I had a truly wonderful experience visiting this amazing place. The architecture is stunning, and I appreciated the chance to see both the building's interior and exterior. The orchestra performance that day was such a highlight! I felt so lucky to be greeted by the friendly staff members at the booking counters, as their warm smiles really added to the joy of my visit. It’s heartwarming to see such kindness in welcoming guests.

The region’s opera company, so far operating on a high international level and with inspiring programming. With the upcoming new management to be seen… beautiful Italian theatre architecture, the unusual red facade makes it stand out. High quality orchestra and chorus, excellent world-class music director (2025). Not to be missed when in the area!

Stunning building! We took the 30 min tour for €5/person, and it was well worth the cost. The tour guide gave the tour info in both Italian and English. The building suffered a horrible fire in the 1990s and was rebuilt, reopening in 2008, and it's just so beautiful. Highly recommend. Would love to see an opera here.

Even though we went to what is was supposed to be an opera for kids, the vast majority of the audience was adult and the show was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend the experience. The Labirynt in Crete by Petruzzelli theater has extremely well prepared shows with new technology incorporated gracefully into an otherwise classic story. The twist and refreshed take of the plot is also very creative. All in all 10/10.

I took a guided tour (takes 30 minutes, costs 7€ for adults and 2€ for students) and didn't regret any penny! It was the nicest experience in Bari and the staff was very nice! Recommended! Check the schedule before going there or ask in the tourist info point. The tickets are sold 30 minutes before the tour.

The architecture is truly magnificent. You really can't miss it even if you tried. The strong red colour is effulgent and the contemporary design shines ✨️ The Petruzzelli Theater is the largest theater in Bari and the fourth largest in Italy, located in the heart of the capital of Apulia.

Charming small park across the street from the waterfront. I saw one bench, but more would be wonderful. Lots of traffic noise, but such a beautiful view of the harbor!

Great bar in the old town - just on the 'border' between old and new towns. A friendly gay (or gay friendly) bar which has seating inside and out. Seems to be popular in evenings. €6 for an Aperol Spritz. They havw a sister bar outside the old town facing the sea - Ciclatera Sotto Il Mar

A perfect place to relax after a long walk around Bari. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with excellent wine and beautifully arranged platters of Italian cheeses and appetizers. Everything was fresh and full of authentic flavor. It’s a great spot to unwind after a busy day, enjoy a nice conversation with friends, or have a romantic evening. Highly recommended!

I have had the pleasure of eating at the Pescatore roughly once every two to three years for about 15 years. First as a couple, and now as a family. I have never been disappointed: the quality of the food and service is among the best you will find. It's a classic where the locals eat and guests are greeted by name and shown to their regular table. This year, Gianni was kind enough to serve us. He's a great guy: very attentive, funny, and full of good suggestions. Thank you. See you next time.

Specializing in raw seafood, every dish feels irresistibly delicious bursting with authentic flavors.

Our local guide strongly recommended this place for dinner. Reservations likely required as this place seems very popular. The restaurant has two lovely outdoor seating areas. We opted for inside due to the summer heat. The inside dining room is minimal with little decorations. It was very nice, clean, and the ambient music was volume was pleasant. Menu is seafood heavy, but there are plenty of choices. Even our very picky daughter found plenty to eat. We started with some oysters, which were very large and very tasty. We then had a risotto with various crustaceans which was delicious. Service was excellent and very friendly with recommendations and answering questions about the menu. This restaurant was certainly a highlight of our visit and we would strongly recommend.

We ended up at this restaurant on a Sunday because it was the only place with available tables. In Bari’s Old Town, the better restaurants require a reservation, so plan ahead if you want a good experience. The food was average and forgettable, but the real issue was the service. It was incredibly slow and disorganised, with staff repeatedly telling us “just one minute” while we waited far too long for everything. For the high prices they charge, you would expect much better service and staffing. If you are not Italian, the staff seemed noticeably less attentive and welcoming to non-locals, which only added to the poor experience. We have had much better meals with far better service at more affordable places in Bari. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional dining experience at Al Pescatore! The food was outstanding — the oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious, and every dish we tried was beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, with just the right noise level for conversation. What truly made the experience special was the service. Our waiter, Edoardo, was exceptionally professional, patient, and attentive. He went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and gave us excellent recommendations for both food and wine. We especially loved the Primitivo Rosé he suggested — it paired perfectly with our seafood carpaccio. Edoardo’s care and attention really elevated our evening. We strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bari — especially if you’re looking for fresh seafood, a warm welcome, and a memorable experience.

Very good! Second time eating here in Bari! Not a tourist trap. The calamari is amazing, as is the pasta. More elevated and classy. Took a star off as service is attentive and good but not overtly friendly (but this is how most Barese are to tourists, so!)

Seafood focused restaurant near old town Bari with fresh fish and friendly servers. Pros: The food is… awesome. I love fish, so anytime the server asks if I want to select the fish they’ll cook for me, I know it’s going to be great. I should have picked a smaller fish because 1 kilo is a lot for one person, especially with the potatoes, tomatoes, olives on top. Carpaccio to start was sliced thinly to perfection and Burrata/Cacio e Pepe also very good. All servers were super nice to my infant daughter even when she started to briefly cry. Cons: Certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Puglia (my whole fish was 80 euros) but fair priced for the quality of food & service.

Absolutely loved this place! Some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. The food was mind blowing good! But what stood out to us the most was the attention to detail and the wonderful service provided to us. Such a fantastic staff. I recommend this resturant if you’re in Bari and want some delicious seafood with excellent service.

Fish resturant with a very good food. We ordered for first course spaghti with olive oil plus tomato sauce and it was very good. Plus vegtable salad. For main course: sea bas fish on the gril. It was very delicate and tasty,so you could feel the fresh of them. The service was xcelent and a very nice atmosphere like causy home. It cost us 125 euro for 2 persons but depentaly it was worth it!

We have been in Italy for 24 days and we wanted something different than Italian food. This hit the spot. The drinks we’re Great and the food was awesome. Large selection of whiskeys and beer! Pierre was our waiter. He was fun, helpful and a very good waiter! I would eat here a lot if i was a local!

A brilliant Scottish pub that truly deserves recognition. Very good drinks and some tasty snacks to go with them 😅 The staff really know their stuff! They have an amazing beer selection and, most importantly, they seem to know everything about it. The atmosphere in the pub is fantastic. Even though you’re in Italy, you can really feel like you’re in Scotland. I hope we’ll visit you again someday ❤️

A nice little refuge in this recreation of a Scottish pub, in the heart of Bari. Nice selection of beers, and if your a UK resident the familiar decor and vibe means you can just set yourself down with a pint and withdraw and relax as you would at home. Surprisingly impressed and loved it (which is usually something I would avoid when abroad).

Great Pub in Bari We were looking for a place where we could eat and at the same time watch football in Bari, and this was the perfect place. Really enjoyed it.

Smoking area doesn't have a good ventilation. The glasses were not clean, had a lipstick stain. They don't have some items in the menu, like piña colada which is not a very hard cocktail to make. They charge 1 extra euro for "sitting" which is ridiculous since the place was empty. I also didn't like to vibe.

Typical bar with good vibes. Drinks are fairly priced, food not sooo much but didn't get a chance to try it. Has a large selection of bard games that can be borrowed for 1 euro each. Theres a smoking area which is nasty, but what can you do.

Lp atmosphere for aperitivo, i went there with my friends and we enjoy our time.. Unfortunately they don't have fresh juice.. So healthy people who's nonalcoholic will find a diffeculity to choose a drink, but other than that everything is very nice, the staff is very kind, and the location is in very center of Bari also food is great 😊

At least I don't know other bars which stays opened after midnight in Bari, so no doubt taverna is the best place for hangout. It's right next to university so many young people here, the inside is spacious and relaxing, beers and foods are good. They also got free WI-FI internet and everyone is welcomed to use it !

Check point for foreign travelers and english exchange groups. Funny thing: with just 1 euro you can rent all the night a game (like Jenga or Tabù for example). Very good for an historical Bari's place

Fantastic experience! The Korean-Barese fusion dishes are out of this world, and even the original Korean recipes are among the best I have tried. A true gem in Bari.

The first AUTHENTIC Korean restaurant in Bari. It's small but you have everything you need. As a Korean, they have all the basics, offer interesting and yummy twists and the cocktails are amazing. I would recommend the gambap, which are made right after you order, the tteokbokki, ramen and mandu. And the cocktails! The owner is a professional moxer and she knows her stuff. I would recommend the basil one and Seoul Mule, inspired by Moscow Mule.

Great execution of fusing Korean and Apulian dishes. The balance of flavors, the complexity of the sauces... We are so happy to have this be our first dinner in Bari. We started with the kimchi foccacia. It had a perfect crumb and chew on the foccacia, with just a hint of the kimchi. Next we had a trio of Mandu (vegetable, beef, and shrimp) with a soy sauce enhanced with mushrooms, leeks, seaweed & ???. Excellent again. My favorite was the beef. This was followed by Assassina Coreana, my favorite dish of the night. It was just a bit spicy with a perfect chew on the noodles. We had two beef dishes: spicy Korean Bombettes, and Kimchi jjim & Brasciola. The first had an amazingly complex sauce, accompanied with lightly battered enoki mushrooms and leeks, and a slice of pumpkin. The accompaniments made for a refreshing counterpoint to the rich sauce and bombettes. The brasciola was finished tableside. The meat was so tender! It had huge flavors, with a nice brightness provided by the kimchi. The personal attention given to us was above and beyond amazing. Hanneta helped us choose our menu and brought drinks to match each course based on a conversation at the beginning of the meal. We took a Korean tiramisu back to our apartment and she made sure everything needed to enjoy it was in the bag. All in all, an excellent evening!

Me and my wife really enjoyed the food here. Both of us are Koreans and we thought this restaurant would do very well even in Korea. I could see lots of thought and efforts put onto this restaurant. Gimbab and Ddeokbokki have traditional taste where bibimbab had slight touch of Italian, all of them very delicious. Recommended!

Here are the best cocktails in Puglia with the coolest bartender! First he suggested we choose a cocktail based on tarot cards, and then he made us personalized cocktails, absolutely targeting our taste. The most delicious cocktail I've ever had. You're missing out if you don't visit!

The church is free of charge. It is an important place to see for poles as here we can find a 16th-century Renaissance tomb of Bona Sforza Queen of Poland, made from marble. In the crypt you can find relics of Saint Nicholas. The basilica was built between 1087 and 1197. Do not forget to see the beautiful ceiling of the church!

Beautiful on the main floor and The Orthodox crypt feels very peaceful. Arrived right before mass as they were setting up but still got to pay respects and say a prayer with St. Nicola.

A beautiful, huge church with an amusing history. The juxtaposition of two religions is interesting - Catholic masses are held upstairs and Orthodox masses on the lower floor.

The castle is a fascinating place to explore. While much of the space seems austere and blank, the curators have done a wonderful job of using audio visual tools to augment the experience. There is tremendous history here and many fascinating things to enjoy. Well worth the €10 price.

Did not feel entertaining or interesting enough for the ticket fee. Admittedly one of the few big things to see in bari - schedule 30-45mins for this if you visit.

Entrance year was free. Don’t ask me why. Sorry guys. But even if we would have had to pay the 10 euro it would have defy been worth it. It’s such a cool castle and we’ve seen quite a few now. Love the videos depicting life long ago. Getting to see the archaeological areas was cool. Too bad you can’t go on the wall and get a good view of the city.

Overall we liked the place. We ordered fresh fish (catch of the day wild catch not farmed, grilled octopus and seafare). All was fresh and tasty. How italians say simple but good. We were kind of surprised that we had order certain amount of dishes. For three of us we had to buy two appetizers and three main dishes. Service was fast and easygoing.

I had a fantastic experience here. The owner was kind and helpful and helped me find what I needed. It was very busy and very popular but the line moved quickly. It’s a little bit pricey but once you taste it, you will know why. Quality is unmatched and this is a definite must see for anyone looking for a quick bite in Bari.

The place is overall average. It’s always full of people, which could suggest that the seafood (shrimps, squid, octopus) might be fresh — though honestly, I suspect it’s refrigerated before frying rather than truly fresh. My real disappointment, though, is with the dish itself. The plate is divided into two: one half is squid only, while the other half is a mix of shrimp and octopus together. Why are the proportions not balanced? Why do squid (the cheapest ingredient) make up half the plate, while shrimp and octopus are lumped together in the other half? To me, this feels a bit dishonest. On top of that, there were no toilet facilities, and while we were eating, the vendor’s father was cleaning the tables behind us with a chemical product — not exactly pleasant during a meal. Overall, not terrible, but not a place I’d go back to.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Staff are friendly and food is super delicious. You just need to be aware about the restaurant condition of the obligation for each person to order at least two courses to be allowed to be seated . They do, however communicate that clearly before so it is your choice to accept or not. Worth trying 😍

We love fresh Octopus, and have had excellent dishes served in Crete, Croatia, and Allonisos. Whilst researching the food scene of Puglia, we were pleased to discover that Bari was famed for Polpo. On our day walking around the old town, we navigated the narrow streets to find 'La Tana del Polpo' based on the strength of the reviews. What can we say....totally deserved. We opted for the takeaway, and were able to eat in the lovely air-conditioned eating room. The menu was beautifully displayed, and unlike a number of ubiquitous fast food outlets which shall not be named, photos do justice and reflect fairly what lands on the plate. Simple, delicious, very good value, and delightful staff behind the counter.

Great spot with a nice outdoor terrace and super friendly staff. We ordered a variety of dishes: a fresh octopus salad bowl with burrata and grilled vegetables, a panino with octopus, some orecchiette with tomato sauce, and a mix of fried bites. A recommended place to eat if you come to Bari in my opinion. It is kind of a fast food restarant, but not the typical one, that is a huge plus. For me the octopus sandwiches were the favourite food in Bari. My only negative comment that the cozz& pupozz we had in the menu, was very oily/greasy. All the other food was delicious.

Went based on positive reviews. Octopus sandwiches looks better the actual taste… not much flavor. The combo sandwich meal is decent price to portion but be prepared to drink buckets of water after eating, stratospheric level of sodium in the foods. Also didn’t care for cashier kept upselling/pushing sales on Tshirt & other merchandise.

We loved it! The food was amazing, they gave out free samples while you waited and we would absolutely come again. ONLY - we waited around 30 minutes and I couldn’t understand why, as when I got to the counter in a minute I had ordered and paid. A lot of people were before us and I do not know why we waited so long, as the process is fast. Imo you should put a second cashier and screens from which you can directly order, as maybe 20-30% of the people waiting went somewhere else after the 10th minute of waiting.

The food was amazing! I haven’t tried anything like this before, it was an unforgettable experience. Service was great, the food was ready on time despite the huge amount of people that were coming on the never ending queue!

Visited with girlfriend and had a lovely dinner :) We ordered a few dishes including lasagna appetizer and “catch of the day”. All dishes fresh and cooked/ presented beautifully. “Cappuccino” dessert was delicious. Overall, would recommend. We only tried a few dishes but the table next to us tried the dinner tasting… we were jealous looking at all the interesting dishes delivered to them. Indoor atmosphere was pretty, though we would have preferred outdoor option.

We (couple) went in July 2025 for the seafood tasting menu (8 course for 60 euros per person). We had ( as per pictures): - 3 small plates (pre starters) including a lovely octopus meatball -a cuttlefish plate -Ravioli ( 2 ravioli each)filled in burrata (the fish element was not in the filling, rather only a bit on top), -The fish of the day, in our case amberjack. - A mojito sorbet represented our pre dessert (absolutely refreshing and lovely!) -3 desserts (all at the same time) one of which was a sambuca tiramisu which did not taste at all like sambuca. I am just rather perplexed as to what the 8 courses actually were given we had 2 batches of 3 small plates (pre starters and desserts) and one could argue that the 3 desserts and sorbet were 4 out of 8 courses (which was meant to be a seafood menu). Or maybe the 3 pre starters each served as a course? Up to you to decide on that one. I, for one, would not go back for the tasting menu and at this point I would argue that there may be better places in Bari for an a la carte menu. We also had a bottle of wine and pre dinner cocktails. All of which was lovely. The staff were lovely and spoke English. Dinner took just over 90 minutes. Coperto for 4 euros per person seems a bit on the higher side of what I have otherwise seen in Bari.

I could say the best restaurant in Bari close enough at a Michelin's one. Beautiful atmosphere,the owner is very kind,coming to each table and explaining with passion the plate and the art on it. Everything fresh, desserts on point, biological wines, good service by the Guys. Coming over and over again and every time you find out a new menu.✨️

This small, charming restaurant had amazing food and wonderful warm service. Being close to a major tourist area, you would not expect to find such rich authentic cuisine. Our waiter and waitress selected a mixture of appetizers and pastas for us to start with and we absolutely loved everything. The seafood we had for our main course was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was very soothing and charming. We would highly recommend this for anyone looking for delicious high-quality food with wonderful warm service.

Lunch here was our final stop at the end of a week in Puglia so we had lots of meals to compare and Biancofiore was an absolute gem. All the dishes were so fresh and delicious. Our server Antonella gave us great advice and the kitchen delivered as promised. We had some seafood here which we had not yet tried and that made it extra special. The excellent location also adds to our overall high recommendation.

We got a last-minute table at this busy, buzzing spot. Service was super fast but not particularly friendly. I wanted octopus, but they said it was unavailable—yet it kept showing up at other tables. That said, the fish I had was fresh and well-cooked, and my friend enjoyed her risotto. Desserts were just okay. Good food, but the experience felt a bit impersonal.

A truly excellent restaurant. All of our dishes from appetizers to desert were beautifully prepared and served by a very experienced staff who treated us wonderfully. One of the things we find comforting is that unlike most restaurant staff in the U.S., Italians and other Europeans are professionally trained. Any time we're in Bari this place is a must.

Nice food but slightly strange and very rushed service. We had a reservation but the waiters couldn't seem to clear our plates quick enough, even leaning over my partner before he'd finished eating to clear my plate and separating out a section of the fish platter just to take away the stand and other dish. Almost like they didn't have enough plates! There are a lot of waiters which also made it feel a bit claustrophobic since they were pretty much bumping into each other.

From my gluten-free/Celiac perspective, this place had many options plus seemed very aware of keeping things safe for me. They even brought some packages GF bread to the table. I had a scrumptious scampi in cream risotto and grilled veggies. The wine list was extensive, but the service at the start of our visit seemed a bit pushy to decide on a bottle until they realized we were good with doing slow food. After that service was fantastic. I would definitely revisit this place if I was to go back to Bari.

Really wanted to like this place after seeing it rated highly by several Italian travel bloggers. It has a nice atmosphere, had lots of Italians and was pretty busy when we arrived. Unfortunately, my orrechiete cime di rapa was salty to the point of being inedible (another reviewer also mentions this). It tasted almost entirely of salty fishy seawater. Overall, food very average. Service also a little awkward as staff were obviously bickering with each other. On a positive note, you get a lot for the €3 per person cover charge, and the dessert options looked great.

The place was very peaceful. We sat down for dinner around 6 PM. The atmosphere was lovely — right in front of the restaurant there's a large cathedral, and while we were there, a few wedding parties came out. It was truly beautiful to witness. We had grilled octopus, Caprese salad, and a fried seafood mix. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend this spot. The menu isn’t very extensive, but if you’re in the mood for octopus, it was absolutely worth it!

The place and the little square looked quite ambient. Unfortunately, the service and the food didn‘t match the vibes. The service craft was inexperienced, rushed and came across quite unfriendly. The food was subpar, although we didn‘t expect high culinary experience, the food still felt like warmed up meals. The toilet was also quite dirty. At the end we had the most expensive dinner of our weekly trip, for the wordt quality. Overall, for a drink I can recommend. For full dinner? Not really. EDIT: Looking at other reviews here, let’s me wonder their credibility. The staff was rushed and not at all pleasant, food really not as good.

The spaghetti all'assassina is a MUST to order! It may sound simple, just spaghetti and tomato sauce, but it tasted incredible! We went when they just opened in the afternoon so there was no queue. The drinks were really good too! Perfect ratio, they were definitely not stingy on the alcohol.

Worst restaurant experience in Bari during our 7-day stay. I ordered carbonara and received pasta with scrambled eggs instead of a creamy carbonara sauce. When I reported it, the waiter agreed it shouldn’t look like that and called the manager. The manager (in a white shirt) was extremely dismissive and told me this is their recipe and there was no problem at all. There was no compensation or solution offered. When I went to pay, I told the manager it was sad to pay for something that was not carbonara, and he said I was the only customer who didn’t like it today. I told him the taste was fine, but this was nowhere near authentic carbonara, which is supposed to be creamy – not scrambled eggs. At the end of the conversation, he told me to “pay and get out of here” using extremely offensive language which google won’t allow me to post. I have never experienced such treatment in any restaurant before. It was a deeply disappointing way to end our stay in Bari. Tourist trap restaurant. To prove I’m not lying, I have attached photos of the pasta and the receipt. €56 for pasta with scrambled eggs (carbonara), another fine pasta dish, wine, and limoncello.

We were in Bari a few days ago enjoying some pizza when a staff member (Samuel) recommended Locanda dell’Elfo—and we’re so glad he did. This cozy little spot had a warm, family feel from the moment we walked in. I had the gnocchi and my wife ordered the cavatelli with seafood—both were absolutely fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the wine. It’s a small place, but that just adds to the charm. Not sure if the staff are actually family, but it certainly felt that way in the best possible sense. Highly recommend.

We tried fish&chips, fried cod and fried calamari. Nothing was worthy of the tradition of Bari seafood. Definitely not adequate for the location and the customers who are supposed to eat here. Moreover I had oily sensation in my stomach for hours after the meal.

Lovely place with very quick and efficient service. The basket of friend seafood was delicious, crispy and hot. Everything is made to order. Very nice food. We had crispy and salty sciagliozze, some sort of panini (Martina - highly recommend!) and very mild orecchiette. Service was kind, but very slow and a little helpless at times (one did not speak English and thus ignored us when we waived at him multiple times). Other guests left due to the long waiting times.

Paid €18 for two espresso martinis with no espresso. An absolute rip off. Cheap vodka, coffee liqueur and watered down liquid sugar. Tasted horrible, and the owner/manager out front had a stinking attitude when we questioned her as she instructed the poor waitress to grab a menu and show us the ingredients. Don't go, there are better places in Bari. We won't be back :) xx

The pub looks wonderful but we didn't feel welcome here at all and when we asked for a glass of tap water after drinking several glasses of wine, they looked at us like we were aliens and they just ignored it in the end. Probably it's not for tourists like us.

This is one of the best experiences in Bari, since we had many not so good experiences. Unpretentious food, a platter, but the service was friendly and prompt. The appetizers had a good quality, we would prefer more matured cheese instead of 3 types of mozzarella/ buratta. The fried vegetables accompanied very well the meat and cheese, and the selection of bread was tasty.

This is a good little spot in the old town for a pre dinner drink and snack. I stopped here after a long hot day of sightseeing and it hit the spot. Had a couple of Aperol Spritz and the burrata anchovy toast which was so yum. This is also a good spot for people watching and to take in the atmosphere of the area. Staff were very friendly as well.

During my visit to Bari, there was a Banksy exhibition and it was a very nice surprise, so I couldn't miss this opportunity and spontaneously made my stay in Bari more enjoyable with this interesting artistic accent. Teatro Margherita is on the list of my favorite places and I will definitely visit it every time I am in Bari.

Only one floor open with limited photography ??? Not much to see. No toilet paper in restroom ??? Beautiful building on the exterior. Clearly this venue could improve with a wider selection of Bari art and photographic exhibit material. Nice restaurants nearby to try octopus sandwich.

We were dreaming of coming here for a long time but unfortunately it is closed due to construction work 😔 We hope to see it another time.

Teatro Margherita is a former theatre in the city of Bari, Apulia on the east coast of Italy. Its predecessor, a wooden structure called Varietà Margherita opened on September 5, 1910.[1] From 1912–1914, a new theatre was erected by architect Francesco De Giglio. It opened in 1914. The Teatro Margherita was used as a theatre and cinema until 1979. It is used as a museum now.

Even if is a small city, is very nice to walk, to have a coffee, maybe an ice cream in the summer time. If you are there in the weekend time, it will be very crowded. Be careful to drivers. Traffic is crazy. No priority. Even if is green light for pedestrians, they don’t care.

I do not recommend this place. The food was decent, but the service was the worst I have ever encountered. I was there for four consecutive days, having breakfast as part of a package from a nearby guesthouse. Every day I ordered the same thing to make it easier for the staff, but despite that: my order was wrong every single time, I had to wait a long time, while local customers were served faster and without errors, parts of my order were forgotten or I was given something completely different. On the second-to-last day, I was served juice from a bottle instead of freshly squeezed – I let it slide. But on the last day, the situation became outright absurd: First, I received a completely different juice – it wasn’t even orange juice. After I pointed it out, they brought me orange juice, but it was from a bottle because the staff “didn’t feel like” squeezing it fresh (even though the customer before me got freshly squeezed juice without any problem). Only on the third attempt, after I expressed my dissatisfaction, did I finally get what I had originally ordered – freshly squeezed orange juice. I felt openly discriminated against as a tourist – treated like a second-class customer. I’ve never encountered such rude and excluding behavior anywhere else, and I travel a lot. Not knowing the language or using vouchers should never affect the quality of service – and this kind of treatment should not happen in any establishment. Never again.

The food was hit and miss, some dishes tasted great (but very small portions) and some were verging on unpleasant to eat. The food fusion idea didn’t work for us and we didn’t feel very well at the end of the meal. It was a shame as we love sushi.

I had a quick dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised. I appreciated the design, and the food. Service is a bit slow when the room is full, but they take good care of you if you ask questions. Desserts are very tasty, I recommend to get a few and share.

Hagakure Noh Samba takes fusion sushi to another level- the rolls we had last night, including the very distinct Machu Picchu. Thanks to the staff for a memorable dining experience!

we come once a year to bari, and spend at least one evening at this wonderful place. we like the food, the service, the view over the plaza. the idea of enjoying a bottle of wine or two, enjoying italien/barinesian food and flavours in small portions, having a nice chat with neighbours or the staff, is fantastic. the food tastes excellent. prices are reasonable.

Nice bar in the heart of Bari Centro storico. I recommend focaccia, as well as pinsa. To drink is best to try coffee flavoured light beer.

Cavanbah is right in the heart of Bari, near Bari Vecchia, perfectly located for aperitivo. We had a delicious beef carpaccio with a beer to start, and loved it so much we went back after dinner. Great selection of beers, which I loved! The vibe was great, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the owner was absolutely lovely and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting Bari again and going back there :)

I recently spent some time at Cavanbah Pub, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The food was tasty and well-prepared, and they have a nice selection of German and Belgian beers, which I really enjoyed. However, I did miss seeing more local craft beers on the menu — it would be great to have a few options from nearby breweries. The terrace area is comfortable and relaxed, a good place to sit and enjoy a drink, though it doesn’t offer perfect protection from the rain. Despite that, the atmosphere is friendly, the service is good, and it’s a nice spot to spend time with friends.

A wonderful little bar, tucked away inside the historic quarter of Bari. It's charmingly decorated with a very pleasant and friendly owner. Speaks English very well and welcoming to all. Very good prices, so expect to be sat here for hours like we did.

Hardly qualifies as a museum, short of an unorganized assortment of antiquated objects and books. Absolutely nothing towards explaining Bari's history or culture in the context of proximity within the old city. Save yourself time and admission fee--SKIP!

The last time I went there was for the screening of a film organized by the Italian-Polish Apulian Association: "The Resistance Spy". It's a place that offers many interesting cultural events—sometimes even free!

€5 euros per person at the normal rate. Not very expensive, but honestly, the Castello is a better choice. It's €10, but a hundred times more impressive. This museum feels like there is very little effort put into it.

We ran across this little museum in Bari and went in to have a look. The young man at the door was absolutely brilliant. He gave us a succinct history of the museum itself, explaining why the collection is so small and strange and in doing that he also gave us a short history of Italy that was just fascinating! Highly recommend stopping in to chat with him. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and speaks excellent English.

Fairly typical Irish bar, with Irish beer and food. Nice staff who are quite attentive. The Guinness and Kilkenny beers are not the best, but ok. We had Joy's chicken, and the fish and chips. The fish had a lot of bones but was fresh and tasty, the chicken was a large portion and also tasty

We came here to try to watch the world cup quarterfinals game. The place was empty except for 2 other people but they told us we could only sit at this side counter. They didn't have the volume of the match on (it was the pregame before the game started). We ordered 2 beers and they were the most expensive beers that we have had in Bari (more than any other bar we had been to so far even in old town). They were really unfriendly. We left and went to Stuarts which is nearby. Soooo much better. The place was packed, the volume was on, super friendly bartenders, lots of friendly happy regulars. Don't go to Joys. No Joy there.

Great vibe, big portions of alcohol in drinks, good food and superb interior. It's not the cheapest place in Bari, but definitely Worth visiting!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, the service was very nice. There aren't many seats inside, maybe no more than 8, if it gets cosy. The place offers an author twist on classic cocktails, but as it usually happens, a classic is a classic for a reason. I had a whiskey sour wannabe - Ebrezza del nonno, rewritten with bourbon only, primitivo and apricot syrup. Came too sweet for my taste, at times the lemon sherbet and the apricot were stronger tastes than the overall cocktail, so it could've benefitted from more balance. However, the place is nice, the staff are nice and it's a pleasant experience.

Nice, genuine and welcoming. We wish them great success as they continue to elevate & advance the cocktail scene in Bari and beyond. If you happen to be a tequila/mezcal lover, this is your spot. They've got a curated but high quality tequila selection, and they provided us a mezcal tasting on par with what you may find in Mexico or the USA in terms of quality and breadth of agaves. Great bar that is not to be missed when in Bari.

Really nice place, as far as I understood the only speakeasy in Bari. The lads working the bar know what they are doing and their cocktails are astonishing.

A really cozy, but extraordinary place. Good drinks for a reasonable price. The service was great, we even got free chips and olives! Perfect for couples.

If you're over 25, this is the best bar in Bari for sure. Despite the unique atmosphere and the great service, they tend to be cheaper than the other bars on via Re Manfredi as well.

Almost nothing there on a Friday morning 8-9 o'clock. Best spot, the bar there. Three plates with raw fish, few fisherman hitting octopus to concrete. A disappointment.

So I have been told it's a seafood market where ubcan eat seafood prepared fresh. I wentvtheir around lunchtime there was only 2 stalls (not literally a stall just a bench with food on it) selling this the seafood (don't know the name sorry) €5 for pne portion you can alos buy beer from the bar adjacent for €1. Apparently if I arrived earlier I'd have found greater varieties

Absolutely brilliant. Sunday morning was packed. People hanging out drinking peroni and eating oysters for 1€/p. Fresh catch of day features mussels, octopus, clamari, oysters, fish, urchins and more. Cheap and amazing breakfast!!!

Amazing fresh seafood and nice people there. You can also buy beer there. When you want to feel real Bari, i recomend. :)

My dear God, what a pleasure! Fresh seafood is much of a surprise to me. Served plain by fishermen, with just a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice, tasted awesome! Remember to take some foccacia with you and a battle of beer, and you have a great idea for a laid-back breakfast at seafront.
