We stopped by for a late morning recharge, and it turned into one of those unexpected, slow motion moments where everything just feels right. The coffee? Smooth, rich, and prepared with care like it wanted to be sipped slowly. My cappuccino plus extra shot had the kind of foam you could draw hearts in (so I did, for her). The vibe? Warm. Calm. That European rhythm where nobody is rushing and every table has its own little story. The pastries? Dangerous in the best way. We shared a buttery croissant, which was supposed to be romantic until she stole the last bite.😖 But what made Baristinho really shine? The way it gave us space to just talk, laugh, flirt, get a little lost in each other. I had one of the tastiest cakes of my life “red velvet” over here. Then wanted to eat it with my girlfriend again visited 7 or 8 times in different months however, I could not find it and tried something else each time and in total spent near 120 euros in pursuit of red velvet. Such a disappointment. Please tell me what happened to the red velvet cake? Other than that, the place is quite comfy, love the cups and coffee itself. A bit overpriced compared to Aachen standards but it is a nice place to spoil yourself.

Best Cappuccino in Aachen! They also have a wonderful selection of cold mixed drinks. We had the lox bagel and a Patel de nata, and both were great and very tasty. Lots of outside tables on a busy cobblestone street invite to people watching. The crowd runs a lot more local than the touristy spots close to the dome.

Usually I like it there but lately I notice the younger staff have no idea about social skills in customer service. They look moody and have an attitude. They do not speak politely to customers and act like they are too cool like in high school 😅 it really ruins the vibes. I urge the management to train them in the basics of service industry and cafe culture to keep the atmosphere warm and friendly 🙏🏽

The place is nice, it has several tables both inside and outside. As for the inside, I quite like that it has several scenarios, the tables and chairs are different, there are options to sit and enjoy alone, as well as with a group of more than 6. As for the service, I personally had a good experience, we were served quite fast, but I also noticed that other tables took quite a long time to go. A nice plus is the fact that they offer a menu in English, just by scanning a qr code from the menu in German. The food is quite good, they have many options: breakfast plate, plate with eggs, bagels, pancakes and other pastries that they offer in their display case. I think it is good value for money.

The only bakery in Aachen I know that is open on bank holidays like new near, Pfingsten, easter Mondays. And that with the full selection of products. Fast service, a long queue is no problem.

Unfortunately, this place is all looks and no substance. The presentation is beautiful — everything on display looks like it came straight out of a magazine, and the interior is cozy and inviting. But once you actually try the food, it’s just... average at best. The pastries are bland, the textures uninspired, and even the coffee was forgettable. It feels like they focused more on being Instagrammable than on creating real flavor. Sadly, the only thing that stuck with me was the name — everything else was pretty underwhelming.

We had a cup of coffee and hot chocolate with some breads. It tasted good - also we bought Printen as gift for our family. I saw many flies in the breads section. Coffee was ok-ok, not super tasty. We took many breads, worth 20+ Euro asked for the best bread recommendation. They suggested Butter "Poschweck". As we don't eat eggs, so asked for allergies if it contains eggs. They checked and said no - it's without eggs. We tasted it, also took it to our home. Later, we see that full egg is in ingredient list. I am super unhappy with this.

Super cheap drinks and very cute outdoor area. Got pretty dark at most tables at night, too dark to play cards but not too dark to see your company. Drinks were great, good Lillet Wild Berry and Radler on tap. Service wasn’t amazing, maybe they were short staffed that night?

Just coincidentally found this place. Stopped in for lunch, We asked for two veggie options, the shakshouka and Lauch-Hackfleisch-Suppe. And both were excellent, with nice complex flavors. Surprisingly, it’s the best shakshouka I’ve had in a restaurant thus far. The pictures don’t look too great but u gotta trust me on it XD The vibe of the place is nice and seems to be student oriented. The prices were also very reasonable.

A very cute little cafe worth visiting in Aachen. I visited for a quick breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the taste and quick good service. The Cappuccino and caramel macchiato tasted really good. The croissant with marmalade (jam) was also really delicious and worth tasting. I would recommend making reservations although I was lucky to get a seat without waiting. There is an option to sit outside upon request (great on a sunny day).

Beautiful historical interior and wide range of pastries. Perfect for pie with warm chai latte on an autumn day! I also took home 2 packs of the soft chocolate covered Printen (traditional Aachen cookies) and they are addicting.

We have visited van den Daele Cafe numerous times over the years on our annual Weihnachtsmarkt visit to Aachen, they have never disappointed for service or food. Such a wonderful selection of cakes, and good drinks. If upstairs is open, definitely try to get around the whole building. It's a bit like a rabbit warren and contains loads of interesting ornaments and decorations. Wood panelling and stained glass abound. I've included two pictures from the breakfast menu because I didn't find any in Google, or on their Website. No photos of the cakes because there are already many doing the offerings plenty of justice.

The cakes look very pretty, the shop too. Passionata cake is rich in its passion fruit taste, and I like Bananafladen even more, for the same richness of fruit, not too sweet and good price. Recommend this place if you want to buy a birthday cake or bring a cake to work!

This is a historical and very authentic place. This place has a lot of varieties of desserts. It has a very good location. We tasted a strawberry tart and chocolate eclair and we liked them,maybe the portions can be bigger than this. The servise was also great.

It is also possible to find the traditional rice cake or different adaptations of it. The coffee was nice as well. The decor is quite authentique. The service was nice as well.

Perfect place for summer breakfast. We loved the ambiance, decoration, locationa and the service as well. Such a cute and cozy restaurant l, very photo genic as well. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. About food, cup cake was very good - fresh, moist, and balanced sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered scramble egg with baby spinach and another one with Sujuk, which comes in good quantity. I found the taste was ok. It's not extraordinary good, but it's definitely worth visiting again. We visited the restaurant again and ordered their cupcakes as we wanted to have something sweet and light.we ordered chocolate cup cakes and oreo cup cakes. both are highly recommended. Very soft,moist, and balanced sweet.

Incredible breakfast. We treated ourselves to the Deluxe Breakfast for 2 and it was totally worth it. Delicious scrambled eggs and fruit cups. The homemade jam was stunning. Coffee was great, the service was awesome. Highly recommend for breakfast and/or brunch. We had an Omelette, a Croque Madame, and a Tomato Soup (weird combination but I love tomato soup hahaha). We enjoyed the food and had a great time on a Sunday afternoon. We’re already making plans to come again soon.

I experienced a very racist treatment. I went with my white friend, but they only spoke to him and ignored me the entire time. One of my favorite spots in Aachen. This charming and cozy café is a must-visit for a simple espresso or something sweet (try one of the delicious cakes!). You can choose to sit either outdoors or indoors.

The cafe is on 3 floors so.lots of space. We only had cake and hot chocolate but the sandwiches also looked really good. Friendly staff and 12 different sorts of cake. The cake portions are huge and can easily be shared ...that's if you want too 😉

Nice cafe bar in Aachen, great selection of drinks and Belgian beers. Cozy atmosphere with lots of seating options, sometimes it felt like the tables are too close. During evening it might get crowded and noisy. The great thing about this place is that you can order food from next restaurant and enjoy. You need to make separate payments. Many people are not aware of this as its nicely integrated. Having said that the order might get delayed sometimes. Great place to hangout, recommend!

Beautiful pub in art nouveau style in the center of Aachen. You can order Lebanese food in the restaurant. Quite busy. The Belgian beers have an extra drink menu that must be requested. Better to reserve.

Amazing that you can order food from both the Chinese place and the Lebanese place so everyone can order what they like. It would be nicer if you could pay your drinks by card and if the waiters don’t have to come in the middle of dinner asking to pay because there is a shift change.

Probably everyones favourite because its always full. Atmosphere is the best, drinks are great, you can get food from neighbouring places but eat at the bar. I just keep finding myself coming back with friends. Very friendly waiters too!

The bar is relatively chilled out and has an old school Irish pub sorta vibe. They've got a good collection of Belgian beers and the service is decent as well.

We tried Café Hase three times and each time we had always the same experience (+1). After the order, the drinks come in around 5/10 minutes while for the food it takes around 40 minutes even if there aren't many customers. Due to the relative ease of the preparation of the dishes I ordered I wonder why it takes so much. By the time the food comes the hot beverages are either cold or finished, as per my experience the waiter should ask if to bring everything together as people might not know about the long waiting time. I wrote "+1" because last time, and it will be also the real last time, they simply forgot the order and I guess they never thought why those two people were waiting at a table: we had to remind them. As compensation two slices of bread with few marmelade were brought to us...appreciated, but come on... The food I have to say tastes good, the cakes look delicious, but since I'm not a fan I couldn't try them in first person.

We were 3euros short in cash, when trying to settle the bill we offered Mastercard/visa/maestro card but was told they only take German cards. Asking if we could wire the money (while in the shop) I was directed to the closest ATM (which was out of service). Overall I felt they could handle this a lot better.

For a quick stop this was perfect. Good coffee, excellent snacks (melt cookies), the works. It’s a tiny spot, and the only negative I could find was that they don’t have a toilet- which is a bit weird. But not a real problem. Just a heads up for visitors. Visited on a nice afternoon, small coffee shop with all the right stuff for a hipster hang out, had a very good espresso and drip coffee, Lemon cake and banana bread too. Comes complete with Aeropress and Japanese drip equipment for sale (-; The store has been around since 2016 and has a small pop up shop with a rotating set of merchandise. They sell their own beans and with wood bar tops looking out over a busy little street in Aachen countertops and a bay of corded antique lighting, it has a good atmosphere. A welcome change from your local Starbucks habit that supports the locals. I say try it.

Great flat white 🤤(3.90€), the staff is very friendly and speak English perfectly. They don’t have a lot of things to eat except banana bread, croissants and home made muesli. They also have an outside sitting area. Try out this cosy little coffee place ☕️

A very laid-back café and a hotspot for students in the heart of Aachen. It’s kinda small but super cozy. Really friendly staff, and omg, this red velvet pistachio cheesecake with raspberries was an absolute delight!

Just go and get a waffle. Way better than the over hyped waffle that I got in Belgium. Coffees are also good but I am no expert. The ambience is very cozy with friends outside. The staff is super kind.

Huge let down. Cappuccino is gigantic with an insane amount of milk, it’s a latte at that point. The matcha is super low quality, tastes like water. Everything is expensive and they don’t even have a bathroom. There are signs that say you can’t sit and use the space to work.

We really enjoyed our visit here! The decorations and design are beautiful and extravagant - someone had a fun time choosing the lamps, wallpapers, vases, black disco balls and foliage - and even the cutlery! - to fit together perfectly. 😊 The food was excellent too, really delicious. Great spot for a relaxing coffee break. The coffee was smooth and well-balanced, and the cake selection was delicious! The ambiance is cozy and inviting. They have a lot of options for the cakes, however, the names are missing in display.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this café, although I must say the quality of the food was excellent and the ambiance was lovely. We ordered the “Angebot” (the house special), which included one coffee and a slice of walnut tart. While the coffee was nothing out of the ordinary, the tart was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend it. The only downside was one of the two waitresses serving the upstairs tables, who was extremely rude. She treated me and my mum like prison inmates, barking orders like “Do this, do that.” At one point, I had to call her out on her attitude, and to her credit, she seemed to take the hint and acted a bit friendlier afterwards. The other waitress was quite nice, so it wasn’t all bad—but the initial experience with the rude one was pretty off-putting.

I came here yesterday to buy my friend some small graduation gift and I have had a great experience! I was standing there looking at chocolate option and they offer to help enthusiastically and also offer a slightly cheaper option with a slightly different packaging. We love the ladybug decoration which she also fulfill our wish. We also try the chocolate ourself and it was really nice. I would highly recommend trying the truffel and cappucino. Definitely coming for cakes next time!

If you like mostly cream based cakes, you will like this place. The service is slow and bit unwelcoming. A note, it costs 1€ extra just to sit down and eat. That's too much VAT imo. The cake itself is 3,50(+1€ for sitting down) so 30% almost for just sitting. Other Cafés charge maybe 60 cents max. On top of that the cafe charged 10 cents extra by mistake. Not recommended imo.

This place is mainly known for its desserts and it offers a plethora of them! Right from all sorts of confectioneries to delicious cakes, this is the go-to place in Aachen. If you are craving something sweet or just want to have coffee in a cozy Cafe, this is the spot! I really enjoyed the chocolate cake with fruits on top and coffee. The ambience is beautiful and service is fast. You can pay via card if the bill is more than 10€. A must recommend in the category of cafe's in Aachen :)

The top choice in Aachen for Torten (fancy artisan cakes). Noone does it better than Middelberg, for over 30 years now! Incredible variety in cakes, chocolate truffles, cookies, savory foods (I haven't tried), and many other yummies Back to the Torten, which are the reason I come. Butter cream, white chocolate, Sahne (whipped cream), fruit, coffee, perfectly roasted nuts, all expertly combined and arranged to become works of art in taste and presentation. Check out my pictures - unbelievable. Ambience is modern yet still Aachen medieval charm, and nicely decorated. Service is pleasant and enjoyable - Aachen accent with east European tilt 😂. If only the latte were made with fresh milk instead of H-Milch.

Tasty Gorgonzola ciabatta, with a German Sauvignon Blanc (tasted more like a French Vorvray) and good espresso macchiato… I just missed having a water chaser with my espresso.

Nibbles were nice, small but well-rounded wine selections, and a great time (and tunes!). Service was great but then slow; but overall a great time if you fancy wine and charcuterie.

They were very friendly and offered professional services. All food has excellent standards and is a suitable place to enjoy wine. (However, I hope they make a detailed menu of drinks soon.)

I recently visited this deli and was impressed by the casual yet beautiful interior decor. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious, with an emphasis on quality and origin. The prices are reasonable, however, the selection for vegans is limited. Overall, I highly recommend this deli for those looking for tasty food, but vegans should be aware of the limited options.

Relaxed atmosphere, lovely service and last but not least impeccable ingredient quality. The kind of food where they can not hide, everything needs to be top notch and it is. From the olive oil, to the balsamico, cheese, breads, antipastis and also the coffee. We will be back.

The Spanish wine we had, I don't think a bottle would cost more than three euros in the supermarket. Overall, 35 euros for two glasses of wine and a starter. The starter was good, though. Way too pricey for Aachen and the quality they offer. I will not repeat.

Lovely food, decent prices but it is an insect festival outside. Wouldn’t reserve a table outside again in summer months. Insects land all over the place on our food, in our sauce, on our faces. Ruins the experience.

Fantastic for a brunch here, and also for take away. The ice cream cake is perfect. The types of cakes vary according to the season. The second time I came and it serves cake made with pistachio, the first time was with bramble. I’ve also order the Liqueur-flavored ice cream, it tastes fresh. You can also order some salty dishes.

It is a lovely place to sit, but don’t expect to be served fast. It takes ages for them to show up and take your order; very messy service even when it is not busy.

Great place for people watching and Torten. Especially when you sit outside under the umbrellas, but inside is nice, too. Torten are not quite as good and varied as Middelberg close by, but the ice cream Torten are a special twist you might enjoy. Busy place on a warm day.

We order the top one and two ice cream cakes.They are perfect.The chocolate flavor is very smoothy and not too sweet. The clerk is patient.And the toilet is clean.

She also didn’t even speak English at a place in the heart of the touristy area and at the border with two different countries! Terrible experience, go elsewhere.

The service of the place and the location is excellent. But the food itself it alright, did not feel worth the money. We bought quattro formaggi pasta and a pizza with aubergines and cheese. Pizza was better than the pasta, as the sauce of the pasta was pretty grainy. Also, the ginger ale we ordered felt a bit diluted.

We waited for a long time before someone helped us. Then there was a hair wen the waitress brought out cultery. It was the waitress who had her hair lose. Food was good but after we were done they told us you can only pay with cash, but there was never a sign. Would i recommend this restaurant No!

Italian restaurant, but unfortunately it was a letdown from start to finish. The pasta was barely cooked — more chewy than al dente — and completely lacking in flavor. It honestly tasted like they forgot to season it at all. To make matters worse, they don’t accept credit cards, which is just inconvenient in 2025. The ambiance was just as uninspired — plain decor, no atmosphere, and it felt more like a cafeteria than a cozy Italian spot. Stay away and give your money to a restaurant with ambitions instead!

Food what way too simple , when you know that you can make it better yourself then I believe you are paying too much for it. The prices on the menu card looked interesting but when you see the quantity and quality then it's way too overpriced. Personnel was unfriendly and cherry on the cake , they made us go get some cash at the bank because they didn't accept cards. They should announce this before people order therefore they don't do it , knowing well too well most people like to pay with cards in 2023 .At least give them the choice. I would definitely not recommend this place

We had quite a nice experience in Aachen until we decided to eat something here. Ordered two pizza and a lasagna. Pizza was partially eatable, but lasagna... oh boy - some sour cheese with old pasta cooked at least 5 times and something brown, organic.

Had lunch here. Good food, reasonably priced. Unfortunately the waiter, having read my name on the credit card, thought it would be a good idea to make a stale joke on my surname. (First time in over 60 years in Germany). I thought it would be a good idea to forget the tip and give a two-star review. In all fairness the food deserves five stars.

Top notch. Excellent safe food and attentive friendly customer service. We enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and vegan raspberry cheesecake on both days we were there. I also took some of the cookies home- the almond round cookies with powdered sugar are soft and delicious. Lots of vegan options. Great view of the Cathedral. Very small seating area.

Great gluten-free place with friendly and helpful staff. Gluten-free croissant was perfect, crispy and delicious. Macaroons were delicate and tasty. I also took a roll ("bio blondie") which I also liked.

Very nice selection of pastries and coffee at this local gluten-free, dedicated pastry shop. Was a very pleasant surprise to find in the centre of Aachen. The staff member who helped me was very friendly and kind or overall a five star experience.

We took the macarons home and ate the raspberry chocolate cake and the chocolate truffle cake : they were delicious ! Fluffy, moist, deep on chocolate flavor, the cream is delicate and fresh, I am in love with these ! I can't wait to go back and taste savory delicacies at lunch :)

That is a small and very cute place with super delicious desserts and very healthy food. You could find here as tasty gluten free breads, granola or cookies as incredible sugar free pastries. They also offer mini sandwiches(My favourite is with grilled vegetables) and not sweet pastries, coffee with different types of plant-based milk(almond is superb) or classical milk. So that is a perfect place if you looking for tasty, but also healthy food options or if you want to have high quality service. That is definitely super friendly and helpful team.

Everything is gluten free and delicious! Definitely try the cinnamon rolls and croissants! The cakes are beautiful and delicious as well. For salty options, the ciabatta with olives and cheese breads are awesome!

My main source for Beans for the last 4 years, extremely consistent and great variety! Great roaster, specializing on medium to darker roasts, and it holds it's own against other 3rd wave lighter roasts, you won't be disappointed, you even get a discount for bringing your own container. Also great for a quick cup when out shopping in the area.

Although it is rather a bit overpriced but the coffee is out of this world. You could be smelling the coffee being roasted a mile away when you are in the Pontstraße. They make one of the best flat whites. The man working there (I assume the owner) loves what he does and it is very interesting to talk to him about coffee or culture. I always enjoy going there. I would recommend buying your coffee from there and while at it order some coffee.

After leaving Aachen years ago, moving and living through several countries and cities I am still ordering my coffee from MAQII. It is simply the best coffee I have found so far. Shoutout and many thanks for shipping to the craziest addresses!

This espresso bar offeres completely different thing that we came for. When you like light roasted speciality arabica, this place is not for you.

Nice place to have a breakfast or bagel. Decent salads as well. Friendly service. I liked "green energy" thing (yogurt, juice and green powder) - smooth and tasty. Coffee was good, but I would not call it remarkable (although I have to admit that I probably have a rather high standard).

The super greens smoothie was awesome! Feels great after several hours of traveling and carrying a massive backpack. Came here to prep for an important interview and am happy they had decent connection (better inside). Comfortable feel with relaxing jazz music playing and the staff was friendly and helpful!

Amazing place for those who are looking for a healthy bagel. Something that really caught my eye was the amount of vegan options, which is a nice plus as well. The bagels themselves were tasty but a bit pricey, seen as they weren't that big. Pair one with a big mug of coffee however, and you've got a nice lunch at a decent price. Definitely recommended when in Aachen!

Very cosy place with a great and accommodating staff. Almost everybody speaks English without any problem. Had a lunch there and it was really well served and arrived pretty quickly. Delicious bagels, being very well baked, and great vegetarian options. The coffee was good, better than I was expecting actually, and the whole service wasn't too expensive. Would recommend for a quick bite.

Super unfriendly and unbelievable, must read!!!!! I had a very disappointing experience in the bagels and beans branch in Aachen, Kleinmaschierstraße. I am not from Aachen and was just staying there from Saturday to Sunday. On that Saturday, early in the morning at 9 o'clock I was craving for a cappucino and an orange juice and also wanted to eat a bagel, looked around for a nice coffee bar and ended up in bagels and beans. The bar was only filled with a few guests at that time. I sat down at a table for two, looked at the menu and while I was waiting, opened my Macbook to read something. After a short while the man behind the counter approaches me, I thought I could finally order, but it came differently. Very unfriendly, without a good morning or the like, he told me, notebooks are forbidden here on weekends. I, a little surprised, answered, I would like to drink and eat something here. No that does not work, the bar will be completely full in half an hour. I answered again, I want to eat and drink something and I'll be gone in 20 minutes anyway. No, that is not possible. The way this gentleman treated me as a guest alone is completely unacceptable, and he didn't even offer that I could pack my notebook away and then stay. By the way, I'm 40 years old and work in the management of a big company, so I don't look like a student who plans to stay at the bar all day and just eat a Coke. This was the first and certainly the last time I visited one of your stores. I changed the side of the street to a corner bakery, not so fancy and certainly the coffee was not better than it would have been, but they were friendly as hell, so that I drank two cappucinos, read my mails and newspaper and left after 20 mins. I hope this helps to avoid that other future guest are going to be treated this way. Too bad.

This place is my new favorite in Aachen! I was here yesterday and I've only good things to say about it - 1. Ambience - Excellent! This cafe is cozy and loaded with Xmas decorations. The architecture is layered, there are several different spots with different designs, couches, high chairs, bar stools, dinner table etc. The decor and especially the lights are awesome. 2. Food & drinks - Burgers, Pizzas and a wide variety of drinks! I tried their winter special (Hot Aperol) and it's awesome. The crispy chicken burger with fries was delicious too! 3. Service - Excellent! This is a huge cafe although the service is fast and friendly. Really impressive. 4. Pricing - Decent! I ate Burger & Fries with Hot Aperol. Paid around 18€ and I think considering the ambience, service, free WiFi and food quality. It's all worth it. If you're in Aachen, don't miss out on this Cafe. I wish I was paid for writing this, but sadly not haha. Cheers!

A really nice place to have something to eat in the city center, right at the town hall square. We, as not dutch speakers, were kindly attended in english with a menu translated. We tried chicken salad, fajita wrap and some extra fries. I would repeat it all, chicken was soft anda really well cooked and fajita wrap was very tasty. Fries came in a cone with 2 different sauces (bbq and sweet chilly recommended) and felt crunchy. Beer we tried felt bitter than usual but I guess it's because I haven't tried the brand since long ago. Price was 38€, I felt it was worth the price.

The place to be! This café is just perfect, we ate a Frühstück buffet which is amazing with a lot of choice, we also took cocktails (cheap and delicious) and dinner, I would rate it 10 stars if I could. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend it!

We ended up here for breakfast by referral and we were very happy. The all you can eat buffet was €12 (apparently €10 on weekdays) and very standard and complete with cheeses, cold cuts, bread, orange juice, dessert and so. The place gets quite busy quite fast.

The restaurant and cafe are at a great location. The food is also fresh and tasty but it is quite expensive. We went there to eat, totally famished, after an hour of swim in nearby Schwimmhalle Süd and it is not an economical choice if you are crazy hungry like us. 😜 we ordered bagels(one with smoked salmon and another with Serrano Ham) a cappucino and a hot chocolate-the bill was almost 16€. It was nowhere close to filling and one can get a whole plate of pasta for that money at a moderate restaurant.

I have ordered the scrambled eggs with pork; it was quickly served; however, it tuck me long at first before somebody showed up to take my order!

The breakfast menu was really interesting. The menu names are based on famous cities and represent the kind of food eaten in those countries. I tried the 'New York' menu and was impressed! The lunch and evening menus looked equally good. The service was equally good and personal quite friendly. I will definitely come back for more.

We visited this cafe for brunch during our stay in Aachen. The food was delicious and the place offers a lot of brunch options, from savory to sweet. I ordered Egg Benedict and what I really liked is that they used whole wheat bread rather than white muffins. Other than that, the coffee is on the stronger side which I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind. Rather busy for a Thursday morning so I recommend coming in early during summer days.

The place is really crowded on a Sunday. The food is definitely decent, coffee can be of better quality. We had the flat white, nevertheless tasted more like blend cappuccino.

The breakfast for two was excellent, with the cheese and chutney as standout highlights (you can even buy their chutneys!). The portions are generous, but you can order more at no extra cost if needed. Coffee was very good The service was also great, took them just a few minutes to get our food—they even ask if you prefer your cappuccino stronger or milder. The atmosphere is fantastic, incredibly gemütlich, with a lot of attention to detail in the decor. I’d definitely come back!

I have been to this cafe multiple times. Their breakfast and all in all savory options are really nice. Their coffee is also very good. I was never a fan of their baked goods tho! The cakes I have tried were mediocre which us why I opted for the french toast the other day. But the texture of the french toast felt a lot like pieces of cake. It was dense and heavy. And as for the topping, I was not a fan of having melons, pineapple and apples! I wish they would have stuck with the traditional berries or banana topping... I aslo would have very much appreciated a smaller portion (for a smaller price tag) as I think mist people will find this to be too much to et alone! Long story short, if you visit Leni, enjoy a nice cup of coffee and something like an avocado toast for the best experience ;)

Pour-over coffee was excellent, great to have this option and it was done very well. Cheesecake was good. Staff provided good service and smiled, which is a miracle in this town and worth paying for. Seating is good if you can be near the window, but the dark part of the cafe is dungeon-like, so avoid it, and if you're on your own your seating will be restricted to the smaller tables (which, in my case, were in the "dungeon") or stools. Still, I'll be going back tomorrow for another pour over, it was really good.

We stumbled across this great little spot on our trip to Aachen. It's easy to find and has delicious breakfast! We tried the Heavy Morning and the Eggs Benedict; both were absolutely superb. The Heavy morning is a croissant with scrambled eggs, arugula, tomatoes, avocado and more. The eggs Benedict comes on toast, rather than an English muffin, but still absolutely delish!! Large cappuccinos to wash all that amazing food down is also certainly worth trying; the coffee is quite good. The staff is friendly and super helpful, the store itself is clean and welcoming. Recommend 1,000 times over!! Went back for a second day and was even more impressed. We ordered scrambled eggs with gouda, bacon and onion and could not believe the amount of cheese. YUMMMMM!!! We also ordered the pancakes with mascarpone lemon creme... holy cow, that was so dang delicious!! If you think you like pancakes, you need to order this!! You will not be disappointed. ❤️❤️

Me and my friend tried these following: - Iced Matcha Latte: a bit bland but overall good 3.5/5 - Iced Chai Latte: the syrup is delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste, you can also buy the syrup in store 4/5 - Saftschorle Apfel-Mango: it's a surprise too me how good this is, super refreshing and kinda healthy too 🤣 5/5 - Panini with Avocado, Smoked Salmon and apple onion chutney sauce: looks delicious and taste delicious 5/5 - Passionfruit cheesecake: this is a must try I don't know how the passionfruit flavor and be so thick and so well balanced with the fattyness of the cheesecake

We are Australian’s visiting Aachen for the show jumping at CHIO Aachen. Australia has the best coffee in the world, so our standards are high. I won’t ruin my coffee time with substandard coffee unless there is no other choice, like being in the USA. I’ve drink a fair bit of substandard coffee looking for a good one. Leni’s creates great coffee, I had a flat white. Very close to Australian quality.

Good place to go and have coffee and cake. This time I decided to go for something salty as well and was surprised by this combination of feta, jelly and avocado, was worth the try. The service could improve though, because every time I came here I had to wait long for getting anything.

Everything about this place is just perfect from my perspective. Firstly, the location is spot on! Located near the Dom amidst cosy streets is a beautiful location. The food served here is delicious. We tried cappuccino coffee, Kakao, chocolate cake with mandeln and carrot cake. All of them were very good. The highlights are the cake - chocolate cake with mandeln had an intense chocolate flavour and was very rich in taste. Carrot cake was the highlight for me! Perfect taste! Both Kakao and cappuccino were decent. I would recommend this place for its cool vibe, great taste and perfect for spending quality time. The ambience is perfect if you're looking for a cosy cafe. They also had some Taylor Swift music in the background. Good selection ;)

Very rude and racist! We went to ask for a table and the waitress said that they don’t have any place for more than 4 people. The body language and the tone was impolite. She could have also expressed it in a polite tone. Cannot speak for the food but definitely won’t recommend if they’re so rude!

It was an okay experience. 3.7/5 for the flat white. Good but not the best 4.0/5 for the chocolate cake. Moist, soft but not chocolatey enough for my taste 2/5 for the cinnamon bun. Very and stale but good cinnamon flavour. Probably had something to do with how they store the buns

I visit this place whenever I am in Aachen. Eggs with pumpkin seeds and avocado 🥑 are my favorites. Most if not all ingredients are bio. Great variety of teas.

After I passed by a Döner booth, a fatty asian fry-all you can I luckily stumbled in here. Excellent porridge with fruits and oat milk.

This place is a beautifully designed, friendly staffed cafe, that I would highly recommend for both grabbing a quick coffee and also sitting and eating. It is located in front of the theater of Aachen, and they have outdoor seats with very nice atmosphere. The cappuccino was just amazing. Really tasty. They also sell their own brand of beans. They have a variety of cakes too. The design of the place from the inside is really nice and innovative. If you are beat the city center, and would like to grab a really good coffee, then that is your place.

I ordered a piece of Tiramisu and a cup of cappuccino. I gave 5 stars for Tiramisu. I must say that the Tiramisu really made my jaw drop! The main 3 ingredients are perfectly balanced in this little devil. Particularly the after taste of the liquor! Love it!!

I don’t get the hype, food was ok and filling but nothing special, people working that day came across quite stressed / annoyed (and it was just first hour of opening). Major temporary advantage in the weekend, roadworks in front of the outdoor seating so you don’t have to breathe in exhaust fumes.

Really dissapointed!! I asked for a melone/cocconut and i receveid a dragon one,but as you can see the glass is full with ice😶😏 you have like 10% cocconut water and a bit of really tiny bites of fruit,then the rest is ice,this is what you have here at Starbucks for 7.00€. The tables outside were also not clean,with the beverages from other people still on the table..

Very bad customer service. While picking up my iced matcha latte, I reached for a straw clearly displayed where customers get their orders. Employee "July" actually YELLED at me in front of everyone over taking a STRAW. The entire shop went silent as I was publicly humiliated. Let me be clear: I needed a straw FOR MY DRINK. What else would I need it for? Obviously, July, you hate your job - but screaming at customers and creating public spectacles won't magically get you a better position elsewhere. If basic customer service is too difficult, perhaps hospitality isn't for you. Very rude! Completely unprofessional!

I am asian and don t speak german. Service was horrible due to the bad attitude of staff. Combo menu is a joke. I ordered two times combo set. I only got one set for the correct price. The other set was charged full price. For the rest its not clean. No receipt too. The staff threw it away. Please avoid

Service as cold as this picture! Neither barista looked up as I came to the counter nor did they even say hello, I’ll be right with you. After a minute standing there without anyone bothering to stop their chores and greet me, much less ask what I would like to buy, I left. It’s incredible to me, they are there to, I believe, make money by serving the customers yet these two had no one in line but me, yet felt it more important to stock and dial in the espresso machine than do what a business is open for- making money and possibly even giving customers a positive experience. Way too many coffee shops in Aachen to be ignored in Starbucks.

Decent shop, lots of tables for studies. It gets very crowded sometimes. Coffee quality is decent and you get a good amount of coffee for a steep price. The bakery item is not good. I try to avoid the cakes as they are too sweet. Stuff behaviour is generally good but one time a girl with glasses misbehaved with me.

Usual corporate coffee place with very little and uncomfortable space and furniture. The staff is fast, but the quality of the beverages and especially the food is very low. Looks good but tastes awful. You shouldnt expect much. However, the vibe of the environment is ok for little teamwork projects :)

Beautiful café located directly at the Aachen cathedral, sunny but still quiet enough to relax. Well thought-out selection of coffee specialities and dishes. Friendly and outstandingly attentive service. The pancake with goat cheese is a secret tip and my absolute favourite of hearty dishes. But also the sweet waffles smell delicious. Definitely worth every visit.

Super nice breakfast from 6 am, ready made in the bakery. With omelette, juice, fresh rolls to your taste. Big coffees (not very strong though). Reasonably priced and you certainly have enough for breakfast and even part of your lunch. Very generous slices of cheese and meat. Unfortunately no vegan or vegetarian options, however I got extra salad, tomatoes and cucumber. And the raspberry marmalade is super!

Have been to Kickartz Vaals multiple times. It's always delicious. The system of ordering is a bit confusing for the first time. Price quality is appropriate, even for below €10 you will have a good filling "sandwich". It's worth to go once to this place when visiting Vaals.

The old ladies that work here are very enthusiastic and kind. Even asked me if I would like my tomato mozzarella sandwich heated up. Make sure to take a numbered ticket before you wait in the line.

At first i thought it's only me to whom the service was rude as I am not european looking but after reading reviews apparently lot of people faced it. They are annoyed just by taking your order. I have never had such experience in any other shops in Vaals I went.

I've been in Aachen for a week and tried many cafes, the place makes the best Flat White! There is also a sand pit in front so you can have coffee and watch your children play.

Horribly rude service!!!!! Soviet style no food available!!!! We went there as it seems to be the only cafe in Aachen with some toys (baby/toddler friendly) - it does have the toys. However: the floor is dirty and only stone,there is no place you would want to put down a child that is not walking yet. The waiter was annoyed when we arrived,as he had to interrupt flirting with his gf,and shouted at us "go sit down". He continued to be incredibly rude. They did not have 80percent of what was on the menu(food). He could not offer alternatives but was waiting that we order something simpler,like one of there pastries or cakes that are average,nothing special. This could be a nice place,but they would have to fire their waiter and chef I suppose.

Actually a good place. During my last visit last year, there were many choices for the topping. Couple weeks ago, the choices were extremely reduced. Place is cozy, location is good as well, in the heart of the city Aachen. Note: you can only pay cash!

After multiple visits throughout the year, it becomes obvious that the old guy with twirly mustache intentionally refuses to provide service to some. Although not verbally, but this is repeatedly noticeable through his action. Every time when I walked into this place, he suddenly stopped whatever he's doing at the front and walked towards the shelf behind the shop, even when he's working alone. I was left there, waiting at least twice this month, as far as I recalled. And I had to walk out without buying anything because he wouldn't do his job. Sometimes I got lucky because there's a young lady who does the exact opposite, and I appreciate it. I never expect even an average service from the mustache dude, but this poor thing needs to learn some manners.

The pastries are good and fresh. However, the staff are going to give you the feeling you are not welcome though and they would really rather be somewhere else than working there. Get your quick snack and exchange as few words as possible with them.

Good place to stop for food and coffee, nice sandwiches and freshly made, croissants, cheesecakes. For parking use the supermarket’s parking.Just be careful to pay with euros or non-visa cards, but don’t panic there’s a ATM machine at about 3 minutes walk.

Even though the food is outstanding, the staff needs some trainign on how to treat customers appropriately. It takes them ages to take their eyes of their phones, to make some eye contact with a customer. Luckily there are several MOSS branches near this one.

My soy cappuccino was way too hot. I actually burned my tongue and it tasted watery. We ordered 5 Belgian waffles and it had a weird after taste. My vegetarian friend said it kinda had a bacon kinda taste and I agreed. Didn’t really feel welcoming there and the service was slow.

Good coffee and cake but the manager/owner acts like a dominant witch and treats you like a number. Please get another job if you don’t like it.

Had the Cappucino Italiano which was so-so. Also had the Apricot Cheesecake and it was a 3/5. Lovely ambience and staff, great place to sit back and relax.

We had a lovely lunch at Café Didier. We had a sandwich with salmon and the croque monsieur. The mint tea and warm chocolate completed it. It has great ambiance, helpful and fun staff and we recommend it fully!

A bit pricey, but you get what you paid. Great atmosphere, fast service, and oh so tasty sweets and good coffee. I highly recommend using this place as your coffee+dessert after dining at one of the nearby restaurants. Perfect combo, even on Sunday evenings.

During our Aachen visit, we've stpped by Cafe Didier for a short break - their cakes were delicious!! The interior of the Cafe is beautiful! Outdoor seating are available as well but we chose to sit inside to enjoy the wall paintings. Staff are friendly and service was quick!

It is a very nice place with its location and atmosphere. The desserts are also really delicious. The place has its own nice aesthetic touches that make its ambiance even more beautiful. The service is fast and attentive.

Tempted by good reviews, I tried this cafe. Slight dissapointment. Tartelette (the praline one with kind of biscuit around) tasted like not the fresh one. The outer layer was dry and without real taste. The inner part was far away from any liquid or fresh chocholate filling, it was tasting exactly like the tartelette was left and lying in the cupboard for many hours. It looked definitely better than tasted. I wish to think that I had only bad luck. Eiskaffee was without any fancy additions, just coffee with ice. I was expecting anything more by this cafe. Well. Service medium. Location perfect.

This Cafe just across a nice beautiful park is one of the coziest and friendliest in the city. Excellent to spend a quiet afternoon reading, or catching up with friends or spending time playing bordgames (bring your own or use on of their small selection). I’m personally addicted to the mousse schockolade cake and the lentil soup.

The only special thing about this place it's the price. Because It's really expensive. The service and food they were just ok. Not bad not so good. But the relationship price/food ist not worthy. they don't have any really special food. (In this case just a breakfast) Coffee bread and jelly.

I have ordered scrambled eggs with pork; the food was tasty; it was served with salad, which was nice and well presented however, the portion size is small; so, in case you're hungry, you need to order twice. The waiting time was very long, and the service was average! However, the most surprising thing was the expiration date of the butter! They gave me along with the food, butter, which expires the next day of my visit! I have informed the waitress about that and her answer was even more surprising: she smiled and told me that they know, but I could eat it anyways, because it still has 1 day before expiring! I explained to her that I won't eat it, and she was indifferent! The concerns in here are: a) the waitress's reaction then her indifference. b) when a restaurant still have food, which will expire soon, this could be a sign that food rotation there is stagnant and latent!

The cake was very tasty and the location is good. Interior design is modern and welcoming. However the service could have been better. After clarifying that we needed the menu and would like to have cake, the waitress explained what cakes they offer and took our order. The coffee was unfortunately bitter, but the three cakes we tried were delicious and fresh. We noticed that other guests were allowed inside by just simply holding a mask with a hand in front of their face and the staff did not check whether the guests, us included, had proof of vaccination/recovered/were tested. At the end when we wanted to pay, we overheard the waitress telling the owner that the cakes are 4€ to which he said she can make it 4.30€. Regardless of the reasons behind this, it would be better to be transparent about the pricing, because unfortunately despite the sweet cakes, this left a sour flavor in our mouths. Overall we did not enjoy this experience and will chose another cafe nearby next time.

Fast service. Tasty food. Good location, just in front of the historical thermal water fountain.

They made us move 2 times from our place (so we sat in 3 different places in total), and the second time we had to share a small table with other people. I also had to get off my seat twice and move my chair out of the way to let them pass since the place is very small and it was crowded. The woman that I thought was the owner was not exactly friendly either. Also, you can only pay cash which was an inconvenience. It was a mess so we couldn’t relax at all. It was not a pleasant experience at all.

Great place with wonderful desserts! Service is good despite the crowd and of course the view is great! You can observe many wild birds. Only cash payment is possible. So be prepared. Also, it is not easy to find a place to sit down. Making a reservation beforehand could be useful.

When we arrived after a 23 km hike, we were disappointed to find the cafe closed when it was supposed to be opened. We had planned to have a nice cup of coffee and perhaps a little snack there. As we sat down on the terrace to regain our breath, have a sip of water and enjoy the view, the owner shows up and starts yelling at us in typical German fashion. RAUS! RAUS! I understand that we were on private property, and she had every right to tell us to leave, and we were perfectly willing to leave, but the absolute over the top verbal aggression from this lady was entirely uncalled for. Not a place we will ever visit again, despite the lure of the breathtaking view.

It should be known that there is only 2 cats at the cafe at the time when it was broadcasted for 4 cats. A little bit of false advertising. Tried hard to like this place.

The owner and waitress is very kind and patient with the customers and will share each cat’s story. They only take cash so come prepared. If the cats are feeling shy, she will bring out treats and entice them to interact with the customers.

This Café is absolutely fantastic for a cat lover. Though it is relatively small, it’s a perfect size for 3/4 cats. If the space is too big, probably customers won’t get so close to the cats. But on the other hand, as a customer, we should also understand cats’ behavior and natural habits. So if the cat is not not interactive with humans, it’s very very normal. For me, I personally love looking at cats from a distance. It’s a peaceful moment between you and them. Since it’s a small place, have a little patience with food. Cakes and drinks do not take so much. But for a full dish, it might take quite some time especially during weekends. I only came here for coffee and cake. So service is quite fast. Everything here is just right. I love it very much. The crew and the cat babies are all so lovely.

French breakfast; 17,50€ with 6 slices of baguette , some Rucola with 4 tiny slices cucumbers, 3 spoons jam 4 slices butter, 4 slices of Camembert ( I guess), including 1 cappuccino 🤪🤪! To be honest, it’s too much expensive! Only cash!!! Apple cake (3,90€) was ok Cappuccino was average There were 3 cats, you should always be careful while opening and closing the doors.

There are three cats and they are all so cute, we especially loved Klik, so talkative and soft. The chocolate cake was lovely too. Keep in mind, they only accept cash.

Forget the cats, this is the best price-per-value chocolate cake that I have found in Aachen. The drinks are also really good. I have a pretty severe cat allergy, but never had any issues here. The cats don't really approach people, so don't expect them to be affectionate (but that's just what cats do). But yeah, the chocolate cake is amazing. Good chunk, sweet, (nutty?), etc. It's also vegan! I'm not vegan but that's pretty rare to see. This place is also laptop-friendly.

I have been here multiple times. The location is nice and calm, the cakes are delicious and the coffee is good. I highly recommend it. They have inside seating and outside seating.
