Lively college-town restaurant, bar and pool hall. The bar has over 80 styles of beer on draft. The burgers are amazing - you WILL need a napkin! Thursdays, (and probably through the weekend) go into full, college-mode with a DJ and loud music. Bouncers will card you. Fun place to go - children might be better off somewhere else.

I have wanted to go here for months!! The line is always so long. I begged my man to take me. I am a 44 year old woman with most of my body tattooed. The art I have on my body I’ve paid thousands of dollars for. I was more than willing to spend a couple hundred dollars in your bar last night. But after waiting in line, your doorman stopped me and said that I was not allowed in because of my neck tattoo. Shame on you. It is the first time in my life that I have been shamed like that. I will be letting everyone I know how I was judged and discriminated against!!

Ordered chips & queso, a few drafts on tap, and a burger with fries. While watching the 2nd game of TX TECH vs. TX Longhorn softball series. ID prior to making entry. Big screen to watch the game. There is plenty of seating. Karaoke after the game. Chips and queso- reasoned chips and queso were fresh and tasty. The fries were good. The meat on my burger was overcooked on the edge due to the thin burger patty. Other than the patty being dry, the burger was served with fresh veggies and bun. The drafts were ice cold and went down easy. The atmosphere is adult friendly as this location is in the heart of Lubbock and near Texas Tech. "Go, Raiders!" Plenty of seating, a few tables of billiards and basketball game. The restrooms were clean. Bar service is available, and the waitress fast and friendly service. Drafts were in plastic cups and were a good size. DJ provided music between karaoke singers.

Typical College Dive Bar in Texas. Bad music. Good people (mostly). Good service. Bar food. However, a really good selection of Beer and Pool Tables. And I must compliment the bartender and waitress ... Polite and attentive. As an old guy ... It was fun watching the mating rituals of young people (and the catastrophic failure).

Solid place and decent food. Really shines at night with DJ's playing. Place is usually packed on the weekend.

Sami is a phenomenal waitress! She is very friendly, and is very helpful with customers, I would love to have her again in the future!

I so want to give this place five stars. I'm an out of towner, and came for the extensive draft beer list, and highly rated food. I was not disappointed on either point. For all the great attributes of this establishment, the stale odor that permeates (not to mention actual smoke from a nearby cigarette ruining my meal) is a turnoff. And, I'd imagine it's a turnoff for more customers than you imagine. Get with the times and stop allowing smoking indoors! *Edited to add photo of the bathroom. Staff member says the stall wall has been missing for a couple months. Dear management, please get better.

Hurricane is the best! The chips and queso are delicious and the jalapeno poppers are a must. A round of Oysters and you’re good to go with some beers. Definitely coming back again

From the moment I came in, it was a fantastic experience. Justin the bartender introduced himself and recommended some local beers as well as some personal favorites. I had a great time and absolutely intend to come visit whenever I come back to Lubbock. Drinks were well priced too! Great introduction to Lubbock.

I had the fajita salad. It was just right on the heat level. Nice ambiance but fyi smoking is allowed. No big deal. Food and service were top notch.

Cool lubbock bar. You can smoke indoors on one side and on their patios. The oysters were fresh from the Gulf Coast, a little big in my opinion. Not a fan of the really giant oysters that you need to chew to get down the hatch, but these oysters were really fresh. Good selection of beer from cans of Keystone Light and PBR to craft brews on tap. REALLY GOOD cocktails 🍸. Wife had a few Ginger and 7's that were made perfectly. They do get really busy on the weekends, but it's a good time. Bar tenders were all super friendly and nice, great service. Definitely a good bar to have a drink and hang out with friends.

This has recently become my new favorite spot. The front room is smoking, but the back room is smoke free. Music is killer on Fridays and Sundays. Staff is always excellent!

No student, senior, or military discount. Staff was nice but not as welcoming or attentive as a newcomer to this establishment. Made my pick up order a bit confusing. But the food was fabulous.

This is a quaint hole in the wall with personality. The oysters are delicious and the wait staff are very friendly. If you are ever in the Lubbock area, this us a must try. Maybe Diners, Drive In and Dives next season.

I’m in a different city every week for work and while I’m out traveling I like to find karaoke bars to check out. Tonight I stopped into the Silver Bullet. The whole experience was awesome! Great bartenders, great sound system, great karaoke host. I may stop in one more time this week, I had a lot of fun!

I do like that they have a smoking and non smoking side. I did not like that you have to pay cover charge on non smoking side. The drinks were good and not expensive. Karaoke was fun, trendy crowd.

I have a lot of respect for this place!!!! I went here yesterday to do karaoke with my mother and they were a little strict on minors being in (me being 20). There was one bar tender trying to make sure rules were followed and was very polite about it. Thankfully the Owner let us in, as long as I wasn't by myself and had my hands marked so people knew I was a minor. And the stage was lots of fun!!! There was enough room there for me to dance and sing if needed. And I got cheered on during Mein Herr!!! The only thing that disappointed me was the fact I couldn't do any metal songs other than Crazy Train. I really wanted to do Down With The Sickness and Dragula, but those songs weren't allowed. I don't know why!!! I can rule the stage if given the opportunity. Even so, I still enjoyed the songs I could do!!! Thanks guys!!! The bartender with the red beanie and tattoos deserves a raise. Idk his name, but he was wonderful!!!!

Best place in Lubbock Texas. Great band's with great sounds and not to high. Great food. And staff is always friendly to everyone. Has two sides. One side smoking other not smoking. Best karaoke 🎤 in town

We went in for brunch before heading out and the food was phenomenal! Definitely try the waffle sandwhich or the red philly! The bartender Steve made a delicious Bloody Mary! We will absolutely be coming back!

I went for the stand up on Thursdays...it's the first bar since leaving GA that has an atmosphere like a real bar. There's smoke in the air, laughter and people genuinely enjoying themselves.

great specials during the week and chill atmosphere, especially nights with live music. very enjoyable. my one reason for a lower rating: bartender seems to be overcharging and pocketing quarters. i’m in the industry so it just seriously rubs me the wrong way. would’ve tipped them a lot more too if it wasn’t for this one mega personality flaw. do better. bars for us non tech people are all about vibes and camaraderie, this type of thing kills that.

Been going for years and have always had an amazing time. The food is amazing! Chef does different brunch menus every Sunday! They have daily drink specials and a wonderful staff! My favorite bar in town that I will always highly recommend!

Bartenders get out drinks super fast, someone is always picking up the empty bottles and glasses and their live music is amazing! Would totally recommend!

I don't remember being treated so badly in a restaurant before. It was a horrible experience. I went with my wife and a friend and they were served first. They ate because we all thought my dish would arrive soon. We waited for over one hour without me being able to eat dinner until we finally decided to leave. Until I canceled the bill, without the dish that had not been served to me, the dish arrived. Obviously I returned the food to them. Our going out to dinner was ruined. I will never go back to that place where they don't respect customers. I recommend everyone to do the same if you don't want to have a bad experience like mine =(.

Don’t come here unless you want to be overcharged 50% every single time you use card. Tried to close out and she “couldn’t find my tab”. She ended up giving up and saying it was fine and still got overcharged.

Worst bat in Lubbock…you’ll go to spend money and they’ll kick you out for no reason and steal your things, I’ve been calling to get my stuff back and no one answers. Keep in mind that this is not the first time it’s happened to me at this bar. And it’s the only bar it happens to me at…just plain weird and the drink suck so it’s not even worth it lol

Do not come here!!! They overcharged my card and the staff is blatantly rude they water down the drinks. The roof was leaking. The bathrooms are terrible. There were big puddles of water all over the floor it’s disgusting.On top of that, the music sucks!!

Went there for New Year's celebration last night. I understand it was crowded, but it doesn't excuse one of the bartenders literally looking some people in the eye and taking orders for other people that arrived after. Several of us had to wait literal hour to be served a drink, for it to be given in a smug attitude, and the drink turned out to be a shot with water as a final insult. One girl waited 45 minutes just to ask for some water. Please retrain your staff on customer service. Regardless, I will never set foot in this place again.

So a group of our friends went to the bar and everything we tried to order they didn’t have to make the drinks. If we weren’t in a bus we would have left immediately. Also didn’t have limes, lemons or salt. Then there was no toilet paper or paper towels. The crowd was rude and stuck up. Only reason it’s 2 stars is because the dj did amazing. We loved the music.

My friend and I have come here multiple times in the past and have had a blast! However, this night was so different! We literally were just freezing in the bar and I asked my friend to close the door and the bouncer and other workers were so upset that they started yelling at us to leave. We were so confused because it was simply cold and they started calling us disrespectful and yelling in our faces to leave the bar. Safe to say we will never be coming to this place again. Learn some customer service skills dude especially to sober customers! ❤️

Tasty food!!! We sat outside so not much comment on the atmosphere except for the cool lights and all the pinball machines. Chips and queso were GREAT especially the shiner bock queso. Wide selection of drinks aswell. Hotdogs galore and a cool BYO hotdog with my choices.

What a great little bar and fun. All the tables are pin ball machines. Staff is very friendly. Menu is simple and to the point. Great place for a date of just to pop in and have a cold drink. Bring your pup on its leash and sit outside.

The atmosphere was so cool! It’s park themed all the way (even the tables are made out of pinball machines!). The food and service were also top notch. I had the bahn mi, my wife had the supersonic dog, and the kiddo had an old fashioned dog with ketchup and all the dishes were superb. The side dishes of Gouda Mac and Cheese were creamy, cheesy, and crunchy thanks to the fried jalapeño strip topping.

Last minute decision change led us to a hidden gem with bomb food on free pinball day. I ordered The Philthy Whizard dog a play on Philly cheese steak and my boyfriend got The Supersonic dog which is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy with the bacon jam. Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't been here!!

Pretty cool place. We went for a late lunch, passing through town. It was slow by the service and grub was on point. Happy to add our good review to the rest of them.

Passing through on a trip out of state and needed somewhere dog friendly, this place was great! Our server Winter was so welcoming and passionate about the menu. We enjoyed everything we ordered and even got a "dog dog" for our pup! We will definitely eat here next time we pass through!

The reviews did not lie! The pizza was the best we had. It was a little loud, but it is a BAR and grill.

Stopped in here to check it out and enjoy an appetizer. The brisket fries were spot on. Very crispy and the brisket had great flavor. Our waitress was very friendly and worked quickly. I would recommend this spot and we will be returning in the future to try additional items.

Went on a weekend, we were denied entry by a manager due to IDs being “fake” they weren’t and she was absolutely rude with the accusations. Manager had a horrible attitude, rolling her eyes, and tone. If you will be carding be sure you know how to spot the difference of surround state IDs. This was not my first time there but certainly our last. They had maybe 10 people in their bar and lost 4 customers. Don’t recommend especially if any assistance would be needed from a manager.

Roadhouse vibe with all the fun. Pool, darts, sports screens, music(live after dark), beer and FOOD. BBQ, burgers, pizza, tacos, chicken fried baskets, appetizers.Everything on our table was a hit but the Brisket Nachos were a grand slam perfect for a table drinking and watching "the game". Plus surprises as we came in on a Saturday and an arm wrestling competition was setting up. Our server said it happens twice a month. Have Fun

We had lunch here, it was delish 😋...we had chopped brisket with two sides each. Friendly service, smiles and the cook out did himself... can't wait to go back.

Showed up for the armwrestling tournament. Great place and service. That pizza was awesome.

The food was good, I got the fried pickles and burger which were good, I also got the Moscow mule which is one of the best mules I’ve had in a while. The lantern didn’t play the best music and it was pretty smelly inside almost like a fishy smell. The server was great and was fast with getting drinks and food for us. Will be back again but I hope they get the smell fixed.

Overall 4/5. They definitely have the potential to improve though. It was our first visit and I wish we sat on the patio. It looks great out there! First thing, there's a weird smell inside. I hope that's temporary. The service is great. Waitstaff was responsive and friendly. The atmosphere is stellar and I love that they host open mic comedy and trivia nights! As for the food, its kind of bland. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, green chili burger, and jalapeño poppers. The spicy chicken sandwich was only "spicy" because they threw some jalapeño slices on it. I think it needs a spicy house sauce. The green chili burger was good but could benefit from a tad more seasoning. The poppers only get one slice of bacon and the peppers are a bit undercooked/closer to raw. That being said, we'll definitely be back to give Lantern Tavern another try.

We sat outside. As this was my first time, I don’t know what it is like inside. The waitstaff was very friendly. The specialty cocktails were delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The burgers are large and made hot to order. So good! Will be back again!

Very disappointing lunch. Excited about the beautiful patio where we could sit with our dogs for lunch. We arrived at 1:05. At 2:55 we left. It took almost two hours to have brunch. Almost empty restaurant. Told it was slow because there was a big party inside. It was 10 people. Two other tables walked out after the first hour. We only stayed because we had the dogs with us. Reviews were good. Sadly the one that was true was the one about slow service and ignoring non regulars.

My friends and I come here weekly and absolutely love it! The patio is really nice and drinks are excellent! The service is always spot on; a place that truly cares for their customers. I always recommend my friends from out of town come make a visit!

Lantern tavern is a great spot for drinks and a decent spot for food if you have some time to spare. Kitchen and service is a little slow (especially on the patio) but the food is good

They will only serve the "buddies" that show up and sit at the bar. If you dont know the bartenders or cooks, expect to wait a long time to get no food with zero remorse. Our food was ordered and we waited for 45 minutes then "regulars" showed up and immediately were served the food we had been waiting on. Sad because we used to love this place. Unfortunately now its empty and you're left feeling like an outsider if you're not a regular. We kept wondering why they were so empty on a Saturday night...well now we know.

Great time. Wasn't too busy. Karaoke was really fun the first time I went. Crowd seemed to be having a ton of fun. 2nd time I went it was okay except.. The only problem I had was the two guys off the streets that came in & one decided to help himself to my quarters on the pool table & intruded right into our game. Helluva a hustle he & his buddy have going on. Free pool at customers expense while he drank his cold beers. He didn't think I noticed but I did. Watch out for these two guys. They seemed to know several of the people in there. Didn't try the food. I had a good time in spite of " Mutt and Jeff". Lol!

This place has gone through a lot of transformations over the years. Recently, they revamped the menu with the help of an amazing chef, and hired a bunch of new FOH staff, and it's really really good. The menu is pretty standard bar fare, but all made with love, special seasoning blends in the breading for fried stuff, seriously good execution. If you've ever been here, you know what you're getting into - dive bar vibe with good energy, good people. And now the food and the staff are bringing the whole thing into focus. It's a good time.

The atmosphere died when they fired the best bartender I've had. Management seems to always get rid of what was working well. I only went for the nice people who worked there and the good karaoke, now everyone's gone.

Is the pizza here a frozen pizza that’s put in the oven? I wouldn’t recommend ordering the pizza.

No reason to return. Management fired/pushed out their best employees who MADE the atmosphere what it was. Now its just another boring and forgettable bar- like all the others i can't bother to recall. But hey, they got a new pool table thats sure to always be free, seeing as they just lost most all of their customers. Apparently you can climb on it like a jungle gym too if you don't know how to play!

Sexual discrimination. They will not hire male servers or bartenders

The customers and staff are aggressively left wing. LGBT whatever. They try to bully customer's. It was awful and I will never go back. The bartender, kimmy stood up for the aggressive woke customers.

I called to ask a question about a concert and the receptionist immediately hung up and ended the call. I then later called back to apologize for any wrong doing I did. Needless to say, customer service needs to be addressed. When representing a company, it is always important to be welcoming and assist the customers needs. When you hang up on a customer in the middle of the conversation it shows that the company does not value their customers nor does it attract future business. Being the first line of customer contact is not an easy job, but remember that you are representing the brand and when you decide to hang up on a customer it speaks louder than words. It directly affects the reputation of the brand and what they stand for. This altercation definitely made me disappointed in the staff member who I spoke with. It is also discouraging to the artists who play at the Blue Light and rely on the venue for their lively hood. If you are going to want business, friendly customer service is mandatory. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson to those who are in charge of the Blue Light customer relations.

Wonderful venue, great sound. Saw Cameron Allbright and Hank Weaver, 2 great San Marcos musicians. Had a great time.

The live music at singer songwriter night is really great! We enjoyed watching folks share their craft enormously. However the fella working the door seemed to think we would prefer to watch in subartuc conditions. It was bloody freaking cold in there. Now this might seem like a whiny girl talking...but I am hearty Canadian from the true north strong and free... It's really okay to keep it cozy inside on a chilly evening in Texas. 🎶

I have been there twice now and it is always packed!! They don’t have a gluten free option for beer. There are a lot of areas to hang out whether you want to dance, people watch, be outside, play pool. It’s a great place to go if you are going out with friends!!!

I had lunch with a customer here around noon on 3/11. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The staff were kind and friendly and kept the refills coming the entire visit. We started out with chips and queso. The chips were crisp and seasoned well, the salsa was flavorful but not spicy at all, and the queso was nice and cheesy with great flavor as well. Then I got the Monterrey Chicken for my meal. It was fantastic. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. The rice was also cooked expertly. The chicken was moist and juicy and exploded with flavors that danced well with the cheese, bacon, and avocado. Overall, this was a great place to take a customer for a lunch meeting. And we had a good time!

Everything was bad. Really if l can put 0 stars l can do it . But not l need to put 1 star, ⭐️ the food was not flavor taste like oils Hamburger and ring onions are disgusting tastes like oil. And the margarita mango tastes like alcohol not mango flavor, hamburger meat was dry my. Mother’s Day was horrible l never go back again.

Most definitely the worst fajitas I’ve had in my life. Look at the pictures and tell me that they do not look grey. And if you’re going to serve store bought tortillas, and least buy some decent ones. The only thing decent about this restaurant was the neon sign.

My friends and I love eating here! The host is very friendly and sat us immediately. There’s a wide selection of food options for everyone even picky eaters. The kitchen always makes sure that the food is correct. Never had any mistakes when ordering here. They also just put out an Oktoberfest menu. Joey stopped by our table and made sure that we were having an enjoyable experience. The waiters and waitresses are always so nice and welcoming. Will always be a favorite in Lubbock!

Nice atmosphere and staff, ordered the California Clucker and was disappointed, the chicken wasn't as flavorful as I hoped and came with only a couple small sliced avocados. The french fries did not taste very fresh either. The strawberry lemonade was good.

Their Tuesday night pizza deal is our weekly joy! Delish and affordable. We often get it to go but love some cold beer, at the restaurant is fun!

We ordered way too much food for the two of us! We had a great experience here! The queso was delicious, but both of our absolute favorites was the green chile stew! It was phenomenal! The burger was pretty run of the mill for us. Everything here looked delicious and the menu is huge. We would definitely revisit if we were ever back in town.

The food was great. I had the Philly cheese quesadilla, and the wife had grilled chicken. Lindie, our waitress, was super sweet and checked on us numerous times. We sat out in what I would call an Atrium-ish. There are trees in there, and it's a really cool and comfortable atmosphere. I fully recommend you check this place out for yourself. I will be back to try more menu items. P.s. I really liked that flag it was right behind our table.

Absolute staple of Lubbock– you must try them! Anything on the menu is delicious, but some of my favs are the green chile cheese chicken fried steak, their queso, and their burgers. They have wonderful staff and the best atmosphere.

Restaurant is okay. As a bar, it's probably better, but we were there to eat. Plenty of TVs for watching sports. Fun atmosphere. Staff is great. Service was excellent. Queso was good. My only complaint, and it's a big one that will keep us from returning, is the food. I'm sure there are things they do well. It's not fair to paint the entire menu the color of simply what we ordered, but based on what we ate, I wouldn't want to spend what they charge to try other items. I had chicken strips with fries. Simple, right? $16. Airport pricing. The food? The chicken strips were 100% the exact same ones you get at Dairy Queen for $8. I got 3 strips (again, for $16) and fries that were obviously not fresh cut. Sysco freezer fries. They were edible, but for $16 ... My son's chicken sandwich looked like a piece of meat that had been through a hydraulic press (they obviously used cook weights to speed up prep time), and was just a piece of unseasoned chicken on bread. Again, $16. If the prices were $10 - $12 for that quality of food, I'd have peace with that, but what they charge is excessive for the food we were served. 5 of us cost $120+ for dinner, including drinks and tip, and all my wife got was a soup and salad. Everything about our experience for dinner was good, except the food for what we paid. They either need to raise the bar on the food being served, or lower the price. The balance is way off. It costs us less to eat better food at Chili's.

We visited on a Sunday morning about 11 am - I had a craving for chicken fried steak. Not busy so the music was a little loud, but by the time we left, we hardly noticed it because it was getting pretty busy. Started with chips and salsa/queso - just can't go wrong with that. Chicken fried steak was fork tender, didn't need the knife to cut through it. Waitress was very personable and efficient! Bonus points for refilling my water glass frequently! Great place for burgers and beer.

Long wait for food that doesn’t take long to cook. Flies all around the ordering counter and condiments station. The beef fajita taco was mixed with ground beef and PLAIN. No Tex-Mex taste at all! I know we’re in Lubbock but I know the Hispanic community is prominent enough to align the taste of the food to promote authenticity. The worst part— a strawberry margarita didn’t even taste like a margarita! I had to add 6 lime wedges!! Didn’t even finish the drink or taco it was so bad. Mexi Shabby Chic anybody ? Food is mediocre drinks could be better. I still had a fun time here with my buddies. The young energetic clients they serve in this college town is what makes the place a place to try at least once ... maybe twice. The servers are very attentive but hey it gets crowded at peak hours so they are doing their best to keep up with the crowds. Tip them well. They are hard working College kids after all.

Food was OK, it was amazingly fast, but the thing that bothered me was I had to pay to charge my phone? They intentionally covered all the walls so no outlets were visible. Being from out of town my phone was already dying, so I was screwed into it. Good thing it was only a $1

I was there last night and witnessed a little bouncer kick out a guy who was drinking water (not drunk or beligerant). My group watched the entire thing and none of us could figure out why he was removed. I had talked to him when we were walking in and he was a cool guy. Not a good look for this place. So much so we and the group next to us left right after- decided we didn’t want to support a place that treats customers that way. I’d understand if the guy was drunk and yelling or being rude. Find another place to go. Too overpriced for that crap.

As a student, I come here all the time with my classmates. However, recently they have been hiring some very rude young men. They always yell at you to keep walking when entering with two friends and waiting for their ID’s to get checked, and hassle you to move from wherever you are standing, even the open outdoor porch area. Most recently, my classmates and I (perfectly sober, had JUST purchased our first drinks, calmly talking on the porch) were KICKED OUT for “standing in the way”. One of the guys working here came and yelled at us, told us he had reminded us of standing in the wrong place multiple times (this was the first time), and rudely told us to get out. We calmly asked if we could at least finish our drinks that we had just bought and were clearly full, to which he replied “you can on your way out” and proceeded to hustle us out the exit. If there isn’t enough space for the number of people you’re letting in, decrease your capacity. Bar service is also mediocre at best- bartenders are brusque and I have gotten a “mango marg” with zero mango flavor. Edit: Called to make this complaint and management was very nice about it and promised to address this with staff. Doesn’t change the terrible experience I had that night, but does ease the sting a little.

Chimys was suggested by an Alumni. We went last night. It didn't waver! The atmosphere fun for students & visitors! The steak fajita nachos were perfect for two as the menu stated. Generous portion of meat & cheese. Onions sautéed perfect with just enough jalapeños to give flavor without overwhelming. Whiskey Rita tasty & perfect. The security checked & carded as necessary much to my daughter's chagrin. We would go back!

I think of i was under 30 the atmosphere would get a higher grade. That said we are talking about a bar in a college town. But at 54 the seating and flow of the place just wasn't ideal

I went with my family for graduation weekend activities. I'm truly embarrassed that I brought them here. It was fairly empty yet still had a customer yelling across the room (but I guess that's yo be expected). When we ordered, the cashier wasnt familiar with the menu and told my brother that his meal didn't come with fries, so he ordered them on the side and decided to get them loaded. My cousin ordered the exact same meal but had her fries, so unfortunately my brother paid extra for some nasty over cooked fries. He also ordered onion rings but they must've been cooked right after some pickles becuase they tasted sour and no one ate them. My boyfriend ordered the salad ans asked for additional grilled chicken (two portions) and unfortunately it was CANNED shredded chicken!! Same with the wraps and loaded fries -- all had canned shredded chicken... the wraps were unpalatable because of the saltiness, surprisingly my boyfriend still sucked it up and ate the salad because he was starving. Our pretzel was rock hard stale, and mushrooms looked burnt. My boyfriend went to the bar to order a drink and the first one had a fly in it, so the bartender remade it and that one also had a fly in it. Finally he just asked for a different drink. The bartender looked at the spray gun, and liquor bottle but couldn't find the source. We were lucky enough to find a large table upstairs that suited our family well. I did like that it looked inviting outside with the swings and such. And it was interesting to learn that the staff pick their own prickly pears for the margaritas... but thats about the extent of my satisfaction with this establishment.

Best burger I've had in a long time! Cold beer and a wide variety of liquor and mixed drinks. I will be coming back soon.

Had an amazing time at BierHaus this past Sunday!!!The place was full of positive vibes from the moment we walked in. The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. DJ Alan was incredible – he brought such great energy and kept the good vibes going all night. The atmosphere, music, and overall experience were top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing my friends with me. Highly recommend!

I love this place during the day time! I’m always getting their delicious prickly pear margaritas that are frozen! The pretzel is pretty good as well as the nachos. I tried a burger but wasn’t big on the sweet bread but was still good.

I visit Lubbock for work and I always make sure to hit BierHaus at least once. Their cheeseburgers and fries are amazing!!! The service is top notch. The staff are always friendly and frequently check on you to make sure you’re perfect. The patio has a great vibe and the beer is always cold. If you visit Lubbock visit BierHaus!!!

Great friendly service. Limited food menu was even more limited by unavailability of some menu items. Patty melt was poor even by college hang out bar standards--white bread, small burger, far too much of a pretty tasteless cheese or cheese like product that drowned the grilled onions.

5 star all around!! Atmosphere is always great, i like going on the slower days but you never know what your going to walk into . Either way the service doesn’t change, the staff is always on point. They are very aware of their customers and are quick to serve them as fast as possible, never seen any one of them distracted by their cell phone. The guys in the kitchen put out some of the best food in town, hats off to them. Never had anything wrong with my order, always comes with napkins, silverware extra plates if needed without having to ask. Kailey is a favorite, 5 seconds into walking in she always welcomes you with a hello and remembers exactly what you drink and has it ready for you. If you haven’t been I would recommend you give them a try. Once you get to know the staff and the regulars it’s home away from home.

Cold beer great wait staff need I say more? Ok I will 😊...great food also, very affordable and non-smoking, because who wants to smell like an ashtray. You gotta try Shotzys if you haven't, you won't be disappointed!

Update!! I’ve been back a couple times since my first review and brought people with me. Guess what? Same great service and food! Definitely one of my favorite places now!! I drove from the DFW area to experience Shotzy’s and I was NOT disappointed. Had one of the best hamburger steaks ever. All the food was perfectly seasoned and the wait staff were so nice and friendly. I’ll definitely be back again.

Shotzys has really good food and even better bartenders. I haven't ordered anything I didn't really like and most of the time couldn't finish! If you go when Kailey is working shes such a sweetheart and is so about her business. Never any bad vibes or long waits!

I ordered a cheeseburger today & it was good, but I ordered ketchup and mustard and they charged me for that. 😱😳🤦🏻‍♀️ I told the waitress I had no idea that they charged for a condiment (mustard and ketchup)! It wasn’t ranch or anything like that, I feel like this is just part of the burger & fry entree. How can you charge for freaking ketchup and mustard!? 😬 I’ve never been to a restaurant who would do this. AND… if you’re going to charge for something simple like this, then you should literally have this posted in the menu, or have the waitress tell you this is an upcharge! I don’t think this is being unreasonable. POST YOUR CHARGES for something simple like this please so everyone knows! Now I know, and others reading this will know too… Ty.

I had the best time celebrating my birthday dinner here! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything from start to finish made the night feel special. Our server was absolutely lovely—attentive without being overbearing, and always made sure we had everything we needed. They even handled the timing of my birthday cake perfectly, which made for such a memorable moment. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

I was visiting Lubbock. I saw it pop up online, I think it was their soft opening? But server was excellent. Such a unique menu. The food was beautiful! It was my birthday so they made me a punch-like drink in a swan pitcher to share. They even boxed it up to take with us. It was unique and awesome. Beautiful cocktails. Beautiful food. Unique options! Highly recommend. I don’t think I’d take little ones, but date night, night out with friends definitely!

Everything about this was excellent. Price was really good for the quality and portion size of the food. The banana nut old fashioned is an exceptional take on a classic and the Cuban sandwich was really good as well. Top notch experience, as is to be expected by this restaurant group, and I'll definitely be back.

Drinks are amazing. Food is delicious. Burger was tender and juicy. Fried lasagna is a must. Not sure I’ve had a better margarita in Lubbock. Had a very Santa Fe flavor to it. Deserts set it over the top! You will not be disappointed. We will be back to our new favorite for sure.

Went for my birthday, didn't make it a big deal at my age. My mom and I went straight to the restroom and it was disgusting! One stall didn't have toilet paper, the second was full of bloody toilet and the last one had not been flushed. Our waitress was soft spoken couldn't hear her and kept asking her to bring us napkins and extra silverware. My hamburger wasn't fully cooked. But everyone else had delicious food. It was a sports bar so the TV took away from the family bonding. Don't think we'll be returning.

Great place where there is something for everyone. From chicken fingers to Mom's pot roast, mashed taters, and what ever sides your tummy desires. Wife even tags along on theme nights and she rates the wings as here number one pick...Also here fav is the Chips and Salsa with Queso on the side.

Gerry was my server! Very nice and prompt service. She suggested drinks and took my order quickly. I requested a refill on my soda and she was thoughtful enough to ask if it was for takeaway. Great service. The chips and salsa had a nice flavor. Reasonable prices all around. Would recommend this place to guys who like several tv screens and pretty good music in the background. Very welcoming environment. Will bring the family here sometime soon!

The food and atmosphere here was beyond outstanding. I love coming here and getting to relax and not worry about if my food will be cold, or if my service will be bad. We had Reece and Britney for the second time and they were fantastic. They were on top of everything and provided the best recommendations on food & drinks. I definitely recommend getting Brit and Rece as your server when you dine here. and the view is wonderful ;)

We had a great experience at Twin Peaks with server Emily. She was super friendly, and attentive without hovering. Food came out perfectly timed and every request was remembered. Warm personality making guests feel valued truly stood out. We will definitely be coming back and asking for Emily by name.

Just came from Peaks today and had a couple beers and the birria tacos (fire, by the way). Our waitress, Jaden, was awesome. Super cool, super professional, but also just really easy to talk to. You can tell she’s great at her job—checked in at the right times, kept the drinks coming, and had a good vibe the whole time. Made the whole experience better, honestly. Food was solid, drinks were cold, but Jaden’s service really stood out. If you’re heading to Peaks anytime soon, ask for her. She’s got it down.

I’m not really into these types of restaurants but I went with one of my friends and I have no words. Gerry, the one who served us was really nice AND GORGEOUS. I would go back just to see her. Wife and I used to always come here after a round of golf to enjoy wings and cheese fries. Moved away from LBK, came back 5 yrs later and decided to dine at Cujos for our 18th Anniversary (Jan 20th) to be nostalgic. Ordered for pick up as it was literally 5 degrees outside. Ordered 15 traditional wings and bacon cheese fries. (As we used to always order). Picked food up, brought it home and there was only ONE ranch dip. With an order of 15 wings, it comes with 2 ranch dips, as described online. Also, an order of bacon cheese fries also comes with one ranch dip. This is my wife’s favorite thing ok? To be skated 2 ranches when we were expecting it is very disheartening. Since I’m obligated to leave a review now, allow me to add that the traditional wings come out to, on avg $2 per wing after taxes. Not only were they very dry, we didn’t have any ranch dip to compensate. Most of the wings hardly had any meat on them as well. The Bacon Cheese Fries were $15 after taxes. They were the size of one bowl or Ramen Noodles! Not an exaggeration. In the past, we usually ordered a half portion of bacon cheese fries bc we couldn’t finish them. It’s literally one quarter the portion and again for $15! There’s no truffles in it or anything like that. Matter of fact the fries had LESS than one tablespoon of queso. Barely even noticed there was queso in it. $45 dollars for 15 wings and a portion of fries the size of a medium order from McDonalds…knock yourselves out. At least make sure you get the appropriate number of ranch dips if you order the same thing. You will NEED the ranch in order to even swallow the super dry wings, trust me. So disappointing when we used to really enjoy Cujos back in the day.

This place is painfully average. It’s dirty and allows smoking so you will need to take a shower post visit. I ordered a draft Dos Equis and a chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. I was brought a chicken fried steak with veggies and okra. Before I could even open my mouth, the waitress ran off and I was not able to correct my order. She then proceeded to disappear so I just decided to eat what was given to me. The draft beer tasted as if they let the keg get warm after it had already been chilled. The food was decent, but nothing better than a Furr’s Cafeteria or a Golden Corral. 2/5. I will not be returning.

Queso was served to us cold, so I Asked to have it warmed up but it came back about the same temperature. Queso was liquid. Sever did not come back to refill our drinks. Been here twice and I’m over this place, the quality of food is not worth the cost!

Let me give you all a HONEST REVIEW. I am 25 years old. I’ve always wanted to try Cujos! I always saw a good amount of vehicles outside sooo one day me and my husband went to try it out… Once we walked in the place smelled disgusting as of old cigarette smoke and noticed some people smoking inside the building… no one greeted us , even though one waitress looked at us and passed right past us, while we were wondering if it was free seating we decided to just pick a booth. While observing the surroundings the walls were very very filthy with food,sauces and who else knows what. The ceilings and decor is CAKED with a thick thick layer of dust that pretty much looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Which is surprising because I did noticed they changed the signing outside which looked nice! so once we walked it it was absolutely nothing what we were expecting. The waitress I guess tried her best to serve us but seemed to disappear half the time… we ordered the chips and Queso which was very watery and had no flavor. my husband ordered a beer burger wings and fries. I had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn.. we waited a good hour for our food which was very stressful despite the place being empty! Once our food came out they had got my order wrong and was sent back to the kitchen where they took another 20 mins to bring it out. My husband was very upset he didn’t want to eat because I hadn’t gotten my food yet. But after waiting a quiet while we received it back. We rated the food 3/10. The surrounding is definitely a -0/10 because how DISGUSTING this place is. If they allow their front of the house to be like this I can’t imagine the back of the house…

Had a great time at the range. There was both a quiet area and a busier one. I am not a golfer and did not this was a BYOC establishment. Nonetheless, the food and drinks were great and well priced. Staff was kind and patrons were sociable and what I thought would be a bust turned out to be a great game of corn hole, good food, and new buddies to return with. 10/10

Had an absolute blast at The Range in Lubbock! Visited during lunch on a Saturday, and the place was buzzing with families and young couples, all having a great time. The atmosphere was fantastic—lively yet relaxed, with a solid playlist of decent Western songs setting the perfect vibe. The indoor bar area was nice, and the whole setup was clean and well-organized, with both roofed and open areas for hitting balls.The staff really made the experience stand out. The girl tending to the practice area was super friendly, and the girls at the bar were cute, smiling, and radiating positive vibes, which added so much to the great atmosphere. The young guys working there were clearly enjoying themselves too, making it feel like everyone was in on the fun. I didn’t try the food, but I saw some tasty-looking pizzas being served while I grabbed my bucket of balls. Overall, The Range is a gem—fun, welcoming, and well-run. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Golf, beer, food and music! Need I say more! Lots of spaces, large bucket of balls is 8.00, bring your own clubs. Service was great. Kids had fun and dogs are allowed!

Awful service, or should I say, a complete lack of service. Server comes to our table and doesn't even acknowledge one from our group. Asked for a water. She returned almost a half hour later with my friend's beer. Had to ask again for water. Another half hour and she brings me a cup. You mean to tell me it took an hour for you to hand me something I have to fill anyway? And then she disappeared again for a good half hour. The food took forever to get done. Just crappy service if you're not specifically there to hit golf balls. ETA after the owner's response: Wasn't aware since it was my 1st time. But no worries because I won't be back due to the poor service. :-)

Hawaii 5.0 burger is the way to go! Excellent signature cocktails! I had the Pain Killer, with Rum, Pineapple & Creme of Coconut! Can’t beat $4 Domestic & $5 Import Bottle Beers. Cool Atmosphere & Friendly Staff!!

We needed a late night, local place to eat and have a drink. The bartender at Narrow Bar sent us here. It was a dive bar turned tiki lounge. Good vibes. No beer on tap, my only complaint.

The Nashville hot chicken and red velvet waffles were so fkn good!! The chicken had a delicious crispy batter, which was actually spicy and so juicy! The red velvet was drizzled with chocolate sauce and came with syrup on the side, which I appreciated to control the sweetness. The mimosa carafe was only $9! Such a steal! And they were delicious!! We tried grapefruit and cranberry. My son had the basket case (scrambled eggs and no veggies). The bacon and the papas were crispy, and he really enjoyed it!

I've been going to savage for a few years, and I've gotta say I'm a huge fan of the changes. The Tiki theme is awesome, and done really well. I had the Zombie & the bao pork buns. The zombie was boozy, and brought me back to west coast tiki bars. 100% would get it again after trying the others. The bao was a 10/10. Service is always great, and all the staff really make you feel welcome. Cant wait for the full tiki menu to drop!!

After the remodel, the bar is a total vibe. Between cozy little nooks, and a patio with an atmosphere of pure relaxation. Enjoy the cool and 'mostly' calm essence inside with wickedly cool table chandeliers that'll keep your inebriated or otherwise chemically dependent alter egos well dazzled, or move to the bar for lively conversations and regularly refilled libations!

Came here today after getting a recommendation from close family that went to Tech. Great atmosphere and Great service . We just had appetizers, we got the Jalapeño Poppers (10/10) and the Wonton Chips & White Queso (15/10). Surprised it was slower , such a nice hidden gem on University. 100% Recommend.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Savage Tavern was frustrating from start to finish. Our waitress only came to our table twice, and each time was nearly 30 minutes apart. I ordered a simple meal — 3 eggs with biscuits and gravy — but only received one egg. I politely mentioned it twice, yet the missing eggs were never brought out. When I finally expressed that I wasn’t satisfied with the meal, instead of trying to make it right, the staff argued with me back and forth. They eventually knocked off a couple bucks for the missing eggs, but I still ended up paying close to full price for a $16 plate I didn’t even get in full. The food itself wasn’t impressive enough to make up for the poor service and attitude. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting decent service or accountability.

Well, el Rodeo is not a restaurant is a club. There is a dj o band playing mostly cumbia ,norteña and banda music people dance in the middle, they have pool tables and a full bar, beer and mix drinks ,plenty of security when is full parking maybe an issue

The music is awesome!! Waitress can be rude to a woman but if it's a guy their flirtatious!! Bathrooms could be cleaner and also don't like the fact that there is contribution of drugs going on!!

There's no cover charge, so it's pretty packed. Good music. A lot of couples here so if you're single might want to bring someone beforehand but hey you might get lucky and find some else that's also single. Smoking is allowed inside. Pool tables off to the side of the dance floor for those who play. There is a weapon check at the front door.

Good service the atmosphere was okay but a lot of smokers so when you come out be prepared to smell like an ashtray lol.

I am an Uber/Lyft driver that went to this establishment to pick up a passenger. I had just arrived and was waiting out front in the driveway. The "owner$ as he out it came up to my vehicle and told me I had to leave. I advised him I was waiting on a passenger and he told me I had to leave or henwouod move me. I would not recommend patronizing this establishmentm. The "owner" is a Bully.

This place is freakin awesome!! Right off the thoroughfare so its not hard to get to. The bartenders here are the absolute best!! They're very friendly and attentive to their customers. I was also pleasantly surprised when a bartender went out of their way to accommodate an intoxicated customer to ensure that he got home safely. This respect for human life that isn't inherent to all, so im glad they go above above and beyond! I'll continue to stop here to get my drink on 🍻

The food was a joke. The "wedge" salad was a few leafs of lettuce with soggy tomatoes, no red onion and bacon. The club sandwich was missing the aoli and bacon. Dry and a tiny bit of turkey. Ordered tots and got fries. More than disappointed

For years I have come to Lubbock Texas. Went to college here, visit here and pass through when traveling. I’ve been to some bars here in my time, but this one took the cake. Absolutely the worst service you could ever experience. The bus boys were great, but the waitresses couldn’t handle a simple task of getting the check or a single water. When you wait over an hour for a burger you know something is wrong. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. It would be an absolute waste of money. The parking enforcement at Tech have better service than these people.

Went with my significant other for the first time yesterday since moving to LBK due to it being recommended by a friend. Upon walking in there’s no host, so we sat ourselves with not more than 2 other tables occupied. Blonde college girl server comes over almost appalled that we sat ourselves and gave us no menus until she saw me pulling it up on my phone.. not even a smile and no communication. Such trash attitude, and would disappear for so long the bartender started serving us, which her hospitality was way better! Stale bread that resembled a hockey puck and old fryer oil being used to the point the food was inedible and we just asked for the check. I’m never the type to send food back or complain, so we just had to get out of there.. don’t waste your time unless going for a drink and even then, find somewhere else. ☹️☹️

We had drinks on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful evening until 6 kids aged 3-10 were allowed to throw a football around the patio, hitting patrons with it while the parents drank inside the bar. Saturday they have a ridiculous loud outdoor DJ until 3am right next to two very nice hotels and several aoartment buildings. I counted 30 people total attending. If you want sleep on a game day, dont stay anywhere near Logies

The employees here act like they have a million things better to do than talk to you. Would chit chat and smile with their coworkers but treated me like asking for a drink or my food was a chore. When I tried to ask about the wing flavors I was told would you like a menu with an eye roll. This service was slower than any bar I’ve ever been too. I’ve been to bars all over the world, and I’ve never had an encounter with a bar with as bad as bad as this one.

Look, it’s a college bar but the food took over an hour to come out, the bill was wrong, they lost a credit card, and the service was the worst I’ve had at almost any bar I’ve been to. Was hopeful to have a decent walkable bar but this was likely the worst service I’ve ever received. Even when the place was empty our waitress treated us like we weren’t worth her time. I know I’m not the typical college clientele but was hoping for a quick quality drink and some solid bar food. Won’t be back.

This is a really cool place they opened while I was in school here. They have a cool view of the stadium, decent drinks, cheap prices, and fun atmosphere.

I've never not had a great night here! Multiple (4 if I recall right) bars/alcohol vendors. So you'll never go thirsty. No wait, not even to get in. And the view! If I can drink and look out on the city skyline. Ok happy

If you can tolerate the meat market created by their regular clientele, the Roof has the greatest view of Lubbock, across from Jones AT&T football stadium at Texas Tech. Best way to get here is to drive all the way to the top of the parking garage. For the best experience, don't take the elevators. God only knows what happens in there!

The most beautiful view inside the city limits of Lubbock Texas. I was there on a clear 81° night. The downside is the drinks are expensive and the crowd is immature and annoying. Especially if you're not drinking alcohol!

This place is terrible! The place is run down, there is no way it is up to code, and the staff is not polite especially Chad Lorenz. He works the exit door at the Roof and is charging some people $25 to get in while he lets college girls go in for free. The standard of this place is not very high and he sure does not do his job correctly. I will never be attending this place ever again. I highly recommend to anyone to never go here. It is a waste of your time and money.

Beware the bouncers. They scam you. Went after the game, one of the guys checking ID on the stairs was charging cover and the other checking ID at the elevator wasn’t. When our friend confronted him at the door as we were walking out he wasn’t charging anyone and played it off like he didn’t do anything wrong. There are no signs posted about any cover charge. Seems like he was charging to get some extra cash. Very dirty.

My friends and I came on Tuesday for karaoke night and we had the BEST time!! The drinks were amazing (espresso martini is to die for) and they were on special all night. I absolutely can’t wait to come back. In my opinion, Sue’s is the best cocktail bar in town!

Shotgun Sue’s is a super cool place. I love the vibe, drinks are clever and artisan. I had the old fashioned and Scuzi. Scuzi is their take on a chilton and uses lemoncello instead of squeezes all the lemons which is clever. I expected it to be sweet like lemoncello but it was not. The old fashioned used Buffalo Trace as the well, which impressed me. The bartender and I chatted about our favorite bourbons to sip and she knew her stuff. The owner was at the end of the bar with some friends. Super cool guy. I’ll be back!

Never in my life have I ever believed that paying for the menu cocktails was ever worth it. I’ve always said just give me a scotch or give me some shot. In my 31 years, this is the first place that I can legitimately say it is worth paying to have the cocktails. We loved the classic country vibe and the old school music was great!

Absolutely amazing experience! The bartender/owner was so nice and accommodating! The drinks were the best I’ve tasted in Lubbock! Nobody has drink and takes their craft as serious as this place! You got yourself a new regular sir!

Tuesday night kareoke is my jam although the ranch water has gone up in price since I started going here. But they do have some fancy rare tequilas. Best ranch water in town but I won’t be drinking as much after they raised the price so much.

i’ve had probably over 100 espresso martinis and love judging them and i have to say, i’ve never had an espresso martini as good as this one. beautiful combo of flavors most places try and fail to achieve. i would order a million more.

Quality cocktails and absolute class. Pierce is masterful in his craft. I hail from the land of $16-$30 cocktails (Austin) which are typically mediocre/pre-made/cheated with mixers for speed. Not here. The meticulousness/care is evident both if you watch the process and when you taste it in the glass, and at a mere $10, the value there is absurd. The Godfather Sour is the best cocktail I've had at a bar in years. I've done my share of whiskey-based amaretto sours at home, going as far as fat-washing semi-allocated cask-strength whiskeys for it, but where I'd crafted a rich, dessert drink, they've crafted here an extremely balanced, beautiful cocktail that puts my efforts to shame. I wish this place had existed back when I was at Tech from '02 to '06. My whiskey/cocktail journey would have skipped a few years through seeing the expertise at work here. Lubbock, please appreciate this and love it. This place is special and an absolute gem that fully deserves your support. I'd give it six stars if I could. True excellence.

This bar is amazing. The drinks are professionally made with a bit of sass and attitude. The vibe is amazing and you won’t find a better group of owners or employees. The highlight of this place is the fact that the owners are constantly here talking to people and making people feel welcome, but you won’t beat the amount of space to enjoy time with your friends or family.

It was my first time, and I had an incredible experience. Drinks were flowing strong and the live music was good to go. I'm excited to make this place one of my regular spots!

I used to love Bodine’s. I would tell all my friends visiting how amazing bodines was and I was so happy to have a lounge in Lubbock that was comfy, stylish and served great drinks. The drinks used to be amazing! Then on our most recent visit. We were told the old soul was discontinued. I asked the server/bartender “anything comparable?” He couldn’t recommend anything, and told me “the old soul took 6 ingredients to make” ok…. Thanks for the info…. So I ordered something different. Nothing I haven’t had before. A few minutes after, a drunk guy falls off his chair at the bar. The same waiter we had decides to turn the lights off in half of the lounge we’re sitting in. My feeling of comfort is gone. Bodine’s used to be my pride and joy about the bar scene in Lubbock, but based on this recent visit, I will not be back. “You’ve got 7 minutes to get the F out!” Different bartender yelling at the patrons. Then the same bartender cussed us out as we left, I am baffled.

Absolutely amazing. Drinks are great. Staff is on point. Just happen to go by and we will definitely be back.

Not a quality time

I had lunch here with a customer around 11:30 on 4/29. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. Our server, Trip, introduced himself and answered all of our questions. He did a great job taking care of us and keeping our drinks refilled. I ordered the pork chop with a salad and mushrooms for my side. The mushrooms were phenomenal, but I am a big fan of mushrooms anyway. And they went perfectly with the delicious mashed potatoes underneath the chop. The pork chop itself was juicy and tender and seasoned wonderfully. The salad was fresh and crisp and paired nicely with the vinaigrette I chose as my dressing. Overall the meal was outstanding. The only feedback I would give would be that it was pretty loud, and we had to repeat ourselves quite often during our conversation. Other than that, we enjoyed a delicious meal and had a good time!

Just had an amazing dining experience at Triple J🔥 The steak was absolutely spot on perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in their cuts and preparation. But what really made the evening special was our waiter, Trip he was outstanding! Friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. If you're in Lubbock and craving a great steak with top tier service, Triple J is a must. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So glad that a friend recommended Triple J. The service was perfect. Friendliest staff I’ve encountered in a long time. I was going for a semi light lunch so I tried the steak tip salad. The steak was seasoned and grilled to perfection. The dressing was very well made as well. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Very welcoming restaurant. I had the Honey Pepper Ribeye and was possibly the best steak I’ve had in a while. Very crappy sweet potato fries & cheesy, cheesy mac & cheese. TTU game day and everyone was wearing scarlet. My next choice will be the chicken fried steak.

Sirloin steak was perfectly cooked to my requested doneness. Thanks to Trip for ordering my fries extra crispy and for the prompt service. Great dining experience, highly recommend!

Very good smoked Prime Rib. I ordered it Medium Rare, came out rare. We got the texas nachos with ground beef and smoked pork. Excellent appetizer.

Drove 2 hours because I heard this place is a must try. And it was worth it! I had the 16oz ribeye with green chile and it was perfect. Then to end the lunch with bread pudding it was well worth it.

It was closed when we got there but it was really cool seeing his childhood home and reading the history plaques outside the building. Be sure to check out the wall of fame across the street. It's list famous people born inLubbock

For a university museum, it has a lovely design and a good atmosphere. The newly added fossils brought new life to the space. My favorite part was the section about Lubbock’s history, especially the wooden dolls. They were fascinating.

Such a cool little museum. Really enjoyed the exhibits and learning about Buddy Holly’s life. 10/10 would highly recommend!

A small museum with a good collection of artifacts. Though Buddy Holly lived a short life, it was interesting to learn of the influence he had on so many other artists. This was my 2nd time visiting since 2020. Be aware that no pictures of the exhibits are allowed. We visited the Silent Wings Museum first and got half off entry into the Buddy Holly Museum.

This was a very small exhibit. I really expected there to be music celebrating his life. I also thought it would have been great have an exhibit that played the musical influences that led up to his unique style. Most of the exhibit was reading. Very well displayed though.

My family and I went for my birthday. It was so perfect. The ambience was so nice. Fantastic martinis. Amazing steaks! We also loved the bananas foster! It is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock.

I wish I could score this place higher. The staff are always amazing and the food is well worth the price. We've spent several special occasions here and definitely intend on coming back for another. I highly recommend the steaks as they're cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The staff are great at making you feel at home and taking care of every little thing you could need.

Had to share how sweet our server was. Our son has nonverbal autism and we had never taken him to a nice restaurant. Oscar was over the top understanding and helpful. He did everything to make sure he was taken care of and made little accommodations to help him. The food is good, but the server was really above and beyond. We appreciate his kindness and care!

We went for our anniversary and it was amazing! Easily the best place I have eaten in Lubbock. Great food, amazing service. The staff did a great job of making sure everything was up to our standards.

We took our son here for his 15th birthday. If requested they will acknowledge your birthday. Our waiter forgot so we don’t know they do. Make sure to remind them. I ordered the Double Nickel salad. It was tart, but if you like sweet tasting salad it was good. We order crab stuffed mushrooms and they were phenomenal. Lots of yummy sauce to enjoy. We ordered the Bananas Foster. They lit it at the table. It was fun to watch and delicious. The establishment definitely makes you feel like you need to dress up and act “proper”. However, I did see people in shorts and casual wear. The hey only enforce the “no hat” policy. Wear your Sunday best! The prices were through the roof so it’s definitely a special occasion experience for the working class.

We made reservations for my son’s birthday for 5:30 on 9/23. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We ordered the bacon shrimp and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both appetizers were delicious. For my entree, I got the ribeye “double nickel” style topped with lump crab and shrimp with spinach rockefeller and sautéed mushrooms. My steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were delectable. But the best part of our evening was the bananas foster! Not only was it the flambé fun to watch, but the dessert was one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. It was a night to remember, and a great way to celebrate a birthday. We had a good time!

Pretty neat place, very affordable food, ordered the green cheese enchiladas ($12), lemonade ($3), and a shot of bourbon ($4.50). Mixed in some salsa with my meal, was a good choice. The atmosphere on a Saturday night around 10pm was drunk men and women with children playing kids games. There was a mixture of cigarette smoke and alcohol throughout the air, not the greatest atmosphere.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Nick, and I can honestly say he was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. From the moment he greeted our table, he was warm, attentive, and professional, but also had a natural charm that made the whole experience feel so enjoyable. Nick anticipated our needs before we even asked, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Beyond his excellent service, his friendly personality and genuine smile made the evening even more memorable. He carried himself with confidence and grace — truly elevating the entire dining experience. If you’re lucky enough to have Nick as your waiter, you’re guaranteed not only amazing service but also a wonderful atmosphere. He’s a gem! P.S. He’s so cute, would love to see him again.

The evening started out great, and our server Ann was perfect, food was delicious, had a great time with games as usual. When I tell you this one issue ruined everything I really mean it. The young man walking around with the broom and dust pan! Of all the noises in the building all you could hear is him sweeping absolutely nothing and the loudest most monotonous tap through our entire meal. Right beside our table no regard for people eating and trying to enjoy the meal and company. Like we appreciate the cleanliness, the floors looked great! But it was awful! Like nails on a chalkboard.

Had a great first impression of this place. Our server was really friendly and attentive. All the games were operational and my son had a fun time playing and picking out prizes. We went during the middle of the day on Friday and it was not too busy. We will definitely be back.

I went here yesterday around 8pm, I was met at the front by the rudest girl I've met. She refused to speak to us because she was on her phone. There were two girls. They had sloppy hair with bright coloring streaks. She wouldn't give eye contact or face me. I just wanted to put our name on the list to wait for a table. She wouldn't even take my name she stayed on her phone our entire conversation. I tried to be civil. I asked how long the wait time was. As we really intended on spending big last night. She ignored my question but looked at me. I said in another way. How long before we can be seated. She said "when a table opens up. She then mumbled a racial slur to me. So I took my family and left. I wanted to speak to a manager but there's never anyone that will help you here. I used to come here a lot but yesterday was our last time. To employ people who treat other people this poorly is wrong. Her being a possible teenager is no excuse for her behavior. If she can't handle customers or has a problem with black ones, the. She should be moved to back of house to wash dishes or let go. There's no excuse to call a stranger that who was just looking to take family out there. The other girl just kept looking back and forth at the girl being rude to us never stepped in at any point. This would have been a large party celebration and could have brought potential profit to the store and I feel like this place will ultimately miss out on this in the future if the service doesn't improve. I hate complaining but I've never been called a slur at a restaurant before. It was a bad experience for my kids to see. Please do better.

Fun place for the kids to stretch their legs during our stop in Lubbock. A good selection of games to play. Food was the only thing that knocked this review down a star. I came in with high expectations from the reviews and photos, but was disappointed from what came out from the kitchen. Food: Chips and salsa were decent, but free, so no complaints there. We ordered a kids pizza with fries - again, decent. My wife ordered the sirloin and I ordered the half order of ribs - both underwhelming. Again, let down due to higher expectations from the reviews we read and the pictures. I will say that next time, we will probably order from the Tex Mex options. Service: Friendly staff. Seated fairly quickly. Attentive server.

The food is not good, actually, it's gross. I have given them several chances over a few weeks, ordering different items from the menu and it's all just gross. On a bright note, the beer is cold. The arcade is fun.We'll probably go back for that.

So glad I found this place. Went there the first time by myself. Had a very Delicious meal. Tonight I got to bring co-workers and it was even better. My waitress Mackenzie was the same one I had when I was there before and she did an fantastic job!. It would have been five stars across the board if it weren't for the wine selection. The selection is robust and very appealing, but there were a lot of things that they were out of and other wines that weren't on the list. But don't let that deter you from going to this place because the food and the portions are perfect.

Wow and oh wow. What a wonderfully unexpected surprise while in town this spot is. Glad we found this artistic, quaint space and thrilled that we explored and shared the offerings family style. The meatballs were a huge hit, as were the white beans. We all agreed it seemed like they forgot to add any salt to the sardines, but the herbal flavors were nice. Fair warning that the peppers are considerably more heat than similar shishito dishes, but still good. Perhaps the nicest surprise was the wine that we ordered relative to its price point…win win. Will definitely be back if I can. Hand made offerings abound. PS- it would be nice to have pulpa on the menu for the deep Spanish vibe! Great service all the way around.

100000% worth it! Im not a fan of expensive restaurants in my opinion they are more for show, making the food pretty vs the food being unique & delicious but this place THIS PLACE! Is worth every single penny. We had a queso dip I can't remember the name (not pictured) and it sent my taste buds into a frenzy as soon as this deliciousness grazed my tongue. Have you ever had food that made you break out in a smile because it's eye rolling good? That's exactly what this queso did. It was only up from here too. We had the Barcelona pizza and it is unlike any pizza you'll taste anywhere else in LBK. We also had their special I can't remember what it was called but it came with saffron rice, shrimp and lamb.. the lamb was 🥴🤤. And as if this all was not enough the lighting & art were a whole vibe. Our waiter I can't remember his name (tall guy with long hair and a beard) but he's been my waiter every time I've gone and he's always so helpful, patient and willing to explain/help you with the menu especially the first time you go bc the menu is different than your typical restaurant in lbk and he never makes you feel silly for not understanding it or having questions. Absolutely love this place.

if you’re looking for an out-of-texas experience with five-star hospitality, la diosa is the destination for you. i received wonderful service and recommendations from my bartender and the broiled spanish sardines were exactly what i needed for an early dinner for one. bring friends and families here for tapas and wine to share for the best afternoon or evening. i will be returning!

The ambiance was great. We had the caprese salad, Blanca pizza, and creme Brulé. Sparkling wine was great and our server was so sweet. 10/10 would recommend and would come back.

We had the best brunch on Saturday! We got to try the brand new brunch menu and it was fantastic. The food was fabulous, the drinks were delicious, and our server Mason was very friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back on the next trip to Lubbock. 👏🏼

I went to Funky Door with my boyfriend for our anniversary, and it was nothing short of amazing! Our server was Elizabeth and she was great at providing descriptions and recommendations of all the drinks and food items. She was very friendly and quick with service! I got the butternut chicken gnocchi and it was so delicious!! My boyfriend got a cajun pasta which was also super savory and tasty (I ate off his plate too) we both shared the cheesy garlic bread which came with three sauces, pesto, tomato basil I think, and this tasty butter sauce, all incredibly good. We both also got dessert, the cheesecake funky door style and the Bourbon chocolate cake! I have to say though, the bourbon chocolate cake was absolutely incredible, literally melts in your mouth and rich in flavor with the toffee sauce add in!! The atmosphere was very romantic and sweet, there was a small band playing who were very funny and interactive. Overall 10/10 experience!! Highly recommend and will be coming back for more special events! (I only got a picture of the garlic bread because we absolutely devoured the rest of the food LOL)

Went to the Funky Door on a recent trip to Lubbock. It was also my 37th wedding anniversary so my wife and I were hoping for a stellar experience. We were not disappointed on any level. The atmosphere is dark and sultry. The service was a solid 10 out of 10. The drinks were even better. We mostly had several appetizers and the Fiesta fondue. Everything was fantastic. Finished with a slice of cheesecake flamed table side with 151 rum. Live music by Arle Ross was unexpected and outstanding.

Wonderful service and food. All my expectations were exceeded. Wonderful chicken and gnocchi and amazing cake. my friend had the Cajun pasta, and we shared a bottle of wine. Fantastic selection of wines

On November 4th, 2022 my girlfriend and I came to the Funky Door for a date after being together a month. We were not impressed then. The food was not as good as I wanted it to be, especially for the price. The service was still great back then though. Last night my now Fiancé and I went in for our 3 year anniversary and we had a very different experience. We loved it! I was amazed at how great everything was. The food, the drinks, the service, the vibes. All amazing! Scout was the highlight of the night for us, she made our anniversary night feel so special. She also recommended the only alcoholic drink my fiancé has ever actually enjoyed. Very impressed with our experience. We will definitely be back! P.S. The only reason for the 4/5 on atmosphere is because the live music was a little bit too loud. but it was still enjoyable.

This place isn't too bad, I'd say it's one of the better "upscale" restaurants. I say that in quotation marks because it wants to be an upscale resturant but still lacking a few things to truly encapsulate the price tag and atmosphere of an upscale restaurant. I was quite disappointed in their wine selection tbh. For a resturant that boasts the biggest wine inventory, majority of it is from California. Which in my opinion they were going for quantity over variety for boasting such a thing. California has started coming up in the wine industry but again in my opinion its very basic in terms of someone who likes wines from other countries and who do it better. Then me and my guest was practically forgotten by our server. I get it I'm a server as well and understand when it gets busy, things can get hectic. But I still make sure I check on my tables. I had to get our server for every interaction after our first order of wine and a salad. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she didn't want to interupt our conversation but I literally had to call her over when we wanted to order food and our check.

The service we received wasn’t great at all. It was my aunts birthday and we wanted to have a good meal. We were missing items from order and steaks over cooked, which happens. The service wasn’t good we had to look for server constantly for refills and ask for them when he came by. After we received food he didn’t return manager brought my steak back. We had to get our own boxes and Cam never took a single dish off the table unless we handed it to him. I’m here from Houston for my aunts birthday and it’s unfortunate we didn’t have a better experience. I think it’s a lack of training at this location. I even told the manager about our experience he was a younger man with brown long hair on the phone in the corner. Told me oh sorry about that I’ll go talk to him and walked away not even letting me finish telling him about my concern. I didn’t want anything free we already paid I just wanted to make someone aware of the experience so it could hopefully get better for the next guest. Management never did table touches to any table in our section. Which I think this would help with a lot of complaints to nip it from when it happens. Here is the table when we left.

Unfortunately it's not the experience that we normally get. After no wait time to be seated and fast drinks on the table and appetizer came out great, the main on the other side came out way under cooked for me to swallow it. I ordered a medium bone-in ribeye, came out raw like it barely touched the grill to get the color, after sending it back it came back cooked more but unfortunately it was still in the rare side and after couple cuts it was back to raw. Not what you expect from a steak house after a second try on the same piece of meat. Paid and left, was looking for a good meal not a free one. This is just a feedback because we love Texas road house and probably be back next week in hopes the issue being resolved and be able to get the expected service like any previous time.

We came into Texas Roadhouse last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and even though it was a packed house, we had a wonderful experience sitting at the bar. Our bartender Kaytlin was outstanding—quick, friendly, and efficient even on such a busy night. She kept things cheerful and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. The food was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the service couldn’t have been better. We truly enjoyed the evening and are already looking forward to coming back again soon!

12 oz ribeye steak. Cooked perfect. Baked potato and veggies. Everything was great. The only complaint I had was how loud it was. We couldn't hear everyone talking at our table. But it was a busy night. Not a good place for large groups for meetings.

I have not been to this particular location. I did however dine at the Wichita Falls location several times last week. I found out 1 of the old managers Ried is currently working this location now. He is absolutely amazing & I promise he is extremely attentive. I would bet the Lubbock location is a great place to dine at. Ried come to Green Bay & fix this location please!!! It’s terrible at best!! Long wait times even when the dining area is @ about 40% capacity. Servers playing on phones & or chatting with each other. The Wichita Falls location is still top notch by the way. Hello Ried hope all is well, Camryn was super fun. I see your nephew is still digging LeBron James much love brother!! Amazing food as always. Even though EVERY SINGLE seat was filled when we were there, completely packed, the staff were still fast, efficient, smooth and kind.

One of our favorites!!! Our go to place for steak and never had an issue. Always the best! Don’t miss their free dinner rolls, it is also mouth watering! Whatever I order is always superb! Yum!!!!! Just be prepared to have a fully charged phone and be busy with your phone for a long wait time. They also have free bag of nuts to keep you busy😂

Place is clean. Nice atmosphere 😎 Staff was a little inattentive. But we got someone else.... Appetizers took 35 min. *The food was good. We had steak 🥩 you can tell they're not 3D printed that's hard to come by these days. Thank Y'ALL for that 🙏 They have alcohol. Not sure how strong the drinks are.

The food was pretty good but the broccoli was a little undercooked and the steak was closer to a rare than a medium. I don't like to send food back because I just hate to think what the chef might do to it when I complain about something being undercooked - So, I just don't complain. I ate it and it was decent but they need to learn to temp their steaks

I travel quite a bit on business so I try new restaurants everywhere I go. For this place the first clue should have been the parking lot being fairly empty for dinner but I still gave the place a chance which was a mistake. The food was sub-par at best. I ordered the 16oz ribeye cooked medium with sautéed oniins abd mushrooms, sweet potato casserole, and Spanish style corn for my sides. While the ribeye was cooked to order atleast 6oz out of the 16oz was pure fat and the corn had so much vinegar in it that it was inedible. I sent the mushrooms and onions back to get sautéed a little long and literally got back 6 mushrooms and 5 onion pieces. The only positive about the restaurant was Colton the bartender. He made some good suggestions on which beers to try.

We eat here frequently, and today was the first day we were disappointed. The steak was very rare and tough. It is like whoever cooked it did not know what they were doing. It seems like it was cooked on one side but not the other. Our appetizer came out at the same time as the meal. Not a huge deal, but we think the waitress forgot to put the appetizer order in, then she blamed the kitchen. If they place you in a back booth by the kitchen ask to be reseated. The alarm in the kitchen goes off constantly. We eat at Aspen Creek Grill often and always have had a great experience. We wanted to share these concerns so they can be rectified.

Our server was personable and cute! The menu brags about their family raised beef. We had been traveling all day. We were looking forward to a nice chicken fried steak. The meat was anything but tender. There were many bites that couldn't even be chewed. My husband's was pink in the middle. I've never seen that in a chicken fried steak before. The batter on the steak and the onion rings was super crispy and tasted of old oil. It was near closing but I would rather be told something wasn't available than get a bad meal.

I don't usually leave 1 star reviews but the service this time was just non existent. Good food, but server named Katherine was non-existent the whole time and left us waiting 11 monutes and 53 seconds for to-go sweet teas and we had to wait 6 minutes to even get greeted. Terrible service, please hire better servers.

We arrived and were sat within about 5 minutes. Waitress didn't acknowledge our presence till about 10 mins later, which was honestly ok a little unsettling, but I hoped for the best so I could fully enjoy my dinner. We ordered waters and the food as well since we all had time to look over the menu. We didn't see anyone for about 15 minutes, not exaggerating. I wish I was. We finally recieved bread with 2 plates that had a black watery substance on them so i politely asked for more plates she said no problem brought back with 4 plates and said hopefully these would work, there was food still on these plates and they were full of water to were i had to dump em off the side to not spill it on the table. At the same time she then realizes we never had the water we asked for she leaves comes back with a plate of food for the surrounding tables twice and made sure to get all the condiments and everything they asked for. We received water and food about the same time, and it was a cook or some kitchen staff that didn't want it to get cold that brought it out to us. We were very satisfied with our food, which is the reason I didn't bring it up with management, but the food saved it the hassle that day. We had the 22oz porterhouse, which I need meat heads to confirm. That's what I received, but... it was all super flavorful. The kids' steak was perfect, and the Mac was mac 😆 but I hope for better service in the future, keep the food the same, though!

We just now found Longhorn Steakhouse! The filet is THE BEST steak I’ve ever eaten! And the fried shrimp appetizer for 12.00 is a full meal in itself!!!! Over a pound of fried shrimp! You’ll love this location! The Brussel sprouts, Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes are amazing!!!!

CARRY OUT- Food was ready when expected. We usually dine in. Our dine in experience is always very good. We ordered Parmesan chicken which was overcooked- the mashed potatoes were instant and just ok (probably because they didn’t have any baked potatoes sweet potatoes available). The hardest thing to believe is that the fresh loaf of bread was partially eaten and seemed to be a day old. I would love to talk to a manager about this. I posted pictures.

Longhorn NEVER disappoints. I have been a gradual convert for awhile now. I love going to Steakhouses and have been to dozens of high end places. None of them touch Longhorn for value if it's all about the steak. Longhorn has a homey, family oriented atmosphere (not necessarily for the anniversary romantic dinner). Really solid steaks for about 1/3 for price of top end steak houses. Service has always been top notch and attentive. In today's world of dining out.....very, very hard to beat Longhorn.

The steak was well cooked and tender, not too dry. I got the 6 oz filet. Atmosphere was hospitable.

Worst Longhorn I've ever been to, and I usually love this place. Our waitress was running the bar and doing carryout orders, so we never saw her. After about 30 minutes, the manager came and apologized, but couldn't even look at us. Some guy refilled our teas with warm tea that melted the little ice left in the glass. My steak was the only one of three that came out correct. Not sure that we will be back.

Based on price point, location, etc., this place is awesome! My steaks have been delicious. Service has been excellent. It is a required visit for my family when we come to Lubbock. You can't beat the value. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights a bit more and offer more small table lighting in place of the big lights.

Food was very good and came quickly. Service was outstanding. All staff was very attentive. It got very busy while we were there (we were seated before the rush) and it was still a very comfortable noise level. The bill was $132 (before tip) for 2 large draft beers, 2 grand marnier, 2 prime rib dinners, and fried onions as appetizer. Salad and bread also. Reasonably priced. The atmosphere and ability to get the entire order correct and timely was well worth it!

We placed a pick up order for 5:30pm. This was the ASAP time that self populated at check out. My husband arrived a few minutes early and the hostess went to the back to check. She said they were working on it and that it should be out shortly. 25 minutes later my husband went up to the bartender to add a cup of ranch to the order and he stated that the order should already be out. We live 3 miles (6 minutes) from Saltgrass. When he arrived home the kids meals (hamburger with Mac and cheese and a pizza) and the side of fries weren’t even warm to the touch. The steaks and baked potato were tepid. We ordered medium rare and one of them was blue. The other steak tasted like it had been placed on the grill where the previous item had been burned and it picked up all the burnt residue. I imagine the order was indeed ready shortly after the hostess checked and then it sat there. We assumed by doing pick up at a higher end steakhouse that the quality would reflect such, but we were sorely mistaken. Had the restaurant been busy the wait/miss could have even been understandable, but there were very few patrons (according to my husband) and the quality of the food we received may very well represent why.

The smothered bourbon bacon was delicious! The flavor was perfect! I will order this again real soon. This is also a Laundry's location VIP status! If you don't have one of these card or membership ask!!!! Clairewas awesome with service at the Lubbock Saltgrass. She gave a great experience and friendly atmosphere thank you.

Great steaks! We immediately ordered the fried pickles before the big meal. They were fried to perfection. Then, my husband ordered the New York steak and requested it to be smothered with mushrooms alongside the asparagus. I had an 8oz sirloin steak... cooked medium rare with asparagus, and it was absolutely delicious. Great meal.

We had a birthday dinner party of 12. The food was delicious and was brought out in a timely manner. The staff were really helpful and nice. Our waiter even turned the AC up because my mom was cold. He was very attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and esthetically pleasing. I would definitely recommend trying Saltgrass if you haven't and we'll definitely be eating there again!

I came for my daughter’s birthday dinner, and it was wonderful! The staff greeted us super nicely, and I believe the manager’s name was Julio. He was very open with us about the wait, and we got seated within about 10 minutes! This was my family’s first time here, and they have a lot of different food to choose from. We were overwhelmed *in a good way*. The manager kept coming around asking if everything was okay. I asked for a food recommendation for our first time, and he was so pleasant about it and gave me a good recommendation! The vaquero tacos were yum! The overall experience, from the food to the people, especially the waiter who was also very patient, the manager, and the atmosphere, was a 10/10! We will come back!

This place isnt all that, the service was bad. We had a waitress name Gabby. She took long in getting our drinks ,then we ordered an appetizer and was never brought to us, after she took our order , she came back 20 minutes later and said they only had prime rib for 2 out of 3 three that ordered it , so my son ordered something else. After that. 15 minutes later some man came to us did not introduce himself and said the prime rib was burnt so we had to order something else, it took long to get our order. I ordered a double vodka tall with topo chico and they charged me 21.50 . We were very disappointed. they only offered us a free dessert. Lol. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

We had such high hopes for this place. We were so disappointed. I had the Stroganoff and it was inedible. Everyone at the table tasted it and spit it out. Our party also had Pork and chicken Alfredo and some sunflower seed chicken. It was all gross. No one finished it. The bread was a cross between a corn bread density and a cake like texture. Bread is my comfort food and I couldn’t eat it. We have never been so disappointed in food before. I can’t recommend this place at all. The building is also very run down.

First time eating here. W were a group of 4. Atmosphere: Tables were a little to close together for my likening. But very tasteful decor inside. Food: Two of the meals were perfect, Two not. Let's start with the good ones, * I had Stroganoff and it was the best I've ever had. The noodles were a perfect thickness and the a very good amount of meat, the sauce was absolutely delicious. ( Highly Recommend) price was only $18.00 which I felt was a bargain. * Scallops Dinner was very good the my friend said it was delicious. * Pad Thai the taste was good but they left off the peanuts and that was a little disappointing. Serving was very large. * Here is the disappointing meal, The Beef Tenderloin was very very dry, it was cooked Medium rare which was perfect but way to dry. My friend asked for horseradish he waited so long that he ate the steak and it arrived as he took the last bite. His asparagus and potato was delicious. The star of the meal; The Bloody Mary's oh my goodness they were delicious. Strange part of meal was the hard rolls, I mean hard LOL. Overall meal was good, just seems the steak had been refrigerated way too long to dry out.

Solid restaurant, but they were busy and having a hard time keeping up. Service was slow due to short staffing. Nevertheless we were able to eat, the food was pretty good, warm and flavorful, and service was not a problem. I had the chicken fried steak, along with the stuffed jalapeños appetizer. Give it a try.

I adore this place!!! A hidden gem of Lubbock, It is definitely worth checking out! They have an assortment of mixed drinks, and their menu is varied but not so vast that it's impossible to make up your mind. Our service was incredible, and we would absolutely love to return! The Stuffed Avocado is a must have 😋

I went to Cafe J with a friend for brunch on Saturday. We both ordered the chicken fried steak (me with biscuits and my friend with waffles). The food came out savory and well portioned! I give Cafe J big props on how they cook there asparagus. The price was affordable for the portion. Overall 4.5/5 stars Would recommend the restaurant

This place looks little old but still on shape. Talking about the staff. They were nice and polite. Starting with appetizer we had pork potstickers. The potstickers were nice but I felt there should have been more meat. Next thing the pork chop was dry, lack of salt and excess pepper. The rice served with dish was best thing about the dish. Moving on cajun chicken Alfredo was nice but there should have been more Cajun seasoning to enhance the flavor.

Had gotten drinks here before but never had the food. Chicken fried steak and chicken Tikka masala were fantastic. Jacob provided great service and looking forward to being back

I liked this place. Pretty good variety of food...some good Mexican style dishes. Our service was great considering we had 25 in our party. This place has good Gulten Free options and vegetarian options. Prices are a little high but that is pretty normal these days, but you do get a good portion. the restaurant is a nice place, and I love the story behind it...if you are inclined to look it up but 100% of profits to employees and community is pretty amazing. This was my first time at this restaurant and I walked away full and happy...The food is on par for what I expected, and our service bumped my score up a star. 4/5

Upscale Mexican food dining experience. Great restaurant with professional and friendly staff. The birria tacos were top notch, with fluffy flavorful Spanish rice, and good charro beans. The chips and salsa also great. The house margarita was better than most premium margaritas, maybe house is in reference to its size?!

We visited on a weekend and there was a bit of a wait for a 5 top table. Decided to try out the bar and start with a Chilton Flight! Each flavor was delicious and more different than the previous. Chips snd salsa were great. The bartender was awesome so when our table was ready I opted to continue with the bar service. The menu offers many options so I asked for a recommendation. Our food was delicious and of very good quality. We had been waiting so long to try this restaurant and it surpassed all our expectations. Fantastic all around. We will be back on our next visit to Lubbock. Can’t wait.

Don't order the "steak". Served hamburger meat mixed with grounded steak meat and selling it as a cut of beek. Their response was that they aerated the cut of beef. 35 bucks for that crap and two of us ordered the same thing. My dog loved it though. Still charged us full price.

We had a reservation here after work one evening based on a coworker’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Our table was ready before we arrived, complete with chips and salsa waiting for us. Our server (whose name I unfortunately missed) was attentive and friendly, and the manager stopped by several times once she learned it was our first visit as a party of seven. Both made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent — I ordered the street tacos and enjoyed all three varieties. Everyone in our group loved their meals, and the margaritas were fantastic. We travel to Lubbock often, and Picoso’s has definitely earned a spot on our must-visit list. Thank you to the team for such a great dining experience!

Enjoyed some delicious Mexican food at this family-owned local restaurant. The decor is beautiful and our server was great. The shrimp, chicken and beef fajitas were all cooked perfectly and oh so good. The tortillas were fresh and the chips and queso were wonderful. Our enchiladas were yummy. We want the recipe for their rice. It was the best we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

I went to Picoso’s with friends on a Saturday night for dinner. We were seated right away, ordered & were served drinks quickly. I ordered a birria taco & it was delicious & and more than I could eat. We shared fried bread for appetizer & it, too was delicious. Then we shared sopapillas for desert. I did not leave this restaurant hungry! The next time I visit Lubbock, I will be sure to go back.

This is a very unique restaurant with its own flare and flavors! You really need to go and try it out. I cannot recommend high enough! The salsa has its own tangy unique taste and I loved it. I really appreciate how out of the box and unique each dish was. And get here early or make reservations— this place is POPULAR. This is the sort of restaurant that deserves a 2 hour trip just to eat at. There wasn’t a kids menu but the waitress had lots of ways to accommodate this! Try them out!!!!

Recommended for date night and special occasions where you're willing to shell out a few extra dollars. This isn't the type of place to get large portion meals; it's more for the atmosphere and socializing. I would not say it's a kid friendly place. Great wine and cocktail selection. Tapas portions are perfect for a little something to pair with your wine, and the main dishes are a much more hearty amount if that's what you're looking for. $35 for two tiny lamb chops is a little steep even with all things considered (though it was delicious and cooked perfectly). Pulled quail empanadas were lovely. Watermelon margherita was refreshing, recommended with the jalapenos for a zing! Coconut rum cake was the only let down of the meal- very hard and dry, like it had been sitting in the fridge for a few days. Otherwise a very tasty experience, but for the price, I was hoping for exceptional taste.

I’ll start with the good: The appetizers and the fries were the best things. The drinks were pretty good as well. The theme and the aesthetic of the restaurant is nice too. The bad: The entree’s are definitely overpriced and nothing special. The service also wasn’t impressive and didn’t like the attitude or vibe of the staff. The service felt curt and rushed rather than what you'd expect from an upscale establishment. I’m giving it a 2, expensive, worth trying once, but nothing memorable enough to bring you back.

This is the BEST RESTAURANT IN LUBBOCK, TEXAS. HANDS DOWN. If you want actual food that's sustainable and not frozen or from a can, LET'S GET IT!!! ALSO! The owners are WOMEN who I have grown up with and admire EVERYDAY. It's so good to be home. #MERMAIDS4EVER

This place was phenomenal! We enjoyed the pulled quail empanadas, roasted duck guiso, & mason jar thres leches. Our server was very polite & attentive. Highly recommend this place for a date night or if you in the mood for some exotic flavors.

This gem of a restaurant had amazingly fresh food delicious drinks and amazingly accommodating of our little guy. They even added some veggies to their cheese board to make it healthier for our kiddo. They were so conscientious of allergies and so very vegetarian friendly without adding substitutes to cover flavor. They highlighted the vegetables and didn’t cover them. Don’t get me wrong, they have a wonderful selection of non vegetarian options. Such great service and will definitely come back when in the area again.

We came to celebrate our friend Norma for her birthday. We were delighted as we started with the charcuterie petite cheese board and the salsa trio. It was a great combination to satisfy everyone preferences. The food was AMAZING! So many choices and I ordered the Pan Seared Salmon Veracruz. It was delightful and needed no extra salt or pepper. It was wonderful. Our waiter was an absolute gentleman and very attentive. I recommend this to everyone, you should go for any special occasion. 5 💫 Love Shell ♥️

Great service here at this theater, ordered our tickets online to beat the rush when going to see the movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. I like the fact you have an eating table you can eat your meals on, I was flabbergasted that you can actually order real meals not just popcorn, hot dogs and your normal food at theaters. Bathroom was clean and I like that this place reminded me of the older theaters back in the day. Only issue we had here was the popcorn, once we got home we felt sick from the popcorn, went home and threw it up. Not sure what was up with the popcorn

Denied my three-year-old to watch Jurassic world with my family because of some strict age policy they claim they have? Also couldn’t get a refund for her or myself so they gave me 2 tickets for a rainy day policy. I don’t want to come back to use those tickets so I’ll be donating them. I guess families with smaller children are not welcome here at all. We went to the mall movie theater and had a great time. I definitely will not be back or spend my $ here again. Some people have families and kids and also want them to enjoy the movies and outings with their families too and not be left out. This place is only for adults or people with no children, not family oriented at all.

This is the best movie theater in Lubbock. It's a nice building, the seats are very comfortable, the service is usually good, and the food and drinks are, too. When a movie comes out I try to see it at Alamo first, we're lucky to have them in our market. Be sure to tip your server well! Constructive comment: The sign is looking a little rough, and the decor in the main entrance hasn't changed much since opening. Maybe time for a refresh?

Went in around 8 pm and was going to grab a beer and a snack. Sat at the bar and no bartender. Waited about 5 minutes, bartender came and served someone that got there after we did and came to us. We asked for a menu and she tossed us two and disappeared again. Waited another couple of minutes and left. Very poor service.

This is great place it has the pass called the Alamo Season pass u pay a price of 19.99 for a month and get unlimited movies. What that mean u can get $10 off your movie ticket and only pay the app fee which is like $2. You get 2 movie per day everyday. But it is only in the app not a in person thing. Ps only work for the movie ticket not the Food or drink sadly. Other than that great way to spend you free time. If u need a litte more information about it check the app. My honest review.

This place not only has over priced food, but somehow they not only tipped themselves after the movie had ended but then proceeded to pull $35 two days prior!!!!

I held a private music based event at this location last night. The team helped me make my event as great as I had hoped it would be. They provided me with tables and a microphone. I formed a game plan for the order of events, and the projectionist executed it perfectly and helped make the night memorable! The managers were very welcoming and accommodating. The wait staff did an excellent job and there were no complaints about any food or drink orders. I plan to hold more events here in the future and I would absolutely recommend them for any private theater events!

Good Cajun food. For being in West Texas. The server was great. It's not a big restaurant. Has a bar. Lunch time was good to get a table. Open at 11 am.

3rd time coming back still 5 stars for me. I came in for a quick bite for lunch, ample seating, not too busy, quick to serve. Kayla was my server and so sweet. Catfish with fries was delicious. Thank yall so much. Hush puppies were perfection.

We sent our first dishes back because they tasted like tomato soup mixed with rice, and when we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, the sauce was liquid and everything was bland. For $106 dollar tab, this experience was disappointing and we will not be coming back.

I would describe this place as a bar that serves food. It definitely had that bar vibe going on. We went for the food and was not disappointed. I had the chicken fried steak. It said hand breaded, I asked before ordering if it really was. The waitress said yes so I went ahead and ordered it. It was the best one I've had in a very long time. My wife had the shrimp alfredo. She really loved it. It had a lot of shrimp also. I love Dr. Pepper and theirs is mixed to perfection. Not since I have toured the Dr. Pepper plant have i had a perfectly balanced one. That made me very happy. They changed the Dr. Pepper it no longer the best in lubbock. It's sub ok now. Put the Dr. Pepper back like it was. That was a main reason we returned. I took a star away for the depressing Dr. Pepper.

Ordered out and catfish, crawdads tails, and shrimp were all bland with no seasoning in the breading. Dirty rice and red beans and rice were overly spicy to a point the flavor wasn’t enjoyable. Portions are also an issue. If a family of three orders a meal and the price comes out to $60 you should probably get a reasonable amount of food.

It's more of a bar atmosphere now than a restaurant it used to be. We asked for bread our meal and received 2 slices of toasted bread. The hushpuppies with my boyfriend's meal were so hard he said he could have broke glass with them!! won't The Chicken Ala Mier was extremely dry, I ate it, but I had to drink all my drink to get it down. :( normally it has a gravey with it nit this time. Sad. We won't be back to Gator's Bayou in Lubbock Texas ant time soon.

Great place but we were waiting for our waiter for long periods of time (to get our drinks and to get the check) The toast on the chicken fried steak was hard and no butter. Besides that not a bad place to dine.

Food was okay but not very well seasoned. Very bland. Service was okay but not the best waitress would walk by multiple times leaving the drinks empty. Had to ask multiple times even when leaving the empty cup on the side of the table visible. As far as the restaurant they have a touch tunes box where you can play music but you’re not allowed to play anything besides country. They have all other genres blocked so that was a bit of a let down. Guess you could say it’s not a very inclusive place. Wouldn’t really recommend.

We ordered potato skins, they were awful! Our waitress ignores us & rolls her eyes when ordering. If everyone receives service like this, I can completely understand why they don't get more business

Stopped in on a Thursday night and the place was jumping for karaoke night. It’s more of a country and western vibe but the DJ does try to mix it up with some other genre’s of music. The bartenders were good and the food was good as well. I would recommend coming here if your into C&W.

I was expecting a food place with a bar, not a bar with food. It was a Friday and there was a 5 cover for entertainment, not a big deal…..but they made it a big deal. In the middle of my meal, a member of staff, not my wait person, specifically and personally told me there was a 5 cover. About 15 minutes earlier the female staff member with a back 40 shirt on was seated at the bar drinking shots and goading another patron to get me to move to the bar seat next to him. I thought it was weird and I told them I was good where I was……eating my dinner at the time. It seemed deliberate and rude that she mentioned with some extra attitude that they would be adding a 5 cover charge to my bill if I didn’t leave in 30 minutes. Santa Fe chicken, mashed potatoes and a salad. Meh, pretty bland and definitely not worth the hassle. I will not be “back“.

Usually we enjoy coming here but today was a different experience The owner wasn’t working which explains why the employees were sitting & laying in a booth. All employees were on their phones all the time. Bartender was enjoying conversation with her two friends. The draft ultra was flat, had a funky taste. Hamburger was overcooked & dry. Onion rings were grease. It’s sad young adults do not take pride in where they work & receive a paycheck. They definitely were not earning their wage today.

After enjoying our day at the winery, we stopped to watch the Texas Tech game. Of course, we snacked on appetizers and alcoholic drinks. We ordered the bacon wrapped jalepenos and fried pickles, which were both great. It's always good to drink responsibly with friends.
