Restaurant Umami in Petite-France offers an elegant and understated space where guests can enjoy imaginative French-global fusion cuisine paired with a robust wine list. Chef Rene Fieger's culinary journey around the world, particularly in Shanghai, inspired him to bring Asian flavors and techniques to Strasbourg. Unlike other restaurants in the area, Umami is known for its willingness to import fresh ingredients to stay true to specific dishes or cuisines.
Intimate restaurant with very few tables. The dishes were tasty with unique flavors. Service was great and attentive.

1 star restaurant. There is a big influence of Japanese taste for meals and decorations. But less for lunch. Of you prefer more influence of Japanese, I shall recommend for dinner. I enjoyed more a mouse bouche and entre.
Cou C — Google review
We had two vegetarian lunch menus with one wine and one non-alcoholic pairing and were very happy with the experience. We had a question about the vegetarian menu and called shortly in advance. We were able to reach someone right away who was very helpful. The dining area of the restaurant is small which makes it very cozy and the interior design is calming. The food was delicious and the presentation nice. Portion sizes were the perfect size making us full after the three courses (+ amuse bouche). Unfortunately, our tummies were too full for the cheese plate. There was one person serving the tables who was very polite and did her job very well.
Naomi B — Google review
We spent marvelous time at Umami restaurant. Calm and unique athmosphere, nice and friendly staff. And of course magnificent food full of 5th sense taste.
Daniel B — Google review
One of the best Michelin star meals I've ever had. All the more impressive knowing that there is only one chef in the kitchen making the entire meal for all 16 of his guests. There is also only one server. Truly incredible, and also the best value for any Michelin restaurant ever. I had venison, lobster, monkfosh, and steak, in addition to dessert, two amuses, and delicious bread, all for just 87 euros. Can't be beat, and I've been to over 50 Michelin restaurants!
Steve B — Google review
Relaxed and friendly family owned Michelin star restaurant. The lunch menu is a treat - great value!
Björn E — Google review
After a long drive from Munich following the close of Oktoberfest, I arrived in Strasbourg feeling exhausted and unsure if I could truly enjoy an evening out. But our dinner at Umami was so inspiring that three hours flew by in what felt like just thirty minutes. Chef René and Jessica have created something truly special here. They run the restaurant completely on their own—Jessica providing warm, attentive, flawless service while her husband works magic in the tiniest kitchen I have ever seen. The teamwork, passion, and care they put into every detail are palpable. We enjoyed the multicourse dinner, and each dish lived up to the restaurant’s name—umami in every sense. The flavors and textures were balanced, surprising, and deeply satisfying. From start to finish, the meal was a journey of creativity and precision. This is not just dining—it’s a rare, intimate experience that shows what can happen when two people pour their hearts into their craft. Thank you, Chef René and Jessica, for giving us an evening that far exceeded our expectations. I will remember this dinner for a very long time and cannot recommend Umami enough.

Fantastic. This is of my all-time favorite Michelin Star restaurants that I've been to. Everything had a unique taste, texture, and presentation. Beautiful restaurant, limited seating approx 16 seats total.

When in Strasbourg, indulging in flammekueche, also known as tarte flambée, is a must. This delightful dish features a thin crust topped with crème fraîche, onions, and various other ingredients like cheese or ham. Flam's stands out as an excellent spot to savor this Alsatian specialty, boasting an impressive selection of around a dozen varieties. During my visit to Strasbourg, I made my way to Flam's for lunch after dropping off my bags at the hotel.
We went for the Hopla menu, which turned out to be quite a lot for the two of us (my girlfriend and I). We couldn’t manage more than three Flammkuchen! That said, the food and service were exceptional—especially for the price. Highly recommended!
Batuhan A — Google review
We were told that we had to try some traditional flammekueche while we were in Strasbourg. We stopped into this place and it was very good. Service was helpful and very good. Great atmosphere and simple menu. We tried a couple flammekueche’s and a pint. All were delicious and reasonably priced.
Jeff D — Google review
The photos really don’t do it justice. we loved everything! The place, the service, the fast it worked for as. they can even host large groups. It’s an all-you-can-eat spot, and we tried all the classics. Our favorite was the garlic chives, but honestly, we enjoyed them all. We paired it with Kronenbourg 1664 beer, the classic Alsatian brew, and it was just perfect. Highly recommend! It’s been my fav beer so far.
Alexandra V — Google review
Nice restaurant, but very simple menu, most of the flams are very similar. Very thing pizza type meal. All you can eat option, but only worth it if you eat at least 2 per person. Staff was very friendly but very slow. Small inside; and not much ventilation so the smoke and oven smell made the place a bit foggy
Alessandra C — Google review
Avoid it if you really want a classic Flammkuchen. The taste is very sad. The bacon is frankly fat-less, practically ham. The crème fraiche has also nearly no fat, probably some cheap low-fat cream cheese was used. Because real crème fraiche doesn’t leave a thick white paste like the picture, rather stays a bit liquid and white (I know it because I make it at home too😆). If it was really crème fraiche then the Flammkuchen is not fresh, it’s re-heated. I’ve seen a lot made ahead and left on the kitchen counter because of their all-you-can-eat style serving.
Seven-wind — Google review
The food was very good and tasty. We also enjoyed the variety of flavors and dishes. The staff was extremely friendly.

Very busy, good food, good value, service can be a little slow.

We had the pleasure of enjoying very tasty Flammkuchen in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Dominika, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The combination of delicious food, cozy surroundings, and such great hospitality made our visit truly memorable. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Strasbourg and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience.

The Bistrot Coco is a modern and elegant restaurant with a rotating lineup of creative takes on French cuisine. The food is unique and incorporates different flavours from varied inspirations. The chefs are known for their refined and daring cuisine, which focuses on using game, fruit, and vegetable dishes.
Worthy of a Michelin star! We had the 5-course surprise dinner menu and were satisfied with all of them. Cozy interior and friendly service. We’re happy that we could bring our small dog to the restaurant. If I must give an improvement point, the bread was average and could be better. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
Ching — Google review
Extraordinary experience in Bistrot Coco 🫶🏻 We chose the 6 course menu and the 4 wines to go with it. The food was incredible, you could really tell that each dish was thought through and created taking into account every detail and to create an amazing flavor experience. The sweet bread and also the pre dessert with safran ice cream were my favorites!! Looking forward to the next time ☺️
Vicky M — Google review
Absolutely excellent! The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant and refined — calm without feeling too quiet. We enjoyed the 3-course surprise menu with wine pairing, and every dish was beautifully balanced in flavor. The main course, featuring duck paired with a smooth, well-rounded red wine, was especially memorable. The staff were courteous and attentive, thoughtfully explaining each dish and wine pairing throughout the meal.
Zayajung C — Google review
Very nice, small restaurant. Everything was extremely delicious. We had 4 piece menu (all small portions but at the end you feel full) and it was amazing. First we had the soup with escargot and mushrooms. Then the cod fish was very delicious. The third meal was the steak which was very well cooked and tasty with its sauce. And as a last piece we had a very nice desert. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Mehmet G — Google review
One of the best dinners I ever had. Food was amazing, every dish had something special and we enjoyed each one of them. We took the menu on 4 tempos. Local ingredients, good atmosphere with the perfect level of noise and excellent service. If you are here in Strasbourg, don’t hesitate to come! You will have a great experience 😄
Lara P — Google review
5/5. I'm from Canada and don't speak french. I appreciate the fact that the servers tried their very best to explain each course with us. I still gave them 5 stars as I felt the effort was there. However, it would be greatly appreciate if Menu has english Translations, since the area is a hot spot for international tourist. Food hands down was amazing! We did the 5 course dinner.
Marian S — Google review
It’s a small but gorgeous place to have launch. It has a very festive atmosphere and the meals are incredibly delicious. Portions are small but it’s compensated by its taste. Order a table in advance and don’t forget to give a try to their desserts. Also, you can speak in English here.
Kirill M — Google review
We truly enjoyed our dining experience. We chose to sit outside and ordered the carte blanche menu with the 4 wine pairings. Our server did a wonderful job explaining each dish and wine to us. The food was delicious and surprising. Each dish was flavorful and delightful. The wine did pair well and brought out the flavors. A standout was the second course of cod with trout eggs served with a shellfish sauce. The third course was a piece of duck breast that was perfectly cooked and very tender. A tasting menu is always a fun way to discover new flavor combinations and this did not disappoint. We enjoyed dining at the outside tables. The small alley was quiet and we were able to see a few people walk by. We will definitely return on another trip to Strasbourg.

Restaurant
Binchstub Broglie is a cozy and charming local Alsace restaurant in Strasbourg, located near the Broglie streetcar station. It offers a variety of tartes flambees, including traditional ones and those topped with fondue and raclette. The ingredients are locally sourced from farms and artisan producers. The wood-lined space with a vaulted cellar creates a casual vibe for enjoying these quick-baked pastries along with wines, beers, and friendly service.
It's a cozy space, friendly staff wrong to accommodate this lone diner without a reservation. It's best not to risk it though, because the tasty flammküche is best shared between two! Nice selection of local craft beers too.
Nicholas L — Google review
Fun vibes for late eats. We got very nice wines and two tarte flambées. One with walnuts and another sweet one with apples and actual flambée. Both were top notch flavours. Highly recommend eating here.
Varada K — Google review
We had lunch at this very cool place on an out of the way street in Strasbourg. They specialize in tarte flambee (flammkuchen) and we loved it! Each of us got a different tarte, then we split an apple cinnamon tarte for dessert. The apple cinnamon was my personal favorite, but they were all delicious. We had reservations, and were glad of it. Locals appeared to love the place too. Highly recommended.
Wayne R — Google review
If you're in Strasbourg and craving authentic Flammkuchen, Binchstub Broglie is a fantastic choice. This cosy restaurant offers delicious, well-prepared dishes that highlight the simplicity and rich flavours of this Alsatian specialty. The food was excellent—crispy, flavourful, and served at just the right portion size. The staff were very welcoming and, notably, spoke English, making the experience even more enjoyable for international visitors. The service was efficient, with a short to mid wait time, and the restaurant maintained a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, Binchstub Broglie is a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Flammkuchen in a friendly and comfortable setting. Highly recommended!
Arnis M — Google review
Stopped in for lunch today on a visit to Strasbourg. Had a reservation but the bartender got us seated immediately outside with drinks and menu. We got two tarte flambees and they were excellent, super friendly staff. Would recommend for anyone visiting the city.

Very nice restaurant with lots of different Flammkuchen to choose from. The staff was super nice and helpful. We got places at the bar, even without a reservation.
Stephan K — Google review
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. We’ve only had the frozen tarts from Trader Joe’s in the US so arrived before they opened so we could try fresh Alsatian tarts. They graciously gave us a table and we enjoyed the three savory tarts we ordered.

Le Kuhn is a French restaurant with traditional Alsatian cuisine like choucroute garnie and flammkuchen. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. The food is delicious and the atmosphere relaxing.
Tried this restaurant last week during a short stay in the area. We were so impressed with the food and service that we returned the next night to enjoy more of their excellent Alsacian menu. The staff are attentive and welcoming. Reservations are definitely recommended. The "specials" menu was excellent and the available selections from the standard menu were also good. This felt like one of those really good restaurants that is understated and doesn't really need to advertise.
Stephen N — Google review
After a short wait, we had a pleasant experience at Le Kuhn. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, although it was a bit crowded, which is to be expected on a Saturday night. The service was good overall. We were greeted kindly by the staff, and a particular waitress checked on us regularly, which was appreciated, though she seems she was handling a lot. The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and a homemade dessert that topped off the meal perfectly. The location is conveniently close to Strasbourg’s main station, making it an ideal spot for those using public transport. However, parking can be challenging in this area, so I recommend checking the train station’s parking lot. One recommendation for the management: it would be great to enable tipping via card payments, so customers can show their appreciation for the staff more easily.
Dominick M — Google review
We walked in without a reservation. A reservation in advance is recommended. The restaurant was crowded at 7PM Saturday but the manager managed to find us a table. I ordered the chef’s menu. - Foie Gras: I think I get used to the pate in my country so it was not so special for me. But it was well-served, good to try once. - Beef tenderloin: super good. The beef was soft, served with very good french fries. - Gourmet coffee: simply a set of desserts. Quite a lot to eat. Staff here are friendly. The old manager was always with smiles and Oh la la. The other lady was very supportive during high peak hours. I liked them 👍
Nhi Y — Google review
Service was excellent. Food was good and the quality of products was excellent. I was not impressed by desserts. Prices were normal for the quality. Wine was great!
Vicky K — Google review
Its a hidden treasure. The food was prepared in a very delicate manner. Warm and kind service and atmosphere that shows people are here to eat real food and are very close to the owner and the workers.

I was in Strasbourg for the first time and went this restaurant 2 times in a row. Food quality and taste is a top notch as well as service.

I had an extraordinary dining experience in France, where every aspect exceeded my expectations. The location itself was fascinating, providing a charming and captivating ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The service was exceptional, delivered with a personal touch and genuine warmth that made us feel truly welcome. While there was a bit of a wait for our food, the overall experience more than compensated for this minor inconvenience. Once our dishes arrived, we were treated to a culinary delight. The food was not only delicious but also intriguingly prepared, each dish showcasing tender and succulent ingredients that melted in our mouths. The flavors were well-balanced and thoughtfully composed, making each bite a new adventure. Additionally, we had the pleasure of conversing with a couple at a neighboring table who shared our enthusiasm for the food and service. They, too, found the experience outstanding, which reinforced our positive impressions. Overall, despite the slight delay in the food service, the combination of the enchanting location, personable service, and exquisite cuisine made this a dining experience to remember. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable meal in France.

Really nice restaurant with super friendly staff (especially considering we didn't speak French)! The food was very delicious and tasted fresh. The interior is really unique and cozy. There is a vegan option as well and good drinks. We'd definitely recommend it 😊

A cute little French restaurante! Absolutely loved the vibe, and although the menues were in French, the waitresses were very helpful and also they have QR code with the menue in English so definitely ask them for it! Can't quite remember what we ordered, but the steak tartare, is a must try!

Reasonable prices and filling food choices. Best for breakfast or brunch. The service was friendly and helpful even for non French speakers like me. The menu is accessible using the barcode on the table (see picture), and you will provide your order to the restaurant staff as per usual. Card payment accepted. This is located near the Cathedral but still further from the usual tourist brassieres. It’s good that they are open on Sundays when most shops in the area are closed.

Stopped for afternoon drink after visiting the Cathedral. Friendly waitress and very nice Riesling wine. Not in a main road, so nice and peaceful. We speak French so no problem but I know they do speak English there because I heard a waiter speaking to another customer about the very nice looking deserts! 😁

Terrible place. I have dinner with my son and husband. One of the toast ordered, arrived fully burnt… completely dark. We asked kindly to the waitress to change it because it was not healthy at all, also it was extremely hard, like a stone. The waitress said she does not want to bring a new one, and she brought the receipt including the burnt toast. Unbelievable!!! She was extremely rude. We will not come back and please consider this un respectful behaviour if you are going with your children. T

Cinnamon - Restaurant Indien is a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Strasbourg, where traditional Indian cuisine meets modern flair. This stylish eatery draws inspiration from the rich heritage of Indian cooking while embracing contemporary tastes and presentations. With its vibrant Hindu motifs adorning the space, Cinnamon offers an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu features inventive twists on beloved classics like chicken tikka masala and samosas, ensuring that both seasoned fans and newcomers to Indian cuisine will find something to savor.
One of the finest indian restaurants we have recently visited. Great service by one of the Tamil speaking guy from Sri-Lanka (except for the guy who refused a table at the start), wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. It was scrumptious!! Paneer makhani and naan a l'ail is the best combination. Lassi was fantastic too. Overall I would come without hesitation :)
Aravind — Google review
We had a wonderful time at Cinnamon! The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, we were given a choice of spice level which I really appreciate. The food was amazing, taste, presentation, everything. We got the Samosa starter to share, it comes with 3 delicious sauces. The Paneer Makhani and a creamy seasonal vegetable dish that were incredible. The portions are generous, I even took some home. The naan is delicious, and mango tiramisu was gorgeous! The place is elegant, ambience is calm and quiet (but not too quiet), the servers are extremely kind and professional. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We stumbled upon this place while we were looking for some Indian food nearby. We didn't had a reservation but it was a very short wait before we got our table. The service is incredible and very helpful with the queries on food choice. The dishes are portioned perfectly and the tastes are on mark. We tried only curry and lamb biryani and we were very happy with it.

Highly recommend… What a great dinner. The place is super clean. The staff are very sweet and friendly. They are dressed really nice too. The bathrooms are very clean. They accept AmEx !! I would for sure come back here

Some of the most delicious Indian food you will find anywhere, along with the most gracious and professional service. Every dish is unique so sample as much as possible. The appetizer platter and the wine selections are also very well done. Nice location just a few minutes from the cathedral. Can’t wait to get back!
J A — Google review
The food was truly excellent, full of flavor but in a subtle way. Every dish looked and tasted amazing and the portions are just right - in many Indian restaurants the portions are way too large but here there is a perfect balance. Many other reviewers mention the food is bland, that’s not the case at all. Yes, it’s not spicy but that means you can actually appreciate the flavours. We were with 2 kids and they also approved big time. Good vegetarian options as well. The service was great too, very helpful and attentive. I would say that for the truly, truly amazing food, the restaurant itself and its interior design is a little bit of a letdown - it’s ok but honestly the food deserves better: more intimate seating, better lighting, maybe some plants? There are also a few tables outside but they face onto a cramped sidewalk of a noisy street with a tram. Anyway, really happy with our dinner here.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant on our way back to Stuttgart from Alsace! The food was delicious, the mocktails were fantastic, and the atmosphere and interiors were absolutely lovely. Traveling with our one-and-a-half-year-old daughter and dog, we were so impressed by the courteous and accommodating staff. Highly recommend—five stars!

Located just a stone's throw away from the cathedral, Bistrot & Chocolat is a charming eatery that offers a wide variety of colorful and diverse dishes at very affordable prices. Whether you're looking to enjoy a brunch, a quick breakfast, or lunch, this place is always a great choice with its colorful and convivial atmosphere. The fresh and delicious cakes, tarts, and pastries have made this spot famous and are perfect for indulging in even before noon.
What a beautiful & charming veggie cafe with the beautiful view of the Cathedral! I enjoyed a quiet lunch to myself in their outside dining patio which was adorable. Staff was friendly! Everything here is vegetarian or vegan! Everything was labeled & clearly known what was vegan. They had a daily special of vegan risotto. One of the best meals I had while in France. The flavor was out of this world, fresh spinach, creamy, comforting & the crispy topping (sorry, wasn’t sure what it was!!!) was amazing!!! Such a beautiful presentation as well! Really nice to find a meat free spot in this area!

The only option they have for the brunch is a gluten-free menu. Unfortunately, it is not tasty at all. And super ordinary with no connection between items. The salad was not fresh and I can say it was old. You can see in the pictures. But the staff is nice and helpful and the atmosphere is amazing.

Incredible place with great food and drinks. O love chocolate, sweet and milky. Si if you too, you just try white chocolate and with a lemon pie will be just amazing.

We visited twice. The staff are brilliant, the atmosphere in the garden perfect. The coffee was great - latte macchiato, and the Black Forest cake, gluten free, was definitely worth the second trip to have it again Highly recommended.
Jaycen C — Google review
The atmosphere and service was white nice. The Gluten Free Menu on the other hand was far from that. There was only one brunch option. The bread was dry and the fixings were lacking flavor. Would not recommend going there as a gluten free person. The Gluten options were also just okay.

Bistrot & Chocolat is a charming café tucked away in an idyllic corner of Strasbourg. It offers a wonderful selection of vegan options, and the vegan brunch is absolutely delicious. The variety of hot chocolate choices is impressive, and the vegan hot chocolate in particular was wonderfully nutty, rich, and creamy. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a sweet moment. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great coffee, chocolate, and vegan delights!

This brasserie is excellent. We stumbled upon it by accident while looking for a place for lunch. And what a surprise! We were given a delicious platter with a variety of delicious treats that complemented each other perfectly. It's definitely recommended to eat or drink here. They also have a wide variety of hot chocolate. So all in all a good place to cross off if you are in Strasbourg

Organic restaurant
Vélicious is a charming vegan restaurant and café that offers a cozy dining room and a relaxed patio for guests to enjoy plant-based dishes and desserts. The menu features organic, plant-based cuisine, including a tempting vegan cheese platter with three varieties of cheese, bread, and fig chutney. One must-try dish is the Middle Eastern wrap with seitan, chickpeas, mint, lemon zest, and cream served with a fresh green salad.
Had to stop in on our visit to Strasbourg to this vegan place - ended up getting a "ham and cheese" sandwich and fruit pastry to go. I haven't had any meat sandwiches in a long time, and this tasted just like a ham and cheese - but better! I thought the sandwich would be dry - but it wasn't - it had a perfect amount of dressing with a hint of mustard - and the pickle on the sandwich was perfect. Very friendly service and even spoke English! We wish we lived here and we would visit often!
Brian M — Google review
The desserts are the best! Totally worth a visit for them. We also enjoyed the cheese platter to share (we suggest max 2/3 people because the portion is small). Main courses are good but a bit pricey as they are good but not as special. Service is really nice and welcoming!
Michela S — Google review
We have ordered curry soup, mac & cheese and musaka. The service was good and fast. The soup was very good, the mac & cheese was OK as well as the musaka. It is great that such restaurants exist but I feel like they do not make much efort in preparing really good food. It is perhaps due to the lack of competition?! We are vegetarians for tens of years and definitely can prepare better food than that. Overall it was OK but I was not impressed.
Sorin L — Google review
This place is amazing. The food is good but the desserts are the best. The service were fast and friendly and the place was nice and clean. I will repeat for sure if I go again to Strasburg. Even if it is only for a coffee and cake. They all looked delicious.

One of the best vegan places you can find here in Strasbourg! The staff is very friendly, the food is amazing, especially the desserts. Go there and you sure will have a fantastic and delicious time. Brunch, quick lunch, snacks or comfy dinner? Whatever you feel like, you will find it there!
Adeline S — Google review
Strassburg is not really a tourist place. During the weekend, there is no coffee place open, and restaurants open till 13 or 14, then close and open again at 19.00. As a tourist you should cook in the hotel room. Therefore this place is particular! It is open during the afternoon. Delicious food, very good quality products, good coffee with high-quality cakes. The only disappointment is that a cake bought to take away is sometimes almost 2 e cheaper than the one eaten at the table. Anyway, good job and recommended!
Miroslaw L — Google review
I didn’t get a chance to try the menu for dinner, but the vegan desserts were beautiful! The one I got was delicious and for a good price. It was a cherry dessert that I don’t know the name of, but it was fantastic! Only bummer was that the amazing looking hot dog is not served anymore.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than BASTARDO. This charming restaurant offers an array of delicious dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The ambiance is chic and trendy, with carefully curated decor that enhances its inviting atmosphere. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, it's an ideal spot for both locals and travelers alike.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and of excellent quality, making for a truly memorable dinner. The ambiance was delightful, with thoughtfully chosen decorations that created a chic and trendy vibe, adding to the overall charm of the place. The location is very central, making it convenient to visit, and it’s definitely worth trying. However, the tables were placed a bit too close to one another, which made the seating feel slightly cramped. Despite that, the authenticity and expert preparation of the dishes more than made up for it. I highly recommend trying the stracciatella – it was incredibly flavorful and one of the standout items on the menu! Booking is recommended to ensure you get a spot at this popular venue.

Amazing food. Today was our second time at Bastardo. The first time we had gnocchi with lamb, which was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten (please put it on your permanent menu). Today, I had pasta with scampi which was also excellent. The scampi were cooked perfectly in a divine tomato-based sauce. The Panna Cotta also was amazing. We also loved the attentive and friendly service. Thank you for putting up with our bad French. I look forward to returning next time we are in Strasbourg.

Amazing food for good rates considering its proximity to the centre. Really nice atmosphere and a lovely escape as it’s warm and outside is cold!! Staff are friendly and polite, and although we came with no reservations, they managed to give us a table that they needed in an hour- but we didn’t feel rushed. In fact they told us to take our time! Nonetheless, we still left before the reservation came!! I would recommend to book a reservation as it gets very busy, but this makes for a great atmosphere. The food is tasty and good quality, so is the wine.

Stopped in here for a midday lunch and it did not disappoint. We had pizza and pasta, both were amazing. The pizza was so thin with the perfect amount of cheese. This was one of my most favorite places on our 10 day trip! Manu was just so kind and welcoming to us. And Samea was a beautiful gem that made us smile. Service outstanding. Food wonderful. Atmosphere exactly what you would think about a little French cafe. Loved it ❤️

Usually folks say solo diners are placed in unpleasant locations - especially next to the toilet. Well I was placed in the corner, next to the passageway to the toilet (not that near), with a view of the action in the kitchen. I loved it. The energy in the kitchen is good - watching the chefs prepare the food, the service staff was friendly though they forgot about my bill when I asked for it - usual given how busy they were. I had the burrata with tomatoes, and the pasta with truffle and mushrooms. Wonderful!

Milano-Torino "Mito" offers a unique dining experience with its gourmet pizzas that blend tradition and innovation, combining ancient flavors with contemporary tastes. The pizza of the day is a recommended choice for satisfying midday cravings, while the happy hour from 5 pm to 7 pm presents a tempting offer including a Mito cocktail and a plate for just 10 euros. Visitors have praised the generous and delicious meatballs, suggesting an increase in tomato sauce and Parmesan to complement their size.
We had a very nice overall experience. The meatballs were generous and delicious. In my opinion, I’d add more tomato sauce and Parmesan because of the amazing size of the meatballs. I think the ratio of sauce compared to meatballs could be a little bit higher. Additionally, the dough that comes with the meatballs is out of this world. As for the Neapolitan pizza, I generally liked it, but in my opinion, there is room for small improvements. The mozzarella cheese felt unmelted and not integrated into the pizza, which bothered me. It seemed like you could pick the mozzarella off as if it wasn’t part of the pizza, and the pizza couldn’t hold the cheese and toppings as well as it should, as far as I know. The tiramisu was super great, a lovely ending. Thanks for great dinner Service is great

This was my overall impression was great. The pizza was awesome. It really was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Strasbourg and in france. The outdoor seating always takes it to another level on a beautiful spring day as happened on this occasion. The service was also really excellent. No complaints at all. I walked away completely satisfied.

The food is really good, but the service didn’t match up. We waited way too long when we ordered even a glass of wine or just to ask for water or ice but once again the food is very good so I can’t give it a lower review only based on this days service. Mainly a takeaway shop, limited seating inside. Their specialties are fresh sandwiches and custom salads. An English menu is available and no problem communicating with the friendly staff. Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Ill River, La Nouvelle Douane stands as a vibrant urban farmers market in Strasbourg, showcasing an impressive array of seasonal produce and regional delicacies. This charming historic building serves as a hub for 22 local farmers who proudly offer their fresh fruits, vegetables, artisanal cheeses, and exquisite wines directly to visitors. Open daily, it’s an ideal spot for those looking to indulge in high-quality local products while escaping inclement weather.
Extraordinarily nice collection of locally produced products. The yogurt and cheese selection was phenomenal! Highly recommend stopping by when you're in Strasbourg.

Local producers have gathered in this place. I rarely buy here because not all the products are organic. The smoked fish are particularly salty. There is only organic vanilla ice cream that I can consume here. It's really good. Updated on 24/05/2022 Back to this place after last purchase of ice-creams in December last year, I found the person who gave me advices on all kinds of meat quite patient and helpful. As I don't consume meat, his advices are precious for me. Strawberries are in season and the prices for different varieties are quite correct.

Shop and product OK, good quality. However, a new sqles woman made my experience unpleasant, twice. She is not properly trained and lacks knowledge of products but she admonished me twice on not knowing the name of the products, with unfriendly tone. I buy food, not names and I'm rather imcomfortable for her being rude with me for such a small issue. Her colleagues are nice, happy and laid out persons, which I generally expect in a bio shop. She just managed to make both me and her unhappy for a while... I am not sure this is what she wants in life?...

(Translated by Google) Very very disappointed, bland bread, low quality salmon, forced to spit several times because it was so rubbery, iceberg salad, all tasteless, with a slight horrible aftertaste in the mouth. Just annoying when you need a good meal after a hard day.... 90% of the sandwiches are "bizarre" recipes and not very usual mixes, apart from the buttered ham we don't really have the right to "basic" sandwiches ". I opened my sandwich and thought we had vomited in it. In short, to flee. P.S: Walk 5 minutes longer and the Petite Pause will satisfy you at the same price... P.S: Given the owner's response, I understand the many comments that speak of his friendliness... Aggressive, insolent, almost threatening (see "the neighborhood is small, we'll see each other again), so says... The truth hurts it looks like good luck. J'ai ouvert mon sandwich j'ai cru qu'on avait vomis dedans. Bref, à fuir. P.S : Faites 5min de plus à pied et la Petite Pause vous comblera au même prix... (Translated by Google) A good place to eat between lunchtime, because there is a choice, the ingredients are fresh and of good quality. And for this price (4 to 5.5€) you eat a sandwich which is much better garnished than what you generally find in the city center (it's not a simple buttered ham with a poor salad leaf in the middle) ! Here the recipes are more original, the ingredients go well together and have flavor, the bread has the right consistency. The sandwich is made a la minute in front of you. Plus the manager is very friendly :) (Original) Une bonne adresse pour manger entre midi, car il y a du choix, les ingrédients sont frais et de qualité. Umm. Very delicious pizza like the one I ate in Napoli. It is an affordable pizzeria, for example this pizza costs €12 and has a big portion. The service is kind. The place itself is small and cozy. 10/10

The food was amazing but the place is a bit too small. It does work well with the authentic atmosphere and Italian feel to the place, but you feel constantly as if you're in the way. Also, but that was probably due to tiredness, we wanted to split the bill but the waiter charged the whole amount to my partner who wasn't ready to see so much money off his bank account 😅

Great pizzas, they taste the same as the ones I've tried in Italy👏🏻. Had the Queen Capricciosa and it was delicious. The Nobilta and Arrabbiata were also liked by the party. Ingredients taste fresh, and the pizzas are well cooked, nicely charred. Service was good and a warm welcome by the staff. The place is small, so reservations are necessary.

The pizza are so good! The pasta is very well don and the quality of the ingredients is very high! The service is very friendly and nice! Ready for any need you might’ve have! The inconvenience is that the tables are too close, as the restaurant is very small, so you are too much closed to your neighbour tables, you can be in their conversations easily! So, no intimacy, but good food and service!

Not a wood fired Napolitan Pizza which by definition, some would argue, cannot be a great Napolitan Pizza. It's a good pizza for sure and I'm not trying to be a purist, but it is lacking the wood fire taste. Ingredients are of great quality and the atmosphere and outdoor terrace is very enjoyable. Koholã Strasbourg - poke & salad bar is a quick and convenient spot for a delicious dinner. The poke is prepared rapidly with fresh ingredients, offering the perfect combination of flavors. While some may prefer the rice with less vinegar, it's still enjoyable. This cute poke place features signature bowls with celebrity-inspired names like Lionel Messea or Sharkira, as well as make-your-own bowl options. The friendly staff provides indoor and outdoor seating for a pleasant dining experience.
We had the Shakira Poke bowls for Lunch,it was really tasty but we would recommend switching the mango and tomato for something else. Also the spicy mayo sauce is delicious!A Regular bowl is more than enough for lunch 💫

I'd love to give a higher score, and the Gyōza is really great. But, as a poke bowl fan, I had higher expectations. The rice was very overcooked and mushy, there was barely any salmon, and the mango was not fresh at all but I had the impression it had defrosted or been tinned. I was not impressed with the Poke at all.

I was walking by in a rush and had to grab something very quick for dinner, I couldn’t wish for more ! My poké was prepared very quickly, staff was very nice, all the ingredients were very fresh and most importantly all the ingredients which make a perfect combo for me were there. (Translated by Google) They no longer do vegetarian/meatless daily specials. This was the case for several years, where every week, the Monday dish was without meat. It finally allowed a reasonably priced alternative to eat a good hot dish for lunch that changed every week while remaining vegetarian. There are obviously still sandwiches and salads but I find it a shame to “regress” to this level. However, I was important that I was a place where ecology and well-being were advocated. I am deeply disappointed in their decision to exclude vegetarians for the daily specials. Once again we are punished for not wanting animal cruelty on our plate. I will obviously edit this review when the vegetarian options return for the dish of the day.

Each week brings new flavors to explore, making every visit unique. Diners can savor exquisite sharing plates such as artichokes, trout, and lamb—each dish bursting with flavor and presented beautifully.
What a treat!! Very nice and intimate little restaurant, friendly staff and excellent exquisite sharing diahes. Each one with delicate and well worked flavors. Nice wine, Mezcal and at reasonable prices. Big recommendation for everyone looking for something out of the ordinary!

Not Mexican at all, but some nice flavors. Hostess was very much in a rush to get my order, so I felt a little pressured and to some degree unwelcomed. …only one cocktail available: margarita 😬 The two items that I wanted to order were NOT available, so I had to choose others that I wasn’t all that excited about. Overall, mediocre experience.
Nelly G — Google review
Great Place to have some Mexican tapas. The food is great, with and accurate presentation and full of flavors, I loved the citrus touch that break down grease. We tasted the artichokes, the truite and the lamb. Everything was delicious, but the portions are tapas, small dishes. They change the menu in a weekly bases. The wine offer is a bit limited, if you request a bottle you have more options but for single glass you only have one option by type of wine. The service is great, very attentive, friendly and quick. The ambient is cost, tiny restaurant providing you a relax and nice place where to have an intimate easy dinner. The price is correct compared to Strasbourg standards. Absolutely recommended!
Isaura F — Google review
Someone needs to tell me what is Mexican about this restaurant. First, the staff is not particularly accommodating nor warm. The "cocktail" selection is also quite disappointing (only two unknown mixes were available). Food quality was good and the small dishes were tasty but none of them recalled me of Mexican cuisine. Cannot really say it is a good value for money. I wouldn't recommend it or go back.
Paolo B — Google review
Very bad experience due to the "house rules". Not clear why they couldn't just add an extra plate for a table of 6, though we didn't ask for extra space in the dining area (people squeezed on the couch). The explanations about the food to be ordered were not clear - are customers obliged to take more food than they would eat just because these are the house rules? Anyway, the rudeness of the lady in charge of the serving made us close our evening short there. ***Reply to owner's reply*** First, thank you for taking your time to respond so aggressively to my comment. So, let's get the fast straight from our point of view: - in your message you did not explain or present excuses for the rudeness of the person in charge - as you said, there were 3 persons already there at 7 and the rest arrived at 8 or around and we ordered straight on. for the 7th person you did not have to bring any extra chair and that person did not occupy any extra space in the restaurant, so the service space in the restaurant remained intact - even with the rest of the persons being late, we still ordered food in advance for some of them - seeing that the bill for 7 persons was 198e you might want to rectify the fact that we payed 15e/pers (it's just math and facts) - and we would have ordered more, but the comments of your staff refrained us from doing so - we never pretended to be better than everyone else, but reading the aggressive replies you are posting on each and every comment that refers to the same thing - service and customer care - it says a lot about you - as for the respect to your staff - I don't think any of us was disrespectful, we are not that kind of persons. No worries, I know (and we all from the group know) how to handle the relationship with my (our) friends, you don't have to tell me how or when we should apologise to them.
Gabriela C — Google review
Food: some ok, some good, nothing special Served as tapas, to share, but no plates, making it really hard to eat (messy). Tacos were served on top of corn (raw, not edible) which was kind of weird as some got stuck on the filling of the taco. Also food was really small for the prices Service: seemed in a rush all the time even though it was not busy. Didn’t take the time to explain anything, didn’t tell you the wines price, and later in the evening told us to rush as there are two services (kind of awkward). When asked about the wines the guy just opened a bottle and started serving… Room: really small, one customer on top of each other, feels like you are dining with other people. Music: really loud and weird choice; rap, hip hop, doesn’t make any sense for such a small place. Bottom line: overly priced for what you get; I understand and appreciate the concept, the food is ok/good but the environment is really annoying and service not good at all

Located in the heart of Strasbourg, L' Ancienne Douane is a historic restaurant housed in an exceptional building dating back to 1401. It offers a typical Alsatian ambiance and serves generous traditional cuisine. The chef's enticing menu features specialties such as choucroute royale, escargots à l'alsacienne, foie gras de canard, and baeckeoffe using local Alsace produce.
Excellent service and very good excellent food in the style of the region we had a great meal with drinks for 218,00€. The restaurant has ample seating and a really lovely outdoor dining area overlooking the river. It has a genuine atmosphere and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable . A must visit when in Strasbourg !

The restaurant got a classic interior, with nice music, atmosphere is good, staffs are friendly and fun. The appetizer is chicken liver plate , served with bread and cucumbers, it is rich in taste, with aid of vinegar, yummy. The duck leg confit is good, it is not too greasy, the duck meat is so soft and tender, with the sauce, it is simply delicious. The dessert is yummy too. It is so creamy and moderately sweetened, love it. I had a good time, thank you!

We stopped here for lunch. The hostess was not very friendly and I’d even say rude. It’s expected. But our waitress was very nice and quite lovely. Our food was delicious. My veal was kind of chewy but still delicious. The bread rolls were fantastic with mustard! All of our “German” dishes were very well prepared and we enjoyed our food. Our waitress was originally from Jacksonville Florida and it was great getting some Southern hospitality along with my French service. This made a big difference I think in our experience. Our waitress was truly nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend this to family or friends.
Richard H — Google review
Horrible experience when we expected authentic French cuisine at the price we paid. We ordered the steak and poulet supreme and were extremely disappointed. The steak was overdone and tough, sauce was not very fantastic and too sweet. Poulet was not marinated at all and was very plain on the inside, only covered with sauce. The mushroom sauce was too thick and floury, tasted like flour and overly starchy. Really do not recommend this place at all. We paid over 50+ euros to get poor food of such standard and are quite disappointed. The only consolation would be the handmade bread provided as a pre-meal snack which was the best food item of the meal, sadly. Escargots were decent. Atmosphere was nice if you sit outdoors near the canal, but would not be back for the mains unless we have a small bite or drink

We had a fantastic time at this traditional restaurant. We booked our table several weeks in advance as we were a group of 17 including 3 kids. ( The place was almost full about 15min after our arrival at 7pm!) We were welcomed with open arms, everyone was so friendly and especially caring for our smallest 1yo member. We were seated in a separate private room which was fantastic. We were able to close the door and so it almost felt like having a very delicious meal at our own home. Our assigned waiter was funny and well on top of his game. Toilets were very clean and there was even a separate room to change diapers. Another cool thing: the table cloth was actually made out of paper and served as perfect canvases for the drawings of the little ones while waiting on the food.

This place does not serve burritos. Authentic burritos contain beans and rice. Instead, this place fills their burritos with French fries. I had many real burritos in Mexican restaurants and sadly what I ate here does not deserve the name. A fantastic place to be in when you are in Strasbourg. We came last year but couldn’t get in. We luck out this year. One of us had their Christmas menu degustation and the other had the Christmas choucroute special. The meal was fantastic as both had the goose meat. The foie gras tasted creamy and refined. Main was an explosion in taste and texture, again very refined. The dessert with sprinkle of dry fruits on the fromage was an excellent choice to end the meal. Highly recommended. Special mention to the wait staff, friendly, helpful and special thanks to Kim who served us during lunch. PS - retail shop is down stair where you can buy their charcuteries.

PUR etc. Malraux is a delightful eatery located in Strasbourg, with additional spots in Paris, that champions healthy eating without being strictly vegetarian. The menu features clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring everyone can find something to enjoy. During my visit, I was treated to two delicious vegetarian lasagnas—one with a rich bolognese sauce and another layered with polenta, spinach, and mushrooms. The philosophy behind PUR etc.
Really nice restaurant, vegan/vegetarian friendly (there are animal product based dishes, but only a few and as a second option for "flexitarians"). Very "trendy" and a bit gimmicky, but they had some of the best vegan food I found in a French restaurant yet. Would heartily recommend the Pad Thai 👌

The Regent Petit France Hotel & Spa has a modern take on classic French cuisine with Chef Boris Derendingers philosophy of working with ingredients without altering them for the benefit of individual flavors. The steak tartare, Caesar salad and club sandwich are all must-tries!
My wife and I each had the tasting menu and it was outstanding. Each dish was very well thought out and I have never had a two Michelin star meal but if this is what it is like I will gladly come back every time. Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Krutenau, Bistrot des Rosiers is a recent addition that has quickly gained attention. This independent restaurant, created by two talented chefs, Anne-Sophie and Berengere, offers a sincere dining experience. The dishes are not only beautifully designed but also perfectly executed, taking diners on a seasonal journey filled with femininity and delicacy. The wine list consisting of 100% natural wines complements the culinary experience.
i had lunch here by myself last week and i had a beautiful time. the food was fresh and tasted sososo good. je me suis régalé. merci beaucoup Bérengère et Anne Sophie!

To be honest, this was a big disappointment, i have been to the chef’s previous restaurant and it was incredible, one of the best i have ever tasted!!! I still remember some of the dishes I ate at comptoir a manger as they were exceptional! i had big hopes. The day we were there the menu was very disappointing, it was just nothing special, extremely mediocre food, i would say not good even, no atmosphere whatsoever and the worst of all, we saw the waitress pour wine from a glass back into the bottle. In general, it felt lime they don’t care much :( I am really sorry to write this, but i hope this helps the team to make the necessary tweaks.

(Translated by Google) A bistro that is worth the detour in Strasbourg! The atmosphere is very nice, with French decoration, simple and warm. It feels like home! The unique 4-course blind menu offered in the evening for 45 euros is a great discovery. Local, seasonal products, elaborate cuisine, it was simply delicious. The visuals are also nice. I will come back to try the lunch formula.

(Translated by Google) One of the best addresses in Strasbourg. The menu was sublime, the food and wine pairing perfect, with excellent service to boot. Just sit back, let yourself be carried away and enjoy a real culinary experience. The menu changes every week and I hesitate to reserve my table every Friday evening! (Original) Une des meilleures adresses de Strasbourg. Le menu était sublime, l’accord mets et vins parfait, avec un excellent service en prime. (Translated by Google) A small restaurant in size but big in its love of sharing and gastronomy! In the evening, there are dishes to share that highlight seasonality, the producers and the product itself. It is advisable to take all the dishes offered so that the two of you have eaten enough.

Salad shop
Picadeli, now known as the salad bar, is a delightful spot located at the entrance of the Prince of Wales Hospital. This bustling canteen is particularly popular among hospital staff and visitors alike. With an impressive selection of fresh ingredients to create your own salads and sandwiches, it caters to diverse tastes. During my visit, I enjoyed a delicious salad paired with a moricette and topped off with a rich chocolate fondant for dessert—an indulgent treat!

(Translated by Google) Frankly welcome and service to be reviewed especially in this type of place where the patients are already not at the top of their morals, but in addition we have waitresses and cashiers in a bad mood and poorly polite who pull their faces and clearly have no I don't want to be there apart from the very friendly young brunette but the others change jobs or positions... (Translated by Google) I ate this lunchtime in this “canteen”, in fact it is no longer called Picadeli, salad bar. This is a place where you can buy salads and sandwiches, especially frequented by hospital staff. I ate a salad with a moricette with a nice little chocolate fondant for dessert. For two people we paid €26 including drinks and coffee. For this price I think we ate very well. The room is clean and the staff welcoming. This place is located at the reception level of the Prince of Wales hospital. I will definitely return there for my next hospital appointment.

(Translated by Google) Clean and well-presented, despite the crowds on the day of my visit. A few vegetables were missing, but the essentials were there. Be careful, however, as the trays are sold by weight (the sign indicating this had fallen off), unlike in some restaurants, which sell by the plate; the difference can quickly double the price.

(Translated by Google) Be careful, the meal in the bowls is cold. There's nothing to heat it so it's not good at all. It closes at 6 p.m. but by 5:15 p.m. the salads are already put back in the fridge and the bar is empty. Well, there are always sandwiches. (Original) Attention le repas dans les bols est froide. Seattle’s Best coffee is a cozy and quiet spot that offers a variety of delicious pastries, including the highly recommended Paris Brest. With its central setting in Turckheim, this budget-friendly gem is perfect for solo or couple travelers looking to explore the Alsace region.
We had stopped in this town to get a rent a car. Wanted to have breakfast and saw this cafe. Everything we tried here was amazing. Coffee was great. Croissants were fresh. We even got our selves some macarons. 5 stars !!
