We came here for high tea while visiting the area, based on the many positive reviews — unfortunately, we were very disappointed. There were six of us, and the bill came to over $300. The restaurant charges per person, even for an 8-year-old child who didn’t eat any sweets. While that policy is understandable (though a bit unreasonable), what really let us down was the food quality. The savory options were very limited — the only meat was a tiny piece of bacon inside a mini burger. The desserts tasted like they came from a supermarket in bulk, not freshly made at all. But the most unacceptable part was the fruit. It was clearly not fresh — visibly dull, with browning edges. When we asked about it, the server insisted that it was “very fresh,” “just bought,” and “just cut,” and even told us that all the other guests were enjoying the food and only we had complaints. Please see the photos — I’ve never seen such “fresh” fruit before. Taste can be subjective, and we don’t usually comment on service. But food quality — especially freshness — is non-negotiable. Unfortunately, this experience was not worth the price, and we would not return. Latest review： I do not accept the explanation about the watermelon not being fresh, because it was very clear that the fruit was not fresh. The pineapple and melon skins were already turning dark, and the strawberries were dry and discolored. These fruits had not even come into contact with any cream, and the photos clearly show their condition. I didn’t feel any sincerity from the owner in addressing our concerns. I was told that there were 80 guests that day and we were the only ones who complained. However, during the meal, I overheard guests at the next table quietly expressing similar dissatisfaction about the food — they just didn’t bring it up to the staff, perhaps because they were more polite. Maybe I’m a more particular or even “mean” guest, but after paying this price, I simply cannot accept being served food that is so clearly not fresh. While I understand that businesses want to defend their reputation, dismissing customer feedback instead of taking it constructively is not the best look. I sincerely hope you take this as a chance to improve, not deflect.

We were hoping for a quick snack ahead of our cruise, not appreciating the sitting times for high tea. The owner was lovely and so accommodating setting us up with a wee tea between sittings. The drinks were refreshing, and the variety, taste, and freshness of the food was top tier. We loved the decor and lots of options for takeaway and British products.

$100 for 2 people for a 3-level set. Quite enjoyable but too much to finish and therefore too expensive. I would come back for the nice ambiance and view but only have the 2-level set. I'd also request to change a few items. The brie tasted of nothing and the cranberry spread was way too sweet. The egg tarts didn't taste of much either. The scones were good but deserve much more clotted cream. The teas all were very good.

We were at the docks in Gravenhurst looking at the steamship's and we came across this cute little tea shop..We went in and were blown away by how cute this tea shop is. There were so many different tea cups and tea pots on shelves for. There were table and chairs set up with teacups and saucers on the table. Everything is in a baby blue colour theme. At the back is teas, jams and other stuff for sale.We bought 2 scones $7 and they were delicious. And a jar of ginger jam $10.50. The lady working there was very friendly. Along the hallway is more cups and saucers on shelves for sale and the hallway is has lighting along the top of the ceiling.This place has high tea which I would love to try one day.

Our group of 3 enjoyed our tea time. Great service. Delish tea options and many many nostalgic things to shop for. Recommended for a girls getaway destination. Not recommended for families. It’s very tight space with many things for kids to touch (or break)

The Blue Willow Tea Shop is located in the impressive Cockburn Square, where you are sure to find something of interest on this picturesque waterfront and creatively designed park area complete with gazebos, picnic areas, unique stores, washroom facilities, ample parking and amazing views. The Blue Willow Tea Shop is a diamond amongst the many gems to choose from. It is a wonderful treat amongst beautiful surroundings. Whether you are looking for a traditional English ‘cuppa’ & wonderful treats on a 3-tiered cake stand or just wanted to shop for a TRULY WIDE & WONDERFUL assortment of AMAZING jams, jellies and unique gifts etc direct from England, this is the place to take your favourite Aunt, Grandma, visitor or loved one. They will love you for it and remember it forever. I had my relatives over from Wales and the UK and they adored it. Unfortunately, I also had my ‘man’s best friend’ with us so were unable to indulge in all there was to offer but I did pick up a Mrs Darlington Blackberry & Apple Jam & a Wilkin & Sons Damson Conserve for delicious treats on our cross country road trip.

I absolutely love finding unique spots to get great gifts, home decor, & snacks. Having such a large variety of makers under one roof made it so easy to find a tonne of gifts so quickly. Lovely staff & extremely helpful. We will be back!

This is a comprehensive arts and crafts gift market, and there's also a Starbucks café. Inside, you'll find numerous handicrafts from local artisans and artists. Some of the pieces are reasonably priced. My friend bought several gifts, such as a jewelry box, which looks incredibly beautiful.

Quite a disappointing experience. Some of the storefronts are empty. The stores that are there are filled with generic items that are kind of cottagy but are mostly forgettable. There are better places to visit in Muskoka.

Great americano, cute store, Bart is a pleasant guy. Great way to start the morning or have a coffee date and look around.

I am a plus-sized woman and I DID buy a ballgown in Muskoka! Great selection, a variety of sizes for all body types. There was an end of season sale that I took advantage of too. Attentive staff who have a great sense of humor - needed when you’re buying a ball gown in the summer! Worth the drive. I’ll be back.

Muskoka Bay clothing is one of my favourite places to shop. Why? The staff is so incredibly helpful and fun. They have an inventory that never fails to impress me. The other day, my friend and I went to find items that would complement dresses we already owned. This was not at all a problem! We put on (Or in my case described ) our dresses and found accessories to match. Including a pair of shoes and matching handbag. If you've never been in the store, it's worth the drive to Gravenhurst!

This store sells nice high end clothing lines and the staff are kind. But beware. If you buy and have buyers remorse for any reason you cannot return unless for store credit or exchange on the day. And there is no mention of this when you purchase. If you are from away and have the misfortune of buying something that turns out to be unsuitable you will be stuck with the item or forced to purchase something just to use up the credit.i won’t be going back. I can buy the same products other places in Muskoka

I went into Muskoka Bay yesterday in hopes I could find a “Wow” dress for a very special party our kids are giving for our 60th wedding anniversary. I had nothing they all hadn’t seen so my hopes were very high! Well I tried on 3 special party dresses and the girls took pictures of each one. We then discussed and I kept coming back to one which I chose and we accessorized it and found the perfect “diamond” purse, even with a diamond ring for the clasp! Remember, 60 is diamonds‼️ When I went home my husband looked at all the pictures and finally said the first dress was a real WOW! THATS THE ONE I CHOSE‼️ I put it on for him and he said, “It’s spectacular!” My gratitude knows no bounds when I think of all the caring and helpful honesty the gals gave me! They are ALL treasures and you must go into Muskoka Bay and you will truly be QUEEN FOR THE DAY‼️

An amazing culinary experience and a sensory delight! One of the very best places to eat in the Muskoka region. The sandwiches and soups are healthy and taste great.

You can not go in for a short shopping visit. You need to spend a day. Eating , drinking, talking to friendly staff,walking around many times. Lots to see a d enjoy.

Great antique and other household finds. Nicely organised for a pleasing shopping experience. Plus "Relish" has great sandwiches and coffee in the front entrance of the store

Always enjoy stopping in to check out their nicknacks, finding gifts for someone, or finding the random antique piece that catches my eye, antique pottery bedpan now a mini cactus garden, kerosene latern with red glass globe, pictures of dead people my partner collects (I assume they are dead by now, cause they are old photos) and vintage X-mas ornaments.

Great food and an interesting atmosphere. Enjoyed the soup and coffee and a little shopping for Knick knacks in the store.

An eclectic and lovely mix of local arts, applicable for cottage or home. I loved seeing the variety and being reminded that there are still new ideas to be had. Prices are reasonable, though some items are more suited to large display walls.

This is a small artist run and managed gallery store. It has a great selection of pieces from a variety of local artists.

I love this place. Artists take turns manning the store. Lots of local artists on display with a variety of mediums. Paintings, stained glass, metal sculpture, fabric, soap stone, jewellery, pottery etc. Some gorgeous museum quality sculptures worth the visit.

Well worth a visit. All kinds of gift and decor items incl jewelry. Helpful staff but cashier was a little math-challenged so check your receipt. Parking nearby (also a very good bakery!,)

I reside full time in Gravenhurst and honestly try to avoid shopping here. Each time, including today, items ring in for more than advertised. And, each time it takes 10-15 minutes to correct. Today I bought some plants (1 gallon regular price of $10 and on sale for $6.99). I asked the young cashier if he wanted me to run out and grab the sale sign or if he wanted to. I told him where to go, he returned quickly saying it couldn't see it. Once I paid I went out, grabbed the sign and went back in. I asked if I should go to customer service and he just shrugged and ignored me. My previous visit was for a flyer promo for buying 5 Kraft products. The store is clean and the owner does a lot for the community. Yet, I avoid this place at all cost because I have yet to have a shopping experience there where everything comes up at the advertised price.

I live down the street and shop here all the time. A few of the cashiers are incredibly unfriendly, to the point where I will avoid their lines. This evening I went in with a friend to purchase a few snacks. After having my items thrown down the check out (she was clearly angry) she proceeded to walk out side after us yelling for leaving food at customer service. This is something we did not do, and she proceeded to scream at us from the door into the parking lot in front of customers. We are 40 year old woman who would have had no issues putting items back. This behaviour was obscene and uncalled for! This woman is also a supervisor and honestly should not be working in customer service. Needless to say I an incredibly embarrassed by her actions and will no longer be able to shop in this location.

Great store, friendly staff. It was 8:15p.m. on a Thursaday. Only 2 cashiers open and a bigger line up. Luckily both cashiers were fast and people with larger baskets of groceries were courteous to allow one line for people with just a few items. Should have called for another cashier.

Great selection of produce. Clean store can be expensive, but they have excellent sales prices if were you keep an eye out for them. Staff were friendly.

The Sobeys prices are more expensive than other grocery stores but the bakery items here are of the best quality. otherwise most beverages and cookies are more expensive.😂

A regular Sobeys, clean, friendly and lots of selection. All kinds of gluten free options available in the gluten free area as well as in other areas. The store is in the same parking lot as a Dollarama and an LCBO. Lots of parking, although pricing is on the higher end

A quick stop for groceries with the family at Palmeri's - Your Independent Grocery. We found what we were looking for. Staff were friendly and we were on our way. Produce quality was good. An option if visiting or traveling through the Gateway to the Muskoka Islands. Enjoy!

I am tired of arguing with teens over False Tickets, which is when the display of a product is on a shelf or freezer and has one price over it, but the price at the till is higher. Look at this picture and tell me what it says to you. The fine print on the bottom left of the price refers to pizzas stored somewhere else and not the butter. So sick of this practice and they never do anything about it. Just go to Sobeys. They charge more, but their staff don't put wrong, or false, prices at the products. Over the course of a week, consumers could possibly be defrauded of over thousands of dollars and that makes me angry in this "Trump--enomics" day and age. They didn't honour Scanning Code of Practice, which is why I have posted my complaint here, the BBB, the Federal and Provincial governments. Sick of it. The ladies in Customer Service were great, but the teen store "manager" wouldn't honour the ticketed price, which is a violation of the Scanning Code of Practice.

Do not recommend this place if you are stopping for some prepared food. Worker "April" in the to go department was extremely rude to customers, rude tone of voice, ignoring me until i had to ask for help. Not wearing a hair net, as well as wearing a big bulky sweater... is this sanitary for working with foods??? I also overheard her disrespecting her younger coworkers. just because you're 60 and didn't get any further in live than working at an grocery store doesn't mean you have to take it out on your co workers.... i would recommend this store but stay away from to pre packaged and prepared foods area....

Placed an order with a set day/time for delivery. It never arrived. Had to order in for dinner for feed guests instead. If I knew they wouldn’t fulfill, I would’ve gone in and shopped in person when I was nearby earlier in the day. And they won’t even pick up their phone to share a status update. Avoid for anything time sensitive. And don’t tip driver in advance either, you can’t change the tip. Tried a second time, order is 4 hours late and counting. I’ll be going to pick up myself shortly.

We have been shopping at that location for over 26 years as 4 seasons cottage owners and we always made sure to support local business but I can tell you that since new owners took over we are so disappointed in this new management. I do not recognize one friendly face from the past. They hired all new staff, TERRIBLE !!! Prices are over the roof. So we made a decision. Although Sobeys is not our favourite we shop there now. We will not support owners who substituted good and terrific staff , who have worked there for years and made us feel like family with their new hires.

Not sure what all the hype is about for this place. 🤷‍♀️ bathroom was disgusting and I couldn't even find something basic as in black garbage bags... found all other colour's. And staff wasn't even friendly when I asked where they were. People can have off days I get it but don't treat others badly because of it.

Met my friend in the carpool across the street to go up to dorset for the day. Great parking lot. Nice lines painted very straight. Had no issues parking my truck. There were trees surrounding the area which gave it a nice "vacation" type vibe. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to use this carpool again. Would recommend to anyone that needs to leave their vehicle somewhere for the day. 5/5

Once again, 3 staffers standing around chatting in a back aisle while there are 5 people in line with only one cashier open. All while LCBO say they offer a better service than convenience stores?

First time here today, bought some Cherry Pepper Spread & Piccalilli, but the reason we stopped was to see what Meals they had. Will definitely coming back on a week day.

We decided to stop in on are way home yesterday, love the store itself amazing stuff in there. But the service was not good at all ,not friendly what so every, I had ask for bag to put stuff in she didn't seem pleased Washroom were still closed which I thought was odd. But I would give it 1 more shot and hoping for more of a Welcoming experience ..

This store has a pretty good variety of indoor and outdoor furniture for relaxed living. They also have a large selection of casual wear and some of it is branded for Muskoka. It is well worth a stop. The outdoor appearance is aging but press on and go inside. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

Great store with lots of option for your home and or cottage. Lots of Canadian made product with reasonable prices. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of a cottage mixed with a flee market. Very unique in it's own way.

I visited the Gravenhurst Farmers' Market was on a Wednesday. lots of vendors . It's one of the best Farmers' Markets that I have visited in Ontario. Over looking the Gull Lake, the Rotary Park has lots of big trees , you will not feel hot while you are walking around.

Nice assortment of vendors. Although did notice that the odd vendor had actually increased their prices from seeing them at a previous market in a different town. However, nice walking area, shade available and real bathrooms!!!

Fantastic items, and good products. I managed to find 10 year old cheddar cheese. The taste is so smooth and delicious. We bought all our produce that was Canadian grown. Excellent friendly people.

Had a great experience purchasing from LivOutside. Peter was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Also the dogs are super cute and friendly! I was nervous when trying the new style of kayak as I hadn't used the sit on top style before. I wanted one as it is easier for me to get on and off. However I ended up taking a swim in the lake as I was so unstable. I called the company on their next business day and Peter gladly assisted with an exchange for a different sit inside kayak that I was comfortable and familiar with. He made sure we were all set with the proper roof mounts , cords, and safety accessories. Everything is great quality and we even got to take advantage of early season sales! I highly recommend this independently owned small business and we will be back if we ever need more outdoor gear.

My husband and I rented a canoe from LIV Outside in Muskoka, and it was honestly one of the most peaceful ways to start the day. Just being out on the still water, surrounded by calm — it felt so quiet and meditative. Such a simple but beautiful experience. The route is beginner-friendly, and while it’s not the most scenic, the calm water and overall vibe more than make up for it. The staff were kind and helpful, which made it even easier to enjoy. If you’re in Muskoka, I highly recommend doing this — just for the peace of it.

We had a great experience with LIV OUTSIDE. We rent 6 recreational kayaks for 4 hours. The rental is reasonable, and they have options to suit different needs. The store is in a perfect location. The staff was helpful and friendly. They helped us prepare and set up the kayaks right next to the Muskoka River. We headed west to Lake Muskoka. The scenery along the river was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place to outdoor lovers.

Came to this store looking for a fishing kayak. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful and ended up with the kayak I had in mind and was very happy with it. I had such a good experience here that I have now gone back for all my paddling needs and wants including PFD, paddles and a 2nd kayak for my wife. Thanks to LIV Outside!

Just bought the Crescent Shoalie from here. I did a lot of research online until I decided on this one… I’ve been out with it twice and it is everything I wanted. Super maneuverable which is great for creeks. This is what I wanted to get me into places where boats can’t go, the path less traveled is where the trophy fish are! Well worth the drive from Toronto!

We rented a canoe for 3 persons to have a wonderful 2 hours trip along the river. I highly recommend it - you will see a beautiful views, could do a stop on a shore for swimming (water in August was really warm) and picnic. If you take a look into the water on shallow sandbanks - you could see a gold sand! The only drawback - is a washroom, that was always occupied and didn't worked well.

The skinny young chick on the cashier should be working in the yard not the cashier. Either shes very snobby or inexperienced. I asked for help and she ignores so I end up calling the hardworking boys in the yard to help me with my purchased kayak. I still love Swift stores and boats! August 1, 2024. 11:50am.

We enjoyed great service today at the Gravenhurst show house. Swift has a wide variety of innovative watercraft, beautifully finished with many colours and textures. The attention to detail and quality of their products is very high. We put together the laminate and finish for a Prospector 16 and will have delivery in 4 to 6 weeks. Together with a fantastic lunch at the Sawdust City Brewery, I call this a great day!

I'v got my first Mako 10 pedal kayak here on sale. I enjoy it very much, the fish in the lake wonder, what is that big yellow thing floating in the water. Service was good so far.

My wife and I were there in the winter to look for a kayak. Despite being winter, there was a great selection of kayaks and canoes both inside and outside. We were greeted quickly when we entered and offered help right away. Mike helped us to find the right PFD. They carry a variety of brands of kayaks. They had a different styles as well. I was extremely pleased with the quality of service we received. I will definitely head back there again.

The team at swift is amazing. They are there to help you pick the right gear, whether is be a paddle, PFD or a Carbon Fusion Pack Boat. They spend the time with you to make sure you get what you need. And it doesn't stop there. The post purchase support is just as amazing, weather you speak to someone at the store, the factory or Bill Swift himself, your question will always get answered. I have purchase a variety boats over the years, both Swift made and non-swift, but I have always purchased them from Swift.

So far I have only dealt with the company via the phone, but they have been exemplary in every way. Everyone I have spoken with there has been very helpful and you can tell they are all really fired up and enthusiastic about their products. I have been trying to decide on a canoe for years and Bill Swift’s videos of their canoes helped me narrow it down to a Swift Keewaydin 16 Combi. Brandon was incredibly helpful, informative (and patient, I asked a ton of questions); he walked me through all the choices of materials and options to make sure the canoe would suit my needs. I probably went a bit overboard on the materials and options, but there were a few things I was really looking for in a combi canoe that Swift was willing to do (some were already available and one they were working on). The canoe is phenomenal, it looks incredible and the feature set is probably unmatched. They were also a huge help in outfitting it with all the necessary accessories. If you are looking for a canoe or kayak, don’t hesitate in contacting Swift Canoe & Kayak!

Any Muskoka Bear Wear store is amazing. We live in their hoodies come winter time. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Gravenhurst is our favourite location however. Thank you for another outstanding shopping experience.

Excellent quality. Xmas gifts of the ladies Muskoka Bear Wear Comfy Pants. WOW this were a hit! So I bought 3 more for family members. They can't stop raving about them and wearing them. Finally just purchase three ladies Quarter Zip tops as birthday gifts. I am sure they will be a hit also. No issues at all with ordering online or shipping. Very smooth process. Ordered a sweater, nice quality stuff I have ordered before but paid 10 dollars for shipping. I needed to return and exchange the sweater, paid 30 dollars to return the sweater. I ordered the new sweater and paid 10 dollars for shipping. I do not recommend ordering these products online, customer service told me thats what it costs......thats what we pay.....even though for 1 its not and 2 you charge customers for the shipping. An 80 dollars sweater ended up costing me 130 dollars it was 100 percent NOT WORTH $130 ,BUYER BEWARE

Really good first impression. Visiting family so I’m not a regular of the cottage lifestyle. Went in looking for a souvenir but left with an amazing sweatshirt for my daughter. Excellent quality and surprisingly good prices. Got a great hoodie on the sale rack for $30. The staff was friendly too! Some sort of t-shirt selection for mens and I would have snagged something too.

THE best crystal store in all of Simcoe/Muskoka! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and kind! If you need anything, they are more than happy to help you. Everything is labeled so nicely, and the layout is the perfect amount of space to product. The environment of the store is so calming and peaceful. I will always come back here! <3

I pass this business everyday on my way to work and had no idea what they were all about. I was looking for a "Secret Santa" gift for a co-worker and popped in to check them out. I was greeted immediately by the friendly gentleman who was working there. He helped me choose a gift (which went over well with the recipient) and gift wrapped it nicely. If you're into crystals, rocks and that sort of stuff, you'll love this place.

Got some small crystals for my nephew, who loves them. Staff very friendly and helpful! They carried some dreamcatchers which I'm not sure if they were native made or not. I would like to check before shopping there again. Otherwise a great shop!

They were so so helpful. I fainted in the store and she got me a chair, water and gave me a crystal to help! They were so sweet and their costumer service was unbeatable + great products! Definitely recommend :))

Very friendly and polite staff, also very competent. I just went in to get a watch band sized to fit my wrist and it was done in minutes with no sign it was ever any different. Price was incredibly reasonable too for the service. I will be back for all my resizing needs in the future!

Such a beautiful atmosphere with lovely workers. Bea is so knowledgeable about gemstones with an excellent attention to detail and her son Ollie is just as kind and personable. They have a beautiful range of items from simple gold jewelry to watches to exquisite rings with both delicate and bold designs that men can wear as well.

Had a bracelet repaired a few times here. They are super friendly, affordable (at least for small repairs from my experience), and relatively quick to get them back to you! Would definitely recommend based on the quality of service.

My daughter broke her Rainbow Loom hook. Looked all over Montreal and could only buy a complete kit and not the hook separately. Found Applause Toy Store who sold the hooks as a separate stand alone item. They promised a delivery but then had to extend it due to a Supplier issue. They promised a bag of loom bands to make up for my disappointed daughter. We received the hooks but no loom bands. I did not think anything of it and decided to let it slide. After all my daughter was now happy creating more loom designs. To my surprise in the mail today, they sent a package of loom bands. They came through on their promise and with not prompting from my part. GREAT customer service. Great store. Highly recommend these people.

Such an amazing and cute shop, went in for the first time yesterday and was instantly greeted with smiles. Bought 2 rings and lost one accidentally this morning, and was given a discount even which wasn’t needed at all but also so incredibly grateful for it! 10/10 experience

It's the perfect jewelry store for lovers of sterling silver jewelry. I've been a repeat customer; buying four necklaces, one ring, two ear cuffs, and two toe rings. This jewelry, is some of my favourite jewelry that I own. I have no complaints when it comes to the quality or the price of the jewelry. I will definitely be coming back to Hawk's Nest Jewelry Studio in the near future.

Blatantly ripped off another local business' intellectual property for a profit, and when confronted about it, were rude and blocked me. I will never support a business that behaves like that and employs such shady tactics. Maison Muskoka did a great job of making a custom sign for our home. I provided a crude sketch, and Nancy quickly replied with a great initial design. The price was great, and the sign shipped pretty quickly, too. Overall, a great experience.

Awesome store. Great collection of everything music related and more. If you’re in Gravenhurst this store is a must visit for everyone. Owner also hooked us up with a Spice girls VHS tape which made my kid very happy.

Awesome selection of vintage instruments. Got a baritone guitar, violin and kalimba there this weekend and all are sounding great. One of the only stores in Ontario I’ve seen with a selection this unique.
