Three Ranges Brewing Company is a craft brewery that prides itself on using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to create beers with bold flavors. Their diverse selection caters to every taste preference, from light and refreshing options to dark and hoppy brews. As part of the BC Ale Trail, this cozy establishment offers a rotating menu of seasonal drinks alongside their classic offerings.
In town for a work project, we stopped in to try a flight of Three Ranges Brewing CO’s beers. We were NOT disappointed! Such a diverse and flavourful collection of beers (and clever branding and names too). The patio was a great place to hang out and enjoy the small town vibe. Especially enjoyed “Resplendent Raspberry Sour” and “Swamp Donkey” brews. 👍

seems to be out of business, property is for sale Edit: actually I did check the website in advance and couldn't find anywhere on the website that the brewery would be closed. I'm not on social media. I couldn't post this comment on Google maps without giving a rating. Let me make it a 3 star then - that's more neutral. I'm sorry you went out of business. Are you planning on opening again at some point?
Shari F — Google review
Perfect dinner. A good selection of craft beers. My first visit and I asked for a Pils and was given a delicious lager to try and my friend ordered an amber ale and chose from 3 tastings. We sat outside with our dogs, ate good food from the food truck and relished the warm summer evening.
Daz W — Google review
I had a great time checking out the Three Ranges Brewing Company. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The beer was great too.
Wilson L — Google review
West coast brewery tour continues…..heading back east after spending the last ~2.5 years in North Vancouver. Long drive on a perfect blue bird day takes us thru Valemont BC and an oasis under the sun…..see you again 3 Ranges when we come back for sled season 😁
Alberta D — Google review
Great selection of beers. We were on a roadtrip and just stopped by, so we got some beers to go. Service was quick and efficient and it seemed like a cool place. Will definitely stop here again, when in the area.
Maria N — Google review
Excellent beers and customer service that goes above. Sit and have a great beer or mix and match beers to take home.
Vee M — Google review
So sad to hear about Three Ranges closing. I know an establishment like theirs is really important to a smaller community. We always enjoyed their beer and the pub when we’ve been through a couple times. We live in Edmonton and sadly can’t support them the way I would want to. I’ve even searched out their products here in Edmonton. I hope something good comes of it. Cheers! (With a Skippity Pap - my fave)

Museum
Specialty Museums
The Valemount & Area Museum, housed in the historic Valemount Railway Station, offers a fascinating journey through the region's history. Visitors can explore three levels of colorful displays and artifacts, including a restored CN caboose. The museum covers diverse topics such as local pioneers, railroad towns, Japanese internment camps during WWII, and the contributions of minorities and women to the area's heritage. Additionally, it hosts community events and summer festivals like Valemountain Days and Bike Fest.
Staff were very friendly. For a small town the exhibitions were cool! The kids loved the model railway. Definitely worth not passing by on the highway.
Kibade1 — Google review
Really fascinating things to explore in the museum. Alot of info on how the railway changed and helped in the towns development. Must see. Donation based entry.
Robert B — Google review
Wonderful museum telling the stories of people who built the rail and road infrastructure that opened up the area for settlement by incomers. Well curated, engaging and balanced. Popped in for a short visit and stayed for over an hour. Well worth stopping by.
Janey A — Google review
Loved my visit! Katie was super kind and welcoming and the museum itself was fascinating. The section on James Vanslyk was super cool and I loved the descriptions of the photographs of Art and The Dude. I got some great tips on where to stay between here and Banff - overall a great visit. Thanks again.

Bakery
Coffee shop
Valemount Bakery is a must-visit spot in Valemount, offering an array of freshly baked goods, delightful meals, and sweet treats. The bakery is renowned for its scrumptious sourdough breads that are highly recommended by visitors. Additionally, the establishment houses Vale Coffee, a small batch roastery and takeaway cafe where you can satisfy your coffee cravings.
We absolutely loved this bakery! The owner and his kids are kind, helpful and cheerful! Nice big tables on the porch and games inside, freshly baked bread and sweets everyday and great coffee. This bakery is for sure worth the detour or a stop! Xxx from Amsterdam
Reina H — Google review
A beautiful bakery with the best bread we had in Canada so far. If you go there taste the pastries...probably the closest to real french/ German ones. Super super nice owners and an awesome Lego collection.
Konstantin H — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about this place. The owner and his son are incredibly kind and welcoming — we were up riding and they shared their secrets with us. The food is absolutely immaculate, from the baked goods to the loaves of bread, everything is delicious. What’s even more incredible is the dedication of the owner, who continues to serve the community with a smile despite having broken his leg in three places! I was so impressed to see how they modified the bakery to make it work in this current situation! If you're passing through Valemount or lucky enough to live here, do yourself a favour and stop by to support local!
Maeve C — Google review
Would give more stars if I could. The food was DELICIOUS, the gentleman that helped us was a gracious host and a very nice man. I could've stood and talked with him for ages. We ended up spending more than we intended to, not because the food was expensive (it was very reasonably priced) but because we wanted to try everything!!!
Gary H — Google review
Delicious pastries, friendly folks and a wonderful selection of fresh breads. This place is only open 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and I assume sells out quickly. We arrived 15 minutes after opening and the car park was full and many people were enjoying coffee and the food. It's no longer owned by the original Swiss people so don't try your "Grüezi" here 😁
Daz W — Google review
Love this "new" bakery, an old favourite under new management. Hours are limited but def worth making time for a visit. Very friendly, superb service, and delish products
Dan W — Google review
Had a chance to chat with the baker (and I think he's the owner). He's very enthusiastic about his baked stuff... and yes they are very nice and delicious. Variety and different kinds of bread and pastries... delicious! The mocha was made fresh from scratch... also one of the best. Very nice building and atmosphere!
Rahim — Google review
Amazing bakery! We stopped by on our road trip and got a fresh, warm baguette which we used for making sandwiches for our picnic. We also got an apple streusel and blueberry squirrel, both of which were full of flavor and just the perfect amount of sweetness. The staff here is friendly and helpful, and we loved their Lego decor. We would stop by again the next time we're passing through!

Park
George Hicks Regional Park is a perfect spot for outdoor activities, located by Swift Creek. It's particularly popular from late July to mid-August when visitors can witness the chinook salmon spawning. The park features a short trail leading to a lookout platform designed for observing this natural phenomenon without disturbing the fish. Additionally, it offers easy walking trails, clean picnic areas, and informative signage about wild salmon life.
Great wetland nature sanctuary, trails are good and well marked. Mountain views that surround you are stunning.
Wayne L — Google review
Easy to get to good view point if you don't want to hike anywhere. They've built a nice viewing area to see the salmon without disturbing them. It's not my favorite place as I like hiking out more but good for older people and those who don't want to walk much.
Zachery P — Google review
As an explorer, here's my spin... Great place for a visit and rest area to check out the Salmon spawning grounds.
Eddie W — Google review
Well, Valemont is a nice little town. I saw my first salomon there. There is a bakery and some nice Restaurants and a very helpful Visitor Center. So make a stop there and relax ...
Andreas F — Google review
Stop by everyday. The park is clean and great place to have a picnic. The trails are an easy walk. And the creek is cool and pleasant to stand in on a hot day! Signage provides a good understanding of the life of a wild salmon.
LaVonne B — Google review
Nice little park, best time to come is when the salmon are spawning, during middle of August, and watch them on the board walk or bridge
Colby S — Google review
Worth the stop. A very quick instructive visit. Half hour. We wish we could have been there in August to see the salmons

Embark on the Cranberry Marsh Loop, a 6-km trail and boardwalk within the Starratt Wildlife Management Area. This scenic route offers opportunities for birdwatching and is easily accessible from town. If you're interested in biking, you can rent mountain bikes or ebikes from District Bike Co. or Bike & Bites, both of which also provide bike servicing. The trail is adjacent to Best Western and offers a relatively easy hike with varying terrain.
Was looking to stretch my legs after a long drive. This trail is immediately adjacent to the Best Western where we were staying. It's an easy trail, it does vary a bit from gravelly to very narrow footpath. I planned to do the full loop, but ran into very wet, muddy area that I was not appropriately dressed for. (It is a marsh, after all!) So simply turned back. I would advise going with a friend or at minimum take a bear bell - it's pretty isolated on one's own. Otherwise a really great traveller's trail.
Teresa C — Google review
I loved this trail! But man the mosquitoes were horrendous at one point.
Tascha — Google review
I loved doing this trail. Very easy with breathtaking views. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.
Selina Z — Google review
A great loop trail for mtn biking or running, I think it’s about 6kms. My daughter and I did it on our bikes. It’s on the south end of ash street. There are a couple of viewing towers with great views of the surrounding mtns and the marsh.
Danielgcram — Google review
Cranberry Marsh Loop is a great walking/running trail. Lookout towers throughout the marsh allow you to go up them and view the marsh or the mountains uninterrupted.
Rick C — Google review
Nice scenic trail located within town. Several parking areas and entrances a ailable, and two excellent viewing towers for sights. Boardwalks and bridges also in area for ease of movement, but there is a noticeable change in quality of trail throughout.
Kyle C — Google review
Nice walking trail, also great for jogging. Recently installed boardwalk is fantastic. Can be a bit smelly by the wastewater treatment plant at the start.
Zachary ( — Google review
Boardwalk along the north side of the marsh. Colors vivid, geese flocking, beautiful fall day

Restaurant
Nestled at the end of 5th Avenue, The Caribou Grill is a charming woodsy restaurant adorned with western decor. This rustic cabin-like eatery offers a delectable menu featuring authentic Canadian cuisine such as juicy steaks, prime rib, game, wild salmon, pasta, and seafood. The fully licensed wine list includes local VQA BC varieties to complement your meal. Guests can expect a warm and friendly atmosphere with attentive service and ample space for dining.
Had a great dinner in June the prime rib was delicious and the spinach/artichoke dip was hot and very tasty. The fresh bread was a unexpected delight. Try the local brew beer as well.Grab a seat and enjoy.
Construction K — Google review
Arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes after opening, the place was packed and we had to wait 10 minutes, Well worth the wait, all the meals were amazing, Soups, Salads and main dishes were all good. They have a small selection of local beers as well. We had a waitress from Ukraine and she was a darling, so helpful and she grave perfect service.
Allan C — Google review
They are serving pretty decent food. Was really surprised to see a restaurant this full given that it was in the middle of a small town on the way to Jasper. The restaurant interior have a rustic feel to it. The servers were polite, food is pretty pricey though.
Nick — Google review
I didn’t expect to have such a great meal in a small town like Valemount, but Caribou Grill really impressed me. Even in Edmonton or Calgary, this would be a very good restaurant. The food was delicious, the service friendly, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. A hidden gem👍
KK X — Google review
Recommended by our air bnb. Hubby ordered the steak, I had the salmon Ceasar salad, my son had the pasta and it was all very delicious 👌
Giselle D — Google review
The staff were really kind and helpful and food came out quickly. Maybe too quickly? Since my Caesar salad arrived without dressing. I order the salmon caesar. It is nice to see they are using wild caught salmon. Unfortunately, it was a small piece of dry fish with a side salad. The fish was lacking flavour. Once I asked for some dressing it really was a lovely Ceasar dressing. The portions are very small. I didn't get a lemon wedge although my friend did with her salad. So the kitchen seems inconsistent. The carbonara is not carbonara, but seems instead to be cream sauce from a jar. The seafood pasta had large chunks of celery which was strange. The ingredients and cuts of meat are subpar for the price. Got a $4 buddy burger from A&W afterwards and was more impressed, so maybe head there instead. The atmosphere and service staff are nice though.
Mo K — Google review
We have been thru valemount a couple of times in the past few years and each time we make a point to stop at the caribou grill Food is delicious. Atmosphere is warm and cozy and the service is welcoming This week we both had the chicken fettuccine with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Wow. Best I have eaten anywhere And the apple crisp. Oh boy Thanks again for another great meal
Marilyn C — Google review
Great food and lots to choose from. I had the pork tenderloin medallions while my husband had the chicken fettuccine. Both excellent. Ditto the cheese bread. Good sized portions but still did not have room for dessert. Alas. The place is a huge beautiful log cabin. Nicely appointed. As great on the eyes as the food is on the stomach. They don't take reservations but I don't think that will be an issue.

Restaurant
Nestled within the Best Western Plus Hotel in Valemount, Summit Grill is a delightful American restaurant and coffee shop that promises a satisfying dining experience. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, it features an exciting menu that caters to various tastes. Guests can enjoy family packs like the Summit Street Tacos or indulge in comforting dishes such as Seafood Mac & Cheese, perfect for sharing with loved ones. The inviting atmosphere includes flat-screen TVs for catching up on news or sports while you savor your meal.
Summit Grill is a place to definitely have a meal. All the staff were friendly and courteous. The food was absolutely delicious. The server, Marilyn, was efficient and so kind. She is one amazing staff member. We ordered the dinner for 2/3 people. It's plenty of food for 3 people - we had to get a togo container and it's right full. It's my birthday and we're passing through, but stopped for supper. So very grateful we stopped at Summit Grill. And, to top off an amazing experience, they offered 3 different homemade desserts, for me to choose from, for my birthday. Way too full to eat it there, so we also got it to go.
Roxane L — Google review
We went there for dinner, we were group of three persons. It is located inside Best Western. The food were delicious, and verity of burger. Depending of portions the prices are normal. Staff were so friendly. I like the burger. Salmon was delicious too. Also they served veggie burger, for vegetarian people.
Ahmed B — Google review
We are a family of 5 and came here for a birthday dinner during our hiking trip. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - we highly recommend the chocolate cake as well! The atmosphere is warm, classy and spacious. Our server, Marilyn, also provided great service. I had the lamb and it was absolutely delicious. The Summit provides a high-end meal in a small town - definitely a must-stop in Valemount!
Danielle G — Google review
Had a great dining experience @SummitGrill in Valemount Located inside the Best Western on the south side of this very small town Despite a busload of hungry tourists invading the restaurant, the staff did an admirable job getting drink and food orders in the Que. Note to patrons from out of town, anticipate a longer than your usual restaurant wait time during tourist season and keep you negative comments to yourself. As I noted, this is a very small small place that most people just pass through. Your wait(if you have one) will be worth it. The beers are local and cold, the salmon was nicely prepared and the bison burger was everything you could hope for....and the fries were excellent.
Haven E — Google review
Very nice restaurant! We were staying at the BW+ and decided to go there. We were told all the meals were smoked on site. They all had a nice smoke flavour. Portions were incredible! Front desk told us we needed reservations so we did, but less than 1/3 occupancy. All in all glad we went
Francis H — Google review
Ate here Friday night & it was phenomenal. There were 9 of us, including 4 over tired children and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, comfortable and treating the kids to extra snacks and coloring before the food came out. The lamb was to die for and we hope it gets added permanently to the menu! My steak had to be remade and the staff were so kind about it and remade everything even though I had eaten everything but the steak. The whole experience was great and we will definitely make sure we stop there every time we visit valemount!
Alice — Google review
Beautiful restaurant in a really good hotel. It is probably one of the few places where you will get great healthy food and help you rejuvenate after a long and stressful drive. Not may good eating places on the way on this route. Valemount is central and the right night stop on this highway. Instead of driving this route in the night, stop at Valemount best western and dine here. Marilyn was one of servers and she is extremely pleasant, personable and very welcoming. Great suggestions and it all worked out really well. Thank you Marilyn for your kind and professional service. We all really appreciate it. You made our stay and the dining experience so much better. Even the staff who welcomed us was really nice. Great wholesome experience overall.

Vale Coffee is a delightful small-batch roastery and takeaway café that has quickly become a must-visit spot in Valemount. Park
Nestled in the stunning landscapes of British Columbia, Valemount Bike Park is a true haven for mountain biking enthusiasts. With over 50 trails that cater to all skill levels, this park offers an exhilarating mix of terrain—from smooth, flowing singletrack to challenging rock gardens and thrilling freeride features like jumps and drops. While it has long been cherished by locals, this hidden gem is gradually gaining recognition among visitors eager for adventure.
Finally made it to Valemount. My new favorite bike park! The trails are so well made with amazing progressions, especially if you are looking for drop progressions. I spent three days at the park, built confidence on Womp Rat and by the end of the trip I was doing the features on Moby Dick which I thought were way beyond my skill set. It’s not too busy so easy to session features. We were there during Bike Fest and had an amazing time. Peak Shuttles was awesome! Lots of little side features on all the trails so there is something for every level! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic trails! Probably the best trail system I've ever ridden.

Hands-down one of THE best places to ride a mountain bike in British Columbia if not North America. The local trail association VARDA, has done an incredible job in turning Valemount into a #1 bike destination. Great camping, a brewery and good restaurants and hotels add much needed amenities. The bike park is constantly improving, maintenance is high on the list of priorities and the riding caters to everyone. Do yourself a favour and plan a trip to Valemount.
Thomas S — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal mountain biking area. The full variety of trails, from flowy to technical. Stellar views. Well-maintained runs. Lotsa love on this mountain. There's a pretty affordable shuttle if you're looking to save your energy for the downhill. Otherwise, the uptrack is good until halfway, at which point you hop onto a gravel road for the remainder of the climb.

Amazing trails, I can’t believe I have driven through valemont so many times and I never knew what I was missing. There are many different levels of trails for every skill level and different option to get. Signs indicated shuttling and there is a great uphill trail that goes almost all the way to the top and a road if that’s too hard. It’s located only a couple minutes from valemont. Lots of places to stay close by

The best pizza ever! Love their thin crust and the pizza sauce is awesome. We’ll def be back next time we’re through. They even stayed open longer so we could watch the Oilers game. Local beer is also served!
Tracey S — Google review
Food was great but we had to wait a pretty long time for it. Seems like a common complaint. Now, they just tell you at the door that the pizzas will take an hour before you even sit down, which is appreciated. I think they can add more items to the menu that don't require the pizza oven. This way, the guests can nibble on more than just a couple of salads and a dip.

During our one-week road trip through Vancouver, Jasper, and Banff, we came across the small but oh-so-charming village of Valemont. We were looking for a place to have dinner, and a highway sign pointed us toward some restaurants. We were craving a good pizza, and an AI recommended this pizzeria… and it did not disappoint! Located on 5th Avenue, such a lovely and inviting little street. I was charmed by this place. The service, the pizza, and the atmosphere were all excellent. There was only one booth available in this popular restaurant, as if it were waiting just for us. A wonderful evening of great food and even better company.

Perfect spot after a long day in the bike park. The sourdough thin crust is outstanding with that crisp edge and a chewy center, and toppings are dialed. Service is very fast, staff are friendly, and the vibe is upbeat. It’s a busy place. There’s some patio seating outside, which is great on a warm evening, and the beer selection is solid. I’m holding back a half star for ambience since the space can feel a bit tight and loud when full, but the food and service absolutely deliver.

Really good pizza restaurant. No long wait as mentioned in previous reviews. Friendly and helpful staff who although busy were efficient and attentive. If you're ever in Valemount, look this place up.

Pepperoni slices the size of your palm, delicious thin crust.. you can’t go wrong. The best pizza I’ve had in years. Me and my partner drive to valemount from Jasper specifically for pizza twice a month. Staff is incredibly friendly, the place is always bumpin busy. 10/10 will continue coming back until my legs don’t work anymore.
MacKenzie B — Google review
The pizzas were great and delicious however the service was not as good. We waited over 1hr for 2 pizzas , the waitress did not even told us it would take that long. They only put one pizza in the oven so for a big table don’t expect to get your pizzas together or even at 10min apart. I would come back for the Pizzas but not for the service.
Pearl S — Google review
We had the Hawaiin pizza. One of a kind pizza with a thin light crust and flavorful toppings cooked to perfection. I didnt feel weighted down or over full and enjoyed more than one slice. The service was exceptional w little wait time. Thank you, was amazing.

The Cranberry Lounge, located in the Best Western Plus in Valemount, offers a diverse menu featuring appetizers, entrees, and desserts along with an extensive selection of beverages. The lounge boasts a welcoming ambiance with tall ceilings, a roaring fire, and live music or sports on TV. Guests have praised the attentive and friendly staff who provide personalized service. While some past reviews mentioned occasional issues with food temperature and quality, recent experiences indicate significant improvements in this area.
I have been staying and eating here for the last few months. While the service has always been excellent, (special mention to Iryna) sometimes the food has been less than. Cold mashed potatoes or cold soup. However, the food lately has been very good and it seems they have made the necessary changes to improve the quality and temperature. Tonight I had the Filet Mignon special and it was the best meal I have had here. Great presentation and arrived piping hot. Of course the fireplace is always stoked and the drinks flowing. Great ambiance. Thank you!

Cranberry Lounge in the Best Western Plus in Valemount is great. The ambiance with the roaring fire, tall ceilings with music playing and sports on the TV is very inviting after a day of work. The staff here are wonderful and greet me personally every time I come in and that has been a lot the last 6 months. The menu is not huge but what they have on it is done very well. The special tonight topped it. Bacon wrapped Beef Tenderloin and shrimp with mashed and vegetables. If the service does not bring you back the Food will.

Robson Valley Cannabis Company is located in Valemount, a municipality nestled between the Rocky, Monashee, and Cariboo mountains. The store offers a great selection of cannabis and accessories at reasonable prices. Visitors have praised the friendly and knowledgeable staff, particularly mentioning D'Arcy as an enthusiastic manager who provides excellent service. Customers appreciate the positive energy and helpful assistance from the staff members, making it a dispensary worth revisiting for a pleasant experience.
Had a great time over there last night, I've learned a lot in 15 minutes, the guy over there was really nice and easy. For customer service i give it a easy 10/10. I bought a 1g joint at 21$ it was called the banana kush, I was expecting a lot from it and I got a descend experience but I wouln't do it again. A lot of weed shops in BC and Calgary and that one was a good one with a pleasant experience, thank you!
Anthony B — Google review
Not the easiest place to find, some larger signs would be nice. But the store was laid out nicely and clean and tidy. The customer service was top notch and had everything I was looking for and more. Definitely the spot to visit if you're in the area
Tyler M — Google review
I went for an RV tour to the Yellowstone campground and it’s crazy that in such small cities are still some weed stores here and there. The staff was super cool and help me out pretty well. And I was really impressed of the election of products for that place in the middle of no where. So it’s an 420/10 recommendation
Paul P — Google review
Last week I came into the store on Wednesday and had a very plesent experience with a lady with colored hair and a face tattoo. She helped me figure out what I needed and I left feeling helped and happy. Yesterday I decided to go again but this time a different lady was there. She had brown hair and was a lot Skinner then the other one. She didn't acknowledge me when I walked in, until I said something. She would roll her eyes at questions, shocked I just stopped asking. She proceeded to ring through my order at a very slow pace. I asked twice for no receipt but she sat there and made me wait to give me one. Over all pretty disappointed. I think the company should represent themselves better because having someone so miserable in a place where people are generally happy to go into is pretty sad.

After a long drive from the city i was so grateful to come across your dispensary and i was even happier to be greeted with such a positive energy. I dont remember her name but she was super pretty and tattooed. Thank you so much for the experience ❤

Nestled near Valemount, the Swift Creek Lookout is a beloved spot for both locals and visitors alike. This picturesque location features a picnic table, making it an ideal place to relax while soaking in stunning views of the valley below. The surrounding area offers a delightful 10 km loop trail that caters to hikers and bikers, providing ample opportunities to explore nature's beauty. Along the way, you'll encounter scenic landscapes and even a charming suspension bridge around the 6 km mark.
Don’t miss this spot if you’re in Valemount…lots of positive energy with a water stream for about 1km of this trail. We were late, so decided not to go uphill bit rather chill out by the river side. If you love to sit by this beautiful water stream - just by yourself or with friends…you’re most likely going to love 💕 this spot. Cheers & have a good one 🍻

2km casual 40 min up to the viewpoint. 7km more to finish the swift creek loop. Highly recommend finishing it. The final 2km seems like 3km.
Matt T — Google review
We aren't hikers by any stretch but we enjoyed this loop quite a bit. Took about 2 hours and had a bit of a hill towards the beginning that led to a nice lookout. After that it was a trek thru the woods (use bug spray) then across the bridge back to the FSR and back where ya came from.
Ross H — Google review
This is a great trail with a lot of great scenery. The suspension bridge at the 6km(ish) mark is very cool.
Kirt K — Google review
One of my favourite hikes. Part of a nice trail that loops around for 10 km if you do the whole thing, the lookout itself has a picnic table so you can sit and take a break there. Its continuous uphill to get there so its a great form of exercise. The thing that i like most is if you live or stay in town you don't have to drive to the beginning of the trail, you can walk from your door to the lookout and back if your not lazy, if you feel like a workout do the whole loop you'll get to cross a suspension bridge into a small ancient forest.
Zachery P — Google review
The Swift Creek Lookout is a great little place to view valemount and the rest of the valley with a "Birds eye view". I recommend hiking or biking the whole swift creek loop which is about 10km in length, the views are amazing through there.

Alpine Country Rentals is a top-notch rental equipment experience with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They provide thorough pre/post-use inspections for snowmobiles and Avalanche packs, ensuring all details are covered. The store offers Stihl products, repairs for small engines, ATV's, and snowmobiles, as well as a selection of clothes, gloves, and helmets. It's a go-to place in the community for parts for saws or sleds and reliable rentals.
Brought my kids out for their first mountain sledding adventure. On the first day we lost a bolt off my son’s sled because Dad forgot to tighten it during some repairs. Stopped at Lordco because it was the first place we came across. They had a great bolt selection in fact I think they had everything except for a metric cap screw to replace the one that my son’s sled was missing. They told us about these guys so we headed over. As soon as I entered the store and seen how well stocked they were I was immediately hopeful they would be able to help and they had exactly what we needed! When in the store we noticed a solid amount of quality sledding gear, chainsaws and a variety of other stuff! Thanks again and you will be our first stop every time we are in Valemount! 🍻🍻

Unreal place, we come to valemoutn for sledding yearly couple times a year and we break shit!! And they never let down. Always seem to have what you need and the time and patience and accomaditing to your needs. Very impressed with this place. Thanks for my throttle cable today!

What a rip off! I blew the belt on my 2012 CAN AM Renegade and gave Alpine country Rentals a call and they said they could fix it and that it would cost me a hour in labour and a new belt. As it is a quick job. Two days later they said the quad is ready for pick up. They charge me $250 and gave me back a box of parts saying the quad a ''peace of junk'' and can't be fixed. Brought the quad home and put a belt on it and worked right away. Makes you wonder if they know anything about machines at all or if they are just looking to rip people off.

A big shout out to the employees, especially the lady's at the front counter, forgot my gloves in avalanche back pack, they found them, found us and returned them to me, in nova scotia! Big thanks to them and the rest of the crew. Happy sledding!!!! Dave.

Best rental equipment experience I’ve had to date! Super kind staff and easy to work with. No detail was left out, between the Avalanche packs to the snowmobile pre/post-use inspections by Josh, all boxes checked all questions answered with confidence. Can’t wait to rent more sleds off you guys next season!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Brought in three balloons to them to fill with helium and came out with only two, but got charged for all of them. They popped one of my balloons, which I brought from out of town for an event, and they blamed it on the balloon, the weather, and everything under the sun, even though it popped because it was overfilled. Super disappointed and will not be trusting them for events again. Didn’t have time to argue so tried to call them to talk to them later. They hung up on me! So much for quality customer service.
Rayelle H — Google review
Brutal service. Rented a backpack the night before sledding, for 3 days. Didn't use it, came back the next morning and the girl told me no refund. She asked the boss, he said a refund is fine, but she took it in her hands to still charge me $15 for the paper work she did. It would have taken less time to give me a full refund, but instead took 20 minutes for her to charge me the $15. I'm sorry, but that is terrible service. There was not much paper work, and I did not use the bag at all. They should be serving their customers, not laying a guilt trip or making a scene. The paper work was nothing and completely irrelevent. This was not an Av pack either, just a regular backpack with a shovel. Give me a break.
Evan L — Google review
Rented a back pack for 3 days. Only used 2 days. Didn’t mentioned there was no refund for returning early. I will not be renting anything from them again. $45 wasted! Hope you get the crabs!

We did the 2 hour float, Great customer service, friendly knowledgeable staff, we were told stories of the mountains, people, and the rivers in the area… it was a great relaxing trip. We had a 2.5 year old to over 50 year old…. I’d definitely recommend.

This is a terrific experience with wonderful people. Tyler was our guide and Mady our lookout and Abby our photographer. The safety aspect is comprehensive and the gear is excellent for warmth and maneuverability. The scenery is beautiful and the whole rafting experience brilliant. Thanks!

I can’t express just how grateful I am we went with this company!!! Tyler and maddie were amazing, entertaining and knowledgeable guides… we had so much fun and my husband And I are hoping to be back before the end of this season if our schedules align again or for sure next season!!! Tatt or Natt (the photographer anyways I couldn’t figure out which name I was hearing) did an amazing job capturing our rafting adventure!!! When we couldn’t bring our phones I was concerned we wouldn’t get great pictures! But without our phones to take pictures I was able to enjoy the entire experience and we ended up with awesome pictures anyways!!! (And for all of them they were only $40 at the end!!!) Myself and another gentleman had medical issues and the guides ensured we were taken care of and checked on us throughout the experience… Definitely above and beyond!!! Will be back 100% Thanks again to the entire team, driver, photographer, our guides and anybody else I may have missed that helped make this possible for us!!! You guys are awesome!!!

Amazing and fun activity for a day trip! We did the white water rafting, but I’m sure the scenic tour is also beautiful. The white water rafting was fun and easily done even though we didn’t have experience. The guides are amazing and takes you safely through the rafts, so you feel safe even in the wilder parts of the tour. As a bonus the ride down the river is also so beautiful (when you have time to notice)

Staff were so friendly and excited to see all their clients get onto the rafts. Our guide, Ryan, was so knowledgeable of the local mountains and back history as well as the local wildlife we witnessed during our float. He provided so much education about the water we were on and how a river actually works. Our kids had an amazing time, as did we! Met wonderful people on our raft from all over the world. Beautiful weather and great waters! Definitely recommend!! 100 out of 10!!

Wow, what an amazing first rafting experience we've had! From beginning to end, we had a blast learning how to raft, working as a team to complete the course. The staff/crew were incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive — making sure we were safe, comfortable and having fun. We also couldn't ask for a better guide than Tyler. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and had a great sense of humor that kept the energy high throughout the trip. He made us feel confident on the water and made the whole experience that much more memorable. If you've been rafting before or are considering rafting for the first time, this is the place to do it. The park features well-maintained trails suitable for hikers of all levels, with short paths along the creek and longer routes through the mountains. While not open to horseback riding or motorcycles, the trail is pet-friendly and offers beautiful lookout points, including a suspension bridge.

Nice woodland hike. Shares part of the trail with a mountain biking circuit so careful for that. Trail is easily marked but also can be easy to go off course, just check for signs and the ribbons left on trees, or refer to your GPS. Lots of mushrooms and some large cedar trees, very lush. Trail head is easy to find too. Enjoy!
Alex H — Google review
Loved this hike ! Trail is marked well up until km6 , some of the signs have fallen down , but I took the gravity exit on the right and made it back down to where I had parked.
AllixAndria G — Google review
This 9km loop trail has some very nice views along Swift Creek, the Overlook and particularly the old growth cedar woods. The last 3-4km are boring, in places paralleling or becoming part of dusty dirt roads and terminating at a sewage treatment plant ( this was actually the second trail I've been on that ended at a sewage plant- the other was in Mexico). The signage is inconsistent and confusing. Some major intersections aren't marked at all. Some sections are marked only by yellow ribbons and a local joker has also attached ribbons to random trees. The trail is frequently crossed by mountain bike paths, to add to the confusion. If I had to do it again I'd turn around after the suspension bridge and cedar woods and backtrack, avoiding the final leg/loop. Believe me, you're not missing anything important.

We did this Easter weekend 2022 so there was still quite a bit of snow and ice on the trail and around 3km marker to the bridge there are quite a few trees down on the trail. We were able to do it with 2 kids under 9 walking, carrying the toddler but were all very tired by the road. Beautiful lookout, and the first k along the trail are the best parts, the suspension bridge was a wonderful view. Expect parts of this trail to be muddy, steep in places.
Opal C — Google review
Super nice easy neat trails for both beginners and professional hikers cuz there are so many different trails when you are really in the mountains, short paths along the Creek, longer paths too, as well as biking trails just follow the signs. A couple maintain the trails very well, they rake the trails usually in April when green grass comes out, which you can tell, because the paths are clear of pinecones, yellow leaves, rocks etc. Not for horseback riding or motorcycles. Pet friendly. Habitats of salmons. 1 km flat trail along the Creek, up the mountain about 1.5 kms to the picnic table(the peak/ lookout) where you see surrounding mountains, the Creek, trees, flowers etc. Picnics underneath the shades. Dogs run around. Birds chirp. Hmmmmmmm relaxing quiet and peaceful time yay cheers~~:)
