The Botanist Sheffield, located in Leopold Square, offers a unique dining experience with its gastropub-style cuisine and botanical-themed cocktails. The restaurant's striking interior is adorned with beautiful floral displays and twinkling fairy lights, creating a picturesque setting for enjoying their diverse menu. From kebabs to brunch dishes like Nutella and Biscoff triple-layered French toast, there's something for everyone.
Been here for a meal this evening. We were served by Abi C who was great. What an asset to the team she was so helpful with splitting the bill and offering advice. The food was great as was the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is really pleasant, the decoration is lovely. The food is really nice, though not hot enough and the service is a bit slow so i would recommend to reserve earlier in. We needed to pay 6£ the service which we were not warned about. Plus, the portion of rice served with the chicken curry was a bit disappointed… Other than that the waitresses are really pleasant and are making sure you are having a nice time. Still recommend if you need to celebrate an event with you’re family :)
Anna — Google review
The ambience is great. cocktails, drinks, and wine are of great variety and cocktails are very well done. Most of the food we ordered is tasty, particularly starters and desserts but in contrast to others mentioned about hangling kebabs we didn't like them, they are not hot when served, so we didn't like them, the veg kebabs are better than others but lamb kebabs are felt dried and they are not hot.
Kailash R — Google review
I recently organised a 70th birthday party at the Botanist. Since moving from Leopold Square the Botanist layout and overall decoration is much improved. The bar area has a modern vibe with good views and an outdoor seating area. We received a good welcome from their staff and after drinks we then moved to the restaurant. That’s when the evening went down hill. The food overall was decidedly average and it was served to our table in dribs and drabs. Most of our party complained that their food was not warm. Presentation was poor and the Arancini starter was tasteless and miniature in stature. Having previously visited the Botanist at Leeds l was very disappointed in comparison to the overall quality of our food. Our young waiter was helpful and friendly but the kitchen appears to be where the problem are with the delivery of food to the table slow and unorganised. The restaurant did very little to make the night special for the lady who we organised the party for. General opinion was our party was that the Botanist was a nice place to have a drink but not for a meal. The Botanist needs to raise it game if it has any chance of long term survival in today’s competitive environment.

Visited for a graduation celebration. Excellent service great food well presented, slightly pricey.

The Famous hanging kebabs are delicious and so are the desserts. Yes it’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The service is good, but they are overworked, at times it’s really busy. But overall an amazing restaurant with beautiful decor and nice food in the centre of Sheffield 👌🏻📸
The E — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Drinks are quite impressive and really nicely served. Food was tasty, we enjoyed the hanging kebabs however they were not anything special. Still good though. The decor is definitely unique although I wasn’t expecting plants to be fake in such place 😜

Prob one of the best bars in Sheffield - downstairs party room, upstairs balcony, mega comfy chairs, friendly staff, awesome finger food and great cocktails and shots. Tons of plants and flowers and art deco design to copy the original Botanist in Sloane Square. Will go again

Lost & Found Sheffield is a Victorian-inspired bar that offers a heavenly brunch experience. With a distinctive blend of rustic and glamorous decor, including glittering chandeliers and elegant furnishings with a botanical backdrop, it's the perfect place for a catch-up. The menu features classic options like smashed avocado on sourdough toast as well as more intriguing dishes such as Turkish eggs.
We got married on 2nd June this year. We wanted an intimate gathering with our closest family and friends and reached out to a few restaurants in the area. After chats with lost and found there was no doubt they would be a perfect fit for what we wanted! Every chat came with questions so that they could make everything we wanted happen, every member of staff we spoke to were friendly, helpful and wanting todo their best for us. They were also super accommodating to our situation regarding rooms and where we actually wanted the meal! On the day, we headed over after getting married and it was utterly perfect! They had allowed us to bring in a balloon artist who full decorated our room and they had done our seating plan just as asked. We had a lady who took care of us most of the night (I didn’t catch her name but she was FABULOUS and absolutely out did herself!!) but again all the staff we brilliant and the manager who helped us start to finish was awesome too. Overall, it was more than a huge success and superseded out expectations! Room, food and staff!! We plan on visiting again in the summer for food and hopefully visiting on our one year anniversary for a date night!
Reece H — Google review
My initial impressions of Lost and Found were really positive, especially the lovely service provided by the bar. Sadly the experience deteriorated after sitting down to dine in the restaurant. The service was ok, however it was disappointing to learn that several items were not available from the menu. My main complaint however came with my main course. I had ordered the cheese and bacon burger. Whilst I read that it had an onion chutney included, at no point did it mention that this contained chilli..Although not allergic, it caused my mouth to feel like it was on fire and therefore something I would have expected to be made aware of. I would have brought this to the attention of my server, however the initial checkback happened so quickly into the meal that i hadn't had an opportunity ro even bite into my burger. I mentioned my issue when the plates were taken away and over half the burger haddock been left on the plate. The server went away and confirmed with the kitchen that there was chilli present in the dish but made no effort to rectify the situation. Desserts were ordered and the menu advised that these were to be accompanied by a complimentary hot drink. No drink was offered and by this point I just wanted to pay and leave. Overall a little disappointed that a lovely evening was overshadowed by poor service

Beautiful rooms that were clean, comfortable, and really well put together, making the afternoon tea extra special. The service was absolutely amazing staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Afternoon tea was delicious and surprisingly filling, with a great variety of treats and plenty to enjoy. Highly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable time

Had a really lovely afternoon catching up in the sunshine with cocktails and food! My first proper outing since my son was born. Bella was lovely and was very attentive and we didn't feel like we were rushed.

We came last Friday for the first Cheese & Wine tasting night Lost & Found had put on with Cheese and Friends. The cheese and accompaniments were delicious and we had a good variety of wine. Nadia was a wonderful host, took her time explaining the cheese and wine and made the tasting good fun.

Great space for a private event! We have the upper private room and it was everything we could ask for. Attentive server all evening , fresh food and great mocktails.
Scribbles S — Google review
Lovely place, lovely food, lovely staff but unfortunately not enough of them working, especially as there was a function on upstairs so, although we had booked for 1.30pm, we were waiting an hour for our food. The waitress was very apologetic (when we managed to find her) and arranged for us to have a free drink each whilst we waited. I would give a higher service rating for the two waitresses who were working as they were very pleasant and polite and remained calm despite the difficult circumstances but the management in not having sufficient staff working, resulting in such long wait times (it was the same for other tables) has brought this down to a two.

Known for its delightful Bottomless Brunch available every weekend, guests can indulge in a choice of delicious brunch dishes paired with free-flowing drinks like Prosecco, Mimosas, and Aperol Spritz.
We had an amazing experience as soon as we entered the establishment. Amelia was a fantastic host, friendly, helpful and attentive. Really appreciated her service and recommendations on food and drink and that she listened to feedback on food at the end of the meal. We will definitely be returning next time we're in the area. Thank you!

First time visiting but will definitely come back. Had the nachos starter and then shared 5 plates and it was all amazing, tasty, fresh and very filling! Our server Joel was very attentive, helpful and friendly and made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you!

Our waitress was lovely and friendly and could see we were starting to order via the app. Phoebe! Lovely girl. She was 'on it' like a seagull on a fresh chip! I wasn't sure a Lime and soda drink would be on the app so glad she came over to help and say hi. Nice food. Small plates. We chose beef tacos, halloumi fries and buttermilk chicken sliders.

We did the cocktail making experience yesterday with Tyler and she was a great host. It was professional, great fun and compared to other venues in Sheffield it was the best value for money. Three cocktails each, huge bowls of nachos with all the trimmings and Prosecco on arrival all included in the price! We stayed for food after and Joel was great at looking after us all, helping us chose the best combo of dishes for us all to share! Thank you we will definitely be back soon x

A massive shoutout to the lovely Phoebe are lovely waitress last night🩷 she was so sweet and was very welcoming with a stunning smile! Drinks are definitely 10/10 food was delicious and atmosphere was lovely! Perfect birthday treat for my mum before going to see the holiday at the city hall 🎻✨

We went there for an impromptu dinner as we hungry on our walk around Sheffield city centre. It’s a cozy place with very good interiors. The staff is very polite and helpful. The food was decent. We had ordered Buddha bowls, fish and chips and Grilled chicken. The bowl was average which I had but my friends loved the chicken and fish. There was 2for1 cocktails which was nice.

Warm professional welcoming from Phoebe, whom served us with delicious food with a lovely atmosphere. 😊

A party of four friends wanting to chat and catch up, gratefully the music was not too loud allowing us to do just that. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and hot (always a bonus) the steaks were perfect. Happy with the wine and the food prices were reasonable. For me as a driver I only gave 4 stars because of the soft drink prices £2.55 for a lemon and lime was a bit steep. Other wise all good!

Turtle Bay restaurant in Sheffield promises bottomless brunches with a great selection of food, cocktails and island vibes. It's popular with cocktail lovers and is situated in an inspiring location.
I’ve only known Turtle Bay for its drinks, but this is the first time trying the food using a birthday voucher and was genuinely impressed. Highly recommend their fish taco. Fresh and well-balanced on flavour and texture of the fish and taco. We also ordered the jerk chicken. Personally, I would have liked more fragrance and heat from scotch bonnet, but I understand it might be toned down for a wider audience. That said, I appreciate that they offer Encona hot sauce on the side for an extra kick. Staff is friendly, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Always one of our favourite Sheffield eateries , we love the choice of vegan foods and how lovely the food is always cooked. The staff and the atmosphere are always really lovely. We feel staff always go out of their way to give us a wonderful meal experience. James took care of our food and drink orders today.

Attended Turtle bay yesterday. It was the first day of their new menu and we had the unlimited Bottomless Brunch for £36pp. Harry was our waiter and he did an amazing job. The food was incredible and the cocktails too. Although the selection of cocktails has been reduced there is still loads to pick from. Had a lovely time and when our time had finished we sat in the bar a took advantage of their 2 for £13 cocktails. ( has to be be 2 Of the same cocktail) I will definitely be back. I did prefer going in the week rather than a weekend the atmosphere is more relaxed.

Darrel cooked some amazing food for us, mmmmmmmmm, it was amazing! The cocktails were lovely, and definitely got me pissed! Good job Darrel. Our holiday got cancelled yesterday, but it was great because I felt like I was on holiday in Jamaica. Give Darrel a pay rise xxx

Elisa was our server. She was attentive and personable without being gushy. The restaurant/bar were spotless and plenty of lunchtime diners. We were a party of two and had a main and shared a dessert with a couple of mocktails each. Stunning food. Moist chicken and perfectly seasoned rice n peas! My husband had the hot chick burger and devoured it. We’ll definitely be back. 10/10 for Elisa.

We've been coming to turtle bay Sheffield regularly for many years. The quality of the food and service has always been consistent. Unfortunately, our latest experience was very disappointing... Turtle bay has followed suit of other big chains and is scaling back and compromising quality and standards. For example... - you used to get a cotton napkin, now paper - the homemade sodas would come in a 500ml bottle, now a small glass half of which was ice (photographed) - none of the mains come with sides, the waitress advised this was to allow for greater consumer choice but the cost of adding sides adds up and the portion sizes are small. - presentation... The food used to come on nice glazed plates which looked great, now it comes in basic boring white plates. This also impacts the presentation e.g sweetcorn fritters would come on a rectangle glazed plate and have coriander and pickled red onions and drizzled in sauce, now bunched on a basic white plate (photographed) - portion sizes - sweetcorn fritters, used to get 4, now you get three, coleslaw was small spoonful (photographed), a small tumbler half filled with fries (how cheap are fries... seriously?!) the ice cream has doubled in price from £1 a scoop to £2 a scoop and is served in a tiny silver cup (photographed). The desserts are £6 for a small slither of brownie with tiny blob of ice cream. Really doesn't represent value anymore. Also, the menu has changed to more typical European offerings of pizzas and burgers where you used to go to turtle bay for something a bit different. The only good thing is that the food does still taste great and the service was the same high standard (very friendly staff) but I feel that the presentation, the cut backs and the poor value negatively affects the overall experience and I shall no longer be visiting frequently as I did before and instead will try other food chains that have not compromised on the things that distinguish them from the rest.

We decided to try out Turtle Bay for the first time today and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere immediately when you walk in is amazing. Loved the music and atmosphere. Jess was our server and she was great. She really made sure we had everything we needed. The food was tasty and everything was nice and fresh. Thanks for a great night!

Lovely food, great beers, good selection of cocktails too. Three buns is enough for me if I’m hungry! Would love to try some of the other dishes so will definitely be back!

Super little bar on Abbeydale Road with a pleasant area out the back out of view of car park. We had bao buns with a bowl of chips which were delicious. 1 bun plus chips is fine for the average adult. Mrs B had a OnlyFans cocktail which was equally well reviewed. Nice to go somewhere where the food and drinks are "a bit different". Rapid service by attentive staff.

Modern British restaurant

Modern European restaurant
Restaurant
Silversmiths in Sheffield offers modern British cuisine with a strong Yorkshire influence, served in a relaxed environment suitable for everyone. The restaurant is located in a reclaimed wood-panelled, former cutlery works room and is known for its easy-going Sunday lunch featuring dishes like iberico pork, cured salmon, roast chicken, and aged topside beef. Silversmiths is highly regarded for its focus on using the best culinary products from Yorkshire and its elegant decor.
My partner and I came for an early anniversary celebration. I have been following Tom on socials for a while now and saw he had recently taken over as Head Chef here at Silversmiths and that he is aiming for a star. I’ve been wanting to come and try the food since he took over and I was blown away this evening! Every element of every dish had had so much time and effort put into it, everything was so carefully thought out and every flavour shined through perfectly. A lot of fine dining establishments really overdo it on flavours and elements leaving you lost within a dish and not really knowing what flavours your getting but this menu was so perfectly executed that literally every ingredient on the plate could be tasted and appreciated, even the small things such as the tomato’s on the stone bass dish, which absolutely made the plate! Service was also impeccable, super friendly staff that instantly made you feel welcome and at ease within the restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and try the new menu and we’re certain there will be a Michelin star next to your name very soon! Thankyou Tom and The Team! 💕

Gorgeous food, small, finessed plates with lots of flavour. We tried the supper club menu which was £30 for 3 courses and we left feeling really pleased. The waitress was super friendly. A very quiet restaurant so not too much atmosphere but what I expected for the type of food.

Made a stop for bottomless brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Usually the food is an after thought for these kind of things, but not here. Proper restaurant fare and good quality ingredients used. Drinks were all nice and service was very attentive with it never feeling like there was a gap where you felt left without. Hate off to the staff, definitely worth the price tag and then some.

We attended the silversmiths takes over of Selena's night. The amazing taster menu provided by tom was matched with special cocktails perfectly matched to the taster menu. The special sherbet on the outside of the glasses was a revelation to me . It gave me the different taste notes that matched each delectable course. as a non drinker with just soda water a lick of the sherbet with each drink elevated the taste. I think lickable glasses are the future!!

This relaxed yet stylish restaurant, Silversmiths, based in the centre of Sheffield, provides modern British cuisine, with a touch of Yorkshire influence. This award-winning restaurant advertises their midweek menu as “affordable sophistication.” They value these refined dishes by featuring locally sourced and fresh produce, cooked to perfection. We went to check out the latest Midweek menu offering for Silversmith’s Midweek Supper Club; Available Tues – Thur, Starters £5 / Mains £15 / Sides £5 / Desserts £5. [Ad] Please note that we visited in February, and the menu is set to change regularly, so please visit their website to find their latest Midweek Menu here. We enjoyed; ⭐️ Beef Jerky starter – we decided to share this as we wanted to limit ourselves to 2 courses but I had my heart set on trying a dessert too. We felt the portion was small, however all elements were really tasty. ⭐️ Steak [+£10 surcharge] – the steak was cooked to perfection. The potato fondant looked burnt, however was actually great. ⭐️ Cod Loin – This was so delicious, I could have easily have eaten it again. ⭐️ Cherry Bakewell Dessert (shared) – The cherry flavouring in this dessert was spot on. Really glad I opted to try a dessert. Every dish was plated very aesthetically and with great care. Every ingredient tasted delicious and complimented and elevated other elements on the plate really well. A nicely set out, smart restaurant. I could have eaten the Cod again it was so tasty. The only slight criticism, in our opinion, is that you definitely need 2 courses each here, we didn’t leave overly full. We could have easily ate 3 courses, however currently we are trying to slim down a little. Also, I feel that maybe the sides could be priced a little less than a starter? But we didn’t add any, so I can’t comment on the side portion size. You will save around £20pp on their A La Carte Menu, when you opt for their Midweek Menu, however some of the dishes on the A La Carte look fantastic, and there are a few complimentary nibbles with the A La Carte too! Lovely Sunday roast and wine selection. We tried the beef and ham, both delicious. Shame there is no Bloody Mary on offer - perfect accompaniment to a roast!

Excellent Sunday lunch using top quality ingredients. The beef was especially good quality which literally melted in your mouth! Staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. I was a little disappointed that they didn't acknowledge that it was my Mum's 88th Birthday even though I had informed them with the booking and we did have a balloon at the table! 😂

My boyfriend and i loved this place! The staff was lovely, the playlist was amazing, we had a lot of fun! We ordered chicken goujon and a three cheese pizza, which is hard to find elsewhere. It all tasted really good!
Ana T — Google review
Great pizza and bar, dog friendly too! We had a beer while the pizzas were made and they were both delicious. Meant to save some for the morning but couldn't resist scoffing the lot. Location is in the heart of Kelham Island's new development area and is a good advert for Sheffield and urban regeneration done well.
Bob H — Google review
Wow, Great little find having just walked around the Kelham Island museum and needing lunch. Beautifully dressed with low ceiling and lots of wood, yet also manages not to be dark with large windows and loads of natural light. Are there many things better than fresh pizza? I don't think so, and this place does pizza justice. Plenty of options and what we picked was very tasty. Also had dessert and literally didn't need to eat again that day! Didn't stray into the beers, but they had a huge selection. Did have a coffee, which was well made, another sign of a good place. The two guys onsite did a great job and I would happily return for more next time I'm in Sheffield. Highly recommended.

Great food and atmosphere in a good location. All food is cooked fresh to order, and it's a reasonable price for the portions. There is a wide range of drinks available, including lots of craft beers. While the food is fairly priced, the drinks seem a little steep. The establishment is warmly decorated, with wood panelling on the walls. It is all very clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the choice of music is particularly good.
Eliot C — Google review
Excellent pizza, reasonably priced, dog friendly and it's in the heart of Kelham Island, what more can you ask for! The staff were friendly too and they have some fantastic spicy mayo for dipping your crust in :) In total it cost £30 for 2 pizzas, chips and 2 beers, which I think I acceptable for pizza this good!

Craft & Dough - first time visit. Nice place, centrally located in a fairly historic part of downtown Sheffield. Service is relaxed and friendly and the staff are warm and accommodating. Food is good - we ordered two pizzas (the Henderson and the Nduja). Both were well-made and fresh. Also ordered the halloumi fries, which were quite excellent. The sauce comes with bits of pomegranate. Dessert was fair - we ordered the Nutella dough balls but they were nothing special. Still, overall it was a pleasant dining experience. Good place for big groups as well as small tables for two. Will come back again.
Arjun K — Google review
Decent place for a pint with several craft options, but would definitely stay clear of the pizza. For £11-13, I’ve had better from Tesco.
Taylor G — Google review
I remember I came here a while ago for a brunch meal on a Sunday. It was a bottomless brunch (bottomless Prosecco, a main included, and £25 per person) it was quite expensive to upgrade to gin and lemonade (+£12.50) but the vibe and food was nice. The mushroom dish, I definitely recommend!! The surrounding area is quite rustic and it pairs nice with the river flowing through nearby. I’m not sure if the brunch price is still the same but give it a go if you like Prosecco with your meal! The staff were very helpful too!

Picture House Social is a relaxed pub that offers Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian street food. It's described as the "Crystal Maze for hipsters" with a cocktail bar, games room, and cinema. The menu features adventurous pizza options like the 'Gareth' and 'Buffalo 66', along with sides such as arancini and kimchi fries.
This place is pretty cool, so many different things to do here like shuffleboard on the floor, Sports on TV, and a comedy show the night we were there. It is completely the vibe I like, very dive bar ish. Staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable about their jobs. There is a nice patio out back but it was raining the day we were there. We were there to catch up with friends and just relax so we didn't get up to any of the activities, but we did each have a pizza and shared some fries. Everything was delicious and my vegetarian Friends were happy! It's very funky here and I really like that, it's a fun place to hang out and socialize. If you use the Ladies definitely push the button! 😀

My partner and I spontaneously decided to go for food at Picture Social House. I was almost sure that we are not gonna be able to find a table without a booking and I was right. It was fully booked but the host was really polite and he suggest that we can sit on a bench and an old barrel was our table and it was actually really cool!!! We both had the beef pizza which was really good and the Henderson's fries which were an absolute heaven!!! And I am absolutely sure that they were home made and not from a packet because they reminded me of my grandma's fries from the olden days! 5 stars!!! 💜

Cubana Tapas Bar is a vibrant and popular restaurant in Sheffield, known for its authentic Spanish and Cuban tapas dishes. The lively setting and colorful decor create a lively atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. After recently relocating to new premises on Leopold Square, the restaurant continues to draw crowds with its extensive menu featuring classic Spanish-style dishes infused with South American flair.
Lovely interior, service and a place that really transports you. Amazing drink selection to boot too. I will surely be coming back. Opted for the daytime set menu, which comes with a huge amount of food and some excellent food, at that. Particular noteworthy tapas for me were the black olive and mixed herb tapenade with ciabatta, the turkey and chorizo and the pan fried tiger prawns.

Great food served upstairs, portions are huge! I ordered 3 tapas dishes and 2 would have been enough. Staff were great, and food reasonably priced and good quality. Only marked atmosphere down as live music was a bit loud for a restaurant.

Staff were friendly and witty, joking around with each other and the guests. This helped to create a positive, upbeat atmosphere. The food was delicious. With so many tasty items on the menu it was hard to make a choice. Live music also added to the nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back here when visiting Sheffield again.

We go for Salsa dancing on Fri night. Unfortunately the social starts at 11pm as they've a live band at 10pm. Not as good as the old days but okay for a bit of fun. Certainly the DJ makes a huge difference for the quality of the music/evening.

Came here as a party of 6, given a lovely round table that spins. Each ordered 2 tapas as a side. Good had excellent portions, all meat was incredibly tender, particularly the lamb and steak. The meatballs were packed with flavour aslong side all other dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was delivered quickly. Atmosphere was great with good music and very well designed interior Would definitely recommend and go again
Tilly H — Google review
I would love to give this 5/5 because of the food but there are a couple of reasons for the mark down. The first is that it is incredibly noisy, it is really hard to hear the person next to you let alone diagonally. Such a shame as it was for a group catch-up, (we are all in our early 30s) The second is the toilets, they were absolutely awful! Glad I visited after I had ate my food. Toilet rolls were empty as well. The food itself was very nice, lots of vegetarian options, so many it was hard to choose what to have! I really recommend the mushroom croquettes they were absolutely gorgeous. The sweet potato and pepper dish was extremely dry. My friends also said a couple of their dishes were quite dry as well. On the whole we enjoyed it. A group of 6 and our bill was around £146 so not too bad considering we all ate 2-3 tapas and sides and had drinks

Incrediblly diverse clientele! Suprised by the joy experienced!! We had a challenge; our nearly full cocktails were picked up by staff. Spoke to security sorted it immediately, no quibbles...as if this place could get any better. Definately intend to visir ayleast 0nce a month, mabye each 2 eeeks

Visited on a Friday night. Had set menu. Very well cooked but recommend thinking about buying individual dishes. Lovely decor and staff friendly. A bit noisy upstairs and staff hovering so felt like you were expected to hurry up with food. Music on the Friday night was easy listening/slow tempo and not what we expected. Good musicians but not helpful if tired and wanting dancing/party atmosphere. Ended up going to another pub with no music. Will try this place again on a Saturday after checking the music is definitely latin/salsa and appropriate for dancing.

HowSt, located near Sheffield Hallam University, is a popular Sheffield cafe known for its authentic British menu featuring delicious breakfast items and a wide variety of drinks. The spot offers rapid and friendly service, affordable prices, and a warm atmosphere. With options ranging from traditional fry-ups to trendy avocado-based dishes, including plenty of vegetarian choices, HowSt has been a staple in Sheffield for over ten years.
I’ve passed Howst a few times when I’ve been visiting Sheffield and had put it on my list to visit; today we popped in for coffee which was very tasty. It’s quite a small venue downstairs; not sure if the upstairs is used but there is also seating outside. The coffee was rich and full bodied and my husband’s pastry was good; gluten free brownie was on the menu but sadly they didn’t have any on our visit. Staff very polite and friendly.

Food was pretty decent, I'd give it a 7/10. Did get a bit of eggshell in my fried egg though, which wasn’t great. The Deluxe Iced Coffee was really good. We wanted to hang around a bit longer and order more, but were asked to leave since there were people waiting, which was fair enough. The outside tables are on a bit of a slope, so the chairs are at an angle, which might be a little uncomfortable. Just a heads-up: there’s a 10% service charge added automatically, not sure it quite matched the service we got.

First of all want to say that staff were excellent Although have to be honest and say the food really was not it. My girlfriend and I stopped by just before lunch time and had the hash and dirty sandwich. The hash was overly smothered with cheese to the point it was unpleasant, my dirty sandwich (sausage , egg, bacon and beans on grainery bread) was very average tasting. Beer and mimosas were decent, but for £44 I felt it was a little on the pricey side and not reflective of the food quality. Sorry, not a fan of leaving a bad review!

Cocktail masterclass - absolutely fantastic and the lovely Jemima was incredible! We laughed, drank copious amounts, made friends with others in attendance and were taught how to make the perfect cocktail! The experience included games, races and forfeits, all of which had us cracking up throughout! Jemima made us feel comfortable and entertained and the experience didn’t feel rushed whatsoever, which is something that I was apprehensive about in all honesty. The 3-course meal that followed was faultless and overall, it was an excellent afternoon and an experience that I would highly recommend. 5-star host, venue, ambience and afternoon!!

Jasmine J — Google review
We visited Furnace for an evening meal and unfortunately our most recent visit was far below expectations. We are cutting the waiters some slack as there were clearly a lot of tables booked for graduations and the staff seemed very over run, but this should have been compensated for with more staff. The positives are unfortunately quite a small list. We had the Korean fried chicken and the houmous for starter, both of which were beautifully presented and tasted amazing! Also, our waiter was very friendly and polite despite the poor service errors. And that is where the positives end. The bar in the next room provides the music, which is more of a thumping bass you’d expect at a nightclub than restaurant music, topped with everyone shouting so that people can hear each other speak. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table which arrived in an ice bucket as expected. The bucket was left on the far side of the table way out of reach, with the dripping wet bottle plonked in the middle of the table for us, before the waitress walked away. Bottle unopened, no first glass poured or a taste, we wiped the soaking table down ourselves and moved the ice bucket within reach, so quite poor service there. Our mains were very disappointing. We ordered the beef skewer with fries and the salmon skewer with rice. The mains arrived before the starter had been cleared away, so the waiter put the mains down to clear our starters, and said he’d grab us some clean cutlery. After a few minutes staring at our mains and finger picking at the already cold chips, I went to grab some spare cutlery from another table as the waiter hadn’t returned, and never did return. The mains were served on metal trays which I’d never seen at this restaurant before, which gave it more of a street food vibe. Compared to some previous visits to Furnace, we were surprised at this, dishes have been much better presented in the past. When ordering, we weren't asked how we would like the beef to be cooked, and wouldn’t expect to be asked either considering it’s a skewer and not a steak. But the beef was completely rare / raw (see photographs). I would have complained, but the restaurant was far too busy and I doubt I'd have been served another main course before my partner had eaten hers. I would usually order a steak cooked medium-rare anyway, so I did eat around a third of the meat that were slightly more cooked, but even some parts for me were far too rare. My partner, who usually orders steak medium-well, would not have been able to eat any of it, as it was all far too rare. There was no check back from a waiter after being served our food to point this out, and when the waiter cleared our plates which were only half eaten, we weren’t asked if there was anything wrong, despite it being quite evident that we did not enjoy our meals. I don’t think we will return here after that experience, the restaurant was lovely when it first opened but we were very disappointed with our most recent visit.

First time going and I will say it was lovely. Great selection of amazing foods & wine. The staff are all lovely and the chef really knows how to cook! The atmosphere was incredibly chill and homely and felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Will definitely be going again to try the rest of the menu selection. Thank you for such a wonderful night guys!

Very good looking restaurant. It's a nice place but the food is a bit different and querky. It has some vegan and vegetarian options, but the menu is a bit small so it could be made bigger. The cocktails are also a bit different. It was nice but just feel like there could be more options and also maybe more staff around. The brunch however is stunning I love that you get to pick 5 different things it's beautiful

Average food at a normal prices. The lamb kebab was nothing special, and the “giant” cous-cous salad, is neither giant nor good. That is not cous-cous, can’t say which cereal it is. Chicken yatai were ok. Restaurant is nice, and the service was good and professional. The terrace gives it a plus.

It has taken us forever to get a booking here, its a very popular destination in the heart of Sheffield. I was a little shocked when first entering with how basic the place was but it had a great atmosphere once it filled up a little, although I did think the tables a little close together. The staff were great but the drinks took ages to arrive which was dissapointing for the four of us. The food is cool but choose wisely for the portion sizing ...... the fishcake was great and filling but the Yorkshire Tea and Smoked Mackeral, although tasty was a little dissapoining on the size and presentation. We had the Grilled Chicken & Chorizo Kebab (amazing), Roast Lamb, Scallops and cod with sides of sweetcorn (again amazing) mash and properly seasoned chips. The wine is reasonably priced per bottle and the cocktails look amazing but I'm not sure how much alcohol they have in them as we questioned this. The prices are really good and we will revisit soon.

Absolutely great bar and restaurant this. Super friendly staff, great food, good beer. It's got a good position in town tho there's not much else going on there at the moment. Parking is easy if you need it at the NCP 1min walk away. Great outdoor seating in the summer too. They've done some minor menu changes after a few months which helps the menu stay fresh.

Had such a lovely brunch here! Great value for a tasty hearty full English and good coffee. The inside seating area is spacious and bright too, very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Since the place is big, slight con was the wait time when staff was busy on the other end and no one was seeing our table for a while - this has improved towards the end of our meal when there were more of them. Overall a good experience

Gatsby is a vibrant venue located in Sheffield city center, known for its lively weekend party vibe with music until 3 am and a beer garden. On Saturdays, they offer a funky Hip Hop bottomless brunch featuring a variety of breakfast options such as breakfast tacos and burritos paired with bottomless drinks including beer, cocktails, and gin & juice for 90 minutes. The atmosphere is enhanced by old school and new school hip hop anthems curated by Quality Control DJs.
Another dog-friendly pub in the city centre. This pub is also the air-conditioned-the perfect place to be in this scorching weather. They served Mexican fusion food and fantastic IPA. Highly recommend this pub to everyone, especially if you have a four-legged kid.

Get selection of cocktails and food for what you paying nice location and always have a good playlist to vibe out to. The bar staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. However the floor is usually sticky but that common in pubs 😅

Decent enough food - Mexican inspired menu. Some vegan choices too. If you’re after decent beer this is not the place to go - pretty poor selection but if you’re after spirits and cocktails then it is pretty well stocked. There’s also a beer garden if you want to go al fresco.

Been here a couple of times, nice studenty pub, fairly quiet in daytime, haven't been in the evening. Katsu curry fries are amazing, cheesy fries as pictured also really good. Nachos great size for £4.50 and plenty of hot sauce available. Cocktail bar upstairs too with table service, Daisy's.

Don’t let the name fool you. This is most certainly not a place the Great Gatsby would visit. The Hemmingway Daquiri was weak and left me wishing it was a Moveable feast. The staff…. Seemed miserable. Food, soggy fries. Burrito was ok. All needs redecorating.

This place has definitely improved over the past year. It can still feel a little scruffy on a night but it has a great selection of alcohol and does some amazing tacos and fries that I would highly recommend. The bar has a beer garden too for those hot sunny days or if you are a smoker. Bouncers are usually on the doors when the place is open over the weekend.

Went for bottomless wings,Thurs. Hands down the most delicious wings ive had in Sheffield to date. If you like wings, go here! Nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. No vegan or vegetarian options unfortunately though so some of my friends couldn't come and join in for the wings.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had our wedding celebration at Saw Grinders and honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. Joe and his team were truly incredible — every single member of staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the way they supported not just us but also our children meant the world to us. The food was exceptional — we had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. People were also blown away by how fantastic the venue itself is and how warm and welcoming the whole atmosphere felt. We’re so grateful to Joe and the team for making our wedding day so special. It’s a day we’ll always treasure, and that’s largely down to the kindness, care, and effort they put in. If you’re considering Saw Grinders for any event, we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I think this is probably my 4th visit here so they must be doing something right. We reserved a table outside for food before meeting up with our friends later in the day. Our waitress (sorry can't remember her name but she was from Ontario) was really friendly and helpful and also made a good Bloody Mary. I had the Buffalo Chicken Burger which was superb with just the right amount of kick to it. We ofcourse will be back again soon

Great atmosphere and service with good food. This restaurant is located in the Kelham Island area, around 10 minutes drive from the city centre. The first thing I noticed was the lovely vibe and atmosphere the restaurant had, the decor added to the evening meal vibe. The staff were very, very friendly and accommodating and the waitress gave us notice when our food would arrive. The waiters and waitresses wore face masks which is very appreciated. The cocktails were pretty good, I quite enjoyed the cocktail I ordered, although I can’t quite remember the name of the drink. The cocktails were £8 each. The food was good, I quite enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger. There are a selection of free toppings to add, I added: Grilled onions, burger sauce and gherkins. The burger costed £8.95. The peri-peri french fries were nice, your typical french fries with seasoning. The fries costed £3.95. Overall, a nice place to have dinner or go on a date with the nice atmosphere, decent food and nice staff. I would probably come back if I was around the area.

Unbelievably good veggie and vegan food! Possibly my new fave vegan restaurant in Sheffield, which is saying something. Delicious tasting and well presented tapas dishes. Lovely cocktails. On the pricey side, so not somewhere I could go all the time but definitely a place to go as a treat. Music playing created a great ambiance and we loved the vibe.

Cracking set of dishes for our evening visit, the food is fresh and tasty - it is a sharing menu so you can try and range of dishes. Note there is a lack of ample parking nearby as this is mostly street based around the Kelham Island area. I’d recommend a lovey visit here

Truly divine! We ordered half of the menu. Small plates so I recommend 2 or 3 per person. Slightly on the expensive side but we’ll worth it. The flavours are complex and the veg is sexy. Coffee is also great and locally roasted.

We really enjoyed our night here. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, which was full of lovely options. The drinks were lovely and we'll presented , a couple of gin and tonics. The food was delicious we had the baked cheese for a starter which was lovely prepared and served. It tasted great too. It would've been easier to eat it with a couple of mini bread knives or steak knives, but that's a minor criticism. The main course we're well presented and tasted fresh and full if flavour. We're having a break from sweets , so couldn't sample them. Definitely next time.

Beautiful restaurant. Elegant and a calm and positive atmosphere. The service is excellent, the waitress was kind, attentive and professional. The food was fresh, well made and beautifully plated. Excellent place in the middle of Sheffield. Lovely old building. All the usual facilities you could expect, all nice n clean n sparkling. Frank Sinatra songs playing in the toilet! Spacious outdoor seating area on the main thoroughfare. Just right for watching the world go by. Well worth a visit.

Starters was good, the roast chicken was appalling. Red wine sauce/jus was split, over seasoned and poured over everything. Meal replaced, but sauce served separately butstill grim leaving a bone-dry roast. Very, very poor. Not Brown's usual standard. Replacement meant my wife and I ate separately. Will not return. My wife says it was one of the worst meals we have had. I had the chicken schnitzel which was a 4/10. Edible...OK, but not as good as expected. A proper weekend spoiler. Staff did what they could but they couldn't improve what came out from the kitchen.

Absolutely marvellous staff, delicious food and good prices. My wife's a Coeliac and found the gluten free menu to be very good. We got a discount using my Defense discount card which we appreciated very much. I never approve of a service charge being added and on this occasion I was pleased to have it removed, so I could give a better tip.

Brilliant place, went for an evening meal with my other half and my server was shanika. good atmosphere, food came out quick but not too fast to worry. Food was great ordered a skull and there was enough rum in it to take a rocket back to moon so fair play. Shanika made the experience better good communication and aimed us towards the skull so thanks!

We booked for the £15 unlimited tapas which worth every penny. Would 100% recommend. Our waitress Shanika was amazing and her service was nothing short of perfect. She always made sure we had food on our table, was super friendly and always served with a smile. Thank you so much!

First time here today just by chance of passing by, really lovely food and quite affordable. Best cocktails I have ever had to date. The music is super good and I love the decor. Domie was our server today and she was very polite and friendly, and could make a joke with us and we appreciated that. Thank you, Domie!

Go for the atmosphere, not the food. Ordered the Burrito and it was the blandest thing I had ever tasted. The highlight was the cheese which had the most flavour of the whole dish. I ordered a coke as I was driving, and even this was flat. The large cost 4.25 which was just a tall glass, not wide and I would wager it was a cheap alternative because ut definitely wasnt coca-cola. There was an offer stating 2 courses for £16 however this was only a starter and main, and apparently had a limited menu. The redeeming quality of this place was the staff. My waitress had braided hair up in a pony tail, served me quickly and was very polite. All in all, unless you like bland or only plan to go for drinks, I wouldn't recommend this place.

A generous Sunday Roast The Yorkshire pudding was both crispy and soft. The pulled beef was moist and full of flavour, very good ! got one of the end of the roast so the beef slice was a bit dry but the gravy helped make it better. The veggies were warm and comforting If you want a good and copious Sunday Roast, this is the place

Lots of choice and if you do what we did and go at Sun lunchtime there are three menus to pick from (Sunday lunch, main and Brunch menu). Parking usually plentiful nearby but we were hampered today by road closures due to Sheffield Half Marathon- not normally a problem though. Food very nice- half roast chicken/ Vegetarian breakfast/Katsu chicken burger plus soft drinks for 35 quid. Revisited in June 2022- was great, all three main meals were tasty, very filling and even in these more expensive times, still reasonably priced.

I've been to Graze Inn on two occasions now and I really hope to become a regular! I first came for brunch with a friend on a Monday. Opted for the eggs royale which was presented beautifully, came out quickly and tasted great. My second visit, I brought my parents for a special occasion and got a number of dishes from the tapas menu, and the specials menu beef brisket to share between 3 of us. Again, beautifully presented, came out quickly and was just fantastic. Staff were lovely and attentive and the food was delicious. I don't think I could pick a favourite! Perhaps the arancini or the halloumi. The only thing we weren't the biggest fan of was the calamari which was a little on the oily and rubbery side but the beef brisket was just melt in your mouth perfect. Of course we had to stay for dessert which again, was faultless. Love the fact that they are dog friendly too and they do NHS staff discount which is an absolute bonus. Both times, a really wonderful experience. Thanks for having us and I'll be back soon!

Graze Inn is okay - food tasted really yummy (I had the aubergine steak) but the service wasn't very good. We were waiting quite a long time for the starters and mains to come out and for all the time we were waiting no one came to check on us or ask if we wanted anymore drinks - despite it not being very busy in the restaurant. I was also confused because I ordered the a.steak from the vegan menu rather than the regular menu, which meant I couldn't order the two sides to come with it as stated on the main menu... but yet it still cost the same money? And the waitress wouldn't let me change my order. Lovely decor and atmosphere - just wasn't a fan of the service. If it had been a very busy Saturday night I would have understood but it didn't seem busy enough to warrant waiting as long as we did.

We rebooked with firepit after a short staffed day, the management team are brilliant and understanding. Staff were friendly and welcoming, constantly bringing drinks and checking in. Allergies and accessibility requests were accommodated, no questions asked. The bar was reasonably busy with good music. The food was hot and brought quickly. At one point we turned down drinks as we couldn’t keep up. Before we had even sat down our drinks order had been taken. We had multiple well made cocktails, shots and bottles of Prosecco. We did the level 2 bottomless brunch. 100% would return and recommend. Thank you firepit team.

Booked the level 2 bottomless brunch for 4 people, in 2 hours we were served 4-5 drinks each and it wasn’t busy. 3 of us ordered the slow joe, which was beef brisket, it resembled dog food, the brisket was chewy and we didn’t eat the food at all. The staff were miserable, they didn’t clear the table until we asked, we had to keep getting their attention to ask for drinks and then they’d take 20 minutes to make the drinks. Overall a disappointing experience, I have sent an email complaining but I’m yet to have a response. Only positive was the music played was pretty good.

Absolutely shocking service, came for a bottomless brunch, 3 drinks in 1.5 hours. Twice our drinks order was forgotten. Definitely would not recommend, doesn't matter if they are busy or not, they know how tables and seats they can provide service. Don't book people in if you can't accommodate for them. Paying £35 to sit and watch paint dry is not my idea of a decent Saturday evening. Probably more fun to sit and actually watch paint dry.

There is a good selection of vegan food, especially pizza. We came here for breakfast, ordered a vegan burger and avocado toast. The coffee was amazing! I am very picky about coffee, but this was the best coffee I have ever had. We came here for the first time and the staff made us feel comfortable. The prices are high, but it is justified by the delicious food and good service. Definitely 5 stars!

I was en route to Weston Park and spotted the Forum which is close to Devonshire Green. It’s a big venue but there was a board outside advertising coffee so I went and was directed to the coffee bar area down several steps (there is an entrance to the coffee bar coming in by the external seating area which avoids steps). I ordered an oat milk latte and sat on one of the high stools. I asked about gluten free cakes etc and the barista pointed out a chocolate brownie. This was in a display case next to other products, not correctly labelled with no cover or separate serving equipment. I advised the barista about this but got no response other than a bemused look. NB I am not coeliac but avoid gluten. The coffee was good.

Walkabout in Sheffield is a popular Australian-themed bar known for its straightforward menu, themed party nights, and live sports on big-screen TVs. It's a hit with students due to daily food and drink deals, as well as the 'mates rates' discount card offering special offers on spirits and pints. The bar recently launched a new club night called Getting Jiggy With It, featuring drinks at just 2 all night long.
Had a bottomless brunch here. Our server was Leah who was really attentive and served us drinks every 10 minutes. A good selection of cocktails to choose from as well as beers and spirits. The food (nachos and chicken wings) were excellent. Would recommend for a brunch

9 of us went for bottomless brunch yesterday, amazing value for money, service was outstanding the drinks just kept on flowing our glasses were never empty, the lady with half blonde and half brown hair was brilliant so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, The BBQ chicken wings were amazing. We will be back soon.

Spent a Saturday evening in Walkabout for my daughters 18th birthday bottomless brunch. Due to the time and heatwave it was a little quiet inside but super busy outside. The lack of people did affect the atmosphere but the music was great and we made the most of it. Our server for the brunch was amazing (really wish I could remember his name!), super attentive, very energetic and made sure everyone of us were enjoying our experience.

We’d booked in for my friends’ birthday and because she had a birthday voucher we got a £25 free bar tab. When we got there they’d set up the table for us with free merch too - Loved it!

Bottomless was amazing today, we planned to do one before bassfest, we the the right one by the looks of it, great way to start the festival. Charlie and Chad did an amazing job, great service and manners. Very attentive. Food was amazing, cooked by Lukasz, very nice. Just need more people in here to make it a good vibe, but tbf it was a bottomless at 12pm on a Sunday afternoon so maybe we’re the one with a problem 🤣 overall experience 4.6

We had the best bottomless brunch, great company with amazing friends and the walkabout didn't disappoint and Emily who works there was amazing nothing was to much trouble and she made us feel so welcoming. And the drinks was flowing nicely, Can't wait to book the next bottomless brunch.

Pieminister is an informal restaurant that offers gourmet pies and patties, with options for vegetarians and those who are gluten-free. The Sheffield bottomless brunch at Pieminister is a popular choice among locals, offering hearty pies alongside unlimited drinks. The menu features a variety of pies such as Morning Glory, Sunny Pie Up, Vegan Banger, and Bangin Bean Skillet. In addition to traditional meat-based pies like Heidi and Deer Stalker, there are also vegan options like Kevin.
Been twice and been great both times. Hearty British pies for value. Tried the Kate and Sidney first time around and while the pie was nice, the gravy could have been more flavourful. Be careful as too much takes away from the pie itself. The second time, I went with the Feelin’ Gravy pie meal for the Deer and Beer. A delicious meal coming in at a cost effective price. If you enjoy pies, do drop in.

Update, so the business replied and asked me to contact them by email to discuss our visit, I did so but some 48hrs later I've still not had a reply to my email, and that is really bad customer service indeed ! Don't reach out and then not follow up the complaint! Ok I am not going to Lie, we were both super excited to visit Pieminster as we both loved a good Pie ! However the hype failed to live up to our expectations. We were shown to our table by what can only be described as one of the grumpiest people I've ever come across, and man is this place soulless it has zero atmosphere and it was like being in a school dinner hall, with seriously uncomfortable chairs and benches with tiny wobbly tables too. So our order was taken for drinks and we got asked about food but asked for a few more minutes, what felt like an age she came back to take our food order , this was taken from us with zero passion or warmth from the staff member, but hey ho let's face it we were there for Pie !!! The food arrived promptly on stupid wooden chopping boards and the wobbliest tin plates that had sucked what little heat out that there was of the Mash Potato ( yes like other reviews on here our mash was cold too ) there is zero excuse for any food to come out luke warm or cold ! I'm not sure what was going on with what they called gravy as it was so thin and runny and devoid of any flavour or seasoning that it was pointless. The pork cracking was ok, with a nice crunchiness and quite tasty, but the tiny tiny sausage had a weird flavour. The Yorkshire pudding and carrot and swede mash were in my opinion the highlight of the whole meal, which brings us into why we actually came to this restaurant........ The 🥧 I had the Steak and Kidney and my Fiancé had the Chicken and Mushroom, when I cut mine open the smell was very good with a nice tang from the kidneys, nice and crispy pastry but verging on being overdone, however the taste...... It was so bland and tasteless I had to add seasoning myself to bring out any flavour from the filling. My fiancé was pretty much of the same opinion that it lacked seasoning. The biggest let down on the plate for both of us was the so called mini roasties, these were in fact very small cubes of overcooked and burnt pieces of potatoes and added zero value or taste to the plate. We dutifully cleared our plates as we were both very hungry, however we were both left feeling hungry still and not filled up at all. It then took a while to attract the attention of one of the two servers so we could pay our bill. And it was after I had paid that I was left with a very sour taste in my mouth.......... A discretionary service charge of 10% had been added onto the bill without checking it was ok to do so, and I was only aware of this charge after I had paid and checked my receipt when leaving. Now I am of the opinion that good service deserves to be rewarded however that is my choice to make, and certainly in this case the service we had received did not in fact warrant any form of extra monetary reward from us. So just on this fact alone I will never return to this company's restaurants as you took more money from me than you were in fact authorised to do so !!!!! The poor food could have been an off day and we would have given it another bite of the pie ! But after pretty much stealing from me, never again !!!

First time visiting a Pieminister & I only wish I had more time to spend there. Got a lighter pie and side, but every bite was delicious. Our server Joseph knew the menu well and was brilliant at helping navigate the allergens for myself. Will definitely visit again and go for something heavier. 10/10 - which is something I rarely say.

We found this place by accident as we were looking for somewhere to eat. Wow absolutely delicious. The pie was fantastic firm pastry and the filling was stuffed to the brim and very tasty.

The pie here is really good and filling. And when I thought that I couldn’t enjoy eating anything anymore as I was so full, the sticky toffee pudding really hit me hard as it was so comforting. It was warm and moist but then blended well with the vanilla ice cream. Top tier.

Top notch pie! Went with work and had the Moolin Rouge, mash and peas. Pie was beautiful. I'd only ask 2 things. 1. Bring gravy out in a bigger boat (as in double), Yorkshire lads love gravy. 2. Put Hendos on the table as standard. Definitely going again!
Mike F — Google review
The staff were really nice, very attentive and friendly. They were able to accommodate a table for 7 and a dog without a reservation, which was amazing! The food was really tasty. We had a variety of pies between us, and everyone enjoyed it. The menu accommodates for vegetarians and vegans which is a huge plus. Only slight complain would be that the mash was a bit cold. But overall we really enjoyed it here. The lunch menu deal is a good offer! We'll definitely be going back.

Colleagues from the local office took us there, pies in many variations. Every once in a while I try these pies just to rediscover I don't like them. Pastry might be practical packaging, but not tasty, for me at least. But the overall experience was fine, guess the same ingredients could make tastier food, most of the food apart from pastry is actually good.

The menu includes hot fried chicken, NY slice pizzas, cocktails, and bottomless brunch options. The restaurant is known for its signature Nashville chicken sandwiches, mouthwatering tacos, and creative drink options such as berry bellini and Aperol Spritz.
I recently stopped by this cozy little spot for drinks, it’s got a great vibe. The art on the walls adds a nice touch without feeling over the top, and the whole place just feels really welcoming. Service was on point too, our waiter Lucy was super friendly. The manager, Henry, is great at what he does, making sure everything runs smoothly and guests are happy. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

If you liked Lucky Fox, this is as close as it could get in Sheffield! The fried chicken strips were so delicious especially with the buffalo sauce and the truffle aioli! My husband loves their wings so much! They are spicy and full of flavor. The fries are alright (Lucky Fox’s were just exceptional). Overall love it and would recommend it!

Great service but awful food. The food does not look the same as the photos from other reviews - it looks like they've made big changes to the recipes. The photo below is of what is supposed to be fried chicken tenders that they're asking £13 for. Do not recommend at all.

First time visit. One of the best plates of loaded fries I’ve ever eaten. Huge portion size for the price (£8.50) and simply delicious. My friends struggled to eat their plates. Loaded fries could easily be shared. Enjoyed a couple espresso martinis too which were well made. Lively tunes playing in the background and set us up nicely for our night out. Will definitely return.

Popped into Terrace Goods for a spot of lunch with my daughter. The restaurant was busy with several groups enjoying bottomless lunches. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the mall. Our waitress was quick to our table, she took our order and explained there may be a delay due to the amount of custom. Despite this our food was quick to arrive. Pork belly tacos, beef birria tacos and 5 BBQ chicken wings to share. Food was delicious, chicken wings were large and covered in tasty sauce. The beef tacos were amazing, the sauce absolutely tasty. With my daughter's student discount the food and drink came in under £30 which was great value. Overall the food, service and atmosphere was five stars. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

V OR V Grill House is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant located in Sheffield, offering innovative plant-based dishes with global influences. The kitchen uses seasonal, heritage ingredients and open-fire cooking to create unique items like jerk-spiced oyster mushrooms with pineapple scotch bonnet jam and red cabbage sauerkraut, salt-baked celeriac with sage butter and chanterelles, or BBQ hispi cabbage with rum raisins and brown butter hollandaise.
Perhaps the best kebab I've had! We had a celeriac döner each, along with sides of labneh and jester potatoes. It was incredible, everything tasted so fresh. Particularly enjoyed how the celeriac was cooked like an authentic döner. We loved it so much we went back the week after for another kebab.

I was so excited to try their mushroom kebab when I saw them in the market - but that was kinda disappointing.. was way too dry, tasteless and never had this kind of chewy mushroom like that .. tasted like a one week old chewing gum .. it was so hard to eat … when I tried to nicely speak with one of the staff member privately there .. he was just grinning mockingly in my face “who are you? anyway doesn’t matter, I’m busy now” … I think this kind of reaction not customer friendly communication .. felt almost more disappointment than the dry kebab for £12 …. for this price might expect a little bit more. Been keep trying support locals but don’t think will give one more chance to them.. sorry!

We ordered the potato diner bowl and the diner kebab from their tent at the food festival. They were both absolutely huge and we only just managed to finish them. There was so many flavours going on and some really interesting ingredients.
Abi L — Google review
Paid a visit to the V or V Grillhouse at Sheffield Plate where I had the mushroom kebab. The bread, salad and pickles were all tasty - full of flavour and texture. The pide bread in particular was so chewy and delicious. Overall a very nice sandwich. Couple of downsides - the mushrooms were so tough that I struggled to bite through them which meant I ended up taking them out of the sandwich and eating some of it separately or just not eating it at all. It was hard to enjoy everything all together so I would have preferred the mushrooms to be in more bitesize chunks or shredded so that the sandwich could have been eaten as is. There was a really nice seasoning on the mushrooms but the difficulty I had eating them was a bit disappointing. Also, the sandwiches didn't come on a plate and were served just in paper meaning you had to just eat as is - normally I wouldn't have an issue with this but the aforementioned issue with the mushrooms meant it was a tricky eat and the wooden fork provided split in two during the meal. It's great to see vegan places thriving in the city though so I'm glad to have tried it and to support a local biz.

We had an excellent lunch in the Sheffield Plate today. The food from the V OR V Grill House didn’t disappoint and was up to the standard we have come to love at the restaurant in Kelham Island. The tastes, flavours and textures are unbelievable! Who needs meat when these wizards can create so delicious food with humble vegetables? We enjoyed our lunch so much we have pencilled in another visit next week when we shall try some small plates. I can’t wait to try the crispy squash. See you soon

As big lovers of the original V or V we were excited to try this new plant based kebab shop. Sadly it was quite disappointing, the mushroom was tough and tasteless making it very difficult to eat. It was also quite expensive compared to the other nearby food places, and was overall not worth the money.

Ordered and visited in person a few times before, the food is always amazing. Ive had the ribs and burgers when im craving candian style food and they are always on point. The staff are super friendly and efficient! Just Ordered my first clicn and collect and with the discount it worked our cheaper than a fast food burger and fried and the quality is what better. Table of 9. Booked tables for 7pm. Shown to the table and given menus. From that point on…… disaster! Took food order with Drinks order. 40mins later cocktails turn up. Then to be told, they can’t do one because they haven’t got the drinks to make it. 1 hour & 20 mins later we get the other cocktail and the Drinks. Complain regarding the food is taking a while at 8:50pm. Eventually got our food but wasn’t worth the wait. I had to stop off at McDonalds to get my children a McFlurry…….. cause I was concerned how long that would take to get ice cream out from TGI’s kitchen! Also didn’t order any other drinks for the same reason. Every table around us was left dirty with empty plates and glasses. Another table asked us if we are having bad service. Shocking! If you really are desperate for TGI, I strongly advise you to miss this one and try the one in the shopping mall opposite. i”m definitely not going to another TFI I haven’t mentioned the prices!!! I basically paid £15 for a small plate of Nachos and £6.20 for a bottle of Budweiser!!! it’s got very young adults with little to none hospitality skills. The Management and TGI HQ is to blame for this place. I can’t see this place staying open for long. AND they added 10% on the bill for service!! Hahahaha. Thought they did that as a joke hahahah.

It's been a long time since we went to a TGI restaurant, and based on the experience this time it will be a very long time before we return ! The service by the staff was just about acceptable, however the food itself was tasty because of the famous sauce, the portion sizes for the cost were an absolute joke ! And the offer of 2 for 1 on the cocktails is just a huge con ! As the cost of 1 cocktail is a huge £16 for pre-mixed rubbish ! We had a main each and a drink each with a total bill of £64 ! For fast food mediocrity. Oh and my food came on a Child sized plate ! The food in the picture cost an unbelievable £21 ! I've had better food and bigger portions in a Wetherspoon Pub for a quarter of the price ! I fail to see the attraction or hype of this chain !!!

Absolutely disgusting waiting for over 2 hours Throwing the cutlery on the dirty tables taking so long for everything I’ve been here for more than 2 hours and the starters took one hour The crazy part is that the shop is empty They also made us wait at the bar for table while the place being empty which is their strategy of getting extra money from the bar Very smart strategy This is an edited review as I wrote the above before I receive the food One of the pork ribs came cold and when we said the manager came all out with an attitude Where did the respect for the customer go? Absolute disappointment

Most shocking restaurant we have been to in a long time. Don't normally post a review when we have a bad experience but I feel like we have to as it sounds like it's not just us who have had the same issue looking at other reviews. When we first arrived, we was waiting a while stood at the door entrance waiting for someone to acknowledge us and show us to our previously booked table. When we finally got shown to our table, the gentleman said 'if there's anything you need then give us a shout', but after waiting 20 minutes for him to return, we gave in and booked our meal via the QR code given on the menu thinking it would be a faster service. Wrong we was. After 50 minutes waiting, I managed to catch another waiters attention seen as our original waiter was still nowhere to be seen. I said that I can understand that the food still isn't here seen as you seem busy, but we haven't even received our drinks yet (bottle of rose wine). The waiter told me to point to the wine we ordered to which she replied that the wine is out of stock. Not only would it of been nice to of been told that it was out of stock instead of having to ask 50 minutes later but also offered me an alternative bottle of wine which was cheaper then the bottle we ordered. She said there's nothing she can do about it. I'm not bothered about the fact the alternative wine was cheaper, I'm bothered about the fact there was no offering of a refund of difference or the fact that we could still be sat there for a while if I didn't say anything. We was sat there for nearly 2 hours and in that time, there was still empty tables with food stacked on them which hadn't been cleared for other customers. They was either understaffed or poorly run. My guess is poor management looking at previous reviews knowing this isn't a one off. We were late for our gig at the arena as we didn't expect to be having one course taking 2 hours. Never again!

It pains my heart to leave a 1* after going to this tgi's since i was 8/9 years old, im now 25. In the past, it was brilliant, we looked forward going here with a large family for special events, we now travel as a smaller family as i guess thats life. The food is okay, but takes ages to come out, whilst its still hot, the place is dead, day in day out. The service is crap due to them prioritising Deliveroo and Uber Eats, you see barely any customers, only delivery drivers. If i could give 2*s, it would be because they still sing Happy Birthday the same old way.
Cameron D — Google review
Frankly embarrassing - I’m shocked how much this place has deteriorated. Family of 4 (two children under 6) went for a birthday celebration. The place is embarrassingly understaffed - No one to greet at the door, over an hour wait for food, and very challenging to get table service. Food was also fairly poor quality and over cooked. We witnessed other parties leave before receiving their orders due to unacceptable waits - we should have left at this point. No drink refills (despite buying them) and I had to go to my car to get my children water, as the bar was closed and no service staff were available to even provide them a glass of water. My children are 5 and 3 years old. I wish I was joking or exaggerating this. Genuinely alarming lack of staff. The staff are aware of the issue and just recurrently apologised. I’d say it’s not even fit to stay open based on last night and I would say definitely avoid. I even struggled to find someone to pay the bill! Really disappointed as we used to love TGIs, the franchise should be ashamed this restaurant represents them and continues to operate as it does.
Rob — Google review
Horrendous! Booked table of 7 at 5pm for Grandson's 6th birthday tea. Queued at least 15 minutes to get in, got seated & drinks order taken. Table sticky & windows filthy. Ordered food & waited & waited! Loads of takeaway delivery drivers hanging about in reception & seemed they got priority, but even they were complaining about the wait. At 6.30 we got our starters. Awful presentation, food average at best. Had to ask for cutlery, which was just plonked in the middle of the table. No clean glasses for water, no draft beer, cocktails pre made, & tables uncleared. The waiter did his best, but was told not to give a food waiting time. At 7pm we still had no food & the kids were starving, so we walked out, as did quite a few other tables. This place is seriously badly managed & we definitely won't be returning! Can honestly say this was the worst restaurant experience any of us has ever had!

Fantastic place. Staff are friendly, cocktails were gorgeous. The halloumi sticks were incredible and the ribs... Don't start me on the ribs... Just perfect, they were the best ribs I have ever had and I will definitely go back for them again! And good portion too! The only thing that let the place down was that I bought some of the oaties biscuits to take home and they were pretty soft and below par. Well worth going there to eat though!

The food was absolutely delicious, the starters i had dumplings and they were absolutely supreme, had the halloumi fries and they were cooked to perfection. Had the steak and eggs the steak was a bit overcooked for me (asked for medium rare) but i can get over that. For sure will be returning. Thank you for a lovely experience! 👍

The attention and decoration of this restaurant is a really nice escape from a busy day. Inside has a feeling that you are in a vintage market with low music. I went on a thursday to order the special menu they have for dinners and it was delicious. For starter I ordered dumplings which has a supreme chipotle sauce on the side. For mains pan fried sea bass and chicken milanese both were really well cook and with balanced flavours. The dessert was perfect not too sweet and with a nice fresh taste. The staff is really kind and friendly.

The macaroni & cheese is to die for! So rich & creamy. I highly suggest adding the streaky bacon. Cooked to a perfect crisp! The salad was a bit soggy but honestly who cares about the greenery when you have an amazing pasta bowl of yumminess!! Their iced tea is fancy too, comes with an orange slice & fresh mint. My husband had their buttermilk chicken burger & had no problem subbing the sweet potato fries (he's already sweet enough awww) for regular fries. The chicken was crispy yet moist on the inside! He had 2 beers, their private branded bottle & then an english budweiser which is much different than the North American counterpart. If you didn't get it by now, we will definitely be back while we are staying in Sheffield for the next 5 weeks :) PS: The service rocked too! Very attentive. The only thing I have to suggest is to let your patrons know that the tip is included on the bill so we don't double tip ;) Cheeky not saying anything.

Came here during my visit to Sheffield out of a friend's recommendation. Love every part of it! We ordered from Greek Gods, Viet Da Nang, and Jimmy's Burgers. All the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! I ate the chicken gyros and it was really appetising. I also ordered a mocktail from the bar. I must give credit to the bartender (who said he was new but indeed did a fantastic job) for the refreshing and delectable drink. He was also very friendly and understanding (assuring me that the mocktail was definitely zero alcohol). Thank you! 😊

An incredible food hall with a wide variety of cuisines to suit all tastes. There’s also a bar with a good selection of beers and spirits. At each vendor, you order and collect a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. This gives you the option to try food from all the vendors for your meal. The chicken strips from Dodo covered in garlic, honey and Parmesan were incredible. Service is friendly and helpful across the site. The only downside is the cooking smells. My clothes smelt like I’d cooked the food myself when I left. Which wasn’t pleasant.

The smash burger I had at the cutlery works was... smashing! You do have to pay extra (50p) for a sauce for your chips but there's a good range and the chips are nice and crispy. It was a bit quiet when I went but I think the atmosphere would be better on weekends or evenings.

Loved the set up of Cutlery Works. Old industrial building buzzing with food / drink options. Tough to pick, but opted for That Kick which proved to be an excellent decision! Tried their Mie Goreng and Black Magic sauce which was all delicious!

We got a the leopard pie margarita and cheese garlic bread and birria tacos and the food was amazing as well as the vendors. The staff behind the bar were also friendly and welcoming overall we had a really good experience and will definitely be back again.

I recently tried the Chicken with rice bowl with curry sauce at Salt and Pepper Co and it was absolutely delicious. The spices were perfectly balanced and every bite was full of flavor. The service was also top-notch. I highly recommend this dish to anyone who's planning to visit Salt and Pepper Co ,it's a must try.

There are a wide variety of restaurants available from all over the globe. If looking at the stalls is overwhelming, you can scan the QR code and browse the menus on there, and can also order and pay online too, though there is a £1 fee for this. You then get a text when your food is ready and need to go to the booth to collect it. There were plenty of seats available, we were there at around 11am. We got the chicken chipotle tacos meal deal, and the chicken tikka naanwich.

Patisserie Valerie in Sheffield is a delightful destination for anyone with a sweet tooth or a craving for light meals. This charming café, part of a long-standing chain that began its journey in 1926, offers an exquisite selection of handmade cakes and pastries that are sure to impress. The ambiance reflects the elegance of continental-style bistros, complete with traditional furnishings and artistic touches reminiscent of bohemian culture.
Very friendly and professional staff. Been there quit few times. Patisserie Valerie knows how to create and serve beautiful and tasty cakes and coffee! Best customer service around town! My girlfriend also ordered a birthday cake from Patisserie last year, it left me speechless! Perfect place to take your other half for a delicious cake!

Amazing customer service - didnt have to wait too long to get a table for three. The staff member was kind enough to ask if we had any specific dietary requirements and was able to tell us which cakes were kosher (didn't have gelatine). Definitely visiting again!

Love love love this place. This is one of my favourite restaurants to have Afternoon Tea. I'm in love with the varieties of cakes, scones, eclaires and macaroons. The mocha is nice too. It has a lovely atmosphere and cosy. I would advice you to book a table in advance because this restaurant is always full especially during weekends. The staffs are always polite and caring. I would definitely come again.
KD A — Google review
Took my Goddaughter for afternoon tea as a very kind friend gave me a voucher they couldn't use. Tasty sandwiches but they are very small - was glad of the mini quiche and 2 scones (one cheese, one fruit) each. Tasty hot chocolate (good when you're with young people who don't drink tea yet). My God daughter enjoyed a few of the cakes - the fruity mousse one was my favourite!
Rachel P — Google review
Sandwiches on the afternoon tea were a bit poor, however everything else was lovely! The miniature cakes and scones were delicious, and the actual tea itself was some of the best teas I've ever drank.
Brittany L — Google review
The signature cakes are amazing. The Strawberry Gateau and Madame Valerie are to die for. But the breakfast items aren't good value for money. The portion is really small for the price. And some staff members here are always a bit rude.

Established back in 1926 in London's Soho, Patisserie Valerie is renowned for its range of continental-style baked goods. Paying homage to the bohemian café culture, find traditional bistro furnishings and Toulouse Lautrec-style cartoons inside, along with a pristine pastry counter displaying spectacular hand-crafted celebration cakes, individual treats, and lots more. Served throughout the day, guests can enjoy signature patisserie, as well as breakfasts, lunches, and fine tea and coffee. Forget Starbucks & costa coffee this place wins every time .

Great place for lunch (yummy hot sandwiches or lasagna is what we like to order) and/or lots of French cakes and bakes! Amazing croissants and eclairs and lots of different fancy cakes. Great stuff! Love to have a girly lunch here with my mum or sisters.

The Lescar, located on Sharrow Vale Road, is a beloved local spot offering seasonal cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. With two gardens, one in the front and a spacious one at the rear featuring jazz performances some nights, it's an ideal place to unwind. Known for its acclaimed Sunday roasts, including the popular 21-day aged sirloin beef dish with nourishing garnishments, The Lescar provides a warm welcome and great value for money.
Dan the bar man is absolutely outstanding! He crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had – from a perfectly balanced Mojito and smooth Espresso Martini to a refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri and a spot-on Tommy’s Margarita. Each drink was made with real care and attention to detail. On top of the exceptional cocktails, Dan brings service with a smile and a genuinely friendly, welcoming manner that makes the whole experience even better. He has a great way of making you feel at ease and clearly takes pride in what he does. If you’re looking for top-notch cocktails and fantastic service, Dan is the one to see. Highly recommend!

Really great atmosphere with a great selection of drinks. The food isn’t the best though, classic pub grub with nothing special. Plenty of seating areas for bigger groups.

Great spot. Had Sunday lunch for 6 having reserved a dog-friendly table. Lovely, spacious dining area. Lunch menu was spot on and everyone enjoyed their meals. Finished off with a recommendation from the bar tender, Joel, with espresso Martinis. The best we had ever had!

Beautiful food - 6 meals (1 vegetarian) and every one of them absolutely divine! Puddings were so hearty and delicious. Service staff were so warm and friendly - no rushing us through so we could really relax and enjoy our time together. Highly recommend and we will definitely return. Thank you Lescar!

We went to a wedding reception at the Lescar last night. It was a venue that I’d strongly recommend to others. Everything was excellent! The staff were fantastic - they couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Pat, who was on the bar for us, deserves a particular mention: he went over and above to make the night brilliant! Thanks Pat!

I had such a lovely experience at The Lescar! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the service was absolutely outstanding. A special mention goes to Alla, who really went above and beyond – she was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. It’s rare to come across someone who makes such a difference to the whole experience, but she definitely did. I’ll definitely be coming back, and would highly recommend The Lescar to anyone looking for great service and a wonderful pub atmosphere.

Had such a great time at The Lescar. The pub itself has a lovely vibe, but what really stood out was the brilliant service from Charis. Trippets Lounge Bar is an independent establishment known for its wonderful jazz music and cozy atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind after a long day, offering delicious meals and drinks. The bar boasts skilled mixologists who can craft cocktails and gin mixes tailored to your taste. With regular live jazz performances and a menu featuring internationally inspired dishes, it's the perfect spot for a quirky night out in the city.
We booked a table for 4 on Saturday evening. Lovely chilled atmosphere there. Live music - jazz performed by amazing Sally Doherty & Paul Kilvington. Excellent friendly service. Delicious menu of tasty plates and wide selection of drinks. The portions are a little bit small, but very well presented and good value for money. Great experience. Highly recommend this place.

Thursdays closes at 9pm Nice people 1st class Musicians (tour with internationally renowned stars) never tried food. But £6.40 for flat Estrella never again. I went for the music but really not worth the expense and effort for the early closing times on Thursday. Sheffield has a vibrant Student community that isn't utilised.
Keith D — Google review
Beautiful venue, the live Jazz is fantastic and sets a great atmosphere, always very talented and play a great set length. Service was amazing, tallish male was great, very attentive, and made things more enjoyable. Cheese board could be a little more extensive and slightly larger portion for olives. Pint glasses are from 2018 which is a little too outdated, and shows.
Jake C — Google review
It’s a lovely jazz bar. Good atmosphere, very quiet. I mean it’s not a noisy bar. The day I went to had a live jazz performance, which is quite nice. It’s a good place to chill with your friends and enjoy jazz. Drinks are nice. Quite strong for me, but I liked it! Nibbles are a bit expensive though. Not suitable for sharing. Good experience!

Had a meal here for a birthday celebration and experience was very good. Especially loved the desserts, the food plates are small but not overly small so still a decent portion. Staff were very friendly and the live jazz band was a lovely addition to the atmosphere. Car parking on street is expensive but there is a much cheaper car park literally one street behind it. If I had to make a suggestion we had steak but would have been good to be asked how we wanted it as I prefer mine quite well done but it was still enjoyable.

Pub
The Nursery Tavern, located on Eccy Road, is a popular spot for students and locals alike. This bustling pub offers live sports, live music, and a wide variety of drinks including cocktails, gins, beers, and ciders. The spacious interior has been a staple of the area for decades and offers great value compared to other venues on Ecclesall road. On game days, especially during England matches, the outdoor space transforms into an open-air stand with a huge screen.
This pub was my second home whilst at uni and it was great to see on our latest visit that it has upgraded and updated and remains a great place for a drink and for watching sport. The beer garden is great for live events and would strongly recommend.
Glen N — Google review
Hostile welcome and overpriced. I have never been to this establishment before, but won’t be visiting again. The ‘security guards’ at the gate were stood blocking the entrance as we walked up. They didn’t say anything as we approached, just stood there looking at us with arrogance? I was expected to be either asked for ID or to be allowed to enter? But no words were used to communicate? And as I went to get my ID, I was told it didn’t need to be viewed. If that was the case, why not move aside? Seems security here are on some sort of imperious intimidation ego trip. In addition to this, the price of drinks were exorbitant considering the area.

One of the male staff was so lovely to me and my friends. There was a guy that was sticking around our table and making us really uncomfortable. After he left the staff member came over to us and asked us if we were okay. He also offered us a free round of drinks as a result of the incident which made us all liven up again. This is a really lovely establishment who care about their customers whole heartedly. Definitely one of my favourite pubs.
Talayah G — Google review
Went in as a group of 3, one of the members was disabled with a walking stick. Entered past bouncers and another bouncer kicked us out because it was student night. Not sure when it become custom for a public house to only serve members of the public who were below a certain age.
Daniel B — Google review
Disappointed with the bottomless brunch experience. While we understand our group was large, the service was unacceptably slow throughout. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the waiter/manager - rude and unnecessarily confrontational. They even suggested giving us free drinks in exchange for a 5 star review, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate. Wouldn’t recommend based on this experience.

Friendly staff with a steady stream of customers passing in and out of the establishment, reflecting the regard in which the spot is held. Decent breakfast/lunch spot with good vegan/veggie options, drinks and some quite customisable options. No reservations so be prepared to wait outside. I had the vegan bagel which was a little plain but quite hearty for a vegan breakfast (defo needed sriracha, which was offered upon it being served). Nice coffee, too. My two little critiques are that the plate was unnecessarily large and empty for just a bagel, and we were initially greeted with quite rude, blunt service.

Amazing food as always, but today for the first time I tried the jalapeno and cheddar cornbread (gluten free) for the first time and was blown away....!! So so good 😊

Blown away by how kind the service was. One of the staff could see I was struggling to eat as I had my newborn with me and offered to take care of my son for a short while so I could eat for a few minutes. Food was great too, crayfish Caesar salad and full English are definitely worth trying. Coffee was also 10/10.

Came here for a bottomless brunch on a quiet Tuesday. Food was really tasty, and Josh worked so hard to make sure we weren't left with empty glasses for long - managed to nearly get through all the cocktails on offer! Great value with their student discount as well, will definitely be back soon.

Be careful with student bottomless brunch. I called to amend a booking to a student bottomless (£25 instead of £34) and was told by the gentleman on the phone this was okay provided we bring our IDs, and he confirmed he would amend the booking to a student bottomless brunch. We all brought our student IDs, but were told when paying that student bottomless brunches were not available on Saturdays and we would have to pay full price, despite being told over the phone we would be given student prices, bearing in mind the person I spoke to knew full well it was on a Saturday. The bottomless brunch at the Bloomery is great, lovely food, lovely drinks, but we feel somewhat cheated having been told in confidence we would be given the student price, and we were charged £9 extra.

Arrived for breakfast and to watch British and Irish lions. Ordered breakfast at kick off. Told chef was new and would be a delay. Only one bar staff. Got orange juice and cups of tea. Waited 40 mins no sign of breakfast no up date or communication from bar person. After 1 hour and 10 minutes daughter went to ask what was going on. Could we speak with the manager? Apparently upstairs but she couldn’t leave bar to contact him? Food eventually arrive 1hr 20 minutes after order. Why do establishments think excuses like manager uncontactable, new chef and short staffed are acceptable excuses for poor service. Surely a managers job is to manage these variables and ensure staffing levels are sufficient. The one bar staff did an admirable job dealing with everything. But she shouldn’t have been put in that position. There were plenty of others in the same situation. It will interesting to see if the next lions match will be the same. Seen similar reviews and the insipid “your feedback helps us improve “ clearly not!

It’s a nice place and mainly students. I was meeting a friend and arrived early and got a frosty reception from the bar tender as if I was not welcome. Only a few people inside and a big place. The food was very basic I had Avocado salad which was a few salad leaves with red onions and peppers. The Avocado was not ripe. Small portion as well. Unhelpful and unfriendly staff and not good food despite the reviews. I will not be returning.
Amar S — Google review
Bottomless Brunch was no such thing and needs referring to Trading Standards. Food was slow arriving and was limited to one item (not bottomless then). Drinks were also slow arriving. The food and drinks were nice. The service, however, was appalling which led to extreme and unprovoked rudeness from the staff member and standoffishness from the subsequent staff member. Complaining at the time got us nowhere, complaining to head office got us nowhere and someone blaming us for everything that was wrong written by someone who was not even there - perhaps just backing up there staff. I'm sure they will respond to this with words. A better response though would be to correct their misleading offers, to serve people politely and efficiently and for further training in customer services. None of us will be returning. Plenty of my reviews give places 4/5 stars.

Pub
The Kelham Island Tavern, situated in the historic Kelham Island area of Sheffield, is a charming pub with a rich history dating back to the 1830s. Renowned for its carved wooden bar and tiled floors, this establishment offers a warm welcome and a wide selection of craft beers and real ales. The pub has been recognized by CAMRA for its exceptional range of around a dozen real ales and craft beers on tap, including offerings from local breweries such as Bradfield Brewery.
Immaculately kept/served cask beer. Great range of trad UK and modern US styles. £3.80 bitter/pale. Blue Bee house beers typically more US hopped, dry, bitter and excellent. Efficient and knowledgeable staff. If you're one of few reviewers who felt the staff didn't jolly you up enough then maybe check out hooters instead.

The Kelham Island Tavern is a traditional pub. There is a wide selection of beers lager and cider including six hand pulled cask conditioned real ales the ones we tried were in excellent condition. The bar gets very busy the back room is a bit quieter. There is a nice secluded beer garden. The pub is regularly featured in the camra good beer guide. A visit is highly recommended.

A great pub, not much else to say. Decent selection of craft beers on keg, plus standards and a great cask range. They also do the second best pork pie in Sheffield.

Very good cask ale pub in Sheffield. Solid range of handpumps, simple but practical decor, and always a friendly face to the customer. Good atmosphere, too - a place for getting to know other punters. The only thing I found disturbing was the prominent advertising for Warsteiner beer. As a German, I can confirm this is one of the worst examples of industrial piss among German beers - kind of a German equivalent to Carling. Not to be missed on a pub crawl in the Kelham Island area.

What can I say that hasn't been said already, well, this is quite simply one of the best real ale pubs in the world. I hadn't visited for 13 years or so and it was just as good as I remembered. A great coffee shop, definitely worth a visit! I have been to Forge Bakehouse (2 brunches) several times and I keep going back. Baked goods and break are of very high quality, service has always been very good. Personal favourite, the almond croissant, hands down, best almond croissant I ve had!
Eleni R — Google review
The pastel was excellent, with a crisp pastry casing that was the perfect thickness and a rich, creamy filling. The chocolate cookie was rather average, though the banana and peanut muffin was lovely. The icing was tasty, despite the muffin itself being slightly too dense. The texture of the candied banana and peanuts added a nice touch elevating it. However, the establishment is not the cheapest of bakeries.

I had brunch at the Forge Bakehouse. They microwave their food and eggs. Eggs are rock hard, way overcooked and the food overall doesn’t taste good. We are not happy with the food there sorry to say.

So so disappointed... Forge bake house was my fav cafe for many years but feel like since they've expanded the quality of pastries and service has gone down massively. Got a bear claw croissant at 7:30am at the train station, you'd think it would be freshly baked, but it was super dry and no filling inside!! They used to have so much almond/marzipan inside!! The girl who worked there today seemed like she hates people, never seen anyone so fed up with life :D not sure what changed but won't be going there again sadly :(

In the area we had dropped some teenagers off at a function and thought we would find somewhere to eat out. Friday night 8.00pm everywhere we tried was fully booked. Then found this little gem of a place and ended up being glad we couldn't get in the other packed places. Really nice atmosphere with music playing in the background. Limited menu but everything on it looked nice and the flat bread pizzas we had were excellent. Nice choice of drinks and very friendly staff. Turned out it would have been our choice of venue had we had a choice. Bet it's nice in summer to sit out side. For a relaxing night as a couple of with friends would highly recommend. might be wise to book

Wonderful venue for our pre wedding evening drinks. Thank you so much Sarah and the team for making our evening so special when welcoming family and friends to Sheffield for our wedding. The bar is beautiful- especially with all the pretty lights on a dark winter evening. Lovely lay out for our guests to mingle and everyone enjoyed the food. Great choice of sharing boards, small plates. Sarah had kindly set up a movie on the big screen with colouring and entertainment for the children. We loved our evening and can't thank Kelham Kitchen enough. Sarah & Scott xx

The place is quite nice if lacking in a bit of atmosphere, the barstaff was lovely, very attentive, the food choice (not brunch) was extremely limited, only 4 dishes plus pizza. My steak was OK, but overpriced. I didn't hate it, we had a nice night, but it's just not quite there for me.
Jane L — Google review
Nice wine bar in Kelham with lovely wine menu and good vibes! Staff were friendly and kept up with busy Saturday night crowd. Can’t speak for food but menu looks good.
Thea A — Google review
A decent little bar next to the river with an outdoor drinking space. Prices are quite high but in-line with the other bars in this popular area close to Kelham Island. It's modern and offers a decent selection of drinks.

If you're looking for a vibrant night out in Sheffield, look no further than Manahatta. This New York-inspired cocktail bar is a feast for the senses with its eye-catching graffiti-style decor, plush leather seating, and sparkling disco balls that set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. Every weekend, live DJs spin tunes to keep the energy high while you sip on creative cocktails like maple old fashioneds or refreshing watermelon palomas—especially enticing during their two-for-one cocktail specials from Sunday to Friday.
Celebrated my birthday last night. Everything was amazing, food, music, Photo Booth and cute toilets. Especially the service, I did not catch our server’s name but she went above and beyond to make the night go smoothly. Thank you so much!!

I had a fantastic night out with friends! The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were constantly topped up, which made the evening even better. The service was spot-on—our server, Caitlin was friendly, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was lively, and we felt genuinely welcomed. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We visited for an evening bottomless party. Our host was Taylor and she was amazing, attentive all evening, friendly and we were never left waiting for a drink. Hands down the best bottomless in Sheffield, the drinks and food were top quality, and made even better by lovely staff. Highly recommend! Thanks Taylor x

Fantastic atmosphere lovely staff great food! Can’t remember the name of the server but she did remind me of Dua Lipa! Thank you lovely lady 😁

I came to Manahatta to experience the bottomless brunch with friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it, the service was excellent. I chose cheesey on the eyes, and it tasted amazing.

Honey was absolutely amazing during my friend’s birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and looked after every detail to ensure we had the best night.Even surprising us with little touches that made my friend feel extra celebrated. Truly exceptional service, and such a lovely person!

Our server Taylor was literally the best bottomless server I had. She made it clear when she would ask for drinks and delivered on her promise 😅. I can usually drink fast but she can serve faster - she is sooo good. I felt so welcome there by all staff in general and loved the atmosphere, food and vibe. Will be coming again!

Brilliant bottomless brunch! Really delicious food and great portions! We especially appreciated being allowed in a little before our booking to set up decorations for our brides hen. Our glasses were never empty and our server Honey was super attentive, I would recommend this bottomless brunch experience to anyone, superstar service!

Cafe
Coffee shop
Pom Kitchen is a vibrant and popular vegan restaurant located in Sheffield. Since 2017, this plant-based cafe has been serving up colorful and nutritious dishes with a unique Pom twist. Known for their show-stopping shakes and hot chocolates, the menu features an array of fruit, vegetables, and raw treats incorporated into refreshing smoothies, breakfast bowls, bagels, salads, and more.
Love this place. Always something interesting on the menu and great for dietary restrictions. Their vegan choices are wide and you aren't just relegated to a boring heavy piece of brownie like a lot of coffee shops.
Jennifer E — Google review
I have visited Pom twice in the past two months. During my first visit, we received our drinks in paper cups and our pastries in a bag, despite sitting outdoors. While the drink was enjoyable and the pistachio croissant delightful, I was left wondering why we were not provided with proper mugs and plates for our pastries. My second visit was unfortunately less satisfactory. Although the beverages and cake were served in the appropriate crockery while we were seated outside, the cakes were excessively dense, overly sweet, and almost sickening, making them impossible to finish. There were two staff members at the adjacent table who began taking photos of their Christmas drinks. This process took a loooooong time, resulting in an awkward atmosphere as we were frequently interrupted by their movements and them taking photos around us, trying to move out of their shots. Their lack of friendliness and consideration for our experience added to the discomfort, and despite expecting their photo session to conclude quickly, it persisted for over 20 minutes. I wish the same level of attention given to marketing their beverages was given to the customers. Just awkward!

I ordered a Pistachio Croissant. It’s super filling and joyful. The pastry is crunchy outside but soft inside, and the custard inside is rich and was oozing out when I bit into the croissant. Staff members are really friendly and helpful. Good vibe with chilled music in the background.

Loved the atmosphere of the café. It’s chic and lovely. We bought a vegan sausage roll and a chocolate and raspberry coconut slice, and they were wonderful.
Nivedha S — Google review
I was blown away by the choice and the quality of this cute little cafe. The staff were so lovely and helpful too. I ordered the sausages and caramelised onion sandwich with a flat white, peanut butter fudge brownie and my friend got the pistachio croissant, they were all delicious! Even if you’re not vegan, you have to try this!

Came here for a vegan take out birthday breakfast. Defo recommend for vegans/veggies in Sheffield. Firstly, as a person who loves pink, this place is a feast for the eyes, too! Plenty of sweet treats (including a little vegan pick n mix), a drinks specials board as well as the usuals, and different sandwiches each time I’ve been in. I think mine was southern-fried ‘chicken’, slaw and sweet chilli on focaccia which was delicious and offered warmed up. Very sweet banoffee-style coffee and a great giant cookie. The girl who served me was an absolute delight and wished me happy birthday which was nice :) A few seats outside the front and a couple inside, too, with a dine-in menu.

I found the place strolling around the city and searched them on Instagram. Their photos looked so appetising and had to test how the food really taste... and the breakfast was so good! We tasted the Pom bowl and board and a couple of teas and I really recommend them. Perfect if you are looking for healthy, vegetarian or vegan options. I also liked that when we were there a supplier entered and left a box with fresh vegetables (lettuces, courgettes...). The waitress were kind and friendly and the decoration was cool too. They also accept dogs in case you are wondering...
Maider E — Google review
Saw an Instagram photo of the valentines hot chocolate and thought I would treat my daughter today, so we popped down and got one, they had three different kinds. She had the gingerbread one, she loved it, just as good as the photos I had seen. Also got some cake and a latte, all really good, my latte could have been hotter though. Would recommend for sure and go back. We did have to queue a little however that wasn't a problem.

Situated on the fringes of the trendy Devonshire Street area, it provides a restorative food menu with creative twists on traditional pub classics. The interior exudes charm with quirky furniture and antique-looking bars serving an astonishing variety of drinks. The real attraction is its DIY Bellinis.
A really great place to go out. Plenty of space to dance or there is plenty of places to sit down and socialise too. The drinks are reasonably priced with a great cocktail and shot selection. The Lemon drizzle is great! An all round fantastic bar!

If you're looking for a fantastic party atmosphere this is the No 1 place. The staff are incredible and the music is brilliant. Such lovely staff on security as well. Nimah who runs the bar is a complete gentleman and that's why I I'll always return. A wonderful night is guaranteed.

Top place for a good time! A vibrant and welcoming bar with its laid-back atmosphere and excellent service. A wide selection of cocktails, great food makes it a perfect spot for those looking to explore new flavors. The staff are super friendly, the venue itself is cozy yet spacious, with a rustic charm that makes it perfect for both casual nights out and special occasions!
Syl R — Google review
Bit of a mixed experience. Service was fast and efficient, drinks were reasonably priced. Far too loud for how small the place is. Women's toilets were gross, one toilet seat missing, gross soggy toilet paper littering the other two cubicles.
Abbie K — Google review
Lively vibrant bar in the heart of town. If you like a cocktail you'll love this place.. great pint of guinness too 100% will be back
Michael C — Google review
This is a nice, cozy local pub. They have live music on some nights. Variety of single malt scotch selection from different regions. It's an interesting place if you would like to taste some different whisky. They also have a large selection of cocktails.

Lovely Pub...everything is clean, staff are friendly and now they have an outside area with heating to sit with your dogs...amazing...love it
Dragon P — Google review
Lovely location and nice pub inside and the lake is a lovely setting, however the lack of real ale was not something we expected and the signs outside could do with being updated.
Paul M — Google review
First time I've been in since the new management took over. The pub has been redecorated and looks bright and cheerful. Good beer, too.
Keith B — Google review
Wonderful setting, just a great pity that they no longer serve any real ales despite the outside and interior signage clearly advertising that they do.
Chris M — Google review
Lovely little pub in a great chilled out setting overlooking a duck pond. Wide range of drinks to choose from at a reasonable price, Great atmosphere and service with a smile.
Richard W — Google review
Nice pub but no ale so won't be going again. A shame really but they say they can't sell enough real beer.
Chris J — Google review
Lovely small pub on the border of Milton, reasonably priced with a lovely beer garden
Richard M — Google review
Well the Pub is in a lovely position overlooking the lakes !! However there are 3 wooden seats just outside the pub overlooking the lakes but a car is nearly always blocking the seats so you can only see the car !! There is ample parking so really don’t know why it is allowed
