We had an amazing dinner here. The food was very good and portions very generous. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.There is a good selection of different dishes and we chose typical Alsace food and were not disappointed. Although busy we did not feel rushed to finish our meals.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Chez Yvonne is an authentic gem in the heart of Strasbourg. The atmosphere is cozy and full of character — you can really feel the Alsatian spirit in every detail. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening. The food was simply fantastic: traditional dishes prepared to perfection, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The choucroute garnie and tarte flambée were outstanding, and the local wines paired perfectly. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home and want to come back again. A must-visit when in Strasbourg — highly recommended!

It is a very popular restaurant and it gets very crowded so reservation will be a better choice. The food here is traditional and with reasonable prices and potion. I like the snails and foie gras here very much! It is a little bit pity that the waiter didn’t show me the speciality menu. In general it is worth to try!

You want traditional Alsacian food? This is where you go. Don't take my word for it, take Michelin's. The food is incredible. Every single bite is an entire event. And the service, while almost exclusively in French, is beyond friendly. Feel free to completely reply on the servers for recommendations on food, as well as wine. They will Not disappoint. And as one last perk: for two people, two apps, two mains, two dessert, 4 glasses of wine, and a bottle of sparkling water - €130 (which is very very good btw) Definitely make a reso. This place fills!

Great place. All the dishes are typical for the region, but really well executed. The service was really good. The whole place has a very traditional look.

The place is really nice, despite a reservation we waited a bit. We took a bottle of wine, 2 main dishes and 6 escargots. Nothing to say, food was delicious and tasty. The ribs were extremely favoured, jambon was cooked perfectly, potatoes were tasty, and escargots were a very interesting discovery. Sadly, I didn't like the service at all: they served other people before us, when they came in much later. We ended up spending 2:30 hours in the place for this. Also, price is a bit on the high side for what you eat in my opinion: the wine is especially expensive, but also very good. Can't complain on the quality.

I came here for lunch on a Friday. I got the 2 course lunch deal (€19.90) and chose the cold courgette soup for starters and the fish option for the main. I didn’t have high hopes (I don’t particularly like cold food or fish, but the waitress recommended it so decided to give it a shot) but oh my gosh, the food was absolutely delicious!!! The soup was surprising flavourful (it was a hot day) and the fish was super addictive with the potato and salad 😍 Definitely worth giving it a try at lunch time, really good value! (Didn’t get any dessert as was way to full at this point)

Our favourite restaurant in Strasbourg! They have truly the coolest patio that is semi indoors. It was such a fun setting. The staff were all so kind, and knowledgeable. From the wine recommendations to having fun jokes with the lovely waitress with the imagine dragons tattoo, this was the highlight of our trip. Food was great, wine great, everything great.

Authentic Alsatian restaurant. Great food, very nice local wine selection from the Alsace, recommended by a friendly sommelier. All of that for very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is very nice. Bit small, but that’s ok. You do have too make a reservation. Even on Monday evening. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has a homey cabin vibe to it. Food is very classic Alsatian, restaurant seemed to be filled mostly with locals or French people. Generous portions dishes more on the rustic side.

Today we visited Strasbourg France. After our canal boat cruise, and walking tour, and upon recommendation from our tour guide, Connie, Dan, Kathy & I had a fabulous Lunch at Le Tire-Bouchon. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu, Filet Mignon au Pork Tenderloin, Viennese Veal Escalope. Sides were, Fried Potatoes, Fries & Spaetzle. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly! Our great servers were Nassar Hichan & Edward. They took great care of us. We're saving room for Dessert, to enjoy one of the great Gelato Shoppe's in Strasbourg......

One of the best places my husband and I have ever eaten at! First of all, the food from the "grandmother's menu" is simply top notch! We came to Strasbourg for a mini-vacation and as soon as we had dinner at this place on the first day, we went back there every day for the next few days! We loved it so much, and not a single dish disappointed us. Secondly, the service was really pleasant, the waiters were friendly, spoke English, and the dishes were brought out fairly quickly and were hot. We liked the beef stewed in beer and the pork cheeks stewed in wine the most ✨️😄 So I 100% recommend this place and will recommend it to all my friends ❤️

Wonderful meal and service. Escargots were perfect, my wife had the schnitzel and loved it (and I enjoyed my bite of it too), and the sauerkraut and meat platter was to die for. Great service too. My only complaint was finding out the 1L bottle of still water was 7.50, which is exhorbitant...but everything else was perfect and we would definitely eat here again.

Excellent dinner! We had appetizers, main courses and dessert, plus wine! The best dish was the chicken and veal in puff pastry- a MUST order! We were unfamiliar with many of the dishes so the waitress was kind and explained them to us in English. Service was quick, helpful and kind. Easy walk from town and a great way to see a little more of the area. We had made reservations well in advance and they were able to accommodate a slight time change due to train scheduling, so we appreciated that. Clean bathrooms too! Highly recommend!

They do not offer a menu du jour. The food was quite good. All traditional options. Atmosphere very traditional. Nice seating area outside with barrier blocking the road.

The hotel is beautiful and historic and the service is attentive. However, the food is very mediocre; as a table we got the pork knuckle choucroute, sirloin steak, tartare and three desserts. The main dishes came out in less than 10 minutes and the taste reflected the quick prep, the steak was rubbery and hard to cut, the fries thin and crunchy, the pork knuckle had more fat than meat and the tartar was good but nothing special. In short, I'd say it's a place I'd come back for drinks but definitely not the food. The banana chocolate tart dessert was good.

The historical ambience of this restaurant is so interesting and enjoyable. Staff were reasonably attentive and professional but at times, distracted and frazzled in this busy restaurant. Food is tasty and presented well with generous portions.

The place is absolutely beautiful inside, with charming little hidden corners to sit and relax. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. The chicken dish was fantastic — tender and full of flavor, served with an incredible wine sauce and perfectly cooked spätzle. It all came together beautifully. I can definitely recommend this restaurant for a celebration dinner or any special occasion!

Don’t recommend. Both waiters were frazzled, got our orders mixed up the first time, so we sent back. Second time my steak was rare, not medium like I had ordered and my friends frites were dry and overcooked. We also had to ask for our steak knives, a shame that we didn’t get to try anything there apart from the bread and the wine (which I still had to pay for, even with the messed up orders and empty stomachs we left with).

First time trying Alsatian Sauerkraut - quite different from typical German style! The combination with fish fillets was exceptionally nice. Portion is generous, better for sharing.

Food was great, service was very good and the place is very nice, it was quite a unique experience in a unique building. We went without a reservation but I suggest making a reservation beforehand to ensure a seat in case of a busy night.

This is one of the oldest restaurant in Strasbourg with a rich history and a must visit place if you're in strasbourg. We came here for our 10th year anniversary. There are alot of outdoor as well as indoor seats on 1st and 2nd floor. Overall the food is average, not super fantastic but not surprising given the amount of tourist that folk here. I ordered the beef fillet medium rare and it came medium well. So I didnt even finish the beef. The fish was ordered is decent. Service otherwise is prompt and they speak English well. No issues with other matters except a little disappointed with the food.

Really good choucroute, excellent "Garnie" from the deli downstairs. Online opening hours not helpful at the time we went (lunch only available) but we were so glad we popped in to reserve. Prices comparable to the more tourist "stubs" food better atmosphere not quite so good. Well worth a visit.

Large portion of food, but for big groups of 4-6 it is not recommended as the upper floor restaurant is small. We had the tasting platter which is a lot, and other dishes with pork and sausages. The waitress is curt, but look stressed with crude serving (glasses and plates were placed loudly on the table), other wise she is polite.

What a fantastic store. Everything is absolutely delicious; eggs in aspic, potato and zucchinis gratin , sausages , goose rilette and etc. Perfect place to taste Strasbourg food!

Porcus is one of my favorite places in Strasbourg to buy pork meat. Prices are good like often in Strasbourg.

9/10 for the Rouget dish with vengole. 10/10 for the veal Lacaune dish with artichokes purée. Also 10/10 for the soufflé dessert “soufflé chaud à la pêche blanche et sorbet au thym”. 7/10 for the mille-feuille au chocolat with sorbet chocolate. Lacks freshness. However 10/10 for the starters savory Kugelhopf and micro flammkuchen. So kind careful and attentive service. We were here for dinner. It was my first Michelin star restaurant in France. So nice atmosphere outdoor on an evening of 32 degree summer day surrounded by the nice typical Alsatian architecture and the green all around. The Buerehiesel is an Alsatian house dating from 1607. Around 10 tables of 3 and 5 outdoor under lovely sunshades. Very romantic atmosphere. For the record, the building was brought piece by piece to the park on the occasion of the International Industrial Exhibition of 1895. Her vegetable garden and gazebo came with her. This year marks the year when Strasbourg hosted the international event in the Orangerie Park. Pity it was too gloomy at the tables on the terrace. If you want to see what is on your plate and the nice colors of the dishes and the desserts prefer to book a table inside. Lovely and luminous inside.

Food was great and got much better as the courses went on. The lamb dish on the tasting menu, very creative! My partner enjoyed the frogs legs and sweetbreads. The service was half and half. Some of the staff very attentive others (the younger ones) walking around looking confused. At first we were sat in a hot, stuffy room that was not at all reflective of the pictures we’d seen so be sure to request the Orangerie specifically, as the atmosphere is entirely different in there.

The decoration and ambiance of this restaurant are outstanding. The food is not fancy but excellent comparable to Paris and San Sebastian. We love the scallops and frog legs. The service is not as poor as other reviewers have noted. We were there on a Sunday evening, three nights before Christmas, and the restaurant was full. I will recommend to visitors to Strasbourg.

I went here with my parents and husband for his birthday and we had a wonderful experience. Two of us do not eat seafood so we had to forgo the tasting menu and order a la carte. We ordered 6 dishes total. The a la carte menu was in English and the staff and Somalier were very helpful. The little complementary dishes between meals were so fun. All of our dishes were great. I am personally not a big meat fan so the sides were my favorite. The caramelized sauerkraut (veal dish) was divine. The most memorable dish was actually the apple dessert. I will think back to that often!! In hindsight, I would have requested a table by the floor to ceiling windows if possible. I would have liked a bit warmer lighting and soft music, but as this is my personal preference I will leave 5 stars. Overall I recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in Strausbourgh. Go for the artichokes and the apple for dessert! :))

Excellent food, an Alsatian version of tapas, lovely people, lovely food, not being familiar with the local cuisine it was a great opportunity to try smaller portions. I highly recommend it. if you are in Strasbourg you should give it a go.

This is a place for such moments: Outstanding food tapas-style, excellent service and a very personal touch to everything inside Les Chauvins. Just make sure to book a table!

We had a wonderful lunch here, the escargots in mushrooms was creative and delicious. The beef wrapped in pasta was very different and we enjoyed it immensely. The cheese plate was huge and a bit more than we could handle but they were kind enough to wrap it up for us. Very homey. Very friendly, very enough, and very delicious. Had the pork knuckle with Munster and sauerkraut and the three meats with potatoes. The women serving was very helpful and accommodating.

After following Google Map instructions down a narrow, dimly lit alley we received "You have reached your destination" announcement at a doorway without a sign or light. Upon opening the door, we found ourselves in a hallway with another door. Not at all sure we were at a restaurant, we slowly opened that door and parted a heavy curtain to find a gem! The small restaurant was charming in every way and the service superb. The Alsacian menu was authentic and the food delicious, with a nice selection of wines from Alsace. The unexpected nature of the discovery made for a perfect last evening in Strasbourg. This was definitely a family run business. We did not have a reservation and were lucky to be seated immediately. We both ordered Choucroute Garnie and thought it was some of the best we have tried. Overall a fun experience. I would recommend it.

I found a 4 cm long strip of plastic packaging in my sour cabbage dish. To avoid sounding picky, I waited until after paying to politely mention it to the server. To my surprise, not only did the server not apologize at all, but they also said it was “because of the sour cabbage” and not the restaurant’s responsibility. This kind of attitude is extremely disappointing — poor food quality is bad enough, but the lack of basic courtesy and accountability makes it worse. A truly unpleasant dining experience. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Small and cozy family restaurant, it was decorated very nicely with a Christmas theme. Not in a main street, you will have to search for it. The menu is small and presented on a board. Few starters and main courses, typical Alsatian. The food is very tasty, it has a good quality and is presented in generous portions. You can feel the love and passion from the owner. We recommend to book in advance.

A very special Alsatian home cooked food slightly off the beaten track hidden just behind the Notre Dame church in Strasbourg. The Chef & her sister did a brilliant job. Food is above my expectation. Thank you for the excellent dining experience.

Great spot. The wine list has plenty of older vintages. The service was excellent. English friendly. My only small complaint was the out of season vegetables being served, but they were perfectly cooked. I will be back.

Fantastic family place in the center of Strasbourg. Local cuisine refined and hearty, great tableware. And last but not the least - terrific wine card with both classic and modern wines of Alsace. The host recommended a natur gewurtz which was a bargain for 42 euros. Also they have rare chartreuse but its pricey.

Highly recommend. Classic Alsatian food done right in a beautiful restaurant, centrally located and you can find many old vintages on their wine list which I really appreciated. It’s not the longest wine list, but it’s well done with some gems in it. I especially enjoyed the pork knuckle and spaetzle. We repeated the restaurant on our trip. 10/10

The staff was friendly, and the service was excellent. Escargot was perfect. The sauce and the way they served was cool. We really liked Choucroute and cordon bleu. However, fondant chocolate was quite medium.

Winstub La Vieille Enseigne in Strasbourg is a true gem. The cosy, traditional interior instantly makes you feel at home, full of Alsatian warmth and charm. I had done my homework for places to eat and this did not disappoint. My colleague and I were smitten with the snails and the meats. 💅 It was fancy schmancy and we shall return. The waitresses hit the perfect balance between French sassy and Alsatian efficiency.

My wife and I just ate here and it was absolutely amazing. You could not ask for a better combination of delicious food, great service and wonderful ambiance. I had the escargot and steak with fries and a salad. My wife had onion soup and ham knuckle. For dessert I had crème brûlée and an Alsace coffee. The entire meal was wonderful and the wait staff made sure we were happy with everything. Absolutely recommend when dining out in Strasbourg.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. Tried the crust ham and the shank and they were both delicious. The sides on both dishes were also very tasty. The interior is lively and typical of an Alsatian restaurant. It's very close to the city center but not on an overly busy and touristy street. Highly recommended

I was very excited to try the most famous dish of Alsace which is the choucroute but it came to an extreme disappointed. This restaurant it was recommended to me as the best restaurant to try the choucroute but both me and my husband absolutely hated, this dish is basically boiled different types of sausages and full of fat pork belly, totally flavourless potatoes and extremely acidic cabbage, I’ve paid £24,50 each to get the sensation of not eating well. Unless you like flavourless, extremely fat and acidic food don’t choose this option. Our son ate escalope de veau and it was really good but also very expensive, it costs £26.50. In the other hand the restaurant atmosphere was really good and the staff very friendly. My biggest regret it was I haven’t decided to eat the same dish as my son as I’m sure my review would be very different.

Nice traditional Alsace Wein Stube a few blocks away from the touristy places. Cozy atmosphere. I was there quite early (6 pm) and was the only one there, which was a bit awkward. But I was committed. I had the pork knuckle with fried potatoes and order a side of vegetables. The flavor was very good although there was hardly any meat. Mostly skin, bine and fat. Still, an overall tasty dinner. Service was okay. Only 2 beer types on the menu, but nice local wine selection.

A must-visit hidden gem. They stopped serving choucroute two months ago so this is no longer a place for this classic. However, the food was still excellent. Exquisitely prepared dishes with character. The devilled eggs were topped with pike roe with smoked trout buried in the mayonnaise egg yolk. The creamy chicken had just the right amount of flavour; the apple tart was concise and tart. Highly recommend.

An OK dinner in nice surroundings. Food was a bit mixed. Munster spaetzle was remarkably tasteless. Chicken fillet in the chicken supreme was poorly cooked. Escargot were tasty. Nice bread and flavoured butter. Quite expensive for the quality of the food.

If you are a liver and snail lover then this place is a must visit. The staff is friendly and they will explain you all the information about the dishes of the day. The restaurant is a bit hidden away from the main street. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy. I hope that you will enjoy your stay. We didn't order any snails or liver dishes.

I arrived in Strasbourg at 23:30. Hungry and scared I couldn't find a place to eat before tomorrow morning... Then I found it. Wouah ! It is the place where you want to eat every day. A bit expensive but all the meals looks great, smell great are taste amazing. These typical French food is rare to find nowadays, it feels good to feel home.

Recently went there on my vacation in Strasbourg. No complains whatsoever. The service is entertaining and puts effort into learning different languages for the tourists. Food is perfect, I wish I could eat there weekly. I recommend going there at around 9-10 pm. It won’t be full like in the afternoon. It will be a comfortable atmosphere with a view on the river, nice service and really delicious food. Definitely recommend the Spaetzle, which basically everyone had on their plate, and definitely recommend the restaurant.

A cool restaurant with seats outside with magnificent view of the Le Petit France. I was there at sunset and the scene was magical. The food is good with big portion, I cannot finish by myself so if you go by two and you can share. I paid 30€ for 1 main dish and a glass of wine, which I think is fair for the location. The staff is friendly and acommodating.

The location is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and genuinely helpful. The place has a great atmosphere and beautiful views, which make it worth a visit. However, the food we tried was quite average and didn’t really match the overall setting. Considering the prices, the value for money could be better. I’d still recommend stopping by for a drink or to enjoy the view, but for a proper meal, you might find better options nearby.

Lucky enough to be passing on a Tuesday 13.30 pm . Straight on a lovely table in the shade of a large tree. Food was very good, pork with seasonal vegetables in sauce..see picture. Staff super friendly and helpful. Very good value for such a delicious meal. We tried to return that same evening but the wait to be seated queue was very long..though probably wish we had joined it :)

It’s restaurant that has delicious food near the cute streets and the tourism place. Enjoy your meal with wine and watch the culture. I ate duck with patato and it was very good. People work for this place is very fast with smiling faces. Thank them again :)

Nice location with a great view. We ordered the beef tartare, the salmon, and another dish with turkey and mushrooms, and we very much liked them. However, the service was not good; only one lady attended to every guest while the others constantly avoided eye contact.

My friends, my wife and I had an exceptional dinner at La Cloche , which is a Michelin rated restaurant. We started with a small pot of fondue with three different cheeses mixed with some local wine. They served this with two bowls of chopped up bread. This was absolutely delicious and worth the trip to France! Se slso had delicious duck, white asparagus and fantastic chicken!

A cheese lover's paradise! 🧀 We had an amazing time at La Cloche à Fromage in Strasbourg. Their fondue and raclette look incredible but we’ve ordered other dishes which was all good too. The service was so friendly. A must-visit if you're in town especially you’re cheese lover. 😃

Was surprisingly disappointed. I expected much more of this place. They told me it was "all you can eat" cheese and fondue, however, my second serving of fondue was brought good half an hour after I asked for it. All this time I sat at the empty table - my first fondue was gone, and they weren't rushing to refill it. And, unfortunately, fondue itself didn't impress me much. I ordered the most basic version to see their level of craftsmanship - and it didn't strike me. Alcohol free options were limited to just bottled limonade and water. No alcohol free wine, no housemade beverages. But the worst thing was the atmosphere. A manager who greeted me warmly and helped me to get a table without a reservation, was talking to his employees in a completely different manner. I accidentally overheard a couple of interactions between him and his staff, and they deeply saddened me. I don't like to be in places where the workers are treated poorly. This business has a great potential and can probably benefit from a bit more effort.

If you are a cheese person, this is your place in Strasbourg. I had myself a wonderful raclette and my husband a selection of cheese that the chef came and explained him all about each cheese. We are grateful for such great lunch.

Amazing experience! Friendly staff, variety and quality of cheese was un paralleled! Helpful in selecting a wine, and even the small side salad(recommended by our waiter) was a show-stopper! I saw many people ordering the fondue and that looked incredible too! 10/10!!! A MUST when in Strasbourg.

The service ran like a well-oiled machine, and everything went perfectly. We enjoyed the raclette and steak paired with a red Pinot Noir from the Alsace region. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Absolutely worth a stop – a true culinary gem! The food was simply outstanding. The mussels were incredibly fresh, the escargot melted in the mouth, and the meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone. Portion sizes were generous – you definitely won’t leave hungry! Pan fried veal was tough and felt like it had been burnt slightly; the sauces however, were very nice. Luckily we had very sharp knives and everything tasted good. There were some mismatches in language so some requests were ignored. It was the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and perhaps a return visit during normal hours is required as it didn't seem to be the best of foods. The restaurant looked authentic and was in a wonderful location. It was reasonably busy and the two staff coped quite well. We were grateful that it was open on the Sunday since so many places were closed.

We came without a reservation, but we experienced a wonderful welcome. We ordered Bouchée À la Reine Nouilles À L'alsacienne, and Escalope de Veau Panée. It was accompanied by a glass of Pinot Blanc. We enjoyed a pleasant time in an authentic and historic atmosphere.

We were told that we had to try some traditional flammekueche while we were in Strasbourg. We stopped into this place and it was very good. Service was helpful and very good. Great atmosphere and simple menu. We tried a couple flammekueche’s and a pint. All were delicious and reasonably priced.

The photos really don’t do it justice. we loved everything! The place, the service, the fast it worked for as. they can even host large groups. It’s an all-you-can-eat spot, and we tried all the classics. Our favorite was the garlic chives, but honestly, we enjoyed them all. We paired it with Kronenbourg 1664 beer, the classic Alsatian brew, and it was just perfect. Highly recommend! It’s been my fav beer so far.

Nice restaurant, but very simple menu, most of the flams are very similar. Very thing pizza type meal. All you can eat option, but only worth it if you eat at least 2 per person. Staff was very friendly but very slow. Small inside; and not much ventilation so the smoke and oven smell made the place a bit foggy

Avoid it if you really want a classic Flammkuchen. The taste is very sad. The bacon is frankly fat-less, practically ham. The crème fraiche has also nearly no fat, probably some cheap low-fat cream cheese was used. Because real crème fraiche doesn’t leave a thick white paste like the picture, rather stays a bit liquid and white (I know it because I make it at home too😆). If it was really crème fraiche then the Flammkuchen is not fresh, it’s re-heated. I’ve seen a lot made ahead and left on the kitchen counter because of their all-you-can-eat style serving.

We had the pleasure of enjoying very tasty Flammkuchen in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Dominika, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The combination of delicious food, cozy surroundings, and such great hospitality made our visit truly memorable. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Strasbourg and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience.

This placed is centrally located near the Cathedral, serves authentic local crusine. The place was big and the server sat us at a private corner per our request. The server was friendly and obliged to speak French with my friend who was learning the language. We had braised pork cheek and escargot. The pork cheek was well flavored and melted on the mouth. Complimented well with the smooth and fluffy potato mash. We also enjoyed the escargot in pesto butter which was cooked to perfection.

Alsace style deco is so cute! The staff are super friendly. The foods are amazing, very generous portions. If you come to Strasbourg, you NEED to visit this restaurant.

A wonderful experience at Saint Sepulcure. It began with a warm welcome and a glass of local white wine. Our waiter was very helpful and considerate. Us not capable of speaking French he assisted with explaining our meal options. The atmosphere was delightful and it was filled with locals enjoying lunch. Well worth a try when in Strasburg.

Amazing food! Fresh, well cooked Alsatian home cooking. Had an excellent meal here, did not disappoint and is just as good as other popular Alsatian restaurants! 10/10 will come again next time I'm in Strasbourg

The restaurant is located very centrally near the Cathedral and other famous places, one might think this is just another tourist trap. But the atmosphere and the food seemed and tasted very authentic. We actually enjoyed our food. The Spätzle with Chicken was well–seasoned and creamy without being too heavy. The little one liked it very much. The Schweinehaxe was juicy and the Beef Fillet was good. One Staff who gave us our bill was friendly and nice. I wished she was the one who served us. The other one who took our orders and served our meal was cordial, but stiff. Funny to observe that he was not like that with the other customers. WE were seated in the basement, the first ones there. Our orders were taken and after while the basement was full with two other tables. Their orders were taken from the same guy. It was kind of irritating though that they received their meals first ahead of us considering that we ordered first. I thought, maybe ours took a while to cook, but then, they ordered almost the same dishes (they don‘t have extensive options to offer since they offer Specialties). Add to that a hungry preschooler and you will almost lose your patience. I wish all customers will be treated fairly. Also, I ordered my beef fillet to be well-done. See photos and decide if it was well-done. I love medium-rare beef, but I specifically wanted other than that at the moment.

Food was excellent and service was above par. We got a number of starters and also a bunch of pork and calf based main dishes. They were all very filling and tasty. I recommend the calf’s head as a delicacy and the ribs as a safe choice. These are generic German dishes but are made more tasty with that French twist. The wines selected by the waitress to pair with our dishes were also excellent. And she was very hospitable. Overall I would return and dine here again. Good food, great service!

Reservations were for 8 PM on a Monday but it was not too busy. I got a pork knuckle in wine sauce with sauerkraut and sautéed potatoes and my partner got the veal cordon bleu which came with spaetzle in a cream sauce. We were served peanuts while waiting which was nice. Atmosphere was quite lively. Some tables were a bit close together but overall wasn’t too bad. Food was a 4.5/5 for me. I’ve had pork knuckle from a different cuisine before and wasn’t sure what to expect with this one - it is very tender and does easily come off the bone. Quite nice and the sauerkraut was great in fact. The potatoes were pretty standard though. However I tried my partner’s spaetzle and they were amazing. Really enjoyed them and would highly recommend. Dessert was also good if not great. Servers were kind. Although service was not the fastest (but also not too slow) and they were quite attentive, I was impressed with the genuine enthusiasm they showed in singing happy birthday to an older customer. A nice experience for sure and I really enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere at Zehnerglock! (…Which is why somehow we ended up the last customers to leave.)

Very authentic local Alsacian restaurant. Amazing food and lovely service. The wine by the jug is great. For sure order the Riesling. We had the foie gras of duck another starter with poached eggs, the cordon bleu and the sauerkraut with pork. The flavours were pure and so good. Service was good too. True authentic experience. But for real. Order the cordon bleu, it will mess up your diet, but it’s worth every calorie!!

We've been visiting Strasbourg for over a decade and we finally visited Zehnerglock for the first time. Fantastic restaurant! Menu offers local Alsacian food that's clearly made with a lot of love. Portions are large and filling and very flavorful! Interior is touchingly decorated with local flair. What really impressed us was the warm and friendly staff that served us. We really felt like we were dining in someone's home and cannot wait to return. A++ from start to finish. Reservations HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

1 star restaurant. There is a big influence of Japanese taste for meals and decorations. But less for lunch. Of you prefer more influence of Japanese, I shall recommend for dinner. I enjoyed more a mouse bouche and entre.

We had two vegetarian lunch menus with one wine and one non-alcoholic pairing and were very happy with the experience. We had a question about the vegetarian menu and called shortly in advance. We were able to reach someone right away who was very helpful. The dining area of the restaurant is small which makes it very cozy and the interior design is calming. The food was delicious and the presentation nice. Portion sizes were the perfect size making us full after the three courses (+ amuse bouche). Unfortunately, our tummies were too full for the cheese plate. There was one person serving the tables who was very polite and did her job very well.

One of the best Michelin star meals I've ever had. All the more impressive knowing that there is only one chef in the kitchen making the entire meal for all 16 of his guests. There is also only one server. Truly incredible, and also the best value for any Michelin restaurant ever. I had venison, lobster, monkfosh, and steak, in addition to dessert, two amuses, and delicious bread, all for just 87 euros. Can't be beat, and I've been to over 50 Michelin restaurants!

After a long drive from Munich following the close of Oktoberfest, I arrived in Strasbourg feeling exhausted and unsure if I could truly enjoy an evening out. But our dinner at Umami was so inspiring that three hours flew by in what felt like just thirty minutes. Chef René and Jessica have created something truly special here. They run the restaurant completely on their own—Jessica providing warm, attentive, flawless service while her husband works magic in the tiniest kitchen I have ever seen. The teamwork, passion, and care they put into every detail are palpable. We enjoyed the multicourse dinner, and each dish lived up to the restaurant’s name—umami in every sense. The flavors and textures were balanced, surprising, and deeply satisfying. From start to finish, the meal was a journey of creativity and precision. This is not just dining—it’s a rare, intimate experience that shows what can happen when two people pour their hearts into their craft. Thank you, Chef René and Jessica, for giving us an evening that far exceeded our expectations. I will remember this dinner for a very long time and cannot recommend Umami enough.

Fantastic. This is of my all-time favorite Michelin Star restaurants that I've been to. Everything had a unique taste, texture, and presentation. Beautiful restaurant, limited seating approx 16 seats total.

We visited Umami again this year and enjoyed the delicious dishes just as much! Great wine pairing and unpretentious atmosphere in the restaurant to just enjoy everything. The menu was smaller but still very well thought out and a nice selection. The photos are from the 2022 visit, minus the monk fish course which was great but gone before we could take a picture. One of the most delicious meals ever...we had the 7 course menu with perfectly matched wine selection. Amazing value, super friendly and unpretentious service. We will book a table whenever we visit Strasbourg again! Highly recommended slice of food heaven :-)

Excellent seafood, fresh and tasty. My bowl of mussels felt like a never ending-bowl, and the Fish & Chips potatoes were as delicious as the fresh fish. Atmosphere and service was great. Oysters were large and fresh as well. Would definitely come back. Thank you

Waiter rude. I’m not speaking just because of no experience dealing with French or other wait staff I travel a lot. I have been to Strasbourg many times and always great experiences. This time not. We decided to eat here. Turns out there was one waiter working. However above rude. We had asked about what brand of a beverage they had. He left came back about 5 min. We already decided on our meals and what I was drinking. When he came back with one brand wife decided to have an Irish coffee (on the menu) waiter started spewing no desert only if you’re not eating your wasting my time he Completely misunderstood. She then said I’ll have. Coke. He was walking a way. I had to yell a coke just a coke and yes we are eating. This was Completely uncalled for. At that point we should have left. Be decided to stay. The food was decent but took 1 1/2 hours. I would never eat here or suggest it to anyone simply because of the unprofessional and rude waiter.

Spontaneously made a reservation here and we were stunned with the entire experience, food is undeniably good and great service too. Really love the soft touch given to my kids, the Captain's hat! They love it so much! Thanks and will definitely come by again when we're in Strasbourg 😉

Very good seafood restaurant in Strassburg, although there is no English menu, but the waiter personally translated and the introduced the whole menu. The seafood platter and the tapas platter of various fish are highly recommended. We did the reservation on TripAdvisor and we got a discount at the end.

It might be a good place for a vegetarian but they offered nothing vegan. Not even olives or bread and oil. So it was really boring to drink wine without having anything on the side. If you are vegan avoid this place, you won’t have a nice experience

If you want to taste some of the best wines of the region, or anywhere, visit this wine bar. Every wine we sampled was very good to excellent, not to mention the service was just as great. We spent more than we had planned to, but compared to some other places in Strasbourg that we tried, it was worth it.

This cozy cafe is a great place to brunch. Cool that they are serving Brunch until 3 p.m. The menu is varied, with a vegetarian option and a meat option from classic eggs. As a guy from switzerland I‘d say the price of 28€ is reasonable. The vibe is pretty relaxed although the staff ( just one of them) didn’t really made a friendly impression on us…Recommend for a late brunch!

The location is close to the center of town and recommended to me by individuals born and raised in Strasbourg. The drinks were amazing - some of the best I've had during my months in Europe. I forget the name of the gin I ordered and have been trying to remember for MONTHS (yes it was that good), but it had juniper berries and anis. The gin (with Miss Tonic) was exactly the refreshing, floral drink I was looking for, thank you to our server for the recommendation! The server we had was really kind and patient, despite my French being poor (so he, without judgement, tried speaking English too). I was confused at the pricing at first so let me explain it here. If you want gin and tonic, you have two "formulas": 1. Gin (listed price) + tonic mixed into a glass (1€ or 1.9€) 2. Gin (listed price) + a bottle of tonic (4.50€) I hope you try this local bar!

The restaurant got a classic interior, with nice music, atmosphere is good, staffs are friendly and fun. The appetizer is chicken liver plate , served with bread and cucumbers, it is rich in taste, with aid of vinegar, yummy. The duck leg confit is good, it is not too greasy, the duck meat is so soft and tender, with the sauce, it is simply delicious. The dessert is yummy too. It is so creamy and moderately sweetened, love it. I had a good time, thank you!

We had the chance to sit to enjoy our dinner on the balcony. Nice atmosphere, very friendly service! The Strassburg Sauerkraut was tasty , the Strassbourg salad was not what we expected in this level of restaurant. We had a good time and can recommend the place!

Beautiful building right on the river. Good selection of food. But it arrived very quickly and was a bit bland. Friendly staff. The lighting inside was too bright, needed to be dimmer to create a better atmosphere. Desert was excellent

We stopped here for lunch. The hostess was not very friendly and I’d even say rude. It’s expected. But our waitress was very nice and quite lovely. Our food was delicious. My veal was kind of chewy but still delicious. The bread rolls were fantastic with mustard! All of our “German” dishes were very well prepared and we enjoyed our food. Our waitress was originally from Jacksonville Florida and it was great getting some Southern hospitality along with my French service. This made a big difference I think in our experience. Our waitress was truly nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend this to family or friends.

Horrible experience when we expected authentic French cuisine at the price we paid. We ordered the steak and poulet supreme and were extremely disappointed. The steak was overdone and tough, sauce was not very fantastic and too sweet. Poulet was not marinated at all and was very plain on the inside, only covered with sauce. The mushroom sauce was too thick and floury, tasted like flour and overly starchy. Really do not recommend this place at all. We paid over 50+ euros to get poor food of such standard and are quite disappointed. The only consolation would be the handmade bread provided as a pre-meal snack which was the best food item of the meal, sadly. Escargots were decent. Atmosphere was nice if you sit outdoors near the canal, but would not be back for the mains unless we have a small bite or drink

We had a fantastic time at this traditional restaurant. We booked our table several weeks in advance as we were a group of 17 including 3 kids. ( The place was almost full about 15min after our arrival at 7pm!) We were welcomed with open arms, everyone was so friendly and especially caring for our smallest 1yo member. We were seated in a separate private room which was fantastic. We were able to close the door and so it almost felt like having a very delicious meal at our own home. Our assigned waiter was funny and well on top of his game. Toilets were very clean and there was even a separate room to change diapers. Another cool thing: the table cloth was actually made out of paper and served as perfect canvases for the drawings of the little ones while waiting on the food.

Hotel Rohan is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Strasbourg, its location is perfect. Unfortunately, on a few occasions the lift was out of order,and continued to be for a couple of days and the room air conditioning broke down (I must add it was fixed the same day) Overall though we had a very comfortable stay.

One of my favorite hotels in the world. I’ve stayed there twice and both times have been amazing. Comfortable, quiet, and perfect location. Staff are very courteous, and breakfast is outstanding.

We stayed here for 2 days near the beginning of September and had a fantastic time. Wonderful hotel, the rooms were great, and the staff fantastic and super helpful. And as for the location, well, I don't think it could be beat. You are right there close to everything, shops, tourist sites, and great restaurants. You are literally just steps away from the cathedral. Would highly recommend and would easily stay here again if I was ever back.

We had 2 nights in this lovely hotel. Location is amazing. Right on the Cathedral square. The front desk staff were very obliging and friendly. The breakfast was nice with a great self service. The only wee suggestion I would make is that a hand rail is installed over the bath/shower as the bath was very slippery which I found when getting out the first time. Extremely careful after that.

I have never stayed in this hotel but i adore their drink teracce. It is literally a few steps from the Cathedral and Hunderta of tourists but it is very quite and charming. Go there of you want to have a nice from crowds.

My husband and I stayed here September 2024. Middle of the night someone opened our door and started to come in the room. We yelled, they left. Apparently someone arrived late and asked if they had a room, the computer for some reason showed our room vacant (all other rooms booked). They were given a card key and opened the door. We forgot to use the dead bolt (won’t be forgetting that again). The front desk apologized, offered free breakfast (our reservation came with breakfast), a free drink in the bar (we were checking out at 9am so no thanks) and that’s it. Our windows also opened to some weird interior 1st floor courtyard so we didn’t feel comfortable leaving a window open for air and the aircon was only on fan mode so it was quite uncomfortable. Also, the credit charge showed up with a different hotel name so at first I thought it was fraud. Great location and breakfast though…

The location is very central, near the cathedral & surrounded by all the kitsch Christmas shops. The room is fine, clean, comfortable, quiet. The woman who checked us in was friendly and polite. The man on the evening reception shift was rude, unpleasant and dismissive when asked for a simple and very reasonable request which housekeeping should have taken care of. It really left a negative impression.

We stayed for a few days and the weekday evenings were much more enjoyable because of the lighter crowds …… a very enjoyable experience with all types of delicious foods available. The city itself is very beautiful with an abundance of wood timbered buildings and the amazing Strasbourg cathedral.

This was my first time visiting the area. I absolutely loved it. It was nice to see the decorations and even a few smaller Christmas markets peppered throughout the town. Of course, when I saw the grandeur that is Notre Dame of Strasbourg and the gorgeous gothic architecture, it was amazing. It truly is a gorgeous cathedral. The Christmas market there was absolutely stunning. I loved how vin chaud is everywhere and the aroma filled the air. Such a great place!

This Christmas market was really nice! Strasbourg is one of my favorite places and the markets just make it that much better! I had some delicious gluehwein and really enjoyed all the lights and decorations!

Beautiful place, extra crowded, a lot of attractions food pastries and whatever you can imagine. Worth visiting at least once in a life before Christmas

The Christmas market in Strasbourg has a really cozy vibe. The food is decent, and everything looks beautifully festive.

Not the easiest to find in terms of the main area as it’s deep in. Plus had to park really quite a distance away. But the town is lovely

The best Christmas Market in Europe is in Strasbourg Alsace region, France! Unbelievable decorations, the feeling of Noel and Christmas time, everything is stunning! You access downtown and others locations by train!
