Nestled in the vibrant heart of Kingston upon Hull, Hull Minster stands as a testament to Gothic architecture and is recognized as England's largest parish church by floor area. Originally known as Holy Trinity Church, it was elevated to Minster status in 2017 due to its rich historical and cultural importance. Dating back to the early 14th century, this magnificent structure showcases exquisite features such as intricate stained glass windows, a remarkable organ—one of the largest in the country—and stunning vaulted ceilings.
I was in Hull completing the Mischief of Rats Sculpture Trail. Having walked into the city via the marina, I couldn't resist a look inside the beautiful Minster. The staff were so welcoming and answered all my questions. I also took the opportunity to have a cuppa and cake at the cafe. I got talking to some lovely ladies here, too. Fabulous facilities here, too. Very clean. This is definitely worth a visit, whether for a reflective moment, prayer, or just simply to admire the architecture and stained glass windows. It had such a lovely feel about it that on another occasion, I would really want to get to a service.

Didn't get chance to climb the tower but had a lovely quiche and wedges in the cafe! All staff seemed kind and knowledgeable, definitely worth a visit

Nice place with a local event going on whilst I was there. I enjoyed walking round.

Today we visited the Hull Minster and paid £7:50 to climb the bell tower. What a great experience. The escorted tour takes about 2 hours, the guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, both about the building and the history of Hull. The stairs are steep but if you are able I recommend you give it a go. Learning about the Bells, the clock mechanisms and the views are amazing too.

Jubilee Church Hull is a vibrant and multi-cultural church located in the heart of Hull. With a long history of serving the community, it offers regular prayers and worship services. The church has a dynamic ambiance that attracts people from neighboring communities to attend its events. Despite not being a regular churchgoer, visitors have praised the venue's acoustics and sound system during events.
Looking for a church family that follows the bible? Then check out Jubilie church. Beautiful church with beautiful people. A church that practices what it preaches. Warm and welcoming- Provides services to the homeless and the vulnerable. From the first time I stepped into Jubilie I was welcomed with open arms.. if you want to know what Jesus’s love looks like then check out Jubilee. X

Jubilee Church is a fantastic place. They have helped me and countless other people in their Christian walk and difficult life issues. Overall, an excellent house of Worship and place to meet with the body of Christ!
Adam N — Google review
Grate place. The provide loads of community support. It's nice to see a church with a social conscience and actively and practically fulfilling that. So many churches just empathise but do nothing to help. Odly enough I was their hosting a magic show and everyone was very helpful.
Barry B — Google review
I'm not religious and hence not a church goer. However, Jubilee hosts more events then church services. I went to see the 'Lil play and it has great acoustics and sound system. I was sat at the back and everything word was clearly audible and a great view of the stage. I'm sure many people walk straight past this building without a clue of what's inside. If you get a chance, have a look, you'll be surprised.
Shaun B — Google review
I absolutely loved it. It is a family church, people are warm and welcoming. The word of God is preached with accuracy.
Chinasa O — Google review
Enjoyed the worship, haven't been able to hear the word , not done during my visits , but , it is a well mixed church with good welfare package, yet to assess the general care to members ( although like most churches , people are usually closer to who they know , not so much to strangers). It is worth given another try .
IJJ S — Google review
Central location in a multi-roomed building that doesn't seem like a church. I went to see Nick Lowe and the two-storey Church hall was a medium sized venue. I was sat at the back of the downstairs and had a great view and close experience. I meant to take a look at the top floor and see the difference in view. I don't know who should get the credit for the well balanced and crisp sound of the music. The pure sound quality was unexpected and Nick Lowe ended the night with a song that was crystalline and effortlessly sung due to the atmospherics of the church hall and the capable sound system. Lastly, alcohol, soft and hot drinks were sold by volunteers staff at reasonable prices with the profit going to a local charity. The Jubilee church hall turned out to be a memorable music venue and well organised set-up.

The Church of St Mary the Virgin in Cottingham has a rich history, dating back to 1327 when it was first mentioned. Initially a chapel-of-ease, it became a parish church in all but name by 1333. The building itself is stunning, with a cross-shaped design and a tower from the 1400s. While the original medieval glass is no longer present, the stained glass windows from the 19th century are equally impressive.
Wonderful historical church. Visiting is a must if you are ever nearby. Stained glass and wooden pews. Truly a beautiful sight.
Katie G — Google review
The grade one listed Cottingham parish church of St Mary the Virgin is a beautiful cross-shaped building. The tower dates from 1400 and the pinnacles added in the 1740s. The original medieval glass is gone and the stained glass windows actually date from the 19th century. The interior is very impressive and the organ was built locally by Fosters of Hull. The grounds around the church are very attractive with some lovely mature trees. It is well worth visiting.

Was very underwhelmed by the welcome we was given, I attended a baptism here and it felt very rushed and unimportant. I am a regular church attender and was shocked at how bored the vicar seemed with it all and how we was rushed in and out, it felt a bit like a cattle market

You wouldn’t have thought Hull would have anything like this, but it’s delightful. Priest and staff were very helpful and friendly - well worth donating.

Very lovely place with an amazing priest, but its always closed for personal prayer especially on days you feel so devastated
Esi D — Google review
Whilst walking around the city exploring various parts, we found ourselves walking past a set of stained glass doors. Being nosey, walked up the steps and were totally blown away. What a hidden gem of a church. Very peaceful and friendly. The ceilings and stained glass is amazing. There's some restoration going on but still beautiful. Lived her for 2 years and didn't know this church existed.

Beautiful church inside after seeing a plain exterior built to a similar design to the ex-brewery buildings around it. The beautiful interior is well worth seeing whether you go to a Mass or just as a visitor
