The 50 best cheap eats in Redditch

This was our third visit but a couple of years since the last. We booked a table in the bar which was ready for us on arrival. We ordered drinks at the table and went through the menu. The menu for us is a sensible size - enough choice without it being a book! The prices look reasonable at first glance but you need to add the prices for sides as they are required - not an added extra - for example my battered fish doesn’t come with chips so you need to order the side dish of chips together your ‘fish and chips’. We ordered the duck croquette and dressed crab as starters. Both were really tasty but the crab was very small and came with a very hard bread. For mains I had the fish with the chips side and my wife the monkfish with carrots as a side. The monkfish was over cooked but otherwise food was fine but even when you pay for the sides it feels like a small portion. They do recommend 3 sides between 2 people which is probably correct but this could be £17/18 extra. So overall food was good and enjoyed the atmosphere and decoration in the pub but felt it was slightly poor on value

We discovered a local treasure. 5 stars all round, amazing pub atmosphere, the food is just sublime (chefs kiss) and very reasonably priced. This place will be our new favourite local.

Truly superb. Update (Sep. 25) - Went for Sunday lunch this past weekend and it was really excellent. Very pleased that The Brook is continuing to raise its game. Original review: I've been to The Brook Inn a couple of times. The first visit was for Sunday lunch, which was good but not outstanding either as a Sunday lunch or generally as a meal. Our recent second visit was on a Friday evening, was therefore their standard menu, and a completely different experience. The food and service were both exceptional, and as there's always a couple of guest ales on I enjoyed one of these too. The menu changes regularly depending on what is in season, so I'm excited to see what is on offer come my next visit; which hopefully won't be too far in the future. Should you have opportunity to try the 'duck kiev' I highly recommend it!

Very cozy environment with an interesting seasonal menu. The food presentation and quality is amazing. I had fish of the day with a roasted cabbage side, followed with a small dessert with coffee, absolutely enjoyed it. The service is good and the price is reasonable. However, they don't have that much selection on drinks (no cocktail and limited gin options). It's dog-friendly with free parking offered (lots of parking places). I would come again for sure!

I have driven past the Brook so many times, today I visited and I wasn't disappointed! The welcome was warm the food was very nice and I will definitely be returning. Myself and friend had the fixed price menu you can have 2 courses for £20 or 3 for £30 . I had a main of prawn and red pepper risotto and desert of lemon and elderflower possit. It was so tasty 😋

Was not overly impressed with this restaurant. The lights were flickering throughout the dining area, which was really annoying. It was a bit grubby and was not as bright and well presented as is depicted in the photos they have put on Google. The mains are purchased on their own, sides are extra. I think £19 for a ceaser salad is a little excessive. The food was of a reasonable standard, but the venue fell well short of expectation.

Have been many times to this pub as the food is always great however on more than one occasion this has been let down by the service. Bar staff are generally pleasant but in the restaurant you have to call the staff for orders to be taken. On recent visit had to ask if we could order a drink, ask if we could order our meals, our desserts and if we could have the bill. Waiting staff appeared stressed and were not very warm.

Just okay, starters dips etc were standard, my guest really enjoyed the "Special" of Murg Masala, which I have to agree (since I tried it also) was nice. For me what let the visit down was: 1) The Rogan Josh, it was just too much onion (not reduced enough into the sauce) and I don't think i saw/ate one pepper and 2) The Nan was doughy inside and didn't seem cooked through, the surface was crispy and nice but the inside left a lot to be desired. 2 people, a couple of drinks each, starter plus a couple of poppadoms, curry each came to £60, a bit steep for the quality I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, it isn't of my lists of places to go but unfortunately, it won't be my first choice. Many thanks to the staff though as they were very patient as I caught up with an old friend.

Frequently travel to Redditch on business over many years and a BIG fan of quality Indian food, visiting many different restaurants in the UK. This place is amazing, without doubt the best! The food/flavours/spices are awesome, Chef will customize your dish perfectly, being attentive to the exact details of what you wish. The staff are great and welcoming, taking the time to ensure you enjoy a great experience. As I've told them on many occasions, if I could pick this restaurant up and drop it in Surrey........

Been and ate in here a couple of years ago and was fine. Our recent delivery unfortunately was not very good, it was about two hours until it arrived from being ordered, we had to call after it was saying it was delivered and it wasn’t. When the food came it was luke warm- nann was rock hard for the majority of it so must have been over cooked or been sat waiting for a while. Really disappointing.

Great food, authentic Indian cuisine with friendly and well informed staff. As someone who has traditional curry almost every day, the food was familiar in taste but different enough to make it worth coming out of the house for. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Awful customer service, large party of 17. Arrived at 8:15 finally ate at 10:10! Over an hour to even be acknowledged, all the food came out and different times some had finished while others were still waiting. One meal had to be sent back as it was unacceptable and starters specifically asked for as mains came out as starters. Samuel the manager had a disgusting attitude and proceeded to shout at our party. Will never be using this curry house again. First time visiting and definitely the last!

We love the Redolence, if you want proper authentic Indian food that is all made from scratch then this is your place. They are vegan friendly too. The staff are wonderfully helpful, friendly and polite. We can't recommend it enough.

One of the best places for a curry in Redditch. The serving team are always on point, ready for a joke and a laugh. Also they are very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was rank, ordered our daughter the children's over 6 hunters chicken, it came and was ridiculously tiny. Was less than half a slice of bread in size. The steak we had ordered was tough when ordered medium. Chips were cold as if they'd been left out same with the steak. The chicken that came with the steak was hard and seemed to had been left out. Just terrible really.

Visited on a very warm evening and decided to eat inside even though there was room in the outside space. Food and choice were good and offered at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt, too.

We visited yesterday lunch time to celebrate our son's GCSE results, family of 5, the food here is great value and good quality and the service is also very good, would highly recommend and will definitely return! 👍 We had the following 2 x Fish and Chips 2 x Chicken Gyros Wraps 1 x Mac N Cheese We also had 1 drink each and it all came to less than £45 👍

Went on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Lovely food. Debbie was friendly and helpful, so was the other lad serving. We had philly steak and a mixed grill. Both lovely. Traditional pub grub :-)

First visit. We came here on Friday night, a party of 9. There is a lovely atmosphere here & the staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Our food was excellent, really tasty and very competitively priced. We will definitely be back.

Great little pub,on the edge of Hunt End,with a nice lawn,ideal for a sunny day. It also has BT,so the footy is on too.They have a marquis with a tv in it.,so there's room for a few in there too. Give it a try sometime.

Great pub landlord is so welcoming and friendly feels like a home from home when we go staff are friendly. Good entertainment that you dont need tickets for on some days check facebook for dates. People are friendly its a nice little old fashioned pub love it.

Very good experience, the food was amazing steaks cooked perfectly and all food was hot and tasty, for dessert i had a biscoff sundae which was fabulous. Jen our server was fabulous and is a credit to the restaurant, she made sure everyone was happy and made by birthday amazing. Thank you very much definitely will be returning!

For the first time in forever the car park was virtually empty when we arrived to the point we thought they may be closed. 😲 Monica; the manager, showed us to our table with the usual friendly welcome and broad smile. ☺️ Skye; our server, took our Drinks order and promptly brought them to the table whilst we decided what to eat. 🍻 When we were ready, Skye took our Starters and Mains order. Our Starters were out in 15-20min and we ordered more Drinks, which, again, were on the table promptly. For Starter I had ordered the Loaded Nachos, which were deliciously crisp with smooth Guacamole, tangy Tomato Salsa and cool fresh Sour Cream. 😋 We'd all finished our Starters within half an hour and Skye cleared our plates away. It was another 15-20min when Skye, Monica and Corinne brought out our Mains and sides. I had ordered Fillet Steak; Medium to Well Done, with a Diane sauce. The Steak is served with Petit Pois, grilled half of a Tomato and a Flat Cap Mushroom with which I selected Loaded Chips with a Honey and Mustard sauce and added a side order of Onion Rings. The Steak was cooked to perfection; slightly crisp on the outside where it had been seared on the grill and sweet and juicy in the middle with a thin ribbon of pink running through the centre. The rich Earthy flavour of the Diane sauce complimented the Steak beautifully. I commented to both my family and Skye that it was possibly the best Steak I've ever eaten. 🥰 It took approximately an hour to eat our Main course. Skye cleared our plates away and took our Dessert order, which arrived in 15-20min. I ordered the New York Cheesecake which was delicious; rich and creamy on a delightfully crisp biscuit base and served with slices of Banana, Cream and Iced Cream, and drizzled with Toffee sauce. 😋 The Bill came to £≈290.00 for a table of Nine. That equates to a top quality three course meal with drinks for approximately £30 a head; excellent value. I threw in a £20 tip for Skye for her attentiveness and professionalism and £20 for the delicious food the kitchen staff produced (I wanted to give the kitchen £40 but ran out of cash!). 👍🏻 The team at Beefeater, Redditch North, are excellent and I highly recommend you have a meal there yourself. 😉

had to stay in premier inn for 6 weeks for a course, booked meal deal on beefeater, never seen such a busy beefeater, food depends on the chef, different day different taste. waitress Charlie was very quick with the service, very energetic and lively all the time,

Went for a meal here recently and had such a lovely experience, thanks to our amazing waitress, Skye. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and looked after. She checked on us regularly, was friendly and professional throughout, and made sure everything was perfect. Skye’s attention to detail and genuinely warm service made the evening extra special.

I visited Beefeater with smiles, high expectations, and excitement. By the time I left, my smiles had dried up, and I was left with disappointed feelings. Firstly, we did not reserve a table but got lucky to have a spare table that contains all of us. We ordered our Starters and Main course at the till. We were told that the food will tak 22mins to be ready but ended up waiting for 47 minutes for the food. When we got the foods, it was like we ordered cold meals. The chips, pizza, pork rib rack, steak, Onnion rings, and spicy wings were all cold. The kids couldn't wait any longer, so they were eating like that. I complained to one of the staff, the staff did not apologise but offered to take the food back for new hot ones and he said it could take a while. I ended up waiting for another half hour to have the food. It is the worst experience I have had so far, and I'm not coming back 100%

Lovely meal at the Beefeater in Redditch last night. Service was 5 star, we were served by a lady called Karen, nothing was too much trouble for her. A credit to the restaurant! Would highly recommend a meal there!

Go to ‘halfway between us’ for lunch with good friend. Jenni always looks after us superbly- they should bottle her energy! Great choice of dishes that never disappoint. Lovely decor. Amazing nursery down the road if you like plants. Recommend!

The Boot at Mappleborough Green, fantastic. From the service to the food, everything was perfect. Presentation of the dishes is impressive and really does grab your attention as it lands in front of you! Haven't visited this venue for two years, they only seem to get better and better. Situated on the corner of a rather busy main road, you wouldn't even know! It's dead quiet inside and makes for a excellent uninterrupted experience. Thanks to the team at the boot, I look forward to visiting again.

Better than some Michelin star restaurants I've dined at whilst not burning a hole in your pockets. Brilliant presentation and food quality with the Naga being a star piece. If you're in the area and looking for a curry. It doesn't get much better than this.

Without a doubt this is the best Indian restaurant i have ever used. We were greeted by the most friendly and polite people at the and that was the case all night. Food was amazing best I've had. The place is really clean and tidy and modern inside. Im definitely going back here now I've discovered it.

We have visited Riley’s in a dark rainy evening. The ambience and the lighting were so attractive. Had to wait for sometimes in the lounge as we haven’t booked a seat before. But, the staff were so nice and friendly. They have arranged a seat within a short while. We have ordered Sheek Kebab, Garlic Naan, Chicken Biriyani with a spicy chicken curry. They were so delicious which brought back the taste of our amazing Indian foods. Sheek kebab was perfectly made and presented with the herbs. And, the biriyani as well. We have even enjoyed the scoop of vanilla ice cream as well. I loved the way the chef and the staff came to us and asked, “are you enjoying the food?” Riley’s gave us more than our expectations. Recommended highly if you’re looking for a Indian restaurant around Redditch. I’m not sure about the parking behind the building and the wheel chair access. But, it’s easily accessible by walk from Stephen church or from Lidl or Dixy chicken. Thanks again for the wonderful experience..!!

Ordered a takeaway from Rilys and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We usually avoid Indian takeaways, as the dishes are often overly modified and lack authentic flavour. However, the food from Rilys defied expectations — it was authentic and very tasty. The portion sizes were generous, and I would definitely give them five stars for that.

Having sat and looked at local options and fancying my favorite delicacy I opted for Rilys. The place is lovely and bright, fresh and welcoming with ample seating upstairs and downstairs. The menu is clear with a nice variety of options however, in my opinion the prices are on the high end of the scale even for the smaller items. 1 poppadom is £1.50, £1 for the dips, £3.50 for a glass of Pepsi, £4 for a plain boiled rice and £4.50 for a small garlic nan. The curry I got was a house special which was recommended by the very polite and professional "sithe", he asked what u liked and I went with his complete suggestion of meal and nan convincing me that the garlic nan and curry compliment each other, he wasn't wrong. My curry was the chicken tenga pathia, it was absolutely fantastic, great spice with a sweet side. A nice thich sauce with tearing chicken, the garlic nan was cooked lovely and really went well with each mouthful of curry. I do believe you get what you pay for and although I feel the prices of the condiments are too high, the curry was one of the best I have had in a long time, a solid 9/10. Once finished I was greeted with dessert and coffee options which I declined, I then cleaned my hands and face with the complimentary warm lemon cloth, paid my dews and bid good night. If you have not tried this establishment, don't worry about trying any others, just start off with the best.

I had a fantastic experience at Riley’s! The service was amazing from start to finish. A special mention to Amin, who was fantastic – his knowledge of the menu was impressive and he gave great recommendations. He was attentive, friendly, and delivered excellent customer service throughout. Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

One of the best Indians I have ever eaten. And I have tried a few. The food is amazing, the people are very nice and welcoming and the room is also very nice. The price is the average price. Fully recommend!!

I did not try the food only had two beers with my fiance, but had to cover it as there were a pair with a clearly poor groomed husky and I love doggies also not the pub's issue but it was disgusting as the fur was flying in the air across the benches... The dog was agonized clearly. It did not feel well as the weather was very warm and It could not settle down. Not my resort to judge anyithin but with this much outside tables somebody should stay there and organizing things or patrol them.

FANTASTIC, just had a brekkie , met the owner and the fab red head bar staff.. great warm welcome , my dog woody was welcomed too!! Breakfast on point , easily the best about, and less than £10!!! Great little local pub that does a mean beef/pork or turkey bap, with roast potatoes for £5 6 days a week. As for their Sunday carvery I'd suggest starving yourself for 24 hours prior as the amount of food you get is amazing. Edit:- Disappointed with the change to the bar for more tables for food. Used to be a nice area to sit and relax with a pint. Looks like in winter we'll need to find somewhere else to drink.

Just had an amazing carvery, nice choice not only meats,but vegetables(which on most carvery’s is a let down) this is coming from two customers who are full time chefs! Very friendly staff, love the Halloween decorations and table settings.thank you to all. DA.

My parents specifically asked me to leave a review for here as they recently enjoyed absolutely exceptional service. Last Saturday the 27th September they took a friend to have a carvery. When the staff realised that their friend was blind and my parents are both pensioners they went above and beyond to make sure their visit was a good one. The staff made sure they were seated somewhere which was most accessible, they prepared their visually challenged friends food specifically so it would be easier for him to eat, they helped bring the carvery food back to the table, they went and got their drinks from the bar and were generally wonderfully considerate and helpful, and all enjoyed the excellent carvery food too.

Great portion of beef However mash tasted like a baked potato had a glue like texture. Savoy cabbage and colcannon mash had a off taste. It tasted that bad I had to scrape it off my plate A little more attention to detail and this place could be a big hit

Bar is great! Have been coming to the bramley for 30+ years and still enjoy the family atmosphere. Cameron is especially attentive, great with customer service and always makes us laugh. We often sit outside and he will turn the heaters on and remembers our orders and names! Fab guy and great pub! Definitely recommend this place

Our first visit, but will return if we're in the area. Surprisingly busy for a late Wednesday lunchtime: it was around 2pm when we arrived. Good menu, friendly and helpful staff when ordering, great hot chocolate for £2.99 (with cream included!) and the food was delicious and portions were large. We ate at lunchtime so probably won't have much more today! I had the Hunters Chicken and himself had the Beef Short Rib. Both excellent and tasty. The only point I'd make is that you need to add dried rice to the salt cellars - after the recent wet weather they were blocked - but that's a very minor point.

I was taken there yesterday by a dear friend and his wife who treated me to lunch. We all ordered sea bass and chips, but when it came it looked more like a stickleback in batter it was so small and very few chips. I did not wish to make a scene as my friend paid but when he asked the waitress about the portions he was met with silence. Now I have eaten there many times in the past and the foods been very good but this was pityful and how anyone could've thought it adequate to serve is beyond me. Maybe a bad day.

We have recently been to the Bramley Cottage, and I must say a huge thank you to Cameron. Thanks to Cameron, we downloaded the Ember Inn app and have been enjoying the benefits since! The pub does great food, has fabulous staff and the weekend entertainment is excellent. Its nice to see Thatcher's Cider back on draught too.

Possibly the worst food I've had in Redditch, we had a selection of Indian starters, the Onion Bhaji were best described as rotten mush, they went straight back the poppadum was swimming in dark brown fryer oil, if you cant keep your fryers clean, don't leave the evidence all over the food. the Chicken tikka was hard, we really should have returned the lot and gone elsewhere! I was only £15 but really have no interest in returning, awful!

Some more up to date feedback... Just been to the Bramley cottage for my mother in law's birthday. The food today was amazing.. beautiful light batter on the quality pieces of haddock... The mixed grill was perfectly cooked. My chicken and Portobello mushroom pie was sooo tasty, rich sauce and crispy pastry 😋😋 Aidan was fantastic throughout, a great choice for front of house hospitality.. With a Cheerful friendly demeanor and a great approach for service to his customers, Aidan enhanced the whole meal experience for us... Thank you My final shout out goes to Kam... He brought our the food and drinks cleared the tables and made sure all the tables were kept clear and cleaned.. another great ambassador working hard to ensure the reputation of the Ember inn's brand. Well done guys.... Very pleased 😎 --------previous feedback ---------- We have just been to the Bramley Cottage for Sunday dinner. We spotted it on the way to dalish bakes to sort out our wedding cake and called in on the way back. The servers Carly and Ella were very welcoming and gave a fantastic service Everywhere was very clean and well presented. The roaring open fire made the whole dining area feel very cosy. Now to the food... Exceptional !! My dinner was cooked to perfection, the meats were tender, flavoursome and parsnips were some of the best I've tasted.... It came out of the kitchen in a very short time considering it was a Sunday. The cutlery (photo) was spotless and bright... The little condiments platter was a really good touch. These little extra touches show the level of detail the staff go to in order to give the customers an all round pleasing experience. This venue is 22 miles from my home but after this superb eating experience we will be returning here for my soon to be mother in laws birthday in April. (Well worth the drive out) This Ember inn's is a real credit to the management and staff that have clearly worked so hard to make a really pleasurable place to eat. I would highly recommend.

Managed to get in on Sunday 12th for lunch, had the Sunday roast which was absolutely delicious, lovely food with good portions, love the fact that they do half bottles of wine as just right to accompany dinner. Was greeted and looked after by John who was polite and friendly and professional.. Definitely recommend a visit.

We attended on Bank holiday as a table of 7. The service was fantastic, the food is always first class. They had a fab singer on creating a fab atmosphere. The place is always spotless and they have little touches in the women’s toilet. Ryan is excellent front of house and always so happy.

Great pub for eating in. They have a wide-ranging menu and the food is good (despite the breadth of the menu) and decent value but not cheap. The pork belly roast on a recent Sunday was a bit dry, and the red cabbage was a bit over-spiced for my taste, but overall it was still good. Decent beer as well, usually HPA on tap. Service is friendly and efficient, with some long serving front of house staff at the core of things (ethic is great to see). There is a dog friendly area around the bar with plenty of tables (though some are close together, so if busy and a big dog you may find you're in the way at times). Good outside space as well, car park is convenient but can fill up; one disabled space (great!) and a couple of spaces with cat chargers, which is also really helpful.

Relatively easy to find, car park in the front and back of the venue. The place is decorated well and facilities are clean and tidy. Ambience is good and dog friendly. Food was average for me unfortunately, I had the glenfiddit ham and it was overcooked, my other parties food was good I was told, they had beef ribs, salmon and the Shawarma. The lady brought the foods to us was pleasant but the lady who took our order is not, could do with a smile and upsale a bit, we asked for recommendations on portion size, did not get the response I was looking for, merely a 'shrug of shoulder'. The main course portion was massive in general, would be good to see the porton size a bit smaller and charge maybe a few pounds less as the price is a bit on the expensive side.

This pub is my new favourite place to eat. It is bright, clean and looks brand new. The staff are polite, friendly and plenty in number. It took me 15 minutes to chose from the menu. There could be more options for vegans, but there is plenty of vegetarian options. The food is amazing. Full of flavour, well presented and made with love. This pub sets the benchmark for good food, served right at a reasonable price.

It was a last minute decision to dine out and a quick call to reserve seats for within half an hour was successful. There was enough parking space, and the environment was quiet and neat. The atmosphere was good. There was provision for children and toddlers and also for Wheelchair users. The staff were friendly, polite, cautious, and caring. There were couple of trainee staffs of which they all did brilliantly in ensuring timely cleaning and quick awareness of what is going on around. A bit of wait for starter to arrived but it was well worth the wait as cleaned up the plates. We had 2 chicken Tenders with Memphis BBO, Cheesy Nachos with Tomato Salsa and Carrot + Cucumber sticks + Sour Cream, Sticky BBQ Pork Ends and Holly Bush Chicken Wings. For Main course, we had Fish Bites + Chips, Peas + Ketchup, Tomato & Cheese Pizza, Slow Roasted Pork Belly and French Fries & Salads as a sides. The dessert was a top notch as we munched through Warm Cookies + Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Brownie + Ice Cream, Vanilla Milkshake and Banafee Milkshake. I'm recommending The Hollybush Inn for patronage.

Popped in for an after work beer on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Great atmosphere and service (despite only 2 staff being on duty) Vicky was outstanding in multi tasking serving, clearing and offering first class service with a smile. I was tired just watching her run around tirelessly. A great place to pop in and relax.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, great place for a family get together or maybe meet up with friends. The staff are Happy and friendly. Food menu is good. Sat outside in the garden it was very relaxing with light music playing in the background. I would definitely come back.

Went for lunch with my father, nice meal out at decent price, good options for food and drink. Decent meal out , only one issue to be honest, one female member of bar staff / serving team was quite rude, and had very bad attitude . The younger lady that served us and came to check up on us was very nice and very attentive.

Sorry to say but I thought some feedback would be helpful. We were really disappointed with our recent experience. The tempura cauliflower starter was hard and cold, and unfortunately, the soup was also served cold. For mains, the fish and chips looked promising because of the size, but sadly it was mostly batter with very little fish inside. The chips were extremely greasy, which made them inedible. The half chicken was the biggest letdown – it tasted as if it had been microwaved rather than freshly cooked. It was very dry and completely lacked flavour. Overall, the food quality just wasn’t up to standard, and we left feeling quite unwell and disappointed. It’s a shame, as we had high hopes for this meal.

We have a monthly 3 course dinner here with about 20 guests. The food has always been excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are great, service is prompt and they are always attentive to our needs. The staff are very accommodating if there are last minute changes. I thoroughly recommend The Tardebigge and its staff.

Excellent. After last week's travesty at Beefater, Longbridge, how nice it was to come here. A lovely looking place, clean, spacious and modern. We sat in a private room for a birthday, but the service was still attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, and even during the great British salad shortage of 2023, we weren't left wanting. A great selection of food choices at reasonable prices. A decent meal with plenty of food on the plate. Advise booking as its a popular and very busy restaurant/takeaway. Plenty of parking is available on the railway car park behind the venue, which is cheap and CCTV secure. We were offered a free complimentary Bailey's and XO Whiskey on leaving 🤣🤣. More like Carolans Irish Cream and a standard cheap whiskey. Nice thought regardless so thanks. Venue allows for bring your own booze.

Our friends treated Mother and myself to dinner as a treat for our birthdays last month. 🥰 Shahi Palace have outdone themselves again!! 😲 We had a Roasted Poppadom each as appetisers with sauces for the table whilst we read the menu and placed our order. ☺️ I try to have something different each time I visit Shahi Palace. On this occasion I had Tandoori Duck Starter, Chef Special Mix Dhansak with Boiled Rice and Cobra Lager Main. And, to finish, Coffee, Mint Chocolates and a shot of Napoleon Brandy. 😋 I can honestly say it was the best meal I've ever had, utterly delicious!! 🥰 The Tandoori Duck was presented on a sizzling skillet and I saw a number of heads turn as it came through the restaurant thanks to the sweet and smokey smell. The Duck was full of flavour. Everyone on the table tried a piece and agreed it was stunning. 😯 I've never had a Dhansak before and was very pleased with my choice because it was sweet and creamy with hints of Coconut and Pineapple and just enough Curry heat to awaken taste buds that had been dormant. I can't recommend Shahi Palace enough. 👍🏻

Not a good experience. The Tandoori Chicken was ok, despite the leaking foil bag it was delivered in. The rest of the food was rather bland. The worst part was the delivery and presentation. I don’t know if it was the restaurant, or the delivery company, but the food arrived exactly two hours after ordering, and it was cold. The packages were squished tightly into a bag that was too small, and the containers were squished, bent, and leaking. It was a mess everywhere taking things out of the bag onto the counter. There were tightly tied small plastic bags containing what seemed like salads. Not well packaged. There was a doughy item we could not identify, even after tasting it. When the delivery guy came to the door, he handed me the bag silently,and I asked if they were busy, as it had been exactly two hours. He looked at his slip of paper, and said "was it? Oh yes…it was two hours…call the restaurant, it wasn’t me", and walked away. I do not believe this restaurant is really equipped to offer delivery. Two hours with no updates, and not well packaged. I can put up with food that isn’t to my taste, but the delivery and mess unpacking it all ruined the experience completely. We had ordered £45 worth of food, planning for leftovers. We threw most of it away though. We’ve complained to the delivery company, and are not sure how this will be handled. My suggestion to anyone wishing to try this restaurant would be to visit and eat in.

We drove from Birmingham to have dinner at this restaurant and I must say, it exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the service was above and beyond. I will definitely be back for more!

Hi, This restaurant is absolutely the best. I don't live in redditch, i travel from Spain regularly to visit my family. The owner and the staff are amazing. They nicknamed me " Mr Benidorm " Firstly the food is first class, the best Indian restaurant in the UK and I have eaten in lots. The staff go above and beyond and are so attentive and can't do enough for you. Their personal service is outstanding. I absolutely loved this restaurant and all involved. I fully recommend a visit even if you live far away. You will be treated like royalty and youvqontvbe disappointed in any way. Get yourself down there. After eating in Indian places all over including Birmingham, London, Leamington and Warwick I have never found one as good as this. Not only that but it is so affordable. Me and my girlfriend went, and the bill came to only around £30 for popadoms, curry, rice, naan and drinks. Despite the price, the quality is always extremely good, and the service is always really friendly.

Visited for the first time tonight and recieved excellent service, very delicious food. And a very helpful waiter who completely understood allergies and gave fantastic advise. Will definitely be returning

Had food from here a few times and service has varied significantly. When I’ve ordered takeaway as part of a group, food has arrived quick and has been good. However, my most recent order took almost 2 hours to arrive with no updates prior, no apologies for the delay, and the curries had leaked all over the bag. Will not be ordering again.

This is easily the best place for all of your curry needs in Redditch. If I want to go out for a curry, this is where I go. It is the best in Redditch . Best food, best service, hands down. I have been a customer for well over 15 years and the standards haven't slipped. My only regret is that I don't visit enough!

My friends and I turned up and saw that there were only a couple of tables occupied so asked if we could have a table for 8. Everything was fine until the manager went to take our order and I stated that I was not eating (everyone else at the table was). The manager said ‘so you didn’t need this table of 8 did you’ in a real hostile and argumentative manner. He followed this with a harsh stare and we could hear him talking about us. We were all left in shock as we had ordered plenty of food and drinks for the table (and as stated before IT WAS BASICALLY EMPTY - if it was full I would not have gone in). We then called the manager back over to confront him about his tone and service as he made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Instead of apologising like any good business owner should he was extremely argumentative and essentially told us that we should leave. All of the other members of staff are absolutely lovely but unfortunately this so called manager lets the whole team down. I often order an Essence and just can’t believe that he was so rude to paying customers. It is the worst service I have ever received.

Used to use the restaurant, but following delivery experience will no longer go there. Ordered on the Essence website, estimated 70 mins, after 2 hours called, they said the order had just gone out. 30 mins later it arrived cold, tasteless and a burnt nann. Why do greedy restaurant owners take orders they can't fulfil?

The meal was terrible. It seemed like someone hadn’t a clue how to cook. The mushroom fried rice was boiled white rice with flecks of mushroom – tasteless and bland. The tikka masala was so sweet it was inedible. I contacted Rasoi, but I never received a response.

Excellent food, excellent customer service

I recently had my 30th Birthday party in the function room here and it was such a brilliant night. So glad that we chose this venue, they were super accommodating and helpful, they organised a DJ for us, allowed us to decorate the room during the day on a busy Saturday and helped us to do this, stored our cake safely for us, cleaned the day after honestly nothing was too much trouble for them and it took the stress away knowing we were well looked after! On the night itself the bar staff were excellent, great service and the location is perfect! The function room is recently decorated and is the perfect canvas to be dressed up to suit your own colour theme and the garden is lovely. A side note to say even the pub itself is well worth a visit even if not hosting an event, friendly staff, dog friendly and serve lovely food!

Nothing was too much trouble, Alan and the team looked after us all very well. Great to see a proper local pub serving decent food and showing the sport. Will definitely be back soon

Went to coffee & cake this morning. Lovely atmosphere, friendly patrons & of course, super attentive & happy staff (thanks Sasha). Took my 3 grandkids as they were visiting. All made to feel welcome. Had a lovely sausage bap for breakfast followed by a smashing egg custard cake. Both at extremely good prices. Looking forward to visiting again soon

Just moved to the area and thought we would try this pub out and so glad we did, I'd vote it 10/10. Fantastic all round, the staff were great and the chef was outstanding. Darts board and pool table. Nice garden area out the back with a lovely nature reserve and lake, where we took our daughter to explore, also lots of parking available. Give yourselves a pat on the back and be proud of your hard work 👏

It's conveniently located close to the Kingfisher shopping centre and bus station. The pub was very busy when we arrived but we managed to get a table for late lunch. Food is freshly prepared and delicious The staff is friendly and helpful during our visit The building is beautifully decorated with plenty of history of Redditch and has a Beer garden attached for additional seatings area.

Food was mediocre to say the least. Burrito bowl was like a microwave dish, with extra bits piled on top. Burger bun was over toasted but edible. Staff are friendly enough, overall place could do with a deep clean, carpets are tired etc but it's a budget food place so don't expect the Ritz

Came here for a visit to the local area, decided needed some food and drink, got a bbq pizza 11inch noticed the rocket was missing okay, no worries with that. Finished that then ordered dessert, table getting full so stacked up the plates then ordered dessert, it came asked if they could take the plates was told busy and walked off.... okay so next time I will not come and eat here, dont mind spending my money else where

In my opinion, the better of the two Spoons in the town. Vegetarian breakfast was good, but the baked beans were cold. However, the manager brought another portion to the table. The female associates were friendly and helpful. Very good outdoor terraces, with two to the rear and one out front. If you like motorcycle memorabilia you will be pleased with some of the exhibits and photographs throughout the restaurant. May return

You get what you pay for. It's a JD Weatherspoons pub, not the Ritz. Decent enough, food is ok and cheap enough. Toilets are a mile away like all spoons.

Security too to get lock your arms behind back to remove from restaurant use excuse if being drunk being 30m before closing they will forcefully remove you depending on if they could get away with it I would like the cctv footage of that one night send me your email so I can report a case. Easily one of the best Nando’s experiences I’ve had. The food may be simple in style, but when it’s done right, it hits differently. The chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with that signature flame-grilled flavor. Even with a busy service, the staff were on top of everything—friendly, efficient, and bringing great energy to the place. A special shoutout to the girl who mainly served us—she was an absolute vibe (I think her name was Em). Super attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, and even took a moment to compliment my rings. Small things like that make a big difference. If every Nando’s ran like this one, I’d be here every week, and this is the only Nando’s I make sure to hit when back around this year art of the UK.

Our first time in Nandos and the food was lovely, the atmosphere was lovely and relaxing however, we ordered non alcoholic drinks! We had issues ordering online and went to the till, when my brother and my autistic son came back, theu said the lady read the order so fast they couldn't hear her... we poured our drinks and waited for our food... it was only afyer about 20 mins we realised she had given up alchol drinks. We do not drink for medical reasons! The defence of the lady in the shop was she read the order back to us.... she read it so fast even a grown man couldn't understand. We will go back to nandos... just not yours ! Disgraceful

First time trying this restaurant out following recommendations from family and friends and simply WOW. Aromatic curries with fluffy naans , honestly could not fault a thing. The restaurant itself is very cosy and my kids loved the lighting inside the restaurant. Very understanding staff considering my wife cannot eat gluten, Robbie came over and went through all the dishes individually to help her understand which dishes would be suitable for her dining experience. If you are into afternoon tea this is the place to go. Beautiful decor staff pleasant smart focussed and very polite. Our.lovely waitress, Jordon met our every need and left before we could express our appreciation. Our visit was a birthday present. The fayre was beautifully presented, were a joy to the palate and the neatly cut sandwiches were moist. what an appalling service, I had booked surprise Valentines meal out with my wife, I was contacted a couple of days before to make sure I was still going, (my wife answered the phone so that was the surprise over with) but not the restaurants fault. We arrived at reception at 6.50 as the table was booked for 7pm, a nice girl in reception greeted us, took my name and asked us to go into the bar and someone would be in shortly to take us through to Oscars Restaurant, we ordered a couple of drinks and sat just by the bar, 10 minutes when by followed by another 10 and another 10, by 730pm I was a little annoyed so I went to see the girl at the reception who couldnt apologise enough, grabbed the phone and again said someone would be in to get us directly, So I want and sat back down, Another 15 minutes passed and a waiter came through and I thought here we go but I was mistaken, He collected another couple who had only been sat down for 10 mins to take them in to the restaurant, over 45 minutes after the table was booked for, I would have understood if anyone had been to us and explained that it was busy (which by the looks of things really wasn't) but we were completely ignored the whole time., The staff behind the bar were having too much fun to notice us., I told the girl in reception that we were not waiting any longer and left, Not a good experience at all, Extremely disappointed to say the least.

There are lots of positive reviews elsewhere, but I don't understand why. For a Sunday evening dinner I had chicken liver pate, which was OK, except that the accompanying small piece of toast was going soggy, followed by the shoulder of pork, which was also OK, but nothing special, and mis-described (the "champ potato" seemed to be plain mashed potato, with no discernible spring onions; and if there was any Calvados in the "Calvados sauce" I could not taste it). These two courses and one 250ml glass of mediocre Shiraz came to nearly £30.

I called for a gluten free fish snd chips before closing time. Unfortunately i ended up at the wrong destination. Even though it was closing time the staff stayed open till i got there. The food was delicious and the fish was probably the best I've had. Highly recommended 👌

I live in Bournemouth. I used to life 100 yards from the inn plaice. I was surprised it was still there. The owner is very welcoming. The service is absolutely excellent. Even after twenty years of being away, it is still the best in Redditch.

Food was honestly delicious. Nice, fresh & hot. Staff are incredibly friendly and professional especially the young girls serving me. Very clean and hygienic and when i ordered gluten free was dealt with so professionally so there was no cross contamination. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you!

The outlet was quiet when I visited but lots of drive-through. I had to chase up one of the attendant for my order after 15mins that I have made payment. The young lady did said the reason for the delay was because my order was big but in reality it was £27 order. When she finally served me, she treated me like I was a dirty. Her countenance towards me and my wife says it all. I've made up my mind never to step into that outlet again.

Went with my family to have lunch and ordered a meal but was told to pay for pot Ketchup which was given free a couple of days ago when we came here. I'd advice products to either be fixed as paid or free and not at the discretion of staff members. Meal was ok, ambience was also ok.

I honestly don't know where to begin. My experience at this McDonald's was nothing short of frustrating. I went in expecting a quick meal, but I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for my food. The place wasn't even busy! It felt like the staff was completely disorganized. What really took the cake, though, was the unprofessional behavior of the employees. No sense of urgency whatsoever. I overheard one of the workers making jokes while customers were waiting. When I finally got my order, it was wrong, and they just looked at me blankly when I pointed it out. Overall, a terrible experience. Definitely not coming back to this location. McDonald's should do better.

possibly the worst possible experience i have consistently had at this site. Multiple orders have forgotten whole meals i have ordered. Fries are always cold and the delivery time is always terrible. never go to this place if you have any bit of self respect

My daughter sat in her car on the carpark with a friend who was going through a hard time. They had food and drinks. Altogether they made 3 purchases during their time there. She has now received a parking fine of £60 for over staying. Will not be returning

It is what it is. Ordered from inside restaurant, didn't have to wait too long, but as usual there were certain items unavailable for purchase. Fries were warm at best, as was the fajita crispy chicken wrap. The chilli cheese bites were warm-hot. The double cheeseburger again was warm at best along with Quarter Pounder and Apple pie, again warm. The chocolate thickshake was as it should be.... cold. The service.... ordered on the machine via me. Bought to the counter and bagged by somebody who has yet discover that they have the power of speech other than sounding out my order number.

The double cheeseburger looked like it had been in someone's pocket it was so out of shape. The milkshake was supposed to be vanilla but tasted more like a chemical cocktail, the chips were barely warm. I think I'm done with McDonald's now, it just gets worse.

went in today. 2nd July. waiting behind a young couple not knowing they've already waiting for food. I stood behind waiting patiently. when a gentleman walked in. obviously knows someone who works there, goes to talk to him. then when the couple get their food, the gentleman blatantly and knowingly gets served before I do. when I pointed this out I get served with such bad attitude and food practically thrown at me. no apology. no remorse nothing. I will not be returning which is a shame as they do nice food.

This is without the doubt the best Chippy in Redditch. The food is always top quality, fresh & served piping hot. I’ve also found that Andy’s portion sizes are much bigger than other chip shops too, which is great value for money for sure. All of the Staff are all really friendly & welcoming. I highly recommend the mixed meat kebab, absolutely delicious!

My favourite cafe and it has been for over 10 years. I don’t get to go very often anymore so now it’s a special treat to go to when I have the chance. Staff are always super friendly and the atmosphere is very chill.

Its difficult to review this nero as its always hit and miss. I've had dreadful coffee and beautiful coffee. I've experienced excellent customer service and awful. Most recently the coffee and service was good,the store was fairly quiet and seemed reasonably clean, but I'm always apprehensive as you simply can't guarantee what you'll receive.

Having our first proper date in a very long time. I chose Fish and Chips and my wife chose steak both meals came with all the trimmings. Both meals tasted absolutely amazing and the fish was more the size of a whale. Really good size portion for the price. Emma, Martin and all the Team are polite and friendly and make you feel very welcome. Highly recommend The Oast House for a meal.

We went here yesterday for my brother in law's silver wedding anniversary... He had hired a section of the pub complete with food buffet... The food was plentiful for 40 guests and the drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were on hand to assist when necessary. All in all a good it was a good do

Great little bar in the centre of Redditch with really friendly staff. There's an open fire which is perfect with all the cold weather we're having. The bar is also dog friendly (they get given a little treat and a bowl of water). It's been really nice to visit and just chill out with some friends there. Highly recommend.

Well this place has to be the worst cafe I've ever been to I've had better meals at the salvation army hostels ... Everything taste the same like grease cooked by a bunch of kids staff was rude I wouldn't feed my pet rat here . I have never wrote anything like this bad before about anyone's establishment but this place is disgusting 🫣

Been here a few times with my family, always nicely cooked food, at a reasonable price, served by smiling waitresses. Their jacket potato with beans and cheese, and salad is lovely, the potato itself is a good size, plenty of beans and cheese on top, and loads of fresh salad, it literally filled the whole plate, unlike some places you go to with a tiny bit in the middle of the plate. Can’t fault it, the go to place in the Kingfisher if you want a bite to eat, but don’t want the usual subway, or macdonalds etc EDIT, just been with the wife today, had the “Mega Breakfast” was delicious, food is well cooked, and piping hot when it comes to the table, different staff, but all smiley and gave great service .

Where do I begin? No signage so had to walk for a while to fine the place ordered 2 lattes +2 mega breakfasts £20.60 omg! Only visited because it had some really nice good reviews... dont listen to reviews!! Wow it was the absolute 💯 worst breakfast I have ever had to experience. 2 lattes looked like cups of milk and tasted horrid!! No flavour of coffee was like tinged watery milk. The beans were discoloured beige colour, and very watery, tomatoes tasted like vinegar possibly had Worcestershire sauce in.... really unpleasant, the mushrooms you could tell was old mushroom fit for the bin full of water that soaked into all of the food on the plate they had a bad odor, toast was soggy from all of the watered down items. The bacon seemed slightly edible. Only 2 things that was worth eating was the egg and the hashbrown. Whilst eating we was eyeballs by staff members making us feel very uncomfortable and it was clear the man and woman was talking in their own language about us. We didn't complain we left promptly as we felt too intimated to even get a refund or complain. I really can not believe the reviews on here are about the same place absolutely appalling food

Food was disgraceful. Brought four mega breakfasts and four drinks. After waiting 15 minutes for the drinks, The two cokes for my teenage children were in small cardboard cartons and the coffees had a foul taste. The breakfast was just as awful, the black pudding was as thin as bacon, dry and tasteless. The bacon was tough and fatty, the beans were gritty and the tomatoes tasted like vinegar. Mushrooms were watery but the hash brown was nice. Can safely say we would never return. Customer service, quality of food is diabolical

Possibly the best restaurant outside a big city. I've left the area, but still like to visit here two or three times a year. The sushi and other delights are wonderful. The plum wine is delightful. The restaurant has downsized slightly since last time, but there's still plenty of space, Japanese dress wear if you desire and the food was still delicious. It's a short walk from the train station or you can park near the college, honestly worth a visit. We've eaten in, but also enjoyed a delivery previously. It's far superior to yo sushi. Budget around £20 - £40 a head (there's a set menu at £20 each). Four of us, with starters, huge sushi platter, another main, drinks and a bottle of plum wine was around £150

What an amazing place! The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is so peaceful. The food was delicious which we enjoyed thoroughly.Cooked and served beautifully, with many options on the menu there’s something for everyone. Great portion sizes; they even have a little dress up area of kimonos.

My wife and I had recently visited Japan, and we are here with a friend who had lived in Japan for a few years. We were all really impressed with the quality of the food and service Huge menu of both Japanese and wider Asian dishes The sushi and sashimi was outstanding. The rice is the key and it's as soft and tasty as you hope it would be. We love ramen so my wife had to order it. It was very good and brought back happy food memories of the best ramen places in Japan 🍜 Friday evening and we arrived early for our table, and had great service from start to finish. Authentic beer (Asahi on draft 🍺😍) and good sake 🍶 on the drinks list Our meat eating friend enjoyed the chicken katsu curry Great experience and highly recommended

I am not one for ‘weird’ food and I do struggle with things I’m not used to. However I was surprised. It wasn’t as expected. I loved the atmosphere & the whole Japanese dress. It was lovely. The restaurant is smaller than it used to be as split in to two units. I was very happy with the food, service & location is prime! Especially if you’ve been to panto. Redditch has 5 Indian restaurants in just that area alone, plus more takeaways, we’ve got burger places, fish & chip places, Piri piri places we’ve got it all, but Japanese is kinda original. It’s nice to have something new. I’ll definitely try it again. I’m quite pleasantly surprised.

What a lovely surprise! I was dubious about going but so glad we did. I don’t understand why it wasn’t fully booked, Redditch is lucky to finally have a nice restaurant to go to! Menu was extensive but a little confusing for someone who doesn’t eat too much Japanese, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff helped out explaining what the dishes would look like and consist of. Really lovely, fresh food, presented beautifully in lovely surroundings. Looking forward to going back and trying something different! Definitely worth checking out.

Lovely food! We’ve been here several times now and always want to come back! Love the sushi and other dishes. My favourite is Salmon Lover Sushi. They give you a tablet instead of a menu and it still requires a code so they have to come back and enter it, it’s a bit strange but we don’t mind. Mango bubble juice with passionfruit bubbles is sooo yummy! Very friendly staff and delicious food. We will be back for sure.

If a posh barista vibe is your thing then this place is not for you BUT if you want a fantastic fry up in true British cafe style then look no further! Food is plentiful and delicious, and a large breakfast with coffee and all the trimmings will cost you a mere £10. However be prepared to roll yourself out of the door as you won’t leave hungry. Went while waiting for car to get fixed up at local garage. Friendly if somewhat nervous staff, forgot my brown sauce on the sausage sandwich but it was a real doorstep and tasted great. Busy place but very friendly, definitely recommend it for a quick Saturday morning treat.

Decided to try this place as i heard it was supposed to be decent so i had a take out breakfast with toast, the largest one they do and the mushrooms were missing and the toast had mould on it 🤮 absolutely disgusting and the food wasn't that brilliant for the price. Wouldn't recommend this place at all

The most amazing breakfast I've had, service is incredible and love the atmosphere and how lovely everyone is.

I chose barbecue ribs in sauce, and a portion of house special fried rice. I ate a rib first, and it was horribly salty. I couldn't risk another one, as I have high blood pressure, and I need to cut back on salt, so I ate some of the house special fried rice, and I was horrified to find it just as salty as the ribs. Hubby had beef with green peppers in black bean sauce, with boiled rice. He looked over at Mr ( I hadn't said anything) and told me it was really salty, so it wasn't just me. Sam Pan really needs to watch how much salt they put in the food. I only went there because The Golden Wok in Church Hill was closed. I won't be going to Sam Pans again.

Cheap and cheerful food, good value for money. Service is OK, but the place is busy and could do with more staff. We did not have to wait a long time for our food. The staff are very pleasant and do their best. Our food arrived hot which is a bonus these days. I have used this pub on several occasions and can honestly say the food for the price you pay is certainly good.

Sam Pam ok for your basics but not Cantonese dishes. Chicken balls Burnt again!! Chips very dry no salt and vinegar as usual even when you ask for a lot., chicken dishes are vile not the best chicken stick to beef….

Salt and pepper prawns. Small portion but good. Cantonese spare ribs - very tough and oily. Tested teeth and jaws to their limits. First visit and won't visit again.

Very disappointed. We waited for over an hour for the food which also arrived in intervals. By the time I received my dish everybody had finished there’s 10 minutes before. The BBQ steak ends I ordered was blatantly microwaved, the lettuce was even scorching hot & shrivelled. It came with the wrong sauce & no glaze whatsoever on the meat. When we questioned the staff we were told they were to busy. All in all it was a shambles. Number of wrong dishes & then when they did appear they did not match what the menu advertises. Got money & time to waste on bad food & service then this place is ideal. Goodluck!!!

Fantastic service. Me and my other half had the Vegetarian Mezzo Board with Garlic Prawns and Patatas Bravas with several cocktails for her birthday. They were considerate enough to put balloons up. Friendly Staff. Would definitely recommend this place and will not hesitate in returning.

Wow! What happened to this place?! Used to be lovely, welcoming and served food! Now, the ceiling is falling down, limited cocktails and the only food is crisps! What a disappointment. Surely Kerry and Nigel can see how bad this 8s looking now.

We came here for a birthday, they offered to put balloons up for us which was nice, on entry we were ushered to our seats by a man who didnt appear to want to be working, we asked him for drinks but he said he didnt take drinks orders but would send someone over to us, no one came until we complained. We eventually got drinks and ordered our food. Well one friend was given her food which seemed quite a large portion for one person so we asked and were told it was for one, then ten minutes into her eating it the waitress came back and said she had got 3 peoples portions! Another time the waitress said to one of us "I need to take back your prawns as someone else ordered them! My friend assured her that she had ordered them too and it was also unprofessional to give customers second hand food anyway! (She had already eaten some of them) my food never cam out at all so i shared some bread with my partner. They ran out of cocktails, no mint for the mojito either. I did comment on their facebook page as to what happened but was brushed off and the comments were removed. All in all I would not recommend. All new businesses have hiccups but rudeness is not acceptable and you dont try to take customers food from them whilst they are eating it. Needs a lot of staff training and improvements.

Ordered two box meals for delivery. OMG it was awesome. Food was early and hot and so well presented. Would highly recommend the Daddy Grill box and the Cinema box. Both were so tasty and great value for money.

We recently placed our first order with Patenga and can honestly say one of the best curries we have ever had. We both had the chicken tikka Pathia and it was the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. Portions were a great size We even had enough leftovers for the following evenings dinner. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be reordering again

Been using Patenga since they pretty much opened for business. We’ve ate in and had numerous takeaways all of which have been excellent. The staff are incredible and the food is always on point.

Excellent Indian food. The service was very kind, and the portions were a good size. The small restaurant is brightly, yet cozy, decorated. Absolutely recommended if you like Indian cuisine.

I had a very disappointing experience with Patenga Restaurant. The delivery arrived 30 minutes late, and the salmon tikka masala was extremely unpleasant — overly sweet, almost as if sugar had been added. This was not at all the authentic taste I expected. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from here again and would not recommend it to others.

Came in while away for a couple of days and sat in to eat. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Food was amazing with good portions and full of flavour. The staff even added a portion of birthday cake for my mum.

Always struggled with takeaway curries but I can honestly say Pantenga is amazing, food always turns up piping hot and tastes really good. Delivery times are also very reasonable. 10/10 from me!

The pizza was good and the toppings were nice, though the dough wasn't how it used to be which set it apart from others. It was good though not what we were expecting. We now know what to expect should we decide to order in the future.

Very disappointed with my order from Papa John’s Redditch branch. I paid £11 for a medium pizza and they served it with no cheese – basically just bread and sauce. For that price, the quality and care should be much better. Clearly not serious about customer satisfaction. I would never go back.

Worst takeaway I've ever had so bland and the dough is like cardboard I think the box it come in would have actually tasted better £40 lighter and I feel violated never again as you will see in the pics that's what was left plus a full large pizza gone straight in the bin and now having to order another meal else where

The most awful experience in the Redditch store , ended up taking the whole order back after being accused of lying about receiving the complete order by a little shouty lad behind the counter , made himself look as ridiculous as he was when the delivery driver confirms what we say is correct when we get there absolute waste of time this branch and waiting for refund! Just to add insult what we did receive was cold .

Ordered a mixed meat kebab and chips when it arrived the chicken meat didn't look cooked enough, doner meat was over cooked and the chips tasted like they had been cooked for about an hour. Would not recommend this take out for anything as you would be wasting your money .

Burnt and cold garlic bread. 30 minutes late. Cheesecake is infact not cheesecake and came open and crushed in the bag. Garlic base pizza was dry and under cooked underneath.

I’ve ordered from this place many times and usually enjoy the food, but the delivery experience through Uber Eats has been consistently poor. On one occasion, my order was completely wrong. I had to call the restaurant directly, and the owner kindly offered to sort it out by sending someone to swap the incorrect order with the right one. About 20 minutes later, someone came to the door, but instead of resolving things calmly, he raised his voice at me and aggressively demanded the bag back, saying, “I WANT THE FOOD — BETTER NOT HAVE TOUCHED THE BAG!” It was incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially considering I had just paid for the food. Honestly, if I hadn’t been as chilled out as I was, I might have reacted very differently and I would have put him on his ass and had both the orders to me and myself. The owner seems like a decent guy, but the older man with the white beard was completely out of line and left a really bad impression on the restaurant. I will not be ordering from there again, if I was to say where else to order from caprino’s & Mr. Pizza.

Terrible. Absolutely Terrible. I cant remember if i ordered a large kebab or a small salad. I cant upload images, but i can explain. When my food came, i had opened the kebab to be met with a small soggy naan, 5 pieces of donner and about 5kgs of lettuce. I even phoned up hoping for atleast an apology, but apparently it was a large, they were refusing to see an image🤣

Been using Redditch Pizza for a while now and they are one of the best takeaways in Redditch. Order is always perfect, great portion size and the guy who takes my order is friendly. I order via phone normally and the food is always delivered in the timeframe he says. Wouldn't order my takeaways from anywhere else?

On every occasion, the food has been fresh, tasty and served with a smile. The service has always been outstanding, friendly and customer focused. What a lovely cafe within the Redditch shopping centre, we discovered it when we visited the cinema a while back. Great value, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere for a cafe. The Cornish pasties are varied and tasty, a medium pasty meal with, beans, chips and and a tea or coffee is only 6.50. A real bargain. Next time we visit, I will take better photographs. Lots of great sauces too.

Just ordered 2 cheese and onion baguettes. Staff couldn't find them on the till and then tried to charge £3.50 each instead of £3. When the baguette came it tasted stale. Also, there was no butter on the baguette. Who makes a cheese baguette with no butter? Not impressed with the food. Staff were pleasant.

I went in there for lunch today + chose the crinkle chips with cheese as advertised on the menu. I ordered this at the counter to be told they only have chunky chips + the photos on the menu are not what they serve. Is this false advertising? Surely what is on the menu they should be serving? Had I not checked I would have received chunky chips which I'm not keen on. Maybe the manager/owner should have on the menu what they actually serve + not what other cafes serve? Extremely disappointed with the food.

Please understand I do reviews after 3 to 6 months not after one eat. I do recommend this fast food only if you are in a hurry and not a fixed costumer. I've purchased lunch from this outlet quite a few times now, each time believing/hoping the food would improve. Sadly it hasn't. The restaurant is clean and bright but fairly small. Staff are pleasant and normally quick to serve but the food is, basically, awful - tasteless, warm stodge. There are quite a few options for the toppings including their special Chicken Curry, for example, which tastes of nothing really. The staff fill the selected box to the brim with overly bland noodles/rice to save money so they're unable to put in too much topping. This outlet could be a little goldmine as the concept is original/good but it definitely needs some work on the menu.

It's the space there no way anyone with a pram to get through when there is a que I went here when it first opened and it was lovely it feels the food and service isn't like it used to be. Probably using cheaper products now Nice food price isn't right but it's in town so expected

Order no#709240912 I was scammed out of £20. I ordered food yesterday evening moments later around five minutes later I called to cancel the order as I was worried about an allergy. At the point of mentioning the word "CANCEL" the person's response was immediate and said that there will be No refund, the food will have to be delivered regardless. I have not received any food nor have I been refunded. I remember a time where interactions with restaurants were courteous. Two words, harsh and faceless.

We felt a little hungry after a very eventful day. Mina Indian takeaway situated on Unicorn Hill in Redditch came highly recommended ❤️ A simple phone call and their friendly staff took my order, which consisted of a chicken korma, fried rice, a portion of onion barges and a keema naan. The meal was delivered pipping hot within 30 minutes. The succulent pieces of tender chicken were buried in a rich sauce, whilst the fried rice garnished with spices looked and tasted amazing. We were surprised with a free onion salad which totally enhanced the meals flavours and experience. For £14, that’s a staggering £7 a head for a quick, reliable and quality service. One of the things I love about this pub is dogs are not encouraged inside. As someone who has allergies it is nice to come to a pub and know I can enjoy a quality pint without breaking out in hives. The cheese and onion cobs together with traditional ales make this a rare treat in a world of craft and lager. Always made to feel welcome with the regulars that always frequent the establishment. Will continue to enjoy this establishment for years to come

Real ale pub with a very fine selection of real ales, well kept and served. Occasional home-made bar snacks, always crisps etc. Real ciders, bottled beers and ciders, wines, spirits etc. Welcoming staff and cheerful customers.

The meal was an absolute delight from start to finish. The chips were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy inside. The slaw was fresh, creamy, and full of flavour, while the goujons were simply fantastic—crispy, tender, and seasoned to perfection. To top it all off, the service was excellent, making the experience all the more enjoyable.

The only vegetables on offer were carrots and a rather unappealing, sloppy cauliflower cheese. We would have left straight away, but as our friends had already started serving their meals, we reluctantly decided to stay. Safe to say, we won’t be returning to this uninspiring and soulless place again!

“Best breakfast in Redditch” That’s what I googled while staying at the Premier Inn nearby, as I wasn’t too keen on the one provided. Greenview came up, and I can see why. What a super find! Spacious car park, nice clubhouse bar, and super staff. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. £7 for the ‘par 3’ breakfast - the smallest size - including bread and butter and a drink. Highly recommended.

Ordered from here once after new owenership and it was nasty, this was many months ago so thought would try them again. What a massive mistake that was, the donner meat was small pieces of left over meat, chips were cold and nasty! When we phoned to complain they said they have a new person. Look at the pictures and make your own mind up! Disgusting, stay away and save your money!!

Unfortunately, the food quality was so poor. We ordered pizza and literally there was no toppings to mention. We ordered stuffed crust (kebab) and we got cheese instead. We a great experience at caspian in Birmingham but this one was nothing like that.

Everytime I order the delivery time seems to be later and later. My delivery is now over an hour late and get told the same "5 minutes mate driver on the way" when I call up. A shame because the food is usually good but the waiting time is an absolute joke.

Food wasn't awful but not particularly great either, chicken fillet burger tasted very very cheap and poor quality, I ate as much as I did because I was so hungry after the hour and half I waited for it to be delivered. They were very rude on the phone when we called to check on the order.

Food arrived fairly quick however, handed over money to delivery driver and he bolted quicker than Hussain Bolt. It soon became apparent that the driver had popped a can of Cherry Coke which leaked through my hallway and kitchen till I placed it in the sink so the bag could drain off, upon opening the food it was barely luke warm and required microwaving, the cheese on top of the cheesey chips was not melted, kebabs were just warm and the chicken fillet burger was infact not a fillet at all but merely a cheap batter type coated farmfoods chicken burger. The chips did not look fresh either as they were mainly hard, over cooked and dry as the Australian outback, as if they had been in the fryer multiple times. Even the dog turned her nose up at the chips which had hit the floor nearly splintering the laminate. Overall this was very disappointing, leaving not only a bad taste in my mouth but my stomach feeling as if my throat had been cut as I couldn't possibly force myself to eat this gormet meal. Will definately be advising friends and family to steer well clear to avoid such a traumatic dinner time experience. I did try to call Caspian but clearly they were celebrating the successful delivery to me of a previously rejected order maybe from the day before meaning they couldn't possibly have heard the phone ringing over the celebrations.

Please avoid! They are using the names/logo and menu of the caspian group in Birmingham but are nothing like them. Pizza was of a very poor standard and it was made incorrectly. When I asked them about this I got alot ot attitude on the phone

Got the three pizzas for £10 deal. They looked and tasted like something you get from Iceland and stick in the microwave. Hard to believe they are so bad seen as it took them 1 and a half hours to deliver it on a Sunday night. No money off nothing free for being double the time they said. Poor quality food and awful service. Try somewhere else.

The staff can be really slow sometimes when they see a queue. They are very friendly and they do apologise for keeping you. It just seems they see alot of customers and a particular male just goes slow. Then the female staff kick in to help and then the queue goes down very quickly

staff love to have a friendly 5-10 minute chat with each individual customer before serving which causes queues that go right out the door. Never seen them once in a rush to sort this often times only one person left to serve while the rest “look busy” i can’t comprehend why they don’t put more servers on counter I’ve never seen more than 2 people serving & i believe there is 4 computers to serve from. Employe more competent staff maybe a decent manager can sort that mess out in all my years of hospitality haven’t seen nothing like it

I don’t know what they were doing today, but they had under the coffee machines open cleaning it out and no one could stand near the counter due to the horrible stench very unhygienic. Edit: Also got home and the food was cold and had the smell of rotten milk. HORRENDOUS do not go Service was terrible

I've literally obtained a visa to move countries quicker than the queen goes down here when the old.ladies are on ,they all limping about in pain and take ages looking at everyone rolling there eyes ,,we are going to work we have little time this defeats the object I could have sat in Costa and been quicker ,,coffee machine never works and everyone hates there job there it's a mess ,,waiting in a cue for half hour to find coffee machine broke then the girl gobs off when u say should be a sign lol

Poor disabled access, almost like disabled people are not even thought of or supposed to shop there, there is no counter for disabled use and could not reach the counter to pay or collect my stuff, felt really out of place, embarrassed 😳 and upset, even the queue system is not suitable for the disabled ♿, so narrow and stands in way, then they've added more chairs an tables, I understand why as people need to sit an eat but it's also not fair that I couldn't get around like able people!!!!!! I left feeling alienated and anxious and not appreciated as a customer!!!!!! Car park just as bad, see photos I have added, I mean they are by a hospital and also various other places that disabled people could be and decide they wanted a greggs, I say don't bother!!!😤

Ordered hot chicken and rice. The blandest chicken and rice I've had. No flavour whatsoever. Rice was white and barely any chicken. They forgot the sauces, we went back to get it. Still gave us less than we asked than they usually give out.

Quick service! Staff are so friendly! I ordered the paneer pasta and it tastes AMAZING! Defo coming back to Redditch Pepes for my lunch!

On both occasions the food has been of a very high standard, very tasty and the customer service I received has been the best I've had from a Pepe's 🤝🏽 My order on both occasions consisted of the following: 5 Chicken Tender Strips (Mild) 🍗 Large Piri Piri Fries 🍟 Large Coke (Pepsi) 🥃 x2 Garlic sauce pots 🧄 The Chicken strips were full of flavour and cooked to perfection. If ordering via Über Eats it allows you to select how cooked you would like them, on the 1st time trying I asked for them to be cooked "normal" and on the second time I asked for them to be "well done". Both time this was done and absolutely no problems whatsoever. Moving onto the Fries 🍟. THE BEST TASING PIRI PIRI FRIES IVE EVER EATEN! 💯. I not exaggerating I've tasted other versions of what some chicken shops class as "Piri Piri Fries 🍟" and these are on a completely different level! There is a very unique taste and crispyness to the fries and I would happily come just for the fries if I ever wanted to. We're regulars and usually have great experiences, but unfortunately, yesterday was disappointing. The chicken tasted old, and the rice was slushy, which really surprised us, given the usual quality. I'm hoping this was just a one-off.

I placed order on pepes app twice tonight, both times have not been accepted/been rejected. Phone never picked up when tried calling. Seems Pepe's don't want to have customers any more?... Previously also have called to ask what's going on with my order as I haven't received confirmation, they said its on the way and will be with me in 40 minutes. Then much much sooner food turned up piping hot, so to me seemed like someone forgot to make it.🤷‍♀️ never had such bas service. Always very speedy deliveries way before the estimated time. VERY UNHAPPY

I had a disappointing experience , particularly in how they treated. The behaviour displayed by the staff, especially with asians, was notably rude and unprofessional. While an older gentleman didn't know how to engage in a respectful manner

Great place tucked away in Redditch. Not an Indian grill place for miles so glad we had a nice experience and that it wasn’t just overinflated prices in a good catchment area. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the sun. Food most importantly was very tasty. Coming from someone who’s travelled from Birmingham where grills are a dime a dozen, I was pleasantly surprised and so was my wife. The kebab naans were delicious and something I’ve not come across before. Service top notch, really friendly staff and very attentive. Highly recommend trying it out if you’re in the area

I had a wonderful meal tonight with my friend. The food was fantastic and beautifully cooked. Prices are very reasonable for food and drinks. Staff are lovely and helpful. It was my first visit. I was totally impressed and will be returning often.

Excellent place. Meats are not halal, so I had to try veg option. We ordered butter paneer, daal makhni (medium spice) and masala prawn with butter naan. All 3 curries deserve 5 stars. I heard mix grill platter is the best.

ok so read a review about the best keema naan they ever had so popped in to grab a couple of naans tonight as i was cooking my own indian at home, i ordered to take away a keema naan and a peshwari naan! i can honestly say they were the two worst naans i have ever had especially for the price too, keema naan £4.25!! peshwari £4, these were like 2 naans from the supermarket, there was a tiny almost see through layer inbetween a tiny rubbery excuse for a naan i had ever seen and the peshwari was just burnt and the same, was planning to visit for a sit down meal to try this place with the family but will certainly not be now. poor

What a fantastic place! Inside is crisp & clean. The toilets are so wonderful - you could eat your dinner in there! (The best I've ever seen!) 😁 We were a table of 6, we all had gorgeous food. Utterly scrumptious. Exactly what we'd asked for. Really great service too. I can't fault any of our visit & we'll definitely be back. Happy days!!! 🥰

Superb. Food was spot on, mixed grill portions are big, great for sharing if you have sides with it. Very nice venue, staff are friendly, pints are decent, price is reasonable and the footys usually on. What more can you ask for?

Thought we'd try something new. First impressions, was very busy but found a table quickly, great atmosphere friendly staff, super fast service. Food came really quick and thats where in got interesting everything looked 1980s my jalferzi was bright yellow and had supermarket mixed veg in, the chicken was well cooked but had very little taste for tikka, my pilau rice had mixed veg in and my Naan seemed shop brought and was cold and hard. For the price, it was very disappointing. Great as a pub, but as a curry house needs some work.

We called in to try the Don Pulentos Mexican food and we were not disappointed! Great service by Tom who took us to our table, took our drinks and food orders and also brought our orders to the table. Tom was a brilliant person for “front of house”. Our food came piping hot and filled to the brim of all the fantastic aromas and flavours of the Mexican nation. We both had burritos with the wife having the “Umph” alternative being vegetarian, and fries on the side. It was enough to satisfy the healthiest of appetites. It’s certainly worth a try if you haven’t yet or alternatively you can order a delivery on Just Eat

So. Booked a wake for mother’s funeral. Staff well aware that this was for the fundal of our mother yet they put posters for Mothers Day on the table. Appreciate that this is a business but clearly rather thoughtless. For the buffet, we asked for gluten free for 5 people but no gluten free. Apparently, the chef got it wrong. Staff were quite abrupt. Buffet wasn’t great. All in all, not the best experience and there is far better out there.

Just attended. My mother in laws wake . Firstly I cannot believe the room hired by the family , had Mother’s Day menus on , considering it was the wake of a dearly beloved mother , grandmother and dear friend. The lady serving us was extremely abrupt and insensitive to the situation. The menu ordered was not correct to the one presented. However , being such a close family and with respect we celebrated and she had a good send off . Albeit the service was appalling.

We came for a valentines meal at Don Pulento's. Cannot fault it, the food was amazing and the service was great. We have been enjoying takeaways from Don's for a long time so it was nice to be able to get the great food with the restaurant atmosphere!

First time here for my friends birthday and what a lovely pub it is. Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. The singer that was on was also 1st class act. I will be returning soon.

I attended a party here and I really enjoyed the place. I found the staff very friendly and polite. I was drinking a pale ale which was going down far too easy. Toilets were clean and tidy. Extra car parking space at the back.

Where do I start? I held a surprise 50th Birthday Party for my husband at The Village Inn. I wanted somewhere we hadn’t been to, so he wouldn’t catch on. What a find! I hired their function room out, which was free as I purchased a buffet. From start to finish, the landlady and staff were amazing. They popped the decorations up for me, had all the buffet laid out and directed the guests through to the function room in preparation for the surprise. Jules and Jack were working on the night and from start to finish were so lovely and welcoming. Jules even called taxis for a lot of the guests at the end of the night. Everyone had an amazing time! Thank you so much for making the night so special. We will definitely be in soon for a drink!

Wonderful educational concept. A great way teach the students real world skills and get them ready for working life. The food was really high quality, well cooked and flavours were great. Only negative was the beef being a bit tough but they're still learning so it's understandable. Value for money is excellent as the lunch is only £6.95 for a 3 course meal.

First visit for me today for afternoon tea to celebrate a special birthday with friends. Couldn't fault a thing and definitely recommend if you want an afternoon tea with a difference. Music from the students was really good and the band were excellent. Well done to all concerned xx

1st Christmas lunch of the season today with some friends. The table was set beautifully, the food was delicious, and our lovely waitress Sharne (I'm sorry if I've spelt that incorrectly) was so helpful and friendly. Can't wait for our next outing there.

Cold food, sausage bap cold sent it back for a replacement no sign of the new one been sitting 20 minutes. Children running around with one kicking a football. Tables full of empty and used plates. Not a pleasure being here at all, the cafe has gone down hill rapidly, I feel sorry for the staff who work here. Will not be comin back again

We had two breakfasts via UberEats. How any member of staff thought these sausages were OK to send to customers is beyond me. Thankfully, I was fully reimbursed by UberEats. Never again. Do NOT recommend.

Great for a lukewarm breakfast. It used to be great value. Glad my toddlers meal was free to be honest. And I'm sure they can afford new pots for the beans. Chips all over the bowls. The service was quick though. The bacon looked see through. Meh.

Well what can I say.. It's obvious Morrisons management don't read these reviews because nothing gets done. 40 minutes wait for food. Vegan breakfast came with an egg. Serving pots all three badly chipped.. someone's review from a year ago mentioned this and still the same.. Overall a disappointing visit.

If you get the breakfast be prepared to be underwhelmed. The sausage were that cremated that they looked like a pile of dog mess that has been sitting in your garden in the sun for at least a week. Bacon was anaemic, egg was under and jelly like. Tomato was barely cooked. When I told them they absolutely incinerated the sausage they told me they have to be served overcooked for safety? They then returned with another set of completely cremated sausages.

What is the point In a coffee station when no one mans it?? There was a queue of people waiting for drinks and no one there, no one to ask on the cafe floor either as they was all in the back doing god knows what. Surely you should have someone out on the cafe area at all times. Rubbish on tables that have been left on here since we have arrived and we have been here for 30 minutes. Morrisons seems to not give a care. So you can just come in a rob the place. Open to all!
