Nestled in the vibrant Depot Entertainment District of Lubbock, the Buddy Holly Center stands as a tribute to one of rock music's pioneering figures. This cultural gem not only showcases an extensive collection dedicated to Buddy Holly’s life and career but also features personal artifacts, including his iconic horn-rimmed glasses and Fender Stratocaster guitar. Visitors can explore fascinating exhibits that chronicle his journey from a young musician to a legendary star, alongside memorabilia that tells stories of his time.
An amazing experience. Learned more than I ever knew. The guided tour through the Allison house…our Guide, sorry, her name escapes me. She grew up on the Bronx. Thank you for a great experience.

It was closed when we got there but it was really cool seeing his childhood home and reading the history plaques outside the building. Be sure to check out the wall of fame across the street. It's list famous people born inLubbock

For a university museum, it has a lovely design and a good atmosphere. The newly added fossils brought new life to the space. My favorite part was the section about Lubbock’s history, especially the wooden dolls. They were fascinating.

Such a cool little museum. Really enjoyed the exhibits and learning about Buddy Holly’s life. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Had a great experience checking it the Buddy Holly Center! The staff is friendly and the environment is family friendly.

The Buddy Holly Center is a must-see cultural spot in Lubbock! It's important to distinguish between the original Buddy Holly Center(a museum in the Depot Entertainment District) and the new Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences(a major live event venue). A fascinating and well-curated museum that is an absolute must-visit for any music fan to learn about Buddy Holly's short, but world-changing, career and his massive influence on rock and roll history! The Buddy Holly Center is an essential stop in Lubbock. The exhibits are incredibly interesting, featuring genuine artifacts like his iconic glasses and guitars. Don't forget to check out the J.J. Golding house next door and the Buddy Holly statue across the street—it's a perfect blend of music history and local heritage." A highly enjoyable and educational stop in the Depot District! The museum is housed in a nicely refurbished building and offers a captivating look at Buddy Holly's life, complete with memorabilia and a clear timeline of his influence. It's a great experience that honors a Lubbock legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Juanita G — Google review
A small museum with a good collection of artifacts. Though Buddy Holly lived a short life, it was interesting to learn of the influence he had on so many other artists. This was my 2nd time visiting since 2020. Be aware that no pictures of the exhibits are allowed. We visited the Silent Wings Museum first and got half off entry into the Buddy Holly Museum.
Hannah — Google review
This was a very small exhibit. I really expected there to be music celebrating his life. I also thought it would have been great have an exhibit that played the musical influences that led up to his unique style. Most of the exhibit was reading. Very well displayed though.

Nestled in Lubbock, the National Ranching Heritage Center is a captivating museum dedicated to American ranching and frontier life. This outdoor historical park showcases nearly fifty authentic structures that chronicle the evolution of ranching from the 1780s to the 1950s. Visitors can explore everything from charming homesteads to a vintage blacksmith shop, all while learning about the region's rich agricultural history.
This is a great place to spend an afternoon. So much to see & so much to learn- both inside and outside. My husband, 3 kids (13, 10 & 10) and I all enjoyed it! We went on a very windy day, so most of the outside buildings were closed up for protection from the elements, but still lots to see. We will definitely be back on a day it isn’t windy so we can check out the insides of the out buildings.
Alicia A — Google review
This is a phenomenal place to visit! Such great history about ranching. Excellent trail to walk around and view all the different types of housing. Very well kept up. Remember to bring water & a hat with you! No fees to visit but definitely leave a donation 😀
Irene E — Google review
This is one of my family’s favorite places to go in Lubbock. So interesting to see how people used to live back in the day. And see all of the clever ways that they use technology of their day to make home on the plain. Every Christmas time they hire actors to come and celebrate Christmas in the old buildings as it would’ve been celebrated back in the day. They decorate the houses and the cabins up as well with candles and other decorations. It is a very special feeling to go and see
Jordan C — Google review
This place is a hidden gem. Wish we would have visited earlier. The guided tour through the old houses and then the area where the kids can play were phenomenal. And, it’s all free. Our grands loved it. We will go back.
Trey L — Google review
Awesome time with the family. The Hank the cow dog exhibit is definitely a blast for the kids.
Jay-C L — Google review
Outstanding, exceptional and over the top customer service from the staff. My husband has mobility issues and their “tram” was not scheduled to run as we missed it. Staff asked a maintenance gentleman to take us around and he should lead tours! Opened up homes/buildings for us and gave us the 5 star treatment. This museum is amazing and marked the highlight of our time in Lubbock. This one is a must see!
J T — Google review
We came from Odessa Texas, Great place for kids and the whole family. Lots of things to see and learn about Texas roots ranching, a beautiful place, very very clean. My kids and i love it. I will recommend this place to everyone visiting Lubbock. 5-6 hrs or more learning about rancher life and old traditions.
VH X — Google review
I highly recommend this for anyone interested in ranching and farming heritage. We had an amazing time! It was hot outside, but my kids were engaged for hours. The combination of the outdoor and indoor exhibits is so nice. It is like going back in time. And after the outdoor tour, my kids had another round of fun at the Hank the Cowdog exhibit!

The 55-ft dome movie screen at the OMNI Theater presents captivating science and nature films. What a great place to come to bring your children, there are a lot of things to do here. We love the dinosaur 🦕 🦖 exhibit that is located on the main floor, the bottom floor has the teeth, rocks and some dinosaurs, not to mention the aquarium. We just love the aquarium exhibit, there are many fish 🐠 to look at. My son just enjoyed the train set that is located on the upper third floor, that train station has a lot of buildings. If you are looking to take your children somewhere fun to play, I recommend coming here.
Mari A — Google review
I had a great time, its a awesome and fun place to take the family and if your looking to take a friend. The price to get in is great and the atmosphere is nice. Also do they have a dome theater where you can watch cave adventures really epic and fun.
Raymond G — Google review
We had so much fun especially at critter fest! We watched a movie, pet some cows and elephants then explored the rest of the spectrum! My little sister even got to hold a baby lemur! 10/10
Zayla — Google review
We went on a Wednesday while passing through Lubbock. We took our three year olds & they really enjoyed themselves. For one adult & one 3 year old it was $18. Definitely a lot to do, can be overwhelming for some kids. Our girls loved watching all the fish.
Shevon H — Google review
This has been around for quite some time. Brought my children here and now my grandchildren. Enjoyed the extra opportunities and great handsome experience! I hope they update some of the exhibits that were not working.
Samantha M — Google review
If you have younger kids (10 or under) I’m sure it’s fun for them. I took my daughter that is 13 and she was so excited to go back after going many years ago…. but it was really disappointing compared to when we went around 2019. There were a lot of items that weren’t working at all or “kind of” working. If you have younger kids and you’re already in the area, it’s not prohibitively expensive so it’s probably worth going. But if you’re spending a couple of hours to drive there…. I definitely wouldn’t recommend doing that. Also, I’m not even a germaphobe in the slightest but everything you touch there is SO sticky and I would have expected more hand sanitizer spots around the building. I only saw one for the hour and a half we were there.
Brandon B — Google review
We had a fantastic time. Spent about 2 hours with my family while my grandson played and learned how gravity works.

The Silent Wings Museum, located in Lubbock, Texas, is a tribute to the brave pilots of the United States WWII military glider program. The museum is housed in the former airport terminal where 80 percent of these pilots were trained. One of its main attractions is a meticulously restored WACO CG-4A glider suspended from the ceiling, offering visitors a glimpse into the daring missions these pilots undertook.
If youre in Lubbock and into military history/WW2 it's a must see. Best Waco gliders I've seen yet.
Jason W — Google review
Excellent museum learned a lot one thing I would’ve learned I wouldn’t have been a glider pilot
Ray T — Google review
Nice displays, interesting facts, informative and I recommend for all ages!
Beatriz O — Google review
Nice little museum near the airport in Lubbock TX. I learned a lot about the history of glider troup transport in WWII. They have some nice displays of war hardware and small arms pieces. If you are a war history buff, it's well worth a visit.
Ron L — Google review
Wow. Very humbling. The Glider story, if you’re a history guy like myself, and in the area, check it out.
Terry P — Google review
One of the best museums I've been to with informative, well thought out exhibits. This was my 2nd time visiting since 2020. The staff really know their stuff!
Hannah — Google review
I have read quite a bit of WW 2 history, and watched countless WW 2 documentaries, but I didn't know about the glider pilots who braved incredible odds to land troops and materials behind enemy lines using "stealth" technology. This museum pays homage to the unsung heroes of the war, the glider pilot. The museum has quality displays and is packed with lots of information about the glider aspect of the war. Definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Lubbock and are passionate about WW 2 history.
Doug's P — Google review
Very interesting story here...I never knew the US Military had thousands of gliders they used to drop men and supplies behind enemy lines. Why didn't we learn this stuff in school, it would have been a more interesting story than what we were taught? There's one fully restored glider on display in a custom built gallery plus lots of other interesting items. The front of the gliders lifted up allowing transportation of jeeps, bulldozers, and other equipment. We started the visit with a 16 minute film that told the story of these gliders. The museum is located at the old Lubbock Airport terminal. The museum addition includes an incredible glass wall overlooking the new terminal and the runway.

Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark is an archaeological site that provides a 12,000-year historical record. The preserve showcases evidence of human life from millennia ago and offers archeological and historical treasures to explore the cultural significance of the area. Visitors can hike a 3-mile trail to Yellow House Canyon and attend events like Archeology in Action nights where excavation crews work in front of visitors.
Fantastic park with nice views and well maintained trails. There are various birds, jack rabbits, and horned toads around. The museum is very nice with realistic displays. It had lots of interesting information. Most of all the staff was polite and helpful. I highly recommend visiting the park.
Timothy M — Google review
Beautiful trails. Well maintained. Friendly staff encourage you to check in before you hit the trails. Did not visit the museum inside but the trails were great. Various seating available on the wildflower part of the trail. Picnic areas also available near the parking lot. Nature signs throughout. Beautiful area. Free admission.
Leah G — Google review
It's a cool place to visit and learn!! They have a small souvenir shop. I found very cute historic and/or local animals fluffy toys. I bought a small buffalo and it was only 10 bucks!! After learning archeological knowledge from their exhibition, I definitely wanted one with me.
Nami G — Google review
What great little gem. The park is a great place the little one, a great place to stop, learn some of the history of the area and to get outside and stretch your legs. There are several trails to explore, concrete trails that are stroller friendly. There are many large sculpture that are amazing and kid friendly.
David L — Google review
This is a beautiful place to take a walk with (depending on the season) wildflowers and various animals. There are paved and non-paved trail options. Not a ton of shade on the trails besides covered benches, so keep that in mind. The center has a small exhibit area and gift shop, plus restrooms. Just remember to check hours before visiting, especially around holidays.
Naomi K — Google review
A nice little museum that showcases local archeological finds. Thomas really enjoyed it and took time to read all the displays. There are also several nature trails. We took the short archeological trail. We didn't see much archeology but did see a few small animals. The staff were very friendly. Susan (I think) actually went on the hike with us because we arrived early, and the gates were still locked. I think Thomas talked her ear off.
Chris W — Google review
If you come for the scenery or wildlife a bit disappointing. No shade on a hot day so use sunscreen and carry water. The long loop is approximately 3 miles. That aside it is a very easy walk and pretty quiet. Nice little museum that is free to explore. No dogs on trail.
Anna B — Google review
This is one of the few pockets of nature in Lubbock in which you can feel a sense of the landscape's history and beauty. Their trails are just serene and lovely and undisturbed which is rare in a region where agriculture & ranching dominate. We have seen many snakes, tarantulas, hawks & owls. The facilities and exhibits are equally enjoyable. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the people, landscape and animals that once was and shares their knowledge respectfully and kindly.

Prairie Dog Town, located within Mackenzie Park in Lubbock, Texas, has been a popular attraction since 1935. It offers visitors the chance to observe prairie dogs in their natural habitat and learn about these fascinating creatures through interpretive signage. The town is not only a haven for animal lovers but also serves as an educational and conservation site. Visitors can enjoy spending time watching the prairie dogs go about their daily activities and even feed them with carrots.
Had a great time visiting the prairie dogs. My family and I came prepared with carrots and greens and they all loved it. They won't let you come to close but close enough to get some decent photos.
Paul G — Google review
This was a fun random stop! I highly recommend it. Bring carrots or something healthy to feed to these cute little critters. They’re not tame by any means but it’s super fun to listen to them and watch them eat. Pristine dogs are not confined to the little area that was established for them and instead have spread out and taken over the entire park and lots of the surrounding neighborhoods. Definitely worth a stop off if you’re going through Lubbock.
Laurel H — Google review
My husband & I stopped here to check it out. We were definitely surprised to see all the Prairie Dogs! Fascinating little creatures. Take the time to read the placards - great info!
Irene E — Google review
A good way to pass a little time. Easy to get to and park. There were lots of Prairie dogs. We even saw babies. There was a pavilion with shade.
Chris W — Google review
So much fun!! We went 4th of July so a lot of people there setting up to watch fireworks but the prairie dogs were still out and so cute!
Sarah G — Google review
There use to be some seating under the pavilion that is no longer there. We took some seeds to feed the prairie dogs, they enjoyed it!
Cmvecchio — Google review
I love prairie dogs so much! They're such complex creatures who are such an important piece in the ecosystem puzzle. These guys used to be very popular pets in the late 1990s. Since they're wild animals and require a ton of work and knowledge, I ended up being a rescue contact in Houston. So if you come out here to the park, here are some tips! - bring a peace offering! Carrots, green leaf lettuce, fresh yellow corn on the cob (husks can stay on), and Timothy or alfalfa hay like you can get at Petsmart are all good choices. - In Texas, their mating season / torpor begins around Halloween and lasts until Valentine's day or so. During that time, they're less active above ground and will likely be a little grumpy! - If you hear them chattering their teeth and/or flaring out their tail like a bottle brush, give them space, because they're irritated. Their bites are strong enough to go through your fingernail and hit bone on both sides. Not likely, but possible. - Babies are born late March, early April, so time your visit for maximum cuteness - Prairie dogs are ecosystem engineers. They depend on other species as others depend on them. See if you can spot any other species near the mounds, like the burrowing owls who live here full time as well. - Since they're highly communicative with each other, sometimes you can "hack the system" and get a whole coterie to respond to you. Pretend to cough or sneeze. If you're lucky, you'll see them jump up, front legs thrown up in the air, and they'll let out a big "yah-HOOOO" in unison! This might not occur as often at this park just because of the sheer volume of visitors. - Don't forget your camera!
Angela M — Google review
Great little drive through place to see the cuties, maybe have a little picnic.

Nestled in Lubbock, the American Windmill Museum is a captivating destination that celebrates the rich heritage of windmills. This remarkable museum boasts an impressive collection of over 170 meticulously restored windmills, making it the largest of its kind globally. Visitors can explore both indoor and outdoor exhibits, immersing themselves in the fascinating history and technology behind these iconic structures.
The real attraction here was the woman at the desk. Cordial, helpful, apologized when the museum did not meet my esoteric expectations. Still spent over two hours looking at blades and mills. They had trains too, take your Train Kid. Also, take a walk around outside, there are paths to other windmills than these. Also also, the Garrison Flowerdew that is heavily advertised. My one gripe was the visitor center was closed. I came for the Dutch Windmill. What's the big idea? Also also also, buy a postcard, they're cheap cheap, and Desk Woman didn't give me a hard time over the penny I was short, so it came at a discount on top of the already low price. Very niche museum, but a lot of potential here. Would recommend. Will return.
Braulio H — Google review
Great place by vibe and collections. Models of trains, towns, miniature homes, windmills of all kinds and different countries. I learned very interesting things about about windmills I never thought about. Lovely, recommended
Anastasiya S — Google review
We actually learned so much here and would come again (especially with admission being so cheap!)! My favorite was all of the trains, especially the miniature homes and details. It was a fun stop for my family!
Gabrielle G — Google review
Awesome place if you are into history and art. Kids won't care or appreciate the struggle or history, but it is cool if you like old things and history or grew up in 70's-90's or a rancher or farmer. I loved it

Fantastic time with the family! We learned a lot and had fun. Lots to see and do. The staff was wonderful too. Would absolutely recommend.
Kyrsten H — Google review
I'm officially a windmill junky now 🥰 This museum is beyond amazing...I visited during their hosting of the International Windmillers convention this week! So fantastic
Travis H — Google review
There are lots of neat things to see, and a very large collection, it will take a few hours to see and appreciate all the displays with information. The model train displays are massive with well over a thousand cars and trains with intricate models and displays.
Marcus W — Google review
This is not a normal museum! It's really surprising. Not only are there a ton of windmills outside, but there are so many inside the two giant facilities. It's really quite breathtaking. There's also a massive section of miniature dollhouses and scenes and an even bigger section with a fully functioning model train exhibit. The conductor was super friendly, too. There's also one of the biggest murals I've ever seen in my life! It's definitely worth the money and if you have kids, you have to take them. There's so much to look at.

Amazing museum, especially for the entrance price of free. Staff was friendly and exhibits were nice and varied.

This was a good way to spend the morning. Especially if you are interested in Texas history or want to get your children interested. We took the free tram tour and got to see a lot of historic structures that were imported into the area. We had an interesting driver, and at certain exhibits, characters would come out and describe the exibit. The children's area was themed to Hank the Cow Dog. Thomas is 7, and he seemed to really enjoy the tour and learned a lot. You can walk the tour as well but it is quite a walk. You can see more that way but won't have a guide. If you can, I suggest you do both.
Chris W — Google review
This is a beautiful museum, absolutely amazing for family & children especially if you are into history there is so much to see & fun things for the children to do , we loved it. I would recommend doing the trolley ride tour instead of walking the mile through the heat to see all the historical buildings & homes. Just sign up at the desk when you walk in to claim your spot they do one every hour, also Everything is completely free but tips are welcomed. They also have a cute gift shop with lots of trinkets and also sell drinks but bringing your own food and drink is allowed. Definitely stop by here if you are in Lubbock you will not be disappointed and the kids will have a blast!

I recently photographed a couples/engagement session at this museum and it was stunning. The staff working were absolutely amazing and so kind. I hadn’t been to here since I was little so it was cool to see everything updated. And even better that I was capturing a love story surrounded by art!

We went for the planetarium. We were pleasantly surprised by the museum. It had several dinosaur skeletons, which my husband loved. There was an exhibit on 1800s fashion that I really enjoyed. The planetarium show of Dawn of the Space Age was just okay, IMO. It was from 2005, so almost 20 years old. It did have good information, but the colors of the movie were not vivid.

Nestled in the heart of Lubbock, the FiberMax Center for Discovery is a captivating interactive museum that delves into the rich history and significance of agriculture. Formerly known as the American Museum of Agriculture, this family-friendly destination offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. With its impressive collection of historic farming artifacts, including tractors and plows, guests can explore how agricultural practices have evolved over time.
My wife picked this place to go to and I was dreading it. I have no interest in agriculture whatsoever and was regretting going. Then we went and it was great. I'm an old man but I liked all the hands on displays. It kept my interest up through the entire visit. Also a couple of the volunteers there were great in telling about things and answering questions. I really enjoyed the entire visit.

Definitely a place the see. Some modern displays about agricultural science and tons of old machinery to discover both inside and outside
Ej S — Google review
Interesting things to see but I would recommend more training as employees do seem to have short tempers with kids there for field trips.. honestly felt like the kids could not be excited without being immediately told to calm down every minute. At one point told if they didn’t quiet down they would return to the bus. Again I feel like the place could have been better had there been patience.
Maria S — Google review
FiberMax is a great place to learn some history and current information about cotton and agriculture. My children enjoy the scavenger hunt. Ask the people working there about the paper with things to find.
Johanna P — Google review
Nice place in Lubbock to know about evolution of agricultural practice in West Texas, especially cotton. Experiencing cotton stripper is an added attraction. If you are visiting Lubbock and have a half day, it is worth visiting this place.
Seenivasan H — Google review
Cool place to look at things but employees are not very kid friendly. My son’s school went on a field trip and they were rude and just about over it when the kids barely got there.

Excellent museum about agriculture. You should check it out. And be sure to check out the train car by the parking lot.

Nestled in the heart of Lubbock, the Cactus Theater is a charming venue that has been captivating audiences since its inception in 1938. Originally a movie theater, it has undergone meticulous restoration and now serves as a vibrant hub for live performances. From Broadway musicals to country music concerts, this historic landmark offers an eclectic mix of entertainment throughout the year.
The Cactus Theatre is a delightful performance venue located in Lubbock’s depot District. The theatre dates to 1939, when it showed movies and had 720 seats. It survived until 1958, when competition from numerous other theatres in town, not to mention drive-in theatres that leveraged the nascent car culture, proved to be too much for the Cactus. According to their website, the theatre featured a “washed-air cooling system,” which we would call air conditioning today. The marque had 750 feet of neon on it. After its closing, the building was stripped inside and out, leaving behind a shell of it former glory. It thus sat empty for many years, until a local businessman and investors bought it in 1993 with plans to bring it back to life. It reopened in 1995 as a concert venue, which it is to this day. The renovation included installing more modern seats (code for wider and more comfortable), reducing seating capacity to 400. I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmie Dale Gilmore (of Flatlanders fame) and West Texas Exiles there on 29th March 2024. It was a great show. The acoustics were spot-on perfect; there’s not a bad seat in the house. It is a great venue for smaller crowds who seek an intimate experience in the performing arts. I’ll be back.

Nice venue, good sound, balcony seats are great.. Enjoyed a pomegranate margarita. VIBE Lubbock was on stage....great musicians!

The Doors tribute this past Sunday in a word, spectacular! It was literally like being at an original Doors concert from the 60’s. Jim Morrison’s mannerisms were adopted perfectly from the legend himself. I hope the band is brought back again in the near future.

Last night was the first time for my wife and I to visit the Cactus Theater. We went to see Paul Overstreet talk about the stories behind some of the songs he wrote and sang over his career. Of course he also sang some of them. We really enjoyed the venue. Everyone was nice and the atmosphere was more personal. We have been to shows like this before in casinos and I just didn’t like it because the atmosphere was off. It wasn’t personal or relaxing and enjoyable. We’ll be watching the schedule for more shows like this and we’ll be back.

The Cactus is a local Lubbock treasure. We try to catch a show there at least once a month. There's not a bad seat in the house.

The Cactus Theater hosted the very talented Elvis performer Moses Snow and he definitely ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! My son and I LOVED the show and for his first time at the Cactus Theater he's ready to go back! I very much loved the fact that Moses Snow added local music talent like John Sprott and others.

Nestled in the heart of Lubbock, Mackenzie Main City Park is a sprawling 248-acre oasis that offers an abundance of activities for everyone. This expansive park features a newly renovated golf course and the beloved Joyland Amusement Park, making it a perfect destination for family fun. Lovely park. Quite huge, with lots of different amenities, including a huge barbecue grill and about 20 permanent horseshoe pits. Grandkids had a great time on the playscapes, and hiking around the large pond. We enjoyed lunch in the covered pavilion. It was a Friday lunch time, and we had the whole place to ourselves.
Brett A — Google review
Came here to see some prarie dogs. We did find a bunch, but we learned quickly getting out to see them clearly wasn't an option. If they even *think* you are nearby, they run underground. It was fun to see them, but I was a little bummed out only being able to take hyper-zoomed photos, as the quality isn't great. As we left I got two good photos of them. They don't seem to be afraid of cars at all. But if you're human, they don't want you nearby. Fun stop along the way.
Natalia W — Google review
Went to Prairie Dog town! Stayed for about 30min feeding the dogs lettuce and carrots. Heard them barking and howling! Nice place to have a break from the daily grind and relax. Just stay behind the short wall and take some nice pix of dogs being themselves! You'll enjoy it!

Cute little critters that come up close. There's an awning to fend off the sun and a sign with information. Bring carrots!

This park is very well maintained. The disc golf courses are great as well. There are 2 disc golf courses that are at Mackenzie park. Both courses have 2 tee pads for most baskets. I would recommend the park for anyone to visit. Jogging, bike riding, fishing, disc golf, cookouts, plus it also has the amphitheater.
Tim M — Google review
The prairie dog town was pretty cool. Lots of them munching away. Other than that not much else to see except for a lake on the other end of the park

Main Event Lubbock, situated in Texas, is a spacious venue featuring party rooms and offering a range of entertainment options such as bowling, laser tag, mini-golf, and an arcade. It also serves American fare. Located off U.S. 62 Marsha Sharp Freeway between Loop 289 and Milwaukee Avenue, it's the ultimate birthday destination with innovative experiences including over 100 classic and modern games to play. The professional-level bowling alley is perfect for weekend nights out.
I ordered a hamburger 🍔 to go and it was better than some of the burger places. (Most ill say) I ordered it > just make it the way you guys do. Nothing custom, just main events way. Dammit, it was good 👍. It had lots of French fries, I just couldn't help but eating before picture.

The place is really cool. It is open and everything appeared to be in good working condition. My problem with this place is there is staff everywhere just standing around talking and goofing off. No one seems to actually work. We also were given no explanation of how pricing or anything worked. We purchased 1 hour of bowling and 3 games of mini golf. If we had known to ask for wrist bands it would have been a lot cheaper. Staff doesn't tell you that. They just offer a receipt with a tip line. Why am I going to tip on an hour of bowling and 3 games of mini golf? There isn't even anyone manning the mini golf. Who would even get the tip? There is a sign at the start of mini golf that said the winner gets a free game card. Of course there is never anyone back there and no guidance on where to get it from. The bathrooms are truly awful. If staff was running around and constantly busy and the bathrooms were bad that might be excusable, but staff and management are standing around just talking. I spoke briefly with the operations manager and I can tell from just the brief conversation that it is a management issue. The customer experience does not seem to matter to him at all. We will probably stick with Dave and Busters and avoid this Main Event.

Super fun has bowling, mini golf, Lazer tag, arcade pool and a bar. Fun family friendly and great for date night!

We went to had dinner last Friday night we were a big group (15) and since we got there the server got an attitude. The family restaurant tables were empty. Anyways she finally got us a table. She charged us for an extra entree that we didn’t ask. Also I asked for caesar salad she told me that was just a side plate, I said it’s fine. When I got the salad had egg on it. No where I ever seen a caesar salad with egg on it. Obviously I didn’t like it. When I got the bill I got charged with a house salad, she said was the same but according to the menu side salad 4.99 and house salad 9.99. It’s not about the extra $5 or the extra entree added to the bill. Its more about the unwelcome feeling and poor service. This was our first time here and we got very disappointed.
Edgar P — Google review
First time here and front desk employee named Drea was helpful! Will be back here once we come back to Lubbock. Lazer tag is $12 per person, included with a two story course and 8 minute rounds.

Oh yea!!! 100% recommend. I'm late 40's and never had so much fun. We did it all. The bowling, the hot pizza, the really cool cotton candy machine, the arcade play. (We got an awesome bear for memories with game play) . The neat glow in dark neon put put, most of all the laser tag. I did laser yah more than once cause it was so much fun. Pretty much did everything except play pool. Our waitress was super busy though. I don't think they should have given her so many tables.

Drive-in movie theater

Cafe
The Stars & Stripes Drive-In Theatre offers a nostalgic experience with its retro setting and three outdoor screens for double features. Visitors can enjoy classic American cuisine at the on-site cafe, including the famous Chihuahua Sandwich. While waiting for the movie to start, kids can play in the designated area. Although it's an affordable entertainment option, some visitors note that train whistles from nearby tracks may occasionally disrupt the movie audio.
Kids got to experience the drive in for the first time and loves it! Great family outing and good food. Would recommend getting there early to have time to enjoy the food and playground before the movie starts. Also, if you have a truck, getting there allows you to get the best spots in the third row. (Only cars are allowed in the first two rows.)
Leandra E — Google review
We love the drive in. My only complaint is that I wish there was at least one screen each weekend with a KID friendly movie. Me and my 4 year old love coming out there and would every weekend if there weee appropriate movies.

First time coming and we can honestly say we loved it. My son was a little nervous going because he doesn't like movie theaters because he says their loud. He gave it a 2 thumbs up and would definitely be back!
Tina I — Google review
We love going the Stars & Stripes with the family. My only complaint is they really need to actively monitor people that constantly turn their lights on. It's very disruptive to enjoying the movie. I mean people try to assist others in basic drive-in etiquette but sometimes, people get a bit unfriendly.

I wanted to give higher stars…….however there were numerous idling engines that made the air quality very poor. Employees including the manager declined to deal with the situation. Rules clearly state not to idle so we don’t all breathe in the exhaust fumes- made it a very unpleasant experience. In the past they used to have monitors that would walk through and ask folks to turn off their cars. :(

Adventure park is so fun!! We went last week while we were in town visiting family. We had the misfortune of getting rained out but the ladies up front gave us a full refund and we came back the next day. My kiddos (4yr 5yr and 10yr) LOVED the climbing structure, go karts and the bumper boats. We also did the little nature trail and played on the playground that's in there. Thw only thing I didn't love is the rope course/zip line were closed (which is fine) BUT there's a huge body of water that isn't roped off or anything, which felt super hazardous for young kids who don't know how to swim. But other then that we loved it and absolutley recommend it.
Whitney V — Google review
Took Kids for Spring Break! Staff was all very friendly and helpful! Kids loved go karts and bumper boars but the mini golf is mainly just greens and the hole. Could use a little updating to make it fun for kids. (They said it was boring) Kids loved the indoor ninja zone. They were disappointed that the climbing things outside weren't open too. (Apparently it's only a weekend thing??) still a pretty fun time for all!
Melissa A — Google review
You cannot go wrong with their unlimited go-kart. Mini golf is average. The climbing wall and adventure tower are quite fun. I also recommend their bumper boat but be ready for the soak. One one-hour pass is slightly cheaper than the two-hour pass.

I went to see Venom 3 super excited, as I played a Las Vegas Tourist in one of the scenes. Definitely an old fashioned style theater with seats that don’t recline. Other than that my movie experience was great here! My’Kaya was kind, friendly and took really good care of me with her excellent customer service. She is the prime example of what a boss wants in a worker and what a customer needs. The price for tickets was very fair and I liked the crust of the pizza. If you’re looking to watch a movie without all the extra glitz, this is the perfect place for you!

The girls up front and at the concessions were wonderful :) candy was tough like it was old. Theater was pretty empty, so no crowds were nice, but the seats are extremely uncomfortable, damn cloth material and musty. Definitely gives old school movie theater in all the wrong ways. Wasn’t our favorite. :( we haven’t been here in years and was sad to see that with all of the upgrades throughout the Lubbock area, this one had been forgotten about.

“Worst seat in town” is more like it. I don’t understand why people would choose to watch a movie here if it’s available at the other theaters in town. Unfortunately, this is the only theater that streams the Met Opera Live events. This is now the most outdated theater in Lubbock. Uncomfortable dated seating, rip-off concessions and they stopped offering the single free refills (every theater in town except Tinseltown and this one offer unlimited refills on soda/popcorn). DISGUSTING bathrooms, super strong urine smell and the trim is peeling off because there’s so much urine over the walls and floors. There is only a single public restroom available for guests so it makes no sense that they can’t do basic cleaning. (Other theaters have multiple guest restrooms and not a single one is as disgusting as the bathrooms at Movies 16) besides those issues, they just seem super lazy here. There is not a single auditorium that has a sign with what is currently playing. Every sign is a generic cinemark sign, and some of them aren’t even properly inserted! Water fountains are dirty and are blocked off. Theater tech here is outdated as well, picture isn’t very good and the sound system could use some work. Just seems like nobody cares here. If you’re deciding if you want to watch a movie here, do yourself a favor and go to Premier Cinemas or Alamo. Price difference is negligible and you’re likely to get better pricing elsewhere anyway because they run promotions.
Jon C — Google review
Seats are as comfortable as other theaters in town. Video presentation was fine as was the sound. The concessions line were ridiculous long as not all stations were manned. Observed several employees standing around conversating. Management should have opened another POS station. Period.
Matthew W — Google review
Buying tickets online was $10 extra in fees, not including taxes. The AC wasn’t working in most of the individual theater rooms (6/12/22), but they only tell you after you get ur tickets. Expensive concessions, long lines, slow service. Screen & audio quality was fine. Bathrooms were very dirty.

Water park
Water Rampage in Lubbock is a family-friendly water park that offers a variety of attractions for all ages. With 2 400-ft. waterslides, a wave pool, baby pool, lazy river, and snack bar, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The pirate-themed park features three worlds of adventure: Pirates Cove, Caribbean Adventure, and Future World. Visitors can relax at Captain Morgans Rum Point with refreshing beverages from the Snack Shack.
First off, the staff was super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Everything felt well-managed and safe, which gave me peace of mind since I brought my younger cousins with me. We spent most of our time between the wave pool and the lazy river—and let me tell you, that river is the most relaxing ride through a water park I’ve ever had. There’s something about floating under the sun with a cold drink in hand that just hits right. The kids absolutely loved Pirate’s Cove. It’s got slides, a dumping bucket, and plenty of shaded spots for parents to chill. I tried the Twin Twisters and the newer Raider’s Revenge slide complex—both were a blast! The slides are fast but never felt unsafe, and the lines moved quickly. One thing I really appreciated was how clean everything was. I noticed they’ve done some upgrades recently, especially in the restrooms and picnic areas. It’s the little things like that that show they care about the experience. We booked a shaded cabana near the wave pool and it was totally worth it. Plenty of space, easy access to everything, and it made our whole day more relaxing. Whether you’ve got kids, teens, or just want to feel like a kid again yourself, Water Rampage is a must-visit. It’s affordable, it’s fun, and it’s got that classic summer magic. Can’t wait to go back next season!

The park is aging but the only big pool in Lubbock. Entrance fee is steep, cheeper if you come the last two hours (4-6). Coin lockers available. Bathrooms but no showers or changing rooms. Has 6 slides, lazy river, wave pool, and children's play area. No outside food or drink, they will check bags at the entrance. Beers about $7 a piece. Lounge chairs go fast, many available picnic tables in the shade over gravel. Cement is very slippery, saw lots of kids walking who still slipped. Worth one visit, come before 2 or after 4 to get the most out of your money. Would be better with a Groupon.
George M — Google review
This place is NOTHING like the pictures or website. First off, $70 for two adults, to get in is super steep for how unwell the place is taken care of. You can’t even take any ice water inside. Then have to pay $2.50 for ice and water out of a faucet. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Madison E — Google review
The lazy river is very dirty. I used to love it but now it grosses me out. The wave pool doesn’t create very big waves anymore. The big screen doesn’t work anymore. There are very few inflatables now, so no one is allowed to save them. The food lines are always so long. They need a better system to keep it moving, or adding another line would be ideal. The whole park is just so dirty and rundown. Instead of adding more attractions to it, maybe clean it up. $38 a ticket is too much for the poor quality.
Kaci K — Google review
I used to go to Water Rampage, today I was there for first time this year. I am VERY disappointed with everything. I will not return back and don’t recommend this place to anybody. I heard a lot of complains about this facility today. Who is the manager? What happened? The water in the pool for the ones by the slides and for the kids was extremely dirty. Also in the lazy river. You can’t even see the bottom of the stairs. A lot of trash flying around and floating on the water. The restroom was dirty as well. I didn’t find any vacant lounge chair, I had to put my bag and clothes on the concrete floor. We have been waiting in the line for the drinks for 25 minutes. Before you enter the staff is there to check on your personal bags very carefully to make sure you don’t have any water or food. They want to make extra money so you have to buy it at the kiosk. Of course it is just junk food. I guess people are going there only because there is not any other place to go. Which is sad. The day pass for my daughter and me was $ 72. Thank you for this experience, Water Rampage.
Monika P — Google review
I would give 2.5 stars if I could. The kids love the water slides and this is Lubbock’s only option so of course we try to come at least once a year. Every year it gets worse. The price first of all is insane especially for how run down it is. Potholes in the parking lot. Stepping on concrete pieces throughout the park. The water slide mats are literally falling apart. We went looking for tubes at the life guard stand and she told us to look for them in the lazy river lol!?!? $1.29 for a tiny frozen pickle juice. There’s just so much about it that could be upgraded/better for $33 a person. 🥴
Megan S — Google review
Over priced and rude staff. Filthy bathrooms for what you pay to get in. I would expect more for $70 per couple. Kids pay what adults pay. Its ridiculous. It's cheaper to go to schlitterbahn. Lifeguards are running not even working. Do better, And maybe more people will come.
Jessica U — Google review
I've come since I was a kid and nothing has changed much, the 2 new slides are a plus. It's still too expensive to take the whole family so we only attend special events that are here. I love the lazy river and the wave pool but we went to the littlefield aquatic center today and it was only a $5 entry. They have a small lazy river and we just had more fun there. Much cleaner and more affordable, even with the concessions!

If you're looking for a vibrant and welcoming space that celebrates creativity, look no further than ART & Company! Starting January 12, 2024, they will be hosting Creative Kids AM every other Friday at 10:30 a.m., making it the perfect opportunity for young artists to explore their talents. This gem in Lubbock is not just about classes and workshops; it's an inspiring haven where both kids and adults can immerse themselves in art.
We had my baby shower here and it was an absolutely amazing experience! I had to plan everything last minute and was so worried but the owner was so accommodating and kind that everything went off without a hitch. The owner hand drew templates for my guests to paint in colors of their own preferenc. The kids play room was perfect for the 2 under 2 we had at the shower but they also loved getting to paint/use the markers on their own canvases. Everyone that showed up absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere and seeing all the pieces that the owner had lining the walls from her classes was really fun. I will definitely be looking into this place for future events and am keeping my eyes peeled for all of the classes they have to offer! Thank you so much Art and Co for the use of your space and for being so kind and accommodating!!

So grateful for a place that brings art and community together so beautifully!

Went there for a birthday party and I would honestly say I loved it. The set up was really nice and lots of room for the kiddos to run around and play. The kids painted hearts and had a blast. I would definitely recommend this place if anyone is interested in renting it.

Nestled just a short distance from downtown Lubbock, the Buddy Holly Statue stands as a tribute to one of rock-n-roll's pioneers. This life-sized bronze sculpture was unveiled in 1990 on the Texas Tech University campus, where Holly once studied before his tragic passing at just twenty-two. The statue is beautifully mounted on a granite pedestal adorned with some of his iconic lyrics, making it a must-see for fans and visitors alike.
This is a very respectful and lovingly placed statue with the west Texas music Hall of Fame in the background… I think Buddy would’ve been proud.

The cinema showcases an impressive lineup of both classic films and new releases, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Today, we visited the Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock, and it was an incredible experience! We were in one of the smaller theaters, which we absolutely loved—it felt so cozy, and we enjoyed the intimate setting without the crowd. The food was delicious, the service was impressively fast, and the seats were super comfortable, making the entire experience even better. This theater consistently delivers excellent service and quality, and it’s hands down one of our favorite spots in town for a movie night. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great movie-going experience!
Stephanie M — Google review
Great service here at this theater, ordered our tickets online to beat the rush when going to see the movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I like the fact you have an eating table you can eat your meals on, I was flabbergasted that you can actually order real meals not just popcorn, hot dogs and your normal food at theaters. Bathroom was clean and I like that this place reminded me of the older theaters back in the day. Only issue we had here was the popcorn, once we got home we felt sick from the popcorn, went home and threw it up. Not sure what was up with the popcorn
Mari A — Google review
Denied my three-year-old to watch Jurassic world with my family because of some strict age policy they claim they have? Also couldn’t get a refund for her or myself so they gave me 2 tickets for a rainy day policy. I don’t want to come back to use those tickets so I’ll be donating them. I guess families with smaller children are not welcome here at all. We went to the mall movie theater and had a great time. I definitely will not be back or spend my $ here again. Some people have families and kids and also want them to enjoy the movies and outings with their families too and not be left out. This place is only for adults or people with no children, not family oriented at all.
Van V — Google review
This is the best movie theater in Lubbock. It's a nice building, the seats are very comfortable, the service is usually good, and the food and drinks are, too. When a movie comes out I try to see it at Alamo first, we're lucky to have them in our market. Be sure to tip your server well! Constructive comment: The sign is looking a little rough, and the decor in the main entrance hasn't changed much since opening. Maybe time for a refresh?
Jason B — Google review
Went in around 8 pm and was going to grab a beer and a snack. Sat at the bar and no bartender. Waited about 5 minutes, bartender came and served someone that got there after we did and came to us. We asked for a menu and she tossed us two and disappeared again. Waited another couple of minutes and left. Very poor service.
Deby — Google review
This is great place it has the pass called the Alamo Season pass u pay a price of 19.99 for a month and get unlimited movies. What that mean u can get $10 off your movie ticket and only pay the app fee which is like $2. You get 2 movie per day everyday. But it is only in the app not a in person thing. Ps only work for the movie ticket not the Food or drink sadly. Other than that great way to spend you free time. If u need a litte more information about it check the app. My honest review.
Seth L — Google review
This place not only has over priced food, but somehow they not only tipped themselves after the movie had ended but then proceeded to pull $35 two days prior!!!!

I held a private music based event at this location last night. The team helped me make my event as great as I had hoped it would be. They provided me with tables and a microphone. I formed a game plan for the order of events, and the projectionist executed it perfectly and helped make the night memorable! The managers were very welcoming and accommodating. The wait staff did an excellent job and there were no complaints about any food or drink orders. I plan to hold more events here in the future and I would absolutely recommend them for any private theater events!

If you're looking to embark on a cosmic adventure, the Moody Planetarium is your gateway to the wonders of astronomy and science. Situated within the Museum of Texas Tech University, this innovative venue masterfully blends education with entertainment. With over 40 captivating shows tailored for various ages and interests, visitors can dive deep into topics ranging from constellations to the mysteries of dark matter and black holes.
Moody Planetarium may have been the first educational experience (outside of school) that ignited in me a passion for astronomy and science. It's not as modern as the OMNI theater at the Science Spectrum, but it transports you to the stars and other worlds. The content they show, from what I recall, was "stellar" and magical. A must for older children who need their imagination kindled and challenged.

Really impressed by the cleanliness at this theater. I give it a 10 out of 10. The employees were great. Everyone was doing a great job at keeping the flow going. This will be out new theater. Great job!

Went to see Last rodeo and told the employee and manager is was hot in there, the air wasn't coming on, husband went later and told them again, then when I went to refill my soda and popcorn (they wouldn't refill the popcorn but charged outrageous price) I told them again about it being hot and so it was very uncomfortable the whole movie. When the movie was over I went to use the restroom and it was so nasty, toilet paper on floor and hanging out toliet some clogged toliet and trash on the ground. Won't be going back!
Autumn G — Google review
I had a great experience at this Cinemark. Ticket purchase was efficient and the popcorn tastes wonderful. The only two things which could be improved include the concessions service. The seats also need some maintenance and repair. However, my seat did recline and was comfortable. The screen was great quality. I would return to this location

The staff was really friend and turned out night around and made a great family outing for us. They really went above and beyond! After some confusion and what I thought was going to be a terrible night with my 4yr old in tears all night turned into a night of family fun, laughter, and smiles! I can’t thank tonight’s staff enough for the quick resolution ! Anna who helped us in concession was so sweet from our first interaction all the way through our last. I unfortunately did not catch the name of the gentlemen with glasses who handed us our tickets or the manger working tonight but her and the gentlemen were also amazing to us . The manager had a quick resolution and never once were we left to feel awful for the situation we were dealing with. She was truly so sweet as well! We will definitely be returning in the future to the Tinseltown in Lubbock 😉
Priscilla D — Google review
By far this is our favorite theater. Never too crowded and always shows the movies we want to see and they deliver your snacks to your seat. Always clean theater and nice staff take care of you.
Chad T — Google review
Why are the seats always broken and the concession stand always out of pizza?? Definitely don't pre-order your concessions because it's hard to get a refund when they don't have something. Other than that, it's a theatre. When the seats are actually working and the staff gives a flip, it's a good experience! 😂
Jayme D — Google review
We definitely miss the theater and had to drive to see the movie we wanted and we weren't disappointed. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was truly amazing here Very friendly. If your in the area this theater will not disappoint.. Overall with everything going on the service was great and had a staff clean in between movies and bathroom user. Thank you sooo much

This morning I bought a ticket for a Fantastic Four XD Real 3D Fan Event after I saw a post on the Cinemark Instagram page claiming that along with the viewing experience one would receive a Fantastic Four collectors patch. Earlier today I came into the theater and saw the movie but after the screening I was wondering why I hadn’t received said patch. I went up to the ticket attendant and asked them about this and if Tinseltown was offering any. They claimed they gave two to each theatergoer who had a ticket for the screening but I was never given two, I don’t even have one. I emptied my pockets to prove I hadn’t been given anything and when I asked if anymore were available and was told “no” I left in understanding. I don’t blame the guy, I make mistakes at work too, but after an extra long shift at work and well over $16 spent without a primary object I came to retrieve I leave a childhood theater a little more than frustrated. Not a great evening…

Great theater. Nice reclining seats although some need to be reupholstered. Table with drink holder can be moved in front of you. A lot of different snacks available. Customer service here is horrible— particularly concessions. If any manager here is reading this, here’s why we BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS (aka: you’re missing out on at least $60 from us every time we come): 1) You advertise coffee. Your staff ALWAYS has to “check to see if they can serve coffee” when we ask for it. They leave for a second, come back and say they can’t do it. FYI— we just ask for black coffee… nothing fancy. 2) Depending on who you talk to depends on what you’re able to add to your meal. Example: we like to add bacon to our burger. Usually they tell you they can’t add it, then we go to someone else and they’re able to. Example 2: you’ve never gotten our order right. Literally, ever. You either give us the wrong sauce for the wings, forget a condiment, or just forget an item altogether. I guess I should be thanking you for saving us money.
Sam H — Google review
Best seat in the house wherever you choose. The leather seats adjust and you can stretch and relax while enjoying your movie. They also have fancy dbox seats available for action movies. Chill!

It sure doesn't look like the pictures on website. It used to be nice and clean. Carpet is so dirty. I went to visit my girls in Lubbock TX. We went to our chairs. My table on my recliner was sticky. I put napkins over my table on my recliner. This recliners in your handicap area. When I went to put my legs up to get comfortable to watch the movie, the chair was like you went on a ride. It was bad chair. Me and my girls did enjoyed the movie.
Lea T — Google review
Must admit I was a bit hesitant to attend based on reviews that slammed service & cleanliness. But as a family excursion to see TRON, I found the service to be wonderful, if not exceptional. This goes from the popcorn counter to the bistro bar. I did, unfortunately, find that the sides of the seats were sticky & laden with garbage others had left behind, which I discovered only by accident when I dropped something there and had to reach into the crevice to retrieve it. Besides that, I found little to fuss about. I actually really enjoyed the interaction with staff there!
Kaitie C — Google review
This used to be our theater of choice. The past few times have been extremely disappointing. The place is filthy. Carpet is black, seats are sticky, bathrooms are dirty. Today we saw a team member with his arm in the popcorn dispenser. Gloves were worn up to his wrist but his arm was down in the popcorn up to his elbows. Who know how dirty his arm was!!!!! Half of the sinks in the bathroom don't work. Our theater smelled musty like mold, spider webs were noted up and down the material on the walls. Seems like after the covid standards were relaxed, their give damn disappeared.
Windy P — Google review
Went today to see a movie. Any surface near the concession stand is filthy and sticky. Popcorn area, dirty. Drink area, dirty. The floor, sticky and dirty with trash here and there. This was around 1: 30 and there was hardly anyone there. The theatre seats were worn and torn. The popcorn was stale and the teeny tiny hot dogs were cold. I'll never waste my money here again !!!
Daftboy11 — Google review
Dirty!! The seats we had today were filthy. The tables had nacho cheese and sticky all over all 3 tables. My seat was also crammed full of napkins down the side. Good thing I had some wipes. The bathrooms were also horrible. While the credits were playing a young man was dusting the fabric and lights on the walls. I’m sure that needed to be done but the theater needed to be wiped down and cleaned first. We will stick to Tinseltown or Alamo. Not much better though.

We had a birthday party for my daughter on a Thursday during the week and it was amazing! I was iffy about doing it during the week but it turned out to be great, it wasn't crowded at all either (I was expecting a crowd). Our birthday party area was nice, clean and organized too! Not to mention our host Gabby was phenomenal!!! She was nice, thoughtful, organized and was very helpful! This was our first visit & first time doing a birthday party here, I would highly recommend it to anyone! Gabby helped set up, brought all the gifts from our guests and made sure we we were all taken care of! I never had to look for her, she was available with a big smile on her face the whole time! Our party guests included ages from 50 all the way down to an 11 month old and everyone had such a great time!!

I took my daughter there to have a special day and the prices were shocking honestly. I think if they want to charge that much the facility needs to be deep cleaned and repaired. The whole place smelled like a dirty sock and every single spot in that place was covered in debris and trash, so if they don’t even try to sweep or vacuum, imagine how little they actually disinfect or CLEAN it. It was disgusting 🤢 we were afraid to touch anything with our hands.

Brought my son and 4 of his friends to come jump for his birthday. All they really wanted was to go down the zip line. When we got there 2 of the young male employees said it would be 20 mins to fix it. 2 hours later after they decided to stop sitting and gabbing and close time was approaching they decided to get up and actually begin fixing it. We spent over $100 to jump and eat and the one thing that my boy loves at this place that they wanted to do most they couldn't even do. It wasn't even packed. We had most of the place to ourselves. This was taken at 7pm. We got here at 5pm. It's now 715 and they have decided to sit back down and not finish fixing the zipline. Thanks alot for a ruined birthday. I just looked over all the reviews from this past year and the people of Lubbock have spoken, this place sucks. Close it down.

Wife and kids decided it was finally time to try this place out. We were sat immediately on a Saturday and our waitress was very friendly. The food came out quick and it was pretty good. Not a single complaint from a full table of people. We enjoyed some games after we ate. All the games were functional and it was not very busy. The gift shop leaves something’s to be desired. That’s the only complaint. Overall we will return in the near future.

We went here today and it was very busy. My husband ordered shrimp Cajun pasta without sausage. When the food came out the pasta still had sausage in it. We waited for about an hour before my husband could get the correct meal. When the shrimp pasta came back out there was a piece of meat in it. How it got there, I do not know. My son ordered the rib-eye meal. The ribeye was charred and when he started eating the mashed potatoes he realized he was chewing on something that was a different texture and spit it out in a napkin. When I started digging through the mashed potatoes there was macaroni in it. I’m not sure who is doing quality control on the food that’s going out to customers but this was not a good experience for us. We told the waiter and she was very apologetic and so was the manager. Overall customer service was great (thank you Desiree) but the food was not so good. The manager did however comp the pasta meal and we appreciated that. We paid our bill and still gave a tip because we got great service, however I’m not sure that we’d eat here during busy times again.

Went to D&B to enjoy AEW's Forbidden Door 2025. Brayden took great care of me the 4 1/2 hours during the show!!! The host got the ginormous TV tuned in & volume turned up. So, I didn't miss a thing! The food was spot on: Fries GPT (garlic-y & hot) & side salad (with both green & red onions added, 'cuz we're to eat a colorful array of veggies, ya know). As a pescaterian there's not much to choose, the kitchen made them very goodly!!! As a veteran, it was spectacular to get a discount from the establishment, too! Brayden checked on me often throughout the afternoon, knowing I was staying for the entire event, kept my drinks fresh, ensured my booth was 'safe' whilst I stepped away. I was never vexed, uncomfortable nor wanting. Brayden made it a groovy time. I will definitely be going back to D&B's for more AEW PLEs and for entertainment. Plus, I highly appreciate and recommend Brayden for his attentiveness and thoroughly terrific job he performed!!! Thanks, Brayden & Dave & Busters! Y'all are stupendous! 5stars, man!!!

Booked a party for an elementary graduation. Process was very easy, Barb and Shay were very helpful over the phone with questions and changes to party before event. Joseph was phenomenal as our host, food was ready on time and all of the kids enjoyed it. Kids loved the unlimited play cards! Joseph was available to help with any questions or issues with cards. Our servers were also attentive and helpful. Overall great experience and we will book a party here again!

This is a great place to take your kids. The food was really good. We had a great waitress. She was so nice and really catered to my son. The games were lots of fun. My son also got decent prizes from his tickets. We had a great time. You will not be disappointed.

It was fun. Waitress was very good. Wife had two drinks, and I had two beers. We shared an appetizer. $70+ with a tip. Games were really fun and most all of them were working which isn't normal for this type of place so it was very good. Tables scattered throughout so you can drink while gaming. Again, very fun.

If it doesn't turn into a teenage daycare, it will definitely be a fun place for adults to have fun and play some arcade games. The food is comparable to like a buffalo wild wings or main event, but definitely much better much much better. They normally do very well with consistency of service and very well trained and knowledgeable staff. Corporate will be here to lead the restraunt so the true test will come a couple months down the line and we will see if the consistency is still there. That being said Dave and busters is a fun place for the family or date night I'd say wait to go cause it's definitely gonna be packed for no reason for the first couple of weeks but maybe try lunch time to beat the crowd and get to experience everything they have to offer.

Live music venue
Blue Light Live is a popular brick-walled venue in West Texas known for its vibrant live music scene. The stage hosts energetic Southern rock performances by up-and-coming artists like Dalton Domino and the Front Porch Family Band, as well as singer-songwriter nights featuring local talents. The venue's intimate setting allows for an up-close experience with the performers, and visitors can also enjoy the annual Blue Light Live Street Party in the summer.
Excellent energy. Not a big bar person. Came here to see a musician I follow (Goldford) and discovered an appreciable location where they host live music ranging from song nights to I believe concerts and occaisional music contests. Walls appear to be decorated with posters of bands who have been there before. It seems I have some history to look into.

Great Music Venue. Sound System was excellent. Graham St. Clair Band was performing, they were Great. $1.00 Longneck Happy Hour - What else could you want. 5 Star All The Way!
Robert W — Google review
I called to ask a question about a concert and the receptionist immediately hung up and ended the call. I then later called back to apologize for any wrong doing I did. Needless to say, customer service needs to be addressed. When representing a company, it is always important to be welcoming and assist the customers needs. When you hang up on a customer in the middle of the conversation it shows that the company does not value their customers nor does it attract future business. Being the first line of customer contact is not an easy job, but remember that you are representing the brand and when you decide to hang up on a customer it speaks louder than words. It directly affects the reputation of the brand and what they stand for. This altercation definitely made me disappointed in the staff member who I spoke with. It is also discouraging to the artists who play at the Blue Light and rely on the venue for their lively hood. If you are going to want business, friendly customer service is mandatory. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson to those who are in charge of the Blue Light customer relations.

Was at The Blue Light for a memorial for a friend. The entire staff and vibe were just ideal. Could not have had a better experience. Compliments to all.

The live music at singer songwriter night is really great! We enjoyed watching folks share their craft enormously. However the fella working the door seemed to think we would prefer to watch in subartuc conditions. It was bloody freaking cold in there. Now this might seem like a whiny girl talking...but I am hearty Canadian from the true north strong and free... It's really okay to keep it cozy inside on a chilly evening in Texas. 🎶

Play Street Museum - Lubbock is the perfect destination for a hot afternoon with kids. The facility offers an enjoyable experience for children of various ages, including 1, 3, and 6-year-olds. With limited reservations available, there is a manageable number of children present at any given time. It's delightful to witness the young ones engaging in imaginative play.
We had lots of fun here playing with our friends! It was our family’s first time. I love that there is a place in Lubbock for dramatic play for small kiddos. This place is very well taken care of, tidy, and clean. I loved the themed tables and my 4-year-old had a great time.
Megan G — Google review
This was on our summer bucket list and we finally made it the week before school started. Our seven and five year-old had a blast. Even my teen daughter who came along got into it. Such a fun place with high-quality toys, very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back!
Dee G — Google review
First time being there yesterday morning. My little girl who is almost 2 had so much fun, we even made a new friend and plan future play dates here. The cleanness and how everything looks new here was a relief of wondering if she would get sick. We also love she gets to pick out a snack on her way out. Thank you again for having this wonderful option here in Lubbock!
Madelyn K — Google review
We had a great time here! The place was clean and the person working would periodically go around and pick up stray toys and clean surfaces so it stayed nice during the whole playtime! My 3 year old and 5 year old had a blast. There were tons of activities laid out including educational, crafts, creative, free play, imaginative play and more! My only feedback (reason to remove a star) is I wish that they had a no shoes policy and a small area for babies with baby toys would be nice, but we managed. Either way, we will be back!

Absolutely the best indoor play area in Lubbock. A wonderful choice of play areas, educational toys, plus arts and crafts. My granddaughter has to make slime or a tie-dye every time. It's very affordable and most important she's ready for a nap by the time we leave

My kids love this place! I love that you have to reserve a spot so it doesn't get too crowded. The amount of time you book is just enough for the kids. I also love that we get a complimentary snack on our way out.

The Mom Lounge is a haven for moms seeking a supportive community and a safe space for their little ones to play. Tailored for children aged 0 to 5, it offers various activities such as classes, event hosting, and parties. The lounge stands out with its comfortable seating for adults and thoughtful amenities like a coffee bar. It's an ideal venue for birthday parties, providing ample space for kids to play while offering relaxation options for adults.
We love the mom lounge! We had my 1 year old party here and it was perfect! I am a planner and they helped keep my stress down by reaching out a week before to confirm. Then they asked for a picture of our little one for the screen inside! I love their set up and the fact you have the place to yourself. I would recommend this to anyone with young babies.

We had our youngest daughter's birthday here and it was so great! Clean, friendly and my kiddos (even the older ones) absolutely love the space. Everything was so personal from the photos on the TV screens to the music playlist they played during the event. Highly recommend! We've also attended other events here - from Mom's Mahjong nights to parties to mom/son and mom/daughter events. I love that they've created such a welcoming space for mom and their littles.
Casey L — Google review
The Mom Lounge is THE BEST place to host a birthday party. First of all the space is so aesthetically pleasing, and perfect for groups of people - plenty of space for the kiddos to play (the bounce house was especially a hit), but also great seating options for the adults - they even had a coffee bar for the adults which was wonderful! They had the sweetest happy birthday sign on the screen for my daughter, and were so helpful with setup and cleanup. I love coming here, and am so glad we decided to have my daughter’s bday party here. Can’t recommend The Mom Lounge enough!
Kendra M — Google review
We have had the BEST times here! Hosting a party was amazing and my little one still talks about it. Make sure to meet both owners and hear their story of meeting it’s cute and gives you insight to the foundation of the beginning.
Brooke Z — Google review
This place is so cool!! It's a little less hands-on than Play Street for a parent and there is no scheduled entry/exit for about the same price. Yesterday there was a bounce house present too. Free mom refreshments (water, coffee, sometimes a snack). My kids are 3 and almost 2, and absolutely love it here.
Lauren S — Google review
We love the mom lounge!! I’ve had my son’s birthday there two years in a row now and it was perfect! Great space to play, clean, and owners are amazing! They were very attentive to everything and are super sweet. We go there when we can to play as well and I can get some work done while watching my son play. Love the free coffee too! I also went to a mahjong night here and had so much fun!! Can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely LOVE The Mom Lounge here in Lubbock! It’s such an amazing space for toddlers and moms to hang out! My little guy has the best time every time we go, and as a mom, it’s been such a lifesaver! Plus their membership is super affordable, and it’s worth every penny!!! It’s owned by two of the sweetest women, Mary and Anna, both local mamas themselves!! They’ve created such a warm and welcoming space that really understands what moms and kids need! The BEST part, I’ve met so many amazing moms here with kids the same age as mine and have made some real friendships that I’m so grateful for! ❤️ If you’re in the area and have a toddler, you’ve GOT to check this place out!

Milestones Development and Play Park is a new indoor play space set to open this December, offering a unique experience for both parents and children. The park features six distinct play areas including a rock wall, Jungle Safari, Home center, Candy Land, and Infant Patch. While the opening week was chaotic with disorganized check-in processes, visitors were impressed by the diverse range of activities available for kids of all ages.
Such a fun place! My 3 year old and 2 year old absolutely loved it! It's very sensory friendly and has a lot of fun stuff for the kiddos. Definitely tired them out! It is great and the staff is very friendly! Great for the price! Will be going again!

We love to come to milestones as often as we can! The kids can get their energy out and are always making new friends. The staff is super nice and the place is very clean. The facility is well maintained with plenty of play options.

Very cool indoor park -- they have a 2 and under section, a 4 and umder, and two huge jungle gyms. There are toys and lots of open space, and the staff were great playing with our kids. Our littles had a blaat here. Also cool, this place is totally local, and you can see local sponsors everywhere inside -- carpet tech, Edge homes, etc. Check it out!
Lauren S — Google review
Went for the first time Monday and it was amazing my daughter loved it and so did i. Watched employees cleaning toys after children got done with them and that’s very important to me so my child doesn’t catch anything nor does anyone else. Staff is also so sweet We will definitely be coming more often
Alexus R — Google review
We went to Milestones as a fun thing to do for my son’s first birthday. The staff that checked us in were so so friendly and helpful. The facility was incredibly clean and very well put together design wise. Once we got in to the play area we were amazed at how huge it was on the inside! There is tons of room for a lot of kids to play. The playgrounds were so cool and colorful! We played the most in the infant area and it was such a great little area! There was a little ball pit, several gym foam pieces, and a play area for interactive toys. Our son loved the little ball pit, it was the perfect size for a baby. The area was plenty of room for several babies to play. We will definitely be back and would love to book for a birthday party in the future!
Taylor J — Google review
Updated Review - The place is still great in terms of having kids play and use their imagination. My problem with Milestones is now they charge a parent to enter with their child. The day pass includes one child and one adult. However if you are going as a family of two adults you have to pay an additional $5.00 to accompany your child. This might sit well for some, but I think up charging both parents to join the fun is unacceptable. Rather a child has one parent joining or two parents joining the price of entrance should not be different.

It was our first time going here...but it WONT be the last! My Lil boy loved it! I'm surprised I was able to get him to leave as easily as I did. It was packed with lots of little kids all having fun as well as parents alongside them. So whenever it's too cold 🥶 outside, just bring your kids here! They'll love it too! Definitely worth the $14 lil bucks u gotta pay for your kids to enjoy themselves for awhile. I mean, just LOOK at this smile in these pictures I took while there! Im #MikeG and i approve this message!
Mike G — Google review
Opening week so we anticipated chaos. The lobby was pure chaos, no one directed anyone anywhere. We just walked down the hall to the party room. No one checked us in, no clear line to get checked in or who's waiting or who hasn't been helped, it was ridiculous. The play area is AMAZING! nothing short!! So many different things to do, for all ages!! Our daughter had a blast! I will say I was disappointed to see that this was not a place for EVERYONE, as described on the news and website. There's no way this place is suitable for children with special needs.

We did the Jurassic escape room and had a blast! We were going to do the date night one but it was upstairs and unfortunately my husband couldn’t go up the stairs due to a recent injury. They were so accommodating and let us choose a different room. We got out with a little over 7 minutes left!

Game host saleen was very kind and very informative when it came to the escape rooms and she made the expirence all the more pleasurable! Overall just a great expirence and I will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family! P.s plan on bringing a few extra dollars as saleen does baking in her spare time and her sweets are just as great as her customer service!

+50 escape rooms. We did the nuclear fall out. Good puzzels, but some hang-ups like some of the puzzles taking time due to an electronic device booting up. The room we did was also a single room and, although good puzzles, had no real wow factor like some of the others in town. Nothing real negative and nothing real positive
