Parks
Parc de l'Orangerie is a charming park located in Strasbourg, dating back to the 17th century. Situated near the European Parliament and the Court of Human Rights, it boasts a rich history that dates back to the French Revolution. Originally home to 140 orange trees confiscated from Chateau de Bouxwiller, only three of these trees remain today and can be seen in the park's greenhouses on certain days.
A lovely park and formal gardens. Great to wander about and do bird spotting. Check out the huge nests on the building's chimneys! Just a short walk from EU parliament which makes it a great stopping point before walking down road to catch no.2 bus back towards the central station.
Andrew R — Google review
The park is beautiful and peaceful. There is a nice lake with ducks and a small white temple that looks very pretty. The grass is green and there are many trees for shade. It is a great place for a walk, a picnic, or to relax. The atmosphere is calm, and it is perfect for sunny days.
Ashkan — Google review
Sprawling well kept public park at the edge of Strasbugh. Easily accessible by tram, it was the perfect stop for a picnic. Well marked paths made the ponds easy to find and it was a nice quiet place to relax and unwind away from the hubub and touristy areas
Pam R — Google review
A very nice park, beautiful flower arrangements and animals. The stork‘s are impressive and not only around their nest . A nice waterfall and if you have time rent a boat We will come back
Bernd — Google review
we would loved to stay longer if not raining. it was a quiet garden to walk around to the lake and had to make a quick run when the rain starts pouring.
Shalli A — Google review
Big park for all family, some big space for playing and having children play ground. They grow different kinds of flowers at different places. There are free toilets. It is very good to spend relaxing time with family or friends.
Jafar A — Google review
Very nice large park with lots of trees, a small lake and nice paths. Great for running, walking or having a picnic. There are ice cream shops in 2 entrances, parking space and playgrounds for children.

Place Kléber is Strasbourg's main square, offering a spacious pedestrian area lined with shops and cafes. The square hosts the famous Christkindelsmarik de Strasbourg Christmas market, featuring an impressive fir tree that marks the beginning of the festive season. This market is part of eleven markets spread across central Strasbourg, each with its own specialties but all offering ornaments, gifts, pottery, linens, foods, mulled wine, and the city's symbolic storks.
Such a beautiful part of Strasbourg worth a visit! I visited during the Spring. Beautiful floral blossoms were everywhere, the buildings are historic & stunning & so many adorable shops! I enjoyed exploring around taking photographs of the charming area & shopping.
Heather B — Google review
Christmas here is very festive. It is very crowded with people coming from all over the world. But the holiday/christmas feeling is still there. I think people are just minding their own business, each wanting to enjoy their own holiday, no nuisances.
Roan — Google review
With the Xmas market in full throttle, hard to get around but perfect atmosphere for any festive market. I hope the tradition continues for ages. We stayed on in an apartment opening to the square for a wholesome experience but found that our stairs to the parking lot was the universal toilet for emergencies.
Kawé C — Google review
Place Kléber is Strasbourg’s vibrant central square, named after General Kléber in 1840. Surrounded by cafés, shops, and the striking Aubette building, it’s fully pedestrian and alive with events, fountains, and seasonal highlights—like the towering Christmas tree. A perfect spot to soak in city life!
Prabu S — Google review
The heart of Strasburg is absolutely beautiful! We came in April and the weather was great and the crowd levels were low! So much amazing architecture, cute shops and cobblestone streets. The views around every corner are amazing.
Shauna T — Google review
The old city is gorgeous. However, it is overpopulated so that you can barely enjoy the area.
Yordan Y — Google review
Beautiful city with old town. It is amazing place to spend time for Christmas time. Lots of festivities and activities. Full of lights and people. We loved it . Looking forward to another trip there.
M F — Google review
The Christmas Market and winter decor was very well worth visiting. The market is expansive and decorated nicely. The plaza itself was relatively clean. If you go on Dec 26 or just during the market, please be aware of how cramped it can become towards evening. People can be pushy and disrespectful.

Specialty Museums
Le Vaisseau, situated in Strasbourg, is a science discovery center designed for children aged 3 to 15. The museum offers around 130 interactive displays and activities covering various topics such as the human body, plants and animals, building and construction, mathematics, and logic. Visitors can explore the garden with science and sensory trails, a pond, and an orchard.
Great indoor activity for kids, specially young ones. It does have some science related sections but it’s not a “history of science museum” like you might find in other cities. Kids loved it, it seemed modern and well maintained. Signs and explanations were in French, German, and English. The place has its own parking area (and in our case we got a free voucher at the exit)
Hugo K — Google review
Googled museums and it said that this was a science museum, and it is, but just one for kids, I should have read the fine print. I thought that as long as I am there, why not nuture my inner child and just check it out. Ticket price is pretty cheap, 7 euros I think. Well designed and probably a totally cool place for a kid. It's nice that there are places like this for kids, and for those of us who want to remember what that was like. The exhibits, tasks and games would be very good for children. If you have kids and are in Strasbourg, this would be a nice place to go. They also have seating and possibly beverage or food services for the adults.
Kevin ( — Google review
Great place to visit with young (and older) children. There are lots of sensory experiences for babies. We loved the outside too. Shame about the cafe being closed but happy there were vending machine options.
Lara W — Google review
We had such a great time here and will definitely be back! If you buy a subscription the same day you come, they'll reimburse your entry. You can bring food and eat it there, but the café doesn't offer much. The website says ideal for 2 and up but my almost one-year-old had a blast.
Lindsey R — Google review
A great place to take your kids on a rainy day or when they're done with "endless days looking at old houses and churches!" The museum is very interactive and our kids. 7 and 12, would have stayed way longer than the 3 hours we spent there. I'd make sure to bring my own lunch as there are very limited options for buying food but there's a big "family pic-nick area" where people sit down to eat - and grown-ups can sit and drink vending machine coffee. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Ragnheidur E — Google review
It’s okay, but not really what I expected from a “science museum.” It’s more like a big indoor playground with a few fun interactive things here and there. Probably great for younger kids (around 8 and under), but older ones might get bored pretty fast. It wasn’t bad — just not much in terms of real science exhibits.
Onlysterbsli — Google review
A very nice science museum, especially well-suited for families with children. You can easily spend at least 2–3 hours exploring the exhibits. It's best to visit on a less busy day, as the museum can get quite crowded and queues often form at the most popular activities. There are many attractions for young children, as well as engaging experiences for older kids and adults. Paid car parking and a free of charge bike locker are available just outside. the museum.
Petros P — Google review
Unfortunately, the restaurant was a big disappointment. The steak was tough, full of gristle, and the sauce had no flavor at all. The duck breast was also very chewy. I honestly don’t understand the high rating (4.6) and all the glowing reviews — it feels like they were written by people who have never tried truly good food. Overall, it’s an absolutely average place and definitely not worth the price.

Amazing night show, beauty! Can’t beat German buildings in France.
Arshbir B — Google review
The Grande Île is an island that lies at the historic centre of the city of Strasbourg in France. Its name means "Large Island", and derives from the fact that it is surrounded on one side by the main channel of the Ill river and on the other side by the Canal du Faux-Rempart, a canalised arm of that river.
Tokir — Google review
La Grande Île in Strasbourg is a nostalgic treasure, where history whispers through its cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses. As you wander, the majestic silhouette of the Strasbourg Cathedral looms overhead, a constant reminder of the city's rich past. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with the aroma of freshly baked pastries and the sounds of laughter from nearby cafés, evokes memories of leisurely afternoons spent exploring its charming alleys. Each corner reveals a story, from the quaint shops to the scenic canals that reflect the enchanting architecture. This UNESCO World Heritage site captures the essence of Strasbourg, blending French and German influences, making it a unique cultural gem. La Grande Île is not just a place to visit; it's a journey through time, leaving you with a longing to return to its timeless beauty.

It was really nice to spend some times with my family here. History seeps through the twisting lanes and cafe-rimmed plazas of Grande Île, Strasbourg's Unesco World Heritage–listed island bordered by the River Ill. These streets – with their photogenic line-up of wonky, timber-framed houses in sherbet colours – are made for aimless ambling.

Strasbourg City Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in the city’s past and its vibrant cultural identity.

In depth museum about the history of Strasbourg in a way that was not boring at all. The model of the city was amazing to see. It is 2 floors and takes about 2 hours to see everything thoroughly. Also the automatic audio guide was nice!
Tara E — Google review
All of the workers were so helpful and kind, even though I could not speak French they were so understanding. Plus the museum was beyond amazing. I learnt so much about the history of Strasbourg and everything was so interesting, I did not understand how the time had passed. I highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in Strasbourg.
Melike C — Google review
Very informative local museum exploring Strasbourg's history as a city with one foot in Germany and one in France (though, it has to be said, it's a bit more interested in the latter). I was surprised to find we'd spent two hours going round the array of fascinating exhibits. My favourites were the four wonderful paintings once commissioned by the gardeners' guild
Hugh P — Google review
The museum was small in size, but it captured the entire history of Strasbourg beautifully. It left a deep impression on my children, teaching them many historical facts and sparking their curiosity. If you’re visiting Strasbourg, I highly recommend bringing your kids here — it’s both educational and unforgettable!
Hee K — Google review
Small, but incredible museum. Security was a bit much. One security guard sailed straight into me, demanding that I show him my ticket for entrance. I felt like I was being unreasonably watched the entire time, as if they thought I was going to do something warranting an incident report or police response. One security guard walked past me, and as he passed he made three cryptic coughs, as if to signal to another security guard or employee in the next room that I was entering soon. It was actually quite discomforting. So much so that I decided NOT to spend my money in the boutique on the way out. Regardless, the rest of the experience was incredible and informative, and highly recommended to anyone who would like to learn a brief summary of the history of Alsace from 5000 BC up to the Second World War and implications of the present. Thank you.
J F — Google review
A stellar museum detailing the history of Strasbourg and its people and industry from medieval times to the present day. Sorted chronologically with a huge amount of detai and all captions in French, German and English. The city model at a scale of 1:600 on the first floor spectacular. And remarkably cheap, the concessionary rate was €3.50.

Great museum with a fantastic collection of modern art. Very nice presentation that includes impressionist art. The check-in is very convenient, with tickets at euro 7.50 per person. I went in the morning after they opened. Highly recommend this museum!

We arrived when it opened and it was not busy. We toured the first floor as the second floor was closed. Despite having our city pass, admission was free since the second floor was closed. The museum features a small collection of impressionist artists and a variety of modern art. All very interesting.

The exhibition is rich of famous pieces, and the building is also very comfortable to stay for several hours. There's an artcafe on the roof as well, with an awesome view on the city. The only inconvenience was that the wardrobe was closed.

Located near Iron Man Square, Église Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune is a Protestant church with a rich history dating back to the 7th century. The church features a charming cloister that was renovated in 2005 and boasts arcade galleries dating as far back as 1031. Its interior is adorned with stunning vaults and vibrant frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries, making it one of Strasbourg's oldest and most captivating sites.
Wonderful church with mix of architectural styles. The frescoes are amazing. A very quiet and serene feeling when walking around. We liked the 'parade of countries' art. Even the pews were decorated a bit differently than most churches. Definitely worth the time.
M B — Google review
This church reflects over a millennium of religious and architectural history. Originally a 7th-century Merovingian church, it evolved into a Romanesque structure in the 11th century and later gained Gothic additions between the 13th and 14th centuries. The church became Lutheran in 1524 and functioned under a shared Catholic-Protestant use (simultaneum) from 1682 until the late 19th century. A major restoration in 1901 unified the space and introduced neo-Gothic elements. A rood screen is an architectural feature in many medieval churches that separates the nave (where the congregation sits) from the chancel or choir (where the clergy perform the liturgy). Typically made of wood or stone, it often includes a central opening flanked by side passages, and it is crowned with a large crucifix ("rood" comes from the Old English word for cross). These screens were both functional and symbolic, marking the division between the secular and sacred areas of the church. While most rood screens were removed during the Reformation, Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune in Strasbourg retains a rare example. It spans five arcades and is topped by a 1780 Silbermann organ. Medieval churches were often richly decorated with colorful wall paintings, though few examples of this survive today. The frescoes at Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune in Strasbourg date from the 14th and 15th centuries and were uncovered in the 19th century. One of the largest frescoes is the “Cortège des Nations” (Procession of the Nations), an allegorical composition showing various peoples advancing toward Christ in majesty. Another is the Navicella, a medieval depiction of a ship representing the Church navigating the seas of the world, echoing Giotto’s famous mosaic in Rome.
Kent W — Google review
We got there by chance. The most impressive church I have been to! It's very old with rich history. The inside decoration is a remaking by the Germans and shows Byzantine elements. There where printed information in all languages, even Greek!
Stella P — Google review
Great gothic church that lets you take a peek into the architecture of the middle ages. Beautiful inside! Just makes me sad to see these churches fundraising for restoration:( would definitely make a visit if you want a quiet place to contemplate or see what a medieval church looked like.
Rachael K — Google review
This ancient church is very well-worth a visit. Its main elements date to the late-13th and early-14th centuries though parts are much older. It is particularly notable for its fascinating medieval frescoes, its impressive rib-vaulted roof, its more modern stained glass windows, and its medieval cloister. Very highly recommended.
Hugh P — Google review
Great gothic style architectural masterpiece worth visiting while in Strasbourg. The paintings on the wall tell their own story, taking you back to the medieval period when it was built. Although wear and tear is evident, the church is very well maintained.
Benjamin M — Google review
Église Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune, Strasbourg ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Strasbourg! Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune is a peaceful and atmospheric church with breathtaking architecture and intricate stone carvings. The Gothic entrance alone is a masterpiece, with stunning sculptures and beautiful red doors that draw you in immediately. Inside, it’s calm, spiritual, and full of historical charm. It’s less crowded than the main cathedral, making it a perfect place to slow down and reflect. Open every day from 10 am to 6 pm – a must-visit for lovers of history, architecture, or anyone seeking a quiet, inspiring moment away from the tourist crowds.
Thái B — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous frescoes dating from the medieval period, repainted in 1900. The 14th century roof screen is also spectacular, with the cloister considered the oldest surviving ones north of the Alps. Unfortunately a service was going on so I couldn’t walk all the way around. Free to enter.

Wine cellar
Historic Sites
Nestled beneath the Strasbourg Hospital, the Cave Historique des Hospices de Strasbourg is a remarkable landmark that dates back to 1395. This historic cellar offers visitors an enchanting glimpse into the past, showcasing a collection of around 60 majestic oak barrels filled with exquisite Alsatian wines. The unique origin of these wines stems from a time when patients would pay for their medical care with land and vineyards, making wine not just a beverage but also an essential part of both religious and medicinal practices.
Nice place to visit and learn about the history of the hospital cave and winemaking. A must visit for people who enjoy wine. There is a nice collection of wines from local producers to buy and 3 times per year there are organized wine tasting events. The entrance is free of charge and if you want an audio guide there is a small fee of 3 euro per person to rent it.
Petros P — Google review
I had a great experience visiting the historic cave section and the wine cellar. The entrance is free of charge and there was no queue on a Monday. Seeing the various wine barrels was very interesting, including the story on the barrel from 1472 which is also displayed. The wine from 1472 is still kept in a barrel in that cellar! On a side note, the Hospices building where the cellar is located is really interesting looking and the cellar also offers a cool break from the heat on hot days.

This hidden historic cellar offers good selection of local wines. Being not too touristy and free to enter, makes it a great place to visit, especially if you are a wine lover. There's a rich history behind this place, holding one of the oldest wines in the world! Take care if you are allergic to mould!
Stefan N — Google review
I love this wine cave! Not only can you visit the cave with one of the oldest wine in France (1472), and the biggest barrel I've ever heard of (20,000 liters), but you can buy some amazing choice France wine. A great place to visit if you enjoy wine.
Barbara C — Google review
Wine cellar that holds the oldest wine in the world. They have lot of old wine barrels and old tunnels used in the past and a piece of history on how wine is used to treat patients. They also have a very big collection of wine you can buy, from all over France as well as from their own production. If you are a wine person, this is a must visit. If you are a big group, you can also book wine tasting.

Must visit. Free entry. They also have shop. A big variety of wine. You can visit all that place

I absolutely adore this place! Every time I visit Strasbourg, I make sure to stop by here. it’s just too special to miss. It’s free to enter, which is a big plus, and it’s a place steeped in rich history. The cave was originally established in 1395, and it holds the oldest barrel-stored wine in the world, dating back to 1472! How amazing is that? Just knowing you’re standing among barrels that have been around for centuries adds a special charm to the place. The selection of wine is impressive—whether you’re into Alsace wines or curious about other French regions, they have it all. There’s a lot to explore in terms of both wines and the historical significance of the hospital itself, as it used to serve the city's sick and poor, with wine playing an important role in the treatments. The ambiance is fantastic—vaulted ceilings, atmospheric lighting, and rows upon rows of bottles. You’ll get to learn about wine production in Alsace, taste a few options, and even pick up some bottles to bring home. It’s not too touristy either, so it’s great if you want a more authentic experience in the heart of Strasbourg. Overall, it’s a brilliant stop if you enjoy history, want to learn about wine, or just fancy a unique experience in the city. Definitely add it to your itinerary!

The Strasbourg Covered Bridges, a set of three bridges and four towers dating back to the 13th century, are located in a charming setting with scenic views. Despite losing their roofs in the 18th century, they still retain their name. The four towers overlooking the bridges date from the 14th century and were part of the city's former ramparts. These historic structures have been classified as a Monument historique since 1928.
It's is a very beautiful scenic place with small bridges and play ground. The area has many small barrages which regulates flow of water. This place is heavenly during Christmas market.

This is a beautiful view! It is worth checking out while in Strasbourg! The bride is beautiful, lots of historic charming buildings & a wisteria covered house that’s right next to the bridge. Bring your camera- very photogenic!!!

Iconic spot in Strasbourg. It is private property but can be enjoyed from the bridge. Happy to have caught it on a sunny day in late summer.
Amanda D — Google review
Good place for walking and enjoying the city vide on river side and the water views. Even in city centre, it’s not crowded and no much noises. There is train for site seeing started from cathedral, if you take that you could enjoy the site seeing with less walking. Sunny day will be more nice and great for visitors. From this point you will get nice view of the cathedral. There no much place for siting and enjoying the river side.

This is a charming series of three bridges along with four towers that cross the narrow islands of the River Ill in the Petite France area in Strasbourg. They were constructed during the 13th-century and formed part of the defensive wall around the city during the Middle Ages and are now a Historic Monument of France (1928). Originally made of covered wooden bridges, what you find today are sandstone bridges with cobblestone surface. It is a charming location to walk in between the medieval towers which continue to stand as well. Views in both directions are really nice. It is a great spot to pass by while sightseeing around Petit France.

Nestled within a striking 19th-century water tower, the Château Musée Vodou in Strasbourg offers an extraordinary glimpse into the world of voodoo. This unique museum is home to over 1,000 artifacts from West African countries such as Ghana, Benin, Togo, and Nigeria. Each piece tells a story of cultural significance—used for religious ceremonies, medicinal purposes, and even witchcraft.
Amazing. Opened my eyes to a religion I only knew through ridiculous characterisation through comic books and a Bond movie. Very helpful young lady on reception. The audio guide was easy enough to upload even for an old technophobe like me. Take the short tram journey from the tourist centre and have your eyes opened. Wonderful place

Amazing place with a very rich history and interesting collection. The audio guide and its downloadable read-out are full of information and insights. The water tower itself is also absolute eye candy.

This museum is not far from the city center. Is about 20 minutes on your feet. Very atmospheric and nice. A big collection of voodoo stuff. This collection is private, so the entrance you have to pay. It’s costs 14 euro for adults. You will have to scan the qr code and to listen about the collection.
Lorelin L — Google review
Extremely interesting exhibition which encourages visitors to know more about Voodoo and cultural traditions and diversity. I’ve never visited anything like that. It’s vital to understand the true nature of such cultural things. The museum itself is situated in an ancient tower which makes your visit even more enjoyable. However please note that some exhibits may be shocking. Read some I do in advance.

Discover the historic cellars of Strasbourg at the medieval Hospices, where wine has been produced and stored since 1395. The proceeds supported a charitable hospital and almshouse, providing shelter, food, and medical care to the needy. Take a boat tour on the canals departing from Rohan Palace with Batorama for an all-weather experience. Explore the old town's culture through a walking food tour visiting 4 restaurants/bars to taste local specialties.
We booked this tour on GetYourGuide for 2 friends that had never ridden a Segway before. Quentin and Jason took great care of us! Quentin led the tour and Jason followed us (me) in the back. We first learned basic operating skills which felt quite natural after about 5 minutes for most of our group. Then we started out slowly through the city. Once we got to a river lookout Quentin disengaged our “training wheels” so we could go faster. The tour was great and we had many stops along the way. Quentin was knowledgeable and communicated his passion for his city very well. The tour scared me a bit because I am awkward on things with wheels, but even I managed the excursion without hitting any bikes, dogs, strollers, children, people on their phone, potholes, curbs, other Segways, cars, trams, busses, storefronts, walls, road barriers. Managed mud, leaves, cobblestones, and bridges! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot of the city in a short period of time. I will also say it was very cold on our tour day (December) and you pretty much stand still the whole time, so if you’re going in the winter bundle up because your body will be stationary and that will definitely make you feel colder! All in all 5 stars! For Strasbourg AND the tour!
Amy S — Google review
Most inconsiderate company tour group. We were at the toddler playground with my and other toddlers when this tour group with grown men in segways started doing donuts on the dirt road causing a dust cloud in front of the playground causing kids to cough.
Mon T — Google review
We had a great Segway tour with Ryan, our American guide. He was funny and informative, and took us all over the city, including to the European parliament and the counsel of Europe. He told us about the history of the various places we visited and was very good at navigating the busy Strasbourg streets on the Segway. This is a great way to familiarise yourself with the city - I would recommend you do it as one of the first things you do after arriving.
Pete P — Google review
The segways were fun as always, arrival and check in was smooth, and time was allowed to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable before starting the tour. Strasbourg is a fabulously beautiful and interesting city however our guide was, well, awful. The main issue for us was that he just seemed to have very little factual knowledge to share about the city which, for a city with such a long and interesting history was such a shame. He also seemed to lack awareness of when people were ready to move on from a stop, leading to some unnecessarily long stops without any discussion about what was around us; he spent more than 10 minutes at one point talking to a friend at a cheese shop while we all just waited...and not one word about the cheese, the shop, the street, nothing...just them chatting until we suggested it was time to move on. Much of the tour was conducted on or around roads or busy pedestrian areas - that was ok, but he was not particularly vigilant about ensuring the entire group had safely made each crossing and the group members themselves took to checking we were all there and ok. The 2 hour tour ended up going for 2 hours and 45 minutes - which would have been great if we felt we were getting good value but as it was, running over time just felt unnecessary. It really was poor. We've taken many tours elsewhere, including on segways and I've waited a number of days to ensure I wasn't overreacting. If you just want to ride a segway around a lovely city, this will work and is good fun. If you want history and information about the city then there are many better options.
Denise C — Google review
Toured around the city by a wonderful young man who was clearly a very proud local. Highly recommend this tour. One of the best Segway experiences we have had. Thanks for the bar recommendations mate.

Just completed our 2.5h tour and it was amazing. We saw a lot of Strasbourg in such a short time. Boris our guide was fantastic. He gave carefeul instruction to us at the beginning. It took longer than usual for my wife to get used to the segway but he was very patient. took great care of us throughout the tour.Since we were only 2 english speaking people it was like a private tour! Good way to explore the city and also learn a new skill! Thank your Boris once again!

The Musée de l'Œuvre-Notre-Dame is a captivating museum located at the foot of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg. Housed in a remarkable half-medieval, half-Renaissance building, it offers a journey through seven centuries of artistic development in the Upper Rhine region. The museum's collection includes upper-Rhenish art dating back to 1681, featuring sculptures, stained-glass windows, and architectural fragments from Strasbourg Cathedral.
This was one of three museums we visited during our weekend stay in Strasbourg. Such beautiful statues and pieces of art. It’s definitely a must visit museum if you decide to come to this city. It’s also in the same exhibit as two other really nice museums
Ms. K — Google review
Very impressive, not only the church! The museum showcases a remarkable collection of important and fascinating artifacts from around Strasbourg Cathedral, thoughtfully installed throughout the space. It’s larger than it seems from the outside, so plan to spend at least 1.5 hours exploring. Several stations also feature interactive instruments you can try out.

What a fantastic history this museum encompasses with artefacts spanning the centuries and the history of the Nôtre dame de Strasbourg and its history through the centuries. Well worth a visit to understand more about this historic site .

That’s a museum which is located next to the cathedral but not so well known. I think that its collection is one of the best in Strasbourg. It tells the story of rebuilding and restoration of the cathedral. It even contains some stained glass windows form the 11th century. It’s original. Unbelievable. In my opinion it’s even better if you have a city pass from the touristic office. It gives some discount.

St. Thomas Church, also known as the Protestant Cathedral, is a significant landmark in Strasbourg with a rich historical and cultural legacy. It became the main Protestant church in the region after Cathedrale Notre-Dame transitioned to Catholicism in 1681. The church's late-Gothic design and pink sandstone exterior make it emblematic of Alsatian Gothic architecture. It features tombs and an organ that was played by Mozart.
Église Saint-Thomas de Strasbourg was built between the 12th and 16th centuries, incorporating Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. Since Strasbourg Cathedral returned to Catholicism after the annexation of the city by France in 1681, Saint-Thomas has served as the main Lutheran church of the city. Inside, it houses a 1741 Silbermann organ and the mausoleum of Marshal Maurice de Saxe, created in 1777, both in the Baroque style.
Kent W — Google review
St. Thomas Church is located along Rue Martin Luther at Place Saint-Thomas and is the main Lutheran church in Strasbourg. I enjoyed seeing the late 12th to mid 16th-centuries architecture, giving St. Thomas both noticeable Romanesque and Gothic features. Within there is an organ which was played by Mozart as well as modestly decorated nave, side aisles lined with sarcophagi and tombs dating back to the 12th-century. It is an interesting historic church to view from the outside and to spend a few minutes browsing within.
Brad — Google review
Calm place to think about life. Very specific altar from stones. Wonderfull church! The entrance is free.
Magda — Google review
While this is not the most famous of the churches in town, it's history, architecture, sculpture, and magnificent organ deserves a visit. Pro tip: visiting this Lutheran church is free, and there are friendly and helpful staff that will offer you a paper guide, available in multiple languages, to make your visit meaningful.

St. Thomas Church, located at Place Saint-Thomas in Strasbourg, is a significant example of Alsatian Gothic architecture. Constructed between the late 12th and early 16th centuries on a site with religious roots dating back to the 6th century, it has been a Protestant place of worship since 1524. Notable features include the impressive mausoleum of Marshal de Saxe, an 18th-century baroque masterpiece, and the historic organ played by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The church is open to visitors Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (extended to 6 p.m. in spring and summer), and on Sundays from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (until 5:30 p.m. in spring and summer). It is closed in January and the first two weeks of February, and during services. Admission is free. Visitors appreciate its serene atmosphere and rich history, making it a worthwhile stop in Strasbourg.

A nice park for the kids to pet and see domestic animals like cows, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep etc. The park is not big but still enough to pass one two hours nicely. There is plenty of free parking just near the park and a couple of playgrounds.

Came for the goats, stayed for the giggles. Parc animalier Friedel is that rare free outing where four kids, two parents, and a herd of curious animals can coexist without chaos. The mix of creatures is just enough to keep young ones wide-eyed, and the shady paths make it easy on the grown-ups. When the kids finally tore themselves away, the playground next door sealed the deal. Five stars for being simple, charming, and exactly what a family afternoon should be.

Planetarium · University of Strasbourg is a fascinating place located near the Botanical Gardens. It offers an opportunity to explore astronomy and observe the night sky with its 3rd-largest telescope in France. Visitors can immerse themselves in interstellar adventures through three 30-minute films: "Beyond the Sun," "Living Worlds," and "Hazelnuts." After each film, there's a presentation of Strasbourg's night sky.

It would have been five star but disabled access let it down. This is a review for the new Planetarium which opened in July 2023. The people were lovely and spoke English so we knew exactly what the show would be about, there's a movie at the beginning and we got headsets for an English (American) translation. The second part is all in French, we knew that beforehand, as it's about stars and constellations you really don't need to know French to understand what they're saying. All in all a fantastic and informative show. However I use a wheelchair and was with my wife, any wheelchair user will not be able to access the building on their own as the doors are way to heavy. The same goes for the toilets, I couldn't open the main door so had to ask for help, then once inside the cubicle I could not lock the door as the locking mechanism was too small and stiff to use. So a good trip spoiled by bad planning

Strasbourg bike tours show you the city's highlights from different angles, starting with the charming old town and going on to explore the interesting neighbourhoods of Petite France and Neustadt. You'll see some of Strasbourg's most important landmarks, like the cathedral and palaces, as well as its picturesque streets.

(Translated by Google) A great tour in a "rickshaw" through the different districts of Strasbourg. Past the Parliament, the European Court of Justice, through huge parks and streets full of storks, past the last imperial eagle in France. It's not just a journey for the eyes, but thanks to the many explanations and stories from the guide, it's a great time that goes by far too quickly. Thank you for recommendations of cafés, restaurants and wine tastings and the incredibly embarrassing realization that the river Ill through Strasbourg is not a number. 🤭 The next time we visit we will book the Altstadt Runde 🥳. 5 stars and a big thank you (Original) Eine tolle Tour in einer "rikscha" durch die verschiedenen Viertel von Straßburg..

The Alsatian Museum is a captivating collection housed in interconnected 16th- and 17th-century mansions, offering a glimpse into the history of Alsace. With over 5,000 artifacts and artworks, the museum paints a vivid picture of daily life in the region during the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors can explore traditional clothing, homeware, tools, toys, furniture, religious artifacts across its 30 rooms.
A small exposition with interesting and simple descriptions in English German and French. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. There are a few souvenirs to buy at the shop store. the toilets are a mess but they have luggage deposit boxes. all in all a great visit
N K — Google review
An interesting museum that presents the way of life of the old inhabitants of the Alsace area. Hosted by a group of old, interconnected houses. Beautiful inner courtyard! You need approximately one hour to visit it.
Paul C — Google review
It is what I can call "a cozy museum." You would not like it if you are waiting for a huge museum with really old things and detailed information. It contains that, of course, but not to the extent of similar museums. Instead, and that is why I am giving it 5 stars, is the whole environment, it makes you feel like you are in a late medival house (till early moden) where you get to see how the people lived, and that is really cool
Ragui F — Google review
I visited this museum on the first Sunday of April—my second time here. Though it’s relatively small, the museum is thoughtfully curated, offering an engaging and informative look into the livelihood, beliefs, and culture of the Alsatian people from the 16th to 19th centuries.
EA — Google review
A wonderful experience! One can see how people in Elsass have lived throughout the years. One learns about history and visits one amazing house which has been turned to the museum.
Christina R — Google review
Such an interesting collection of exhibits in a beautifully restored building. The artifacts and scenes of daily life that have been reconstructed are well done and help to show what life was like in the area hundreds of years ago. The museum is right next to the river and only a few minutes walk from the other sites in old town. We arrived without tickets on a weekend and had no problem getting in immediately.

Specialty Museums
The Tomi Ungerer Museum-International Illustration Centre in Strasbourg is a unique museum dedicated to the works of French illustrator Tomi Ungerer. The museum houses an impressive collection of 800 drawings by Ungerer, showcasing his diverse artistic talents. Visitors can explore both kid-friendly and more provocative graphic works, offering a comprehensive look at the artist's career. Located on Avenue de la Marseillaise, this cultural hub provides an enriching experience for art enthusiasts and families alike.
Unlike "high art," illustration is often seen as utilitarian—something "lesser" in the world of visual arts. But the Tomi Ungerer Museum in Strasbourg shatters that notion with its playful brilliance. Here, you’re greeted by childlike wonder, deceptive simplicity, and undeniable genius. The works radiate a sense of calm, yet they’re alive with wit and spirit. Ungerer’s illustrations—whether cheeky, profound, or delightfully absurd—remind us that art doesn’t need pretension to be powerful. The museum itself feels like stepping into the mind of a creative rebel: curious, unafraid, and endlessly imaginative. A must-visit for anyone who believes art should spark joy, provoke thought, and embrace the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Spare yourselves from visiting this museum. It is a waste of time. The villa is wonderful from the outside but the shows and the inner spaces are just lame. If you're interested in Tomi Ungerer's work, you better read his books. Just the worst museum visit I've done in France.
Liliana A — Google review

I'm happy to learn about an artist I've never heard of before. The museum only displays the early works of Tomo Ungerer. Very little of his new works. Would have loved to see his carreer portraied more thoroughly.

It was nice to have an idea about the illustrated Toni Ungerer. I would expect more explanation and presentation. It was quite easy to visit. The museum was not too big. They said they change the collection of Toni. And there was also temporary exhibition.

Bridge
Pont du Faisan is a historic hydraulic bridge dating back to 1888, located in the La Petite France district of Strasbourg. It has undergone several transformations, from a simple Renaissance footbridge to a drawbridge and then a swing bridge. The bridge spans a narrow canal surrounded by charming buildings and sees over forty boats passing through daily.
Definitely worth seeing when in old Strasbourg! A footbridge that rotates to allow boats through! Very cool to watch in action!
Brian B — Google review
This is a small, 19th-century hydraulic swing bridge that links the Grande Ile to Square Louise-Weiss along Rue dus Moulins in the Petite France district in Strasbourg. This is a picturesque place to stop and take a few pictures while sightseeing in the area.
Brad — Google review
For me, it was fascinating to see how the bridge rotated to become a smooth passageway for the cruise boat to move through the canal. I didn’t know this beforehand, and I wondered why the guard wanted the passersby to cross the bridge hurriedly and stay at the 2 edges for a few minutes. 😂
Globetrotting A — Google review
On 18 July, 2024, my wife and I spent some time on the bridge to capture sights of Petite France and ourselves. We were so preoccupied until a man told us to leave the bridge for five minutes. Then we witnessed the bridge being turned to one side to let a touring boat continue its course. We enjoyed the experience a lot.

The Bains Municipaux de Strasbourg offers a variety of experiences, from the Roman baths to the swimming pool. Visitors can enjoy the Hammam at Les Cent Ciels or try the unique Taaka Beer Spa. The facility has both old and newly renovated sections, with stylish Nordic pools and saunas in the modern area, while the old section boasts Roman pools in marble and traditional saunas.
The City Baths were on my list when visiting Strasbourg — a historical monument AND hydrotherapy? Sign me up! The architecture is stunning with a combination of marble, ceramic, and painted glass. Built between 1904 and 1908, and restored from 2018-2021, the building is home to a fitness centre, massage cabins, two swimming pools, and public showers. They also hold aquatics programming, yoga, cross training, and culinary classes! I visited the 7000 sq.m. wellness area that includes an amazing outdoor heated bath, garden, salt cave, saunas, jacuzzi, and snow shower, as well as Roman baths ranging from hot, warm, and cold (21°C) along with steam room, saunas, and cold showers (ranging from 15-45°C). It cost €24 to visit for the day (plus €5 for towel rental); I spent 3 hours relaxing here…I could have absolutely spent the entire day, but had to make sure I saw the rest of Strasbourg, too! It was mostly seniors when I was visited on Thursday morning (I wanted to be there for the aufguss towel waving ceremony in the sauna). Highly recommend this experience for any visitors to Strasbourg looking to recharge.
Danielle B — Google review
This swimming pool is very luxurious compared to other pools. Everything is very clean and well maintained. I really love the Nordic pool and the snow shower. It is a great place to relax and enjoy.

Nice and big area. However, it’s so hard to navigate here if you don’t speak French. Some lockers didn’t work, and there is no staff who can help with them
Igor S — Google review
We are quite impressed with the building, facilities, and staff. There is something for everyone here. You can enjoy a spa service or a day of wellness with many saunas and pools-even a snow shower! They have group or private group cooking classes and a well equipped exercise room. And they will begin light food service soon. Both of my massages were amazing - Ella was fabulous! We also appreciate how clean everything is and are amazed with the building’s history and beauty.

I visited the Bains Municipaux in Strasbourg and really enjoyed it. Clean pools with different atmospheres, relaxing sauna, and beautiful classic architecture preserved throughout. A charming, well-maintained place worth visiting.
Nathalia N — Google review
What a wonderful experience, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. My husband and I scheduled massages here to help ease the tension after several days spent walking around Paris and it was the best decision we could’ve made. We loved that our treatments included use of the pools and sauna either before or after the massage. We did a couples massage and spent our time afterwards relaxing in the saunas and the multiple pools inside and out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful even though I speak very little French, I had absolutely no issues. We both said if we lived in the areas we’d definitely be regulars and would absolutely go back if we are so lucky to be in Strasbourg again. 100/10 if you are considering going I would absolutely recommend!
Jarie N — Google review
Really good bath and spa experience with lots to try. The building itself is really cool! Bring towels, swimwear / they said a two piece women's bikini is okay but if you're unsure, ask the front desk (looks like they spoke a little bit of English:) ) and body wash is provided by the showers. Lockers are also provided. Thank you for the lovely experience !
Joey L — Google review
Let me start with: I am American. We really don’t have places like this in the U.S. If you are visiting from the United States you should definitely check this place out. After a long day of walking around the city of Strasbourg including climbing the 300 stairs to the top of the cathedral, this place was exactly what I needed. If you didn’t bring your swimsuit they will be glad to sell you one and guys if you don’t bring the correct swimsuit they will be glad to sell you the correct one too. You are going to need a speedo, square cut, or jammer suit. No board shorts or loose-fitting style swimsuits are allowed. It’s really not a big deal at all. Once you get past that you are all set to enjoy everything they have to offer. You can pay to just swim but that’s pretty boring. If you pay for the “Bien Etre” (Wellness) you will get access to the Roman Bath’s upstairs that consists of two saunas, four rain showers with different water temperatures, steam room, and hot, medium, and cold plunges. Downstairs there is an additional wellness area with a sauna, a salt room, snow shower, jacuzzi, rain showers. The first floor also has two pools, and there is also another sauna and a heated outdoor swimming pool. You must wear your swimsuit at all times and you are required to shower before you enter a pool for the first time and also after exiting the sauna. They do have specific day/times for nudity so be sure to check the calendar. You likely will want to make sure that your visit doesn’t conflict with one of the times where nudity is allowed unless that is what you are specifically looking for. This is a place for everyone. We saw a lot of couples and people of all ages. Everyone was very respectful. It was pretty busy and some of the areas were louder than what you might expect but it didn’t bother us. We did not see anything weird or something that would make us feel uncomfortable. My favorite part was the outdoor pool. It is heated and open during the winter. You swim through a small doorway to get from the outside into the pool. I would definitely come here again. The price is very reasonable for what you get. My one complaint is that they don’t provide towels so be sure to bring your own. I’d be willing to pay more if towels were included or if they provided the option to rent them.

The Palais du Rhin, also known as the Palace of the Rhine, is a Prussian-style Neo-Renaissance palace located in Strasbourg. Built in 1889 by architect Herman Eggert, it was originally intended to be the Imperial Palace for German Emperor Wilhelm II. However, following his death in 1888, construction was completed under his successor.
Very nice palace in Place de la Republique. We had to traverse the park every day a couple of times when visiting Strasbourg. Every time we noticed many groups of teenagers spending the time together listening to music, drinking beer and being very loud. I assume this is one of the places they prefer to meet up. It did not bother us at all. It was interesting to watch :)

I went to Parc de la Citadelle and overall it was a nice place. There are many benches to sit and good playgrounds for children. But when I tried to go to the toilet, a rude man came and said: “When you see it’s closed, don’t touch the handle… everything is being recorded.” 😐 I just wanted to check if it was really closed… If that man didn’t talk to me like that, I would give 4 stars. But now I give only 3 stars.

Nice little park with natural playground! Comes with a little Christmas market during winter

This is one of the narrow islands situated in the Ill River at Petite France in Strasbourg. It is named after one of the three women who were part of the government in 1936, Suzanne Lacore (1875-1975). Environs are quaint, part of the annual Christmas Market takes place here as well, it is a neat spot with Petite France worth a quick walk around if spending time in this area of the city.

Coup de cœur 💓 Very popular square in Strasbourg centre where families come picnicking at weekend, where people working in offices are happy to have lunch, where tourists try all points for beautiful pictures, where lovers whisper words of love, where Strasbourg inhabitants play bowls in the shadows of tall trees. Fontaine de Janus, located at the western end of Place Broglie, is a modern creation unveiled in 1988. Designed by Tomi Ungerer, it features the two-faced Roman god Janus, symbolizing Strasbourg's dual Franco-German identity. The fountain serves as a representation of the city's retention of both French and German cultural features. Visitors can relax on benches surrounding this unique and thought-provoking fountain while contemplating its symbolic significance.
Fountain inaugurated by Senator-Mayor Marcel Rudloff on November 18, 1988, on the occasion of the bimillennium of the city. Design: Tomi Ungerer Sculptor: Denis Roth Architect: Paul Ziegler The Strasbourg 2000 Committee” The plaque seems to commemorate the inauguration of a fountain in Strasbourg, marking the 2000th anniversary of the city.
Yo L — Google review
This is a peculiar fountain monument situated just northeast of Place Broglie near the canal. It is the work of sculptor Denis Roth (1988) and was commissioned to celebrate the 2000th year anniversary of the city of Strasbourg. What you see is a fragment of a Roman Acueduct in recognition of the Roman origins for the city. You will also see in the fountain basin a bronze of the two-faced Roman God Janus, which can represent the unique Alsatian heritage made up of both Franco and Germanic duality of the city of more recent history and present day. It is a peculiar monument if nothing else, worth a moment or two to see if in the area and interested in monument viewing during your travels.
Brad — Google review
This is a neat place to walk to in the morning. It is located next to the canal and you can walk around the entire thing. The dual waterfalls are a soothing sound when the city is quiet. It is a peaceful place to sit and appreciate the area.
Jay C — Google review
Janus, the famous Roman god with his two faces, symbolizes the dual Franco-German identity of the city. One face looks towards the historic center and the other towards the Neustadt. The two faces of this ambivalent god symbolize the Alsatian double identity, and contemplate the past and the future. The statue was made in 1988.
Robin I — Google review
Fontaine de Janus is it really cool and unique fountain right on the corner of the street.
Razorrau1 — Google review
Small little modern fountain with benches around it. Despite it being a modern creation from 2000 it presents a antique sculpture built into a wonderfully preserved fountain. The fountain can be interpreted as a way of depicting the dual identity of Strasbourg as retaining both features from French and German culture through Janus being a two faced person.

No where does it say it's private property. We went all the way just to find that it's like a residential apartment with no access to the public. The only touristy thing yo see is the façade, visible even on the internet

It is boring. I don't even know why it is marked as point of interest on google maps. It is just a residential block which the facade painted in Egyptian style, nothing else, and nothing special. not worth it at all, just wasted time for tourists.

The venue hosts major concerts and sports events, attracting visitors from both France and Germany.
Great venue for concerts with many comforts. There were bars with food and drinks inside and the entry and check-up was fast and easy. Also plenty of parking and much space nearby for taxis to pick you up or drop you off.

Very big events hall with great acoustic. I went to see an orchestra concert and the sound is very well comparable to the one in a Philharmonic (of course be ouse zénith is so big it needed amplification). I'm looking forward to the next event!

Saw the Cirque du Soleil there. Relatively short lines to get in and for the concession stands and toilets. Good views from most seating areas but the chairs are super uncomfortable horrible plastic things that give you back achein 5 minutes! There is plenty of free parking a short walk away.
Caroline B — Google review
The place is impressive, and we'll organized, but the sound was not good, we couldn't hear it understand Marc knopfler, the performer we went to see. Also there weren't screens or projections, so you can't see anything unless you're in the first few rows. That's dumb. We were also seated behind the sound control which was full of light and distracting. They don't have wifi, what kind of places doesn't have wifi?, The wifi they had was only for management, not even the workers.. The people who work there were professional and nice. Probably the best part of the place. Oh, and the design from outside was pretty good. Overall, not that good an experience...

One of the most annoying places I've been to. Huge parking lots and a small pedestrian area squeezed between buildings. Utterly violent towards anyone who tries to come any other way but by car - bike parking only at remote places (try going to Boulanger and park your bike around). No safe way to get from the canal cycle path to the centre. Security struggles with basic traffic signs (insists on not pushing bikes through pedestrian zone - which nobody would want to was there a safe direct way to go by bike). Drivers are so concentrated on finding a parking spot that they completely ignore pedestrian crossings and people in their way. Wouldn't return even if paid to do so.

The Little Red Door Escape Game is a great place to go if you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping experience. There are three themed challenges available, and they're perfect for groups of up to 8 players. The bunker challenge is particularly stunning, and it's definitely one of the highlights of the center.
It was our first escape game ever, we chose the bunker theme and it was very fun and exciting! Very friendly and helpful staff, our gamemaster helped us through the game when we didn't know what to do, but in some cases we got only partial help, which was also very good cause we could then solve some problems in our own! We got out in time, we had 14 seconds left to exit the room 😄 would definitely go again!

Best escape game I've done. Big thanks to our guide "big R, little no" - Arnaud (so I'm told, I don't know what the French is going on with this language) who did an amazing job introducing the Bunker game and explained everything we needed to know. Thank you for the experience and all the fun!

The staff is friendly, and the cinema offers promotional offers and reasonable ticket prices.
I fell in love with Strasbourg in 2014, and spending time at Vox is always a uniquely special and quintessentially Strasbourg experience (Strasbourgeoise), whether it's for a movie, a Metropolitan Opera, or a show. I have a deep affection for this cinema

Visiting the classic , centrally located Cinema VOX is a relaxing pleasure after a long enjoyable day soaking up the tourist sites in Strasbourg ... The cost of only €8 for a senior fitted my budget perfectly and the latest release in OV of 'The Amateur' starring the Hollywood sensation Remi Malik alongside Lawrence Fishburne was one of the greatest , enthralling and touching movies I've seen in a long while ... The duty manager was especially kind and helpful to ensure that I had a good viewing experience ... VOX is a great cinema house only a few hundred metres from the famous Strasbourg Cathedral ... An intelligent go-to destination for the discerning film buff .

Great location and beautiful neon lighted façade, easily accessible by tram. Went to one of the small screening rooms, around 60 seats, projection and sound were right but screen size was too small, I had to look upwards to catch the whole image. Staff occasionally interrupted while coming in and out the room.

This cozy little cinema is great for watching recent films as well as an interesting selection of classic films. They also happen to have really good snacks and even starbucks drinks. The rooms are quite long but not wide. This way you get a centered view. The sofas are comfy and you'll feel like you're leaning back while watching the films. You might have some issues with the viewing angle if prefer being on the front row but I haven't experienced this.
Alexander Y — Google review
The Vox is my go-to place for movies in Strasbourg: pleasant staff and good popcorn, a large choice of movies, from blockbusters to arthouse movies (which you can watch dubbed or subbed), and finally an independant cinema which deserves support. Thank you for your promotional offers and decent tickets and subscription prices, which enable me to keep watching movies in theater.

Église réformée Saint-Paul is a neo-Gothic church located in the Neustadt district of Strasbourg, France. Built in the late 1800s, it features two slender spires and intricate stained-glass windows. Situated on the tip of Saint Helene Island, this Protestant church offers a picturesque view from the riverbanks. It is often mistaken for a cathedral due to its grandeur and architectural style.
I love this type of architecture. It's a very beautiful and peaceful place.

Natural history museum
The Strasbourg Zoological Museum, located in the city's University campus, houses a diverse collection of preserved specimens representing wildlife from around the world. Established in the 18th century with Jean Hermann's natural history collection, the museum offers visitors a journey through different climates and ecosystems, showcasing animals from the Arctic to the Andes. As you stroll through its galleries, you can immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of various regions and gain insights into their natural habitats.
The Strasbourg Zoological Museum is exactly what it claims to be: it's filled with stuffed (taxidermy) animals. So DON'T come here looking for a full natural historical collection, as you won't find it. Also, DON'T come here looking for an exhibit that holds up to modern museological standards: the presentation is outdated to say the least. However, DO come here for a collection of amazing and sometimes rare specimens, as well as for excellent reference collections. Also, DO come here to learn about the history of the study of zoology, or to experience the historical way of museological presentation - all perfectly displayed in antique cabinets. But mostly DO come here for a great time, by yourself or with your kids, who will be amazed by the many wonders the animal kingdom has to offer!

Place Gutenberg, located in the heart of Strasbourg, holds historical significance as it is named after Johannes Gutenberg, who invented movable type printing while in the city. The square features a statue of Gutenberg and the Renaissance-era Chamber of Commerce building. It also encompasses an ancient Roman road called Rue des Hallebardes. Adjacent to the square is Rue Merciere, lined with old buildings turned into souvenir shops and eateries.
Nice place to take a break, have a coffee at a corner cafe, eat delicious pretzels from the bakery on the square, and listen to the live music. There is also a Mary-go-around next to the Gutenberg statue. Lovely place.

This is an small open square just to the west of Strasbourg Cathedral. It is a nice place to gather before making way up Rue Mercière to the cathedral. The square is lined with eateries, bakery and dessert shop, regional wine retailer and few other shops. You'll find an interesting monument to Johannes Gutenberg and at the north end of the square there are stands setup for the annual Christmas Market. So you can enjoy a glass of hot wine and light bite to eat if passing through the square during the holiday season.

Vibrant beautiful square at the center of the city just steps from the cathedral with antique looking carousel and monument to printing press inventor Johannes Gutenberg. It was originally called Herb Market Square before being renamed to Gutenberg square in 1840 to commemorate inventor’s contributions (he has lived in the city about 10 years in 15th century).

This review comes in the most sincere and objective manner. I travel around the world and look for culinary experiences. I am also a cook myself. 1. Location of the restaurant is good, very close to the Christmas market, space is good, concept is good. 2. Service was very slow, my impresión is that they are under staffed, and also the waiter was rude but at the same time amicable wich I sense it's because he was under stress. 3. Waiting times for food was 2 hours, for raw meat. I suppose they started preparing the stone when I ordered. Anyways Lando wait time. 4. Food quality is terrible, meat cuts are cheap with tendons, also poorly cleaned out you could see the spec (white tough separation lining between muscles, wich make any meat horrible to eat). 5. I ordered beef, pork both horrible quality, 6. Butter was frozen when they passed it to the table not suitable to spread or use in cooking experience. 7. Ambient, place is dirty, bathroom, table, and windows full of grease as well as table tops. They need extractors for the smoke and meat cooking process's. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant.

This makes the activity suitable for all types of participants, whether it's a family outing or a more adventurous experience.
Really enjoyable tour and accessible to all ages. It makes you discover the city from a totally different point of view. Always astonishes me, even after 17 years in town!

(Translated by Google) Very warm welcome, great experience! The only downside is the obligation to go out and carry your kayaks and/or canoes to cross the dam 5 minutes after departure. This could be made easier, as it is currently a bit dangerous with irregular rocks on the descent. I'm putting this in this comment just to warn you! Otherwise, we really enjoyed the quiet and really pleasant ride. We'll definitely be back. Thank you very much! Merci beaucoup !

(Translated by Google) Very pleasant nautical hike, circuit of about 2h30 which allows to discover Strasbourg differently. Canoes are very high quality and all the equipment is provided (vests, paddles, waterproof containers to store belongings). Very welcoming and accompanying staff. Only thing to know: there is a landing to be expected on the route, which requires a little strength to take out the canoes, carry them and then put them back in the water. It is quite doable for adults.

Aubette 1928 is a unique and well-preserved avant-garde art and architectural experiment located in Strasbourg, France. Housed in an 18th-century neoclassical building on Place Kleber, this leisure complex was transformed by renowned artists Theo Van Doesburg, Hans Jean Arp, and Sophie Taeuber-Arp in 1928. The space features bold geometric forms and vibrant colors reminiscent of the Dutch De Stijl movement.

(Translated by Google) I booked an activity for a bachelor party, beer tasting with snacks to share and introduction to beerology. We were treated to a total group of 17 people, which was not specified, in a very small room without air conditioning or any draft. No snacks to share and only four beers in 2.5 hours... The first beer was served after 20 minutes, the second after an hour, the third after two hours!! We came to taste beer and we were treated to beers that weren't even local, just 4 different types in 25cl.. 40€ per person to hear, certainly, an enthusiast, repeat the same thing to us 5 times in a row between each beer and have us served a total of 1L of beer per person in 2h30, and on top of that without any snacks to keep us busy a little the taste buds between two... obviously, after a while, everyone gave up and we couldn't even hear the speaker anymore because no one was interested anymore. Improved.

The puzzle of the treasure hunt is very well constructed and allows a unique visit to Strasbourg (you will look at Strasbourg architecture differently after this game). The concept is truly innovative (tasting of 4 beers in 4 Strasbourg breweries). This game is to be played in a group or as a couple, in short the concept is original. It’s a nice surprise to discover beer culture and Alsatian heritage. Bravo to the Strasbourg beer escape. I highly recommend. (Original) Super sympa. The routes are regularly updated, allowing you to discover something new each time you visit. A large table is provided for birthday parties. There are a few board games and a pool table. There's a children's room. I highly recommend this gym.

(Translated by Google) I regularly visit this climbing gym during the school holidays with my grandchildren, and so far we've been very happy with it. The children particularly enjoyed the foam construction and motor skills blocks, which allowed them to play and exercise safely while the older children climbed. But during our last visit, these blocks were banned for safety reasons, which I can understand. However, with no alternative available, there's not much left to keep a 3.5-year-old occupied. There was only one block available, already being used by two other children. It's a real shame, as this space has been a very family-friendly place until now. I hope the management will quickly find a suitable solution for younger children, so that everyone can continue to fully enjoy the gym.
