West Wetlands Park is a sprawling 110-acre riverfront oasis located in Yuma, Arizona, along the Colorado River. It offers a range of recreational activities including playgrounds, multi-use trails, grassy areas for sports, and a picturesque pond. The park also features a Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden, an Owl Habitat, equestrian trails, disc-golf courses, and boating opportunities.
A beautiful park that's well maintained with a lovely pond full of happy ducks when we visited. The highlight though is absolutely the children's creative play area with an incredible huge castle play area that our toddler loved. It had so much to explore we could have spent hours and hours there! Definitely a great place to stop and let a kid run around and play for a while.
Erica S — Google review
A beautiful sprawling park on the shores of the Colorado River near downtown Yuma. There are plenty of easy walking trails, bike paths, and covered picnic areas. We sat my the pond and watched the duck, geese, and egrets while eating lunch. Plenty for the kids to enjoy.
John — Google review
West Wetlands Park is one of Yuma’s treasures, a wide stretch of green space that feels like a blessing in the desert. Set along the Colorado River, it brings together trails, ponds, and playgrounds in a way that makes it perfect for families, couples, or anyone just wanting a quiet walk under open skies. The pond at the center is alive with ducks and birds, and it’s a peaceful place to sit and watch the water. Trails wind through the park, some shaded by trees, others opening up to river views that remind you of just how much life the water gives to this part of Arizona. Kids have plenty of room to run, from the castle-style playground to open fields, and the butterfly and hummingbird garden adds a touch of beauty that makes the park even more unique. What makes West Wetlands Park special is how it balances activity and rest. You can spend the day picnicking, fishing, or flying a kite, or you can simply find a bench and let the sound of the river calm your spirit. It’s a place that invites you to breathe, slow down, and appreciate Yuma in a deeper way. Grateful Traveler’s Note

You really can't help but come back to this park. It's quiet, clean, and you can make lots of new friends. Of course, you still need to be careful, especially with the animals that live here, and above all, follow the regulations that apply to this park to maintain order and cleanliness.

Lovely park. If you need some green, this is a great spot. Lots of wildlife of you look around. There are no euphemisms in this post, great for nature lovers. Has a paved boat ramp.

Nestled in the heart of Yuma, Arizona, the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park is a fascinating glimpse into the past. Established in 1876, this former prison has transformed into an engaging museum that showcases its storied history through preserved ruins and informative exhibits. Visitors can wander through stone-walled cells, explore the remnants of prison buildings, and pay their respects at the cemetery. The park also features a visitor center with interpretive panels and a lovely cactus garden to enjoy.
Neat history and info. Most of the buildings are no longer there but there are still some cell blocks, gate, museum, library, yard and other things to see. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Museum has a lot of info and the gift shop employees are friendly and helpful.

Said to be one of the most haunted destinations in Yuma, Arizona, we found the prison to be fun for the whole family. It is educational, historical and full of surprises. Prices are $10 per adult and $5 perchild, free parking. There is an indoor museum and an outdoor interactive Prison setting. There is also a dark cave (with bats you can actually see) and plenty of photo ops. We loved that there was a shaded space for a picnic should you chose to bring a lunch. Staff is welcoming, friendly and informative and we would highly recommend this tourist attraction.
Natalie R — Google review
I loved the history here! I spent almost two hours here and I would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the heat! There's so much to read and interact with as you learn about this historical place. Mike, the staff member inside the museum, was great to talk to and knowledgeable. I was able to comfortably geek-out on the history and enjoy myself. Highly recommend

My wife and I, along with a few friends, visited the Yuma Territorial Prison Historical State Park on October 3rd, 2025, and we absolutely loved it. The museum is packed with fascinating history about the prison, its prisoners, and the many stories that shaped this place. You can really feel the weight of the past as you walk through the old cells and read about the people who once lived here. The exhibits are well organized, informative, and engaging — it’s easy to spend a couple of hours exploring everything. The staff were friendly and clearly passionate about preserving the history of the prison. The views of the Colorado River from the grounds are also beautiful and worth taking in before you leave. Overall, it’s a must-visit if you’re in Yuma. A great mix of history, atmosphere, and storytelling!

Took our horses and everyone on the trail was respectful to each other. Lose dogs we're extremely well mannered, no issues with dogs or children. Beautiful trails and a great sot to take the horses to explore the natural habitat of Yuma county.

Very nice! Well keeped grounds. If you are going through Yuma, a must stop! You can spend an hour or more, well worth the time.

Fun place to take the kids at the right time of the year. We went in the middle of October. Easy access for the kids to go out and play. Water went about 3 ft deep going across.

Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park is a must-see for history buffs and anyone looking for a unique and interesting experience. The prison, which was in operation from 1876 to 1909, housed some of the most notorious criminals of the Wild West. The prison is exceptionally well-preserved, and visitors can explore the cell blocks, guard tower, and other buildings. The museum on site offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the prisoners and the history of the prison. Here are some of the highlights of my visit: * The cells: The cells are small and cramped, and it's easy to imagine what it must have been like to be confined in one of them. * The guard tower: The guard tower offers a great view of the surrounding area, and it's easy to see how the guards were able to keep an eye on the prisoners. * The museum: The museum is full of interesting exhibits about the history of the prison and the lives of the prisoners. Overall, I highly recommend Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park. It's a fascinating and informative place to visit, and it's a great way to learn about the history of the Wild West. Here are some additional tips for visiting the park: * Allow plenty of time: There is a lot to see and do at the park, so allow at least 2-3 hours for your visit. * Wear comfortable shoes: You'll be doing a lot of walking, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. * Bring water: It can get hot in Yuma, so make sure you bring water to stay hydrated. * Take the guided tour: The guided tour is a great way to learn more about the history of the prison. I hope you enjoy your visit to Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park!

Nestled in the heart of Yuma, Arizona, Martha's Gardens Date Farm is a delightful oasis that has flourished since its inception in 1990. What began with just 300 Medjool date palms has now expanded to over 8,000 palms sprawling across 130 acres of sun-kissed desert land. This family-owned farm takes pride in managing every aspect of their operation—from growing and harvesting to packaging and selling—ensuring that only the finest Medjool dates reach customers.
Unfortunately we didn't get to go on a tour, but they have a very informative video that plays in the restaurant that you can watch that tells you all about the process of dates from start to finish and you can understand why they're so expensive! We experienced a bacon and date shake and it's the best thing I've ever had in my life!
Becky C — Google review
Went on date date with my husband 😄 cute experience to have and to learn about how dates are grown. They have a video inside the cafe area playing at times so definitely check that out to learn about how dates are grown. Then we got a peanut butter date shake to share and it is super creamy and yummy. Definitely recommend the experience 🥰
Monse S — Google review
The dates in boxes were a little hard. The date shake was great though. Pretty drive out there
Deborah L — Google review
So much fun and educational. The process of growing dates is amazing! The grounds are nice with lots of outdoor seating. Inside they sell dates, of course, and date shakes...DELICIOUS! We actually went back a couple days later and got a bacon date shake. Yum!! Although we didn't eat, they offered sandwiches, and salads, I believe. We will go back next year for sure...at least once.
Lisa R — Google review
Great dates and date shakes. The dates are a little expensive but taste great. Nice patio area to sit while you enjoy your shake
T. K — Google review
Loved visiting a real date farm and learning about growing dates. They have a great video in the back room explaining all about growing dates. We were very sad though when we found out that they could not make us a vegan date shake. They sell many date desserts, but none are vegan. They do have date rolls covered in either walnuts, coconut, pecans, or almonds that are vegan. Also, we bought 55 lbs of dates to bring back to Dallas since we were traveling by car/truck.
Plant D — Google review
A visit here was such a treat! I love dates, and this was the first time I have ever had them so fresh, or seen them actually growing on the trees! Magical! The store is large, well stocked with many choices and varieties. You'll do yourself a terrible disservice if you don't treat yourself to a "date shake" while visting! They will even ship your gifts to friends and family right from the store! I sent some back to VT to my daughter and daughter-in-law law, and they loved them! They even have a cafe there as well! And the date nut bread, is to die for!!

My wife is grew up in San Luis so we go to Yuma County very often. Martha's Garden is is a local treasure to the community. The beautiful hacienda style grounds offer a welcoming ambiance. We enjoyed the bacon date shake, and variety pack of dates. We will be back to visit once it cools down. Keep up the awesome work guys!

Nestled in the heart of Yuma, Arizona, Colorado River State Historic Park offers a fascinating glimpse into the region's military past. Once serving as an army depot, this park showcases a collection of meticulously restored buildings that house exhibits detailing the area's rich history. Visitors can immerse themselves in stories from the 1870s when goods were transported along the Colorado River to support frontier forts.
This historic park is truly a MUST-SEE destination for anyone interested in culture, heritage, or simply experiencing something unique. With a general admission fee of just $10, it offers an incredible value for the amount of history and atmosphere you’ll encounter. You’ll have the option to explore at your own pace, wandering through the grounds, taking in the architecture, and imagining what life was like more than a century ago. Visited on 6/20/24. Place was pretty empty as it was a scorcher that day but my family still enjoyed it! The ranger at the front desk was so helpful and informative! Would love to visit again during cooler weather!

Also known as the quarter master depot. Gives you more history on the Yuma area and the Colorado river. Worth a visit. Can walk through it fairly quick. I would do this the same day you do the prison. Both don't take long unless you want it to.

Great place for picnics .. sun bathing .. river water activities .. you can spend an afternoon here .. or while your stay at the hotel .. perhaps taking a walk until your car finish charging

We found this by accident walking the gateway path and it was a great surprise! We paid $10 to get in and learned all about the quartermaster who lived there and how they created the Siphon. I highly recommend checking this out if you are in the area!

Visitors can enjoy various activities such as fishing, swimming, water sports, and picnicking under large pavilions. Clean beach cool water. Easy parking. 100 year old bridges A lot of rail traffic. This place has much history. Museums nearby. Five stars cause it deserves It... not because it's luxury.

Nice place to swim in the river and have a picnic/cookout. There are many nice walking trails along the river.
Pamela K — Google review
Gateway Park sits right on the edge of the Colorado River and feels like Yuma’s front porch. You can walk along the water, dip your feet in, or just sit back and watch the river roll by. The bridge overhead gives it a bit of character, and the sound of the water mixed with the chatter of families and travelers makes it feel alive. It’s a great spot to cool off, especially when the weather hits that summer heat. There’s plenty of shade, picnic tables, and trails that stretch out along the river. You’ll see locals fishing, kids splashing, and people just slowing down for a bit. What I love most about Gateway Park is how it ties the town to the river. It’s simple, calm, and real, the kind of place that reminds you why the desert and the water belong together. Grateful Traveler’s Note 🌿

Took my One year old daughter to the park and she has the best time. Her love for Nature grows more and more as we play and run through the open field. She loves to gaze upon the big trees that are scattered throughout the park. Weather is getting much cooler so the fun times are definitely rolling!
Dallas B — Google review
This is by far a gym in Yuma. It almost doesn’t seem like it belongs here with the beautiful part of the river running through it, all the greenery, a hiking or biking path, playground, and lots of places to have a picnic by the water. I heard that you can even fish here. For sunsets it’s to die for. I really love this park. The only thing that sets me off our dog owners with their dogs off the leash. Be considerate and keep your leashed, even if it’s a friendly dog we need to always have our dogs on a leash.
Rena G — Google review
Great place to get out of the heat and play in the water with shade. We really had a great time. It was pretty clean. We got there at 12pm and found parking easily. Cars were circling when we left at 3pm. The current wasn't too bad and we were able to float down the river and walk back in the water against the current without too much a hard time. We will definitely be back.
Jennifer B — Google review
We were on a road trip and stopped in Yuma for lunch. We have only been to Yuma to get a quick bite to eat or get gas. We decided to drop by this park just to walk around before a long drive home. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to see the Colorado River view. There was a playground and picnic tables. There was a large group of young adults swimming and jumping off a rope by the bridge. Looks like a fun place to hang out and it’s free.

The Camel Farm in Yuma is a unique petting zoo that specializes in breeding one-humped camels. The Saihati Camel Farm is home to over 40 different species and 200 exotic animals, all living in spacious fenced enclosures where visitors can interact with them. For a small admission fee, guests can hand-feed friendly camels, zebras, donkeys, and ostriches using specially provided food.
I highly recommend! The best petting zoo I've ever been to. $8 admission and $1 or more for food to feed the animals depending on what you pick. All of the animals are friendly and you can hand feed the camels, zebras, donkey's, ostrich. If you hold out food to the big camel he will open his big slobbery mouth so you can throw food into it. So funny! The girl that works there was amazing. She opened the gate so I could feed the cow which was awesome. Her dad wasn't the friendly type however, but he wasn't hanging around too much. Don't pass up this place!
Heather M — Google review
This is a fun little farm that has a variety of animals you can touch and feed. There are two types of feed cups you can purchase $1 alfalfa pellets and $2 dates. They have a small toddler climber the kids can play on. Picnic tables are available if you bring lunch. The gift shop does sale soda and candy for a small fee. I'm not sure if they have bathrooms for public.
Jennifer T — Google review
Super cute place! $24 got 2 adults, a toddler and a bucket of treats for the animals. It was so hot we only stayed for about 30 mins but thought it was fun. We will come back in cooler months for sure! We were hesitant due to another review of being closed, but they were open and told us they close for the summer due to the heat. Check their Facebook page for actual times and updates. 😉

Very fun place to go and enjoy time with the family. The kids and I love feeding the animals. It's near to be able to get that close to them and interact safely. I would suggest going early since there isn't a bunch of shade.

Z Fun Factory is a sprawling destination that offers an array of exciting activities for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy thrilling rides on bumper cars and go-karts, test their skills on one of two 18-hole mini-golf courses, and have fun playing various arcade games. Additionally, there is a water park where kids can splash around and cool off. The entertainment center also features pool tables and batting cages for additional enjoyment.
Came in with the family to watch some football, have a couple of beers and play pool. Very cool atmosphere, everything was decked out in Christmas attire. Arcade looked fun and my niece really enjoyed it. Played pool with my sister and that was cool, only $10 an hour. The rest of my family sat at the bar enjoying the tv and beer. We had a really super sweet bartender who was very nice and helpful and didn’t catch her name but she gave us amazing customer service. Would definitely be back for the go karts and food.
Francisco D — Google review
I took my daughter here for a fun night together. We did have fun but the overall feel of the place was run down and dingy. The go-karts were in working order and we enjoyed racing but even though the rules were posted in several places (and clearly explained by the attendant) someone kept ramming into our kart throughout the race but the attendant did not address the racer. This left my daughter and me frustrated but not enough to ruin our time. The lady who sold us our tickets was helpful but not super friendly but the gentleman who helped us redeem the tokens for a prize was very nice and patient. Overall, not incredibly impressed but there isn't much else going on in Yuma so we may go back at some point.

We visited Z Fun Factory in Yuma during a quick family getaway — and what a fantastic experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the energy was vibrant and the fun was non-stop. Our kids had the best time of their summer exploring the water park, go-karts, mini golf, and arcade. The place is so well designed for families — safe, clean, and packed with activities for all ages. Staff were helpful, and everything was well-maintained. It’s the kind of place where kids burn energy, parents can relax, and memories are made effortlessly. Highly recommended for families visiting Yuma. Whether it's a day trip or a weekend stay, Z Fun Factory is a must-visit spot for endless smiles. We didn't try any food options here, but something is available. Thank you for such a joyful time — we’ll be back again!

Went to the Fun Factory with some friends to go on the go carts. Ernesto was amazing and very professional. It was our first time there and he explained everything very well. It was a great way to end the night and we will definitely be going back again with our kiddos.

Just left fun factory and whoever you guys have working the arcade area is a not at all welcome or helpful. We explained to her that we needed help with a machine and she didn't bother to listen to what happened she just stored over there, but by the time she fixed the balls my time had finished. So I still wanted able to play. Also when we went to collect our prices she ignored us while she typed something on the computer.

We had a super fun night playing mini golf ⛳️ The mini golf courses are pretty unique and lots of cool things to look 👀 at!! Great for friends and taking the family! We ordered some drinks from the bar, which we were able to take with us to play the course! The drinks were tasty. 🙌😋 4/5 ⭐️s because a lot of grass needs to be replaced and it kept messing up our swings 🥴😪 Peep 👀 the photos!

The other part is designated for 5 to 12 year olds but my 2 year old navigated it just fine. The castle has a big slide in it. There are swings, a sand pit with 2 diggers, and a zip line. There are bathrooms nearby.

Wow. This is a beautiful park. So creative and fun. Clean and expansive. Plan to spend the whole day and take it all in. Bring a $ incase ice cream man comes or a pop up vendor with amazing 🌮. Or a 🧺 basket and eat by the beautiful lake just a few steps away in the wetlands park. This park is settled into another park and you can bounce between them. Children are entertained for hours. And parents too if you got a kid inside. Zip-lines to the west of the park are a fun stop too! ⚠️🚸parents be alert 🚨 it’s only draw back is your not gonna be able to keep track of where your child is. It is surrounded by a fence with a bottle neck entrance. I suggest staying near the entrance or bring some adult back up so they can’t leave without you seeing.

Situated in Gateway Park, Pivot Point Plaza is a historic park denoting the exact location where the initial train reached Arizona in 1877. This park preserves a swing bridge that enabled the passage of boats and includes a concrete pivot. Additionally, an antique Baldwin steam locomotive from 1907 can be found on-site. Located east of the Hilton Garden hotel, this marked a significant period when Yuma was connected through the railway system.
Pivot Point is to the east of the Hilton Garden hotel. This was an important time for the US when the railroad came through Yuma starting in 1877 and the the signs around the locomotive explain some of the details. its a beautiful spot and you can walk into the locomotive and view the controls. Its an easy walk to the west to see the Colorado River Visitors Center. There is a staircase down to the wetlands from this site.

Waaay cool public plaza. The train is awesome, the placards with the history is awesome, the landscaping is relaxing and vibrant. Nice job Yuma!

The information signs are faded but legible and informative. The train is cool and you can go inside the cab. I don’t know where you are supposed to park. The parking lot says it is for the conference center only. There was no one there so we parked in it. You probably won’t be there more than 20 minutes max.

Bar & grill
Lutes Casino is a historic and quirky American restaurant located in downtown Yuma. It has been a popular dining and drinking spot since the 1940s, housed in a building dating back to 1901. Despite its name, it's not a traditional casino but rather an eclectic bar and restaurant with unique decor. The menu features classic All-American fare such as towering burgers with a secret-recipe hot sauce, chicken wings, tacos, and cold craft brews.
Such a cool place. I love bars like this. Rustic and very popular with the locals. No it is not a Casino despite the name. Beer is cold and a great atmosphere. Games in the back for kids. Street parking and jn the back. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life.
Anthony M — Google review
To be clear, it isn't a casino anymore, it's a restaurant. Food was below average to me and a little overpriced. The only food I'd recommend is the jalapeño poppers. Service was OK, I did speak to one of the cooks who seemed super friendly. There is dining inside and I saw outside tables. The decor included lots of butts boobs and baseball among other things. There is a small arcade. I didn't like the flavor of the hot dogs. Side dishes such as french fries cost extra. I found it interesting the kitchen was in front and dining is behind the kitchen. Could host a large group here.

My Mother and I popped on for lunch; The food was great; had the wedge Salad and it was huge, like almost 1/2 head of lettuce. The dressing was a fantastic chunky bleu cheese and fresh cooked bacon bits (generous amount). Very crisp and refreshing. My Mom had the Reuben and remarked that it was very good, used actual Pastrami instead of deli corned beef. The service was great, it wasn’t busy so she was very attentive. I felt the prices were very reasonable considering the excellent fresh quality and exceptional service. Will definitely return and recommend!

Enjoyed it. Server was cool and friendly. Food was good. Kids were entertained. I like places with some history. Lots of fried stuff, I had the burger with a dog on it and it was solid. Wholesome spot to visit on a 115 degree day in Yuma.
Ryan B — Google review
I've tried Lutes Casino twice, and both times my food had issues. The first time, my meat entree was piping hot on the outside and frozen on the inside. Not good. The second time, they got my order completely wrong. Everyone else had finished eating by the time my food was remade correctly. So on the food side, I don't recommend. On the atmosphere side, I don't recommend for families with younger children. There are pictures on the walls of the restaurant with nudes. I discovered this on my first trip to Lutes. I had been told that it was a great family restaurant, but I don't think a "family" restaurant should have nude pictures on the walls. It was all my young kids could talk about for the entire meal. I went back a second time for a work lunch, but was completely disappointed by the food. I'll not be going back. Sorry.
Sarah C — Google review
Everything was great!!! The only reason I gave four stars in service is because when we ordered our food, my dish came literally 10 minutes after everyone else. Other than the food being awesome, the entire place is covered in history; newspaper articles, "art" pieces, and a whole bunch of memorabilia. The place gets packed quite quickly. The empty pic is what I ordered 🤣

Brewpub
Located in downtown Yuma, Prison Hill Brewing Company is the city's sole microbrewery offering a variety of craft beers with a prison-themed twist. The industrial-chic tavern serves up its own handmade brews alongside other domestic and imported lagers and ales. The family-friendly establishment features menu items creatively named to fit the theme, such as Stripped Yard Bird and Convict Cobb.
A fun, eclectic place to hang out and enjoy with friends. I ordered the fried avocado’s for an appetizer and they were a great twist on an already delicious food. I then ordered the Phil Steak which is also a twist on a favorite. However the sandwich immediately fell apart after picking it for the first time (the only reason for not getting 5-stars). The tri-tip was succulent, juicy and absolutely delicious. A spot worth checking out in downtown.
Jeremy Z — Google review
Great outdoor sitting area when the weather is nice. This brewery has delicious cocktails, our favorite was the hibiscus mule I believe that’s the name. Food was fresh but greasy? If that makes any sense. My burger had the “fried avocado” and so did our sampler but the sampler fried avocado was mostly the breading and a tiny tiny slice of avocado, it didn’t taste that great. When we were served, I had to ask for the sauces for our sampler since they had forgotten it, it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Bathrooms were very clean and Parking Lot was at the back of the restaurant but lots of parking spots. Service was good considering it was busy and our server was very nice. Nice downtown Yuma view if you’re seated in the outdoor dining area.

We chose this restaurant because of its high ratings on the Bring Fido app. The patio is indeed dog-friendly. The food and beer are so good! We had sandwiches, the Wrecker and Warden's Wrath. Both delish.

Love this place!! We will not go through Yuma without stopping here. The food is so good and the beer is cold. We have tried many of their food items and have not come across anything that was not delicious. This time I tried their Chicken and Waffles and was not disappointed - it was so good! If you are in the area you have to try this place!
Kat M — Google review
Great beer, even if we had to ask for a cold glass. The Amber was my favorite and the Vatos Locos was very interesting and worth a taste. We also had the sampler platter, and Brisket Elote bowl. The fried avocado was very good. The Elote bowl was good, although the brisket was a little dry. Definitely worth thw stop.
Patrick M — Google review
The outdoor sitting area was nice, although the table was dirty and not cleaned when we were seated. We tried the summer drinks and sampler. Drinks were good, and the fried avocados on the sampler were alright, I would not get them again. Our waiter was really nice, she checked on us often although we were the only table outside.

Menu has a ton of great food choices. I had a side salad with chipotle our ranch and that dressing is crazy delicious. I had the growed up grilled cheese and added avocado. Omg. It was so delicious I ate the whole thing! The spicy coleslaw was good but I didn’t find it spicy at all. We sat at the bar at about 11 am on a Friday and it got super packed about noon.
Christine S — Google review
Food very overpriced. Ordered the Southwest Bandito salad for $17.95. Almost entirely lettuce with a tiny amount of avocado, barely any cheese, small scoop of corn. Not enough dressing. While the ingredients were fresh and tasty it was a huge pile of lettuce with a skimpy amount of anything else . Staff friendly and attentive. The Big House ipa was right up my alley. Would not order this salad again. Not worth the price for sure! A word of caution. A growler is 64 oz and typically sells for $16-18. They sell “howlers” which are 32 oz, as growlers for $18! Double the prices of most custom brewers

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in a charming historical redbrick building that once housed Yuma's Kress department store, Da Boyz Italian Cuisine has been delighting locals and visitors alike since its inception in 2002. This beloved eatery is renowned for its generous family-style portions of pasta and pizza, making it the perfect spot for gatherings. The menu features an array of options, including classic pizzas alongside gourmet creations like the spicy Da Hot Wing pizza topped with chicken and fresh mozzarella.
After having a bad service experience across the street, we had a very nice experience here. We sat at the bar. Alexis was great. Nice, friendly, and very welcoming. We ordered and had our 1st course salad order within 5 minutes. Across the street after 20 minutes, we still did not have our salad order. Our main course of lasagna and ravioli were promptly served, hot and delicious. Large portions and reasonably priced. We will return when back in the area.

Absolutely fabulous!! Great food, very reasonable prices, authentic taste, and fantastic atmosphere. Taken care of from the time we walked in the door. Very attentive wait staff and great selection of food to choose from. The atmosphere is very casual yet elegant at the same time. The bar is an eyecatcher when you walk in. A coworker (from Taiwan) and I had stopped in to have lunch after our coffee and sightseeing walk in the downtown district. We had a few minutes to kill before they opened for business. It was well worth the wait and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place. Great job everyone!!

The place is worth a visit. During our visit it was cool, and we asked to sit outside. The service was very good; they seated us where we wanted. They constantly refilled our drinks, the food was hot and tasty. The pizza was a bit thick, and for my taste, it could have used a little more cheese, but the flavor did not disappoint. The atmosphere was ideal, and the service was always attentive. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Yuma or living nearby. You won’t be disappointed.

Had an awesome meal at Da Boyz Italian Cuisine in Yuma today. We went with the cauliflower crust Mediterranean pizza and it was flat-out delicious. Crispy crust, fresh toppings, and the kind of flavor that makes you stop mid-bite and smile. The staff were great, friendly, fast, and fun, and the whole place has that old-school Italian vibe that just feels good. Lively, warm, and full of character. If you’re in Yuma and craving something real, Da Boyz is the spot. Grateful Traveler’s Note 🌿

What a great spot for a casual and delicious meal! We started with the breadsticks—warm, soft, and perfectly seasoned—great way to kick things off. For our mains, we tried Da Works, Da Greek with jalapeño, and Da BBQ Chicken pizzas. Every one of them was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and cooked just right. The portions were generous—we had plenty to take home, which is always a bonus. Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling our drinks often without us having to ask. Great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more!

He made really great suggestions for food recommendations as well as drinks. He had a really great personality very friendly and inviting. He is perfect for this job. This is our second time eating here and we absolutely love this place the food is remarkable and I can't say anything negative whatsoever even the prices are great we will be back every time we visit yuma. We were charging the car and decided to go for a walk and check out the restaurants in downtown. We didn't have time to do a sit-down, so decided to get a pizza to take home. We only just recently purchased our home in Yuma and we're ALWAYS looking for our perfect pizza spot so we were glad to see this option in our little downtown area. It was pretty good. We weren't committed to it enough to make it our weekly go-to, but we did enjoy it. We didn't venture in very far, just to order and then went back in to pick it up after a quick walk around the little downtown area. There's plenty of outdoor seating and the staff at the front desk was very friendly. The location is perfect if you're in the area. We'll definitely give them a try again. Thank you for reading my review.

Enjoyed a great meal, in a clean and cool environment. Very kid friendly, several games for kids, water park, with mini golf course and bumper cars. I felt I took my grandchildren to a very safe place, that we could enjoy together, AND get cooled down from our Arizona summer heat!

I come here once a summer! Always nice to float the lazy river with drink in hand. The slides are fun too, and getting dumped on by the big pirate bucket. I did burn my feet pretty badly walking on the pavement, and the lifeguards were telling people not to run which I understand but the pavement is dangerously hot. It would be nice if there was a little more shade over the walkways or the lazy river since it is very easy to get sunburned even if wearing sunscreen.

After driving over 2 1/2-hours arrived only to be met at the front desk by a very rude, nonchalant staff that kept repeating if winds are 25 mph or more the water park may be shut down. I heard you the first time!! The staff must have been offended I was redeeming for two guest Get Out passes which I informed immediately it was 3 of us. Do not add your business to get people to come, if you don't want to accept the pass. Terrible engagement and obstacles are unnecessary. After he ask me to redeem the pass which indicated to mark Yes as a function he then lied and acted as if he did not just see me click the redeem button I was so frustrated not that he wanted to see because he lied wasted 30 minutes of our time just for me to have the company to resend the redemption then the team lead comes over offering food as if this is supposed to excite me for the total disrespect and dishonesty of his employee never having him apologize for his lack of service. Yet he lies and says he will look at the cameras and investigate.I believe the Team leader was Joseph while the other employee want to be Eminem with fake gold chains stood around looking like the liar he is!!!! This is awful thank goodness I forgot his name Vanilla want to be ICE. IDK liar to say the least. After wasted time I'm still furious of the total disrespect. Overall the lifeguards were great my son loves water parks I just wish they would filter the lazy pool better it has lots of debris. This place is not huge but a more cozy water park with potential the other staff seem decent. I just won't be going back ever again this could have been our little low key cool place for fun but I won't spend a dime to be disrespected and treated with such humiliation. I will stick to our 6 flags season passes where lines are longer but respect is always and if mistakes are made staff are decent enough to take ownership and simply apologize. Try Hurricane Harbor or Big surf or anywhere but here don't waste your time!

Great place for family and friends but A/C can use some maintenance very muggy. We had my nieces birthday party indoors last weekend in July. I know it's Yuma in July Monsoon season which A/C units should be running tip top. Other than that we always enjoy our visit.
Jacquie E — Google review
My family and I recently visited Waylon's Water Park, and it was an absolute blast! The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, making our experience all the more enjoyable. For those with young children, we highly recommend arriving early and reserving a cabana. This allowed us to have a peaceful lunch and even put our little one down for a nap without feeling cramped by other visitors. Speaking of young children, the park has a designated area just for toddlers, making it a safe and fun environment for everyone. All in all, we were thoroughly impressed with Waylon's Water Park - it truly is an oasis in the middle of the desert.
Joshua L — Google review
The water park is a lot of fun, but I had a frustrating experience at the food stand (not the main restaurant). I asked the girl with pink braces if I could get a combo without the drink and if it’d be cheaper—she said yes, so I ordered two plates of chicken tenders with fries. A few seconds later, I changed my mind and said I only wanted one but she told me refunds weren’t allowed. Then I saw I was charged full price for the fries. For two orders of fries it was almost $20 and when I asked about it, she denied ever saying it would be cheaper. The food itself was plain and definitely overpriced. They didn’t ask if I wanted any of the extra toppings shown in the pictures, which made the menu feel kind of misleading. I didn’t want to hold up the long line behind me in the heat, so I let it go—but the whole thing felt poorly handled.

Roxaboxen Park, inspired by a cherished children's book, offers an open space that fosters imaginative play using rocks and boxes. This park holds great significance in childhood memories, starting with the book itself. It is a place where families can gather and create magical worlds through imaginative play. Children have the freedom to explore their creativity and engage in unstructured play with rocks and boxes, allowing their imaginations to run wild.
As a tourist coming from KY and knowing the backstory of Roxeboxen Park I was thrilled to take my grandchildren's handpainted rocks and place them there for years to come! My sister who lives in Yuma bought them the book so they can read the true story of how Roxeboxen came to be. Lovely place.

Just a short drive from Yuma, the Yuma Conservation Garden is a delightful oasis that beautifully blends education and nature. As you stroll through its enchanting pathways, you'll be surrounded by an impressive collection of desert plants, each thoughtfully labeled to enhance your understanding of the Sonoran Desert's unique ecosystem. This serene sanctuary invites visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature while enjoying the melodic sounds of local birds.
A simple garden (free admin) with a variety of cacti and a pond with fish, turtles and duck you can feed. An awesome family experience.

This cactus and desert plant conservation area is beautiful. The cacti are some of the prettiest I've seen. It's unfortunate that there is so little funding going into it's upkeep. It is a beautiful story of desert plant survival. The palm oasis with the ducks and geese is a fun spot to visit. There are several places to stop and picnic. I encourage everyone interested in desert plants to visit. You'll not be disappointed. Please be generous with your donation.

A lovely place to visit in Yuma! I highly recommend feeding the ducks. It's worth it to buy the food from them for $1-3 (depending on bucket size), especially for families with kids. The tortoise wasn't out because it was a little too hot. The place is in need of a little upkeep and some more financial support to keep paths clear, replace sun-damaged signs and get plants labeled. I plan to add this place to my personal community-support goals.

Despite occasionally running out of baked goods due to their newfound popularity, they are working hard to keep up with demand. The menu features not only a delightful variety of donuts but also scrumptious breakfast burritos and refreshing drinks like matcha with boba and ice blend mocha lattes.
This our favorite donut shop in town. My baby turns 13 tomorrow and he’s not a cake person, but he LOVES these donuts. I just popped in and the service was fast AND the donuts are fresh. Needless to say, he literally couldn’t wait until midnight. Lol. The service here is always great, the staff is friendly, and the donuts are seriously REALLY delicious. I was headed to Duncan because it’s closer and my kid yelled out…. no, get the good ones its my birthday! So be it 🥳🫶🏽

Good donuts, pretty good Mexican food too. Price is a little much for the atmosphere (not for the taste, cuz that's good. Never been disappointed. But the surrounding appearance could use improving. As well as parking lol). And it would be nice if there were more of a selection of toppings or add ins off to the side like a salsa+ bar. But overall still pretty good.

This place is not only a full 100% but times 100 more, at any time or day it is open. DONUTS ARE VERY GOOD!!! For the people from L.A. if you guys tried Randy's Donuts in Inglewood, they are similar!!! Recommend them!! Bobas are 💯💯

I love the donuts at this place! Especially the glazed raised are so soft and tender. But watch your beans guys! Few times I’ve come in, and the beans were very obvious burnt inside my bean burrito.

I have been going to Az D’s since I was a little boy. Got off work and picked up some Donuts and donut holes for Mother’s Day; both my Mom and my lady. The best customer service from the same lovely woman for Eons seems like. Amazing women in the kitchen that make everything to order so its hot and fresh in your hand and out the door! No photos this time, no survivors. Haha

Great donuts and even better breakfast burritos. Service was fast and very friendly. The price of the food was definitely reasonable for the size of the burrito. Only recommendation is that the business do a better job of keeping the restrooms clean. They were comparable to a run down gas station on a very lonely stretch of highway.
Nicholas B — Google review
I like this place and the donuts are amazing, like they are so good. It's just so run down and dirty. I would like this a lot more if it were clean. Also, they're donuts are the best. The boba and things like that, don't get. They're called Arizona Donuts for a reason not Arizona Boba 😂
Meli — Google review
Bigger woman with straight black hair was very rude, has no customer service skills, and didn’t want to give me salsa with my order she says it’s extra even though there’s a paper on the wall saying orders come with 2 salsas. Please teach your employees some customer skills also being nice goes a long way .

Nut store
The Peanut Patch farm, established in the 1940s, took advantage of its sandy soil by cultivating peanuts instead of conventional crops. Over time, they expanded their operations to include a farm stand that offered a wide range of nut products and confections like candies and fudge. As the business grew, so did their variety of gourmet food items. Today, this charming country store has become a popular destination for nut and candy enthusiasts.
Off the beaten path this little store sells every type of fudge, peanut brittle, candy, etc. A must see. A free tour of how peanuts are harvested is available on certain days. There is also a post office at the back to send all your goodies to family and friends.

The store is awesome but the cashier/owner was sarcastic. We brought our service dog in and she the owner barked at us. Our first time in not knowing all the rules. Therefore not spending much because of her. We have a service dog and the woman cashier kicked us out!@@

Such a cute store! They have great ice cream, shakes, and fudge! If you need a thoughtful and AZ inspired gift, this is the place to go!
Kiera R — Google review
Whether you're looking for a gift idea or just enjoy fresh snacks. The Peanut Patch has been around for more than four decades and it's been my go-to spot for fresh peanuts. But, they're known for so much more including their fresh peanut brittle, fudge, yogurt-covered nuts and pretzels and more. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Now, if you're looking to mail out a gift they're a certified U.S. Postal Service location. Save yourself the line.

This park boasts an impressive array of amenities, including a refreshing pool complete with a thrilling water slide, making it perfect for kids seeking adventure. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the well-maintained facilities, which include tennis courts and ample space for baseball or soccer games. The park also features picnic areas shaded by trees, providing the ideal spot to relax with friends or enjoy a meal outdoors.
Great park, nice skate park

Awesome skate park & roller rink, also has volley ball & horseshoe court. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the conditions of the bathrooms. No toilet paper, no soap & the hand dryer didn't work.
Michele W — Google review
I believe this us a soccer field and that is all. No water, no electricity, no restroom, no play area for kids, no stores nearby either. Had to find an opening, most of the gates in fence are closed. Bring your own of everything if hanging out here. Upside: 1) there is plenty of room for Duke to run and play 2) has grass to sit on and shade 🌳 which is impossible to find in Yuma 3) there are picnic tables and a 4) track to 🏃‍♂️ or 🚶‍♀️ Review: T-N-T{Tried-N-True} Score: Tried-N-Failed
Katherine ( — Google review
A large complex with sports fields, play areas, picnic tables in the sun or shade, and plenty of room to run and play. Only reason for minus one star is the feral cats that kept trying to get our food or get into our car. They were relentless. I get that they may be hungry, but I also found it scary. We packed up our food and went to another part of the park to eat in our car undisturbed. Maybe an animal rescue team can help the lil critters? Otherwise a very nice park with trees, shade, and lawns.

Really nice place to go hang out with your friends, play baseball or soccer and etc. For those who like to clear your mind i recommend this place really peaceful. No one bothers you really. If your having a stressful day, take a relief walk here. If you wanna go skate they have a big skate park, if you simply decide your kids should have a break to technology and want to take them to the park heres the place. This park is clean, as of , everytime i came here i havent seen trash tossed around like any other park. Its really nice, i love this park. :)

Joe Henry Memorial Park is a delightful green oasis perfect for family outings and weekend adventures. With its spacious layout, the park features playgrounds, ball fields, and sand volleyball courts that keep kids entertained while adults can unwind under the shade of mature trees. The picnic areas are equipped with large grills and tables, making it an ideal spot for BBQs or special events—just remember to reserve a ramada!
I just had my daughter‘s first birthday at Joe Henry today; besides the wind the party went very well. Everyone had a great time, especially since the city did reconstruct all of the parks in town so it’s really nice and refreshing to have a better looking and operating park to enjoy with friends and family.
Dallas B — Google review
This park is close to my home. I can walk to it. I get off work at 5pm but if I want to enjoy the park I have to go to it early in the day. I don't usually have my grandbabies visiting until after dinner. There are no lights and the park is scary dark after sunset. So I can never take them to the park to play for a bit after dinner. I would have to drive to the castle park but it is always too crowded for my taste and it just takes more effort to get there.
Elizabeth C — Google review
Good open place to take the family out for a weekend BBQ or throw an event. Good open space, got a few jungle gyms and a couple ball fields. If throwing an event or just want to relax, be sure to make a reservation for a ramada.
Manuel M — Google review
I've visited city parks across Arizona, and every so often one comes across a park that seems...just...off. First of all, almost no people can ever be found there, except for Yuma Parks Dept. The playground must have come from the same manufacturer as Play at Hance. It's ultra new and pristine, with native American casino games for kids all throughout, like magic guessing and match 3. The ramadas have huge stone tables, which is unusual as well. The thing that threw me the most wasn't the eerie emptiness, or even the super creepy paintings of children on the restroom, but a supernatural sensation that something was WRONG there. I couldn't breathe right, and it was hotter than Yuma there. Haunted by something evil.

We ordered food to go, very tasty! We had a semi large order and everything was just right. Great customer service...Their salsa bar is very good. The atmosphere seemed good too. We will definitely come back and eat in next time!

Very good tacos - I had the Carne Asada tres tacos combo. The restaurant atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired but the outdoor seating is nice. The salsa options are quite good. Next time I'll have to ask for more chips!

Great food for a good price! The carne asada tacos are just yum! You get a good amount of food which I end up always bringing leftovers each time I go. They also have a outside area to enjoy your food. We have never had a bad experience here in all the years we've gone. They tend to be busy during lunch time like most places but everything is cooked there fresh I think.

Service was wonderful and the food was great too. And there open during breakfast lunch and dinner. On a Sunday! We looked all over trying to find a good taco place. Either the place no longer was in existence or not open until 4 if at all on Sunday. Thanks for a wonderful experience Las Palapas!

Place seems closed. I drove by on 06/21/21 and called them but no one answered and it was about 7:20pm. Today I called again around 6:50pm but no one answered. The hours of operation said they are open until 8:30pm. Maybe it ran out of supplies. Still wanted to get a fish burrito. Its a shame they are not open or hours have not been updated online.

Our first time here and it definitely won't be the last! AWESOME Tri-Tip tacos and the hubby thumbs up his chorizo burrito. The refried beans here are soooo good. The young lady working the counter was very polite, service was great.

NOTHING DID I LIKE ABOUT THESE CROOKS AND CRIMINAL. They are ripping off everyone that goes in by charging a fee if you eat in or if you take out. They don't give a receipt. They also charged us 10 cents more on every item on the hanging menu except for the margarita which they charged a dollar more than on the menu. They had to go to the back to print up a receipt. They don't give them to people so no one notices the over charge. We demanded money back and we only given the full amount back when we said we would just call the police. There were lots of people there ALL overcharged. What a scam! BEWARE OF THESE CROOKS AND CONS! NEVER SAW ANY FOOD.

This vibrant space is designed specifically for young explorers, offering a plethora of hands-on exhibits that spark creativity and engagement. Parents rave about the variety of activities available, from sandboxes to indoor playgrounds, ensuring that children can spend hours immersed in fun and learning.
Love the museum. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I see the staff are always cleaning and putting things in their place and everyone that works there seems happy to be there. It’s a great place to get out of the heat and have your kids enjoy their day. For sure a must visit. Lots of cute photo opportunities too so dress up and take some cute pictures.
Ale L — Google review
The Children’s Museum is fantastic! There’s so many interactive educational tools for kids to enjoy. The museum is always clean and tidy. Staff members were just great answering all my questions. The big exhibit is also very cool!
B G — Google review
We had a great time at Children’s Museum. We spent hours and at every corner, there was something new for him to discover. He loved every moment and didn't want to leave. They offer free parking in the lot in the back, also plenty of street parking . This museum is incredibly kid friendly. There's food inside, but outside food is permitted. It's great for setting up playdates. Highly recommend. They offer discounts to military and EBT card holders. Be sure to take advantage if you do qualify. It's tough keeping kids indoors all day especially during the hot summer. I didn't make a reservation and I paid on-site. I came in during the weekday and we didn't experience difficulties. However,I can see it being popular with heavier foot traffic on the weekend so plan ahead. Regular admission for adults and children ages 1 one years old and up is $8per child / per adult. I hope this helps.

The Children’s Museum of Yuma County is such a fun place for kids! The brand-new indoor playground is fantastic—bright, safe, and full of things for kids to explore and climb. There’s so much to do and discover, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A perfect spot for a family outing!

The Children’s Museum of Yuma is such a wonderful gem in our community! It may be a smaller, locally owned museum, but it’s constantly growing and finding new ways to keep kids engaged and learning through hands-on fun. I really appreciate that they offer sensory-friendly days and times, making it an inclusive space for all children. The staff is amazing. They’re constantly cleaning and making sure each exhibit is reset. Camille always comes up with the most creative crafts and activities that kids absolutely love. It’s the perfect spot for families to play, learn, and explore together.
Elijah C — Google review
Just left the museum a bit ago and my kids keep talking about coming back! Honestly it’s so nice to have a place like this in Yuma especially in this nasty weather. They have so many cool things and different areas for them to do so you could be there all day if you wanted. My little ones loved it 3 and 4, they loved the sandbox and the indoor playground the most but they played everywhere. We met Alex today and she was great with the kids they seem to love her and she was just so awesome and patient. My son kept talking to her and wanted to play with her and it was just nice to go somewhere where you can see how much the staff like their job. The place was super clean, every one seems to follow rules so it was nice to not worry about the kids as much as you would in a public place. Anyways can’t wait to come back.
Belle G — Google review
This is really the only place in the area for little kids to explore , which is why it’s so disappointing. Many of the toys are extremely dirty, worn out, or don’t even work (especially the battery-operated ones). Several play stations are very small or limited, and things like the sandbox and front lobby game have been out of order for a while with no updates or repairs. It just feels like there’s extremely low effort being put into keeping the place clean, fun, or maintained for young children. I really wanted to love this space, especially as a parent looking for safe indoor activities, but it needs some care and improvement to live up to what kids and families deserve.
Maite A — Google review

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Yuma, Desert Lawn Memorial Park offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking to honor their loved ones. This tranquil space is not just about memorialization; it also serves as a reminder of life's important conversations that often go unspoken. During my visit, I was struck by the compassionate and knowledgeable staff who truly understand the emotional weight of planning such arrangements.
The staff at Desert Lawn Memorial Park are wonderful. They are knowledgeable and compassionate. We worked with Kovia Lown and she assisted us with arrangements for my parents . We live out of state and Kovia was helpful and understanding. She responded in a timely manner to my many emails and phone calls. Kovia exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Kovia and Desert Lawn Memorial Park.

My comment is not to incriminate anyone, it's simply for the people after me, to have a better customer service. My husband died March 9, 2025, the final agreement for the tombstone was signed on May 12, 2025, 2 months after his death. Sally is a person who smiles, who takes the time to receive you, who says kind words of condolence, but as for the efficiency of the work, I expected more professionalism. I waited 2 weeks to get the price of the photo. My request was not properly passed on to the person doing the design, which resulted in several returned emails and visits. example; When I said the back of the photo is too black, I'd like it a little lighter, after ten days without news, I phone to hear that we were expecting the return of the tombstone in 3 months, while the final agreement has not been signed. Finally, the back of the photo came back white, although I never said white. When I went to your office to sign, Sally should have known that without the details at the bottom of the blackstone, my signature was not valid. Now the job is done. Thank you

Ms. Kova provided my family with exceptional service during my mother's funeral arrangements, and I would gladly award her the highest rating possible. However, I am compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the cemetery's conditions. The lack of adequate street lighting creates an excessively dark environment at night, which has led to disturbing incidents. Several night visitors, including myself, have witnessed individuals engaging in inappropriate behavior in the darkest areas of the cemetery. This not only shows a profound lack of respect for our departed loved ones but also poses a significant safety concern, especially considering the potential presence of children. I kindly request that immediate action be taken to address this matter and ensure a more respectful and secure environment for all visitors.

No service yet. My mother passed a year ago and instead of her ashes being buried her and her husband had to come home with me. They tried multiple tactics to make me pay $2500.00 I was not suppose too pay. I had to contact the Consumer Cemetary Council to take my case. They were the best! Now the service is scheduled for next month. I will not have to pay the extra money, and they are honoring the original contract they had with my mom. I hate the fact they tried real hard to take advantage of my deceased mother who purchased a plot from them seven years before she passed. I had to give one star to even post my experience otherwise there would have been zero stars.
Sherrie Y — Google review
We visited Desert Lawn on one of our trips to Yuma, we tend to plan vacations, doctors appointments, owning an home even having children but talking about burial is taboo, something we do not talk about. I remember as a 17 yr old teenager been worried about my moms resting place as well as the expense. I was able to talk my mom into purchasing all services about 40 yrs ago. We did the same thing this past weekend with Kovia who was great and very helpful. Kovia made my wife feel comfortable about the whole process, we decided to purchase one of the services that will provide a resting place for my wife, our kids and myself. We highly recommend you do the same and plan ahead.
