Lama Monachile, also known as Cala Porto, is a picturesque cove in Polignano a Mare. It features clear waters and a pebble beach surrounded by dramatic cliffs. Visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the bright water colors and explore nearby sea caves such as Grotta Palazzese. The beach is an ideal spot to start a beach adventure with its cozy atmosphere and crystal-clear blue waters.
❄️ A winter sea so quiet, it felt like time had stopped. I visited this beach in winter I thought it would be a small, charming beach — but in person, it felt much deeper, quieter especially with hardly anyone around. The only sound was the gentle rhythm of waves. I stood there for a long while, just watching the sea spray hit the rocks, feeling completely at peace. Such a special place — simple, quiet, and utterly calming.
Yesran — Google review
Beautiful beach, water is absolutely stunning!! However it gets VERY BUSY in summer, and I'm sure the earlier you get there the better to find a spot. Also bring water shoes because it's a rock beach and slippery near the water.
Vânia R — Google review
Lama Monachile is one of those places that just takes your breath away the moment you see it. It feels iconic because it truly is—there’s nowhere else quite like it. Spending the day here is something special: swimming in the clear blue water, looking up at the cliffs, and just soaking in the beauty all around. The beach is very rocky, so bring good beach shoes, and if you can, a little float makes the swimming even more fun and relaxing. There are even a few small cliff jumps for the adventurous, but always with safety in mind. It’s not just a beach—it’s an experience you’ll remember.
Tanya C — Google review
We spent the day at a beautiful beach framed by rugged cliffs and crystal-clear blue water. The sea was perfect for swimming, with cool grottos and caves to explore beneath the cliffs. We even found a quiet spot on the rocks where we could read, relax, and dive in for a refreshing swim. Later, we wandered back to the beach and enjoyed a cold beer and an Aperol spritz as the sun dipped lower over the water — the perfect end to a perfect day.
Jono K — Google review
Excellent experience checking out this beach today. It is truly stunning and beautiful! As many others have said, make sure to bring your water shoes or sandals as the rocks hurt your feet.
David P — Google review
An iconic beach that commands a photo..or two..or three. Very rocky. Not crowded. Even though it was early November I had to have a swim. Water is cool but not cold. Clear. I can see fish around me. And also a surprise. An octopus just metres from the waters edge. Grabbed my phone and managed to capture it briefly. Great experience!
John D — Google review
Beautiful rocky beach with crystal-clear water and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s very rocky, so not the most comfortable for long stays, but perfect for a short visit. About 1–2 hours is enough to enjoy it.
Martin D — Google review
Amazing views of a unique to the eye beach. The truth is that it looks way better looking at it than swimming in it, because of the tourist hordes. A must SEE from all possible corners place.

In the charming coastal town of Polignano, Italy, stands the Monumento a Domenico Modugno, a lively sculpture honoring the 20th-century Italian musician and politician. The town is renowned for being the birthplace of notable figures like Domenico Modugno, also known as Mr. Volare for his famous song "Nel blu dipinto di blu - Volare."
Nice spot for his statue. His song is a real classic. I’ll never forget when I was just a kid watching one of my first horror movies (Vamp with our goddess Grace Jones) and they played Volare at the end credits. It was a nice relief after so much scarring scenes 🤣🤣🤣.
H.S. F — Google review
Monumento a Domenico Modugno is a must-see in Polignano a Mare. The statue overlooks the sea and celebrates the iconic singer of “Volare.” It’s a popular photo spot, especially with the beautiful coastal backdrop. The surrounding area has a lively vibe, and it’s a great place to take a short break while walking through the town. Domenico Modugno, born in Polignano a Mare, co-wrote and performed “Nel blu dipinto di blu” (“Volare”), which became one of Italy’s most internationally famous songs—and even won two Grammy Awards in 1958!
Merih B — Google review
I absolutely love the statue — and the artist who created it! As boats glide into the harbour, “Volare” starts playing and suddenly everyone’s singing and dancing together. The whole place comes alive. The pose is what made him famous when he performed the song for the first time in front of a large audience. He sang with immense passion, bringing a new style and energy that no one had ever seen before. The audience went wild — completely captivated by his performance. His story is truly amazing.
Jono K — Google review
Been there done that! It’s a pity that there’s no details about this symbolism statue, so I asked AI for the explanation. Here’s what it says: “The statue is a monument to Domenico Modugno, a famous Italian singer-songwriter who was born in Polignano a Mare. He is best known for his hit song "Nel blu dipinto di blu," often referred to by its chorus, "Volare." The statue, a three-meter-tall bronze sculpture by Argentine artist Hermann Mejer, was unveiled on May 31, 2009. It depicts Modugno with his arms wide open, an iconic gesture that recalls his performance of "Volare" at the 1958 Sanremo Music Festival. The statue is located on the seafront of Polignano a Mare, looking out over the town and the sea. " Btw. I would definitely recommend you to look for the song to play along for a “dolce” Italian vibes 🥰!

Nice statute in a fabulous location. Hard to get a good photo in the morning, much better in the evening light.

For a moment, I felt like I was flying over Polignano a Mare, just like in the song — light, dreamy, full of Italian magic.

The Super Mago del Gelo Mario Campanella, located at Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi 22 in Polignano a Mare, is renowned for its special coffee. This energizing beverage is made with coffee, sugar, lemon zest, cream, and amaretto. The barista Mario Campanella's name is highly esteemed in the area.
We tried the special coffee (caffè speciale) and it was very nice, very peculiar. It has a lemon zest in the bottom and then they put cream, then the coffee with amorino liqueur with foam. It was very soft to drink, we enjoyed it. It seems like it is characteristics to this gelateria, looks authentic so I definitely recommend :) We paid 5.40 for 2 coffees. They have a clean bathroom as well.

This spot is an excellent choice for indulging in desserts and ice cream treats. Although it tends to get quite crowded, the service is impressively quick, ensuring you won’t have to wait long to satisfy your sweet tooth. The prices are reasonable, offering great value for what you get. While the atmosphere may feel somewhat geared toward tourists, it still has a charming appeal that makes it worthwhile. The menu features a variety of options that, while occasionally on the greasy side, are undeniably flavorful and satisfying. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to explore more of their offerings.
Luana P — Google review
we came to polignano a mare to eat, apparently. first stop of our “polignano food tour” was this coffee shop. my friends told me i absolutely had to try their “special coffee.” i asked multiple times what it was, but they just said, “you’ll see.” so i ordered it. we got three, one each, and somehow managed to grab a booth in the middle of the very busy café. clearly this “special coffee” is their thing. i finally tried it and i have to say, i was surprised. if i remember correctly, it’s made with coffee, whipped cream, amaretto, and lemon juice. sounds weird, right? but the combo actually works. creamy, bitter, sweet, and acidic all at once. hard to describe, but definitely worth trying if you’re ever in the area.

A nice spot by the sea for breakfast, with an authentic atmosphere. Friendly service, we tried their famous coffee, and the cornetti were tasty.

The must visit place in Polignano! Best cappuccino, special coffee and pastry in my life!!! The pastry was full of custard! The croissant with Nutella was so fresh, melted in my mouth. Special coffee is espresso shot with nice cream, amaretto and lemon. So much flavor! Very authentic and nostalgic interior. There are pictures of the owner with different stars whose visited the place (Britney Spears etc).

The Museum of Contemporary Art Pino Pascali is a unique foundation dedicated to contemporary art in Puglia. Housed in the former municipal slaughterhouse, it features an outstanding permanent collection of works by the artist from Polignano, who passed away at a young age. The museum showcases a diverse range of pieces including photos, drawings, and other artworks by prominent Apulian artists as well as recipients of the prestigious Pino Pascali prize.
Loved the building and exhibition. Real nice to see the Pino Pascali collection downstairs too. The large windows and view at the backside of the building to the ocean is a painting in itself.

As an architect, I loved the building. I enjoyed the exhibition. The museum has a lot of potential. I would love to have a coffee or a drink on the terrace facing the sea. Maybe it is something that the director has to think about it. With live music will be paradise.

We had our civil wedding ceremony here on a warm September afternoon in 2020. The white gallery room is just the perfect 'blank canvas' for whatever you want your wedding day to be. For us, with the doors opened wide onto surrounding views of the Adriatic, the sea air soothed and calmed us while we said our vows. The museum staff were so kind and helpful and everything ran so smoothly. It was beautiful.

A very interesting museum devoted to a local visual artist Pino Pascali, who was an early conceptual artist born in Polignano a Mare. Except for a few works by Pascali himself, there is a collection of works by contemporary artists who were awarded the prize called after his name -- the Pino Pascali Prize. The winner of the 21 edition of the prize was Fabio Sargentini, an art collector located in Rome. The museum, although small, is very nice, and its exhibitions very professional. A great pleasure to see!

Caffè Dei Serafini is a charming cafe and restaurant that offers an incredible selection of local wines and delicious small plates, perfect for a delightful evening experience. The sommelier's choice of three wines is highly recommended for just 12, ensuring a guaranteed excellent tasting experience. Additionally, the cafe features an exclusive breakfast room with a picturesque view of the sea from a characteristic balcony. The cozy atmosphere and accommodating staff make it suitable for vegans and vegetarians as well.
Great breakfast spot, had a range of options but some were sold out which was annoying but shows the demand for this spot. Server was polite and quick to come over. Food was lovely. A great spot to start your day off with.
Theo F — Google review
Food was good, and placement is nice, but when we came at 20:00, we were told that they have some problems in kitchen, so we cannot order food now, we ordered antipasto but after 5 minutes waiter said that it’s not available too, so in the end they just give us chips and don’t even put them in plate, and after one hour the kitchen started to work again, so we ordered food, it was good
Яна Т — Google review
We were staying in Monopoli and waiting to check into a Trullo . Decided to visit Polignano a mare for breakfast and found this recommendation online. It was superb! Great view from the cafe, generous and tasty avocado toast and delicious cappuccino. Note you have to pay extra if you want a table with a view on the tiny balcony!
Irene R — Google review
Very relaxing place located in the historic center of Polignano a Mare. Possibility to choose a seat in the garden by the old square or on the terrace overlooking the sea. Prices for drinks are higher, but it is worth paying one or two euros more, because the place has a modern style, an interesting menu and the quality of the drinks is impeccable + no coperto! A nice bonus was the live music as a local troubadour performed in front of the place (there are quite a few of them in the city in different places). I ordered a local variation on the popular aperol called aperol pugliese which appears on the table with the addition of local sweet red wine. An interesting combination which tastes a bit like Spanish sangria. I came across this drink for the first time and I really liked it. It is worth mentioning that it is quite a strong alcohol. It was successfully masked by the sweetness of the winę.
Pablito — Google review
Ideal place for an evening drink. Recommend a Spritz Pugliese, local wine with prosecco, soda and rosemary. Delicious. We had apetizers typical for Puglia, looking nice, but a lot vegetable pastry. All in all average tagliere. But drinks and atmosphere of the place are perfect.

Seafood restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Pescaria in Polignano a Mare is a renowned seafood spot managed by Bartolo L'Abbate, the founder of Pescheria Lo Scoglio. This historic fish market offers raw or cooked fish for takeaway or on-site dining. The restaurant provides an informal setting to savor pasta dishes and fresh, sustainable seafood. Visitors can enjoy fish pasta, raw seafood, fish salads, and fried fish at this establishment located at 93 Via Mazzini.
The food was amazing. It was fresh and well seasoned. The service was fast and great. The mixed fried seafood was kind of salty but everyone of my friends and family enjoyed it with the beer, coke, and water. In my opinion the octopus burger was the highlight of the food i ordered. Overall I would recommend this place for people who like seafood, tourists and most of my friends.
Khue L — Google review
What a delightful taste! We ordered 2 octopus sandwiches and fried calamari 🐙 🦑 Both were delicious, and we did not have to wait in line. The waiters did not speak English very well, but they understood our order from the photos I showed. The bread was hot and crispy, and the seafood was also very tasty. If you visit to Polignano a Mare you should eat something in this restaurant.
Zumre K — Google review
Found this nice eatery that sells fish and chips. We ordered the salmon burger, fish and chips and the fried squid. The fish is fresh and nicely cooked with a good crisp. We enjoyed the way the fries were cooked. The squids are also very tasty and fragrant. The burger comes with some raw salmon, chopped tomatoes, some greens and sauce, pretty big burger. Nice and cosy place to have your meal, no fuss. Recommended
Wendy C — Google review
A visit to Pescaria in Polignano a Mare is a truly unique experience, but one that is absolutely worth it. The food is fantastic, and the prices are surprisingly great for the quality of seafood you get. However, you should be prepared for the process. It's a very busy place, and first, you have to stand in a line to pay for your meal. Only after you've paid do you get to sit down and wait for your order. It's a system, and while it's efficient, it can feel a bit chaotic. And while the food is amazing, some of the staff can be a bit rude, which is a shame, but it might just be a part of the fast-paced, high-volume environment. The food, though, is the real star. The salmon and tuna panini are absolutely delicious—the fish is so fresh and flavorful. The fish and chips are also fantastic, a perfect Apulian take on a classic. For the great price you pay, it’s an incredible value. In the end, it's a worthwhile trade-off. You might have to deal with a strange ordering process and some less-than-friendly staff, but the food is excellent and the prices are more than fair. It's a place you go to for the delicious seafood, and that's exactly what you get.
Shanit R — Google review
Fantastic place for fish & oysters lovers who want to have crackers or panini gluten-free too. The place is spacious inside and outside and provides all sorts of fresh fish for a reasonable deal. Except Prosecco and wine is not served per glas, per bottle only. For me as single traveler a bit challenging and I would love to have some sparkling wine to the lemon squeeze of the oysters. Service is also highly kind and attentive. I definitely recommend this place!
Anna L — Google review
This delicious and convenient fresh fish shop was recommended to me by a colleague and I am so lucky I was able to go! We enjoyed a raw octopus salad and a box of soft battered and fried white fish and polenta. Everything was absolutely delicious. It’s a busy location, so I recommend arriving before or after peak lunch hour. However we were able to share our table with a group of travelers and had a great conversation about the beautiful city and food. We shared food, stories, and vibes. Great place all around!
Ruby — Google review
Pescaria The octopus sandwich is definitely the highlight—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Other seafood dishes are decent but don’t quite stand out in the same way. The overall atmosphere is casual and lively, making it a nice spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. No reservation is required, but be prepared for a bit of a wait—usually around 20 minutes just to place your order. Once you order, you’re given a number and it typically takes another 30 minutes for your food to be ready. When it’s time, a staff member calls out your number in Italian, which adds a bit of local charm and is a fun opportunity to test your listening skills if you’re learning the language. A good place for a laid-back seafood experience if you’re not in a rush.

I truly enjoyed my sunset dining experience! Staff was very helpful in helping pick great food selections from the extensive menu. Leaning heavy on fish of course here at the sea. I enjoyed the langoustine with a sea salt crust, as well as artichoke with burrata cream & truffle, and the panna cotta from tonka bean vanilla as dessert!

Beautiful view, delicious food. But very long waiting time. We received the order two hours after arrival, and the bottle of wine 45 minutes after ordering it

Amazing experience! The food was wonderful. To start we had the oysters which were so fresh. The seafood soup was filled with seafood it was almost like a main size. Pasta was perfect. The service and views are wonderful. Well done and thanks.
Narelle Z — Google review
My basic expectations for restaurant that charges 50 plus Euros a person is 1) a maitre 'd that's polite and accepts that he got the order wrong rather than trying to blame you or the kitchen. 2) They actually pour the expensive bottle of wine that you ordered and 3) that the equipment in the bathroom works. Sorry the food was also so so but then you kind of know that going in that they're just charging you for the views and not the food.
RJ M — Google review
Come to this restaurant for the atmosphere and view, not for the food or service. It is very expensive for what you get.
Nadav A — Google review
Lovely location and staff! We really enjoyed the appetizers (prawns and oysters) and I loved my pasta (cheese and pepper). Interestingly they had oysters from Portugal, Ireland and France! I got two of each to try the difference - they were all nice but I do love French oysters most! My husband's pasta was a little bland (a tomato one with capers).
Olivia S — Google review
Great food and awesome view! Price of wine is incredibly good for the selection of local ones. One thing I’d recommend is to improve the service, some of the staff are not very happy at work, which made the experience a bit less pleasant. But the food and the view compensated that.

The bar offers a fantastic view of the sea, making it perfect for enjoying an evening spritz while watching the sunset.
I just finished eating and having drinks with my fiancé here, great experience! The location is amazing! A couple of steps away from the Domenico statue with a view of the ocean. The drinks were great! The aperol spritz was perfect and the drink I ordered was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with the food they offer. The mameli sandwich was delicious! The focaccia was piping hot and fresh, the carpaccio was delicious with a nice mozzarella sauce laid out on top of the sandwich. One of the best focaccias we have had on our trip. We also tried the parmigiano e mortadella focaccia flatbread which was ok when compared to the mameli but, still good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was one of our favorite dining experiences during our trip to Italy. I would 100% return if we were to return to Polignano A Mare.

This restaurant was near our B&B so it was very convenient. It didn't close down midday, and they served ice in their beverages! The food was delicious every time. I had the Queen Pise three times because it was so good. Service was excellent.

Chill vibe, laid back atmosphere, choice of creative (and delicious) drinks, friendly service :) Upon request they can make your favourite drink off-menu. Guys that work there make you feel welcome, it was a pleasure to be there. Went there three times during my stay and had a great time each night.

The best cocktail bar in Polignano! Antonio is a true professional, he knows how to craft exceptional cocktails and always finds a way to surprise you. The quality, creativity, and attention to detail are unmatched. If you truly care about what you drink, this place is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

Tons of better food places than this. Mediocre food at best. “Distilled water” they charge you for is just tap water they fill in a glass bottle. Our water had a food crumb in it coming out of the kitchen. Honestly do your self a favor and go anywhere else

Customers can also enjoy simple plates of the daily catch for lunch. The opening hours vary depending on the season, so it's recommended to check their Facebook page for updated times. Visitors highly recommend trying the oysters and shrimp due to their quality and reasonable prices.
Fresh seafood and reasonable prices! We visited twice in a row for two nights stay for the breakfast! They wisely stocked chilled proceco in refrigerator, so we couldn't stop drinking at 9 o’clock. I used to jogging earlier morning so I could see they really “sbattare il polpo” such a amazing experience! FYI, Ricci are not available in May.

Fresh raw fish, oyster, seafood. Lots of locals come here. It’s hard to find seat. The services is nice. I think it’s cheap.

One of the best meals we had! The place may look simple, plastic chairs and tables, but the seafood was so fresh and the owner was so friendly! All the different types of seafood are displayed at the counter with price on it, pick and choose the ones you like and the owner will make it a seafood platter on ice for you.

Very good fresh fish! Keep in mind that there are only tavles outside uf you wish to eat there. Anyway, it is worth it! Thanks so much! Miglior pesce crudo, con prezzi molto buoni.

The fish was so fresh, you selected what you wanted and the food would be served in a small boat. Everything was really tasty and the price range was very reasonable.

Excellent little spot to get fresh and raw seafood. They have a solid selection of ready to eat packages which you can take to go or eat there. There are a handful of outdoor seats. We had the mussels and marinated anchovies, both were delicious and very affordable. No fuss or frills, just fresh seafood!

Lungomare di Polignano a Mare is a picturesque coastal path in the charming town of Polignano a Mare, Italy. It offers stunning views of the ocean and ample space for leisurely strolls. Visitors can start their walk at Via Garofalo and enjoy the scenic route along the coastline, passing by sports fields before reaching the end. The town also boasts free parking near the sea, making it convenient for travelers.
What a charming place to stay for a long weekend. Polignano a Mare looks like it is straight out of a movie set. This part of Italy (the heel) does not suffer over-tourism so I found it peaceful. The small town is very eye catching, as it's perched precariously on steep sea cliffs. The houses have flower laden balconies and are separated by tight alleyways. You really feel like you are stepping back in time by decades. Your standard run of the mill restaurant here, would be a top class Italian restaurant at home, and the prices are great. There is a statue here dedicated to their favourite son - the famous Italian singer, composer, and actor Domenico Modugno. There is not much English spoken here, so you are better off making the effort to learn some Italian words. If you are in the Bari area, I would advise visiting for a day trip at least, it's that special here.

I was not expecting much when I put this town on my itinary but when I arrived in this small beach spot I loved it. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. The town itself was the highlight for me, another ambling cobbled maze of wonder. Very pleased I went. We visited off season so weren't looking to swim or sit on the beach . Lots of lovely cafes and a Michelin star restaurant with its own access to the beach if you book in advance.

Specializing in traditional Apulian cuisine, the restaurant serves simple yet elegant local dishes made with fresh ingredients.
This lovely restaurant came recommended from many sources, and we can absolutely understand why. The most incredibly fresh sweet seafood we have ever experienced. Top notch service. We were fortunate to go along with a lovely Italian couple that we bumped into in the street. They spoke to the staff, but I’m sure the waiters would have been efficient and friendly regardless of our fluent Italian speaking Aussie friends.
Adie B — Google review
“A bit too fancy for my taste—the staff was a bit stiff, and the food was just okay, not great. We had raw tuna, and my pasta had a sour taste that I didn’t enjoy much. That said, the restaurant itself is visually impressive, with a beautiful setup. We had to book in advance, and I would recommend it for the experience at least once. We paid €88 for our dishes.
Alex D — Google review
A great option if you’re looking to treat yourself to seafood or fish. The service was very good, and the way they cook the fish in the oven with olives was spot on. However, it felt expensive for the portion size and quality. For this price, I’ve had much better seafood and fish at similar places.
Adrian A — Google review
The service was excellent, our waiter Giuseppe was very kind and attentive. The seafood was delicious and fresh, and the appetizers were tasty but on the smaller side. Pasta was good as well, though portions overall felt a bit small. Still, a lovely dining experience with great service and quality food.

The food was tasty, nothing special though served nicely and yes, the price was not in accordance with the portion. A touristic restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly. Worth a try!
Jennifer A — Google review
Food was good but not mind blowing given the price. Has the pasta with lobster, the fish, the fava bean puree, and the carpaccio of local fish. All good but again nothing wow. The dessert was the same- we had the custard type dish that reminded me a bit of crème brûlée but not as good and a lackluster cannoli. The meal was quite expensive and this was how we celebrated our elopement so it was a bit of a bummer compared to some of the other meals we had.

Very good family owned restaurant w whimsical decorations. On the top of the door arch stands three large bottles of grappa. Be reminder some of the dishes are of huge portions, like the seafood soup enough for four people in a regular restaurant. The lobster course was also gigantic.

Everything was perfect, a thousand thanks again!!

Osteria di Chichibio is the best restaurant in Polignano. I went in different restaurants including Grotta Palaze who is famous in this city but I end up coming twice in this place. The food is just another level. Come to eat first and thank me later! It’s a must guys 🥂
Geralda K — Google review
This restaurant used to be spectacular. It has changed. Food is nothing special or remarkable, as you can find better at other locals places. Good service. Cute setting. Frutti di mare with fava puree was a highlight. We would not go again. If I were Italian, I would be ashamed to serve the unripe tomatoes in the salad.
Andrew E — Google review
Let's address the minor issue first. My parents' salad starter was definitely simple—it did the job, but it was far from Michelin-star worthy. A simple but elevated offering, like a burrata with pistachios and olives, would have been a much nicer choice and better aligned with the quality of the mains. The Special Mains The main courses, however, were truly special and highly memorable: • Sea Urchin Pasta: I had the sea urchin pasta, which was a unique choice since I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very special dish, and I'd absolutely take it again for the incredible creaminess of the sauce. • The Standout Dish: Pink Risotto: The true star of the meal was the pink risotto served with caviar and scallops. This dish was just as creamy and special as my pasta, offering an impressive blend of flavors and textures. Conclusion The price was fair for the quality of the main dishes, but the simple salad starter was a letdown. If you visit, I highly recommend focusing on the seafood dishes—they are where this restaurant truly shines and provides a spectacular experience.

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, Chichibo is the perfect choice. From the impeccable service to the delicious, well-crafted dishes, everything about this place is top-notch. You really can’t go wrong here. I started with the seafood parmigiana, a unique and delightful dish that was a first for me. It was flavorful and beautifully prepared—a fantastic way to begin the meal. For my main course, I had the tagliolini with prawns, porcini mushrooms, and zucchini. It was absolutely fabulous, with perfectly balanced flavors and a wonderful texture. This is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Be sure to make a reservation!

Caruso Gelateria, located at Piazza Garibaldi 22, has been a renowned spot for delicious gelato and other specialties since 1956. The late maestro behind the creations made this place a go-to destination for those seeking exceptional flavors. From traditional pistachio and hazelnut to unique figs and gorgonzola, their gelato selection is diverse.
The moment I walked in I could notice how cozy and fun the atmosphere was. We got to test multiple ice creams that tasted amazing. They have many different choices which is perfect, along with different tastes that aren’t ‘basic.’ I had bought the caramel and Roucher while my mother bought mango and coconut. The moment you taste their ice cream you just know that it’s made from scratch. Amazing place! Lovely people!

Absolutely loved their gelato! We chose dark raw chocolate, pistachio, and Capri in a cup — each flavor was incredibly creamy and packed with flavor. The dark chocolate was rich and intense, the pistachio was smooth and nutty, and Capri was a refreshing surprise. We also tried the affogato a modo mio with S. Marzano liqueur — such a generous portion and absolutely delicious. A unique twist on the classic affogato that really worked. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! We also tried Martinucci Laboratory, but I think Caruso is way better!

I am always coming back here when I am in surroundings, at least for this ice-cream. It is even small word to say fabulous! One of the best ice-creams of my life and I had them a loooooot. Note that there are also sugar and lactose free options (nocciola and pistachio). I am always for lemon and basil and Gorgonzola and blueberries are must try.

Definitely one of the best gelatos we’ve had in Italy. The friendly staff offered us a taste test and we both got the Capri, a lemon and milk flavour! The quality of the ice cream is top notch and so is the service. The best!

the second stop on our “polignano food tour”was this gelato shop and apparently i had to try their ice cream. my friends raved about the gorgonzola gelato. one friend even came running to the shop, yes she was that exited. i was just as excited because i love cheese and gorgonzola is one of my favorites. unfortunately we didn’t see it on display and it turns out they had stopped making it. a shame because i was really curious. we tried other flavors instead. i got ricotta with chocolate bits (like a cannoli filling) and almond. both were very good and the quality was excellent. the disappointment lingered a little but the delicious gelato quickly made up for it.

Located in Polignano a Mare, the restaurant boasts scenic views of Lama Monachile beach.
Had lunch at Donna Gina on a Thursday afternoon July 14th. 4 people seated promptly, had a few appetizers fried baby octopus, shrimp Catalans, and seafood salad all were excellent. Mains were lobster pasta, tutti mare and a pasta that was slightly charred/burnt (intentionally) one of my favorite childhood dishes. All were excellent. We had some nice regional wines. Views are amazing and it’s a beautiful restaurant and location.

I am an hotelier and restaurateur ( sono italiano): while I would give 5 stars for food, service and location I need to give 1 star to the choice to have limited menu and the minimum of 90€ for 1,2 or 3 plates; the menu doesn’t have anymore fresh and LOCAL catch which was presented at the entrance of the restaurant! The result: EMPTY on Saturday night! If any businessmen reads the numbers and the drop during the years could easily explain why! Please do something, you have an amazing spot and it could be full 360 days a year and maybe have also a star Michelin!
Luigi T — Google review
Great location right over Lama Monachile. Service was decent, the food was great, but overpriced.

Very good seafood restaurant. One the best on the seaside, yet expensive. Spectacular view of the beach downhill. Maybe service could improve to reach the level of the food.
Arnaud M — Google review
The only positive thing about this restaurant is its location and the view, food was overpriced and really bad. Pasta was so burned it was barely edible. For the seafood mix we got one shrimp, one unedible, gummy octopus and small fish for 40€. Really not recommend.
Julia B — Google review
Donna Gina's was terrible and ruined the last few days of our Italy trip. The three people who ate seafood got food poisoning and were violently ill with vomiting and the other stuff. When I told the restaurant their response was "you can't prove this was because of our food" - even after I explained that this is the only meal that the three of us ate the same food (it was a forced tasting menu and three of us got the seafood meal and three others got the vegetarian meal - these three didn't get sick) Even before we got sick, we were upset that the food was not good and service was even worse. Ironically, the manager came over to the table and said that the muscles give him gas after eating them after already ordering and having them presented at the table!!? Additionally, we informed the staff that we needed to leave at 11pm and we had not been given our main course or dessert after two hours of sitting at the table. The restaurant was not busy and half of our table sat without food for 45min., while the other half of the table was served multiple dishes. It was very strange. So basically we paid $900 euros for half of our meal. They even ordered us to wait at the front while they went back to our table to check if we signed the receipt, as if we were trying to avoid finalizing the bill. Save yourself from a terrible experience and never ever come to Donna Gina. They poison people and don't take responsibility
Melody I — Google review
The view is definitely breathtaking, but the service and quality of food was way too low for Italy. The waiters treat you as if you owe them something and I don’t mind paying a lot for excellent seafood, but it was much worse than a cheap Fish bar in Cyprus. Having traveled in Italy a lot this is the first place I didn’t like and I hope the last :-)!
Svitlana B — Google review
Expensive, average kitchen, plus they include coperty (additional charge for something secret) in your bill. And the waiter refused to serve tables on the veranda due to the fear of the hypothetical rain in sunny day — strange, considering that a beautiful view seems to be the only plus of this place

Probably the first and last time eating there. When i sat down the waiter asked me to change the table, and i was okay with that (although the other table was not reserved or anything like that). What happened was that the waiter frowned when I picked a pizza margherita without anything else. Im being brutally honest here when i say: it was the worst margherita i've ever bought in Italy, although it was not bad. The last thing they did was asking me to pay extra for the service. Which I didn't know about, and which was new to me since other restaurants that served margherita in bari didn't charge for ( although it's the case in cafes). The only thing that ruined the trip was this place. Don't recommend it, since there are other places there that serve the same thing without frowning at you and giving you seasonless pizza.

The pizzas are off the chart! The crust is so thin and crunchy. It’s perfect! We started with the zucchini flan and ham appies. We love the zucchini flan! It is so tasty and a small dish which is good for a first course. We did not like the ham. It was hard to chew and very salty. We though we were getting the thinly shaved stuff. I would not recommend it. Definitely get the pizza. We have the ham much from and artichoke one and it was delicious. I think any pizza u get here would be delicious! Of course we had for dessert the tiramisu!! It was amazing! Service was also excellent.

We were seated in an isolated corner of the dining room, right next to a baby stroller and a storage area where they keep seat cushions and children’s toys. It felt like we were placed in a forgotten corner. Halfway through our meal, a waiter placed a service table just inches away from ours to transport dishes — it felt intrusive and careless. After finishing our main course, we waited for 15 minutes with no staff in sight. Eventually, I had to get up and ask the manager to send someone over so we could order dessert. The food was good, and the setting is lovely, but the service was truly lacking. Sadly, we left with a negative impression despite the pote

The best place to eat in Poligano, cheaper than most places in the city and very quiet and nice ambience with the orange trees. The waiter was recommending a great wine that was going perfectly with both our dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Villa Degli Aranci, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The prices were incredibly reasonable, making it easy to indulge in a variety of delicious offerings. What I loved most was the emphasis on sharable dishes, which encouraged us to try an assortment of flavors. Ranging from exquisite antipasti to delightful small plates, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We found ourselves sampling different bites, making it a fun and interactive dining experience. However, the standout of the evening was undoubtedly their pizza. Each slice was a perfect blend of crispy crust, fresh toppings, and mouthwatering flavors. It truly stole the show! The outdoor area added to the ambiance, offering a lovely atmosphere to enjoy our meal al fresco. The service was impeccable throughout the night; the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. All in all, Villa Degli Aranci is a hidden gem that I can’t recommend highly enough!

The restaurant is located 3 minutes from the tourist area, it is elegant and with prompt service. We ate pizza, cuttlefish & octopus and spaghetti. 4 people, 98 euros with a beer and 2 bottles of water. Cover 3 euros per person.

A true hidden gem- best meal I’ve had in Puglia. The service by Antonella was absolutely top-tier. Will visit this town again just for this experience

Our wine and the starters were served very promptly. The octopus salad and the beetroot marinated salmon were both excellent. The main course of scampi and prawn risotto was not so great. My wife had almost no prawns in her portion and I had no scampi. When the waitress asked if everything had been good we said we gave the honest feedback. We got no apology but a few minutes later they brought my wife another portion. This one crammed full of prawns and scampi but she didn’t want to eat any more by then. We were then made to wait so long for the bill that I gave up and went to the desk to pay. It was a shame that the meal ended like that.

Fly #Calaporto is a charming restaurant located on the outskirts of Polignano a Mare, offering stunning views of Lama Monachile and the sea. The menu features delicious Mediterranean cuisine and creative cocktails, such as mussels au gratin, stuffed calamari with tomato sauce, barley salad with seafood, and sausage with creamed fava beans. Guests can also enjoy refreshing drinks like the Hemingway Special or the signature Fly cocktail.
This was the most relaxing restaurant I have been to for lunch. The sea breeze, view and shade provided by the hills, blocking the sunlight was just amazing. I came across this restaurant by accident. I was walking around exploring and found it. It was inviting so I decided to sit and have a drink and something light to eat. The food was very delicious. I know it was just pasta but listen. In Italy, it’s not just pasta. It’s a way of life and the tastes vary from place to place. Service was quick and friendly. Felt welcome. It was amazing. Highly recommend!

This place could be awesome, but it's super sunny. If you just want drinks, they'll stick you in the sun with no umbrellas. It's overpriced for what you get. Drinks are €15, and I didn't eat because it was too hot.

The bar is popular among both locals and travelers, creating a vibrant atmosphere where you can enjoy your drink surrounded by a diverse crowd. The mojito menu features a variety of tropical flavors and native herbs, allowing you to customize your beverage to suit your taste preferences.
Amazing cocktails full of flavor! The fresh ingredients really stand out. Everything we tried was excellent, and the pina colada was the best I’ve ever had!
Andreea D — Google review
Best mojito I have ever had!! This is such a great place to grab a mojito for 7-8 euros. They have a great selection of mojitos (16 to choose from!) I had the passion mojito whilst my husband had the classic mojito and we both absolutely loved it! But I would definitely recommend the passion mojito. The barmen were super friendly and it was great watching them make the mojitos from scratch. I had no idea it takes so much effort and elbow grease! They play really great music creating a fun vibe. There a few seats outside including 6 wooden high chairs with a table. There are also some seats inside but people mostly sat outside as inside could get very busy. The alley is a bit of a tight squeeze, with people frequently coming and going but it wasn’t a bother. We will definitely be back.

Best piña colada mojito I ever had! Great vibe sitting on the nearby steps, it’s the best bar experience we had In Puglia!!! They have a great verity of mojitos, with unique ingredients, just pick up one in ~8 EUR/ drink. 🍹 highly recommended!
Anati K — Google review
I was hoping you try real mojitos but what we got was more like “granizados” bunch of ice all the way to the top with very little alcohol. Not much places to sit and outside was pretty congested by people passing through at all times.
Matias E — Google review
If you're in Polignano a Mare, you should definitely come here for a great vibe. The bartenders know their business 100+ points. I tried three variations of mojitos and all were excellent. In addition to mojitos you can always snag a delicious rum, gin, or maybe something else, there is definitely alcohol for every taste. The freshest mint grows right on the bar, and there are enough mojito options for the most sophisticated tastes. Be nice to the bartenders and they will make a little miracle for you. Highly recommended!

Very cool bar in Poligano a Mare. Barman is friendly and on his game. Good section of drinks and pricing is reasonal for the Old Town. Situated on a narrow passageway. Seating available inside and outside. Very nice atmosphere both inside and outside. Proseco costs €5 a glass an it is a good portion.Well worth the visit. Highly recommended.

One of the best mojitos we had in all of Puglia! Great value for money, made with super fresh ingredients. Even though it was really busy, they still made the mojitos with care — and it was totally worth the wait. The non-alcoholic version was just as amazing. Highly recommended!

Bar Turismo, located at Via Pompeo Sarnelli 7, just a short walk from the main square in Polignano, is a beloved spot among locals despite its non-touristy location. The place has a rustic charm that sets it apart from other establishments. It's known for its high-quality freshly made ice cream and exceptional coffee options. Visitors can also enjoy light breakfast options suitable for all tastes.

Don’t be fooled by the name or the storefront! This may be THE best gelato 🍨 I have ever had and I have lived in Italy 🇮🇹 for 8 years! The owner also has a great personality 😎

I read a bunch of positive reviews about this gelato and owner, so I had to try it. The gelato was good, but the owner was a miserable guy who definitely ripped me off for being a tourist. I should have asked for the price before ordering, like I usually do, but I did not and he charged me 4 euros for a tiny cup of gelato. It was ridiculous. Every other fancy gelato shop charges around 3 euros, but somehow this hole in the wall charges 4. Avoid!
Eric — Google review
Don’t go there! Worst gelato experience in Polignano a Mare. The taste was very average, the cone was small, and it cost €4 more expensive than other gelaterias nearby. You can easily find better and cheaper gelato elsewhere.

This old and historic bar is unlike any other. It's vintage, outside the contemporary canons of always appearing modern and shiny. It's real, no need to show. But when you're in there, it feels like stepping back in time. Very few flavors of ice cream. All incredibly genuine and free of magical ingredients. No supermodel girls greeting you. But only the owner, with whom you can continue to learn that culture that has now fallen into the sand of time.

Cute little hotel with lovely staff. Incredible breakfast with alot of fruits served to the table. Nice italian croissants with toppings. The room right next to the reception was a jewel. It felt like in a hidden cave which is very nicely renovated. We loved it.

Although the view is great, the food was poor. We waited over an hour for our food. Once it came the food was cold and not very tasty. The drinks were nice, the two servers we had for the evening were lovely and when we told them about the food the server organised a 15% discount. The people on the door were rude, was on the phone when taking payment and didn't engage with us at all.

We only used the rooftop terrace and were pleasantly surprised at how good the pinsa and drinks were for what looked like a tourist trap. concerning the rooftop bar/ restaurant the view is simply amazing and probably one of the best if not the best in polignano however there were two major issues the music was exceptionally loud, even though i know it’s the concept of the place, blasting electro music this loud was counter productive . especially with the second DJ. we couldn’t help but feel sorry for the old lady in her balcony literally 2 mt away from the rooftop, and it was just too loud to enjoy the sunset. if you’re looking for a chill romantic place, it won’t be the best idea. second, we ordered a plate of raviolli for 15 euros and were shocked to find only three poor pieces of ravioli in the plate. we thought it was at first a very bad joke, but it wasn’t. it was very underwhelming. so if you go there i would recommend to only order drinks to enjoy the sunset and then eat somewhere else for dinner. the first Cool looking old DJ guy and the amazing view saved the night for us

Pizza restaurant
Il Quadrifoglio in Polignano a Mare is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Apulian cuisine. Renowned for its exceptional Margherita pizza, this restaurant prides itself on using fresh, high-quality ingredients that are skillfully prepared. Diners rave about the delightful flavors and the warm atmosphere, making it feel like home even for solo travelers.
We had an excellent meal at Il Quadrifoglio in Polignano a Mare, despite seemingly the whole town having the same idea and overwhelming the team! The pizza is frankly unbeatable - if you have any misgivings about the fact they're a mini chain with a few different sites along the coast, put them aside because this is unbelievably good food. The bruschetta we had as a starter may be the best thing we ate in Puglia, and it has some stiff competition. The service did let the experience down - with queues down the street, it was clear the team were struggling to stay on top of things. We were constantly battling to get waiters' attention as they sprinted around the restaurant, and mistakes crept in... the table next to us had a tiramisu offered on the house because the wrong pasta dish was served to them. Service aside, very much worth it for the incredible meal.

Yesterday my Cousin in i had an absolutely amazing experience at Il Quadrifoglio in Polignano a Mare! The bruschetta was out of this world – honestly the best I’ve ever had. The pasta dishes were equally delicious. On top of that, the staff was very friendly, cheerful, and charming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back! Thanks a lot!

Best pizza in Polignano a Mare! The pizza was absolutely delicious and so well priced! 6 euros for an absolutely delicious Margherita pizza. My husband had the My Puglia pizza, based on the waiter’s recommendation and he absolutely loved it! I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of the pizzas. The service was fantastic and it had a great atmosphere, situated on Via Roma. We will definitely be back!

I am honestly thinking about their Spaghetti Assasina every day since we've left Poligano. It was by far the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. And yes it is authentic to the Puglia region and vegan by default. The tomato sauce is reduced on the pan so much it becomes extremely intense with crispy caramelised bits of the pasta being the absolute best. What a symphony of flavour! Bruschetta pugliese is also delicious with local variety of rocket on top that taste nothing like I've ever tried before but was incredibly good. I've also tried the orchiette cime di rapa which is vegan if you ask to remove anchovies but we always came back to Assasina and ended up eating here every day. Word of warning - this place is extremely busy so 1. You will most likely have to queue for the table for a considerable amount of time 2. It is extremely busy so there will also be a wait for the food to arrive at your table. Worth waiting at all counts. I'm already thinking about my trip back and having their pastas again!
Patrycja J — Google review
Il Quadrifoglio delivers true Italian quality — their pizzas are absolutely authentic, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors that take you straight to Italy. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though — the queue can take up to half an hour, but it’s absolutely worth it. I had the Viola 10th Year Anniversary beer, and it was exceptional — rich, smooth, and beautifully presented. It’s not as widely available as Peroni, which makes it feel more exclusive. While Peroni is light and accessible, Viola stands out with a deeper, more refined profile. Its caramelized notes give it a warm, slightly sweet finish that lingers on the palate much longer. It’s a more premium, local choice — if you come across it, don’t miss the chance to try it.

We found the Vinarìa and were caught by the cute vintage Design of the restaurant. But the food was a real disappointment, first of all half of the menu was not available, the toilet was broken and our drinks came in plastic cups. The food we got was highly overpriced for what it was: dry crackers with different toppings that weren’t either local nor fresh. We wouldn’t go there again, but the only good thing we can say is that the ambiance and the decor is really nice and the waitress was friendly and sweet

Walking by we thought it was a lovely little place to have a drink and small bite. We ordered our drinks and mentioned that we wanted to order food later. The waiter did not speak any English and came back with the most expensive food platter on the menu for 30 euros. We said we did not order it but the staff does not speak a word in English. They reacted really angry and unfriendly and said that we had to pay for it. One of the staff even started yelling at us when we tried to explain it with google translate. Conversation with the staff was impossible so we let it go. Food itself was poor quality, cheese was dry, meat looked like it came straight out of the supermarket. Do not go here!!

Come for the relaxing atmosphere and fun colors, but not for the rest. We tried 2 wines and 1 beer. The beer was delicious but the two wines I did not like the two wine I tried (and my second glass was served in a dirty glass), which is ironic for a wine place. The food is very expensive for the quality. Still a nice spot for an aperitivo and to relax at the end of the day.

Calaponte Marina is a top-notch marina aiming to be the premier mooring spot in Puglia. Visitors can enjoy catamaran rides, stunning sunset views in Polignano a Mare, and informative tours. The location offers pleasant amenities such as showers and a cozy atmosphere for drinks. Additionally, it serves as a departure point for boat trips to explore the rocks and caves of Polignano Mare while enjoying champagne and swimming opportunities.
Took a 3 hour boat ride through the local grotto and caves from the marina which had a fantastic cafe / waiting area. So you can get yourself a refreshing Spritz’s pre-boat ride. Just perfect!

At this port, you can easily book anything from a private yacht to a small boat or even a guided sightseeing tour around Polignano a Mare. The small boat we took had eight people on board — one was the captain, and the other seven were tourists who came to enjoy the trip and explore the local attractions. We were absolutely thrilled with the boat ride! 🛥️ After the full sightseeing tour, they let you swim near the boat, which was really fun and refreshing. You can even jump into the water straight from the boat — such a cool experience! The only downside to this place is that most of the public restrooms are either closed or broken. There’s no option to take a shower after swimming in the salty sea, and unfortunately, the toilet cabins have a very strong and unpleasant smell. There is no designated place to change clothes, so you have to do it in the restroom, which is not very comfortable.

We waited here for our catamaran charter on a very hot day - nice marina but there needs to be more shady areas - we literally had no where to go with 4 children. Too hot and no shade. Also the toilets although a huge area only had 2 female cubicles open vs 6 for men.

Great place! The boats take you to the rocks of Polignano mare and the caves. The tour I bought offered me champagne and the possibility of swimming in one of the caves. Take a towel and a plastic bag to cover your electronics. Super cool!

The staff is known for their exceptional hospitality and attentiveness, ensuring that every guest feels at home. Visitors appreciate the welcoming atmosphere for families and even dogs. Guests have enjoyed delicious Italian coffee, pastries, and local delicacies at attractive prices. The friendly service adds to the overall wonderful experience at Beija Flor, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike.
While walking around Poligiano a Mare, we came across this local cafe and we were not disappointed. Very tasty Italian coffee and attractive prices. Very nice service. We tried a local delicacy, coffee with alcohol There are tables outside so you can admire the square

We stopped here twice. In the morning we got really good wine by glass and also free condiments. In the afternoon we got a bit less good wine and just 1 condiment. With coffee and Amaro we didn’t get any condiments. Otherwise really good prices, friendly service and great views.

Nice bar in a beautiful square with relaxed atmosphere...we had coffee break there my espresso was fine but my wife's cappuccino literally had 3 drops of coffee in it the rest was milk and that was disappointing. Another disappointment came as I was paying the bill which according to the price list shouldn't have been more than 3 EUR but she asked for 5 EUR - I noticed she put cuttlery of 2 EUR in there although we just had coffee...when I asked she said it was "table service" which was BS but I eventually paid as we were in a rush. Unfortunately this is typical behaviour in some places in Italy like this one...if we ever visit there again will be skipping this one.

Passed by to have an aperitivo. Took aperol and limoncello spritz and an aperitivo mix. The waitress was super nice and smiley, the food and drinks were good

I just had to share how fantastic the staff is here! They're incredibly kind and attentive, making sure you feel right at home. I asked for a drink with a hint of citrus, and they nailed it perfectly! Plus, they're so welcoming to kids, which means a lot to me. Such a wonderful experience all around!

Best place for having an evening drink, and the best stuff ever. The waiter was the most friendly person we have ever met. Thank you for everything.

We stopped here spontaneously for some lunch and my god it was worth it. Lots of comments here complaining about “Coperto” but this standard in Italy and here it’s very cheap. Highly recommend a Pucce.

Braceria - Friggitoria, located in Largo Ardito at Lido Cala Paura, is a hidden gem that offers an authentic dining experience. While parking can be tricky due to strict regulations and surveillance, the effort is well worth it for the honest and delicious food served here. This humble eatery specializes in fresh seafood, with dishes like perfectly cooked octopus, mussels, and cuttlefish that highlight the natural flavors of their ingredients without excessive seasoning.
It was amazing experience. Food was delicious and fresh. I am allergic to gluten and lactose and they prepared tasty gluten free pizza with vegan cheese. I highly recommend.
Wiktoria J — Google review
It's not about the atmosphere, it's about the food, and the food didn't disappoint! This no-frills restaurant is outside behind a building with plastic tables, chairs, and tablecloths. The staff are hard-working and hustle around to make it all happen. Great seafood choices. Prices are reasonable too. The food was so good! I just had to shoo away a few mosquitoes who were vicious. The mixed seafood fry was spot on! Perfect with a little squeeze of lemon and dash of salt.
Tammy S — Google review
Honest food, cheap prices, humble people… amazing experience. The octopus, the mussels and the Cuttlefish were perfectly cooked with almost no seasoning, as the fish tastes very good as it is fresh. The spot by itself doesn’t have any glamour, but that’s where humble places serve the best and honest food. We were really happy to have a lunch here and would definitely come back. (Yes, they accept debit and credit cards) Many thanks!

The best authentic Italian family restaurant. The food it's amazing Very good price. Everything is fresh Don't skip this traditional cucina
Alexandru C — Google review
Great and quick food, humble spot with genuine working people. Aperol spritz for 5 euro and a massive plate of fried mixed seafood that'll serve 2-3 people for 20 euros. Given how some pretentious places in town will charge you much more for much less of food and drinks, its an absolute bargain. Thank you!
Jakub Z — Google review
It is a down to earth place and good and drinks are served in plastic plates and cups, plus plastic utensils. But, do not let this deceive you. Food is fresh, delicious and reasonable in portion sizes. Seafood tasted like it just came out of the sea. Very tasty. We had grilled and fried Octopus (10€ each), mozzarella salad (5 €), grilled vegetables (5€), small french fries (3€), 2 bottles of water and two coffee. We paid 43€. Kitchen is tiny. Toilets are clean. The location is outside of the busy streets but the public terrace nearby gives magnificent views of the famous cliffs of Polignano. We got here because we were looking for parking spaces. Highly recommended for easy eating. Besides, it is in walking distance to the town center which is difficult to park.

A great spot for a quick drink before heading out for dinner. We had a really great waiter called Giuseppe, he recommended us various drinks we would never really have before and they were really really delicious. We didn't have any food so I cannot comment on this unfortunately, but the service, atmosphere, and drinks were really great. Great spot for a few quick drinks before dinner. Thank you Giuseppe!

Terrible service. We (4 girls) had a hostel 10 m away from this place. Came to have a few drinks. However while we wanted for our drinks one of our friends wanted to use the bathroom. After a while they told our friend in a nonchalant way that she was not allowed to use the bathroom until we had ordered. Come on, we live 10 m away, we can use the bathroom at home, we came to spend money. Summary, we left!

The only good thing about this place is the nice stone walkway outside of it. Chaotic slow service, inconsistent portion sizes, plates served with such time gaps that you don't even eat together, pizza only served at night dispite the name of the place... and the views is not of the water but instead a bridge and wall. Save your vacation and local euros. I am both hungry and angry that I wasted my families time here.

Ombrella Beach is a fantastic option for those visiting Lama Monachile, especially if you're accustomed to softer sandy shores. This beach may be rocky, but Ombrella Beach offers an excellent solution with their rental service for umbrellas and cushioned mats. For just €25, you can enjoy a comfortable day by the sea with your family or friends. The convenience of ordering through WhatsApp makes it even easier; they deliver right to your spot on the beach!
I am from Ireland and I am used of soft sandy beaches. Lama Monachile is such a beautiful beach but it is stoney!! My daughter and I rented an umbrella and two cushions for our day at Lama Monachile beach from Ombrella beach. The cushioned mats really helped make our experience on the beach really comfortable. The beach is stoney and would not be comfortable without a cushion. €25 for 1 umbrella and 2 mats for the day. Do bring your passport details as you need them. I would recommend
