Beach
Playa Mirador is a serene and beautiful beach located near Sandy Beach Resorts, Playa Hermosa Beach, Playa Arenosa, and Las Conchas. It's known as the closest beach to Arizona. Visitors have been creating cherished memories with their families for over 15 years at this gem of a location. The staff is highly accommodating, making guests feel like royalty and ensuring safety and cleanliness are top-notch. The area around the beach is peaceful and close to town and Malecon.
It's very beautiful and serene, the area near the nice trailer park is all sand, totally recommend since it's close to town and Malecon. :))

Traveled during the off season. Not a lot of people. I like.
Larry H — Google review
Very clean and relaxing beach area that is not over crowded, but it is a bit rocky. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Steven J — Google review
My family and I have been staying at this nice little gem for the past 15 years or more. Beautiful childhood memories with my parents and siblings we have been created here and now that we have children, we are creating more beautiful memories with them as well. We love the location and the staff. The staff has always been accommodating to us and beyond. We feel like royalty when we stay here, because of them we refuse to go anywhere else. Safety, cleanliness, and their work ethics make this hotel a great stay in Rocky Point!

I’ve never been there. But looks beautiful. I love fishing villages. In Mexico. I can smell the crustaceans.

Free parking lot
Playa Bonita is a popular destination in Puerto Penasco, offering something for every type of traveler, whether solo or with family. It's known for being a great public beach option, especially if you're not staying at a resort. Visitors can enjoy various water activities like jet skiing and banana boat rides at slightly lower prices compared to those offered by resorts. There are several local parking lots near the beach, some allowing overnight RV parking while others cater to regular cars and trucks for daily rates.
Gorgeous sunsets! Very clean and not full of litter. Good selection of beach vendors during peak season. Very calm during off season.
S. J — Google review
Playa Bonita has soft sand, clear water (that is very shallow and not a lot of waves) and many options for fun drinks in nearby stands. It does get quite crowded by mid-day and you will be solicited often by people selling braids, jewelry, drinks etc. Most of the stands take a credit card for an additional fee (so you may want to bring cash - new pesos or USD). We got a virgin pina colada and it was delicious! You can also rent shade, a table and some chairs for around $30 USD.
Jasmine A — Google review
Great vibes!!! Plenty to do here!! There is people renting jet skis, you can parasail , get on a banana, hair braided etc. safe place and great for kids

Vendors offer a variety of items from mangoes to jewelry, while beach amenities like chairs can be rented for a reasonable price.
Perfect place to stay for me and my family.
Gonsalo Z — Google review
Good beach to visit, with lots of sand and water recreational vehicles to rent. It is however a bit crowded with very little parking, and you have to hike up a hill to leave.
Steven J — Google review
Great local beach! Get there early or else it’s hard to find close parking. Tons of vendors on the beach selling food, drinks, hair braids, massages, jewelry, you know the Mexico usual :)

Seafood restaurant
Nestled along the vibrant El Malecón, Restaurante de Mariscos El Malecón is a must-visit gem in Puerto Peñasco. This charming eatery, elevated on stilts, offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of California and the lively promenade below. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of Rocky Point. The menu boasts a delightful array of hearty Mexican and American dishes alongside fresh seafood that will tantalize your taste buds.
There was no music which was the best part of our trip because a lot of the places had too much loud music. We ordered margarita with the local tequila which I absolutely love, it was strong. We also ordered the beef tacos and banana smoothie Our waiter Manuel was attentive and a great waiter. We had a great time. Thank you Manuel and Rico
Leanda W — Google review
A tourist trap!!! Beware. For those folks that gave it 5 stars reviews, lucky you! Maybe this is a place for seafood more than it is for breakfast. Our breakfast was the worst! I should have thought twice when they have their servers out on the street below like ravens trying to make you go into their restaurant. More than the breakfast we were trying to eat by the ocean with (hopefully) a good meal. Was never the case. Once the order was placed the food didn't take very long at all. But on initial inspection I had a feeling the food would be subpar of what I expected. Two plates. One was an omelet with beans and potatoes. I can't even remember what was in the omelet but to me it was some kind of mystery meat. The cheese was not the type you pour on an omelet either. There are much better cheeses than that. The beans were dry and bland and the potatoes were dry and flavorless. I had the feeling they were yesterday’s potatoes. The only good thing was the flour tortilla. The other plate was a chorizo with a fried egg. The chorizo had an artificial flavor to it. Maybe that was what gave it that color? Don't know. Perhaps the chorizo was a different regional type? Maybe. But they could have done better. Same as the other plate. The beans were on the dry side as with the potatoes which were completely flavorless. The egg and the flour tortilla were about the only good things for this dish. In all I was expecting a better meal. "Americas diner" (I don't want to say the name but you can figure it out) on a bad day serves a better breakfast and their quality hasn't been the best as of late. Lesson learned, avoid eateries in that area. You want some great food then go where the local go to. Avoid the tourist traps!!!
Ana M — Google review
Disappointed with the food. Looks amazing but everything we ordered was pretty bland. The Shrimp tacos had no flavor! The ceviche was not good. The location had nice views but I feel that I overpaid for food I can find better elsewhere. Also we were seated in what was the hottest spot of the restaurant everywhere else was nice and fresh. Our drinks were served hot.The waiter gave us the wrong order of food and still charged us for it.
Karina S — Google review
As fresh as the sea can offer. I had the molcajete and had the best of everything was greeted by angel and was very fast and accurate. I highly recommend this place
Juan C — Google review
Service takes quite some time. Food is flavorless and sometimes might taste as if it was not on it's best condition (ex. Shrimp, meats). Honestly, restaurant next to it is definitely better quality.
Brenda L — Google review
Raul is great server. The plate we got was tasty but it seems a bit expensive though.
Kristal B — Google review
Definitely disappointed. The view was great but that was about it. My wife and I wanted to get fresh mariscos so decided to stop at El Malecon. The service was below par, the waiter only stop by 3 times, to get the order, deliver the food, and to give us the check. He even took a plate away that still had food, we definitely felt rushed. The worse part is that the place was not even full, there were a lot tables available. Do not recommend.
Gregorio H — Google review
Group of 4 had a pleasant waterfront lunch. Fresh guacamole with pico de gallo appetizer was delicious, as were the shrimp tacos gobernador. Cheeseburger with fries was a bit overcooked but ok. Coconut shrimp entree was tasty and the barbecue flavored wings with fries was excellent. Mai Tai's and Margaritas were also excellent, but beer selection was limited.

Old Port is a charming and bustling area that has retained its traditional fishing port atmosphere while also offering an array of modern amenities. Visitors can explore the popular seafood market to find the catch of the day for a delicious meal, or browse through an assortment of shops selling Mexican souvenirs, jewelry, pottery, and more. The area is also home to great restaurants with friendly service and live music at night. While there is ongoing construction in the area, it promises to be a fantastic destination once completed.
A lot of fun for an entire family with a lot of Mexican souvenirs to be found. Great restaurants with great food and friendly service. A day of fun for an entire family where you can find jewelry, pottery, glassware, shirts, keychains, swimsuits, yard decor and so much more.
Jennifer N — Google review
Vendors really kill the experience. Came here to buy souvenirs. Excellent place if you want to plan fun stuff. They have bars/restaurants/food. Planning your excursions (banana boat/booze cruise/etc). You know what you’re about the expect when you walk through here. $5 USD for parking/$100 pesos. You also have to pay for restrooms 50cents USD/$10 pesos, would recommend bringing your own wet wipes/baby wipes if they have additional charges for toilet paper/soap/hand towels.
Mary A — Google review
Not the best area, very very crowded and the sales people are very intimidating constantly hassling you to try and come into their shop or buy something. Most respect when you say no but we had 3 different people following us asking us to come back or bringing us their items to try and get us to buy them. We looked in 1 shop and did not like the prices. The lady got mad at us for not buying after we asked for the prices. Bought a lot of things in Mexico, that was the first time I experienced that. Parking is streets meters only so bring quarters not pesos. I believe it was $1 per hour. The views of the water are beautiful though!
Hannah Z — Google review
This is a pretty cool place where you can find vendors selling merchandise, food, drinks and activities to do. You can take pictures of statues and there's the ocean in the background. At night they had a live band playing lots of people out dancing very fun.
Stephanie H — Google review
What a mess. No appeal, especially at night. Steet cart tried to sell me 3 small tacos for 400 peso or 22 usd. Homeless all over, tourist shops are junk, streets aren't clean, most places not even open even on weekends-close at 9pm or earlier. Bunch of loud and random music.
Kevin M — Google review
BEWARE! Difficult traffic and parking is a trap! Meters are confusing, they flash red whether you pay or not, and they will boot you if you don’t pay. Then you’ll wait hours to get someone to remove the boot. $25 for the pleasure. We are staying away from Old Port from this point forward.
Mitch W — Google review

100% hands down the best margarita in Rocky Point. I've been to all of the bars down here and the Cadillac Margarita is without a doubt "Numero UNO!" You will not be disappointed.

I camp at playa Bonita but we decided to go over to manny’s the other day. Great drinks! We had margaritas and they were really good…I suspect they use fresh juice not some crap in a bottle that’s not real juice. Nice generous sized drink and you can actually taste the alcohol in it. Great prices too! Only 9 bucks for a real margarita. Highly recommend going over there and they have live music regularly! Xxoo love you guys! We will be back!

The staff at Manny's made our family feel like we were their favorite return customers. Everyone we met there was great, but we especially enjoyed our waiter, Fabian. Can't say enough about the atmosphere, I'm sure it's a great adult hang out spot at night, but it was very family friendly during the day. We went back again the next day. Thanks!

One of the best places to chill and eat/drink when in Rocky Point! Location is perfect as they are right on the beach with easy access to the warm waters - not the cold CA waters!! Drinks are always well poured, and the hospitality is always 1st class. The food is great, along with a nice variety as you would expect in Mexico. Restaurant
Restaurant Rocky Point is a must-visit for seafood lovers in the coastal town of Rocky Point. The local specialties include ceviche, Costa Brava Shrimp, and Pescado Zarandeado. Additionally, the restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine with over 40 years of experience. While it's known for its breakfast menu with typical American choices, the food is well-prepared and presented. The restaurant is spacious and clean, making it suitable for large families.
5-Stars for Chinese food in Rocky Pt. Good portions, price, taste, ingredients and ambiance.
DENVER G — Google review
Disclaimer: I can't comment on the restaurants' Chinese Food since we only purchased items from their Breakfast Menu. The Breakfast Menu has typical American choices. The food was nicely prepared and presented. Its taste was good, and the portions were on the larger side. The restaurant is very clean and can easily support large families looking to dine together. The wait staff was ok, unfortunately we had to call for them several times the restaurant was pretty empty. Next time we are in town we plan to try their Chinese food.
Abdul B — Google review
Nice large restaurant for a large group. It was clean, and there was plenty of seating. The food was good. There was a good amount of parking in front and on the side. They take card payments, and you can order to go.
Stephanie H — Google review
When you enter this restaurant it is very clean and nice but the service of the waitresses is very despotic. I ordered an order # 2, which cost 230 Mexican pesos per person (3 people ordered) a pitcher of iced tea. Bad but bad food, they don't give you what you ask for chapsui, and it was just cabbage with celery and Cantonese rice, and they didn't even have a shrimp. In the end, I paid 1000 Mexican pesos, which is 50 dollars. We are people who come from the United States to enjoy our town, and they want to abuse you with the prices.
Beatriz R — Google review
I'm sorry, the place was extremely clean which is good, but I just didn't like the food. The beef was really tough, the rice was yucky, cold, and the pork was cold, didn't bring my soup for the special, egg rolls were just dough in the middle. The chow main was bland It's just not good, wait till you get back to the US to have Asian food.
Nelmajean H — Google review
They lock the door at 7:10pm and not 8pm like it suggests on the door/online and they do take visa but the machine is not reliable so bring cash otherwise you will be washing dishes..
Kevin R — Google review
Best Chinese food we've had in a long time. My favorite is the chicken with pineapple and the soup.
Jackie M — Google review
I was told my order would be done in 25 minutes waited over an hour. Service was terrible I asked a server how much longer my order would take and said let me go check and never came back. I had to ask another person and they said it should be out shortly. They were more preoccupied in the ceviche order that came in for them, then taking care of their clients. I wish I would have waited to tip until after I got my order.

My daughters (ages 8 and 10l and I had a wonderful trail ride here!! Jesus was our guide - super nice guy, and made our experience very enjoyable. He speaks English and was a great conversationalist on our ride. :) For the hour ride, drove us out to some trails, rode down to the beach and up to a little lookout for a beautiful view of the water. He took our pics at these places and did a great job! The horses were perfect, and we'd definitely recommend a ride at El Establo ranch!

wonderful ride guide was super awesome and we were on the coast for most of the time was a great experience he was awesome and took some great photos definitely would recommend

The staff here are great, and the horses seem clean and well taken care of. Our guide drove us to the beach and led us on horseback down one way and back along the coast. The horses were very well behaved and easy to direct for a person like me, who only has a few trail rides worth of experience. Thanks for the great experience, Jesús!
Jessica D — Google review
Jesus was amazing! I LOVE that he asked us each of our experiences with horses and then picked a horse for each of us based on that and our own personalities. It was an amazing time. ♥️

This was an amazing experience! Jesus was the best tour guide ever. He was knowledgeable and showed us a lot of cool stuff along our ride. We’re definitely planning to visit again and requesting another tour with Jesus. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Not as close to the water as tge Sonoran resorts. The view is also at an angle, and it's too big of a resort with a potential to be way over crowded

Another Awesome visit to beautiful Rocky Point! We have stayed at Las Palomas multiple times and have never had a bad experience or a bad property. It’s always clean and well kept and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We will continue to come back to Las Palomas!

Rocky Point Fishing Services is a gem nestled in the heart of Rocky Point, a destination renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant water sports scene. This locale has evolved from its rich sailing and fishing heritage into a hub for aquatic adventures, boasting an impressive array of vessels including yachts, motorboats, jet skis, kayaks, and paddle boards available for rent.
Had a great full day trip. Fishing was good but not to active. Still caught some nice fish and one nice surprise a yellow fin tuna. The captain and first mate Jose were very good and knowledgeable. Had 8 guys and boat had plenty of room for fishing and relaxing. To top it off fresh ceviche was made by crew. Great way to to end the day and enjoy your fruits of labor.

Wonderful time this weekend. We caught a total of 26 triggerfish that we got to enjoy later in the evening. I highly recommend this fishing charter

We rented the Big Momma recently with a party of 8 people on a quest for grouper! Jesus and Jose were awesome and did everything they could to try and help us find big grouper! We went out for the full day and ended up catching 55 to 60 fish but were not able to successfully bring up a grouper (we did have something very large on the line for a second, though). All in all, it was a pleasant experience with a great crew. We we would definitely do this again. I highly recommend them for anyone interested in Rocky Point fishing.

Amazing trip! Caught fish the entire time, the crew was super helpful, and we had a ton of fun. Took our fish fillets to Manny’s for lunch and they cooked it all up for us. Highly recommend!🙌🏻

Paid my deposit, showed up to the docks, couldnt find the company. Called their phone number. The woman who answered wasnt at the business and didnt know anything about where to park. I told her i was there and trying to park. I had my girls with me. After driving around for 30 minutes in the chaos that is the loading ramp I left. No trip no refund. Good luck

Pepe was great to work with in chartering our fishing trip. We were privileged to go out with Captain Oscar and Sergio, and they were very courteous and professional and made sure all adults and kids had a great time. We caught some huge grouper fish and plenty of smaller fish. Pricing was fair, kids were thrilled, memories were made and we will most definitely be back in the future.
Jared T — Google review
It was a great time and thank you! We caught fish especially a HUGE 100 lb Grouper. The Captain Oscar and Mate Richie were the best and couldn’t ask for more. There experience really shows and provided our group of 13 people a fantastic experience and put our safety first. We will always remember this trip!

This area boasts an impressive 2300 meters of certified clean beaches, making it a prime destination for sun-seekers and nature lovers alike. The development features a beautiful Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course that offers not only challenging play but also breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez and surrounding lagoons teeming with wildlife.
Fantastic community on the Sea of Cortez in Northern Mexico. One hour South of the border. Single family homes, condos and more either on the ocean or on the lagoon. Jack Nicklaus signature 9 hole golf course. A living sanctuary!
Jeff L — Google review
If this development continues as it has started, it will be a first-class, high-end resort. I like that they are including nature conservation in their planning. Already, with inclusion of "lagoons" throughout, I saw more and better variety of wildlife than any other place in Puerto Peñasco. I toured the condos- small but well laid out w/ 2 master suites. The finished 9 holes of the Jack Nicklaus golf course was beautiful- and "deadly", LOL, with all the lagoons! Definitely an investment opportunity, and/or a relaxing get-away.

(Translated by Google) Clean beach, it's a shame that during Easter the people abuse and are not responsible for their garbage and there are no accessible cans to throw it away. The sand is clean with a little shells, but you can walk on it without a problem. There are no nearby bathrooms. There are street vendors selling henna tattoos, alcohol, tostilocos, and braids. Vendors accept dollars and Mexican pesos, it is preferable to use Mexican pesos because they take the dollar very high. Vendedores te aceptan dólares y pesos mexicanos, preferible usar pesos mexicanos porque el dolar te lo toman muy alto.
