The Impression 5 Science Center, located in Downtown Lansing, has been a popular destination for families since 1972. With over 150 educational play activities and interactive exhibits, this long-running science center offers hands-on learning experiences for children. From bubble-themed and Spectrum light and mirror exhibits to building zones and a nuclear experience, there are plenty of opportunities for kids to engage in fun and educational activities.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND, there is so much for kids to use their minds and have fun doing to while they learn. We spent about 3-4 hours here and well worth the money. This is a great family adventure to do together and all ages will enjoy. Although, if your kids or grandkids are like mine and enjoy water you may want to bring an extra shirt, 😂. My 3 and 8 year old grandkids loved this place. And all it has to offer. There is even a sensory area upstairs which is awesome.
Renee C — Google review
There are so many different things to do here. It is so affordable(and they have a ton of different deals especially If you’re a member of different things to get you discounts on your tickets to get in) we were there for hours and I still don’t think we did everything and I took my two younger nephews which are one and a half and 2 1/2 and they absolutely loved it

Wonderful hands on museum for kids and adults of all ages! Plenty to see and do, from water, to wind and all with a science theme and explanation! Family and kid friendly, staff is courteous and kind. Parking can be a bit tricky but don't get discouraged, something will open up, even if you have to take a short walk! Experience Impression 5 today!
Sean Q — Google review
So parking isn't too bad. They have a small parking lot and could park behind it looked like to. If you have ebt, mihealth or wic you can get in $2 per person if you have your card. This place is great for kids. Whole things interactive and your able to touch and play with about anything. Large gift shop and many activities.
Kymmie L — Google review
It is a fun place with lots of varied and interactive 'labs' for kids and adults to enjoy - however, many of the exhibits did not function very well. I'm sure it takes a lot of upkeep for stuff like this, but perhaps more of the admission cost should go into maintaining the features.
Shane M — Google review
We take our kids here every time we're in the area. The kids love the hands-on exhibits. It's fun to explore the exhibits with the kids. We spent about 2 hours here. We always renew our ASTC membership so we can visit Impression 5 and the Science and Industry museum in Chicago. Great place for kids!
Timothy I — Google review
Glad we went on a school trip. I won’t go there anymore. It needs an upgrade for sure. It’s not really anything to do. It’s boring. It’s really just stuff there. The water area is 100 yrs old. The so called play area upstairs isn’t really much playing it’s you look for educational purposes. It’s no food here. Must bring your own. It’s a vending machine of snacks the drinks everything is sugar free. By the water area it’s just inflatable body parts. Then it’s the gift shop “The only upgraded area there that looks good”. I won’t go again it’s boring. The one we have is freshly built and upgraded with things for kids to actually do.
J W — Google review
Whoever was working the front desk today deserves credit. She was so friendly knowledgeable professional and polite! We became members after coming in today. What an awesome, clean, interactive place for kids. I brought my baby and he had a blast.

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Potter Park Zoo is a diverse animal sanctuary in Michigan, housing 350 creatures from around the world. From African lions to Alaskan moose, Amur tigers to Arctic foxes, and Bactrian camels to North American bald eagles, the zoo offers an array of wildlife experiences. Visitors can also observe red pandas and snow leopards while learning about their training through the zoo's YouTube channel.
Visited on a Sunday around 11:00 AM. Paid $5 for parking for being a non-resident (residents are $3 I believe). They accept cards and cash. Plenty of parking and a playground near the zoo also. My zoo admission was free for being a member of a reciprocal zoo. That being said, the zoo is a great size, perfect for two-hours walking at a slow pace My kiddos loved all the photo opportunities, the petting zoo, and interactive elements. We also loved the reptile house, rhino, and lion. There were a few restrooms spread throughout, plenty of benches, and one main area for food. It appears they are doing construction too. Overall, we really enjoyed the zoo and would definitely return.
Gwenevere M — Google review
Sure! Here’s a playful and slightly mysterious-sounding review, based on your prompt: --- Review: Whispering Pines Zoo Tucked away in the thick of overgrown trees, Potter Park Zoo offers an experience unlike any other. The canopy is so dense it casts everything in permanent twilight, giving the place an oddly secretive feel—like you've stumbled upon something not entirely meant to be found. But make no mistake: the animals are everywhere. From curious lemurs watching silently from high branches to camels that you ride and even a bongo, this zoo feels more alive than most. You don’t just view the animals here—you sense them. Around you. Behind you. Always just out of clear sight. Staff presence is minimal, but that only adds to the mysterious charm. It’s not unsafe, just…wild. Very wild. If you’re looking for neat pathways and tidy enclosures, this isn’t it. But if you want something raw, shady, and teeming with life, Potter Park Zoo is worth the adventure.
Sandra ( — Google review
I am absolutely impressed with this little gem! We drove up from Indy just to visit and I can say we absolutely loved it! The grounds are well kept and maintained which was an absolute pleasure, it felt like both the animals and the staff were treated well. The park itself is a little bit small but do NOT let that sway you, there are so many fun things to enjoy at every turn! I think my favorite part was the sensory garden, I loved the herb tasting area. Maybe my second favorite part was the quiet zone lol, we were there the same day as an elementary school and having a little area deep in the foliage was such a nice break, it 100% gave me my second wind I needed to get the last few animals in!! Overall I think this trip was absolutely worth it, from start to finish this entire process was a very easy and enjoyable experience!
Janiese R — Google review
The zoo is clean and easily marked to follow on the path but is very small. After taking our time with the exhibits, from start to finish it took just over an hour to get through. So I’d consider it a little pricey for what you all see, considering you have to pay for parking AND admission. It is definitely geared more toward younger children as well, 5 and under it seems. Decent little outing though.
Shelby C — Google review
We love this zoo. All the animals was out being active. We even watched a turtle get weighed. We enjoyed The Boo at the Zoo. It was a great experience and very nice volunteers. I wish the hay ride was operating during our visit but we can't control the weather. We still had a great time
Pattie B — Google review
I love this zoo! The exhibits are large and clean, the walkways spacious. There are very cool animals here and you can tell they're well loved. The Zookeeper Notes signage is great-names, dates, special facts, etc. I think Doppsee and Phineas (Rhinos) are my favorite non-cat animals, but I love every animal here! I love that you can buy art created by the animals in the gift shop! I got rhino art, bat-eared fox art on magnets and feather ornaments!
Wendy L — Google review
My daughter, my husband and myself went on a school field trip to Potter Park Zoo. We had an amazing time!!! We waited less than 1 minute to buy an extra entrance ticket and we were on our way. We started at about 10 am and left about 1 pm. We also visited the gift shop to look around and get a bracelet where she can track a certain animal. She has multiple animals that she tracks, like the whale shark, and a hammerhead shark. There a lot of different animals than at other zoo's, like the Tamarin, which followed my daughters movements and wanted to be close to her. There were exotic animals like a tiger and a lion, as well as barnyard animals, like the goats and cows. There numerous species of birds, including my favorite, the Bald Eagle.
Melissa H — Google review
I visited Potter Park Zoo on a Sunday with my family and had a great time. The zoo has a nice variety of animals and is a peaceful, family-friendly place to spend the day. We were excited to see lions and a tiger, along with many other animals. The environment was clean, well-maintained, and enjoyable for all ages. A great spot for a relaxing day out!

If you’ve never been here, you should go! And if you’ve already been here.. you should go again! This is a great little museum for both adults and children. There are multiple floors of exhibits, a small cafeteria to enjoy a quick snack and an awesome gift shop full of Michigan keepsakes! Best of all, Sundays are free, so there’s no reason not to visit!

I was unaware that Saturdays are free! What a pleasant surprise. Im in Lansing for work, and decided to stop on a day off. A casual stroll, and reading of 65-75% of the items.. was about 3.5hrs. So much information! I was unaware how pivital Lansing was in the grand scheme of the development of the united states. The mesh between educational, personal, political, and fun... was well done. Im not sure if ill get a chance to stop through here again anytime soon but if i do, i will be.

Lots to check out! Loved learning all about the history and looking at the exhibits. Sundays are free entrance!

Fascinating trip through Michigan's history. Lots of recreated spaces from Michigan's past: territorial days, mining, timber industry, manufacturing, and Arsenal of Democracy. I didn't grow up in Michigan. The museum taught me a lot about the State's history. Also had a super interesting, temporary exhibit on personal technology. It was a fun trip down memory lane with things like VCR's, floppy disks, and Atari.
John M — Google review
From the retreat of the glaciers at the last ice age to the present day, this museum takes us through the entire history of Michigan. There are so many exhibits and so much to learn. We spent two hours there and probably could have spent another two because there is so much to see. Highly recommend visiting if you have an interest in history or Michigan in general. The museum is well laid out, colorful, and informative. We paid $24 for two adults and two youth, well worth it! I am looking forward to our next visit.
B H — Google review
Absolutely cool, so much to learn and things I didn't know living in Michigan my whole life. There's 3 floors of things to learn about, read about, videos being played, cool old fashioned things. I would definitely recommend taking a self guided walk through if in the area, you could spend hours reading and seeing everything!
Maddie K — Google review
Very educational museum! Brought my mother in law for her 65th birthday and she had such a great time! We loved the expansive and detailed facades and it was nice and quiet for a Saturday. I hadn't been since I was a kid for school and I think everyone should visit again as an adult!
Olivia L — Google review
We spent a few hours on Sunday exploring the Michigan History Center. My son has been asking to go for weeks, and with Sunday being free admission plus free parking, it seemed the perfect time! The mining area was very cool and I love how the center flowed through. There isn't a wrong way to go through the place. My son loved exploring the place. We'll be back soon!

This museum is absolutely amazing! I am an Oldsmobile fanatic and I came to Michigan just to see this place. The displays are set up nicely with plenty of history on the man himself! I recommend this place to anyone who is an automotive and/or history lover!

We spent three hours in the R. E. Olds Museum—it was the highlight of our ride through Michigan. The museum has Oldsmobiles from 1887 (steam) to the early 2000s. The curators have designed a wonderful walk through the life and inventions of Mr. Olds. Perfect museum for car enthusiasts and U. S. history lovers.

Well worth the admission! Dozens of vehicles going back to the dawn of the automotive age, all kept in wonderful condition.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, located on the campus of Michigan State University, is a striking contemporary art museum designed by Zaha Hadid. Named after local philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, the museum features international contemporary art exhibits in a visually stunning venue. The building's unique design includes glass and stainless steel elements that create an eye-catching architectural spectacle. With regularly rotated exhibits, visitors can always expect a fresh experience.
A great FREE experience! If you are looking for something to do in the area this is a great one time stop. It is free for the general public and there are always events for MSU students. A very organized well thought exhibit layout also adds to the experience. There are also so many hands on experiences there is always something to do!
Ansel W — Google review
The museum has a unique collection of art that really catches my eye. A lot of creativity is clearly shown in each piece I walk by. I recommend coming here in your free time just to enjoy what this place has to offer. It really clears the mind and makes you just appreciate the little things through looking at the art. It is a calm and interesting experience that I would like more people to do.
Dark A — Google review
The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, located on the campus of Michigan State University, is a striking architectural and cultural gem. Designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the building itself is a work of contemporary art, featuring sharp angles, dramatic lines, and a dynamic façade that captures attention before one even steps inside. Its futuristic design contrasts with the traditional architecture found elsewhere on campus, making it a destination for design enthusiasts and art lovers alike. Inside, the museum offers a thoughtfully curated mix of contemporary art and rotating exhibitions that span various media and cultural perspectives. The galleries are open and flexible, allowing for an immersive experience that challenges and engages visitors. The museum emphasizes global contemporary art, showcasing works that address timely and provocative social, political, and cultural issues. The Broad also serves as a hub for education and community engagement. It offers programs for students, artists, and the public, fostering dialogue and creative exploration. Admission is free, which enhances its accessibility and encourages repeat visits. Overall, the Eli Broad Museum is not only an architectural landmark but also a vital cultural institution. It successfully bridges the local and the global, making it a must-visit for anyone in East Lansing or the surrounding area.

Not too big, but not too small. The atmosphere was nice, fairly quiet and calm. Good variety of art. I enjoyed the small interactive stations.
Paulina H — Google review
Parked at the MSU parking garage just five minutes away. To my surprise there was a lot of attention for spirituality in the digital age. To me it seems we are reinventing the wheel once again. If we go for horoscopes to understand ourselves and others around us, showcase a person that resembles the pagan priests of old and interweave that with an image of the fright of a calamitous god - it leads us to think about our self fulfillment and self direction. What is lacking in my opinion is an image or representation of an adventurous Christian life with God. To live in partnership with Him Who created us as his servants. What does all this means in the world today. Maybe this representation can be added to the exhibitions. The architecture of the building is creating a great atmosphere. I like the way glass was used, maybe the concrete a bit less. To me the building resembles a boat cutting through the waves of the sea, exploring new territories. But do not forget where we are coming from.
Martien T — Google review
Great museum with plenty of exhibits to check out. They are smaller in nature but nonetheless very interesting. Not a bad perk when they had free ice cream from the MSU Dairy Store as well!

The museum is great!! 🤗 I enjoyed and loved the art, it was breathtaking and inspirational. The architecture of the building??? Amazing!!! You need to see it in order to enjoy it. I wish I could spend a little more time in there. But next time, I definitely will be there for long 😊

We really liked the down stairs and how kid friendly some of it was, I didn't feel like there was a ton of exhibits to look at our favorite was the basement, and the art making station by the gift shop we entertained ourselves longer at that station than going through the museum (given we are a art family)

We had a Christmas party for my kids, nephews and niece (ages 8-22). Everything was amazing from booking with Brandon to being helped once there by Kasen and several other staff members to all the cool things in their new building. Even the food was great! I was thoroughly impressed! So much fun for everyone, including the adults. We will be back and I absolutely recommend everyone check them out.

Harry was the best he made our trip here worth every penny! He joined in with our family outing and it was beyond amazing. We had so much fun hanging out with him. He made this place special for us.

Tonight we had a work group Dundie party and we had an amazing night! From start to finish Brandon helped us by creating a custom package that fit every need and wish we had. We had 35 (adults only) attend and we chose the Racos Taco Bar. We had two room for 4 hours and a dedicated party host. The food was excellent! The rooms were clean, spacious, and the perfect temperature. Jazz, our party host, was on top things and very friendly to all our guests. Finally, we chose the 2 hour unlimited package and it offered a wide variety of things for people to do. This brought our team together and everyone had a blast! Considering everything we received , the price was perfect and even lower than similar venues in the area. 100% we will be back next year.

Bowling lane did not work at first, but arcade worked beautifully. Bowling was a great time. I am a huge BEMANI and DDR-Like game fan, and I had my suspicions at first, it didn't have a list of games on its website, which it should add by the way, but it not only had a DanceDanceRevolution X2 (2010) cabinet, it had a StepManiaX (2017-present) Deluxe 65" Cabinet (5 panel, not 9 panel, but no charts on it need such) that itself works even better than the DDR. Every game seemed working. Some kinks in it, one entire section of the 'cade was off for a solid 5 minutes, and bowling didn't work great for a solid 10 minutes, but they handle all of it beautifully, and the staff are nice. Everything worked as it should. Plus the pricing was nice as a Chicagolander, the pricing isn't bad at all. 25$ is about 120 credits, or 40 single player runs of DDR X2. Staff - 5/5 Pricing - 5/5 Reliability - 3.5/5
Monitor — Google review
Update: tried it again… I had faith in this place. second trip was just frustrating, employee running the laser tag was so depressing and acted like he hated his job. Everything felt gross like greasy and the bowling balls are so torn up it’s awful. No good selection of bowling balls. Customer service and over all pricing I will be going to High Caliper from now on. Mini golf all the balls we’re all dead again so couldn’t even play the course as designed. The gokarting track so slipper it’s like driving on ice very frustrating. The drinks so super expensive…. Won’t be back unfortunately. Spent $165 for two people 2 all access pass, and 2 $10 arcade cards.(not including drinks) High caliper is the spot. Original: Main complaint would be that the bowling balls looked like they went through sink disposal. They were so torn off. It was hard to even find a ball that fit, and lanes seemed to be pretty uneven as well. Second, I noticed that when going go karting, there is no face mask you put on before putting a helmet on so all the helmets were sweaty and gross. Every go karting place I’ve been to makes you wear a face mask so that way your sweats absorbed by that not the helmet . Lice is definitely gonna be a concern for that Third almost all the tables I found around the bar and restaurant area were dirty, and nobody was cleaning them in a timely manner Fourth was that the interactive tile game kept breaking so we couldn’t even do it Last complaint is going to be that the mini golf courses I could not play with the smart balls because they were all dead. They need like 10 more chargers so people can actually play the game. We weren’t able to use them once. Which sucks cause we paid to play that but didn't get to

Always have a good time when we visit the Wharton Center. The seats could have a little bit now room to them, especially for a really tall husband. He usually doesn't have any room for his legs. We usually try to pick an aisle seat whenever possible. Parking is usually pretty easy too.
Sherry K — Google review
Parking here is a breeze! The theater is very nice and modern. Seating is more spacious than most theaters I've been in. Would 10/10 recommend this venue for smaller scale shows.
Amy R — Google review
I attended a recent performance of 'Hamilton' at Cobb Great Hall. Entry into the venue was quick and easy using the e-ticket saved to my phone. There were plenty of staff members around to direct patrons to their seats. There were also numerous free or inexpensive parking lots (flat lots and structures) within walking distance of the venue. Overall, it was a good experience. I would return in the future.
Scott N — Google review
A wonderful performance space. There is definitely an acoustic advantage for speech on the ground floor. Things get a bit muddy up in the balcony, but for some kinds of music that makes it extra rich. I've been to several performances here and for drama is worth paying the extra money to have orchestra seats, but there are no bad seats for viewing as far as I can see. I look forward to my next visit.

Went to see Hamilton the Play and it was amazing 👏. It was a great venue to see a play. Parking was convenient and not overpriced so were the concessions very reasonably priced.

I wish there were more to the concessions stand also the bathrooms could be larger for the size of crowds. The show and technical parts of all that were great. Will definitely attend another show here.

The Michigan 4-H Children's Garden is a charming and picturesque spot designed for kids to have a great time. It features various themed gardens inspired by different fairy tales, offering surprises at every turn. The garden includes a small play area, koi ponds, foot bridges, and a hedge maze that children love to explore. Visitors can enjoy the perfectly manicured gardens without any admission charge.
This is an awesome little park! This place has lots of fun art & plants and also has some fun interactive things like a dance chime, a human sundial, and a little maze.

It's just so beautiful there! The flowers are truly amazing to see! Take your dates here!
TongFx — Google review
What a beautiful little garden. I wish I had known about it sooner. I didn't come with any children, but they still let me walk around 😆 I love seeing all the flowers and plants that can grow in our area on full display. It's beautiful to look at, and it is inspiring to see what could be done in my own backyard. Absolutely worth a trip out here.
Noura A — Google review
This place is awesome! My 18month old loved it. I didn't take many photos with him not in it else I'd have more to share. The plants are cool in themselves, that they have herbs to smell and vegetables to taste, but besides that they have a few small ponds with water interactives, things that kids like to climb and explore like the train, the tree house, the very curved bridge, the huts, and I especially loved the maze. There is a musical feature in the sidewalk at one end. Several statues of people my son enjoyed touching since they were lifelike. We went at the end of August and it was perfect.

Amazing place to go with your special one! The garden was beautiful! Loved the sunflowers. This park is not only for kids, but for adults too 🙂
Bella A — Google review
Brought a 9 and 3 year old on a beautiful Sunday morning in June and we all enjoyed about 2 hours exploring. We took our time going through the children's garden, reading the story and going through the amazing Alphabet garden ( a plant for each letter of the alphabet!). We played on the tractor, smelled flowers, made music, and played in the fairy homes. Would recommend for a short educational visit with kids. Neighbors up to the horticulture gardens which are beautiful and blends right into a beautiful walk.

Lovely space that sparks wonder for the whole family! For little and big kids. Even my husband and I enjoyed it honestly. It would be fun for a family outing or even a date night. Nice little sitting spots and plenty of photo opps! I’d love if they had an open concession stand on the depends at least but outside of that it’s perfect! Bathrooms were open and clean last time we attended which is a major win! Trash bins throughout ensure it remains in good shape and I love that too! Our kids are in HS now so they take pics there for every formal dance and many take senior pics at this location too. Truly an enjoyable space for all!

A fantastic activity for astronomy enthusiasts. The seats are comfortable. The tickets are very affordable. The featured show was extremely captivating and educational. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the annual membership if I lived nearby.

I recently attended a Sunday afternoon public planetarium show ('Messengers of Time and Space') at Abrams Planetarium. The show was approximately 30 minutes long, followed by a 30 minute live presentation of the current evening sky. The show was fun, interesting, and very affordable ($5.50 per adult as of Sept '25). If you arrive early there are some models, meteorite samples, and pictures in the lobby area that you can see in 15-30 minutes. Overall, I would recommend the public planetarium show. Any person of any age would enjoy it.

We took our 11 year old here for her birthday. We saw the Aurora Borealis immersion show, and the people who put on the presentation customized it for our kids birthday! We had so much fun! Can't recommend it enough! Thanks again guys!

It’s definitely a great experience for children and families! I have taken my daughter for a fun day and I have went with my church with our youth. The staff are super friendly and the children enjoyed the show. Definitely a great opportunity for them to have a learning experience. They do offer birthday packages. I was also able to purchase some souvenirs on the way out.

The Abrams Planetarium is a great planetarium located at Michigan State University. It's small, but there is still enough to see and do. They have different shows and exhibits going on periodically. I have seen some interesting exhibits there including comets, planets, etc. They have the Imax type shows where they screen the film on the ceiling in the auditorium. It's really cool. There is a gift shop too. Definitely make a stop at the planetarium sometime!

Hawk Island Park, located in South Lansing, is a sprawling 100-acre all-seasons park that offers a wide range of outdoor activities and attractions. Originally established as a gravel pit in 1944, the park has since evolved into a popular destination featuring a beach, fishing piers, wintertime slopes for snowboarding, and a 1.5-mile pathway for leisurely strolls.
This park is a wonderful place for families! It’s clean, peaceful, and has plenty of space for kids to play and run around. We loved the playground and the walking paths. It’s also a great spot for small birthday parties or relaxing picnics. Definitely one of our favorite parks in the area!
Zainab S — Google review
Hawk Island is a versatile, well-maintained park that caters to all seasons. Whether you’re cooling off on the splash pad, paddling around the lake, tubing into the evening, or enjoying a scenic bike ride along the river trails, there’s something for everyone. It’s family-friendly, pet-friendly (with some restrictions), and a valuable local hub of outdoor recreation. If you’re planning a visit, here are a few tips: 1.Grab an annual pass if you plan multiple visits across lakes, parks, and the zoo. 2.Reserve shelters early—they book up fast for summer parties. 3.For tubing, buy tickets ahead online, and dress warmly if you’re watching from below.

Wow, what a beautiful park. We were looking for a place near our campground, Cottonwood, to take our Kayak out. This must be either a new park or it’s being updated. Has a very nice dog park, splash pad, playground near a very small but nice beach. There’s a boat rental and small boat launch area with plenty of piers for fishing and what looks like an amazing bike path that goes around the entire park. They do rent paddle boats, swans, canoes and kayaks. We were able to set up our kayak and launch here easily as well. Nobody was on the water. Very small little lake to loop around but gorgeous and fun for us old folks. Did I mention it’s close to the campground as well!!! Lots of picnic areas and benches. Saw plenty of staff driving around the grounds. $5 parking for out of town people. Loved it!

Spare Time was the perfect place for us to hold our Client Appreciation Party. We used the Capital Room and served our clients pizzas and soft drinks. We loved how our clients were separated from the main lanes and could walk freely with food and drinks from the meeting/eating room to the lanes in the Capital Room. I cannot give Mike Allen enough compliments. He is great at communicating, giving suggestions, making sure you have hot food and cold drinks throughout the entire party, and finding small ways to make your event extra special. For us, he displayed "We Love Our Clients" across the big screens and made sure he had the Michigan vs. Michigan State game playing while we bowled. If you want to plan a fun event where everything will be taken care of for you, I highly recommend Spare Time Entertainment!

Never used the services. I just stop at their parking lot before I jump on the highway. I have walked through the place, and if I ever had enough time to just go goof off, this would be a really good start! There is so much going on at this location. They even have an ax throwing section, kinda like throwing darts but harder and more dangerous. Lol

The staff is very friendly and it was quick getting shoes and a lane. It's 1/2 price from 3-5pm so it gets crowded fast but, every one makes room for one another and it's a good time. They recently added a putt-putt golf course here as well. Great place for adults and children.

My first time going! Spare time was a blast. Here are some videos and pictures! We also had a bite to eat. The pizza was delicious by the bowling alley. The games are reasonable and all the games were easily accessible/wheel chair friendly! Everything was clean and it was a very comfortable family outing. Wonderful experience! They have cards you load money onto and your ticket amount also accumulates onto the card. They have some really cool games and prizes!

I don't do reviews usually, but I wanted to share my experience. The customer service that my family received today was phenomenal. The man who ran the register to get us the lane, the man who was serving drinks and food and the woman who redeemed tickets were all amazing. We came across some other more popular older companies that def charge about 20% more. But in the end we chose this one. We got a deal online from their website that got us the bikes for $22.4 per day. Very good deal. The bikes are average quality but seem to be well-maintained. The guy was very helpful. The price was reasonable. Overall we loved it. So don't worry whether the lower price suggests worse services or inferior quality. Unless u look for some professional, performance bikes, this is the place u looking for.

One of those magical places on Michigan State University’s campus, with an amazing range of roses and clematis, scents from every part of the world, and an awesome koi pond with lily pads and irises. This is a great place for a walk after dinner. There are plenty of benches you can sit on if you need a rest in between. Definitely see if you’re in the Lansing area. There are lots of weddings here. Very nice gardens are also nearby.

Patricia P — Google review
All photos are taken and distributed by Be Photographed. Bri and Zach’s wedding at the Horticultural Gardens was absolutely stunning. When I take photos here, I’m always impressed by how many beautiful outdoor ceremony options there are. The gardens feature a lovely gazebo with draping, potted plants, and a walkway leading right to the ceremony site — everything feels naturally elegant and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor areas provide endless opportunities for bridal party and couple portraits, and the greenhouse “indoor” reception space gives the wedding such a unique, intimate atmosphere. Getting ready takes place inside the connected school building, which keeps everything close and convenient for the couple. The photos truly speak for themselves — the Horticultural Gardens is one of Michigan’s most charming and distinctive venues for wedding photography.
Brooke E — Google review
My husband and I love the Michigan State Horticulture Gardens. We got married here because of how beautiful it is. Aside from that, we go here often during the spring and summer just to walk around and see the beautiful flowers and other landscape. The photos shown here are from last year in mid June when the rose garden is in full bloom.
Adrianna G — Google review
The gardens are nice. I know they take a lot of work. . But we were very disappointed to see so many invasive plants ( Bush honeysuckle, wisteria, burning bush and barberry.) These plants are contributing to the destruction of native forests negatively impacting native growth and wild life. A facility such as MSU should be promoting education on removal of these plants.

The Turner-Dodge House & Heritage Center, also known as the Dodge House, is a museum housed in the Georgian Revival-style mansion dating back to 1855. This historic landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offers visitors a glimpse into Lansing's early pioneer legacy. The three-story main structure with two adjacent wings showcases stunning architectural marvels and an immaculately-maintained interior.
Love this history of this home near Old Town in Lansing! This was the first year I was able to showcase a tree for the Festival of Trees! Also had my BIG 40th Birthday here!
Erin B — Google review
I really enjoy the Turner Dodge House and it’s history, but my last experience wasn’t great. Usually, at the Open House, they have tea and cookies and some Christmas music, plus workers that are chatty and friendly. This year, we got there at 4pm like we did last year but there was no tea or cookies, no music playing with only the strange squeak of one of the displays upstairs which didn’t make the upstairs super comfortable. Then, a worker there told us it was 4:50pm in a way that seemed like they wanted us to leave as we looked at the decorations upstairs. I was surprised at the lack of trees. In the past, I saw Fenner and other places that had cool trees, even a group I have been apart of, Capitol Steam, had one. Overall, we were going to the open house to see if we might be able to bring my boyfriend’s family there on Christmas since few things are open but I was hoping to show them the whole experience with tea and cookies, etc, but I am unsure now. I have really enjoyed the Halloween events I have done there, so I am torn. Plus, I was told if I want to volunteer there, I can but I did this three years in a row, leaving my info, and no one contacted me. Would the fourth time make a difference? People tell woes about Lansing but this isn’t the only place where I waved my arms and would offer free labor, yet no one seems to care. I do love this building and it’s history. This experience doesn’t make me not want to attend say, a music event, in the future. It just makes me on the fence about bringing out of state family there for Christmas as their first exposure there, especially if we seemed ushered out early. But it is worth the $5 for us to see that super cool Wizard of Oz tree. I should post a photo of it here. I do enjoy how the house isn’t roped off like other historical houses. It makes it a more intimate time.

The amazing woman who is taking care of the house does a phenomenal job of keeping the house pristine and flawless. It is truly a great place to be at. The history of not only the house but the family who created it is just so fascinating and quite amazing. Definitely check it out and keep it in mind for any event you might have.

A fascinating venue for a 70th birthday party. It illustrated what upper crust life was like before industry brought fabulous wealth into the state. Nothing was behind a velvet rope. The grandkids felt like they were in someone's home, not a museum, but they still learned something about Lansing's history.

Lovely old mansion that has been lovingly decorated with very authentic pieces throughout. A lot of good Lansing historical photos and stories of earlier days. The place is well maintained and run by a very dedicated manager. Well worth a stroll through. Try to catch one of many performances. Always fun.
Mark C — Google review
The Turner-Dodge House is really a very beautiful place to have a get together for whatever reason. I had a party there and all the guests loved it. However, the woman that is the care taker there is completely unorganized and added a lot of unnecessary stress. She was supposed to set up the tables and chairs, all we were allowed to do was bring food and decorations. When we got there, at the contracted time, she had not arrived yet. She was late, we had to wait for her AND she had not even set up the tables and chairs. We had to wait for her to do that before we could set anything up so the party was late getting started. VERY extremely aggravating...especially when you pay by the hour. A few of our guests also complained that she was rude to them. We were able to tour the house but these particular guests were yelled at for going in a room or using the back stairs when they were NOT blocked off by ropes. Just saying...you can't say roam the house and yell at guests for roaming the house. If you don't want someone to use a stairwell, fine, but rope it off!! This is a great place to have a party but set it straight with that caretaker to hold up her end of the bargain so you don't have the headaches I did.

Great place for family fun! 🙌🏽💯❤️ Family Fun and More! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ FunTyme Adventure Park is a great place to spend quality time with your family. Whether you're a kid or an adult, there's something for everyone: 1. **Miniature Golf**: The golf course is fantastic! It's challenging yet enjoyable. Just be aware that the handles on the clubs can be a bit sticky. 2. **Go-Karts**: Rev up your engines and race around the track! Go-karting here is a blast, and it's an excellent way to work on your driving skills. 3. **Indoor Games**: While the indoor games are fun, the lack of proper cooling can be uncomfortable. The fans didn't work well, so it got quite hot. Overall, FunTyme Adventure Park offers a mix of activities, from batting cages to go-karts. It's an affordable option for family outings. 🎉 🌟

Went mini golfing tonight and really enjoyed it. I read other reviews that say it is run down, but it looked great to me. Good number of people go-karting on a weekend night too. The golf itself was challenging, funny type holes. The waterfall is really nice and the price per golfer cannot be beat. I read the golf clubs were dirty and they were not, that the people working there were not friendly, they were nice….so I wonder why others complain about such things. This place is small but a good place to entertain yourself for an hour or two. The robot inside was amusing too…is it a vent? I did not play video games, but might another time.

Tons of fun, super friendly staff, and GREAT prices. We were able to do more activities and at half the total cost of the large competitors in Lansing. Perfect for families. Will definitely go back!

Really cool place, I went with my partner and we had a great time. Definitely a place that both children and adults can enjoy. We tried the batting cages as well as the mini golf. The batting cages are really fun, but ran out of balls at one point leaving us to lose a token or two. The loaner bats could also do with some maintenance but this didnt sully the experience. The Mini-golf was really really good and all the holes were just the right amount of challenge. We had some fountain drinks at the end for a very reasonable price. We got served by 3 staff members overall as we didnt make the purchases all at once, while 2 out of the 3 were really nice and helpful, the last member of staff was quite rude unfortunately. We will definitely be coming back

This picturesque park is not only a venue for lively summer events like the Common Ground Music Festival but also offers serene spots perfect for leisurely strolls or delightful picnics. With its scenic boardwalks and trails, visitors can explore historic sites while enjoying nature's beauty. The park features ample green space, benches for relaxation, and even docks ideal for fishing enthusiasts.
Very nice ambience and kids play area. Yhe park is used to host many concerts and one of the best spots in Lansing to watch the of July fireworks

We went to the Wing Fest here and had a late lunch. There were ribs, wings, strips, fries, rice, and drinks. Sweets were also offered. The actual park is for kids. Very nice playground for all children. Picnic tables for lunches right by the playground.

Let me say, that I love the idea of having the park downtown, but it's crowded, and not enough play activities for everyone. I do love the idea. I guess without being a parent one wouldn't understand there's no money I wouldn't spend for my kid's happiness. The kids though did love it. Played tag, and loved the wheel spin thing in the middle. Cute park. Go when its not crowded though. My guess is early morning in the week or early Saturday morning.

Went for an adventure walk the scenery was beautiful many flowers and art along the way. But I will say we saw a used hypodermic needle and crack pipe along the way. So sad to see such things sitting on the edge of a play ground. Also found a shanty town of bums begging for cigarettes, when we said we quit smoking they cheered us on lol. Kinda awkward experience but not a bad one. There was a scavenger hunt along the bike trail that we didn't know about until we were done with hike. Pretty sure that's where the hidden trolls my daughter and niece found came from. Overall good experience even with seeing the bad stuff.

Super fun park! Located near the river and the new-ish LANSING sign it is a park that has plenty to do for everyone. It looks like they're continuing to build more next to it... someone can speak better as to whether it'll be picnicking areas or something else... it can also be unrelated to the park itself. The park has a soft rubbery flooring, quick access via a gate to the river trail and two large portapotties (though they were locked when we came by Oct 12th. Would recommend this park to anyone with kids

The MSU Museum, located on the Michigan State University campus, is a renowned institution that boasts a diverse collection of scientific and cultural artifacts. As the first Smithsonian Affiliated museum in Michigan, it offers an array of permanent and rotating exhibits, including a notable quilt collection from around the world. Additionally, visitors can explore high-tech displays and view two full-mounted dinosaur skeletons—the only ones in the region.
I like spending time at museum,It is a must to learn different things, going through the different areas is a nice experience. Admission is free and You can get your tickets doing register online here https://museum.msu.edu/visit/visitor-information/ Or just doing on person at museum

Nice museum of natural history with a regional Michigan flavor. Kids apparently love it, based on the reviews, but I haven't been a kid in quite a long time, haha, and really enjoy stopping by and strolling around. Would be nice to see a little more curation around evolutionary principles and mechanisms, with all of the pseudoscience peddled these days. Some visitors have commented on parking. Here's the key: grab a spot in one of the public garages across the street in town and walk over (maybe a block or two). This makes finding a spot easy, getting in and out easy, you get to walk a little bit on campus, which is pretty, and you can let yourself relax and enjoy it all!

I love taking my niece and nephew here! They love seeing all the dinosaur fossils and being able to read about history! Such a fun and learning experience during the summer! Afterwards stop by the gift shop and grab a souvenir! Thank you MSU museum for doing such a fantastic job!

I went with my 4 year old and 2 year old grandsons. We loved it. It’s not a children’s museum but there were so many ways for them to interact; touching elephant tusks, feeling moss, seeing how many beaver pelts would buy different items at the Trading Post, guessing who belongs to the footprints, puzzles, books and more. We loved the brown bear and the animal dioramas. Our favorite area was the NOAA Science on a Sphere; the globe was huge, the computer screen interactive and my 4 year old loved being in control! We spent an hour, took a break for snacks, and spent at least as much time again. We’ll be back!

The best escape room I've had the pleasure of doing and being at. The variety there is amazing! I can't wait to go back to do more rooms! Don't worry if you only have 3 people. You can still do the 4 player rooms if you buy the extra ticket. The workers there are absolutely amazing! Shout out to Jeremy for being the best game master there. He made everything feel real! A place like nonoher! We drove 6+ hours to get to this place and it did not disappoint. My Son recently sustained an injury that left him in a wheelchairr and all he has been wanting to do is drive go karts again. This place not only has a kart he can control but all the employees there were also warm and welcoming. From the bartenders who greated us upon arrival, awesome team at check-in, to the "Ginger"/Zack who calmed my nerves as a Mom and explained the process of getting my son into the kart. They have a lift if needed, leg straps and handles on the steering wheel for the gas and brake. The kart does take some effort to drive, you may want to space out your races if going multiple times. There are so many other things to do here that its not a problem. We headed over to jellyball for some fun and met some other great team members, Bea and Tre who made sure the kids all had a good time and Bea took extra time to inform us of the car show the next day. Whether your rolling or walking you can't go wrong with the throw bowling, bags, or arcade. They also had axe throwing and a rage room that we didn't get to try out and we went 2 days in a row! If you are in a wheelchair and have limited hand function you may want to check the kart out in advance or talk to the staff. They are really accommodating and helpful. Thanks for making this trip well worth it and helping make a birthday boy very happy!
Nancy K — Google review
Good service and pleasant staff, food is good, mildly over prices. Package deals are fairly priced if you plan to spend all day. Biggest down side is the axe throwing boards are substandard maintained. 90% of bourds are absolutely destroyed in the middle from excessive use.

Lauren B — Google review
It was a fun experience for the whole family! The variety of games are great and pretty fun for all ages! The go karts are a little frustrating for competitive people because the speeds don't seem consistent with all karts, but it's still a great time! The all access pass was $75/person and included 3 kart races and unlimited other games and seems reasonable for all the game options available. The cafe was a bit of sticker shock for mediocre food. For reference we ordered 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, and 3 fountain drinks and it was over $65 before tip. Most of the staff was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful! Overall a great experience and we will definitely go back, I just probably won't eat there again.
Sarah H — Google review
Four of us went for a birthday in our friend group and we honestly had a great time. We had one hiccup - it was not immediately clear that the $75 everything pass is limited to 3 races. That detail is in 4pt red font at the bottom of the box that's barely legible from the counter. There is a second sign with it at the top but it's easy to miss. The wording for the pass makes it seem like everything is unlimited. Last time my friends were here without me and there was a special event where races were unlimited. They thought that was the norm, us not being Lansing people and this being the second time they've been here. I'm considering advocating this place for corporate events but that one detail was kind of a bummer. Other than that - everyone was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. We had an otherwise great time. It's pricey, but it's plain to see why. The karts were a blast and way better what you can experience at CC. Oh, one minor thing. There's a NA Corona poster, so I ordered one being alcohol free lately. They don't carry them - just odd if the poster is on the wall. Bartender was otherwise great.

Frances Park (Lansing, MI) is widely celebrated as a beautiful, versatile park perfect for families, photography, exercise, and small events. Visit during late spring to early summer to enjoy the rose garden in full bloom. In autumn, it is one of the best places to enjoy fall colors in Lansing. It is great for family picnics, engagement, or wedding photos.

Plenty of shade, seating for parents, and tables, but not the best playground area. My kids will play for an hour or more at other places but were a little bored after about 15 minutes-- they are 7 and 9. The rose garden is pretty, and the walking trail is nice, but in the back of the garden, there's a bunch of trees and brush down that haven't been cleaned up since a storm earlier this year. Not the worst park we've been to, but not really the best either.

The East Lansing Family Aquatic Center offers a fun and safe outdoor water experience for families. It features exciting attractions such as a 190-foot tube water slide, splash park, drop slide, diving board, and more. Visitors appreciate the clean and spacious environment, with ample room for kids to enjoy the shallow waters while older ones can spend hours on the water slides. The center is well-maintained with attentive lifeguards and friendly customer service.
An awesome getaway for us on a Monday in July. The park didn't get too crowded and there was plenty of space for the 3 year old to experience shallow waters on her own. The 9 year old spent basically 3 hours going up and down the water slides. Everything felt clean and new. It started to rain just as we were leaving and they asked everyone to leave the pool temporarily. We loved it and we will be back!
Beth — Google review
Had a lot of fun at ELFAC 2day. This was my first time attending this pool and my only reason for goin’ to this spot, was to use the diving board, and it didn’t disappoint. The pool is kinda big with 4 or 5 lifeguards on duty. The few people I spoke to there were cool. Everyone there looked like they were having a good time. I will be returning 😎😎😎
Adrian H — Google review
Our first time going. Had considered buying the season pass for the summer because we’d heard great things. We came at 5pm for the after 5pm dollar off admission. The picture I took is what the pool looked liked the whole time we were there because they had two incidents of kids pooping in the pool. So we got to swim for a total of 20mins in the 2 hours we were there 😞 Disappointed. They honestly should offer refunds/reduced pricing in these cases. I understand they can’t control a kid popping in the pool, but we paid $24 for 20mins of swim time? No thanks. The reason for 3 stars is that it seems they’ve let the bathrooms go into decay and there was a half inch of water everywhere and mold growing on the kids slide. I appreciate the staff being watchful and it’s nice- ish, but not nice enough to justify even $12 a person.
Micah D — Google review
I used to love coming here. But seems in the past few years this place has gone downhill drastically. If you’re walking barefoot you have to constantly watch where you’re walking so you don’t step on food or garbage. Today I saw a dirty swim diaper on the ground right near the bathrooms/front entrance area and no one picked it up, it was there until we left. THE BATHROOMS ARE DISTURBINGLY DISGUSTING- doesn’t look like it’s been decently cleaned in I don’t know how long. I will say this the staff overall is very nice and friendly. I don’t know what’s going on, maybe staff feel like they don’t get paid enough to put the effort into cleaning properly? Maybe it’s just this younger generation not caring enough in general? I feel like at this point management should hire a separate company to come in after hours or before hours to clean the property. I went for the first time today for this season and I honestly have no desire to come back, which is really sad because I used to love this place and I have kids who really enjoy it too. Even my brother used to lifeguard here some years ago. And it’s not like there are other aquatic centers or water parks like this around here, our options are limited as it is. Which makes this all the more disappointing. I truly hope that management will read these reviews and actually take the time to come up with some solutions.
Desirae B — Google review
This place is really nice. I like that once you get your bracelet you can come and go all day. Bring in your own food. The pool size is nice and the deep end goes to 11 ft. Life guards on duty are quick on their toes. All in all very nice
Imeldalee L — Google review
Very good experience. No complaints at all on my end. Decent entry fee and there’s lots of staff on-site to ensure everyone’s safety and they were all friendly. There are multiple pools and sections. I didn’t get to check out the water slides but they looked fun for kids! Nothing thrill seekers will enjoy but on a hot summer day they’ll definitely do their job. No complaints here and will probably come back!
Hamada A — Google review
This facility has definitely declined since last season. Womens restrooms / showers are mold covered on floors and lower walls. Baby changing station is filthy. A gallon of bleach and a scrub brush would go very far to make this place smell and look much better. Power wash maybe a few times a season? Today, a food worker female was eating pizza near a prep table then put down her food, put 1 glove on and proceeded to prepare my food. Yuck! I had to ask for someone else to prepare my food - with clean hands. Definitely not following food safety laws. Gross! Cleanliness also not top priority in pool / seating areas. Overflowing trash, food bits all around the seating areas, heavy presence of bees in seating area near pool - food court trash also nasty and overflowing. Staff seems very relaxed laughing and standing around talking without much effort to clean trash right in front of them. Please do better.
S M — Google review
They charge almost 15. They need to spend some of that money keeping the bathrooms clean. Also 4 bus loads of kids came and so noisy you can't hear the lifeguards. Won't be coming back

Pinball Pete's is a beloved arcade in the region, boasting a 10,000 square foot facility with an extensive selection of pinball machines. The venue offers great options for hosting private events like birthday parties. Despite facing closure in 2020, loyal fans rallied to keep this mid-Michigan hangout alive. Visitors can enjoy various games including pool tables, air hockey, skeeball, and Mrs. Pac-Man.
We finally made it to Pinball Pete's after returning to our home base in Michigan following our extended travels across the United States. Oh gosh, Pinball Pete’s is still around from the 80’s. After high school, Me & brother use to hang out for 2-3 hours a day playing Arcadia games; we spent so much money here playing video games that a times Pete would give free credits to play, me & brother held the record for the most high scores on a lot of the video games; still to this day I highly recommend going Pete’s to play video games because you’ll have fun playing video games for your enjoyment.

Super friendly & kind staff, especially DJ who has such a big heart (give him a raise!) Love the nostalgic real tickets, games, and large array of pinball machines. There’s some newer games for a maximum of $1 which is fairly priced. People don’t realize that Dave & Busters charge like $2+ a game so. However you really do need to get more & better prizes. They’re super cheesy and cheap plus only cater to children. Spent $40 to walk out with two 8 ball keychains, one mini dragon figurine, mini skateboard, and 3 pieces of candy. Let people use tickets to buy the cute T-Shirts (those were very fairly priced at $10 at least.) And lots of games out of order or they broke on us while there….

The mosquitos are not playing around when walking through the forested areas!

It has a fensed in dog park which is nice and it is on a hill so dogs can get energy out. The parking lot is ok but needs clean up. There is a nice vall field and a wide open soccer field both are very nice. I went to the Pavillion to do some work charting. The Pavillion has a public restroom and the parking lot a biffy. There were cute little duck families swimming through the pond and friendly squirrels. The pond was a particularly nice spot to sit quietly and observe the world. I found the injurious plant section to be fascinating as well as the perfumed plants. Parking was better after 6pm. I highly recommend taking a trip to Beal Garden.

Excellent specimen garden with plants divided into sections corresponding to human use of the plants. Located near the river (and a bridge to the stadium), the location is a great place for a walk and an opportunity about a diverse range of plants and wildlife.

Small but a wonderdul garden. It is the Beal Botanical Garden a step from the main library at MSU campus.

Terrifically sublime. The Japanese Gardens are a high water mark, but the entire arboretum is something to write home about. If you live within 20 minutes of this and you have access to transportation, take an afternoon here and you won't regret it.

On MSU campus----the old center part. Look around for parking on perimeter streets & lots (after hours). No admission fee. Old historic garden, well-tended, many rare species. We'll worth a visit!

Beautiful and peaceful. Jazz trio was perfect aural complement. Parking is a little unclear. Shade a nice respite on a hot and humid day.

The W.J. Beal Botanical Garden is a lush, educational oasis nestled in Michigan State University. It boasts a diverse collection of over 5,000 plant species, offering serene scenery and rich learning experiences. Some additional amenities could enhance comfort, but overall, it's a tranquil, must-visit spot for nature lovers and learners.

Beautiful and peaceful setting on the MSU campus. Plan to return in a few weeks to see what else has bloomed!! Great selection of perennials and edible plants.

Park
Lansing Parks & Recreation offers a variety of engaging activities for families, including swim lessons at Dwight Rich School. Parents can appreciate the dedication of the aquatics director, who actively supports children's progress in swimming. Beyond aquatic adventures, visitors can explore beautiful parks where nature thrives—perfect for morning strolls and animal encounters. Additionally, unique classes like belly dancing with experienced instructors provide fun and enriching experiences for all ages.
Beautiful park... I enjoyed meeting the animals on my first morning walk here. Noted and verified this beautiful Poison Ivy greeting me :) June 6,2024 Thankyou to whomever removed the Poison Ivy :) Joan

Lansing parks and recreation is a danger to the children, they do not vet the coaches and put our youth at risk. Do NOT trust them with your children! It is dangerous!

Had a generally positive experience, but I've found that follow-up emails are necessary due to their lack of responsiveness, even in terms of basic communication etiquette. Not even a basic reply, I’ll investigate this further and update you next week. response: Emily Stevens jumped in to help, even though it likely wasn't part of her official duties, and made significant progress with much needed communication. Hats off to Emily!

Apparently the dog park near east Lansing closes over the winter. They locked every entrance, which is such a classist experience as the only other dog park is a pay to enter one. Lansing needs to do better because this is a pitiful community for a dog owner.

We did swim lessons through Parks and Rec at Dwight Rich school. I have a 5yo daughter and a 3yo son. They don’t encourage my son to leave the platform because he doesn’t say “yes.” Edit: the aquatics director has since reached out and gotten involved. She has worked hard to make sure my son progresses at swim lessons.

My kids went to camp here for a couple weeks and then my son got booted for “behavior issues”.My son is on the autism spectrum which was notified to them upfront and in person. They chose to kick him out of camp at the end of a tues and not allow him back for some behavior issues. Understandable if they can’t train their staff well enough to handle all kids. They would not respond to emails from me or my husband or answer the phone for the person I was directed to about getting a refund. So they kept a full weeks fee for camp and after care for both my children when they wouldn’t allow them back. Both kids were super disappointed and heart broken. I had to find last min child care and miss work due to not being able to find anything. My daughter couldn’t go back because I couldn’t take them to separate child care. They also talked negative about my son right in front of him and expected my daughter to have intervened with the behaviors and referred to her just sitting there. She’s 7! We had just moved to Michigan and this is the first impressions we got. Sad that other children who were causing issues and biting were allowed to still come but not my son for his issues.

BEWARE! Teachers at "Homeschool Days at Foster" are malicious. Gossiping about your kids being your backs, including confidential information. Untrained staff provides subpar instruction to kids and usually have no clue how to manage kids, particularly quirky ones. Programming is what you would expect from a city that doesn't invest dollars into facilities nor communities. Teachers and staff do not communicate effectively to parents.

Belly dance classes with Garnett are amazing! The opportunity to learn with a professional who has performed and taught all over the United States is priceless! Lots of fun too!

Nestled along the banks of the Grand River, Grand Woods Park is a delightful public space that offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. With well-maintained walking trails perfect for leisurely strolls or energetic dog walks, you might even encounter some local wildlife, like deer, adding to the park's charm. The park features athletic fields and courts for sports enthusiasts, as well as an inviting pavilion equipped with a fireplace and kitchen facilities—ideal for hosting events or family gatherings.
Had a lot of fun here over the years frisbee golfing, having pig roasts with NA, walking the trails, just a wonderful place to hang out enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
Brandy S — Google review
I walked the trails and disc golf course. The reason I give the park a 4 is because if youbarent familiar with the trails it is easy to get turned around. Many of the map legends around the course have been weathered or vandalized. The park otherwise is very clean and has potential to be top notch. The disc golf course has a beautiful pond and also parts along the river with benches and trash cans.
Grant F — Google review
Lousy discgolf course. pretty average first 3 holes, but after that, the course designers seem to loose any idea what there doing. Baskets placed in random spots with no obvious fairways, t-pads places in spots where you cant even see the baskets, and no signs even showing where there at. Also, zero indicationa how to find the next T-pad even with the map. A few times i had to wonder around the park looking for the next hole. The only thing going for the course is the large, level T-pads and the new, top of the line, Discraft Chainstar-Pro baskets. Over-all a below average course, but probably good enough for the casuals and local community,
Mitch A — Google review
One of the best places in Lansing. Wonderful disc golf course. Remote control car track is cool to watch. Aways mowed. A++ Park for the whole family and a great reason to put your phone away. My family walks the groomed trails regularly.
Justin B — Google review
Grand Woods Park is a large park with many amenities, including a disc golf course. Beautiful hiking trails along the river.
Amy G — Google review
Nice park, well taken care off. Nice previllion and grills if you want to come out and do celebration or just family gatherings. Trails to walk, Frisbee Golf, and river trail for a little fishing.
Kane V — Google review
Grand Woods Park Big, easy entrance, lots of parking. Restrooms. Came here for the Hmong Lansing new year in 2023/2024. Solid place. Just big enough for Hmong people. Only one entrance and exit. Recommended
Kalvin H — Google review
My homeboy and me and my girlfriend had a great day of golf that was fantastic. It's a course that will make you find a throw ,you didn't know you could. I'm super happy to drive the hour. I recommend putting on your wish list
