Bakery
Brød - The Danish Bakery is a cozy coffee shop and bakery located in the heart of Cardiff. Founded by Betina Skovbro, who brought a taste of Denmark to Wales after missing the bread from her home country, this bakery offers a variety of freshly baked Danish pastries and great coffee made with beans from Clifton Roasters. It's an ideal spot for a quick breakfast treat before starting your day, whether you're heading to uni or simply looking for a sweet start to your morning.
Really worth a visit to this local but Danish bakery. They only had cold options plus hot drinks of course but what I had was fantastic. I only dropped in as I was waiting for a meeting, but the service and food was excellent. I will be visiting again without doubt. Parking is always a problem in this part of Cardiff but you can park not too far away. The coffee shop bakery was very clean, stylish and had a lovely morning vibe. So do yourself a favour and drop in for something to eat as it is not just somewhere to have a drink but an excellent place to put on some calories, I know I did!

Very cute shop for a nice coffee or study date. I ordered a cinnamon roll and some green tea. They accidentally brought me the wrong one they gave me the one with apple, and they soon realized that it’s wrong so they kindly replace it and even asked if I wanted them both. The shop has a bathroom and it’s very clean and accessible to disabled people. It offers a wide range of pastries. Sadly I think that the cinnamon roll was a bit too sweet for me especially with the glaze on top, so I removed it and it was better.
WZX C — Google review
I visited this bakery and found the place spacious and comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere. Their baked goods are delicious and fresh, and I really enjoyed the variety they offer. However, I wish they had a service to warm up the pastries — it would be wonderful to enjoy hot, freshly warmed pastries, especially on cold winter days.
Arig E — Google review
Such a clean and cozy place. I discovered this hidden gem while I was on my way to visit my GP. I like the bakes. Also, their coffee has a great taste.
Fadwa S — Google review
Such a nice bakery with a huge range of delicious baked goods! I personally loved the cheese and tomato Snegl and had breakfast there both mornings of my weekend in Cardiff.
Holly S — Google review
Lovely bakery, food was amazing so was the coffee. Staff was nice and the atmosphere was very vibrant. You could tell by how busy it was that the foods good! Would definitely recommend a visit but be prepared to spend a bit!
Kyle F — Google review
Coffee was average and overpriced. £3.95 for a flat white and £3.5 for a long black. I would expect very good quality for those prices and it didn't deliver. They also charge 60p for oat milk.
Adam S — Google review
This is an elite bakery! In all my travels I love heading to a bakery to get myself a sweet or savoury treat, and this sits top of the pile. At this place I got both sweet and savoury due to the excellent selection on offer. I had a cinnamon swirl that was beautifully soft with delicious flavour of cinnamon and white icing. For the savoury treat I had a cheese and pepperoni swirl, that again was beautifully soft and packed with unbelievably good cheesy flavour. If you’re in Cardiff it’s well worth heading up to this part of town to grab something!

Bakery
Cardiff Bakestones, located in the lively Cardiff market, offers a taste of authentic Welsh tradition with their renowned Welsh cakes. The bakery is celebrated for its perfectly griddled cakes and has become a must-visit for both locals and tourists seeking a glimpse into Wales' culinary heritage. In addition to the classic currant-filled variety, they also offer unique twists such as chocolate chip, lemon curd, jam, cream, and coconut versions made on traditional bakestones right before your eyes.
We came for the welsh cakes (you should too). I had the traditional and my wife had the lemon filled (mine was still warm!). Loved the assortment of fillings and that the welsh cakes are made on site, and that you can see them being made. Highly recommended.
The T — Google review
Tried authentic homemade Welsh cakes for the very first time at Cardiff Bakestones — and they were absolutely amazing! Soft, warm, and perfectly sweet, they truly melt in your mouth. You can tell they’re made with care and tradition, just like how it should be. Such a lovely local gem inside Cardiff Market — friendly service, great prices, and a must-visit if you're in the city. I’ll definitely be back for more when I visit Cardiff next time
Masita A — Google review
Really lovely Welsh cakes. Lots of different flavours and some with filling. We had coconut, chocolate and pistachio, lemon, and jam. You could watch the cakes being made which was fun. They had other cakes too, which we didn't try, but looked lovely - the fact I didn't buy a rock cake will haunt me for a long time ... !
ALM — Google review
Best part of my quick stop in Cardiff for sure! I only had a few hours in the city, but luckily my friend told me to go there and I found the Bakestone stall inside Cardiff Market — and what a treat! The welshcakes were warm, soft, and very tasty, cooked right in front of me. I grabbed a bag with 10 and got a fresh coffeec close there and it was just perfect. So cozy and comforting. Honestly, was my favorite part of the whole visit. If you’re around, definitely should go and get a few welshcakes. I think you won’t regret it! :)
Jamile — Google review
This stall in Cardiff Market produces freshly baked Welsh Cakes home made style. Tried the traditional cake with raisin, with chocolate chips, short bread with chocolate chips, and chocolate fudge cake. All taste amazing. Especially the traditional cakes, ate the cakes while warm, really felt like down to earth and heart warming. A must-go place in Cardiff!
Spike Q — Google review
Authentic, traditional and modern twists on bakestones; otherwise known as "Welsh cakes" in English, "Pics" in Wenglish and "Picau ar y maen" (pic-aye arr uh mine) in Welsh. In my family we do call them "Pics". Very friendly and efficient.
Leigh C — Google review
I have been going to this place for at least 10 years and have always loved the Welsh cakes here. A must visit for anyone coming into Cardiff! Aside from the traditional Welsh cakes, the lemon curd and strawberry ones are delightful! Bara brith and scones were wonderful too. Very happy to see they’ve upgraded the shop and that they’re doing so well.
AMLT — Google review
Big queue but quick, a good selection of different flavours of Welsh cake so that you can try different ones. Minimum card payment of 5 pound.

Ground Bakery, located in the creative area of Pontcanna, is a chic and compact coffee shop founded by MasterChef star Thomas Simmons. The bakery offers an array of brunch options and delectable baked goods such as overnight bacon, mushrooms and eggs, Llys Meddyg smoked salmon and eggs, and house beans and eggs. In addition to its original location in Pontcanna, Ground Bakery has expanded with two sister cafes in Penarth and Cowbridge.
We had two amazing breakfast here. Granola was super delicious, as well as avocado toast & egg benedicte. Coming from Switzerland good bread and pastries are highly appreciated. Beautiful store & friendly staff.

This bakery is a hidden gem! The baked goods are fresh and full of flavour, and the coffee is simply top-notch—smooth, strong, and satisfying. What truly stood out, though, was the service. The team is warm, welcoming, and incredibly fast. Their smiles and positive attitude made the whole visit even more enjoyable. A perfect spot for anyone who loves great coffee, tasty pastries, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Incredible food. Great quality coffee and really good service. Can't fault the place and it was really decent value for the quality serving. The interiors are absolutely gorgeous too, the lighting everywhere and lovely muted tones really make the ambiance lovely.

This is a genuinely phenomenal breakfast, brunch and coffee spot. The food and coffee just honestly hit the spot. They are well thought out and all made with care, all done to outstanding quality. Cosy atmosphere in a really calm part of the city, it’s a little getaway to get lost in and enjoy.

Got recommended this place and it was well worth a visit. A queue formed before opening which was a good sign. Good coffee and a cracking breakfast. The pastries also looked superb!!!

Such an amazing brunch spot - set on a cute street and the staff were so lovely. Food was delicious with great portions. Lots of room inside and out.
Jennifer C — Google review
I went for brunch with my husband on Sunday around 12pm thankfully there were tables available as I hadn’t booked in advance. We ordered the Eggs Royale but I switched out the croissant roll for some sour dough toast, a chai latte and an iced coffee. Our food came out promptly, aesthetic and was really tasty. Initially we ordered a fresh orange juice but noticed this was just bottled so my husband switched it out for an iced latte however this took a while to arrive. Service was good some staff seemed more experienced than others. Atmosphere was really chilled as it was a beautiful day there was an option to sit outside. Dog friendly.

Ordered a cardamom bun & veggie bap to share & would recommend both. On the pricer end for your usual pastries. Lovely decor with a fresh, homely feel & helpful service. Get there early on a Sat as it gets busy quick!

Pettigrew Bakeries in Victoria Park is a staple of the local food scene, renowned for its exceptional bread and baked goods. The bakery offers a variety of delectable treats, including creme brulee croissants, plum danishes, and cheese mustard crowns that have garnered high praise from visitors. In addition to their mouthwatering offerings, Pettigrew Bakery also provides baking courses for enthusiasts looking to learn the art of bread making.
Regularly visit to buy their excellent sourdough bread. Trying to cut down on preservatives in the food we eat, I feel very grateful that we live close to pettigrews. The service is excellent. The staff are always friendly and professional, and the choice is extensive. Can get very busy on certain days, but that shows just how good they are. Would have no hesitation in recommending this business.
Ronald B — Google review
We visited three Pettigrew locations during our stay in Cardiff! Stuff we tried: 1..Creme brulee croissant (10 out of 10): creme diplomat is divine, crunchy exterior tops it off...visited two days in a row for this! 2. Plum Danish (10/10): really top notch laminated dough, jam filled center, and generous cream with lovely slices of plum on top. On par with the creme brulee croissant as my favorite 3. Cheese Mustard Crown (7/10): very good, savory deliciousness, with tear apart cheesy goodness 4. Sausage Roll (6/10): decent sausage roll, but nothing to shout about 5. Semolina sourdough: review is TBD! Customer Service: we dropped one of our coffees on the floor while fumbling with our bag of pastries. The barista was kind enough to brew another Americano for us, and quickly mopped the floor while we apologized profusely. I really appreciate their gesture and reassurance that it was ok and that things like this happen 🙏🏻🥺 Seating: There is no seating inside at the Victoria Park location, but there are picnic tables outside.
Tina T — Google review
Came across this place on a recent visit to Victoria Park and was in disbelief having been served at the prices charged. I ordered two Bacon Rolls, two coffees and a pastry and it came to £23.60. I could not believe my eyes when the price was told to me and assumed there had been some sort of mistake but apparently not. I begrudgingly paid and waited for my food and drinks to arrive. And waited. And waited. 10 mins later my food arrived and a further 10 minutes later my coffees were ready. The food had gone cold by this point which was thoroughly disappointing and no apology from the staff. I work in Kensington, a fashionable, upmarket suburb in London yet have never paid these prices. I find it amazing for what was a few rashers of bacon in a small roll and £3.90 for a latte in a suburb of Cardiff. I think the owner of this place has forgotten his roots and lost grip on reality. When I am back in Cardiff next I would be surprised if this place is still going at these prices. The staff should wear masks when charging
Andy U — Google review
Came here for pain au chocolates, sourdough loaf and an iced vanilla latte. Food absolutely delicious. The sourdough bread was to die for. Service great, wasn’t much choice but I was down after they’d been open for an hour already. Drinks do take awhile to wait for. I would come back here as another treat.
Danielle T — Google review
I'm a regular customer, excellent friendly service and top quality bread and baked goods. Plenty of vegan options amongst the cookies etc and appreciate that they regularly innovate and change the products offered to keep things interesting. Vegan roll is the best of it's type around.
Jon M — Google review
Croissants are buttery and fresh! Everything looked equally delicious! Great friendly service too
Heather M — Google review
Food is great! But probably the last 8 times I've popped in they're basically sold out of savoury food. Usually go in about 1pm and they're sold out of more or less everything. Seems very early to be sold out. Bit frustrating and seems like a consistent problem
Kieran T — Google review
Oh have mercy. These pastries were incredible. Brownie pain au chocolat? Starbucks could never. I can't rate the atmosphere as they were having work done inside so the actual bakery was closed, but it didn't stop them serving the good people of Cardiff (and English visitors like myself..!!) as they were outside under cover still dispensing coffee, pastries and bread in the open autumn weather. Seemed like lovely people, the coffee was also very nice, and my relative I was there with said it's always a lovely experience there! If I'm back in Cardiff, I'll be coming back.

Bakery
Tŷ Melin Bakery has quickly become a beloved gem in Cardiff since its debut in May 2020, captivating locals and visitors alike with an array of mouthwatering pastries. From their signature croissant bomb to the delightful almond pain au chocolat, each treat is crafted with care and expertise. The bakery's popularity is evident as queues often form outside their Cardiff Bay location on weekends, and they are set to expand further with a new shop on Wellfield Road.
Almond croissants from here are absolutely phenomenal. Quite easily the best I’ve ever had
Joseph L — Google review
I ordered the carrot cake it was okay but a bit sweet. To drink I’ve ordered the matcha chai latte i quite liked the mix of flavours, however the matcha wasn’t mixed well, there were pieces at the bottom of the cup. Everything was served in take out cup and bags, so even if you are sitting in they still serve you like that. The waiting time to order was a bit long even though there were only two people in front of me. The shop isn’t very spacious, there is a bathroom inside the coffee shop.
WZX C — Google review
A cute little bakery with friendly staff and quality pastries. I'd return for more. ☺️
Will K — Google review
A little underwhelmed tbh. Met up with a friend for a coffee and sweet treat. The inside was really quiet and echoey with little atmosphere. Feel like they could use some background music. I ordered a flat white and mince pie. The coffee was weak and not very hot. The mince pie was crumbly and a little burnt. My friend had a cappuccino and ‘croissant bomb’ and was also underwhelmed. I feel like they need to improve a lot given it’s quite pricey.
Stephen C — Google review
I have just tried the sourdough bread from Ty Melin, and it is excellent. I will continue to buy bread from here whenever I am passing, since it is so good. The staff are very pleasant.

My favourite bakery in Cardiff. Possibly the world. They really know their way around an espresso machine and the pastries are always delicious. The lemon friand is my favourite. At Christmas make sure you have a mince pie. They are out of this world.

Pettigrew Tea Rooms, located in the castle-like gatehouse of Bute Park, offers classic afternoon teas and a selection of sandwiches featuring Welsh mature cheddar or Perl Wen organic brie. The tea room is known for its homemade bakes and warm scones. It's a cozy spot to enjoy local and homemade produce while taking in the tranquil woodland surroundings of Bute Park.
What a fantastic place. We had an afternoon tea for five there. We've had quite a few at different venues, but this is right at the top. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches are made with a variety of fresh breads, and the fillings are very generous. We had a very enjoyable time and would recommend you try it out.

My daughter and I received a voucher for Pettigrew Tea rooms as a gift. We absolutely loved it. The staff were wonderful, both the sandwiches and cakes were gorgeous and the atmosphere was amazing. We thoroughly recommend. Thank you 🤩
Dionne H — Google review
My boyfriend and I visited for our two year anniversary after reading good reviews. We contacted the tea rooms prior to visiting to see if we could change the sandwich option and they were very highly accommodating as the chef makes the sandwiches fresh - can remove and add anything to the sandwiches. The food was delicious! We ordered the chicken and stuffing, ham and roasted veg sandwiches. It also consisted of two scones (cranberry and white chocolate for my boyfriend and a plain one for me), two gingerbread men, chocolate fudge and two mini mince pies. We were both stuffed and still had a cake slice each to choose from the counter!! We were able to get more hot water for our two pots of tea which is great for a cold day ☺️ The waiter was very friendly and polite - explained the menu very well and was happy to answer any questions. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Cardiff for the day.

Lovely little tea room in the park. Lots of variety of options. We tried the chocolate cake, berry cake, and tea. Delicious! The cream in the berry cake was particularly great. Will definitely return if we visit Cardiff again. Shout-out to the staff who were so lovely and attentive even during the weekend afternoon rush.

Went for an afternoon tea. Indoor seating was fully booked so I needed to sit outside. I had a cappuccino and a piece of Victoria sponge. Nothing beats a good coffee in the park. Staff were friendly. My only complaint is that my cake was dry but other than that perfect place for a nice afternoon especially if you like good views!
Kyle F — Google review
This place is so cute! Like a mini castle. The scones.. marvellous! The tea, well I didn't actually have tea but I bet it's the real deal. I had coffee and some scones (I know.. I know) I'll be back though. It's a small tea room with extra seating upstairs, all very relaxing. Definitely worth a visit.
Aron L — Google review
Probably the best afternoon tea I've ever had. Great selection of sandwiches, cakes, and teas. The scones are absolutely delicious and freshly baked, the cream and jam were authentic and veery yummy. I love that they had the choice of fruit or plain scones (I don't like fruit scones ever). The gentleman was so kind and accommodating, we had a brownie to go because I was too full to eat anymore! It was a delicious brownie even when I had the second half the next day. They got back to me really fast when I enquired to make a booking. The seating and rooms were gorgeous, really comfortable, and a very pretty calming setting. Can't wait to come back when I'm in Cardiff next!

From the Steak and Eggs Hoagie to the signature New York Hoagie featuring pastrami, Swiss cheese, NYD-coleslaw, and more, there's something for everyone.
Ordered the New York Bagel for lunch, had a nice conversation with the man behind the counter making it. The bagel was great, the price for what you get was great, the conversation was great, a real hidden gem! Will be back next time I’m in Cardiff!

Nata & Co Bakery was established by Portuguese bakers who wanted to bring authentic Portuguese pastries to Cardiff. It has become a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking for delicious homemade food. The bakery aims to share Portuguese culture and cafe traditions with visitors while also providing a taste of home for the local Portuguese community. Known for their mouth-watering selection of Portuguese pastries, Nata & Co is expanding across Cardiff due to its growing popularity.
We've just been to Nata & Co for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Both cod dishes were excellent, you can really taste the authentic Portuguese home cooking. We were served by the "Romanian Lady", as she likes to be called. Her service was very warm and attentive, she also took time to have a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend Nata & Co ☺️.

A lovely bakery offering delicious pastries- picked up a selection of croissants and cakes for a networking event at work, and the staff were really helpful. Amazing value and welcoming atmosphere. The best start to my day- thank you

These Portuguese egg tarts are like crack. Addicting, flavourful and quality. I can never get enough. Fir the best experience I recommend eating them there with some coffee. Staff are always so happy and helpful too!

Amazing! Hands down the best place to have breakfast/coffee/snack in Cardiff. The owner is a star: great customer service and even better food! Brilliant selection of typical Portuguese and Brazilian treats. I only wish I had taken more photos before jumping into it lol. Highly recommend the “bolinho de bacalhau”, “coxinha”, tostas, pastel de nata e “docinho de Azeitão”!!!

Absolutely delicious. Eaten cakes from here often and each time it's been taste sensation. I also had an afternoon tea from here and it was honestly one of the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Recently had a birthday cake from there and again was blown away by the taste. Highly recommended so give them a try!
Jonboy R — Google review
Had a delicious afternoon tea here last weekend. Was very busy but we're accommodated quickly. Staff were very friendly and the food was really tasty and beautifully presented. Recommend booking ahead for afternoon tea as there wasn't a free table for very long in this place.
Tasha D — Google review
Great presentation on desserts however they aren't as good as they look ! Reasonable pricing. Breakfast here is delicious, and worth the money if you fancy treating yourself on a weekend! I had the eggs royale with smoked salmon. Decent coffee.
Yusra Q — Google review
Went for my first visit on a busy Sunday. I had a lovely Mocha and a dreamy light raspberry sponge delight. My colleague had an item which they described as ‘the perfect harmony of coffee, chocolate, and nutella’ accompanied by the best apple juice to ever hit their lips. Pricier than your average coffee shop but it’s easy to understand why. Would highly recommend to those nearby - a great addition to Whitchurch Road! Only negative were the aged canteen style decor and uneven lights above the counter.
Stephen C — Google review
Every time I visit Cocorico they are fantastic. I tend to go in the morning for breakfast which are always delicious and well presented. My favourites are the vegetarian breakfast (Glamorgan sausages are yummy) and the poached eggs on sour dough toast. The glass counter of inhouse made macarons, pastries and patisseries are stunning. So beautiful and the flavours are lovely. Today I bought a piece of Opera cake, Paris Brest and a chocolate macaron for my family to try tonight after dinner. A must visit. They do get busy so go early for breakfast.

Amazing patisserie and a great location to have breakfast/lunch. The selection is very vast all cooked and prepared with high quality ingredients! Friendly staff and company so I would highly recommend a visit!

Lovely cozy atmosphere, staff were friendly and helped with recommendations. I had Smoked salmon on sourdough for brunch which was yummy! Great dessert choices too!

French Bakery in Whitchurch Road, Cardiff. The staff were polite and most helpful. The decor is pleasing. The place had people enjoying snacks. I enjoyed a full Cocorico Breakfast which included a slice of fresh sourdough with flavoured baked beans, well done Bacon, a sausage, a flavoured half tomato, and a creatively made rosti made of spiced sweet potato. Two poached eggs added to the enjoyment. There were a wide range of Macaroons of different colours and flavours. The cakes and patisseries were most beautiful. They don't do baguettes , which is a bit of a disappointment. The cappuccino and later the Americano coffees were good. There was notice stating that the wheelchair ramp was available on request. All in all a great experience. Oh, the macaroons were great!

Fresh the Baguette Bar, located in the Royal Arcade, is a popular spot among city dwellers and office workers in Cardiff. It has been rated as the top lunchtime destination on TripAdvisor for its scrumptious sandwiches, with many customers dubbing it their favorite place to eat in the city. The bar offers a wide variety of baguettes and panini fillings, including options for vegetarians.
Nicest baguette you’ll ever have. Not even a baguette lover but I come here most days, best lunch spot around. Loveliest owners and staff. There’s a reason why they have queues down the arcade open till close. Highly recommend the number 6 on the board. 10/10
Joe S — Google review
We were walking through one of the arcades feeling hungry when we spotted a queue outside this place. That’s usually a good sign, so we turned around and joined it. If people are happy to wait in line, the food must be worth it. Turns out the baguettes really are very good. Most of the ingredients seem to be made fresh in house, which is great. That said, I don’t believe the baguettes themselves are freshly baked there, as I saw the guy handling what looked like part baked rolls from the supermarket. The only thing that let the experience down was the rushed attitude from the lady making the sandwiches. I get that there was a long queue, but she didn’t really take any time to listen or understand what I was asking for. That aside, the pricing is very reasonable for what you get, and some of the menu options were really creative — combinations I haven’t come across before. Honestly, this place could really benefit from an upgrade to its facilities. There’s no option to eat in, and trying to walk around Cardiff with a large baguette is awkward and messy. That alone puts me off going again. My rating of 4 out of 5 is based on the overall experience. If I was rating the food alone, it would be a solid 5. I wouldn’t necessarily return in its current setup, but if they offered dine in options I’d definitely be back.
Bob J — Google review
Easily the best baguettes you'll find. The queues just show how good it is. The number 6 with chicken, Salami, Salami Cracklin and Truffle mayo is my favourite, easily the best baguette I've ever had Cakes are great too so make sure you grab a slice.
Paul B — Google review
Me and my mum tried here the other day after years of wanting to visit. We got lucky as there was virtually no wait, and our baguettes were extraordinary. I had a veggie one whilst my mum had the special, and we were both blown away by how something so simple tasted so amazingly good. Reasonably priced, and the sandwiches are well filled (but not to the point where you can’t eat them without fillings falling out everywhere). Great vegetarian options including quorn and fake bacon! Service was quick, friendly and warm. I will definitely be back again!
Lille J — Google review
Worth Every Minute in Line Always wanted to try this spot and finally made it, the line was long but absolutely worth the wait. I ordered the chicken chorizo with truffle and it was spot on, packed with flavour and perfectly balanced. Service was really nice, staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere added to the whole experience. Only downside is that it’s closed on weekends but if you catch it open, don’t miss the chance to try it. Easily one of the best sandwich places around.
John — Google review
The no.6 is one of the best sandwiches ever made!! This is THE best sandwich spot in Cardiff hands down! i don't always love being in the city centre but i always love heading here so I willingly dodge all the chuggers, octopus energy, Scottish power and sky tv touts just so I come and get my beloved no.6, run by a bunch of legends!
Jamie R — Google review
If the queue outside every Monday-Friday, doesn't confirm this as the greatest lunch spot in Cardiff.. The incredible Baguettes do, the Friday Indian special is just that. Highly recommend it. Also anything with Salami Crackling, or the beef and peppercorn sauce special is also delicious. Great service and staff are so attentive and friendly.

Why did I have to wait so long to get a take away coffee? 1. Staff busy chatting to customers (not serving or taking orders- but chatting whilst I waited at the counter) 2. Midway through making my coffee, staff members thought it appropriate to share holiday photos with each other. And the verdict on the take away flat white: average at best.
A J — Google review
Such a lovely brunch/lunch spot. We missed the brunch cutoff (12pm) but they still had plenty on offer from pastries, cakes, brownies, savouries (sausage rolls, quiches) and a couple of different salads. I had a mixed salad plate with goats cheese and the portion was very generous (especially of the goats cheese), and the selection of salads was spot on! So hard to find a place that does a good salad these days. Staff were all very friendly and didn't seem to mind at all when my 3 month old started grizzling a bit. Their honey salted brownie was top tier- I will be back purely for this alone 🤤🤤 we went on a Wednesday for lunch and it was quite busy with a couple seats outdoors too. On the smaller side with around 10/12 tables or so but i had no issues with finding a spot to tuck away the pram.

We tried Welch cakes for the first time from this place and it was delicious. The hazelnut was the best. The original and lemon flavors were no slouch either. Great service and fresh off the grill, must try in Cardiff.

Quick, cheap & delicious! Was happy that i could grab some on my way out of Cardiff. I think the flavors could be slightly stronger, I couldn’t tell much of a difference between the 3, but still good! Great way to make sure you experience a little Welsh culture in Cardiff.

I’m not joking I’m addicted to their welsh cakes. You can smell them all the way down the street and that’s how I found out about this place🤣. The cakes are warm, fresh, comforting and absolutely delicious! I liked the classic more than the chocolate ones and I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t even like raisins! If I didn’t have any self control I would literally eat them everyday.

With its charming baby pink decor, this bakery-café creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying their extensive selection of baked goods. From festive donuts featuring flavors like gingerbread and chocolate hazelnut liqueur to moist cupcakes topped with vegan whipped cream, there's something for everyone.
I visited with my wife and 3 year old daughter for a vegan hot chocolate and ended up also eating 2 donuts and a cupcake!! The hot chocolate was lovely, topped with vegan whipped cream and marshmallows. The donuts were delicious and the cupcake moist and flavoursome. I will be frequenting this establishment on a regular basis. Also very cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.

The best cupcakes, hot chocolates and vegan sandwiches in Cardiff. A super bright and clean little place with great atmosphere and the most lovely staff! We are really looking forward to what they do over the next year as they've got off to such a strong start. It's our new favourite place in Roath.
Jenna C — Google review
Instagramable spot with a good ambience but very limited menu. The coffee and iced tea was fabulous but the mac and cheese was really bad for the price. Wouldn't recommend the cafe for food.
Kritii S — Google review
This place is a millennial pink dream. It's soft and glowy and a lovely place to escape the outside world for a moment. The vegan donuts are to die for (I tried one with coconut fake 'bacon' and another with lotus biscoff paste) and I recommend the lemonades. As a part time wheelchair user, I can't give it full stars because it is not wheelchair accessible. The staff with help open the front door for you but there is a small step that is hard without assistance and the toilet is too small for even a small chair. That said, it's still a place I'll be coming back to.

The donuts and coffee are so good! My wife and I have made Blanche part of our Saturday morning routine. We go to the nearby farmer's market and then stop off at Blanche for a real treat. The Earl Grey donut and the Pina Colada ones are stunning and many of the others are really tasty.

We tried the mango crepe cake and strawberry cake both of them tasted very delicious however I dun know if its worth it to pay £10 for just two slices of cake hence I have only given 4/5 star for food. But other than the price the staff were so friendly and the shop itself has a only a few seating.
Bleubirdy99 — Google review
I think it's slightly over hyped, the food there is quite expensive and there wasn't much of a selection when I arrived there just before midday. What I had was tasty enough, I had one chicken spring roll type snack, and some green tea swiss roll. I also had a bubble tea. Each item in their own right tasted nice enough. The tapioca in the bubble tea was over soft and all rather stuck together. Making it near impossible to actually drink as it just blocked the big straw. So I had to sip it from the top in the end.

Lovely small café in Albany area with great pastries and cakes. I loved the cosy interior and how fresh the food was (reasonably priced as well). Wherever I go the cakes are just too sweet for my taste, but I've found that here the sweetness is very subtle. Pettigrew Bakeries in Castle Arcade is a charming tea room located within the castle and Bute park walls in West Lodge. Known for its famous Afternoon teas, this fairly new establishment offers a variety of locally sourced and homemade treats, making it perfect for those with specific preferences. The Castle Quarter Arcade, where Pettigrew Bakeries is situated, is an old-fashioned shopping mall filled with unique gifts from independent local businesses.
So I was walking by and the atmosphere caught my eye. It was busy and the chap who was alone was constantly making coffee or selling his baked goods or clearing tables. I just had to get a piece of this action. The coffee was strong, full flavoured and gave that hit that I wanted. The baked goods, well I tried nearly everything, the croissant was delicious, the pain au chocolate was rich, the brownie was moist and melt in your mouth goodness. The Welsh cake was solid yet it was consistent, not too sweet not at all dry. The sausage rolls are delicious, they have a vegan version as well. Okay they are very good, but it's going to cost you. But its worth it. The quality is so good I was told they are short listed for a top bakers award. I can understand that. Good things cost money and this is well worth it. Check them out.

Lovely little bakery cafe in high street arcade. Small shop area and some outside seating. More suited for takeout. Great selection of delicious pastries, breads, savoury snacks and coffee/drinks. Recommend the delicious creme brulee croissant! Service was friendly and pleasant. It had a constant line of customers which says it all. Really nice shop with lovely bakes although I wish it had more seating.

Easily my favourite place in Cardiff, I recommend this restaurant to all my friends/family that visit. The staff are absolutely amazing, they're all so so lovely, always making an effort with asking how you are and bringing your food/drinks to you. The atmosphere in the cafe (I always go to Castle Arcade) is so nice, with lovely music and a chill vibe. Perfect for having a catch up or personally to journal. And the food is SO good. I've tried so many of the pastries at this point but my personal faves are the Pain Suisse, Pain au chocolat and Hazelnut pain au chocolat but they're all good. The coffee is really good too according to my boyfriend (I don't like coffee sadly) Genuinely this place is my favourite place to come and me and my boyfriend have made it a weekly Sunday tradition to come here😁

It's a shame thr flat white tasted like warm milk with an aftertaste of coffee. Far too diluted to even be called a flat white. I appreciated the coffee art and it had a nice interior, but the coffee was just very disappointing.

It’s my first time coming here. It caught my eye because it looked like a cute, peaceful and small local cafe. The bakery looked too beautiful to be even eaten! But I don’t regret going there. What a brilliant little place, clearly trying its best to replicate Portuguese cuisine. Loved the coxinha do frango, bacalhau com natas of course, and pastéis de nata. Service was excellent, and food served at the right temperature. Would recommend trying the different types of pastéis de nata available!

The bakery has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a quiet break or catch-up. The space is cosy with a nice chill vibe, and it’s clear that care has been taken in creating an inviting setting. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the ambience. Staff were quite cold and inhospitable, which left a bit of a sour note. I ordered the regular pastel de nata and the lemon version. The original was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the lemon one didn’t taste particularly fresh — it felt more like lemon curd added on top of the regular tart rather than a thoughtfully made variation. Overall, a mixed experience. Great setting, average pastries, and unwelcoming service.

Obsessed with this place. Great food and service, amazing coffee and selection of treats. Best nata I have ever tasted In my life. My go to when in Cardiff. Oh also - they have a cool digital loyalty card you can have on your phone’s wallet so you never forget it:)

Very good espresso (not an easy thing to find a good one generally) and very tasty nata. Friendly service and not expensive at all.

Absolutely wonderful food. Nata's are delicious, so much so I had two and a Merenda Mista And chai tea was also really good.

My wife and I came across them today. We loved all the cakes. The pastel which came with our coffee, the coffee biscuit cake, the shortbread biscuit along with the Brazilian Guava drink. The shortbread tasted lovely and tasted like it was handmade and was not produced in a factory. The pastel cake was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The coffee biscuit cake my wife had more of it, but she loved the cake and it was soft. You can tell the coffee was made with love with the pictures below. It's reasonably priced and very close to castle. Worth a visit if in the centre of Cardiff

Cafe
Hard Lines Cafe has become a beloved coffee icon in Cardiff, with locations in Canton and Cardiff Market. The cafe is known for its great coffee, customer relationships, sustainability efforts, and funky packaging. Inspired by the diner culture of the west coast of America and old school Italian valley cafes, their Canton location serves epic breakfasts, lunch, sweet treats, and quality coffee with epic tunes.
The best coffee shop in Cardiff! The top 3 best espresso’s I’ve ever had in my life. After traveling for the last decade around America, Europe and the Middle East, the Kenyan kaguyu AA was extracted perfectly from Hardlines cafe in Cardiff. Often having taste notes such as blackberry, treacle and hibiscus you often don’t taste that and usually quite disappointed as you drink a bitter/ sour espresso…. But the description is bang on perfect as the flavors explode in your mouth with perfect sweetness and taste balance. It’s exactly what it says it is. I ordered a second literally instantly because of how good this tasted. It has reinvented the idea in my mind of what a good espresso tastes like. The culture is humble - kind, loving and caring. Being the best espresso - a kind culture and workers that are willing to discuss and open about their extracting process is rare. They’ve done a great job at making it all about quality without snobbery. A welcoming and enjoyable environment to be apart of and glad that I was able to experience it for a moment. (Apologies for the half eaten food pic) but it was too good to wait. A very generous amount of food for a great price - especially in this economic climate. I had a breakfast bun - a bun as soft as a cloud and filling for such a good price. You have to come here. It was worth the 3.5 hour drive alone just for the espresso on the flight I bought. Fire merch - fire food - exquisite espresso - phenomenal customer service. Go here asap!!

Some of the best coffee in Cardiff, especially the filter which is incredible. Good food, enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros with plenty of hot sauce

Go early to ensure you have the full menu on offer - we got there at about 2:15pm and a bit of the menu had run out, not their fault, just shows it's popular! We went on a Monday so I suspect the weekend is mad busy. We had the breakfast bun and the burrito, both were really excellent. The merch is very fun as is the classic cafe atmos. A hard recommend.

I signed up to the Coffee Club subscription one year ago today. At that time I was tired, frustrated and felt overwhelmed at the future. However since starting my coffee subscription my life has turned around. I'm now happily married, my business is celebrating its best year ever, and my cricket team reached our first ever final. I owe it all to Hard Lines Coffee. Fantastic.

The best coffee shop / bakery in town! Fantastic food!! Service is absolutely phenomenal, Hayden always welcomes us with a big smile and if we come a bit late usually there is nothing left because they sold out and Hayden made us the most amazing toast with roasted courgette, whipped feta with herbs and sun-dried tomatoes + garlic pesto & balsamic vinegar! + beautiful soup! Please do add this to the menu - it is soooo GOOD! We love coming to Alex Gooch Cardiff again and again, it’s our favourite place ☺️♥️⭐️

Probably the best coffee I have ever had. Went to get a haircut and this place always looks busy, however today it was quiet so popped in for a little break. Friendly staff, nice chilled out atmosphere, the baked goods looked lovely, although I just had a coffee. Will certainly be going back

Fabulous place. Best pastries I’ve ever tasted and had a delicious toasted cheese sandwich for breakfast. Even better than the food (if that’s possible!) is the exceptional service. The loveliest staff who make you feel so welcome and put a smile on your face.

Lovely food with outstanding staff, was made to feel very welcome by people who knew the product and happy to talk through options. I would normally run screaming from a place that doesn’t accept cash but I cannot take it away from a place that was so refreshingly good in every other way.

Really cute Bakery and coffee shop. The staff was friendly and the venue is really pretty! Great selection of breads and sweet treats! I had the cappuccino which was good but more on the pricier side of £3.8 would definitely come again! The star lost is for the 60p price difference compared to other Coffee shops in the area.

Hayden served us at the end of a manic bank holiday day. There were no cakes left but he whipped up a chocolate cream and put it in a croissant for us! Lovely little cafe in Victoria Park and also dog friendly (they even have a jar of dog treats!). There are a few tables inside, as well as outside. We tried a beetroot latte, flat white and a crunchie tiffin. I wasn't sure what the beetroot latte would taste like but I was pleasantly surprised and loved the spices in it! The other items were great too! We will definitely come back again to try something else

The interior of the cafe is as unique as its culinary offerings, which change regularly. Food was delicious (particularly the banana cake - hence no photo!), the staff were really friendly without being over bearing. The coffee was exactly to my tastes and the best I've had in Cardiff 👌🏻

Coffee shop is very cute, i ordered the basque cheesecake and it was delicious, the cheesecake was very cheesy and creamy, the shop inside isn’t very spacious but there is a garden at the back that is cute and cozy. The bathroom is outside, it’s available for disabled people. The shop also had a range of coffee, quite delicious, the prices are okay reasonable, the atmosphere and design of the shop overall is quite and i would recommend going to try their dessert and toasts.

Such an amazing coffee shop where the owners/baristas are so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. They let us sample different flavours and taught us a lot about coffee. The coffee was incredible and highly recommend the banana bread. Can’t wait to come back and try other flavours! (Coffee was so good I drank half before taking a picture 😂)

Guests praise the impeccable service and generous portions of slow-cooked delights. The culinary masterpieces are made with care using fresh ingredients, making every bite a moment of joy.
Such a great Place to Fine out. We ate here with a few friends and really enjoyed the place. Staff were great and knowledgeable of the food they served, giving advice and suggestions. Service time was fairly quick. Food was outstanding and we'll presented. Cocktails were nice with a 2 for £15 offer on. They did forgetvl part of one round but were quick to fix and gave as some Turkish delight for the slight inconvenience. Pricing is fairly high, but I think the experience and quality of food is worth it. My main large dish was £30 and my small hummus dish was around £7. Overall I loved the place and will visit again.
D T — Google review
Pretty restaurant - nice atmosphere - there was live music when we went. There were 4 of us and we thought the dishes were very good. The complimentary dish was amazing, had so much flavour! I thought the pastrami dish could be improved upon as it was only a plate of pastrami, cheese & rocket. I would describe it as fancy, tapas Turkish food. The seafood dishes were a long wait compared to the other dishes. The cocktails were good, quality cocktails. The servers were very polite and helpful. Overall, I would recommend 🙂.
Danielle G — Google review
Genuinely fantastic food, super fresh hummus and tzatziki, and the fried beef dumplings were a standout. Excellent service by Hazel as well. Definitely need to revisit for the brunch. We had 5 drinks and 13 small plates between the 3 of us including dessert, so did not hold back at all. Set us back just shy of 200 quid, which was honestly reasonable for the quantity that we ordered.

Really excellent restaurant, can't fault it - saying something from someone who's worked in hospitality their whole life. Service was friendly and personal without being overbearing, food was innovative but honoured tradition, as well as being delicious and very reasonably priced. We chose it as we wanted something for my birthday dinner, and for halal food for my friend and it was perfect for that. I want to try everything on the menu, I'll definitely be back :)

Went for a birthday meal and everything was amazing. The food was delicious and so flavourful. We had a great variety of meals and it all complimented each other so well. Our server was super friendly and so helpful. She was really knowledgeable about all the meals and that really helped us choose what to order. Sometimes you can over order in tapas places but this was perfect! We will 100% becoming back!

We came in early and they were doing a photo shoot for their new menu. We watched while creative genius and passion explored just the right touches. The food we ordered, fabulous, we chose 5 shared dishes, everything was SO GOOD. My cocktail: passion fruit Martini - something to dream about.
PTR — Google review
It’s definitely not your classic Turkish cuisine, which I actually love. We had two small plates and some hummus — it didn’t taste like the traditional kind, but I really enjoyed it. They’ve put together a Turkish menu with a twist, and it’s full of flavour. But I might say that triangles things in hummus are very very oily and doesn’t taste good. Staff are so kind and lovely!

The cafe also has patisserie from Andrew Minto, who won Bake Off the Professionals this year alongside Pettigrew Bakery's Mikey Coggan.

The tapas was fast and fresh, the deserts were amazing and the staff and atmosphere were great. Only thing I'm not sold on is the app service. It just feels like it's there for the sake of it and it's not the same level of interaction I'd be getting from table service.

Its food festival in the bay , Just wanted some drink and cakes It looks amazing from outside. We ordered Americano and earl grey tea. The cake looks pretty, taste ok. The coffee is nice in small cup. Disappointed about the tea , It says in a pot ,but came with a cup ? Then we asked the waiter, she said she will changed it . Yes she did with another tea pot. Not impressed with the pot at all!
Coco C — Google review
Good couple of hours in the gin garden at Gin & Bake, nice atmosphere in the evening with the music turned high and all seats taken. Great range of gin, all well garnished but not cheap, a large G&T will set you back anything from £10-£20. I always think that in gin bars a standard measure should be 50ml and not priced as a 25ml. Plenty of tapas choice which was really well cooked and fairly priced. Plenty of other spirits, fizz and cocktails for those who don't like gin. Popular place so book ahead.
Cymru J — Google review
Their mocktails were amazing and worth the price but the food was good but not upto the mark and bit pricey for the quantity they provide.
Devu S — Google review
I was taken here as a birthday gift on 10.8.21 and would just like to feedback how disappointed we both were with the whole experience. After hearing how much it cost for what we got I was appalled. £32 each for one cocktail we didn’t get to choose, 2 finger sandwiches (one plain thick ham and the other standard cream cheese) and a tiny wrap each along with some dodgy salmon on a cracker (see photo) that when we complained about, all we were told was ‘oh I’ll feed that back to the chef’ with no real apology or solution. Also during this conversation it was mentioned that they put tea cups and saucers on the table ‘in case we wanted a cup of tea’, but during our entire visit we were never even asked, and this was definitely not made clear. Though this may have been due to the fact that not one host came to check in with us until they came to clear away the dishes. Whilst the scones and deserts were lovely they didn’t warrant the extortionate charge, as they were all bite sized and clearly not freshly made. Overall there would have been more food in a children’s lunch box yet they’re charging £32 a head for it. And when we mentioned this to our server his response was ‘oh everyone says that’ so it isn’t just a one off problem. I just wanted to voice my opinion for what is an amazing idea, but has really poor execution and would warn anyone to think twice before spending such an amount on this.

Its Halal! So we discovered the Ji Chicken Shop first time in Bristol when we were visiting there. And since then been craving it as we really enjoyed it. Found out they have a shop in Cardiff as well and visited them today. The chicken was really delicious and even better than the one in Bristol. You can choose from a variety of spices to go on your chicken. Everything we ordered was freshly fried and the portions are really generous. We ordered their famous volcanic chicken, crispy chicken breast and fried tofu. Their chicken was really delicious and cheesy. I personally wouldn't go for tofu again as I didn't like it's texture but husband definitely enjoyed it. Also tried their brown sugar boba milk. All in all it was a great experience and will be returning again soon as really enjoyed my meal here.

Have to agree with the last review. The girl is horrendous, 0 service skills, one customer came in waited for 2-3 minutes, the girl completely ignored her and the customer walked out. Doubt management care to be honest. Saying that you can’t beat the fried chicken skin so will have to tolerate the rude behaviour.

Fantastic Taiwanese fried chicken, cooked fresh to order. Personal favourite is the fried chicken skin with salt & pepper and garlic seasoning. Also love the chicken wings with salt & pepper and curry seasoning. For the fried thighs I go for the numbing chili, plum and seaweed seasonings.

The good is great, but apparently meals dont come with chips anymore, and £3 doesnt buy you as many chips as it used to. Also the bubble tea order was incorrect. I suspect it was because the single member of staff doing ALL the work didnt seem to speak english. I can imagine the exchange was equally uncomfortable for her, so i dont blame her for any mistakes. Also the food was great but dont think i can give more than 3 stars

Crispy chicken lolly shop in Canton. Located on bustling Cowbridge Road East, this little shop is a refreshing change from all the chains and greasy spoons that choke innovation. These panko chicken morsels are amazing. The wings look like crispy lollies and the fries are the best I've tasted. You can choose from a range of seasonings like plum and even order a side of bubble tea. Love this place!

The best chicken I've had in Cardiff, hands down! Came a couple of days after they opened and tried a few items off the menu. It was a short wait, but worth it. Chicken and chips were hot & fresh, and the bubble tea pairs very nicely with the fried food here. Everyone from the staff was lovely and chatted to us. Wish them luck and we will be coming back very soon!

Bruton's Bakery is a well-run and friendly bakery with excellent baked goods. It is particularly popular for its malted seeded loaf and love bagging a bargain with its "late bakes." Be careful, though, because the white baguettes or crusty Rolls can be overcooked.
Whilst visiting Wales with the family, we stumbled across this bakery. A fabulous selection of cakes, bread, and pastries. We ordered extra cakes for family in London. All the deserts we ordered were delicious and all the items were really well priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Got a bag through the too good to go app and had a selection of breads and a few sweeter things like Welsh cake and some sort of fruit bun. Frozen the bread rolls but am eating the bread now . Can tell its from a proper bakery (trying to not eat processed white bread as much ) unsure what type of bread this is but has some sort of nuts or something healthy in it and it's lovely . And something like a Belgian Bun which was also lovely quality . Caught them closing , friendly polite staff .

I do love the pastries, especially their ring doghnut and their custard pastry. But I was dissapointed to have a sandwich for the 1st time and find their chicken and bacon sandwich wasnt fresh, or proper chicken or bacon. It was cubed like lardons that were chewy and fatty. Tasted like the sandwich spread you can by from shops too. Was not pleasant or tasty at all. Nice fresh bread, bit not the filling, and I paid £3.65 for it. Not worth the price at all for bread and cheaply made filler. Il stick to their sweet treats in future.

Pretty standard bakery. Decent baked goods but it would be nice if things were labelled so you have an idea what your looking at/ asking for. Also they make good sandwiches but don’t have a menu and if you ask for them to make one they can sometimes seem a bit put out. Just a few little changes could make Brutons customer experience much easier and less confusing.

Food: Best dirty chai latte I could find in Cardiff so far (good amount of spice and can taste the coffee) their pastries and focaccias are also very good, I'm no vegan but I also enjoy and appreciate the food here. However, service is often a let down. Service: No smile, don't greet customers, oblivious to customers in queue, slow to serve and even when I say thanks after they bring the drinks to the table - no response and staff walks off. Happened to other tables. This is not a one off, happens often. Would be great if they could improve on this

The bread and pastries are good, but the customer service is terrible. I bought a sourdough and asked to slice it. I got 2/3 of the bread because the rest fell from the machine. The problem is that they did not tell me anything! I just realised when I looked at the bag and found a big chunk missing. I went back to the till and asked for a solution, but they only barely acknowledged what happened. I had to return the bread and requested a refund.

Our coffees were delivered to another table- when we finally got them they were Luke warm so had to have add hot water. Toast did not appear so had to go and chase, toast arrived with butter but no knife or napkins. It seemed they had forgotten our order. It was very nice but very poor service sadly

Always beautiful cakes, lush coffee, and the staff were 5* just making it that more amazing
Rhian O — Google review
They take 20% for eating in and not informing about that in an obvious way. I just took a drink from a fridge and pointed at a jam doughnut that was displayed, payed by card, and had no idea that I will be charged 20% more, noticed it later at home. The next day I returned to the cafe, and asked why I was charged like that. They explained that it was a service fee for eating in their cafe. Well, guys, that was unpleasant

Lovely, friendly staff and super delicious food! As someone lactose intolerant I really appreciate the vegan options that most cafes don’t offer. 10/10 would recommend!

The Wellfield Social on 30 Wellfield Road, CF24 3PB is a must-visit for fish and chip enthusiasts in Roath. The menu offers unrivaled cod fingers with a light and crisp tempura batter, along with regular meal deals. Visitors praise the polite and accommodating staff, delicious food including the berry smoothie, shakshuka, and avocado cake. Families appreciate the ample space for children and availability of high chairs.
10/10 minus nothing!!! All the dishes we ordered came out tasting delicious chefs kiss 😘 👌🏿. The gentleman who was at the front was very polite and accommodating. We asked questions and he was happy to answer them for us. That Berry smoothie has been on my mind all week I’m already planning a trip back and that shakshuka wow!!. The avocado cake was so delicious who knew that vegan cakes could taste so delicious 😋 . The price charged for the food is fair and it’s worth it.

A lovely, cosy cafe round the corner from Roath Rec. Ordered the veggie breakfast with a friend. Slightly more affordable than most places too. Appreciate the nice crockey. Visited on a separate occasion for a hot choc which was really quite special. Tasted super light with hints of vanilla - not sure if something extra was done to it or figments of my imagination but it was quite memorable!

We often use Wellfield Social and the service, food and atmosphere is first class. Karl and his team are fantastic. They always make a big fuss of my dog Big Ralph Franks. Rosie who works there was so lovely and kind to Ralph, thank you.

We stumbled across this place (quite literally) while shopping for carpet nearby and have now been a couple of times. Lovely, fresh food with an Arabic/middle Eastern twist, reasonably priced and a delightful gentleman front of house (the owner I think) who is charming and super helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

First time we’ve been there and the last. Husband had full English only two tiny sausages served with beans, tiny potion of tomatoes, greasy mushrooms and overcooked friend egg but toast was okay. I had avocado that was described as ‘heaped’ but was anything but and a cold overcooked poached egg with a soggy side salad that had seen better days. Very expensive and poor quality plus cold. We won’t be going back!

Staff very attentive, lovely atmosphere. Good food at good value, and open on evenings! :)

This place is an absolute gem! We came for breakfast with children (2 and 5 yo), there was plenty of space for them, high chairs were available and the food was delicious. The avocado and poached egg on toast was fresh and the egg cooked to perfection! The selection of dishes for lunch is well beyond what you could expect from a cafe, they have definitely gone above and beyond with the menu! The coffee is delicious (cappucino), it’s easy to tell it’s freshly ground and the fruit blend smoothies are made with fresh fruits and nothing else added, so they’re the perfect sweet treat without the guilt. Highly recommend!!

Came here for the first time last week🙂 The toasties weren't like your usual toasted sandwiches. But they were nice! Nice coffee and atmosphere ☺️

Beautiful little shop! Perfect for gifts l, and the chocolate looked amazing. I didn't catch the ladies name who was working Sunday 01 October, but she was so friendly and chatty, would definitely recommend her shop!

What a fantastic find! (Wife says "Yummy!") A bit hidden away, but we'll worth seeking out. A hand-selected box is very good value for the quality of product.

(Translated by Google) Purchased as a Christmas present for my boyfriend's family. I looked it up online and chose it because the box and chocolates looked cute. I bought it without making a reservation, but there were many different boxes and they were all cute so I had a lot of trouble 🥺✨ I don't know much about Wales, but Pontcanna seems to be a famous town, so everyone was happy, and there was an explanation about the chocolate, so we all had fun eating it while watching the explanation.

Says the Baclava are homemade 🤔 maybe they are or maybe not, but they're the best in the city....and there are plenty of places selling them.
