1My Son Sanctuary

My Son Sanctuary is a must-visit historical site in Vietnam, known for its rich history and cultural significance. The sanctuary, featured in a popular movie, offers a captivating experience for history enthusiasts. Visitors are advised to prepare for the hot and humid weather by wearing comfortable clothes made of natural materials and bringing sun protection. Exploring the ruins can be enhanced with a guide or an audio guide to learn about their significance. The area is not as vast as Angkor but still holds great historical value.
We had a great time looking around these beautiful temples. Paths are good and there is a tram for the longest part of the walk. We arrived at 3pm which was not crowded and cooler (although still hot in July!). There were no guides available as the last one had just been booked so maybe go a little earlier if you want a tour guide
Karen S — Google review
Loved this experience...the ruins allow one to feel the history of the sites and one is able to purchase a guide explaining each site, or have a guide assist. The museum is also informative. There is a buggy ride to the starting point and back, if unable, one can take a private buggy to avoid the walk and still enjoy the experience, with a third option of renting a bicycle. They have a show which shares the culture and music of their festival days, along with a very enticing dance routine which is mesmerising. On certain days they have a singing show, however we did not experience this when we went (wrong day). Not full when we attended, which was a Wednesday morning. Lots of drink carts along the way to refresh. Had the best lemon tea and cold coconut on the walk back.
Lee W — Google review
The place is phenomenal. I would suggest wear comfortable shoes and clothes because you have to walk a lot. The ruins make you wonder of how beautiful this place would’ve been in all its glory! There are lotus ponds adding to its scenic value. However I would appreciate if the tour guides would learn more about this place and its culture. But this trip is worth everything. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam. The best part is they also have benches for people to sit and mini cafes for food and water. A very well thought and well maintained.
Nikita K — Google review
Such a great learning experience. It was nice to read and learn about the history of this site and how its a UNESCO site as well. I liked that they had bicycles you could rent for very cheap to get to the main site quicker, especially on a hot day. Souvenirs were plenty to pick from. They let you walk around the site respectfully and go inside certain areas.
A D — Google review
We had a great time there. It is a beautiful historic site and truly deserves the status of UNESCO world heritage. The place is well organised and the paths are well maintained and easy to walk. A lot of money is spent in keeping the place up and in renovating the damages of the Vietnam war. I would recommend going there with a guide. It was truly a great experience to get the information from a local. The scenery is als great.
Christian — Google review
Definitely worth the visit. Champa history and Hindu history. Ride there on a motorbike to experience the Vietnamese countryside. It takes roughly an hour to walk around but if you are more invested in learning there is also a museum art the beginning. Audio guides help with the learning too.
Dominique D — Google review
This place is about an hour’s drive from Hoi An, so if you wish to explore more beautiful sites beyond the old town, this is a great opportunity. After purchasing the entrance ticket, you walk about 500 meters to a station where a shuttle will take you closer to the main temple zone. You can also choose to rent a bicycle for around 30,000 VND. For visitors who have difficulty walking, it is possible to coordinate a car shuttle directly to the temple area. Once inside, you’ll find a nice traditional performance (the schedule is provided with the ticket). The area also has spots to rest and enjoy a cold drink or something to eat. The walk to the temples is short and easy, but it’s a good idea to bring sunscreen and wear a hat, as the sun can be strong. Don’t forget to visit the museum—it provides fascinating explanations about the site and showcases archaeological findings that enrich the experience. Overall, this place combines history, culture, and convenience, making it a highly recommended trip from Hoi An.
Rave G — Google review
Went as an afternoon trip and we had a great guide who was very knowledgeable of the history and of the renovations taking place. Built around the same time as Angkor Wat and with as much history. Definitely worth spending few hours here in the peace of the area learning about it.

My Son is a captivating historical site located in the serene Duy Phu Commune of Quang Nam Province, approximately 69 km southwest of Danang. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases the remnants of Hindu temples built between the 4th and 14th centuries, characterized by stunning red brick structures adorned with intricate carvings. Once an imperial city during the Cham dynasty, My Son served as a significant cultural and religious hub for this ancient civilization.
Highly recommend adding this to your Vietnam itinerary! The site is beautiful and has so much history. You are able to walk around and go inside many of the buildings. There are three sites to visit and there is a pavilion which has a show a couple times a day. There is also a small restaurant on the property.

We visited very early today (~7AM) and we were the first guests to enter the area which was very nice. Overall we had a nice morning there and the temples, altars and other Chamba buildings were very interesting. Can highly recommend to do the tour with a guide.
Michael S — Google review
Nice historic site made of ancient ruined Hindu temples easily accessible from Danang and Hoi An. We visited in low rainy season and were the only visitors on site which was quite spectacular in many ways ! If you feel like walking a bit, it is only a 2-km walk from the entrance to the site and quite a lovely journey. There is a 15-minute traditional show at the end of the tour to close the visit. First show of the day this time of year was at 9:45am. Therefore all tourist buses and groups are not aiming to arrive on site before 8:30-9:00. I did not feel it was so impressive but definitely a nice and interesting visit.
Gilles P — Google review
Was very nice. There is shows and you can just walk imdividually if you feel like. There is also tours if you like that. Entry is 150 k Dong. It is so well maintained and definitely worth a visit. The Temples are impressive.

A great little morning trip out of Hoi An. Very interesting site in a really lovely location. Come with a guide and you’ll learn a lot. We did an early morning guided tour from Hoi An, arriving at My Son at 6.30am and it was perfect time, so quiet and you got to have a really open and comfortable experience.
Emily M — Google review
Visiting My Son was an unforgettable experience! The site is incredibly atmospheric, surrounded by lush greenery, and the ancient temples and ruins are absolutely fascinating. Walking through the area really gives you a sense of the history and culture of the Champa Kingdom. We were amazed by the architecture and the peacefulness of the site. It’s less crowded than other tourist spots, which makes it even more special to explore at your own pace. A visit to My Son is a must for anyone traveling to Vietnam, both for history lovers and anyone who enjoys beautiful, serene landscapes.
Mathilde B — Google review
Beautiful place, although brickwork looks slightly dated and in need of some maintenance. All jokes aside, this Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is an incredible UNESCO world heritage site that is definitely worth it if you are in the region. There is so much to see when walking amongst these ruins that would have been a prominent religious place in their day. The carvings, sculptures, and feeling of walking up stairs and through chambers that people worshipped in centuries ago is a timeless reminder of our human spirit. Logistically, We rode a scooter there from Hoi An, sweated through our clothes in the heat, then had coconut coffees. Magical.
Dean — Google review
this is very interesting part of the Vietnam experience, when we can get a glimpse of its past and ancient history. The sanctuary is similar in many ways to Ankor Wat in Cambodia. It's a living proof of cultural and spiritual influence from India. The place is well preserved and organized, accessible by their own electric vehicles only. Surrounded by greenery and mountains, in the middle of a valley. Be prepared for high heat and humidity if visiting during the hotter months. There is also a very beautiful lake full of lotus, great for taking pictures.

Dingo Deli is a popular spot in Hoi An, especially among expats. It's not just a cafe but also a bakery, restaurant, and delicatessen that offers Lavazza Italian coffee and an array of caffeinated beverages. Run by a friendly Australian couple, this establishment caters to those looking for familiar tastes from home with its generous portions and diverse menu including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The place offers fast Wi-Fi and comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors.
Tried gluten free bread with butter chicken, then next day Thái green curry. Both dishes had enough chicken meat. Both had actual flavours. The gluten free bread was that, heftier than regular bread. Can use Wise Prepaid Debit Card for payment, no extra hidden charges. A big plus.

Decent food, first time we went the chips were amazing. Second time we went the chips were still a bit raw. Maybe we just got unlucky. Cool interior with a selection of free sauces and wide selection of drinks.
Kilian C — Google review
Must stop over for your western cravings. Highest quality & service. Gordon, the owner is awesome. They also have a little store filled with hard to find imported products. Do not miss this gem...
Ted L — Google review
We came to Dingo Deli after craving gluten free pizza over the last few months travelling, and it more than cured that!! The pizza was so so yummy, and my boyfriend (who isn’t gluten free and had a regular base) said it was also his best pizza so far! I also got a gluten free carrot cake to go, which was lush!
Lillibelle S — Google review
I'm staying in Da Nang, however when I saw the menu and the pics, I had to come. I needed some western breakfast and they met all my expectations. The service, food, atmosphere, everything was great. I can't wait to come back.
Deleno J — Google review
Only ate half, and they gave me a little fruit salad to apologize for the over cooked eggs & you can see quite clearly these eggs were not poached but cooked in a cup or microwave.. top dollar low quality unfortunately. Refund would have been more appropriate. I don't travel to whinge or create stress.. but I won't return to places that don't live up to the hype.
Brad W — Google review
You must visit dingo deli for the fabulous gluten free food. They have a separate menu with plenty of choice. They can also bake gluten free bread within a few hours of ordering. Excellent staff and service
Nicola R — Google review
We came here from a recommendation to get the chicken Caesar wrap. When we got here we couldn’t help ourself but order the pastrami sandwich also and go half and half. We didn’t think much of the wrap but the pastrami sandwich however.. amazing. We came back a second day just for it. At 159K you can’t go wrong with the size of this thing, it’s massive! And super tasty. Over all the restaurant is clean and staff are friendly and give great service. Since here is a lot of westernised food it is a bit pricier however, still affordable. Would recommend if you’re missing home comforts such as bangers and mash or a chilli con carne. I even managed to find a Dr Pepper which was a blessing after travelling around Asia for a few months. They offer a wide range of gluten free options even desserts.

The cafes are housed in traditional historic buildings and feature a cozy interior with rustic furniture. They offer a variety of coffee brewing methods, including pour-over and French press, using high-grade Arabica beans sourced from Dalat. Visitors can enjoy strong and aromatic coffee in lovely courtyards with comfortable seating.
Very nice cafe to come and cool down it is aur conditioned in the second floor. Coffee is delicious and they have some some loval food as well also a store where they sell coffee and tea and honey and chocolate. I recommend also for the atmosphere
Ben J — Google review
This place offers the worst coffee that I’ve tasted in Vietnam (I live here for 4 month and drink coffee daily) I couldn’t even comprehend why coffee was so bad. We ordered 3 different types of coffee and couldn’t finish any. This place is not representative of real Vietnamese coffee. Pastry was good though. Staff were extremely nice and friendly.
Vlada M — Google review
I recently tried coconut coffee, and it turned out to be one of the most unique and refreshing coffee experiences I’ve had. The first sip instantly stood out – the rich, bold aroma of freshly brewed coffee beautifully blended with the light, natural sweetness of coconut. Unlike regular flavored coffees that often taste artificial, this one felt smooth and authentic. The coconut added a creamy texture without being heavy, making the drink both comforting and energizing. There’s a subtle nuttiness in the aftertaste that lingers pleasantly, leaving you wanting another sip. What I loved most is how it balances flavors – the coffee isn’t overpowered, and the coconut doesn’t feel too sweet. It’s the perfect drink for someone who enjoys experimenting beyond traditional lattes and cappuccinos. To me, it’s like a tropical twist in a cup – uplifting, indulgent, and memorable. If you’re a coffee lover looking for something refreshing yet different, coconut coffee is absolutely worth trying. 🌴✨

Whenever I'm in Hoi An, I visit one of the many Hoi An Rostery Coffee Houses. I rarely drink coffee because I can't tolerate it. The coffee served here is top-quality and makes me feel good. It's always worth one or more visits. I love the baked goods.
Wolfgang T — Google review
Very interesting coffee flavours. Not something I liked personally but could be interesting to some. We had lemongrass and peach brewed coffee and egg coffee. Egg coffee had a very strong egg flavour
Sifat K — Google review
Coffee at Hội An Roastery was just okay for me. The food wasn’t great… my bread was a bit tough, almost like it was from the day before. What I did enjoy though was the overall vibe of the café, and I appreciate that they also sell their own coffee grounds, which is a nice touch for coffee lovers.

Red Dragon Restaurant and Cooking Class in Hoi An offers contemporary Vietnamese cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients. It is a popular choice among expats and locals due to its affordable prices and delicious food. The lunch set is highly recommended for its value, and the cooking class provides an opportunity to learn more about Vietnamese culinary traditions. Visitors have praised the restaurant for offering a three-course meal at an attractive price point, making it a great dining option in Hoi An.
We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is Vietnamese with a western twist. The pork belly, duck and tuna are amazing. Prices reasonable, service great. They have great "buckets" of cocktails. I especially like their Gin and tonic with mango, dragon fruit and passionfruit.
Jenell P — Google review
We arrived late in the evening to Hoi An and were grateful to find The Red Dragon still open—and conveniently close to our lodging. From the moment we walked in, the owners welcomed us with warmth and kindness. The food was absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the raw red tuna dishes—they were fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Even the homemade French fries and the chocolate mousse hit the spot for our youngest, who, after a long journey, was just looking for something comforting. It was such a pleasure to enjoy a lovely meal while also browsing some beautiful local art and crafts. A great spot that we’re happy to recommend!
Ninon ( — Google review
Hands down, the BEST smoked duck in town!! You will not be disappointed. My close second favorite is the snapper, followed by the vegan curry. Oh and the seared raw tuna salad is great for lunch! It’s one of the rare restaurants in HoiAn that do everything exceptionally well with a small curated menu.
Kim C — Google review
Nice restaurant with amazing food. We tried the Tuna, beef, fried pork belly and dark chocolate mousse and would eat them all again if we could. They also do tasty fishbowls. Recommend the passion mojito.
Tom D — Google review
The thing with Red Dragon is food. The quality is amazing, presentation is well structured, taste is out of this planet. Duck Bao is that good that I got it as a first dish - and as a dessert. At the other hand, dessert choice is limited and could be upgraded, to follow the dish offer at proper pace. Make a reservation rather then walk in. The place is slightly out of center, you will need a transportation option for sure. No smoking inside.
GOLA G — Google review
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We have lived in Da Nang for 4 months and decided to take a quick trip to Hoi An for my birthday. We searched for places to eat near our villa and stumbled upon Red Dragon. This is some of the best food I’ve ever had in my LIFE. We had the autumn rolls, snapper and duck. Our 2 boys had the kids chicken nuggets and cheeseburger which were so good we ended up ordering a second order of the nuggets. My husband and I also shared a Moscow Mule bucket for happy hour. We are already planning our next trip back just to eat here!
Jessica H — Google review
I've been to Red Dragon many times over the last 14 years and it never disappoints. The food is excellent, staff are friendly, service is spot on and prices very reasonable. Tip: The slow-cooked caramelised pork belly is to die for. I'll be back there soon.
Ed S — Google review
Have been coming here since 2020 during covid and they still have really good food. We had the Bao Buns are a snack and it was incredible, fresh, tasty and did not disappoint. Would highly recommend trying one of each boa buns! I had the satay chicken and also the tuna buns, but my favorite is definitely the coconut shrimp.

This was the best meal I’ve had in Vietnam. Everything was so fresh, and you could truly taste the quality in every bite. The staff is the kindest in the world—it’s a family-run place, and you can feel the love and care in both the food and the service. I have many dietary restrictions, and they were incredibly accommodating, willing to adjust anything on the menu with a smile. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Hidden gem, tucked away in a small alley. Had dinner here second time this week. Then it has to be good right? Nice atmosphere and really friendly people. Everything tastes wonderfull. My personal recommendations are the Abalone with garlic butter and shrimps in garlic butter. I really like the garlic butter here. Chef needs to tell me what's inside the sauce.

Probably best meal we've had in Vietnam. Fillet fish in banana leaf, prawns in tamarind sauce and mango salad...incredible! Also Life Taste non-alcoholic drink goes AMAZING with all that. Server was SO personable too, all to the backdrop of some chilled jazz music just off the beach. Faultless!!

We went during the low season so it was quiet, but the atmosphere and the vibes still felt very nice and special. This family run business feels like they genuinely want you to enjoy the foods that they serve. The service is amazing and they’re all very friendly! Thanh Ha Pottery Village in Hoi An is a historic craft village that has been around for over 400 years. The village features traditional pottery workshops and is known for its signature noodle dish. Visitors can explore the red-roof communal houses, yellow brick walls, dock, and banyan tree that represent a real Vietnamese traditional village.
It was an interesting encounter. You need to pay a small fee to "enter" the village and roam around. Despite not attending any workshop, there are lots of works that are worth looking into, and I recommend it for its price.
Fabrizio P — Google review
This is such a cool cultural site to see. I took a pottery class for only a few USD (and now have a handmade souvenir to take home with me) and walked around and saw some really beautiful art. The terracotta pieces around the village and within the museum are huge but filled with intricate details that tell different stories about Vietnam. You pay a small fee to enter the village that helps support its residents and their work, and it also covers a small clay souvenir of your choice. Just a really neat place overall.

Super nice activity for kids and family, pick a little shop and make your own! Biking distance from Hoi An old quarter. Entrance fee 35k and remember to pick up your little gift with your ticket code bar at the designated gift shop on ticket. 50 to 100k per person to make yr own and have fun!
Peggy R — Google review
Visit only if you have plenty of time in hoi an. This place is far from main town area. Tickets cost 35k vnd pp where you can choose a souvenir pp from any of the 3 shops they mention. Ticket wasn’t actually necessary as you walk through the lanes and many local shops have same pottery classes and stuffs to sell. Pottery making experience is free with the ticket , but they insist you very much on buying and some places even charge you extra 50k for the pottery making experience. So ask before you start. At one place they said the experience is free and I tried my hands. But they helped me a lot to make the product look good so that I end up buying it. We couldn’t take it with us as we didn’t have space in luggage and it is delicate and have to wait until it dries up. So we had some drinks at the same place which was reasonably priced and very delicious. The place name is cafe GOM. Souvenir- its a cute animal where you can blow whistle! There is also a pottery museum and the tickets cost extra. We did not go here.

pleasantly surprised as I had never visited a pottery museum before. Entrance fee VND50k. Learned quite a bit about the tradition & history of pottery making in Vietnam..Should visit if you are interested in anything made of clay .Need to be careful when viewing the sculptures and pottery and would advise against bringing young children..they have a small workshop behind for those interested and small cafe.

Nestled in a serene garden oasis, Jack's Cat Cafe is a delightful haven for both feline lovers and food enthusiasts. This charming spot features over 100 rescued cats who roam freely among lush trees, tranquil ponds, and quaint pagodas. Guests can unwind with refreshing beverages or savor delicious vegetarian dishes from a menu that changes regularly, including tasty options like guacamole on rye and crispy tofu wraps.
The most memorable part of our 10 days trip! We chanced upon Jack’s Cat Cafe on Google while searching up must visit places in Hoi An, and we had the happiest time ever! Aside from the extremely cute 100+ cats and few dogs that we met, the owners themselves are literal angels! The owners were God-sent, sacrificing their lives back home in Europe to take care of local kitties in a little town called Hoi An. We felt much positive energy and unconditional love from them for the animals there. We are so thankful for all the work that they’ve done, and we appreciate them so much for making the world a better place for all the cats & dogs that they’ve ever came across. Every cat or dog has a name, and a story to tell, each one with their own unique personalities and charm. Although operating at full capacity, no animal would be turned away by them. We were lucky to have had the time to visit on 3 different days, no amount of time will ever be enough there! Please remember to book in advance, visits are kept short as they prioritize the well-being of the animals there. Thank you for the unforgettable times we spent at your sanctuary. It’s heaven on Earth. Sending love all the way from Singapore!

I recently visited for the second time. The staff are lovely and they have made a perfect haven for the cats at the new location. The cats are all healthy and happy. I had a wonderful morning with the cats and could have stayed all day! The work they do is amazing, please support them by visiting.
Coryn H — Google review
I didn’t take any photos because I was too caught up in the experience, which says a lot about how special it was. The coconut coffee was good, but the real reason to come here is the cats. They are clearly well cared for, and a couple of hours with them is time well spent. I also bought a tote bag that supports their mission to make Hoi An dog and cat meat free. The quality is great and the message is even better. Do yourself a favor and visit. It is a meaningful way to spend part of your day while supporting a cause that matters.
Mariann — Google review
I loved this experience! Don’t forget to book in advance. They are only open 3 times a week for a short time to allow the cats their rest and privacy. This means that they are super happy and cuddly and want all your attention when you come in though 🥰 there’s over a 100 cats and the staff and volunteers know all of them by name and are happy to tell you all their stories and little quirks. The space feels super peaceful, well taken care of and clean. Highly recommend a visit!
Sara G — Google review
I come to Jack's every time I come to Hoi An. It's the best cat café I've ever been to in all my travels. The cats are obviously well cared for and well-loved. The drinks are tasty. The entire place is clean and well-designed, especially this newest location. The people who run Jack's are some of the kindest, most caring people you'll ever meet. They're doing amazing work and deserve your support. I always leave a donation when my time there is up and I hope everyone else who visits does the same.
Laura W — Google review
They’re doing amazing work here at this shelter / cat cafe! The cats are all amazingly friendly - sit down and you’ll have a few on your lap or even on your shoulders. The volunteers are really lovely, know all the cats by name and can tell you all about them. They’re doing such great work in the community - definitely take the time to go in and support these guys!

A fantastic place to visit with 108 rescued cats. We sat down and immediately had cats on our laps. They are well cared for and the staff know them by name and personality. You need to book in advance and they are only open a few days a week. Our coffees were really nice and we enjoyed supporting such a good cause.

The Hoian Eco Coconut Tour offers an enjoyable and educational experience. The day begins with a market tour to learn about cooking ingredients and gather supplies for a cooking class. The highlight is the basket boat ride through coconut trees and beautiful scenery, featuring activities like spinning the boat, crab fishing, karaoke, and dancing boats. The boat guides are friendly, ensuring a fun and safe experience. This tour provides great value for money and is highly recommended for those seeking an entertaining Vietnamese adventure.
We had a really enjoyable time, got lucky with beautiful weather and less crowds. We did the spinning boat and had no idea how fast it would be so be warned! We felt a little sick after but the ride back was peaceful and smooth. Nothing better than a cold fresh coconut after (good price despite being a tourist area).

Fabulous morning spent at BA Tran Basket & Cooking class, lovely scenic boat ride and very fun on the spinning boat, i would recommend. Thuy and Hang were so friendly and welcoming during the cooking class, food was delicious. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to anyone who comes to Vietnam!

Hio An Cooking Class was a fantastic experience! The instructors were incredibly friendly, patient, and professional, making the class both fun and easy to follow. I loved learning authentic techniques and local recipes in such a welcoming environment. Highly recommended for anyone wanting hands-on cooking and cultural insight in Hoi An.

The experience went really well! Owner is so kind from hotel pick up until the end. Anh who handles the class was really helpful in sharing her knowledge with cooking local vietnamese cuisine. Overall, satisfied with the activity!

Anna you are awesome! What a morning. Anna explained so much about the traditional Vietnamese fruits, vegetables, herbs and markets, so we felt privileged to be a part of the place. Air-conditioned transport to the cooking school and Coconut basket trip. We loved every minute of the experience, and above all, with help from Anna, we made some incredible food. We're heading home with such amazing experiences in Vietnam, and this was one of the best. Thank you Anna!!

We just turned up here as per a good suggestion on a review site. They were super friendly and had us out on the coconut boats within 5 minutes. Very very fun - we hired two boats - one for the adults and one for the kids. It was pretty touristy and busy but still was a great time. Highly recommend.
Andrew B — Google review
That was FUN!! We did the boat tour and although this is such a touristic attraction, it was totally worth it. Not too long, good fun and we're lucky with our "captain", he was amazing. Highly recommend the place, also for a nice fresh drink after the trip!

We had a great time doing the activities! We had so much fun with the coconut boat and the cooking. They also had vegetarian options. Hang was lovely and showed us how to cook delicious Vietnamese dishes. Also the classes are located right next to a small river so it’s a really nice and calm spot.

Tucked away in a narrow alley just off Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Coffee Hub is a charming spot adorned with mossy walls and coffee-themed decor. The outdoor seating provides a perfect setting for leisurely conversations. Visitors praise the salted coffee and relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal escape from the bustling streets of Hoi An. Guests also appreciate the warm welcome from the owner and staff, as well as unique offerings like coconut coffee prepared with fresh coconut milk.
Such a cozy nice coffee place. It's a hidden gem in Hoi An. The coffee place is a tranquil at the end of a calm alley in the middle of the always busy and loudly Hoi An ancient city. The owner is a great guy with very good English that will happily explain about the coffee making process and help you to decide incase you are new to Vietnamese coffee. I had the traditional Vietnamese black coffee and my wife had the coconut coffee - both were delicious. Price is competitive and the place has a beautiful atmosphere, with a lust garden and a a beautiful small koi pond. Even the toilet is charming. Best coffee I had in Hoi An and maybe in Vietnam :)
Julio R — Google review
I wish I could give 6 stars! This spot is such a hidden gem. We went back 2 days in a row because it was so peaceful and the coffee is divine. Tried the coconut coffee, salt coffee, and egg coffee and they were all perfect. The cafe feels like an escape from the busy town into a secret garden. Quiet, serene, and beautiful. Wonderful service. A must visit
Olivia D — Google review
Lovely place with a languid peaceful atmosphere. We had the egg coffee and the hot coconut coffee. Both excellent. The egg coffee is a work of art unique to this cafe. It's carefully made with flambéed frothy sweetened egg topped with little pieces of crystallised orange jam. The robust coffee cuts through with just the right strength to complement the sweetness. The coconut coffee is made with frothed slightly sweetened coconut milk to give a delicious mild breakfast coffee. Cool garden and interior tucked away from the busy streets. Mellow music and free jasmine tea. Friendly welcome.
Bridget W — Google review

Hoi A Coffee Hub – A truly special place. The peaceful atmosphere made me feel so relaxed. The staff and owners are such kind, genuine people who make you feel at home. The mango smoothie was also delicious. Grateful for the time I spent here.”
Vikas A — Google review
Excellent egg coffee. The egg yolk is baked with sugar - in a cup - and tastes like a fine layer of meringue. The coffee underneath is delicious. Their coconut coffee is awesome too. I also bought some Arabica beans that tasted great as an espresso trial.
Dinara D — Google review
The location of this coffee shop is what sets it apart and gives it the high ranking. It’s right in Old Town but very easy to miss because it’s tucked so far down a quiet alley. The staff are very attentive. We had an egg coffee and it was good but not amazing. They make theirs similar to a custard (think crème brûlée) and to me personally, that’s not the best. But, the drink was good and the atmosphere is shady and quiet, a perfect escape from the hustle of Old Town.

Lovely from the moment we stepped into the calm Spa. Very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. They served us a delightful ginger, cinnamon and lemon grass tea before and after the massage. The pomelo fruit was an extra nice touch. The massage was so relaxing and just what I needed after a long day of sight seeing. I highly recommend this place.

I have had many massages while travelling Vietnam. This was by FAR my favourite. I received a back, neck, and shoulder massage. My masseuse is obviously very skilled, and she focused on all my knots and sore areas. When I finished, all my pain and tightness was gone. The service also is amazing. From the moment we walked in we were treated well. The staff are all super friendly. We had a lovely conversation about our trip and our time in Vietnam. I would love to come back for another massage before we go home. Highly recommend this Spa to anyone visiting the area ☺️🩷

What a truly wonderful experience. From the amazingly friendly front of hour to the sweet and skilled therapists; this place is a 10/10. Thank you so much; we will be coming back!!

I received one of the nicest massages here. A traditional Vietnamese massage that is relaxing yet still relieves sore muscles The ladies are just so lovely and I love that they use coconut oil for the massages. Beforehand I had a lovely foot soak in lemongrass and ginger, plus a sea salt/lemon foot scrub. A lovely homemade tea of lemongrass, ginger and cinnamon beforehand and after the massage was a lovely touch. This business is extremely clean and the staff are very professional. I highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back!

The spa was spotless and the spa shoes were so comfy that I ended up buying a pair! Highly recommend!

Spend an hour crafting your own unique lantern while sipping on iced Vietnamese coffee and chatting with the patient and kind teacher. The class is suitable for both adults and kids, providing an enjoyable activity for all. Take home a beautifully crafted lantern that can be folded up as a souvenir from your travels. Highly recommended for those seeking a hands-on cultural experience during their trip.
Great experience! We made lanterns with Phi, who was super friendly and helpful and guides you through the process. We didn’t need an appointment, just walked right in. You are able to choose the size, shape, fabric and tassel colour of your lantern. We were in there for about an hour. The price is very reasonable, and she even gave us a little one to also take home with us. If you’re looking for something to do in Hoi An, definitely give this lantern making class a visit!

Had a wonderful hour experience with Mi (Niece) and Phi (Owner) they were both very warm and welcoming! Mi was wonderful and very helpful getting us started on our lanterns, she was patient and showed me and my wife what to do at each stage. Phi arrived shortly after we begun and supported us also, she spoke great English and was warm and welcoming and very helpful. We had a wonderful experience and the lanterns make for a beautiful personalised souvenir to take home. Thank you both so much! Love Reece and Kayliegh ❤️

We enjoyed a latern making class with Phi on our visit to Hoi An. We dropped in without a booking in the middle of the day and had our own private class. Phi and her cousin were very friendly and patient with us and helped us make 2 beautiful lanterns and we received 2 baby laterns for free! Highly recommend this class for a lovely, wholesome activity while in Hoi An!
Abby M — Google review
We did drop and they luckily had room for the three of us. Everyone working was super helpful, and you can order drinks while you work as well. The lantern making process was super cool to learn and Phi was really helpful trying to make it a smooth process and helping during any mistakes we made. Price is quite good for getting to learn to make the lanterns, the final product and the smaller bonus lanterns you can go home with. And if you don’t have time to make a lantern, you can even just buy a premade one at the shop as well. Such a lovely space and definitely a highlight of the trip. The lanterns also collapse so you can easily pack them into ur bag!

It was a really nice experience. We just went in and Phi immediately took care of us. She has really good english. Me and my girlfriend had a really great time making a lantern, and although I wasn't really good in it, Phi helped me to make it perfect!

Had a wonderful lantern making activity with Phi! We were looking for an activity to do in Hoi An especially on our nth time in the old town and my husband found Phi here on google maps! He called her and we were booked for a lantern making session. It was just the two of us and we were so thrilled to be able to make the lanterns that we wanted to take back to Saigon with us. Phi is sweet, chatty and helpful. She encouraged us even though we were making errors and helped us make our lanterns pretty! What a beautiful way to spend afternoon! And thank you Phi for the amazing class! 😍

Oh man we love kahunas! What’s not to love about an awesome bar and restaurant that provides a free pool, WiFi, cozy lounging areas, games, beach chairs etc etc just for buying a drink or food there?!? So awesome! You’ll find lots of backpackers/westerners here hanging out. Usually has a party vibe with music playing. Sometimes they seem to run out of stuff like beers but overall a great place to spend the day at the beach! Amazing food too. So delicious!

Pristine beach section of An Bang. Not too crowded. Plenty of shade and breezy. Chill and relaxing atmosphere with DJ beats in the background. I like that they have an extra bar on the beach. Very reasonable priced drinks and eats. The staff were all super kool and service was fast. Also a great plus were the clean restrooms, a swimming pool, and private showers.

Great casual vibe. Familes and backpackers by day, more of a backpacker bar by night. Basic menu but food was pretty good. Cool bar with tables and chairs around a pool that's free to use. Hammocks to laze in under the trees overlooking the beach; bocce court; stand up paddle boards to hire. Situated perfectly just beyond the centre of An Bang and a much better option away from the crowds.

A place equal to this in Bali would be heaving with 10 times the people. We came here on the free shuttle from VBH on our first day and came back every day. We had the beach sunbed area to ourselves on one day and it was never busy otherwise. I can vouch that the slushie cocktails and the chips are worth every dong, and the vibe priceless. Staff are fab. As you wander through its charming streets, you'll have the opportunity to witness skilled master carpenters at work, creating exquisite wooden products that reflect the village's artistic heritage. The vibrant atmosphere is further enhanced by the chance to savor local specialties that highlight Hoi An's culinary delights.
This one is really fun if like countryside, look at carpenters at work , ride around in a bike and have beer at some mini marts. Ideal place to go if want to avoid hustle of old town. The museum is worth the entrance fee as some nice imaginative art in there.

A few kilometres travel from Hoi An, crossing a couple of noisy metal bridges. Local people are going about their lives carving wooden sculptures, making mats and incense. There is also a thriving wooden boat repair industry. A nice and relaxed afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of the old town.

Wonderful to see families still practicing age old trades such as sculpting, carpentry, boat repairs and mat weaving etc. Quite an experience to walk through all the workshops. We walked there from old town and then took a boat back across the river. Quite a nice outing.

Hwee G — Google review
They charge 35,000vnd per person for entry. I guess it helps support the local crafts. They give you a wooden carving of your Chinese zodiac with your entry ticket. You can have a go at mat weaving. Basically two streets with a few shops with their woodworking displays which you can see similar at Hoi An and buy if you wish. A few shops have tables set up outside for you to try wood carving your name and a pattern like a boat, fish or flower on a wooden coupon to takeaway as a souvenir. May see some woodworking demonstrations outside their shop front. Toilets available.

Christina's Hoi An - Tra Que's Oasis offers a variety of cooking classes at local restaurants and established cooking schools like 'Rice Drum', 'Morning Glory' and 'Red Bridge'. The new 3-bedroom villa provides a tranquil space with attentive staff who organize activities such as cooking classes with locals. The location is ideal, just 1km from the beach and 3km from the ancient town, with free bicycles for exploring.
We loved this place so much we ended up extending our stay from 2 nights to 6 nights. The location is fantastic - you are in a peaceful village only 1km away from the beach and about 3km from the ancient town. Christina's gives you free bicycles so you can explore on your own. The staff was AMAZING. They were attentive, happy, and always went above and beyond. For example, I was ill and Vi made me a ginger and honey tea from the restaurant and also provided extra tea bags. She also welcomed us with watermelon and refreshing drinks as we arrived in the middle of a hot day. The room was super clean and comfortable - very new. The sheets and bed were so comfortable we couldn't get out of bed! And where to even start on the free brunch!? It was a highlight along with the pool. The food was fresh and delicious with lovely river views. Thank you Christina's - we loved our stay!

This place is a beautiful gem, we stayed a week at the new 3 bedroom villa and really enjoyed the space and tranquillity. We were looked after by Xiu and Dong who among other things organised a nice cooking class with the local people at Water wheel, which was a lovely experience. The only downside we could find was that the sofa was rather uncomfortable, but we are assured this will be remedied with more cushions. The pool at the main hotel is lovely, and so is the buffet breakfast.
