Went to Two Rivers in Staines for a movie and had a really good time. The retail park is easy to get around, with plenty of shops and food spots if you fancy grabbing something before or after. Best part – parking is free! Makes it perfect for a chilled movie night or a catch-up with friends.
S S — Google review
It's a very busy shopping centre in the heart of Staines. There's a good variety of shops and cafes so you should be able to fine almost anything your looking for. The design brings an out of town shopping centre along side the main High Street so everything is fairly close. The main downside is the road network which seems to jam up alot so access (and exit) by car is a bit slow - plenty of parking space though.
Marc S — Google review
Two Rivers in Staines offers selection of stores, pubs and restaurants and a cinema for movie lovers. Parking available.

Wonderful amenity, lots of parking at a reasonable hourly rate. Good quality shops, resturants and Vue cinema. Convenient to park here and the walk to Stains food court or Stains high street.

Theme park
THORPE PARK Resort is a top UK destination offering over 30 thrilling rides, attractions, and live events for visitors of all ages. From the adrenaline-pumping rollercoasters like The Swarm and Saw - The Ride to family-friendly experiences such as Angry Birds Land, there's something for everyone. Additionally, guests can stay at the unique THORPE SHARK Hotel for an immersive sleepover experience.
The attraction was amazing. We went for fright night and the actors where so nice. Creature campus looked after my niece for me when I went on a ride with my boys because she wasnt feeling up to it and sung happy birthday to her which made her feel so happy to be there. I really recommend coming its a great day out with the family and definitely come for fright night. The food was amazing 100% recommend food. Staff was great. Actors amazing. Survival games scare maze breathe takingly amazing although sometimes you do get split up from the group. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy and the ride queues weren't really long. The actors remembered my niece all through the night and everytime we saw them they would say hello. Also Connie and rattlesnack and all the Frank's are so wonderful and nice. My niece's name is bethany.
Natalie M — Google review
After waiting in a queue for more than 2 1/2 hours, just to get into the park, to then only get on 4 rides in 7 hours was a really big disappointment, especially after paying £40 for a ticket 🎟. To fast track 1 ride per person was an extra £16 each but was still no solid guarantee to be that much quicker in the mile long queues for rides, so unfortunately, my first, and no doubt, last ever visit to Thorpe Park, was massively disappointing to say the least. Bring on the day, a paying customers satisfaction and experience are prioritised over how much money 💰 they can make, and gladly take from us, each day.
Tracey A — Google review
One of the best theme parks I've visited so far. Second best in the UK but is home to the best rollercoaster in the UK, Hyperia. It is absolutely amazing, the food is great and the views on and off of the coasters are amazing. My ranking list of the rollercoasters: 1. Hyperia 2. Swarm 3. Stealth 4. Nemesis Inferno 5. Colossus 6. Saw 7. The Walking Dead: The Ride 8. Flying fish. Honourable mentions: Tidal wave (Best water ride in the UK). Detonator. Zodiac. Samurai. Vortex. Rush. I'd definitely recommend the park to any thrill seekers and even if you aren't you should give the coasters and other rides a try.
DannyBoy — Google review
Visited on Sunday, 2 November 2025 and had a great day overall. The atmosphere and theming were brilliant. Hyperia was stunning, though both my friend and I (in our thirties) had neck pain after one ride and ended up taking paracetamol, so it might be worth reviewing comfort. One staff member at the curry outlet was unnecessarily rude when I asked her to repeat herself, which took the shine off things. The small Stranger Things shed looked amazing - I would love to see that expanded into a full attraction in the future!
James R — Google review
Amazing theme park in the middle of nature! So beautiful the location is. All the high thrill rides are brilliant!! Best to buy fast track tickets when crowded. Lot of rides and options for different age groups, thrill levels, lot of games, food options, etc. too. Must go!!
Bhuvna S — Google review
The experience at this park is always amazing and the only downside was the weather. The queues moved fast and are longest was 30 minutes. The mazes were always great and staff extremely helpful. We stayed overnight in the shark hotel with a great night sleep and great fun the next day also. Would highly recommend.
Jacob R — Google review
Thorpe Park is built for thrill seekers. Adult tickets bought in advance start at around thirty-three pounds, but if you pay on the day the price can jump to about sixty-six, so planning ahead makes a real difference. The park is always busy, especially on weekends and school holidays, and while the atmosphere is energetic and lively, the crowds also mean queues can stretch for a long time on the most popular rides!! The rides themselves are the main draw and they don’t disappoint. Hyperia, the new record-breaking coaster, is a breathtaking mix of speed and airtime, while Stealth launches you from zero to motorway speeds in under two seconds. The Swarm twists and dives with enough inversions to leave you grinning or disoriented, and Colossus still holds its charm with ten back-to-back loops, even if it’s a little rougher than newer designs. Water rides like Tidal Wave break things up nicely and are especially refreshing in summer, though almost every major attraction demands patience in the queues. Food inside the park is a mixed experience: there’s plenty of choice, from pizza and wraps to fish and chips, but prices are predictably high, with meals ranging from seven to twenty pounds and more premium sit-down options at the hotel restaurant going higher still. Quality varies but is usually decent, and bringing a few snacks or a refillable water bottle can save money. By the time you leave, tired and likely a little lighter in the wallet, the buzz of the rides and the sheer adrenaline rush usually make the day feel worth it — it’s an experience that delivers thrills in abundance, even if it comes at a price. Far too scary for me .
Martin R — Google review
Came for Fright Night 2025, themed characters, scary mazes good fun although a bit samey, evening entertainment at live stage was good however the location of the stage causes congestion as viewing area far too small. No doubt there are great roller coasters here, don’t expect to ride them all in one day during peak season due to 120+ minute queues and rides persistently breaking down - we experienced this on three different rides whilst queuing. Arrived at 09:45, it took one hour queue just to get from car park to the entrance gate due to airport style security scanners, empty pockets and bag search, seems overkill? Then 90 mins queuing for Hyperia (which broke down temporarily) - entering and one ride took us until midday. Overall, enjoyable and fun day but long queues and ride reliability is an issue. Suggest more covered seating (heated) would improve experience, wasn’t enough seating areas and food hall is far too small.

The Little Green Boat Company in Staines offers a delightful boating experience on the upper River Thames. Visitors can hire rowing boats, open motorboats, and 5 to 6 seater boats for small groups. The company provides friendly staff who offer plenty of advice and make the boating experience easy and enjoyable.
Inside a cute park, with a playground for children, and fitness equipment for adults. On the bank of the river, there is a very small cafe, equipped with a cappuccino machine. There is even soy milk for vegans. The coffee is very tasty, a real pleasant surprise. Picnic tables with benches all around. So there were still no pastries.

It was a fantastic experience. We took the motor boat at Marlow, I was impressed with the staff, friendly and caring at the same time. The trail is stunning too. I would not lie if I say this "highly recommended" All ages will get a thrill out of it, a hour not to be missed!
Chaim H — Google review
We had a great morning today. We rented a six seater boat for four of us for an hour. My 7 and 5 year old absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely be going back.
Nina C — Google review
I really wanted to like The Little Green Boat Company, but my experience was disappointing from start to finish. The boat we were given looked nothing like the photos online—paint peeling, uncomfortable seats, and the boat seemed like it was on its last legs. I thought the trip would be “relaxing and scenic,” but it was more stressful than anything else. The staff are very rude and disinterested, you can read loads of other reviews about this! For the price we paid, the service and quality were nowhere near acceptable. Honestly, I’d recommend booking with literally any other company if you want a smooth, enjoyable experience.
Mido — Google review
The team are friendly and knowledgeable, as the first time boating, we were a little nervous, but the boat steered well and was well paced and quiet to enjoy the river. They did inform us that many breakdowns occur due to the low river levels in drought causing the propellers to be bound with reeds (if you go too close to the bank). If you follow the instructions and respect the boat, you’ll have a great day. If the worst does happen, (we amazingly and embarrassingly managed to get lost) the team are patient and helpful!
Laura — Google review
We had a brilliant afternoon in Marlow, on one of the electric boats. Very friendly staff, very clear instructions, and the electric boats were lovely and quiet. 👏👏👏👏. Would highly recommend for a family or friends trip.
Jeremy C — Google review
Rude staff - who will check your bags as if you are going through an airport - while their food I would avoid Response to Owner: I have reviewed your website and could not find any Terms & Conditions that indicate a requirement for bag searches. We also observed that other groups were not subjected to the same checks. This gives a clear impression of discrimination, particularly as you mentioned that staff only conduct bag checks “sometimes.” This needs to seriously be addressed

Along the revitalized Thames-side, visitors can enjoy landscaped gardens and sculptures. The park itself features various amenities such as free tennis courts, a skate park, play areas for children, and an outdoor Splash Park for cooling off during warmer months.
Such a great little find just 15-20 mins from Heathrow T5. This playground is well looked after, and clearly locked out of hours. Toilets are clean and in good repair, there is a cafe open in summer or at weekends out of season. My almost 4yo could have whiled away hours here, unfortunately for her we only had 1!

A sizable green area that is dog-friendly and has multiple gated play areas that are separated according to age, including two with water elements that are triggered by ground "plates" and colorful soft fall ground. There are machines in a spacious training section that you would often only find in gyms, complete with adjustable weights and panels describing their functions. Beautiful recreation area on a picturesque section of the Thames in an excellent position. In addition to a skateboard park and a splash play area, there are multiple excellent kid-friendly playground sections. Strongly advised!

The undisputed King/Queen of the parks. Brilliant, large open space, nice parks, river & splash Park for kids. Tennis courts & outside gym plus newly installed crazy golf. Beautiful place, best trees in the area. Newly installed Coronation benches and wind breakers are just perfect to watch the river roll by on a cold day. So much thought been put into this place - from the coffee shop (reasonable prices SHOCK!) to kids snakes and ladders with oversized dice. Whoever is in charge, bravo to your team! New toilets have now been installed and are very clean. Boat rides for x6 people (motorised) 1 hour £48 + £80 refundable deposit

Brilliant park next to river. Enclosed area for little ones to play. When hot, the sprinkle area comes to play. Very big green area for you to picnic, put up a small gazebo, play family games etc. The toilets are clean even tho only 2 cubicles in ladies. But every time been they have been clean. Have a food hut. Very reasonable priced. The best is there long hot dogs for 4 pounds each. Overall a great free day to spend with the family. Can not recall parking prices but it was not expensive compared to other places

Nestled in Surrey, Brooklands Museum is a treasure trove for enthusiasts of motorsports and aviation alike. This historic venue showcases an impressive array of vintage race cars and aircraft, including the iconic Concorde. Visitors can delve into various exhibits that span themes such as Land Transport, Aviation, Science & Technology, and Social History. The museum's collection features remarkable vehicles like the Duesenberg and Napier-Railton alongside significant figures in engineering history like Malcolm Campbell and Barnes Wallis.
My 1st visit for husbands birthday. Great day out, lots to see with interactions for children in each museum. Friendly staff, free parking. American car day was in as well. Concorde experience is definitely worth doing. Separate ticket required but you can get on the day. Seeing the iconic plane and others are very good. Busy museum very interesting. You can actually board buses and planes.

A truly wonderful museum, the various historic racing cars from the circuit and the aircraft built there are fascinating. It was great to be able to board most of the aircraft and the volunteers were both very helpful and informative. A great cafe too. Excellent value.
Nick S — Google review
I recently visited Brooklands Museum for the first time, and I can honestly say it was a real eye-opener. I went expecting to see vintage cars and motor racing history, which is certainly abundant, but I hadn't realized the sheer depth of history tied to the site, especially its massive contribution to wartime activities. The most staggering revelation was discovering the parallel life of Brooklands during the wars, it was a critical hub for aircraft building, pilot training, and other essential production efforts. This blending of high-octane motorsport history with vital British engineering and defense makes the entire complex feel truly unique. Everywhere you look, the ground is steeped in history. It’s easy to walk past an exhibit, but at Brooklands, each item seems to have a bigger story with an even bigger person behind it. What makes it truly special is the working nature of the collection; it's amazing that most of the stuff still works, it starts and can be driven. Seeing the engineering that spans so long ago now is genuinely humbling. The ingenuity and sheer effort made by those engineers and workers are staggering, producing results that many of us struggle to understand even today. Furthermore, you can’t help but be astounded by the courage it must have taken to drive and fly some of these early creations. The museum beautifully illustrates how these massive efforts, from the earliest race drivers pushing speed limits to the pilots training on site, all lead us to where we are now in terms of technological development. With so much to see, the experience is incredibly rich. However, it's the absolutely wonderful staff that truly elevates the visit. They are happy to talk and explain things, sharing fascinating details about the exhibits, the people, and the history behind them. Their passion makes the stories come alive. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day out. I didn't get around to seeing everything, so a return visit is definitely in order to continue the journey, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. Brooklands is a must-visit for anyone interested in British transport, aviation, and engineering history.

Excellent museum, loads to see. Great displays of vintage racing cars and motorbikes. Several old airliners you can enter plus one of the few Concords. Inside the hangers are many vintage aircraft. Additionally there is a bus museum also included. Spent almost 4 hours inside.

I’m standing inside the museum right now, and the more I walk around, the more I realize: this place was built with genuine passion. Every exhibit, every plaque, every tiny detail feels like the people who created this space truly live the history of these machines. It’s not just dry numbers or technical facts. It’s emotion — the sense of the era, the technology, the ideas that once pushed progress forward. And you suddenly understand something important: sometimes, to create something new, you need to look back — to see the challenges, the solutions, and the dedication people put into the work before us. That’s what inspires. You’re not just looking at engineering — you’re feeling the people behind it.

What a brilliant museum. Exhibits are well looked after. While visiting the different sections which included bicycles racing cars and airplanes we meet some amazing informative volunteers.

Located near the Brooklands Museum, Mercedes-Benz World offers a range of driving experiences on its training tracks, including the AMG Driving Academy. Visitors can book opportunities to drive or ride in an AMG-powered sports car on the track or take a 4x4 vehicle on an off-road course. The site also features static exhibits showcasing Mercedes cars and their history. While entry is free, there are additional paid experiences available for those interested in delving deeper into the world of luxury cars.
Bought an off road driving experience for my son for his birthday. What an absolutely fantastic day we had from start to end. All the staff where very friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. The off road experience was brilliant even though I was only the passenger and my son was driving. The instructor was very good, friendly and explained everything so well. Couldn't fault it. Tried the bistro for lunch and the cheeseburger was amazing. Staff again very friendly and polite. Only disappointment was i paid for the off road experience to be recorded but for some reason it never did. But the guys in the drivers lounge arranged for us to have a 30 minute off road passenger experience with recording and a hot lap round the track and skid pan. It certainly didn't disappoint. Instructors that took us out were brilliant and informative. So very grateful for going above and beyond to make the experience a day to remember. Seeing all the cars from over the years was great. All in all, it's been such great day. Many thanks to everyone at Mercedes World. We will be coming back.

Mercedes-Benz World is absolutely awesome and incredibly well organized! The place is packed with stunning cars — both classics and the latest models — and what’s even better is that you can get inside some of them and really feel what it’s like to be behind the wheel. The driving experience is top-notch — thrilling from start to finish! The instructor was super knowledgeable and made everything easy to understand while keeping the excitement alive. The cars themselves are unbelievably powerful — pure adrenaline from the moment you start driving. Overall, it was an amazing experience filled with fun, speed, and great energy. Totally recommend it to anyone who loves cars or just wants to try something unforgettable!

We went there to claim my son's birthday gift — a driving experience voucher. I was impressed with the organisation and professionalism of the sales assistants and, of course, the instructors. It was a great experience, and my son was over the moon! The only issue is that now he wants to go regularly... 😄 The museum itself isn’t huge — vintage cars on the ground floor, sport and modern cars on the first floor, and a simulator zone on the second. There’s a spectators’ area outside on the ground floor, but you get a much better view of the whole track from the top floor. While the museum is free to visit, there are charges for using the simulators and, of course, for the driving experiences. The museum is accessible, with a lift and disabled toilets. There’s also a nice coffee shop.

My daughter had an amazing time at the Young Driver Experience. She had so much fun and actually learned how to drive. The instructor was incredibly friendly, calm, and patient, which made the whole experience even better. Also Great Classic cars. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Experience and Customer Care! We had an amazing group day out at Mercedes-Benz World. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. The driving experiences were thrilling and perfectly organized — professional instructors made sure everyone felt safe and confident. Even the exhibits and simulators kept us entertained for hours. The customer service team handled our group booking efficiently and with genuine enthusiasm. Everything about the day felt premium and well thought out. Definitely a 10/10 experience — can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely brilliant! The museum itself is quite cool but the driving experience was so much fun. Jake was fantastic, super patient, easy going and I learnt a lot. Loved drifting on the skid pan and the insane acceleration runs. Track was pretty scary at some points but so much fun. Perfect day out.
Mark H — Google review
I visited Mercedes-Benz World with my friends for a birthday outing. On arrival, we were greeted at the entrance and given directions, which made a nice first impression. We explored the building, watched an interesting short film about Mercedes’ history, and took plenty of photos — the place itself is really well-presented and full of impressive cars. We wanted to sit inside a few of the cars just to get a feel for them, so we asked the staff if that was possible. They directed us to another floor, but once we got there, we were told that the cars are only opened for potential customers. We were allowed to sit in any vehicles that were already unlocked, but those were mainly the more basic models. Eventually, we found an unlocked car and sat inside briefly, but soon after, a staff member told us that security was watching us and that if we damaged the vehicle, we’d be in trouble. That made us quite anxious — we hadn’t done anything wrong, just a group of 21-year-olds genuinely interested in the cars. Being told we were being watched by security felt uncomfortable and killed the vibe, so we decided to leave after that. Overall, it’s a great venue to see some amazing cars and learn about Mercedes’ history, but the experience would’ve been much better if visitors like us were made to feel a bit more welcome and trusted.

Penton Hook Island is a charming and serene destination, situated just beyond the lock. It offers a picturesque walk around the island with several scenic spots to pause and enjoy some refreshments. There are picnic tables, small beaches, and platforms over the water to enhance your experience. The only aspect that could be improved is trail maintenance in certain areas where the grass has become overgrown. This tranquil island also boasts bench space for picnics and a scenic route for leisurely walks.
Such a tranquil Island to be upon, there is bench space for picnics and a scenic route all round for walks. Marina opposite while the boats sail by.. ice cream and cookies available for a light snack:
Gemma B — Google review
We like to walk the stretch of the Thames between Littleton and Staines and Penton Hook Island makes an interesting detour on that walk. Access is over the lock to a garden area and then over a walkway along the top of a weir. We have walked there on the day the Mayflies hatch and it is fascinating watching the birds in a feeding frenzy. We have also seen some gorgeous jewel coloured Damselflies on the island. We have seen a Heron fishing in the pond on the island and seen Cormorants, Common Terns, Black Headed Gulls, Chiffchaffs, Warblers, Blue Tits, Robins, Green Parrots, Ducks, Coots, Moorhens and Swans on our walk around the island. We heard a cuckoo calling on our walk. There is a spot with a picnic table, the section near the lock is a nice manicured garden where you can watch the boats go through the lock and the rest of the island is a wild nature reserve with streams criss crossing it.

Beautiful location not very far from the town on Staines. Lovely walk around the entire island with some amazing views of the homes and nature. Parking is available and it’s a quick 10min walk.

Temporarily closed due to being a safety hazard. Unfortunately, the govt couldn't allocate the necessary financing so reopening is not in sight

Truly wonderful place - currently (for the last 9 months) closed to the public by the so-called "environment" agency who can't even manage a tree! Joke of a public sector organisation who should be hanging from trees

Charming island just behind the lock. 15 minutes to walk around the island and plenty spots to stop and have some snacks. Table for picnics, little beaches and platforms over the water. The only thing it could be improved is the trail maintenance, overgrown grass is several parts.

After meaning to visit for a while, I finally made my way to the Thames Side Brewery & Tap Room in its town center location. While shopping there, I purchased a few pints of their delightful beverages and thoroughly enjoyed them. The Brewery offers an excellent selection of beers as always, and they also host an open mic session, although it was a bit too loud for my liking. However, the individuals leading the session were very talented.
Really enjoyed my visit here. The atmosphere was really welcoming and the staff were really friendly, happy to chat and talk through their offering and the history of the brewery. The sofas were really comfy and the place gives off a really relaxed atmosphere. The old papers were a cool touch and really offer a window into the past. Food is available on site from a vendor.

Great venue to see live music. Sorry, I couldn't give a score for food or service as I didn't eat here. Dorian the manager and Andy the owner are smashing people. We played there as Hoaxwind (Hawkwind Tribute) Sunday Matinee show. It's a great live music venue.
Tony D — Google review
Visited August 2024 with our local CAMRA group. We found the staff and owner welcoming and there was a relaxed atmosphere. The latter will vary depending on the time/day/event. There are many music events scheduled and clearly advertised in the room. The food offering is varied and sensibly priced as is the beer. Real ale and cider fans will be in their element here with a choice of 6 real ales and 6 ciders available at the time of our visit. Quite an impressive place all round and I would recommend a visit!
Geoff W — Google review
Visited for the first time last night. Liked the venue, good atmosphere. They had live music which sounded great. Lots of tables & small space for dancing. Clean toilets, my own issue was getting served! Early in the evening the bar was fine but as it became busy the staff couldn't cope. After waiting approx 15 mins, I rightly let someone else go first as they were before me, the bar maid served him first but didn't come back to me for a further 10 mins! People were moaning about how people were getting served before others. I would return but found it very frustrating waiting for a drink
Clare — Google review
We went to support the money raising event for Matt. The venue is great for live music and has a wide variety of drinks including their own beers. More variety of non alcoholic beers would be great. They have a simple menu which is great. Unfortunately the hotdogs we had were very dry and plain but still value for money. Somewhere we would go again

Didn't eat so no idea on food. Came to staines for the theme park, wanted a nice beer for an evening. Not disappointed in the slightest. Luck of the draw meant a live band, great atmosphere to round it off. Great service at the bat, friendly staff.

Conveniently placed beside Staines travelodge. Extensive range of real ales available. Like that in front of each tap is a small jar showing an example of each lager accordingly. Nice welcoming staff. Dog & child friendly. Opted for the Swan, which was very tasty.

Park
Staines Park is a spacious public park with various amenities for visitors to enjoy. It features a children's play area, fitness trail, and open green spaces popular among families, dog walkers, and fitness enthusiasts. The park also offers recreational activities such as a rideable train circuit and an activity trail suitable for all ages. Additionally, there is a resource center available on-site. Visitors can engage in activities like running, playing sports, or simply strolling through the park's natural surroundings.
Large recreational space with a rideable train circuit that is available for £1 each but check the dates that it's available as its not a daily thing. It has a resource centre but that wasn't open when we went so not sure what's included. It has a park for children to play in and an activity trial to walk around that is for everyone for free. If you continue walking through to the other side it takes you to Knowle Green areas but we stayed around this area so the kids played football, had a walk around and played in the park. Only downside is there are no toilets that I could see, very few bins and only 1 picnic bench. However most of the benches were scattered around the park area. There are many dogs walking both on and off lead which is lovely to see but if you don't like them it may be an issue. Car parking is free from what I can tell but is small so very limited and we couldn't park here today.

Staines Park is a lovely green space right in the heart of Staines-upon-Thames. It’s well-maintained with beautiful flowerbeds, clean walking paths, and plenty of seating areas. Perfect for family outings, jogging, or just relaxing in nature. The playground is great for kids, and the park feels safe and welcoming. There are also spots for picnics and open areas for sports or dog walking. A perfect escape from the busy town life — highly recommend visiting.
Parth A — Google review
Always a pleasant stroll around this small park. Space though to exercise, run around, kick a ball around, playground for younger children, keep fit trail and outdoor gym equipment. Of course there is also a bowling green here.
Beverly B — Google review
Commercial road park is a lovely large public park. It has a small children's play area with the usual apparatus and there is a fitness trail with a few wooden work out areas. A massive green area frequented by dog walkers and families as well as keep fit instructors. A smaller green area, often used for football and cricket is located to one side and another green area used mainly by families for picnics links the park with the bowls club opposite. There is a miniature railway ran by a group of enthusiasts based on site which runs monthly. The only negative is the lack of toilet facilities or coffee shop on site, which I believe would make this park the best in the area.

The staff are very helpful and they are going to help me find out who stole my bike and hopefully get it back. My Bike was stolen outside from the bike locks. Some blond boy came and snatched the bike ripping it out of the lock. Luckily I heard that the same boys cause problems in their. I can’t wait to see the boys reaction when they get swatted down. I hope justice will be served.

Lovely little Casino, well it's not entirely a proper Casino as there are no tables. But plenty of fruit machines and the staff in there are always very friendly, polite and are there if you need them, and will always approach you and see if you need a drink while you're playing. They also do plenty of competitions too and make you feel very welcome. Other than the days where I lose a fair bit of cash, it's a very pleasant experience, whether you're an avid game player and have hundreds to chuck in machines or you're just going in with 10 or 20 quid to waste it's a great place to go.

Staines Moor is an intriguing and underexplored area of scientific fascination, offering a delightful stroll for canine companions. The terrain is level and extends a considerable distance, providing serene views and the chance to encounter unique fauna. Conveniently situated next to (///shovels.unions.tricks) with free weekend parking, visitors can easily access the moor by traversing a charming small park via a kissing gate.
It is a hidden gem for wild life watching. We always see something new every time we visit. There is such a variety of wild life to be found here. It is a completely natural space that has never been ploughed. Wellies are needed in winter as it gets very muddy and sometimes it floods and access is not always possible after very heavy rain. It is a good idea to stick to the paths as the mud is the sticky suck your wellies off your feet sort of mud that you sink into very quickly
Fiona K — Google review
A very nice place for evening walk. It’s an open space grassland for cows and horses with flowing stream in the middle. Spoke to a gent who is waiting to take photo/video of the owl flying low and catching prey from the ground. Interesting to know. I think I found his youtube video, do check it out! And make sure you have the Wellington boot on. The soil can be pretty wet and muddy.

One of the best hidden gems in Staines. What a lovely place for a walk, little run, dog walkers or just bring your kids to observe nature. Easy to spot birds, cows, horses, insects, ... Not easy to access if your not local but there is a public path behind Two Rivers shopping center. It's a 10 minute walk

Staines Moor - an ancient floodplain used since 3,000 BC in neolithic times. There are two old destroyed neolithic settlements nearby, and artifacts have been found. It's currently commonwealth grazeland on the same laws that were set 1000 years ago, so it's also got medieval history. This is what the fields looked like before all the development! Hedges, tussocks, hills, deep rivers, and long flat swathes of green fields and marshes.
Bill R — Google review
For it's location, so close to Heathrow airport, it has a huge abundance of wildlife and on our first visit, March 2023, we were not only lucky to spot at least 5 short eared owls, hunting over the Moor, but to have the entire Moor, due to flooding all to ourselves, was incredible... mix a visit in with Staines Reservoir, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed... They have got it all, and I am not joking... Grabbed some fabulous shots of Hobbies, snatching damsels flies and mayflies out of the air, closer than I've ever had them before, even a couple of Common Terns joined in on the feast... You only have to check out the Staines Moor FB page to see the cast array of wildlife that can be found there. An area we have visited several times and no doubt we will visited many morevtimes in the future.
Andrew L — Google review
A wonderful oasis between the airport and suburbia. There are a lot of cow droppings everywhere so if you're concerned about that kind of thing, step carefully.
Gary M — Google review
This place saved our well-being in these difficult times! I don’t know what I would’ve done without this retreat to go to, for walks, relaxing, observing nature, listening to the birds. For someone who lives in a small flat, the proximity to this place was very fortunate.
Iulian T — Google review
Staines Moor is an ancient floodplain grassland, at least 1000 years old, with rivers, pools, ponds, scrub and woodland. The unimproved neutral grassland found here is nowadays a very rare habitat in Britain and includes the oldest anthills of the Yellow Meadow Ant (Lasius flavus) in Britain. Staines Moor is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the high diversity of plants found here. An amazing 200 bird species have also been recorded. Skylarks breed here and Little Egrets can be seen fishing along the River Colne. Despite being beside the M25 and within the shadow of Heathrow, Staines Moor is a wonderful place to spend a few hours walking and observing wildlife, and offers a glimpse of what much of the surrounding landscape would have been like before industrialisation and urbanisation encroached on this area.
