Mountain cable car
Experience the breathtaking scenery of Tongyeong with a thrilling ride on the Tongyeong Cable Car. This exciting cable car journey takes you up Mireuksan Mountain, offering stunning views of the city, harbor, and surrounding landscape. As the longest tourist ropeway in Korea, spanning 1,975 meters with 47 cars, it provides a memorable experience that lasts around 9 minutes to reach the summit station.
It takes about 10 minutes to near the top of Mt. Mileuk by cablecar. When you get out of the cablecar, you can see the nice scenery of Tongyoung South Korea. Also you can walk the Skywalk which is made of glass, you can feel the beats of your heart. You can see the Rias-Coast of South Korea characterized by complex coastlines at that place.

An awesome cable car ride, takes you to a mountain where you can look out over beautiful Tongyeong. Staff speak English and Korean.
Sean Q — Google review
Fab-u-lous!!! The view when you step out of the cable car onto the observation deck is breathtaking in good weather. It’s well worth climbing the wooden steps all the way to the top of the peak. Don’t miss out on this while you are in Tongyeong!
Diane H — Google review
A really good experience. The observatory at the top is very beautiful and covers the elegant beauty of islands all over the ocean. The cable car can have some changes in terms of its structure. The glass is not properly cleaned so the view was a bit hazy but the ride itself was super comfortable. Also, there are staff members to help tourists with anything you wanna know. There's a small resting point with a photo zone too before you hike to the ultimate top of the mountain. A must visit if you are in Gyeongnam region.
Animesh V — Google review
An enjoyable ride with breath taking views. The outlooks are beautiful, but be ready to climb some stairs. You can also book one-way trips and hike back down, or hike up and ride back. Next trip I plan to do the hike and really see the beautiful landscape from within the forest.
Robert M — Google review
This was my favorite activity in Geojedo. The cable ride is great, the hike around the top on the mountain is AMAZING! The fee was 14,000, well worth the fee!
BRUCE F — Google review
The landscape is not beautiful as Vietnam but their services and the staff's attitude are very nice and hospitality (incredible). 14,000 won/ticket. Cheap and delicious experience with my love.
Pham T — Google review
The longest cable car in South Korea! It was an amazing experience, from the cable car you can see coast, islands and beautiful autumn leaves. This panoramic view will soothe your mind. With all those breath-taking views and experiences, Tongyeong cable car should be on your bucket list when visiting South Korea.

Tongyeong Jungang Market is a bustling local market situated near Dongpirang Village and the port, offering an array of fresh seafood and delectable Korean street food. Visitors can indulge in sweet honey bread filled with red bean paste and savor appetizing Korean street food while exploring the market's vibrant atmosphere. The market is known for its kind vendors and diverse options, although it can get crowded at times.
Super cool!! Must visit place. The fish is sold in the front then you go in the back, sit down and eat what you choose. Very good local experience.

I like to visit here. They’re packing sashimi with ice box to bring to home.
Connie P — Google review
Attention seafood lovers! If fresh sashimi is your passion, this place is a must-visit! You won't believe the incredible prices!! Everything is more than half off compared to what you’d pay in Seoul. If you're staying in an Airbnb or any other accommodation, it’s a smart move to grab your takeout from this market before 7 PM. Trust me, enjoying your sashimi in the comfort of your own space is a fantastic experience. Skip the nearby restaurants where the prices are double, and indulge in the freshest catch right where you are! Parking is available near the market on the street.
D L — Google review
The market has a reputation for having the best quality and best price in Korea. We bought Anchovies and dried fish. Please refer. 8 photo.
Byung L — Google review
The traditional market is located next to the fishing habor where is the central area of commerce and tourism clouded always, and attractive to watch various life, to taste fresh sea food and most of all to feel frank and good minded local people.
Sangjin C — Google review
The market is right next to the Gangguan Port where turtle ships and fishing boats are docked so that seafood here is so fresh and the price is raisonnable. There are many kinds of fresh seafood and also dried fish here. Fishes here are really big. If you are seafood lover or travelers who want to buy some gifts to give to family or to friends, this market is for you. Morever, the lovely mural painting hillside village Dongpirang is right next to the market. #koreashoppingtravel #busan #tongyeong #visitkorea #koreatravel #livewhite

What an incredible experience to share with family! I highly recommend grabbing the four-ride ticket, which includes three complimentary digital photos..perfect for capturing those unforgettable moments. With four different tracks to explore, you'll find it easy to learn how to ride, making it a blast for everyone. Trust me, the kids are going to absolutely love it!

This is a place where you become a child again! Going down the slopes is incredible and if you like speed, you will certainly have a lot of fun. I suggest you bring the whole family, as it's fun for everyone. There is free parking lot and a place to have a snack. Don't worry about the climb, as it is done by cable car! Come and enjoy!
Rafael T — Google review
This was the highlight of my trip to Tongyeong. Fun for ALL ages. You get there and pay for an amount of trips, usually 3, 4 or 5 down the hill. You grab a helmet-safety first. You head up a ski chair/lift thing to the top. You come down in a go cart type thing down these mini roads. Fun and safe for all ages. The staff speak English and Korean. Going fast down a hill was a rush of excitement.
Sean Q — Google review
This is a lot of fun! We got the ticket to go on the luge 3x/several times and I recommend it. The first time, we were getting ourselves familiar with the luge and the course so we were a but nervous and slow. The second try if when you kind of get the whole process and the third time was when we really had so much fun and did not have a "speed limit" anymore. This is such picturesque course. We got on the lift to the top of the hills where you can see the coast of Tongyeong and thats your view going down. The tracks are well maintained as well as the luges. Will be coming back next time and bring friends along!
Belle — Google review
The best fun I have in a long time. I totally recommend this place. Regardless age anyone will have fun, guaranteed. There are 4 courses and I did the most 2 interesting of them. The view was amazing and so my feelings while riding the luge. The wind was a bit harsh so if you go during winter make sure youbwear gloves.
Melline G — Google review
The luge was so much fun! Came here to burn some time on the weekend and had so much fun coming down the different tracks! I highly recommend getting the 4 or 5 pass ticket so you can try all the routes. The first time is just as fun as the last time going down the course!
Jeff S — Google review
Such a fun experience in Tongyeong. We found out that there’s only one track is operated at the ticket office but we got to enjoy 4 times ride on same track. They advise not to race but that was the fun of it 😂 you can print all your photos which are tracked by your helmet automatically. So handy system! Highly recommend to do and buy the ticket in advance as package (lightshow, cable car and luge)
Eunju L — Google review
First time on the Luge or anything like it, really fun. Bought the three ride solo deal and felt it was probably as they say best value. There's no other way to go up other than the chairlift so not sure why it makes it out as a combo piece. If you go as fast as I do then the bumps to slow you can wear your hands down. First time to learn, very intuitive, second time try the other entrance (there's two) and third enjoy yourself. Guy told me workers manage 3:40 but that's gotta be with no people, no obstacles, no employees shouting at you to slow down at the jump and after. I'd guess you can expect 6 minutes on the ride at a normal pace, plus the queue time at the top and for the skyride. The average grandma and kid go very slow so if you want to go fast then go as its getting dark was super quiet then even on a Saturday. There's a steep slope that if you take at full speed it jumps and the landing is tough on the spine.

Gangguan Port in Tongyeong is a vibrant area filled with traditional markets, restaurants, and shops. As dusk falls, the port comes alive with evening lights illuminating the surroundings. The nearby fish markets and restaurants prepare for the dinner rush, creating a lively atmosphere. One of the highlights of visiting this area is learning about the historic Turtle Ship.
This was an amazing place to get to know more about Korean history! It is pretty cheap and totally worth it if you're more of I want to know lots of interesting things about Korea. The ships are well kept and they each have pieces of history I didn't knew. It's is great also for all ages and you can totally take all the time you need to take pictures and stroll around
Karla M — Google review
Such a great experience to see and explore the turtle ships here in Gangguan Port. There are all 4 ships together, paid the entrance ticket at the counter and you can wander and explore as long as you wish in the ships. Great thing about it is that there are English translation available for foreigners to read and learn more about the history of the ships. Parking was a bit difficult as it is located near the fish market. We parked at a multilevel parking area not far from the area. A bit of a walk but that's okay as you'll be walking and exploring the Tongyeong area anyway.

Wonderful museum of the legendary turtle warship the brainchild of a famous Korean Admiral Yi Sun Sin who was a hero in those times- he defeated vast hordes of invaders using this warship. One can board the ship n view the interior as well as the decks, figurines are placed inside the ship to depict the quarters, captain’s cabin, stores, cannons etc. It all makes for a rather interesting visit. The open deck is also viewable to see the unique structure of why the ship was termed as the Turtle ship!! The surrounding area from the museum is also filled with many Traders who deal with sea produce- dried fish, oysters, abalone, seaweed etc! There are also numerous seafood restaurants in the vicinity who produce very delicious n Super fresh seafood. Prices are very reasonable for an excellent seafood meal. Although this port region is a bit off the beaten track, it is definitely worth a visit if one is within the vicinity. As is usual the locals are friendly and very accommodating, always helpful if directions or explanations are required.

Great price for fresh seafoods(Sashimi/Raw Fish). You chose one seller in the alley and buy live fish from them. They will clean and prepare the sashimi dish for you. Just bring the prepared seafood and a bag of left over fish bones into one of the restaurants of you choice. The restaurant will prepare the sauce, side dishes and prepare spicy fish stew with the bag you just brought in. Have fun!!
Matt K — Google review
It is always interesting to walk around and open Market, especially a fish one. I give it 4 stars, due to it being so crowded, which is always to be expected in Korea, and the cleanliness. They will cur up the fish you buy into sashimi which you can eat at a nearby restaurant. This is very popular to do, but of course you can have it cut and prepared to take home. The other reason it receives four stars is because of the bones that remained in the sashimi. Be careful when eating, they usually get most of them, but it is possible to miss a few. Remember to get your fish bones so you can save a few bucks on the spicy fish soup!

(Translated by Google) If you want to eat fresh raw fish cheaply, you must come here~ This is a place I always visit when I travel to Tongyeong and Geoje.. It's because of the cheap price, but.. the raw fish here doesn't smell like medicine.. In Seoul, there are sometimes raw fish that smell like antibiotics(?).. The fish here don't smell like that..^^ If you come to Tongyeong, I recommend you visit here.

(Translated by Google) This fish market offers the cheapest raw fish in Tongyeong. Check in advance, as it's significantly cheaper than the flashy neon-lit Jungang Market, located slightly to the left. (Jungang Market caters to tourists.) Upon entering, the bustling atmosphere, brimming with the scent of the sea, welcomes you. The haggling between vendors and customers, and the swaying of sashimi, create a vibrant atmosphere. While less than half the size of Jungang Market, the freshness of the fish is just as impressive. By late afternoon, many of the tubs are empty, as if they've sold out of the day's stock. Some vendors have closed, attracting many customers. The low prices also mean even large fish are sold out. At the market entrance, you'll also find a stall selling dried seafood. You can purchase raw fish and eat it in the building, paying a table fee. However, most prefer to take it home. If you're traveling in Tongyeong, a visit is a must, even if just for a plate of raw fish. (Original) 통영에서 가장 회를 저렴하게 먹을 수 있는 어시장으로 조금 더 왼편에 있는 화려한 네온 간판의 중앙시장보다 이곳이 훨씬 가격이 저렴하니 미리 체크하자. Tongyeong Canal, constructed in 1932 during the Japanese occupation, serves as a dividing line between mainland Tongyeong and Mireukdo Island. The canal offers picturesque views on both sides and is a popular spot for leisurely strolls and photography. Lined with charming cafes, it's an ideal place to explore day or night, with the added allure of beautifully illuminated Tongyeong Bridge and shops after dark.

(Translated by Google) # A place worth visiting at least once There are cafes dotted along the canal, making it a great place to take a walk day or night. At night, the lights of Tongyeong Bridge and the shops are beautifully lit. It is wide and looks like a river. This canal divides the Tongyeong Peninsula and Mireukdo Island. The scenery is better if you take a walk on the Tongyeong Peninsula side. Cruise ships also operate nearby. It is said that a long time ago, it was a shallow and narrow sea area that became land during low tide and a waterway during high tide, but it is said that during the Japanese colonial period, this waterway was expanded to allow ships on the southern sea route to operate even in peacetime. During the Japanese invasions of Korea, there is a history that the Japanese army, who had been defeated by Admiral Yi Sun-sin in the Battle of Hansando, fled here and was unable to get their ships out due to the waterways being blocked during low tide, so they were exterminated en masse while digging to widen the waterway. After the undersea tunnel and Tongyeong Canal were completed, the Japanese named it Taehap (Toyotomi Hideyoshi's official title) Cave Canal, which reveals their intention. It will be a little more interesting if you combine it with the story of the previous Tongyeong Undersea Tunnel review. The beautiful museum blends perfectly with the ocean view, and I was able to appreciate the works of artist Jeon Hyeok-rim and the works of artist Jeon Yeong-geun, who passed them down through generations. The exhibition hall wasn't well-organized. I was disappointed by the lack of publicity for the artist and his work. Nestled in Tongyeong, Nammangsan Open Air Sculpture Park is a delightful destination that combines art and nature. Instead of a strenuous hike, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along shaded stairs leading to the park. The sculptures are thoughtfully integrated into the hillside, inviting exploration and contemplation of each piece's artistic message. While the views may not be as breathtaking as anticipated, Nammangsan offers an excellent opportunity for exercise with its scenic trails connected to riverside walks.
(Translated by Google) Nammangsan Mountain in Tongyeong, not a hike, but a hill/stairs trail. It's a bit disappointing that the view isn't as good as expected, but it's a good place to go for exercise as it's a course linked to a walk along the river. For parking, it is better to park under the Gangguan Bridge and go up the connected skybridge rather than going up the mountain. It's also nice to come down and take a walk around the river. Dongpirang Mural Village is a captivating maze of painted houses and alleys adorned with colorful murals of animals, flowers, and cartoon characters. Perched atop a hill overlooking the harbor, this charming village features shops and cafes nestled along winding alleys that lead to higher vantage points. The village's name, Dongpirang, refers to its location on the eastern hill in Tongyeong.
It was good but hard to park and drive around.

We have special experienced at Dongpirang village that is filled by painting all around. It's just like animation villige to us. In commemoration of our family trip, We paid about 50 dollars to a local artist and had him draw us. Also, We have enjoyed the nice view of Tongyoung, at the top of village. I hope you also have the special experience at Tongyoung if you come to South Korea.

Wonderful little area of town, hiking to the top brings you to a small temple and a beautiful surrounding view of the city. Make sure and go into the fish market as you make your way out to see the amazing selection of locally caught fish and sea life.

This village holds the traditional and cultural heritage that Tongyeong has to offer. The walls are painted with beautiful caricatures and the village has cute little cafes with an amazing view of the city lake in the center. The center of the village has a photo spot like any other place in Korea. A must visit if you are in Tongyeong.

Tongyeong Agenda 21 is the responsible association gathered people throughout the nation in order to paint murals on the wall of Dongpirang-gil street in October 2007. This hillside village on the sea became a new place, revitalised by the art. The house design and roads are unique too. The view overlooking sea of Gangguan Port is fantastic as well.

The sunset view over Tongyeong from the mural village is excellent. The sun sets just over the hills behind the town. The mural village takes approx 20 mins to walk through and there are many cafes and some small shops along the walk. Some of the art is great, some needs reworking due to aging but generally it’s a great site to visit Edie silly for the panoramic views over the city and surrounding areas. There are toilets along the route and parking at the bottom of the village.

Yi Sun-Sin Park is a waterfront parkland featuring an observation deck, a cultural center, and a revered general's statue. The highlight of the park is the 17.3m-high bronze statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Sin, offering breathtaking views of the coastline and the sea of Hansando from a nearby trail. Visitors can explore historic artifacts such as the Cheonja Chongtong cannon and displays of Admiral Yi Sun-Sin's turtle ships.
If you’re even slightly familiar with Korean history, the name Admiral Yi Sun-sin will surely resonate. Yi Sun-sin Park in Tongyeong stands as a tribute to this legendary naval commander who defended the Chosun (조선) dynasty against Japanese invasions during the late 16th century. This location is not only historically significant..it was one of the key bases for his naval operations but also incredibly scenic. The park offers panoramic views of the southern coast and the very waters where Admiral Yi led his famed turtle ships into battle during the Imjin War. Peaceful walking paths, historical monuments, and statues throughout the park help visitors connect with the legacy of a national hero in a tranquil setting. It’s a perfect blend of natural beauty and historical reverence. Ample parking makes visiting easy, and the coastal scenery alone is worth the trip.

I came when it rained this time, so I couldn't walk the whole thing. But it's a place I really want to come back and walk to the end. The only cost is parking. It was a very rainy situation, but the atmosphere and the view are so good. It was a clean, well-organized park.
SARAH K — Google review
the park is great... steep hill going in that must be walked as cars are left behind in the parking lot... beautiful views... we walked here from the ferry terminal... not recommended as the streets are lined with shops that support the fishing and ferry fleet... take a taxi instead, or drive... small shop with drinks next to the parking lot.

Nice park, but not much to see besides the Admiral statue and a decent view of the city. Hard to get to especially if routed through the port area.
Sean Q — Google review
Of all the places I visited while in Tongyeong, this was my absolute favorite. I visited on May 3, 2018, a sunny, breezy day, the perfect weather for exploring the many paths to be found in the park. In fact, I was so enchanted by the trails and the glorious views that I ended up spending over four hours exploring them and actually returned to the entrance of the park so that I could check out some of the paths I hadn't taken earlier. The other reason I did so was to check out the museum, but despite the fact that I was there on a Thursday, when it was supposedly open, I found that not to be the case. On the one hand, since Lee Sun Shin is one of my heroes, I was a bit disappointed, however, on the other hand, the park itself was enough to keep me very satisfied. If I lived in Tongyeong, I could easily imagine visiting it at least weekly if not more frequently. The only negative thing I have to say about the park is that I would never have found it if I hadn't been driven there by a local! I had planned to visit it the previous day, by going there on foot, and I seriously believe I would have given up my quest; the approach provides no indication that the park is nearby, something I verified as I was leaving it.
Shosh W — Google review
Nice park dedicated to the legendary Yi Sun Shin. Nice memorials overlooking the seas where some of his famous battles were fought. Beautiful landscape both from the gardening and layout of the park and the views over the archipelago and various islands dotted off the coastline. Good signs with information about the history and achievements of Yi Sun Shin. This place is with a visit if you are staying in the area. It’s free entry but the car parking has a fee.

Nammangsan Sculpture Park, also known as DPIRANG, is a captivating attraction in Tongyeong, South Korea. The park showcases an array of intriguing sculptures created by renowned artists from around the world who participated in the Tongyeong International Sculpture Symposium. As you wander through the park's forested paths, you'll encounter unique and unusual pieces of art while enjoying stunning views of the city.
A truly magical place that takes you into this mystical world, you don't wanna come out of. The contrasting colours and the variety of light shows that lasts 40 minutes gives a truly memorable experience. A must visit if you are in Tongyeong.
Animesh V — Google review
A rather perplexing form of ‘entertainment’ which doesn’t really hit the mark. Perhaps children will appreciate it but adults will likely find it mawkish and lacking in substance. The music and animations don’t have any cohesive or likeable thread and it feels beyond kitch. Don’t get me wrong, light installations and cute characters have their place but this didn’t have any memorable moments. The entrance fee is really excessive too which leaves you feeling like you are rather foolish 😅
Talbert A — Google review
Dipirang is a night walking course filled with various lights. Of course, you should pay some fee for entrance. Frankly speaking, I was disappointed and couldn't recommend you to visit Dipirang. I have gone to the Lunafall in Jeju, South Korea. In comparison with Lunafall, Dipirang's lights was very simple and especially downtown's lights of Tongyoung interfered our night sightseeing. Also staffs was seemed like little bit annoyed and unkind. Additionally, in spite of paying for entrance fee, you could pay additional money for parking if you go to Dipirang before 7pm.

Sebyeonggwan Hall in Tongyeong is a historically significant building that stands out amidst the cityscape. It offers a glimpse into traditional Korean architecture with its beautiful Hanok and various historical houses. The entrance fee is around 3,000 won. Located within the naval control camp, it is known as the widest floor building from the Joseon Dynasty. Despite being a national treasure, visitors can take off their shoes and relax while enjoying the cool breeze.
Came here on a rainy day. Because of that maybe and the fact it was off-season, there was hardly anyone here. One of the handful of places that remains standing through the turbulent history Korea had to endure through. Beautiful and colourful wooden buildings with nicely landscaped gardens. Wish there were more information panels though, especially for those who might not know the history as much.

it's a small museum to encourage traditional Korean craft. When you see the different handmade stuff you will definitely appreciate its worth as it is not easy to make one and it takes a very long time which explains its expensive price.

This is the first time we have had the chance to try becoming a craft artist. When we arive, everything had been prepared properly for us. We learned how to decorate a hand mirror by the pieces of super-thin-pearl. Also, we took a look at many artworks made from trees and pearl. The museum displays a mixture of daily use crafts and contemporary lacquer art, both employing the finest lacquer extracted from lacquer trees. The displayed items provide us the chance to appreciate the elegance of traditional Korea crafts. If you are a visitor who are interested in Korean history and Korean culture or just want to see Korea at another aspect, this place is the-must-go destination you should put into your bucket list. If you want to try making some souvenirs like we did, you’ve better make a reservation in advance by contacting them. The fee for this course is acceptable as well. In order of size, they are Jungang Market, Seoho Market, and Turtle Market (North New Traditional Market). The Tongyeong 5-day market (2nd and 7th) is held at the largest central market. <Seoho Market> has many stores that open early in the morning, so people who want to have an early meal or shop for groceries often visit there. Turtle Market gradually loses its market function and is often converted into restaurants. We saw a variety of fish such as cod, catfish, and (even if rotten) tuna, as well as wild abalone, octopus, and clams. It was created by reclaiming land from West Lake Bay in the 1930s during the Japanese colonial period. During the Japanese colonial period, it was called Sinjeong Market, and it was also called Saeteo Market after the name Saeteo. Seoho Market, also known as Morning Disciple, meaning morning market, must have been a market that has been opening up exciting mornings in Tongyeong since ancient times. Boats loaded with fish gather at the small port of West Lake Bay before dawn. The sounds of the engines of fishing boats and the sounds of seagulls from Hansando, Yongchodo, Bijindo, and Yeonhwado make the dawn of the port lively. Although it was not large in scale, it was a space where you could fully experience the charm of lacquer. The video materials explaining how to make lacquer works and the artist's life were very useful. It was meaningful for me to be able to see the opportunity exhibition as well. The author's personal work was truly impressive. and!! I really felt the spirit of craftsmanship. Half of the space was an exhibition space for his students, as if he was expressing the necessity and importance of continuing this expression technique as a tradition, and their works were also cool. I recommend that you watch the entire video and see the work. (Translated by Google) I knew that Tongyeong had a tradition of lacquerware, but I think it started with learning traditional lacquerware, reinterpreted it with a modern sensibility, and went further than that to open up new horizons with artist Kim Seong-su's unique sensibility. I'm really glad I came and saw it. As someone who has only learned a little bit about the lacquering technique of ceramics, I was very surprised. I also saw the Triennale works, and if possible, I want to come back in three years. Compared to Dongpirang and Seopirang, there are fewer people visiting it, so it seems to be somewhat neglected. People are not interested in places where there is no profit. However, the scenery seen from the Bukporu at the top of Yeohangsan Mountain cannot be compared to Seopirang and Dongpirang. Mireuksan Mountain, standing at 462 meters, is renowned for its panoramic views accessible from a lookout platform reached by stairs or a cable car. Designated as one of Korea's top 100 famous mountains, it is believed to be the future descent site of Maitreya Buddha. The mountain attracts around 1.2 million visitors annually who enjoy the country's only automatic circulation gondola, offering a thrilling 1,975-meter ride.
Amazing scenery. The walk to the summit is not too long. It was a little tiring in the heat but the steps contain jokes (in Korean) to entertain you as you climb. The area has multiple viewpoints to admire Tongyeong from afar as well as the surrounding islands. They’re really beautiful. We saw a black cat at the peak and also a whole litter of kittens. Jangsado Sea Park is a picturesque island park that can be reached by ferry from Tongyeong. The ferry ride itself is enjoyable, with the company of seagulls and entertainment from fellow passengers. The island is renowned for its winter-blooming camellia flowers and has been featured in popular Korean dramas. Visitors can explore trails adorned with gardens, sculptures, and scenic viewpoints, including a lighthouse.
We took ferry from Tongyeong and the trip itself was so fun being accompanied by cute seagulls and it's so entertaining as some of the passengers dancing to the music. This island is famous for its camellia flowers that blooming in winter. Was so excited to see so many spring flowers. The fresh air scented so nice because of bushes of rosemary and others flowers. It's also filming location for famous Korean Dramas such as My Love from the Star (별에서 온 그대) and Uncontrollably Fond (함부로 애틋하게). If not because the ferry was leaving, 2 hours definitely not enough to explore this beautiful island. Will revisit for sure~!

Nice place and an ideal day trip when visiting Tongyeong. We got the boat from the mainland which took about 40 minutes to arrive at Jangsa-do and then it takes about 2 hours to walk around the island. The boat trip alone is worth it because it’s nice to sail into the archipelago. No toilets or cafe on board though. Sights on the island: - Lighthhouse - Viewpoints and some have signs with info on locations of Yi Sun Shins famous battles. - Outdoor concert area - Bonsai tree park - Greenhouse - Many viewpoints over the sea - Cafes - Bridges - small art installations Be aware that you will have to do some walking up a relatively steep hill to begin with when you arrive at the island. Wear comfy shoes! I visited in the winter and it was still fun even though less of the sights were available to see. The tickets were equivalent to about €25 per person for the boat.

Among them, the place I will introduce today is Chungmu Bridge. At night, colorful lights turn on under the bridge, and the light reflected on the water spreads out like an oil painting. It is a truly amazing sight to see in person! This photo I took this time is the view from under Chungmu Bridge. The purple and blue-green lights blend together to create a dreamy atmosphere. The murals drawn on the bridge pillars and the colorful neon properly capture the emotions of Tongyeong. It is also the best walking course! The walking path under Chungmu Bridge is neatly maintained, so it is great for walking while enjoying the night view. There are benches here and there, and the lighting is romantic, so I would like to recommend it as a date spot. TIP Location: Chungmu Bridge area, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam Recommended time to enjoy the night view: 7 PM to 10 PM Parking: Nearby public parking lots available If you want to feel the art of the night unfolding over the sea while traveling in Tongyeong, be sure to stop by.
