Park
Nature & Parks
East Park, located in Kingston Upon Hull, England, is the city's largest green space spanning over 50 hectares. Established in 1887, it offers a variety of family-friendly attractions such as animal enclosures, a boating lake with pedalos, and a fun waterchute. The park hosts major events like the Lord Mayor's Parade and Hull Motor Show. Visitors can explore the adventure playground, visit the Animal Education Centre or enjoy afternoon tea at the Pavilion cafe.
What a fantastic park for a day out. Kids can fish in the lake, there's a mini zoo with a fantastic aviary, playing fields, playground ,toilets, café even pedalos and a water chute. Its a pity that the paddling pools are always closed.

We visit this park quite often. My kids love the variety of things to do here ☺️ Usually we take a ball and frisbee onto the big field or they'll bring their scooters to scoot round. The play park can get busy especially on nice days and school hols but when it's not too busy it's good for the kids to go on. We used to visit the animals when my kids were younger, they liked talking to the parrots. The splash park is a big hit with us , the kids love going in there! The only downside is there are no opening times anywhere for it. Online it says it's closed for the season but doesn't say when it reopens :( the cafe is good, has lots of vegan options although some are not always available. My hubby has got some great pics here of the wildlife, especially the squirrels 🐿️. His page is Ravenscape Photography 📸 found on Facebook and Instagram.

This is a great and wonderful place with lots of recreational, historic and fun filled activities for people of all ages including children and adults alike. Very nice large public park in east Hull, off Holderness Road. The library in the cafe was open and always open with lots of educational and resourceful books there. Friendly staff with conducive environments. There were beautiful water fountains in front and back of the cafe with reasonable priced wonderful food and drinks in the cafes; available public toilets facilities were also there. A very nice place of relaxation. There were lots of free events and activities to enjoy especially for kids ranging from playgrounds, gymnastics, relaxing areas, land events like football fields, and other sports, etc., together with the wonderful animal rescue area(zoos) where you can see parrots, wallaby, llama, goats, peacocks, guinea pigs and various other animals. There were also lots of paid events and activities which were readily available; though, little bits on high side for the price (£3 per token per person per ride). You can get discount if you buy 8 tokens for £21 or 12 tokens for £30. All tickets purchases from the office there. You can use those tokens for train rides, bouncing castles, swans pedalo’s rides, colourful beautiful carousel rides, etc. There is also live horse riding racing for £3 each ride and an amazing boat splashes rides for £2 each ride. The fishing lakes were also located in the arena for fishing activities if it interest you. There were lots of free crafting activities and animals education going on at the animal education centre located in the park between 10:30am to 2pm Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays this summer. Great experience. There were lots of free parking spaces in and around the park with most prominent via Woodford sports centre carpark. The playground has lots of most modern and fantastic play equipment for children which spread across children of all ages, eg. climbing frames, swings, etc. There were always something to do in the playground and environs. In fact, my kids loved the park. The train will take you round the park where you see lots of lovely scenery in the park. You can also walk around yourself and explore the entire area. The bridge viewing point and cave pathway were also amazing 🤩. You can walk your dogs around the park. Some places, you can free your dogs; some other places, you must put them on leashes and lastly, some restricted areas for dogs like playgrounds. There were wheelchair entrances and wheelchair accessibility areas all around the park including wheelchair accessible roundabouts, large seated swings, and accessible changing and toilet facilities for wheelchair users. There were several art instillations and gardens which were eye catching such Star Gardens, The Maze & Village Gardens, mini golf, etc., with other amazing wildlife. The squirrels were very tamed and friendly. They can feed out of your palm if you have some monkey nuts with you. The lake and aviary area were beautiful with lots of amazing and wonderful wetland birds.

A great place to spend an hour or two with your family. Plenty of attractions, animals and birds, rides and even fishing!

A lovely spacious park, the best in the town. Spacious, nice and cosy. There are also a playground, library and jungles.

Really great venue for a outdoor concert. Park is neat and tidy, spacious and easy to get to. We left our car at the hotel as the bus drops to you right outside the park gates. It was a lovely atmosphere and we had a great time!

What a great park , such a shame the kids water play area wasn't in operation 😔.. lovely cafe , parking, next to leisure centre, boating lake and activities. Great and well worth a visit if in the area.

Pub
Sutton Fields in Hull is a charming pub that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Nestled within an industrial estate, it boasts a welcoming atmosphere complemented by friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home. The pub features an impressive selection of hand-pulled cask ales, making it a haven for beer enthusiasts. With its lively ambiance, Sutton Fields is the perfect spot to catch live sports or enjoy some entertainment with friends.
Always come here if we are in the area, the food is great and well worth the money. Staff and atmosphere is great.

We pop in here in between shopping for a catch-up. I've only ordered soft drinks, no food. It's always been clean. Polite staff. Reasonably priced. I've never been here in the evening, so I can't comment on the atmosphere for those times, but during the day, it's quite a relaxing atmosphere.
Maria E — Google review
So disappointed normally pop in for quick tea but won’t be going back for the forseable my starter came out with half the ingredients missing then it came out rock hard was garlic bread had to send back again then my main came with the wrong peas didn’t want to complain again, then I was literally ill ten minutes after eating. So god knows what the chef was doing. The bar staff was helpful and polite and did give my son a dessert on the house. However unfortunately it had massively put me off.

Food always lovely here. Dawn the barmaid, and the other staff are always helpful and attentive and they cant do enough for you. They are all a hard working bunch and like family.

Took about half hour before we got our meals x4. Quiet around noon but was busier around 1pm. Nice seating areas and friendly staff.
Jennifer ( — Google review
Thursday 19th (yesterday) visit. Well a abysmal experience compared to my last review. I don't know what happened here - lack of staff, lack of training, maybe both. But here goes. My wife & I popped in at about 7pm. So it was quiet. A few drinkers, some playing pool and 2 sitting outside. First thing I noticed was about half a dozen tables that hadn't been cleared, some outside some in. So sat down. Looked at menu and proceded to bar to order. Wife wanted a chicken burger, no gherkins and with a mac n cheese topping. That was OK. I wanted a beef burger with nduja sausage and jalapeño- nope out of stock, OK the one with monster munch, nope out of stock also, so opted for the one option as other had mango chutney which I don't like. Added breaded and fried mozzarella and jalapeño sticks on the side. We got 2 drinks included. Total £18. So our food arrives and we have no cutlery, waitress dashes off to get some plus the sticks. Took a couple of minutes but ok, food was hot. Well, I had literally half the chips the wife had, however, half of hers were raw !! The burger bun was basic which is OK. However my sauce looked like it had been smeared on with a scraping. The burgers themselves were alright. The sticks though were empty husks. A smear of cheese round the inside and a few minute chippings of jalapeño. These were awful to be fair and at just under 1 pound each, very disappointing. Oh, the table next to us had dirty plates on it and the waitress didn't remove them on her 2 visits to us nor did a check back. The beers are good ads to be expected and there are a range of tvs showing sport dotted around. Overall this has gone down hill compared to my last visit as reviewed below. If this didn't have the extras (live entertainment tvs pool tables and game machines) I'd rate this as 1 STAR. 1 extra star for the facilities. This was 3 years ago: This was a visit from a recommendation. So glad we went. There ate lots of pubs around doing food but rarely does one stand out. Well this one does. It's very clean inside and the plentiful tables were being turned round regularly as well. We both picked a mixed grill with a drink for a tenner. Althougj the played looked small, it had plenty on it. Cooked just right a medium rate steak, spicy sausage, gammon syeak and chicken breast, salad and chips. It was all well seasoned and piping hot. The drinks options were beets under 5%, wine, Cider and jin ! Service wad quick and efficient and our eaitress did a timely check back. Some mixed hrills are stupidly large whereas this was just right. There's loads of parking available and for warmer weather, outside seating. They do a different theme meal deal each weekday & quiz nights etc. There are a couple of pool tables and quite a few games machines dotted around as well as large tvs playing sport. Pleasant background music was playing. Exceptional food, lovely and clean inside, polite friendly staff. Fab well worth a visit.

We have never visited before despite living local & shopping at b & m`s etc but we were pleasantly surprised. Although we were part of a large party of 50 .........& the England world cup match was on the staff were great. Credit to them all, they provided great friendly service with a smile & nothing was too much of problem. If you`re thinking of somewhere to go for a Christmas meal (great menu), a drink or somewhere to eat, we would definitely recommend `Sutton Fields` We all had a brilliant night, thank you so much.
Stephen H — Google review
The Sutton fields is a nice pub on the industrial estate. There is a good range of beers including excellent quality hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. It gets quite busy as it's very popular for food. It's a good place for a game of pool as the tables are away from the main parts of the pub and two dart boards. Nice outside seating area at the front and the back of the pub. Very Friendly staff, plenty of car parking. Dog friendly. Recommended.

The Woodford Leisure Centre is a great place to go for a workout, as it offers many different facilities such as a gym, pool, and slides. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the gym can get quite crowded at times. However, the heating issues in the centre are significant and make it uncomfortable to work out in during warm weather months. Overall though, this is an affordable and well-equipped leisure centre that would be suitable for anyone looking to get some exercise.
Great for people of all ages. Staff are friendly and helpful, whether at the main desk, cafe or poolside. The building is clean and tidied regularly. It has parking available, and an easy for all access entrance. The cafe is reasonably priced and clean. The leisure pool is great for everyone, starting shallow going upto a little over 5ft in depth.
Sadie B — Google review
First time visitors. Traveled from Scunthorpe with high hopes for the leisure pool. Wheelchair user and two carers. We needed the changing spaces facilities which were all in working order. This was just off the reception area. But we had a long walk to the pool using the pool pod chair ( this is very low chair). Had to take wheelchair and belongings with us.... staff weren't very helpful. Just pointed the way. One chap did help guide us in the right direction. Pool looked good.... but a bit tired. Wave machine only came on once and the water was a bit cool. We stayed in as long as we could cope with. Long hike back to the changing room. Floors very slippery Over all not a great experience 😕....who ever plans these facilities obviously doesn't have a clue!!! Why aren't the changing facilities poolside??
Zoe C — Google review
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Woodford Leisure Centre! The leisure pool is perfect for all ages, with warm, clean water and fun features that keep everyone entertained. It’s spacious but still feels safe and well-organized. A special mention goes to the lifeguards, who were incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly. It was making sure everyone was safe while still creating a welcoming and relaxed. In the leisure pool they have waves and slide for everyone to enjoy. The teaching pool at Woodford Leisure Centre is absolutely fantastic! It’s warm, clean, and perfectly designed for beginners for young children and adults. The shallow depth makes it feel very safe and welcoming, which is great for building water confidence. The instructors are friendly, patient, and really know how to make learning fun. I couldn’t recommend it more highly for anyone looking for a great place to start swimming!
Rahma K — Google review
Good place for the local community to play sports at their comfort. Swimming pool, gym, squash and badminton courts available on site. Parking: Plenty of free parking on site. Bus stop: opposite the centre, 2 minutes by walk
Khanz — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and showed racist behavior. My session was canceled at the last minute without any explanation. There are very few sessions for children, the slide is always out of order, and the locker rooms are dirty with a strong smell of urine. Definitely not recommended
Łukasz W — Google review
Recommend 👍 This is a great place to loads of different sports or get food. Parking: free parking for customers but on busy days there is a chance of no available spaces and you have just enough room to manouver to park so wouldn't recommend those who would struggle with that. Swimming: 2 main sections. Main pool + teaching pool (more olympic and standard) and fun pool + toddler pool. The fun pool offers a waterslide, wave-machine (🤯), small kidslide, etc. Gym: decent gym with all that you would need from a gym at a more affordable price to competitors like JD. Unfortunately, during busy times you may have to wait fairly long for a machine or wieghts. Also, when equipment is damaged, it is usually fixed or replaced after a long time. Sports hall: I have booked for badminton and it does the job. Squash: courts available but haven't tried it. Classes: recommended by a few to me.
Jc — Google review
Little boy loved his first time here, staff were helpful and kind. A few things really need refurbishing in the leisure pool and there was an issue going on with the session in the main pool being closed that caused an hour long wait until we could go in the pool session but otherwise a very enjoyable visit, rarely have I seen my 1 year old so confident and ecstatic.
Bunny S — Google review
It's good to be back at Woodford. Still a clean place, helpful staff and updated pool times. Just wish it wasn't so hot in the changing rooms, but then again it'll be too cold in the winter months.

Beverley Road Baths is a restored swimming facility that offers various amenities including a toddler pool, two fitness suites, a steam room, sauna, and aqua fitness classes. It draws in many visitors who appreciate its historical significance and enjoy the social atmosphere provided by the original viewing gallery and excellent changing facilities. However, some find it less suitable for those seeking an uninterrupted lane swimming experience. Despite its age, the baths continue to serve as an awesome place for people to use and enjoy.
Beverley Road Baths underwent refurbishment in 2021 to modernise the facilities and also to conserve the heritage of the building. Most noticeably, the wonderful art nouveau inspired reception and entrance hall. The tiles are a fine testament to the artistic and skilled manufacturing of a period when Britain was at the forefront of design and production. The refurbished swimming pool and new gym are once again giving local people somewhere to enjoy and keep fit. This is the first step in the ongoing and much needed improvement to regeneration and retention of the cultural heritage of Beverley Road. Hull City Council should be congratulated for undertaking this scheme that will undoubtedly improve the area for the people of Hull and attract investment to benefit the city into the future.
Michael R — Google review
I had a year at this gym, almost completely stopped using it near the end of that time due to some of the Male users behaviour, no staff visible, young males not training seemingly just there with their friends, staring at women, making fun of people, playing with their phones and and using the gym equipment as furniture! Rude and intimidating, could be a good gym but it's not stay well clear.
Esther R — Google review
It's not bad, a fairly large swimming pool and then a smaller one for kids. Rather clean and warm and its great if you just wanna swim. Other than that there isn't much else to do in the pool area.
I'm4D3m0n_ — Google review
These swimming baths are so old and quaint. They have no trouble (unlike ennerdale and woodford the modern ones in hull). All staff very good and kept lively and clean.
Gill H — Google review
We attend a postnatal swim class here. The original baths have been maintained perfectly. Always clean and plenty of cubicles. Water could be a little warmer for the babies. My later father learnt to swim here so it's nice that my son is now having his first swims here 💙 The car is round the back with no entrance so it's difficult to carry baby, inflatable and the bag all the way round to get in so I usually park on the road
Samantha K — Google review
Nice pool and lovely building, shame about the facilities. Individual changing cubicles around the pool mean trying get dried and dressed in very high humidity which is extremely uncomfortable. Hairdryer not powerful enough to dry my fringe, never mind the rest of my hair. Signage either tiny and hidden behind things or non existent.
Claire — Google review
Gym review Poorly set up for customers. Constantly changing to accommodate 'ladies only' days which I don't have a problem with but do have a problem with the need for constantly forcing divide. Men have confidence issues too but their voices are ignored. If they carry on the way they are going they'll end up alienating a lot of their core customers
Stephen G — Google review
I'm here for a international choir competition but wanted to continue my triatlon training. Didn't see the timetable for lane swimming but during adult swimming I could also swim laps, it was not too busy. Staff was nice and explained everything because I didn't know where to go. Only downside is that you're not allowed to use pads because of safety.

We went in to pay some money onto our holidays and Lisa and Holly was most welcoming. They all are amazing. But they are the two who dealt with us that day. They made us feel welcome offered us a drink and chatted and did everything they could to deal with our requests as we had a list of queries I feel like I know all of the staff in there. We called in to book our first cruise and get some advice, thankfully Georgina was there to look at all the options and guide us...she even made us a cuppa😁 Fantastic service and first hand knowledge made the booking very simple and stress free - thank you. Highly recommend.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Booked a UK night away through Nicole, absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Nicole was friendly and so accommodating checking through alternative dates I had given her, making sure the hotel choice offered everything we had requested. The stay itself was faultless, a stunning hotel in the perfect location. Massive bonus was the price we paid! Wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay with this TUI store/Nicole. 5* Service 😄

We recently had our wedding in Punta Cana, that was booked through TUI King Edward Street last May. The wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more! There were a few issues along the way regarding the hotel, but all of the staff in store were always so professional, but also personal and understanding to any concerns I raised. I would like to especially thank Rebecca, Emily 2 and Laura in dealing with my complaint. Exceptional service and a credit to the team. Thank you for helping me book my dream wedding, and for being there when I needed you.

Ruby made us feel so comfortable and welcomed while booking our first holiday. We were very stressed about trying to sort everything out but she was able to do literally everything for us and explained it all so clearly. We're so excited for our holiday now and are calm instead of stressed so thankyou :)

We booked a night away in Harrogate via Nicole. Everything surpassed our expectations from the beautiful hotel to the superb TUI service, which made for a truly memorable girls trip. Thanks Nicole, hope to be arranging our next mini adventure very soon! 5* 😁
