1 star restaurant. There is a big influence of Japanese taste for meals and decorations. But less for lunch. Of you prefer more influence of Japanese, I shall recommend for dinner. I enjoyed more a mouse bouche and entre.

We had two vegetarian lunch menus with one wine and one non-alcoholic pairing and were very happy with the experience. We had a question about the vegetarian menu and called shortly in advance. We were able to reach someone right away who was very helpful. The dining area of the restaurant is small which makes it very cozy and the interior design is calming. The food was delicious and the presentation nice. Portion sizes were the perfect size making us full after the three courses (+ amuse bouche). Unfortunately, our tummies were too full for the cheese plate. There was one person serving the tables who was very polite and did her job very well.

We spent marvelous time at Umami restaurant. Calm and unique athmosphere, nice and friendly staff. And of course magnificent food full of 5th sense taste.

One of the best Michelin star meals I've ever had. All the more impressive knowing that there is only one chef in the kitchen making the entire meal for all 16 of his guests. There is also only one server. Truly incredible, and also the best value for any Michelin restaurant ever. I had venison, lobster, monkfosh, and steak, in addition to dessert, two amuses, and delicious bread, all for just 87 euros. Can't be beat, and I've been to over 50 Michelin restaurants!

After a long drive from Munich following the close of Oktoberfest, I arrived in Strasbourg feeling exhausted and unsure if I could truly enjoy an evening out. But our dinner at Umami was so inspiring that three hours flew by in what felt like just thirty minutes. Chef René and Jessica have created something truly special here. They run the restaurant completely on their own—Jessica providing warm, attentive, flawless service while her husband works magic in the tiniest kitchen I have ever seen. The teamwork, passion, and care they put into every detail are palpable. We enjoyed the multicourse dinner, and each dish lived up to the restaurant’s name—umami in every sense. The flavors and textures were balanced, surprising, and deeply satisfying. From start to finish, the meal was a journey of creativity and precision. This is not just dining—it’s a rare, intimate experience that shows what can happen when two people pour their hearts into their craft. Thank you, Chef René and Jessica, for giving us an evening that far exceeded our expectations. I will remember this dinner for a very long time and cannot recommend Umami enough.

Fantastic. This is of my all-time favorite Michelin Star restaurants that I've been to. Everything had a unique taste, texture, and presentation. Beautiful restaurant, limited seating approx 16 seats total.

We were told that we had to try some traditional flammekueche while we were in Strasbourg. We stopped into this place and it was very good. Service was helpful and very good. Great atmosphere and simple menu. We tried a couple flammekueche’s and a pint. All were delicious and reasonably priced.

The photos really don’t do it justice. we loved everything! The place, the service, the fast it worked for as. they can even host large groups. It’s an all-you-can-eat spot, and we tried all the classics. Our favorite was the garlic chives, but honestly, we enjoyed them all. We paired it with Kronenbourg 1664 beer, the classic Alsatian brew, and it was just perfect. Highly recommend! It’s been my fav beer so far.

Nice restaurant, but very simple menu, most of the flams are very similar. Very thing pizza type meal. All you can eat option, but only worth it if you eat at least 2 per person. Staff was very friendly but very slow. Small inside; and not much ventilation so the smoke and oven smell made the place a bit foggy

Avoid it if you really want a classic Flammkuchen. The taste is very sad. The bacon is frankly fat-less, practically ham. The crème fraiche has also nearly no fat, probably some cheap low-fat cream cheese was used. Because real crème fraiche doesn’t leave a thick white paste like the picture, rather stays a bit liquid and white (I know it because I make it at home too😆). If it was really crème fraiche then the Flammkuchen is not fresh, it’s re-heated. I’ve seen a lot made ahead and left on the kitchen counter because of their all-you-can-eat style serving.

The food was very good and tasty. We also enjoyed the variety of flavors and dishes. The staff was extremely friendly.

Extraordinary experience in Bistrot Coco 🫶🏻 We chose the 6 course menu and the 4 wines to go with it. The food was incredible, you could really tell that each dish was thought through and created taking into account every detail and to create an amazing flavor experience. The sweet bread and also the pre dessert with safran ice cream were my favorites!! Looking forward to the next time ☺️

Absolutely excellent! The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant and refined — calm without feeling too quiet. We enjoyed the 3-course surprise menu with wine pairing, and every dish was beautifully balanced in flavor. The main course, featuring duck paired with a smooth, well-rounded red wine, was especially memorable. The staff were courteous and attentive, thoughtfully explaining each dish and wine pairing throughout the meal.

Very nice, small restaurant. Everything was extremely delicious. We had 4 piece menu (all small portions but at the end you feel full) and it was amazing. First we had the soup with escargot and mushrooms. Then the cod fish was very delicious. The third meal was the steak which was very well cooked and tasty with its sauce. And as a last piece we had a very nice desert. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

One of the best dinners I ever had. Food was amazing, every dish had something special and we enjoyed each one of them. We took the menu on 4 tempos. Local ingredients, good atmosphere with the perfect level of noise and excellent service. If you are here in Strasbourg, don’t hesitate to come! You will have a great experience 😄

5/5. I'm from Canada and don't speak french. I appreciate the fact that the servers tried their very best to explain each course with us. I still gave them 5 stars as I felt the effort was there. However, it would be greatly appreciate if Menu has english Translations, since the area is a hot spot for international tourist. Food hands down was amazing! We did the 5 course dinner.

It’s a small but gorgeous place to have launch. It has a very festive atmosphere and the meals are incredibly delicious. Portions are small but it’s compensated by its taste. Order a table in advance and don’t forget to give a try to their desserts. Also, you can speak in English here.

We truly enjoyed our dining experience. We chose to sit outside and ordered the carte blanche menu with the 4 wine pairings. Our server did a wonderful job explaining each dish and wine to us. The food was delicious and surprising. Each dish was flavorful and delightful. The wine did pair well and brought out the flavors. A standout was the second course of cod with trout eggs served with a shellfish sauce. The third course was a piece of duck breast that was perfectly cooked and very tender. A tasting menu is always a fun way to discover new flavor combinations and this did not disappoint. We enjoyed dining at the outside tables. The small alley was quiet and we were able to see a few people walk by. We will definitely return on another trip to Strasbourg.

Fun vibes for late eats. We got very nice wines and two tarte flambées. One with walnuts and another sweet one with apples and actual flambée. Both were top notch flavours. Highly recommend eating here.

We had lunch at this very cool place on an out of the way street in Strasbourg. They specialize in tarte flambee (flammkuchen) and we loved it! Each of us got a different tarte, then we split an apple cinnamon tarte for dessert. The apple cinnamon was my personal favorite, but they were all delicious. We had reservations, and were glad of it. Locals appeared to love the place too. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for lunch today on a visit to Strasbourg. Had a reservation but the bartender got us seated immediately outside with drinks and menu. We got two tarte flambees and they were excellent, super friendly staff. Would recommend for anyone visiting the city.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We’ve only had the frozen tarts from Trader Joe’s in the US so arrived before they opened so we could try fresh Alsatian tarts. They graciously gave us a table and we enjoyed the three savory tarts we ordered.

We walked in without a reservation. A reservation in advance is recommended. The restaurant was crowded at 7PM Saturday but the manager managed to find us a table. I ordered the chef’s menu. - Foie Gras: I think I get used to the pate in my country so it was not so special for me. But it was well-served, good to try once. - Beef tenderloin: super good. The beef was soft, served with very good french fries. - Gourmet coffee: simply a set of desserts. Quite a lot to eat. Staff here are friendly. The old manager was always with smiles and Oh la la. A cute little French restaurante! Absolutely loved the vibe, and although the menues were in French, the waitresses were very helpful and also they have QR code with the menue in English so definitely ask them for it! Can't quite remember what we ordered, but the steak tartare, is a must try!

Reasonable prices and filling food choices. Best for breakfast or brunch. The service was friendly and helpful even for non French speakers like me. The menu is accessible using the barcode on the table (see picture), and you will provide your order to the restaurant staff as per usual. Card payment accepted. This is located near the Cathedral but still further from the usual tourist brassieres. It’s good that they are open on Sundays when most shops in the area are closed.

Stopped for afternoon drink after visiting the Cathedral. Friendly waitress and very nice Riesling wine. Not in a main road, so nice and peaceful. We speak French so no problem but I know they do speak English there because I heard a waiter speaking to another customer about the very nice looking deserts! 😁

Terrible place. I have dinner with my son and husband. One of the toast ordered, arrived fully burnt… completely dark. We asked kindly to the waitress to change it because it was not healthy at all, also it was extremely hard, like a stone. The waitress said she does not want to bring a new one, and she brought the receipt including the burnt toast. Unbelievable!!! She was extremely rude. We will not come back and please consider this un respectful behaviour if you are going with your children. T

Perfect for a little lunch! We were looking for a quick bite and stumbled upon this tiny place in a side street. It was amazing. The food was delicious! They have cocktails and a good wine list. The staff were very friendly! The menu is online in French, English, and German. Would definitely recommend this place!

We had a wonderful time at Cinnamon! The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, we were given a choice of spice level which I really appreciate. The food was amazing, taste, presentation, everything. We got the Samosa starter to share, it comes with 3 delicious sauces. The Paneer Makhani and a creamy seasonal vegetable dish that were incredible. The portions are generous, I even took some home. The naan is delicious, and mango tiramisu was gorgeous! The place is elegant, ambience is calm and quiet (but not too quiet), the servers are extremely kind and professional. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We stumbled upon this place while we were looking for some Indian food nearby. We didn't had a reservation but it was a very short wait before we got our table. The service is incredible and very helpful with the queries on food choice. The dishes are portioned perfectly and the tastes are on mark. We tried only curry and lamb biryani and we were very happy with it.

Some of the most delicious Indian food you will find anywhere, along with the most gracious and professional service. Every dish is unique so sample as much as possible. The appetizer platter and the wine selections are also very well done. Nice location just a few minutes from the cathedral. Can’t wait to get back!

The food was truly excellent, full of flavor but in a subtle way. Every dish looked and tasted amazing and the portions are just right - in many Indian restaurants the portions are way too large but here there is a perfect balance. Many other reviewers mention the food is bland, that’s not the case at all. Yes, it’s not spicy but that means you can actually appreciate the flavours. We were with 2 kids and they also approved big time. Good vegetarian options as well. The service was great too, very helpful and attentive. I would say that for the truly, truly amazing food, the restaurant itself and its interior design is a little bit of a letdown - it’s ok but honestly the food deserves better: more intimate seating, better lighting, maybe some plants? There are also a few tables outside but they face onto a cramped sidewalk of a noisy street with a tram. Anyway, really happy with our dinner here.

The only option they have for the brunch is a gluten-free menu. Unfortunately, it is not tasty at all. And super ordinary with no connection between items. The salad was not fresh and I can say it was old. You can see in the pictures. But the staff is nice and helpful and the atmosphere is amazing.

The atmosphere and service was white nice. The Gluten Free Menu on the other hand was far from that. There was only one brunch option. The bread was dry and the fixings were lacking flavor. Would not recommend going there as a gluten free person. The Gluten options were also just okay.

This brasserie is excellent. We stumbled upon it by accident while looking for a place for lunch. And what a surprise! We were given a delicious platter with a variety of delicious treats that complemented each other perfectly. It's definitely recommended to eat or drink here. The desserts are the best! Totally worth a visit for them. We also enjoyed the cheese platter to share (we suggest max 2/3 people because the portion is small). Main courses are good but a bit pricey as they are good but not as special. Service is really nice and welcoming!

We have ordered curry soup, mac & cheese and musaka. The service was good and fast. The soup was very good, the mac & cheese was OK as well as the musaka. It is great that such restaurants exist but I feel like they do not make much efort in preparing really good food. It is perhaps due to the lack of competition?! We are vegetarians for tens of years and definitely can prepare better food than that. Overall it was OK but I was not impressed.

Strassburg is not really a tourist place. During the weekend, there is no coffee place open, and restaurants open till 13 or 14, then close and open again at 19.00. As a tourist you should cook in the hotel room. Therefore this place is particular! It is open during the afternoon. Delicious food, very good quality products, good coffee with high-quality cakes. The only disappointment is that a cake bought to take away is sometimes almost 2 e cheaper than the one eaten at the table. Anyway, good job and recommended!

I didn’t get a chance to try the menu for dinner, but the vegan desserts were beautiful! The one I got was delicious and for a good price. It was a cherry dessert that I don’t know the name of, but it was fantastic! Only bummer was that the amazing looking hot dog is not served anymore.

Amazing food. Today was our second time at Bastardo. The first time we had gnocchi with lamb, which was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten (please put it on your permanent menu). Today, I had pasta with scampi which was also excellent. The scampi were cooked perfectly in a divine tomato-based sauce. The Panna Cotta also was amazing. We also loved the attentive and friendly service. Thank you for putting up with our bad French. I look forward to returning next time we are in Strasbourg.

Amazing food for good rates considering its proximity to the centre. Really nice atmosphere and a lovely escape as it’s warm and outside is cold!! Staff are friendly and polite, and although we came with no reservations, they managed to give us a table that they needed in an hour- but we didn’t feel rushed. In fact they told us to take our time! Nonetheless, we still left before the reservation came!! I would recommend to book a reservation as it gets very busy, but this makes for a great atmosphere. The food is tasty and good quality, so is the wine.

Stopped in here for a midday lunch and it did not disappoint. We had pizza and pasta, both were amazing. The pizza was so thin with the perfect amount of cheese. This was one of my most favorite places on our 10 day trip! Manu was just so kind and welcoming to us. And Samea was a beautiful gem that made us smile. Service outstanding. Food wonderful. Atmosphere exactly what you would think about a little French cafe. Loved it ❤️

One of the best pizzas and cocktails I have ever had.

Usually folks say solo diners are placed in unpleasant locations - especially next to the toilet. Well I was placed in the corner, next to the passageway to the toilet (not that near), with a view of the action in the kitchen. I loved it. The energy in the kitchen is good - watching the chefs prepare the food, the service staff was friendly though they forgot about my bill when I asked for it - usual given how busy they were. I had the burrata with tomatoes, and the pasta with truffle and mushrooms. Wonderful!

This was my overall impression was great. The pizza was awesome. It really was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Strasbourg and in france. The outdoor seating always takes it to another level on a beautiful spring day as happened on this occasion. The service was also really excellent. No complaints at all. I walked away completely satisfied.

The food is really good, but the service didn’t match up. We waited way too long when we ordered even a glass of wine or just to ask for water or ice but once again the food is very good so I can’t give it a lower review only based on this days service. Nonetheless will be coming again to see if it was a one time bad day for the staff.. it happens.

Local producers have gathered in this place. I rarely buy here because not all the products are organic. The smoked fish are particularly salty. There is only organic vanilla ice cream that I can consume here. It's really good. Updated on 24/05/2022 Back to this place after last purchase of ice-creams in December last year, I found the person who gave me advices on all kinds of meat quite patient and helpful. As I don't consume meat, his advices are precious for me. Strawberries are in season and the prices for different varieties are quite correct.

The best to buy the Alsace local products. Everything is from Alsace! Fresh and good for you. You can get good Alsace wines, cheese, apples juice, meat, of course vegetables…etc., Good to support local ferme and wineries and all local producers. You will be surprised the variety of Alsace local produits we have in Alsace.

Local produce market. Prices are acceptable though not cheap. They have everything from vegetables, juices, honey, wines, fish, meats, cheese products.. very convenient.

Shop and product OK, good quality. However, a new sqles woman made my experience unpleasant, twice. She is not properly trained and lacks knowledge of products but she admonished me twice on not knowing the name of the products, with unfriendly tone. I buy food, not names and I'm rather imcomfortable for her being rude with me for such a small issue. Her colleagues are nice, happy and laid out persons, which I generally expect in a bio shop. She just managed to make both me and her unhappy for a while... I am not sure this is what she wants in life?...

We had a fantastic time at this traditional restaurant. We booked our table several weeks in advance as we were a group of 17 including 3 kids. ( The place was almost full about 15min after our arrival at 7pm!) We were welcomed with open arms, everyone was so friendly and especially caring for our smallest 1yo member. We were seated in a separate private room which was fantastic. We were able to close the door and so it almost felt like having a very delicious meal at our own home. Our assigned waiter was funny and well on top of his game. Toilets were very clean and there was even a separate room to change diapers. Another cool thing: the table cloth was actually made out of paper and served as perfect canvases for the drawings of the little ones while waiting on the food.
