Located in Hull, East Yorkshire, The Deep is a stunning aquarium that boasts a diverse collection of marine life. Its modern architecture at Sammy's Point where the Humber Estuary and River Hull meet makes it an impressive sight. Visitors can explore numerous aquariums and enjoy interactive exhibits, audio-visual presentations, and feeding displays by divers.
What an amazing experience!! It exceeded all my expectations; the history, the animals, and the knowledge of everything that existed before humans is truly remarkable. The layout is excellent, ensuring that it doesn't feel crowded or overwhelming in any one area. They have made great provisions for families and those with disabilities, including lifts at all the main routes. There are plenty of small seating areas where you can take a break and let the kids enjoy a snack or drink from your backpack before continuing your adventure through the depths. There are numerous opportunities to interact with the staff, who share fascinating stories about the animals or engage in fun games that help you learn more. You’ll find plenty of restrooms nearby, so you won’t have to trek far to find one. Your tickets are valid for free return visits within the year of purchase. The food at the cafe was fantastic!! The steak pie was out of this world! It truly was a wonderful day out.
Ainsleigh K — Google review
I loved it here! They had so much too offer other than fish ranging from different amphibians and a section dedicated to penguins. They had some many different kinds of marine animals like sharks, jelly fish, fish, and clams. I came here with my little sister and she loved being able to see penguins up so close. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come again.
Connor C — Google review
Brilliant day out for all. We've been going for 13 years since our daughter was 18 months and even now as a teenager she loves it. Animals and information amazing, the café is superb and good value plus the price of a ticket includes as many return trips as you can make in a year. Simply the best!
Simon R — Google review
This place is truly fantastic. Quite pricey for tickets initially but when you factor in that they can be used for a whole year, it means it's amazing value. A great mix of history, geography, geology and biology that would get the most disinterested person interested. So many different animals can be seen and it is obvious that they are all extremely well looked after. The gift shop is very well priced with lovely friendly staff. Would give this place a 100% approval rating!
John K — Google review
Great afternoon, no queues, booked a 1pm slot. Great exhibits, really enjoyed seeing the themed areas. Food & drink averagely priced & plenty of choice. Parked in overflow car park, £4.50 on top of ticket price.
Deborah S — Google review
We had a fantastic time at the deep. Our two kids loved it. It was so good we made use of the yearly pass tickets and went back the following morning. I would like to specially thank Mia who sat and talked our two kids for ages. Telling them all about the fish in the shallow reef tank. You really made the day memorable for them. Thank you so much.
Jake — Google review
Flawless aquarium, provides great info on the evolution of marine life. Also great views of the Humber. Best part is the annual pass so you can visit at anytime for a year. Great gift shop as well (I particularly enjoyed the tracker bracelets.) Will definitely be visiting again.
Jamie W — Google review
Decent aquarium attraction, great that you can visit for a year for free though unfortunately we aren’t local enough to take advantage. Disabled access is superb & it’s also a bonus that parking is free for blue badge holders.

Museums
Ferens Art Gallery in Hull, England, is a renowned cultural destination that recently underwent a major renovation. The gallery houses an extensive collection of European artworks, including pieces by Frans Hals and David Hockney. Families can enjoy the Explore Art gallery on the ground floor, which features a dedicated play space and interactive activities for children. Additionally, visitors can explore contemporary works at the nearby Humber Street Gallery.
Beautiful museum in sunny Hull. Free of charge and no wardrobe or lockers. Nice collection of paintings, especially British artists. Nice exhibition about mermaids.
Carl P — Google review
Wonderfully curated gallery. Only downside was the calm (I think it was called, the upper gallery space) exhibition which had great potential, thwarted by the narrated mindful audio guides insisting that you take a seat when there wasn’t a seat to be found. That and the jet turbine effect noise from the inflatable installation, below the gallery, altogether counteracting the calm.
Matt W — Google review
This was on our to-visit list for our brief visit to Hull. I do find local art galleries interesting, especially as feature local artists and paintings, and this didn't disappoint. Lots of different styles and eras with a large ongoing exhibition of contemporary works. Don't miss the 'calm gallery' on the first floor. Contains a shop and cafe. Free to visit but donations appreciated.
Elizabeth B — Google review
It's a fantastic city Art Gallery with many important works of Art. Especially the Dutch Masters Gallery. Also Marine and contemporary art collections. We worth a visit.
Mr W — Google review
A remarkable collection, beautifully curated. I loved Drapers, "Ulysses and the Sirens" and Fraser's "Blue Seascape". However, there are plenty of other fabulous works that it's easy to send a few hours there. The food in the cafe was excellent, I can't wait to return.
Carol I — Google review
Nice art gallery but brilliant exhibition on for children. Lovely items to play with, dress up and great interactive art installations.
Louise B — Google review
This is a fantastic place with some arresting art. I enjoyed my visit and it is free. Definitely go here when in Hull.
Leaburn — Google review
A wonderful art gallery near Hull city centre, displaying mainly classical works of art. Their is also a children's and modern section, a gift shop and cafe. Entry is free, but I do suggest that you make a donation into one of the gift boxes, so that it can continue to be an asset to the city.

Park
Nature & Parks
East Park, located in Kingston Upon Hull, England, is the city's largest green space spanning over 50 hectares. Established in 1887, it offers a variety of family-friendly attractions such as animal enclosures, a boating lake with pedalos, and a fun waterchute. The park hosts major events like the Lord Mayor's Parade and Hull Motor Show. Visitors can explore the adventure playground, visit the Animal Education Centre or enjoy afternoon tea at the Pavilion cafe.
What a fantastic park for a day out. Kids can fish in the lake, there's a mini zoo with a fantastic aviary, playing fields, playground ,toilets, café even pedalos and a water chute. Its a pity that the paddling pools are always closed.
María G — Google review
We visit this park quite often. My kids love the variety of things to do here ☺️ Usually we take a ball and frisbee onto the big field or they'll bring their scooters to scoot round. The play park can get busy especially on nice days and school hols but when it's not too busy it's good for the kids to go on. We used to visit the animals when my kids were younger, they liked talking to the parrots. The splash park is a big hit with us , the kids love going in there! The only downside is there are no opening times anywhere for it. Online it says it's closed for the season but doesn't say when it reopens :( the cafe is good, has lots of vegan options although some are not always available. My hubby has got some great pics here of the wildlife, especially the squirrels 🐿️. His page is Ravenscape Photography 📸 found on Facebook and Instagram.
Amy R — Google review
This is a great and wonderful place with lots of recreational, historic and fun filled activities for people of all ages including children and adults alike. Very nice large public park in east Hull, off Holderness Road. The library in the cafe was open and always open with lots of educational and resourceful books there. Friendly staff with conducive environments. There were beautiful water fountains in front and back of the cafe with reasonable priced wonderful food and drinks in the cafes; available public toilets facilities were also there. A very nice place of relaxation. There were lots of free events and activities to enjoy especially for kids ranging from playgrounds, gymnastics, relaxing areas, land events like football fields, and other sports, etc., together with the wonderful animal rescue area(zoos) where you can see parrots, wallaby, llama, goats, peacocks, guinea pigs and various other animals. There were also lots of paid events and activities which were readily available; though, little bits on high side for the price (£3 per token per person per ride). You can get discount if you buy 8 tokens for £21 or 12 tokens for £30. All tickets purchases from the office there. You can use those tokens for train rides, bouncing castles, swans pedalo’s rides, colourful beautiful carousel rides, etc. There is also live horse riding racing for £3 each ride and an amazing boat splashes rides for £2 each ride. The fishing lakes were also located in the arena for fishing activities if it interest you. There were lots of free crafting activities and animals education going on at the animal education centre located in the park between 10:30am to 2pm Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays this summer. Great experience. There were lots of free parking spaces in and around the park with most prominent via Woodford sports centre carpark. The playground has lots of most modern and fantastic play equipment for children which spread across children of all ages, eg. climbing frames, swings, etc. There were always something to do in the playground and environs. In fact, my kids loved the park. The train will take you round the park where you see lots of lovely scenery in the park. You can also walk around yourself and explore the entire area. The bridge viewing point and cave pathway were also amazing 🤩. You can walk your dogs around the park. Some places, you can free your dogs; some other places, you must put them on leashes and lastly, some restricted areas for dogs like playgrounds. There were wheelchair entrances and wheelchair accessibility areas all around the park including wheelchair accessible roundabouts, large seated swings, and accessible changing and toilet facilities for wheelchair users. There were several art instillations and gardens which were eye catching such Star Gardens, The Maze & Village Gardens, mini golf, etc., with other amazing wildlife. The squirrels were very tamed and friendly. They can feed out of your palm if you have some monkey nuts with you. The lake and aviary area were beautiful with lots of amazing and wonderful wetland birds.

A great place to spend an hour or two with your family. Plenty of attractions, animals and birds, rides and even fishing!
Paul T — Google review
A lovely spacious park, the best in the town. Spacious, nice and cosy. There are also a playground, library and jungles.
Liubov S — Google review
Really great venue for a outdoor concert. Park is neat and tidy, spacious and easy to get to. We left our car at the hotel as the bus drops to you right outside the park gates. It was a lovely atmosphere and we had a great time!

What a great park , such a shame the kids water play area wasn't in operation 😔.. lovely cafe , parking, next to leisure centre, boating lake and activities. Great and well worth a visit if in the area.

The Streetlife Museum in Hull is a captivating destination for transport enthusiasts. Situated in the Museum Quarter, it offers a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of transportation through six galleries showcasing bicycles, carriages, motorcars, railways, and street life in Northern England. Visitors can explore an array of displays including cycles, cars, horse-drawn carriages, trams, and a simulated 1940s street.
What an amazing place. So we'll designed and lots to see. Can't believe this place is free entry. Deffinatly worth a visit for young and old.
Richard L — Google review
Just like in my home city of Glasgow, museums in Hull are free. I'd so wanted to see their maritime museum, but it's closed for refurbishment, so I'll have to return in the spring. Anyway, there's more than enough to fill a couple of hours at the Streetlife museum. Lots of old transport to see, a nice recreated street scene from the 60's, plus a ride in a Royal Mail coach. Although I have a French (and Spanish) degree, I never knew that 'chauffeur' is the French word for stoker, as in the lackey who fed the fire in the steam-powered cars of the early 1800's. Every day is a learning day, even at 72!
Michael S — Google review
This is free to visit and part of the Hull Museum Quarter. There are several old shop interiors, which have been rescued from throughout the city and these have been recreated into a street scene complete with old trams along with exhibitions of other old transport types such as horse carriages and bicycles. Good for all ages.
Elizabeth B — Google review
Absolutely amazing place, very interactive and free to enter, made a donation of course 🚃
Kellie B — Google review
An absolutely brilliant day out looking around all the museums, the street life has a amazing collection and some very well designed scenes, well worth a visit #History #Hull #Daysout

Iv been taking my grandson to the museum to do the activity sessions in the holiday and he's been loving the crafting sessions that are on at present . The sessions are brilliant and the volunteers and staff have been wonderful and patient with him . He is very shy and nuero divergent so he has trouble interacting with people , they have adapted to his needs and he is always wanting to visit . Beautiful museum.. We love looking round all the displays. Very well presented with things to do to educate both young and old. Well done .

Wilberforce House, located in Hull, is the birthplace of William Wilberforce, a key figure in the movement to abolish the slave trade. The museum offers a comprehensive exploration of Hull's historical and humanitarian legacy through its exhibits, artifacts, and documents. Visitors can delve into the history of slavery with displays focusing on West Africa, plantation life, and the abolition of slavery.
Incredible place where William Wilberforce lived. You can learn so much about this extraordinary figure in history who abolished slavery in England. Lots of information about him and his life, and the work he did to abolish slavery. A great historical site for people to come and see and learn too. There are many preserved documents, manuscripts, attires, and newspaper clips depicting William Wilberforces life and political career. There's lots of information on the transatlantic slave trade, and slavery throughout history too. Well worth a visit! Very informative and enriching.
Flower V — Google review
This forms part of Hull's Museum Quarter and is free to visit. The house is the birthplace of William Wilberforce and was the family home. The ground floor deals with his life and campaign for the abolition of slavery. Moving upto the first floor, the exhibition covers the grime reality of the slave trade so some parts might be unsuitable for younger children, but otherwise very educational for junior aged children and onwards. There are further local themed exhibits at an adjoining house.
Elizabeth B — Google review
Wilberforce House is one of the many amazing places to visit if you want to learn about Hull’s history and in particular the importance of William Wilberforce. It’s a free museum situated in the Museum Quarter in the Old Town and just a short walk from the Minster, the Market and Whitefriargate. The building itself is beautiful with so much information to absorb! I really like the gardens , complete with mulberry trees. At the bottom of the garden it’s possible to look out onto the walkway and the River Hull although it’s no longer possible to go out that way. Right next door is the Streetlife Museum.
Anne S — Google review
Good museum. The upstairs area is more comprehensive with explanations of the history of the slave trade. Good place to go and free to enter.
Leaburn — Google review
This is a fascinating and important museum. It is housed where William Wilberforce was born. It looks at the history of slavery, the abolishon8st moment and the work that still needs to be done.
Karen B — Google review
A really interesting and thought-provoking museum. Very well presented, with obviously some shocking documents and relics of slavery, but the history of the anti- slavery movement was very inspiring and heart-warming. I went back for a second time because there was so much to take in. I didn't take any pics because it didn't seem appropriate.
Roger F — Google review
The house itself is nice enough without being anything outstanding. The information on Wilberforce & the slave trade though makes a visit here a must whilst in Hull.
Toxteth G — Google review
Very informative & some recordings led by the Black folks along with mentions of Black abolitionists. What felt weird for me was the ceremonial mask that was offered to anyone (predominantly kids) to be played with.It was what made it a 3-4 for me. I’ve added a pic of it here. Another thing is little information on Hull’s involvement in the trade of goods made by the enslaved. It was a business & there is definitely more information like the actual numbers of these products. The anti-slavery medallions/coins were very interesting but I was again left with more questions. I think this section could be easily extended. Certain items were romanticising slavery & I didn’t feel like there was enough criticism of that

The Hull & East Riding Museum, located in the cobbled High Street of the Old Town, is a journey through 235 million years of history. It features an Iron Age village, Roman bathhouse with mosaics, Viking treasures and wooden warriors. The museum houses one of England's finest collections of Roman mosaics, including a mosaic floor from a Roman Villa found at Brantingham.
I really like how the museum is set out in time periods from pre-historic to medieval. The finds in the local area were eye opening and insightful. There's a lot of reading, if you're onto that. A bit too much for me. But plenty to look at, including stuff for the kids. Excellent considering it's free to enter.
Deborah H — Google review
Lovely big informative museum! Mammoth replica is a great attraction, as is all of the interactive ‘touch this’ and ‘smell this’ throughout. Wonderfully interesting and unique. I think you’d struggle to entertain children in ALL parts of the museum, but there isn’t a lack of interaction to keep them occupied. Great day out alongside the street life one. Wish they had specialist magnets with the name or something. Gift shop was a bit lacklustre, but i loved the mammoth stuff.
Lucy B — Google review
This is a huge museum in the Old Town of Hull and part of the Museum Quarter. Usually when I am doing the museums this would be my third stops and I would be flagging; today I made a point of this being first. The exhibition is extensive and chock full of artefacts from the local area. Lighting is dim but there is a footpath trail around the site. There are steps and changes of level throughout but there are lifts available. At the front of the museum there is a small gift shop. Entrance is free but donations are invited. Lots of interactive stuff so great for kids. PS It’s free!
Anne S — Google review
From the outside, you don't realise the size of this museum and it is quite a warren of different rooms. This forms part of the Hull museum quarter, with each one being free to visit (but donations appreciated) This is also the Museum of Archaeology so the rooms take you from the dinosaurs to the middle ages but all from a local perspective. I do really enjoy visiting local history museums and I did come away with a greater knowledge and understanding. I was particularly impressed with the Roman mosaics. Good for all age groups and there are lifts for pushchair/disability scooter users.
Elizabeth B — Google review
Highly recommended and free! Lovely gardens with pond, outdoor games. The museum is much larger than I thought and covered a lot. A very fun educational trip out

We specifically searched out free musuems and came across the Musuem Quarter in Hull. Parking was nearby, and wasn't extortionate (though the current road works meant we had to go over a bridge to back on ourselves, but I digress). From the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly and welcoming - happy to allow us big kids to do the trail. Straight away, you walk through to a huge wooly mammoth and the exhibition is a walk through the beginning of time. Really great for kids, really interactive and lots to see. Staff are really friendly and helpful all the way through and a great trail to keep kids entertained! Makes for a great day out and theres a beauitful courtyard, so pack a picnic and enjoy these great (FREE!) museums for a great full day out!

Marina
Hull Waterside & Marina, located in Kingston Upon Hull, England, UK, has been a popular marina for pleasure boats since the 1980s. Situated on the site of the former Railway and Humber Docks, it offers just under 300 berths with one allocated to the museum ship, the Spurn Lightship. The area around Hull Marina is vibrant with numerous cafes, pubs and bars.
Today was the perfect day for exploring the Marina and waterfront; it was relatively warm, barely a breeze and no rain! It’s a while since I’ve been down there so it was lovely to just stroll around looking at boats on the Marina and reading the memorials. Well worth a visit! Edit: I often go into Hull to walk and explore and the Marina and Waterfront are great areas for this. If you’ve never ventured beyond the city centre and shops go down to the Humber-head for The Deep and then just explore. Depending on your route most of it is level and good surfaces. I’ll add more pictures to tempt you to visit!

Although there was some building work making it a bit hard to reach here, once you get here, you are rewarded with a nice marina and riverside with paths you can explore.

Stopped over here a few times now. Staff are really nice. Facilities for boaters are great. The surrounding pubs and restaurants are great too. A fab marina to visit.

Lovely riverside walk, great for dogs (non muddy wander) & kids scooting/cycling. Absolutely glorious today (New Year's Day), & usually lots of nice places open to grab a snack, gifts or meal. Loads of free parking in surrounding streets. Can visit The Deep too!

The beauty of the surroundings was truly awe-inspiring. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere made it the perfect spot for relaxation, especially during summer. Unfortunately, during my visit, the weather was quite chilly, and there was not much activity going on around. Nonetheless, the place still holds its charm and remains an ideal destination for those seeking a serene environment.

Nice place to walk around and relax yourself. This area looks nice and clean. This area suits for chill out when it's a sunny day 😎 🌞. Moreover, there have a lot of statue and street art too.

Amazing food and amazing service by Caitlin. Would highly recommend. Caitlin went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was extremely friendly throughout, even offering to bring my mum’s dessert with a birthday candle for her birthday!
Beth G — Google review
This was my first time trying Zizzi, and while it wasn't unpleasant, I'm not sure I would visit again. Although it was very busy, we got served pretty quickly, and the wait staff were friendly. The menu itself was huge, and had lots of veggie options, which was great. We opted for some very heavy, filled garlic bread starters, which in hindsight I wouldn't do again (especially before a pasta main) as they were extremely stodgy. The pasta I had for mains was unfortunately slightly undercooked and chewy for my taste, but the sauce was creamy and rich with a nice flavour. The huge burrata wa stop much for me, but it would be perfect for anyone who loves this type of cheese. Overall, it was a good choice as we were carb loading, but not sure I'd visit again.

Wow wow wow wow wow First we were greeted by Katie who knew her menu choices off the top of her head - she explained the menu and made recommendations for all pallets. Then there was Kris the sweetest waiter going, he was so polite and his work ethic was second to non, i really wish i could employ him, theyve found themselves a little legend in him. Food was fantastic but certainly Worth a visit just to meet Kris.

Lovely spot in the busy shopping centre. We arrived a few minutes before opening time but staff were very helpful and let us in to be seated anyway. They moved tables around to accommodate us having a large pushchair with us, along with their friendly attitude made eating here very enjoyable and relaxing. Great selection across the whole menu of food and drinks, we opted for the 3 courses for around £22 which is great value. Most restaurants that offer this deal usually have a very restricted choice but we found plenty that we liked on this deal. Drink and food service was very efficient, especially considering we arrived early too. We also thoroughly enjoyed all of our courses, hats off to the chefs. We were given adequate time between each course where the wait staff were great at keeping tables clean and tidy as well as checking in on tables. The whole place including the bathrooms was kept very clean and the decor and general atmosphere of the place was relaxing and inviting. We would definitely return when in the area.

I visited Hull from the US to look up information on ancestors in Hull. I arrived in Hull on Thursday afternoon to discover that it closed at 4:30 and would not reopen until the next Tuesday, after I had left Hull. I had only one hour there and the staff were amazingly helpful, but I could do so little in one hour. I understand that funds are limited and the Centre can only be open part-time; however, I don't understand why they can't offer any evening or weekend hours.

My experience today was not so special. I couldn't find some microfilm and the member of staff found it for me. I then was searching for 2 books which I knew I had taken out of the centre before but again I couldn't find them. The staff member also couldn't find them and I was prepared to go home and come back another day with the relevant details and said so. The member of the staff didn't take this defeat and continued to seek out my books which he eventually found filed on the wrong shelf. Oh, and of course, the information stored in this building is so vital to the history of hull that it could not be replaced. Couple that with helpful and knowledgeable staff, well, what's not to like?

A wonderfully quiet heritage orchard tucked behind a farmyard in the midst of the countryside. There are numerous trails through the surrounding woods and various picnic benches dotted around for a mid-amble lunch. Perfect for short nature walks, as there's a great variety of flora to enjoy. Plus, a decidedly dramatic view of Beverley Minster from the carpark.

A lovely area to walk, I gave 4 stars as the signpost to the main parking area was very unclear. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll (about an hour) with friends, finishing at the nearby Beverley Garden Centre for lunch and Loo's. Accessibility - fairly level grass and country paths. I would suggest wheelchair users download the site map and follow the path towards the Orchard. No toilets. Car Parking (free) - on grassed area, limited parking in a narrow lane at the 2nd entrance. Toilets - none Yorkshire Honey 🍯 have a dedicated (with warning signs) area for their hives and teach bee keeping.

Such a beautiful hidden walk with a variety of things to do and plenty to forage or even if you want to learn to forage. During summer and autumn you will find a choice of apple's, cherries, plums, hawthorn, pears and walnuts. There is also alot of mushrooms to look for but always be careful when checking. The walk it's self in the tree's has a few different paths but during autumn and winter the paths are very covered in parts.

Hull Central Library is overall a great place, but there needs to be better monitoring of the quiet area. While most people are respectful, it can be distracting and frustrating when others ignore the need for silence or whispering and the staff do nothing about it. The library offers excellent additional facilities such as computers, a music and media library, a children's library, and assistance with civil issues like employment and registrations. The staff is lovely and today's visit was wonderful.

The children library is good, has a variety of books and activities for the kids. The library as a whole has no WiFi, so no research work can be done on the PC. Also, they lock their washrooms which is extremely inconvenient. Staff are sometimes too lazy to assist especially nearing closing time.
Kay G — Google review
Awful. If you are lucky enough to find an area that is open, don't even bother to try and connect to the WiFi, it'll stay on for 5 minutes then go off. Also the opening hours are terrible. It should be a wonderful place to go, but it's awful and a waste of money. The best thing is the staff who are wonderful, it's a shame they have to work on such a place

Nice park area for strolling with the pooch . Meerkats and aviary are interesting, had to walk round the outside edge as dogs are not allowed with the fenced area. Still managed to see everything in the aviary. Plenty of areas outside the park to park the car. Little paths lead off in different directions. Letting you discover hidden gems like the small pond. Open grass areas allow freedom for the dogs. Beware though, there is an abundance of wild birds. Lots of young ones at the time we went and the adult birds can become very defensive. Large lake to walk around too. A nice way to spend an hour or so.

I took my 4 year old this morning to the toddler climb and he really enjoyed it 😊 our instructor Ellis (I think) was so kind speaking and really gentle with Isaac. The place itself is fun, but it felt a bit overcrowded when I visited. It was quite hard to find a table, and many were left with empty coffee cups and snack wrappers, which made the space feel untidy. It would be great if the staff could clean up more frequently to keep the area more inviting. Otherwise, a good spot, but some improvements would make the experience much better!

What an absolutely brilliant place for a children's birthday party, the staff are so welcoming & very good at the job they do. It was my little Granddaughter's birthday & with all the apparatus & climbing frames & walls to climb they absolutely loved it. Safety is paramount with the staff so there always looking around or on hand to make sure harnesses are always worn while climbing. They have party rooms upstairs so that when there time is up the room is decked out with loads of different sandwiches & popcorn & jugs of juice there's a big long table full of food that all needs are catered for. People are welcome to bring there own banners & balloons to put up & just adds the the perfect party experience. I would certainly recommend this place if you wantvto see your children enjoy themselves enormously & without the stress of clearing up all the mess.

Let Loose Yorkshire is a fantastic destination for families with kids. The park offers a variety of activities, including the popular squirrel run and an exciting drop slide. While some visitors found the drop slide to be a bit risky, the standard park area provides ample opportunities for children to climb, play in water and sand areas. The on-site cafe is currently expanding its menu to include healthier options. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the impressive tree trunks and high and low ropes course at Let Loose Yorkshire.
Lovely local afternoon out. Prices are really fair and theres plenty to do once your in the park. My Stepson did the Raccoon run and the staff where fantastic with him, I was able to watch him while my one year old ran around. The cafe was lovely and the food was delicious. The staff where extremely friendly and it links into the soft play which is fantastic for little ones.

Fab place to visit with kids. Our children did the squirrel run which they really enjoyed. The drop slide was a bit lethal and 3 out of the 4 all ended up with banged heads and saw numerous other children banging their heads on it. Not all did but just a few too many I thought. But the standard park bit is amazing. So much for them to climb and play on with water and sand play. Cafe not got much choice but they are developing a new menu in may 2022 that will include healthy things like salads etc. So should be a lot better then. We spent 4 hours there so it was good value I thought :)

Fun afternoon out with niece & nephew. Park entry was £7 children, £3 adults & £2 concessions but then add on extras for the different activities. Worked out about £20 for children to go on most things. Lots of standing/sitting around for the adults (unless you want to pay to go on everything also). Everything is made of wood and has an ecofriendly feel. Inside cafe served up food & drinks etc & was reasonably priced. Also had some small tanks nearby which children could drive around a dirt track although we didn’t visit this section.

What a dream of a find, Adventure Play Area that Adults can go on Bouncy Castles, Climbing Walls and overhead walkways, as well as Children of all ages! I got a guided tour. Worth travelling to even if your not in the area. Outdoor and Indoor (The Dome) Adventure Play Areas. I think I saw a Zip Wire and Archery Area near the Car Park Entrance. Supervision of Children - by their accompanying Adults. Accessibility - good, level areas and ramps. Toilet for Disabled and Car Parking close to the entrance for Disabled. Cafe - straight forward menu with items for veggies and vegans. Corporate Events - great for Events and Team Building. Bet they'd do a quirky Wedding if you asked! Special Needs - Wednesday is special needs (music turned down for those on the Autism Spectrum) and specially trained staff. Special needs welcome any time. Environment - a lot of items are recycled or recyclable such as Tables and Chairs in the Cafe, outdoor 'grass' from the training pitch of a famous Footie Club! Cutelry and cups compost down in 12 weeks.... Price - very good, see my pictures and/or their Website for up-to-date openings. Staff - very friendly and helpful. Toilets - converted Shipping Containers behind The Dome, good access path. Winter - swathes of The Dome will be cleared for a Skating (Roller) Rink and Disco. I hope I've remembered most of what I have been told!

We had so much fun here!! I was amazed at how well everything here has been done. The HUGE tree trunks and the high and low ropes course is ACE. You go inside and then outside on the course. I'd never done anything like this before and I loved it!! I had a go on the Big Leap too and it's scarier than it looks!! We did the Super Slide too and it was hilarious seeing everyone shoot out the bottom. We took the little ones too - by 1 yr old, then a three and five year old. They had loads of fun in the sandpit, and going in and out of the hobbit holes. The playground is good, and I can't wait for the soft play to open too. I'm sure this is going to be great for the winter months. Really impressed.
Caroline A — Google review
This place is excellent for all abilities, whether you do the high or low ropes, you can go around the course as many times as you like. However, once your child takes their harness off, they cannot go back up. This may not seem much of a problem until you realise that at the end of the course there are two big ass slides which are used to leave the ropes. So, if you want to go round more than once, save the slides until you want to come down. There are other facilities available such as an indoor inflatable assault course, soft play area and toddler park. An excellent outdoor park and assault course made entirely of reclaimed wood and a little cafe which is quite nice too with rest room facilities, but beware... You CAN NOT take your own food!

Nestled along the Trans Pennine Trail, it offers stunning views of the river and the iconic Humber Bridge in the distance. part of the history of Hull fishermen, has some great spots to try your hand at a bit of river fishing.

Great for a walk, they even have an elevated walkway on top of the warehouses, which is open to the public, and see the ships working. Loved it
Garcia C — Google review
A very nice dock, as Victorian docks go. Ambience is enhanced by various derelict buildings and arrested ships.

The beautiful Queen's Gardens park opened in 1930 and covers just under 4 hectares / 10 acres. It was originally part of the Queen's Dock which was later filled in, giving rise to the garden. The park is located right in the heart of Kingston upon Hull and is a great place to take a break from sightseeing or simply enjoy the flowers and gardens.
HULL PRIDE first visit weird and wonderful costumes if the performers Did not feel awkward or out of place as a straight women was there to show support and enjoy the good food ,drink ,artist and great atmosphere!! Amazing day!

Nice garden area in the centre of Hull. It's based on a old filled in dock and is used for a variety of events, music and food festivals. When not in use for a festival, it's a great place to chill out and enjoy the grass and scenery around during the summer
Shaun B — Google review
Queens garden's hull. A great place to have a picnic on the grass. Flavourz cafe is great for a 99 ice cream and sit in their deckchairs in the sunshine. There is usually some kind of event on. Today there is a German Oktoberfest beet festival. I will be sampling that shortly.
Nick H — Google review
Lovely park with plenty places to sit and take in Hull’s atmosphere! Unfortunately the fountains were getting some maintenance when we visited which is great in the long run but it meant that we couldn’t see them in operation! It needs a bit of a clean too with lots of pigeon poo and feathers over the paths!
Top T — Google review
Haven of peace in Hull city centre, complete with a fountain, two ponds, shady tree-lined path, large lawned area, statue, a modern sculpture, and more sea gulls than you can shake a stick at!
Rachel T — Google review
This a beautiful park in the centre of Hull City. It has evolved in recent years from investment into the City and is changing for the better. I love the flowers by the fountain in the shape of a ship's wheel that set the scene and you can sit and eat. Lots of events occur here too.
Siobhan C — Google review
Lovely area and lots of events on. Well served by buses, car park nearby in Princes Quays and elsewhere n town. Nearby city shops and eateries.
Nerys J — Google review
Beautiful especially at the moment with the flowers blooming. The smell of the flowers is wonderful. Hard to believe it's in a city centre. For a quieter experience if you wonder down away from the fountain towards the statue the park is much more peaceful and you get a lovely view of the top of the city Hall. I visited on a very sunny day as my garden doesn't get any sun and I had a lovely few hours sunbathing and reading my book in a peaceful environment and then wondered 200 yrs or so into the city. Very convenient.

The Seven Seas Fish Trail in Hull is a unique walking trail that leads explorers to discover 41 life-size fish sculptures scattered around the city. From tiny anchovies to a 10-foot ray, these sculptures can be found at major landmarks as well as quieter back streets. The trail offers an opportunity to explore Hull's Old Town and beautiful riverfront, with the chance to pick up a leaflet from the tourist information centre and embark on this engaging adventure.
I have to confess an emotional attachment to this trail. I worked in the marketing department at Seven Seas in the early 1990s when this was set up. My boss at the time was the driving force, and I have such fond memories of my time there and my boss. Walking the trail was such fun to do all these years later on a trip back to Hull. We didn't find them all, but more than enough to make it worthwhile. It's a good 3 hour plus activity, but there are plenty of places for a pitstop. We bumped into several folk doing the trail on the day so it's obviously still popular. I'm lucky enough to have a commemorative brick and a silver anchovy from my time at Seven Seas.
Sean O — Google review
The fish trail is a lot of fun to do. There are all different types of fish and sea creatures to see at various places of interest around the city. It starts in the center of the city goes out passed Hull Minster towards the pier and there are various fish in the pavement around the City ( including a large shark outside a former bank), it's a great way of doing a tour you can buy a map of the fish trail in The Tourist Information Centre.

(Translated by Google) A nice walking route to discover Hull's main attractions. You do this using a route where you follow different fish. Very fun to do and we were able to find almost all the fish. There is a map of the route that you can follow, but also a nice app. (Original) Een leuke wandelroute om de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van Hull te ontdekken. Nestled in the heart of Hull, Pearson Park is a charming Victorian-era oasis that beckons visitors with its delightful offerings. This picturesque park features a vibrant playground perfect for children, an enchanting conservatory greenhouse filled with lush greenery, and a tranquil pond where you can spot graceful birds and enjoy the soothing sounds of fountains. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll or a fun family outing, Pearson Park caters to all ages.
The council have done a first class job, upgrading this park. My kids love it, too. Perfect place to relax, with your lunch and a coffee.
Andrew H — Google review
This is a peaceful and clean park, perfect for walking and unwinding. The surrounding nature offers a calm and refreshing atmosphere. One thing that could improve is the small lake next to the park, as the water has become quite dirty over time. With a little care and attention, this park could become even more beautiful.
Samiullah K — Google review
It was a lovely park that formed part of my rat hunt around Hull. Easy to locate with on street parking. Stunning entrance gate. A fab little cafe (cash only) for a quick cuppa and elevenses, good clean toilets. Hosting a lake, conservatory, and several statues. Perfect for picnics and lots of young people and adults alike enjoying the sun. Popular with dog walkers, too.
Willow T — Google review
Very nice, well kept park. A nice playground, large field and duck pond. Although there have been recent news stories of things going on there later at night/early morning so please be safe and vigilant. Took my nephew and he really enjoyed himself, and we even got an ice cream from the little cafe

I mean, it’s Pearson park… however its a lovely green space perfect for a relaxed day out. With a pond, play area, and plenty of paths for a leisurely walk, it’s great for families, couples, or anyone wanting some fresh air. On sunny days, you can even enjoy an ice cream while taking in the peaceful surroundings.

This is a park, North of the city centre. Between Princes Avenue & Beverley Road. There is plenty of open space, including a pond and a children's park. You will usually find ducks and other wildlife near the pond. Some now seem to reside all year round. The park is great for families or people on their own. It's just a pleasant green area within all the surrounding housing. Accessibility in all directions, to the city centre or to the university campus. Public transportation is frequent.
Cris S — Google review
Really lovely park, well kept with play area, fitness area, basketball hoop, indoor plant area, pond with lots of birds and a bandstand. Nice to relax and spend an hour there, would be a great place to take the kids.
