Fun things to do in Grand Haven: 24 fun attractions and activities

The sites were spectacular and their accommodations were great. Lake Michigan was wonderful and the lighthouse was so special. The paths that they laid down on the sand made it easy to get near the water without sinking in the sand. I have never seen the material that was used, but even more "mature" people could walk easily on the paths.

Love this state park, so cool being able to camp right on the beach and the water! The spots are very tight though so keep that in mind, it took me a couple tries to get in the spot and I usually never have a problem with backing up my camper. I could barely fit my camper and truck in my spot, but once you get over how tight it is, it is a beautiful place. I will say be careful getting a site next to the bathrooms by the river, they do not turn off the outside lights and they are super bright at night, no problem for us in a camper we could just close the blinds but a tent would be rough.

Our first RV night experience in Michigan was amazing at this park right on the beach and a canal. We loved the biking and the walks along the canal, as well as the experiences in town, including the nightly water feature with great music and ice cream!😍

Thanks to the state for providing such a nice public beach with easy access for everyone. The beach is spacious with fine sand, and the restrooms and shelters are well maintained. Lots of parking spots, grills and picnic tables for BBQ, and volleyball nets.

We stayed directly across from the entrance to the park so we had easy access. It's beautiful, well -maintained and supervised. Promptly at 10 the parking lot was cleared of revving motors and people. There is a well-stocked gift shop with fun stuff and things you may have forgotten.

I made a 3 hour drive to this park simply to take pictures of the lighthouse at sunset. The park closes promptly at 10, they used a bullhorn to announce the park closing and cars need to be out by 10. Well, the lights on the pier didnt turn on until 9:30 and its a 10 minute walk to the parking lot. If you're there to take pictures, either enjoy the 20 minute window or park outside of the state park parking lot literally anywhere else so you have more time to stay. Besides the narrow photo window, the lighthouse was gorgeous and offered a very nice walk up and down the pier. There are SOO many people there during the day, and even into sunset its very crowded. The window of very little people happens at 9:55 right before having to run back to the parking lot lol

Needed a roadtrip and some time to decompress from the evils of the world. Decided to head up to Grand Haven and take a nice long walk at their State Park. Ended up witnessing amazing views, friendly people and an amazing new to me tan. “I’ll be back” 😎

It's a beautiful place, one of my favorites on the East shore of Lake Michigan. It's highly recommended in the summertime when the weather is nice and you can enjoy the beaches and parks in the area.

Google 'West Michigan' and it wouldn't surprise me if this appeared. Very busy in the summer and very cold in the winter. An iconic place to visit and a beautiful beach.

Long concrete pier (probably almost 1/4 mile) on Grand Haven Beach with a lighthouse and another building structure at the end. Day I was there it was super windy and had large waves that made the Pier slick. Beautiful and popular at sunset ! Day I was there it was free to enter. A must-see in Grand Haven !

Such a cool place to visit, definitely enjoyed our little stroll here. The views are super awesome too. It can get windy at times, so plan accordingly. Beware that it does require additional caution to walk here, especially because there are no barriers or fences between the walking area and the water (couldn't emphasize that enough). Other than that, absolutely recommend! Definitely hope to visit again in the future.

If you park at the state park you'll have to walk across campground and beach to access. Super busy beach very clean and safe, beautiful area.

The kids never tire of the fountain light show, with fresh music and a crowd full of pure joy to enjoy it with, this a must see if you're in the area in the summer. It's a wonderful time, no matter your age.

The fountain and audio in on a big hill on the other side of the river. I saw it years ago, it was street level in a park like setting with people watching from all sides. I wasn't a fan of the Christmas Music in July on the eve of the Coastguard Festival. Sorry, maybe just disappointed because it wasn't like my childhood memory. Still it was nice, especially for a free event.

My kids love the Musical Fountain! It’s like a quaint small town version of a Las Vegas fountain show. I believe it is programmed by local volunteers. We loved the Taylor Swift show, among others.

My mom said we were going to see the ‘singing fountain.’ I imagined beauty. Elegance. Maybe even magic. Instead, I got hit by more water than Niagara Falls. The wind changed direction mid‑song and suddenly I was drenched head to toe like I’d been baptized against my will. My shoes squished for hours. My phone almost drowned. The fountain doesn’t sing; it screams as it soaks innocent bystanders. Meanwhile, my mom is clapping like it’s Broadway while I’m just praying for towels. Three star — unless you’re into accidental waterboarding disguised as family entertainment

What a Concert last night by Gary Sinise & his Lt. Dan Band. Culminated by a spectacular light show & Fireworks. Oh what a night to Remember!

The Grand Haven Musical Fountain never gets old! I’ve lived in Grand Haven my whole life, and even after all these years I still love going to see the show. It’s something truly special about this town—music, lights, and water all perfectly synced together. Our kids are just as mesmerized as we are, and it’s become a family favorite every summer. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth, it’s always magical. Highly recommend to anyone visiting or living nearby!

It's a park across from dancing fountains. They have cement seating or you can bring camping chairs.

This was a perfect way to get out of the heat for a bit while we were downtown. You could probably spend an hour in here with all of the things to look at and learn about. There were some interactive parts to the exhibits, as well as coloring areas. The museum is free, but you can donate at the front desk.

This local history museum if the area is super impressive. Very well done. And admission is free. Check it out!

This is a cool place to browse the history of the area around Grand Haven. We were impressed with the many carefully curated displays that told stories of years gone by. Stop in and browse, knowing some local history will always be beneficial.

Such a cool little museum. It tells the history of the Tri-Cities (Grand Haven, Spring lake, Ferrysburg) from when Native Americans lived in the area to present day. It has some gorgeous woodwork in mahogany from an old Victorian home along with a lumber saw. In the upstairs they had a special exhibit for the Coast Guard which was beautiful to walk through. Can easily get through it in about an hour, give or take, depending on how much you want to read. Would recommend.

Interesting place. Tucked away amongst the small shops but has three separate floors with displays to browse through. Artwork, sculptures, historical text and info on the logging industry that helped jumpstart civilization in the northern states. Some exhibits are setup to show how life was back during that time. There is also a beautiful hall upstairs that would be ideal for receptions banquets, etc. Information on the US Coast guard can also be found here.

It's a small museum in Grand Haven where we spent about an hour. It is a main exhibition about the history of the area on the first floor, and upstairs an exhibition of painting and fashion over time. Admission is free but donations can be made.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Good mix of exhibits that cater towards adults and kids. Awesome play room for the kids. Can't beat the price of free.

Excellent signage and nicely maintained trail and stairs. If you follow Red #1 to Acorn trail it is a bit longer loop to the next sign, Red #2. If you take Jean Laug-Carroll trail (nearer to the restrooms) it is a more direct route to Red #2 then on to #3 and the beach. It is about 0.75 miles to the beach/water. With lots of stairs. The trail meanders through the woods so there is plenty of shade until the last section and beach. The beach and views of L Michigan are beautiful and the sunsets must be spectacular. Please note: some moron dropped and hypodermic needle on the beach. So watch your step! I disposed of it back at the parking lot. Also note: there is a kiosk at the trail head. The day use fee is $8 to Ottawa County. No pets are allowed and the MI state park sticker is not valid.

Our bus load of 48 people really enjoyed our hour and a half here on April 26. Parking is free before Memorial Day in the spring. The trails are well kept and it is such a nice view of the lake. The bathrooms were also well maintained.

One of the nicest trails ever! Hike through a beautiful forest trail with plenty of steps...stairs, and the down to dunes and the beach of Lake Michigan. Loved it!

My wife and I had a very nice 4 mile hike all around the park. We walked down to the beach and swam for an hour or so. A beautiful park and very well maintained

Good hike, lots of stairs so be warned. Kids and I did it in "stair bursts" and it was a good workout. Saw a deer and lots of chipmunks. $8 day pass/$25 county annual pass

We love visiting Rosy mound, love the beautiful scenery. Catching the sunset is the best and hiking their paths.

The Grand Haven City Beech is usually deserted during the school year, and is a great place to take kids to run, play in the sand, and unwind before bed. Beautiful sunsets can be seen here as it sets over the water, and offers a great view and walk to the Grand Haven pier and lighthouses. Enjoy the nearby geocaching opportunities and swim in the lake. Be aware of the rules and limitations that exist during red flag wave conditions. God bless and enjoy the great creation that the Lord has blessed us with!

Amazing places to go for a walk or swimming depending on the weather . Water is surprisingly clear and soft sand . No pets allowed on the beach area or alcohol beverage.Amazing Lake Beach .

Pros: Nice beach walkable from downtown Grand Gaven. Nice channel path from downtown. Nice bathrooms. Cool light house. Cons: sometimes crowded, some trash around, camping spots/trailers are right on beach with not a lot of space between and no trees. Basically a parking lot campground.

Very beautiful beach! The water is amazing compared to other beaches in Michigan. So far, the best beach we ever visited in Michigan. A downside is the limited parking. We had to wait and drive in circles to find a spot. I hope they can do something about it. The other downside is that there are only two bathrooms where you have to wait in a long line to go to. Otherwise, it is a nice place to enjoy the sun in Michigan.

I came here 28years ago as a kid and loved this park! Today, I brought my children. It was magical sharing this place with my family! They just loved it & my 65year old father even ran around like he was 12 ❤️ It looks damn good for 30. Though the tire climb was removed & a few other prices were removed it made no difference. Thank you for this amazing place & an amazing generational park.

Went to check this out with 2 of my Grandchildren and they loved it. Lots of variety with vintage and new equipment.

This park was up to date with some of the specialty swings (including the face to face parent/child one we love!), in-ground merry-go-round (that we saw folks using easily with a few wheelchairs! Yay!), four-person see-saw, and a “conveyor belt slide.” We loved that there was a fence to keep the kids easily corralled s but and otherwise encouraging running and the like. The surface is that spongy soft playground surface and is in good shape.

This is a great park for kids! The whole area has a fence around it and there are tons of things to play on. Everything here has safety in mind for your little ones.

First time coming here for my girls ages 11 and 9 and they had fun. Even I joined them. Good job It wasn't too busy and there was benches to have a picnic. We really enjoyed our time here.

This is my family's favorite beach! I love that it is smaller and has a playground not too far from the water. The parking is also right by the beach so I don't have to carry all my beach stuff (and my kids) very far to get to the beach.

Perfect spot if you dont want overcrowded. Parking is easy, playground for the kids, pavilion to get out of the sun, lots of boat activity to watch and close to all things Grand Haven!! Will definitely be back!

Very nice beach with covered Pavillion area, sidewalks, bathrooms and shower. Wasn't to bust, easy parking and access. Would make a great place for birthday party or social event

Had a church cookout there. We had everything we needed. There were 2 other parties going on. There was plenty of room that we did not interfere with each other. The upkeep is evident. It is beautiful with wonderful trails! It is a great place for a picnic!

We rode our bikes from west Olive to the park. Very nice clean park, small beach area. Playground, fishing dock. We came back a few days later with our kayaks and went around the waterway. Looked like quite a few fish, swans,ducks, geese and other critters. Nice little paddle on a beautiful day

This is such a nice little park! We took kayaks and went in the water. We were able to park fairly close to the launch point and appreciated the kayak launch. Tons of water birds and eagles everywhere.

Love this park. Very few tourists know about this park so it is mostly locals. Lots of trees and shaded areas plus shallow water for the kids to play in. Nice playground although the kids complain about the sand getting to hot on very hot days.

This is by far my favorite park it's got a swimming area.. play ground and areas to grill... No big crowds .. trails and fishing dock taking this a one stop shot for the whole family

My favorite parts are the Kids Parade, Cardboard Boat Race, the Parade of Ships, Ship Tours, the Grand Parade, seeing the helicopter flybys and demonstrations throughout, and seeing the recruiters. All these are free of charge! Other aspects do have a cost like the carnival, concerts, etc. - Kids Parade: Still a rather large and full parade on the first Saturday at 10:30 AM. In 2024, they started at 5th Street and Franklin Avenue, West on Franklin to 1st Street, North on 1st Street to Washington Avenue, East on Washington to 5th Steet. I stood at 5th and Washington for pictures which was nice to get great lighting with the sun behind me, but it was at the end of the parade (some get tired) and the front view can be limiting. They do throw candy and so on. - Cardboard Boat Race: Also on the first Saturday, but at 1:30 PM at the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium. There are two classes of racers that are age based. There are often some boats that sink, but many make it through the three rounds of races. There are several awards based on time, design, and best sinking. The kids love it! - Parade of Ships: Several Coast Guard Cutters come into port Monday at 1 PM. You can see them well before then in the distance and typically you can track them on several websites that track marine traffic worldwide. You can watch from Grand Haven State Park, many places along the board walk, or the North Pier (which is where I was). The North Pier has limited parking so get there at least two hours early or you will have to walk a long distance (like me). - Ship Tours: After the Parade of Ships, you can tour the inside of the ships that are moored. They allow you into many parts of the ships including the bridge, decks, mess (cafeteria), and you can look into the engine areas and officers quarters (though not go inside). - Grand Parade: It is grand! Lots of floats, cars, Coast Guard displays, boats, and officers. They do throw candy and so on. My son got a T-Shirt from one of the floats last year (2023). - Helicopter flybys and demonstrations: A half hour before the Cardboard Boat Race, there was a water rescue demonstration. This was my favorite part in 2024! Amazing to understand the logistics, safety measures, procedures, and power of the helicopter. - Recruiters: Not just Coast Guard, but also other branches. 2023, they had a punching bag that rated the force of your punch. This year the Army recruiters have chin-up bars and deadlift. If you perform well, you are given US Army accessories. I don’t think they have strict standards, but reward based on how impressed they are. There is also still other activity with ships coming into harbor, the amazing city culture and architecture, sculptures, beach, and lighthouses that makes it multifaceted. I love visiting Grand Haven! It’s at its best during the Coast Guard Festival. Honor, support, and celebrate our U.S. Department of Homeland Security United States Coast Guard men and women. They keep us safe from threats at the border, rescue, monitor, patrol, and keep us informed. They are a strong, helpful, and cheerful part of our military and nation!

Cardboard Boat Race is the best event. Must see !! And the fireworks are cool too.

Had a great time at the Coast Guard Cruise In Car show Great Vehicles cars, trucks, bikes, pancake breakfast put on by the Grand Haven Bucs Sports Boosters was wonderful and yummy. The volunteers running the show were friendly and helpful, local businesses were accommodating and friendly. Huge friendly crowd all thru the show. Big shout out to Lake Side Eats Deli for their wonderful food and delivery service. A great fun time Thanks to all!!

We always have a great time at Coast Guard festival! We actually incorporated the ship tours into our 12 year anniversary celebration! The volunteers from Coast Guard were wonderful on the tours! The volunteer for the virtual reality marine event was very personable and professional! We absorbed a lot of information about the preparation of and travel to grand Haven for the ships! I was at the Eagles Friday as well as Saturday. The bands were great, great bartenders (Erin was the best). Okay Mexican food, water available for non alcoholic drinks. The Coast Guard festival was great! There was also fireworks!

The whole town gets together to make sure everyone has a Great time! After the famed Musical Fountain, we like to stand at the end of Washington St. to watch the fireworks. Some go out on boats to watch. GREAT TIME!! GREAT MEMORIES!! ....Just Sayin'

Well organized event. It would be great to see the "1" in the 100 straightened up before the 2024 festival is over. It looks a little amateurish as it is now,

Was absolutely amazing UNTIL the new manager. New manager TOOK AWAY FREE GAMES!!! Which have been going on for my whole life at least (16+ years). Also since when are 11 year olds adults not children?? Unfortunate that another one of our traditions in grand haven has been lost. I’d love to speak about this to the manager and have a conversation about what they are doing if they take away free games (such as pay workers more, revamp golf course, etc.) also over the years the course has become a bit more run down, it would be great to see it redone and free games come back! But until those things change, my review stands. (Reviewed Sunday, July 28th, 2024)

I enjoyed this eighteen course. Each of the greens is short, so it may not be challenging for avid players. Price is VERY reasonable & there are other activities to do along the pier that make for a super outdoor summer day!

Been going here all my life and it was nice to see it had recently been redone. Some of the features were changed, some becoming harder and others becomig easier but the overall look was greatly improved. It's only three dollars for an adult to play and it is possible to win a free game on the last hole. It's practically in town so if you need a place to have a little fun that's not the beach I highly recommend it!

Very fair prices ($2 for kids and seniors $3 for adults) and fun course with cool holes! Been going here for years and they do pretty good maintenance and updates on the course. only 4 stars because they close all the time without warning and are constantly changing their hours due to being staffed by the local high school which is frustrating for scheduling.

It's a nice little diversion from the other activities in Grand Haven. The course is small, but offers an interesting variety of 18 holes. And the price is very reasonable. Definitely recommend for a family to dry off after the kids have soaked themselves in the nearby splash pad.

Went in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Was very chill. Nice set up. There are shady areas but mostly in direct sun. There aren't places to sit along the way but the game moves fast. Nice set up.

If you like lighthouse, this is s great way to get to 'em! The city has done a job making this long pathway along the river so that everyone can access the pier, and it's a short walk up into town from here as well.

This is a fantastic state park! The beach is extremely large with ample parking. It has public restrooms and food trucks. There were many volleyball courts for anyone to use. The pier out to the lighthouse was one of our delights. We walked out to the end and watched the boats coming in and out of the marina. We spent a couple of hours there in the wonderful sun and enjoying the water views! This is a must see destination in Grand Haven!

Perfect for a nice stroll before or after the lighthouse. Very well maintained grounds. Perfect for watching boats come in and go out of the lake. Very comfortable benches which seem new, but have a very vintage vibe. Not very crowded and all the guests were very courteous. It seems to be dog friendly.

Fantastic experience! Can i give 6 stars? The staff was very friendly and explained everything for us noobies. Was difficult but not impossible. It made for a perfect afternoon! I would recommend calling or online reservations, they fill up fast.

Memorial park, not a playground, but lots for kids to see. Pier Peddler ice cream is right there, as well as Halaula ice cream. Take a walk and enjoy watching the boats and sunset. Great place to observe the fireworks which are launched from the Musical Fountain area. Most people watch from the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium area, which is probably better, but crammed with people. Escanaba park was a lot more low key and had an amazing view of more than the fireworks while waiting. You can see the light houses from Escanaba Park. The Coast Guard station is immediately next to this park and the Army Corps of Engineers is a little past that, too. The beach is just a walk down the boardwalk. You can park at Franklin Ave and S 5th St or Chinook Pier.

Went to the changing of command ceremony for the coast guard. It was a great ceremony for our friend Paul Larouche. He is going back to Connecticut our shared home of meriden. He will be in New London Conn. Wishing him good luck and safe travels.

Very pretty place. We went here to watch fireworks. The grass was so soft.

We had a great experience with Grand Haven Boat Rentals! The pontoon looked almost brand new and was very comfortable. We were able to bring our dogs which was a huge plus for us with no additional fees! Spring Lake was beautiful and so were all the homes. Check in and check out was simple and everyone was super friendly. Would highly recommend!

We had a great experience renting here! From the first phone call 3 months ago with Caryn (with my many, many questions) through the detailed instructions when we arrived, it truly felt like borrowing a boat from a family member. Don't let negative reviews scare you off - I would highly, highly recommend renting a boat here!

This place is the best. Owner is great, staff is great, and boats are clean and great. It’s pet friendly, and even provides life jackets for your dogs. We had a wonderful day today on one of their pontoon boats, brought our dog, and had a great time. You won’t go wrong renting a boat here!!!!

Great place to rent a boat. Rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours and the staff was great, kind, considerate and thoroughly explained everything and answered all of our questions

This place served as an excellent park with ski and snowboarding hills as well as hiking, bonfires, a skate park and more. It also plays host to Grand Havens famous Winterfest and home to the Coldwell Banker cardboard slead race. So much fun!!!

Great people! Great place to learn is on the bunny hill! Rope tow so be prepared with gloves that can handle the Rope! All my kids love going here! We signed them up for lessons and we have had great experience with all of them so far! I can tell they really enjoy working with the kids! They will show them how to use the rope tow too!

We walk our dogs in the off leash area behind Mulligan's Hollow. You can park in the parking lot, or there's street parking on the otherside, on Lake Street. It's a nice wooded area with a lot of different trails to take. All the dogs we encounter have been friendly and the owners responsible. The paths are well maintained, however there are a lot of down trees off to the sides.

We visit the imagination station and it is a blast for kids under 7. In the winter the rope pulls and ski hills are a great way to practice skiing in Grand Haven. Absolutely worth checking out.

Great family park with something for all ages. Surface is that soft material to keep your kids from hurting themselves if they fall or trip. Brand new park as they renovated the entire play area with new and safe equipment.

Winterfest 2023 sure was a blast, All the ice, cardboard and duct tape made us go fast! A few minor injuries here and there, Just close your eyes and say a little prayer! 🙏. Thanks Coldwell Banker for all the hard work, Time to wash down the victory with a beer from Burzerks! See you next year!

I bet summer is much better at this spot, we were there in early June, nice park.

We had a delightful time walking at Hofma Preserve. The way finding is fantastic with a map on the posts that tell you what # you are at in the park in addition to what direction to go to get to your next stop. There are multiple parking lots and we were surrounded with many diverse bird calls.

One of my favorite places to go for a walk in GH. Dogs allowed on leash. Make sure you walk the bridge over the water, its absolutely beautiful! Lots of wild life also!

Hofma preserve is a jewel in the Grand Haven area. This is a great place for hiking or skiing with many well marked trails. Unfortunately the purple loosestrife has invaded. Look closely and you'll see a heron. The boardwalks are a little dated with wear.

Beautiful and quiet area to walk or hike or bike

Beautiful area to hike! Colors are beginning to change on the trees! Clean. Pet friendly. Little playground at one end. Also a sweet little restroom area and pavilion. Such a great area. Nicest residents also. They have a floating bridge you can walk on. Its even handicapped accessible! Which is rare to find for a hiking trail! Love it!

Beautiful bit of nature right off the path of DT Grand Haven. Diverse paths. People are kind. Very clean.

Neat location near downtown Grand Haven wedged between an old cemetery, a upscale residential neighborhood and the lakeshore. Beautiful mature trees including Beech, white pines, and red oaks. Nice parking and access to other nearby trails by hiking extensions. Great asset to the city.

Has an incredible paved pathway throughout the majority of the main part of the park with plenty of off-peist pathways to take off and explore. Always a great time bringing my 2-year-old because the paved pathways almost guide him along. Plus, this last time he found a painted rock which just made his day!

Great walk through the woods. The first time through, we took the paved path the majority of the way through the woods to get to the beach at the Grand Haven State Park. On the way back, I took some other trails. Some hills, but nothing to strenuous. There was Plenty of parking, even on Labor Day when the beach was packed.

This is a beautiful area to walk through. Many trails to follow.

This is a nice, quiet place to walk. I went here with my dog to walk the trails. We both love it.

Small hill fun! Shout out to local school and teacher for teaching kids to enjoy outdoor sports. Met the instructor and was impressed! Keep it up!

Great place to learn to ski. Ski rental and lift tickets for three were $72 total for beginner hill. Tow rope is great because you can get so many runs in.

Fun place. Not great with a newer snowboarder on a busy day, though. The free-for-all that is the rope tow area gets a little crazy. The staff was great.

Huge playground with very creative structures for all ages. Kids could play for hours. Fenced area with benches for adults!

It's a great place for family activities. Plenty of parking. A nice fireplace indoor while you enjoy your hot chocolate, coffee or tea & snacks. There's always something going on regardless of weather. Ski or Board down the snowy hills during winter. Bike speed down the hills during summer.

Community activity area that offers a softball field, large field for soccer, ski bowl for the winter, basketball court, large kids activity area and a skateboard park. Great for family visits.

Great for a tow rope only hill! Plenty of ropes, quick, and multiple routes to not be bored. *Pro tip: Get some cheapy lined leather gloves from Menards and leave your good ones at home.

Not a very good spot for hiking. One of the loops we skipped because it had tall grass over the trail and we didn't want to pick up a tick. Some of the other trails were under water and most of the rest were all sand. Not very good for hiking.

Beautiful out here! A truly unique habitat. Looks unlike anything I've ever seen. It's not just dunes and dune grass, there's all sorts of plants out here. And the trails aren't that bad. My only complaint is that part of it was flooded, but you can't control nature :)

Primitive trail in the winter! Which I was hoping for… a challenging walk 👍🏻. However, as of this review (1/26/25) at least two trail maps do not have the “You Are Here” stickers on the signs. I had no idea where I was. There were smaller, less traveled trails that the locals must use, but quite confusing for a newcomer. Also, with Dewy Hill directly east, why was there no signage for that (other than the sign that read “Leaving Dewy Hill”)?

Beautiful area to hike though some trails not marked accurately. Some areas can be challenging for casual hikers.

This is actually a really fun trail or series of trails. I got lost and went off trail once or twice as there are a couple of unmarked trails that aren't part of the official trail system. But they still give you a good workout and it's very pretty place and peaceful place to watch

Interesting little hiking spot for a quick nature fix. Trails are not easily accessible, small but nice picnic area at the trail heads. Follow the path to the top of the hill, a few places to stop and take a rest. Nothing like the maintained trail at Hoffmaster or Rosy Mount. But an interesting little area to explore.

Smallish park that's perfect for a small stroll. You can grill here, there are benches, there is an area that has an overhead but not enclosed shelter. There are no bathrooms. Parking is right across the bridge. Very quiet little place. Currently the walkway is falling apart so watch your step.

Wonderful park that's never as busy as the rest of downtown Grand Haven.

Appeared quite clean, the seats were comfortable, the staff was lovely and the movie was good, but the building smelled atrocious. Like sewer and mold. It was so off putting and the attempt to cover it with a bunch of plug in air fresheners made it worse. I'm wondering how the staff tolerates it? Not sure what the problem is, but it seems like it should be fixed before allowing patrons and staff to breath that air.

I think this theater said to themselves, have you sat in an economy airplane seat and thought wow this seat has way too much leg room. We can do even better. I am only 5’10” and with an average size woman in front of me there was 3 inches between the front of my seat and the back of hers. She wasn’t rocking this was just sitting normal. The only way I fit was to have my legs spread. And maybe you are thinking well he probably has long legs, the back of my knees are against the seat cushion. Thankfully I didn’t need to go to the bathroom as getting by the two people next to me would have required fully straddling over their legs or having them get up and leave the row completely to get by. At one point I did need to fart and I felt terrible that the woman’s head in front of me was 12-14inches away from my permanently spread butt crack, do to not being able to close my legs without shoving her seat forward. Bring back the old seats! Or better yet upgrade like every other theater with all kinds of space around you. For the 1$ a ticket savings you’ll get at GH9 spend the dollar and avoid taking a hot fart to the back of your neck. Won’t be going here again until they replace their seats. I have heard other theaters in here might be better, we were in 6. But we won’t risk it, just go to Holland or Muskegon.

The movie was amazing the theater was nice and clean. The only issue me and my daughter had was the air temperature. About half way thru the movie we were both shivering. It was a little too cold for me. You definitely need to wear layers.

Best movie night in years... then again I have not went to a theater in 10 years. Smells better than it used too, but the prices seem out of place for even a movie theater. The seats are not very comfortable for a 93 minute movie. The comfortable seats are too close to the screen, so it may be another 10 years before the next movie.

Decent theatre, pretty clean and fair selection from concession. I feel they play more previews than others but no way to be sure, we saw Addams Family recently and there was 20 plus minutes of previews from 6:40 show time. It could be a 5 star but many theaters have upgraded seating now and more concessions selection.

A run down, but up kept and clean movie theater. Is that an oxymoron? Anyways while from the outside and in the lobby everything looks modern. Once you get in the theaters you can tell they haven't been touched since the 80's. The seats are very tight together and are a hard seat with only a light cushion on them. At least the theaters are stadium seating. All that being said everything is very clean and in full working order. So back to the oxymoron statement Rundown and Up kept. Service was friendly and tickets were only $5.50 so that might be why they haven't upgraded. Overall a 3 1/2 stars which I'm rounding down to 3. I don't like rounding down here, but those seats can't equal a 4. Would I return? Probably not.

Great theater but could use some updating and it was smelling like sewage inside for while there but yesterday it was back to normal thank God!!

We had an amazing experience here with our kids. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, offering to help the kids with the games and explaining how everything works. The claw machines seem to not be rigged like typical ones are, each kid got a decent prize out of one. The mini bowling is really neat, I'd never seen that before. Prizes were surprisingly affordable and a lot of the more expensive prizes were name brands like lego and squishmallows. They were a little hard to find, google maps took us to the back side of the building, but it is there! We will be sure to stop in the next time we are in Michigan

Definitely an awesome place to take the kiddos. The mini-bowling goes for a full 10 frames and isn’t crazy expensive (around $5/game for 2 players), which is something I haven’t seen at any other mini bowling on this side of the state. The most kind and generous staff of any arcade I’ve been to - definitely a hidden gem of Grand Haven.

So much fun! We hosted an event here for our student mentoring program, the kids as well as the adults loved it. There is a wide variety of games to play and bowling was an especially big hit for our multi-generational event. The pizza was delicious! On top of it all, the owner, Sara, and her incredible staff are fantastic. Sara was so fun to work with in setting up the event, she took care of all of the details and made it so easy. Every staff member was engaging and really went above and beyond in their interactions with our party guests. I can't wait to do it again!

I really enjoyed spending my afternoon at Grand Fun! Not only did I have fun playing games, but the staff was exceptionally nice. Isabella in particular was extremely nice and helped with the stuck stuffed animals in the crane as well as helping us with the mini bowling. She took our pictures as well and just made the experience overall exceptionally great! Thank you and shout out to Isabella!

Our school hosted a Mother-Son night here, and we had SUCH an amazing experience! Everything from how easy Sara made it to set the event up, to how smoothly everything ran the night of, to how friendly and helpful the staff was - it all made for a wonderful night. There is a great range of games for all ages and interests (we had preschool - middle school and everyone had a blast), and everything is really clean and well-maintained.
