The service was good and cordial, the beer great and the food was amazing as well.

The food was okay, but the service could be improved. It doesn’t feel good when staff insist on asking for tips, and when we said no and just asked for the bill, the attitude changed. A friendlier approach would make the experience much better.

I belive this is czech cuisine, but for me, not really my style. I think they were properly cooked but, to be completly honest, the beer was my favourite thing. The whipped cream over my main, what is that supposed to mean ? 😆 The pickled cheese was nice, the gravy was kinda flavorless, the sausage with peppers was alright, the veal tongue is never supposed to be served like that, for me, it's a special meat, needs to be cherished in a better way. Maybe it's just me not understanding local cuisine.

The service is quite fast even though the restaurant is big. They could improve the meat ratio in the Svickova portion, as it cannot be enough for a grown person. It was tasty anyway. The waiter asked for tips and we didn't like to leave some, so we got a cynic "thank you" that wasn't necessary.

A gem to find in Prague, absolutely delicious traditional Czech food, fresh lemonade to die for an 1L beers. Unlike some of the tourist traps in Prague this place I can highly recommend. Food was spectacular and service was excellent. Highly recommend the beef goulash especially!

Wow! This place is definitely worth the hype, however, be prepared to possibly wait for a seat. The service was very nice, one of the nicest in Prague. We had brunch on a day that was quite busy in the cafe, and the staff immediately told us we might have to wait a little longer for our food (30 minutes,) however we received our food in 15 minutes. The food was fantastic. So much to choose from and the shakshuka was absolutely perfect. No complaints. They have very funky drinks to choose from as well. The interior is lovely.

We ate a delicious breakfast at cafefin today! The employees were really nice and the meal where excellent! I recommend you the passion fruit homemade limonade and the shrimp toast, a real treasure !

This place is a hidden gem for a slow, quality brunch in a calm, laid-back setting. I was so looking forward to visit this place but left feeling disappointed. It was extremely crowded & noisy with screaming children and flies that wouldn't leave me alone despite the fact i was sitting inside. Even in the middle of the week, surprisingly, it was still so very crowded with too many screaming children. I got the matcha salted caramel which was very nice- mix well before you drink it, and in addition, got the hojicha latte. The hojicha flavor was good but the latte arrived lukewarm and it was disappointing. The staff is very nice and attentive despite how busy the cafe is. They speak perfect English, you can pay by card or cash. I'm really torn about what to rate this cafe. They change their menu often so it's nice if you're looking for seasonal unique drinks, but the vibe was so unpleasant that the whole experience was just not worth it unfortunately...

Turkish egg is so delicious that I would travel again to prague to have another dish. Drinks are also great. The only thing is that the place is small & you may have to eat in a hurry or share table with strangers.

More for takeouts but you can still eat in the shop though the standing-only space to eat is quite limited. Orders are processed fairly quickly and the medium-rare beef pho is good. The fried spring rolls are huge and generous in fillings.

We had many Pho from Vietnam, Singapore to Hong Kong and the soup was too salty and lack some of the spices. The best supposed to be thinly sliced and not in small clumps. Where are the noodles? My bowl had so little noodles and the bowl was tiny, that’s not how it is in Asia other then those on the streets carts. I was expecting a lot based on all the good reviews.

The food is good, but if you buy a salad with mango and shrimps you expect shrimps to be there. In this case, the shrimps are only literally four, they look eight just because they are cut in half. No other shrimps in the middle, only on top. Pity!

Only cash is accepted, no cards. There’s no toilet, and cleanliness could be much better — lots of flies and hygiene in the kitchen needs work. They also use soybean sprouts, which really don’t fit this type of cuisine. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Today i came back here after long time coz i love the food however it he behavior of rhe serving lady in a hat and prada glasses was outrageous. She was terribly rude and didn’t want to help with minimum adjustment of splitting the portion in two while paying 2 bozes was no problem for me. Done that there many times, when i asked why she didnt want to do so. she simply said no and wanted me to leave with no food. Super sad story of a lovely restaurant. Maybe u should really consider improving your customer service.

I really enjoy the atmosphere here. On days when I want to relax and take it easy, this place works perfectly, especially during spring and summer, with a wide variety of restaurants and menus to choose from. However, during my most recent visit, the female staff at the cocktail bar were playing around and talking loudly inappropriately. Even worse, they were using several Czech swear words nearby, and we had to move seats to avoid the disturbance, which spoiled the atmosphere. I understand this is an entertainment venue, but the focus should primarily be on the guests’ experience. Courtesy and professionalism should come before playfulness. I hope the management will take this feedback and make improvements.

Great spot for a variety of street food, drinks and good music. The venue has a pool to dip your feet into which is perfect for cooling down on a hot day and they had a DJ on the Sunday that we visited. Would absolutely recommend!

I really enjoyed the diversity of offerings here. We didn’t get any two things from the same place, and each was great. Two of our favorites were the Cheesey bread boat from Flame and the pork Borsch from the Ukrainian place. Sorry, I can’t recall the name at the moment. The service was great, especially from the staff of the market itself. It was a bit inside, but not surprising as it was mid-October. Definitely worth adding this place to your list for variety and quality, service was a nice bonus!

A great place for groups with different food preferences. Laod back and chilled. Its deceiving from the outside as it just looks like a load of scaffolding, but once you walk in, it opens up in to a mini village of bars and restaurants. Highly recommend a visit on your trip to prague.

This spot is a bit away from the crowded routes, and it’s quite small inside, but they probably make the best trdelník among many places in the downtown area. The ambience has a unique, design that gives you a pleasantly unusual feeling. Step inside and you’ll get a fresh, tender trdelník — the kind I would order plain or with just Nutella or chocolate. It’s truly a kosher product, officially certified. !Don’t add toppings or ice cream; that way you can really appreciate the quality of the trdelník itself. Fast and welcoming service, all is good! I would recommend if you're circling around and want coffee with fresh, hot, and delicious pastry.

The most delicious Baumkuchen I have ever eaten. The portions are huge and the price is fair. We opted for the "Apple Strudel" & the "Velvet Banana" version, a dream. The ice cream on top adds freshness and the dough gives the classic Baumkuchen feeling. The various fillings are also super tasty. A clear 10/10 and a recommendation, definitely check it out if you are visiting Prague!

Best Trdelnik in Prague by far...and even better than any chimney cake we tried in Budapest! We came here twice during our stay in Prague. PHENOMENAL!!!

We chose the Velvet Banana Trdelník (with vanilla ice cream) and it was super delicious😍😋 However, we were glad that we ordered only one for two people as I feel like it is a little bit too much to eat for one person..😅 The staff was also really friendly! There are no places to sit inside the shop which was just little sad🥲

We ordered two trdelnik (the best in Old Town by far!) - they made them fresh right there. We also had two affogatos, they were excellent and one ice tea. This was a perfect treat after taking a tour of the Jewish Quarter. I highly recommend this restaurant- even if you are not taking the tour.

U Kalicha is an iconic Restaurant in Prague The restaurant retains its old world charm with wood panelling and a whole lot of scrawling on the walls by patrons of the years gone by. Hands down the best pork knuckle in Prague. I have had some good ones, some even great, but this is the best. The meat extremely tender, the skin crispy. The staff nice and up for a laugh. And the price is unmatched. Will be visiting again soon.

Might be the best meal we had in Prague. We got their famous pork knuckle/knee ( not too sure) but it was on their specialties. The meat was cooked perfectly with crispy skin. I dont normally like sauerkraut but theirs was crunchy and sweet and perfect almost like a lighter pickled cabbage salad. Their mustards were so good & their side sauce of what tasted like wasabi (not sure what it was called) also with a side of bread. Portion was really big too!! This dish would’ve fed 2-3 even 4 people Also ordered the rabbit — also surprisingly good!! The gravy was yum and they served it with a generous side of dumpling ( kind of like their local bread!) It really felt like a mom and pop shop and mostly locals filled the place. Thought it wiuld be hard to communicate but really all you need is google translate to understand the menu.

This was my second visit to the restaurant during my trip to Prague. Today I ordered the Svickova and the Collegno. The Collegno was still delicious, and the Svickova was fantastic.

When you want to get a decent meal on a budget, this is one of your best options in the area! They have breakfast, a daily lunch menu, coffee, cakes etc. Plus, it's a social enterprise - they employ persons with disabilities. It's actually inside the city hall, so it's easy to miss it!
